DEAR DIARY

HI ITS ME AGAIN HAYDEN!! I WOULD’VE WRITTEN LAST NIGHT BUT REO DISTRACTED ME THE WHOLE NIGHT AS SOON AS I WALKED IN THE DOOR! ( THAT MAN SOMETIMES I SWEAR!!!! ) YESTERDAY WAS MY FIRST MEETING WITH SOME OF THE KNIGHTS OF REPETESNE AND WE PRACTICED SPARRING. HEART AND REALTA WERE THERE TOO I WAS SO EXCITED!!! MY FIRST MATCH WAS AGAINST ALYSSANDEUR! HES ALSO A LIGHT ELF! BUT HES A NIGHTBORNE! AND HES FRIENDS WITH REO!!! HES SUPER NICE AND I THINK WE WILL BE GOOD FRIENDS TOO. HE SAYS HE IS STILL LEARNING TO WIELD LIGHT LIKE A PALADIN SO I LOOK FORWARD TO HELPING HIM LEARN!!

MY OTHER MATCH WAS REALLY INTENSE. I WAS CHALLENGED AGAINST ONE OF THE LIEUTENANT COMMANDERS! HIS NAME IS XALIAN AND HE’S REALLY STRONG. ALMOST TOO STRONG. HE REALLY GAVE ME A BEATING IN OUR SPAR. I HAVEN’T HAD MY REAR HANDED TO ME THAT HARD SINCE I WAS FIRST SQUIRING AND TRAINING TO BE A PALADIN! SOMETHING WAS STRANGE WHEN HE WAS ABLE TO HEAT UP MY ARMOR AND USE FIRE MAGIC. I’VE NEVER SEEN A PALADIN DO THAT BEFORE! I DID GET A LITTLE BURNED, IT HURT A LOT BUT IT GOT HEALED AFTERWARDS AND HE SAID HE WAS SORRY. HE SAID HE HADN’T HAD A GOOD FIGHT LIKE THAT IN ALONG TIME SO I REALLY IMPRESSED HIM!! AND GUESS WHAT! YOU’RE NOT GUNNA BELIEVE THIS DIARY, BUT HE SAID HE’S A DRAGON!!! ISN’T THAT CRAZY!!!

The <Knights of Repentance> is a faction of heroes who have banded together to preserve innocent lives and lessen the casualties of those fighting in this war. We are dedicated to missions in reconnaissance, search and rescue, research and artifact hunting, and more. While not outright treasonous or anti-Horde, we are not supporters of either faction in this war, and intend to simply ensure a future remains in the ashes of the war no matter the cost.

To the public, KoR appears only to be a group of search and rescue specialists and mercenaries, nothing more – only those inside know their true motives.

How to Apply?

Visit our website, and fill out our application there, or approach one of our officers in-game. You can also send an in-game letter to any of the following: Seaandra, Moonshinier, Dawnstrigoi, Alyssandeur, Aldunith, Tesran, Coriadrei, or Vyrial, or message us here on Tumblr!

After approval, you’ll be invited to the guild and our Discord server, and will be able to attend any and all of our events!

    Ranks and Divisions:

There are two general ranks that you begin with upon joining the Knights before you can advance to a special role.

Initiate - When you first join, you will be granted the rank of Initiate. You cannot progress further until you have: 1) Completed the Application on our website, and 2) Attended a general training session held at Recompense Village on Sundays. Once both of these steps are completed and you pass the session, you will earn the rank:

Knight - The standard IC rank that officially lists you as a member of the Knights of Repentance, dedicated to the cause of protecting the innocent and Azeroth’s future. Knights can attend all events and earn XP per session, which will allow them to purchase bonus items from the Quartermaster.

    Special Ranks:

There are four ranks each Knight can take on depending on their skillsets and work to fit in with the organization more efficiently. Each rank reads:

Dragoon - The primary combatants and heavy hitters of the Knights. Warriors, paladins, hunters, martial artists – anyone capable of holding a weapon to the enemy and bringing them to their knees are eligible to become a Dragoon, and bolster the might of the Knights.

This division is led by Coriadrei Thistleblade.

Wraith - The recon and stealth persons of the Knights. Wraiths are responsible for incognito missions and intel extraction without detection, to move as silent as a shadow, and serve as the eyes and ears for the Knights, securing a sure victory with their deadly tact.

This division is led by Vyrial Soneireux.

Seraph - The healers and medics for the Knights. Be you a caster of the Light, one with nature, or simply knowledgeable in the arts of first aid and medical practices, you have the power of saving a life and giving the wounded a second chance.

This division is led by Tesran Lightslinger.

Erudite - The scholars, archivists and researchers of the Knights. Knowledge is power, and with the enlightenment of the finds of relics and other research and a drive to find answers, an Erudite can bring insight and understanding of the world we must preserve.

This division is led by Alyssandeur Wrenwood.

Specializations

Primary: Arcane Secondary: N/A, there is only arcane

Talents

First tier: Amplification    Veros is able to cast more than the average arcanist due to his skills honed in the arcane and mana pools. Where one caster can hurl a couple missiles, Veros can hurl double in the same amount of mana. 

Second tier: Shimmer     Veros can use the arcane to blink and shimmer multiple times in rapid succession, successfully evading attacks and uncomfortable situations.

Third tier: Mirror Image    This is a spell Veros loves to utilize. Need to clean? Duplicate yourself. Want to throw off your enemy and deal devastating blows? Duplicate. Want to play a quartet but you’re by yourself with four instruments? Duplicate. His favorite way of utilizing his mirror images is by having them wield swords and surround an enemy target, slashing furiously at every angle while Veros regains his arcane charges.

Fourth tier: Charged Up     Speaking of arcane charges, Veros, as a leywalker, is able to instantly transfer power and energy from the leylines directly into himself, filling himself with power as a quick, devastating arsenal without ever missing a beat or draining from his own mana supply.

Fifth tier: Ring of Frost     This is actually a spell his water elemental, Laekus taught him! Summon a runic circle empowered by frost, but with his own twist, fueled by the leylines. Typical temperature manipulation by encoded arcane means, drawn into the right runes to create a frozen trap. Elementary!

Sixth tier: Reverberate     Arcane explosion is where Veros excels. Of COURSE its explosions would grant him benefits, especially as a conduit for power. Though arcane explosion can cause a burning pain after overuse, the benefits of it include a faster regeneration of mana to produce more explosions, making each attack more and more deadlier. At the expense of himself.

Seventh tier: Overpowered    Did I mention he’s a conduit for power and exceeds beyond the average arcanist? This talent is the embodiment of that. Less mana usage but same firepower, if not better. More damage, more force, but not nearly as taxing as a normal magi. If it takes an hour for a mage to tire of their spells, it takes a day for Veros to tire of his.

PvP Talents

First Tier: Adaption    Be quick on your feet, take each blow but don’t stop, adjust, improvise, adapt, overcome.

Second Tier: Temporal Shield     Temporal and chronomatic spells are not used frequently, but when it is, it’s purely for support and healing. With this shield, any damage he would suffer is rewinded in time.

Third Tier: Kleptomania     In a swipe of a hand, Veros can steal every buff, enchantment, and helpful magical plus added to you and apply it to himself, empowering himself with dangerous ease. 

Fourth Tier: Dampened Magic     If he’s trained himself for thousands of years to control, absorb, and retain energy like some kind of sick power sponge, with every single leyline ink runic tattoo on his body designed specifically for holding onto a larger mana supply, wouldn’t you think that magical spells that hit him would be absorbed and reused for his own arsenal? You’re just making him stronger, it’s not hurting as much as you think it is. Reduce, reuse, recycle, bitch.

While harnessing power from a large fragment of  Twisted Light Essence, Seilune and the other Agents discover that Veros’ snowy hair has now been painted black. Knowing full well what this means for the Archivist, Seilune is unable to hide her worry and concern. It was apparent now that the void corruption within her beloved had begun to spread at a rapid rate. Upon discussing this revelation with Veros, Seilune pondered the idea of the corruption being transferred to another being. 

She offered to carry the burden.

“I would never let you take on such a horrible curse, my flower, NEVER. I love you my dear, but that is something I would never inflict upon you.”

Alyssandeur Wrenwood eavesdropped on the private conversation between Seilune and Veros, though he was unable to be silent enough to keep up the ruse. Once discovered, he interjected that he would like to be somehow involved in Veros’ healing and purging of the Void. 

At first, Veros was upset with Seilune and Alyssandeur for patronizing him and for their prodding, but soon realized that the two of them simply care for him.

“I’ve never known such a closeness like this before, I-I cherish it. And I thank you – I’ve been frightened by this whole thing, I did not want to stress anyone else out by having them worry about me.“

Last Sunday, the Knights concluded the final arc of “Into the Tides”, picking up from the day after rescuing Fardevir and assisting him. With supplies gathered, a night of rest, and some recuperating done, they listen in on Fardevir’s intel on where the naga encampment is precisely, and where they were keeping Alsiardo and the rest of the prisoners.

The Knights are on the move, closing in on a massive, ancient Kaldorei terrace that had long since fallen to ruins, engulfed in the beauty of the wildlife, and swarming with naga. In the center of the Terrace, the powerful naga lord and void caster that had defeated the Shal'dorei a month ago, Lord Javae'ta, stood with his back turned, facing an unstable glowing Trident that fed off the life forces of several prisoners, one of which being none other than Alsiardo. It would appear there were seven of them at first, three of them dead from the ritual. 

Guarding Javae'ta was the enchantress Lady Se'vana that defeated them the day before, and upon seeing them arrive, she insists that they are out of time to finish empowering the Trident. Javae'ta agrees, and in an unexpected move, impales Se'vana, drawing her own life essence and soul straight into the Trident and tossing her aside, facing the Knights as they came forth. They begin the assault, finding Javae’ta a more powerful foe than last with this Trident, eventually downing two of the Knights, but not without the naga lord being weakened. In an attempt to rush the ritual, Javae’ta ended up draining and killing two more of the prisoners to no avail. 

As he held Alyssandeur aloft, ready to strike and impale him, Alsiardo, having been freed thanks to Fardevir and Valdrisan, manages to swipe the Trident from Javae'ta, the power from the Trident invigorating the monk with the needed strength to impale the naga, and end him once and for all. The Trident, expended of its power from the incomplete ritual, lets out a powerful shockwave as Alsiardo and Javae'ta collapse, the wave destroying the barrier that protected them and wiping out the naga that were left in the camp, leaving silence in the Terrace, and victory at long last. Fardevir and Alsiardo were finally brought home to recuperate, ending this conflict of the tides once and for all.
