What is a connectivity & positivity project?

In layman’s terms, the project is fairly straightforward! A connectivity project aims to connect people who have similar interests across an activity, whereas a positivity project aims to be positive. The goal of this blog is to promote roleplay across Final Fantasy XIV and serve as a directory for people to find like-minded individuals to hang out with.

Who runs this project?

This project was created and is maintained by yours truly, Kupo-mod! You may also know me as Alexstraza-mod from WRACONNECT! As for my real identity, however? I’d like to keep that a secret! This is not to create animosity or stir up drama – it’s a personal choice to keep the blog free of any perceived bias and allow me to exist with relative anonymity in the community. However, if you have any concerns, feel free to message me and I’ll do my best to sort the issue out!

You reblogged something from an abuser! How do I go about contacting you?

First of all, thank you for bringing these kinds of issues to my attention. I don’t know everyone in the community so there is a chance that problematic content may be promoted as a result. Though the protocol for reporting was covered in my rules section, I’ll highlight it here too:

MOOGLEMEET has an anti-bullying policy, and I believe that everyone is entitled to a fair chance and room for change free of bias. However, having been a victim of abusers myself, I understand that protecting past and future victims is also extremely important and shouldn’t be ignored for the sake of appearances. This means I have to toe the line of enforcing rules but also ensuring innocent people aren’t being hurt by those with malicious intent.

If you see content/characters on this site that are owned or managed by abusers, I ask that you submit a claim with evidence detailing their actions. I cannot do anything without proof, so I stress the absolute importance of this. Without evidence, the best I can do is keep an eye on that person and ask that any new instances of toxic behaviour are recorded and submitted to me. Though it’s an unfortunate policy for those who did not screenshot/document their situation, this is the most balanced response to the issue. If I identify a user, they will be blocked and their content will be deleted.

Under no circumstances will I reveal who made a claim.

I have an idea/character/event/free company that is currently under construction! Can I post it here to generate interest?

Of course! MOOGLEMEET is not limited to pre-created ideas. If you have a work in progress that you’d like to gauge interest, go right ahead!

I see you post a lot of Balmung/Mateus content! Do you plan on expanding to other servers/data centres?

Though this question was more applicable when the servers were segregated, the core point still applies: Because a lot of the smaller servers tend to be insulated when it comes to their roleplay communities, there often isn’t a lot of information about them. Without knowing where to look, I can’t hope to promote content beyond the major servers and their data center. It’s up to those people in the smaller places to let me know they’re around! I’m hoping the introduction of a data center-wide search will assist in this matter and, the more times the blog is tagged to a particular server or data centre, the more I’ll know where to look. If you’re on a smaller server, PLEASE tag or im me your content! I want to promote you, too!

Are you looking for mods?

Not at this moment! WRACONNECT is moderated by Onyxia-mod in the wake of my disinterest in World of Warcraft, which gives me more time to dedicate here! However, if things do change, I will update accordingly.

The <Knights of Repentance> is a faction of heroes who have banded together to preserve innocent lives and lessen the casualties of those fighting in this war. We are dedicated to missions in reconnaissance, search and rescue, research and artifact hunting, and more. While not outright treasonous or anti-Horde, we are not supporters of either faction in this war, and intend to simply ensure a future remains in the ashes of the war no matter the cost.

    Ranks and Divisions:

There are two general ranks that you begin with upon joining the Knights before you can advance to a special role.

Initiate - When you first join, you will be granted the rank of Initiate. You cannot progress further until you have: 1) Completed the Application on our website, and 2) Attended a general training session held at Recompense Village on Sundays. Once both of these steps are completed and you pass the session, you will earn the rank:

Knight - The standard IC rank that officially lists you as a member of the Knights of Repentance, dedicated to the cause of protecting the innocent and Azeroth’s future. Knights can attend all events and earn XP per session, which will allow them to purchase bonus items from the Quartermaster.

    Special Ranks:

There are four ranks each Knight can take on depending on their skillsets and work to fit in with the organization more efficiently. Each rank reads:

Dragoon - The primary combatants and heavy hitters of the Knights. Warriors, paladins, hunters, martial artists – anyone capable of holding a weapon to the enemy and bringing them to their knees are eligible to become a Dragoon, and bolster the might of the Knights.

This division is led by Coriadrei Thistleblade.

Wraith - The recon and stealth persons of the Knights. Wraiths are responsible for incognito missions and intel extraction without detection, to move as silent as a shadow, and serve as the eyes and ears for the Knights, securing a sure victory with their deadly tact.

This division is led by Vyrial Soneireux.

Seraph - The healers and medics for the Knights. Be you a caster of the Light, one with nature, or simply knowledgeable in the arts of first aid and medical practices, you have the power of saving a life and giving the wounded a second chance.

[WRA-A] LIONSRAGE REAVERS IS RECRUITING!

We would like to expand our guild by a handful of members following its recent founding in order to progress toward our pre-BFA goals.

THE PREMISE

Built from the ashes of the Alliance-affiliated cross between a mercenary band and a Northern Kingdoms militia, the Lionsrage Reavers has a particular focus on mercenary work this time around. We operate as an Alliance-serving band of mercenaries willing to take any job provided, so long as it pays enough gold. The gold is then used to further our characters’ individual agendas through things like creating bases or focusing on particular locations in Azeroth befitting to their desires.

OOCly, we want to focus on bettering our writing and creating fantastic stories, not only through our individual characters but on a grander more collaborative scale. All the while, of course, we want to explore the depths of Warcraft lore and explore new content provided to us in an in-character way.

Lawful neutral mercenary band with a focus on building individual character progression through larger plotlines and collaborative character arcs. We do a variety of contracts - some DM'd events and others simply tasks to be done by smaller groups when desired. We are looking for non-guild individuals for certain roles too.

AVAILABILITY ⤥ As far as in-game, I work from 12 PM ST up to around 8 PM ST from Monday to Friday. Most of my availability will be late at night or on the weekends. My availability on discord is a lot better in terms of flexibility, as it’s a helluva lot easier to pop in and reply when I can find little pockets of time to do so. All in all, a mixture of in-game and discord roleplay would be preferable with my current schedule, unless you also play late at night!

STYLE ⤥ In the past, I’ve been most comfortable with descriptive in-game RP supplemented with a ton of OOC communication, plotting and filling in gaps. However, because of a large change in my work schedule and experiencing Hurricane Harvey’s destruction - which knocked my internet out for two weeks - I’ve turned a lot of my attention to roleplay in discord as it provides an easier medium of quick, descriptive storytelling between precious in-game shenanigans. PHYSICAL SUMMARY ⤥ The Stromic woman stands shorter than most women, a certain thick stoutness making up her body type. Her build is lean with broad shoulders and strong hips. Once, she was almost impossibly muscular, built like an immovable object. Now, however, her muscles ripple over her figure in a more concentrated, soft way - commanding strength, but focused in speed and mobility, just like her armor’s style. 

Aderith has tanned skin from constant outdoor activity and a naturally sun-favoring complexion. Freckles spread, light brown, across the bridge of her nose and scatter, just slightly, toward her forehead and temples before vanishing. The same patterns can be found across the tops of her shoulders and forearms. 

Her hair is sun-bleached, but a soft dirty blonde. It hangs past her shoulders and is often thrown into a high ponytail, headgear permitting.  A thick, scar carves itself down through her covered left eye, stopping just before the eyelid and continuing across the bridge of her nose, to end just over the right corner of her lip. Smaller scars dot her jawline and forehead. The inside of her left hand is marred by scar-tissue, evidently wounded by fire repeatedly and quickly healed each time.

WELL-KNOWN HISTORY ⤥  She’s the daughter of a Stromic merchant refugee. A stonecutter first, general good-doer second, Aderith more than likely has a generally good reputation for her pro-Alliance works, particularly dealing with Stormwind’s reconstruction after the Cataclysm. Some may know about her involvement with the Children of Lothar, a particularly Kingdoms-centric group focused on keeping the homefront safe. 

As a hobby, Aderith brawls and, in the past, arena matches. She has a variety of trophies from winning these matches.

[WRA-A] HOUSE SOVEREIGN IS RECRUITING!

We would like to expand our guild by a handful of members before we begin the first chapter of our campaign — we are currently in the thick of pre-plotting for our exposition-based prologue.

THE PREMISE

Following the fall of Gilneas, House Sovereign rallied to their forested coastal land south-east of Gilneas City. Unable to take back all of their baronies, the House collapsed around Rookscove Keep — intent on slowly reclaiming their lands north of the Blackwald while coping with Azeroth's changes at large. In addition to the general aspirations of regaining their former glory, House Sovereign yields an impressive magical school — at its head, the Lady of the House. Students of various specialties and beliefs filter into the program, often graduating to the elite squad of House magi.

ABOUT US

House Sovereign was created, initially, as a side project to showcase characters with ethically questionable intentions and to satisfy the itch for darker, heavier themes. The idea was to tap in to the system of a noble house - the bureaucracy, the history, the familial unity and the intrigue of maintaining a specific area of land - while keeping in mind the state of Gilneas as a kingdom.

Additionally,  though using the framework of a noble house to cover the cult-esque magical intrigue isn’t the most creative and original of ideas, the dynamic between a house’s desire to rebuild, a lingering darkness beneath the surface and the constant threat of Gilneas’s contested territory has allowed us a wide window of creativity.

Fire & Ice Arena is not for the feint of heart. This arena is held twice a year to reflect the harshest of seasons. Fire a reflection of summer and Ice a reflection of winter. The hardest times of the year for everyone. A time when people are on edge and need a little outlet. There is no restrictions on how you fight, magic, weapons, even pets are allowed to be used. Test out your ability among others from the smallest of Vulpera to the tallest Zandalari Troll. Good way to exercise that need to swing that sword around during this time of peace. Just be sure to ice that limb so it can be reattached in the end.

Don’t call it a comeback, we’ve been here for years!

Now that people are starting to get settled into the new, expansion, I figured this would be a great time to tell you all about the RP-packed-weekend Firebrand Enterprises has planned soon!  It all begins on the 17th of December with the first annual Winter Gala, a follow up to our successful Midsummer celebration!

.............................................................................................................................. Moving on Saturday, the 19th, the Gilded Market and Auction opens its doors once again! Just in time for you to find that perfect Winter Veil gift.

................................................................................................................................ And Sunday the 20th sees everything end with the Guppy Bowl! Yeah, we’re finally opening the competition up to the general public!

So what is the Guppy Bowl? It’s a roleplaying competition that takes elements of Junkyard Wars, Iron Chef, and Shark Tank, files off the serial numbers, and takes all the credit! Round 1: Everyone shows up and gets split up into their respective teams. Spaces are limited and there’s no telling who you’ll get teamed up with, so come early and come prepared! Round 2: The teams are given tools, a pile of basic building supplies and a theme. They may be given lumber and asked to build something fashion related. Or a heap of scrap metal and tasked with making something pirate-centric!  Step 3: The twist! A special element is introduced that must be worked into the product in some way! Jars of gunpowder, a barrel of fish, ten pounds of glitter; the only limitation is your imagination! Step 4: Advertising time! Now that you have your brilliant invention, your team will have to craft a sales pitch! Do your best to convince the judges and audience why your product deserves to win! Be prepared to answer questions about your product!  Step 5: After the judges and audience give their opinions, the winning team will be announced! Each member will receive substantial gold prize, as well as the potential honor of having the rights to their invention purchased by Firebrand Enterprises for future use!  Even if you’re not competing, you’re invited to join in as a spectator or audience participant! Root for your friends as they invent and market their way to victory! .......................................................................................................................... Gonna be home for New Year’s? Come join the fun in Booty Bay!

I’ve always preferred to celebrate this holiday from the comforts of my own home for a variety of reasons (covid being yet another this year), and I know I’m not alone in this! So if you’re home and looking for something to do, grab a drink (if that’s your thing), and come hang out in Booty Bay!  There will be music, fireworks, and probably dancing to be had!

This event is not hosted IC by anyone in particular, although I will try to post anchors day of when I know who is coming (and when I know who I’m bringing)! I’ll be out there around 6pm PST, but feel free to come out whenever! This is meant to be a very chill, no-stress hangout! All factions/servers are welcome to join!
