I capture feelings, not people. —————————————————————— Photography is so much more than taking pictures for people. You have the most intimate experience in the world. If you play your cards right you get to capture raw feelings and moments in time, solidify them, and allow them to be felt for the rest of time. —————————————————————— When I set out on a session, I don’t try to capture “the perfect, crisp, photo”. I try to capture the feelings from the day. I want each photo to take you back to that moment, not take you back to that time a lady with a camera posed you but back to that time that your new friend, with her camera, gave you the opportunity to open up, share love, and then handed you that moment to hold on to for a lifetime. —————————————————————— Photography isn’t a get rich quick scheme, it’s not some friend trying to make money off of a hobby, it’s hard work, trial and error, and most of all art. As many may have noticed, Meraki Photography doesn't do many jobs anymore. I'm here to make the official announcement why: Meraki Photography is switching from full time portrait, family, and wedding photography to commercial photography. I will still take special jobs (I have a few coming up) but I've decided to pursue my real passion in landscape, architectural, and abstract photography. I will be pursuing an interest in travel writing (keep an eye out for the blog announcement and link) and working on private meaningful projects (my first project is coming up in may so get excited).
