Really want an MLB episode about the class having a family tree/show and tell day (they all draw family trees and bring in a family memento like a portrait, object, or video) so Adrien asks Gabe if he has any family photos (specifically ones that contain Nath because she's basically part of the family) and Nath reveals that she and Gabe would take videos of Adrian when Emilie was away filming/modelling/something else, and they made it into a compilation.
There's a video where Gabe is hesitant to change Adrian's diaper and Nath is recording him and trying not to laugh ("Nathalie please help me!" "Forgive me sir but that would be impolite, he is your child")
There's a video where they're sitting around Adrien and trying to get him to say "papa" (he says "Nana" instead as he tries and fails to say "Nathalie")
Nath secretly records Gabriel sleeping with baby Adriaen in his arms and a book in his hand (or Gorilla recording Nath and Gabe passed out with Adrien together?)
Toddler Adrian is sitting atop the fridge and Gabe, Nath, and Gorilla are freaking out and wondering how he got up there and how they can get him down
Adriane drawing a dress next to Gabriel designing clothes and Gabriel is trying to give him tips which Adrien does not accept, to Gabe's dismay ("son, try making the neckline red" *Adrien makes it yellow* "that's not what I-uh-I mean... well done. Adrian. Good art") (the dress he made later became a design of Gabriel's that was never added to a collection but it was one he made for Emilie (she did not wear it at any events))
Gabriel catching Nathalie and Adrien trying to sled down the huge staircase and them begging him not to tell Emilie
Adriem reading comic books with Gorilla and Nath
Maybe some scenes of Adrien playing with Chloe, like they try on makeup and play pretend (making a mini movie for Emile and Audrey!), or ride bikes down the hall while being chased by distressed adults (Jean and Nath are soon caught napping on a bench because these kids are terrors when together)
Family photo of them at the pool where Gabe, Nath, and Gorilla are wearing business suits, and Adrien and Emilie are in bathing suits, very obviously taken by leaning the camera against a tree and setting a timer
Is it in character? We don't know enough about the characters to say yes or no, I just want wholesome Agreste content (also hints of Emile being absent a lot? Maybe?)
I would make a fanfic but a) cannot write and b) cannot characterise
(I know I misspelled some names, hush)
I think all of that is very sweet! It would be lovely to witness some pleasant Agreste family memories, and I enjoy that Nathalie has always been very involved. 😄

TOP 10 BIGGEST DOGS IN THE WORLD
Tumblr media
The dog is regarded as the most loyal and affectionate animal on earth. The dog breeds not only love their human family but they risk their lives in order to save them as well. This means they are the best guard dogs; this is the reason why people always look for the large dogs . In this regard, we have compiled a dog breeds list for the top 10 biggest dogs in the world.
10. Newfoundland The Newfoundland dog breed that isn't just a bodyguard its loyal nature, thick build, thicker coat and strong swimming ability make it ideal for use as a water rescue animal. This swell swimming giant is quite a good pack horse, very capable and very hard-working. An interesting fact about the Newfoundland breed is that in the very famous 1904 play Peter Pan a Newfoundland dog named Nana was employed by the darling family as a nanny to the children. In that story, did you know that the Newfoundland was originally used as a working dog and what they would do is they'd pull the Nets out of the water for the fishermen and sometimes they were dragging wood around for the chops Minh.
9. Leonberger The very large Leonberger dog breed is bred by mixing Newfoundland, Great Pyrenees and Saint Bernard. He can weigh up to 170 pounds adult males in particular are powerful and strong and carry a lion-like mane on the neck and chest. The lovable giant is high in intelligence and even higher in energy they have a knack for mischief and mess but on the plus side. They're deep in horse bark will keep intruders away from your home. The Leonberger is one of the oldest dogs dating back to Germany Lee and Berger I'm hungry.
8. The Tibetan Mastiff This dog is a loyal and dependable companion while these pooches usually range from 140 to 170 pounds. Some European owners have claimed theirs have reached up to 220 pounds; Marco Polo described the Tibetan Mastiff as quite tall as a donkey with a voice as powerful as that of a lion. The Tibetan Mastiff dog is serious and dignified calm and quiet unless provoked despite his large size. This breed is exceptionally agile skilled at climbing and jumping and requires a 6 foot high fence not to keep burglars out but to keep your giant dog in select Tibetan Mastiffs They have. This is really strong instinct concerning likes people and if they don't get over that initial instinct. There's usually a good reason you trust your dog and junk just trust them.
7. The Doberman Pinscher When talking about Beauty Brains agility and loyalty, what other breed could we be discussing other than the Doberman pinscher. The Doberman pinscher while one of the smallest breeds on our list is no runt in this pack built compactly. It has a muscular body and the strength and endurance to keep on going when it needs to hare. Karl Friedrich Lewes Doberman the maker of this breed was a tax collector and dog catcher in Germany in the late 1800s as a dog catcher. He could choose the best dogs for his breeding he was able to blend several breeds to develop the Doberman. But he kept no wreck the Doberman, did gain a solid reputation for its harsh strength of character and an ability to hunt, bite and kill. When Mr. Doberman died in 1894, he had done such a good job, with that dog people carried on his legacy by choosing to breed only the bravest, smartest, quickest and toughest dogs they could now.
6. The English Mastiff These dogs are gentle giants and they're one of the oldest breeds. They've been depicted in Egyptian monuments as early as 3000 BC and they're thought to have come to America on the Mayflower. Some of the Mastiffs talents include being a watchdog, being a guard dog, being a police dog, being a military dog and being a search-and-rescue dog. When a Kennel Club says the word beast, they are referring to the English Mastiff.
5. The Burmese Mountain Dog This dog was originally bred as a farm dog and is one of the four sennenhund-type breeds. They're intelligent, strong and agile enough to herd cattle, pull carts and to be a watchdog in mountainous terrain. The dog is tricolor with symmetrical markings of black rust and white in addition to being strikingly good-looking. The Burmese Mountain Dog has a wonderful temperament. Do you know this braid is so old and came from the Romans, they brought into Switzerland 2,000 years ago.
4. The Black Russian Terrier This dog has large bones and well-developed muscles known as the black pearls of Russia. They are people oriented and want to be close to the action at all times. This outstanding guard dog can weigh up to 140 pounds. These dogs get bored sometimes and when they're bored, they're destructive. If they're not properly exercised with that size, they can be quite a problem. The Black Russian terrier is not actually a true carrier.
3. The Great Dane The Great Dane although looking terribly imposing in reality is one of the best natured dogs around. There the Apollo of dogs reaching to a weight of 200 or more pounds. It's no surprise that this dinosaur of a dog is one of the most well known of the giant dog breeds . The Great Dane is popular today in America even appearing in popular culture such as the newspaper, comic character, Marmaduke or the hanna-barbera cartoon character, scooby-doo or Astro in the TV show. Did you know the Great Dane has nothing to do with Denmark; they're from Germany.
2. The Scottish Deerhound This dog's original purpose was to hunt and bring down the Scottish roe deer a magnificent beast twice. The deer hound has been used very successfully on rabbits, coyotes and wolves. As a companion, the deer Hound is ideal being tractable easy to train and Possessing. He has the most dependable loyalty and utmost devotion to their master. Did you know that the Scottish deer hound is so calm; people can't even use them as a guard dog they just walk up and want to hug you and junk.
1. The Saint Bernard The Saint Bernard’s expression often appears more Stern but it's never ill-tempered a dog. This size must be trained early in their puppy-hood because once their nature sets in, it's likely their bad habits are gonna stick around for a while. Some of the st. Bernard's talents are searching rescue guard dog and watchdog. They've also been known to predict storms and avalanches like the most famous Saint Bernard ever was named Barry he rescued between 45 and a hundred people. They even built a statue to him in Bern Switzerland.

Photo: Inspiration bulletin board in the NCS Main Building.
The students and campers who attend North Country School and Camp Treetops often stay connected to our institution throughout their lives, coming back to visit for Friends’ Weekend and bringing their own loved ones along to experience our mountain campus for themselves. While there are many attributes that we believe make our space special—the surrounding Adirondack wilderness, our farm and gardens, the Ski Hill, Round Lake—we believe the relationships formed here have the greatest impact on our students and alumni.
That culture of community is woven throughout the NCS and CTT experience. Our teachers, counselors, students, and campers form life-long relationships that focus on support, encouragement, care, and inspiring one another to develop our strengths. Throughout this time apart we have been particularly grateful for you—our extended tight-knit community. Your words of encouragement, photos, and engagement in our remote programming have been consistent reminders of why we so greatly value being a part of this place. We look forward to continuing to see your updates from home, and know that, despite the distances between us, we are and always will be part of the same rugged, resourceful, and resilient North Country School and Camp Treetops family.
Please keep sending us your photos, and we will add them to our NCS at Home: Spring 2020 photo library. Email photos to Becca Miller at [email protected].
Note: Our campus is closed to all students for the remainder of the school year, with the exception of the international students who remained here during spring break, rather than returning to their home countries during the early stages of the outbreak. These students, along with our houseparents and faculty, are staying on campus and enjoying outdoor adventures in the contiguous wilderness during this time. They have been and will continue to take appropriate safety and prevention measures.
CREATIVITY AND CONNECTION

This past week our on- and off-campus community members celebrated Mother’s Day in creative ways that extended into our academic classrooms. Teacher Katie’s Spanish class wrote Spanish-language cards for the mother-figures in their lives, showing their love and appreciation while practicing their vocabulary. Katie wrote and painted a card that she will mail to her host mother from her college study abroad program in Chile, while 9th-grader Emily was able to give her card to her mother in person.

Rob’s 7th grade science class finished their electricity research projects this week, and completed their energy unit by giving presentations to their peers. The lessons focused on comparing the pros and cons involved in different clean-energy production methods. Josie ended her presentation on wind energy by fielding questions from her audience, and Fred’s slides used charts to illustrate facts about nuclear power’s role in the global energy supply.
ART AND ADAPTATION

Though our spring performance of Alice in Wonderland won’t be put on before a live audience, theater teacher Courtney will be compiling student performances into an edited version of the show for the greater NCS community. The cast has been working hard on their lines, and continued rehearsing together remotely this week. Though the show won’t look like past North Country School productions, Courtney and the cast and crew have been thinking creatively about how to incorporate elements like costumes and set into the final production.

As we near the final weeks of our academic year we have started to prepare for our remote graduation ceremony. Much like the spring production, this ceremony will bring in many elements of a traditional North Country School graduation, while adapting to this  unique moment in time. Each year one or two students are chosen to perform musical pieces during the graduation ceremony, and this week 9th-grader Sally worked with music teacher Joey on her piano piece that will be a part of our celebrations that day. Another long held NCS end-of-year tradition involves giving graduating 9th-graders Senior Books—hand-bound books that contain appreciation pages from their teachers and peers. This week English teacher Melissa worked on some of her Senior Pages, which creatively repurpose old maps into new and beautiful cards of appreciation and good wishes for the future.
NCS AT HOME

Top: 5th-grader Wyatt plays in a river. Middle: Kentaro and Koga play badminton in the WallyPAC. Bottom: Tianyu cross-country skis.
This past week packed a punch of Adirondack spring weather conditions, from inches of fresh snow and overnight temperatures in the teens to sunny days in the sixties. Day student Wyatt sent photos of his time spent in one of our North Country rivers on a warmer day this week, while on-campus students Kentaro, Koga, and Tianyu adapted to the wintery conditions by engaging in some indoor badminton and embracing the cold for (perhaps) the last cross-country ski of the season.

Our students appreciated their mothers this past week by whipping up tasty treats using their Edible Schoolyard skills. 7th-grader Sonya baked her mother a beautiful apple pie, while 6th-grader Samantha and her younger brother prepared some waffles and fruit with a lovely holiday message. 6th-grader Will spent time with his family this week by helping care for the seedlings they’ve been growing in their North Country home. As temperatures continue to warm Will and his family will begin to move the plants outside for the season.
FARM AND GARDEN

Spring at the barn is not only a time for baby animals, but is also when our horses get ready for the upcoming riding season. Though riding is currently paused at North Country School, Barn Manager Erica has been hard at work with our herd, making sure they are ready for spring after the long winter. This past week, Erica began getting horse Sterling ready for work by exercising him using a technique called lunging, where a horse is asked to move at different gaits while attached to a line, while the whole herd had their feet checked and trimmed.

Top: Jack and Sam help build an arbor in the Forest Garden. Middle: Jack builds an arbor. Bottom: Kale in the greenhouse.
The Forest Garden, located by the Upper Field, is a relatively new growing space on the North Country School and Camp Treetops campus. Forest gardens are low-maintenance, sustainable growing areas that incorporate native plants and woodland ecosystems to grow food within existing environments. Our Forest Garden is not just a space to grow fruit trees like beach plum and peach and herbs like mint and thyme, but is also a beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature. This past week, on-campus students and adults helped ready the Forest Garden for spring by planting trees, weeding out spaces, and building an arbor made from young cherry tree branches. Later in the season the arbor will be covered in climbing vines, providing a bit or shade on hot summer days. Meanwhile, our greenhouses continue to flourish, with hardy greens like kale that are ready to be picked and tomato seedlings that will be transplanted this week.
We hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy, and that your communities are caring for and supporting one another. We will continue to update you about our community throughout this time, and encourage you all to reach out to us as well.
CONNECTING WITH OUR COMMUNITY:
Mondays: Check our Facebook page every Monday for a video from our School Counselor, Lauren, on tips for getting through this challenging time. Last week Lauren shared some tips from one of her favorite authors, MJ Ryan, on how to survive chaos you didn't ask for.
Tuesdays: Creature Query- Barn Manager Erica Burns will be answering questions about the animals on our farm using fun and educational videos. In this week's Creature Query, Erica led a live barn tour. Check it out on our Facebook page.
Wednesdays: What’s Cooking at NCS and Camp Treetops?- Edible Schoolyard instructor Elie Rabinowitz, along with other community members, will provide simple recipes and cooking resources you can use to prepare delicious meals at home with your families. This past week Director of Technology Devon Jacobs showed us how to make ribs. Check out all of the recipes on Facebook and on Tumblr.
Thursdays: Birding with Jack- 6th grade English teacher Jack Kiernan will offer the NCS community an opportunity to connect through the world of birds by providing the resources to become familiar with birds that our community is seeing around the globe. If you are out for a walk or sitting at home, looking out the window, take a moment to log the birds you see with the NCS eBird account. Last week Jack taught us about red-winged blackbirds, a common sight in Adirondack wetlands. Check it out on our Facebook page.
Fridays: Check our Facebook page every Friday for a video featuring a Japanese mini-lesson by teacher Meredith Hanson. Last week Meredith talked about "Nana korobi, ya oki," a proverb that describes the ups and downs of life, and the importance of being resilient.
Saturdays: The NCS Saturday Night Activity- Every Saturday at 8 p.m., NCS teacher Larry Robjent, along with other NCS faculty, will be hosting fun activities similar to those typically held on campus with students. Participate live from home with your own families. Last week was Bingo; this week's activity is Charades.

My Fitz-Centric Fics
@florchis posted a compilation of her Fitz-centric works in honor of his birthday, and I love that idea, so I’m doing the same. Below the cut, I’ve listed my fics where Fitz is the focus/main character/POV character. All of my fics can be here.
Child Fitz Fics
Just Me and My Mum (One-Shot, Rated G, 1079 words)
“Please list your immediate family.” “Just me and my mum.”
Five-year-old Leopold wants to know about his Da.
Read on AO3 or Read on Tumblr
No Energy Created, None Destroyed (One-Shot, Rated G, 2042 words)
“Well, my mum always said that you shouldn’t be afraid because it’s just like the way life was before you were born… which wasn’t that bad, was it?”
After his Nana dies, Leo has some questions for his Mummy.
Read on AO3 or Read on Tumblr
What Your Father Said (One-Shot, Rated T, 1716 words)
“Isn’t that what your father used to say to you? Not enough? Not smart enough?”
Leopold Fitz was ten-years-old and not a very clever boy at all. He knew this because his father told him so, all the time.
WARNINGS/TRIGGERS: Verbal Abuse, Ableism, Ableist Language (including the R-word), Swearing, Mild Self-Injury (hitting self in the head)
Read on AO3 or Read on Tumblr
The Luxury of Sympathy (One-Shot, Rated T, 1291 words)
“And in a hard world, we cannot afford the luxury of what?” “The luxury of sympathy.” “Exactly. Everyone needs the strap across their back now and again. Teaches respect.”
8-year-old Leopold is a very curious boy, but sometimes his curiosity gets him in trouble. Luckily, Leo’s Mummy doesn’t believe that sympathy is a luxury.
TRIGGERS/WARNINGS: Child Abuse, Physical Abuse, Verbal Abuse, Ableist Language (one use of the R-word), Swearing
Read on AO3 or Read on Tumblr
Monkey See, Monkey Do (One-Shot, Rated T, 2574 words)
It was difficult being a monkey raised by humans. Mummy and Daddy didn’t really understand him, but that was their fault, not Leo’s. They’d been given a monkey as a child, so they should learn how to raise a monkey, and not try to turn him into a boy. He didn’t understand why it was so important that he act like a human. Leo wasn’t a human. He was a monkey.
WARNINGS/TRIGGERS: Ableism, Ableist Language, Bullying, brief mentions of Fitz’s dad smacking him
Read on AO3 or Read on Tumblr
FitzSimmons Fics
Tea Solves Everything (One-Shot, Rated T, 637 words)

Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga 12 (FINAL)| Classicaloid 25 (FINAL)| Boku no Hero Academia 14 | Kado 0 - 1 | Oushitsu Kyoushi Haine 1 | Sagrada Reset 1
Update: I apologise for all my updates within the spring 2017 debuts. I had stuff due prior to the spring season and so I’ve gone all out in compiling my thoughts and then comparing my thoughts to ANN’s.
(Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga 12)
“Monkey”? I thought it had to do with Todo (whose first name is Saburota, remember, and so could be mangled to become saru or monkey) but I guess…not…?
I thought Shiemi was gonna do a love confession! Where’d Nemu go while all the action was happening though? Plus, Nemu reminds me of Yuji Yata (Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service) and vice versa.
Super Coke and Panta, LOL.
I can’t believe they’re so willing! I remembered this happened but now that I see it animated, it seems a little too fast!
Anmitsu is a red bean dessert – you hear about it for the Kashuu/Yasusada ship in Touken Ranbu (it’s what the ship is called, due to kanji readings). Kuzukiri though…I haven’t heard of it, so here you go.
I never knew you could use the fact Rin is the son of Satan for humour. I never knew it could work, either.
If kemono = pickles…then what are Kemono Friends?! *gasps* (LOL, I kid, I kid…)
Okay, now the “son of Satan’s gonna torch you” gag is tired. That was fast.
What’s a Tawawa? Isn’t that “Tawawa on Monday”?...No? I guess it’s the name of the tower’s mascot then.
Yukio with his straight face, LOL.
Is it “quality brother time” or “brother quality time”? I think it’s the former.
I can finally read Rin’s shirt now. It says “teriyaki” in katakana.
Well, that’s the end of Blue Exorcist for now. See you some other time.
(Classicaloid 25)
Oh, that’s why there are aliens in this show…
It’s interesting to note they used the Bird’s Nest for Beijing rather than Tiananmen Square or the Fobidden City.
So Kyougo was in China. Geez, these stereotypes are a bit hackneyed…
Tchaiko’s so depressed when Bach appears. It makes sense though.
“It just doesn’t strike a chord.” – Perfect phrase for a Classicaloid.
Disco Bach. Now that’s something you don’t see every day.
I haven’t noticed there were white musical notes on the eyecatch until now.
I was wondering why Hasshie, Pad-kun, Kanae and Sousuke were rigged up like how they were in one of the s2 visuals. The reason…let’s just say, I LOVE IT! I’m not entirely a fan of 6th rangers in general, but I love transformations, remember? Rare transformations are all the better to watch again and again!
Doot-doo-doo-doot-doo-doo-doo-doo-doot-doot-doo-doo-doot-doo-doo. It’s Ode to Joy!
Like, look at it. The October airing was definitively confirmed! See you again in October, then.
(Boku no Hero Academia 14)
I skipped the simulcast commentary on the recap episode, as I always do. Disclaimer: I wander around the BnHA wiki a bit so expect to see “I knew that already”s all over the place.
Dang, Deku looks eeeeeeevil in that one intro scene where he’s all lit up.
Those taiyaki (fish-shaped buns) look tasty…
I’ve seen some spoilers so I know Toshinori Yagi is All Might’s real name and All Might’s predecessor (who I thought was the recipient of the letter) was a woman named Nana. Thus, beard man must be Gran Torino, All Might’s mentor.
Katsu, LOL. Ever since YoI, I can’t stop thinking about Yuri K after seeing a pork cutlet.
Best Jeanist (1st person in background), some guy I don’t know…and Endeavour. Spoilers can be annoying like that.
I knew why Ochako became a hero too, but...her name means “carefree”? Never heard that one before.
They say that if there’s a leaf sticking up in your tea, it’s good luck…I think that’s how it goes with green tea, anyways.
I don’t think I’ve seen BnHA go and do a fanservice thing with its girls until now, which 1) is odd for a show with a teacher called “18+ Only Hero Midnight” and 2) simultaneously makes sense as an all ages hero anime. The emphasis in this show is on the action and on Deku, not just the girls, but going to the girls for fanservice only now does kinda show how the audience has grown up enough for this ED trope to be ued.

I’ve been hyped for this ever since I found out it was coming. I do have my doubts about the CGI, but somehow I know this work will be good. Besides, it’s my first fully CGI work in the simulcast commentary – I can’t really let that sort of chance go while I can still do it (because most 3D CG anime are Netflix exclusive). Update: Why have I covered an episode 0? This one seems important to the plot, that’s why. (Well, admittedly...they had to have an episode 0 for a reason, right?)
Ooh, that OP’s real pretty and the language (the one “Ninovo” is written in) intrigues me.
I knew I’d be fine with the CG – if there’s CG everywhere one instance of CG doesn’t stand out – but I wasn’t expecting to be dipping my toes in something so…adult.I was expecting the government affairs, but land restitution? If it weren’t for Shizuna-whatshisname and what came before this, I’d be gone, y’know? (Come to think of it though, anime can make even adult things like taxes engaging, so if you gave me an engaging anime about taxes, I’d take it. After SGRS, I’m more open to this sort of mature content, too.)
There’s been a picture on ANN of Dantalian no Shoka and the dude in it looks like Masayoshi (Samurai Flamenco). When Hanamori is shocked and leaning to the side, he looks like Masayoshi too…
I’d like to know how to make those pleated tail birds.
Strangely, this anime is more flat than I thought a 3D CG anime would look. Update: I raised my eyebrow at the part where Shindo pulls the suit pants off Hanamori, but it kinda made sense to me since Hanamori was drunk...at least it’s better than lucky underwear (Marginal #4).
What could be bigger than a land reform project? Oh, I dunno, aliens? (clearly sarcastic)
It’s not even Google, it’s Setten, LOL.
Chicken nanban. Seems tasty. I also didn’t question this until now, but this is MLIT.
Mac laptop! Dangit!
Hanamori is such a shonen protag, I swear he is basically Masayoshi in disguise as a Cabinet worker.
Hanamori’s face in the commemorative photo, LOL.
Uh-oh. Things are starting to look more CG now…
The ED is kind of a disappointment after the wonderful showing I got from the OP and the episode…plus Hanamori is kinda annoying with his “Shindo-kun!” “Shindo-kun!”…one thing’s for sure, this is one show to keep an eye on…for the moment, at the very least.
(Kado ep 1)
UN?! Wow, Shindo’s crazy good at his job…
Sometimes opening sequences of shows (not the OP, but rather the opening few minutes of the show) can be recap-heavy, but at least Kado doesn’t do that.
Interesting to note CR chose metres as opposed to miles, as I have huge gripes about Detective Conan getting all its measurements turned into miles and inches…
Tokyo Netro and NNK, LOL.
“Have there been any casualties so far?” By the way, the government uses Windows. I wonder if any Japanese people use Linux? Update: I did find Kanata Shinawa at odds with how she lead the government, but at least she knew what she was doing.
Ferrofluid.
Overtechnology – it doesn’t seem to be a dictionary word, but it seems to exist in Macross. To quote this page: “Many of the technologies of Overtechnology are stables of Science Fiction, such as Hyperspace and Artificial/Anti-Gravity.”
AP rounds. The AP stands for “armour piercing”.
Yay! Finally whatshisname appears! (I’ll just call him Shunina for now, since I can’t keep typing out his name or “whatshisname” all the time…) Update: I knew Shindo was the protag, but if you went in without that knowledge, you’d mistake Hanamori to be it. Huh. It’s sort of a good twist, but if they could do without Hanamori, that would make the show even better.
(Haine 1)
Why am I interested in this? It’s obvious from the key visual…
Nice use of perspective/camera tricks to fool the viewer, eh? The show really is kinda charming in a Kuroshitsuji-type way, actually.
Leonhard gives the burn straight! Ow!
Leonhard is basically the twins from Boueibu…? Especially Haru.
Licchie? Or Licchan? (did not use volume) I wonder if CR’s getting in on making English equivalents of Japanese nicknames now, too. Update: Licht is ri-hi-to, so it might not actually be CR’s fault there…
Playboy??? *thinks about the magazine* Ew.
Strangely, Kai’s was the funniest introduction out of all 4. (Or was that not strange…?)
Basically Nanny McPhee but with a teacher and students…LOL. Actually, it’s more Denpa Kyoushi, but Denpa Kyoushi doesn’t seem to have this atmosphere.
Come to think of it, maybe this was adapted because of the popularity of Osomatsu-san?
Tschuss.
This is…actually pretty funny, but it seems a tad lackluster because of the dulled shoujo-esque colour scheme. On the other hand, Leo really is both twins from Boueibu in one!
Sachertorte. I’ve heard of it before but I forgot what it was. Also, I didn’t think Japanese people would’ve heard of sachertorte. Witness the mighty skill of the internet to connect the world!
I had a vague suspicion that the reason Leo didn’t like teachers was because of how they treated him (specifically put him on a pedestal) because he was a prince, but there was always this sad feeling lingering since the interview began, as if I understood him.
I have the feeling the word for “language” specifically was kokugo, but since they speak Japanese and don’t confirm their setting is German in any way, shape or form (even though there are hints to the contrary), let’s go with “Japanese” as the national language.
Wiener melange? Or just a melange? By the way, tagebuch.
It turns out I do understand Leo…”I’m not good at socialising” is me to a tee.
Notice Leo called the tutor “Heine”, meaning this may not run off Japanese honorific standards.
GDI, priest guy (Bruno, since his reading a book there makes him look like a priest).
Ooh, the Alphonse Mucha style ending really does the show a favour, although Heine singing makes this a lil’ cliched in a weird way you just don’t expect from this show. Apart from that, I’d never think people would idolise Germany the same way they do Japan…unless 1) they have a person related to them who is/speaks German, 2) they like German food or 3) they like German technology (which is top-notch, to my knowledge). I’m kinda neutral on German stuff myself, so if I follow this I wonder what’ll become of me. Update: Oh yes, no. 4) They are German themselves.
Carrot, bell peppers and sachertorte? Ew.
Well, I’m keeping this show on. It better not let me down even though I only narrowly decided not to pick it for the ANN streaming stuff. It’s not a groundbreaker, but it’ll definitely be nice to have around…
Update: I forgot to mention I was vaguely disturbed by Heine’s reading of Leonhardt’s diary (mostly by the fact Heine found the diary in the first place - who puts an unsecured diary in a place that’s a little too accessible?), but since it didn’t do much damage to anyone but Leo and it was entirely played for comedy, I wrote it off. If it were a serious show, I may have had to bail.
(Sagrada Reset 1)
I dunno why the English translation is Sagrada when the Japanese is Sakurada. It just doesn’t make any sense.
Didn’t the character descriptions say Sumire was gonna die???
David Production – those Jojo’s guys? I don’t think I’ve seen anything from them until now.
Ugly CG cars, ick.
Haruki’s power reminds me of Erased except this exposition dump here makes her sound pretentious.
I would expect Haruki to be the android.
Was the “please let go” meant to be funny? I almost laughed before realising how serious Sakurada Reset is.
(without volume) Haruki’s so lifeless I expect her to disappear any moment now whenever Kei looks to the side. (with volume) I still think she’s lifeless…
Well, at least they explain why she’s so lifeless…by the way, I seem to remember I wrote a story like this: Next to Me.
August 14th, the day of Kagerou Project, LOL. I watch too many time travel shows.
No one rides swings. You sit on the swing!
Even though I can tell this show will go through some themes very thoroughly and the animation is consistent, it’s a bit of a chore to watch. I was waiting for the end of the episode about 17 minutes in, so I’ll put this on hold (because of the Mari twist near the end – that at least shows promise). The Sumire part doesn’t seem as convincing animation-wise though, which is disappointing as that’s the main plot of the show, right? Update: The reason why I label it a chore is because it’s hard to read the subs on this sometimes, the animation is limited and because it’s easy to miss Haruki’s resets - I actually missed the first one.
Update: Just a note on my preferences - the reason why I think such a show is a chore to watch is because I prefer shows with a distinct personality and/or charisma. Sagrada seems to have a personality, but it hasn’t become fleshed out yet because of all the potential under the surface, and it lacks charisma because of how serious it is.
