Jason has been writing fanfiction ever since he got access to a computer. They weren't always the most popular, especially since he was writing fics about classics, but that's not why he wrote them. He wrote them for himself.

However, since he always had Robin stuff going on, his author notes had become something of a meme at this point. No one really believed him anymore when he apologized for late updates due to breaking his arm in three places or anything like that.

Then, he died. He had been two chapters away from ending his story, damnit.

But it's fine, he's back now. He apologizes for late update since he, ya know, died and finishes that story. Then, he finds out there's another author out there with notes ... very similar to his own. And a lot of humor about his own death.

Maybe PhantomNotBill087 and him had a lot more in common than being fic writers.

I'm listening to a lot of Maintenance Phase (bc I love it) and this comes up sometimes, so I'll just be sat here thinking about how common it is for little kids to grow up watching their moms and other women in their life jump from diet to diet. Just as ambient background noise in your childhood, the adults around you obsess over calories aloud, express guilt over eating enjoyable food, frame exercise as a form of punishment for eating, and so on.

it's always great to have series where you can notice new details every time you watch no matter how much you watch.

the scene where Aang is floating there mockingly and Azula manages to stop just in time before the building runs out but then Zuko just barrels ahead without looking, runs out of ground and takes a 20 foot nose dive into the dirt at top speed was always low key one of the funniest scenes in the series, but somehow it took me til now to notice Aang's brief half confused half concerned "oof that must have hurt" wince.

He probably genuinely believed nobody would be reckless enough that they would actually not look where they were going and actually run off the building. WELL YOU WERE WRONG and frankly should have known better at this point.
