Not a fan of human formers. Almost all of the time I find them poorly representing the characters when they’re made to be a humanification and not super understandable from a thought process perspective when they’re supposed to be holoforms . so I tried and I did badly .

I’m going to give my general thought process behind these designs which are intended to be holoforms.

first one is shockwave, obviously. I chose to make him strictly inhuman because his first appearance in the marvel comics shows that he learns about humans by watching their dramas, tv shows, and sports. I feel that he would see the villain in animated shows as the most rational human, and therefore, what most humans might look like, so he bases his appearance off those of villains. very funny to me. He has a tshirt tuxedo, those ugly things that everyone loved n the 80s. His very normal name is Josh ‘last name’ Brown and he has a massive rack AND I MADE HIM FAT WHY DO PEOPLE MAKE HUMAN SHOCKWAVE SKINNT HAVE TOU SEEN HI M. Unfortunately the coat covers the other detail I added for his torso shape but I may draw these more.

Second one is Optimus which is less obvious, honestly I just gave him some ugly woke trucker clothes . I think he’d be better at looking “average”, so that’s what he is. no notes. Orion can be considered a normal human name and if he were to choose a name it would probably be easier to respond to something he once recognized. I just replaced prime with powers. Because uhhh (I dot have a reason)

behold my original g1 shockwaves!!! One in shit quality and another in very good quality I received recently. I believe it’s rather obvious I do quite enjoy Shockwave, but I rarely (if ever) look at fanart or fandom depictions of him since I happen to like a very very specific version of shockwave i see under represented:

Flamboyant asshole !!

I’d argue flamboyant asshole shockwave is most present in the marvel comics (possibly skybound? ‘Tickles me purple’ etc etc) and I never see it discussed. I either see fandom shockwave made hyper unemotional - and by that - commonly hyper masculine (hilarious interpretation giving his general shape and demeanor but you do you), or surprisingly…. Un-shockwave-like? It’s hard to get that sweet spot. I suppose I’m just exceedingly picky but I think shockwave should be a conniving freak.

While purely logical characters can be quite interesting, you have to utilize them in an interesting way to *make* them interesting, and I don’t see that happening in most official media for this guy.

I’m sickkk of him being the wizard who did it. I’m so accustomed to him being turned into a MacGuffin or a plot device it irritates me quite thoroughly. Paired with his “lack of ability to feel”, it is very hard to write an emotionless character, so in most all writings of this archetype it is often able to be read as someone who is not unfeeling, but has instead convinced themselves they cannot feel. That’s why I adore marvel shockwave

His character bio, while also specifying he has a nuclear reactor in his chest for some reason (an explanation for his bust size or possibly sources from the electronics in his chest compartment on his original toy????) , makes sure to note that shockwave does not fan his ego, and relies purely on logic. After you begin reading the marvel comics it’s really obvious that that’s bullshit ���

Depicted after he saves Optimus from death for whatever fucking reason, waking up from his depression nap to do so. Logic is specified, but he doesn’t sound or act logical despite this. “But of course…….” I don’t care that’s some gay shit

He gets pissed off and kicks his feet when proven wrong, he humiliates Megatron for funzies during his takeover of the decepticons and then goes “ohhhh but it would be illogical to kill youuu” and then does the equivalent of throwing him in a dumpster . he makes children souls using Optimus’ epic chest relic ??????? That one is just weird. It makes sense but like

He “plays” (fucks with) the dinobots by letting them kick his ass before throwing them off a cliff, he’s full of himself to an aggressive extent depending on the writer of the comic, and huffy as well. Not to mention he watches straight people kissing and goes “weird. strange. humans are STUPIDER than I thought” in I believe the first panel he appears in

This is, in fact, a shockop propaganda post if you haven’t noticed my subtle foreshadowing. These two act like horrible exes that call eachother slurs. amazing. Read the marvel comics this shit rules
