Hi! Seen you around a bit and I wanted to ask for a wallpaper.

I’m an Alto Clef (scp fandom) fictionkind [if you don’t feel ok doing that fandom please just ignore this] but I’d rather not have the fictionkin symbol on it, although the scp logo would be welcomed if you chose to include it. Also, because there’s no official image of Alto, don’t bother with actual pictures of them because it’ll all just be fanart (however, I do have a few pieces of my own art on my blog under the tag #Gay horror music man, and you’re welcome to use mine). In terms of theming, I’d like to see some cowboy and reindeer themed stuff (but nothing wintery please)

Hey! Love you blog! I'd like to ask something though: what's the difference between being Arissofoundation/Arissoanomaly and being fictionkin with, Say, Alto Clef? /gq

It's kinda hard to explain, but Arissofoundation and Arissoanomaly are Arissomei terms, meaning they're caused by any sort of involuntary disconnect where you believe something is true even when it isn't, such as believing you work at the SCP Foundation or are anomalous despite that being impossible.

While fictionkin is a general term for people who believing they were / heavily relate to a fictional species or character, unlike Arissomei they're typically caused by spiritual beliefs (I believe it started in neo-paganism circles specifically) or begin as a coping mechanism.

Pleasure to talk to you sir Alto! If I might ask what is your opinion of people with did? Like what's your opinion of systems and their existence? How about of fictives, meaning introjects of the fictional variety, and such like them? How about the possibility of introjects of characters you've made? Sorry for the strange questions, I'm just asking because I'm part of a system myself, and think you're a pleasant person. I'm just curious about your opinion, and judgement on this. I genuinely will have no hard feelings on the matter if your opinion is negative, I apologise if I'm intruding. I hope you have a great day, and if possible and if you're comfortable about it, could you validate us as a community or even as a system? It's a bit rare to find validity with in most places for systems in itself, because of mainstream media and it's portrayal of DID or even OSDD sadly. But regardless thank you for being a cool dude, and for reading this. I hope you and your family are and will do well!

I’m not sure about the terminology behind all of this, so I won’t speak to them. However, I’ve known several people with dissociative identities and in general, they’ve been pretty cool people.

I will say that in my opinion, the idea that one’s identity is a solid, unchanging thing is a huge misunderstanding of how humans relate to each other. The me I am with my friends is not the me I am with my parents is not the me I am online, which is not the me I was ten years ago. I think everyone changes who they are from time to time to moment to moment from situation to situation. It’s not hard for me to believe that for some, that changeover feels different than mine.

As for fictives and such: I once heard that the idea that being “true to yourself” is a good thing is a modern invention. Older generations would find heroes that they wanted to be like, and would emulate them as best as possible to try to live up to them to try and embody the same virtues they admired. I wouldn’t be surprised if this whole fictionkin/fictive thing is a modern expression.
