i've held off on asking bc it felt presumptuous but i'm relentlessly curious. hi, it's shroudswap anon! was that mini-comic with human ortho and wip robot idia on ko-fi inspired by my ask?
(this is the post Anon is referring to)
That’s not presumptuous at all, Anon, and I’m glad you’re still around and asked about it (and also saw that ko-fi comic! <3)!
It really was kind of inspired by your ask. I just kept thinking about the idea and how differently everything would’ve been (especially considering that Ortho is not as big of a technomagical genius as Idia), and Katsu liked it as well, so we discussed it a bit after I wrote the post. So after a couple of days I ended up wanting to draw something related to it. To be completely honest, the more I think about it, the more thoughts I get, this really is a nice fuel for angsty ideas…
So thank you for sending that ask. I hope it is okay with you though.

What Disney movies and/or characters would each of you like to see in twst? :3
This is such a difficult question, Anon… all of my faves are already in twst 👌🥹 But I also have a huge sentimental soft spot for Brother Bear, so if I had to pick one movie for a twst event, I think it would be cool to have this one. It’s all about ~love~ after all.
Or maybe the Emperor’s New Groove?
Katsu: I’ve never been a huge Disney fan (mostly because the first time I saw any movies when I was almost 18 and still was ok with them), it’s actually twst is the reason why I decided to give them another chance and enjoyed them on their own much, much more. So it’s hard to name anything… I’d actually like to see some RSA??? I guess?? characters twisted from Mulan (or just have an Eastern event, not the New Year one, although I like those too) or Tiana… She was very enjoyable as a character, and the style of both of those movies is fun. As for villains… We had a weird shipping Hans/Anna phase, so I guess Hans??? lmao what a cursed concept. Thankfully, they don’t take 3D cartoons into consideration. Overall, I’m also very happy with what Twisted Wonderland has to offer in general, it looks wonderful.

This made me think of a past drawing of yours: https://www.tumblr.com/blasterpals/760639422291165184/actually-begging-you-all-to-watch-this-absurdly
Oh my god it is indeed cuntilicious 😭 Thank you for sharing, Anon! I’m glad you’re thinking about that drawing hehehe
I keep remembering that I turned away one Anon that was asking about these two together months before drawing it… I am so sorry. Me still thinking about this ship is my karma 😔 I should draw them more. And make them cuntilicous.
Anonymous asked:
Have you ever heard of Kakegurui? I love how deranged everyone is and the boss b*tches, of course.
It sounds and looks familiar, so I’ve definitely seen it around, but we haven’t watched it. I did get the feeling that it had the vibes you’re describing though! But unfortunately I don’t have an opinion on it…

thoughts on Malsil 👀👀
We don’t ship them, sorry Anon! Please read our pinned post.

Midari Ikishima Stimboard, Requested By Anon
Notes; This was a blast to make, although I did try to lean a little less into her more.. extreme traits and interests. I remember the first time I watched through Kakegurui she was one of my faves, which isn't surprising since I tend to be a fan of characters who's personalities are interesting to watch and think about. She still remains one of my favs to this day, tbh.

teasing — by miksaslut
type of work: smut + fanfic
CW // smut, begging kink, public kink, praise kink
character: mary saotome
a/n: I LITERALLY LOVE U UR SO SWEET AND UR MY FIRST REQUEST ?!?!? THANK U SM I HOPE I DID GOOD
—————————————————
you had been teasing mary all day. you knew it was kind of wrong but it was cute - seeing her cheeks go pink as you bent over in your short skirt, flashing your bare pussy in the middle of the hall just for her to see.
it was adorable seeing her squirm in her chair at lunch as you pulled your shirt up just enough to almost reveal a nipple for her. but most importantly, it was fun. you loved to watch her cross her legs with her hand shoved in between them subtly.
it was last period and still, mary had not cracked. you both sat in the back of the class, her beside you sitting politely. as a movie plays in the front of class, you giggle; her hand was creeping up dangerously high on her thigh. you propped your leg up, resting it your chair. you weren’t wearing your panties today - why would you? mary was just going to take them off anyways. you lifted your leg up for a reason. mary’s eyes trailed to your pussy, biting her lip. “fuck” she says under her breath. your hands trace up your thigh, all the way to your throbbing clit. you start rubbing it. although you hope no one sees you, the adrenaline rush of being caught takes hold of you. you moan quietly. “god y/n,” mary says, scoffing and grabbing your wrist, “if you wanted to get fucked you could’ve asked” you smirk as she pulls you up and you both rush out of the classroom.
you had been teasing mary all day and you finally will get your reward. “where are we going, princess?” you tease while mary blushed at the nickname, shaking her head and dragging you into the gender neutral washroom. she pushed you up against one of the stalls with your breasts pressed against the stall door.
“you’re such a cute slut, you know that? all this, just to get me to fuck you”
your tits are exposed, your shirt pulled up across your chest. the stall door was cold against your nipples. your ass was facing her, your legs slightly crossed, embarrassed. “come on y/n, let me see that pretty pussy,” she pulled up your skirt which was already riding up your thighs. “of course you’re already wet” her words made you purse your lips. you were so wet you could feel it running a little down your leg. her ring finger dragged up your slit and you gasp a little. her finger stopped at your clit to rub it slowly, handling you with care. “mary no i- mm fuck- i need more” you buck your hips against her, desperate for something. “good girls beg for it” she says, kissing your jaw and neck harshly.
“shit- mary i need it- fuck p-please i need your fingers inside of me” the way she rubbed your clit was so perfect that begging was difficult. “please mary please fuck me please make me cum hard” you pressed your thighs together and moaned louder than before. mary laughed and her free hand grabbed your boob, pinching your nipple lightly. you bite your lip and try to hold in a moan. “fuck you’re so good for me, arent you?” you nod at her words. suddenly, you gasp as you feel one of mary’s fingers be inserted into you. “fuck yes” you say, closing your eyes as she begins pumping in and out of you. “shit it- fuck it feels so good” she chuckles at your moans. “yeah y/n? it feels good? it’s deep, isn’t it” you moan loudly and grip the top of the bathroom stall door. “yes it’s so- so fucking deep”
“yeah you want two fingers?” she curls her finger slightly and you shiver.
“fuck y-yes i want two please i want your fingers in me p-please give me two”
“it’s cute how desperate you are” she smiles and plunges her other finger in your sopping pussy.
“i- fuck- i love it” your hand gripping the door moves to grab one of mary’s wrists. “god i might cum”
“already? that’s adorable,” she pumps harder and deeper, curling her fingers as you moan for everyone to hear. “come on now, we can’t have people catching us” mary says, clicking her tongue. you try to listen to her, but her fingers are so deep, so good… so, so fucking good that you can’t hold it in. “f-fuck i’m- yes right there- i’m cumming” your nails dig into her wrist and she removes her fingers and turning you around. she grabs your ass and give you a quick kiss before getting on her knees.
“let me eat you out y/n” and without hesitation you prop your leg on mary’s shoulder, giving her the best view of yourself. “god you just came and you’re still desperate?” you blushed and looked away. “please just make me cum again” she smirks once more before grabbing you and pulling you close, beginning to eat you out like it was the last fucking meal she’d ever have. her tongue dragged up and down your slit, then sucking and swirling around your clit. you moan and your eyes roll to the back of your head. “mary it’s so- so- fuck yes” she laughs lightly against your clit, sending a perfect shiver up your body. your fingers lace into her hair, pulling gently. your thighs press against the sides of her face as her tongue starts to move into your pussy. “oh my god- right there please don’t stop” your back arches and you can feel your orgasm coming. you’re practically riding her face at this point. “i might- fuck you’re gonna make me cum mary” mary starts to suck your clit again, harsher this time. “i’m-“ your legs shake and mary moans at how hot you are. “i’m cumming mary fuck” she still sucks on your clit guiding you through your orgasm. she stands up and rubs your pussy one last time. you shake, overstimulated and exhausted. she kisses you then pulls away, content. “you did so good,” mary smiles, “so loud for me” you swat her as you pull your shirt back over your tits and readjust your skirt. “let’s fuck at school more” you say, playfully.
“agreed”

Haikyu Boys when they make you insecure PT 2(Atsumu,Suna)
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6
word count: 1.6K
Genre: angst,fluff
Masterlist
Atsumu:
You have been dating the great setter of the MSBY Jackals since your third year in highschool
You’ve always been okay with his profession
Even when it comes with the adoring fans he has (the ones that don’t necessarily like you..)
And the away games he goes to, that you can’t always go to because of your job.
You and Atsumu got to spend all of quarantine together, which was challenging at times. As you and Atsumu sometimes did have conflicting personalities but you loved being together for 8months + altogether.
But now with the restrictions being lifted, Atsumu got to go back to practice and playing some games although you still got to work from home. Over lockdown, you do feel like you gained a bit of weight (which you didn’t pay much attention to since didn’t everyone gain some weight?)
However, today you were scrolling through twitter, smiling fondly at the recent tweet ‘tsumu made about you;
@ ThebetterMiya: ‘Remember this @ *Insert your twitter handle here* ‘
It was a picture of the two of you in high school in your second year, with you giving Atsumu a hug just after his game against Karasuno. The memory made you smile, but your positive thoughts stopped after seeing a particular comment... “Y/N has definitely let herself go” it read.
To your surprise Atsumu even liked the comment, you didn’t want to overthink things as you know that Atsumu just unconsciously likes comments and tweets without thinking all the time. But you can’t lie and say you didn’t agree with the comment.
For the rest of the day, you spent your time googling and searching personal trainers and gyms that were open for you to go to and new healthy diet plans to try
.Atsumu came home a while later, tired and grumpy claiming that coach worked him extra hard in practice. Because of your newfound idea to start eating and being more healthy, you decided to have one last day of ‘letting go’ so your ordered yours and ‘tsumu’s favourite take out.
Whilst eating dinner, you were going INNN as you should because this is basically your ‘last meal’ you were going to have. ‘tsumu caught onto your cavemen-like way of eating which made him chuckle a bit. “Hey babe, woahh you’re really hungry aren’t ya?”
His comment threw you off, even though you know that he probably didn’t mean anything by it but from the comment on his twitter earlier and how you already feel about yourself it just didn’t help.
“Well what do you mean about that?” you say a little agressively “you think i’m getting bigger right?”
Your question threw him off guard since he didn’t mean that “well Y/N I know you’ve kinda let youself go a bit and you’re obviously not the weight you were when we 16 but-” before he could finish you get up out of your seat and rushed to your room with tears in your eyes, missing the end of his sentence which was “but I still think you’re beautiful” he murmurs.
He decided to give you some space for a bit, and before approaching he see’s your phone ringing (lets just say you and Atsumu have ultimate trust so you can answer eachothers phones :3) “Hello is this Y/N L/N” the person on the otherside of the phone asked
“No, this is Miya Atsumu” your boyfriend replied
“Oh! Miya-san i’m a big fan of you!” he started making Atsumu chuckle “I was just calling Y/N to say i’m available next week saturday to start training”
‘Training?’ Atsumu thought “Can I ask what training you’re preparing for with Y/N” he asks
“Oh I am a personal trainer.” he replied “ Well that’s all I can say, can you please tell Y/N-san to call me again so we can work out times.” he ended the call.
Atsumu goes into your shared-bedroom where he finds you on your laptop looking at ‘weight loss’ tips. He goes over to you and closes your laptop lid and pulls your hand to lead you to the mirror in the room. He stands you in front of it and puts his arms around your waist and his head on your shoulder.
“You’re beautiful Y/N” he says, sparking more tears in your eyes “I think you misunderstood what I said earlier, you. are. goregous. babe” he says punctuating every single word. “Even, if you feel like you gained weight, or lost weight or whatever I will always think your beautiful. If you feel like you want or need to change I will definitely support you along the way, but I think you’re amazing Y/N.”
“Thank you ‘tsumu” you start “ I do feel a bit insecure about the way I look right now, and I’m sorry for my abrupt leave at dinner but I do feel like my body is gross but I do want to try to see myself the way you see me.”
After many efforts from Atsumu, you definitely fell back in love with your body wether you were bigger or small you didn’t care cause you knew you were beautiful either way and so did Atsumu which he reminded you of that every single day.
AN: Can someone give me a synonym for beautfiul lmao cause that’s the only word I can think to use lol.
Suna:
You and Suna have always surprised people when they find out that you’re together.
Since your loud and talkative personality mixed with his quiet and nonchalantness is that a word? seems to not work well for other people
But opposites attract right?
You just finished the last episode of Kakegurui and were excited for your boyfriend to come home so you can tell him about it. You and Suna have been dating for a few years, after you confessed to him in front of all the boys in the gym in your 3rd year.
Suna enters the house mumbling a soft “Hi Y/N” to which you responded back with “Hi suna” rushing towards your boyfriend with a big hug.
He slightly recoiled back out of your hug making you frown, to which he used the excuse of ‘I smell bad from practice let me take a shower.’ Whilst he was in the shower you decided to make some dinner for you both since it seems that Suna is a bit ‘grumpy’ today.
Once he exits the shower, and gets changed, he sees the table set out with the delicious food you made. You exit the bathroom to see him sat down already eating his plate. “How do you like it ?” you ask him wanting to know his opinion on your food.
“It’s good” he mumbles, continuing to shove food in his mouth. A bit bothered by the lack of response, you decide to talk about the newest episode in the hopes of lighting the mood. “Last episode of Kakegurui was great Rin, you should’ve seen it I really love mary. She’s great, I am a Mary Saotome simp through and through I still didn’t get the game they played but who cares? I can’t wait for season 3 to come out, I’ve already ordered the first 3 volumes of the Kakegurui twin manga, do you think it’s as good as the manga since I do think it’ll probably be better since it is Mary-centric and who hates mary since she-” You ramble on not taking notice of the bubbling annoyance that Suna seemed to have.
“Can you just shut up Y/N” he shouted making you flinch “ You’re so fucking talktative gosh” he got up and left the house slamming the door shut making you jump again.
Instead of wallowing in your bed you decide on going out the library to go and read a good book (something that always makes you feel better) forgetting the harsh tone that Suna used with you. You were only trying to lighten the mood...
You got too engrossed with your books to notice how the sun is now gone and it was pitch black outside, the librarian notified you that it was time to go, you figure that if Suna was back at home he would’ve cooled down now so you can have a proper conversation which to be honest, you didn’t really want one.
Once you enter your house, Suna rushes towards you enveloping you in a big hug murmuring a “Oh thank god I was so worried” he tried to give you a kiss on the forehead but you recoil out of it, just as he did to you earlier.
“I think i’m going to go to bed Rin” you say quietly trudging towards your bedroom and getting immediately in your bed. Suna stood there in the spot you left him in feeling bad for what he said to you at dinner. He goes into you bedroom and see you on your bed and silently gets into it next to you.
“Y/N I know you probably don’t want to hear me right now, but I am sorry” You don’t respond but slowly move closer to him letting him put his arm around you. Because of your silence Suna continues to speak “Umm...I watched the last episode earlier and you were right Mary Saotome is the goat but.... yumeko is better” he said teasingly
This made you smile, as this is what you wanted a nice moment with your boyfriend talking about the last episode of your favourite show. You spend the rest of the night arguing over which character is better and decide to start Demon Slayer together, with Suna enjoying your after episode talks that you have.
AUTHOR NOTE: I was really excited to write for Suna and Atsumu but I have a fat migraine so i’m so sorry for it not being thattt gooood today :// but I hope you enjoy it regardless

Idol AU
ShinoMitsu Week Day Six
A/N: Like I had no business writing a royalty AU, I’ve got no business writing an Idol AU. I know nothing. Although I have watched Love Live! Love Live Sunshine!, Zombieland Saga, and If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budoukan, I Would Die, and there was that one episode of Kakegurui… you would think I’d have picked up something. Oh well, enjoy! And just a heads up that this AU takes place during our pandemic times. Word Count: ~1,120
“I can’t believe I let you drag me into this.” Shinobu glared at her sister, arms crossed tightly over her chest.
The crowd was the biggest Shinobu had been in since this accursed pandemic began. Kanae assured her that everyone was vaccinated and the stadium wasn’t filled to capacity to allow plenty of room between parties, but that hardly made Shinobu feel any better. She had practically moved into the hospital after everything that happened and what she really wanted to do with this free time she stumbled into was order some food to be dropped off at her door, use her own shower, sleep in her own bed and not talk to another human being until she had to go back to work.
But Kanae had other plans.
“Come on Shinobu! How often do you get to see so many idols in one place!” Kanae said, waving both her and Shinobu’s complimentary light batons in anticipation for the first act. “And from the front row no less!”
“You know I don’t care about all this. It’s just an expensive way to get a migraine.”
“Except these tickets were free~!” Kanae sang, drumming the batons on Shinobu’s head until Shinobu managed to rip one of them from her hands. “Just try to enjoy the show, Shinobu. It’s a thank you show for front-line workers. When was the last time you got to go out and do something?”
Before Shinobu could reply with something bitter about the last time she was in her apartment longer than ten minutes, the music picked up in tempo and volume and curtains rolled back revealing the first idol group. Despite the volume, Shinobu could still hear her sister’s cheers as her favorite idol group commanded the space.
“I didn’t know FOURtune was going to be here! Oh my god, look! Sanemi is so close!” Kanae jumped in place while Shinobu stayed in her seat, body language very closed off.
Shinobu watched Tengen and Kyoujirou flip around. She was vaguely impressed by the physical display, but it quickly got old. She turned her head to watch Giyuu and he was just… standing there? How did a guy like that become an idol?
“Awww, Giyuu is doing his signature foot taps!” Kanae gushed, pointing to the man as he lackadaisically tapped his foot against the stage.
“What a loser.” Shinobu scoffed, she turned on her phone, deciding she’d much rather play solitaire than watch this.
“Ah! Sanemi ripped his shirt open! Shinobu, you’re missing it!”
“You see one sweaty, shirtless man, you’ve seen them all. Damn it, why are all these cards red?” Shinobu grumbled, tapping the deck to flip the next set of cards. “Hey!”
“You can have this back after the concert.” Kanae said, shoving Shinobu’s phone inside her bra.
“You are trying to kill me. I hope you know that.”
“Stop being such a baby, look, the next group is coming up!”
By the time the seventh idol left the stage, Shinobu was about ready to blow her brains out. She gave up glaring at her sister half an hour ago and instead had started staring through the various idols and letting her mind wander.
“Hello front-line workers! Thank you for all of your hard work!”
The voice caught Shinobu’s attention and pulled her from her fantasies of going to bed. Where had she heard that voice before? She refocused her eyes and looked up at the stage. Had she… seen this woman before?
“I’m so honored I could be a part of this show. Know that I’m always cheering you on!”
The music kicked off and Shinobu watched the woman, Mitsuri, she thinks she heard the announcer say? That pink and green hair was certainly familiar. It was a testament to how tired Shinobu was if she couldn’t remember if she had met a woman with bright pink and green hair before. Then Shinobu blinked and Mitsuri was in front of her, looking directly at her and smiling wide as she sang. Mitsuri offered her hand to Shinobu and in an action very uncharacteristic of the young doctor, she took it without a thought in her head.
Shinobu was pulled from her seat as if she was lighter than air, her feet scrambled for purchase on the large stage and before she knew it she was being twirled and dipped around the stage while Mitsuri seemed to be singing only to her. She was singing something about love and taking chances or whatever, Shinobu couldn’t be bothered to process it. All she could focus on where those brilliant pastel green eyes and the warm hands that almost completely engulfed her own.
When the music faded, Mitsuri pulled her in close, making the crowd’s cheers and whistling grow in intensity. Mitsuri covered the mike of her headset and leaned in to speak directly into Shinobu’s ear.
“It must be fate seeing you again, Doctor Kochou.” She kissed Shinobu’s cheek so fast Shinobu wasn’t even sure it had happened. “Thank you for everything that you do.”
“You’re welcome?” Shinobu felt dizzy. Mitsuri giggled and then Shinobu was escorted back to her seat so the next act could go on.
“Shinobu, that was incredible! Where did that come from, hm?” Kanae beamed brightly, wanting to hear every detail despite seeing the whole thing.
“She knew who I was.” Shinobu said slowly, seemingly somewhere else.
“Really? Was she a patient of yours?”
A lightbulb went off in Shinobu’s brain. “She wasn’t, but her brother and mother were. They were in that bad car crash last year. I remember now, she came to visiting hours everyday. I probably didn’t recognize her right away because we were always wearing masks.”
“That’s so neat, Shinobu! You know an idol! A real up and coming one too, she only had her debut a couple months ago. What do you think, she’s pretty good, right?”
Shinobu couldn’t find it in herself to be negative even just to spite her sister. Instead, she nodded once and got comfortable in her seat. That was when she noticed an odd lump in the pocket of her jeans. Checking to make sure Kanae was too enraptured with the next idol group to notice, she dug in her pocket and found a folded scrap of paper.
So much has happened since the last time I saw you. I would love to catch up sometime, let’s get in touch!
Shinobu’s eyes ran over the short note and accompanying phone number a few times and she couldn’t stop the smile from spread across her face. She couldn’t wait for these last acts to wrap up so she could get her phone back from Kanae.

Hey I love ur writing for the yumeko n kirari! You left me on a cliffhanger! Would you consider doing a P2? 😻
Multiple parts will be made so do not worry! Enjoy!
2:1 (Part Two)
⌦ pairing: kirari x reader
⌦ fandom: kakegurui
⌦ word count: 2k (2001)
⌦ warning: nsfw — fem!fingering / fem!squirting / dom&sub dynamic / cum eating? / light aftercare
⌯ It’s been a couple of hours since everyone split up to win you enough money to pay off your debt. You had earned a significant amount of money from blackjack, to be precise you won seventeen million from the game. Lady luck was on your side but you wondered if she was on Yumeko’s and Mary’s side.
⌯ You decided it was time to head back to the meeting place and see if everyone had earned enough to pay off your debt. Your debt was only forty-seven million so you were able to pay off a sum of it. You walked to the meeting place but on your way you didn’t see Yumeko. ‘Maybe she’d already finished or she’s probably still in a match knowing her.’ You smiled to yourself thinking about how she gets when she’s gambling.
⌯ You arrived at the meeting place and were surprised when you saw no one there. You sighed and sat down in one of the chairs around the table, you sat your head down and played with your tag. You laughed at it. “I wouldn’t have you anyone, I’m gonna miss you.” You ran your finger over ‘kitten’ then dropped the tag on the table.
⌯ You closed your eyes for what felt like a minute caused you to jolt up, you sighed heavily while rubbing your eyes. “You’re finally awake~” You jumped at the sudden voice, almost falling out of the chair. You looked across from you and saw that it was Kirari but this time she has the vice president standing beside her. You gulped nervously and properly sat in the chair.
⌯ “What is it you want now?” You stared into his eyes from across the table, you could tell she was in a playful mood, something you were not in. She stood up and slowly walked over to where you sat with her index finger gliding across the table surface. “I want you darling~ isn’t it obvious?”
⌯ You quickly glanced between the vice president and the woman in front of you. Kirari seemed to get the idea and laughed. “Don’t worry about her, you should be focused on me.. but if you really want,” she turned to the vice president and ordered her to stand watch outside the door then she focused back onto you “is that better?” You nodded. Kirari smiled and sat on the table in front of you. You looked up at her with pools of curiosity.
⌯ “You paid some of your debt.. who else is helping you?” She lifted up her hand and stroked your hair. Your breath became shagged and your heart began pumping faster. You did your best to hide your body’s reaction to her touch and proximity as you laughed and pushed her hand away. “Think I can’t pay off my debt alone? Wow, that’s low.. even for you.” She bit her lip and leaned down, noses almost touching each other and breaths being felt on each other’s lips.
⌯ I know you.. everything about you is stored in my mind.” You inhaled sharply and moved back. “Why are you here? I know you didn’t come all this way just to talk about some of my debt being paid.” You wanted to get to the point, as they say, time is money. You also need to go find the others since they should’ve been at the meeting point ago. Kirari sighed slowly and began undoing her hair.
⌯ “For release.” She placed her ribbons down beside her and waited for you. You scoffed and completely leaned back in your chair, there was no way you would do it in here. “No way. People are still out and I’m waiting for my friends.” She raised her eyebrows at you and giggled, she wasn’t worried about people hearing what you both were doing. And besides, the vice president was on watch.
⌯ Have you forgotten our agreement? Or should you be reminded?” You were still hesitant about it. Kirari sighed and slid herself onto your lap, she wrapped her arms around your neck and looked into your eyes. “I know you’re worried but no one will see us. I promise you nothing bad will happen.” She kissed your cheek then she kissed your neck, she looked up at you for confirmation and after seconds of hesitation you gave it to her.
⌯ She started off by softly kissing your neck then she began sucking gently on your collarbone. You moaned softly and wrapped your arms around her petite body, she moved her kisses up to your jawline and began nibbling on a soft patch of skin. You slid your hand up her back until you reached her hair then you grabbed a handful of it, pulling her head back and her neck being exposed.
⌯ “You know not to leave hickies in places I can’t cover up.” A mix between a groan and a moan escaped her flushed lips and she apologized. “Are you in control this t-“ you pulled her hair harder and smirked, “I’ve always been in control. Don’t think just because I let you top last time let you forget who’s in control. Maybe I should remind you of your place.” You let go of her hair and pushed her onto the table.
⌯ You didn’t allow her to recover before you spread her legs apart and looked at her with so much frustration. “You let that one time get to your head. So now I’ll remind you.” You put your head in between her legs and gently kissed her warm covered thighs. You felt her trying to close her legs but you stopped her before she could. “Stop.” Her movement secede and you continued on.
⌯ Your kisses traveled further and further up her leg until you reached her covered pussy. You raised your head up and watched her face as she tried to hide her temptation. “Beg me.” Kirari lifted her head up slightly to look at you, seeing if you were being serious. “Do I have to say it again? You know I don’t like repeating myself.” She took a deep breath and laid her head back against the table.
⌯ “Pl—Please touch me.” You smacked her outer thigh and earned a yelp from her, you sat back further in your chair and sighed. “Please! Please y/n! I need you to touch me!” You smiled, satisfied with her begging and ran both your hands up her thighs. You run them up and once you got to her cunt you grabbed where the legging met and tore a hole big enough where she could still hide it with her skirt.
⌯ You rubbed your fingers over her clothed pussy and looked up at her face. There was a mix of pressure and desire contoured on her face, it looked exotic. You circled your fingers over her clit, not too hard for her to get the pleasure she wanted but just enough for her to start begging for more. “Please! I need— you!” She reached her hand down and placed it around your wrist. You slapped her hand away and shook your head in disappointment.
⌯ “Darling you’re so impatient.. I guess I should give you what you begged for since I am so generous.” You put your body in a good position and hooked your finger around her panties. You slid them over to the side and exposed her pretty pink pussy to the cool air of the room, it glistened as the light overhead hit it just right. You smirked and used your other hand to play with her folds, dipping the tip of your middle finger inside of her.
⌯ You brought the finger up so she could see how wet she was. “Look at you. I bet you can see it from there.” She tilted her head downwards and immediately blushed as saw the excess on your fingers. You slowly lifted your fingers to your face and stretched the fluid out using both your thumb and middle finger, creating a thin line as they stretched apart from one another. You laughed as her face reddened ever more.
⌯ “Spread yourself for me.” She quickly obliged with no hesitation and used her hands to spread her pussy lips apart, her hole opened with a little noise and wetness was gradually coming out of her. So fascinating. With the same fingers as before, you played with her entrance, barely putting anything inside of her. “Y/n, I’m sorry fo-for what I did— please just f—“ you didn’t let her finish as you slid your middle finger inside of her, curling it upwards as you slowly began thrusting inside of her.
⌯ You were very satisfied with this situation. Although you still were frustrated with Kirari it wouldn’t last for long, especially when she had the most exotic expression on her beautiful face. You sped up your pace and even added a second finger inside with the first one, her sweet moans filled the room and her hips bucked to try to meet your fingers halfway. You let go of her panties and thankfully they stayed where they were supposed to stay.
⌯ You pushed her hips down and held them in place as you sped up significantly. Kirari’s beautiful sea blue eyes fell shut and her hands gripped the sides of the table. “How are you feeling now darling? You want more?” She frantically nodded, you couldn’t help but to laugh at her submission. “Alright darling, I’ll add another finger.” As stated, you added another finger. Her insides convulsed around your fingers and her body began trembling.
⌯ “Cumming so soon? Wow you must’ve been extremely horny to finish with only my fingers, I’ve barely even touched your clit.” At this point her moans were mixed with screams, anyone who walked in proximity of the door most likely knew what was going on. “Cum-cumming— oh my—“ her walls tightened, almost painfully around your fingers and you felt something shoot onto your wrist, you quickly looked down without stopping your pace and saw the most heavenly site.
⌯ You were occupied by the site of her squirting, you couldn’t hear how loud she was at first. When you realized it, you quickly moved the hand that was holding her hips down to her mouth and covered her screams. After her walls loosened around your fingers, you pulled them out and sat back down in your seat. “Clean off my hand.” You said raising your hand up to show her the mess she caused. Kirari weakly but persistently got off the table and knelt down in front of you, she began licking off her juices.
⌯ “You did very well today. I’m extremely proud of you.” You smiled at her and watched as her eyes lit up with joy. After she was finished cleaning off your hand, you patted your lap and courted her to sit down. She did and you wrapped your arm around her as she placed her head on your shoulder. “How are you feeling Kirari?” You heard a hum and sighed, you patted her back for a real answer. “I’m okay~” You nodded and took out a cloth from your pocket.
⌯ You folded it up and asked her to open up her legs, she did and you carefully began wiping away the excess until it was all gone. You tapped her hip with the hand that was already around her so she could close her legs. “Are you okay y/n?” She asked softly, almost like she was falling asleep. You nodded and told her everything was fine. You two then sat in silence and comforted each other, even closing your eyes and just listening to each other breathe.
⌯ “Kirari you should be going soon, I’m sure a lot of people heard us in here.” You lovingly rubbed her back and kissed her covered forehead. “I want to stay like this for a little bit more..” you thought about it for a moment then nodded. “Okay we’ll stay like this for as long as you need.”

Can you do an analysis of Yumeko's character?
I can try, though as always keep in mind that I’m more of a creator than an analyst and I don’t believe my comprehension of these characters to be above anybody else's.
(cut cause long post)
For the longest time Yumeko was and still is one of the most enigmatic characters I’ve ever seen. We know nothing about her past and now that with the latest chapters her role in the story seems to be changing, the only thing we are sure about is her addiction now.
Yumeko, as the series name clearly states, is a gambling addict. Now, in a word being an addict means that a compulsive behavior takes over one's whole life. We can oversimplify it in two statements: 1) I can’t stop doing this 2) No one can stop me unless I truly want them to.
In a setting like Hyakkaou’s this is twice as dangerous. Not for Yumeko herself — Sayaka’s background check tells us she’s quite loaded in terms of money — but for the people around her. There's a pretty obvious duality to Yumeko's character: on one hand, we have the sweet, childish, almost naive Yumeko, who’s able to befriend even her worst opponents; on the other we have a “plague” who’s unable to keep herself under control and who would do anything to get what she wants, ruining whoever is in her path.
The contrast is interesting to see in scenes like the one in which she offers her tissue to Sayaka because she was crying, knowing that she hates her with all her guts vs the way she completely lost her facade when Yumemite refused to play seriously against Sumika, or when she pressured Itsuki into gambling her Life-Plan. This is simply another consequence of her addiction. Try to politely tell a smoker to quit smoking, see how they react. Amberlynn Reid, a youtuber who’s become a lol-cow during her failed weight-loss journey, suffers from BED (binge eating disorder) and when she can't keep her impulses in check, she calls that part of herself “the binge eating monster”, stating that it pushes her as far as to abuse her own partner if she doesn’t get to eat what and when she wants to.
Here’s the thing though: addicts usually want to stop. Most importantly when their behavior starts to take its toll on them. Although they’re often forced to ignore them, they do have feelings of shame and regret when they end up to do things that average people wouldn’t do (i.e. stealing to have more money for their dose). They know that what they’re doing is bad. They have constant reminders of it. Just like Amberlynn has the hate comments and smokers have the warnings on the packages, Yumeko finds her reminders in her own sister, who ended up in a mental institution precisely because of gambling, and in everyone at Hyakkaou, the main example being Sayaka (I speak about this a bit more here).
And yet, here’s the odd thing: Yumeko never really showed the desire to stop nor a hint of true remorse for anything she’s done. People are calling Kirari a sociopath and a narcissist only because she doesn’t show herself as the usual cute anime girl. Yumeko isn’t that better than her in these terms.
The whole premise of the KKG movie revolves around Suzui trying to convince Yumeko to join the Village, where gambling and money are banned, only for the latter to say, “No thanks. I have only two desires: better desserts at the cafeteria and watching Murasame gamble.” (Full on expression of her duality once again).
Because of gambling, her moral compass is sort of all over the place. She never wanted to liberate the House-Pets destroying the system, that’s Tsubomi who got the wrong idea. Yumeko was an anti-hero for a while, but only out of pure coincidence. Simply, her goal of taking the Student Council coincided with the wishes of whoever wanted to see the SC fall.
Clearly, this could be because Yumeko came at Hyakkaou with a specific goal in mind. At the Academy gambling is often your only mean of survival and it would be foolish to give it up. As Murasame says, “Kirari’s a monster and only another monster can defeat her, hurting everyone else in the same manner.”
That does fit Yumeko’s character, doesn’t it?
So why does Yumeko give up gambling altogether when Kirari refuses to play with her and calls her an ‘impurity’? It would make sense if she came here specifically to defeat Kirari. If she was certain that Ririka would win, that would prevent her from obtaining what she wants, throwing out of the window everything she’s done so far. This is the only possibility I can think of for now, so the next chapters will hopefully clear that up.
Now, Yumeko said that she won’t gamble, but if she’s truly an addict, no matter how stubborn and displeased she gets, she won’d be able to stop just like that. The addiction will either take over or find another mean to express itself, just like sometimes smokers turn to food when they try to quit and how people with BED can end up becoming addicted to shopping, resulting in hoarding behaviors. It’s all about that kick of dopamine.
Rest assured though, that as long as her addiction remains, Yumeko will never fully be able to be one of the good guys. Not like this, and not in a world in which adults can’t plan a fucking intervention. It makes sense for her to be holding the Election under her heel now and going on it could only get worse, with Yumeko hindering her own allies — if she ever had any.
Which brings us to a final point: the way Yumeko builds her relationships and why.
Her first connection at Hyakkaou is Suzui, who’s in so much debt that he’s considering dropping out. He’s a naive guy, too good for his own good. He’s easy to mold in Yumeko’s hands and that’s eaxctly what she does in more than a gamble (ESP, Zero Nym-Type). Is this also because of the “monster” inside of her, preying on the weak to take as much as it can? I don’t believe their friendship is completely “pure”, though I also don’t think Yumeko is harmful by nature. She might not even be fully conscious of this.
We have Saotome, who believed herself so sleek and ended up as a House Pet. Why would Yumeko befriend someone who tried to ruin her on her very first day? Did she see a powerful ally and a perfect opponent in order to seek the thrill of the risk, or is she really just that naive? Yumeko isn’t stupid. Intelligence also comes through emotional values. Again, I don’t believe her connection with Mary is devoid of secondary reasons, though just like in Suzui’s case, the latter come into play only when they hinder Yumeko’s gambling.
Tsubomi and Itsuki were practically shouldered and then used with the promise of obtaining something better for themselves. Sayaka? She called Yumeko a “plague” and yet Yumeko never really resented her. Sure she almost caused her death, but that was a collateral matter. Yumeko harbors no ill intent towards her, notwithstanding Sayaka’s hatred. Yumeko doesn’t show hate for Kiwatari either, and yet he never acted right around her.
Midari, on the other hand, deserved her indifference and dislike because she messed up their gamble and there’s nothing that Yumeko dislikes as much as a set result in her games. The two cases of Midari and Sayaka/Kiwatari are perfect to show the contrast between the kind of person Yumeko would be without her addiction and the kind of person she is now that her life is ruled by gambling.
What about Kirari then? In terms of risks, Kirari too showed a similar appetite. Perhaps Yumeko herself would like to see her own addiction consume her, just like she thinks Kirari would — thought I’m starting to believe the supernova talk was more about the clan than about herself. Maybe, just like Kirari with Ririka, Yumeko wants to fight the part of Kirari that resembles her the most and Kirari’s refusal proved that she had been very wrong in judging her character. Apparently Kirari “killed” her sister, but that’s Terano’s word, Yumeko never expresses herself on the matter.
In all these examples, the main thread is still the same. The gambling addiction has always been Yumeko’s core in the series and as of today it would be impossible to consider Yumeko’s character whole without it. People tend to forget its extent.
I do hope flashbacks and such will let us see how Yumeko was before she became a kakegurui, because in the end, addictions are only a part of who we are — unless we let them consume us.
I hope this answer was as satisfactory as it could be.

A “Slow Burn” Anime
Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor (Kaiji) was a fairly “slow burn” anime in my opinion. It took a while to get going, but once it did I was completely hooked. I ended up watching all 50 episodes over the course of 3 days. I kept watching because I got really invested in the story and the characters and wanted to know what would happen next.
Unsurprisingly, the protagonist of the anime is a guy called Kaiji. Kaiji is a young (about 20), unemployed man whose life is forever changed when a debt collector comes to his door to collect on the debt of a friend of Kaiji’s who has gone missing. As Kaiji, stupidly, cosigned for his friend’s debt, he is left with a bill for over 3million yen (about £22,000). However the debt collector offers Kaiji the opportunity to pay off the debt in one night. Having no money, Kaiji jumps at this chance and is thrust into a series of deceptively simple games where he must risk life and limb in order to clear his debts.
One of the first things that stood out to me about Kaiji was the art style. Kaiji’s art style was dramatically different to most other anime that I have seen. Originally I thought this anime was from the ‘90s, as I thought that it’s art style reminded me of some of the anime I have seen from that period. However, it was actually made in 2007, which was quite strange for me to find out. This art style does seem to have been a deliberate choice though as it complements the brash language used and the subject matter (gambling), which is quite adult in nature. Often contemporary anime consists of characters drawn with soft lines and numerous curves, especially in the eyes and the hair. (I do know there are major differences between different styles of anime, but this is a general statement). In Kaiji on the other hand, strong straight lines make up the majority of the art. This is a vast contrast to the curved lines used in the eyes of a main character in season 2, which seems to be used to depict this character’s innocence and naivety around gambling.
Something else I found interesting about the style of this anime was that there were no female speaking characters at all. This reinforces the stereotype that gambling is a male dominated activity and is in contrast to more contemporary anime dealing with the subject of gambling eg Kakegurui, which has numerous female characters involved in gambling.
One of the things I did really like about Kaiji was the villains. In Kaiji there are a few minor villains and one main villain who you meet at the end of season 1. When I say I really like this villain, I don't mean that we would be best friends if we met in real life, because I absolutely hated him and what he did, but I do think that he was designed really well. One of the words I would use to describe this villain would be ‘sociopath’ and watching sociopathic characters on anime or TV, is not always entertaining. Even anime that does profess that it uses sociopathic characters, often does not (eg Darker than Black, states that sociopathic characters make up the majority of the cast, however looking in to it more deeply, you can see that the characters are not in fact sociopaths, as they are motivated and have emotional responses to a range of situations). In Kaiji, the main villain has almost no emotional responses for anything and seemingly no real motivation for the things he does. I would really like a bit more character development on the villains though as I would like to understand more about how they became sociopathic
Kaiji was very much a slow burn for me. It normally takes me 3 or 4 episodes before I am wholly interested in an anime, however with Kaiji it took me somewhere around 8. Although I did really enjoy it, especially the more psychological aspects to it, such as the strategising for the games or certain character personalities. I do understand if some people get turned off by the anime taking so long to get going. I know that this was the reason that some of my friends didn't like it. However, I loved it and I would recommend it.

Winter Anime 2019
And here is the seasonal review! There were some amazing second seasons, mob psycho, kakegurui, fukigen na mononokean, but also some great new ones!
We try to give our opinion on the new anime this season without too much of a synopsis (you can get that anywhere) and just our comments ~ Of course, your view of an anime might be different, but we hope we made it easier for you to decide what to watch next (^▽^)
{ Winter ‘18 } { Spring ‘18 } { Summer ‘18 } { Fall ‘18 }
Adorable Food Goddess
Totally expected just food and more food, but it actually has an interesting plot. It’s also hilarious and the main girl is great, funny and capable! Which rarely happens in this kind of genres. So it’s a big plus! So, romance, food and laughs, a good combination ^^
Boogiepop Phantom
Somewhat weird at the beginning and through the middle and the rest... xD BUT it has that interesting eerie aura that keeps you yearning for more and go through till the end. Also, keep in mind if you plan to watch this that you should begin with the 2019 version first and then switch to the older one since that is the chronological order of events (also try to remember the names of people because the art style is different so that you don’t suffer like me xD).
Dimension High School
This one is really special. A stupid kind of humor some people (like me hehe) might enjoy, but others will consider utter rubbish. The mix of 3D and animation is weird and the whole story is a bit dumb, but it somehow works in their favor. If you like stupid humor, you might like it. You can tell right from the first episode because all the rest have the same feel to it. (I don’t regret watching it, it did make me laugh and I actually looked forward to relaxing a bit watching it every week ^^ just don’t expect anything amazing)
Domestic Girlfriend
A romance and drama story about a boy in love with his teacher and then he tries to get over it by sleeping with a girl he meets. Soon, both of them become his sisters due to their parents marriage. It is angsty and has a lot of drama, and even more unresolved complexes considering their sexuality, affection and relationships. Also, who let these teachers be teachers? haha. It’s a drama, sometimes too awkward and slow, but there is a lot of fanservice with the girls for those interested and the story develops in an interesting way that makes you continue watching it. It also does well in portraying the characters development and the more psychological side of the story.
Dororo
Amazing and ingenious! Loved it! One of the best this season. It is a bit on the darker side and has some gruesome scenes, but it’s extremely interesting, the story is well paced, the battle scenes are great and there are some heartwarming ones as well (also Dororo is precious). Looked forward to this every week! Beautiful and compelling to watch!
Gen:lock
A mecha story done right! Rooster teeth never disappoints! Maybe it doesn’t fit in this list, but it’s still amazing and interesting! The characters are also extremely different and lovable ~
Gotobun no Hanayome
An anime about a guy being a tutor to his harem that happen to be quintuplets. Not really that interesting, but not too terrible. It’s okay for one episode a week, but probably couldn’t binge watch it though.
Grimms Notes The Animation
It’s pretty generic anime, but that doesn’t mean it’s not good, just doesn’t have the wow effect. It doesn’t stand out, but the idea behind it all is good! The main characters venture into the world of different stories, everything from Little Red Riding Hood to Alice in Wonderland and show an alternative side to the well known tales. Cute and amusing, just not binge-worthy material.
Kaguya-sama: Love is war
A not so typical romance story where the two protagonists really seem to be made for each other, but their pride keeps getting in the way xD There is also the funny commentary from the narrator that quirks up the already comedic scenes. Definitely worth the watch, it’s hilarious! (I looked forward to this anime and it even exceeded my expectations!)
Kemurikusa
Okay, we really loved this anime. The first episode was confusing, but the more you watch the more interesting it becomes. It has a really interesting and imaginative plot. Everything is really well done, from the characters to the world. The only thing that will probably deter people the most is the animation, but you get used to it with time and it’s worth “suffering through” it for the story ^^
Mahou Shoujo Tokushusen Asuka
Once again there is a dark magical girl anime in the season! The plot is not too deep but interesting enough if you are into this kind of story. The only difference is that this anime leans more to the military type of battle, rather than just magic. Be prepared to see lots of blood, boobs, tragic backgrounds and some yuri teasing!
Meiji Tokyo Renka
A typical otome of the season. The MC is pretty blank, but they tried to make it lovable by giving her cute traits like tripping (all the time) and loving food lol But aside from her and her main guy, the side characters are pretty sweet and interesting (they are the reason I continued watching this)!
So well, a sweet romance story, but the bickering of everyone else but the main couple is priceless!
My Roommate is a Cat
This anime is really fun to watch if you own a cat (or are a passionate lover of felines) because you can easily relate to the daily life of Haru. You get to see her reactions, from the point of a cat, on various situations and easily laugh or cry over the fun and sentimental things she goes through with her owner (who is also very relatable). A lot of feels, a lot of cuteness, loved it! Both easy going and filled with emotions and character growth.
Near Death!! Ekoda-chan
A 3 minute anime about Ekoda and her everyday life. Each episode has a different director and voice actor, but they all do a very good job portraying Ekoda. It’s short so it doesn’t get boring, even though the episodes are sometimes completely random and sometimes they are incredibly relatable. Overall, liked it ^^
Psychic Princess
Still haven’t watched enough episodes to truly say it’s amazing, but so far it is! The main heroine is finally capable and independent. She can fight and speak to ghosts and will let no man near. It’s still a romance story, with plenty of datable guys. And it’s also very funny ^^
Shingeki no Bahamut: Manaria Friends
15 minute long episodes that tell the story of two (girl)friends in the Mysteria academy, in the SnB universe. The plot isn’t connected with Virgin Soul so you can watch it even if you haven’t seen the other seasons. The plot is somewhat yuri oriented and concentrates mainly on school life.
The Promised Neverland
Probably everybody knows about this anime, that is just how good it is. It will always leave you on the edge of your seat. It is really interesting and well made. The characters are great, the plot is great. Loved it!
The Rising of the Shield Hero
Not your typical I-got-teleported-into-another-world anime because in the very first episode there’s a really good plot twist. It’s really interesting to follow the character development and each episode leaves you yearning for more. Although everyone seemed hyped for this anime adaptation, I didn’t think that it would leave me so amazed at the very beginning and excited to see more!
Dropped: Ueno-san wa Bukiyou, Kouya no Kotobuki Hikoutai, Endro!, Cost of Smiles

My anime-watching schedule (and sleep schedule) have been pretty screwed up as this semester nears its end, but I managed to finish off the winter season! Ended up dropping some more stuff, but I did finish what I wanted to.
Dimension High School: Honestly this was really weird. I like how it was kind of pioneering an interesting mix between 3D and 2D, but I don’t think it was very popular with most. I did find it fun though. I haven’t watched any live-action shows in a long time so it was pretty refreshing.
Dororo: Just waiting for the second half to start, still really enjoying it and Hyakkimaru is moe as usual. I’ve had a glimpse here and there of the manga, and it seems to be kinda loosely following it but changing some stuff? I do hope that Tahomaru doesn’t become super antagonistic though.
Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue: Cute anime overall, cute human and cute cat. Very comfy anime, although it’s hard for me to fully appreciate comfy stuff right now with how busy I am.
Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Great adaptation of a hilarious manga. I have high hopes about an S2! The manga seems to be taking an interesting turn though...
Kakegurui XX: I think the beginning episodes were the best. Last few episodes I kinda lost interest. And they basically shoved a random new character in just to be the antagonist for the last 2, and everything gets resolved super quickly. They also moved the tower arc into the middle of the election, which just felt so out-of-place for me.
Kaze ga Tsuyoku Futeiru: Great anime overall. I will say that I think it was a lot longer than it needed to be, although just 12 episodes wouldn’t have the same buildup. In the middle would have been fine. But I feel pretty proud of the characters. And I really liked the Kakeru/Prince bromance slightly ship it.
Mob Psycho 100 S2: Superb adaptation. I’ll be honest, I think episode 11 was the best episode tbh. The last fight felt really short and less impactful to me. But still amazing overall. I think 1 more season could finish off the whole manga, and the manga has a pretty great end that I hope also gets the love it deserves. I think S1 and S2 were both equally great so I can’t really place one over the other.
Tate no Yuusha no Narigari: I ended up dropping this with a 2-3 episodes left. I just didn’t really care about the story anymore I guess.
Tensei shitara Slime Datta ken: Technically I finished the main story? But I dropped this before the extra 2 episodes at the end or whatever. I just got bored of this one too. Even the hot ogres weren’t enough to keep my interest.
Yakusoku no Neverland: Good adaptation, although if they do adapt further I don’t think I’ll watch it. Like I said before, I’m kinda ambivalent about the manga.
For spring season I’ve got a lot on my to-watch list, but most of it is checking out 1 episode and seeing if I want to continue. But there’s definitely some that I really look forward to, like Kimetsu no Yaiba this Saturday! And Fruits Basket apparently aired today, I really want to watch it but I’m making myself study first. :(

Animethon
There are a couple of things I want to touch about animethon-
(that would include, lolicon, cosplay, the community and the anime being shown there)
Lolicon
I went to Animethon 2022 and it honestly wasn't bad as I thought it was going to be. While yes there were still body pillows, mouse pads with the wrist holders being womens butts or boobs, there weren't as much as I would have thought there would've been. Although in the anime community, lolicon has been more and more stigmatized and controversial, which are some nice strides but I am aware there will always be those people in the community. Regardless of the community, trash people are still attracted to it.
My cosplay
I cosplayed as Rem because it was the only costume I had. I never even watched re zero... I wanted to cosplay as Runa from Kakegurui but my sister took my costume. Basically Rem's costume is just a maid costume with more added details. I don't usually wear makeup anymore but I did wear makeup for the cosplay because I am being a character. One thing I was nervous about was I did not shave in almost a month. I have been trying to eliminate shaving and to be honest, I was tempted to shave for the cosplay since I thought it would look weird to be in a maid outfit and not have shaven armpits. I was so proud of myself for not giving into shaving though. I did the cosplay without shaving and it went just fine. No one pointed it out or cared.
The community
The community itself at animethon was more of less, pretty good. But of course there are those creepy men who have no friends and only wank to their anime "waifus". Sad but true. I myself didn't get any uncomfortable comments made towards my body. Actually a guy asked to take a picture of me and him together since he was also wearing a maid outfit. It was nice and he was sweet about it. My sister had a man who also was cosplaying and liked Runa as a character and wanted a photo of her costume. He was very hesitant to ask and was only awkward) The bad was mainly just stuff that I heard. There is a female character on One Piece (i don't watch it so i don't know her name) she has her button up shirt unbuttoned. I could hear a man applauding the cosplay (because she did really do a good job recreating the look) but then going on to immediately talk about her boobs and calling them "knockers". It was quite annoying and uncomfortable. Extra note; I saw men in maid outfits just as much as women were in maid outfits.
Jobless Reincarnation
While me and my friends were waiting for the Animal Crossing Scavenger hunt, we went into a screening room to watch an anime. We walked into a random one we have never heard of "Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation" description : An unnamed 34-year-old Japanese NEET is evicted from his home after failing to attend his parents' funeral. After some self-reflection, he concludes that his life is ultimately pointless. Still, he intercepts a speeding truck heading towards a group of teenagers in an attempt to do something noteworthy for the first time in his life. He pulls one of them out of harm's way just before he dies. He awakens in the body of a baby and discovers he has been reincarnated in a world of sword and sorcery. He resolves to succeed in his new life, abandoning his previous identity in place of Rudeus Greyrat. Rudeus develops a strong affinity for magic due to his aptitude and early training. He becomes a student of demon magician Roxy Migurdia during his youth, a friend of demihuman Sylphiette, and a teacher of magic to noble heiress Eris Boreas Greyrat. The story chronicles his new life's highlights as he attempts to overcome the failures of his previous one. Now that sounds like a good anime, someone getting over the trauma over their previous life into a new. However this series was a massive pile of SHIT. This man has faced bullying in his previous at the end of his life, right before he is evicted from his home, he is wanking off to some (unshown) p*rn. He sexualizes all the women in his life while just at the age of 4. He took off Sylphiettes underwear when she repeatedly said no because he thought she was a "guy" because she has short hair. His parents are constantly having sex at night. The whole anime is awful. The concept is completely ruined when it shows that he is no better than the people who he abused in his previous life and you honestly don't feel bad for the main character, you hate the main character. I was disappointed there wasn't an age restriction to the series, anime could watch it at animethon and also I was disappointed that they were even showing it in general. I was completely in shock after.

Kakegurui omo hcs
Nobody asked for this but I'm still on my gambling girlz bullshit and I wanted my headcanons typed out for future writing purposes so get ready (Warning: This post contains omorashi and dirtier watersport kinks, back out now if you don't like that bc I'm not putting slashes in all the names) :
LA Midari: She gets her own section bc (somehow) she seemed even less composed than the animated one so they're almost different characters: She's prone to holding to ridiculous extremes when she's very invested in a task/having fun, and would rather cling on until she wets herself than actually take a quick break bc she's sure she can hold it. When she's like this (even tho she doesn't realize it) she's super obvious about it, constantly doing a little dance and grabbing herself or squirming in her seat, whining under her breath, but even when ppl fuss at her to go she'll swear she's fine until she's finished whatever she's doing or the less-fortunate scenario occurs. Genuinely surprised when she pisses herself, embarrassed for like a minute, but then probably laughs it off. ((I could also see this hc sort of working for animated Midari, but only if Yumeko was involved somehow (ex. They're in the middle of a gambling match or just hanging out) bc that's the only reason she wouldn't dare leave. Anyone or anything else (bar The President) and animated Midari would just say 'fuck it' and go tbh.)) Also she has definitely walked to the edge of her cell and pissed at least once just to drive Manyuda up a wall when she's mad at him/feels like the rest of the council was ignoring her. Not bladdershy in the slightest since she seems to spend most of her time locked up in her own area in full view of the council (Like she can clearly get out for breaks and stuff but there had to have been times they refused to release her bc she was extra unstable and they just gave her a pot or smth).
Midari (animated aka my fav) : I have a lot of varying ideas I like with her. On one hand, she could easily be the type to go in front of anyone in any situation and gripe the whole time and not give a fuck, considering her attitude towards everything else. On the other hand, she could be severely bladdershy just to conflict with the rest of her wild personality. Either way, she (generally) doesn't like the idea of piss getting on her/her clothes, outfits/accessories are important to her. That said, if in a sexual setting, she's willing to make the sacrifice if it gets her partner riled up, especially if it leads to her being humiliated and degraded. Still gets fidgety when desperate, but for the most part she tends to be subtler about it unless she wants someone to know (ex. Already said she had to and was denied so she might as well squirm and growl about it to annoy them, or in a sexual setting to tease her partner). If she gets past a certain point of desperation though, she will abandon all subtlety and bounce around holding herself like her life depends on it. Would piss on someone without a second thought if asked tbh. She's a freak so like, she might drink it, but probs only if it was Yumeko's and she asked her to.
Mary: The absolute definition of being too proud to say she has to go. Capable of avoiding outward signs of desperation for the most part, although her temper will usually flare up over nothing which lets the more observant know something's up. Completely loses concentration when desperate. She can hold for long amounts of time, but once the urge catches up with her, it catches up fast. She rubs her thighs together a lot and taps her feet, refuses to grab her crotch ever. If pushed to the point where it's unavoidable, she'll bite the bullet and bring up her need, but she'll still deny any extra coddling or sympathy by saying she can handle it until they get somewhere. Will only use odd receptacles/places as a last resort. Wetting would be beyond mortifying for her, but she would refuse any comfort at all and storm off. If you breathe a word, you're dead. No piss kinks, might be willing to try it for a partner, but prefers domming them to holding herself.
Yumeko: Like many things, it doesn't concern her one way or the other. Equally likely to ask the second she feels the urge (even if the timing is inconvenient to everyone else) as she is to keep quiet and hold it until she can't anymore (and either bring up how desperate she is completely calmly, or accidentally wetting herself), it just depends on her daily whim. She doesn't get rattled when desperate, only excited, and enjoys the slight urgency it brings to games. Technically has a bladder of steel, but she drinks a lot for the sake of enjoying tea and such so it evens out tbh. Doesn't like interrupting what she's doing to get up and go. Not shy at all, would probably hike her skirt out of the way and pop a squat in the middle of the school yard if someone didn't stop her. Probably That Girl (tm) who tries to hold a full conversation in the stall next to you while she's going lmao. Absolutely has a piss kink, ranging from cutesie omo/desperation (either herself or her partner) to the filthiest watersports you can think of, often combined with petplay or bdsm.
Itsuki: Tiny bladder, literally always has to pee even if she barely drank. Tends to bounce in place and pace a lot, especially since she's already naturally energetic. Tries to grin and bear it/make jokes about it until she can take care of it, but if it takes too long she just gets upset and panicky. Very vocal and whiny to friends, but around strangers/important ppl she struggles to stay quiet and professional. Wetting would definitely upset her since she has her company's image to keep up, but Yumeko could probably ease the sting. No piss kink and would be sceptical at first, but still open to it once her partner explains it (I mean this bitch collects nails, she can't exactly judge). Only the desperation/wetting though and kinda cutesie, she would draw the line at the harder stuff.
Kirari: So calm and collected, she could be wetting herself right in front of you and you wouldn't know it. She wouldn't though. All about control of herself and her environment, The President has both a bladder and will of steel, and could outlast even Yumeko without any competition. If by some miracle her need did get to a tipping point, she would stay composed outwardly, but wouldn't last long with actually holding it, since she isn't used to being pushed so far. The only person she would confide her needs in is her secretary, Sayaka, and perhaps the VP. Definitely embarrassed by wetting, but would also be intrigued, feeling a hint of awe that her control was broken. As for kinks, she definitely has it, but she's much more into seeing others desperate than going through it herself. She prefers to dom her lovers and victims, watching them squirm for the sheer sake of coming unraveled. Bdsm, petplay, and pure humiliation are her specialties, and she does not play lightly. Would be willing to pee on somebody, even in their mouth, but only to chuckle at how pathetic they are to allow such treatment. For the few she is actually attached to, she is capable of showing a gentler side, putting more of her focus into making them feel good and possibly learn to enjoy the sensations that that kind of desperation can offer. She greatly dislikes the mess that comes with it, and insists someone comes to clean the room and anything that got wet the minute after the fun is over.
Ryota (because I guess I should throw him in) : Average bladder, shy about asking if smth important is happening, casually leaves if not. Lots of stealthy-not-stealthy crotch grabs or leg crosses if forced to hold, his expression is a dead giveaway bc he doesn't have a poker face to save his life. Tries not to whine too much unless there's a way someone could help. Definitely embarrassed by wetting, but tbh he's been through so much worse at this point that he'll get over it by the next day. Doesn't have any kink, but isn't disgusted by it and is down for it to make Yumeko happy as long as it stays to desperation/wetting (he draws the line at being peed on, but will mark her if she begs for it).

2021 Anime Watch: REMAINDER OF THE YEAR
Here we are; down to the last four months of the year. Make that three actually.
For September, I'm actually not going to be watching anything new or unseen. Instead, this will be a catchup month; taking time to finish other anime titles from the past that hasn't been completely done. Other than the final thoughts posts that have been piling up in my drafts, here are the following few things I want to accomplish:
Ranma 1/2 OVAs (this has been put off for way too long; already watched the anime last year and the movies, but never got to these)
I STILL HAVEN'T WATCHED SAILOR MOON ETERNAL.
*still searching for the Healin Good Precure movie with my best girls, you know the ones*
(I HAVE NO FREAKING CLUE IF SANPEI RECOVERED FROM COVID-19.)
Still debating on Kakegurui S2 (since I watched it initially in 2018)
Love Live Superstar is still ongoing, don't fight me!!
(No, this actually was a troll move on Sunrise. F'you, Sunrise!)
There is that Bandori movie involving Roselia...
OH, WAIT....THAT FINAL EPISODE OF WONDER EGG PRIORITY
(I have heard some negative reviews, but need to see it for myself).
ONE MORE THING BTW.....GIRLS AND TRAINS.
(To be continued...)
-------------------
Now, onto the future anime watches (and rewatches) for the rest of the year. Starting with October...
October
It technically is still my 10th anniversary, btw. Recalling 2011 was a weird time, not just because I went to college and dove back into anime, but for discovering an odd anime title I've NEVER heard before that my good buddy BFF was reblogging over in her blog called...Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
It's been a decade. I'm going back and reminiscing on a series that...REALLY OPENED MY EYES TO HOW FAR WRITERS AND ARTISTS ARE WILLING TO GO TO BREAK THE STEREOTYPICAL "mahou shoujo" STIGMA.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is a second series??? Magia Record S2 just started, but I will not go there right away until I review the original PMMM series and movies first.
(She's gonna kill me
she's gonna kill me
she's gonna kill me
she's gonna kill me)
(Look forward to my second opinion for this franchise by Halloween).
-------------------
November
Finally, I get to dedicate a month to girls....AND TANKS.
(I had this on my watch list for the past couple years, but new titles kept pushing this back. YOU THOUGHT ERI SENDAI AS A BITCHY CHOCOHOLIC RABBIT FAIRY WAS NUTS, I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO HER IN THIS SERIES).
----------
December
So, Ash, how are you ending your 2021?
Another round of Digimon?
Perhaps...something new?
More like, going back to another anime....that had so much passion in their stories. Before Precure was ever conceived, Toei had a successful mahou shoujo series that ran for five years. It celebrated 20 years in 2019, and the 20th anniversary movie did come out last year, but for the sake of its recent milestone, I will revisit what I believe is the most wholesome anime in my opinion.
Y'all think I'm crazy or awkward when I mention:
OJAMAJO DOREMI
Yes, I am that desperate to check this out again. I could never get over its charm, innocence, and bold undertones. Heck, I'm excited to actually watch the 20th anniversary movie alongside it.
(Of course, I will have to split this into five months (most likely February, May, August, and November 2022).
---------
That being said, this concludes the schedule for the rest of the year. It may subject to change as the pandemic may take a turn for the worst (or better depending on the vaccination rates).
Now, before I go, I do want to make note that my plans for 2022 in terms of watches may not be as constant (my job makes things hard). What I do know:
Dropkick on My Devil is suppose to return next year with S3.
Tokyo Mew Mew rewatch will happen as part of the 20th anniversary, but not sure when; although I might sneak in the newer version throughout 2022.
I will do Tropical Rouge! Precure as usual (most likely in March).
*staring blankly at when the LL! staff will decide to pull the plug on Aqours and force Liella! to carry on the legacy (I give them another few years before they decide to do so)*
might watch Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S once it ends
Okay, now I'm done. I will be back with more content (trying to post here alongside Insta and Pixiv in my spare time). Until next time, stay safe and get vaccinated. I'm lucky to have not suffered any worse than lethargy from the vaccine. Hopefully, the pandemic will come to a breaking point and see some sort of decline (I'm praying for 2024 to be almost normal with maybe some new traditions).
Goodnight everyone!

Non-Idol Manga List
Mod Hina: I’m a heavy manga reader, so I’ve at least pursued probably 75% of this list... /sweats
Mushishi’s not on this list at all which makes me a little sad but if you’re into really well drawn manga about supernatural fantasy I’d give it a read! It’s mostly episodic and slowly reveals more info about the enigmatic protagonist over the length of the series. It’s really really good.
07 Ghost - 1
Aizawa-san Multiplies - 1
Ajin - 1
Aku no Hana - 2
Akuma No Riddle - 1
Ancient Magus' Bride - 1
Anohana - 1

Mod Hina: I’m surprised to find someone else who’s even heard of this manga! I was close to finishing it but I never got around to it..
Assassination Classroom - 1
Attack on Titan - 1
Azumanga Daioh - 1
Beloved - 1
Berserk - 2
Bleach - 2
Mod Hina: I’ll admit, I didn’t read much of the manga.. But I did skim the last 40 or so chapters after I heard it was ending.
Bloom into You - 1
Boku no Hero Academia - 10
Mod Hina: I’m really into BNHA right now! One of the manga I keep up with on a weekly basis.
Overhaul is.. my favorite.. So is Dabi.. It’s me, Trash Lover Supreme.
Bokurano - 1
Bright and Cheery Amnesia - 2
Bungou Stray Dogs - 4
Mod Hina: I also love BSD?
Canis - 1
Citrus - 3
D.Gray-Man - 2
Death Note - 3
Mod Hina: CLASSIC. This is like one of the first manga that I finished completely. I read it all in middle school too.. My weeb phase...
Don’t talk to me about the Netflix movie.
Doraemon - 1
Dorohedoro - 1
Doukyuusei - 1
Dragonhead - 1
Fairy Tail - 3
Fate series - 1
Franken Fran - 1
Fruits Basket - 1
Mod Hina: Ah. Like Death Note, I also read Fruits Basket in middle school. This is such a nostalgia bomb for me because Fruits Basket was my first manga, iirc.
Fruits Basket actually introduced me to the idea of online scanlation groups too. I couldn’t find the last few volumes in any libraries around me, nor in any bookstores. So I resorted to downloading them online after finding out about the translations.
Fullmetal Alchemist - 1
Mod Hina: Fullmetal Alchemist is one of my all-time favorite manga and I’m very sad that it only got 1 nomination out of all of the nominations.
FMA is very poignant and deals a lot with the consequences and reality of war. It’s very good and it’s very amazing. Please read it if you can.
It’s a longer series and while I did start reading this one in middle school, unlike the others, I took longer to finish reading this. I think I finished sometime in high school.
I think this manga still holds up to the test of time, as well.
If you’re more of an anime person, the anime is really good too! I’d recommend watching the original FMA first, and then FMA:B because of the fact that FMA:B’s beginning is rushed, because it assumes that you’ve either read the manga or watched the original FMA.
The original FMA deviates from the manga canon, which is where FMA:B was made to fix that.
Please appreciate Greedling he is my favorite character of all time.
Fuuka - 2
Gakuen Babysitters - 1
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun - 4
Mod Hina: A good, wholesome manga! I love GSNK too and it’s hilarious.
GIRLS und PANZER - Ribbon no Musha - 1
Golden Kamui - 1
Haikyuu!! - 4
Mod Hina: Another weekly read for me! I love everyone in Haikyuu so much? What a good cast, and what good character development. Even the less significant characters get a chapter or two dedicated to their character arc.

Koe no Katachi - 1
Mod Hina: I highly recommend this manga.
Another moment where I’m sad that this didn’t get that many recommendations.
It’s very realistic. Like, you’ll end up hating some characters, but that’s because they’re written to be realistic. There are people who did something wrong, who have character flaws, who know that they’re flawed, and some of them will try to change themselves, while others will disregard it because their life is fine, like in real life.
Overall the story is extremely poignant and touching. The ending is open-ended, which some people might not like, but I really enjoyed this because it’s so well written. It reflects real life, in my opinion.
Kuroshitsuji - 2
Kuzumi-kun, Kuuki Yometemasu ka? - 1
Liar Game - 1
Mod Hina: I started reading this manga years ago. At some point, the group translating it dropped the manga so there was a one year gap before anyone picked it back up, I think.
I need to finish this because I stopped at the gap, but I haven’t read it in years so I’ve forgotten what happened. My plan is to reread the whole thing, but it’s quite long so I don’t know when I’ll get around to that.
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid - 1
Nanbaka - 1
Naruto - 4
Mod Hina: I.. actually own a few volumes of Naruto. Like the Rock Lee vs Gaara fight is in one of the volumes I own.

ReLife - 3
Rosario + Vampire II - 1
Rouroni Kenshin - 1
Sailor Moon - 1
Sakamichi no Apollo - 1
Shokugeki no Soma - 5
Mod Hina: Another weekly read for me. I mostly just like the art of food. The plot is kind of weak to me, and I legitimately got mad at the plot armor for one of the main protagonists once, haha.
Shuuen no Shiori - 2
Mod Hina: I’ve read a bit of this! I don’t think a lot of it is translated so I haven’t read beyond that.
Slam Dunk - 1
Soul Eater - 1

Tsurezure Children - 2
Uzumaki - 1
Mod Hina: WHO ARE YOU? WE ARE BEST FRIENDS NOW. SORRY ELLIE.
I love Junji Ito a lot? He’s amazing and I’ve read all the works I can find from him that are translated..
Except Gyo. I have this abject rejection of Gyo for some reason.
I absolutely love the beginning of Uzumaki, although the end gets kind of weird for me.
Vanitas no Carte - 2
We Can't Study - 1
Yagate Kimi ni Naru - 1
Yotsuba - 1
Mod Hina: Yotsuba is also really big nostaglia for me. I never “finished” it (aka caught up since it’s still publishing) but I did start reading it in middle school. It’s one of the first manga I read and it really throws me back to my tweenage days.

Summer 2017 Anime: Final Impressions
My excuse for this being so late is that I was waiting for The Reflection to end, but also school is kicking my ass and depriving me of my will to live lol. The summer was a mysterious season, with shows I was very hyped about turning out to be a disappointment, whereas shows I expected to be utter trash ended being quite entertaining, and even a sequel I thought was bullet proof self-destructed in the end. So let’s get down to business to defeat the huns (I just watched Mulan yesterday, I can’t help myself I love that movie too much, I swear I won’t do it again... too soon)
1. Boku no Hero Academia 2: Season one of HeroAca was an entertaining and very well executed example of why the Shonen Jump formula still works. Season two is absolutely fantastic in every possible way. The pacing was good, the animation was excellent (praiseth be BONES) and this second part of the story did an outstanding job in fleshing out its extended ensemble cast, something many shonen manga fail to do. It also has the balls to question its own idealized hero society and even bring in some complex topics regarding radicalization. It’s just an overall really good show with an extremely lovable cast, and I can’t wait for season 3. Easily takes the gold for this season.
2. Fate/Apocrypha: I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Fate might be my favorite new show this season. It’s not without its deficiencies –Jeanne pretty much does nothing but run around and be Shocked and Confused, Palurdo-kun is a boring potato, we don’t really feel like we know any of the characters- but it’s definitely better written and less pretentious than UBW and although the characters are shallowly written, they’re pretty likable and share interesting dynamics. Heck, in the latest episode (I wrote this like two weeks ago oops) I even felt bad for Vlad Tepes of all people. Also Astolfo and Mordred are too excellent to exist.
3. Made in Abyss: This one was a lot of folks’ fave anime of the season, and it is indeed a very unique and marvelous production in many different senses. It has an original main idea, with imaginative creatures and landscapes, lovable characters with interesting dynamics and very well placed twists and turns to keep the audience engaged. It meanders quite a bit in the middle, and I couldn’t help wonder what purpose exactly Ozen’s training served when Reg and Riko were proved to be hugely unprepared to face the deeper layers of the Abyss, but the final few chapters were superb in every way. I do however have to take points off it because of how it casually throws around the idea of extreme physical punishment for children and the mangaka’s gross pedo omorashi fetish. I’ve heard it was severely toned down for the anime and it was still uncomfortable to watch, I distinctly remember at least three different scenes about Riko peeing herself. It was unfortunately recurring and notorious enough to damage my impression of the show permanently, but it’s still a highlight in an otherwise dry season.
4. Kakegurui: I didn’t have a lot of expectations for this show, but it turned out to be pretty neat trashy entertainment. The whole ahegao aesthetic wasn’t much my thing, but other than that it was a lot of fun, Yumeko was a unique and interesting protagonist, and her wildcard personality made the results of the bets not necessarily predictable. I’ll say the final episode, which was an anime original, was quite a disappointment because it basically achieved nothing in terms of plot or character development –except maybe for Suzui. You could tell they rushed through some plot elements and struggled with the pacing overall, and I’d say the episode with the girl with the gun fetish was kind of a waste, not because of the icky concept itself, but because the bet was pretty boring and kind of achieved nothing. Otherwise it was pretty fun and Sayokan’s opening was A+++
5. Katsugeki Touken Ranbu: Well I actually finished this one, as opposed to Hanamaru, so that’s already a small victory. It still wasn’t the show I wanted it to be and specially the faceless, aimless quality of the villains makes it pretty much impossible to get invested in the plot, but I really liked the direction they took in the last few episodes. Episodes 9 and 10 were specially brilliant. I think Horikawa’s defection could’ve been handled in a much more interesting way, but of course since all of the characters are meant to be sold as merchandise, there were things they weren’t ever gonna do, so I’ll take what I can get. Hopefully other Tourabu projects will follow along the same vein and explore the different swords in regards to their relationships with their former masters, hopefully adding more shades of gray to those dynamics. east three
6. Shoukoku no Altair: It had a slow start, but the show really picked up steam with the conflict over the Sultanlus and Mahmut orchestrating a coup. I still think the show loses potential by making the German Empire so unequivocally evil; a more daring writer would’ve made out a more nuanced conflict in which Torqye’s obsession with controlling the four sultanlus could be as manipulative and imperialistic as the Empire’s own ambitions. Still, it was a unique portrayal of a political conflict that was resolved quite creatively and in a very exciting and satisfying manner in spite of there not being a lot of action. I was definitely hyped seeing the four new sultans gathered together at the end before departing to their respective lands.
7. Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul: I find myself quite conflicted about what to do with Virgin Soul. I loved most of the show. It had some hiccups here and there, but overall, it had been one of my favorite series of the season –and potentially the year- Until the last three episodes. Since Mugaro’s murder, the series took a nosedive and it just never recovered. Though it might be more accurate to say that the problems the writing had been dragging along became unavoidable and, predictably, they were incapable of resolving them properly. Especially regarding Charioce. There almost seems to be a disconnect between the first and second halves, because the second half completely sweeps under the rug most of Charioce’s evil deeds. His motivations were awfully predictable and were insufficient to explain all the tyrannical shit he did in the first half. In light of how everything ended, Jean and Nina’s trip to the land of the gods turned out to be completely inconsequential. Even Mugaro’s death was completely meaningless. I assume it was meant to be a catalyst to send the Gods and Demons to fight the Humans, but then that confrontation didn’t come to real fruition because of the last minute Bahamut plot. And what was the biggest slap to us all was the final reveal that “Bahamut isn’t dead after all”. So the status quo is completely restored and the entire show was pointless. It’s frustrating because I can almost touch the threads of a great story –Nina and Charioce’s final dance would’ve been beautiful if they had earned it-, but in the end it’s reduced to a disappointing pile of missed potential.
8. Isekai Shokudo: Definitely meandered for at least one third (maybe even half) of its run, overdoing it with the over glorification of the most boring foods imaginable (no matter how much glossy effects and sparkles you put on it, there is no way to make natto on rice look luxurious and appetizing), but it was still a fairly pleasant show to watch, and the final episode had a few reveals that neatly wrapped up a few “plot points”, particularly the reveal of the chef’s ancestry and how that connects to the otherworldly visitants. I think it could’ve been a lot better, but I’m also not horrified by what it ended up being, which I consider a victory this season (looks at my top 3 from the pre-season anticipation post and weeps)
9. The Reflection: What a weird show. I have very mixed but not very strong feelings about it. The first episode was really bad, but it developed a few interesting ideas along the way. I think the crux of it though, was that it had more potential than the writers could develop in 12 episodes. My biggest disappointment is that Stan Lee wasn’t the final villain and in fact, his character didn’t really do a lot. Though I guess that could be applied to most of the characters, specially the villains. The final confrontation reeked of X-Men ripoff. Incidentally, I-Guy’s story and how that came to a climax at the finale was probably the strongest part of the show. I think it’s worth a watch, if only for how weird it is, even if it is ultimately a shrug overall. The ending –as in, the literal final scene- was terrible though. They should know this is never getting a sequel unless Stan Lee funds it with his own pocket money, so that ending makes noooo sense.
10. Centaur no Nayami: What a weird show. Why do we have so many weird shows this season. I was unsure about whether to put this one above or underneath The Reflection, Although in overall enjoyment, I liked this one more I gave it minus points because of all the icky fetishy stuff (is it too late to make another Miyazaki joke?). Also I needed more snake-girl centric episodes. Snake girl was too good, she was the best girl of the season and I will fight you about it. Idek what to say about this because it was so weird, which was good at times, and bad very bad at other times. Definitely not what I expected.
11. Re:Creators: I’ve already kind of talked passingly about this show’s multitude of problems so I won’t go too deep into it here. I think the show itself kind of plays itself with this final dialogue. Supposedly, director Ei Aoki said this was supposed to symbolize “how sometimes even if you try your hardest you still fail”, but that doesn’t excuse 20 episodes of floundering around with characters that got stunted development arcs, often resolved with the power of convenience, and that served no real purpose to the plot. Except for Magane who was a plot convenience walking, to the point she goes off scott free after literally murdering half a dozen people, but I guess it’s fine because she helped Sota to solve his manpain in the end. It really is a shame because the concept itself was fascinating, but the execution made it just a giant masturbatory “aren’t we anime makers the greatest” fest it just didn’t manage to be as cool as it believed itself to be.
12. Hitorijime my Hero: I guess it wasn’t worse than Super Lovers and that’s about the best kind of praise I can offer this show. Even if you look past the extremely questionable aspect of both relationships (idek which is worse, the teacher that wants to fuck his student or the guy that blackmails the other guy to have sex with him. At least neither is worse than the guy that grooms his own little brother?????) the show just isn’t good. It treads familiar melodrama plot points, but they’re executed so mechanically they fail to make any impact. What little drama there is, it’s terribly forced, which in tail causes the resolutions to be flat and anticlimactic. The production values are also butt, most of the time the characters look like they have balloon heads. Will we ever get the adaptation of an actually good BL manga that we deserve? Will I die before there is a Honto Yajuu anime?
13. Welcome to the Ballroom: Sigh, what is left to be said about Welcome to the Ballroom? I think calling it the biggest disappointment of the season would be an understatement. Although the introduction of Chinatsu has made the gender dynamics slightly more tolerable, it’s still too little to truly throw a wrench in a show that has systematically treated every woman in its cast like second-class citizens. I’ll keep watching the second half, and at least there seems to be an intent to occasionally use actual dance music –not that the sound editing does anything to favor that music, and the latest episode had more silence than music, but it’s a step-. I’d love it if Chinatsu and Tatara turned into a revolutionary, unique pair, with the woman playing the role of the leader. Now that would be the fix this show needs. Alas, I’m pretty sure that’s not going to happen, and that their relationship arc will be about Tatara learning to be a proper leader and Chinatsu a proper follower, so teasing us with Chinatsu’s leading proficiencies seems borderline cruel. We get it show, you hate women. Can you at least show me any actual animated dancing before the 24 episodes are over?
14. Vatican Miracle Examiner: This show is such a bizarre, surreal watch because it makes not a single ounce of sense whilst taking itself insanely seriously. It’s one of the many weird, confusing shows this season, but it’s probably the one that’s less self-aware. Although Ballroom is way more unpleasant and a way bigger disappointment, at least it has a coherent story (a terrible one, but coherent) and an attempt at good production values. Vatican Miracle Examiner doesn’t have any of those. But hey, it has a serial killer Santa Claus, rainbow cocaine Jesus and criogenized Adolf Hitler sperm, so who’s the real winner here?
I think I’ve checked out all the shows I intended to check out for the fall season but there are a few that I’m still undecided about, so I’ll give them a week or so beore I make my somewhat definitive watchlist
