alter3 PAGE ???

[FIRST] [<- PREV] [NEXT ->] (These don't work yet because this is the test post) The very first page of alter3! Ok that's a lie. This is my "test comic" to see if all the style choices are meshing well. I think my backgrounds could use some work but, eh, its good enough. Hopefully soon alter3 will enter full production!

If you're interested in the AU please send any asks about general lore stuff! I wont be able to answer story specifics but stuff like "why is it called alter3" and "what the fuck is everyone wearing" and "what do the heart icons mean?" will all be answerable.

Tryna figure out how the player will work in Alter3 + how to indicate their actions and I think I got an idea.

Ignore the poor quality it's a phone doodle but I think the point comes across.

In game there are actions that Kris is more likely to take, I imagine this feels alot more comfortable to Kris, sometimes to the point they don't even notice it isn't their own action. (Sometimes they're even like "am I even being possessed or did I just gaslight myself"). These actions are indicated by the half soul half asterisk. It's something Kris would have done anyway.

The full soul indicator is taking an action Kris would not have taken and often actively dislikes (something as simple as hugging Ralsei, or something as extreme as Snowgrave)

Then the asterisk + brackets indicator is Kris' thoughts. They're not visible to the player and not audible to anyone else. They're probably just gonna be used as an insight into Kris during the comic.

I imagine the soul isn't actively malicious. They're very curious, and don't really understand Kris but they're not evil. (In this AU they've spared every enemy, no snowgrave here, not even in other saves). But they also prioritise their own self interests. They're a HUGE Ralsei fan and will dote on him every opportunity given (much to Kris' dissatisfaction). Overall Kris isnt happy with them but is kinda glad they don't seem evil. They're playing nice and Kris just kinda hopes they keep it up and leave soon.

Doesn't stop Kris from hating them though.

Hey, quick question. If someone were to theoretically be considering drawing Chairiel and wanted to include Kris, and said person was already uploading a "slightly different from plain kris" design, would you want the person to use the person's own kris design or do you have a legally distinct from canon enough for art fight TOS (aka at least one detail noticeably different) personal kris design. totally theoretical. yeah. hypothetical.

I actually already do have a legally distinct Kris design for Alter3 (My DR au that both Mike and Chairiel are from)

For Alter3, I had wanted to make the designs more unique by showcasing the equipment that everyone had equipped! I hope this is legally distinct enough for art fight since they have both the Dealmaker and the Jevil's Tail (and also the bounce blade!

Of course I reccomend asking AF if the design is distinct enough (via either the discord, or contacting through the website) cos I didnt do much with them. And feel free to just use your own design anyway if you'd rather! It's your art and I dont wanna limit you!

Also IK you're not interested, but I want to show off my designs for Susie and Ralsei again (and also Toriel for the first time cos why not) as well so im dropping them here (and the test comic I did back when I was gonna make this AU a comic)

Unfinished comic I did for my Deltarune AU. Alter3. This is meant to be the Secret Boss fight with "Mike"

I still really like the ideas behind this. And I think alot of it stands up really well too. I just don't think its ever gonna get finished so might as well post it now

The desire to make Alter3 into a proper fancomic Vs M Y B R A I N

I have so many ideas and story arcs that are part of my Deltarune au, but I really struggle finishing pages. I've had a few ideas on how to do the comic while dealing with my brain (keeping the pages essentially just sketches, limited colour). Honestly would love ideas/suggestions on how to progress.
