You know what is fun? Baby Ghost Jason. You know what could be even more fun? Ghosts are Dragons. 

Jason? Aware of none of this. 

He was on comms, y’know listening and rolling his eyes at Dickwing, who used his real name, really Dick, he mocks. It’s just a stakeout, nothing new there, honestly boring when he could be blowing something up instead. It should have just been a stakeout. 

Yet there’s something suddenly there, something behind him. Something that causes his hair to stand on end and his comms to spark into static like some sort of horror movie. Something, something with clawed hands with corpse-pale skin tipped in black, stained or dead or something else, tilting his head up and up and up as he’s frozen. 

“A child, out here? Alone?” a voice crackles, hisses, hums, and purrs, somehow all at once, unnatural in its tone. He can’t move, he needs to move, he has to move, but it’s like the space around him has gone cold and dead, like he’s stuck in the Pits once more as claws hold his head and his vision blurs. “Sleep, child. Rest- we’ll be home soon.”

this weekend I got a library card for the library in my new city and spent a while exploring and getting excited about books. I had to restrain myself from checking out like every book in the tech section because they were all so interesting lol. for now I'm borrowing books on high performance python and identity security, because those are the two topics I'm struggling with at work right now haha. not pictured is Babel, which I'm currently reading as an ebook. I've just been in book mode for the past few weeks and I want to learn all the things!

also yesterday I published a post announcing the studyblr masterpost jam! there's been some chatting around studyblr about bringing back some of the old-style studyblr resource posts and the like, and I thought this would be a fun way to do it! I'll be writing a bunch of masterposts about cybersecurity next week and I'd love to learn about what y'all are studying <3

Knuckles Age / height chart

Age 6 Height: 2'0 Event: Tribe fall. (Aka when he literally had everything ripped from him.) He was born with a light pigment like other echidnas. Some echidna's fur will darken, some will stay light. Some will turn orange. All just depends. His eventually gets really dark like his father's, and less bright like his mom's. - Age 11 Height: 3'0 Event: Sonic 3 games. So pretty much his 'classic' counterpart. His coat's starting to be the more iconic red we know him with, and he's made some friends. (Including reuniting with Julie-Su) - Age 16 Height: 3'7 Event: Adventure and Modern Era. His coat is getting darker and nose more crooked. Ditched his sandals for more modern clothes to fit in with the rest of his friends. - Age 20+ Height: 3'10 Event: After Frontiers (which doesn't actually exist in this au but it would be the equivilency) Coat has darkened to what it will be, and his dreads/spikes have white tips to them. When he found out about becoming a father, he decided he wanted to actually start taking up his heritage again. He took to wearing sarong type clothing as well as relocating his father's dread rings. (apologies I'm not good at drawing clothes of any kind) All of this to say he's literally guilty about his appearance looking like his father's. He feels he's not worthy to hold such a close resemblance to him.

Danny has made a delightful discovery. Blob ghosts can in fact change their shape! Sure it’s simple shapes, but still! He has a school of flying blob fish and blob cats following him around and they’re adorable. And it’s not like most people can see them outside of Amity anyway, so they’re fine to follow him around as they like. 

Though maybe he should have remembered that the most doesn’t mean no one can see them. Um, hello? Feral stabby child?? No you can not steal some of his friends??? Where are your parents????

i still remember fretting over whether or not edward actually had a big stinkin' death flag in this scene. "i just need to... rest here a minute" could be such a death flag!!!

leaving him with a couple of stims is enough, tbh. and she probably even knows that. but fear this deep doesn't like to listen to logic

Still a sketch, but I've been updating Vallotash's head design (my Mordy scion aka Mourynn's true identity) since I've been wanting to do it for a while, and to give her more mordy features and to move her horns down to just her nose + fuse them into one so I could keep the vine horns (and I like how they turned out! I wanted the vine horns to match the vines of her tail). I still like her body so I'm not gonna update or change that. I just gotta update the front view refs now.

I don't talk FlightRising often because it's kinda something I do with my sister, so it's closer to "IRL" than "fandom" for me—but as someone in Light who recently celebrated her tenth anniversary on the site, the complaints I keep seeing about our new Everlux babies are ridiculous.

Light is the flight with the dragon breed whose bodies can and will fuse together into a horrible undead monster if too many of them are killed in a single location and their corpses aren't removed or destroyed quickly enough. Our other modern breed eats its own eggshell after hatching, as soon as it's able to chew, and then spits it back up in the form of a pearl that it just kinda carries around for the rest of its life. Why is the magical draconic caterpillar too much?

You don't have to like the design, but this is ludicrous. You don't have to keep them. I don't keep Ridgebacks because I don't like how they look. I promise no one is going to arrest you for not having the "right" dragon PNGs in your lair.

For the love of Glittermom, pick up your eggs from Galore, hatch them, then sell them. I don't think the babies are clanbound, are they? Just the eggs? (Correct me if I'm wrong on this.) Someone who wants them gets first-gen Everluxes, you get paid, everyone goes home happy.
