You don't mind still living with your family. Your little siblings are cool, your dad doesn't charge you rent (which is important when you're saving money to move across the country), and your stepmom makes a kickass casserole.

The only thing that sucks is living across the street from Jason Carver, the dickhead jock from your high school years who moved in a few months ago with his newlywed bride. They aren't bad neighbors, and his wife is actually very nice (which makes you feel sorry for her, having to be married to that monster), you just fucking hate him. He used to call you fat and write rude graffiti about you in bathroom stalls, and he once felt you up in the crush to leave the gym after a pep rally.

The same boyfriend who's still very much alive, leaned over the front of your car with his hair knotted at the nape of his neck, trying to figure out why you can't start your engine. You lean against the driver's side door and just gaze at him, admiring the sheen of sweat that sticks his fringe to his brow and the poke of his tongue between his lips, the furrow of concentration on his face.

God, he's sexy. And god, you can't wait to get out of Hawkins and have him all to yourself.

"You're eyefucking me again," Eddie drawls, leaning into the car to poke at something.

"And you hate it so much you wore a crop top to stop me," you tease.

He smirks, glancing up at you through his lashes.

"We're gonna have to tow it to the shop," he announces, pulling his bandana from his back pocket to wipe his hands clean of grease. "Don't have the right tools here."

You groan, rolling back onto the door.

"That's gonna seriously cut into our moving budget," you whine. "Can't you just use duct tape or something?"

Eddie chuckles as he strolls to your side, wrapping an arm around your shoulders to pull you in for a kiss.

"The owner of Smith's Towing owes me a favor," he tells you. "I'll see if I can call it in. And you know you can always pay me in head..."

You giggle, taking his face in your hands as he leans in for another kiss, tongue swiping at your lower lip. You're just about to start sucking serious face, maybe even grope him through his jeans, when your friendly neighborhood psychopath takes it upon himself to ruin the mood.

"I'm surprised she lets you kiss her looking like that, Munson," Jason jeers from across the street, having just come back from a run. "You look like a fuckin' pussy in that getup."

Eddie sneers, grumbling under his breath before putting on his best "fuck you, too" smile and raising his middle finger at him, tucking you in close to his hip.

"I'm surprised your wife lets you kiss her with that nasty ass mouth," you quip back. "Bet you taste real bitter."

If there's one thing you'll never not enjoy, it's Jason Carver seething over the fact that you, a little helpless woman, always have the wits to shut him up.

"My wife wouldn't be caught dead with a man like that," he spits. "If you can even call him that, with his hair like that."

"What, your wife didn't tell you?" Eddie chimes in. "Women like to see your face when you eat them out. That poor girl probably hasn't had an orgasm in her life. Least not from you."

Jason's on him in a flash, crossing the pavement in a matter of three strides and grabbing Eddie by the collar of his shirt. You're between them before either can throw a punch, grabbing a wrench from Eddie's open tool kit and holding it to Jason's face.

"Knock it off, jackasses," you snap. "You're grown fucking men. Get a grip."

Eddie relaxes, holding up his hands and taking a step back. Jason spits onto the sidewalk, also moving away.

"Listen to your whore, Munson," he mutters. "Too weak to keep the little bitch in line."

Eddie snaps. He pushes past you before you have time to react, taking Jason by the throat and landing a blow to the man's cheek. The rings on his fingers hit like brass knuckles. You manage to get a hold of him before he can do much damage, Eddie spitting in Jason's face as you haul him backward.

"You talk about her like that again and it's your life, Carver," Eddie growls. "You hear me? I'll rip you to fucking shreds."

The threat is so serious it startles even you.

Jason wipes the blood from his face onto his sleeve, eyes wide with terror as he scuttles up his driveway and through his front door. Eddie stretches his fingers, knuckles raw from the force of his punches.

"Way to not look like a murderer, Eddie," you deadpan.

"That fucker already thinks I am," he hisses. "Might as well scare him off. He speaks to you like that again, I'll kill him. And your dad'll help me hide the body."

You want to argue but you can't. Jim Hopper would hide a body if it were the body of a man who insulted you.

I'm newer to F1, and I was wondering if there are specific Schumi races or seasons that you would recommend to watch over the summer break?

So I can pretty much find a reason why any season Schumi was in was interesting but the top 3 seasons I recommend to people are 2000, 2002, and 2004 for different and complementary reasons. It's the beginning the middle and the end of Schumi Dominance era so it's rlly interesting to compare the three.

02 is like... imagine the dominance of Lewis and the W11 last year and that's essentially the level Schumi and Ferrari operated on that year. It's also noteworthy for Austria 2002 in which Ferrari got team orders banned by destroying Rubens' hopes and dreams. also three Championships in a row was almost unheard of at this point so the fact it quickly became clear that was what was going to happen was insane.

The title race isn't terribly interesting tho, which is why I also recommend 00 and 04. In 04 Schumi is seeing off a New Generation of challengers and young drivers.

My personal Favourite though is 2000, where he's chasing down Mika Hakkinen who is his Rival with a capital R. Their battles are my favourite to watch tbh because the way they play off each others driving style has to be seen to be believed. Every other driver was too frustrated by Michael's bullshit to challenge him but mika just had this way of staying calm and simply driving better to put him in his place.

The season has everything: a great rivalry, super high stakes (Mika had won back to back world championships, the rivalry was between Ferrari and mclaren who are Ancient Enemies, and Michael had promised the tifosi a championship and they had been waiting almost five years. That's pretty much exactly how long it took Ferrari to get fed up with Seb not winning then one), it's the season where Michael is the least dick dastardly BC he knew he COULDN'T pull that shit with Mika so it feels like the most Real championship won on skill and talent.

Also at Spa that year Mika and Michael reinvented the overtake when they split around a backmarker like he wasn't even there whilst dueling each other for the lead so even though it's not a great moment for Michael I always recommend it BC GOD.

Wow so. Um. Sorry. In short! 2000 season, especially spa. If you have time also 2002 (especially Austria) or 2004. Also as a funky little bonus: plz I am begging you all to go look up his Monaco pole lap in 2012. OKAY! so, rollerskating on, your monster looks like mine is the sex pollen fic I keep banging on about. I decided if I was going to do a widely panned trope I was going to go big vs going home (see also: dean pov, overdoing it in the face of perceived adversary is kind of my thing) and am trying to give it a theme and an arc and a truly unreasonable amount of angst. 

it takes place not that long after s3 and the two of them are like, you know, fairly well marinated in their animosity for each other and get thrown into this situation where they have limited control over how they physically feel about their proximity (heyo sex pollen!) and by god if they’re forced to be even a little bit vulnerable with each other they’re going to make it count and like, forcibly rip each other’s secrets out of each other (the hitman! lucy! 213! 209!). the whole idea behind the theme (and title) is a kind of hazy like calls to like, they’re both monstrous in overlapping ways and how they recognize/react to it is at the root of how they act towards each other. also, it’s alternating POV. 

idk, I have ambitious plans, a sprawling notes document, and probably like a third of it drafted but it’s super rough and I was in a weird place when I wrote it so it’s probs going to get reshaped a lot once I have the full draft out and see what I’m working with, but I have dug out a snippet under the cut!

He shows up a good twenty minutes after he told her to meet him, not bothering to park, just pulling up next to the van where she’s still fuming in the driver’s seat and telling her to get in. She gapes at him through the window, mouth opening and closing while she cycles through her options, deciding how she wants to play it. Curiosity must get the better of her though, because she hops in the passenger seat without a word—a fuckin’ miracle in and of itself. 

She holds it in for all of five minutes which, credit where credit’s due, is about four and a half longer than he was expecting.

“Where are we going?” 

She’s got that pissy little holier than thou tone going on, the one that always makes him itch to knock her down a peg or two.

“Bet you find out when we get there.”

The silence that falls between them’s thick enough it’s nearly tangible. Somethin’ ‘bout havin’ her in the car, even as big as it is, makes her feel closer than sittin’ next to her at a picnic table.

Rio takes shallow breaths, trying not to notice the hint of her perfume coating every inhale—something floral but not sweet, makes him think of night blooms and creamy, lush petals, makes him remember how much richer it smells right up against her skin.

He takes the next turn harder than he needs to, throwing them both around.

Elizabeth huffs and readjusts, making the leather creak. The tension radiating off her loosens his shoulders, and he relaxes back in his seat. He can see her drumming her fingers on her knee out of the corner of his eye, then smoothing her palms along her thighs like she’s trying to wipe something off. 

“Why bring me? Why not Mick or—or...any of your other guys?”

He scoffs, playin’ it up more than he needs to so she knows it’s a stupid question. “I roll in with back up, it looks like I think I need it. I roll in with you…”

He lets the sentence hang there, lazily turns his head to look at her and watch her bristle like a cat as she fills in the blanks. The funny part is of everyone he’s dealin’ with tonight she came the closest to finishin’ him off but he’s not about to tell her that. 

“‘Sides,” he continues, just to rub salt in the wound. “I need someone to take notes.”

“I’m not your secretary,” she snaps, that fake as hell yes sir, no sir mask she’s been painting on lately slipping and the tips of her claws coming out. Rio’ pulse jumps in answer.

“Yeah? You ain’t a sharpshooter either but you gave that your best go.”

That shuts her up for the rest of the ride. He’s almost disappointed. 

rio + annie brotp 

this one is just a concept as of now. the idea is rio and annie are roommates who maybe occasionally hook up when they’re bored, but mostly kind of just bump along sniping at each other and openly judging each other’s lives and choices but in a functionally dysfunctional sort of way, and their equilibrium is thrown off when annie’s older sister needs a place to stay for a while bc her life is falling apart. idk if/when I’ll ever get around to writing it because there is uh, lol, obvs some major yikes potential depending on what choices I make with different dynamics and I know rio and annie is v much not most people’s cup of tea for obvious reasons. I def want to write something with them being friends at some point though bc there’s a lot of comedic potential there that v much appeals to me.

this is a dialogue prompt I wrote an opening for and then apparently abandoned it entirely with no notes to myself so thanks past!meg! you dick!

Beth knows that Annie and Ruby thought she was trying to be funny when she said Rio had a habit of popping up like a genie, and she was, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t true. 

She’s as used to it as it’s possible to get used to being caught continually off-guard. There’s a part of her that’s constantly on high alert every time she goes out, no matter where, scanning her surroundings, convinced that she’ll see him in the strangest of places. She never does though, and if she feels anything about that at all, it’s only relief and a continual low-level annoyance that he’s got her in a state of perpetual vigilance. 

It’s easier to convince herself of that when she doesn’t take into account those three months he was gone. How she couldn’t stop herself from looking, her attention snagging on all the different pieces of him she’d see in other people out of the corner of her eye: short dark hair, a slender build, a certain way of walking more liquid than anything else. Her breath would catch, her pulse would trip, but then she’d blink and the picture would become clear. It was never him, he’d never sneak up on her again because he was—

But he’s not, he’s here, in her kitchen, in the middle of the night Beth discovers as she screams, dropping the water glass she was coming in to refill in a move eerily similar to the first time she met him but with less groceries and more potential to cut her feet to ribbons.

“What are you doing here?” She asks, pushing past him to grab the broom and dustpan from the mudroom. He grunts as he shifts to the side, trying to get out of her way but she doesn’t think anything of it. “It’s three in the morning.”

Episode 13- “lines aren't drawn yet and this game isn't over”-Lily

I VOTED THE RIGHT WAY!! FOR ONCE.  IN.  MY.  LIFE!! And it really feels so great!  I feel really bad, Landen is a GREAT player and if he was in final three no matter who he was sitting next to I am pretty sure I would have voted for him.  The fan in me is so mad at myself right now and if this series has an All Stars season I will start a petition for Landen to be cast! Right now I am hoping that I can salvage my relationship with Lily but it feels great to have numbers on my side for once!  I was never super close to ANY of these people except for maybe Kevin but I think that we all work good together and that vote was easy peasy with zero drama!

ALSO, my favorite quote of the day today was from Chips, I am still cackling- Me: Telling Chips that I'm scared I'm going to vote wrong and that I haven't made my rounds bc I'm watching real Survivor, bla bla bla.... and I congratulate him again for winning immunity. Chips: I hope I vote right this round. Chips: Glad you can't vote me again HAHAHA I love how honest and to the point he is and how he isn't afraid to call me out, I am so dead, LOL.

BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF. Just a big ole oof. wowza. Am I the biggest fool that there ever was??? YOU BETCHA. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH LANDENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN WHY!? What a crazy game this is and as per usual blessed to still be playing but I'm in my lazy boy crying about Landen getting the boot. Played with that kid since day 1! Ultimate duo. So screw what I said at tribal council, lines aren't drawn yet and this game isn't over.

Am I going to go absolutely nuts today? Yeah, probably. Ruthie is the only one online right now and I’m trying to make something happen. If I think about the dynamics going on right now it’s clear to me that autumn and chips are on the outs with Joanna, juls, Kevin, and Ruthie working together on the last vote. I can also tell that Kevin and Ruthie don’t want to vote for me so that at least gives me decent odds of making it through this vote. However they will most likely go for autumn as Ruthie has already suggested. This will most likely lead into me getting voted out around 5th if Kevin continues to win immunity challenges. I’m wondering if I can work with Kevin and Ruthie on this vote to get out Joanna I might be in a better position in the next coming cotes. That leaves a lot of big threats still in the game including the ruthie/Kevin duo. I know I can’t be too pushy with this group but I gotta try to make something happen otherwise what’s the point.

As far as tonight goes I am covering ALL my bases and both groups of Kevin, Juls and Joanna as well as Autumn, Lily and Chips think I am voting with them... LOL. This is honestly going to come back to bite me in the ass, I feel it coming!   It is nearing end game and I just NEED to vote smartly.  I feel like if I can gain Lily's trust and vote with them this round maybe I can get her to turn on Autumn and we can vote Autumn out next round.  I don't know who would be good to sit next to at the end right now, but with the position I'm in now I feel like Kevin will eventually try to get rid of me so that he could sit next to Juls and Joanna at the end and possibly win? UGH, I still don't know what I'm doing this round but I think that I am going to vote with Lily, Autumn and Chips as long as I keep a good read on them.  My only other concern is if I need to tell Kevin I'm doing this before the vote or not.  I'm just going to keep an open mind and figure it out when it gets to that.   I feel like such a villain and I don't know how I feel about that!!

hello hello its me, so i won immunity this round in a TIEBREAKER !! thank god i took my time to think about that one, funnily enough my original guess was gonna be 39 just with the math i did in my head (the actual answer was 38) but i figured i wasn't giving people enough credit so i bumped it up to 41, i was even considering 43, but im glad i didn't whew. anyways enough about the challenge but i won a memory comp so i wanted to touch on that because thats exciting. Alrighty well today has been pretty tame as far as the vote goes, it's almost 30 minutes before tribal and the chat with myself joanna juls and ruthie all agreed chips was a good vote out, i spoke to lily who said she heard autumn's name but i didn't hear that but i do think voting autumn would be smart. My only concern is i think autumn is a good person for me to use as someone i can get votes on next round if i lose immunity, she has been involved in a LOT of stuff in this game she was involved in the owen flip, the ruthie flip even though she was idoled and then even the jules flip, like she's been in everyones ear but people dont really see it, but i think lily does. And so if i can keep autumn as someone to campaign against if i lose immunity i feel like i have a shot at staying next round without immunity. HOWEVER, BREAKING NEWS, juls just told me that chips told her that he thinks it might be her going home, saying that the people who think she is close to me are saying that. Which could be true, but it could also be a tactic to try and get juls to flip or maybe misplay an idol, theres so many things that are going on. In a perfect world chips goes home, then autumn and then idk what at 5. If juls DOES go i think potentially bounce back, i think i could work with ruthie and lily as og hufflepuffs and i dont think joanna would necessarily outright target me over ruthie or lily. But it's dangerous because right now joanna is in the middle and as she proved last round she is willing to do whatever she has to and i think she lied to landen REALLY well so im nervous. I'm considering getting lily and juls and just voting autumn and if they try anything it could go 3-3-1 or potentially if we are not being lied to it goes 3-2-2 which gets out my target for next round, and breaks my trust even more with joanna, who vocalized how upset she was that i have lied to her/not voted with her. I think my best bet is to stick to the chips vote and give off the energy like im riding this group til the wheels fall off. If juls does go home, then i have to step my game up but honestly i have been in the drivers seat long enough in this game, if people want to make moves and take the heat off of me and just keep giving me blows to the perception that im potentially controlling things or at the center of the things? idek if thats the perception people have or maybe im just delusion and overhyping myself. I think i can sell my position in the owen/dan/landen votes as being less impactful than i think it really was. But autumn is smart, as is lily, they could see through me, but i think the calmness of landen not being here is helping me kinda sell the whole "see all that stuff was cause of landen!! not little ol me!!!" and if i continue to vote with the people i voted with last round i could make f5 in this game in a neat spot. But that's if people continue to trust me, which they would have reason not to but i hope that they do. This is such a calm round yet things are still so so so complex and layered. this game is genuinely something unlike anything I have played. Wish me luck im gonna need it.

Alright. So last round was a mess with Landen leaving and Lily trying to blindside Autumn. Not really conducive to an alliance sticking together when one votes out another and the other makes the attempt. To try to pull stuff back together Autumn and I pulled in Lily since she was just swindled into voting incorrectly... and picked up Ruthie since she would be in the bottom of what could be viewed as a trio going into six. Kevin can easily take Juls and Joanna to the end and win if she does not flip. And he will. So this round is either a confirmation of Kevin's win or it's an unlikely group of four voting for one of the people who would be taken to the end as a no-vote getter. I say unlikely group because Ruthie has voted me twice, I have voted her once, I have forced rocks against Lily, and Lily has voted Autumn. Yay team!

Meeting The Stars - PRABHAS  &  RANA

From the moment I got back home after watching Baahubali: The Beginning, I wished to meet the entire team behind the Epic because one, they were ideals in my mind for attempting something of such an impressive magnitude and coming out successful; and two, they seemed so fun to get to know after all their interviews together despite the heights of their fandom. It was indeed a dream team and my dream to meet them got a lot more stubborn after watching The Conclusion.

So last May, on a fine Friday morning, I came across a tweet about a contest regarding Baahubali the Lost Legends—the animated series of the franchise on Amazon Prime India twitter handle. It promised two sets of winners, the first three would get to meet the stars and the next ten would win certain Baahubali merchandise. My eyes zeroed in on the promise of those gifts cause I consider myself as a bit of a collector. I decided to give my best shot at it hoping to win at least one of them goody bags. I answered all the nine questions about the animated series. They promised to announce the winners that night and I almost forgot all about it until after dinner. When I did though, I rushed to see who won the goody bags and didn’t find my name so made peace with the thought that it just wasn’t meant for me. And not 5 minutes later, they announced the 3 winners who will go on to meet the Baahubali stars on top of getting the merchandise as well and my name was right on top of it—and I’m pretty sure I kept blinking owlishly at my mobile screen for 10 minutes straight. I legit couldn’t believe my luck and I thought it was a prank until everyone assured me it wasn’t. With what one would term a Cheshire grin, I danced around my place and kept shoving my mobile at everyone’s face (the ones who made the mistake of listening to me, that is). Friends who had me as their whatsapp contact were subsequent victims to my excitement as well. However, my mum and brother were an exception as they tried to tease me, mercilessly might I add, about my pintsize and how either Rana or Prabhas might have to lift me up so that I was in the same frame as them in the pictures—tried being the key word. It still had zero effect on my delight and I eagerly waited for the day that I would meet the team. (rest under the cut bc its super long)

Two months later, the day finally came. It was a Friday once again. On the morning of 21st July, I flew to Hyderabad with all my excitement swapped with a sense of restlessness. The moment was finally upon me and you can’t blame the jitters. I was all— What would they be like? What should I tell/ask them? How long was the meet and greet for? Should I write down the questions I had for them? And yada yada yada. Five minutes after touchdown at Hyderabad, Cheryl (from Amazon) called me to tell me that the talents were coming earlier than planned and I should be on my way to the hotel ASAP. The day before, she had informed me that I was going to meet Prabhas & Rana. So, instead of slowly wandering like originally planned, I rushed out of the airport and thankfully found the cab driver who was waiting to pick me up under ten minutes and we were on our way.

Now, I have a habit of striking up conversations with taxi drivers to fill in the silence (because of all the Ubers I’m used to back in UK). As soon as I get in the car, I start with something neutral like ‘Where are you from? How long have you been here? How much you like the place?’ and the talk just flows after that. It always leaves me with a gratified feeling when I step out of the vehicle and thank them genuinely before bidding goodbye. I couldn’t resist and asked the driver all these questions in the little Telugu I could manage and he started speaking about the city, its uniqueness and all the special places to visit. Once he knew I was an architect by profession, he went on to explain the construction history of the intercity elevated expressway we were passing over that moment. And by the time we reached the hotel, I was pretty much convinced that Hyderabad had one of the best infrastructures in the nation and forgot all about my earlier jitters from the flight. He informed me he’d come to pick me up the next day as well to take me back to the airport for my return flight and I happily waved him away before ambling inside the hotel lobby in search of Cheryl. Thankfully, she found me and after a quick check-in, whisked me away along with Sagar (one of the other two winners) to the place where we’d be meeting the stars. There we were joined by the third winner Abhishek and a tiny amount of waiting later (barely ten minutes tops), by the two men themselves.

Until then, I swear by all Gods, the gravity of the moment hadn’t sunk in to me. I was in a calm and happy daze till I heard their cheerful hellos in the next room. My excitement doubled, but my voice turned to that of a squeak (like my mum often says) as I lost my calm and all the restlessness from the flight returned back full force. Abhi and Sagar were in a similar state as me while the organizers took a minute to explain to the two stars about the contest and more, before I was ushered out to go meet them first (bakra feeling, anyone?). Introductions happened in a blink and all I could do now is picture myself slowly toddling into the other room like a lost little sheep blinded by the spotlights set up by the filming crew. However, I’m certain that my flummoxed look turned into a grateful smile when I saw Prabhas standing up first with his hand held out in greeting. Bless that man, my respect for him instantly soared sky high. “Hi,” I piped up meekly as I placed my hand in his and a tiny stutter later, “—I’m Sharme.” He was a darling though, just like his nickname and with a generous smile shook my hand as he replied, “Nice to meet you Sharme!”

My next stop on self-introduction train was Rana, who was standing right behind Prabhas. Now this guy is something else altogether okay, but in a good way. He is a sweetheart and undoubtedly a big goof ball, who can pull you out of your edginess with few simple words (unconsciously on his part I guess). I shuffled towards him with my hand held out and repeated the exact same thing I told his friend. Without missing a beat, he took my hand and warmly stated, “And hi, I’m Rana!” I blinked up as I thought, yeah right Captain Obvious! Despite the sarcasm, I couldn’t control my bubbling laughter and straightaway forgot all about my earlier concerns. What an effective way to break the ice as well as the barriers between celebrity and their admirers, right? Extra brownie points for Rana-man!

Also, I need to mention this here — I might have very well introduced myself as, “Hello, I’m tiny!” because I had my neck craned up high throughout the exchange. Wearing my flattest shoes was both a blessing and a curse. I didn’t fall flat on my face thankfully, but I felt dwarfed standing there between them both for a picture and although I had prepared myself to tell them many things, the first to slip out of my lips was, “Oh God! I’m so tiny next to you guys!” I even suggested that I climb the couch behind us but they laughed it off saying they’d rather sit down than let me do all of those stunts. Such fine gentlemen at their cheeky best, yep. It must be in my fate or something cause I always end up getting teased every time I meet a celebrity. (pout)

Couple of pictures later, we were joined by Abhi and Sagar as well, and thus more chatting/teasing ensued. All three of us were kind of stumped for words as our brains had probably short circuited and was still on its way to mend, so when Rana started speaking we were more than happy to tag along. The very first thing they asked us was how much we liked the movies and of course we had to gush about it and I said I watched it six times for which with a nifty smile, Prabhas was like “Why just 6 times?” — what would you answer that honestly, other than vowing to go back home and watch it over and over again?

Then they asked us about the animated series and how much we liked it. The reply was obvious — for the incredible backstory it was providing about the two princes of Mahishmati, a past we never got to see in the movies. And of course, how much we loved Bhallaladeva, which made Rana look all pleased. By this time, I was totally back in my element and I couldn’t stop myself from stating, “Oh but he kills his best friend in the very first episode!” The room dissolved into laughter while I was reassessing the distance between the couch and the door to make a quick getaway. But that guy is way too good, to a fault. He yet again surprised me by saying, “Well, that’s what makes him the cooler brother no?” I had to smile and nod at that cause damn, he’s too good with persuasion too. What I never expected was Prabhas’ voice on my other side answering his question: “I actually thought of playing Bhallaladeva too. Why stop with just two when I can play three no? But then I felt I should give chance for upcoming heroes like Rana… so we went ahead with it!” He can go toe for toe with Rana-man undoubtedly. But his partner in crime always has an answer, “You killing yourself twice would have looked weird though!” Again laughter rippled throughout as I mentally shook my head at these two dorks, no one is safe from them—I repeat, no one is safe around these two.

Then we spoke about Rana’s new show No 1 Yaari, and how Abhi wished it would come subtitled and he was promised that the team was working on it. It also brought on the topic of whether we knew Telugu and we spoke about our journeys: Sagar lived in Hyderabad so of course he was well aware, Abhi started watching Telugu movies after Baahubali and my interest began after watching Magadheera with my Uni friends. So in a way, it was all because of Rajamouli sir. We had to ask why he didn’t come along with them for which we were assured he was working on something important once again. Ah ha! But the focus on languages continued and I remembered how Manu mentioned she preferred the German dubbed version over watching it in Hindi with subtitles and I told them so. They seemed amazed that it got dubbed in German as well, especially Prabhas. And then Prabhas had to leave so they gave us all our goody bags individually (guess who got lucky enough to get from them both, ME.) Once more pictures were taken of the moment, Prabhas left with a shy wave and Rana went to shoot a small promo video for the Lost Legends with the team in the other room and we were left to talk amongst ourselves. It was then that I was more or less whining about not getting the poster signed by them both and a good-hearted gentleman from the Wizcraft team ensured that my Rise of Sivagami book was sent up to Prabhas’ room to get it signed from him. And when Rana stepped out of his shoot-mode, he was charming enough to sign the posters for us. While he wrote best wishes for the two guys with me, he wrote lots of love on mine and I was like, yep you have been spending too much time with Arya man (another south actor). But it was fun and I enjoyed every minute of it, especially when he handed it back with a “there you go sweet lady!” I had to make a conscious effort to not melt at his adorableness. With all the promotions done and another fabulous movie on his list, I hope that precious man gets his rest!!

His last parting words were, ❝ Do keep the franchise alive, will you? ❞  And we all swore in unison before parting with a wave. Little does he know we have most certainly pledged our lives to do just that!!

After another shoot of us three recapping the entire experience, we bid goodbyes to the team as well and made our way to our rooms. And I came back home the next morning. Now as I think about that day, it feels as if I lived some kind of dream and I wish I could relive it again. Heartfelt thanks to Amazon Prime Video and these two fine gentlemen for making it a beautiful memory!!

I notified the agent who initially did not want to accept blame, but since the payments were automatic and my account number was on each payment they took, they were responsible. The error was compounded by the fact that the cancellation notice went to HIS address (how dumb was that!) So I had no way of knowing that I was cancelled. After much haggling and many sleepless nights of wondering what to do without a job or a car, the insurance company finally admitted blame, paid the impound fees of $1,250.00. The agent also said they would handle the 2 tickets totaling 1K. FAST FORWARD TO 2010 in my state, the county did a scofflaw sweep and I was summoned to court with over 5 thousand other delinquent drivers to address unpaid tickets. The order was come to court by April 30th or be arrested. Realizing this had to be a mistake, but fearful of the law, I stood in line for over 5 hours in blazing heat, then sat in court another 5 hours waiting for my day in court. I was immediately threatened with arrest because the 2 tickets were not paid. Up to that moment, I had no idea the insurance company had not paid the 2 tickets. This time, not only was my insurance and registration cancelled, my license was suspended due to the age of the infraction (5 years). In front of the judge, I called the agents' office only to be told by the secretary that they had no intention to pay the ticket. Paying to get the car out of impound was enough. When the judge heard this she was shocked and let me off with a promise to pay in 5 days. She made me promise not to drive. With no way to get home but drive, I took a chance, and was pulled over. The officer informed me that due to the vast number of outstanding cases, tags bearing our county name would be targeted for a while (talk about a police state!). I showed him my documents from the court and headed home. This is a nightmare. Would I have a case if I filed suit against my insurance company for failing in their fiduciary responsibility to a 16 year client in good standing?
