I just came across this and I feel like I need to adress some things.

first of all, I DO NOT condone any glamorization of abuse or necrophilia and it upsets me that some people might think otherwise. I’ve created this account two weeks ago to try and connect with others who enjoy Scream just as much as I do but also as a form to inspire myself through fanfic, fanart, etc. When I’m outside or busy, I tend to mass like posts without further checking the tags or what they’re really about (which is probably not the brightest idea) so I can come back and read them later on. Apparently I’ve liked a fic that contained necrophilia. I was not aware that I had liked it but I’m glad someone brought it to my attention! It was 100% unintentional and I am not interested in reading stuff like that. I should’ve known better and double check before liking posts but I never realised it could be a bad idea because I honestly trusted my algorithm to not show me that kind of content. I didn’t even know people were writing about stuff like that. I understand the confusion but it was definitely not intentional. I apologise for any harm of confusion that may have caused.

pro shipping :

Assuming anon defines pro shipping as a person being okay with the shipping of different fictional characters whether they’re canon or not: honestly I don’t really understand the issue with this. Since when is pro shipping a bad thing? I mean the main reason this blog exists is because of a ship..? I only reblog stuff about stu x billy since that’s the only ship I care about regarding Scream (not including gale and dewey i mean they’re cute but idrc). After all those are FICTIONAL characters?? Most of the people I follow are stuilly shippers and the actors themselves openly talk about shipping their own characters? Besides, why would I care if people have other ships, as long as none if it glorifies things like pedophilia and/or abuse (and no, no matter how toxic, in my opinion and from the fanfics I’ve read so far, Stu and Billy’s relationship does not glorify abuse since all of their intimate acts are consensual).

If you consider pro shipping as shipping without limits (ignoring, condoning or glamorizing abuse, pedophila, necrophilia etc. that’s definitely NOT something I would EVER read or approve.

For the rest, I could care less about other people’s interests in fan FICTION (again, as long as they don’t contain any if the things I just mentioned). Feel free to correct me if I forgot something.

misogyny :

I made a post joking about how I don’t like Sidney in Scream 1/still hold a grudge against her. Not liking a character in a fictional movie does not make me misogynistic and I can’t believe I have to explain that. I absolutely adore Sidney’s character throughout the Scream franchise but I have no problem admitting that I did not like her in Scream 1996 for the simple fact that she killed my favourite characters (and she was just annoying). I know she had to defend herself and it’s a movie. Not liking a fictional character is never that deep and it doesn’t have anything to do with Neve.

Anyways, this is not what I expected to see when I came on here and I’m sorry if this sounds a bit defensive, i’m just tired of people acting like they know anything about others without confronting the person first but I am glad I’ve been made aware and I’ll pay attention to the content I engage with in the future! I hope this cleared things up and I’m sorry again.

I think the problem you are having with all the replies, is you're using the ship name (g h 0 u I c y, i'm censoring it as well, because tumblr search also searches anon question content) and your posts are literally showing up in the tag for shippers who are just minding their own business trying to look for content, only to be met with some really heavy accusations of condoning abuse/racism. Obviously this upsets them. If you don't want to get replies from Those People, you should be mindful that you're not using the space that they use to look at the ship.

🚫 DNI: I actually don’t care for DNI lists at all. People have their own interests and opinions and idc as long as you aren’t a dick to me personally. I like most people enough, so you’re probably fine. That being said, my content is 14+ and sometimes 16+ because of more mature content/themes but also because I just don’t want to interact with kids. 🗯️ CONTENT/FANDOMS: I tend to fluctuate between my fandoms in cycles, so be aware that I may not always post stuff all about the same content all the time!! If you’ve already been following me for a while you’ve noticed I reblog a lot of different fandoms. The primary fandoms that I cycle between are My Little Pony, FNaF/DSaF, Sonic the Hedgehog & Undertale/Deltarune (sometimes). In the background I have some constants such as SOMA, They Might be Giants and furry stuff. Namely my original story Almost Normal which was originally made collaboratively with @crepecakez. That will get its own section here. Other basic forms of content I post here will be sorted by their own tags, like my art and asks. i don’t usually tag my reblogs that way they don’t clutter this organization.

🎨 MY CHARACTERS/ART: I have a lot of extra content for my characters and art on my Deviantart and Toyhouse accounts. Each character that has a dedicated toyhouse page will almost always have a direct link on their posts (aside from asks) to make their important information easy to find for those interested. All of my characters will have tags specific to them so that any content of them can be easily found. I allow shipping of my characters as long as it doesn’t directly contradict canon. By this, I mean characters can be shipped during times if/when they weren’t already in a canon relationship. I also allow some stretching of characters’ sexualities for storytelling/headcanon purposes (like Tallis having a bicurious phase when he was younger despite being straight etc.)

As for use of my art, I’d rather you not repost it anywhere without my knowledge but I am aware that the kinds of people who repost really don’t care about what I think so that’s why I have watermarks. You can trace my art for learning purposes only but I require credit for it. I also want you to tell me if you do trace or otherwise edit my art publicly because I want to see it. 🦄 MLP STUFF: Most of you will probably be on my blog for this. If you’re interested in my mlp next gen AU, I recommend looking at the tags I use for it. ☀️AN STUFF: Almost Normal, formerly known as Heart-Stabbed, takes place on an alien planet. Most of the cast originated as foursonas/algebraliens from when Crepe and I were in the bfb fandom. Nowadays I draw them as furries but they may be drawn in really any anthropomorphic designs without directly contradicting canon. If you wanted to, you could draw them as humans, or as aliens of some kind. (which they canonically are, since they do live on another planet) They really don’t need to be furries exclusively. Go ham. Tags are self explanatory for them, since I tag them all with the Almost Normal tag as well as the aforementioned character name tags.

🔞 NSFW: I can’t really stop NSFW art from being made if any of my characters go viral or whatever but I DO NOT APPRECIATE IT!! genuinely curious, how do CN&JPN fandoms circumvent this?

disclaimer here about these being very anecdotal I just have too much experience observing/participating (in the JP side especially) also im not a fujo so idk if they run things significantly different over there LOL (like the strictness with ship name order among other things)

1) they have short concise terms to basically declare if a pair is platonic instead of stupidly long disclaimers

JP side has CPなし basically no coupling usually comes with (character names) 'A & B' instead of 'A x B'

CN has 无CP which is basically the same as above, but they also have CB (stands for combination iirc but the way i remember it is B = bros lol)

2) They sometimes have extra names that can double as a shipname or just a catch-all term for the two of them together(in any context) eg. texlapp is also called 双狼(组) in CN but using it does not inherently imply a romantic connotation...? Basically why I use LUNGWRATH and not chen/lin etc**

Even the regular ship names also have more a '(i like to see)these two together' without the omnipresent romantic attachment that comes in EN fandoms imo

3) JP fandom keeps their shipping to themselves for the most part, like for example if you post fanart of …idk, Olivia Silence Arknights you won't be getting comments from people going 'omg Saria boutta XYZ!!' because everyone is busy playing in their own sandboxes

CN is ehhhh you will see shippy comments on official bili videos and I feel like if you use a ship name it will automatically read as romantic but at least there's the term(s) that kinda sends a 'don't even try to see this as romantic' message which is very nice

**tbh i 'break' this 'rule' sometimes eg. i tag every post on chenswire dot tumblr dot com with the namesake since idrc if people see the not-meant-to-be-read-as-romantic as romantic, rarepairs don't really get to be picky xdd
