your heart did a few somersaults, wondering what he had planned. it was of course, valentines day, so really it could be anything and your mind was going wild with ideas on what he could possibly want to give you or have planned.

you looked at yourself in the mirror one last time before leaving. you had chosen to wear a simple but cute outfit and you were on your way to his house, excited but also nervous. seungcheol greets you with the warmest smile as he pulls you inside, embracing you in a loving hug.

he noticed you looking over there and smiles. "that's my surprise", he says. "i'm going to spoil you with all the books you've had an eye on", he completes. "wait...really?", you ask, unsure. "of course, any book my baby wants", he says proudly and you can't help the grin that blooms across your face.

you grab seungcheol's hands you rush across the road carefully. you enter the bookstore, pulling seungcheol along with you as you run towards the book aisles. "slow down", he says with a chuckle, happy to see you excited.

you literally grab all the books you've had an eye on for a while or books that have been on your wish list. you're walking around with a bunch of books and you end up sitting down, coming down to the final books you were going to buy. seungcheol sits down with you. "are these too many?", you ask as you look at seungcheol. "i'll buy these next time", you say, putting a few books aside but seungcheol grabs them. "it's okay, it's my treat", he assures. "but they're expensive because they're hardbacks", you tell softly. "and that's okay baby. i'll still get them for you", he adds, giving you a sincere smile.

you leave the bookstore with a happy heart and heavy arms as you carry the books, your heart content. that night you'd literally not leave seungcheol alone, showering his face with kisses and appreciation as you tell him thank you a billion times because your little bookwork heart was just so so happy. you curled up in bed with him, deciding to start one of the books immediately. if seungcheol asked what it was about, you'd happily launch into an enthusiastic explanation to him. he'd just look at you with the fondest smile, thinking about he found himself the cutest partner ever <3

like it's probably one of the prettiest skins in the entire game. insanity. it's so elegant/beautiful and her hairstyle is really cute, i like how it frames her face. in a way it kinda reminds me of her original design but updated to have more detail. the flowers are so pretty and ugjhghgljgkljg idk what else to say i just love this skin so much

that said i don't dislike any of her outfits, they're all great!

the only one that i actually think needs some help is her ood skin; it looks fine at first glance but the more you stare at it's just. hmmm. this could've marinated a bit longer

there's also the issue that this doesn't feel like an Evil Version of ashrah, which i think is a problem when the whole point of the ood skins is that they're supposed to be darker versions of the mk1 cast. but i digress

also if i may say something controversial..... i don't dislike ashrah's classic mkd/mka looks, i love them! BUT:

now that we've got a game where ashrah has distinct demonic features, i wish they did that for her older appearances. because as much as i love her deception skin and want them to remake it in mk1 (please @ nrs we need another skin for ashrah), she just looks like some lady? if that makes sense? like,,,, i would see deception ashrah in the grocery store and pay her zero mind:

i guess before mk1 the other demons also just looked like regular humans but idk... some facial markings similar to the ones sareena had would've at least been nice. they've got the kanji on her hat translating to "demon/ghost" and that's it.

and i know that's sort of the point, that she's supposed to look like a normal human upon first glance, but idk man! she wasn't done with her absolution yet, midway should've let her look a little strange 😭😭 there's some people who want her to have a normal human face if/when nrs gives us deception ashrah as a skin, but i'd rather they keep her demonic features

on the topic of mk1: i love the contrast here on her mk1 default between ashrah's clothing — clearly inspired by angels — versus her actual appearance. it's really smart and imo reflects how much she tries to distance from her origins as a demon. it really sells the idea of her being an ascending demon & i hope everyone that makes fun of her hairline + face steps on a lego

when the banished trailer first revealed ashrah some people were sad she didn't have her hat, but tbh???? i feel like her mk1 default is fine without one. it would've been nice and probably helped older fans recognize her but i'm not sure if this outfit needs a hat. yknow.

Hi sorry this took so long, very busy last couple of days but I DO see all the asks and am getting to them in the order I received them. This prompt has been in the back of my mind for a bit and I'm super excited to finally get it out, all the deets below the cut as usual.

Kazuma Kiryu

He's had his fair share of visiting and helping with hostess clubs so he doesn't judge you for it. In fact, he sympathizes a lot with your struggles. Always wishes you a good day at work.

Kiryu understands that sometimes after hour dates happen as part of your work and he is seldom jealous. If a date runs long, he'll stay up late waiting anxiously for you. Not the type to bombard you with messages because he knows you're working.

He loves all your hostess outfits, it makes him blush so hard. If you ever ask him to help pick one out, he just goes bright red and says "Ah... you look so good in both, I can't decide". Sometimes he drives you to work or picks you up after a shift.

Majima Goro

Like Kiryu, he has some experience helping out hostesses so he's very supportive of you. He's a much louder supporter though, letting out a very loud "Knock 'em dead today, hot stuff!" as you walk out the door.

Jokingly gets jealous, pouting childishly if you have an after hours date and saying "Huuuh? Why cantcha just tell 'em your cute lil' ass is already taken?". In reality, he's just proud that at the end of the day you come home to him. He feels so lucky to have you while everyone else has to pay just to look at you.

If he gets time, he might swing by while you're working, much to your embarrassment and to the amusement of the other hostesses. He won't take up your time from customers, instead he briefly drops off gifts or food before giving you a kiss. Once he leaves, the other hostesses tease you a little but really they're just jealous how much he dotes on you.

Akiyama Shun

Literally owns a hostess club so your job doesn't phase him. In fact, he probably met you via work related business. Having said that, Akiyama never actually expected to date a hostess and the idea actually makes him blush a little.

He thinks you look cute in literally anything so don't bother asking him to help you pick an outfit. Whenever you ask if something looks good, he answers with a yes so quickly that it's almost scary. When you point it out to him, he says something like "I AM being honest, you do just look good in all of them."

The most sympathetic of all of the boys given the fact he literally owns a hostess club. Due to his connections, he can totally pull strings like giving you a day off when you're super tired or getting you a discount on certain jewelry. You also really inspire him to put more effort into running his hostess club.

Saejima Taiga

He's been to hostess clubs but he's more likely to meet you when you're off duty, somewhere like a grocery store where you bump into him. Saejima is totally a meet-cute kind of guy. He will be stunned by how beautiful you are.

Honestly neutral on the whole hostess thing. Any career you choose is fine by him as long as it's what you actually want to do. The most important thing is that you're happy and healthy.

He'll joke about whooping the asses of dudes who try to get handsy but he'd never actually go so far as to physically intervene with your job. Very good at restraining any jealousy and channels that energy into making sure you're okay by giving you shoulder massages after a long day or making you coffee before work. Saejima's a nurturer at heart.

Tanimura Masayoshi

He'd be surprised that you're a hostess. Tanimura isn't the most perceptive so he honestly never really bothered guessing what job you had. He just figured you'd tell him whenever you wanted to.

Tanimura is a protective little lad and his experience with work makes him very watchful over you. Worries most about your personal safety at work and says things like "If a guy ever tries to pull some shit, just call me and I'll be there right away!"

Hypes up your outfits because he loves the way you smile when he compliments you. Texts you on his breaks to ask how your day is going. He reminds you to take enough time to eat and rest, which is ironic given that he always forgets to eat and rest.

Ryuji Goda

Supports you fully, both emotionally and financially. He will ensure that you are the best dressed at your job. Ryuji will go out of his way to keep up to date on newest trends, so if there's a new clothing or makeup line coming out that's popular, you can bet that you'll wake up one day to find it gift wrapped on your nightstand.

At some point he will offer to support you financially, as he worries that you are working too hard and he wants you to know that he can support you both regardless of your career choice. As long as it's a job you want to do, he's satisfied. It's his way of showing that he's got your back.

Some of his men might whisper behind your back that they don't understand why a man like Ryuji is with someone like you but Ryuji will stomp out those rumors immediately. He'd never judge you for your job and on his watch no one will judge you for it either.

Nishikiyama Akira

He honestly thinks it's kind of cool that he's dating a hostess. Nishiki gets a secret kick out of noticing how many people want to spend time with you only for them to find out he's the lucky man who actually gets to be by your side.

Nishiki is the kind of guy to anonymously leave gifts for you at your hostess job, and they are always very flashy: a gorgeous bouquet or a custom necklace, things that will makes the other hostesses swoon and will make you blush.

Deep down, Nishiki actually gets jealous easily but he does try to hide it. He'll ask "So, how did your after hours date go?" with a hint of sarcasm but he can be easily soothed with a hug or a kiss. Nishiki doesn't actually mean any harm, he's just scared of being discarded.

Daigo Dojima

Out of all of the boys, Daigo has the least experience with anything hostess related. He's actually a little traditional in the sense that he's inexperienced but he's by no means conservative. At the worst, he'll just be confused as to what your job actually entails. However, Daigo is a logical man and an explanation is all it'll take for him to get it.

Daigo is the type of man to be very gentle with his partner, likely in direct contrast with the harshness of his work. He might not be able to call or text during the day, but he'll watch out for you in other ways like sending a private car to pick you up after a shift, or laying out a special new outfit for you before you wake up.

He really trusts your instincts and would never question the safety or legitimacy of your job. However, if you ever do feel unsafe, call him and you'll have the full force of the Tojo Clan at your back.

Mine Yoshitaka

Plays it cool when you finds out you're a hostess but is honestly the worst with jealousy. Mine is king of jealousy city. He doesn't necessarily understand why you work as a hostess when he can totally just take care of you both but he won't go so far as to outright tell you what to do.

Will go out of his way to not actively express jealousy as he doesn't want to be a bother and he totally knows it's a him issue. Honestly, teasing him about it actually helps. Knowing you see right through him and that you aren't bothered by these types of things makes him feel more at ease and the both of you can laugh about it later.

He is going to take you shopping and you cannot argue. Otherwise he'll just bring home one of everything and tell you to try them all on. He does it to support your work but also because he loves seeing you all dolled up. Mine is also totally down to teach you more about certain types of alcohol if you're unfamiliar with the subject.

Ranking Winx Enchantix outfits

Disclaimer: Enchantix is literally the perfect transformation so keep in mind that even the ones at the bottom of the list are incredible. And of course it's only based on my taste.

6th place: Musa 🎶

I remember liking it much more when I was 6 years old honestly. I think the reason I like it so much is because I think red and yellow is a match made in heaven (and I loved her transformation sequence). I love her wings, they look EXPENSIVE and her hairstyle goes well with the look. The only reason she's last is because I think the skirt looks kinda weird and messy (it's even more appearant in 3D). I also think the shape for the top could have been better, but it's really just nitpicking she looks amazing I just had to put someone last 😂

5th: Tecna 💾

The first transformation where Tecna doesn't look like a space power ranger 🥹

The outfit is perfect, I love the overall shape of it and it was so refreshing seeing her have a pretty transformation. The colors all go well together (I love the colors in the 3D version) and the outfit is a perfect example of a feminine yet futuristic aesthetic. The wings are so cute, like, it suits her sooo much: simple but classy. The only thing I find horrid is her hairstyle, my girl deserved better (and the weird green thing in her hair is the final nail in the coffin honestly, it looks like a radioactive spider 😂).

4th: Aisha/Layla 🌊

This one was really tricky to rank for me because I'm soooo bitter the went with the green version instead of the blue one. The outfit is super cute and is pretty in both colors honestly but the green one is really just TOO green for my liking. And I much prefer the yellow gloves over the purple ones. In the green outfit there are not enough variations (not even worth mentioning the 3D version because for some reason I think the shades of colors they picked are an eyesore). But as I said, the outfit is still very pretty and her wings are freaking gorgeous, the shape, the size, the colors...they are perfect (they stand out so much more in the blue version). I love her little crown thing and her hairstyle is just so amazing. Everything just goes so well together. So if I forget about what it could have been... it still looks amazing so she deserves her spot.

3rd: Stella ☀️

I honestly didn't think much about her transformation when I was a kid, but looking back at it now, I think it does look amazing. I love the shades they picked in both the 2D and 3D version and the colors just go amazing together. The top and the skirt compliments eachothers perfectly and I love that they added a little touch of blue. And her butterfly wiiiiings, I think I don't need to say anything, they are big and dramatic, I love their shape, they look like they're made of gold and they just elevate the whole look.

2nd: Bloom 🔥

Ok, this one might be a little controversial because I'm under the impression that not a lot of people love this outfit (I could be wrong though). But I don't know, I just love her dress. I was always a sucker for ruffle dresses. I also live for the color gradation from blue to green, I just love it soooo much, it looks like crystal clear water. Also, it's worth mentioning that if I were to only take the 3D versions into consideration Bloom would EASILY rank first. BY A MILE. The colors ? The silhouette ? Hello ? It just looks so beautiful, magical,... Her transformation in 3D is just so beautiful to me. The hairstyle is amazing and refreshing since she really didn't have any in the first transformation. I do wish her wings were a little more dramatic or shaped differently, but they're still pretty. Really, the only thing I "dislike" is the ribbon on her neck which I always thought looked like pasta 😭 but I must say I kinda grew to like it 😂.

I think nobody is surprised. When I think about it, for Flora it's not really about the dress. I mean, the dress is beautiful but it's the last thing catching my eyes. But THE WINGS ? THE HAIRSTYLE ? I can't even describe it. She looks so etheral, I had to put her first. She looks like a freaking goddess. And I remember when I was a kid, Flora was the first fairy I saw in her enchantix form in promotional pictures and I was just in awe. I was like 😲...Fairies are too pretty. She really looks like she came from a fairytail book.

Now for your wish, lets say instead of you, its kanade, but when her father wasnt in a coma. Kanade wishes for her dads work to become succesful. He does become succesful, but like in main story he cannot recreate a 'succesful' song and eventually falls into a coma. Pretty much all wishes come with weird side effects, say you wish for x group to like you and their personalitys are shifted so they like you. Most magical girls end up regretting their wishes deeply in the show, and, from the deep regret and despair is one way where the witches come from. If they fall into a deep despair, they turn into witches and p much turn into mindless beasts, for the other way that witches come to be, you remember that the cat-like creature gave you a "soul gem". It told you your magical power was stored there, and that if it gets shattered, you will die. after defeating a witch, you notice two things. one, your soul gem seems... darker. its lost some of its color and shine. you also see that before dying, the witch drops a seed like "thing" on the floor. after putting the seed thing next to your soul gem, it seems your soul gem absorbs it, and recovers its shine, so you deplete some of your magical power each time you fight one of those witches. You go ask the cat-like thing, and it tells you something; your soulgem contains, quite literally, your soul. if you go more than 100 meters away from it you will faint until its returned to you, and if your magical power runs out, you'll also turn into a witch. Now, you could say "well, i can just take the wish and stay home without depleting magical power", but, now that your body is nothing but a soulless shell, it takes magical power to keep it running. if you do not go out to slay witches, you will die. This causes to be zones "owned" by magical girls, causing girls to actually die in combat with ones of their own kind rather than working along them.

Your wish gives you a special ability of some kind, as an example, if you wish from someone to recover from an illness, you'll have great healing powers.

Magical girls can ONLY die in combat or becoming a witch, so all magical girls are destined to either die in a witches hiding place and never be found , fall into despair, or get slain by another magical girl. Basically there is no hope for them.

Witches have hiding spots that are p much just sekais but creepier and not so cute or not so,, coherent i guess??? magical girls can acces through portals to there, but witches cqn kindap normal humans.

Extra info you can easily skip over: soul gems are normally in the form of accesories. A necklace, earring, etc.

Sticking with my Rui loves magical girls headcanon, he also believes that it's the coolest thing ever!

When you explain everything though, he gets very curious

He won't test your limits persay, but he'll certainly try to find out how everything works. How do you transform? How does you being soulless work? Can he make something to hold your soul gem easier?

He definitely makes drones in an attempt to help you. Even though they can't actually shoot deadly lasers, they can help you look around your territory easier

He always loves watching your transformation, and definitely takes notes for any costume/costume change ideas that he can bring to Tsukasa. He'll ask where Rui gets the ideas and he just shrugs with a grin

Nene kind of understands the concept of magical girls, so she'll look at you with awe when you tell her

She'll try to go around town and observe people, telling you about people she thinks are suspicious. More than half of the time she ends up being right, and she doesn't know how-

Your transformation impresses her a ton, but she doesn't say so, in fear of weirding you out. You just remind her of her favorite character in a fighting game...

She asks you about what you do from time to time, but expect her to leave you alone on it otherwise. It's your business, and unless you want her to be involved, she'll stay out of it

I saw a clip of Pretty Cure talking about one of the characters causally being brutal as fuck and I gotta say, it's kind of amazing. I'm still half expecting the Sailor Moon approach where the violence is more... PG? Like, someone is evaporated with pure, concentrated friendship in a haze of brilliant, prismatic light.

Wild to see a magical girl straight up kick someone into the stratosphere and curb stomp them half way to the center of the earth in a cute skirt and heels.

Kinda wish their transformations looked a little less like blatant advertisement for cheap, plastic toys but it's kinda baked into the genre so... What can you do?

Side note, my favorite transformation is the first... Season or so of this one where they have those little clamshell clackers? And that clack them together to transform in parts, totally bullshit later seasons have like, a hairdresser apron or whatever. Can't recall what anime it was, only saw clips of the transformations. But they were like, ridiculously young to be fighting anything. Gotta be middle of grade school at the oldest and certainly looked it. I can totally see young me dancing to the transformation. Very satisfying.

Anyway, tangent over in a tangent post lol, it just reminded me of a very funny explanation for the flowery, ridiculous magical girl stuff. Like, mostly based on Sailor Moon with the reincarnation and whatnot, but basically the utopia they originally came from had to be like... Fucking bored by the end of it.

I mean, an eternally peaceful kingdom with seemingly immortal folks running around?

I like the concept of a kingdom like that, that's so far beyond being challenged that their whole military might just got... Fucking weird. Like, Sailor Uniform styled outfits is totally a good idea in any fight kind of weird. Short skirts and high heels with glitter eyeshadow and unattainable hairstyles. And it's entirely created from this boredom because of how much magic it takes to make all of that. So it's a status symbol that you didn't NEED real armor to kick ass with a silly little heart wand and pink light ribbons swirling about.

None of it is practical cause its all backed by magic and the fact that it works is a damn FLEX. It's also weirdly ominous that if they ever decided to stop wasting magic on cute skirts and makeup, all that power would be freed up to vaporize you from orbit. The transformation burning off excess energy made in the process of creating their uniform.

To the point that it's fucking normal.

I wanna see magical girls in ridiculous regalia going up against your most basic looking wizard (supreme whatever whatever, strongest of all time as you'd expect) and getting trounced. Utterly body slammed. Every inch of their clothes is made of pure magic and this wizard dude can only just manage to channel forces beyond mortal minds through an ancient staff and poetic stanzas. He doesn't understand at all until he actually looks at them and realizes they've basically poured the equivalent of the big bang into their skin and all those overpowered attacks was just run off. The literal dregs of what they call upon with cute dances and catch phrases.

I like to imagine if they totally mastered it, they can transform without any pomp, just literally walking forward as it all flashes away in sparkles and energy, forming their normal suit or perhaps a stronger version. No need to bring a claymore to a knife fight normally, right? Besides, the dance is fun! Have a little bit of levity, won't you?

They've utterly mastered magic to the point that it's not even a thought or question that they're so wasteful. A product of a long gone, decadent society destroyed through their own hubris and misfortune. Looped back from masters to novices once more, just figuring out what twirly dance can defeat the creature of the week.

she obviously becomes the reality's fan favorite in .5 seconds, because she's the protagonist

meanwhile, as her dad is taking her to school in his car, there's this group of guys singing and playing instruments in the middle of the street and blocking traffic

I know like nothing about them but I love hearing about people’s interests info dump to your heart’s content my friend! Teach me all about these concerningly sweaty dirty (?) men and their pyrotechnic shenanigans I am sitting here with my favorite pen and notepad ready to take notes. <3

Okay, here we go. My darling anon, I had to HUNT in my blog archive to find this post, but here is my basic rundown of Rammstein itself as a band (<-linked). So come back here after reading that post if you really don't know anything about the band bc this def won't make any sense. In THIS post I'd love to discuss WHY I'm so obsessed R+ and all the things that I personally love about them. I will format it in bullet points to spare myself and everyone's sanity:

I feel like the most obvious point should be the first; I love their music! I grew up on industrial and synth, so introducing metal to that mix is like a heavenly mashup. The heavy guitar, the synth keyboard, the gorgeous vocals and deep (often complicated) lyrics??? I would insert the music directly into my chest cavity if I could and that sounds really fucking weird but that's where I feel like it should live 🧍🏻‍♀️

I have daddy issues point blank, that much is obvious from my blog LMAOOO so ofc latching onto gruff middle aged men is a fundamental human need for me at this point

The style and uniqueness of the band is incredible. Who else do you know that lights everything on fire while looking like they just walked off a movie set? Their outfits are so fucking awesome. Like every time I see a new fit I eat that shit up and stare at pics for hours on end because they're so intricate and cool and kinda kinky?? I WISH I could be their fashion designer like jfc. Also their makeup/ face paint is always killer. I need to kiss their stylists fr !!! The 90's-y2k looks are some of my favs

the history of the band is also very interesting. a bunch of weird dudes from East Germany end up becoming pals and form a band and rise to stardom while soldiering through the trials and tribulations such fame throws their way? love an underdog story. I highly recommend watching the documentary Rammstein in Amerika, it gives a lot of insight into the band's origins and history up through 2015

Some of the shit they pull is so freaky and weird that its camp at this point. The dick mold dildos? camp. The fact that they need licenses to use all their pyrotechnics? camp. Being arrested for public indecency? camp.

I am incredibly, overwhelmingly, unhingedly down bad for Till, Richard, and Paul (and also Schneider to an extent but not as much). I would allow for unspeakable things to be done to me if given even the slightest opportunity if you know what I'm saying

PAUL'S HAIR !!!! He is so silly goofy but I fucking LOVE Paul's stupid little haircuts. like yass go off with your little monk bowl cuts I'm eating it up I'm putting you in my pocket

everyone is so fucking queer. like. deadass. Paul and Richard regularly kissing on stage is so precious ???? they're just two besties being besties kissing n shit. The band also supports the lgbtq+ community and are outspokenly against bigotry which is always a win. A lot of people have accused them of being bigots themselves and they're like ummm haha no get fucked (cue "Links 2 3 4")

Richard is a perfect little baby angel and I would die for him. I love his spiky hair. I love his nail polish; I paint my nails like him. He is so cute. I love the way he speaks, in German and in English. I also LOVE his band Emigrate, esp the most recent album. He's so awesome 😭 that being said I wish he wouldn't smoke like a chimney because I dread hearing the news one day that he has cancer but ofc I can't do anything about that in the slightest

I mean. do I need to make a bullet point dedicated to Till being built like a fucking brick house?? because I think I do. He is soooo,,, AUAUGHHHHH !!!! Like, the guy is 60 and still looks that incredibly built ?!!!!! homeboy was an olympic swimmer he can swim in my p *gets shot*

Flake in his entirety is just so silly goofy. Like homeboy looks like just Some Dude.. he's so normal (he also looks like my step grandfather only tall and skinny, which is very strange...). But then he pulls shit like whacking Till with a keyboard or getting fake fucked on stage. Homeboy also apparently just up and ditched everyone in America and went home after 9/11 because he was so freaked, which in itself isn't funny but imagining him just fucking leaving is a little bit...

Darling little (not so little...) Doom Schneider has an incredibly gorgeous side profile. And I love the pornstache he occasionally sports. He's also another one who is just like. A Normal Guy in my head. He is also very very pretty and very well spoken. I loved listening to him talk during the Rammstein in Amerika documentary

I also think Ollie is also just a Dude,, tho admittedly I don't really even think about him much because he is so normal and not unhinged that he kinda just blends into the background most times. He is 6'7 tho so that is fucking insane

March 19th, 2024

Today I woke up with just enough time to go and grab a protein drink and a pastry before catching my bus to Maastricht. Despite the fact that I seem to be continually at the grocery store, I currently have no food besides a few dry ingredients that cannot be made into a full meal. Or what do I know, maybe plain cous cous would be ideal.

The whole vibe of waking up in a rush and chugging a chocolate protein shake on a bus feels very last semester coded and I paid the price for it. By the time I got off at my stop I was feeling very sick and unhappy. I wish I didn't get car(bus?)sick so easily.

The walk was nice though, very classic early spring day. Not quite enough to completely lose the jacket, but I left it unzipped. There's lots of flowers blooming, but my favorite are the fruit trees. There's a huge one right on my walk to the uni that has flooded the entire street with pink petals, if I could I would've stopped and sat there for awhile. I should be a little more spoiled growing up with cherry blossom season coinciding with my birthday every year in Japan, but I love fruit tree blossoms no matter where I am. I always secretly feel like they're a gift for me, a marker of better times ahead. Genuinely, I think Spring is the best time to be born.

At the uni, I found my supervisor's office empty so I decided to sit in the break room and wait to be retrieved. A part of me was nervous because my tablet seems to be stuck in British time for only some things (?) One of which includes the times it reports my notifications for calender events. I was a bit paranoid that what I had assumed that the time it was telling me was correct (1 hour earlier than the normal time) and that I had incorrectly assumed it was reporting incorrectly. I fully considered going upstairs to the eeg lab to check if they were in there, but I was pretty sure we didn't have a participant today.

In the break room I checked my email for any "hey where are yous" or "we're canceling today" but I couldn't find any. Instead, I found an email from the PhD student leading the conference in Italy this summer sending me what I needed to apply for a volunteer position. I worked on that for a little bit, and I listened as some other master's students came in and started talking to eachother. Something that makes me feel kinda sad is how I haven't really made any friends in my master's. A combination of living in Aachen, not taking the electives, and sacrificing social invitations because I was overwhelmed with my workload has led to only a handful of school aquantinces. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with the friends I've made but I just don't feel that connected with my university. That really sucks.

I did see German Sri Lankan and got to tell her I had my phone stolen in case she had tried to text. I also finally got the information about her gynecologist that I had promised to give to German American. She offered to have us go back together, which would have been perfect except for the fact that after an hour and a half of waiting I finally found the email of my supervisor canceling our meeting. I fucking hate the outlook inbox. I don't know how you can design something that does literally the opposite of everything you'd want it to do. I'm 100% a Gmail girlie. So, I sent German Sri Lankan a message on snapchat (the only messaging I can currently use) telling her I would be leaving early and got out of there.

I was now tired, hungry, uncomfortable, and annoyed. As I walked back I grabbed my pastry to eat and discovered I had made a horrible mistake. I thought I had grabbed spinach and feta, instead it was filled with some sort of bland, creamy cheese. It did not taste good at all. How does the Aldi have a better bakery selection than the Rewe?? Some things I will never understand. I also haven't mentioned that my outfit just wasn't hitting today, so I really just didn't feel cute.

When I got back to the apartment, I collapsed face first onto the sofa. I took a little half awake nap to banish the last remains of nausea from my system, and got up just in time to catch German American and authentic australian coming back in from enjoying the lovely day outside. We all had a really nice conversation that eventually turned to a discussion around cameras. That was when German American started showing me some photos she had taken with her film camera on a trip to Singapore and I made an insane discovery.

In one of her photos, I saw someone I recognized. A boy that I had gone to daycare with in Singapore, who I had last visited in 2017. Come to find out, the town where his family lives is the town where German American was born and lived in until she was 8. They were neighbors and are still close family friends. After freaking out for a bit, we called his mom and shared the discovery. The call lasted for a long, long time. She remembered my birthday and some things that even I had forgotten about, which was a pleasent suprise. Something I found interesting was that his mom brought up how unhappy I had been around my mom the last time we visited them, and how much happier I seemed now. Which, yes, but crazy that it was noticeable enough for her to say it to me. I kept trying to figure out how she felt about my mom, it was a little hard to pin down. We ended up calling my mom too and they talked for a little bit, but still, crazy coincidence.

After all of that, I finally got to go grocery shopping. For dinner I made myself a giant pot of udon which was exactly what I needed. Then came the best part of today, authentic australian asked for a haircut.

We set him up in the hallway, and I grabbed my hair clips and hair scissors to compliment the thinning sheers authentic australian had bought for the occasion. He just wanted it to be thinned, but he said he wouldn't mind the ends being trimmed as well, so we got to work. Turns out the random trims I've given myself over the years has meant I've absorbed a lot more hair cutting techniques than I've realized. Not that it's super difficult to mess up on someone who has truly an insane amount of wavy hair.

German-american worked on one side and I the other, eventually stopping when we reached the top to make sure it stayed even. I even ended up cutting him little curtain bangs which was nerve wracking to do. After all our meticulous sectioning he still wanted more volume taken off so we just kinda hacked away at the back with thinning scissors. Finally, we had removed an acceptable amount of hair. His ends had been really dry though, so I asked him if he would let me put a conditioner in it too. We kept telling him this is what he was missing by not having any sisters.

This is where the rest of the night's insanity began.

I spritzed his hair to make it damp enough, but it was still so thick that it was taking awhile. I gave german-american the spray bottle so that she could take over on the side I wasn't standing on. This quickly snowballed into authentic australian recieving an impromptu shower. As I took photos of him holding the ball of hair we had removed from his head, she kept spraying him directly in the face. He just kept saying he couldn't be mad at her because she had been so nice to him this week (waiting at the hospital with him for 5 hours, making the quiche, cutting his hair). She took that as a go ahead to absolutely drench him.

Eventually this became her chasing him and trying to catch him off guard, but it was genuinely the funniest thing I had seen all week. Peak sibling behaviour. I also absolutely helped her do it all as well. At one point she was pushing against his door and trying to spray inside while he kept trying to shut it. A moment that is burned into my brain is when he stuck his hand out in a flat, defensive palm and she responded with a single squirt to the middle of his hand. The entire time jazz (see above) was playing in the background. Incredible night.

Authentic australian did eventually take and hide the spray bottle, but I know where it is. This is not over. Now they're both a little jumpy around each other.

Honestly? Hes super happy to know that you want to marry him

Its something hes always fantasized about late at night while hes trying to sleep

But it also nags at him a little, with titan shifter blood he knows hes not gonna be here that much longer and doesn't really want to put you through losing him

Especially since you have a few years after him that you'll still be around

But he also loves you too much to stay away

After you tell him you basically have everything planned out to a T

Including the date that you were able to get you both spared from your duties

You can basically see the hearts in his eyes when they're laid on you

Actually seeing you in the outfit hes always fantasized about

It does bring him to tears

While he holds your hands and recites the vows he wrote himself

He can't help but cry a little bit

Because even if only its for a little while, he gets to live a calm life with you

He knows hes going to die soon and this is his final chance at happiness

Zeke

Zeke fr never meant to fall in love with everything going on

He reminds his s/o multiple times that his days are numbered due to the titan serum in his veins

So the first few times you'd ask he would say no

Of course if the circumstances were different he would already have a ring on your finger and probably have already given you a child

But that's clearly not the case with all his military duties

Marriage would only make it more painful for you when his body runs its course

And he cares about you far too much to do that

Convincing him isn't that hard though

Just a little bit of reasoning since neither of you really have all that much to lose

All you really have to do is remind him of those sweet sweet tax benefits

First off Porco proposed to you

He would literally never let it be the other way around

He knows he isn't getting any younger and hes been eager to marry you since you first got serious

He wants to get married ASAP so the two of you decide to elope a few weeks after your engagement

Because once again, you have nothing to lose but time

Upon hearing about it a ton of your friends Pieck wanted to be witnesses

So it basically turned into a wedding against your will with the sheer amount of people that wanted to be there

So you decided to indulge them, after all it was a fantasy of yours to wear the stereotypical white

Porco wasn't nervous at all the days leading up to the wedding

He was excited and chilled out mostly

But not even gonna lie the day of the wedding

When he first saw you

He cried

Like an actual baby

Through almost the entire ceremony

He was so overwhelmed with so many different emotions he didn't know how to handle it

Even after the ceremony while you were chatting up your friends

A tear would still occasionally slip out when he glanced your way or when the reality hit that like damn

He was a husband now

He was finally getting to kind of settle down in a way

Marriage really didn't seem attainable to him when he first inherited a titan

So being in the reality of being a married man made his heart fuller than he could ever even comprehend

Unlike the others, Colt wasn't in as big of a hurry to get married

After all, he didn't have the stress of inheriting a titan, or a certain number of years left he had to worry about

In his life the sky was the limit other than his duties from the army

So marriage wasn't something he was especially rushing

It was something that he honestly didn't even really think about that often since he was still so young

So when you brought the idea up he got super flustered and kind of dismissed it

But then it kind of hit him that he was thinking a little bit selfishly

His days may not be numbered, but that doesn't mean yours aren't

So then he brings it back up a few weeks later

Which of course is super exciting!!

You know how he feels so you don't really want to rush things so the two of you have a longer engagement as opposed to the other warriors

Its probably around six months

Planning doesn't take too long since like everyone else you decided to have a smaller wedding only really consisting of family and a few really good friends

And the two of you have more days off than the other titan shifters

So honestly it is a little bit more well planned out than everyone else’s since this one isn’t quite as time sensitive as the others

So when the day finally came around Colt was pretty nervous

Of course his lil bro Falco was with him basically every step of the way and helped him calm his nerves a little 

When he saw you at your wedding he almost broke down on the spot 

But instead his face broke into a smile so wide it made his cheeks hurt 

That smile didn’t leave his face for the entirety of your wedding and didn’t go away until he was falling asleep that night

elaina. for some reason, this reminds me a lot of jan's tulle look in s12 of drag race? it's very pleasant to look at, the brown/orange/white ensemble is a delight. (did you remember that I am bisex- *gunshots*)

5up. to this day I'm still not sure if his skin is a turnip or an onion, but nevertheless it's very adorable. the idea of stuffing a vegetable into a 90s style colorful sportswear is very funny to me, so he's way up there. also, the little axolotl is so cute? kudos to whoever made this one I am gently cradling it in my hands.

scar. frankly, it's scar and it's his first mcc, so he could literally show up in a white t-shirt and jeans but I'd still be like scar!!!! and plop him on the top. BUT he did not so I feel very justified in putting him there! the little flower (that's matching with grian's, shoutout to all the desert duo/scarian fans), that scarf, that's a dapper looking man right there.

pete. to be fair pete has an advantage because his base skin is along the same color palette as his team, so he's very easy to look at. (as you will see later on, this is extremely important for me) the waistcoat, the belt, the chain, everything fits together so well.

seapeekay. red continues to be the best dressed team. points to whoever made the skin, I adore it.

illumina. I love gradients. where's his flower crown though?

tapl. green and pink is a color combination hard to pull off, but this entire team (minus the obvious) all looked so good! the flower as a knee patch were a good touch too. the cardigan seem very soft. a man i would trust.

Hey I know this is kind of random but what do you think of all the hero costumes (or at least the four new ones)? Also if you want you also give any changes you would make to them.

Majority range from basic/boring to just... bad. Design wise, this show isn't the most creative and honestly, that's the biggest change I'd vote for. Make the suits more actual clothes, and give them padding and armor that makes sense, ESPECIALLY to the girls. Majority of these girls are literally in skintight suits and a lot of them are 14 yo. It's pretty gross.

Ladybug herself has the worst design, the LC upgrade is an improvement, but it'd be nice to see some padding or armor to her. Same goes for Scarbella. Much better visially, but still would like some sort of armor on her as ladybugs are an armored beetle. Mister Bug probably has best design in my opinion visually and in actuality. But that's not surprising as he's a male hero and they put effort in the boys' outfits.

Chat Noir's fine. Maybe could use a little more extra detail or flare but overall he's good. Catwalker I like more but I wish he had a more tuxedo cat look to him. Lady Noire could've used a little more to her design wise, and some padding as some shots she looks like she's wearing a skintight suit.

Rena Rouge kinda hurts to look at and I like her concept design more, though that also looks like a skintight suit. At least RR has a but of a coat theme going on. A very tight one with a bigger chest to go with it...

Queen Bee I actually like design wise, but I don't like the stripes in her hair. Vesperia I like the suit itself, but everything above the shoulders I just... I can't get into it. It's just kinda awkward? I couldn't tell you why.

Jade Turtle and Carapace, very solid. I dread the day we see a girl turtle hero though...

Multimouse feels unfinished and needs more to her, the base that's there I like but she feels unfinished design wise. @zoe-oneesama update to her design I really like. Polymouse at least has a jacket with a hoodie, but there's still that tight skinsuit that you can see under it...

Minotaurox I feel like they didn't quite know what to do with Ivan as a hero. Like it's not bad but it's not great.

Tigress Purple is ok, but same issue as all the other girls. Same for Bunnyx. Ryuuko is probably the worst designed female hero and I am so sorry for Kagami and dragons. What should be easily epic and awesome is bland and uncomfortable to look at.

Body wise, Aspik is good but I hate that egghead. Viperion feels over designed? Too many details? Also, why do they not like to give reptile based miraculous tails? Turtle I can get skipping out on a tail but Snake and Dragon??? No tail??????

Pegasus needs more white in his suit or something to break it up, I thought it was just a straight up black suit with no details on it. And have his skin match with Max more.

Caprikid I actually like design wise. I just wish Nathaniel would wear his miraculous like a normal person. Cause just... wut???

That is not how you wear hairclips.

Roi Singe is solid.

Rooster Bold is also pretty good, but that design just doesn't click with Marc. It felt like they had their design down more than it matching the character they're tying it to. And I will add, the miraculous itself looks like it's ready to fall off his/their thumb.

Miss Tracker and Flairmidable both have pretty lackluster and uninspired designs.

You know, I think Pigella probably has the best design as a girl hero, drawback though is that I couldn't look at her design and tell you, "Yeah! That's a pig themed hero!" Otherwise Pigella is very cute.

Okay, so I wanna go on for a bit here.

In the Dragon cry sketches, we actually saw Mashima draw a suit as Capricorn's SD which was actually perfect for his taste and clothing choice. AND his own personality. But Mashima also drew another SD, which was most probably a Draco constellation dress, not sure. And I'm most definitely sure he merged the two designs to come up with the current one.

Personally, as a dress I love the design of the current one but as a SD of a spirit like Capricorn, it is awful and doesn't make sense at all. Like I agree that the dresses are to reflect the personalities and choices of the spirits themselves. Capricorn choosing a outfit like that doesn't sit right with me.

Ofc Leo's would be a gorgeous gown, Aries' would be a cute and soft and fluffy dress, Taurus' would be a sexy one(tho I'd have loved if Lucy got a jacket with the bikini top), Saguttarius' would be a beautiful green shooter-type(I actually love how the anime added extra black leggings), Virgo's would be a maid costume, the Aquarius one being bikini makes sense, Cancer's is the most amazing with Lucy having twin blades to counter the enemies(and I'd have loved to see Cancer wield big scissors instead of the small ones). AND then the Gemini and Scorpio designs are my most fav ones (as SDs). A badass hairtyle like Scorpio and a red scorpion tail to top it off. The Gemini one actually goes with their magic type since it's actually a lot like real magic, how they copy people and transform. So the magician-ish dress is perfect!

But did you see the AxS design, I hate it even more than the AxG one. The design makes even less sense than the recent one. It looks like a nonsensical costume that seems like can do heavy lifting but actually can't. Lucy has literally no use of those robot-ish parts of the mix. It was used as a way of adding some unwanted fanservice. And with the recent mix, I have lost hope of getting proper outfits. At this point I don't want any, literally any SD to merge with Aquarius. It'll inevitably ruin the dress.

The most modest ones like Scorpio's and Gemini's unique outfits turned into a sturdy bikini and the other one a glittering bikini made me give up hope. I don't even look at outfits now, only consider her achievements. I've talked about it many times how ridiculous it seems for Lucy to suddenly loose her clothes in a battle. I'm tired of it now.

But I've seen many people say, "Lucy did nothing except get naked" or "Laxus did all the work" or "she's JUST fanservice and no might" and I do think they're the vocal Lucy haters. But in general, people complaining about the dress mix aren't them. And I share the same feelings.

Oh dear, you are so right on all this. 

Capricorn’s SD is really sad to see. I begrudgingly admit it’s kinda cool as it is, not going to lie, love the glasses and the braids and the sexy mature cut on the dress, it manages to set itself apart from Loke’s despite both being off-shoudler dresses, but it just... why, Mashima? Why? Capricorn would never approve of this! Where is the super serious butler that respected Layla? Layla (and Anna, now that I think about it) are some of the most modestly-dressed women in the show, so I definitely believe Capricorn would want Lucy to dress like them simply because he knows she’ll look good in it. 

Yes! the base star dresses all look beautiful. I do think some of them could be better or more developed to the spirits (Cancer and Sagittarius are a bit strange because they don’t match the spirit appearances at all, but eh, that’s details), but as single designs, they are all wonderful for what they are, Capricorn aside. I love Aquarius’ the most because it’s a bikini, but it’s at least more functional and comfortable than panties and a bra. It’s a really good balance between fanservice and genuinely something I’d want to wear if I had the assets to pull it off. I love that some of them gave Lucy more combat abilities as well (Cancer, for example). I do kind of wish Loke’s was a bit more functional though, since his main thing is close combat. But it makes sense for him, so it’s fine. The concept of the dresses is just so fun. I could talk about them, both positively and negatively, forever. 

Oh dear I agree. AxS is awful. There was way too much robot against the stupid swimsuit and it just looked bad. But I at least appreciated the creativity, you know? Honestly, I feel we could have found a balance with a thinner tail or shorter glove/boots, Mashima just didn’t try too hard since it only showed for a panel or two. It needs to be reworked so badly. 

AxG was just a swimsuit. Just a swimsuit. They couldn’t even retain any of the magician/clown parts of Gemini, that seriously annoys me! And Aquarius’ contribution is even worse, does Mashima know that mermaid-cut dresses exist? MERMAID? Aquarius can be something other than a typical swimsuit, geez! And they can be ASYMMETRICAL and layered, too! It’s perfect for a Gemini fusion! 

I think it’d have been great if the fusions weren’t literally mixing them together, but the product of “what would both spirits give Lucy?” Honestly, I think among the spirits, Aquarius and Scorpio are totally the type to give you crap about your fashion sense. Aquarius is a very girly girl, and Scorpio is a rockstar! Choosing what to give Lucy as a fusion star dress would be like, a funny way to actually give these two depth in their relationship. Like, their first time ever having a disagreement. 

...I wish the spirits still got personality exploration... I’m sad now...

As for your final point-- you know what? You’re right. Haters gonna hate on that regard. Love to see Lucy finishing a battle on her own, and it’s sad that even after coming this far and going as far as using the spirits’ powers, her achievements are still credited to the damn guys around her. People who think that way are never going to change their minds, they’ve already decided what they think about it.

Navratri: Day One - Shailaputri [Obey Me]

Mt. Kailash, Himalayan Mountains.

The snow capped mountain tops were beautiful, and the air was crisp and fresh.

"Your family lives here?" Satan asked, looking around for any sign of danger. It was too peaceful for comfort.

"I was born here, my friend," Esshra chuckled. "But yes, I live here..."

Two giant snakes came up and curled themselves around her ankles, eyeing the seven avatars with suspicion.

"Shesha Naaga. Vasuki Naaga. Calm down....They're friends who have come for Ma Durga's birthday. Easy now...."

Both snakes went back to Vishnu and Shiva, wrapped around their bodies.

"So, since I hadn't explained Navratri completely, I will do it now..." she smiled.

Surprisingly, literally everyone had showed up for the prayers.

Lucifer could feel his sin exuding out of this tiny goddess yet.... her pride wasn't for herself. It was for her mother.

"This marks the end of a war between Ma Durga and the evil villain, Mahishasura."

"Wooaaahhh" Levi was literally bouncing on his heels, while everyone listened attentively.

"What's the prize, babe?" Mammon's laid back, teasing tone reached everyone's ears.

"Mammon. We're not dating so please drop that name, and the prize is....a surprise," she stuck her tongue out at him.

"So. Today is the first day of Navratri, and ma's first form is called Shailaputri, meaning "Daughter of the Mountains".

She is an incarnation of Ma Parvati, and is seen sitting on a bull....Satan stop picking on Belphie....yes I know what you're trying to do......named Nandi, and she has a trishula in her right hand and a lotus in her left hand.

Shailaputri is considered to be the direct incarnation of Mahakali (as in, my biological mother's angry form but don't tell them I told you guys that)....."

Solomon and Simeon were quite intrigued by her family history, but listened attentively.

Asmodeus sighed, "What's the color scheme of the day?"

"Yellow, depicting action and vigor," she chuckled, noticing how Asmo raised an eyebrow at the mentioned color. "Asmo. Why do I get the feeling you're going to pull out something?"

Damion chuckled, finding her cute. He sat beside Shiva, "I wish I had a daughter....but fate had other plans."

"Well...technically you did have her for a short time...but yes, fate had other plans, Lord Damion," Shiva nodded.

"Lady Durga...I'd like to see her, if it's all right with you," Damion looked at Shiva, "of course, only if she's available. Otherwise I'll just wait until the celebration is over."

Durga came out, dressed in a yellow sari, and she looked beautiful. She sat next to Shiva, trishula in her right hand and a lotus in her left hand.

Parvati and Kali were behind her, smiling at her.

Deus was genuinely surprised and shocked to see how easily everyone got along.

Diavolo kept his distance yet....seeing her smile made him sweat....in a good way but....

He'd remembered when she covered her face during their short-lived marriage. And now.... he understood why she was dressed as such.

Asmo was already fussing about the color and outfits everyone will need.... Oy Vey.

"So. Asmo, pay attention please....Mum Durga is also considered to be the reincarnation of Sati. Shiva, as in my dad's first wife, who then reincarnated herself as Mum Parvati, and is known as Hemavati."

"....." they were all confused save for Damion and Deus, who had smirks on their faces.

"Well, one thing is certain. The boys are confused," Deus chuckled.

"True....looks like Diavolo is beyond confused..." Damion looked over at the young prince who was trying to make sense of the whole story.

Diavolo stood up to go ask Esshra about how reincarnation works, but the goddess was called away by a few ladies in the kitchen.

A few minutes later, he accidentally came to the kitchen, and was nearly smacked upside the head by a little granny who was muttering something about modern men "trying to cook despite the fact that they tend to set the frying pan on fire."

"Diavolo. Did you need something?" It was Lakshmi, Esshra's aunt.

"Yeah....I was trying to find Esshra...."

"She's not here," Vasundhara sighed. "Just so you know, she's busy with the celebration at the moment. Besides.... you're too late if you think you can just waltz right back into her life, you're dead wrong."

Diavolo nodded, "Understandable. But can anyone explain to me how this reincarnation works?"

Meanwhile, Kartik showed up, shirt undone as he'd just taken a cold shower.

Levi was wandering around the interiors when he accidentally ran face first into a solid, hard, muscular chest.

Yelping, he jumped back, apologizing profusely while blushing several thousands shades of red.

"Grand Admiral Leviathan. Stop this...whatever you're doing...." the Commander of Gods raised an eyebrow, fixing the towel around his hips.

Levi collapsed, unable to face his military idol.

Esshra poked Satan’s forehead, seeing as he was trying to cuddle Durga's tiger.... who decided Satan was food and literally tried to eat his face off....

"Hey.....Pfft-" she burst out laughing, "I'd better send this to Levi...."

Shiva raised an eyebrow, "First time I've heard her laugh...."

"Well, she's adjusted quite well with those seven, and she's literally always like this with them," Damion chuckled..

"Ah yes....my former six chaotic kids..." Deus sighed, "At least they're making her happy."

Parvati smiled, bringing out some refreshments. "That's a good thing, isn't it?"

Kali sighed, calling the tiger away. Leaving the blonde covered in drool.

Meanwhile, Kartik poked Levi's rib cage. "Oi. Grand Admiral Leviathan....you alive?"

Poor weeb had a nose bleed, as his soul left his body.

"....This one is weird..." the older male sighed, easily throwing Levi over his shoulder like s sack of potatoes.

Levi's phone went off several times...and he missed his chance to see Satan's face being almost eaten off....

Vasundhara was glaring at Diavolo the whole time Lakshmi was explaining the history of Durga.

As soon as the explanation was done, Vasundhara rolled her eyes, "He's her ex...I'm surprised she invited him to mum's birthday..."

Lakshmi smiled, "Well, dear, you should know by now she does things through here," she tapped her forehead. "After all, she is the goddess of logical thinking....apart from others..."

"Point taken," the younger woman shrugged. "Thought she hated you, Dia?"

"I....don't know if she does..." he sighed. "But I had my reasons for doing what I did...I mean...she was technically still a child..."

"Ever heard of something called communication, young prince?" She raised an eyebrow, "She's not stupid. Besides...your chaotic seven friends seem to take better care of her....as always..."

Evening of Day One:

Everyone was dressed in shades of yellow, outfits literally hand picked and designed by Asmo.

"....Where's Esshra?" Shiva sighed, "She's probably run off to that place again, as usual..."

Lucifer raised an eyebrow but said nothing. Mammon though, was another thing.

"Where'd she go? What place do you mean? I swear if anything happens to her....iyfkgolydiktfo" and a jalebi was shoved into his mouth courtesy of Belphie.

"Too noisy, Mammon. Too noisy."

Beelzebub was on his umpteenth glass of lassi, loving how the milky drink tasted.

Esshra was in her room, staring at the skies as dusk turned to night, hues of red and orange now turning to a beautiful midnight purple shade.

She'd often wondered what her family was put through after her divorce, despite the fact it wasn't even a messy one.

Parvati quietly came up and stood behind her, "Hey now. We're doing well...." she hugged the young woman, who was almost in tears. "You know...I'm glad you have friends who take care of you...."

"Those seven....plus Barbatos....they've always taken care of me, mum. They're good guys...."

"Hm? Is that..... 8 potential partners I see for you?" She teased.

"Nah. Just good friends....I don't think all this romantic crap is meant for me...." she sighed.

"Oh come on love. The kid with purple hair likes Kartik."

"Took you a while to figure out that," Esshra chuckled. "Levi has had the biggest crush on him for eternity!!"

She could tell they were concerned about her safety yet.....the silverette seemed to be the most protective of her.

He was literally acting like her shadow, always either behind her or next to her.

My main man Michael Knight for character bingo!!!!

AYYY- This one's interesting really, especially because Season 2 Michael is basically,, an entirely different entity? As in, he's reached the end of his character arc and is actually a really, really nice dood. So I had to use two types of bingos, and I'll explain it further below. Here's the original post BTW.

If you can't read the image, don't worry, I'll say all the marked squares below. If you can, let me know if there is anything I can do to make it more legible next time--I mean, obviously, the squares are covered up, but I mostly mean with the colors. I almost used red and green, and then I remembered that, oh yeah, that really sucks for colorblindness. Now the saturation is still about the same, but anything much lighter or darker is less legible??? So yeah, any recommendations on that welcome.

Let's start with the reds, or Definite opinions.

They are soooo cool looking!

I dressed up as Michael Knight for Halloween a few years back, even though I wasn't fully sold on him as a character yet at that point. I was still healing from Season 1 (half kidding) ... but I did it because he is such a Vibe. Seriously, I felt so alive it wasn't even funny AISHDOAS- my final form /j

Michael is, aesthetically at least, literally everything I want to be (other than. y'know. male,,,). Immaculate. MUAH! He really does feel like a California Cowboy of sorts... and leather jackets are a gift to mankind by the way. I especially love how, in his classic leather jacket + red polo outfit at least, he coordinates with Kitt. So cute haodh

Wasted potential

I've been having a bit of a moral dilemma recently when it comes to the way I engage in this fandom, so I want to disclose fully here that, in real life, I don't think a robot can be on the same level of sentience as a human. Perhaps, as tech evolves, there will be AIs that are really, REALLY good at replicating it... but that won't be real. We're just people after all. We can develop really cool technology, and that's all great, but we shouldn't be trying to play God and think we can make actual life. We can't.

That said, within the confines of Knight Rider's fictional universe, Kitt is fully alive. Michael is the only character who has so much as a shot of really getting that. Devon understands theoretically what Kitt is meant to be, and Bonnie even understands mechanically, but Michael sees his personality. And it's strange, really, how the show sometimes treats this as important but sometimes Not. I really love how, in Trust Doesn't Rust, Michael is far more hesitant to go after Karr than anyone else, asking if it really is necessary. I truly wish they'd have taken that further in TDR, and involved it at ALL in Kitt vs. Karr. Season 2 is my favorite because it embraces this (more later), but even then, we didn't get to see the stage in between that brought him there. He went from a caring skeptic in S1 to full-on sap in S2. Honestly, I really believe there's a lesson there about not taking those around you for granted, that just because you don't understand someone doesn't mean they're any less worthy of love, that just because you know you care doesn't mean that they do. I never expected Knight Rider to become an arc-motivated show, but I did at least hope that the subtle throughline would stay more consistent.

They're deeper than they seem

Basically just above 2.0. He has an internal struggle I think, between wanting to trust his new family and having been burned by his old one (the police force I mean, especially Tanya). It takes him a good while to FULLY trust and understand Kitt--yes, the pilot is a big step in that direction and probably what the show writers meant to be the end of it, but I can't help but sense more. Is his best friend even REAL, y'know? Also probably PTSD. And ,,, EVERYTHING about Stevie, it almost feels like an entirely different mini-show in those episodes? Possibly even some imposter syndrome about how this new life isn't even HIS life, he's walking in the shoes of somebody else? I dunno, but there's a lot here.

Also, while I don't know if I'm down fully with the "Michael is ace" headcanon, because he's definitely willingly Done the Deed plenty as implied by certain episodes of the show (man I hate that sentence I'm sorry), I do love the idea that he's really not fulfilled by these relationships in the slightest. That behind the "not thoughts, head empty" smile he just wants something real, but has been dragged into a fake life and a surface-level existence. Feels bad man

They work better as part of a dynamic

Michael and Kitt, mostly. If Michael were by himself, Knight Rider would feel like just another Magnum PI, Hardcastle and McCormick, etc. Not that these shows are bad, Magnum PI has probably aged better than KR after all, but none of them captured my attention quite as much. Kitt,,, MIGHT be able to carry a show by himself entirely, if he were human? Idk, that personality is just so good and unique, but even he benefits from a foil. Michael, though, is probably the best iteration of a very common 80s MC personality, and having Kitt there is what makes it go from a pretty good romp to a wonderful classic.

Also Michael and Karr are my favorite duo to think about, it would be so good. Especially if Kitt is there trying to babysit his two himbo besties. Michael's got no braincells, and Karr has 'em but chooses not to use them.

Onto the blues, or the kinda/conditional opinions.

If they were real, I would marry them.

Depends on the season 100%. Season 1 Michael is likeable enough but just SO frustrating at times, and Season 3 has proven to be frequently outright insufferable. Season 2, though? That man's marriage material probably, and even just aesthetically. Maybe not MARRY marry, I don't really have a crush on him??? Anymore I tend to immediately convert my potential fictional crushes into blorbos, so there's that. But lifelong besties at least.

They're like a blorbo to me

HMM- Honestly? Dunno if this one's true. Then why did I mark it? Because... KINDA???

He's been at the forefront of my mind a lot more recently, admittedly because I already worked out Kitt + Karr's arcs (the TRUE blorbos) and am now trying to figure out what to do with him, but still. And even at times when I hate Michael's guts and wanna bap him in the forehead, I still don't hate him. Like "holy macaroni that was horrific like I actually hate you" "so you don't like him?" "*grinning* nah he's cute". Like, Hoff's characterization of him is too charming ashfo idc if he's an ahole he's MY ahole

So,,, probably more of my Little Skringlo than a Blorbo, but close enough.

Nothing I like about them is technically canon

See,,, Everything above about his character arc. See, I think his arc is SUPPOSED to be canon? But it isn't TEEECHNICALLY canon anymore thanks to Seasons 3 and 4 existing, which means S2 Michael got reverted to S1 Michael and then it was a whole mess. If it had ended in S2, I would have been convinced that it was the intended arc. But now, I don't actually know.

Why do they look like that
