Guys I’m so sorry for my inactivity, I know that I have a few requests and I’m working on those but I’ve just been super tired lately 😭

As a little apology I’d like to present you my general head cannons for the bayverse bots (AOE and TLK)

Bumblebee:

•Super sweet like I mean this mech would travel galaxies for you. He takes I love you to the moon and back to a whole other level.

•Once he accidentally saw you changing and he literally covered his eyes and ran away while making embarrassed little wiring sounds

•He LOVES taking you out on drives. It’s his favourite way to spend time with you. Drive through the countryside? YES! Drive through the mountains? ALSO YES! He just loves driving around with you.

•He seems like the kinda mech to play some corny ass love song if you’re upset. You could balling your eyes out and he’ll just start playing a song and you just look at him like “Are you actually serious right now?” But it’s okay cus he loves you so much and you love him.

•This one’s just for fun

One time Crosshairs mentioned something about having more “fleshies” around here and Bumblebee through a very large piece of scrap metal at him. Crosshairs literally tumbled down to the ground.

Crosshairs:

•He’s such an asshole like it’s really infuriating. Not asshole in like a mean way but if you do something remotely embarrassing he’s gonna remind you about for months. If you have allergies (like me😕) he’s probably gonna laugh his ass off as you repeatedly sneeze and say something along the lines of “this isn’t funny…” and the fact that your voice is all is all messed up just makes him laugh harder.

•He can actually be really romantic. I know he can’t take you out for a candle lit dinner but he’ll take you to beautiful places in nature and you two will just sit there and talk. He loves to take you stargazing, it’s just so peaceful. Half the time he isn’t even looking at the stars though, he’s just looking down at you with a smile.

•He’ll pick a fight with anyone, like I mean anyone. He even gets into fights with Drift (and normally looses). His favourite person to pick a fight with is Bumblebee though, he just loves to terrorize that poor yellow mech. You have apologized to Bumblebee on multiple occasions for Crosshairs actions.

•He’s actually super lovey dovey but won’t admit it. He’s constantly complimenting you and asking if you wanna spend time with him, he’s always carrying you around and holding you as if your going to disappear if he doesn’t cling to you for dear life

•This one’s just for fun

He stole one of Hounds grenades once and was like “Hey watch this!” and when you told him that it wouldn’t be a good idea to throw a literal explosive at a bunch of old cars he was just like “Nah I got this.” Well he blew up a large quarter of the junkyard that day and Cade was very pissed.

Drift (MY MAN😘😻):

•Drift is everything you could possibly want in a man. He’s so nice, caring, charming, nonjudgmental, handsome, intelligent, considerate, loyal and excellent at listening. However he does have a bit of a temper problem and can be quite stubborn.

•Drift hates seeing you upset, he will never forgive himself if he makes you cry. He’d do anything to make you feel better. If you’re upset he’s there to listen and give you advice.

•He loves taking walks with you, it’s his favourite thing to do and if you don’t wanna walk he’ll gladly carry you on his shoulder. If you wanna meditate or be with him while he’s meditating you better get ready for your wedding day because you basically just asked him to marry you.

•He adores you with all his spark, he thinks that he doesn’t deserve such a beautiful being like you. Get ready to constantly get showered by compliments and poems about how much he loves you. If you ever for once say something about how your insecure Drift will fix that in seconds! He’ll kiss you softly while murmuring praises to you until you have to say that you’re 100 percent fine now.

•For fun:

The mini dino bots were annoying him once and he tried to slice them in half. He almost succeeded until you walked by and all 3 of the little creatures hid behind you. Drift just kinda stared at you with a guilty expression, his sword still high in the air ready to strike. He sighed put his sword back as you scolded him for trying to kill the poor things.

Hound:

He’s not very romantic sorry guys😭

But he tries…sort of. He just doesn’t see the need in taking you out somewhere for a date night. If it bothered you and you told him about then he would actually put in some effort. He wants you to be happy so he’ll put aside his feelings on sappy romance and start taking you out on long drives through the countryside.

He’s really funny so if you ever feel sad just talk to him. He’s also good at giving advice, like surprisingly good at it. He’ll just give you a really good piece of advice and then act like he didn’t even say anything at all.

Sometimes he just drops random lore whenever you tell him story. Once you’re done talking he’ll just say something like “oh yeah that reminds me of the time I once killed 3 decepticons with my bare hands.” And you’ll just stare at him dumbfounded.

For fun:

One time Drift was pissing him off with his haikus and stuff so Hound grabbed his sword and just chucked it as far as he could. Drift just stood there, watching as his sword flew to the other side of the junkyard.

Once they heard the sword crash down into a pile of scrap metal Drift just gave him a nasty look and sighed before walking away to go get it back.

Bonus points because the sword almost Crosshairs.

Optimus:

He’s romantic but not in a cheesy way, more of in a “Let me buy you a very expensive bottle of wine so that we can take it back to your place and drink it over a candle lit dinner.” kinda way. Definitely a gentleman through and through.

He cares about you so much that it’s almost a little too much. He wants to know that you���re safe and sound, that you can sleep peacefully every night without a worry in the world.

He loves listening to you. He loves your voice so much. He’ll put you on his shoulder and let you ramble for hours. No matter what you wanna talk about he just wants to listen and be there for you.

For fun:

One time Bumblebee convinced you to go on a drive with him but he ended up speeding and running away from the cops. You called Cade and told me what happened and of course he snitched to Optimus. When the two of you got back Optimus was not very happy with you guys. Bumblebee got scolded for a good 20 minutes and you just ran away before Optimus could even bring up the situation.

Hot Rod:

Hot Rod is such a cutie, he’s so kind, loving, caring and romantic! He’s the definition of a true gentleman. “Hey Hot Rod can we go on a dri-“ you don’t even have to finish your sentence because he’s already in his alt mode.

He always talks about how much he hates his French accent but you love it. It’s charming, cute and it just sounds so good to you. He knows you love it and he uses that to his advantage. Whenever he wants something he’ll start calling you by amour and chérie.

He’s SO romantic, he could possibly be even more lovey and sappy than Bumblebee. Since he lives in a big ass castle where he can roam freely it gives him a larger variety of things you guys can do.

For fun:

You were in your room once and he came to see you, he tapped on the window and it just completely shattered. You jumped up from your bed and looked over at him and he stared at you awkwardly. For a while you just gave him a disapproving stare until he apologized and said he’ll find a way to fix it.

By the way guys I’m so sorry for not being active for a few weeks, but I promise I’ll get back to writing very soon!

RW Headcanon: Know the Difference! | An Overview of Quetzalli's Slugcats

Here’s a headcanon I’ve wanted to elaborate on for a while, and today I finally felt compelled to make it real! Also, just a disclaimer I am not a huge biology nerd nor have I studied it that heavily, so I apologize if something here doesn’t make sense or if I get something wrong. I just like fantasy worldbuilding from time to time, and I always like trying to make sense of things I’m interested in!

Basically, I’m in the crowd that interprets slugcats as mustelids rather than literal slugs. When I say this, however I don’t mean that slugcats would necessarily be classified in the actual mustelidae family, seeing as Rain World’s world is most-likely not Earth and therefore our taxonomic classifications and phylogenetic relations can’t necessarily apply. Thus, when I call them “mustelids”, I really just mean that I imagine them as some kind of weasel with all the necessary physical traits to earn that general label. 

The first half of the name “slugcat”, in my headcanon, is thus not referring to any literal connection to slugs or other mollusks, but is instead derived simply from their appearance. Due to their long ears and thick tail, and because their fur and fat often squishes together in such a way that it makes their features blend together and their bodies appear more smooth (it’s the same physics as that whole “cats are liquid” idea), the general silhouette of a slugcat can easily be likened to that of a literal slug. The second half of their name is also not literal, and instead refers to their jumping and acrobatic abilities and their skill in hunting and pouncing on small prey, which is very similar to that of small cats.

Species Overview

Now to give a little more detail on slugcats themselves as a species! I headcanon them as small to medium-sized mammals most similar to Earth weasels in both their biology and their ecological niche, who originally served as cute low-maintenance pets for the Ancients and as hunters of small pests in facilities on the ground. They’re clever by nature and good at fitting through tight spaces, and later on they evolved greater jumping abilities to pounce on prey. They’re also very social creatures, who’ve taken to forming medium to large colonies primarily in and around the massive trees that thrive between the cracks in iterators’ rainstorm areas (like the one Gourmand, Survivor, and Monk’s colony lives in). Due to this social nature they also generally travel in groups of at least two, both for company and protection against tougher animals. Travel partners are usually siblings or good friends, and sometimes even whole families will journey out together to find food and other resources for the rest of the colony.

Despite being a small prey animal, slugcats have managed to get by not only due to their intelligence — the evolution of which would be seen as a rather unexpected twist of events if you asked their creators, for the Ancients found them cute but rather simple — but because of their impressive adaptability. It’s similar to that of real life red foxes and pigeons, and it allows them to survive decently well even in less ideal environments; a trait especially necessary for a world as industrialized as this one, even if its people are gone and most of the machinery is inactive. As such not all colonies live in trees; some find homes in the abandoned facilities, large underground hollows, and a few bold colonies have even claimed territories high up in iterator cities alongside scavengers. Slugcats are opportunists and masters at making the best of their surroundings, yet even beyond that they carry a certain other, “special” ability of their own that makes them as diverse as they are clever. But that’s a headcanon for another day…

Reasoning

Now for some out-of-universe explanation for this classification choice. I’ve always seen slugcats as some kind of small scurrying mammal (kind of a bias on my part, I just like mammals honestly, and they’re most familiar to me), mainly due to the way they look and move when on all fours, and their place in the game’s food chain. Originally though I saw them as rodents and compared them to mice and rats, which I still sometimes use for anatomy reference for these creatures. But one day a friend of mine saw me drawing slugcats and thought they were weird ferrets, and the more I thought about it and the more I developed personal speculative biology headcanons for slugcats, the more that label seemed the most fitting for them. It was also solidified when I did a bit more research and realized the main characteristic of rodents is their buck teeth, which just didn’t seem to fit with how I perceived slugcats. Not to mention rodents aren’t really predator animals, and slugcats’ implied natural diet and the gameplay itself does strongly imply if not confirm they have some instinctive hunting ability. 

Thus, it seemed “weasel” was the best classification for these creatures, and I quite like it so far! Once again it satisfies my mammal preference, but I also just think it’s a fun idea that neither part of the “slugcat” name is literal, similar to a lot of real-life creatures named after completely different animals, including fellow weasel, the polecat. Plus, I realized recently it’s kind of ironic with how I perceive the messenger slugcats, Hunter and Spearmaster, as being like hunting or guard dogs for their creators, when weasels are exactly the kind of animal humans with their dogs would normally hunt for! It’s cute, it’s familiar, it’s fun, yet I think it still has just as much potential for some interesting speculative biology ideas as the literal slug slugcat interpretations!

I'm so glad to finally get this out! I like seeing specbio slugcat headcanons in the RW fandom, yet I haven't seen many more in-depth takes from artists who don't take the "slugcats are literal slugs/mollusks/primarily mollusk-based" angle. Not that that's a bad headcanon of course; do what you think feels right! But once again I personally prefer slugcats being mammals, and I always look for fan-content that's as close to my personal preferences as possible. And when I can't find enough of it, I make it myself!

So hopefully this serves as a bit more of that kind of representation for the mustelid slugcat interpretation. It at least helped me develop my own idea of the species a bit more; much of that stuff in the overview part was ideas I came up with while typing this whole headcanon out!

As always, I hope you enjoy this headcanon of mine! I've still got so many ideas to develop and share, and even more coming as I continue to ponder these characters and their stories, so as long as you guys still like these Rain World headcanons of mine, they'll keep coming!

Hi, I just wanted to apologize for my lack of inactivity as well as the asks and requests I still have yet to respond to, and also the ship-poll I abandoned. I feel like I hyped many of you up just to disappoint.

I really want to say I’ll be back to it, but that’s not the case at all. I’m writing this to let you guys know I won’t be as active as I was. I have much more stuff keeping me busy- less free-time. I also haven’t been drawing as much in general. I don’t plan on abandoning this blog, just won’t be able to keep up with it as often.

The ship-poll will come around again, I won’t be doing it consistently though. Just whenever I know I’ll be able to do it!

Oberyn Martell fic

A/N: hihihi my lord I have been inactive on this account. My apologies, but I’ve been lacking motivation and ideas… well, until now. So, hope you enjoy :) also, let me know if you would like a part two as the ending is a little suggestive ;}

The party was dull.

You never thought, after accepting an invite to the Head of House Martells party in the Kingdom of Dorne, that you’d be stuck listening to some old crone ramble on about his riches. You feel your eyes begin to droop, yet they snap right open after they make contact with the reason you came to this party in the first place. Standing across the room, gorgeous face lit with expression as he recalls some amusing anecdote to the guests crowed around him, looking as divine as the rumours warned you.

Prince Oberyn Martell.

The Red Viper.

The handsomest man in all of the Seven Kingdoms.

He does a double take as your eyes meet again, and smiles wide, unintentionally showing off his perfect royal teeth. Then he winks, sending a flock of butterflies flying to your stomach. You feel yourself blush ferociously as you smile back, shyly, at the prince.

You declare some stupid excuse to the old man you’re talking to, muttering that you are too warm and need a minute outside. You leave the room and enter a beautiful garden, find a bench and sit down. Exhaling deeply, you need a minute to collect your thoughts. The pretty prince had muddled them up, making you think only about him, his gorgeous face lit up, his dark brown eyes that you could get lost in, and you find yourself imagining what his beautifully toned body would look like under that golden robe that makes him look like a god.

Good lord.

You realise how down bad you are for a man you’ve never even met, only heard about in stories from people glowing with admiration.

“Well, whatever are you doing out here? Sitting in the garden like a little flower while everyone else is at the party?”

You jump, swivel your head to come face to face with the owner of this smooth, attractive, playful, slightly accented voice.

As soon as you make eye contact you leap off the bench in a hurry.

Oberyn Martell. The Prince of Dorne. The Red Viper. Had just caught you sitting by yourself outside a royal party.

This is not the first impression you wanted to make.

“I’m so sorry, your highness. I was just- uhm- I was only- no offence to your brothers party- I just needed some- erm- air.” You stumble pathetically with your words, praying that you aren’t offending the prince with your unwillingness to be present at the royal celebration, your eye contact with him faltering.

He chuckled, smiling at your attempts, and the sound invited back that pesky flock of butterflies back to your stomach.

“Oh my, little flower, are you shy? Is that why you are out here?” He asks, tone not mocking, but playful, like you’re sharing an inside joke as old friends.

“You’re certainly a pretty little flower aren’t you.” The prince moved forward, face now suddenly more serious, inquiring, seeming interested in taking all of you in as his eyes trail from your head to your toes.

Your face glows red at his words, the blush that so easily overtakes you when an attractive person looks in your general direction, made ten times worse as the most attractive man you have ever seen compliments you. “Thank you, sir.” You say. “I must say, you are even more handsome then the rumours let on”

“Rumours?” He asks, eyebrow cocked. “And tell me, what do these rumours say?”

“Only that you are the most handsome man in all of Dorne.” You shrug, gaining confidence as you converse. Oberyn Martell has turned out to be a very easy person to talk to. “However, I believe these rumours are wrong. You have proven to be the most gorgeous person in all of the Seven Kingdoms.”

His eyes widened in surprise and he smirked at your flirting. “Is that so?” He began to move closer, closing the distance between you, the butterflies moving at max speed in your tummy as he placed a hand on your waist. “Well, it appears that the rumours are wrong.” He leans in, lips to your ear as he whispers. “You, little flower, are the most gorgeous person I have ever seen.”

You gasp at his bold statement, giggling slightly in disbelief. He notices your doubt, cupping your face in his hand. “Seriously, it as if the god’s sculptured you in a way that would make you perfect to me…” He breaks off, lost in a thought. “Tell me, how long are you intending on staying at this party?”

“Well, before you came out here, I was planning on requesting a carriage to take me to my lodgings, but now I believe I will be staying a little longer.” You declare, as your eyes involuntarily flit down to his lips.

He notices you staring, smiles, and moves closer, your lips nearly touching, and it takes all your free will to not close the gap. His hands move up your body as he asks:

“Pretty little flower, would you perhaps~ stay the night?”

i currently write for cod mw and splatoon!! however, as i have not completed the call of duty games, i may lack some of the knowledge in lore or character. apologies if my depections seem off.

for splatoon, im generally ok writing for all ships (apart from underage/incest). however, i don't really want to write any splatoon/reader with romantic content- it feels a bit weird to me. this is reversed when writing for call of duty; i have a large bias in writing for cod/reader, and i dont plan to write for any ships in the fandom- however, i will pick them up on the occasion.

fem , masc and gn readers r ok !! i also write for trans characters and those with lgbtq identities. i aim to try keep the gender, race and appearance of the reader neutral in my works.

I saw a tiktok about Lucien giving Elain those enchanted gloves and how the reason for her not using them is so obviously because she’s not accepting of her new life as a Fae. That because she refuses to use the enchanted gloves, she’s still grasping onto her mortal life. That she can’t let go.

While I understand what they were getting at, I don’t think that’s it. At all.

See- Elain, to me, is the one who said “it is what it is” and began her healing journey by accepting the way things are and moving on from it. That while that open wound is still there, it is mending. What better can she do other than to allow it to heal?

Elain was the one to come forward and apologize to Feyre for her past inactions.

Elain was the one to opt in and declare that she will find the cauldron without a second thought.

Elain was the one who declared that she is in fact a part of the Night Court. That it is her home.

Elain was the one who actively helped the people of Velaris after the attack.

And most importantly, Elain was the one to claim that she wants to build a garden at the house after everything. That the world needs more of them.

And so she did.

Her act of building a garden at that house was a testament to her acceptance. A testament to her willingness to start and finally begin loving her new life and the people in it. She has firmly planted her feet into the ground of the Night Court. That is where she’ll stay.

OP went on to say that Feyre is a hypocrite/unreliable because when she told Lucien about Elain and her enjoyment of gardening, she’d put on a hat and gloves to work in the mortal realm. Yet here she is now, refusing to use the enchanted ones.

That since the OP has also been gardening before, you need gloves and a hat for protection, that any gardener would use those tools. While that may be true, nowhere did the books say that Elain doesn’t use gloves or a hat in general as a Fae. I mean there are people who don’t use gloves or a hat to do that type of work. And people who do, thorns can get through those gloves still.

We can guess as much with Elain when Feyre was picking thorns from her hands.

My point is this:

Just because of the fact that Elain refuses to use magical gloves doesn’t mean that she’s clinging onto her past life and refusing to move on. Just because of that fact doesn’t mean that she refuses to look forward and give Lucien a chance.

Gods forbid the girl merely prefers to keep some human aspect of her craft to herself for fun. Like Feyre said, perhaps Elain enjoys the dirty work. The hard work. And the beauty out of it.

I’ve said it before. Elain enjoys the challenge or merely has a preference for that originality. It’s obvious.

Why else would SJM spend precious page space to elude to that conclusion?

Feyre isn’t souly unreliable. Theres a reason as to why words are said in the books. Especially for SJM, they have meaning.

i honestly don’t even know where to begin with this post, so i guess i’ll start with hi! sorry, i’ve been gone so long, though probably most of you didn’t even notice i was gone lol. sorry for not giving any warning to my absence, and i am especially sorry to the mutuals who have reached out to me that i haven’t responded to. i was and still am struggling with anxiety and depression and towards the new year it was getting to be a bit much for me, so i decided to take a mental health break from social media.

i’d honestly been contemplating coming back, but today i received a dm from someone with a link to a post that was accusing me of bullying and creating fake accounts to bully other people in this fandom. first of all, i would like to emphasize that this is not true. attached below is a screenshot of all the blogs that i own (EDIT 2/9/24: i have since deleted the screenshot for my own privacy and i believe that since i made this post, there has been more than enough evidence to clear my name.) milfsociety is my main account, which i have linked before on this blog and many of my mutuals also follow me on my main, and the rest of them are just me saving my old usernames or other sideblogs that i rarely use, but all of them have been inactive for two months at least.

i do NOT condone bullying ever, and to be continually accused of it by this person is very disheartening. it started with this post (seen below) that i made back in november after seeing a post discrediting marie as the main character of gen v. i admit that my language was probably a bit harsher than was necessary, but honestly my intention was not to send hate to op (which is why i never tagged it with any gen v related tags) but to defend marie. it also wasn’t meant to be solely specific to this one person but as a general post because at the time, there were lots of accounts discrediting marie and to be honest, i was just kinda venting bc of how sick of it i was. i honestly hadn’t given this post a second thought until a little under a month later i received this ask out of nowhere, accusing me of ableism and bullying. i replied to this ask, which i will link here. honestly this ask came as a complete shock to me, because i had honestly forgotten all about my previous post.

i responded to anon and in the reply i apologized to their friend for my hurtful comments and expressed that it was never my intention to attack anyone, especially anyone with a disability, which i did not know about when i initially made the first post. i also explained my side, stating why i made the post in the first place, which i still stand by. originally, i had linked their post in my reply, which in hindsight was a mistake that i regret and i should’ve known better. again, my last intention ever is to spread hate and negativity or to bully anyone, so i deleted the link when i was asked by a third party. this person has also since deleted that post about marie entirely.

shortly after i posted the reply, i guess i can only assume that whoever anon was told them about the reply. i’m honestly not sure if they’ve ever actually read this reply or not, but they made a response to my reply, accusing me of harassment and bullying. honestly, it really confused me at the time, since i’d only made two posts in reference to them, and one was a reply to an ask, but we ended up having a third party account who was mutuals with both of us acting as a mediator to settle things and i genuinely wanted to move on from the situation. we both had each other blocked and it seemed to me that anon was just trying to instigate more drama between us, so i thought it best to just leave it at that. i was also going through some mental health issues at the time (unrelated to this situation even though it didn’t help) and had been considering taking a break from tumblr, and so i thought it would be best to just go inactive for a while.

this is honestly the first time i’ve used tumblr in the two months since i’ve been gone, so i have no idea what else has been happening regarding any other blogs and this person, but apparently i am being named as the sole instigator here and i just wanted to once and for all clear up this issue and my name. i’m honestly not sure if this person will see this post or if they’ll even accept it as truth. i can’t force them or anyone to believe me as i really don’t know what else i’d have to do to prove that i don’t have any other secret accounts other than making this post.

i will probably continue to be inactive on this account as i think it is in everyone’s best interest. i never wanted to contribute or start any drama in this fandom, but i feel like i am partially responsible in how this situation has turned out, so i would also like to apologize to you all as well. i’ve never had an account of mine get as big as this one has (thank you to everyone who liked and supported my silly little ramblings!) and i can honestly say i have had the best time interacting and fangirling with you all about this show and these characters that i love so much and i will continue to enjoy and love gen v and marie from afar!

I'm seeing K'Pop coming up with both the dating rumor and the term "K'Population" making the rounds again. For those who are unaware, both are inaccurate.

A few years back, Serin and I were the team that researched the group and investigated where the rumor/name came from. The episode I've linked explains it and provides sources, but here's the TLDR on these two matters.

K'Pop

K'Pop wasn't an abbreviation for K'Population. They debuted as K'Pop and went by that name until disbandment.

As stated during the group's Sugarman2 appearance, the name "K’Pop" was created by Joo Younghoon who produced the group. While on a business trip in Japan, he was inspired by the term “J-Pop” and came up with “K-Pop” as the Korean counterpart to the J-Pop wave. This was the first example of the term being officially used in Korean music, as previously the term for the genre we know today as K-Pop was referred to as Hallyu (한류) and/or Gayo (가요). This is why the music show Inkigayo is named as such, as the name literally means popular music.

Note: K'Pop is styled as such in English, but during promotions, they were also sometimes referred to as "K-Pop". Due to the genre using a hyphen, when referring to the group, an apostrophe is preferred to reduce confusion.

The first reference to K'Population that I found came from the long-defunct website http://kpophwaiting.net. It was an English fansite in the 2000s for the group, as K'Pop had international fans. I found Japanese fansites from 2002, and references to fans in the US.

On the front page of the kpophwaiting site was a notice that read the following: “K-Population is here for those K-Pop fans who do not speak Korean and may have a hard time finding things on the band.” From this, we see that "K-Population" wasn't used as the group's name at all, it was for a fansite.

Sidenote, in case you're wondering what K'Pop's fans were called, it was K’Popcorn (케이팝콘), which also went by the nickname Popcorn (팝콘).

I have no idea how K'Population got misconstrued as being the group's name on various English wikis years later. I assume it was due to general misinformation that was parroted over the years.

The Dating Rumor

From what I could gather, the original Korean and international K’Pop fans didn’t seem to be the source of the dating rumors.

The first mention of it I could find was from 2007, after the group had gone inactive (and technically disbanded) a few years prior in 2005. On January 22nd, someone made a Daum Cafe post saying they heard a rumor from their new friend that Woohyun and Youngwon had dated and broken up pre-debut. However, the poster themselves doubted it and seemed to want to share it because they thought it was funny. The commenters from that time also didn't seem to take it seriously either.

The fight between the two members from 2003 was brought up during this. The context for it being brought up was that the poster was musing about the idea of them fighting and they vaguely remembered Woohyun had bandages on his hands from an actual fight with Youngwon. They didn't claim the dating rumor and the fight were connected events.

For those of you who are unaware of the circumstances of that incident, here's a brief explanation. The group's coordinator was leaving, so the company had a farewell party for them. Prior to that, Youngwon's drinking habit of being rowdy was known to the group. He got drunk during the party, and around 3am Woohyun was fed up with Youngwon picking fights with him. While he was waiting for his ride, Youngwon came up behind him and punched him a few times before staff separated them. Woohyun had an injury to his face and his wrist, as he fell during the incident. (S) After multiple insincere apologies, Youngwon finally got it that he hurt his friend, so he publicly apologized to Woohyun for his actions and they both moved on. There were no further incidents publicly between them, and the group went on to release another album. Despite what people have spread around, the fight wasn't even close to being the reason why K'Pop disbanded -- it also didn't cause long-lasting discord between the members either, as we know from their later reunion.

However, it appears that didn't matter to the next person who spread this rumor. Also in 2007, a reporter wrote an article that acted as if the January post was a true summary of events. Although the article itself is lost to time, a fan's reaction to it was preserved. The fan was annoyed that the fight was brought up to drag the members. They also claimed that due to the reporter's reputation, they doubted the dating rumor was true. The fan's speculation about the article being written to bash the members wasn't unwarranted. For context, around that time, an article came out that discussed the morals of idols who trained/debuted while underage. Youngwon was mentioned in that article, as that reporter brought up the fight with Woohyun in it.

In 2011, the dating rumor article was brought up in conversation among netizens. They remembered the article, but forgot that they didn't take it seriously. So, the story got spread around again as if it was fact. This is why retractions are so important.

After K'Pop's appearance on SugarMan2, the dating rumor was spread to international fans through articles on sites like Koreaboo and Allkpop. To this day, you'll see people associating K'Pop with this rumor after a giant game of telephone.

Final Notes

When it comes to K'Pop, people know them more for two inaccurate pieces of info than anything else they actually did. If you read this whole post and are interested in knowing what the group actually did, I recommend listening to the podcast audio included at the top of this post. I hope I explained this well enough for people to get why 1st Gen fans have been cracking down on those who repost about K'Population and the dating rumor.

Please be cautious when looking at English language wikis for 1st Gen groups in general, as they tend to include wrong info (and generally don't list sources). For example, Baby V.O.X's entry on Kprofiles includes the wrong picture of the original leader (it shows a different member from an MV a few years after her departure) and doesn't list that she was the leader. Additionally, H.O.T's Wikipedia page is a DISASTER. So, be cautious, folks.
