I personally HEAVILY believe that Toodles wouldn’t be as annoying as people portray her to be.. like that isn’t entirely a hc BUT!!!

Based off her insecurity of being unhelpful and afraid, she’d try her best to be likeable. Of course she’s a kid and will act like a kid— I HATE when people make her too angsty/mature— BUT she’d definitely attempt to be “mature” or responsible for other people’s problems!!

I think this could also tie into her being the only kid. She is the ONLY child toon and there aren’t even other children coming to gardenview anymore so imagine how out of place she feels…. She just wants to be INCLUDED 💔💔

One of the things i really like to yap abt with my friends is how the toons suffer from the conditions theyve been placed in because the founders didnt think it through/care enough. like toodles was designed to want to help but being a kid people will naturally not want her to help, whether it be out of concern or just doubt that she can do it or something else - this is fine for a cartoon show where the characters can have planned out interactions and emotions but when its applied to Living Beings with Real Emotions it really fucks with toodles. its like an itch she can never scratch </3

I love Alastor immensely as a character, whether I'm writing from his point of view or from an outsider's, so I'm absolutely pleased that my enjoyment of him has seeped out and infected you like some kind of fictional mold in your walls. He's got a lot going on between those fuzzy ears of his, and most of it is, like, deeply unwell.

The funny thing about the medical degree is that there are definitely moments (like the disembowelment) where I know it shines through, but I've also had people absolutely clock me on it during times when I just include things as a matter of my own baseline knowledge that I forget most people don't actually think about basically ever, so I've absolutely hit the point of that one xkcd comic, haha. I do try to make it fun to read, though, so I'm glad you enjoy it!

ohhh just saw ur rant post! i agree with like 99.99% of it and im excited and i just wanna point out that it's stated in canon that james would have considered it the height of dishonor to distrust his friends, so, canonically, we only know of sirius suspecting remus (although i've read fics where james also distrused remus and i adore the angst and the drama and the absolute tragedy of it)

to add to the dorm thing: there are only like 5 boys in gryffindor in harry's year. not just in his dorm, but the whole house (as stated in chambers of secrets), so there's a very real chance the marauders were the only 4 boys in their year in gryffindor

and also to back up another one of ur points: pottermore canon states that remus was the one to bring peter into the group ("Remus, always the underdog’s friend, was kind to short and rather slow Peter Pettigrew, a fellow Gryffindor, whom James and Sirius might not have thought worthy of their attention without Remus’s persuasion. Soon, these four became inseparable."). before that it also states that "Remus Lupin was swiftly befriended by two cheerful, confident and rebellious boys, James Potter and Sirius Black. They were attracted by Remus’s quiet sense of humour and a kindness that they valued, even if they did not always possess it themselves"

Oh, yeah, you're actually right here. It was pretty much Sirius we know about but I somehow thing it must have been a little bit from the others too. Especially because of the fact that Remus had actively started distancing himself. Oh, just imagine if Peter was intentionally slipping comments about it or something just so he can fully take the suspicion from himself away. And then... In reality I think Remus was mostly doing it to just keep them safe.

I'm not 100% sure if it's ever mentioned that someone outside of the Marauders, later Snape, and Dumbledore knew he's a werewolf. Maybe the other teachers, or some of them, but I highly doubt anyone in the first Order knew. In fact, maybe Lily didn't know. And I mentioned in another post how I think that maybe he hasn't seen Harry as a baby and this makes me feel so sad because he probably wanted to stay away.

But I'm not so sure here, I have to admit it's been a while since I read the books.

I fall into some downwards spiral about angsty thoughts but I actually don't like reading such fics xD Honestly, in this fandom I can swear 80% of them are either some angst or Major Character Death warning... I can't. If I want that, I'll reread the parts from the book xD

Oh, okay, that's a good point! We really don't know if there weren't other boys there. I just think, all dorms were kind of for 5 people and idk, if there are 5 students, they all gonna be in one. If there are 10 or less, they'll be in two, etc. So I suppose here the question is how many boys were in this year. (Tbh, I never really understood the roommates thing xD I somehow can't imagine having to share a room with someone for years and not becoming friends. Sure, for example Harry and Ron were best friends but I believe they considered the other friends too, just not as close. How would you otherwise trust these people with stuff like... Not touching your personal things or like, killing you in your sleep. Stuff like that. Also, it's otherwise kinda awkward.)

Feels like it happened just bc Bowie was (is?) her rival and he dated Raj A random headcanon: I made a post about this but, to me, her parents are definitely divorced and her mom's been through, like, 5 marriages. Her mom and dad opened the bakery when they were together and now they have to tolerate each other for the sake of the business. THANK YOU FOR ASKING THIS VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION!!!!! i adore tomato soup :) it’s wonderfully rich and delicious when seasoned well and it’s hearty without being too heavy. it’s incredibly easy to make cause you just stick that shit in a blender and let it go to town. 10/10 soup. though actually i used to find it very boring and texturally even bad (i thought this about all western soups*)… i also disliked grilled cheeses for the same reasons. sometime during a finals week in college i was desperate for something greasy and filling and the cafe had recently started selling a tomato soup/grilled cheese combo. changed my life honestly i make a banger tomato bisque now i’m handing you a bowl 🥫🥣 also while we’re here…..what does olivarz mean<3

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ASKING he's from ikemen revolution: love and magic in wonderland (ENG)/イケメン革命◆ アリスと恋の魔法(JPN)!!! my url is the official shorthand for it hehe. it's an mobile otome game with isekai foundations by cybird and it has two main story arcs - alice in wonderland main romance route, and through the looking glass romance+. not everyone has a looking glass route but jonah does!!

i''ll put all my rambling under a cut because i'm infodumping about him (sprry .__.)

the 'wonderland' in ikerev is split into factions! red, black, and neutral. like cards. everyone is assigned a card as their rank/social status. the red+black cards are the cardsuits hearts and diamonds, and black is clubs and spades. both of the groups are rival factions representing hierarchical inheritance (red) and 'rule of the strongest' (black). the ranks in red you are usually born into, and the ranks in black you earn by defeating the previous holder of that rank. the rankings in terms of importance are the same as a card deck; king -> queen -> jack -> numbers -> ace.

jonah's the queen of hearts! he was born into that rank as the elder of two brothers and works really hard to live up to those shoes. his younger brother is in the black army after excommunicating himself from the clemence family because he believed more in the philosophy of the black army. his name's luka and he's the jack of spades. we love him he's one of my best friends ever.

there is also a cheshire cat (loki genetta) and a joker of the deck (harr silver) as well as a few others (i can ramble about everyone another time hehe)

i'm alice! i believe everyone is alice, since in ikerev 'alice' is a title given to the one who falls from the world of reason into cradle (ikerev's name for wonderland). so really i'm An alice. one of many. i fell from the world of reason into cradle, and jonah was one of the very first faces i met after falling into the central quarter when i arrived. at first sought refuge with the black army, but i became super interested in learning about the red army, because their differing perspectives were fascinating to me! i adore everyone, so i wanted to learn as much as possible since i couldn't go home for a little while. the veil between cradle and reason thins every now and then, but it isn't constant.you can't go back and forth easily, so i was trying to acclimatize myself with their world as much as possible.

through that, i ended up spending some time with the red army, and since jonah is the second highest rank, he spent some time in rotation showing me around, acting as my guard (many people in cradle don't like the knowledge that an alice is present, and see it as a bad omen when an alice falls into cradle). i got to know him through those hehe. eventually i convinced him to show me around the central quarter (the neutral ground between red and black) too, and that's where his favourite patisserie is actually! the first time he went on a little ramble about how particular he is towards his mille-feuille i thought it was so so charming.

he's the type who gets flustered over his own feelings easily, so he was vehemently in denial about caring for me for such a long time. one of my alltime favourite cgs (the one below of us in the rain) is the first time he showed concern for me. he was worried because i was out exploring cradle and it'd started raining, and he'd come looking for me, and shook my shoulders gently and told me not to do such reckless things again, i could've been hurt! or killed! or sick! i could've fallen! hehe....
