Me talking to a classmate I discovered loves Final Fantasy: I’m really disappointed Cloud didn’t beat the crap out of Aerith

#final fantasy vii#ffvii rebirth#final fantasy vii rebirth#ffvii#cloud strife#aerith gainsborough#I know they took this issue and applied it to Tifa#and I LOVED that scene#but idk#it hit way different to realize Cloud was pummeling Aerith with his bare hands#THATS how we knew how much of a control on Cloud Sephiroth had#also they sorta had the whispers wanting Cloud to attempt to stab Aerith#but man#I really love the dynamic in the og of Cloud going to stab her and then pulling himself out of it#before Sephiroth rains down#but the remake is playing with things so well that in the end I’m cool with the changes#if anything I’m just sorry for the new people who won’t get that original version#to see the drama of what exactly has been changed
