Emilia Pérez won???? Seriously????!! A movie directed by a French director who wanted to talk about mexican cartels, but didn't even bother to do any research about Mexico or mexican culture. That dared to talk about a delicate matter of the country but didn't do any research and who, from all the cast, only put one mexican actor (and was a background actor). And put spanish dialogues to an actress that doesn't even know how to speak spanish.
Should I go on?

Be Cautious Where You Take Your Classic Car or Muscle Car
Vintage car owners, including those with muscle cars, street rods, hot rods, antiques and vintage trucks, are generally facing uncertain times as car thefts are on the rise, and actions from thieves are becoming more striking and brazen. I recently came across a story written by a man who owned a Daytona Blue 1963 Corvette Coupe with all matching numbers. The all-original classic sport car had an immaculate dark blue rooms where only the carpet had ever been replaced. The 327 engine was said to produce a rhythmic loping that not only brought a smile to your face, but got you day dreaming of having this loveliness parked in your own garage. Then disaster strikes and you're snapped out of your dream and into his headache! The owner of this beautiful piece of American history took his prized car to what he called a small "backwoods" show that a friend and he decided to go to in the spur of the moment. As owner Jacob Morgan, of Bakersfield, CA described, "The event was an annual but rather unofficial gathering of classic truck buffs and I was thrilled to bring my car down. Unfortunately, the part of Florida that the occurrence was being held was extremely dry due to drought. About three or four hours after arriving, a man which owned a red GTO (I could not tell you the year because frankly I did not care afterward) thought to start up his ride for the spectators. It was just one backfire but it was enough to start the dry yard ablaze--and guess where my Corvette was parked? Nearly thirty classic cars were consumed by the blaze started by that backfiring GTO and my Corvette was one of them. Of course I had the car properly covered but they just aren't making 1963 Corvettes any longer and the only one I could find that was similar cost $10, 000 more than my policy's payoff. I guess if there is a moral to my sad tale, it is and avoid backwoods car shows at all costs because they are unregulated, disorganized, and very dangerous to classic cars like my much loved 1963 Corvette Coupe. " This may not be your traditional way of losing your prized classic car, muscle family car, street rod, antique car, vintage truck or other collectible old vehicle, but it does drive property the point that we need to exercise care in even the most innocent surroundings like a car show! Freak injuries like Mr. Morgan experienced can and do account for many losses to enthusiasts - not just fraud or vandalism. Sadly though, theft isn't a rare thing and the methods are becoming more bizarre. Guy Algar and I have had pieces stolen off one of our own vehicles that we were towing back to our buy while we stopped for a quick bite to eat! We've had a good number of hubcaps taken over the years. Together with, we actually had the brake lights ripped off of our car hauler while we were in a sections store one day picking up parts for a customer! We've had one customer tell us the story where he previously taken his wife out to dinner and had carefully parked his 1969 Corvette at a nearby restaurant, under a big bright light, and in what appeared to be a "safe" area, only to come out 1 out of 3 minutes to an hour later to find all his emblems and trim taken right off the car! Thieves are generally known to take the entire car hauler (with the classic sitting on top) right off the tow vehicle's hitch ball and transfer the hauler to their own tow vehicle when people are on the road, at a motor vehicle show, or some other type of event. These are bold moves by people who do not fear the consequences. Other thefts that have been reported around the country have included: Dr . Phil just had his '57 Chevy Belair convertible stolen from the Burbank repair shop he had brought it to for repairs. A 1937 Buick, valued with over $100, 000 was taken from a gated community parking garage in Fort Worth, Texas. He of New Mexico reported the theft of two of his collector cars to Hemming. Ben owns about half a dozen collector cars altogether, and to store them all, he rented out a storage product. Unfortunately, when he went to check on them recently, for the first time in about six months, he found that will two were missing - a 1957 two-door Chevrolet Belair and a 1967 Mercury Cougar GT. There would be also a report of a man from Jefferson City, Missouri, who actually recovered his own stolen car, some sort of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro that had been stolen 16 years before, after seeing it in a Google search! Within a Los Angeles suburb, a woman came home to a garage empty of her prized 1957 Chevy Bel-Air which often had been valued at more than $150, 000. The beautiful convertible had been featured in several magazines and Tv programs and won dozens of awards at car shows around the country. A neighbor's surveillance camera caught what of the thieves and revealed that the Bel-Air was pushed down the street by a pickup truck which had pulled inside her driveway just minutes after she had left. The thieves likely loaded it onto an waiting for trailer. It's thought that the thieves spotting the car at one of the car shows, followed it home next, then waited for the opportunity to steal it. A Seattle collector was the victim of a targeted "smash-and grab" from the warehouse where he kept his cars. The thieves apparently ransacked the building and additionally drove off with a 396/425 four-speed 1965 Corvette Stingray; and a 20, 000-mile 396/four-speed 1970 Chevelle SS. A 1959 Chevrolet Impala was stolen during a Cruise Night. The owner got good news-bad news in the event the police tracked down because while they did recover the classic car, he had put in a maintain for the theft with his insurance policy after the theft many months before, so the car went to the insurance company rather then being returned to him. Apparently detectives recovered the Impala from a chop shop nearly eight a long time after it was stolen, repainted and modified. Hemmings News also reported of a reader whose 1970 Frd Maverick was stolen from his home in Missouri. The car was found and returned, but the examination apparently revealed that the thief had been watching the owner for 2 years, with the intention of stealing it in addition to using it to race with. Chilling thing to find out. A 1979 Buick Electra 225 Limited Edition has been stolen out of a grocery store parking lot in suburban Detroit with the thief escaping with an urn contained in the trunk that contained the remains of the owner's stepfather! After saving for over 40 years, someone from Virginia bought the car of his dreams, a 1962 Dodge Lancer. Buying his dream automobile, he began his restoration project, which was about 60 percent complete when he relocated to Florida. Without a garage to keep it in after his move, he stored it in a 24-foot enclosed movie trailer along with a 1971 Dodge Colt he planned to turn into a race car, and kept the trailer left at a storage lot. At the end of July, the trailer and everything in it disappeared. The last story really has a happy ending because it was recovered due to alert shop owners being suspicious of person looking to unload a Lancer for only $1, 500 including the many boxes of parts. After some explore, the owner was reunited with his car. Guy and I have been approached on numerous occasions by people eager to sell their vehicles. Some have hardship stories and the callers are willing to unload the car for a real great deal. We've always walked from these offers, primarily because we're not in the business of buying and selling vehicles (we're not dealers or re-sellers), but also because we're cautious of a "too-good-to-be-true" price. One call in certain did make us very suspicious, as the woman caller insisted that the sale had to be completed by Saturday (she called our shop over the weekend) and the price was extremely low for a rather rare product Mustang. Alert shop owners can be instrumental in aiding in the recovery of stolen classic cars. And not all stories have a happy ending like this. Classic cars, muscle cars and antiques can make their method to chop shops, end up damaged and abandoned, and even being re-sold on Internet sites such as eBay and Craigslist! Just yesterday, I reported on a 1954 Chevy Pickup truck which was stolen from a woman's driveway in Okla City. (Ironically this article was already written and scheduled for release today when the news hit. I've increased her case because, unfortunately, it emphasizes how common thefts have become. ) She wisely reached available to the Hemmings community of enthusiasts for help. Hemmings. com has a huge following, referred to as "Hemmings Nation", and appealing for help to a community of enthusiasts like this can be instrumental in helping to give vital information to help police and authorities who can help track and recover a stolen classic car. We applaud the effort that Hemmings does. And, the methods that thieves are using, as you can see, are as varied as the categories of vehicles! Even seemingly innocent little car shows and gatherings are places you need to exercise a little warning and care. As I reported in a July article, carjackings involving classic cars are even becoming even more commonplace. Surprisingly, in some cases, the Internet has been helpful in aiding in the recovery of classic cars and muscle mass cars. There have been numerous stories, much like the Camaro owner above, and a man who found his 1949 Honda through a listing on Craigslist (the two men responsible were arrested and charged with disassembling a car or truck after the owner positively identified it as his) where owners have been able to locate their cars with Internet searches. For those not so fortunate, insurance is the only consolation. We highly recommend classic car or "collector" car insurance. There are a number of companies that provide this specialized insurance, and it is generally well worth the cost. Classic Car Info provided an article, Purchasing Classic Car Insurance, containing a list of companies along with links to contact them. I also propose Hagerty Insurance's publication, Deterring Collector Car Theft, which has tips on theft prevention. In addition to the quick-strip thefts, robbers usually always alter, remove or forge VIN numbers, which make identification of the car or truck more difficult. Vehicle Id Numbers (VINs) are serial numbers for vehicles that are used to differentiate similar makes and models. Very like social security numbers, every vehicle has a different VIN. VIN plates are usually located on the dashboard on current cars, but are often found in the door jams of older models. VIN plates can be switched with an additional vehicle for a fast coverup. The point here is to be aware of your surroundings, including where you park your car. Tend not to take it for granted that just because you're at an event with fellow enthusiasts that something bad aren't able to happen. Take preventive action by securing your old car or truck. Guy Algar suggests, "Don't forget to look at precautions even at home. You may feel safe parking your ride in 'the safety' of your two van garage, but remember, even if you don't have windows where people can peer in and spot your sought after car, thieves can also follow you home from work, a cruise, or even the grocery store and approach a theft after surveilling your home and learning your schedule. If you have a ride that catches folks' attention, remember that it can also catch the wrong attention! "

It has always housed a mix of greengrocers, butchers, delis, bakers and prepared food vendors. In recent years, offerings have gone from “fresh, local” to “artisanal and gourmet,” sometimes referring to the same vendors with a new spin, but more often reflecting trendy newcomers.
When I first visited the Grand Central Market a couple decades ago, shoppers were predominantly Latino and Asian families from the neighborhood. Now they’re joined by hipsters of every background who are part of the new Downtown lifestyle.
Traditionally, Grand Central Market has closed early, but in mid-2014, they extended hours Thursday through Saturday from 8 am to 9 pm for dinner. the rest of the week, hours are 8 am to 6 pm.

The Fashion District is a great place to shop for bargain clothes, textiles and accessories. People who can fit into sample sizes will find extreme bargains on designer garb. The Fashion District website includes a photo tour as well as a podcast tour you can download. It gets really crazy on Saturdays. Many businesses are closed on Sundays, so it’s not as busy, but there’s not as much selection.

Visit the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District
•••
Most people assume that the Downtown Art Walk happens in the Arts District. But Gallery Row is not actually in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. The Arts District is an industrial area in Downtown LA a few blocks to the east of Gallery Row that has been growing into an artists’ community since the 1970’s. It has the highest density of murals in the city, which you can explore on your own or on any number of tours. In addition to murals, street art, studios and galleries, the area has drawn film and media companies, ad agencies and other creatives.

Explore Chinatown in LA
•••
Chinatown in downtown Los Angeles, sometimes known as New Chinatown, was developed around the Central Plaza in 1938, just west of Old Chinatown, where Union Station is now. Before the move, this area was LA’s Little Italy, and is still home to St. Peter’s Italian Church and Casa Italiana Cultural Center. LA’s Chinatown is less dense than New York or San Francisco. The shops don’t line the streets as thickly, but there are still a few cute stores and plazas through the serpent gateway heading north on Broadway from Cesar Chavez. The neon pagoda lights and lanterns at Central Plaza make a colorful display at night. Most of the notable landmarks in Chinatown are a few blocks from the Chinatown Metro Station.
The Chinese American Museum is not in Chinatown. It is a few blocks away at Olvera Street.

Take a Tour of Los Angeles City Hall
•••
200 North Spring Street Los Angeles, CA 90012 (213) 978-1995 www.lacity.org
Built in 1928, the 32-story Los Angeles City Hall was the tallest building in the city until modern building methods allowed taller high rise buildings to appear in the 1960s. The building is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument. It is still home to the mayor and city council office and council chambers. It is part of the Civic Center district, which also includes county, state and federal buildings.
The iconic City Hall tower has appeared as itself and stood in for other locations in dozens of TV shows and movies.
This photo shows City Hall with a street sign pointing toward all of the city’s many sister cities.
You can walk in (through the metal detectors) and explore on your own with the self-guided tour materials available at the information desk on the 3rd Floor. Be sure to take the elevator up to the observation deck on the 27th floor. You have to take the Express Elevator to the 22nd Floor, then another adjacent elevator to the 26th floor. Finally, you walk up one flight through the Mayor Tom Bradley Room and exit onto the Observation Balcony that circles the building.
Docent-led City Hall Tours are available weekday mornings from 9 am to noon. The last tour usually leaves around 11, but it’s not a fixed schedule. If you make a reservation, you’re more likely to land on the right hour for a tour, and might even get your parking covered.

At the west end of the park, the restored Arthur J. Will Memorial Fountainincludes a spouted wading area that is a popular place to cool off on hot summer days. At night, a light show draws romantic strolling couples and photo enthusiasts.
The park includes 24 botanic gardens inspired by the six Floristic Kingdoms of the world and plenty of green lawn for playing and relaxing. The only vendor in the park is a Starbucks near the fountain, which is in the same facility as the public restrooms.

The modern structure towers over the 101 Hollywood Freeway from its perch between Olvera Street and Chinatown. A Beer Lover’s Guide to Albuquerque’s Wells Park Breweries
Bow and Arrow Brewing in Albuquerque’s Wells Park neighborhood. (Credit: Efrain Villa)
April 13, 2017
The landscape in Albuquerque, New Mexico, does not prostrate to subtlety. Ten-thousand-foot peaks rise high above the urban valley’s east side, petroglyph-etched volcanoes flank the city to the west while the Rio Grande Bosque, a lush strip of cottonwood forest, lines the oldest neighborhoods in town.
With a setting this striking, it makes sense Albuquerqueans (Burqueños, if you’re in the know) would also have a flare for the dramatic.
(MORE: 10 April Fool’s Day Pranks from Breweries)
“Albuquerque is a place of bold people, colors and flavors,” says Jesse Herron, a local entrepreneur whose company, Albuquerque Tourism & Sightseeing Factory, offers various city tours, including a craft beer excursion aboard a 14-passenger bicycle. “We like our food spicy and flavorful, and so it’s obvious for our craft beers to reflect our bold character.”
However, that boldness is not always on showy display. Hidden within former warehouses along defunct railroad spurs and retired machinery, edgy breweries share real estate with maker spaces in the industrial neighborhood of Wells Park, which abuts downtown and the city’s original settlement, Old Town.
“Downtown and Old Town get all the attention from tourists,” says Herron. “But Wells Park’s breweries capture the understated spirit of today’s Albuquerque.”
Here’s our walkable guide to Wells Park’s breweries.
Bow and Arrow Brewing Company
Bow and Arrow opened its doors in February 2016 after years of planning.
“I had to jump through extra zoning hoops to locate here,” says Shyla Sheppard, owner and CEO. “I was committed, though, because it was also an investment in my own neighborhood.”
Built in the former Chaparral Electrical Warehouse, the award-winning architectural design elements of this brewery and taproom meld the industrial vibe of the neighborhood with the earthy tones and textures of the Southwest.
Upon entering, you walk through a short corridor with a series of windows into the brewery that progressively widen as you near the cavernous tasting room. “We’ve created a sense of anticipation with those glimpses into production because we want to foster appreciation for our craft,” says Sheppard.
During happy hour (Monday-Thursday, 3-6 p.m.), the suit-and-tie crowd from nearby downtown can be found mingling at the long tables underneath rustic chandeliers. There is also an upstairs area, complete with a kitchen, available for private parties. Throughout the building, Native American themed art is displayed. The brewery’s logo itself is part hop cone, part arrowhead.
The nods to indigenous elements do not end with décor. A glance at the menu reveals names like Sun Dagger Belgian-style Saison and Hoka Hey India Pale Ale, “hoka hey” being a Hidatsa indigenous expression that translates to “get ready.” For some homegrown flavor, try the Flint & Grit English Mild Hybrid, an English ale hybridized with local roasted blue corn. There is also a kombucha/lager blend for unconventional palates.
(MAP: Find a Brewery)
Tractor Brewing Company
From Bow and Arrow, walk south on Sixth St. two blocks. Turn east on Haines Ave toward Fourth St. Head south on Fourth St. for half a block. Tractor Brewing Company is on the left.
This brewery began in 1999 in the nearby town of Los Lunas and relocated its entire 15-barrel operation, vintage tractors and all, to a vacant furniture showroom in Wells Park in 2014, after negotiations fell through to secure the then-empty site on which Rio Bravo Brewing Company now sits.

The brewery is well known for its support of local arts organizations through its Beers for a Better Burque Program. Regular community events here include live music, poetry slams, open mic nights, movie nights and Art Fight, which is a live art competition. The monthly rotating artwork on the walls is from local artists and it is worth noting the brewery does not collect a commission from art sales.
“Community is a strong component of everything we do,” says Tim Torres, quality assurance manager. “Even our relationship with the food trucks is part of that. We get to solely focus on what we do best, brewing and serving beer, and they provide delicious food to our customers.”
As for the 24 beers on tap, Torres is especially proud of the Pilsner #15 and Milk Mustachio Stout, which he says is “full of flavor and character and people really like the visual density when we put it on nitro.”
A barrel-aged sour debuts in spring.

Rio Bravo Brewing Company
From Tractor, head two blocks east on Hannet Ave. to Second St. then head two blocks north. Rio Bravo Brewing Company is on the right.
Established in 2015 in a former Firestone Tires plant on a sprawling 14,000 sq. ft. site, almost half of this brewery and taproom is outdoor patio space. On warm days, the beer garden is bustling with people, but things get significantly sparser when temperatures drop.
The owners, Randy and Denise Baker, are serious about their motto: “Live Bold.” From the tournament-size shuffleboard to the enormous fans above the bar, nothing about this place is small.
“With the jelly jar lighting and rolled trusses, this place feels like a huge Post-World War II bunker and it’s definitely way bigger than we planned, but it works,” says Randy.
Going big was not without challenges. “We tried for days to scrape off all the old, green paint from the floors and finally gave up,” says Randy. “But people always compliment the green floors now. It also got us to recycle some green tables that a local restaurant, Dion’s Pizza, was getting rid of.”
Expect to find strong flavors on tap. The Level 3 is a nuke-strength hoppy IPA (7.5% ABV, 110 IBU) and the Grab ‘Em by the Putin Russian Imperial Stout boasts a sensational 13.5% ABV. For the less brawny, the Randy Shandy hits the spot. Also worth a taste is the popular Piñon Coffee Porter, a collaboration with the New Mexico Piñon Coffee Company.

Dialogue Brewing
From Rio Bravo Brewing, Dialogue Brewing is a two-block straight shot south on First St. Created by artists, film-makers and restaurateurs, this six-month-old brewery and taproom is part Burning Man dreamscape, part industrial minimalist experiment.
Dialogue Brewing in Albuquerque’s Wells Park neighborhood. (Credit: Efrain Villa)
Virtually everything under this 1920s warehouse’s bowstring roof is handcrafted to be greater than the sum of its parts. White birch and bamboo elements contrast against metal panels, light projection mapping and local artists’ works. Even the bar stools are distinctive, created through CNC machining, which is a process that combines computers and woodworking.
Despite modern conveniences like USB charging outlets, you will not find a single television screen.
“We left TVs out and created this cool community space so people socialize,” says Ian Graham, head brewer. “We’ve even had lyra hoop and aerial silk performances because these days it’s not enough to just make good beer, you also have to look good doing it.”
Efficient use of the small footprint was imperative. The seven-barrel system’s fermenters create a wall that separates the production area from the taproom. Outside, a small patio is decked out with six towering Rebar “tree” sculptures that also provide group seating. The sculptures weigh more than 7,000 lbs. and were buried eight feet into the ground to structurally support the 40 feet that jut out aboveground. Plans are in place to add plants to the tops of the sculptures to complement the $8,000 worth of exotic and native species currently planted.
The place is a feast for the eyes. “There’s even a hidden sculpture of the Sandia Mountains underneath the bar,” says Graham. “Basically, our staff put their hearts and souls into every detail of this place. They’re amazing and everyone is Cicerone Certified so they can educate our customers.”
Of the 12 beers on tap, sours and German-style lagers are the specialties of the house. The Belgian Citrus IPA was the runner-up in the Specialty Category of the National IPA Challenge.
“It’s expensive to produce that style because the hops come in at the end so we have to use more, but it’s worth it,” says Graham.
(MORE: What is Craft Beer?)
Marble Brewery
From Dialogue, walk south on First St. five blocks to reach Marble Brewery. This is the oldest brewery in the neighborhood, and it is a badge of honor for locals to say they knew Marble “before it was cool.” It has won at least nine GABF medals since 2011.
The small, original taproom, rumored to have been behind the city’s first food truck/brewery collaborative model, has been completely gutted and now sports a rooftop deck, outdoor stage, heated patio and the Abuelo Goyo mural by Nuezz, which is likely the most Instagrammed wall in town.
On a hot summer evening, it is common to see a line of hipsters, baby boomers and multi-generational families eagerly waiting to get inside. The incongruous crowd of people is at the heart of Marble’s success; it is truly a brewery for everyone.
So grab a beer, they are all good here, and end your brewery tour where this neighborhood’s brewing history began.
