the two subclasses that make me the most depressed in 5e are druid circle of the primeval (ua) and ranger drakewarden conclave bc they have insanely sick premises but in play they suck complete ass

#the fact that a subclass built around having a giant pet/companion makes you start out w them at medium size is a hate crime #also the fact that you can flavor is for offense or defense (saber toothed tiger vs wooly rhino is wotc example) but these have NO influence #on stats??? WHY BRING IT UP THEN. plus the 1d8 bite attack girl it’s literally a dinosaur.#tbf the drakewarden isn’t as bad and there are worse ranger subclasses (don’t @ me) but it’s still so underdeveloped #voice of a guy who is building a pc and wants to have a cool pet w/out sacrificing playability 😔😔#my posts #dnd
