Did you see that Marlene retweeted a ship poll with the Emison tag? Woman please, why you playing like this.
Note: see edit below
***
I didn’t see that. Can’t say I’m surprised. I don’t know the content of whatever was published…but I am absolutely certain she’s using Emison fans for views (despite how much she loves the ship). And as much as I try to defend her as a person (and still do), I disagree with that tactic…so fucking much. She needs to nut up and just be honest about the fact that she has no plans for Emison and that she’s making it up as she goes along.
She’s never going to bring Emison back (despite promises of their journey). Shay is done. Emison is done. If you’re watching for their happy ending it’ll never happen (at least not on screen).
I’m not telling you to give up, but…I’m a realist. I’m also a writer who knows BS when I see it.
I saw this coming a mile away.
*******
Edit 5/5: According to one of my followers, apparently this has caused some controversy with someone on Twitter (which I don’t tend to get on Twitter for that very reason).
The fact that I even have to address this is another reason I’m not giving my time to this show. People get too heated, too conflicted, and take things way too personally. This post was an ask that I gave my opinion on, backed by actual facts.
1) Shay has no interest in the show. And if you follow her at all you know that she’s been busy with several other projects and has not given any indication whatsoever she has plans to do a cameo to resolve anything on screen. It’s pretty clear to anyone who knows how to read people that she’s moved on from PLL. “Never say never” is Hollywood speak for “I don’t want to disappoint people and say no, but the truth is that I’ve moved on.” And if people want to believe that it’s all been top secret and that she’s secretly filmed something, more power to you, but given that she’s pretty much been out of the country AND the personal things she was dealing with last year…I just don’t see it.
2) Marlene said in an interview that she knew about “The Perfectionists” and who was on board when she was filming season 6 of PLL (Sasha said the exact same thing). That would mean that Marlene had plenty of time to figure out the creative aspects of the whole Emison thing without the added off-screen drama. Why bring off-screen drama when you know ½ of the party of the couple is not game for the show? For ratings. That’s Marketing 101. It unfortunately backfired, and I really honestly hate that, because a lot of people seem to be enjoying the show and now they’re caught up in this whirlwind when they’re just trying to chill and talk about the show. They’ve been screwed the most, because here is a show that has characters they really like getting low ratings because people are spreading negativity about it because of this.
3) Before the show even aired Marlene repeatedly assured fans that Emison was solid. She painted a picture of positivity. She used vague terms like “journey” and “growth” instead of admitting that they were having problems. She knew if she was honest her fanbase wouldn’t tune in, which I get. But if you go back and look at the interviews you can clearly tell that everything that was said in the press was a way to invite Emison shippers in. The truth is, she can’t possibly have any plans for Emison when she doesn’t even know how many seasons are in line. She has to change her ideas accordingly to adjust to that. That’s part of screenwriting. Storyboarding constantly changes depending upon who is available, where the plot is at, ect.
All of these things are facts. Those are all credible things that can be looked up. I literally said in this post that you don’t have to give up, but that I personally am realistic about the situation. If there are people out there who want to believe otherwise, that’s fine, but I prefer to read between the lines, so I know what to expect and I don’t create unrealistic scenarios in my head. That way I’m not disappointed.
By all means, be optimistic if you like. I very well could be wrong. And if I am, I’ll be fine with being wrong. But I’d rather be wrong and not disappointed than right and upset. All I’m saying is that you should go into it with realistic expectations, especially if you are only watching for a ship (this doesn’t apply to most people). And when/if this all comes to fruition with Emison not being a thing anymore, don’t be pissed or upset or angry. Because the writing is on the wall. In big fucking letters. And anyone who believed otherwise has no right to scream and yell at Marlene about it. (note: no one should scream and yell at her, period).
In terms of Emison being over, perhaps whoever is upset with me hasn’t seen my previous opinions on the show in which I explain that Emison is never going to get a concrete resolution with Shay not being interested. What that means is that there is a possibility that when the show ends there will be a line thrown in there where Alison says she’s going back to be with her family and to Emily (or there is a deleted scene from PLL that has whatever is needed to show them together again). But that’s not a “plan” or a “journey”. That’s fan-service. She’s never going to bring Emison back in a way that will make sense, and she’ll never get them back to the status they were once at without the resolution on screen, which is not happening, because this isn’t and never was an Emison spin-off. That’s the problem with this storyline (which should not have been a storyline in the first place). The drama that has been created that can’t possibly be written and fixed realistically.
For what it’s worth, I do hope that she has a plan for them, but I also know that a lot of the tactics she’s using are for marketing. She has to sell it some way. And that’s the route she went. If you want to trust in her, that’s fine. I never said Marlene was lying (in fact, if you know me you’d know that I support her and I always have). I said she was using marketing ploys. When she says something in an interview I tend to remember it’s a calculated response (aka, BS, which is what writing essentially is). But if you look at her track record she’s been on camera saying things that are proven to be false in the future.
Both her and Sasha have been quoted in saying things that have proven to be false (on Sasha’s part, that’s part of her contract and I do not have any animosity about any of it, again, because I get it). Sasha literally said that there was no separation. No split. Then all of a sudden they’re divorced. There’s not a lot of backtracking you can do on that. Marlene has said similar things. She said in one interview that she hoped Alison would “earn the right to love again” (aka, love interest), and then said “I never said that”. And here we are with a divorced Alison and a completely open plot for her to receive a love interest. And when she gets a love interest, well, there’s your proof that it’s all a dog and pony show.
If you think all of this is not a way to try and keep the Emison fans watching then you need to take a Marketing class.
I have respect for people watching. I want to make that very clear. I’ve never said “don’t watch the show”. I’ve simply given opinions, oftentimes backed by facts. I’m a diplomatic person. I think everyone is entitled to their beliefs.
This original post was not anti-Emison. I am very much an Emison fan. Just because I’m not rooting for Emison in a show that’s not about them does not mean I’m a hater. This post was me telling other Emison fans to tread carefully when it comes to hoping for positivity for Emison. I never once said that people should not have their own beliefs. But people are allowed to have a difference of opinion without the dissent. If you have a problem with my opinion, that’s fine. I respect that. However, trying to bad-mouth someone without having all the facts is not the right approach to anything.
Emison attacking other Emison fans is fucking ludicrous. Believe what you want to believe and get on with your life.

As promised, Mamamoo completes their year long project ‘Four Seasons Four Colors’ with the release of their ninth mini album ‘White Wind’ on March 14. ‘Four Seasons Four Colors’ had goals of building up Mamamoo’s artistic repertoire by exploring new sounds that are unexpected of the group. Using seasons and colors for the concept gives the quartet wide range to accomplish these goals. Reviewing the last two mini albums (‘Red Moon’ and ‘Blue;s’) have been awesome, and I felt obliged to post about the final piece of the project.
The concept for this album treats white as the blank canvas for Mamamoo to freely create an array of colors by using the colors they had showcased in the past, conceptually both primary and neon colors. Mamamoo pays homage to their start as they use their bright colors in a modernized way parallel to their jazzy, retro-pop concept of debut. The way they are bolder and cooler with the pop of neon gave me the essence of their previous releases under the primary colors. Even the album cover design used a gradient accent of blue and purple that reminded me of their mini album cover for ‘Purple’ that was released prior to this project, which they first expressed the concept of mixing colors to symbolize a new sound. With all this said and seeing the teasers, I wondered if they were in any way revisiting their old sound.
I’ll be quoting Mamamoo as they gave descriptions of each song in their highlight medley video.
Let’s get to it!
‘White Wind’ Album Art
‘Where R U’
R&B song that expresses the heart fluttering feelings of waiting for a destined lover, as if they’re playing hide-and-seek.
This track took me by surprise by how airy and light the production was. The plucked chords reminded me of strings from the violin family, and the flute synth notes created a refreshing, dreamy sound. If you listen closely during the pre-chorus you can hear xylophones chiming in and it plays as a cute little accent. These parts gave me the feeling that I was probably going to transcend into heaven, but the guitar and the main beat helped balance out the mentioned parts as if to keep listeners grounded. The vocals expressed well about wondering where their future lover is. Although Mamamoo sang lightly, they didn’t sound weak or broken but rather firm. The way the song ended felt abrupt and awkward, only to realize it emphasized the wonder that surrounded the repeated question.
youtube
‘Gogobebe’ (Title Track)
The song uses the ‘jijibee (…)’ from Kim Gunmo‘s ‘Jjanga‘ as a motif for the lyrics and melody. You will be able to see Mamamoo having fun and enjoying themselves without clinging to past loves or things that have happened.
Mamamoo embodies a liberating dance track here. Solar and Hwasa have entrancing control of the refrain as it draws you in and encourages you to continue partying with the group. Wheein delivers her lines in a sassy and chic way that you can forget her soft side. Moonbyul, raps her self-written lines coolly and with ease, and I appreciate her parts had two differing tones. The chorus’ melody reminded me of R&B girl groups of the 1990’s, which gave a different kind of retro vibe (compared to their rookie funky-pop releases). Within the chorus, the line where the members sang in unison gives emphasis to the theme of letting everything go. Yet, I find the theme ironic when the arrangement and production of this song sounded like it was crafted carefully and intricately. I never would have thought the combination of reggaeton and this latin guitar riff would be tasteful. So this is a fun, colorful track that will make you move in any way as you please.
youtube
Check out ‘Jjanga‘ by Kim Gun Mo, who co-composed this track.
‘Waggy‘
Bossanova-style song that tickles your heart like a spring wind, and has witty lyrics. It’s a song that’s like listening to a friend who has fallen in love and can’t hide their heart fluttering excitement.
When the simple instrumentals started playing, I already had good feelings towards this song as it sounded upbeat and sweet. ‘Waggy’ really oozes fluttering affection, perfect for the spring season. The vocals are charming as they sing like a fresh breeze, and bounced to the rhythm like animated springing flowers. Mamamoo’s “beagle” humor could not be avoided as they added cute but subtle animal sounds throughout the song. The trumpet solo was a nice, classy touch that rides along the track’s wholesomeness. This quaint song was a little reminiscent to their similar, but more relaxing bossa nova track called ‘My Hometown’ (2016). It was nice to hear Mamamoo do this style of song again as it reminded listeners of their strength in making something a little old sound new while maintaining their boisterous group personality. You can definitely see this come to life as they performed ‘Waggy’ on music shows as they dressed up in various costumes and finding amusement out of Hwasa’s tsundere attitude.
youtube
‘25‘
…still clumsy at 25, missing her natural, pure younger days while still loving her own self now, a step closer to her dream by maturing strongly.
Since Wheein holds the color and wind symbol for this project, ‘25’ is the album’s obligatory solo track. Knowing her discography, Wheein is usually the one being featured, or has had a rapper feature on her tracks. It was nice to hear Wheein sound relaxed yet her serious effort was still prevalent. Even co-writing this song, ‘25’ gives listeners a chance to hear a personal, introspective side of Wheein. Besides the lyrics, the smoothness and steady groove of this song gives a sense of nostalgia, especially for those who grew up with ‘90s-early 2000s R&B. The simple arrangement of guitar and snap beats didn’t overshadow Wheein’s varying vocals as it expressed genuine gratitude. Mamamoo’s fanbase, or Moomoos, would find this track so obvious in style as they are familiar with her leaning towards R&B and soul. It’s a down-to-earth, chill song which acted as a nice break between the livelier songs throughout the album.
youtube
On the set of ‘You Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook’ .
Backstage at M Countdown.
‘Bad Bye‘
Pop slash R&B track that ardently expresses the painful feelings of not being able to accept an approaching breakup. As the farewell is too painful and bad, a ‘good bye’ is expressed as ‘bad bye’.
This song started off with sad piano notes and I assumed it would be Mamamoo’s classic pop-ballad like the way they performed on music show “Immortal Songs 2” or their diva-esque ‘I Miss You’ (2016). But the thought was immediately denied when the mid-tempo beat with brief pulsating synth high hats, rain drops as snaps, and deep basses came in. The vocals are strong throughout the song, even at their lowest, softest parts. The melody sounded distressing and reminiscent (again) of old-school pop slash R&B tracks of the early millennium. The arrangement briefly alters during Moonbyu’s first rap part, and I thought it was interesting how dark it felt. Overall, listeners can belt out their heartache with some rhythm and soul.
youtube
‘My star‘
It expresses ‘You are my star’ to someone who can’t be compared to anyone else. The heavy bass and trendy beat hit you powerfully.
A few seconds of the intro created a dramatic mood. Mamamoo is definitely right when they say that this song hits you hard, especially since the heavy bass drives the song. To match the heavy bass’ booming energy, the vocals had to sound mighty and confident as well. Solar’s tone fits perfectly for this, and Hwasa’s raspiness added some texture as it stands out more when reaching for those loud, high notes. The rap sounded gritty and flowed rhythmically well even though it was so brief. I kind of expected the bridge to be totally toned down, but there were spurts of the resonant notes (in the background) that tells me the energy was not going to be halted at any time. Kudos to Wheein who sprinkles the ending chorus with her falsettos. This song was very enjoyable and can uplift one’s mood.
youtube
‘4season (Outro)‘
It’s a song that brings Mamamoo’s ‘Four Seasons Four Color’ project into one. It has lyrics about each of the album themes, ‘moon, wind, flower, and sun’
This definitely ties up the ‘Four Seasons Four Colors’ project nicely. The arrangement felt warm and laid back, and it had me reminiscing of what Mamamoo tried to prove with this project for the past year. It’s parallel to their song ‘Paint Me’, but instead of talking about the colors they mention each season. Like how Mamamoo has described in their highlight medley, the outro encourages listeners and fans alike to continue on making memories with the group, which implied that just because the project is over, does not mean their musical ventures end.
youtube
Promoting to vote on M Countdown.
Promoting on Music Bank.
‘White Wind’ for the majority of the album reached the retro vibes in a way I did not expect. Rather than the funk and blues similar in their debut, Mamamoo took elements of 90s-2000s R&B pop and showed a more modernized confidence. It is a unique take of fusing old trends with the current trends of programmed music. I mostly enjoyed the diverse beats and production of this album, thanks to the magic provided by Cosmic Girl, and Rainbow Bridge World’s Cosmic Sound, Park Soo Wang, and hit maker CEO Kim Do Hoon. They were able to provide clean, vibrant backdrops while keeping Mamamoo’s vocals shining upfront. This EP also compiled the gists of previous albums: the freshness of spring like ‘Yellow Flower’, the bold and daring like ‘Red Moon’, and the chicness like ‘Blue;s’. Mixing these sounds gave Mamamoo more to paint with and it has produced vivid and entertaining tunes for any kind of listeners.

11 days that destroyed Miley and Liam
Less than two weeks after a carefully-worded statement hit the press declaring that Hollywood sweethearts Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus were separating, their attempt at keeping things amicable has been hit with a wrecking ball. It all started so respectfully. Our hearts were breaking from news that our favourite couple was on the rocks, but their press release offered plenty of hope that theyd one day reunite (again). Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time, a spokesman for Cyrus told People magazine on August 10. RELATED: Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworths pets post breakup RELATED: Miley Cyrus fired for buying Liam Hemsworth a penis cake RELATED: Miley Cyrus blasts cheating claims in a series of tweets Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is whats best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Sometime between then and now, something snapped between the two, and Hemsworth suddenly filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. So whats the real story behind this increasingly messy split?
media_cameraPlenty of people hoped the pair would work things out. Picture: Jesse Grant/Getty Images for Disney REUNION HOPES The original statement was a shock, but it didnt take a relationship expert to work out that theyd intentionally used soft language like separate at this time and lovingly taking this time apart. These are not the words of two people certain that they want to be apart forever and history told us they were prone to a bit of on/off action. Cyrus and Hemsworth met as young lovebirds on the set of The Last Song in 2009 and got engaged in 2012 before breaking up two years later.
media_cameraThey met as teenagers on the set of The Last Song. Then in 2016, they reunited with another engagement and secretly wed in December at Cyrus house in Franklin, Tennessee.
media_cameraThe couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at home. Picture: Instagram According to most reports, things quickly soured and Hemsworth and Cyrus separated in June, but had decided to keep their time apart low-key and respectful until it hit the press. Once it did everything changed. THOSE ITALIAN PHOTOS First, there were the photos of Cyrus, 26, kissing reality TV star Kaitlynn Carter, 30, during a PDA-heavy Italian jaunt.
media_cameraPhotos were released of Carter (left) and Cyrus kissing.
media_cameraHemsworth was said to be blindsided by news of the fling. The photos were released just hours after news broke of the separation, providing a jarring double-blow of a shock to fans and by many accounts, to Hemsworth himself, who was holed up with his brothers family in Byron Bay at the time. As the days rolled on and amid growing feverish speculation and whispers of infidelity, Hemsworth took the bold step of releasing a statement via Instagram. But from there, things took a nasty turn. THE BLAME GAME Suddenly, after weeks of staying quiet, sources from both camps were weaponised, hurtling barbs and thinly-veiled accusations at each other. Far from keeping us in the dark with their amicable and loving time apart, Cyrus and Hemsworth were via their sources increasingly trying to one-up each other in the blame game.
media_cameraCyrus posted a series of Instagram shots from Italy as news broke of the split. Given Cyrus occasionally wild past and the telling interview she gave with Elle in July, plenty of people assumed that a major factor in the split was her desire to revert back to her partying ways. I mean, do people really think that Im at home in a f***ing apron cooking dinner? I definitely dont fit into a stereotypical wife role. I dont even like that word, she told the magazine. PARTYING LIFESTYLE But as that narrative quickly began to form, TMZ published quotes attributed to a source on Cyrus side, insisting that it was actually the opposite. According to the outlet, the Malibu singer battled valiantly to save her and Hemsworths seven-month marriage but struggled to accept his heavy drinking and use of certain drugs a claim which he has since denied. People magazine also published a scathing story claiming that Cyrus had tried to kerb his partying and that he would lash out at her. Everyone always thinks Miley is problematic and immature and a hardcore partyer while hes this chill surfer dude, but thats actually (not accurate), People quoted a source as saying. That particular accusation may have eventually been drowned out amid all the other noise had it not been for the fact that just days later, Cyrus released a jaw-droppingly blunt song clearly aimed at Hemsworth.
media_cameraCyrus was back in the studio within days. Heres a snippet of Slide Away: I want my house in the hills Dont want the whiskey and pills I dont give up easily But I dont think Im down So wont you slide away Back to the ocean, Ill go back to the city lights Move on, were not 17 Im not who I used to be You say that everything changed Youre right, were grown now The message was clear: Cyrus wanted people to know it was Hemsworth, not she, who needed to grow up. [embedded content] IMMATURE STUNT But Team Hemsworth wasnt taking any of that lying down. It wasnt long before a friend of the Hunger Games star told Page Six that hed been blindsided and left heartbroken by the photos of his estranged wife and Carter. They are still married and they really did love each other. Shes really immature and always has been, a source said. One of Carters The Hills castmates, Brandon Thomas Lee, even weighed in on the drama, accusing the women of trying to mess with their exes (Carter also recently split from The Hills alum Brody Jenner). This whole is just so I dont know, I didnt want to even get involved with it, but it just seems so fake to me, Lee told E! News of Cyrus and Carters romance. Its just like, why? Theyre just obviously messing with their two ex-husbands. And theyre all friends! It just seems so ridiculous to me.
media_cameraJust a stunt? Picture: Instagram Page Six also claimed that people close to Hemsworth had revealed that Cyrus sources had been working overtime to paint (him) as the problem and that he was hurt by the coverage. Liam is one of the kindest, gentlest people out there. Him being wild or drunk or deadbeat is absolutely ridiculous, the source said, adding that the booze claims are 100 per cent a distraction from Cyrus alleged infidelity. MAKING IT PERMANENT Exactly eleven days after announcing their tentative separation, Hemsworth hired famed lawyer Laura Wasser and abruptly filed for divorce from Cyrus. Liam is just done with it. There is no turning back and he knows he wants to move on, E! News quoted an insider as saying. They have not had a lot of communication. There is nothing to say. So what made him break things off for good? Slide Away cant have helped, nor would reports of Cyrus basically having sex with Carter at an LA club last week. Either way, the events of the past couple of weeks flipped the relationship from separated at this time- to dead in the water. MILEY HITS OUT Perhaps it was the shock at his sudden filing that made Cyrus finally flip or maybe she was just desperate to finally defend herself publicly but after that, the words came tumbling out via a lengthy Twitter thread. I can accept that the life Ive chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time, she began. What I cannot accept is being told Im lying to cover up a crime I havent committed. I have nothing to hide.
media_cameraThe singer denied the cheating claims. Picture: Instagram I f**ked up and cheated in relationships when I was young, she wrote. But the truth is, once Liam & I reconciled, I meant it, & I was committed. There are NO secrets to uncover here. Ive learned from every experience in my life. Im not perfect, I dont want to be, its boring. Ive grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP. I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. Ive said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will. WHAT NOW? The only good news out of the situation is that the couple had a prenup, and with no requests for spousal support, the divorce should be finalised quickly a rarity in Hollywood. The agreement reportedly outlines a clear separation of their profits during the marriage, with both Cyrus and Hemsworth retaining the homes they individually purchased. Unfortunately for all the hopeless romantics following the Hemsworth/Cyrus love story over the past decade unlike other times, this breakup is likely to stick. Think about it: Cyrus and Hemsworth called off their engagement and split up back in 2013, but managed to maintain mutual respect and affection publicly in the years that followed prior to their eventual reunion. This time? Not so much and divorce has a finality to it that rarely offers a point of return.
Morgan's OUATCHI adventure (that literally nobody asked for)
Hey, guys!
SO I am still very much fangirling over all the things that happened this weekend, so I'm gonna make a post about it 😊
Adventures under the cut!
After @starslikesatellites and I got to the hotel on Thursday, we met up with @jennifer-morrison and @outlaw-queen and got dinner. I'm just gonna get it out the way now and just say how awesome these ladies are. The con definitely would not have been as fun without them and I'm so happy I got a chance to get to know them. We also befriended Danika (who is not on Tumblr) and we jokingly referred to her as our "con mom". She was super sweet and I just loved our little convention squad so much ❤️
Friday definitely turned out to be a lot more amazing than I expected! Michael Coleman started off the convention by singing a bunch of Disney medleys and it was so cute. After that was Gil McKinney's panel, and he sang quite a bit this weekend! His voice is honestly incredible. And his panel was so sweet and he talked about he wished he could have been in more episodes and how he liked doing scenes with Joanna. When I got his autograph later, I asked him if he ever thought about doing Broadway and he said he loves theater, but he doesn’t want to move to NYC.
I didn't see any of the other panels that day (probably because I was hungry and/or tired), but D was like "we should do karaoke for the party tonight!" and we were like "sure!"
When we got there and I took in the scene, I realized that the cast members would be singing WITH US and I was SO SHOOK. We sang "Sugar, We're Going Down" by Fall Out Boy and Gil sang with us while Michael danced with his daughter on stage. Afterwards, Gil told us it was "good shit" and that we picked a great song and hugged all of us! Beverly Elliot was also there and she told us we sounded amazing 😭
Later when Gil was singing, Connor cheered really loud for him and HE HEARD HER AND HE MADE THIS EXACT FACE -
- followed by cutest smile ever. Also, when I tweeted about it later, Gil liked my tweet and Michael Coleman said we were rockstars and that we made his weekend!
So that was Friday! Saturday started bright and early with a photo op with Colin! It went by very quick, but he was very sweet and asked how Connor and I were doing and thanked us afterwards. After that, it was his panel with Lana and I actually managed to ask them a question! I was the one who asked about their favorite plot twists on the show. When Lana answered, she kind of looked out to the general audience BUT WHEN COLIN ANSWERED, HE LOOKED DIRECTLY AT ME FOR THE ALMOST THE ENTIRE TIME AND I WAS NOT PREPARED. And his answer made me smile because his favorite plot twists just so happened to be favorites as well ;)
After that, I got Colin’s autograph! The girl in front of me had him sign adorable CS art and he said “Aww, look at this!” in such a cute voice! Colin continued to be his sweet self and he put a personalized message on the autograph I got (which I will reveal at a later point in time because I got it for someone else and I haven’t given it to them yet!).
After getting his autograph, it was time for Emilie’s panel! The room was packed for her and a lot of people asked her questions and it made me super happy. She was so adorable in her panel! After her, it was Colin’s panel! He seemed a bit nervous at first being in front of so many people, but he did such a great job answering questions. When his panel ended, I decided to go downstairs to check to see if my photo op had printed yet...and Colin was just there? Like I was walking by and he opened the door and popped his head out and my sister and I did a double take hahaha. We talked very briefly - I said hi and thanked him for being here and he said “Thank you so much!” :)
After that little surprise, Connor and I went to Emilie’s private meet and greet! This was honestly the best part of my weekend. She was so real and sweet and real and I can’t believe it happened? AND SHE SAT NEXT TO ME THE WHOLE TIME AND I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF THAT I KEPT MY CHILL.
Connor’s favorite princess has always been Belle, so naturally she’s a big Emilie fan. After the meet and greet ended, Emilie kinda lingered a bit and talked with us some more and I almost started crying because my sister is my best friend and I love her so much and she deserves good things and to see her meet one of her favorite actresses and to see how sweet Emilie was with her...it just made my heart burst. I always was an Emilie fan, but I love her so much more now that my sister and I got to spend 30 minutes with her.
OH AND EMILIE POSTED THE GROUP PIC OF HER AND EVERYONE IN THE MEET AND GREET AND I AM STILL SO SHOOK TO THE CORE ABOUT THIS.
Once the meet and greet ended, we got autographs with Emilie, Lana, Lee, Keegan, and Karen. When we got to Lana, se saw our names on our post-its and asked us “Are you guys Morgan and Connor?” and I said, “Yup! My dad gave all of his daughters unisex names on purpose.” And then Lana said “Oh, that’s cool! Is there a Charlie in your family?” And Connor and I were like -
BECAUSE THAT IS LITERALLY WHAT I AM GOING TO NAME MY FIRST DAUGHTER. And we told her that and we had a laugh about it.
Keegan was a total sweetheart! When she signed autographs, she drew a little wand on every picture. When she was signing my sister’s pic, she drew the wand in gold, and I was like, “Oh cute! You got a different colored wand!” And then Keegan was like “WAIT” and she took my picture back and added gold sparkles to my wand :’)
Karen was super nice when we met her! She made out my autograph to “Queen Morgan” and I was like “QUEEN?” and she said, “Yes, dear! I’m a princess, I know royalty when I see it!” and I giggled like an idiot.
Lee and I had a nice conversation about family, we both talked about our dads, and he talked about his kids.
AND THEN, WE WENT ON TO EMILIE. When we got to her, I was like “Wow, long time no see!” and she laughed and said, “I know, right? Feels like it’s been years!” Connor had her sign her Belle music box and Emilie was really enchanted by it. When Connor mentioned how the box played “Beauty and the Beast” and had a little dancing Belle when the box was opened, Emilie wound up the box and listened to it and got the biggest smile on her face. She asked us where we got it and we told her at Disney in Orlando. Then she told us, “I’ve seen so much Belle merchandise over the years, but I have never seen this! I need to get one for Vera!” THEN Connor gave her some artwork that she made! She painted the chipped cup with the quote “the best tea cup is chipped” and she stayed up all night painting it and she was so nervous and shaking, but of course, Emilie loved it and told Connor she was a good artist. I’m honestly so surprised Connor didn’t die this weekend haha. After that, we went to the concert and then called it a night.
Sunday started off with a panel of Bex, Victoria, and Jaime. And I was cracking up the entire time, THEY WERE HILARIOUS.
Then we went to Bex’s solo panel, AND SHE STARTED OFF BY SINGING THE ENTIRETY OF “WICKED ALWAYS WINS” AND I FREAKED OUT SO HARD. SHE SOUNDED AMAZING GUYS AND I CAN’T BELIEVE I GOT TO WITNESS IT. And the rest of her panel was just as great. She’s so entertaining.
After her panel, we got a photo op with her and once it came out, I posted it on twitter with “when the whole squad looks good” AND SHE LIKED IT AND I WAS SO BLESSED. And later we got a photo with her and Victoria and they were so fun and such good sports with everyone’s poses (mine included haha).
The last thing we did for the con was getting Bex’s autograph. D got in line in front of me and she was having Bex sign her photo with her, Nel, and Victoria. When Bex was thinking about what to write on the picture I was like “Squad goals!” and she said, “Oh my god, I was literally about to write that! We’re so twinning right now!” and she wrote “Squad goals AF!” on D’s pic. When it was my turn, I told her how much I loved the Wizard of Oz as a kid, and I never expected to love the Wicked Witch, but she made that possible. Then she said, “And look at us now!” and I said “character development!” and she laughed. She then wrote “#SquadGoals” on my picture with her and I died :)
So yeah, that was pretty much my weekend! I had the best time, honestly. I love all of my new con friends so much and I know I’ll keep these memories for the rest of my life. Thanks for putting up with my shenanigans this weekend <3

1. Chaka Khan was “pissed” when she heard Kanye West‘s 2004 song “Through the Wire.” Grammy-winning Khan said she gave West, 42, the rights to sample her 1984 song “Through the Fire,” but felt duped because their conversations went “very differently than the song turned out.” Khan, 66, said on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” that the rapper tugged at her heartstrings with a story about how her music helped him recover from a serious car accident in 2002. Khan added that if she knew West had planned to speed up her vocals, she would’ve said “hell no” to him using the track — despite her making money off the sample. The “I’m Every Woman” singer said she never spoke to the rapper about her disapproval, but rather “gave him silence.”
2. The first official trailer for the new Charlie's Angels movie was released on Thursday morning and it's packed with action scenes. The clip begins with the film's biggest star, Kristen Stewart, on the job in a pink sequined dress and a big blonde wig. The film - which is written and produced by Elizabeth Banks - will be released on November 15, 2019 in the US. According to the press release for the trailer, 'Banks directs the next generation of Angels – Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska – working for the mysterious Charles Townsend.
3. Multiple threads have gone viral comparing Lizzo's popular Boy lyrics to adorable pictures of both dogs and lizards — and the trend even has the singer's stamp of approval. The new trend was first made popular by Twitter user Zach Price, who decided to take the second verse of Lizzo's song Boys and compare each line to that of lizards. In the song, the 31-year-old singer addressed the types of boys in her life that she was interested in and basically stated she wouldn't discriminate against any type of man. Lizzo's lyrics read: 'I like big boys, itty bitty boys / Mississippi boys, inner city boys / I like the pretty boys with the bow tie / Get your nails did, let it blow dry / I like a big beard, I like a clean face / I don't discriminate, come and get a taste / From the playboys to the gay boys / Go and slay, boys, you my fave boys.' These lyrics sparked the new meme trend, with Twitter user Zach Price first comparing each word to a lizard. His Twitter thread, which has been shared more than 28,000 times, featured a wide selection of lizards in different poses and locations to fit the lyrics. For 'itty bitty boys', Zach shared a picture of a tiny lizard, while later sharing a picture of a lizard against a Pride Flag backdrop for 'the gay boys' moment in the song. He even tossed in a picture of Geico's animated gecko to illustrate Lizzo's lyric for 'a clean face' man. The new meme caught the attention of Lizzo, who implored her followers to read the hilarious and clever take on her lyrics.
4. Corey Bohan doesn’t think Spencer Pratt‘s jokes about his daughter are funny. The 37-year-old Australian actor called out Pratt, 35, on his private Instagram for comments “The Hills: New Beginnings” star made about Kirra Max, his 3-year-old with Audrina Patridge, E! News reports. “You can say whatever filth you want about YOUR family, cast-mates or even myself but I draw the line when it comes to MY daughter,” Bohan reportedly captioned a photo of his middle finger. “Kirra is an innocent three year old child.” He added that Pratt’s remarks were “vile and disgusting,” and that the reality star shouldn’t use Bohan’s family to keep his “name in headlines.”
5. Their wedding is just two days away but their costars are already pouring into Kentucky. Jax Taylor, 39, and Brittany Cartwright, 30, are keeping busy entertaining family and friends ahead of their June nuptials. Their cast mates started flying in to Kentucky from LA and shared Instagram stories of their journey.
6. TLC just released the first preview trailer for 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days Season 3, which includes 47-year-old Rebecca from Canton, Georgia and her hunky 26-year-old Tunisian beau Zied. Their scene in the trailer features Zied getting very angry with Rebecca after she reveals to him that she is still married. The couple’s official bio: “Rebecca has three kids and three failed marriages, including one to a Moroccan man she brought to America on a spouse visa, but she’s ready to try again.”
7. 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After couple Ashley and Jay continue to make a mockery of their show’s title as their dysfunctional show of a marriage continues to implode. In the latest development, Ashley has officially been charged with Simple Assault and Criminal Mischief (intentionally damaging real or personal property of another) for an incident on May 31. The Simple Assault charge is a misdemeanor, and the Criminal Mischief charge is listed a a summary offense, which is a step below misdemeanor. During a one-hour-plus live session, both Ashley and Jay state that Ashley came over to his apartment while drunk. “Yes, I threw a f***ing fire extinguisher through his window,” Ashley admits.
8. Colt Johnson and Larissa Dos Santos Lima had an epically dysfunctional seven-month marriage. Colt filed for divorce after Larissa’s third arrest for domestic battery. She quickly debuted a new man, Eric Nichols, in February well before they finalized their divorce on April 1st. Meanwhile, Colt filled his Instagram pages with inspirational quotes and pictures of his cats. Until now.Earlier this week, Colt shared a photo with a mystery red-head. They are sitting in his car and holding hands. Presumably, Colt’s mom Debbie Johnson took the photo from the back seat. In Touch Weekly reported on the flirty photo and some of her social media posts. According to the Facebook group 90 Day Fiance: Uncensored, a woman named Jess came forward as Colt’s girlfriend and justified the relationship. She wrote, “we are together for a while and only now the news are out there. [Those] who know me [know] that I’m chill and have good intentions. Wanna kiss girls? Do it. I’m with him because I want and because he wants.” Larissa posted some encouraging words for the new couple on reality TV blogger John Yate’s Instagram page. She wrote, “wishing happiness for them.”
9. Here’s The Video For Cazwell’s “I Love You,” Featuring Ricky Roman - https://youtu.be/gCNhOIi1uz0
10. Just three days ago, gay porn star Collin Simpson revealed on Twitter that he’d be retiring from his work as a GayHoopla performer due to a drug addiction, admitting, “I have been struggling with addiction for the last few months…I’m currently in the process of getting help, but it’s too little too late.” Tonight, Collin Simpson took to Twitter again to tell fans that he’d be doing a live webcam show on Chaturbate, but that show was abruptly shut down after approximately 90 minutes, when live show viewers say that Simpson was “getting so high on crystal…he looked like he was going to die.” One viewer sent in screencaps of Simpson during the broadcast—right after he allegedly “snorted crystal meth”—in which he appears extremely disoriented and not well. The first 50 minutes of the live show are what you would normally see in a live show, with Simpson chatting with fans, smiling, showing off his body, and masturbating. He appears relatively congenial (as seen above) and in good spirits. But, after the 58-minute mark, things change dramatically. After returning from the bathroom, Simpson goes off camera into an area of the room behind his camera and computer. You can then hear Simpson rummaging through unknown items, the sound of a lighter flicking multiple times, and the sound of something being inhaled and exhaled several times. This repeats at least three times (the lighter flicking, and then the inhaling/exhaling), then Simpson walks back in front of the camera and sits down for about a minute. His face is only visible for a few seconds, but he appears sluggish and not well. Then, Simpson goes off camera again, and we again hear the lighter flicking and inhaling, as well as a loud, metallic tapping sound. Simpson then returns to his seat on camera for a final time—for the last six minutes of the live stream—and he is completely incoherent, speaking nonsensically, arms waving in the air, and looking as if he’s about to pass out. Simpson—whose eyes are now closed the entire time—is also seen scratching his chest, abdomen, face, and arms repeatedly. Before the stream cuts off, Simpson places his hands in front of his face and lowers his head. Unlike some of the initial reactions and comments from viewers, Str8UpGayPorn doesn’t believe that Simpson did methamphetamine during the live stream, as his behavior didn’t resemble that of someone on meth. Based on the sounds that were heard and his appearance and behavior immediately after those sounds, it is clear that he ingested something and was dangerously intoxicated, however.Simpson’s Chaturbate account was banned right after the stream cut off, likely after viewers reported what they were seeing.

Silverwood: The Door — Writers Roundtable Interview

Interview Alana Joli Abbott
Serial Box
Oct 4, 2018
In 2012, Silverwood debuted on Black Box TV, the most subscribed and most watched sci-fi/horror channel on YouTube. Part science fiction, part horror, and all entertaining, Silverwood is an anthology series of a small California town where strange and supernatural things happen.
Called "unique, chilling" on The 7th Matrix and "spine-tingling" by the New York Post, the series is making the move from streaming-screen to serial prose in Serial Box’s Silverwood: The Door, the first episode of which launches on October 4, 2018.
Like other Serial Box titles, Silverwood: The Door is the result of a collaboration of a writing team; in addition to creative guidance from creator and director Tony E. Valenzuela, the team is led by novelist and comic writer Brian Keene (also the brain behind The Horror Show with Brian Keene podcast), joined by Richard Chizmar, Stephen Kozeniewski, and the Sisters of Slaughter, Michelle Garza and Melissa Lason.
"When the series ended in 2013, I felt like I had only barely scratched the surface of what made Silverwood a place, ‘where dreams come true and nightmares begin,’” Tony told Den of Geek. “It’s been both exciting and intimidating to return to Silverwood in 2018 with a single goal in mind, namely give Silverwood the story it deserves.”
Silverwood: The Door takes place after the YouTube series, which ended with the town being nearly wiped off the map. The prose series, Tony describes, is “thematically more about what remains years after the familiar has fallen away and darkness has taken root—kinda like that scene from Twin Peaks where Laura Palmer is attacked by her father in that cozy, pink bedroom of hers—minus the cozy, pink bedroom.”
The rebirth of the series in the prose format has allowed the team to bring back some of the screen characters, exploring their characters in greater depth, and expand on the original setting.
“Because Silverwood has its own inherent mythos, we wanted to stay true to continuity, so the events from the YouTube series and the graphic novel tie in to our prose series,” Brian elaborated. “But at the same time, we wanted to make it one hundred percent accessible to readers who have never watched Silverwood or read the comic book.” Readers can expect a return to some of the original themes, as well as the promise of “some Lovecraftian monstrosities lurking in the forests,” according to Stephen.
Serial Box producer Lydia Shamah originally approached Brian to become the showrunner for the series, and together they created a list of writers they wanted to work with.
“When I caught wind from various hints on social media that Brian was putting together a team for a major upcoming project.... I thought to myself, ‘Please, please, please, pick me, pick me, pick me’ but also, ‘Nah, Brian knows everybody worth their salt in this industry, there's no way he'll pick a neophyte like me.’” Stephen described. “So I was just shocked and pleased when I got the call from Serial Box that they wanted to invite me aboard.”
The Sisters of Slaughter were also nervous about working on a team of best-sellers. “When we sat down at the writing table that fear was dashed away because Brian is not only a great writer and super nice guy, he’s also a great teacher,” they described.
Richard was a bit wary of the team aspect of the writing, but ended up really enjoying working with the other writers. “I learned a lot and ended up feeling a real sense of renewal when it came to my own writing,” he explained. “Working with Brian, Tony, Lydia, Stephen, Michelle, and Melissa was a treat. They brought so much good energy to the table, not to mention wonderful ideas, fine writing, and a complete lack of ego.”
In honor of both the launch of the new serial and the coming Halloween season, the creative team sat down with Den of Geek to answer some questions and talk shop about what readers can expect, and the types of surprises they should prepare for...
Den of Geek: Were any of you fans of the original Silverwood YouTube series right from the start?
Richard: I was not, but as the others involved with Silverwood: The Door can attest to—remember the Siri incident, guys?—I’m not very up to date when it comes to modern technology (if YouTube can even be considered that). Anyway, I wish I had been a fan from the start. I missed a very cool show and the work of an immensely talented writer/director… until recently, that is.
Brian: My oldest son was, and it was one of those things I meant to watch when I got time—but my list of movies to watch and books to read when I get time pretty much has its own zip code at this point. So, it wasn't until Serial Box approached me about showrunning the series that I finally watched it. I don't know why the hell I waited so long!
Stephen: Being notably younger than Brian, I was, of course, familiar with Tony's work.
Brian: Watch your mouth kid, or you'll find yourself floating home.
Stephen: That's a quote from some old movie, right? Anyway, highest marks go to "The Hunger" from the original Silverwood for me. When we got to the writer's retreat one of the first things I asked was whether I could do the "red meat" episode.
Sisters of Slaughter: We had seen a few of the Silverwood episodes but hadn’t watched them all until we were asked to be a part of the writing team. We were so excited by the material that we almost couldn’t believe our luck to get to continue the storyline. It had such a Twilight Zone feel to it that it was as if we were making one of our dreams come true to work on such a project.
Speaking of The Twilight Zone, Silverwood has been described as the heir of shows like The Twilight Zone, Tales from the Crypt, and Tales from the Dark Side. Silverwood: The Door has added inspirations like X-Files and Twin Peaks to the mix. How much will readers feel the impact of those screen-told stories?
Tony: All the shows you mentioned place most of their stories within towns or settings that appear, at first, to be populated mostly by friendly, familiar tropes. The 50s pin-up beauty, the FBI agent, the scenic country road forever leading to a quaint wish-I-lived-here-town. What gave these show their bite was their ability to deftly switch focus to things happening outside their well-lit edges and deeper within their twilight zones.
Richard: I think the oddball storytelling, plotting, and characterizations of Twin Peaks and the small town setting with huge implications set against a worldwide government conspiracy of The X-Files all play a significant role in Silverwood: The Door. That’s the cool thing about it: it’s a mash-up of a lot of different genres, but a really cohesive and (hopefully) addictive story.
Brian: The beauty of every one of those shows is how it utilized all aspects of the horror genre. Cosmic horror, splatterpunk, quiet horror, supernatural, slashers, science-fiction horror, weird fantasy... everything. We've strived to do the same thing with this new series. It explores all corners of the horror genre, weaving them into one tale.
As we’re approaching both the launch of Silverwood: The Door and Halloween... what are your favorite things about this time of year?
Richard: Pretty much everything. The cooling weather and the changing of the trees and the different scents in the autumn air. I feel invigorated during the fall, more alive in spirit, and it puts me in a wonderful frame of mind when it comes to creating new stories.
Brian: Taking my ten-year old trick or treating.
Stephen: Ooh, so much. Dressing up as a ten-year old so I can hold hands with Brian comes to mind. But Autumn also brings thoughts of apple picking, haunted hayrides, going to the Renaissance Faire, and, of course, watching Rocky Horror.
Tony: I’ve been a huge Ray Bradbury fan since the age of eleven, and this time of year always reminds me of The October Game and Something Wicked This Way Comes. I’m hoping one day I might see Cooger & Dark's Pandemonium Shadow Show roll into Echo Park. Fingers crossed.
What are your scariest Halloween memories from your childhood?
Richard: Watching horror movies on television with my friends. Walking around in the dark taking turns telling stories and scaring each other. Trick or treating at the Myer’s House, our local neighborhood haunted house. The simple pleasures of being a kid on the spookiest night of the year.
Tony: I’ve always loved Halloween. It’s a time when people publicly get to show the thing they privately want to be. It’s wonderful.
Sisters of Slaughter: Our Halloween memories weren’t super scary, except maybe for the time our uncle took us out to go trick-or-treating and he wasn’t cool with the amount of people who turned their lights off and refused to hand out candy so he went beating on people’s doors demanding they toss treats into our pillow cases. We weren’t concerned with monsters attacking us or anything supernatural, more that we were going to get shot. Hahaha. That was the last Halloween he was allowed to take us collecting candy.
Stephen: There was always that one guy that had to dress as a scarecrow and sit stock still on his front porch in a rocking chair. Then he'd leap at you and your parents would laugh at you and the guy would laugh at you and you'd die a little bit inside.
Brian: No scary Halloween memories for me. Just happy ones.

I was just blown away by this book! I loved how unique it was with the paranormal aspects and the adventures the characters endured. Man, all I wanted was more! As many may know because of my recent post, I have been experiencing a trauma. Well this story gave me the ability to escape from my current reality and have some fun. The characterization is fantastic and had a great plot. Even though this story was unique and filled with adventures that we probably could never face, I felt that I could relate to the characters and felt that reading this story made a fun new reality that I didn’t want to leave.
Even though this story is the second novel in the series, it definitely can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend this book and I am so glad I received the opportunity to read this Must Read!

Kiltie grew up in Glasgow in Scotland. This is a very unique city with a very unique way of looking at life.
When she was old enough to do so, she moved to London and then, after several years of obtaining interesting experiences -which are finding their way into her writing – she moved up to the Midlands.
Kiltie currently lives in Staffordshire with five cats and one grumpy husband. Her little home is known as Moggy Towers, even though despite having plenty of moggies, there are no towers!
The cats kindly allow her and Mr Mogs to share their house on the condition they keep paying the mortgage!
She loves reading, watching movies, and visiting old castles. She really dislikes going to the gym!
Her biggest desire is that one day she can give up the day job and write her stories for a living.
Kiltie’s debut novel, ‘A Rock ‘n’ Roll Lovestyle’, was released in September 2017 and won a “Chill With A Book – Reader Award” in December 2017.
She first began writing her debut novel eleven years before it was released but shelved it as she didn’t think it was very good.
In November 2016 when, having read more on a best-selling author who had begun her own career as a self-published author, she was inspired to revisit the unfinished manuscript and finally finish what she had started.
Since beginning to write again, the ideas have not stopped flowing. ‘An Artisan Lovestyle’ is the second book in the Lovestyle Series.
Work is due to begin on book three (not yet titled but also part of the Lovestyle Series) in the Summer of 2018.
She currently has a further ten plots and ideas stored in her file (it’s costing a fortune in USB drives as each story has its own memory stick!) and the ideas still keep on coming.
Kiltie now lives her life around the following three quotes: “I love having weird dreams, they’re great fodder for book plots!” “Why wait for your ship to come in when you can swim out to meet it?” “Old enough to know better, young enough not to care!”
