who's your favorite (kpop) mv production house? for me it's between rigend film and film by team! rigend's work is so iconic and instantly recognizable there are times where i've watched music videos and went "ah rigend made this" off the editing alone. on the other hand, film by team's work with the boyz and 2018 nct has taken permanent residency in my brain, especially stuff like 127's irregular office and the boyz's identity film.
probably rigend? they've done the most things that i like just by percentage probably, but i don't really pay attention to the overall production house that much, since i mostly look for who the art directors and set designers are (and stylists lol)! my fave is ok shin; he does a host of sm work including doing the set design and/or art direction for gasoline, bad love, advice, dftf, savage, next level, queendom, wayv regular, ngda acts i & ii, better, mmmh, good evening, plus a bunch of other non-sm artists, like ateez guerrilla, hyuna good girl, ateez answer, lay lit, sunmi pporappippam, yena smiley, and like a thousand others.
#that mf works SO much its actually crazy i wish i were him#he does all the set dec for the big sm collab projects too like nct2020/2021 and smtown#i tend to look mostly for staff rather than production houses bc the staff are the ones actually executing the work#like i follow a person who exclusively does set painting for kpop mvs lol#and someone who does exclusively floral arrangements too#also staff move between production houses too#kpop design#media recs#text#answers

the 2004 movie doesn't change much from the musical but it still feels so much worse
That is the power of directing. There are small differences between some of the stage productions and choices like actor interpretation and directing can make a huge difference as to how we experience the show. I have seen productions that made me totally get why some people ship Erik x Christine and some where the actors play Erik so aggressive and Christine so meek that I can't fathom it. In the 25th anniversary recording idk what they did with Raoul but there's such a distinct lack of warmth or tenderness for Christine that I find myself not wanting them to end up together vs the original recording where Steve Barton is affectionate and kind in his gestures and tone of voice when he speaks to Sarah Brightman. Direction and casting can make a world of difference and nearly every choice made for the 2004 film was completely wrong and even seemingly small changes have a massive impact. I'm not going to talk about Gerard Butler's singing or the lack of significant deformity, there's nothing I can add to that conversation. Casting an actress as young as Emmy Rossum to play in a love triangle between two men in their 30's was a bad decision because there are shots where she seems especially childish and I can't get past the notion that I'm looking at someone who should be in high school. Then there's the decision to show a scene of Erik approaching Christine while she's still a child when it's implied he's only a few years younger than Madam Giry. The dates on the gave stone that imply she's only 16 and....I really want to give the benefit of the doubt and say it's an oversight but the age of the actress and the scene of her as a literal child when she first hears Erik are just too much for me to handwave as "someone made a typo somewhere" the scene where we see some of Erik's backstory where they put him in a sideshow as a small child and he goes directly from childhood to living in the paris opera (How then, did he help BUILD the opera house? Why does he still have the punjab lasso if he's never been outside of Paris? This creates so many plot holes it's ridiculous) and there is some really really uncomfortable, even offensive depictions of Romani people. Carlotta is always meant to sound overblown and unpleasant and sometimes even shrill to the audience but they go the route of emphasizing her as an in-universe bad singer whom no one likes. Minnie Driver does her best to make the role entertaining and she's easily the best thing in the movie but she could not salvage it. The managers also with their stupid "Scrap Metal" running gag, Joel Schuemacher and ALW are determined to make everyone look as stupid and incompetent as possible. Piangi has a little person who mimes him for some reason? It's like they were really adamant that no one be taken seriously except the main cast. Personal opinion but I feel like moving the chandelier crash from the end of act 1 to the climax of the film doesn't work. I guess the "Disaster beyond imagination" Erik talks about was limited to him killing Joseph Bouquet but without that dramatic chandelier fall after the rooftop scene it losses something and undercuts how much of a legitimate threat Erik actually is and how much the staff should fear him because the implication is that despite the dead body dangling from the rafters the managers managed to get things back under control and finish out the performance. Seemingly small changes but they all have a big impact and whatever issues I have with the stage version they are 100 x worse in the movie adaptation and better casting could not have saved the film.

FNAF Fan-made | Five Night's at The Owl House Studio and Entertainment | AU
"Five Night’s at The Owl House Studio and Entertainment" abbreviated, "FNaTOHS&E" is a Five Night’s at Freddy’s inspired Universe between The Owl House. The concept of this is, instead of voice actors- the series is filmed with animatronics and certain props.
| Location's Within The Owl House Studio Universe |
The Owl House Studio and Entertainment (2016-2020)
The Owl House Studio and Entertainment Facility, or also just known as, The Owl House Studio and Entertainment, is a Animated Television Filming Studio, mixed with children entertainment. It is built and station in Obion County, Union City, Tennessee. The Primary mascot and figurehead of The Owl House Studio and Entertainment is Luz Noceda, accompanied by her showmates, consisting of Hunter, King Clawthorne, and Amity Blight.
When the drawing board was being done, the Company was originally going to be a Diner or an Adventure Park. The ideal spark of becoming an Animated Television Studio business came a little time later when the founder- James Summers, realized how many diner places already have animatronics.
Coming up with the designs of the four main animatronics (Luz Noceda, Amity Blight, Hunter, and London). Early iteration of Luz Noceda was created and designed to help with the development of the programming and coding- London (King's early iteration) was soon canceled from the project and a new design counterpart was created; soon to be King.
James partnered up with his college classmate Nathan Carpenter, who was an robotic engineer - which is the inspiration, Mr. Summers got the idea of Amity becoming an "Abomination Engineer" in the epilogue.
James and Natan made a public account where they would publish their storyboards and short videos of storyboard-drawn motion pictures. Within a half-a-year; 1994, Walt Disney Animation Studios caught wind of the storyboards and grew interested in their idea of creating a series. A contract built and signed by both sides; starting a partnership and a way to build their project. Walt Disney Animation Studios gave Mr. Summers and Hayden a 'Business Starting Fund' to begin construction of the Studio.
James and Nathan both lived in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee which they both believed was too small to start their business, after a few months searching for suitable cities to move to, they discovered Union City. The City Mayor agreed to having their company built in his/her city, signing an agreement and a contract with the city. in mid 1995, the two families moved to Union City, Tennessee to start construction of the 48-acre building.
The blueprints of the Studio ended up being a single-story, with four separate buildings: the first building being the Main Building- which has, the Main Entrance Lobby, a Snack/Food Bar, an Electric Room, a Prize Room, two Arcade Halls, a few restrooms, the Security Office, a Parts and Service Room, The Editing/Revising Lab, and the Main Recording Set Area. The Second building being the Secondary Animatronic Containment Storage- which would store all the other animatronics which are 'minor' characters of the series. The third building being the Supply/Containment Storage and Loading Dock Section- which would be where all the props, merchandise, and even frozen foods would be stored properly; along with where the delivery trucks would drop off the supplies. The fourth and final building would be a bit smaller than the other buildings; which would be the Workshop. This is where Mr. Summers and Mr. Carpenter would brainstorm new studio ideas and storyboard them for the Animatronics to perform the scenes.
The Animatronics are also known to have their own rooms - which is down a secret hall that only the Staff, employee's and the Animatronics are known to. The hall is called "The Lounge Hall".
When the studio was starting up and beginning production, Nathan Carpenter hired her sister-in-law; Kailey Lakewood, to become the Animatronic Chief Officer- which she would be in charge of the Animatronics and in charge of putting in service orders for the Animatronics. Throughout college, Kailey was obsessed with the thought of the paranormal, and even possession activity. Working around Animatronics, it sparked her interest back up and she producted an "experience" to extract an substance what is called "remnant" which created from agony from an individual. This is the motion to her act of the "Four Missing Children Incident".
Events soon followed behind from Kailey's act. From "The Bite of 2019", to the Paranormal Activities during the night at the Studio. The Owl House Studio and Entertainment Facility soon became the infamous business within the city, which caused many people to move out of the city; or even avoid the part of the city that the Studio is in. Numbers of guests visiting the Studio during 'Open Public Hours' started to decrease at a slow, by fair pace.
The "New-and-Improved" Owl House Studio and Entertainment (2022-2025)
A year following the first Studio closing, James and Nathan decided to re-open as a refurbished building and new technology and program systems in the Animatronics- Criminal Database, Suspicious Alarms, ect. The "new-and-improved" Owl House Studio and Entertainment Facility opened around the late period before Season 2 ended. Once the series were finished, the City attempted to put the company out of business, however couldn't go through with the action due to the active contract with Walt Disney Animation Studios. The Company was put on a "Do Not Demolition" Order by the Local Government due to the 'still up' Contract. After two years of the Series being finished, the Contract started to get loosened up, due to Walt Disney Company not wanting to do anymore business with Owl Entertainment Inc.
The Owl House Studio: Horror Attraction and Museum (2038-2039)
Around 13 years following the Studios' closure, Owl Entertainment Inc. decided to honor the tales and rumors of the Studio by opening a Horror Attraction, and even a Museum- showcasing all the old props, including the deactivated Animatronics from "both" locations.
The Owl Cafe (2057-2059)
It is now 32 years following the Studio closing their doors The Owl Cafe is it's the first restaurant-themed setting as the others are Studio Filming/Entertainment Establishments. Owl Entertainment gained a new owner- going under Owl Entertainment LLC.
A few Employee's were assigned to head to the burn wreckage of the Horror Attraction/Museum place where they were to try to salvage what they could, but they couldn’t find anything due to everything being burnt from the fire. However, the employees were forced to return to the old rubbles and debris where the building once was a second time to thoroughly go through the burnt remains to shockingly find a polished wired glass (which is fire proof glass) jar that had withstood the major flames and contained what appeared to be four different glowing hues of spiritual essence “Remnant” - along with a flash drive. The staff took it back to the current establishment which it was unknowably installed the said remnant into the newly made animatronics thinking that it would assist with their programming.
The flash drive was plugged into the main system computer which started to glitch the system and download a virus to all the electronic devices around the restaurant over the night; without anyone noticing. The business was opened in July 2057, and the restaurant went on without a hitch and was able to thrive for two more year's until- in late 2059 a bite with one of the newer original models: Mocha Cappuccino, bit a customer due to a drink spill that went into the mechanic wires and systems, and a investigation with the local police from a few reported suspicious activities which the company denied even knowing or being apart of..the suspicious activities are unknown (A few hidden murders and missing reports) The establishment closed down after two and-a-half years open, keeping night guard hiring for another year, with finding out what’s going on in the building at night time; making the horrific realization that the animatronics were actually living and possessed with the original murdered children from the first ever “The Owl House” Studio establishment. The Remnant was shared/divided among all animatronics.
All locations falls between a duration of 63 years! The first ever related "Owl House" content was between 1995 to 2000 called, "Luz and Friends"
| Luz and Friends |
Luz and Friends is an early short-animated show that was created and aired between 1993 to 1995. The animation was flat and simple, then being followed with it's successor animated television show The Owl House. Luz and Friends was approximately eight minutes long.
Each episode would have a small conflict among the group of teen kids; or could be a simple argument, and is solved by Luz herself learned by a valuable lesson. Hunter was always known as the "trouble maker" in the teen group. Before 'The Owl House' aired, King was known as a forest stray. The program didn't have a complex/difficult plot-line. The location setting was unknown in "Luz and Friends" as the program didn't focus too much on the setting, more than the plot of the story for that episode.
| Animatronics Around The Universe |
There are many variations of the 'The Owl House' Animatronics- Originals, 2.0's, Phantoms, and the Cafe Animatronics. I will list the Animatronics in the "Universe Series" they appear in:
"Originals" Animatronics- FNaTOHS&E 2
- Luz Noceda - Amity Blight - Hunter - King
"2.0's" Animatronics- FNaTOHS&E 1
The 2.0's indicates the Second Studio- and the Epilogue "era" Animatronics
- Luz Noceda 2.0 - Amity Blight 2.0 - Hunter 2.0 - King Clawthorne 2.0 - Eda Clawthorne 2.0 - London - Shadow Luz Noceda -Shadow King Clawthorne
"Hallucinations/Nightmares"- FNaTOHS&E "4"
As the same as the "FNaTOHS&E 1" Era, the Nightmares are also the Epilogue "era" Animatronics.
- Nightmare Luz Noceda * Nightmare Stringbean - Nightmare Amity Blight * Nightmare Ghost - Nightmare King Clawthorne - Nightmare Hunter - Nightmare Eda Clawthorne - Nightmare London
"Phantoms" & "Deathtrap Luz"- FNaTOHS&E 3
As the same as the "FNaTOHS&E 1" Era, the Phantoms are also the Epilogue "era" Animatronics. Unlike for "Deathtrap" Luz Noceda is the tattered version of the springlock 'early iteration' of Luz.
- Deathtrap Luz Noceda * Prototype/Deathtrap Luz Noceda: Prototype is a taller and "older aged" version of Luz Noceda that was never used for the series. She has black leggings, dark purple turtle neck long-sleeved shirt wore under a light blue and white jacket- having a single dark purple stripe along the middle. An owl pendant necklace around her neck, wearing light purple, white, and blue sneakers. Prototype Luz has her pixie cut style but slightly longer. She has a singular golden rectangular earring on her right ear. (her "age" appears to be around 16) - Phantom Luz Noceda - Phantom Amity Blight - Phantom King Clawthorne - Phantom Hunter - Phantom Eda Clawthorne
"Cafe" Animatronics- FNaTOHS&E 5
Cafe Luz Noceda
- Cafe Luz keeps her styled curly shortened hair, mascara black earrings, and her permanent "scar" from the series. Due to the Cafe style, Luz dons brown trousers, black short sleeved shirt, with lighter tan jacket that has a golden clip of the Cafe's logo on the right corner of the jacket, with a pin underneath the logo clip-pin which is a pin shape and colored of stringbean. And black shoes. - Luz helps with day security guard, by looking over the whole Cafe as double security; since she's still the main mascot of the company.
Cafe King Clawthorne
- Cafe King is the same with his dark red collar and tag that has the initials "KC" on it. Along with his bright blue star sticker/bandage on the right side of his skull. On the collar is a golden pin clip that has the Cafe's logo on it. King just wears a coffee brown colored apron. - King would show "coming in" customers to their seats, handing them their menus
Cafe Amity Blight
- Cafe Amity’s hair goes back to the color from the episode “Thanks to Them” with the light pink and the brown root color on the top of her head. She is dressed with a naples yellow colored long sleeved turtle neck shirt, black pants, and a white/light tan colored waist apron that has a pocket in it - which a pad and a pen is always kept in it for Amity to take the customers orders. On the waist apron is a golden clip pin that has the Cafe’s logo. Cafe Amity also wears gray shoes. - Amity would help the human waiters take table orders on hours that the Cafe is very busy following hourly shows.
Cafe Hunter
Cafe Hunter also stayed the same from his “Epilogue” appearance from the series- including his few face and ear scars. He wears a brown long sleeved shirt that has the cuffs of the sleeves folded. Black pants - like Amity, gray shoes, and a light orange/brown apron. - Hunter would help assist Cafe Amity with taking tables orders on hours that the Cafe is very busy between showings.
Aura the Weasel
- Aura is one of the three new characters; alongside Mocha and Echo. Owl Entertainment LLC., has decided to experiment with having animal themed animatronics as well. - Aura assists with table delivery meal orders on rush hours.
Mocha Cappuccino the Red Panda
- Mocha Cappuccino, also known as just "Mocha", is also one of the new characters Owl Entertainment LLC., has created- and is experimented on with having animal themed animatronics. - Mocha has her own place in the "Kid's Table Room" to look after the younger kids, and delivering their meals.
Echo the Hare
- Echo, is one of the three and final new characters of Owl Entertainment LLC., and has built and experimented to see how animal themed/based animatronics program around guests/customers due to a 'walk-around' four legged animal animatronics weren't made before. - Echo helps assists Aura with table delivery meal orders.
Security A.C.E.
- Mostly known just as "Ace". He is a Great Horned Owl that's black, brown, and gray. He also has see-in-the-dark features with bright yellow eyes. On both of his wings, he has a design of a 'security' shield with neon blue trims. - He is the on that holds tight security on the whole network of the restaurant.
| FNaTOHS&E 1&2 Hauntings |
• With the Animatronics - in their "normal mode setting" their eyes are normal with their color eyes and white sclera - except King, he has his yellow sclera.
• Paranormal activities began two days following the MCI - marking that Kailey's third "experience" was successful and that remnants have been collected. The Animatronics continues to program/act the same way, except that they can have tendencies to be more staredown on adults than kids. Since the ghost children are mostly in an "invisible" state most of the time, some objects and doors may seem to open, or slam close themselves. Night Guards that have ran out and/or quickly quit would report random loud scrapping sounds, the security cameras rapidly flashing/going out un-naturally, hearing ghostly whisper sounds, and even the animatronic walking around acting threatening. Often have haunting nightmares of four children stalking and injuring them - when waking up discovering that the injuries are real - a few people have actually died in their dream.
• A few sightings have also been seen of red liquid splattered along walls spelling words like: "YOU". "YOUR NOT OUR FRIEND". "IT'S ME". "SHOW ON" with a red child-sized finger print in red next to it, Or "NO SAVING". Only "IT'S ME" would appear when Luz is nearby and about to attack.
• Ghost Children Possession/Alert: light-yellow tint sclera - King's is a tad darker.
• Ghost Children Angered: fully dark red.
| The Torture Machine |
• The Torture Machine is a hallow front shelled King/horn skull head machine (like the Animatronics' Masks) that has a bunch of sharp gears, shredders, and sharp slicing blades that causes anyone that gets pressed into it ripped apart. This device was originally created by Chairman and Agents of Owl Entertainment Inc. secretly for a tool of controlling - which soon gets taken over as a tool to "fix" people that the Animatronics gets a hold of to properly fit them into the empty suits in the supply/parts and service room. in the '90's it was used a few times by Kailey Lakewood and even Mr. West to get rid of a few Agents/Employees that were caught either snooping around Owl Entertainment corporate office finding secrecy information papers - or, breaking the #8 rule in the business.

Look man, there's nothing wrong with disliking someone's writing. Sometimes a writer's style or content is just not for you, and that's okay! It's okay even when the writer is super popular. For instance, I myself am not a fan of Tolkien or Neil Gaiman. Tokien takes way too long to get to the point for me, and at least in American Gods, Gaiman just used too many metaphors in quick succession, which made me feel the writing was pretentious to its detriment. It was Pratchett's style that made me love Good Omens, not Gaiman's.
Of course, that's not to say these men were / are bad writers! They're wildly beloved for a reason, after all. It's just to say their styles aren't for me. This happens sometimes. It's okay.
So when it comes to Sonic writer Ian Flynn, not everyone has to like his work. Heck, there are things he's written that I myself don't care for, such as:
The House of Cards arc in Archie
Sonic not correcting Kit when Kit called him "sir" in IDW
How the conflict between Tangle and Whisper was resolved in #58
Belle somehow knowing who Surge and Kit were despite Metal Sonic not knowing that
No writer on this planet is perfect, and that includes Ian Flynn. Good faith criticism of his work is natural, and from what I've heard on the Bumblekast (and I've listened to a good number of episodes at this point) he takes good faith criticism very well.
You'll notice, though, that I said good faith criticism. There is a difference between good faith criticism, and bad faith attacks. Here are some examples of each:
Good Faith Criticism:
I feel that [character] was written out of character in [thing] when you consider recent characterization in other things (with emphasis on recent; games that came out 16 years ago may no longer align with Sega's view of the character)
I think that the writing was a little sloppy here for the sake of speeding the plot along
I don't enjoy this plot arc because of the pacing / the themes / the characters being focused on
These are good faith criticisms because they don't attack the person or people who created the work; they make sure to note that this is personal opinion / preference on behalf of the critic; and they're grounded in reality, rather than conspiracy.
Bad Faith Criticism:
The writer on this licensed product HATES the IP and HATES these characters and wants to make them something totally different
All of the writers on staff are LYING when they say the company that owns the license they are working on has rules they have to follow
The writers have an AGENDA they're pushing and that's the ONLY reason why they're working on this licensed product at all; if they say they're doing it for love of the series or work they are lying once again
These are bad faith criticisms because they attack the people who make the works directly; they contain baseless accusations as a form of defense against the idea that the parent company could be moving their mascot and characters in a new direction; and altogether they paint the writers as some sort of nefarious masterminds instead of what they actually are: people who are fallible.
And then of course, there is always something so unhinged it's even worse than the above:
Heinous Behavior:
I hope [writer] dies and I'll celebrate when they do!
This sort of behavior isn't even criticism. It's just heinous, and I shouldn't need to explain why. Disliking someone's work is fine. Talking about why you dislike the work is fine. Wishing death on someone because you dislike their work (or dislike that people enjoy their work) is deplorable behavior. When you are at this stage, you need to log off the internet and go sit alone in a quiet place to reflect upon your behavior. Also, if a children's comic (or discussions about a children's comic) is making you this deranged, perhaps consider seeking counseling, because this sort of reaction to a franchise about a blue hedgehog is not healthy.
Overall, there are healthy and unhealthy ways to engage with media. If a piece of media is making you seethe with rage to the point where other people enjoying it makes you think wishing death on an innocent person is okay, you should probably find another piece of media to engage with. It's not difficult to not read a comic or block fans whose opinons upset you. Actually, it's quite easy and I recommend it.
Be decent to each other. That's all anyone asks.

Congress moves to save F-22s from the boneyard, once again
The compromise defense policy bill sets the USAF’s minimum fighter inventory at 1,112 planes.
Audrey DeckerDecember 7, 2023
F-22 Raptors assigned to the 1st Fighter Wing, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. arrives at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England Oct. 5, 2018.
Lawmakers are set to block the Air Force’s request to retire older F-22 Raptors, despite pleas from the service that it would cost too much money to get them battle-ready.
This is the second straight year Congress has denied the entreaty. Service officials have argued that Block 20 F-22s lack crucial modern weapons and would require billions of dollars to get them up to speed. Officials wanted to put the money toward the Next Generation Air Dominance program, its new, secretive fighter jet.
Congress released its $886 billion compromise defense policy bill late Wednesday night after weeks of negotiations between House and Senate lawmakers.
The F-22 retirements were part of a larger Air Force proposal to shed more than 300 of its aircraft in fiscal 2024 and use the money for higher-end technology. The bill greenlights at least some of the other retirements, including of A-10 Warthogs and F-15C and -D fighters.
The defense policy bill also puts limits on several other Air Force divestment plans, including F-15Es, and requires the service maintain a total fighter inventory of at least 1,112 aircraft.
Congress is requiring a number of updates on the Air Force’s effort to build drone wingmen, known as collaborative combat aircraft, or CCAs. The bill requires Air Force and Navy secretaries to provide specific information on the key milestones and cost estimates for the program.
Lawmakers also included several provisions on the Air Force’s troubled tanker program, the KC-46 Pegasus, in an attempt to keep the various fixes for the program on track.
As the Air Force waits for its tankers to be fixed, Israel, which ordered four KC-46s from Boeing, is also waiting for its tankers to arrive. The bill asks for the Pentagon to look at any ways it can expedite the delivery to Israel and requires the Defense Secretary to consider deploying U.S. KC-46 aircraft to Israel.
The bill text puts a hold on the Air Force’s final acquisition strategy for its next purchase of tankers until it gives lawmakers “an updated tanker roadmap timeline to include procurement of the Next Generation Air Refueling System; the business case analysis of the Air Force; for the KC-135 recapitalization program; validated requirements from the joint staff for the contract competition under the KC-135 recapitalization program,” according to bill text.
Lawmakers also included a provision to keep the Lockheed Martin production line going for the HH-60W combat rescue helicopter—a program the Air Force has truncated. The service has argued that these helicopters are “not particularly helpful in the Chinese” area of responsibility.

A vote on the defense policy bill is expected soon, first by the Senate and then the House, in hopes President Biden will sign it before the end of the year.

For the ship meme: 7, 10, 14, & 29 for No Light, No Light; 3, 16, 19, & 20 for Eric's Song; 3, 15, 17, & 26 for If My Heart was a House; and 9, 11, 23, & 30 for whatever pair you would like to answer for. :) Thanks!
I don't mean to brag, but i answered this one in under three months!
7. What do they get up to on a night out?
I don’t imagine there’s much in the way of a “nightlife” in 12, but I can see them taking a lot of walks, out in the woods. There’s still a lot of area to explore (cautiously), but there’s also a lot of ground Katniss is familiar with, and Peeta’s always interested in hearing more about Katniss’ background.
10. What two songs, two books and two luxury items do they take to a desert island?
I’ll be honest, i got nothing.
14. When one has a cold, what does the other do?
They’re very tender, dedicated caretakers to each other when they’re sick.
29. Why do they fall a little bit more in love?
For Katniss, it’s the little problems and idle comments throughout the day that Peeta remembers and acts on, without being asked or even having it discussed -- offering a massage that night when she’s got sore muscles, picking up a replacement utensil that’s wearing out, baking the type of roll she likes best for a special occasion.
For Peeta, it’s the little things that make up Katniss -- the songs she sings during the day, the way she tackles the household chores, how she’ll come back from the market with some new cause or neighbor’s problem she intends to take on.
Eric’s Song/Zuko & Katara
3. Who is the most romantic?
Zuko. He’s got the formal education and the love of theater. Katara loves it, even when she thinks it’s ridiculous (especially when it’s ridiculous). She can be romantic too, but the SWT’s idea of romance isn’t the kind of thing that ends up in romance stories -- more practical and survival-focused than superfluous and flowery -- so it’s not as natural for her.
16. When the zombie apocalypse comes, how do they cope together?
Already answered here.
19. Where do they go on their first date?
Ooh, couple possibilities here.
They sneak out in disguise, to avoid their security staff and the attention and scrutiny of the public. Zuko takes her to a small restaurant somewhere in Caldera City, a place that specializes in more than just Fire Nation cuisine so Katara’s taste buds don’t get burned off, and afterward they go to a good theatrical production. Finally they get dessert and go to a quiet park or scenic place and talk until it’s way past time for them to be in bed, and sneak back into the palace.
20. Where do they go on holiday?
Ember Island or the Southern Water Tribe -- a common thing in the z/k fandom, but for a reason. They see a lot of other places for work, mostly places in the Fire Nation but also other big cities in the world for diplomacy, trade negotiations, peace anniversary celebrations, etc. Ember Island is a place to retreat from their responsibilities for a little while, and the Southern Water Tribe is a second home.
If My Heart was a House/Chuck & Sarah
3. Who is the most romantic?
Chuck.
15. When they watch a film what do they choose and why? Who gets the final vote?
They watch a variety of things -- action films, comedies, sci-fi, fantasy -- but very rarely do they watch anything that’s outright bleak. Movies with dark or sad elements, yes, but not stuff without at least the potential for a happy ending, usually. There’s exceptions, but Chuck doesn’t like that kind of movie very much, and Sarah is mostly introduced to movies through watching them with Chuck, so she doesn’t develop a taste for them, either.
Sarah usually gets the final vote, since as mentioned above, between her childhood on the move and her career as a spy, there’s a lot she hasn’t watched while every film in Chuck’s library has been watched several times. Sometimes he’ll pick something that she “needs” to see or that he’s really in the mood for, but more often he’ll give her a couple choices, along with a summary of the plot or the kind of movie it is, and she makes the final selection.
17. When they find a time machine, where do they go?
I’m sure Chuck has ideas of where they should go. I don’t.
26. Why do they need to have a serious chat?
There’s a pretty huge discrepancy in their life experiences, in their childhoods and adult lives, so i imagine there’s going to be a learning curve for married life, especially once they have kids. Both of them have an idealized idea of the “white picket fence, 2.5 kids” lifestyle, considering their backgrounds, and when that idea conflicts with reality, they’re going to respond in different ways to it.
Any pair (Avery/Anders)
9. What is the most embarrassing thing they have done in front of each other?
It is not uncommon for Avery to respond to Anders, assuming he's talking to/about her, only to learn he's talking to/about someone else; or worse, a stray cat he's been feeding. It's equally common for Anders to miss a joke or a reference, and get confused or angry or upset only to realize a moment later that it was just Avery’s sense of humor.
11. What do they hide from one another?
There's a lot Anders isn't comfortable sharing with Avery. Most of it is from his past, which is unhappy and he prefers not to remember it, let alone talk about it. Some of it is tied to things he's doing in the present, that he doesn't tell Avery for her own safety -- or because he's afraid she wouldn't approve.
Avery hides how much the weight of responsibility is crushing her from everyone, and while she lets Anders see more of it than most, she never wants him to know how responsible she feels for him. And she really doesn't want him to know how scared she is -- sometimes, not often but more than once, of him, not just for him.
23. Where is their favorite place to be together?
Her manor in Kirkwall, for a while at least. It's got happy and sad memories for both of them, but it's the safest place they know, and a lot of their relationship milestones happened there.
30. Why does it work (or not work) between them?
It works because in the end, Anders trusts Avery more than anything, even himself. It works because Avery never gives up on what matters to her, no matter how hard it gets or whether anyone else stands by her. And it works because they're both flawed, deeply hurting people who are dependent on each other to a degree that is at least concerning, if not outright unhealthy. But i'd like to think that after they flee Kirkwall, they find something adjacent to peace and sanity, and build a more healthy relationship.
Thanks for asking!

meet sutton!
Welcome to Aurora Bay, [SUTTON OCAMPO]! I couldn’t help but notice you look an awful lot like [HAILEE STEINFELD]. You must be the [TWENTY-FOUR] year old [LOUNGE SINGER]. Word is you’re [INTELLIGENT] but can also be a bit [BRATTY] and your favorite song is [I DID SOMETHING BAD BY TAYLOR SWIFT]. I also heard you’ll be staying in [AURORA BAY DRIVE]. I’m sure you’ll love it!
Full name: Sutton Elizabeth Marie Ocampo
Age/DOB: 24 / July 28th, 1998
Hometown: Gainesville, FL
Gender/pronouns: Cisfemale, she/her
Positive traits: intelligent, bubbly, creative
Negative traits: bratty, spoiled, closed off
Hobbies/interests: writing/playing/performing music, reality TV, social media
Family: Gabriel Ocampo (father, alive), Sarah Goldmann (mother, estranged)
sexual assault tw, abandonment tw, neglect tw, abuse of power tw
Sutton Ocampo was not supposed to exist. She was the product of an affair between Gabriel Ocampo, the CEO of a large marketing firm, and Sarah Goldmann, a young receptionist at one of their locations. When she fell pregnant and told Gabriel, he made it very clear that he wanted nothing to do with the baby, or furthermore, with her. He paid her a large sum of money to leave before the baby was born and never contact him again. And young Sarah, afraid and desperate for money, agreed. She moved back in with her parents in Gainesville where little Sutton was born.
The first two years of her life went by unspectacularly. Sutton and her mother lived with her parents in a very small home, but of course, tiny little Sutton didn't know the difference. She was loved and happy for a baby. However, things weren't as pleasant as they seemed for Sarah. She loved her daughter, she did, but this wasn't the life she wanted for herself. She was so young - only twenty when she gave birth - and wanted to be out living her life. So without saying a word to anybody, Sarah packed up her two-year-old child, left her parents' home, and made the trip to Aurora Bay to Gabriel Ocampo's house.
Sutton was dropped off at the hospital with a small bag of belongings and a note explaining who her father was. By the time the DNA testing came back positive, word in Gabriel's social circle had already gotten out that he had a child that had been dumped on him by a now estranged mother. And with no knowledge of where Sarah had vanished to, Gabriel couldn't bear that embarrassment of everyone knowing he pawned his daughter off on anyone else. So the life that Sutton would continue to know as her own began.
Things were very, very different. She was raised by nannies and house staff, with her only contact with her father being minimal and unpersonal. Though on paper, she was never left wanting. The newest toys, nicest clothes, coolest gadgets were all hers, before she could even think to ask for them. The quaint manner in which her life had begun changed drastically. Sutton was spoiled rotten by her father's lifestyle and it started to show at a very, very young age.
(rape tw) Like most teenagers, Sutton felt she was grown by the time she was fifteen years old. She felt she was mature and could handle herself. And, devastatingly, she felt she could handle the attention of adult males. One of her father's employees, a man over ten years her senior at the time, took advantage of her "maturity" and started giving her a little too much attention. He would take any excuse to come see her, even if it meant she had to sneak out to do so. But Sutton didn't realize how evil his intentions truly were until it was too late. She wound up hurt, horrified, and disgusted by herself. And any initial attempts to tell her father fell on purposefully deaf ears. So Sutton swore to die with her secret in shame.
In fear of anyone finding out and blaming her like she did herself, Sutton bounced back to her usual snotty, snappy attitude... except maybe a bit more intense. It became a defense mechanism, to keep people from getting too close again, and it was all she knew. But she was fine with it; in the wealthy social circle she came up in, it was sort of expected for her to behave the way she did. No one raised a brow at her, which was exactly what she wanted.
As she got older, Sutton's behavior only increased. She tested well in school, but her grades didn't reflect that fully, as she neglected her homework in favor of going out with her friends. And when she graduated, that only continued. She chose not to go to college, angering her father tremendously. And when she came to him to tell him she wanted to turn her love of music into an actual career? The entire street of beachfront villas they lived on probably could've heard his screams. He told her, in no uncertain terms, he would not pay a cent to her "silly pipe dream" and that she'd have to figure that out by herself.
So she does. She landed a job as a lounge singer at the Golden Hour Longue and spends her free time writing songs. It's her only real escape - besides binge watching 90 Day Fiancée, of course. You can catch her there a lot in the evenings, if she isn't maintaining their house on Aurora Bay Drive while her father is away pretty constantly.
By and large, Sutton is a spoiled brat with a very private, tragic past that even the Lord Jesus himself couldn't get out of her. She's always down for a good night out, or a good night in with a few drinks and her guitar.
A few wanted plots I have would be
Close friends! She doesn't have many, but maybe a few people that have lived in the area for a long time that she'd have been friends with for a long time?
Ex flings of any gender! Relationships aren't her thing but hook-ups? Friends with benefits? One night stands? Keep 'em coming.
Maybe one or two actual exes? Sutton's cold lil heart is capable of being thawed if a brave soul would try hard enough. Definitely didn't last, but there was something there.
Enemies is a strong word, but.... like come on, I'm sure there's a lot of people that don't like her lmao
If you're playing a wealthier character, I would looove for her to have some friends/connections from that side of her life! Country club people, fundraising people, anything!
And lastly, maybe some babysitters she had in the past? Any little semblance of actual affection and stability from her childhood, pls
Aaaaand last but not least, hi, I'm Kirby! I'm 24, CST, I use she/her pronouns, and I've been roleplaying for way too long. It's been a minute since I've done it on tumblr though so forgive me if I'm a silly little dude sometimes! I'm getting re-used to everything.

Larry Johnson has done a pretty much no-holds-barred interview with Larry Wilkerson—a deeply experienced military and diplomatic official. They cover a lot of ground, matters that Wilkerson was personally involved in as Colin Powell’s chief of staff, such as the lying that got us into Iraq, etc. Here’s a link to the hour long interview:
From Iraq War to Escalation with Russia: Inside Bush Admin's Blunders | Col. Lawrence Wilkerson
As usual, of course, there’s a lot more to the interview than the title might initially suggest. As we’ve discussed in the past, the connection between the WMD lies that led us to war in Iraq and the war on Russia is that the same cabal of Neocons were behind both wars. Just as importantly, the same cabal of Neocons have also been behind Anglo-Zionist support for Israel over the years and, more particularly, support for genocide in the Middle East—ongoing since the Iraq war in one way or another. I’ve transcribed a few minutes of the interview which implicitly connects the dots between Russia under Yeltsin (and into the Putin years) and Israel and Palestine today—and where American society stands. The links, of course, were added by yours truly.
[50:29]
LJ: During [Powell’s] first year at State, Putin started making the move against the oligarchs. I recall my friend Bruce Bradley got me connected with a lobbying firm in DC called [Apco?], and they were hired by Mikhail Khodorkovsky. So, did the issue of all these Jewish oligarchs that Putin was cracking down on, did that come before State at any time that you recall?
LW: We talked about it in a personal capacity, private capacity, and I made such assertions as, Anatoly Chubais and Larry Summers had conducted a fire sale in Moscow and sold off all the old Soviet assets to a bunch of oligarchs and made such huge amounts of money off the fees they charged that we were going to regret it. And he was like, 'Well, you know that's just the way things happen when one Empire goes down and the other Empire is triumphant.' I said, 'No, it's not necessarily that the investment bankers descend on the defeated Empire and sell all of its assets to people who are gonna be our enemies in the future.' It didn't register with him that much. And since then I've come to believe that that was precisely what happened.
[58:10]
LJ: We've seen how the sausage is made inside. We know how the final product comes out. Who's making the damn sausage, right now, with respect particularly to Israel--as far as State Department, DOD and the White House goes?
LW: In a very large degree I think Mearsheimer is right. I think there are some Jewish and non-Jewish billionaires in this country who have a lot of the apparatus by the gonads, so to speak, and they are controlling what goes on. But I also think, and it's one of the things I taught at William and Mary--and I think my experience taught me--that there's never a single reason. There's always a multiplicity of reasons and a multiplicity of culprits advocating each one of these reasons. The president's job--and I watched HW Bush do this rather well, and it takes experience, experience with the bureaucracy, experience with diplomacy, experience with security and other factors impinging on, and you have to be able to parse it and find the best solution. Well, we haven't had a president capable of that. They've all been totally inexperienced, from Obama--even Biden! Because Biden, as people used to say all the time, runs his mouth far too much. If [Biden] were ever anything other than a senator he'd be a dangerous man, right?
So when you look at the multiplicity of things beyond what John [Mearsheimer] talks about--the Israel Lobby, which he defines rather well--and you look at the other factors--everything from about 40% of America's visceral appreciation of--but no knowledge of at all, the Holocaust and what happened--and their appreciation of what Israel means and their shame over the United States's performance from roughly the early 30s on, the pictures of the concentration camps and those sorts of things, the Holocaust. The Israelis have been very, very clever in doing this--you know the Holocaust museum is just the peak of the iceberg, if you will. The whole body of things--they're in our high schools, they're in our grammar schools, they're in our middle schools, they control in many states the way the curriculum reflects the situation in the Middle East. They've been very elaborate in the way they've taken over this country and, in that sense, it's bigger than what John says in terms of the Israel Lobby. It's what they've done to the American citizenry. And only now--and this is Netanyahu's greatest accomplishment, I think--is it beginning to unwind, is it beginning to shred.

Best Practices for Data Centre Cleaning | 2024
Maintaining clean data centres is vital to their continued safe operation without encountering server issues, system crashes or system failures, or potential fire outbreaks. Here are some best practices used by professional data centre cleaning services.
SubFloor/Plenum Cleaning
When beginning to clean a data centre, staff must begin in the sub-floor plenum area by carefully unbolting and cleaning accessible floor panels using lint-free microfiber cloth or electrostatic discharge (ESD) wipes. They should take great care not to unbolt too many panels at once as this may lead to instability of floor boards as well as overheated equipment.
Cleaners must take their time as they vacuum all sub-floor areas and carefully wipe down cabling and hardware of data centre equipment, then replace floor panels in their proper places before wiping down using staticide chemical solution.
Floor Cleaning
Next, floors should be meticulously cleaned using an ESD vacuum with HEPA filters to extract even the tiniest bits of debris and dust from your data centre. A general rubdown using anti-static rags, PVA mop and non-conductive staticide cleaner will help ensure all dust, dirt, grime, contaminants are also eliminated - repeat this process as necessary and with great care so as to use as little liquid as possible which may seep through floorboards or damage expensive data centre maintenance equipment.
Surface Cleaning
Once floors are tidy, staff should focus on cleaning light fixtures, ledges, air conditioners, work and desk surfaces and other accessible areas such as light switches. Light fixtures should then be vacuumed along with air conditioner ducts before moving on to cleaning all other surfaces such as racks, storage cabinets, shelves monitors and racks using HEPA filters before using an anti-static cleaning solution for wiping down server cabinets and tape racks with anti-static cleaner.
Special care must be taken when handling all equipment and technology to avoid costly damages. When employing external cleaning services for this process, their staff must receive specific training for handling critical data centre equipment without harming it in any way.
Tape Library Cleaning
Staff should clean and vacuum all surfaces of the tape library, including individual tape slots. Cleaning teams should ideally collaborate with an on-duty member from ISD (Information System Development) or another relevant department to ensure all tapes are handled carefully during cleaning and returned back into their proper locations once cleaning has been completed.
Best Practices for Maintaining Cleanliness
Clean data centres also rely on several other factors and best practices designed to keep their facilities as sanitary as possible while guaranteeing their technology remains top notch - procedures and policies implemented can ensure it remains as hygienic as possible and remain protected for as long as possible against dirt, dust and contaminants - here are a few procedures and policies in place by data centres to maintain their facility's cleanliness:
Food and beverages of any kind should never be permitted to enter rooms that house any critical equipment, and cleaning crews should take extra precautions not to use too much liquid cleaning solution or water near or on equipment, so as to reduce accidental and costly damages.
All cleaning tools and materials should be rinsed or emptied away from data centre cleaning services equipment before they are put back into storage. Vacuums in particular should be regularly maintained outside the building to help eliminate dust-borne particles that could otherwise wreak havoc on data centre equipment.
Cardboard, paper products and other office supplies should not be stored alongside critical data centre equipment. Doors between non-equipment rooms and equipment rooms should always be securely shut after use to avoid potential contamination issues.
Packing and unpacking tools or equipment in rooms containing computers or other crucial electronics should be strictly forbidden. Only authorized personnel should gain entry to rooms containing critical data centre equipment, and should also receive training on how to safely handle and use it without causing any harm or destruction.
Work should not take place near critical data centre equipment until its environmental effects have been fully assessed and approved by data centre superiors in order to avoid possible contamination of sensitive systems.

××× — ×××
You had been to a lot of concerts before (you had stopped being able to easily keep count a couple of years ago), but you had never been this level of entranced by a performer. You were utterly fascinated, unable to take your eyes off of Victoria De Angelis for more than a second. She was the whole show to you and you studied her every motion.
You had attended a Måneskin concert before and you couldn't remember being this level of obsessed with just the bassist. The videos on your phone from that night had tried to capture all four musicians at once. It had also captured the few rows of people standing between you and the stage.
But tonight you were at the front of the crowd, which had been exhilarating even before the band had taken to the stage. You and your best friend, Nadia, were thrilled that your early arrival had secured you this spot. There was absolutely no one blocking your view as you stood at the barricade, on the left of the stage's front.
Everyone had been screaming when the house lights dimmed and the background music was shut off. But your cheering had gotten even louder when Victoria had come into view, wearing her guitar as she strode to the front of the stage, directly in front of you. You were enamoured by the way her hair flowed and you immediately loved the look of her studded mini-skirt.
You had made a (kind of explicit) sign, specifically for her and you had lifted it above your head straight away. LET ME CALL YOU MUMMY.
Beforehand, you hadn't known if she would understand the intent, or even see the sign. It had been made with a rush of adrenaline, half-joking around with Nadia and seeing how sexual you were willing to get.
You saw Victoria's eyes land on it, and the smile already on her face had gotten bigger. Her eyes had moved down and you thought you saw her wink at you. Your arms had felt numb as you lowered the poster, instantly finding reasons to disbelieve what you had seen from the bass player.
You had taken your eyes off of her during the first song, when someone wearing a lanyard had approached from the other side of the barricade. They stood directly in front of you, making eye contact. It might have been easy to fear that you were going to get a stern talking-to after accidentally doing something troublesome.
“Do you wanna be on stage?” They asked.
You had seen the videos online, you knew exactly what this meant, nodding your head as vigorously as possible. “Fuck yeah!”
“Yes!” Nadia had joined in, extending her arm for one of the wristbands that the staff member was holding.
They had wrapped the paper accessories around your wrist and hers. Over the song they had given the two of you instructions of where to go and when.
Once they were gone, Nadia had grabbed you, screaming her excitement. This was a rare opportunity given to only about twenty fans per show, it was almost like winning the lottery.
You hadn't been able to think of anything to say back, because your eyes had gotten stuck on Victoria again. You hung on her every confident step and marvelled at the precision of her fingers.
You had never seen somebody so sexy in real life before. Seeing her beauty so many times on a screen, it was easy to assume there was some production magic involved - filters, blurring makeup, flattering lighting and angles, truly the best money could buy.
But as you stared up at her, trying to memorise all of these incredible details, you had seen that she was actually just that gorgeous. There wasn't a single feature that could turn you off. You dedicated more than a respectful amount of seconds looking at the little black love hearts that were pasted to each of her exposed breasts, covering the nipples.
As she had looked in your general direction (was it just wishful thinking that she was looking at you?) recklessly filthy images filled your head. You hardly knew where they had come from, but you were inundated to the point where you could hardly concentrate on anything else. You couldn't help yourself, you were suddenly ravenous for all of it.
You wondered how it would feel to have her lips all over your neck. You had pictured scissoring, desperately rubbing your cunt on hers. You hadn't done that with someone in such a long time, but it was often on your mind, the delights from previous experiences lingering in the deepest part of you. You had imagined how she might look riding your face, rocking her body with more intensity that she showed on stage. Images of worshipping her breasts couldn't be ignored and you had noticed that you felt damp in your panties.
You didn't think you had ever been driven so wild just by looking at someone before. Your libido was out of control. It was like the seduction was already happening, independent of words or touches.
When it was finally time to join the performers on stage, you dropped your sign. You didn't feel brave enough to hold it up to her directly, you didn't know how she would react and that intimidated the Hell out of you. The group of fans began to rush the stage and you followed Nadia up the small staircase.

Elevate Efficiency by Designing a Beautiful Kitchen That Works for You
A well-designed kitchen can make food preparation easier and more enjoyable. A functional kitchen design will include everything from storage solutions to smart appliances and work zones.
For example, an L-shaped kitchen layout allows for a practical work triangle between the refrigerator, oven/stove, and sink. This makes it easy to move between tasks without wasting time.
Optimal Workflow
Creating an efficient kitchen requires more than just a gorgeous layout. You need to make sure that every process is optimized for efficiency. This is often done through a process called workflow optimization.
Essentially, this means that you look at all the steps involved in your processes and how they flow together, as well as any potential problems. You then take steps to streamline those processes for improved efficiency.
To do this, you may need to look at a variety of factors including cost, speed, quality, and user experience. It’s also a good idea to seek fresh perspectives from outside experts if your team feels too close to the process to see it clearly.
When you optimize your kitchen workflow, you not only boost your staff’s productivity but also your guests’ tasty experiences. The result is an overall improved business performance. This is an added bonus in a time when operators are increasingly seeking ways to shrink back-of-house footprints.
Maximizing Storage Space
The kitchen is the most-used room in any home, so it often suffers from clutter and overflowing cabinets. To achieve a more functional kitchen, make sure your storage solutions are optimized for the most frequent tasks and tools. For example, keep coffee mugs, grounds and accessories near the coffee machine to ease the morning grogginess of java prep or place frequently used cooking utensils (like whisks and spatulas) near the cooking station.
Designate a message center with a bulletin board or chalkboard in an easily viewable spot to create a space for writing reminders and grocery lists. This helps to avoid kitchen mess and ensures everything is in order when it comes time to cook.
Displaying heirloom china and other decorative kitchen items can also add beauty to the room, especially when arranged thoughtfully. This can help to establish a sense of style and personality for the space, as shown in this black-and-white kitchen designed by Global Architects.
Ergonomic Elements
Incorporating ergonomic elements into a kitchen increases productivity by decreasing the amount of energy and time required to perform tasks. It also reduces the risk of injury and fatigue that can occur from unnecessary body movements.
Following the classic kitchen work triangle rule and providing sufficient space between workspaces enables employees to easily move around their kitchen without straining or bumping into appliances. It’s also a good idea to place electrical outlets directly beside high-use areas rather than on the walls to avoid stretching to reach them. Heavier items should be stored between hip and shoulder height to prevent overstretching, while light-weight objects should never be placed higher than eye level.
By easing the effort required to complete simple kitchen tasks, ergonomic design decreases worker fatigue and stress, which in turn can reduce absenteeism, improve morale and overall productivity. It’s also an excellent way to show that your company places value on the health and wellbeing of its staff.
Practical Advantages
A well-designed, efficient kitchen simplifies cooking routines, saves time, and makes everyday tasks more streamlined and enjoyable. That may not seem like a big deal, but it adds up over the years. Plus, a kitchen that works for you is easy to clean and maintain, which keeps it looking great.
One of the most important aspects of a kitchen’s design is its layout. Many designers use a concept known as the kitchen triangle, which involves arranging the oven or cooktop; sink; and refrigerator in a triangular shape to maximize efficiency.
A good kitchen also takes advantage of a variety of textures. A bold wall color can add character to a room, while stainless steel appliances and polished wood accents look timeless and sophisticated. Decorative touches, such as a framed artwork or patterned backsplash, also make a difference. In addition, energy-efficient appliances and fixtures help keep utility bills lower. Taking these simple steps can turn an ordinary kitchen into a space you truly love to work in.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the steps to remodelling a kitchen?
Plan your kitchen remodel. Consider what you want and how much money you are willing to spend.
Locate a contractor. Request bids from as many contractors as possible and then choose the one with whom you are most at ease.
Demolition. This is where the fun begins! This is the fun part!
Installation. According to your plans, the contractor will install cabinets, countertops, appliances, and other items.
Finishing touches. Your kitchen remodel is complete when you add finishing touches such as new hardware or paint.
Are open-concept kitchens on the decline?
Open-concept kitchens still have a lot of appeal because they provide a contemporary look and allow easy access to all areas. For many reasons, homeowners are returning to traditional kitchen designs.
Open-concept cooking can be very noisy. An open-concept cooking area can make it difficult to clean, due to the amount of dust and cooking fumes that circulate through the house.
Families who like to cook together love open-plan kitchens. If your children love to play in the kitchen and aren’t listening to their parents, open-concept kitchens could be a nightmare. If you’re considering an open-concept kitchen, carefully weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.
Do you put flooring under kitchen appliances?
Flooring under kitchen appliances is an important consideration. You can ensure that your countertop is at the correct height.
What is the costliest part of a Kitchen Remodel?
There’s no definitive answer to this question since the cost of a kitchen can vary greatly depending on the specific project. However, some experts estimate that the average cost of a high-end kitchen remodel can range from $40,000 to $100,000 or more. Planning a major remodel of your kitchen could mean a large cost. If you don’t make any structural changes, often custom cabinetry will be the most expensive component of your kitchen remodeling project.
Custom cabinets are 25-35% lower than the total price. Other potential big-ticket items include countertops, appliances, and flooring. If you have a tight budget you might need to prioritize what parts of the kitchen you want to remodel. With careful planning, you can have a luxury kitchen without spending a lot.
However, there are ways you can keep your costs down. You can focus on cosmetic improvements rather than major structural changes. One example is to refinish cabinets, or install new countertops, instead of replacing the entire kitchen. To save labour costs, you could consider doing some of your work yourself, especially if the project is more complex.
There are options that will make your kitchen remodel less expensive, no matter what your budget. If you are strategic about your choices, and plan well, you can make the kitchen that you want without breaking the bank.
Statistics
Your most significant cost investment for a kitchen remodel will usually be cabinets, typically comprising 25 percent of your budget. (hgtv.com)
Followed by cabinet cost, labour, and appliance costs consume 20 percent each of your budget. (hgtv.com)
In large firms, the commission charged by the GC ranges from 15 to 25 percent of the total job cost. (thespruce.com)
It’s a fantastic thing about most home improvement projects: no matter the job. It often seems like the last 20% is the most difficult. (familyhandyman.com)
According to Burgin, some hinges have this feature built-in, but it’s an add-on cost for other models of about $5 retail, adding up to $350 to $500 for an entire kitchen, depending on size. (hgtv.com)

How To
These are the 8 Steps to Kitchen Remodeling For Beginners
These are the steps to follow when starting a DFY program for beginners:
There are three basic steps involved when remodeling your kitchen. First, you need to decide whether you want an entire kitchen renovation or just replacing fixtures and appliances. Second, choose the type of kitchen that best suits you and your lifestyle. Third, you can decide whether to hire professionals for the job or DIY it.
Next is to decide which type of kitchen you want. Do you want a traditional, open-plan kitchen with cabinets countertops and appliances or a modern one? Or perhaps you prefer modern designs with sleek lines and minimal storage space? You might be interested in adding a large island to your kitchen or a breakfast bar. You will also need to hire an experienced contractor to assist you with the installation after you have selected a layout, finish and material.
The kitchen is the heart of every home, but many homeowners feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of decisions they must make before beginning their project. Fortunately, there are some easy ways to get started.
Decide if You Want to Renovate or Replace – The first step is to determine whether you want to complete a kitchen renovation or replace some of the appliances and fixtures. If you’re planning to gut the space and start from scratch, you’ll need to factor in the cost of demolition, new cabinets, countertops, appliances, flooring, and lighting.
Determine Your Budget – The first thing you should do is calculate how much you can spend on your kitchen remodel. This covers everything from labor and supplies costs to what you can afford.
Choose Your Layout – Once you’ve determined how much you can spend, the next step is deciding where you would like to place your new kitchen. There are many options for layouts such as open concept, peninsula and galley, U shape, L-shape and corner. Each layout comes with its pros and disadvantages, so make sure you choose the one that is most suitable for your needs.
Choose Your Materials – Now it’s time to choose your materials. This covers everything from cabinets and countertops, to flooring and lighting. There are many options so it is crucial to research and find the material that suits your needs.
Hiring Professionals – Once you have selected your materials, it is time to look for a professional who specializes in kitchen construction. Good contractors will make sure everything runs smoothly, from design to completion. A good contractor will also offer follow-up services so that you don’t have any worries during the installation process.
Enjoy! You’ve made it through the final stages of your kitchen remodel. Enjoy! You won’t mind spending hours in your new kitchen cooking delicious meals if you love it. You can still test your kitchen if you’re not certain. It will give you an idea of the value of your remodel.

Engineering Services Outsourcing- How To Do It Right?
Engineering projects must constantly reduce operating costs while increasing revenue and focusing on core competencies.
However, companies face numerous challenges in remaining competitive due to increased workload, a lack of in-house talent, or rising expenses. This is when outsourcing your engineering services needs to skilled providers is a good way to reduce project costs, supplement available resources, acquire rare expertise, and shorten product delivery terms.
Outsourcing firms can provide services such as drawing generation, component design, and full product development.
Furthermore, when you outsource engineers, you get to work with experts in their field as needed. Such scalability results in higher-quality output, which leads to a more satisfied clientele.
Here is a summary of some of the key benefits you can get by outsourcing your engineering services requirements.
Benefits of outsourcing engineering services
Outsourcing engineering services can help you save money throughout the project's development lifecycle.
It begins with a reduction in the amount of office space required because you will not need to hire in-house staff and thus will not require extra space. Outsourcing can also result in significant savings on office equipment.
Finally, you won't have to worry about hiring and training costs, as well as any associated overhead costs.
A reputable outsourcing provider will have highly trained engineering teams that are well-versed in industry best practices.
Working with an outsourcing firm allows you to work with qualified engineering specialists and a large talent pool with valuable skills that would otherwise be too expensive to hire as full-time employees.
As engineering services become more complex, more advanced tools must be implemented, which is sometimes beyond the scope of a small business with limited in-house engineering resources.
Outsourcing firms, on the other hand, are constantly investing in new technology to ensure that they can focus on innovation while remaining competitive. Furthermore, they have the right people on board who have the necessary training and skill set to make the most of these.
As a result, if you are lacking in technical resources, it may be preferable to outsource to an engineering design firm that not only has the appropriate technology, but also a specialized team to operate them.
Outsourcing companies frequently work around the clock to complete projects and are structured to efficiently move a project from intake to completion. This allows them to meet the demands of their customers much faster than they could with a limited number of in-house engineers.
With the right service provider, you may even be able to get after-hours support, which is very useful for companies with teams spread across multiple time zones who may have questions or concerns at various times throughout the day.
How to find the right outsourcing partner
In this section, I will be discussing how to choose engineering firms and how to evaluate them.
When it comes to evaluating an engineering service provider, there are many factors to consider depending on your industry, such as experience, skills, licensing, and more. Following is an overview of some of the key factors:
This is when the relative experience of a firm is an important aspect to consider. To gauge a firm's experience you can request their past performances to research their competencies. However, because most engineering projects happen under non-disclosure or non-compete confidentiality agreement between a firm and its client, hence referrals might become invaluable. This also makes it difficult for engineering firms to advertise their portfolio.
You need to evaluate a service provider's management skills by understanding who will manage your projects and how they will manage them. You need to drill down into the firm's hierarchy, from the project manager and specialists to the designer and drafter, to assess their composition and ability to integrate other disciplines if necessary.
For instance; your project manager should be able to explain what processes they will implement for your project. Now, because project management is a diverse process you need to stay involved in that process from start to finish to ensure that they understand your vision.
The engineering firm’s job is to help you achieve your vision through efficient execution, and even though the outcomes can vary, the progress and expectation of the project should be tracked and measured.
Determining this synergy between you and the firm is an important factor and it is all about managing expectations. For instance, to set the right expectations you must go through the design specifications together at the start of the project. The amount of information you can provide at the beginning of the project will dictate the efficiency of all the aspects to come.
Professional engineering licenses are required for submitting plans to public authorities, this is when the firm's relationship with various implementation and commission providers plays a big role in the outcome of your project.
Having an experienced and licensed provider who has the right contacts related to your project is extremely important. It is essential that you relay these expectations to the firm involved and even ask them to provide oversight until the completion of your project.

Bilona Ghee Vs Processed Ghee
Nothing takes an Indian meal to the next degree like a dose of ghee. Our diverse cuisines have actually constantly had that fragrant blob alike. It's healthy, yummy as well as can be utilized to improve the taste of every little thing. Therefore, it makes it crucial for us to check how this made clear butter is made.
What is ghee made of?
The typical approach of making ghee (bilona) is rather elaborate. Cow's milk is boiled and also cooled down. Then a dose of curd is contributed to this milk and also maintained space temperature overnight. The curd is after that churned to extract butter from it. This butter is after that steamed so that the water vaporizes leaving behind pure ghee.
As you can see, the procedure is rather slow-moving as well as commonly, every one of this was made in the houses without any use of makers. When ghee-making came to be a major income churner for the dairy products sector, things altered. Extremely couple of brands, like The Nature's Means (TNW), based in Gujarat, preserve the old-time practices of hand-churning ghee.
The industrial manufacturing of ghee:
Earthomaya Ghee is a half a billion-dollar industry in India which saw a growth of 11.1 per cent in between 2011-18. Clearly, the demand for our favorite dairy product is mosting likely to decrease anytime soon. However this development also means that countless individuals now depend upon industrial makers of ghee. Ghee is not made in the house anymore, specifically in urban locations; it is an enhancement to the monthly grocery store list.
The conventional approaches of setting curd in earthen pots, churning butter in wooden vessels to make ghee are lost. To meet these ever-expanding need, mega-companies use automated devices that produce thousands of kilograms of ghee in a few mins. The manufacturing procedures run throughout the day, loading hundreds of plastic bottles with the mass-produced ghee.
Some preferred brands are also guilty of making it from malai or lotion obtained from milk rather than curd. This kind is faster to make and also gives far better milk to ghee ratio as contrasted to the bilona range. Yet at the same time, it can not be digested quickly.
Where do we get bilona ghee?
As customers, we should know what we are consuming- particularly when it involves frequently-used items like ghee. Even in these technically sophisticated times, TNW counts on a small team that hand makes ghee and also makes use of wood as well as stainless-steel vessels.
Pintu Suvagiya, a staff member at the organisation clarifies to The Better India, "We make use of cow milk, which is abundant in the A2 healthy protein. We have actually set the procedure as if the demand does not cause any type of form of contamination.
For example, ghee is made from butter only between 4-6 AM because the trendy environment and pre-dawn time are ideal for this process. If the need is for, claim, 1 kg of ghee, we begin with 20-25 litres of milk. If the need is half of that, we take just 10-15 litres of milk. Our vessels are earthen as well as our team small so we provide you the ghee that feels home-made."

Bilona Ghee Vs Normal Ghee: Which Ghee is Much better?
The ghee market is a fast-growing market in India. Earlier, ghee was made in families itself, but this method has actually decreased with time. Ghee is mainly purchased from the local grocer and even ordered online.
Prep Work Methods of Ghee
Considering that ancient times, ghee was made by setting curd in earthen pots and also this was thereafter churned to get butter, which was as a result cooked to ultimately get the made clear liquid. Nevertheless, with industrialization, massive quantities of ghee are obtained by automated machines. While the standard procedure is time-consuming, the mechanized procedure is a lot quicker.
1. Typical Bilona Method of Making Ghee
In the standard or bilona ghee preparation is a handbook and also slow process. After boiling the milk of the desi cow to remove rawness and impurity, it is kept to cool off till it obtains cozy enough to make curd.
Milk is after that poured into earthen pots as well as a curd starter is contributed to convert the milk into curd. The curd so ready, is to be finally spun in a wood pot with the help of a wood churner or the "bilona" to acquire white butter.
As a matter of fact all of us are rather accustomed to the Janamashtami scenes of Lord Krishna's childhood with gopis holding and also moving the two ends of a rope to make butter. These are actually ropes wrapped around the bilona, to spin the curd clockwise as well as anti-clockwise continuously - a process which slowly produces white butter which is eliminated from the whey. This whey is in truth the butter milk or mattha.
Commonly the drawn out butter was placed on a wooden fire for low heating, which at some point caused the water to evaporate as well as milk solids to speed up, leaving the appropriate fat web content, that was ghee.
2. Ghee Making from Malai or Cream
When milk is steamed and chilled over night, thick cream types on top of the milk. This cream or malai is slowly accumulated and also when a good amount is acquired, it is warmed till the time reddish-brown precipitate divides from the golden ghee. Ghee is strained to separate it from the precipitate.

Types of Cleaning Services You Can Offer Your Customers in 2023
Whether you are expanding your office cleaning services in Melbourne or starting a business from scratch in 2023, you must have a firm understanding of the different kinds of cleaning services available on the market. These different kinds of jobs perform separate tasks, but they also share some characteristics, pieces of equipment, and clients. For instance, you might have a client who requires washing their house. They want to recommend you to their office administrator for service because they are so pleased with the quality of your work. Alternatively, the same client requires biweekly residential and laundry jobs.
You must treat these jobs seriously to ensure their successful completion because you will need specialised equipment, products, and additional crew members. A golden opportunity exists in these jobs such as commercial cleaning services in Melbourne, but you should not take it lightly. In other words, before you jump in, you need to have a clear understanding of what each type entails.
Services for general home cleaning.
Customers who are too busy to take care of household chores benefit most from general house cleaning services. This service includes vacuuming, mopping, dusting, floor polishing, washing bathrooms, polishing mirrors, and similar duties. Additionally, you can promote move-in/move-out packages as well as more extensive deep-wash jobs. These services do, however, typically cost more than regular housekeeping.
Services for commercial cleaning.
If you require services for a business, institution, or other public or private area, then you can go for commercial cleaning services in Melbourne. You will need to work with a service that has a sizable enough staff to complete the project quickly. Others will need to move around the building while all the employees or students are still present, but some jobs offer after-hours washing to avoid disturbing your staff during the day. These office cleaning services in Melbourne include window, vent, toilet and bathroom, carpet laundry or mopping, desk wipe-downs, and, occasionally, sanitization. Such a service will arrive with its tools.
Residential washing.
Having a stranger in your home can be a little unsettling at first, but boy, oh boy, is it worth it in the end! You will quickly develop a strong rapport with the person or people who work in your home. Jobs like vacuuming, dishwashing, dusting, mopping, etc. are included under this category. You might need to think about hiring more than one cleaner, depending on the size of your house. It is usually negotiable whether you provide the supplies that the agency does, so make sure to ask in advance, or you might find yourself short on supplies.
Spring cleaning and deep cleaning.
Compared to a basic cleaning, this is more thorough. It will involve washing the oven, dusting the ceiling fan blades, vacuuming the upholstery, polishing the wood, and washing cabinets by hand. Give a client who hasn't had their home professionally washed in a while some advice on getting a deep wash.
Janitorial washing.
Despite their apparent similarity, janitorial and office cleaning differ in a few important ways. The primary distinction between the two is that it requires a more thorough washing, which is typically done on weekends when office workers aren't present.
On the other hand, this involves keeping a commercial establishment tidy throughout the day. These jobs like sweeping, dusting, mopping, garbage disposal, and more are included throughout the day. Given that your company will receive consistent payment for this work, this can be lucrative work.
Disinfection and sanitization.
These jobs sanitise and disinfect a space that may have come into contact with an infectious disease like COVID-19. As a result, you require specialised tools like misting guns and UVC sterilisers in addition to full PPE for your crew. Even though sanitation and disinfection can be somewhat expensive up front, they are essential commercial cleaning services in Melbourne that many different types of establishments will need in the middle of a pandemic.
Pressure washing.
Dirt, sediment, debris, and even moss accumulate on driveways, fences, decks, exterior walls, and garden paths. All of these are unsightly additions to your home that pose a risk if ignored. These jobs are a great way to earn money and expand your business because not many people can afford or maintain a pressure washer.
You wouldn't need a large crew if you had the right tools, and they wouldn't need a lot of training to do their jobs either. Typically, pressure washing providers such as window cleaning services in Melbourne handle specific exterior jobs like maintaining concrete driveways and parking lots and washing top-of-the-line industrial equipment used for mechanical, transportation, manufacturing, and food processing tasks.
Green Cleaning Services
While it would be ideal for all facilities to be well on their way to becoming sustainable, this isn't always the case. Regardless of the type you require, it is your duty as the client to make sure the company you choose is committed to using environmentally friendly products and procedures.
Cleaning and laundry
Always confirm with any service you contact before hiring them, as laundry and dry cleaning are frequently offered for individuals and businesses separately. Although professional laundries are much more efficient and will also fold your clothes, you can do the wet washing yourself at home with a washing machine or bucket. Sensitive fabrics, such as suede, that cannot be washed using traditional methods should be dry cleaned. Always make sure it is eco-friendly and sustainable!
What are you waiting for now that you know everything there is to know about the various jobs and what they have to offer? Start gathering information and asking questions, and your space will be hygienic and inviting in no time.

Oh well now I'm curious, do you prefer cgi costumes or a mix between handmade and cgi ones? Idk if that's something They Do over in Hollywood
okay well it's more like. it depends
cgi-ing a costume is extremely fucking expensive. vfx gets cheaper every day and yet it's never going to cost less money to put something that looks real on an actor frame by frame than it is to just. make the costume
generally, you cgi a costume when you can't make what you want in real life
now, i do think that people go to vfx too much instead of practical in general, but in those cases it's typically an issue of saving time/space rather than money (i mean it's kinda money because you can't hold up production while testing shit and also storing stuff costs money, but that last one is minimal)
often, parts of a costume are cgi if those parts can't be replicated in real like. like the iron man suit. helmet - real. all those little joints and stuff - fake.
vfx are also a lot more prevalent in even seemingly normal scenes than people thing. it's not uncommon for reflections in people's glasses to be cgi'd out. every time someone says "we'll fix it in post" an editor somewhere has a night terror. but whole ass costumes are not cgi'd and it certainly doesn't save money. costumers and wardrobe assistants ect are worked into the cost of every production. maybe you don't have a large material budget, but the fact that you have to pay your costumer really doesn't matter. especially because the movies/tv shows people complain about this in are always the ones with a budget of 100 milion plus. trust me, the costume department staff is not the thing that breaks that budget, because you know what would cost more?
contracting out all your costumes to a vfx company. vfx is almost always contracted out rather than done in house
not that every case of a cgi costume is necessary or good, of course. lets look at two examples with the same actress.
angelina jolie's costume in the eternals was pretty much all cgi. it was awful. it looks good, sure, but they did it partially because they changed their mind partway through on the costume and partially because they wanted to show off jolie's body. which, sure, whatever, but that's not something you need cgi for. it would have looked better if they'd put her in a real costume and just cgi'd whatever bits of it they needed to in specific moments. waste of money and time.
jolie's costume in maleficent 2 was also pretty much all cgi. it's because she wasn't supposed to look human. the bone structure of her face and the way she moves is all supposed to be otherwordly, and her costume is too. in a lot of scenes, her costume moves unlike real cloth would, and that's by design. additionally, given all the movement jolie does, and the design of her dress, it would have been almost impossible to have her do the stunts and movements and everything that she needed to do in that costume, to say nothing of the fact they would have had to practically superglue it to her body
not all cgi costumes are good and necessary and i think a lot of big budget films absolutely waste money on vfx they don't need, but the idea that oh, costumes are worse now because we cgi everything and we do that because productions don't want to pay costumers is just - absolute nonsense
