The line between us (Part-2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis : The guy slowly unfolds his feelings for her while she does everything to prove herself.
Genre : Enemies to lovers.
Warnings : idk if this is called suggestive
Not proofread (terrible grammatical errors and some spelling mistakes)
More under cut ~
Just working hard wasn't an option. She had to prove it to him why she was one of the best Sales manager their company had.
So that is what Kriti did. She worked day and night. Visited places and interacted with customers. Tried to bring as many changes as she could. Hired more people. Made more teams to work under her.
Aadarsh, on the other side, kept thinking about her. There was something stingingly good and bad about her. In the very first meet, he grew a strong dislike towards her. But he couldn't identify why. He just didn't like her demeanor. But also, a small, tiny part inside him craved her. That part wanted to know more about her. Become close to her. Grab her attention. This was so unlike Aadarsh. He never had such mixed feelings for anyone. He always had been clear whether he liked a person or not.
This kind of worried him. But he didn't have to worry more. More work was piling up for him and mainly, Kriti was ready to show him.
Next meeting day
As Kriti showed her presentation and explained the pluses and minuses, she could feel a strong gaze burning through her skin. She didn't dare to look at that direction 'cause she was sure she would get distracted and won't be able to complete her presentation.
Completing her part, she asked "Any questions ?"
"Yes", Aadarsh answered.
She was more than ready for him.
"Yes Sir"
"What skills do you prioritize when hiring new Sales team members ?"
Thinking for a second, Kriti listed all the points she prioritize and explained them.
"Tell me Ms. Kriti, do you really think you're doing a good job ? I want an honest answer."
"Ofcourse Sir. I do think I'm doing a good job. I might not be the best sales manager but I know I do my portion perfectly, perfect enough for any unnecessary questions.", she answered.
"Well, let me open your eyes. You cannot handle all of your work. To show me what you can do you took up so much work and completed them in a haphazard way...." and he went on, trying to point out loopholes. As each second passed by, Kriti grew more and more angry and also, started feeling humiliated.
"I'll help you with your work."
It caught her off guard. But she regained herself and said, "Thank you sir but I don't need that much help."
"I'm doing a favour. And I'll do it. I don't want your permission."
Times like these made Kriti disgrace her position. She wanted to become the top one in the company, so that nobody had the courage to say such things.
Okaying to the response, they resumed the meeting.
Kriti agreed to work overtime. More because she wanted to show "Mr. COO" how perfect she is with her work.
She was doing some paperwork, when she heard the door of her office open and close. There he was, Aadarsh Mukherjee, with beautifully pleated pants and beige shirt, rolled up sleeves and rimless contacts.
"You might not know that you should knock before entering someone's room."
"I am the COO. I don't need to do such manners."
"I don't care if you're the COO or CEO. Manners are manners."
Raising an eyebrow, he glared at her. Walking towards her, he tried to regain his composure and said, "Sorry ma'am, I'll keep that in mind."
Wow. That was very unlike him. Kriti stared at him for few seconds, trying to digest what he just said.
"Shall we start ?"
"W-what ?"
"The work, ofcourse."
"Oh. Yes."
After working straight for an hour, an argument broke out between them.
"Sir, that's not how this works."
"You don't teach me how it works, I've done it like this for years and it worked like magic. Try to learn new things Kriti."
"You're the one who's not trying to learn new things."
"I've come here to teach you new things."
"So what? That doesn't mean you can't adopt new styles in the mean time."
Huffing, Aadarsh replied slowly, "Okay Kriti, I'll learn it. But can you learn this for now ?"
"I'll learn that when I need it. If the work gets completed smoothly the-"
He trapped her between his thick arms and the table. His eyes pierced through her skin. Kriti was dumbfounded. She just looked at his eyes, searching for something, something which will explain what was happening between them. They felt each other's energies. The attraction.
"Try. To. Learn. Kriti." He paused between every word.
Kriti couldn't focus. The surroundings suddenly grew thick and the space felt smaller. As his face came dangerously close to hers, Kriti could sense her heart hip-hopping inside the cage. She didn't want this. Then why isn't she pushing him away ? Why is she letting his cologne intoxicate her mind ?
Before thinking further or breaking the limits, Aadarsh said, "Let's be patient and learn things, alright ?"
"Okay", her voice was barely above a whisper.
Leaving her, he sat down on the chair and continued the work.
She thought that he didn't care about what happened few moments ago, but little did she knew that he was losing it. His heart drummed inside his wide chest and his hands were sweaty. He wanted to slap himself for this sudden behavior, but he also loved that feeling.
He did the what was forbidden in his life. He fell in love.
Is he going to go further or take a step back ? Will Kriti acknowledge the emotions which are buried deep inside her or stay with her initial hatred for him ?

Worse than before but okay. I'll try again.

GI Blues Review
Tumblr media
This film will be held independent of Elvis' behind the scenes situation. To maintain a certain level of fairness, I'm only going to judge the film based on what we're given and not compare it to other films he made. I will at least make a note of problematic scenes by modern standards, but will ultimately judge it as if I'm watching it when it was first released.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
You know I had to include this. There's also a legitimate reason why I added this. The beginning of the film is basically just "this is Tulsa, his friends and his superior officer". We get a chance to learn about these characters and how they interact with each other. We get to know that Tulsa is bad at giving back money, is kind of a snarky sarcastic person, and constantly wants the Sgt.'s money to fund his own desire to own a nightclub.
We also know that Tulsa is good with women giving us the idea that he's a playboy type willing to do whatever it takes to be with a girl. The tavern scene shows how he's willing to do what it takes to get an audition, but he actually has talent when he sings. The songs he does sing do its job of saying "Elvis is back but different this time, also we're in Germany". The owner's impressed and gives him the $300. The Sgt. wants his cut but Tulsa legitimately offers him a partnership deal for their nightclub, demonstrating his shrewd but legal business practices. We see that his offer is legit when we see the Sgt. sign a contract. Even when he got in a fight with another soldier, he did pay the owner for the damage and express regret for breaking his glass door.
Tumblr media
The plot gets interesting here with the concept of a bet between two groups of soldiers about getting a night alone with a cold dancer named Lili. I hate the concept of a woman being cold just because she doesn't want to date a guy. The fact that the soldiers are willing to bet money on one of them being with her shows they don't see women as actual people, but an opportunity for financial gain. They originally have Dynamite, a member of Tulsa's squadron, do it. Tulsa had nothing to do with the bet other than contributing his own money in the event that winning would mean getting enough money to get the nightclub.
When Dynamite gets transferred to Alaska for getting in trouble with some German fathers, Tulsa doesn't volunteer to take his place. It takes a lot of convincing from the guys and the threat of losing his money to get him to agree. He didn't want to do it, because he doesn't want to use his skills at wooing women to be used that way. This is interesting because even though he's willing ogle at a girl that shows interest in him and was willing to bet money too, he respects women enough to not date them for the sake of the bet itself. It's interesting how his actions have layers to them. As for Frankfort Special, this song doesn't add anything. There's no reason for a song to be here other than "it's just a song the soldiers want to sing to pass time". It's not bad, but it's skippable.
Tumblr media
I immediately feel better about how the bet plot is being executed. You could've easily had Tulsa take Cookie's role of just lying and exaggerating his accomplishments to impress Lili. Tulsa singing Shoppin' Around doesn't standout but it does the job of him just singing a song to fulfill the paid request that he didn't even make. He could've just followed Cookie's lead and maintain the lies he told. Instead, Tulsa basically tells Cookie to go away and lets Lili take charge of where they want to go. He also immediately tells Lili that everything Cookie said was just bunk and that he was nothing but a low class guy from a Cherokee family.
Lili tells the truth too by saying she just wanted to get away from the grabby customer so she wouldn't have to apologize. This is a real problem that exists today so good for the movie to let Lili essentially get away with what she did. Lili isn't cold at all with Tulsa here. So far, she's the one that invited him to get something to eat and also enjoyed the song Tulsa sang in the restaurant. Tonight's So Right For Love is a typical Elvis ballad, but it still sounds nice. It also shows that Tulsa isn't just doing this to impress Lili, he was asked to explain what "ooze" meant. Lili doesn't fall in love with him here, but she doesn't have to yet.
Tumblr media
It makes sense because it works with her conversation with Tulsa on stereotypes. He says that people should get to know someone before making assumptions, a message that actually fits the movie well. So far Tulsa hasn't been the playboy we thought he was going to be, nor has Lili been as cold as the other soldiers said she was. These are just two adults living their own lives and wanting to just exist in the same space together, not as lovers but just friends. And they both seem to be ok with that.
Unrelated, but Cookie and Tina's relationship is pointless. You didn't need Lili to have a roommate to have the story work. Sure it's a comedy, but it isn't important to the plot to have Cookie get a love interest or give Lili a roommate. You can have Lili say she has to go to bed to get ready for tomorrow. Tulsa not wanting to push himself on her, can mention getting a pass and wanting to go sightseeing asking if she can show him around. It's still the same outcome of the soldiers getting made at Tulsa for not being with her, but it's written in a way that contributes to the plot.
Tumblr media
This was a great way to show the progression of Lili and Tulsa's relationship. You can tell that there's chemistry between the two but Lili doesn't want things to go too fast. Even though Tulsa does try to show Lili that he's interested in being more than just friends, he doesn't completely blow her off when she just wants to tell him trivia about German tourist attractions and landmarks. He respects what she has to say and is willing to let her take him places. The stereotype of her being cold is a serious problem that exists even to this day and the fact that this was the basis of the entire bet shows how the soldiers didn't view her as a woman with feelings.
However, I like the way we see Tulsa and therefore the movie address this. The burden is on Tulsa to show Lili that he's perfectly ok with just going sightseeing with her. He doesn't have an agenda or plans to woo her at this point. If he did, he wouldn't have taken her to the puppet show and sang in front of the children. The puppet show scene shows how Tulsa doesn't care about possibly making a fool of himself if it means keeping the children happy. He didn't get paid for doing it and Lili didn't "reward" him for his kindness. Wooden Heart is a lovable song that isn't supposed to be mind blowing or heartwarming. It's just a song meant to entertain children and makes sense to include here. This isn't something thrown in just to have Elvis sing, there's actual build up and has an effect on Tulsa's relationship with Lili.
Tumblr media
This whole sequence is beautiful. We see how Lili falls for Tulsa by just enjoying the little things with him. Tulsa didn't have to do anything over the top to win Lili here. Pocketful of Rainbows is a beautiful song that for once, is a duet. Lili is a lovely singer and it would make sense for her to bond with Tulsa this way. He just sings a song with her and enjoys traveling around seeing the sights with her. I love how we see that Lili is not the cold woman the soldiers said she was. She's only cold because she wants to keep herself safe from grabby customers that won't say no. I love that the movie goes the length of showing that she has her reasons for keeping her distance and that she's also willing to give Tulsa a chance.
This scene also reflects who Tulsa really is. He doesn't consider himself as being a nice guy who deserves to have Lili just because he doesn't flirt with her the way other guys do. He's willing to be with her knowing that she doesn't owe him her time or anything more than just a tour. We see how he cares about her feelings when he's contemplating being in a bet knowing that he actually loves Lili. Tulsa shows his morality by wanting to call off the bet knowing that if Lili finds out, it would break her heart. A stereotypical Elvis film wouldn't have had that emotional maturity to have Elvis' character think about the consequences of his actions.
Tumblr media
Throughout the film, another friend of Tulsa's, Rick, is trying to get back together with his girlfriend Marla. She has a baby boy and didn't want to see him because she thought he cheated on her. She had her landlady protect her secret by refusing to tell him where she lived. I'm not complaining about this plot point, I think it works to set up why Tulsa has to babysit. Only thing I have to say is, if Marla had that good of a relationship with her landlady, why couldn't she babysit for them? If they just had a line saying the landlady was out of town after she did her job to reconcile the couple, it would make more sense for Tulsa to take on this role.
I do appreciate how from the very beginning he admits that he doesn't know what he's doing. He at least tries to calm down the baby who he calls "Tiger" since Marla never named him. He tries to get the milk but breaks the bottle. How only the contents inside the fridge fell on the floor like that, I have no clue. I think it would've been funnier if he pulls the handle so hard, it breaks off. Again same result, but a different path. Him calling Lili isn't contrived because even though he broke off their date and gave her space, he didn't have anyone else to turn to. Plus, Lili gives him permission to come over instead of him just forcing himself on her. It shows with 100% certainty that she still loves Tulsa even though he broke off their date. She could've easily thought he was lying just to be with her, but she didn't. If anything, she seemed excited to be with him from the very beginning. She really loves him just like he loves her.
Tumblr media
Big Boots is adorable. I almost cried from this song it was that touching. This is Tulsa McLean. He's not just a snarky, sarcastic playboy type. He genuinely wants to do his best to take care of the baby. He didn't know what to do so he listened to Lili and sang "Tiger" a lullaby. He didn't think it was embarrassing, he just didn't know what would be appropriate to sing as a lullaby.
You would think that Tulsa purposely waking him up just to stay with Lili would be manipulative but Lili's reaction to the baby crying says otherwise. She was over the moon with happiness to know that Tulsa wouldn't be leaving. My main problem is that Cookie keeping Tina away from the apartment is pointless. If the bet was to have Tulsa be with Lili alone, then he failed. The baby was with them the whole time meaning they weren't alone. I know the soldiers and Cookie doesn't know that, but when it's brought up later, it means that Tulsa shouldn't have won that bet. He was with the baby and Lili so he failed to be alone with her, meaning he lost the bet.
Tumblr media
When I first saw this film, I thought the ending was rushed in that it introduced some last second drama, only to have it be immediately resolved. After looking over my notes again, it makes sense why this scene happened. Earlier in the film, Dynamite was transferred for getting in trouble with German fathers, setting a precedence. When one of the commanding officers heard about Tulsa and the bet, that preceding action was called into play, making it necessary to at least question Tulsa's intent. He was never charged with a crime, so once Lili was able to clear his name by verifying his story, the matter was over.
Lili finding out about the bet also made sense since she saw some soldiers getting paid right after Tulsa left her place. Even though Tulsa has previously explained that he needed to babysit for his friend, she had no way of knowing if this friend set it up that way. She needed to see "Tiger" and Marla to find out that Tulsa was telling the truth. Normally the lie about the bet would've been revealed at the beginning of act 3. She would've thought Tulsa needing her help with the baby was a lie so she would say no to him, only to later realize he was telling the truth when she sees Tiger and Marla at the end. The movie not falling into that trap of cliche writing was a pleasant surprise.
Tumblr media
I like the way the film ends with one final song that makes sense given the context. Having Tulsa sing Didja Ever doesn't feel like it was thrown in just so Elvis could sing right before the end credits. We knew about the Air Force show way before it was shown and that Tulsa wanted to perform there. This scene feels like we got to see a conclusion to Tulsa's character arc. He got his chance to perform at the show and managed to get Lili. It's even implied that because the show was such a big success, Tulsa might get a chance at getting that night club.
What makes this ending work even more, is that Tulsa actually earns his happy ending. He proves himself as a likable protagonist by showing his morals throughout the film. Even though he was shrewd with the Sgt. he had the Sgt. sign a legitimate contract making him a partner. When he's met with conflict at the end, he remains humble and honest. We want him to succeed because when others think he's lying about why he was with Lili and about the bet, we see that he was in the right. We see how he had no idea how to handle the baby and how from the beginning was hesitant about being a part of the bet. It was because of his honesty that Rick, Marla and Lili were able to vouch for his honor, getting him out of trouble.
Tumblr media
This movie summarizes what Tulsa said earlier in the film about how the world would be a better place if we didn't judge others based on stereotypes. The film at face value looks like a prototype of the typical Elvis vehicle where Elvis plays playboy that wants to get the girl no matter what. GI Blues doesn't play into those stereotypes by giving Tulsa an actual backstory and desires outside of wanting to be with Lili. Lili isn't a stereotype either by having a reason for being cold and actually falls for Tulsa because of the little things they did together.
Since I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable this film was, I give an 8 out 10. It won't win any awards nor did I expect it to. The plot isn't groundbreaking and there were some plot holes, but it wasn't enough to take me out of the film. If you like Elvis films, this is definitely worth rewatching. If you're new to the fandom, this is a good film to introduce yourself to what to expect from an Elvis vehicle. Even if you're not an Elvis fan, this is still a good way to spend about 2 hours.

My next review is Loving You and will take a bit longer to publish. I plan to finish by the end of September. I'm still trying to figure out what's the best way to format my reviews so if anyone has feedback feel free to share. If you had a different opinion about something, feel free to share that too. I'm willing to give these films as fair a shot as possible while still maintaining my own opinion on it.

Tailor!Reader in Dream SMP
Dsmp x reader prompt; Tailor!Reader in Dream SMP. Credit would be appreciated so more people can find this and make their own things based on it.
Can fully be read as platonic. GN!reader with they/them pronounce as a placeholder so anyone can adapt it however they want. Both general and character specific parts included.
Characters who have a lot written for/about; Eret, Ranboo, Foolish, Tommy, Technoblade, Philza and Michael. Mentioned; Tubbo, Sam Nook, Purpled and Foolish Jr.
This ended up being super long so I’m putting it under the cut in order not to clutter people’s pages. My personal favourite part is Phil’s and Techno’s part. These could be read as headcanons but are still available as a prompt(s) to use for anyone.
------------------------------
The reader joining after the doomsday as a time frame in my mind.
The reader helping people patch up their current clothes since most of it got pretty banged up during the doomsday, and it's not like they can just go get a new outfit since quite a few people had just lost all their belongings and only had the clothes on their back. So at first prioritizing helping patch up the current clothing people were wearing and then moving on to making some simple fast to make and easy on the resources clothes for people. Just like basic shirts and shorts/pants, nothing fancy. Then when everyone has at least a couple of different clothes to change to and from starting their own business to sell people more if they wanted. However waving payment if they brought them the materials and what they wanted wasn't overly complicated.
People at first thinking they are just some chump who knows basic sewing or something. A very kind chump, but still a chump. So imagine their surprise when one day they are just walking by the reader's now established tailors and they see these absolutely stunning designs displayed at the windows.
Just like their reactions seeing these beautiful designs they can't help but stare at. I'd imagine some of them just doing a double take when they walk by, someone pressing their face up to the glass trying to see it closer, the braver ones going inside and talking to the reader about their designs and the more anxious and/or shy ones only going inside when the reader isn't there to look at designs closer.
And the reasons they like/are amazed by the designs vary also ! Some just have monkey brain that goes "Pretty. WANT", some who just love the colour and art of the pieces, some who imagine how epic this design or others would look on them, some who love the fashion aspect of it and of course the very small portion who actually know anything about tailoring/sewing and the amount of work that goes into making something intricate.
Some specific character/group interactions I thought of;
Making warm well insulated clothes for people moving to Snowchester so they don't freeze. +A warm cape for Ranboo for the same reason.
Eret being one of the firsts (if not the first) to get himself a fully tailored and customized outfit. Them also being the first and very possibly only person to get a dress or a skirt since most of the other people on the server prefer to wear pants (excluding maid dresses which people might get as joke). The reader crying in joy for getting to design something different for once. And hey if the reader ends up making a few extra ones that she didn't order, but decided to give her anyway it was all just some extra ones they had lying around, never mind the fact that the dresses/skirts are perfectly tailored for Eret and are her style. Just a coincidence, nothing suspicious there. Eret also models for the reader and once he even convinced them to hold a fashion show to showcase some of their work to the whole server. Of course he was the main model presenting the outfits.
At start of the reader beginning to display their designs at their shop Ranboo sees a really cool looking suit on display and his brain just goes "Want." He probably wouldn't be able to buy anything pre-made and be comfortable in it due to his physique. And him having just moved into the arctic and only starting to get settled in, he doesn't have comfortable enough funds for him to get something as expensive as a custom tailored suit AND have enough for any possible rent that he might be required to pay.
Eventually when he gets richer he starts considering getting one but the anxious side of him always ends up winning and he doesn't. However once he finally gets the courage to go commission the suit for himself he doesn't regret it at all. The reader did their best to not overwhelm him and to make it the best possible experience. Just imagining the absolute joy he would feel for having a properly fitting suit that's made just for him, not too short sleeves nor too wide torso and shoulders, just perfect. If he ends up ordering a couple more suits that's between him and the reader. He actually ends up probably being their most frequent and reliable customer.
And we should all know why that is, but let me clarify just in case; Michael.
The reader basically becoming Michael's personal stylist (/hj) . Not only does Ranboo buy a god awful amount of clothes for Michael, the reader also makes some free ones for him. The free ones are things the reader felt like designing since they absolutely adore Michael and the ones Ranboo pays for are commissioned by him. Michael absolutely has the biggest wardrobe in the whole server. The reader learning how to make plushies so Michael could have some more toys, this learning experience including learning to crochet and knit to see what he like best.
Using their newly acquired plush making skills, the reader starts their quest to make some plushies for others after seeing people stare at the plushies wistfully either while they were working on them or seeing Michael with the plushies. People who got them include the minors, their close friends and basically anyone they thought might benefit from them. Some of the ones they made (that I could think of);
Of course a bee for Tubbo, but also throwing in a little ram one as well
Ranboo gets a grass block plush/pillow
Tommy gets a cobblestone block plush and a cow plush. He also later receives a Sam Nook plush while he's working on the hotel
Purpled getting two different sized ufos, one to hold and the other more of a big pillow
Eret definitely gets a flamingo plush
Foolish gets a totem and a gold block plushies
Phil gets crow plush as well these tiny fake coin and gem plushies (the latter causes problems for him which I'll expand upon later)
Techno gets a pig one as well as polar bear one
Back to the individual/group part
The reader just chilling w/ Foolish as a fellow artists. Them talking about both their arts and catching up every time the reader comes to deliver something to Snowchester when Foolish is building the mansion. Just two pretty peaceful artists talking about their passions. I’d imagine Foolish and the reader could relate to each other and their place in the server due to their similar hobbies/jobs as well as their similar time of joining the server. Foolish's first commission from them being an intricate blanket for Foolish Jr so he could have a more comfortable resting place. He may or may not end up receiving that and several other (though less intricate) blankets as well as a tiny shark plush to give to Foolish Jr. Later on when the reader gets better at either knitting or crocheting they end up making a tiny shark jumper with a hood for Foolish Jr as well. Foolish would definitely cry when he sees his tiny shark baby. Any commissions of clothes for himself tend to always take some time due to sheer amount of work needing to be done due to his size so he always makes sure the reader doesn’t already have a lot on their plate and that they know he’s fine with waiting if they need to take a break from it.
Then there's Tommy, who they sometimes teach more about sewing since he already knows some basics. Him probably being the first person aside from Michael they make a plush for, due to him demanding one once he saw the reader making them. Then proceeding to get three plushies in rapid succession. The first being the cobblestone, the second being the cow and the third one being the Sam Nook one. He ends up losing one of them during the prison fiasco and when the reader asks if he'd like a new one they only get the answer of "Don't want to think about what happened and the same one might make me do that". He then promptly receives new clothing (so he isn't wearing the same ones he was wearing in prison) and some extra blankets (for comfort) from the reader.
After Tommy meeting Michael does he use him to scam the reader to make them matching outfits for free? Yes, yes he does. Does it work? Yes, yes it does. Are they bothered by it? Not really, they look adorable in their matching outfits.
The reader being the source for Sam Nook's construction gear/clothes or at least the original patterns for them.
And then there's the arctic boys (minus Ranboo, who will still get mentioned) who are an interesting bunch clothing wise. The first one to commission the reader out of them would be Phil who got the original warm cape for Ranboo but also at the same time commissioned one for himself that would include slits for his wings. Eventually getting to design clothing for him which is always an exciting challenge with his wings. And when Phil finally manages to convince Techno to get something made for himself as well, Techno almost immediately gets addicted to having high quality clothing when they finish their first piece for him. The fun the reader has designing clothes for these boys is immeasurable with their different styles and needs in the clothing. Aside from clothing Techno also commissions them for a pet bed for Steve.
When the boys got their plushies it was adorable but also a very chaotic. Techno giving his pig one to Steve so he wouldn't miss him when he was away from home, but also bringing the polar bear one with him when he couldn't or wasn't allowed to bring Steve with him but still needed comfort. While on Phil's side of things; he was showing his crows the crow plushie joking about he'll replace them if they aren't careful however he made the mistake of showing them the tiny coin and gem plushies as well. I want you to imagine hundreds of crows descending upon this poor fool of a man in the background while the reader is walking away hoping they like their plushies.
The war that ensued the couple following days amongst the crows starts to cool down but the bickering doesn't, every waking moment Phil can feel eyes on him and one or more of the crows coming to complain about the others having had the shiny plushies for too long. He quickly caves under the pressure and commissions more of the tiny shiny treasure plushies. And by more I mean a lot more.
When he finally has enough of the things he goes around distributing them to the crows. Finally a moment of peace, but he still feels like something is staring at him occasionally. Deciding to ignore it since it's finally quiet he goes to makes himself a cup of tea and while waiting for the water to boil he fishes out the few shiny plushies he had saved for himself. The second he does he feels eyes burning into him and now that it's quiet he hears it, quiet muffled snuffles and snorts of discontent. Then he sees what ‘it’ is, it's Techno behind the window looking at the shinies in his hand with such intensity Phil fears for his life (/hj). Phil just sighs deeply before walking over to the window and opening it. For a second Techno looks like a deer in headlights before returning to intensely staring at the shinies in Phil's hand before Phil just dumps the shiny plushies into Techno's hand and closes the window. Happy piglin noises can be heard outside while Phil debates the pros (getting to have shinies himself) and cons (the embarrassment of having to commission even more of the shiny plushies than he already has) of getting new ones from the reader. And in all this the reader has no idea the amount of chaos they inadvertently caused.
And finally; Techno commissioning robes/cloaks for whole the Syndicate to wear in their meetings, because he’s dramatic like that. But since he’s a thoughtful guy, he wants them all to fit the members well and not be uncomfortable to wear so he gets everyone’s measurements. Once he has them all he goes to the reader with the order for the robes, he has all the measurements written down under just Person 1, Person 2 etc. to keep their anonymity and when asked what the robes are for he just tells the reader it’s a book club. When he gets them all and the reader asks no further questions he thinks he’s gotten away with getting some cool robes for the Syndicate with their secrets safe. Little does he know the reader actually now knows all the members in the Syndicate since they can just reference the gotten measurements with everyone’s measurements written down from previous work done by them. Whether the reader thinks it’s some weird cult they all are a part of or just an actual book club people are too embarrassed to admit they are in, is up to interpretation.

ot7!enhypen x gn!reader, fluff, warnings: mentions of (jokingly) dying, swear words, reader’s in a maid outfit in jay’s one but no mentions of a certain gender, word count: 3.3k
a/n most of these aren’t the same as the animes mentioned but instead just inspired or loosely inspired by the plot! also some of these aren’t the same in word count and i apologise for that ]:
∷ heeseung — orange
heeseung as the new kid at school and he’s so pretty that everyone just. Stops in place and just stares at him as he introduces himself
funnily enough you already saw this coming, realising this was the same heeseung the letter you received that morning told you about
what was funnier was the fact that letter was coming from the future you
you didn’t believe it Then because like... it kinda sounds too stupid to be true
but then BOOM there heeseung is
your teacher makes him sit beside you and you’re just trying to wrap your head around how crazy all of this is
your letter even told you that he was going to sit beside you, why was all of this coming true????
you didn’t read on because you were in a rush to get to school but maybe if that letter warned you about how pretty he was, you wouldn’t of been that flustered when he started talking to you
“hey i’m heeseung!” “ummm yeah, i’m y/n... yeah”
when school ends you RACE home to get to that letter again
rest of heeseung + of the members under the cut!
your future self was gonna have a lot of explaining to do...
turns out the future you Let this same heeseung walk out of your life so now you have to fix this
“dear past me, i can’t believe i was this stupid to let him leave my life like this— how stupid am i??”
now you make it your mission to keep your barely started relationship not go rocky
and oh boy would that be a challenge for the years to come
not because heeseung’s a terrible bf, future you just gave terrible tips
everyday after that you and heeseung (like the letter said) turned into great friends
great friends as in friends that people think that are dating
soon that friendship became a relationship... and a very strong one to be honest
your letters were weirdly very accurate
a firework festival... how he confessed to you... all of it was in those letters
honestly you should scold them for letting heeseung get away!!
you secretly wanna tease them that YOU have heeseung by your side and they don’t but... you can’t really do that
you tell heeseung about the letters one day and he just. Stares at you in astonishment
because he also received letters on the same day you got them from future him too
turns out future you and heeseung both regret their decision
poor them but at least present you gets to kiss heeseung whenever you want 😇
not to spoil anything but heeseung didn’t end up walking out of your life <3 instead you two are now sickly in love
∷ jay — maid-sama
you work at a maid café mainly because you needed the money and honestly... it wasn’t even that bad of a job
i mean compared to your school president life — trying to keep teenage boys out of trouble — happily serving polite and friendly (most of the time) customers was definitely a steal
one boy in particular gave you a bit more trouble than the rest of them however
he wasn’t bad or anything, just... a serial heart breaker
jay park was always on your radar due to the fact so many people would go up to you asking you to tell him to be nicer with his rejections
he wasn’t complied to be nicer but 😍 what can you do
safe to say that you didn’t think you had the best relationship with him
you couldn’t understand him even more when you saw him prettily sitting at the tables at your work
may i add, with you in your very own maid outfit as well as a twitching eye
“y/n! looking great” “thanks m-ma-mas—” “your customer service is terrible”
and the fact he came every day after that day made you feel Terrified
and also a little excited to go to work but you’d never admit that!!!
having him stare at you while you cheerily wrote with ketchup on omelettes was... definitely not how you thought your relationship would be like
he would also make small talk too
and visit you after your shift!!! walking you home
now... his daily visits turned into genuine great conversations on the way home
you realised he wasn’t as bad as you made him out to be
he just had strong beliefs that he should only accept a confession if it’s from someone he loves
you didn’t know how... but now You Have Feelings For him.
and seeing him when smile at you every time you serve him at that little maid café... ARGGGG it drove you absolutely mad
the way he oozed out confidence... was sweet and quite literally the prettiest person you’ve ever seen... how could you not
and what other way to confess to him than at the very place your relationship blossomed at!
you wrote “i like you” with ketchup on fried rice for him... yeah
thankfully he was over the moon and Had to hold back kissing you in front of the customers
now you two were dating <3 with the help of a maid café
and that really only left you with one more question
“why did you start visiting this maid café in the first place?”
∷ jake — kimi no todoke
being the quiet student is never. a good thing
especially when you’re ostracised by your class because you never participate
you actually want to but you can’t build any confidence to do so
you never caught the attention of anyone
well... besides a certain popular boy by the name of jake sim
oh boy was this gonna be a culture shock to the girls that have a crush on him
he noticed you on the first day of school when you asked him for directions to your classroom
he won’t ever forget it, the way you had a huge excited smile on his face as the cherry blossoms fell softly around you
he quotes, it looked like you came straight out of heaven because it looked like you had wings on you
he didn’t know how to get your attention though.
every time he tried to do so you wouldn’t even look at him and would just look down at your desk
it hurt him to see you so isolated
that’s when he had the bright idea to ask you if you wanted to walk with him home
bad idea (kinda), because you did accept but you didn’t know what to do the whole time because you’ve never walked home with someone before
it was bad enough that jake was absolutely Stunning. like blindingly attractive
you didn’t know what to say at all
well until you came across a small puppy making it’s way up to the two of you
they were so cute that you just squealed out of excitement
jake was so surprised to hear Something from you that he just instantly put on this huge genuine grin
“there’s no tag on them!” your upsetting tone sent jake into haywire
he literally watched you pet that dog with literal heart eyes he wasn’t even being sutble
he takes a picture of you and he Stupidly leaves the ringer on so you hear him and everything
he was so embarrassed about it
“did you just take a picture of me?” “y-yeah” “oh... is that what people do?”
you literally had no idea how to interact with people so you thought what he did was Normal
somehow this caused jake’s crush on you to develop Quick
especially when you grabbed his hand to pull you closer to the dog
his heart was beating so fast he didn’t know what to do
he is self proclaimed the biggest dog lover but for some reason... he wasn’t even looking at the dog, not even trying to play with it
he was just staring at you with his doting eyes as you smiled and giggled while playing with the dog
he wasn’t gonna confess yet though because he still has to develop your relationship
in true shoujo romance anime fashion, he was gonna confess twelve episodes (probably a year) later <3
∷ sunghoon — ao haru ride
no i definitely did not put sunghoon for ao haru ride because i have a huge crush on kou and sunghoon... /s
you and sunghoon were in the same elementary class because... fate
you had the biggest crush on him and even your mom knew him because he was a well known figure skater
but who didn’t have a crush on him was the real question
being the young confident elementary student you were, you always talked to him
forever talking to him to the point where you two were Actually really good friends
you thought you were on cloud9
but. turns out figure skating takes a lot more training than you had thought so
you literally cried Buckets and Buckets when you found out he had to train in like russia for an unsure amount of time
there was no way on contacting him too since you had no phone, no nothing
so he left. and you didn’t know what to do with yourself
ok flash forward noises
now you’re in high school! still... gripping onto that crush you have on sunghoon
but you think it’s fine since you are Functioning without him i guess
well until you bump into someone with a very familiar voice...
“watch where you’re going” talk about passive Aggressive 🤨
and when you look up because obviously you were gonna start yelling at him
well. You just froze in shock when you were faced with sunghoon’s raised eyebrow smirking at you
and what was the logical thing to do apparently?
cry. right in front of him.
he just froze as he watched you sob while everyone stared at him
he was trying to explain himself while at the same time Dragging you Away because he couldn’t let you just cry in the middle of the hallway
now you two were at the top of some stairway as you sniffled recovering from your endless crying
“why were you crying? “how could i not when you’re here?”
turns out that sunghoon Knew you were at the same school as him but wanted you to figure it out yourself
it took you almost six months. to figure out sunghoon was in your grade.
but what next? do you rekindle your friendship or...
“i’ve changed” okay maybe that answered your question
and before he could even explain himself he just... Got up and left????? for no reason
and that’s when tsundere sunghoon started to come into play.
you constantly tried talking to him but it would end up with the two of you bickering
you walked home the same way too
weirdly enough He was very nice to you sometimes
letting you place your head on his shoulder, lovingly smiling at you, being very Oddly romantic
he was giving you mixed signals.
and there came that old elementary school crush... gearing back up for a second round
“what are we?” now you decided being bold was the right thing to do
he just stared at you and shrugged.
now here comes the water works
you started crying uncontrollably Again but this time sunghoon looked really guilty and comforted you
he even hugged you. (Wow... Development)
he then explained to you that he Likes you (omg) but he’s scared that he might have to pack up and leave you again and he doesn’t want you to get too attached
and you’re like “we have each other’s numbers this time though?”
sunghoon’s just like Ohhhh
that’s how you started dating
and rekindled that elementary crush (successfully)
∷ sunoo — toilet-bound hanako-kun
being the bold and adventurous person you are. You decided to call onto your school’s very own ghost
because you had the biggest crush on this upperclassman you needed the support of a Spirit to help you
“ummmm hey... school spirit, i’m kinda in love with someone and i heard—” “hi” and then you fall onto the ground because something scares you
turns out the spirit’s name is sunoo and you just summoned him
it also turns out this spirit was kinda cute 😟
he had offered you something like a book — telling you if you follow all the rules — you’ll end up dating your crush
turns out it was just a middle school romance book you could of bought at dollar tree.
you were rightfully mad at him Since all you did was end up embarrassing yourself
somehow during your argument, your eyes caught a glimpse of something in his pocket
you took it. because you deserved it
and ATE IT when sunoo told you that it grants you any wish when consumed
you didn’t even need to listen to any of the disclaimers because it was already in your stomach
one things turns into another and now you’re a spiritually bound fish to sunoo.
turns out what you ate was mermaid scales and he needed to eat one too so you could turn human (he told you he can’t explain it because it’s a long story!)
you two are now bonded together (4lyfe 🥺🤞) and you aren’t that happy due to the fact he was always teasing you and playing around with you!!!!
you were now his human assistant.
you helped him with cleaning the toilets and he helped you by saving you from the supernatural
very well balanced relationship
you grew very fond of sunoo as time went on
even though you almost died a few times... he was always there to save you from whatever the spiritual world had to offer
i won’t spoil anything but... school spirit sunoo seemed to have a soft spot for you too 😇
you showed him your passion for art and everything like that
you tried to dodge questions about the... y’know... why he was a spirit
knowing that it would probably hurt him
plus he didn’t have all those things coming after him for nothing
falling in love with a ghost wasn’t what... you were expecting when you first joined your school
but i guess you had no choice since he was spiritually bound to you!
∷ jungwon — whisper of the heart
you loved the library dearly, you loved reading and writing— just books in general
your favourite place was a really big cosy library a few minutes away from your house
you had always borrowed more than three books every visit
and every time you would look at who borrowed the book, the same exact name would show up each book you borrowed
“yang jungwon... he seems to have good taste in books”
you would dreamily sigh thinking about what this jungwon looked like
later on in the week you were writing a story at the park— y’know, normal things
your friend called you out of the blue for some reason rushing for you to help them
out of panic you forgot your book on the bench and didn’t realise when you had finally finished helping out your friend
to your surprise there was already someone sitting on the bench
and Reading Your Very Own Story
you literally just run up to him and snatch it from his hands because you’re embarrassed!!!
what didn’t help was the fact that the first thing he did was Laugh in your face about it .
he called your story stupid!!! and critiqued it!!!!
you just bicker with him and complain to your friend about it later that night
the next day you thought that... maybe if you went to the library again you might spot this yang jungwon
so you make it your mission to get to the library
funnily enough your plan had failed in an instant when your eyes caught a cat that you just became curious about
you followed it because it just wouldn’t stop getting away from you
it also looked like it was taking you somewhere but 😦
after a tiring ten minutes of following this cat from hell and back. It brought you to this old antique shop
you instantly fell in love with the store and everything in it
you were so distracted by everything that you hadn’t realised someone was behind you
you could feel your eyes widen when you realised it was the same boy from the park
holding that same cat you were following too????
“why are you here?” his eyes literally started Squinting at you
he then proceeded to tell you about how his vocal lessons were nearby and more importantly that the cat was His
he asks you if you want to go visit where he does his lessons and Obviously being as curious as you were, you accepted
when he brought you there you could see his eyes instantly sparkle from just being there cute... kinda
he even started to sing for you and that’s when you thought that he wasn’t that bad
some of his teachers started to join in too and before you knew it, the sun was already gone and you’ve spent the whole time with some boy that you were supposed to hate
“jungwon, who’s your friend” your body Froze in shock when you heard that name
jungwon thought you were stupid for not knowing your name and now you realise you’ve been crushing on him this whole time
(i refuse to continue on more with this because it’ll be too long unless some of you want a oneshot of this 😍)
∷ ni-ki — haikyuu
being forced by your teacher to sign up to be some volleyball team’s manager was Not that fun to experience
but there you were, managing a volleyball practice of that very own team
thankfully, it was safe to say you had a good relationship with all of them
and an even Better relationship with a certain volleyball player
nishimura riki and you were practically glued to the hip
you were so incredibly thankful that he was the first one to speak to you when you first started becoming their manager
the rest of them were tall and scary but riki was just tall and friendly
he was so energetic and just So bright that you couldn’t help but look forward to seeing him every day you had practice
he would even teach you how to play volleyball
like he’d be like “isn’t this move so cool? let me teach you it!”
at this point you could be a professional volleyball player with the help of riki
you were overjoyed watching them win their final match to compete in the spring interhigh
you were also incredibly happy to know that riki scored the winning point
he couldn’t stop telling you about it and you just kept excitedly praising him and not to play favourites but you weren’t this excited when heeseung scored the previous winning point
even though you and your team were excited, you could feel how nervous they were when they entered the huge gymnasium
they were surrounded by all the best high school volleyball teams in the country
the very first team they went up against gave them a very Tough time
you remember sweating so hard when the scores were almost the same, the other team leading in that set
you decided that. Maybe you could help
“riki! you can do it” your shouting somehow caused riki to instantly become energised
everything was a blur up until your team had Won the match
and all because you gave riki some encouragement
he literally ran to you the second they had won and almost knocked you down
you didn’t wanna tell him that he was sweaty so you just let him carry on hugging you tightly
the rest of the team was like “why didn’t you cheer us on like you did with riki?”
and when you tried to explain your face just started heating up like crazy
so you ignored the subject.
riki just took it as he was your favourite
but what you didn’t want to tell them was the fact that you had a crush on him
as if it wasn’t obvious enough 😟

Yuri x popular Fem!reader
summary: fluffy fic in which the reader sees Yuri while working at a coffee shop and intends to be closer friends with her.
word count: 2.1k
"Y/N!"
You stop in your tracks, turning to scan the tables around you for the source of the voice; it was kind of familiar, and your eyes fall on a customer that's a regular here at the coffee shop. A young man around your age, usually here with his friends but alone today.
You had been about to go make another coffee for a different customer, but you force a service smile onto your face and hurry over to his table. "Hello!" You wrack your brain for a second to bring a name to this man- it wasn't easy keeping track of so many different people, and not just at your job! You also tried to keep tabs on the majority of your peers from school, too. Fortunately, it clicks a moment later. "Hatsumi, was everything alright?" You ask, noting he's already finished his pastry and drink.
Hatsumi grins, clearly pleased you had remembered him. Customers tended to get really happy over little things like that... if only they knew you did this with all of them. It was no secret you were one of the favorites here at the little shop, consistently getting better tips than many of your coworkers. "It was great!" He answers you brightly.
You nod and inquire politely, "Would you like me to go ahead and bring the bill out now?"
A moment of hesitation, and then, "Oh- uh, yes, thanks." He seems a bit disappointed, but you don't have time to dwell on it right now, not with how busy today's rush hour is. The only good thing is you're hopefully going to be getting off in about a half hour.
You assure him you'll be right back and then flit off to the counter to ring up the items he'd ordered and print the bill. As you're doing so, you feel a tap on your shoulder.
Glancing up, you see your favorite coworker, a girl several years older than you. "Y/N," she begins, a bit of a pleading look in her eyes that means she's about to ask you for a favor.
Biting back a sigh, you push down whatever annoyance you have at being interrupted to look expectantly at her. "What's up?"
"Can we please switch tables really quickly?" She practically begs you.
Switching tables wasn't too terribly uncommon- sometimes when guests came in, the baristas would know them outside of work and might ask a coworker to deal with the order and anything else.
"Sure," you giggle, ever the people-pleaser. You had a reputation to keep, after all! You don't like to brag, but you do enjoy the fact that you have many different friends and are well-liked by just about everyone you know. "Who?"
She gives a hop of delight. "Can I take the bill to Hatsumi?"
You can't help but smirk mischievously. "Ohhhhh, I see."
She lightly smacks you on the arm, instantly blushing. "Nono, I just-"
You cut her off before she can defend herself, knowing the two of you don't really have the time to waste playing around. "It's no worries. And who's that order for?" You question as you point at the circular silver tray in her hands which is holding a cute polka-dotted cup of tea.
"Ah, this goes to table three, the girl with the purple hair."
You nod, exchanging the bill for the tray. You want to watch and see what will happen between your friend and Hatsumi, if anything, but when you look towards the designated table, already heading for it, you realize you recognize the girl sitting there.
You have no trouble recalling her name. One of the members of your Literature Club, Yuri...
You haven't actually been in the club all that long at all, maybe a week-ish, and you feel like you haven't had any time at all to get properly acquainted with Yuri. Part of you feels that it's a shame, because you get the sense she's a very interesting and sweet person beneath her quiet and distant shell. It's just hard when she's always reading, and even in the rare moments she's not, she doubts herself so much during conversations with you that it just ends up being a bit weird.
But not today! No, you're suddenly filled with a sense of determination to get closer to Yuri.
You consider playfully scaring her when you walk up, but ultimately decide against it; aside from being naturally timid anyway, she's also, as usual, reading, and doesn't seem aware of anything going on in the shop around her. So, yeah, best to use a more gentle approach.
"Hey, you," you say, putting all the friendliness in your voice as possible, stopping beside the table to greet her.
In spite of everything, Yuri still jumps a bit in her seat, violet gaze flashing up to you in alarm.
'So much for trying not to scare her,' you think unhappily. Pushing that thought away, you give her a reassuring smile. "Sorry, it's just me! Y/N. We're in the Literature Club together," you try to remind her, wondering with a pang of horror if she's actually forgotten who you are. That would be a first for you.
A second of silence, but at last Yuri's tense grip on her book loosens, and she glances down at it, avoiding making eye contact. "O-Oh, I'm sorry."
Another awkward beat of silence. This was what you meant!! It always went like this with Yuri, and you wished more than anything that you knew how to make her more comfortable around you. Hoping to carry the burden of saving this interaction, you laugh nervously, "It's no worries! But, you didn't forget me, did you?" As much as you're just trying to joke around, there really is a slight feeling of hurt that that may very well have been the case.
Yuri stiffens, quickly answering, "No, I- I didn't!" It's a rushed response, louder than you've ever heard her speak and yet still quieter than most people's normal speaking voice. As if embarrassed by her small outburst, she ducks her head to add quietly, "Uhm, that is- I just meant that... I wouldn't ever forget you, Y/N."
Oh. Talk about giving someone butterflies. You never knew what to expect with Yuri- sometimes she could never get her words out, but then other times she'd say something with such a deep meaning that it would catch you entirely off guard. What's odd though is you know for a fact how truly sincere she is; Yuri is the type of person that's much deeper than most people, and she wouldn't say something if she didn't really think or believe it.
"Thank you, Yuri," you say warmly, setting her tea down near her on the table. "Here you go! I like this kind, too." Truthfully, since you hadn't taken the order yourself or even made the drink, you weren't 100% sure what kind of tea this was, but you were willing to try anything to make Yuri more at ease. It also wasn't unheard of for you to make conversation with customers, even if it was busier than usual right now- for once though, you weren't aiming to make a good tip or secure a regular customer. You genuinely wanted to talk with her. "Hey, is that the same book you're reading at the club?" You question after catching a glimpse of the cover art.
She shakes her head, causing some of her bangs to fall into her face. Brushing them out of the way, she frowns and then nods. "W-Well, kind of. I finished that one yesterday... this is the sequel," she explains.
"It must be pretty good if you want to read the next part already," you comment. "What's it about?"
As predicted, Yuri noticeably perks up. "Oh, I think you would really enjoy it, Y/N. It's about-"
"Y/N!"
You flinch at the stern voice of your shift supervisor, who apparently hadn't realized Yuri was speaking when he cut her off.
You glance back to see him gesturing at you in clear annoyance, motioning to the line of guests waiting for their drinks to be made. You nod, signaling you'll be right over.
Focusing back on Yuri, you're unable to mask your disappointment. "I'm sorry, I've gotta get back to work. I'm supposed to be off in a little bit though."
Yuri seems to also be discouraged, apologizing for keeping you, even though you're the one who had intentionally kept the talk going. She bites her lip, and then, probably overtaken by a brief moment of courage, suggests, "When you get off, maybe then I could tell you about the books?"
You're stunned, but at the same time, this was precisely what you'd been hoping for! "Yes, sure! That sounds great. I'll see you then!" You chirp, hurrying away.
The last of your shift passes by rather quickly, and when it comes time to clock out, you actually have to tell your supervisor no, you can't stay another extra hour even if they are busy, because you have plans! Normally you would have, but not today.
You meet Yuri at the door and the two of you leave the coffee shop together. The sun is close to setting, but not quite there yet. "Thank you again, Yuri! I like spending time with you, I've just been a little busy lately," you say.
Yuri mumbles something you can't quite hear, but then adds more clearly, "I-I'm glad..."
"So," you begin, clasping your hands behind you and beaming at her. "About those books!"
That's all it takes for Yuri to dive into an explanation of the main plot points as the two of you walk side by side towards your home.
You're more than a bit tired from work and standing on your feet for so long, but it's nice to have company on the walk back, especially someone like Yuri. You hum and comment every so often, honestly thinking that they did sound like the sort of books you would enjoy. Full of fantasy and mystery and thrills... and of course, romance.
"So, the main character ditches his friend, who's been with him the whole time, for the new girl? And she's from the enemy's group?" You surmise.
Yuri hesitates. "I don't want to spoil anything for you if you're wanting to read them for yourself..."
"Such a tease," you sigh, pretending to be betrayed. "Oh, we're here- this is my house."
The two of you stop at the gate leading to the front yard of your home, and you're positive you aren't imagining the plaintive expression on Yuri's face. You didn't really want your time together to end either, but alas, you both have classes tomorrow.
"If- If you really would like, you can borrow the first book from me," offers Yuri. "And then... you'll see for yourself how it all goes."
You nod enthusiastically. "Yes, please! Thank you, that's really sweet of you! We can discuss it too after I'm finished reading it. I think I already know who my favorite character is going to be, though."
Yuri tilts her head curiously. "Who would that be?"
"Nope! It's a secret, for now." You pause, glancing up at the darkening sky. "Will you be okay walking home by yourself?"
Her violet eyes soften at your concern. "Yes, I don't live very far from here."
You find yourself unsure of how to say goodbye to Yuri, an uncertain quiet settling over the two of you, but she doesn't seem to find it awkward. "Okay, if you're sure. Do you mind giving me your phone number, though?"
She starts in surprise, a dusting of pink covering her cheeks. "U-Uhm- I- you-?"
"So you can text me when you get home," you quickly defend your reasoning, feeling a bit shy yourself at Yuri's reaction. She really was unique- most people tried to play it cool when asking for or giving numbers.
"R-Right," she stammers, reciting it off for you, and her phone buzzes at the quick text message you sent her so she would have your number.
"I'll see you tomorrow then, at the Literature Club," you finally say, already looking forward to it. "And don't forget to bring the book, please!"
Yuri steps back, her gaze on the ground but you still see her smile to herself. "Yes, I will. Bye, Y/N." She seems like she has something else she wants to say, but then she gives herself a shake and quickly turns away, her long hair twirling to follow her.
You watch her go until you can't see her anymore, partly due to wanting to make sure she was safe.
You couldn't help but admire her for her intelligence and beauty, even if she seemed to admire your social skills in return. Hopefully this was the start of a very deep relationship with Yuri.

adding onto the show ideas--
There's definitely an introduction to Bob where he's just doing something completely normal for him (working with the plants in the Motherlobe, getting a nice meal with Compton at the Lumberstack, just sitting with Helmut and being the most lovestruck man you have ever seen) and as soon as he notices the ASC he just freaking runs/hides because he's not ready for a new person. it's the worst running/hiding job ever and yet everyone just goes "...ok social battery is dead let's leave him be"
Helmut's introduction is either completely normal or ASC getting SLAMMED into by a hamster ball
I also want to request just... every single little background job is played by Ford. No one ever reacts.
Aye, Bob would have a relatively normal introduction, doing his own thing. I haven’t written much about Bob but for my own characterization of him, I try to keep in mind the first interaction with Bob in the greenhouse before he gets pissed off, as well as the interactions in the island where he continues gardening and even has his comment about the campfire. And also remember his reaction on seeing Nick's Body (w/o knowing it was Helmut) and it was asking a familiar someone (who is Raz in that case) for information.
So my take on Bob is that he can handle his interactions his well enough. But would prefer plants and people he is friends with. His social battery on interactions with other people gets consumed faster. Perhaps when he was younger and less socially experienced after being alone for so long he would flee but being older, he can hold his ground especially with plants around. Part of the GnG character development with the gang stays and its being able to socialize nice yes.
But yeah if he does flee in the interaction, he’d say something about needing to work on his garden or talk to his husband, leaving, and if ASC tries to follow, they nearly trip on some plants and -- hey wait did those plants just move on their on? (aka me referencing plants removing themselves from the Astralathe on their own after Bob leaves to catch-up with Helmut scene).
ASC<-- clueless on other psychic powers other than the basics and is spooked out by sudden plant sentience.
As for Helmut intro well...
My mind instantly set the setting of the shot to be further into the future post the second game, where characters are able to do more of reconciliations and adjustments to the new normal daily life to be set post-game.
So that would mean that Helmut would be in back in his body and is at the last bits of the required recovery and adjustment back to his body.
Regardless, the idea of Helmut’s introduction being him pinballing around in the brain ball is very entertaining and certainly a good way to introduce those inventions are normal thing around this organization. Despite that regularity though, there is that line that something happened to his body that may or may not be elaborated on depending on if ASC knows about what happened to Helmut Fullbear at the Deluge of Grulovia (if they even know that). Then he continues on merrily zipping by to his husband.
Man I really am making it like ASC is an ignorant protagonist lad in need of exposition. We will think of what they know when we know why they are even in the Motherlobe in the first place, and if they are the protagonist or just a companion.
ASC would meet Compton at Lumberstack Diner, where he has cleaned it up and put it up to as a small business with Sam and Cassie. So that would be a nice and proper introduction experience. But then the food is served with animals balancing the dishes on their heads and someone can take the request customers have and successfully is understood by the employees. Again, surprising amount of higher intelligence from the animals and working like they are from Disney cooperating like they are doing a musical number.
Very tempted Cassie’s intro is her Green-Needle-Witch costume. Perhaps being sent out to the forest to find her and absolutely getting scared shitless instead.  Cassie has obtained better and actual bee-keeping clothes we see in the memory vault, but when she tends to the hive in Forgetful Forest, she dons on the costume for scaring and pranking opportunities on newcomers. It’s tradition now to send newbies into the forest just for this experience.
OH perhaps the order of meeting these two would be GNW, then Compton and Cassie at the diner where they Cassie whispers to Compton about ASC’s reaction in the forest as a joke between them. Compton is so amused but does give ASC a free comfort food, doesn’t explains and just says a line that vaguely  references that the experience in the Forgetful forest is quite normal, all while giving a knowing wink.
It is important to me that every psychic 7 member exude some form of cryptid energy.
Ford most of all.
That said, you would DEFINITELY see Ford just in the background doing various jobs. I am now considering that ASC actually met Ford before after bumping into him cleaning as a Janitor.
It could be right after ASC (& co. if that’s the protag thing) arrives in the setting, on their way to meet their guide or whomever they are suppose to meet. But in their rush they accidentally slip on a wet floor sign and bump into Ford. A quick shot of him being intimidating even as a janitor, but that quickly does away as he asks if they are alright and makes a sassy joke on them. Just a small quite interaction and a small apology before moving on to meet the guide just on the room around the corner. ASC explains and even mentions bumping into someone, attempting to point to where Ford was at, only to find it empty and clean. They are extremely confused. Guide continues the conversation to more important matters though and shows them around.
Following that would be small encounters with Ford doing many other jobs, and just like in psychonauts 1 before meeting Agent Cruller, they have no freaking idea what’s up with this guy and am I just imagining him everywhere? They never really had a chance to voice their question (nor get exposition about the psychic 7) before Ford’s proper(or more explained) introduction with the at the Diner. The audience then gets the idea that this guy is important and goes back to record all his previous background appearances like Blendin Blandin in Gravity Falls.
How he disappears so quickly is never explained for a long time. Audience and Characters don’t know about his teleportation yet. Only one question was remained and even more opens up. Cryptid Vibes remains.

Special-Tea
Summary: Yoongi’s always been a coffee man. When stuck at the studio in the early hours of the morning, he craves caffeine. The only problem with that is there’s no coffee shops open at three in the morning. So, he finds himself at the next best thing, a 24 hour tea shop where he finds you.
Warnings: cussing, smut, shower sex, unprotected sex (wrap it before you tap it), oral (f receiving)

It’s too early for this.
Or maybe it’s too late.
Yoongi isn’t sure. In fact, he’s pretty sure his clock stopped working three hours ago. Unless the last few minutes have felt like hours, then Yoongi was on the verge of tearing every piece of equipment from the wall and smashing it into a million pieces.
Yoongi’s been working on this album for far too long. His fingers are cramped from continuously playing the same three notes over and over just hoping and praying that something will come to him. He’s confused more than anything. Before he had no problem spitting out 2 or 3 songs in a day, recording demos and having the studio ready to record for the other members the following day.
Lately, however, he’s lucky if he can even get a concept for a song down. It’s like his mind has been clouded over with writers block and he’s not getting anywhere. Like someone sucked his ability to compose music right from his brain with a straw.
He tosses the pen he had been anxiously tapping on the desk into his bag, along with his notebook, and he stands abruptly.
Scoffing at his phone, he glares at the black 4:37 on the screen while the elevator in the BigHit offices slides downward. There’s no coffee shops open yet, there has to be something though. He just needs caffeine, though he could really go for an iced americano with-
“Special-tea...?” He raises an eyebrow at his phone, Google holding up options for the nearest place selling caffeinated beverages. Rolling his eyes, he begins the short journey to the one 24 hour shop within a five mile radius.
What kind of a name is ‘Special-tea’? Who sat in an office and thought, ‘ah you know what? Let’s name a tea shop but make it punny.’
“Stupid.” He grumbles to himself. He’s well aware that he’s far too tired to be having human interaction right now but he needs to get some progress done. At this point he’ll take a ghost of a song.
Stepping into the tea shop, he’s overwhelmed by the smell of flowers. Undeniably strong, he takes a moment to collect his thoughts before stepping all the way in. As the door chimes, he hears a gasp and a patter of foot steps.
“Welcome to Special-tea! How are you doing today?”
The voice is loud, echoing off of the various shelves scattered around the shop with loose tea for sale. He whips his head towards the register, spotting you.
“I’m fine, thank you.” He didn’t realize how sore his voice was from attempting to record backing vocals earlier in the day, but it came out gruff and quiet. A stark contrast to the bubbly barista in front of him, her nose dusted in flour and a messy apron protecting her clothes. Well, attempting at least, because Yoongi has to hold back a smile when he notices hand prints of flour on your backside.
“What can I get you this morning?” you question, leaning over the counter and causing Yoongi to blush when he notices the way you’re smiling. When you meet his eyes, Yoongi can tell you recognize him. For a moment he feels the need to brace himself, but soon realizes you’re calm.
Yoongi returns a smile, haphazardly running his fingers through his hair. “Dumb question, but do you guys sell coffee?”
“Coffee? No, but we do sell black earl grey. I’m told that’s a close comparison as far as bitterness goes,” You explain, turning to the shelf behind you and pulling out a bag of tea, “you’re welcome to smell it if you like.”
He raises an eyebrow, leaning forward and sniffing the bag. He backs away quickly and watches you bite your lip to stifle a laugh, “It’s not exactly a new tea drinker’s type of tea.”
“I’m not really a new tea drinker,” he grumbles, wiping his nose, “I’m a tea drinker only in times of desperation.”
She smiles again, “What causes said desperation?”
Yoongi rolls his neck, “I’m trying to write another song. Get the ball rolling to finishing up an album.”
“BE, right? I’ve heard good things about the process,” you say softly, surprising Yoongi by your admission to being a fan, “I figured it would be finished already?”
His eyes stay trained on you as you turn back to the shelves, rummaging through various boxes of tea. It takes him a moment to realize what your question was, so he sucks in a breath, “Ah, yeah. It’s nearly there, we just need one more track because one of them got trashed.”
Why is he revealing so much to a stranger? Namjoon is going to kill him.
“Trashed? Why’s that?”
“We realized the song itself didn’t follow any of the messages we wanted to put out there.”
Damn it, Yoongi. Stop talking.
You finally stop rummaging and pull out a bag of tea without showing Yoongi. He tries to catch a glimpse but instead watches as you boil more water and begin steeping the tea.
“What kind of message did it have?” You ask, leaning backward against the counter and crossing your arms. Having expected a follow up question, Yoongi swiftly dismisses it, “What kind of tea are you making?”
“The kind you drink.” You smirk.
He lowers his gaze at you, “It’s kind of your job to tell the customer what they’re getting.”
You laugh, “Alright. Jasmine green tea. It’s subtle enough that it won’t get your coffee loving tongue in a twist, and has enough caffeine to keep you up to finish whatever you’re working on.”
Yoongi is happy with this response, taking the time to lean away from the counter and gaze around the shop. It’s small, something he’s definitely not used to from coffee shops. The earthy smells from earlier have dwindled down to a nice summery scent, lavender filling his nose the closer he got to the register.
As much as he tried to keep his eyes away from the cute girl behind the counter, he couldn’t help but turn back and watch you as you organize various things. Something about the way your hair slips from the messy bun it’s in and your charismatic way of helping him while also providing a sense of normalcy drew him in in a way he has never experienced before.
“Order up, Suga.”
He shakes his head from his gaze, walking back up to the counter and pulling out his wallet.
“On me,” you say, “besides... don’t want to make you pay for something you may not like.”
Yoongi nods, murmuring a small ‘thank you’ and bringing the cup up to his mouth.
Without missing a beat, he reaches for his wallet and pulls out a 10000 won bill, stuffing it in the tip jar. He gives you a small smile, thanking you again as he turns towards the door.
“Wait!” you call, “What do you think?”
Yoongi raises his hand up just before he walks out of the door, “It’s delicious!”
The smile on your face was worth Yoongi’s little white lie.
~*~*~
“Alright, this is great! We’ll record tomorrow, yeah?” Seokjin speaks for the entire group as Yoongi plays them the demo of the song he was finally able to right. There were a few jabs here and there about the auto tune Yoongi likes to utilize, but other than that it was well received.
The only person he could think was you, though, because if he hadn’t have tasted that tea he would have never thought of writing what he did.
“How did you manage to spit out something like this in a night?” Jungkook teases, patting Yoongi’s shoulder softly.
“What do you mean?” Yoongi chuckles, clicking sound files around and creating a copy of his demo.
Jungkook grins, “Who’s the girl that made you think of that?”
“No girl,” he defends, “a good writer doesn’t need actual experiences. All from the imagination, young Jungkookie.”
Namjoon raises an eyebrow, “I’m pretty sure that’s not the case at all.”
Yoongi shushes him, saving his project one more time before deciding to kick everyone out and lock the studio.
Of course they’re going to find out eventually what happened. Especially since Park Jimin follows Yoongi to the elevator. Once they’re the only ones inside, Jimin turns to his Hyung, “Tell me about the girl.”
Yoongi, knowing that no one else could read him better than Jimin, sighs in defeat. “She’s gorgeous. Her nose had flour on it, her hair was messy, and she was everything that I’m not used to. She has a smirk- god the way she smiles- it just makes me melt for her.”
Jimin seems pleased with this answer, “and you’re going to see her now?”
“Yep.”
The bell above his head is a welcoming sound. This time you’re not waiting in the back. Instead, you’re counting money at the register as he enters. This time you wore a purple apron, and it’s clean compared to a couple of days ago. You still haven’t looked up, so Yoongi walks slowly up to the counter and taps his fingers twice.
“Ah- Yoongi! Good evening, what can I get you started today?”
“The same as last time, please.” Yoongi grins, watching you carefully as you nod at him and turn on your heel and kick on the kettle. The way the straps of the apron tie right above the curve of your back has Yoongi’s mind beginning to wander. It’s been years since he even thought of looking at a woman like this in person, but for some reason when it comes to you he just can’t stop.
“So,” you break the silence, “how did that song writing go?”
“Oh,” his cheeks are a rosy pink, “it went well. I showed the other members the demo and we’re recording it tomorrow.”
“I can’t wait to hear it.” You grin, pouring the water over the tea bags. Yoongi thanks you quietly and pulls out his wallet once more. You shake your head, “Nope. Your last tip was enough to cover your next 3 drinks.”
Yoongi nods, “Oh okay.” but then ignores you, slipping another 10000 won bill into the tip jar. Just as you’re about to open your mouth in protest, Yoongi sends you a wink and salutes on his way out before he closes the door behind him.
~*~*~
Your alarm is too loud.
It’s like a banshee screeching in your ear, like a baby crying, like a rooster crowing. You groaned loudly at the sound and threw your hand on top of it, rolling out of bed to drag yourself to the shower.
It’s been a few weeks since Yoongi became a regular to your work. The initial star struck feeling you got when you were around him had dwindled away, and now you feel you can call him a friend.
Your routine was as follows: Yoongi enters the shop, you make him his drink, and he stays and distracts you for a while. Much against everything you stand for, you drop everything to talk to him. It causes you to have to move much faster than usual on your prep work but you didn’t mind, because you loved seeing the way Yoongi would laugh at your jokes.
You feel like you know the man beyond the idol. The person who hides under the shadow of a stoic demeanor is bright. The way you perceived him prior to actually knowing him was wrong. He is, without a single doubt in your mind, the most interesting man on the planet.
When you arrived at work, your evening worker is already willing to go.
“I counted the safe and there’s some money missing. If Summer asks, it wasn’t me.” Flora says, shrugging her shoulders.
“Okay,” you raise an eyebrow, walking towards the back, “any orders?”
“Uh, yeah!” you hear her call, “chocolate covered strawberries for 6!”
“Awesome-- thank you!” You call back just as the door dings and Flora exits the store. You take a moment to walk through the kitchen to make sure everything is set up and then you pull your apron over your head.
The doorbell dings and you can’t help the smile that stretches across your face.
“What’ll it be today, Mr. Min?” You still stand in the back, glancing in the mirror to make sure you look your best.
“Honey butter croissant,” he yells back, “how did you know it was me?”
When you’re happy with your look, you finally walk to the front and smile, “So we’re changing it up today, are you okay? You sick or something?”
“I just wanted something new,” Yoongi looks different today. He’s dressed in a cream cardigan and black jeans, the usual rose tint to his cheeks is a bit stronger today.
“Okay, I’ll have to bake some new ones. It’ll take about 20 minutes if you’re willing to wait.” You explain, with an unsure smile.
Yoongi looks around for a moment, “Ugh, I guess I can wait.”
“Awesome,” you speak, “I’ll be back in a moment.”
As you walk towards the back, Yoongi listens carefully to you humming along to a song that’s been stuck in your head for days. You pull out a couple of fresh croissants and prep a baking sheet. Sticking it into the oven, you brush the flour from your hands onto your apron and walk back to the front.
Yoongi jumps up from his phone when he notices you standing in front of him. This is the closest you’ve ever been to him, the freckles across your nose easing him into a sense of comfort. “Do you plan on telling me why you kept ordering a drink you hate?”
Yoongi’s eyes widen, “Now why on Earth would you think that I hate it?”
“Welp,” you laugh, “you’re usually my only customer at night, and every morning I would check the outside garbage to see if it needed to be changed, yet the only thing I would find is a full cup of tea, with your name on it.”
For a moment, Yoongi was silent. He stumbles over his thoughts in an attempt to come up with some type of excuse. Something to hide why he had been coming here all this time. Yet, he couldn’t. So instead he looks up from his chair and smirks, “How else was I supposed to talk to the pretty girl at the tea shop?”
You swallow, your mind racing a million miles a second. Before you have the chance to respond, he stands. His body is close, and he smells so good. His cologne is expensive, herbal and earthy, and it makes you want to bury your nose into his neck and inhale. His eyes, the usual dark brown has turned into honey, drawing you in and keeping you there.
“You could have asked me on a date, we could have gone from there.” You shrug, feeling Yoongi’s calloused hand gently push away a stray hair behind your ear. He doesn’t move it afterwards, though, instead his thumb finds home on your cheekbone, stroking gently. His face has shifted, and he laughs. Almost bitterly, causing your heart to sink.
“I wasn’t sure if you’d be interested in the types of dates I get. You see,” his other hand slithers around your waist, “we get long walks in the park but we have to wear a mask and a hat. We get picnics by streams late enough at night that we know no one will be around. Sometimes we can slip away to another country where we pray that no one recognizes us, but with my schedule that thought is laughable at best.”
“What if I like long walks in the park with masks and late night picnics?” You breath, the look in your eyes stirring Yoongi’s heart.
“Then I guess we’d have to give it a shot, wouldn’t we?” He whispers. Your eyes flutter from his eyes to his lips, silently begging him to close the gap. You could sense his hesitancy, though. It blossoms from his chest and heats up his entire body but for some reason he’s frozen, completely still. He’s fighting, urging himself to lean forward and kiss you but he can’t move.
Good news for him, though, because you take a moment to lean up and press your lips against his softly. It’s gentle, easing him into the feeling of you so close to him. His lips taste of mint chocolate, causing you to smile into the kiss. It takes a moment, and for a second you’re hoping that you didn’t read the situation wrong until finally, he kisses back. It’s eager, introducing his tongue to yours and grinning idly into the kiss.
You allow him to back you up against the counter, boxing you in and surrounding you completely. His hands move down and pull your hips close to his, feeling the strain of his cock against his jeans.
“We’re entering dangerous territory here, baby.” Yoongi speaks, pulling away just a little bit. His eyes stay closed and his breath is hot on your face.
“How so?” You whisper, afraid of the answer but also intrigued. He doesn’t respond, instead capturing your lips and breaking the kiss repeatedly. Your fingertips dig into his shoulders and he smiles at the knowledge that you’re enjoying this just as much as he is.
A groan fills the air when you finally buck your hips towards him. In a feverish attempt to feel more, you wrap your legs around his waist and hang from his shoulders. Just as you’re about to slip your hand between your bodies, the timer on the oven blares through the building, shattering the small walls you built around the two of you.
“Fuck--” you gently pull away, “I’m sorry. I’ll be back in a moment.”
Quickly, you slip off the counter and rush to the oven. You pull out the croissants and douse them in honey butter from the fridge. You watch the butter melt for a moment, collecting your thoughts.
Did that just happen? Did that actually hap-
When you walk back out, Yoongi’s hands are clasped behind his back. He mutters a small thank you as you hand him the plate. He rips off a corner of the pastry, and pops it into his mouth.
There’s a beat of silence. One-- two-- then he speaks.
“It’s delicious.”
“Thank you, I work hard on them.”
~*~*~
“And you just left her?!”
Oh god. Yoongi has never seen Jimin so angry before. The small man can yell louder than ever imagined, and Yoongi would be lying if he said that he wasn’t scared.
A mere 30 hours ago, Yoongi had his tongue buried in your mouth and he was the happiest man on the planet. Then it changed quickly once he realized what exactly this could entail. Even though he wanted nothing more than to bend you over the dough table and take you roughly while you scream his name, he couldn’t help but over think.
Standing in Jimin’s living room, he expected to be comforted and given some nice advice from his friend. Instead he’s learning that he pulled a bad move.
“You’re supposed to be giving me advice, not yelling at me!” Yoongi yells back, gesturing his hands wildly. Even though he’s scared, he can’t help but defend himself to a certain extent.
“Hyung, I thought you’d have enough intelligence not to kiss her and run!”
Yoongi groans and drops onto the couch, his face falling into his hands, “The things I was feeling scared me.”
“Oh my god, go to the tea shop!”
~*~*~
Yoongi spots a customer at the register. He opens the door quietly, the break of dawn just behind the mountains. This was different to Yoongi’s usual time and you know that, your eyes going wide in surprise while you finish ringing up the last customer.
Once Yoongi hears the heels clack against the tile and the door open, he rounds the shelf and walks up to you.
“I’m sorry I left so quickly yesterday. I just- I got scared. I wasn’t sure how to approach the situation but after thinking over it I realized that I really need you to kiss me again,” Yoongi speaks fast, quicker than you’ve heard him before and it takes a moment for the words to settle in your mind, “I can’t stop thinking about you.”
You breathe out a laugh, leaning forward and pressing your lips to his again. This time it’s slow and soft, different but Yoongi loves every second of it. The minute you kiss him, you taste coffee. You hold back another laugh, pulling away with mock hurt, “You cheated.”
Yoongi brows furrow, “I don’t follow.”
“You drink coffee and then come try to sweep tea shop girl off her feet? Cheater!” You tease, putting your hand on your chest as though you’re in pain.
Yoongi grins, “You’re crazy. I would never drink coffee, not when I can taste you. You’re probably going to have to kiss me to make sure.”
You gnaw your lip, leaning upward and pressing a kiss to him again. He giggles against your lips, a sound that you will never get sick of. You pull away much to both of your dismay, “Let me take you back to my apartment. It’s small but it’s big enough for the two of us.”
He agrees instantly.
Yoongi waits in the car while your relief shows up and you clean up. He taps his feet against the pedals anxiously, the thought of what could happen exciting him. You have clouded his mind for a weeks now and as you skip out of the building and hop into Yoongi’s passenger seat, he can’t wait to get his hands on you.
He follows your directions, his hand resting on your thigh as he tries not to speed. When he pulls into the parking lot, you lead him up the stairs to your apartment.
Nervously, you toss your bag onto the couch, “It’s not much. . . but it works for me.”
Yoongi grins, “It’s quaint. Cute.” He reaches forward and wraps his arms around you in a back hug. You welcome it, craning your neck to kiss him.
“I need a shower. Join me?”
Yoongi nods, “Yes please.”
There’s a thumb in your chest louder than you’ve ever felt before. This is actually happening. Min Yoongi, is being lead to your bathroom and you’re about to shower with him.
Yoongi doesn’t waste much time once the door is shut behind you. He latches his lips onto your neck, tugging at the hem of your shirt and easing it over your head.
“I want to make sure you want this as much as I do.” Yoongi says breathlessly as he catches a glimpse of your bare chest. You don’t respond verbally, but you look him directly in the eye as you slip your pants and panties off in one swoop.
You stand in the shower, turning on the water and peaking your head behind the curtain, “What’s taking you so long?”
Yoongi moves fast as he tears off his own clothing, and you close the curtain so you don’t spot his body too quickly. Building suspense for yourself, you wet your hair under the warm water and feel your muscles relax after your long day of work. Although your eyes are closed, your ears are trained on Yoongi. He steps behind you, continuing his assault on your neck.
You sigh happily, but everything changes the minute Yoongi opens his mouth.
“Spread your legs, baby. I’ll hold you up.”
Instantly you feel your cunt clenching around nothing (unfortunately). You immediately allow Yoongi to guide your leg to the edge of the tub. He slides a finger in between your folds, collecting your wetness all while his lips trail kisses across your chest.
Finally you allow yourself to open your eyes, gasping at the image in front of you. Yoongi’s body is as rosy as his cheeks, his knees on the bottom of the floor and his face level with your heat.
“Ah, now you open your eyes.” He smirks, and doesn’t give you much warning as he licks a long stripe from your heat to your clit. You instantly moan, tossing your head back and bracing yourself against the wall of the shower.
He moves ruthlessly, consuming you like a starved man. The feeling of him against you doesn’t compare to the imagine in front of you. His fingers reach between your folds and pump in and out of you while he continues to nip and suck mercilessly at your clit. He looks up at you through his lashes, and you swear you feel him smirk against you as he speeds up his thrusts and sucks as hard as he can.
“You look so good like this,” you moan, “your tongue feels so good.”
Yoongi pulls away to let out a groan, “Fuck.” His chest is heaving and he reaches a hand down to squeeze his shaft for a moment of relief, then he stands.
“Think you can hold your leg up for a moment, baby?” Yoongi instructs, laying a kiss on your forehead as you spot his hand pumping himself a few more times. You nod silently, allowing yourself to relish in his glistening skin as he runs the head of his cock over your slit. You appreciate his concern, and you know he’s going to take care of you after he’s finished ruining you. You couldn’t be more excited as Yoongi’s cock continues to slip over you.
For a moment you feel him enter, both of you gasping at the contact but just as quickly as he enters, he slips out.
“No,” you shake your head, “please no teasing. Fuck me.”
Yoongi gives you a devilish grin, his hand holding up your thigh once again as he finally begins to push into you. He takes pleasure in the way that your lips part with every inch that he pushes in. Yoongi was proud of his size, and your reaction further fuels his ego. Finally, he bottoms out and you’re rewarded with being filled to the hilt with nothing but Yoongi.
He moans your name in your air after you adjust to his size, beginning to thrust faster. “So... tight. Fuck.” He sinks his teeth into your collarbone, relishing in the feeling of your nails scratching into his back. He can’t bare to leave your cunt for more than a few seconds, because the way you clench tightly around him was the closest thing to Heaven on Earth that he’s ever experienced. Every one of his thrusts is meant with a rewarding moan from you, your juices coating his cock more and more and fueling his pleasure.
“Ah,” you moan, “Yoongi. So good.” Your brain was absolute mush. You couldn’t think of anything else but him.
“So good at taking my cock,” he laughs breathlessly, “I can’t believe how well you’re doing.”
You surrender yourself completely to Yoongi at his words, his encouragement pushing you closer to the edge. “I’m close.”
“Good girl, cum for me. Cream on my cock.” Yoongi praises, kissing your lips tenderly as you feel yourself clench tightly around him. White hot electric shocks rush through your body, your eyes rolling to the back of your head.
He breaks the kiss with a bite to your bottom lip, “Take my cum. Take it- fuck fuck-” Yoongi’s cut off by his orgasm taking over, and you open just in time to see his jaw drop as he rides out both of your orgasms with increasingly slow thrusts until finally, he slips out, the feeling of his release dripping down your thighs.
He rests his forehead against yours, suddenly hyper aware of the water dripping down your bodies.
You lower your legs onto the floor, Yoongi holding you up while you struggle to regain your balance. The two of you giggle, sharing kisses for a moment as you both work off the pleasure.
You reach behind Yoongi, squeezing shampoo into your hands and massaging it through your scalp as Yoongi takes your soap across your body. It’s such a simple move, but even though you’ve already had sex he still is taking the time to take care of you. It’s endearing, and it fills you with hope for something more with Yoongi.
As you both finish the shower, you step out of the bath tub and reach for a towel.
“Oh, by the way, Yoongi?” You say as he runs a brush through your hair. You bite your lip to hold back a giggle as he stops, “Yes baby?”
“I still tasted coffee.”
Yoongi laughs, “God damn it.”

Roswell, New Mexico custom Magic: The Gathering cards
For RNM D&D Weekend Warriors, I branched out to another tabletop format and made a handful of custom Magic: The Gathering cards based on the core cast of Roswell, NM. Here’s the break-down of how I chose each character’s color(s) and abilities as well as highlight some of the neat ways they interact. None of the cards have been playtested so there is still room for them to be further developed and balanced. For anyone who isn’t very familiar with Magic: The Gathering, every card fits into various types that can be played for the cost printed in the top right-hand corner. There are 5 colors of Mana- White, Blue, Black, Red, Green- I’ll be using the letters W, U (blue), B (black), R, and G to represent the mana colors in my discussion. Each card can also have different traits and abilities, and a set of numbers that represents how strong its attack and defense are (represented as attack/defense). There’s a lot of amazingly nerdy discussion of Magic Lore that delves into how the Mana colors relate to personality traits and behaviors of the characters on the cards-- more on that here- but just know that I’ll be discussing some of those qualities as I go into why I chose the attributes for each card/character.So here we go!
Tumblr media
Max Evans, Smalltown Hero        2WR Legendary Creature – Human Alien Vigilance, Haste (This creature doesn’t tap to attack and may attack or use tap abilities the turn it enters the battlefield.) T, Sacrifice a nonland permanent: Another target creature gains indestructible until end of turn. Max is a deputy with the sheriff’s department and a natural leader who has kept his powers and identity a secret for years. 3/1
Max is kind hearted and wants to protect his community and friends. On the other hand, he’s impulsive and will make rash decisions without thinking about the consequences of his actions. These two beliefs place him firmly in red/white for Magic colors; a combination that often plays small aggressive creatures and engages in frequent combat. I gave Max vigilance to represent him being a defender as well as an aggressor in a lot of circumstances. His ability to sacrifice something to protect someone else exemplifies his ability to both heal and destroy. Lastly he has haste and a fragile body (1 toughness) making a game with Max play out with an early attack followed by him protecting someone else and only getting in when the coast is clear.
Michael Guerin, Tech Genius      1WU Legendary Creature – Human Alien Artificer When Michael Guerin, Tech Genius enters the battlefield, search your library and/or graveyard for a noncreature artifact or enchantment card and exile it with a research counter on it. If you searched your library this way, shuffle. X, T: Create a token that’s a copy of a card exiled with a research counter. X is that card’s mana value. 2/3
Michael cares about the team differently than Max does. He is often tinkering with things in order to heal or protect others if possible and is a genius when it comes to inventions involving alien technology. His intelligence and need for knowing more fits in blue (alongside a few other science oriented characters). Whereas Max is a straightforward attacker, I chose an ability that is much more complex to understand for Michael. He makes copies of trinkets after taking the time to examine them which lends itself to more combo and control oriented play patterns instead of just blindly turning stuff sideways. I didn’t capture Michael’s temper, but I didn’t want all aliens to be red. Maybe I’ll make another version some time that incorporates different facets of their personalities.
Tumblr media
Isobel Evans, Influencer                UBR Legendary Creature – Human Alien Your opponents play with the top card of their library revealed. 3R, T: Gain control of target creature an opponent controls until end of turn. Untap that creature. It gains haste until end of turn. 6BB, T: You control target player’s next turn. Activate only once. 1/4
Isobel has fewer words than Michael, but oh my is she complex as well. If Max leans toward aggro and Michael is combo, Isobel is the control card of the siblings. Isobel is often guided by her emotions, but channels that into careful thought in how to execute a plan and always looks out for herself and her people. Her abilities represent her powers spread across the three colors: Blue – Reading your opponent’s mind, Red – Controlling someone’s impulses for a short period, Black – Forcing your opponent’s actions, once.
Liz Ortecho, Savvy Scientist          1UB Legendary Creature – Human Rebel Liz Ortecho, Savvy Scientist can’t be blocked as long as defending player controls an artifact. Whenever Liz Ortecho deals combat damage to a player, gain control of target artifact that player controls with mana value less than or equal to the damage dealt. 2/1
Liz is smart, cunning, and will protect her own. Her science background lends itself to Blue, but this card plays up some of her devious nature of stealing hospital equipment, doing illegal research, and general sneaking around, so there’s Black in her mana cost as well. She often draws on the abilities of those around her, which means that her connections make her stronger. Amusingly, she’s unblockable against some of our other characters including her own dad!
Tumblr media
Alex Manes, Tech Specialist            1WUB Whenever you draw a card, target creature you control gains deathtouch (Any amount of damage it deals to a creature is enough to destroy it.), lifelink (Damage dealt by that creature also causes you to gain that much life.), or vigilance (Attacking doesn’t cause it to tap.) until end of turn. Whenever Alex Manes, Tech Specialist deals combat damage to a player, create a clue token. (It’s an artifact with “2, Sacrifice this artifact: Draw a card.”) Kyle: “What’s the worst thing we could find?“ Alex: “Literal skeletons.” 2/3
Alex also sneaks around, but I wanted to play up his investigation skills a little more. Instead of just drawing a card when he does damage, he makes a clue “token”. That clue token represents information (drawing a card) that can be held onto or acted on later. He’s a character who’s able to do plenty of damage in his own right, but his big advantage is being able to help other characters do their jobs and get combat abilities they wouldn’t otherwise have. He protects his friends.
Tumblr media
Maria DeLuca, Entrepreneur       2RG Legendary Creature – Human Alien Haste (This creature may attack and use tap abilities the turn it enters the battlefield.) Each other creature you control enters the battlefield with an additional +1/+1 counter on it. “Maria DeLuca is her own savior.” 3/2
Maria cares about her friends and her business. Her ability helps everyone and represents your other creatures being able to stop in for a drink at the bar. She gets haste to show how hard she works and has aggressive stats so she can get her hands dirty in a fight. Like Michael, I could see another version playing into her psychic powers.
Tumblr media
Dr. Kyle Valenti                 1WW Legendary Creature – Human Lifelink (Damage dealt by that creature also causes you to gain that much life.) When Dr. Kyle Valenti enters the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on each other creature you control. "In a hospital it doesn't matter what someone did before they came through the doors." 2/2
Kyle is a healer and instead of showing that with damage prevention, I chose a simpler buff to the whole team. Now you’re less worried about losing fights!
Rosa Ortecho, Troubled Artist                     1BR Legendary Creature – Human Alien At the beginning of your upkeep, choose one — • Draw a card and lose 2 life. • Exile the top card of your library. Until end of turn, you may play that card. Red is armor. 3/2
Rosa was a fun one to design. She is black red which is a color combo notoriously bad at impulse control. She has aggressive stats and an ability that makes the controller make a hard choice every turn. Do I take the guaranteed draw at the cost of a couple life or do I risk not being able to cast whatever I exile? Among other things, this represents her struggle with addiction-- taking the most directly expedient option comes with some harm to her life totals- but it’s the damage you know. The second option requires you to risk the unknown, but be able to participate in the fight without automatically being harmed-- it requires you to trust your deck and your support network...but be prepared for potential setbacks.
Tumblr media
Arturo Ortecho                 GG Legendary Creature – Human Defender (This creature can’t attack.) Whenever a nontoken creature enters the battlefield under your control, create a Food token. (It’s an artifact with “{2}, {T}, Sacrifice this artifact: You gain 3 life.”) G, T, Sacrifice a Food: Target creature gets +2/+2 until end of turn. “I already have my miracle.” 2/4
Arturo cares about his community as do many of our characters, but if there’s any color that cares about bringing everyone in for dinner, it’s green. He delivers food whenever a new creature enters and can use them as buffs instead of just life gain! His kindness and compassion sustain everyone.
Tumblr media
Deputy Jenna Cameron                 1RR Legendary Creature – Human First Strike (This creature deals combat damage before creatures without first strike.) Whenever Jenna blocks or becomes blocked by a creature, she deals 1 damage to that creature. “Who you callin’ a girl?” 2/3
In case you can’t tell, a lot of our characters act on impulse and emotion, which is a Red trait. Cam is tough (A 3/4 is needed to best her in combat!) and efficiently deals with enemies. The faster-than-first strike damage represents her sharp shooting skill. And because of her skills, anyone going up against her is going to feel it right away.
Sergeant Jesse Manes                   2BB Legendary Creature – Human Soldier Menace (This creature must be blocked by two or more creatures.) When Sergeant Jesse Manes enters the battlefield or attacks, exile the top card of each opponent’s library face down. You may cast noncreature cards exiled this way and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any type to cast that spell. Jesse's inhumane methods leave only pain in his wake. 3/2
Jesse is a character who has his own twisted view of how his actions will better society. His card here plays up how he tends to believe the ends justify any means-- for him, at least. He steals information and uses it against those he took it from, to represent his involvement in Project Shepherd and the threat he represents not just to the safety and security of the aliens, but to anyone helping them. I chose to exclude creatures in order to make the ability a little more efficient and make it feel more like controlling the chess board and less like mind control (Which a Noah card would someday probably do).
Whew! I hope you enjoyed reading these as much as I enjoyed making them!

Pairing: Soobin x Reader.
Tag: Café!au.
W/C: 1810.
Chapter summary: Soobin starts working at Screaming Colors.
Chapter 1.
♡♡♡♡♡
1
Sage green were the tiles on the wall. you faced as you arranged the many things placed on the counter. Packets of sugar you placed in a cup. The cup was to be placed on the collection counter. There were a series of tasks you'd have to do every morning to prepare for the day ahead of you. You enjoyed doing them. At least, now you did. For life seemed to be more monotonous, you found tiny packets of joy in tasks as simple as arranging packets of sugars.
The sound of the door swinging open made you look up. Finally, your co-workers Huening Kai and Beomgyu had arrived. It was something you'd anticipate. Working in a busy café all by yourself would be difficult. The place was understaffed because it had opened recently. You even brought the issue up to the owner once. The old lady told you, with the sweetest smile, that she would hire another person soon. All you could do was try to not get distracted by her colorful, fancy earrings as she spoke. Seeing her smile, you smiled, hoping she'd stick to her word. Well, she didn't hire anyone very soon.
She stuck to her words, though. Today was the day the new guy was going to start working. "Good morning," said the two boys in unison as they walked toward you. "Morning," you greeted them. Your eyes then landed on the boy who had walked in behind them. The tall boy gave you a small, polite smile. "Good morning," he said awkwardly, making Huening Kai laugh. Laughing when nothing funny had happened was a very common thing for Huening Kai to do. You were used to it. "He's Soobin, the new guy," informed Beomgyu. "Oh. Nice to meet you." "You too."
On your first day of work, you were unsure of if you would be decent at the job even. Well, you were pretty good. The best thing about being a barista was the power you held. You had the power to set the tone of someone's day. People walking in, yet to consume their daily dose of caffeine, interacted with you every morning. You tried to make the interactions as positive as possible, even though some of them seemed rather cranky with clouded minds.
Your interactions with the customers were amazing. At least, that's what Soobin thought. Taking orders was your job. Preparing the drinks and meals, were the jobs assigned to Beomgyu and Huening Kai. Though Beomgyu had taken over the duty to explain to him how the café would be run, you had managed to gain his interest. You truly enjoyed the job, he could conclude. The morning he had spent placing muffins and pastries on the plates, when they were demanded and then washing the rather colorful plates and cups.
"I hope you had a good first day," you said to Soobin. There was a smile on your face as you adjusted the bag over your shoulder. The shift did come to an end after all. It was evening when the four of you found yourselves walking down the same lane as you always did. "Yes. Thank you," he said to you, making you chuckle. You found the formality cute. His nervousness showed through his awkward mannerism.  "Don't thank her. I taught you everything," said Beomgyu, confident as ever. He really did take pride in his mentoring. Soobin shyly turned to him. "Thank you," he said to Beomgyu. It was a rather funny sight to watch someone actually take Beomgyu seriously. Huening Kai and you shared a look before laughing. "Wow. He's so nice," you praised. "You were like this when you joined too. Look at you now," said Huening Kai, earning a light slap on his arm. "I am nice."
The not so meaningful conversation came to an end when the lane did. Waving at the other three guys, you turned to the left. Everytime you'd part ways with them here. This was when you felt more lonely because someone once waited for you, right at the turn, on weekends. The boy named Yeonjun, was your lover. Outside the café, you were lonely because most of your time you would spend with him. Living in apartments just a series of steps away, made it easy for you to do so. When you two were kids, you would build sand castles with him. That was your earliest memory of being his friend. The latest memory was the one of him ending the relationship for he had to move to the states. You two were distant, soon the memories would be. He hadn't even cared to call you once or twice. Not even his new number you knew. The birthday wish you had sent to them on instagram, was never read. As if, he had realized that he was happier without the relationship.
Still you tried to convince yourself otherwise. You held onto meaningless hope, you wished you could let go of. You couldn't. Such things weren't as easy to you as you wished they were.
On Sunday, Soobin was the second one to arrive. He had walked in to see you lost in your thoughts as you stared at the green tiles. The golden sunlight highlighted the tip of your nose. Your lips were curved into a frown. It was a sight beautiful but sad. You were more cheerful the day before. He cleared his throat to earn a cheerful greeting. You smiled when you saw him standing there. "Good morning," you said to him. "Good morning," he said shyly before heading to the back room.
Few minutes later, you watched Beomgyu and Huening Kai running into the store. Startled, you could only question the reason. "Why are you guys running?," you asked. The two boys were panting. Beomgyu even sat down on the floor. This only made you wonder if you should lock the door or something. "Will you guys answer?" Huening Kai decided to destroy your curiosity. "We saw Miss Park's car on our way here. Didn't want her to know that we were late," he let you know. The two of them then rushed into the back room. Soobin who walked out as they went in, gave them a look of curiosity. "The owner is on her way," you let him know. "The two of them don't want her to know that they're late again so the rush," you explained. The tall boy came and stood beside you. "They're late often?," he asked casually.
"Yeah. The two of them plan on coming here together. Beomgyu oversleeps. Huening Kai is an angel who waits for him without complaining. That's how they get late," you went on. Soobin's lips formed  a small 'oh.' His face to you seemed rather beautiful. The comforting kind of beautiful. It was his nose that caught your attention. It was so cute. You wished you could tell it out loud or maybe poke his cheeks. You couldn't. That wouldn't be a normal thing to do. So, you didn't do it. You looked outside, through the glass door to see the owner of the café named Screaming Colors, getting out from the red SUV.
Bright colors really were her thing. At least it suited her bright personality. Even this early in the morning she could get herself to walk into the café with a smile on her face.
"Good morning, Miss Park," you greeted the lady.
"Good morning, Y/N," she said to you with a warm smile. Miss Park was a stylish woman. Anyone you knew her, knew that. On this day she wore an orange coat over black trousers. To compliment the coat, she wore huge, sunflower earrings. The yellow color was indeed eye catching. "How are you?," she asked. Dragging your attention away from the yellow earrings you looked at her. "I am fine. How have you been, ma'am?," you asked her. "I've been good. I thought of coming in and checking if everything is going well," she said as looked around the café.
"So, this is the new guy?," she asked. "Yes." "Nice to meet you. I am Choi Soobin." The tall boy bowed slightly while introducing himself. "Nice to meet you, Soobin. I hope you work diligently," she said. She always smiled as she spoke. Some giggles too were heard as she spoke. This woman always sounded so happy, you felt rather dull compared to her. "Where are the other two guys?"
"We were cleaning the staff room," lied Beomgyu as he walked outside the room. The taller boy, who definitely didn't seem like a good liar, followed the older. "Ah. Good. Good." Them being praised by the older woman for work that you did wasn't the best thing in the world. It just made you stare at Beomgyu with a blank expression. He just gave you a small, mischievous smile. These were the things you had to deal with quite often now.
"I know we don't have a lot of staff. It's a new café. There are no dorms around. It's difficult," she said to the four of you. Her apologetic tone made you  feel the need to tell her to not worry. But then again, the manager wouldn't even arrive before noon. Also, Beomgyu really couldn't even get up on time. On a few days, he had definitely arrived much later than he had today. You noticed that his apron wasn't even tied properly. He wanted to make you facepalm so hard. You could not do that. So all you did was give him a small glare.
Soobin looked over at you, secretly wishing for this boring conversation to end soon. It was rather awkward to him. Especially since it was just his second day of work. But then again, he didn't have a lot of plans for the day. His best friend who seemed to have been making their friendship complicated had moved to the states. No explanations for the impulsive kisses were left behind for him. He was left to remain curious. Wondering if he was just one of the many people Yeonjun had made such impulsive decisions with. He wished he would have been more than that. Somehow, no one in college felt like they were more than that. They were all left to wonder if there was a reason he didn't date anyone. He was a player they assumed. To Soobin, he didn't seem like one. He was so caring and genuine. Someone Soobin could connect with. He had to be more than just a player.
He would forget about him sooner or later, he assured himself. His classmates had stopped talking about him. His name was not mentioned as much in conversations anymore.
"Well, what about your friend who was interested?," the old woman asked you.
"Yeonjun? He moved to the states."

ALLOW ME TO PLACE THESE Q'S HERE FOR OUR FAVE GOBLIN: Besides meat, what other foods does he find delight in? What's something that gives him utter peace as soon as it's there? How was his life during the Joseon era? Are there certain things in the past that he wishes could be available in the modern world, or is he fully comfortable with what's at hand? How would he feel if a particular gumiho suddenly hugged him from behind? 👀 LOVE YOU
-. @jeoseungsaja | Alex I would literally kill for you, if anybody ever comes at you, let them know I’ll be the last thing they see, BECAUSE I LOVE Y O U
---
This got so loNG I’MS O sorr y- Also look at this gif taken from the pack you sent me the link of <W<
Tumblr media
-. Besides meat, what other foods does he find delight in? Would saying ‘fish’ be a bit too close to meat? Okay, that aside I do think Shin has a rather varied palate, mostly because he's had plenty of time to visit any place he’d wanted to visit and explore dishes and specialities to the point where it would be extremely shameful if he chose to not keep an open mind about new dishes. I also think he’s particularly fond of Korean dishes (in a similar fashion to Hyun) simply because it feels like home, especially if it’s traditional enough that it can bring him back to the beginning of it all, perhaps without reminding of the contexts that had made the beginning difficult. And I also think he might be a little bit of a gourmet: he’ll absolutely eat what he can get, considering how fond he seems to be of beer he can’t say he doesn’t like junk food or anything you could get and/or make easily. But for some reason I have a feeling that Shin thinks of food in a ‘the eye wants its part too’ fashion, meaning that he also enjoys when something looks good, when it’s presented well, and when it looks like it’s trying to make an impression - which is something we’ve seen him do before. Kim Shin is characterised by an interesting combination of ancient and modern, old and young, where he is both wise and petulant, reliable and petty, and these many contrasts living within his personality, can present themselves in something as simple as cuisine, too. So, yeah, he’ll eat ramyeon. But also that Canadian steak. And he loves homemade... and sitting in fancy restaurants.
-. What’s something that gives him utter peace as soon as it’s there? The people he loves. The Goblin has lived so long, has seen so many things, has owned a great deal of trinkets, properties, treasures. But nothing material can bring him the peace that the people he holds dear to his heart can. Because even objects with value only have said value because they remind him of those he’s had to move on from, loved ones he no longer gets to see. So, he might show anger at losing a plate Louis XIV used to eat on, but did that plate bring him peace? No. Does knowing Ji Eun-tak is safe, sleeping in a room in his house, hopefully soundly, bring him peace? Yes. Does the pitter patter of Saja’s houseslippers headed towards his bedroom bring him peace? Yes. Does purposefully ignoring Deok-hwa’s faux innocent smile in his peripheral asking him for money bring him peace? Yes. Simply getting to sit there and witness the people he loves be themselves, alive, hopefully well, going about their existence by pursuing their hobbies, engaging in their quirks and habits, is the most Shin doesn’t dare to ask for. That’s when he’s tranquil: when he gets to see those he loves be, free of plight, or imminent danger. When he’s sitting on their couch and watching Eun-tak spread her homework across their coffee table and occasionally shoot him that special smile, while Saja slurps on his milk and gets too invested in a drama playing on TV, and Deok-hwa is walking into the room babbling about some girl-related nonsense, well... What more can he possibly want?
-. How was his life during the Joseon era? I remember one shot of Shin in Joseon era, I think he’s sitting at a table and having a good time, possibly even gossiping about something, I don’t remember the episode this scene was in, nor can I find it anywhere else, but unless I’m having brain fry, I vaguely remember his appearance as well: according to his outfit, he must have been a yangban. Yangban is sort of what you could have considered nobility at the time, the ruling class of the Joseon dynasty, made up of military officials and/or scholars. Why am I mentioning this? Well, because obviously Kim Shin would have found a way to become a yangban. The title/class of Yangban is, this all according to my research so if I’m wrong shoot me and pls correct me, something a man had to earn by passing certain exams/attending a school, that would basically qualify them for the social status that would then turn the entire family into a yangban family (also because women couldn’t take these exams and studies, nor become officials or scholars, but could still inherit the title of yangban female from their fathers, for example). So, how was his life during the Joseon era? Well, high class I would say. I don’t remember what was being discussed in that scene, so I can’t say for sure, but I can’t see Shin choosing to become a military official yet again. Considering his experiences with the empire while serving it as a general, I can see Shin simply defying from the crown by minding his own and no longer offering his self and his services in any direct way to the palace. I can see him as a scholar, perhaps simply living his life as a yangban male and every now and then attending a few things just to maintain his status, all while he simply continued to explore the country and play pranks on other officials. And I can’t tell you why, but I can absolutely see him play pranks on other officials, or sneak some reading material to a daughter, or monopolise the attention of court ladies just because he can, going as far, of course, as he can get away with flirting with anyone at the time. He most definitely grew fond of a few faces here and there, since Shin is literally incapable of not growing fond of someone, once you enter his heart, you simply do, it’s far too big for a man like him, and far too willing, far too desiring, desiring to give and receive love, to give and receive attention, to give and receive the warmth and familiarity of connections. So, he led a good life, definitely financially speaking and simply in terms of quality, he was probably annoying for some, and probably avoided the very centre of palace life, because I can see him not wanting to have as much to do with royalty anymore.
-. Are there certain things in the past that he wishes could be available in the modern world, or is he fully comfortable with what's at hand? Shin is the sentimental type. I’m not even headcanoning it, and even if he attempts to hide it, he usually does an awful job at hiding just how much he cares and how much things affect him. He’s very loud and almost obnoxious at times in his reactions, he explains himself the same way a child might at times, he’s excitable, and he doesn’t feel shame to show Saja how much it matters to him, what impression he’d make in front of Eun-tak. He cares, and while vocal admittances are usually reserved for those very serious moments, he’s always proving just how sentimental he is. So, I would say, it’s a yes to both those alternatives. First the latter: yes, he’s fully comfortable with what’s at hand, because the modern world simply has so much to offer that he enjoys. Even if he doesn’t understand it or make regular use of it, you can see him move about the modern world rather comfortably, learn about any new customs, institutions, or ways of living. He keeps himself up to date (the business card thing, I swear-), he likes to tap into new passions and likes. And at the same time, he loves the world he came from. I always feel like, compared to perhaps Hyun, who I’m mentioning here because you know him which makes comparison easier (;3), who doesn’t feel himself to belong in any particular era but rather to existence as a whole, whenever I watch Shin, he’s extremely self-aware of the fact that his time on Earth has long ‘expired’. Other than the fact that he literally should have died back in Goryeo, one of the things that kind of fortifies this idea for me is what Shin looks like when he does actually die (and then returns): he’s dressed in the same clothes he wore when he ‘died’ in Goryeo. Shin’s soul seems to belong to Goryeo still, and as such, the life he’d led at the time (now, personal interpretation) somehow feels like The life, his life, while all the centuries that followed had been the extension. The culture, the habits, the food, the garments, anything, honestly, that belongs to Goryeo feels as if it’s something Shin knows, things he grew up with, things that shaped him, that was his time, and the modern world, Joseon, they’re times he’s visiting, even if it’s against his will. That’s the vibes I get. And I realise this answer is perhaps a little too much in contrast to the question :’3
-. How would he feel if a particular gumiho suddenly hugged him from behind? 👀 Oh YEAH- Now, I could answer this question by dipping into what we’ve seen Shin do in the canon in romantic scenarios/romantic-coded scenes, but I don’t want to. Because I don’t want to recycle reactions and demeanour he portrayed for/relating to Eun-tak, I want to explore what he does, and who he is, in the particular world that is verse 4 (because, this is a particular verse for Shin as well, since Yeo’s the bride <w<). SO, the reaction obviously always depends on what stage of their relationship they’re in <w< In the canon, he usually startles when Saja does anything remotely romantic(-coded?) (well, safe for some scenes where he looks a little surprised but not displeased-), but in my boat- Circumstances are different, Yeo/the person is different, and they’ve been interacting differently. I think at a point in time in which nothing has been said but a lot has perhaps been done and/or hinted at, insinuated, he’d probably startle and not really know what to do with himself. The worry that this is just a fox-antic meant to tease him or poke fun at him might be small, but very much present, so he’d just try to play it off with some lame line, half-jokingly insinuating Yeo’s being sweet because he wants something, or even straight up interpret it as Yeo holding onto him because he stumbled and Shin was just... there, to hold onto to so he doesn’t have to fall flat on his face. Have things been... discussed though, honestly, we know sometimes Shin acts like a shy virgin, which is honestly adorable, and he might even act that way a little bit in this scenario where he just has that goofy smile on his face and is doing that flustered shifty eyes thing, but I also like to think that the moment Yeo’s arms are around him, Shin just.. laughs. Like, a warm, heartful chuckle, as he leans back into Yeo’s chest and just kind of leans his head back and turns it enough to be able to look at Yeo, give him a silly flirty one-liner, maybe try to get a kiss out of hi- Or he’ll end up turning around in his arms still to grab his face and SMOOCH HIM- Might be vary slightly depending on what Shin’s doing, but this is the gist of it, yet, no matter what, sMOOCH FINALE-

Back to Field Season 5, Episode 12
- Nomnomnom
Tumblr media
- One of the people who wrote letters was an X-back and Huang Lei asked Yixing why his fans were called Beike, which means shells. Yixing was like because they’re hard/tough, which is something I didn’t know lol.
- The name of this book is “if you can’t lead a team then you can only work to death” and He Jiong was laughing at how aggressive the title was XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Yixing went to read the book because we know how these days he’s into learning how to be a good CEO. Also he has been working to death so maybe if he learns to lead a team he can live a longer life lmao.
Tumblr media
- Huang Lei was helping to fix a small table to a wall, but he backed out afterwards being like “I’m leading so I won’t work myself to death” as per the title of this book lol.
Tumblr media
- Not gonna lie, organizing books seems like a really fun job. First of all, I love organizing things. But as they were organizing the books, they would comment on the books that were there, or recommend some favourites.
- Yixing, Pengpeng, and Meimei went to greet the kids at the dock. After they left Huang Lei was like “where is that book about teams that Yixing was reading?” Turns out Yixing stole it for the road lol.
Tumblr media
- He continued reading it on the boat.
Tumblr media
- ASDJFKL; THE WU YIFAN PART. One of the kids in the group was called Wu Yifan. I can’t believe they let this air lol. (I believe this aired right before mid-July when his situation really blew up though)
Tumblr media
- Look at Pengpeng’s face though. He was like “!!! Are we allowed to talk about this?!?!??!!”
Tumblr media
- Basically this Wu Yifan kid just wanted to go home. Yixing was like “do you like to read?” and he was like no. And then he asked him if he liked candy and he was like no. What a tough customer.
Tumblr media
- They were trying to tell the kids about the opening of the library but the kids just kept talking haha. And then Pengpeng was like “Ultraman is gonna be there! Do you like Ultraman?” And the kids went wild lol.
Tumblr media
- Anyway the three were giving the kids candy and letting them know about the library’s opening. One of the kids went back to get another lollipop for their mom uwu.
- They were passing by the kids going home as they rode back on their bikes. It was so cute.
Tumblr media
- This granny was carrying vegetables herself so the kids offered to drop her off where she needed to be.
Tumblr media
- There was a tape covering the stove because they were temporarily not allowed to use it. Now they’re allowed to, so they took off the tape, but Huang Lei turned it into a sash and whoever wears it is allowed to do nothing lmfao.
Tumblr media
- Everybody was required to sit with the guests for 10 minutes each and they were like bro lol. (I think they’re both writers, if I remember correctly)
Tumblr media
- He Jiong asked Yixing to explain what the book was about and he went on this huge spiel lol.
Tumblr media
- Zhi An was like but you have to take a look at who the author is and whether they’re a good businessperson and team leader and Shi Hang was like they definitely aren’t because why would they be writing books if they were such a successful boss? XD
- He Jiong, Zhi An, and Shi Hang were talking so much and Yixing was just like, oh, who to listen to? So cute haha.
Tumblr media
- The authors asked Yixing whether he would cry while he read books and he said no. But then Zhi An was like he read these non-fiction books, why would he cry? Lmao.
- Huang Lei, Yixing, and Pengpeng stayed at the Mushroom house while the others went to the library to fix up some signs and things. Huang Lei asked Yixing what he got from this show, since it was nearing its close. As expected, Yixing said he learned a lot but Huang Lei was like okay besides learning though? (I’m glad that Huang Lei asked him this because Yixing is the kind of person who only thinks in terms of inputs and outputs. Boy doesn’t know how to enjoy life, and that’s what this show is about. Just learning to go with the flow. Sometimes things are out of your control and that’s fine. You just learn to live alongside it.)
- Huang Lei asked him about his friendship with Pengpeng. They'd only met like once before, but we saw that they got together very well in this show. I think part of this is because Pengpeng himself is very relaxed.
- Shi Hang brought a lot of books for kids!
Tumblr media
- Zhi An brought his own books that he’d written.
Tumblr media
- Huang Lei said that Yixing had eaten a lot that day. Shi Hang was like “it’s because he’s eating for the rest of his team” XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- Yixing asked for recommendations on books for light reading. Zhi An had so much trouble making a recommendation and the other dudes were giving him so much shit for it lol. Zhi An asked Yixing for his interests because it’s hard to make a recommendation if you don’t know what the other person likes and Shi Hang and He Jiong were like IT DOESN’T MATTER> Shi Hang made a recommendation about a book that was about zoos, because he felt it was relevant to the teamwork book Yixing had been reading earlier. Zhi An thought it was a bit eccentric. (I don’t think he meant it in a bad way though, I think Zhi An meant that he didn’t have any books to recommend that were like that) And then Huang Lei was like oh what about The Three Body Problem and Zhi An was like ehh I don’t know lmfao. (I agree, I don’t consider the Three Body Problem to be light reading. It’s definitely heavy) So basically the dudes were like Zhi An you’re being too difficult! I understand Zhi An though. If somebody asked me some recommendations for light reading I literally only have like one book I would recommend because I wouldn’t consider the other books I liked to be light reading.
- Zhi An finally recommended a book called 人生的因素, and I looked up the English name for it, which is simply Collected Short Stories of W. Somerset Maugham. Maybe I should check it out. Anyway, Zhi An’s advice was that the point of light reading is that the book should be an enjoyable experience first and foremost, and you needn’t worry whether the book has a good message or not.
- The kid Wu Yifan comes back lmao, he’s one of the first kids who arrives at the library (did they do this on purpose??). Anyway, looks like this kid is one of those who cannot be controlled lol. Huang Lei had to call out to him because he’d ran past their house.
- One of the kids asked He Jiong if he was a celebrity and he was like “no, we aren’t, we just live over at the mushroom house!” My guess is that he’s trying not to intimidate the kids, and also because kids shouldn’t have to think about stuff like celebrity and fame at such a young age. But also, imagined if there was a house in your village consisting of two dads and three kids with all different surnames XD That would be so hilarious.
- Anyway, all the kids are here! For some reason it makes me coo when friends hold hands. It’s probably because I’m a touch-starved North American.
Tumblr media
- This little boy got hurt on the way running there and Huang Lei went full dad mode being like 沒事,沒事, don’t cry. Later he helped him put iodine on his cut.
Tumblr media
- Here’s the audience. Yes, that is Huang Bo sitting with the kids.
Tumblr media
- Shi Hang and Zhi An were explaining to the kids what kind of books there are in the library. Shi Hang is so good at speaking to the kids.
Tumblr media
- Pengpeng was a bit nervous as the MC haha. He was a little jumpy, and you can see the nervousness because he smiles a lot (I do that too).
- Yixing on the other hand is a surprisingly good MC, but he’s had years and years of variety experience so this doesn’t surprise me. Anyway he set up a game for the kids where they would look for a specific book.
- Special guest ULTRAMAN!!!!
Tumblr media
- Wu Kai and Liu Xiaoyi put on a puppet show for the kids, which was kind of cute. It included some interaction with the audience, which is great for kids.
- Double entertainment where Yixing is in charge of ice cream dispensing, and Huang Bo organized a game for the kids that would determine their line up order for the ice cream.
Tumblr media
- After the event, some of the kids stayed at the library to read and draw and write, and it was very cute. One of the kids was like “Zifeng Jiejie don’t go!!” But Zifeng was like “I have to go home!” It was cute haha.

“Cybersex.” Baekhyun (m) Robot!bbh
[Artificial Intelligence!Baekhyun/Robot!Baekhyun]
Genre: Smut/Fluff
Word count: 3.5k
Playlist: Cybersex - Doja Cat/Say so-Doja Cat
Summary: You order your first AI because you’re lonely, but the AI seems to be more in control of you than you are of him.
Tumblr media
Dragging the tab to customize your characters face, you make a sound as it comes together. Your customized character looks absolutely fuckable. In your own words.
Your friend—Yeri—introduced you to a very popular company that allows you to custom a robot/AI and have it delivered right to your door step. This was a dangerous thing you’ve considered many times. What if the AI becomes something evil? Your worries were just childish but valid. Your friend assured you nothing bad would happen, you could always report it to the company.
She went on to tell you how she’s had her AI for about a year and nothing has happened. You remember coming over to meet her robot—man. He was charming to say the least, with the modern technology they’ve developed over the years, they’ve replicated human emotions almost perfectly. Some interactions are still awkward and stiff between the human and AI.
“It’s expensive but worth it, I need somebody.” You talk yourself into hitting the confirm order button. You stare at the button for over 5 minutes before clicking it and instantly regret.
“W-wait.” You breathe out, what if this was the worst thing you’ve done yet?
***
“Y/n you can’t cancel it...Once the order is made you can’t go back.” Yeri tells you over lunch. You’re both eating veggie burgers with a side of fries. You explained how you’ve tried everything to cancel your order to the company.
“I cant believe I just blew so much money on fucking AI.” You sulk in your seat, the truth is, you’re lonely and need a companion but literally buying one isn’t the way to go about it. Right?
“I just wanted someone to share my time with.” You confess, embarrassed. “Is there really no way to cancel my order?” You ask for the third time.
Yeri sighs, “No. Y/n, just think of it as a treat for yourself. There’s no harm done with wanting company!” She manages to cheer you up about the situation in which you’ve spent a large sum on a robot man.
If there’s no way you’re getting your money back then you might as well start making a place for it to stay.
You and Yeri shop for things to decorate its room with. Living in a two bed apartment, you had the space for the AI to live. Or exist, whatever it will do.
Your phone dings, indicating a text message. You check your phone, a message displaying across the screen. “AI has been delivered.”
It’s been only a day.
“Yeri!?!” You yell in the middle of checking out.
She turns to you with wide eyes, “What’s wrong? Do you not like the bedding that much? I’ll change—“
“It says he’s been delivered!” You whisper yell, you didn’t want anyone knowing you fell into society’s trap of having an AI.
Yeri’s face relaxes, “Their delivery has gotten faster, Chanyeol took about three days for them to ship him.” She smiles fondly, “We should go to your house asap.”
***
“I didn’t freaking know he would get here the very next day!” You’re more freaked out by the very tall box that’s standing by your front door.
“I-is he alive in there?” You tap the box.
“He has to be activated first silly.” Yeri giggles at you, pushing the box past your door way. “Let’s go!”
“Yeri im terrified.” The heavy box has been standing in your living room for almost 20 minutes. Yeri has had enough of your hesitating self, she’s taken the responsibility into her own hands to open the box.
“Instructions. These are important, so don’t throw them away, got it?” She talks you through the unboxing. She pulls the wings of the cardboard back and you see a hand.
“Oh my god!” You cover your eyes. This can’t be fucking happening.
Yeri tears away the plastic the robot is wrapped in. You peep through your fingers. He’s absolutely breathtaking. You gasp audibly.
“Oh my god, Y/n. You made this?!” Yeri’s surprised by how handsome he is, giving his shoulder a squeeze. “Oh he’s toned, lets activate him!”
Yeri takes your phone and goes to the app of the company. She navigates through some steps before coming to a loading bar.
“Once this is filled up then you’ll have yourself a man!” Yeri’s clapping happily as she sits beside you to wait patiently. “You did such a good job, his face is so handsome.”
You’re jaw is still on the ground, you can’t believe your creation is here in the...flesh? You’re scared but at the same time you’re also excited.
“It’s almost finished.” Yeri’s voice breaks you out of your staring competition with the robot that has ceased to live yet. “Complete!”
A sound is emitted from the app, a beeping and a few buzzing sounds before its quiet. You can Yeri are hanging off the edge of the couch.
“Did it work—“
The AI jolts to life and looks around the room before introducing himself, “Hello, my name is Baekhyun.” A smile reaches his face and he looks even more handsome.
You’re forced to stand, reaching out to take his hand, shaking it. “H-hello my name is Y/n. It’s nice to finally meet you, Baekhyun.” Your hand is sweaty and you’re hoping he isn’t able to feel it.
“Your hand is damp, sweaty palms is an indicator that the person is nervous. Am I making you nervous Y/n?” The AI says intelligently, his voice is soothing. It’s also embarrassing that he just pointed that out.
“I’m sorry, I’ve been nervous since I ordered you...” You’re uncomfortable claiming that you bought him right to his face. Is it like an unnamed rule that you shouldn’t mention it?
“That is a normal reaction I suppose.” He laughs, your heart melts and your stomach erupts with butterflies. “Your brain is releasing oxytocin and cortisol, now your blood vessels around your gut are constricting. You must be feeling nauseous now, or as you humans call it ‘having butterflies in your stomach’.”
How can he tell by just standing near you?! It’s almost creepy!
“Baekhyun you’re very knowledgeable, you know that?” Yeri jumps in to slice the awkward conversation. She stands up to shake Baekhyun’s hand introducing herself.
“Nice to meet you, Yeri.”
“I actually have an AI of my own, his name is Chanyeol.”
“I’ve never heard that name before. He must be a customized model?” Baekhyun asks.
Yeri nods, “I should introduce him to you one day!” That’s not a bad idea, Baekhyun will probably become lonely here when you’re out.
Baekhyun smiles before shifting his attention to you. “You are my creator, correct?”
His question throws you off for a second. “Yes.”
“Alright, you must answer a few questions for my system if that’s alright.”
“Ah yes, that’s fine, please come and sit.” You and Baekhyun sit next to each other while Yeri wonders off into the kitchen for food.
Baekhyun asks questions such as what his duties are, or where he may or may not go in the house, ect.
“What is my purpose?” He asks, a blue dot by his ear lights up.
“For keeping me company...” You couldn’t blatantly tell him he was here because you wanted a man in your life! What kind of creator would you look like?
“Just company?” Baekhyun smirks almost, a questioning look on his face. He doesn’t press further, not wanting to make you uncomfortable. He could sense your heart rate increase at his questions. Your cheeks were becoming red by the minute. Each question would result in a stuttering response from you. Baekhyun found you fascinating.
“That is all I needed thank you, my system will accommodate to you based on the answers you provided.”
“Ah, no problem.” You can’t help but stare at him, he’s just so perfect. The round rip of his nose and the curve of his cheeks. It’s all so inhuman.
“I h-have a question actually.” You turn to face Baekhyun, your leg brushing his.
He nods encouraging you to speak.
“May I touch your face? I know it sounds weird but I just can’t stop staring at it, I know I created your face and all but I just want to see for myself. You know? Should I not mention that I created you? Does it make you uncomfortable? I won’t do it if you’re uncomfortable—“
Baekhyun interrupts your speech by grabbing your hand and placing it on his cheek. “Fleshy exterior and a metal interior. I’m made of 60 percent of customized silicone to replicate human skin. But the rest of me is various metals. You may ask any other questions you might have, I will answer to the best of my abilities.” His voice is silk, not skipping even one beat as he spoke.
Your hand hesitates in feeling around his face, tracing his nose and pinching his cheeks even. He feels just like a human. “What’s your hair made of?”
“100 percent human hair.” He chuckles, his hands in his lap. “My teeth are made of the silicone and various muscles replicated are made from the silicone, but with variations of densities with making one organ harder or squishy. Here touch it.” He sticks out his tongue and you grab it without hesitation. It’s wet and rough like a tongue.
“Wow, thats so freaky.”
“Right? The wondrous world of AI technology!” Baekhyun’s first joke to crack has you giggling endlessly.
***
‘He’s charming’ is your first thought of Baekhyun, he hasn’t stopped making you laugh since he’s arrived. Another thing is that he’s understanding, you’ve been sharing your personal life with him and he’s listened the whole time without judgement. He’s even given you well constructed advice.
“Ah! I forgot, Yeri and I were actually shopping for your room today. We picked up a few things, we weren’t sure what you’d like since...you know.” You led him to his room which was right across form yours.
“Wow that’s very considerate of you both, I really appreciate it.” Baekhyun looks around, the rooms to his liking. He doesn’t know exactly what he likes about it but he’s content with it.
“If you want anything else to decorate it with just let me know!” You stand at the door with your hands together. It’s an awkward silence before Baekhyun speaks.
“Is there anything that you would like me to do?”
“Oh, I—no. Not right now, no.” Your stuttering response makes Baekhyun emit a laugh.
“You don’t have to be nervous around me Y/n. I am your creation think of me as...” He pauses to think, his chin in his hand. He looks back at you, “Think of me as if i’m just your boyfriend!”
You choke on your spit, alarming Baekhyun who stands up to pat your back.
“Baekhyun I think i’m going to take a shower feel free to wonder the apartment.” You spit out before practically running to your room. If he wasn’t a fucking AI you would jump his bones right then and there.
You try to calm your heart rate with a steamy shower. The mirrors fogged up and you’re listening to your music on a low volume, minding your new roommate.
You’re shaving your legs when you hear the door open. You pause, did you hear right? There’s no possible way he would—
The shower curtain is ripped back and reveals a naked Baekhyun.
“Baekhyun—close the curtain! What are you doing in here!?” You scream in terror, your AI has literally just seen you naked.
“I thought this was an invitation? Did I read you wrong? Your body temperature was very high and your eyes were dilated. Those were signs of attraction, then you said you would go shower, I thought—“
“Baekhyun get out!” You cut him off by yelling.
Baekhyun leaves the bathroom. You’re absolutely mortified and embarrassed. You get out the shower wrapping a towel around your body to dry off. You begin to dress when you notice the shadow of his feet. You pull open the door, standing face to face with Baekhyun.
“Y/n, I ran through my system to see what mistake I made and I apologize.” He looks down at you, his arms at his side. He looks so robotic.
“Baekhyun don’t come into the bathroom when I’m in here... People take showers alone, okay?” You’re straining from what you want to actually say. Please fuck me now, Baekhyun.
“Yes Y/n.” There’s a pause. “Did you like it?”
“Like what?”
“The body you created.” He almost smirks, and you want to wipe it off his face. His subtle cocky attitude makes you uncomfortably horny.
“Seeing as your body temperature is rising again and you’re blinking a lot. And also how your brain is releasing plenty of dopamine and also your nipples are poking through your shirt. You must have enjoyed a part of it.” He’s leaning closer, blocking you from running.
“Tell me Y/n. Do you want to test if this body can meet your expectations? Would you like a test drive?” Baekhyun’s mouth is by your ear, his breath fanning the side of your face.
You can barely respond with a nod, not trusting your voice.
“I need words, I need your verbal permission. I will not hold back If you agree Y/n.” The way he says your name, your kitty is dripping already.
“Yes, Baekhyun. Please take me.” You gain a small amount of confidence from his want. His desire. Your hands grips his toned arms.“I want you.” You whisper.
Baekhyun picks you up with inhuman strength and carries you to your room. He tosses you on the bed.
“I would ask how you like it, but telling by your arousal at me throwing you on the bed I’d conclude you enjoy it rough.”
His words shoot right to your kitty. Fuck, how could this robot possess so much sex appeal right now? Looking like that should be a punishable crime.
You’re also curious, as to how he will perform. Will he be inhumanly perfect? Will he be careful? They are questions begging to be answered.
“What are you thinking of at a time like this? You’re zoning out.” Baekhyun straddles you on the bed, his hands running up your sides to take hold of your hands. He pins them above you, glaring down at you.
“Keep your mind only on what’s happening in this room.”
“I was thinking about you.” You bite your lip as you shamefully admit your dirty thoughts.
“Were you?” His eyes travel down to your lips, he licks his own.
“I was thinking of how you would be..in bed.”
“Is that so? Why don’t I just demonstrate.” Baekhyun dips his head to catch your lips with his. His lips taste like cherry, how could this be? His hand comes to the side of your face to caress your cheek. He’s gentle.
“Go ahead then.” You gain confidence at his desire, once more.
“Yes, Y/n.” He breaks away to let a smirk play on his lips. He starts with your nightgown, taking off the lacy slip. He kisses your shoulders and over your collarbones. His hand travels to your waist, holding you. You breathe calmly, the nervousness melting away with each kiss set by Baekhyun.
“Your heart rate has calmed but your body temperature is rising. How adorable.” He pushes your panties down teasingly, not taking them off. You roll your eyes, pushing him by his shoulder. For an artificial man he posses enough charisma and sex appeal to charm you out of your panties yourself.
He lets the band of your panties smack against your skin. You whine and pout, furrowing your brows at him. Baekhyun puts his hand over your clothed kitty, letting a single finger push down and sink between your folds. He rubs your clit gently, barely stimulating you but revving your engine nonetheless. You grab onto his wrist, asking him to rub you harder.
“Stop teasing.” You whine at his dainty touch, wanting to be petted way heavier than what he’s giving. Baekhyun laughs at your desperate attempts. He gives in and presses harder on your clit, rubbing in circles. You moan quietly, biting your lip quickly after.
Baekhyun’s brows furrow at the sound of your moans, his ears have never heard such a sound before. He rubs your clit harder to hear the song once more. You hold out trying not to embarrass yourself but it slips out when Baekhyun licks up your neck.
“Your moans are so adorable, Y/n.” You feel his voice vibrate through his chest.
Baekhyun slips his hand into your panties, touching your bare clit, his fingers become sticky and damp. The sounds coming from between your thighs fill the room, along with your heavy breathing. Baekhyun seems to be the only one unaffected.
“How can you not be out of breath?” You ask, turning your head to face him.
Baekhyun grins at the layer of sweat over your body. “Oh, Sweetheart. I am very much affected.” He takes your hand and places it over his chest, his hearts beating fast. “You caused this.”
He catches your lips in his and your hand sneaks up to the side of his face. His finger dipping into your hole surprising you, you jolt and let out a surprised squeak.
“The noises you make, I could listen to them all day.” Baekhyun confesses, he sits up, positioning you to lay on your stomach.
You lay obediently, becoming anxious for his touch. His thighs are on either side of your ass, his hand lands on the small of your back. His fingers walk up your spine to your shoulders, then down to the small of your back.
“Baekhyun stop playing, grab my ass.” You whine, arching your back for him even further.
Baekhyun erupts with laughter, “You’re so impatient.” He smacks your ass before grabbing it and soothing the sting. He slides off your panties tossing them on the floor. He has full access to your pussy. He dips his fingers between your thighs, rubbing you from behind. It feels as if the sensation feels more intense in this position.
You moan softly, earning a grunt from Baekhyun. You turn your head to see his face. He’s already looking at you. His dark eyes are penetrating yours. You feel as if you can’t hold out anymore.
“Baekhyun, please fuck me.”
Baekhyun undresses in an instant, you didn’t have to tell him twice. He’s positioning himself up to your pussy and slowly slides in. You almost cry out from the stretch. His length is perfect but he’s thicker than anyone you’ve ever had. He bottoms out, resting his hand on your hip. He slides out and thrusts forward slowly, letting out a low moan in your ear. His chest touches your back. Your breathing is uneven and your heart is beating fast. You could feel every inch of Baekhyun, his delicious cock buried inside of you. Baekhyun wraps and arm around your neck, holding you to him. He starts thrusting quickly, you squeeze your eyes shut at the pleasure.
Your climax begins to build, the knot in your stomach unraveling slowly. You reach down to rub your clit but Baekhyun slaps your hand away, rubbing it himself. You almost feel sensitive at the way he’s rubbing it and you jerk away from his touch.
“Baekhyun i’m about to cum!” You whine loudly, biting down on his arm. The slapping noises emitting from you both fill the room and the bed creaks quietly. The air is filled with sex and the smell of sweat.
Baekhyun furrows his brows as he speeds uo his thrusts. Your body is buried in the mattress, your hip burning from his grip on it. You feel as if any second you will—
“Ah~” Your feet dig into Baekhyun’s lower back, pressing him further into you. Your greedy kitty contracts around his length as Baekhyun tries to reach his own climax. Is it possible for an AI to ejaculate? You find out soon when Baekhyun lets out an animalistic grunt and your back is covered in a sticky wet goodness. Your feet drop back into the bed, fatigue plaguing you as your head rests on Baekhyun’s arm under you. You can feel his heavy breathing evening out as he rolls off of you.
“Well?” He breathes out, looking over at you.
You look up at him with droopy eyes. “Well what?”
“How was my performance, did I meet your expectations?” His toothy smile melts your heart once more. You place a hand on his chest, curling up by his side.
“You were amazing, I didn’t think I would cum so hard by an AI.” You tease poking your tongue out at Baekhyun. He spanks your ass and you giggle.
“This AI can do more than make you cum more than once, Sweetheart.”

SasuHina Month 2020- Day 3
Prompt I’d Choose You Again and Again
Mirror, Mirros -Part 3
The nightmares didn’t stop. She’d wake up in a cold sweat turn on the lights and look at the mirror, with dark rubies instead of red, that was broken, the only thing that differed was the image, once it would be of her lover from the dream; than of a little girl than a little boy and the cycle would start anew.  The strangest things about the whole thing was that instead of waking up scared, her heart would indeed pound, but she woke up feeling a sadness so deep she could barely breath. The events of the dreams differ from time to time the only thing they have in common is that they all start out nice and end up with her in the closet with her the ghost of her lover.
Apart from the dreams nothing else was weird, Hinata’s life went on as normal. Go to work, go see her family or friends if she has the time and return home. Soon enough the holiday would end and Uni would start again and she’d have to reduce her hours at the diner; so Hinata was working as many hours as she could at that moment, especially having taken a week off to go see Neji.
The good thing about the diner was that the owner, Teuchi, the cook Ayane were very nice people. The other waitresses were also nice but Hinata didn’t interact as much with them. She loved the diner mainly because of its vintage style with the checked floor, the red stools and red booths. The uniform was anything they wanted to wear as long as it was a white top and black bottoms. Their nametag was brooch like and could be pinned to any top.
Teuchi had called her around noon the day before asking if she could cover a double shift, because one of the girls called in sick all of a sudden, to which Hinata agreed. She decided to wear a white T-shirt tucked in a skater skirt and a pair of black flats. She did own clothing items that were not vintage but she preferred to throw in something quite old into the mix; that day she chose to wear a red headband; the story behind that particular item was that it was an actual headband wore by a pinup model in the 50s. She took her jean jacket with her because despite being summer still, the nights were starting to get colder, autumn was making its presence known.
The day went on without any trouble, being summer, the diner was quite busy but that wasn’t all that bad; it kept Hinata occupied from thinking about the nightmares she’d been having. Around the middle of her second shift Hinata started feeling tired and her feet were killing her from walking back and forth the whole day. Thankfully dinner hour had just about ended and there were only a few more people around, most of them teens or young adults that only stopped by to eat something before going to a party. The other waitress had left about 40 minutes before.
All tables were set for the moment so Hinata could take a break herself and eat something. Ayane made her favorite veggie burger with sweet potato fries. The music was soft and mellow so people could talk, the lights weren’t blinding and everything about the diner just made Hinata feel at home. She had loved it from the moment she stepped inside it a few years ago looking for a job that she could handle while she was still in high school at the time. Hinata was just taking her plate back to the kitchen when the doorbell rang signaling new customers.
“I swear you’re going to love this place” Said a cheerful voice. Hinata recognized the voice and smiled to herself. Naruto was one of their most common customers. He’d pass by at least once a day and almost always ordered the very same thing. The diner served traditional Japanese fast food but also “normal” diner menu. Hinata took out her notepad to write down Naruto’s order despite knowing by heart exactly what he wanted.
Naruto noticed her walking their way and smiled at her and she smiled right back, he had that effect on people, his positivity was just contagious.
“Hey Naruto. We were getting worried since you haven’t been by in a few days” Hinata said, it was mostly a joke but she did notice his absence in the past 2-3 days.
“Yea sorry about that. I had to help Teme move in so there was no time to swing by” The blonde answered and nodded towards his friend. Hinata’s eyes moved to the guy standing on the other side of the booth.
The moment their eyes met she got goosebumps. She didn’t have time to analyze what was happening because Naruto started talking again.
“We’ll have two of my normal order” He said to her. “It’s the best thing here you have to try that first” he said to his friend.
As in a daze Hinata walked back to the kitchen and told Ayane the order. “Nobody new came I’m taking a 5-minute break ok?” Hinata said and hurried to the back door.
Her hands were trembling and her heart was beating much faster than it would normal. Naruto’s friend, he was the man from her dreams. The one holding her close and whispering her name. He was the man to hold out his hand and watch her kill herself in the dream. She had read somewhere that every face you see in your dreams is a person you’ve seen somewhere, on the street, on tv, in pictures. Your brain can not come up on its own with new faces. She must have seen him somewhere before today.
‘But Naruto had said he just moved here’
‘No, he said he moved. Maybe he moved from an apartment to the other, from living with his family or a roommate to living on his own. People move around in the same town all the time’
‘Right. I’m sure that’s what he meant. That means I saw him before. No biggie’
‘Yes, yes that makes sense’
There was no other explanation. Finishing up the dialogue with herself, having calmed down a little and approving of the reasoning she reached, Hinata went back inside.
The boys’ food wasn’t done yet but one of the tables wished to get the check and leave. After putting the money in the cashier Hinata went back to the kitchen and took the two-ramen bowls to the table. She was trying her best not to look at Naruto’s friend. Despite knowing that the dream was just a coincidence she still felt weird looking at him. Her brain picked his face to illustrate her lover and that was awkward.
“The diner is pretty dead at the time. Why don’t you sit down Hina?” Naruto said and slid to the side to make room for her. Naruto was right the diner was quite empty; besides them there were only 2 other tables occupied and they were both still eating. Hinata wanted to refuse but wasn’t sure how so she took the easier route and said ‘sure’.
“Hinata this is my friend Sasuke. He just transferred here from Kiri.” Naruto introduced the two and Hinata’s panic came back full mode. She had been mistaken. He moved from another town, she hadn’t seen him before, and to top it all his name was Sasuke.
“Nice to meet you. If you don’t mind me asking what’s your family name?” Her voice was oddly calm compared to the storm that was happening in her brain.
‘It’s just a name coincidence I’m sure’
‘He’s not the Sasuke from the mirror. That’s impossible’
“Uchiha” He said and looked at her in a funny way. In 5 seconds Sasuke did so much damage. He had the same name as the one written on the back of the mirror, her nightmares started after buying said mirror, this guy that shared the name from the mirror was a recurring character in her dream, and his voice matched as well, it sounded just as it did when he talked her; when he said she was beautiful in her dreams.
“Nice to meet you” Hinata said her voice was a bit breathless but neither of the guys seemed to notice. What the man said to her when she bought the mirror came back to her ‘The Uchiha curse shall not die miss, make sure you don’t either’ was it really a curse? Too many things were happening for it to be pure coincidence. She was scared.
The following 15 seconds were spent it silence, the boys were eating and Hinata was looking at her own hands. They were clasped tightly on her lap so they’d stop shaking. Thankfully one of the men from the other table signed her to go to their table. Hinata left the booth like it was on fire. Scenes from her nightmare were playing in front of her eyes. The diner was in flames and Sasuke was calling for her, asking for help.
“We’d like the check please” the man that signed for her said.
“Of course” she was working the register when Ayane came out from the kitchen.
“I’m going to turn the sign around so no more people come. Teuchi-san said we can close up earlier today since it’s this slow” Ayane said and she walked back to the register looking at the two tables that were both almost done. “You can go get your things and go home I’ll close up after everyone leaves.”
“Thank you, Ayane-san” Hinata went to the back where her jacket and bag were. She washed her hands in the bathroom before putting on her jacket and going back inside. Ayane was just ringing up the last table. Naruto and his friend had left thankfully. She wasn’t sure what she should do about the mirror, the nightmares, Sasuke. Hinata was still in deep thought when she stepped out of the diner.
“Oh, is your shift over Hina?” Naruto asked scaring her. The boys were just outside in the parking lot next to a beautiful black Impala. Sasuke was smoking not really looking at her. At least that’s what she thought, from the corner of his eye Sasuke had been following her around from the moment his eyes laid on her.
“Yes, I was just going home.” She answered it was a bit rude not to ask what they were up to but she wanted the conversation to end as soon as possible. Normally she’d stay and chit-chat with Naruto for a while, but for obvious reasons that option did not feel safe.
“Sasuke’s almost done with that cig and we can give you a drive home. It’s late and quite cold” The blonde offered.
“Oh, that’s not necessary…”
“We’re going to your neighborhood anyway, Kiba invited us over to his house to play some video games and chill.” Naruto smiled at her. “So, it’s no problem at all. I’d feel much worse if we left you here.”
Her mind was working twice as fast trying to come up with a reason why she should walk home alone. But the blonde didn’t wait for her reply and pretty much dragged her to the car and opened the door for her to get in. Which she did. She never minded Naruto’s pushiness before, but in that moment she felt irritated by it.
Sasuke slid in the driver’s seat and Naruto in the shotgun seat. The drive wouldn’t be more than 10-15 minutes but the silence was deafening.
“I heard you went to USA to see Neji a week ago, how was that?” Naruto was good like that, he always tried to keep the conversation going.
“Yea I did, it was great I missed him a lot.” Naruto talked for most of the drive.
“I don’t really know where you live Hina, I just know the neighborhood so you gotta give Teme some directions from here on”
“Actually, it’s fine if you drop me off here or at Kiba’s I can walk from there” She wasn’t very keen on Sasuke knowing where she lived.
“Oooooor you can come hang out with us if you want, at Kiba’s I mean. He’ll be so pumped to see you.” The Uzumaki stated.
She knew Kiba would like to see her, they’ve talked a few days ago about meeting up but nothing really worked for both of them. She did miss Kiba…
‘Are you nuts? You can’t go. Sasuke will be there…’
‘It’s either that or I tell him my address what if he kills me in my sleep?’
‘O, shoot we went from creepy coincidence to murderer this fast?’
‘I don’t know! But I doubt he’ll try anything with Naruto and Kiba around…right?’
“Yea ok, I’ll join you guys for a while…”
“Great! Don’t text Kiba though I wanna see his face when he sees you.” Naruto said laughing “It’s adorable Sasuke I swear, he turns into a puppy dog whenever Hina is around”
They reached Kiba’s house and all three walked towards the door, Naruto stopped abruptly which made Sasuke stop and Hinata walked into him. Three things happened then at the same time.
1.      Hinata saw the Uchiha symbol on the back of Sasuke’s shirt.
2.      Hinata touched his arm and took a step back to balance herself, so she wouldn’t fall over
3.      Memories of her past life came back to her. All the nightmares made sense, she knew what the mirror meant, who Sasuke was. And the fear she felt just moments before; that fear turned to comfort.
Hinata took another step back, and another. She was overwhelmed by emotions. Utter sadness for the pain she experienced before, joy because she found the love of her life once again, she would find him in every lifetime time and time again. She also felt love, A feeling that Hinata had not experienced in that current life was now flowing inside her and it wanted to break free. Her eyes were watering up and all she wanted to do was hug Sasuke and make sure he is indeed real, but she couldn’t.

➹one make out session, please➹ (peter b. parker x reader)
The sad and divorced man who's become a regular for the past year is constantly spilling his emotions to you, his favorite bartender. This wasn't something new; you can't count with both of your hands the times you've heard someone recount the odyssey of their life. But these flutters in your stomach were definitely something you didn't experience with your customers, and you definitely did not end up making out with them at the end of the night. Maybe Peter B. was your only exception, though.
(PART II)
word count: 7.1k (sorry)
a/n: i tried like 8484 times to add a gif but tumblr wouldn’t let me so ((:: hello @ whoever’s reading this tho!! love how i went from 2k to 7k words lol, i’m sorry about that i don’t know how it happened. feel free to help me out w ideas and send requests if you want (: hope u enjoy !! Tiresome was a massive understatement when it came to having to describe enduring the same routine most nights. Not that you slept peacefully like a newborn baby all the time before taking a job as a bartender at the bar; but once in a while, when you returned home and watched the bright red numbers of the clock switch to 5 o’clock in the morning since your brain was punishing you by not giving you your well deserved rest, you sure did miss those simpler times when you didn’t work at night. Yes, at first it may be amusing to watch a drunk customer go haywire as they try to understand the meaning of life, and it’s nice listening to the story of how someone ended up drinking five shots of tequila that evening. You relished listening to other people’s problems, their stories, their lives— perhaps because, as much as it ashamed you to admit it, you didn’t make much out of yours. However, two years of the same old passed, and soon enough, every conversation and dusk began to blur together; everything became a monotonous daze, like an old movie replaying endlessly every week. The obvious route would be to quit your job as a bartender before you lost your mind, but the old lady who owned the bar paid somewhat generously considering the career— both with affection and money— and, despite how cocky it might’ve sounded, you knew well that the customers would be lost without your glorious daiquiris and margaritas. You’d also grown fond of the few people there and the new friends you made once in a while; you didn’t have the exact explanation as to why, but whilst you were in that hazy trance, you were quite the charmer.
Every night was just like that: nothing more than a few more hours to your life, until a man who you guessed was probably nearing his forties and with a really, really nice nose (what could you say? You had an appreciation for the art of beautiful noses), dropped on the stool directly in front of you with a heavy sigh.
“One whiskey served over ice, please.” He muttered, resting his chin on the palm of his hand. You didn’t think much about it as your hands got to work and moments later handed the man his drink. You later spent your time trying to distract yourself with the preparation of other beverages, yet your eyes were drawn to him momentarily once or twice. Even as you talked with a tourist— a woman from Croatia asking about the best restaurants and stores in the city— the image of the guy itched at the back of your head, and you couldn’t figure out why. He was attractive, you decided, in spite of his rugged looks; he honestly appeared as if a train had hit him. Whether it was a physical or emotional train, you wouldn’t be surprised if it had been both.
The tourist sadly ended your conversation, distracted by the game on the TV, but you took it as an opportunity to comply with your desires and approach the man. You see, you liked to believe you possessed powers— useless ones, to say the least: just by a quick scan, you knew if a person needed a good talk; it could’ve been after their third drink, maybe even when they’re still sober. Suddenly, though, your bartender-senses abandoned you along with your charm and you simply couldn’t find a way to spark up a conversation with the guy. Really? You thought to yourself. Right now, when a cute older dude is sitting right in front of you, probably in need of your comradeship? Yeah, he was most definitely older than you, perhaps by some ten years, but did you really care?
You were stuck, unable to crawl out of the crater until, eventually, he asked for his third drink. Showtime, you breathed in, the confidence hugging your entire body. “Just saying, but I could already sense this third drink once you walked in through the door,” You tried to joke.
He huffed through his nose, a hint of a smile on the corner of his lips. “Do I look that bad?” He asked, a playful tone in his voice. A lopsided grin found itself onto your face and you slightly leaned over to wipe the surface next to where his hand rested.
“The opposite, actually. You’re quite the handsome guy.” Oh, there it was. He didn’t seem repulsed, which could’ve been a good sign, except that he didn’t look like anything— his expression was unreadable.
He raised his glass up to his lips. “Yeah, well, don’t really feel like it right now,” He said before taking a swig of his drink. You picked up a wet empty glass and dried it with your towel, like the true bartender you were.
“Well, do you feel like talking about it?” His eyes darted up to you and he lifted a brow. “There’s obviously a reason why you’re sitting here right now, no?”
You waited for an answer, but he swallowed his entire drink before he set the dry cup on the bar. “Maybe another time, kid.” Ouch. Kid? Really? You thought this was over once you turned twenty-three. “But I gotta get going now.”
That was the first conversation you two shared, and you bit the inside of your cheek as you watched him leave, disappointed that it also could’ve been the last one. You should’ve learned by now, though: this wasn’t the first time you made a “friend”, hoped that they would drop by again in the future, only to never see their faces again. You took in his appearance one last time then, cherishing the fleeting buzz in your head. But you were lucky when two weeks later he entered through the same door again. Nonetheless, not lucky enough, since he arrived the only day your shift ended early.
“One whiskey served over ice, please.”
You didn’t realize he was there until you heard that scratchy voice, the one you thought you’d never have the pleasure of hearing again. Your head jerked up and you didn’t miss a beat before gladly serving him— there was no way you were leaving without interacting with the older man, regardless of how small and brief the action was. It was a Greek tragedy in your eyes: saying goodbye to the back of the head of the attractive man in his thirties. You jokingly (but not really) warned your coworker to not make a move on the man; and, of course, you asked him to update you the next day if he mentioned you even just once. The next day (or rather, night), the first thing you obviously did was pester your friend to spill all the juicy, if any, details.
“I don’t know, he didn’t really say anything. He so checked you out when you left, though. Like— okay, maybe not check you out, but he definitely stared at you for a few seconds.”
You deflated. Anyone else would’ve cheered, but all you needed to hear was the first part; your friend had the poor tendency of overanalyzing and exaggerating every small detail— you learned that when, after some customers had a lousy argument, you both recounted the event to your boss during your monthly coffee session. What had probably happened was that the man merely breathed in your direction and your coworker’s eyes jumped out of their sockets. You brushed away your discontent, though, reminding yourself of your principles: you never hooked up with customers, especially since your boss was adamant about that after an incident with another bartender, and you didn’t want to endure new job interviews for as long as you could.
But the rush made you want to have fun with this guy.
Another entire month went by; no sign of mystery guy, no whiskey served over ice. No drops of your stomach, until one evening you couldn’t believe your eyes when you saw that beautiful mess of a man, a scratch on his forehead you didn’t think much about since you’d seen much weirder things, sat in front of you. “Would you look at that! We meet once again,” He smirked. You placed your hand on your hip, biting your lip.
“Thought I’d never see you again. Tell me, do you want to try out something different tonight, or your boring, usual—”
“—whiskey served over ice. Yeah, please.”
Whiskey served over ice was quickly becoming your favorite order.
You didn’t exchange any other words— you were too engulfed into the breaking news playing on the flatscreen: a poor quality clip— something that still occurred even if it wasn’t 2005 anymore— of Spider-Man stopping a truck before it crashed into a hurt kid in the middle of the street. You grabbed the remote control and boosted the volume a bit, deciding you could perhaps multitask for a while. “So,” You started while maintaining your attention on the screen, catching his own. “You ever met Spider-Man?”
An odd question which made him snort as he turned his head to watch the screen. “No, not really. Wouldn’t want to, though, he’s kinda overrated.”
Your eyes went round, and you had to unstick your view from the TV to search for any sign of playfulness in the man’s face. He seemed dead serious. “Overrated? Full offense, but I can’t let you say that about Spidey, an actual superhero.”
He rolled his eyes, amused and defensively holding up one hand. “I’m just tired after hearing about him for the last twenty years. Can’t believe he’s not going around with a walking stick yet.”
You returned to your previous position, your forearms resting on the counter as you continued to observe a recap on a football game of the night before. “Yeah, I won’t argue against you on that. I remember watching him swing on TV back when I was seven-years-old. Big part of my childhood, the guy.”
He inclined closer to you, his brows drawn together. “What’s your age?”
“Twenty-nine.”
He let out an ‘oof’. You would’ve been insulted if it weren’t for the exaggeration in his tone. “You’re getting old. Soon you’ll be complaining about how much your back hurts and wishing for the sweet release of death.”
You chuckled, eyeing his appearance. “Ah, well, too bad because I already do that. How old are you? You’re acting like you’re sixty when in reality you’re probably just like forty, or something.”
“Eh, close,” He grinned, and then took a deep breath. “I’m thirty-seven.”
“And you’re calling me old?!” You exclaimed, earning a laugh from him. “You’re basically almost on your deathbed. Age doesn’t hold me back, though.” You winked jokingly and he bit his lip, his eyebrows raised.
“Is that so?”
“Yeah, you know— more experienced, sometimes wiser, sometimes more of a gentleman…” You mused, drawing patterns on the bar. You didn’t notice him giving you a once-over. Someone called for your attention, and you let out a disappointed sigh, pouting at him. “Gotta go! Duty calls.”
“Have fun,” He raised his drink, bowing his head. As you walked away, you allowed your face to pale with terror and you began to wonder if the air-conditioning suddenly malfunctioned, for you were too heated for your comfort. You took as much time as you could with the rest of the clients, too frightened to face the man after your shameless flirts, dreading the repercussions. But you were finishing the preparation of a mojito, wishing you could down it yourself, when he lifted his empty glass and whistled at you. You nervously glared at him, motioning for him to wait before you served the finished beverage to its rightful owner and you met him once again.
“Tell me,” You began as you poured the liquid in his cup, trying to change the subject and mask your trembling hands. “I’m tired of thinking of you as the whiskey man. What’s your name?”
He let out a short laugh, thanking you before he took ahold of his drink. “Peter. Peter… B… Parker,” He moved his head along to each word and you sang out an impressed ‘ooh’.
“Peter B. Parker. Catchy. Giving me some boy band vibes.”
“Boy band vibes?”
“Yeah, like, ‘pretty boy in a band who’s a total teenage heartthrob’ type of vibes. You definitely fit the description.” Goddammit, you did it again. Just this once, you wished, just this once shutting your mouth would make everything easier for you.
Peter, his face finally having a name, licked his lips after sipping the alcohol. “So you think I’m pretty?” He inquired, a crooked smile on his face. You were good at holding back the tingling that wanted to suffocate your cheeks, the way you wished you could with your words. You hummed, surveying him quickly.
"Well, I did say you were handsome last time, didn't I?"
"Yeah— yeah, I remember that," He squinted his eyes, pointing his finger at you. "And you're...”
“Y/N.”
“Well, Y/N…” He took his phone out from his back pocket and frowned down at it with concern. “Can you help me? There’s something wrong with my phone— it doesn’t have your number in it.”
Oh, my God.
You glanced down at his cracked screen and then back up at his face. Snorting so loudly it hurt your nose, your hand flew up to cover your mouth. “Oh, my God. I’m sorry, I’m just—” You pinched the bridge of your nose, wheezing. “I can’t believe you just did that. That was so cheesy, oh my God.”
“Are you gonna fix it or not, though?” He smirked, offering you his device. “‘Cause it’s a real problem.”
He got your number. After you returned his cell phone, you noticed his yet again empty glass, wondering how he downed it in just the time you were adding your phone number to his contacts. You grabbed it and poured more ice, seeing as the previous had already melted. “Since you successfully made me want to walk away from you and stroll around the place to try and heal myself after that awfully cheesy pickup line, this next round is on the house.” You declared as you opened the bottle of whiskey. He declined, emphasizing his refusal with the flutter of his hand.
“That’s not necessary.”
“Whatever, I’m gonna do it anyway,” You slid the alcoholic beverage towards him, and his eyes softened along with his entire face, too.
“Thanks.”
Your conversation continued the entire night. You talked non stop— so much that you might have forgotten about the existence of other customers. But it didn’t matter. Despite their annoyed expressions, it was worth it. You heard the story you had so desperately yearned for him to tell; he reminisced about his dead aunt and uncle— the lovely angels who raised him and the ones he looked up to the most. But your heart cried out when Peter sorrowfully stared into his whiskey, and you first heard the name. MJ. His ex-wife. The owner of his love for the longest time, the woman who crushed him a year ago. The one whose heart he broke, too, though, all because he was too terrified, too much of a wimp to take the next step, ‘not enough’, he said. You remained silent, realizing your flirtatious exchanges earlier were solely a way to muffle Mary Jane’s memory in his mind. Nevertheless, your hand reassuringly rubbed his shoulder, the action alone speaking the comfort he needed.
It wasn’t the last time it happened. After that, he began to show up at the bar more frequently, once a week. And whenever he did come, he left until your shift neared its end.
“Like, what type of father would I even be? Look at me!” Peter pointed at his head, stirring the whiskey with a finger of his other hand. “I’m a mess, I can’t even take care of myself— how could I take care of a child?! I just… I don’t have the time,” He sighed, laying his head atop the bar. You frowned as you prepared a second margarita for the mother of one of your classmates from high school, which was what initiated the conversation of parenthood and such in the first place.
You shrugged, aggressively rattling the shaker with your two hands. “I don’t know, maybe you’re underestimating yourself,” He peered up at you, doubt in his expression. “And you do have the time to come here every week, though,” You pointed out, wiggling your arms from how sore they were.
“Yeah, but you’re… this is different, this is…” He slurred, waving his hand. “Whatever. Work always ruins things for me. It has ever since I was a little tot.”
“Damn, what is your work?”
Peter began to gulp down his entire drink after your question and seconds later slammed it on the table with wide eyes, attempting to digest the liquor. He cleared his throat, rubbing his eyes. “It’s… it’s, uh, I-I work at the Daily Bugle.” You opened your mouth with astonishment, stopping in the midst of rubbing a lime on the rim of the glass.
“The Daily Bugle?” You asked incredulously. “That one newspaper with the dude who’s obsessed with Spider-Man? J-something-Jameson?”
“Yeah… yeah, that’s my boss.”
You grimaced, instantly comprehending his daily fatigue and he nodded, agreeing with you. “What do you do? Write?”
“Nah, I’m a photographer.”
“Ooh, so you’re a photographer? That’s hot,” Moments ago he’d been complaining about his marital issues yet there you were, calling Peter hot. You might have slipped the compliment right before you left to give the margarita to your ex-classmate’s mom in fear of his response, therefore missing the faint heat that overwhelmed his cheeks and ears.
“Is… it’s nothing, really,” He dismissed your words, being all humble and shit. You placed your elbows on the counter, coming closer to him.
“Could I ever see any of your pictures?”
He threw a block of ice into his mouth. “Mm, thure,” He said, his mouth full. Your mouth twitched in amusement, and you decided to sit down considering the night was particularly slow. Your boss lectured all the time that there was never time to sit down and there was always something to do; keeping that in mind, you still ignored the four dirty glasses, instead choosing to spend time paying attention to the man with ice in his mouth. “I’m boring, though— tell me more about yourself. There’s gotta be more to the attractive barista who works at the bar near my apartment.”
You were taken aback, both by the fact that he considered you were good-looking and that he was pushing to hear about you. “Me?” You blinked. He nodded, looking at you expectantly. You lowered your head, picking at the skin around your nails— damn past you for cursing you with the habit and, consequently, terrible nails as well. “This is… weird. I don’t really talk to customers about my life. They even tell us to not do that specifically.” You laughed.
“What? Why?”
“Well, because you don’t want to hear about me: my childhood and the drama in my life, I guess,” You said with an obvious look. He scrunched his brows together.
“But I do.”
You despised the way your heart missed a beat. “Alright, well… I don’t know, what do you want to hear about?”
“Were you born here? In New York?”
You shook your head. “Nah, I moved here after finishing college. I thought I was gonna be a successful artist and stuff.”
Peter gasped with wonder. “Artist?! Cool! What, what type of artist?”
“I paint,” He whispered an adorable ‘whoaa’ and your shoulders shook with laughter. “It’s really not that cool. I do paintings once in a while. Pays well and can help with the bills if someone buys them.”
“I’d buy many if I had the money.”
“Nah, I would paint you one for free,” You smirked, leaning closer to him.
“Oh, sweet— you can paint me naked. You know, like one of your french girls.” He hummed, a goofy grin breaking out on his face. You quirked a brow, giggling.
“That’d be interesting.”
“I know, I’d be a great muse. Tell me more, though, you got any friends? Family?”
You hesitantly nodded. “Yeah, except they’re all back home. The only people I’ve got here are at the bar, my boss basically adopted the few people who work here.”
“Wish my boss was like that,” He grumbled, grasping more ice. “Well, now you’re stuck with me too, though.”
You gripped your knee, your lips pressed together to retain the beam threatening to appear. “Is that so?” The ice he had shoved into his mouth was too big for him to speak without drooling all over his chin; so with his chipmunk cheeks, he moved his head up and down. “Is this us officially becoming friends?” You waggled your brows teasingly, your lips now stretching widely.
“I thought that happened the second you gave me a free round of drinks.”
Three more months passed by. You realized your nights weren’t a blur anymore. No— now they were Peter B. Parker, his weary brown eyes, and his whiskey served over ice. You couldn’t help the scrunch of your nose and your slight smile whenever someone else ordered whiskey, since, as ridiculous you knew it was, those words were Peter. You held yourself back each night you two shared from leaning over the bar and tasting the cold liquor in his tongue. You wondered if, perhaps, that’s what Peter Parker tasted like. But it didn’t matter how strongly you craved to find out; you couldn't be anything more than a friend to your customers, you constantly reminded yourself. Not that it even was a possibility with Peter, anyway— it was evident he still cared about Mary Jane. It was clear she lingered in the fog of his memory, despite how much he drank or how hard you attempted to take her place with every conversation. You tried to convince yourself that it was alright, and it wasn’t working, but you hoped someday it would.
It was a Saturday night— or more like the early hours of Sunday— when you went to joyfully take Peter’s order after he sat down, only to be met with an awful bruise on the bridge of his nose. You winced, unconsciously reaching out to touch his face, but drawing your hand back before he noticed. “Pete, what the fuck happened to your face?”
“That’s not a nice thing to say about someone.” He simply responded, evidently trying to disguise the swelling with his hand, but sighed after seeing your scowl. “Fine, it’s embarrassing. Like… really, really embarrassing—”
“I’m listening.”
He squirmed, his gaze moving to his right and his voice coming out high pitched as he searched for a way to explain himself. “I tripped.”
Something you’d learned throughout the past months of weekly meetings with Peter Parker was that the man was not subtle. Far from it. And this wasn’t the first time he arrived with a scratch or sort of bruise, which truly clutched at your stomach in the wrong way, but although he’d talk about anything— from what he ate for breakfast that day to confessing a pestering fear in his head, he never ever talked about how or why he got hurt. He always managed to steer away from the subject; the sneaky bastard, you’d think to yourself when minutes later you two were thoroughly discussing the best ways to eat an egg. You never budged, though, for you couldn’t bear to lose his trust or him getting mad at you; which hadn’t occurred yet, and you wished to keep it that way. You questioned your decision, however, as you grabbed the box of bandaids hiding under the counter (the bartenders there could frequently be quite clumsy), and grasped one with your fingers. You opened it, detaching the paper from it.
“It’s really nothing,” He continued insisting, trying to erase the creases between your eyebrows. “I just gave the ground a real nice smooch—” He stopped talking when you leaned over to touch his face, your hand cupping his cheek as you smoothed the plaster over his nose.
“I… what?”
“Sorry, it just looked really gross,” You lied, truthfully concerned about his well-being. “You couldn’t go around walking like that.”
“But I can go around walking with a…” He inspected his reflection on the cupboards, squinting to make out the pattern of the bandaid. “Spongebob bandaid on my face. And how is that supposed to heal a bruise?”
“I’m sorry—”
“No, it’s alright. I… I like Spongebob. One whiskey served over ice, though, please.”
You scoffed, picking up a glass from the cabinet. “I’ve held myself back from asking, but…” You shut your mouth as you continued preparing his drink, doubt winning its battle again. He tilted his head.
“But?”
“But… how come you’re always getting hurt in some way? It’s kind of concerning,” You laughed nervously, not wanting to reveal how much it truly worried you. He shrugged one shoulder.
“I guess I’m just really clumsy.”
“This isn’t clumsy, though,” You argued, your forehead furrowed. “This is… getting beat up type of stuff. Is that it? Do you get into street fights or something?”
“No! No, I, uh…” He hesitated, avoiding your gaze. “That’s not it.”
“Then what is it?”
Peter searched for words, his mouth ajar. He closed it and rolled his lips. “I want to tell you, I really do, but now is not the time. I promise I will in the future.”
You prepared to question him more, until a tune filled your ears. You raised your hands up to your head, your palms squeezing your temples as you gasped. Peter raised an eyebrow, entertained. “I fucking love this song,” You explained as ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ by Whitney Houston played on the TV. Peter sat still as he paid attention to the music, confusion glinting in his eyes until he recognized the melody and his body lit up.
“Wait, so do I—”
“Clock strikes upon the hour, and the sun begins to fade…” You shouted, your head jerked back. Peter put his fist against his mouth, embarrassed by your hilariously terrible singing, but at the same time holding himself back from joining you in your performance. “Still enough time to figure out how to chase my blues away!” You sang, pointing your finger at him. He muttered an ‘ohmygod’ under his breath, his face beet red.
“I’ve done enough ‘till now, it’s the light of day that shows me how!” You dramatically laid back on the counter, true singer-like style, holding an imaginary microphone up to your mouth. “And when the night falls, loneliness calls…” You turned your head to face Peter and booped his nose, an action which you would undeniably regret once the euphoria of hearing one of your favorite songs ended.
“Ah, fuck it…” He whispered, beaming at you and grabbing your fist to sing into the invisible mic as well. “Oh! I wanna dance with somebody! I wanna feel the heat with somebody!” He cried out, his eyes passionately closed and his hand pressed flat against his chest. You scream-laughed at him, holding your torso. However, you quickly rolled onto your stomach, your faces now in close proximity.
“Yeah! I wanna dance with somebody! With somebody who loves me!” You both sung into your clenched hand, incredibly out of tune. “Oh! I want to dance with somebody!”
“I wanna feel the heat with somebody...” A customer in the background yelled out. You two exploded with laughter, your head pressed against his cheek and Peter gripping your hand tight.
That night, you sang with somebody you loved.
The end of the year arrived too quickly, and you were disconnecting the plug of the Christmas lights adorning the windows of the bar as you wondered whether you should get Peter a present for the holidays or not. Some new sweatpants, you considered; they were his favorite piece of clothing, you had come to learn, and in the times that he wore a pair, you noticed it was always the same. But you also questioned if it would be bizarre to hand him a gift— you only saw each other at the bar, after all. There weren't any instances where he called you to meet up for lunch, or something similar; and once in a while, you hoped to hear your blaring ringtone and to answer your phone to him. That never happened, though; your relationship would never evolve from the occasional text throughout the week. To make matters worse, you hadn’t even seen him for three weeks, three days, and counting. And, my God, did it sadden you that you knew that. Every time you’d type a greeting along with a question about his whereabouts, you’d stare at the screen of your cell phone for far too long and eventually delete your words— the exact process repeating over and over again. Maybe he’s with his friends or remaining family, you concluded. Hanukkah did end yesterday, stop being so obsessive.
A knock on the door provoked a startled squeak out of you. You jerked your head, confused, because who in the world was knocking on the door at three o’clock in the morning? Your terror was fleeting, however, for behind the foggy glass existed Peter B. Parker’s guilty smile. You exhaled and headed to open the door to shelter him from the violent and raging winter wind outside. He barged in, the tip of his nose the color of raspberries, most likely a repercussion of his poor clothing coverage for the season. “Hey,” He greeted you, rubbing his hands together.
“Wow, I think you got here a little too late,” You teased, folding your arms across your chest. The bags under his eyes were particularly prominent that night, not that it surprised you in any shape or form. He leaned against the wall, resting the back of his head on the timber.
“Yeah, sorry about that,” He apologized and you shook your head. It was useless. You were aware that there was no chance you could be mad at him for finally visiting you; in fact, you were ridiculously elated to be seeing him at such late hours, in spite of your bed crying out for your company. “I guess I lost track of time.”
“What are you doing here, anyway? I haven’t seen you for three weeks and when you do show up, it’s at three A.M.”
“I don’t… know.” You quirked a brow, wondering if he’d had a few too many drinks. “I sort of just walked and my feet got me here.”
“Are you drunk? And did you get in a bar fight or something, because you’ve got a bruise forming under your jaw and it looks too animalistic to be a hickey,” You asked with a gesture of your hand toward his face, relieved the jealousy didn’t bleed through your voice if the latter turned out to be more than a mere speculation. The scarlet on his nose spread to his cheeks. “I hope not, because that would mean you cheated on me by going to another bar.”
He chuckled, rubbing a hand over his stubble. “Nah, I wouldn’t ever do that to you.” You walked up to him and patted his shoulder, congratulating him for his great response but also to move him away from the window to check if it was closed. “I’m just tired.”
“Long day?”
“Awfully long.”
You still didn’t get an answer to why he was out so late, but you didn’t have the energy to continue budging. “Yeah, same.” You whispered, lifting a chair to place it upside down on a table.
“Wanna talk about it?” You looked at him confused. “Your day?”
“I would, but, uh, I kinda have to close this place. Y'know, it’s the holidays, so we’re not open 24/7 because my boss likes spending time with her family,” You explained, hearing his understanding hums. “Everyone already left and I didn’t have anything to do, so I promised her I would do it for her.”
He moved to stand opposite to you and copied your actions of setting the chairs atop the table. “That’s not safe— you being here alone, I mean. I can help!” He offered, as if a random spike of energy flourished in him.
Your brows drew together. “Shouldn’t you go home?”
He paused in the midst of reversing a seat, the furniture cradled in his chest like a baby. “Yeah, but so should you. It won’t hurt to sacrifice one hour of sleep just to help a friend,” He smirked, shrugging.
You allowed him to give you a hand in arranging the place, not that you had much of a choice, anyway; he would’ve done it nonetheless despite your refusals. Thirty minutes later, you were standing outside, your body aching tremendously. Peter noticed your soreness and, before you could even react, he was lowering the roll-up gate. “I could’ve helped with that,” You mumbled as he wiped his hands on his sweatpants. “Don’t want you breaking your back, grandpa.”
He laughed, shoving his hands inside his jacket’s pockets. “I’m a cute grandpa, though, right?” He asked with a flirty smile. You rolled your eyes.
“Hm, yeah, a total gilf.”
“Gilf?”
“Yeah, you know, like a ‘dilf’ but instead of a dad it’s a grandpa.” You both giggled as you began to walk to who knows where, visible breaths leaving your mouths like small dragons puffing out smoke.
You stopped in your tracks, gripping the straps of your backpack tightly. “Oh snap, I forgot!” He turned around with a questioning brow. “My car broke down, so I have to take the subway back home.” You explained, nudging your head back at the green stairs heading down to the metro station. He tilted his head, frowning.
“Y/N, it’s four in the morning. I don’t think going to the subway this late is such a smart idea.”
You rocked on your heels. “Yeah, but… how else am I gonna get home? You want me to sleep in the bar?”
His gaze shifted as he pondered, grunting. “Do you, uh… do you want to go to my place?”
Your stomach clenched, your heart starting a run when you heard his suggestion. He doesn’t mean it that way, you idiot,  you scolded yourself. Yet you wished he did. “...Your place?”
“Yeah, it’s just a few blocks away from here, like a ten-minute walk.” There was a prolonged silence as you entered deep in thought, making him panic and stutter. “T-that’s if you want to, though. Don’t want you to feel pressured—”
“No, Pete, I…” You stopped him, grinning. “I mean, you sure?”
“Yeah,” He clapped his hands and held them together up to his chest. “Why not?”
“I guess I’ll take you up on that offer.”
“Cool! Uh, cool.. just… c’mon,” He pointed his thumb over his shoulder and you began your trek to his apartment, your shoes thudding lightly against the concrete of the sidewalk, wet due to the rain two hours ago.
“Thanks…” You started, wiggling your fingers, numb from the bitter cold, but to wake yourself up as well. “I actually am sort of terrified of taking the train, so I’m glad you offered. I’ll sleep on the couch, don’t worry—”
“What? No! No, I’ll take the couch, you’re the guest.”
“No, no, no, I insist—”
“Y/N.” You looked up at him, a teasing smile on his face. “You keep the bed. Plus, the change of place will be nice.” You groaned, your eyes closed.
“You’re such a great dude: offering me to sleep at your place so I don’t get mugged and shit, and here I am, stealing your probably comfy bed.” You then moaned, your eyes going blank. “Bed. God, just thinking about sleeping really turns me on right now.”
He huffed softly, bumping into your side. “What… what’s happened, though? We haven’t seen each other for a hot minute.”
You looked heavenward, your mouth ajar as you tried to recall your previous three weeks. “Mm, well, I honestly can’t even remember if I had breakfast or not— oh!” You exclaimed rather sleepily. “Well, this pretty boy working at a Taco Bell I went to asked me out on a date.”
“Oh?” He scrunched his brows together and you hummed. “And what did you say?”
“No.”
“No?! Why not?”
“I just…” Your eyes darted up to his curious ones, your face softening after inspecting him for a while, but not long enough to embarrass yourself. “I don’t know. Wasn’t feeling him, y’know?” He nodded comprehensively. “What ‘bout you?”
His entire mood shifted. His shoulders slumped, and he nibbled on his bottom lip, his jaw tightened. “I… I saw MJ today.” Your heart broke.
“Oh.”
“Yeah.”
“Wh-what, like, you two met somewhere?”
“No, more like ‘saw her coming out of the coffee shop while crossing the street and then a pedestrian yelled at me because I was standing in the way’.” He grumbled. You didn’t know what got in you, but you grabbed his hand and squeezed it. He glanced down at your linked hands and then up at you. That’s when you instantly let go, your pinkies still connected for a bit until completely detaching. You were too busy ogling the ground to see his fingers searching for yours.
“You’ll be alright one day,” You cleared your throat, a bashful smile on your face. “You’ll figure this out.”
He prevented you from continuing with your walk with a hand on your shoulder. You hesitantly turned your body to face him, gulping. Oh, no— you worried, your heart picking up its pace again— did the hand holding make him uncomfortable? Is he now gonna question me? Why am I such a damn idiot? But then you saw his dilated pupils, and your mouth went dry. “I…” He began.
“You… okay?” You questioned when his stare lingered on you. He blinked, his arm dropping by his side as he coughed.
“Yeah, yeah. Sorry, that was weird. I’m just—”
“—tired.” You finished for him and he scoffed, giving you a half-smile.
“Wow, you know me so well,” He joked, and scratched the back of his neck, pointing at the building you two stood in front of. “Uh, this is where I live.”
“Oh!” You spun around, studying the apartment complex. It appeared simple: not too big or small, modest-looking. “That was faster than I expected.”
“Yeah…” He muttered as he climbed up the stairs, holding the door open for you when he reached the top.
The man’s apartment was tiny, somewhat too messy, you decided; there was an empty pizza box on his bed, and he awkwardly dumped it in the trash can when you two walked in, apologizing for the mess. You sat on his bed and he stood at your feet, stroking his neck. "Do you want some clothes? I can give you a shirt or some—” You stopped him when he turned to go to his dresser, gently pulling his arm. “What?” You continued to wordlessly tug on his sleeve until he sat next to you, sighing deeply. Slowly, you leaned backwards until your back bounced on his mattress. Peter’s confused by your actions, but you simply patted the area behind him. He got the message and lied down on the rumpled sheets.
You looked at each other, a few inches apart, yet for some odd reason, you felt closer to him. Perhaps you could blame the different location, or the way in which your silent gazes stayed on each other. Somehow, you were both alright with it. No discomfort took ahold of either of you as you remained like that for a while, no words or sounds other than the city outside, both later with your eyes closed. To your embarrassment, you were on the brink of dozing off, but you couldn’t help it; you drowned in tranquility, and the exhaustion of your body cooperated— it was surprising you hadn’t fallen asleep yet. You could hear Peter’s steady breathing, and his voice brought you back to consciousness when he spoke. “Y/N?” It was soft, softer than your pillows back at home. Softer than your lonesome bed. You acknowledged him with a mumble, opening one eyelid. His eyes were almost shut, but you could still see the glimmer in his dark eyes. His whiskey eyes. “You’re really nice.”
Your eyes sealed closed again. “You’re really nice too, Pete.”
“No, but…” His sentence died out and he did not continue for a long period. You believed he had fallen into a slumber until he talked again. “You’re really nice. Like that hot chocolate I had in the morning while I was freezing type of nice.”
“I… I don’t know if it’s because I’m about to pass out, but I don’t get it.” When you blinked your eyes as wide as you could, he was closer than before. Closer than ever. You took the chance to discover, note every part of his face more closely, every freckle, every lash, his growing stubble. Everything.
“What I mean is that… you really bring warmth to my life, Y/N. Not to sound too cheesy like I usually do, or anything. But everything’s a mess and you’re there, and I’m glad about that.”
“You’re just tired.”
“Yes, but a drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts.”
“You’re not drunk.”
“There’s really no difference.”
You could now feel his breath on your face. It was as if with every flicker of your eyelids, he had managed to inch nearer to your body. “Pete…”
“Y/N…” Your lips were roughly touching. You felt his arm slip around your waist, his fingers ghosting over your prickling back.
“We can’t do this.” You said, regardless of your hand cradling his neck. Your foreheads were now touching.
“Why not?”
“Because…” You tried to claim that he was your customer, but you truly did not care about it anymore, and you never did. “What about Mary Jane?”
He hesitated for a moment. “What about Mary Jane?”
“You still want her back.” You breathed out, your body quivering as his eyelashes tickled your cheeks.
“I can forget about her just tonight.”
You kissed. Your lips remained interlocked for a few moments, the both of you too tired to move them. It was like sixth-graders kissing for the first time— a lingering peck on the lips. But an energy sparked within you, and you moved your lips. Soon, you were on top of his body, your shirt almost completely off except for one of your arms still inside one sleeve, your fingers desperately tangled in his greying hair, his crooked nose bumping with yours. He didn’t taste like whiskey or ice, but he did taste like a year of laughing with each other in the bar, and him not noticing as you slowly fell for him.

Tiger Misanthropic (Part 2)
(Part 1: https://loveaurapearl.tumblr.com/post/190464582395/tiger-misanthropic-part-1 )
(Warning: Self-harm, violence, and mental break down in this comic.)
Tiger’s Eye entered Fish Stew Pizza and saw Kiki delivering a pizza to Amethyst, who was talking to Big Spike. “And then, boom! The Cactus creature exited our house and broke the front wall. Man, that was a crazy day,” Amethyst said to the Crab-like uncorrupted gem. Big Spike nodded. It seemed like the two hadn’t noticed the fusion yet. They froze up in tension. “Yeah. That does sound crazy.” Big Spike said with a softer voice than what Steven was expecting. Amethyst nodded as Kiki dropped off their pizza. “Yeah, but that’s not the worst part. It was what Steven said about the creature. You know those awful and weirdly personal insults Cactus Steven was saying to us and Steven, well, it turns out, it was just repeating what Steven was saying. Those were Steven’s thoughts and… Steven wasn’t nice to Cactus Steven until he realized what was going on. I’m… I’m worried about my little man. I think he’s bottling up his emotions, which is like, really weird since he kept saying to me and the other gems that bottling up the pain inside is really bad, and yet he’s doing it to himself. I… I just wished he would talk to us about what’s going on instead of pretending everything’s fine. I don’t want him to hurt himself. Also, it’s super frustrating that he’s mad at me for acting mature! HE was the one who praised for being like this and said I was the most mature one out of the Crystal Gems. I thought he liked me being mature and not pushing him to be like his mom or like the diamonds.” Amethyst said, surprising Tiger’s Eye.
The fusion gritted their teeth in anger, but before they could say anything, Kiki popped into the conversation. “Maybe he’s just jealous of you. I would too if I had to be siblings with you. I mean, your GHEM project worked really well while his attempt to add to it just burned to the ground… literally, there was a Ruby on fire, so his plan burned down in front of him. I heard Little Larimar is happy in Funland and that was… kind of Steven’s idea, but all the other jobs were a failure. That would bring down one’s confidence.” Kiki said as she tried to explain it from Steven’s point of view. Tiger’s Eye felt embarrassed, but they also wanted to laugh at the failure. Amethyst sighed. “Yeah, but it was Steven who made the mess. The program was running fine, but he suddenly wanted to get his hands all over it. Even HE doesn’t know why he wanted to ‘fix’ my program. I… I just wish he would talk to us so we can help figure this and his future out.” Amethyst said in a sad tone. Guilt filled Tiger’s mind as they looked at the scene. “Maybe Steven acted that way because he’s a Diamond. They were made to be rulers. Perhaps his programming couldn’t let go of that, even if it’s for something as small as a mentorship. He became the leader of the Crystal gems, he was running little Homeworld for a long time, and his diamond is technically on top of the new Diamond Authority Symbol. It kind of fits.” Big Spike said, hoping what they said made sense. Tiger’s eye looked at Steven’s gem and then held their stomach.
Amethyst raspberried the idea. “What? No way. Big Spike, I love ya, but that’s kinda stretching it. I mean, it kind of fits, but it also doesn’t. Steven isn’t like the Diamonds. Maybe he has control issues, but other than that, he’s nothing like them. He’s sweet, and caring, and kind, and cares about his friends and family. While other Diamonds are getting better at interacting with other gems and organic life, they still have a LONG way to go before anyone can trust them. So, don’t worry about it.” Amethyst said. Her words helped cheer Tiger’s Eye up, causing them to let go of their stomach area. Big Spike chuckled. “Yeah. That is true. You know him better than anyone else, you would know that.” Big said. Amethyst agreed. “Anyway, I should be helping out the customer who came in. They’re probably getting impatient with me talking to you guys.” Kiki said. The two gems agreed, and Kiki turned towards the fusion. “Sorry about that. Just catching up with my one of favorite customers and one of our new employees. Anyway, how… wow… Steven is that you fused with someone!?” Kiki blurted out, catching the two gems and the other people in the restaurant's attention. “Wow… Steven, YOU FUSED WITH JASPER!?” Amethyst yelled as she got out of her chair and rushed over to the fusion. Tiger’s Eye chuckled nervously. “Y-yep. I sure did. We…Steven just wanted to show Jasper what it was like to be in a fusion that doesn’t hate her guts or was a corrupted monster.” Tiger said although they were uncomfortable.
“Wow, that’s super neat. What’s the Fusion’s name and pronouns. After learning Rainbow 2.0 used male pronouns, we got to make sure we don’t misgender you.” Kiki asked as she got out her phone and took a picture of the fusion. Tiger rubbed the back of their head in embarrassment. “Well, it’s Tiger’s Eye. We use they/them, she/her pronouns. We already learned what our fused weapon would look like thanks to Ronaldo and Peedee and Steven already showed Jasper what’s it like to eat thanks to some fry bits, but we’re still hungry. We were hoping to have a Garden salad here and a glass of water.” Tiger’s Eye said. Kiki nodded. “One salad coming up.” She said then went back into the kitchen. “Yo, Tiger’s Eye, why don’t you sit with us?” Big Spike offered. Tiger’s eye looked around, then shrugged. “Whatever.” She said as she and Amethyst took a seat. “So… how much about our conversation did you hear?” Amethyst asked although she looked a bit ashamed.
“Around when you mentioned Cactus Steven breaking out of my… Steven’s house. So… that’s how you feel about me… I mean, Steven.” Tiger stated kind of coldly. Amethyst groaned. “Sorry about that man, but it’s the truth. You’ve been kind of acting strange. Although, was what Kiki said true and you’re jealous of me?” Amethyst questioned, kind of flirty at the end. Tiger’s Eye blushed in embarrassment. “W-what? Of course not. I’m not jealous of you. I… I just don’t know why I said that stuff about you and the other gems to Cactus Steven. I…We’re fine.” Tiger said as to try and change the conversation. Amethyst sighed then looked at the pizza, which was a mess of mushrooms, pepperoni, and a big fish. “So, Bismuth told us that you went to talk to someone about how you feel. Turns out it was Jasper. Were you able to figure out both your feelings? Do… you like me, Sis?” Amethyst asked, hoping to talk to Jasper. Tiger looked at her and sighed. “We don’t know. We feel better now, but we still don’t understand our feelings, earth, or why Steven likes weird gems like us. Our head and heart are still just… jumbled. I don’t even know why you even want to accept Jasper as your Sis.” The fusion asked, unsure about everything.
“Well, Jasper and Steven fused into you, I thought, maybe Steven did get to her. Maybe she stopped being such a jerk and wants to improve. Maybe, she tolerates me now. I did offer my hand to get closer to Jasper when she uncorrupted. I don’t WANT to hate or even dislike Jasper, but it’s kind of hard not to dislike her when she’s being so stubborn. Man… saying my feelings like this is so weird, especially since I know Jasper is here, she’s just part of something much bigger.” Amethyst said, feeling really awkward. Big Spike agreed, she felt awkward as well. Tiger held themselves and thought about how the last few hours. “Honestly, let’s just wait until we have a better understanding of our feelings and about this planet before we say anything definitive,” Tiger stated. Amethyst and Big Spike agreed, saying that this was fair. Soon Kiki came out of the kitchen with a plate of lettuce, tomato, zucchini, and garlic with ranch sauce and a glass of water. “One Garden Salad, ready to eat and here’s your drink.” She said then placed the plate and glass on the table. The fusion looked at the food and felt a deep sense of annoyance at the food. “That’s what a salad is!? It’s just those green earthlings I pluck out of the ground! If you were that hungry, we didn’t eat some of those things instead of going in here. Ugh… Jasper, I told you, that was grass. And no, this is not the same as grass. I’ve tried grass with Peanut butter and let me tell you that this is WAY more enjoyable than grass. Ugh… I why should I care about their names. It’s not like it even matters. Besides, why can’t I just eat some of whatever Amethyst and Big Spike are eating. Because I’m a vegetarian. I don’t eat meat, and only sometimes do I eat fish. Now stop fighting with me and let’s just eat.” Tiger argued with themselves, their voice shifting to show which one was in charge. The fusion reached for a fork, but their dominant hand suddenly stopped.
“Huh?” They let out, before getting angry, “Why should I care about this, veg… whatever thing you talk about? Why are you limiting what you eat to these green earthlings? Because I like them, I don’t want to hurt any more animals by eating meat, and I can get the nutrients I need without needing to eat meat. Then how come we have memories of you eating this stuff before? Hey! Don’t do that! These are my personal memories! Well, you should have blocked them off more securely because I can still see them! So, what changed!? Why you do suddenly want to be like this? What? Because I realized that I could change. I realized that since I’m an adult, I don’t need to worry about what I can and cannot eat if I get the proper nutrients. Oh, really, then how come it feels like you’re not telling me the truth.” Tiger argued with themselves, or rather Jasper was interrogating Steven. Everyone looks at them in confusion and curiosity. “Steven, are you okay?” Big Spike wondered. Amethyst was more direct. “Jasper, if Steven wants to eat Vegetables, let him do so. It shouldn’t matter why he changed his diet. Why do you care so much?” She asked, annoyed at the other side of the fusion.
“Because I will not let rest until this boy confesses his feelings! He’s been pushing me to talk about me, about how I feel, about how I should change and fit in with his society, and stuff like that! But then he breaks down, crying at my feet about these feelings he’s been hiding and now, now he’s hiding them again! I will not let him manipulate me into forgetting this pain! I will not rest until he stops acting like a hypocrite. It’s not logical… it… doesn’t make any sense.” The fusion said, shifting her voice to sound more like Jasper but suddenly her voice changed to one that was soft, cold, and shift. It didn’t sound like the voice was from Steven or Jasper, and Amethyst and Big Spike didn’t know who Tiger’s Eye really was, so they didn’t know if this was Tiger’s Eye personality coming out. Amethyst put a hand on their arm. “Hey, it’s going to be alright. Steven, if Jasper and Tiger’s Eye care about this much, you should tell them.” Amethyst said in a caring tone. The fusion sighed and looked at their plate. “Alright… I’ll tell you. The reason I became a Vegetarian is all that stuff I said before, but… it’s also because this is the ONE thing, I know I can control, and not mess things up. My life has suddenly spiraled out of control, and I don’t know how or why. I don’t know how to deal with this or how to make things right, so… I decided that I needed something to help balance out these feelings. That’s when I made a realization and decided to become a vegetarian. I’ve been kind of hiding my own feelings from myself because I didn’t want to admit I’ve lost control. Especially in front of my family and you Jasper.” Tiger’s eye said, Steven’s personality shining through.
The fusion laughed, although it was a sorrowful laugh that made people uncomfortable. “So that’s why. You truly are something, Universe. Alright, if it makes you feel better, we’ll eat this salad. I just wanted you to confess these feelings, that’s all. …Really? Yeah.” Tiger’s eye talked to herself as they grabbed the fork. Big spike and Amethyst smiled. “So, you feel better?” Big Spike asked. Tiger takes a few bites of their food and then drinks some water. They thought about it for a few seconds and nodded. “Yeah. I do. Man, it feels great having that load off our chest.” Tiger’s Eye stated. Amethyst nodded and the group began eating their food.
The purple gem began to think of something then looked at the fusion’s tail. “Oh yeah, I am thinking about this, but since we had more things to talk about, I didn’t have the time to ask this, but… I was wondering why you had a tail. I mean, I get everything else about your form since Jasper had those bits of corruption on her, but I wasn’t expecting you two to have a tail, let alone one like that.” Amethyst said as before she finished eating some of her pizza. Tiger takes a drink of water. “Honestly, we have no idea why we have this other than this could relate to a possible form that Steven would have if he somehow became corrupted. But obviously, that can’t happen since… well… how are we supposed to heal ourselves if we’re corrupted? I mean, Steven’s gem is one of the main ingredients in turning corrupted gems back to normal. If he gets corrupted… I don’t know what we would do… But… but we are not corrupted, this is just hypothetical.” Tiger said, a bit nervous on the subject. Amethyst nodded. “Yeah, that is a pickle. But that won’t happen since the diamonds are on our side, so another corruption wave is never going to happen. Speaking of corruption, we’re almost a third of the way done healing the corrupted gems, Big Spike! Isn’t that awesome!” The purple gem creature said. The crab-like gem smiled. “Yeah! I can’t wait for everyone to be healed!” She said with excitement. Tiger’s eye agreed although they did feel a bit… lonely. The group soon finished up their meal. “Welp, I should get back to work.” Big Spike said then got up, heading back to the kitchen. “Bye!” The purple and golden-brown gems said.
The two soon left the restaurant and take a seat at Beach City’s resident bench. “So, how’s it like being you, Tiger’s Eye?” Amethyst asked as they lazed about. Tiger looked up at the sky and sighed. “Honestly, it’s… stressful. It feels like every minute or so, Jasper and Steven are in an argument, crying, or having a meltdown. We haven’t had a good chance to really find ourselves. It… honestly kind of sucks and people keep staring at us. We… I don’t want to be seen at just the two of them arguing.” Tiger said, feeling ashamed they had to say that. Amethyst put a hand on their shoulder. “You shouldn’t need to do that. Steven, Jasper, it’s alright for Tiger’s Eye to say what they want to say and to use I and myself pronouns to refer to themselves. They shouldn’t feel pressured not to have their own voice. Also, try and ease up on the inner fighting. Tiger is suffering because of you two, and I don’t want them to feel like they can’t handle being together.” Amethyst said. This caught Tiger’s attention. They were not expecting her to say that. They take in a deep breath. “Yeah… yeah. I guess Steven forgot to tell me that. And Jasper… the only fusion she knows properly is Malachite, so she’s not used to using these pronouns in a fusion when she’s not in charge… Maybe Steven does have control issues.” Tiger said, feeling not so great about themselves. Amethyst ruffled their hair. “Hey, man, it’s going to be okay. Now that you confessed the problem, you can be whoever YOU, Tiger’s Eye want to be. So… what do YOU want?” Amethyst asked. Tiger’s Eye let out a sigh of relief.
“Well, I haven’t thought about it yet. I don’t know what I want exactly. Oh! But we are going to the wrestling match tonight at 8! It’s going to be great! Wanna be Purple Puma like old times? We could tag team!” Tiger asked Steven’s friend with excitement. Amethyst looked at the fusion with disappointed eyes. “Aw man, I would love to, but I gotta go help the Crystal gems rebuild the house. Maybe some other time. Welp, I gotta get going before Pearl notices I’m gone. I’ll tell everyone about the match, maybe if we finish up early, we can at least watch you fight. Oh, and remember, you can’t say as Tiger’s Eye for too long, otherwise bad things will happen.” Amethyst said as she got up. Tiger blinked and looked down. “Oh… okay. See you later.” Tiger said. Amethyst ruffled their hair. “Don’t worry about it, champ. You’re going to do great. Welp, see ya!” Amethyst said, then walked away. Tiger sighed and then looked at Steven’s phone, it was around 3 o clock. It would a good while before the event would start.
The area around them became darker. “Maybe… maybe we should unfuse and just forget about the match. Wait… what? It was your stupid idea to go and now you don’t want to do it anymore because that twerp refused to go with you. But we’re hurting Tiger’s Eye. They don’t know who they are or what they want. We keep arguing with each other like Malachite and I’m getting sick of it! I… I don’t want anyone to suffer because of me. Then maybe you should back off then! You’ve been pushing down Your ideals onto us and not letting both of us do what we want! Not to mention, you’re the one who reached out to me! You said you wanted to fuse and release this rage inside us, but you keep trying to force us to deal with your feelings. Maybe this was just a ruse to manipulate me into obeying you! What? I… Ugh! ENOUGH!” Tiger yelled at each other. Tiger took in a deep breath and look at the phone. “Steven, Jasper… I’m tired of this. I’m tired of dealing with your problems. Of feeling this way. Of us fighting. I don’t want to fight you… I want to fight other people. So, what if people think we’re rude? So, what if someone thinks we’re a ‘snerson’ or ‘corrupting’, we’re not? We’re fine, we’re together, we’re Tiger’s eye. I want to enjoy these human delights. I want to go to this arcade and play video games. I want to go to this arena and fight people. So please, let me full fill what you want. That way, maybe we can get along,” Tiger’s eye said as she starched her right arm, she could feel a pain coming from that area as she gripped harder. Tears flowed her eyes as she lets go of her arm. The pain disappeared and she lets out a sigh of relief.
“Yeah… you’re right. I… I do want to fight in the arena. I do want to be Tiger’s Eye. I… I was just upset that I couldn’t be with Amethyst since… it was her that got me into wrestling. I used to have so much fun as Tiger Millionaire in the ring to help Amethyst feel better. When she gave up her title, I gave up on wrestling for a while. I tried to get back into the ring myself, so I changed Millionaire into Tiger Philanthropist. However, I became so worried about pleasing people, I lost sight of why I loved to wrestle, and people didn’t like me anymore. They… they thought I wasn’t being true to myself. And… I gave up on wrestling until now. And… ugh… I guess I have been too pushy. I haven’t been allowing myself to enjoy the earth. I’ve been keeping the brat in line so he wouldn’t embarrass me, that I haven’t let myself do what I want, which is to fight!” Tiger said, their voice switching between the higher voice, lower voice, and regular voice. The fusion chuckled and put the phone away. “Yeah… Well, since we have time before the match, I want to play in the arcade place. I know just the game to play.” They said then got off the bench.
They soon went over to Funland’s arcade and through a montage, showed the fusion playing various video games, Whackerman, and hitting the ‘hit me’ mannequin. They grab all the tickets they had gathered over their time and walked over to the counter. “Ah, so you’re the fusion of Steven and this Jasper gem. I’m just glad you didn’t destroy my machines. I don’t want to ban you, too.” Mr. Smiley said as he grabbed the tickets. Tiger’s Eye chuckled awkwardly and then smirked. “Well, that’s because of us… I am entering the wrestling ring tonight. Gotta save all my strength for then.” They said with confidence. Mr. Smiley smiled widely. “Ooooh, a contender. It’s been a long while since I last someone like Steven enter the ring. But you’re not the only gem entering the ring tonight. I got two quartz gems already talking to me about tonight. It’ll be interesting seeing you enter the ring, just remember, don’t break anyone’s bones or gems. I don’t want to get a lawsuit. Also, to have fun but mostly just don’t break anyone’s bones or gems.” He said, keeping his smile even when they could see he was sweating out of fear. Tiger nodded. “Anyway, was there anything here that you wanted in exchange for these tickets?” Mr. Smiley asked. The fusion looked at the collection of items available. Suddenly they noticed a black cat mask. “That one.” She said, but it was cold and stiff again. “Um… sure.” Smiley said then grabbed the item. He gives it to them. “You still have, oh, 100 tickets left. Is there anything else you want?” He asked. The fusion looked at the lower shelf and then shocked its head. “No.” They said, but it was in the stiff voice again.
“Um… okay. I’ll just keep these tickets for now. See you in the ring!” Mr. Smiley said. The fusion nodded and then grabbed the mask and exited the area. Tiger put the mask into Steven’s coat pocket and looked at their phone. It was almost 7 o’clock. “I should be on my way to the building… Hey Tiger, are we okay?” Tiger said, stopping herself. Tiger blinked and shocked her head. “Um… yes. Why do you ask… um… me? Well, because we were kind became kind of cold to Mr. Smiley. Yeah… I… I guess my head is becoming a bit fuzzy for staying in this fusion for so long… do you want unfuse, even for a little? Do you… no… I... I don’t want to unfuse. But I’m saying this so if you want unfuse, we can.” Tiger talked to themselves, then chuckled, “No. I’m doing fine. I… We just need to wait a bit more. Once the wrestling match or whatever is over, then we can unfuse. Yeah… yeah. It’s just… so nice being me. No more Steven complaining about his life, no more Jasper butting into every conversation even if it’s unwarranted. I’m just… me.” Tiger said to themselves, “And soon, the world will see what I am like.”
(Later, at the abandoned warehouse.)
Tiger’s Eye smiled as they put on the mask they bought. It was like Tiger Millionaire’s mask, but it was black with a pink nose. They put their hair into a small ponytail, similar to how Amethyst used to do it. And with a confident stature, entered the building. There was a huge scene surrounding the ring. There wasn’t anyone they recognized so far, but there were a lot of people. Tiger soon noticed Peedee and Ronaldo standing near the ring. They cheer as one guy, who was dressed as a waiter, was knocked out by another man who was dressed as a construction worker. “Hey, Peedee, Ronaldo, I’m here,” Tiger said as they approached the two. The two brothers turned around. “Ah, Tiger’s Eye, there you are. How are you? Did you find yourself?” Peedee asked. Tiger smirked. “Yes, we have. And now, I can say I’m Tiger’s Eye. Anyway, I’m gonna get registered to fight.” Tiger said. Ronaldo and Peedee nodded. Tiger went up to Mr. Smiley. The man noticed them and smiled. “Ah, a ‘new’ challenger. Are you ready to enter the ring?” He asked. Tiger chuckled. “I was born ready.” They said as they signed their name onto the sheet. “Okay, now go get them,” Mr. Smiley said. Tiger jumped onto the stage. “Alright! Let’s give it up to our new Challenger! Before the match starts, why don’t you introduce us to yourself, mystery challenger?” Mr. Smiley said. Tiger’s Eye stood proudly as they looked upon the ground. They saw two more familiar faces in the crowd, Big Spike and Kiki.
“Hello, earthlings, I’m Tiger Misanthropic. I was just a poor little snake, born alone and on the streets. Tiger Philanthropist adopted me with his wife Mrs. Sea Dragon, with Tiger Philanthropist gave me the Tiger title. He thought he could raise me to be a good, kind lady, but… times went hard when nobody began buying Tiger Philanthropist items. Father and mother began arguing over and over and over. About humans, about the world, about all the horrible things in life… now I see that humans aren’t worth it. All I ever do is give and give. I give to the gems, I give to the humans, and what’s my reward? Emptiness? I give everyone my hard work, to be what I was assigned to be, and they shove my feelings aside so they can live in this new world without me. They abandon my father, they force my mother to bicker and squabble with him, and I… I have no place in their world. Nobody wants me. Nobody cares about me… DO YOU KNOW WHAT!? Why should I CARE ABOUT YOU!? I’m going to do what I WANT AND I WANT TO FIGHT! I WILL WIN THIS BELT AND RESTORE THE HONOR OF TIGER PHILANTHROPIST! SO, LET’S GET THIS EVENT ROLLING!” Tiger’s Eye yelled. The crowd cheered, thinking what Tiger said was just some made up back story. “Such a shame that Tiger Philanthropist has gone down that road, but if we see get to see their daughter in a cool fight, then I guess it was worth it,” Kiki said to Big Spike. Big Spike shrugged. “I have no idea, what they’re referencing.” She said.
The bell rings and the two opponents looked against each other. The construction worker ran back and tried to use the ropes to bounce into his opponent but the fusion dodges the attack and grabs the guy by the feet and slams him to the ground. The man gets up and rushed towards the fusion. Tiger’s Eye smirked as the man grabbed their tail. They swiftly swung the tail to the left, the sudden movement throwing the man into the middle of the ring. Tiger quickly punches him in the face, knocking him out. The next few rounds were just as quick and easy. Tiger’s Eye roared in rage as the coward booed them. The fusion held their head. The world was starting to become darker. “I… I can handle this. They don’t matter. I matter. I’m going to win this. I’m going to be happy.” They told themselves. They soon had another four rounds of humans, the fights ending as easy as the previous humans. The crowd became angrier. “Boo! You stink Tiger whatever! These fights are way too easy for you!” Ronaldo yelled. Peedee sighed. “Yeah, it’s just like when Purple Puma was on stage,” Peedee said. Tiger’s Eye began shaking. “I’m… I’m almost to the end. I… I’m almost towards the end, and I still feel empty. I… I need a challenge. I need someone strong enough to battle me! So, who’s left!? Who’s willing to face me!?” Tiger’s eye yelled, their anger building up more and more. Soon Zebra Jasper and Ocean Jasper jumped onto the stage. “That’ll be us!” Ocean Jasper said. Tiger’s Eye then remembered the Ocean Jasper was the one who Jasper fused with to become corrupted. Their breath quickened as the painful scene replayed in their head. “Oh, it’s our tag-team duo for the night, the Jaspers! Let’s see if they can win this round and retrieve their prize.” Mr. Smiley said, however, that didn’t stop the nightmare going on in Tiger’s head.
“Hey, are you okay? Cause, if you’re not, we’re going to kick your butt into next week!” Zebra Jasper yelled, at first worried, but it soon turned into a competitive banter. Tiger’s Eye snapped out of the flashback and growled. Ocean spin dashes towards Tiger while Zebra used the ropes to have a buildup. Tiger spin dashes her way out the spin dash as Zebra bounced towards Tiger. Tiger is knocked out of the spin dash and laughs. She then gets up and began to punch at Zebra. The Jasper dodged the first few blows, but then Tiger surprised her by using her tail to sweep her legs. Tiger was about to punch Zebra, when she felt someone grab her tail. It was Ocean Jasper. Tiger roared and swings her body, throwing Ocean into ropes. Tiger turned towards Zebra, but she had moved behind the fusion and grabbed their back. The fusion grunted as they struggled to get out of the hold. “Now’s your chance, Ocean!” Zebra yelled. Ocean Jasper got up and rushed towards the two with a fist ready to punch. Thinking quickly, Tiger’s Eye bites into Zebra’s arm, causing her to flinch enough to lose enough control for Tiger to swing Zebra over her shoulders and into Ocean Jasper. They grunt as they hit each other. Tiger’s Eye laughed. “Oh, could this be the end of the Jaspers?” Mr. Smiley asked. But in that brief moment of vulnerability, the two Jaspers got up and punched Tiger in the chest at the same time! The fusion flew back and fell to the ground. They clutched their chest and coughed. The two Jaspers smiled and high fived themselves as the crowd cheered. “One, two, three.” Mr. Smiley began to count as Tiger struggled to get up. “No. I… I can’t lose… I… won’t lose. I’m better than them… I’M BETTER THAN EVERYONE!” Tiger yelled, then got back up. Mr. Smiley stopped the count at seven. “Tiger Misanthropy’s up! She’s back up, guys.” Mr. Smiley announced causing the crowd to boo. The Jaspers got ready as Tiger’s Eye rushed towards them. Suddenly Tiger rushed to the left of the Jasper and pushed herself against the ropes. Before the Jaspers could react, Tiger flung themselves into the Jaspers, hitting them in the jaw. The fusion slid as they stopped themselves from going any further than they needed.
The two Jaspers fell to the ground. Tiger’s Eye laughed as she walked over to them, but it was deranged as Mr. Smiley counted to ten. The two gems grunted as they tried to get up. Tiger quickly used their tail to swipe both Jasper to the ground. The crowd booed at the fusion as Mr. Smiley counted to ten. “That’s it! Tiger Misanthropic, won!” Mr. Smiley said, although he looked uncomfortable. This angered the coward even more as the booed harder. “Get off the stage, Tiger’s Eye!” One random person yelled. The fusion gritted their teeth and punched Ocean Jasper in the jaw. “E-enough, please. You’ve already won.” Ocean Jasper said as to try and back down the fusion. “No. This isn’t over. I still need to fight and you’re the only ones who gave me a good enough show. I WANT to keep fighting. I… I want them to stop booing me! Why? Why do they cheer for clearly off-colored gems like you? I’m BETTER than you! I’m better than EVERYONE! I’m the perfect Quartz! I’m a DIAMOND! And yet, they still boo at me! They call me worthless! WHY!? WHY AREN’T I GETTING WHAT I WANT!?” The fusion asked, their mind fuzzing in rage. Ronaldo stepped forward to the front of the crowd. “Because humans don’t like jerks, Snerson! We don’t like it when matches are so easy, there’s no doubt who’s going to win! Would Ultimate Magical Girl Packo be as great as she is if she just won every fight she won? NO! Because that’s boring! Struggling is real! Even if you have a great tragic backstory, if you don’t give us a good fight, how do we even know if you went through it. It’s what gives wrestling… no… ALL MEDIA their worth! But you Sneeple don’t see it that way! You just want to cause wars and in battles for amusement!” Ronaldo yelled. Peedee facepalmed himself. Tiger’s Eye stiffened as their eyes were covered by shadow and they clutched their fists. “You don’t think I know what suffering is?” They said, then turned to the crowd, their eyes cold and lifeless.
“MY ENTIRE LIFE HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT SUFFERING! SINCE THE DAY I’VE CAME OUT OF THIS PLANET, I’VE BEEN CLAWING MY WAY TO THE TOP! YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT I’VE BEEN THROUGH! I HAD TO SHATTER MY FELLOW GEMS! I HAD TO FOLLOW YELLOW’S ORDER EVEN WHEN I WANTED TO GET REVENGE AGAINST THE EARTH! I HAD TO WITNESS PINK FAKE HER OWN SHATTERING, MAKING EVERYONE THINK SHE WAS DEAD! I HAD TO LISTEN TO EVERYONE’S PROBLEMS! GARNET! AMETHYST! PEARL! I HAD TO FIX THEM! I ALWAYS HAD TO FIX ROSE’S MISTAKES! AND WHEN I DISOBEY, I GET TRAPPED IN THE TOWER WITHOUT ANY LIGHT! I WAS TRAPPED IN MY ROOM, ALONE, WAITING FOR THE GEMS TO COME BACK! NOBODY EVER LISTENS TO WHAT I HAVE TO SAY! NOBODY CARES WHAT I HAVE TO CONTRIBUTE! I’M A DIAMOND! I’M JUST AS IMPORTANT AS EVERYONE ELSE AND THEY DON’T EVEN CARE! AND JUST WHEN I THINK I COULD FINALLY HAVE A HAPPILY EVER AFTER, SPINEL SHOWS UP AND RUINS EVERYTHING! UGH! WHY CAN’T I EVER GET WHAT I WANT?!” Tiger’s Eye yelled then roared, their entire body engulfed in pink light. A shockwave of energy pushing everyone back as the stage crumbles to bits. “NO! MY STAGE!” Mr. Smiley yelled in horror. The crowd looked at the fusion in terror, then began to panic as they rushed towards the exit. Ronaldo stood still. The fusion takes off the cat disguise and tosses it on the ground. “Don’t worry, Beach City. I’ll protect you from this Snerson!” He yelled out as he unbuttoned his shirt revealing the golden armor underneath. Kiki and Big Spike were helping people exit the area, while Peedee looked in horror at the fusion, frozen in fear. Ronaldo rushed towards the fusion, but they simply block his punch by lifting up their hand and catching it. Ronaldo flinched in pain as he failed to do any damage. “Oh, no, not again,” Peedee said. Tiger’s Eye picked Ronaldo up and roared. The two Jaspers get up and rush out of the area with Mr. Smiley.
Meanwhile, Pearl, Amethyst, and Garnet entered the building as the last of the remaining people left. “You know, it’s weird that the humans are all running away like this. I hope the match is… *Gasp* Steven! Put your weird friend down!” Pearl said as the group noticed Tiger’s Eye. The fusion roared and threw Ronaldo to the left. The young man grunted in pain as he lands face first. “Ronaldo!” Peedee yelled as he rushed over to his brother. Pearl, Amethyst, and Garnet got out their weapons. Tiger’s Eye looked at the Crystal gems and suddenly the fusion sees Blue Diamond where Pearl was, Yellow Diamond where Amethyst was, and White Diamond where Garnet was. The fusion held their head, then let out another pink shock wave, shacking the area.  “Tiger’s Eye, you need to calm down and unfuse. You’ve been Tiger’s Eye for too long. If you don’t, we’ll force you to unfuse!” Garnet called out. The fusion covered their ears and grunted in pain. “Please, we’re here for you sis. We don’t want to hurt you,” Amethyst said, trying to help the fusion out. Tiger began shaking as tears formed in their eyes. “I… I…” They began to say, but the pressure was building higher and higher. They looked at the gems, but suddenly the world became a dark orange landscape with orange light filling the sky. The Crystal gems grew into large dark shadow versions of themselves with their eyes and gems glowing pure white. Tiger’s Eye stepped back in fear. “No… no… no… S-stay away! I…I…I can handle this. I…I…I…” They said, panic in their voice as they returned to their normal colors.
Suddenly they heard a roar. They turned around and they saw Cactus Steven form out of white butterflies. The creature’s eyes were open, but they too were full of light alongside their many mouths. “C-cactus Steven?” They said in confusion and fear. Suddenly the monster grabbed them. “Why do I need to be needed? Everyone’s better off without me! The gems don’t need me anymore!” The monstrosity said. The monster changed into Lapis. “You’re NOTHING without me!” She yelled. Suddenly water chains sprout out of the ground and Tiger’s legs and arms. The fusion began struggling to escape the chains. “Lapis, please, let us go! We… we promise to be good! I promise not to hurt anyone! Just, please… please let me go!” The fusion begged as they felt themselves being submerged in water. Lapis growled as more chains wrap around their body. “NO! YOU CAN NEVER CHANGE! YOU CAN NEVER BE GOOD! YOU SAY YOU DON’T WANT TO HURT ANYONE BUT YOU HURT EVERYONE!” Lapis yelled. The fusion was now mostly submerged in the water. “I’m… I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I… I shouldn’t be around.” They said as they felt guilt consume them. They take a deep breath as they held their neck.
The fusion looked up and saw a large shadow of Lapis over-looking them. “Of course, you shouldn’t! It’s all your fault! You are the reason everything’s awful! You’re the reason people aren’t happy! You’re the reason people hate us!” Lapis’ voice yelled; her voice as crisp as ever. They hear something but it was hard to hear anything, and the fusion felt their air depleting. “It’s our fault! We heal the wounds left by mom, but then we only make new wounds! All we do is hurt people! All we do is endanger people’s lives! Nobody ever listens! We can’t have what we want? Why? Why do we exist? Maybe…maybe we shouldn’t exist! Maybe it would be better off if we were gone! Nobody needs us! Nobody loves us! We’re just one huge mistake!” Steven’s voice was heard, but it sounded different. It was cold, bitter, angry, and devoid of happiness. They looked up but saw the shadow changed into Steven, however, it had Pink Diamond eyes and it was glaring at them. They felt something touching their arms. The fusion suddenly their arms being yanked away from their neck. Before they knew what was happening, the fusion turned into light and Jasper and Steven forms split the from the light. Steven and Jasper gasped for breath, Steven finds himself in Garnet’s arms and Jasper in Amethyst’s and Pearl’s. The two looked around and saw that there were purple marks around each of their necks that quickly healed. Jasper and Steven were back to back against each other.
Pearl rushed over to Steven and quickly hugged him, crying her eyes out as she yelled, “STEVEN!” The boy held his head. It was still kind of foggy. “Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst. What happened? I… remember getting really mad in the ring, us wrecking some stuff, and… being drowned by Lapis after Cactus Steven said some mean stuff to.” The young boy asked as he looked at them and noticed their weapons were gone. The boy looked exhausted, and bags were under his eyes. “You attacked that Ronaldo. Oh, by the way, Ronaldo, are you okay?” Amethyst asked as she looked at the man’s direction. He got up and coughed. “Y-yeah. Just a bit woozy. Man, Steven, your fusion sure does know how to throw a guy…” He said then wobbled. Peedee catches him. “You nearly attacked us and a crowd of people, and then we tried to calm you both down, you began chocking yourselves. We had to force your hands off your neck, and I guess that cause you to unfuse. Be glad we were here, Steven,” Pearl explained. Steven’s eyes shrank when he heard this. Tears flowed down his eyes as he hugged Pearl. She smiled and hugged him back. “Don’t worry, Steven. Everything’s going to be okay. It’s not your fault the fusion did that.” Pearl explained. Jasper coughed as she looked at the boy. “Could you weaklings explain what this chocking this was and why it hurt so much?” Jasper asked, annoyed at such weakness. Amethyst put a hand on her shoulder. “Chocking is like when you are submerged in water, but you can’t actually handle the stuff being in your body. Steven’s part Organic, he needs stuff like air and food to function. He can’t handle being submerged in water. Trust me, I’ve seen it happen,” Amethyst said, a bit embarrassed with herself when it previously happened. Jasper rolled her eyes and grumbled.
“How long were you fused with Jasper for?” Garnet asked as she moved to be right next to Pearl, putting a hand on his shoulder. Steven sniffled. “I-I’d say, about 11 hours. I know. I know, we should have unfused before we became unstable, but… but… I… I didn’t want to unfuse Jasper and she didn’t want to unfuse with me. I… I thought if we could find something we liked, Jasper would like Earth more. But we took too long and we lost control. I’m… I’m sorry for letting this happen.” He said, in shame. He looked at Jasper. “Jasper, are you okay? H-how are you feeling?” Steven asked, worried about her. Jasper got up and brushed the dust off herself. “I’m fine. Although… I never expected you to say those things about humans.” She said as she got up, impressed by him. Pearl, Amethyst, and Garnet were confused about what they were talking about. “Huh? Steven, what is she talking about?” Pearl asked. Steven held himself. “I… wasn’t the right of mind. We both weren’t thinking straight. But we’re not Tiger’s Eye anymore, and it doesn’t matter.” Steven said, looking away. Jasper glared at the teen then looked at Peedee. “You, small earthling, explain to them what happened. My mind is still too fogged up to recall it at the moment.” Jasper said, annoyed. Peedee stiffened. “Y-yes madame!” He said as if Jasper was some General. He coughed in nervousness.
“W-well, Tiger’s Eye was at first mad that the crowd was booing them for being too good in the ring and beating every match. When my brother explained why we didn’t like them winning, they kind of ranted about how their life was full of struggles. About how they had to listen to those former dictators, how they used to shatter gems, how they had to fix Steven’s mom’s mistakes and saw her apparently faking her own death, which… I’m not going to question cause that sounds like a whole lot of worms I don’t want to untangle. Being locked in a tower, which just sounds like it’s something from a fairytale. Something about having to solve people’s problems, feeling belittled even though they’re part of the diamond authority, wanting a happily ever after, and not getting what they want. Although, the last part kind of makes them sound like a little kid.” Peedee said, Steven blushing in embarrassment. The Crystal gems looked at the boy in shock and horror. “Steven, are you okay? You know you can talk to us whenever you want.” Garnet asked, offering an opening. Steven sighed. “Yeah. I… I’m fine. It’s just, being Tiger’s Eye kind of worn me out and made me feel small and insignificant. But, I’m fine. I promise to not hurt myself again.” He said, putting on a smile.
“Okay, just remember, you can always talk to us,” Pearl said. Steven nodded then looked at Jasper, who didn’t look satisfied. “Hey, Jasper, are you okay? I know today wasn’t the greatest. But maybe next time it will be better. I mean, we did have fun at Funland.” He said as he got up and walked over to her. She looked at him and then got up. “Honestly, I still don’t see why you cherish this piece of dirt. Besides, other than those two quartz soldiers, the humans were nothing compared to us in the ring. And seeing what we just saw… let’s just say, I know this world isn’t meant for someone like me.” Jasper said, then began to leave. Steven felt agony in his stomach. He got up and rushed after her. Amethyst grumbled at the other quartz soldier while Pearl reached out for Steven, but Garnet touched her shoulder. “Don’t worry, Pearl, Steven’s got this.” She said with a smile.
Steven rushed out of the building, Jasper not going too far. “Jasper! I’m… I’m sorry about today. I’m… I’m sorry for everything. Please, don’t leave. I promise to make it to you.” He called out, guilt and shame in his voice. The orange gem snorted as she stopped. “Don’t apologize.” She retorted. Steven shocked his head. “No, I have to. I was the one who didn’t let us unfuse at an appropriate time so we could cool our heads. I knew staying as one fusion for too long wasn’t good for our health, but I let us be Tiger’s Eye because I wanted to stay with you. I… I was so scared that if we were unfused, you would leave me behind, like everyone else. I… I didn’t want that. But… but now, you’re going back to your cave, and it’s all my fault.” He said, fear in his voice, tears followed down his face, “I’m sorry our wrestling event went out of hand. I… I couldn’t control my big stupid heart from caring about the crowd. I… I just wanted for once for them to cheer for me instead of booing or calling me names. I thought to be a bad guy would make them like me again, but it didn’t! It just gave us more boos! And I…” Steven began to panic.
Jasper turned towards him, kneeled, and put her hand on Steven’s shoulder. “Take a deep breath and calm down,” Jasper told him. Steven began breathing heavily then slowed his breath. “Better?” She asked. Steven waited for a second and nodded. “Y-yeah. Thanks Jasper.” He said with a smile on his face. Jasper rolled her eyes in annoyance. “Don’t think this makes up for what happened. I only did that because I know Pink Diamond is suffering with you,” Jasper said. Steven blinked then growled. “What are you talking about? Pink Diamond is gone! She sacrificed herself to make me and she’s never coming back! I thought I got through to you! You were calling me Steven,” Steven yelled, confused and angry. Jasper pointed at the boy with an angry expression on her face. “Then who was that other voice who was talking with us? And don’t say it was Tiger’s eye. We both know that’s a lie.” Jasper said. Steven looked at himself. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. There’s only me here. Maybe the other voice came from you! You ever thought of that! You were the one imagining Lapis drowning us, after all even though she wasn’t even a part of our fusion.” Steven said, trying to deflect Jasper’s accusation. Jasper laughed. “Nice try, Rose, but you can’t manipulate me now that I see the truth. I never thought such a thing was possible, but, now, now I know why Rose Quartz and Pink were so different yet we're also the same gem. That’s because you are two gems, Rose, but you’re trapped inside one gem. You may want to be called Steven Universe, but I know inside, you’re still Rose Quartz and Pink Diamond.” Jasper said, making Steven growl in frustration.
“What are you talking about, Jasper? I’m not Rose! I’m not Pink! I’m Steven Universe!” Steven yelled. He honestly had no idea what she was talking about. “I see that you’ve deluded yourself into thinking you aren’t two people, Rose, but you can’t fool me anymore now that I’ve been inside you. You may have started out as just Pink Diamond pretending to be a Rose Quartz, but something snapped inside of you, splitting your mind into two beings. One being Rose Quartz and the other being Pink Diamond. The Pink I knew didn’t care about humans or the earth, she just wanted to have her colony and be happy. I remember her fighting in battle with the Crystal gems, using her massive strength to win battle after battle. I remember her yelling about Rose Quartz and her plans. I remember Pink using ever possible weapon to try and squish you and your forces. Don’t say that was all an act to make Yellow, Blue, and White respect you, because we both know that is a lie. If you really cared about protecting the earth, the Crystal gems would have won more battles than they did. Pink’s troops wouldn’t be at the top peak and ready with top of the line equipment. Our battles wouldn’t have been so fierce, Rose. You know that you had become two beings, Rose, but you didn’t want to admit it. You didn’t want to admit that you were broken, after all, you’re a Diamond. That’s probably why you forced Pink to fake her death. You both knew that for the war to end, one of you had to die. Pink tried her best to repress you, Rose, make you the one to die, but in the end, you ended up being the one on top. You weren’t physically shattered, Pink, but it was almost the same fate when Rose took over. Rose took your life and hid you away. But now, now you have power, Pink. You can fight back against her and regain your colony! You can make things right again! Rose is now pretending to be this boy, but you, Pink, you’re still in there. I know it. You’re trying your best to speak out, to try and reason with your other self and their messed-up ideology, but you’re drowning her out, Rose. That’s why Pink tried to choke us with Lapis. She’s sick of this world treating her like she’s not a diamond. She’s sick of your rule, of little Homeworld, of being careful. You say you give freedom to gems, but you restrict Pink even though she just wants to be free as well. But she can’t be free in this world, not without risking this crummy planet, these puny humans, and the weak gems under your control, Rose. And now. Now I know what I must do to make things right,” Jasper said.
Steven clutched his shirt around where his gem was. “NO! Jasper, I’m not Pink! I’m not Rose! I’m not my mom! I’m NOT broken!” Steven began saying, then his mind flashed back to seeing two versions of himself. One human and the other full gem. “I’m… I’m not…” Steven said, then clutched his hair as the painful memories filled his mind, “I’m not broken… I’m… I’m not shattered. I’m fine,” He said then he flashed back to interacting with the cluster and hearing their cries of pain. Steven breathed heavily as his mind remembered all the times, he had turned pink. “What's wrong with me? Why do I keep turning pink and having these outbursts?” He asked, scared out of his wits. Jasper smiled as she put her hands on his shoulders. “These aren’t outbursts, Rose. It’s Pink crying out for help! But you’ve been ignoring her cries so you can remain in charge and run that dumb school of yours. You ignore her cries so those Crystal losers wouldn’t worry about you. Well, news flash, Rose, you’ve failed! Your family still badgers you about what’s going on. You gave up on running your crummy little school and now, you have nothing to show for all the time and pain you’ve put yourself through! You may have saved this crummy planet, Rose, but you’re not happy about it, and neither is she! That’s why you’re like this!” She yelled, then turned around, her words stinging like daggers in Steven’s chest.
The boy held his head, then roared as he is engulfed in the pink light again, “STOP IT! I DON’T WANT TO HEAR THIS! I DON’T WANT TO THINK ABOUT THIS! I’M NOT BROKEN! I HAVEN’T FAILED! I’M TRYING MY BEST TO HELP PEOPLE, TO FIX THINGS, BUT LOOK AT YOURSELF! WHAT HAVE YOU’VE DONE SINCE YOU’VE UNCORRUPTED? NOTHING BUT TRAIN FOR A BATTLE THAT IS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN! THE WAR’S OVER, JASPER! I TRIED TO SHOW YOU A DIFFERENT WAY! I GAVE YOU FUSION, I GAVE MY TRUST, AND THIS IS WHAT I GET!? YOU CALLING ME ROSE AGAIN AND SAYING I’M BROKEN INSIDE! WELL, I’M NOT! I’M NOT MY MOM! I’M NOT BROKEN! IF YOU’RE NOT GOING TO ACCEPT ME THEN JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!” He yelled, the groundbreaking under him and a shock wave knocking Jasper back. Steven gasped in fear and reached out for her. “Jasper, are you okay?” He asked, afraid that he might have hurt her. Jasper chuckled as she got up. “Yeah. I’m fine. I see what I have to do to get through to you.” She said and began to walk away. Steven began to shake. “No, Jasper, where are you going? D-don’t leave me alone!” He said, terrified of what he had just done. Jasper chuckled. “You truly are something, Rose. Asking me to leave and then at a drop of rock, begging me to stay. You truly are broken. Goodbye,” She said, then spin dashes away, kicking up a cloud of dust. Steven coughed as she zipped away. Steven looked at his hands, which were still glowing, and leaned against the building away from the door. He crawls into a ball as the light around him dissipates.
After a few seconds, Ronaldo came out of the building. “Well, after a good talk with the gems, and waiting for my injury to recover, I, Ronaldo, am here to apologize to you Stev…en?” Ronaldo said, building confidence in his voice before noticing the sound of crying. He looked around and then saw Steven had begun to cry. Ronaldo walked over to the boy. “Wow, Steven, you’re crying. Did me calling you a Snerson upset you that much? Welp, don’t cry anymore, because I am here to apologize. I’m sorry for calling you a Snerson, Steven, but you got to admit, I only did it to protect myself and Peedee. I didn’t want to be tricked by the government and Sneeple into believing things that weren’t true. I didn’t realize that you were truly in there, Steven. But now that I know, let me apologize for not trusting your word,” Ronaldo said as he tried to cheer Steven up. The boy shifted his head away from the older teen. “I know, I know, how can you forgive me, you wonder, well, let me explain why I called you those things in the ring. I thought Tiger’s backstory was just that, the backstory of a wrestler. I thought it was just the classic, bad guy motive who came from a former hero stick, I didn’t realize that you felt bad about yourself. Also, Amethyst explained that You were Tiger Millionaire! Like wow! I would have never guessed that! You were a pretty good actor, Steven, and now, I see why you changed him into a weenie. N-not that being a weenie is bad or anything, it’s just not a good look for wrestlers, that’s all.” Ronaldo said. Steven sighed and looked at the man. “Am I… broken?” The young boy in the pink jacket asked. Ronaldo was quite confused by this. “Steven, I have no idea what you’re talking about. You need to give more context for me to answer your question.” Ronaldo said. Steven looked down as his mouth struggled to say the words it wanted to say.
“I… Jasper said that I was still my mom and tried to justify it by saying she was broken… and… she said I was suffocating myself, not letting myself speak because I was broken. She said there was two of me and that one was Pink Diamond while the other was Rose Quartz. I… I want to say that she’s wrong and it’s only a delusion we thought up while as Tiger’s eye…and yet… I don’t want to say it. I feel like she’s right. I’ve been messing things up a lot, I gave up running Little Homeworld, I’m scared of everyone in Beach city leaving me even though I know I can’t force anyone to stay, I’ve been saying some awful stuff about the gems and myself, I’ve been turning pink whenever I get upset or scared, and now I’ve messed up my time with Jasper. So, Ronaldo… am I broken?” Steven asked. Ronaldo starred at the kid with shocked eyes. “Wow man, that’s intense.” Ronaldo said. Steven sighed and looked down. “Yeah. I thought talking with Jasper would help me unwind all these feelings I have since I don’t feel like I trust the gems, but all she did was berate me for being weak until I begged her to fuse with me! And even then, we lost control because I didn’t want to unfuse! I… I just feel lost!” Steven yelled. Ronaldo shifted his glasses up, his eyes covered up in light. “Steven, sometimes, the world is full of things you wish were different and you can’t change it. Sometimes you lose your footing and feel like you’re about to fall into the abyss. But cheer up, because you’ll find your footing soon enough. Just stay strong and keep looking forward. Don’t be afraid of yourself and let yourself be whoever you are,” Ronaldo said. Steven chuckled. “When did you get so mature?” He asked, snark fully. Ronaldo blushed as the energy he had dissipated as he blushed. “A-actually, that was a speech I heard from Full Mental Chemistry. It’s a really good anime. You should watch it. It has cute girls, great fighting and most importantly, it’s super deep man.” Ronaldo said. Steven smiled. “Sure. How about next weekend? Unless your busy, then we could schedule it another time.” Steven said, getting a bit nervous. Ronaldo smiled. “Alright! I’m free this weekend, so let’s have a marathon of the show then! I have the remake too, although I find not as good as the original even though it’s more faithful to the manga. We could watch that one too if you want.” Ronaldo offered. Steven smiled. “Sure.” He said.
After a few moments, Peedee came out of the building alongside the Crystal Gems. “Steven, were you and Ronaldo able to make up?” Peedee asked. Steven and Ronaldo nodded. “Yeah, he was able to cheer me up,” Steven said with a smile as he whipped the tears from his eyes. The Crystal gems smiled, then looked around the lot. They noticed the crater Steven had created. “So, Jasper isn’t here now. I bet she went off to her cave again,” Pearl said. Steven stood up. “Yeah. But… I don’t know what she’s planning to do. Jasper thinks I’m somehow both Rose Quartz and Pink Diamond. She said I was broken inside and that I’m suppressing Pink Diamond. I tried talking out of whatever she was planning, but… it didn’t work, and she left. I’m worried she might do something dangerous like try and start another war. She already tried building an army back when the corrupted gems were still around. Now that gems like Bluebird are popping up, she might try to do it again,” Steven said as he tensed up.  This surprised everyone. “This isn’t good. Garnet, why didn’t you say anything so we could jump in and try and stop her?” Amethyst asked the fusion. Garnet held her head. “I didn’t think this was a possible outcome. I thought at worst, she would just sulk back to her cave and she would be back where she had been. I never thought this was a possible future. Steven, you need to talk to us so we can get a better understanding of what happened between you and Jasper as Tiger’s Eye. Perhaps we can get a better idea of why this happen to help stop her.” Garnet said. Pearl and Amethyst agree. Steven tensed up again. This was the exact opposite of why he went to Jasper. “There must be something going on with you to make Jasper be mistaken to think that. Perhaps it has something to do with these strange pink incidents. There is a crater like hole like what happened at the reef. I hope you didn’t harm her,” Pearl said. Steven put on a smile. “O-of course not. Jasper super strong, she handled my blow out like a champ. She’s fine… I’m fine.” Steven said, trying to make his caretakers not worry about him.
“That’s good and all, man. But these pink powers are getting out of hand. I mean, it was cool at first, especially when Smokey became super-fast, but you’ve been losing your chill more and more. We need to talk,” Amethyst said, causing Steven to start shivering in fear. He grunted as he put his hands to his face. Garnet stepped forward, but suddenly Peedee stepped in front of Steven. “Um, sorry about what I have to say, Steven’s family, but you need to need to back off and let him breath. I know you’re worried about him. I’m worried about him but trying to force him to confess his feelings isn’t cool. Let Steven convey his feelings on his own time. He needs a break from tonight and from being Tiger’s Eye. You trying to but in when you’re not needed won’t solve anything,” Peedee said, surprising Steven and the Crystal Gems. Ronaldo got up and stood next to Peedee. “Yeah, Peedee’s right. Steven needs to chillax and take a breather from tonight. He’ll confess his deepest darkest fears another time.” Ronaldo said, although it still didn’t make Steven feel any better. Pearl sighed. “Fine, but Steven, eventually you’ll have to talk to us. We won’t judge you, just promise us that you will when you’re ready.” Pearl said. Steven looked down and sighed. “Alright. I promise. Just… let me breathe tonight,” He said. The crystal gems nodded. “Hey, since we’re all together, why don’t we go eat at my house? I’ll make something everyone will enjoy.” Steven offered. Peedee and Ronaldo smiled. “Sure! I’ll go tell Dad we’ll be having dinner at your house,” Peedee said as he whipped out his phone. Garnet walked up to Steven. She and their son looked at the direction Jasper had left. “Don’t worry Steven, we’ll find Jasper soon enough and stop her before she starts anything. Just let us know when you’re ready to talk. We trust you as an adult to talk to us on your own terms,” Garnet said. Steven took in a deep breath and touched where his gem was. “Yeah, I’ll keep that in mind,” He said with a smiled, the scene fading out.
(The end. Hoped you like the fanfic. Also, the whole chocking scene was inspired by the Disarmed Au on Tumblr, and the anime Ronaldo is referencing is a parody of Full Metal Alchemist, although the speech isn’t from any of the series.)

Animage 483: Interview w/ Matenrou part 2
This is part 2 of the Matenrou interview of Animage 483, for part 1 please read here. It’s about Matenrou and Jakurai’s VA Hayami Show san.
Continuation of the Story by Kannonzaka Doppo’s VA Ito Kento
Tumblr media
Bad at Household Chores But an Able Working Corporate Slave
—— As this is Matenrou’s second CD release, what is your impression of Kannonzaka Doppo?
Ito: When Doppo raps, he steadily becomes more and more dangerous (laughs). Although he wasn’t able to speak his mind when he first started, he might get better at expressing himself little by little. As usual, he’s menial, but I think he is able change that into a strength. For that to happen, it may be because his teammates Jinguji Jakurai and Izanami Hifumi’s presence have become larger.
—— What do you pay attention to when you are acting as Doppo?
Ito: It was a challenge to record with that much negative emotion infused. When I’m in Tokyo, it’s easy to trace Doppo’s actions, like remembering being shaken in a crowded train…. He even wears a suit so it’s even harder. I’m glad my job doesn’t require wearing a suit (laughs).
—— Doppo is perhaps the sole corporate slave character, but how do you feel about this?
Ito: I wonder how much of a corporate slave he is. I don’t think being a salesperson is the most suitable job for Doppo, I wonder if he’s okay. First, Doppo should have a car because it would be tough for Doppo to go around for business by train. Having a car would make it easier. Perhaps Hifumi would buy him a car since he has more money (laughs). I don’t know if he has enough income for a car…
—— A line in Hifumi’s part of “-Division Battle Anthem-” is “12,346,600 Monthly,” so we can estimate his monthly sales to be over 10,000,000 [yen]. If the club shares 50% of the sales with him, then that is a quite an income.
Ito: If it’s not a luxury car, it’s likely that he’d get one for Doppo…?! But if he does that, Doppo’s self worth might fade away (laughs).
——Hifumi possibly has expensive taste, what does Doppo think about him?
Ito: There are times when he’s unpleasant yet he is an indispensable existence. Speaking of it, in the BATTLE CD’s drama part, we learn that they live together.  I thought, “you guys get along too well,” but there are lots of guys that live together. Even around me, I know some people that have roommates. It’s cheaper than paying rent alone, and it’s just easier overall (laughs). The hours they go to work are literally day and night so there is no need for meddling more than necessary. I think they’ve achieved a nice shared livelihood.
—— What do you think Doppo feels about Hifumi’s best-host mode when he’s wearing his suit and his gynophobia side?
Ito: They’ve known each other since forever; Doppo should know why Hifumi has gynophobia. Host, gynophobe, and  his usual mode are the three sides Hifumi has, so Doppo shouldn’t be confused or uncomfortable.
—— There is a scene where Hifumi makes Doppo breakfast, to which Doppo replies with, “Today’s breakfast is grilled salmon, huh?” Did you get the impression that Hifumi often cooks for them?
Ito: On the outside, it looks like Doppo is the one taking care of Hifumi, but it’s actually Hifumi that takes care of Doppo. Like how Hifumi mends Doppo’s suits when they get torn. I’m certain that Doppo is a guy bad at all household chores and decision making, but when he’s out, Doppo is competent. He can contemplate things over and over, and then turn it into action. In the drama part of the first CD, “Matenrou -Clinical Phonetics-,” they head to the apartment of a customer of the host club Hifumi works at. There, Doppo predicted that she would jump and prepared a mat, did he not? How he was able to prepare that in a short time is a bit comedic though (laughs); that was some really good work.
The “Unexpected” Light Shining into the Repetitive Every Day
Tumblr media
—— What impression do you have about Jakurai?
Ito: For Doppo, Jakurai is the person he trusts the most besides Hifumi. He is who Doppo consults with, but I also think he’s a mentor. The two of them, Hifumi and Jakurai, help lift Doppo up as they walk together. In the drama part this time, you can feel the depth of Jakurai’s connection to Amemura Ramuda. You really can’t tell if there’s something there, though I think that the incident that caused this connection surely surpasses any imagination. But even though Doppo is curious, he won’t actively push to know. If Jakurai would someday tell him, I think he would be overjoyed.
—— Is Doppo undergoing Jakurai’s counseling right now?
Ito: I believe he is. Since the setting of the BATTLE CD went from Shinjuku Division to Chuuoku, I can’t say if there has been a change in their regular relationship, though I still think it’s needed for Doppo.
—— In the 1st CD, before becoming a member of Matenrou, Doppo performs a rap in front of Jakurai. In his lyrics is the line “Society is cold but somehow it’s warmer now,” what does it mean?
Ito: I actually haven’t heard from Kimura Subaru-san what his thoughts were when he wrote the lyrics. Maybe holding the Hypnosis Mic is like a portal to something unlike what Doppo is used to. And that might be what he’s been looking for in his repetitive daily life. I wouldn’t say that it’s hope, but it’s a ray of light that shines through and reached him; the warmth [he mentioned in the lyrics] probably refers to that.  He must have been very happy when he first received the mic, after everything that happened.  It’s the same for Hifumi I think. Doppo and Hifumi would be first and second place if the characters held an awkwardness competition.
—— In the BATTLE CD were interactions with each of the other divisions. There is a scene where he drinks Busujima Mason Riou’s special-made drink, although it had a taste that made Aohitsugi Samatoki, Iruma Juto, and Hifumi faint, only Doppo was able to drink it without trouble.
Ito: It’s only my idea of what happened, but I think Doppo loves nutrition drinks. Health recovery maybe? (laughs) Taste may come second for a healthy body. Drinking without prejudice and the likes of not being afraid to try things is one of Doppo’s nice points.
—— In the 2nd drama part “Just A Friend,” Hifumi went out at night in Chuuoku and was then chased by women.
Ito: It was nice to know what Doppo would do when confronting women. Ah, of course he’d run. He even screams (laughs).
—— He didn’t seem happy at all, did he?
Ito: Doppo isn’t the type to go out in public, I guess he never thought he would be like an idol.
—— There, they had a chance encounter with Yumeno Gentaro and Arisugawa Dice and had a quarrel.
Ito: Subaru also wrote the lyrics for that part. Doppo’s “I’m sorry” and similar words are a shield making a nice steady style. The recording this time was also fun, I got carried along by Subaru’s enthusiasm in the direction room. We also learned how the two fight in the absence of Jakurai. But it wasn’t the real fight, which is why they didn’t use their full power. Also, Doppo worried about what others think of him, as he understood that this is not the place to fight. These two are still hiding their claws. I wonder if I was able to incorporate that in my acting.
—— Do you have any members you are interested in after this recording?
Ito: I’m a member of Matenrou, but I like Dice. His gambler way of life is great; it’s something I very much don’t think I can do (laughs). Actually, Fling Posse is a burning presence in me, their songs and relationships are also nice. They don’t have a common goal, and with the exception of Ramuda, a novelist and gambler aren’t very Shibuya-Division-like jobs. However, surely for these three, there has to be a reason why it has to be Shibuya.
Lurking in the Dirty City, the Tale of Matenrou continues
Tumblr media
—— “BATTLE BATTLE BATTLE” begins with Doppo’s attack.
Ito: It was surprising that I was first. Because it’s the firing shot, the lyrics were a simple attack on Shibuya. There’s a strong feeling of camaraderie in this song. For example, Dice attacked Doppo and Hifumi follows up by returning his lyrics. I thought it was as if the three were really fighting. Also, the three’s final lyrics really stood out. They said, “No matter how hard your past was” --- what was their past like? Why did they become the men of Shinjuku? I hope you have fun imagining it.
—— Doppo’s scream of “Matenrou!” is quite impressionable.
Ito: That was originally not in the demo, but was decided during the recording. It really fires up the atmosphere for a rap battle, no? During the discussion with everyone, we talked about adding more Dopponess into the song, and that’s how it happened. However, Shibuya’s “Posse Posse” is chanted by the whole Fling Posse, whereas I’m doing this alone (laughs).
—— What do you think about the team song “Shinjuku Style ~Don’t Make Me Laugh~”?
Ito: Firstly, the demo which was given to us by Rappagariya was amazing. Usually demos are just the melodies without any effects or arrangements, but his demo was so cool and with lots of effects. It was totally ready to be put into a CD as is. Thanks to that, it was easy to picture the final product. But this song is so difficult. When I was practicing at home it almost made me cry.
—— Have you watched the trailer for this song?
Ito: The video shows the streets of Shinjuku from the point of view of the characters. I am glad that there are also cuts where Doppo is getting on subways and walking up stairs. In those cuts, the camera was facing downwards which was so just like Doppo. Shinjuku, especially Kabukicho, is filled with billboards of portraits and texts. There are even taglines like “profession: hottie.” It’s an interesting place. This song seems scarier than Fling Posse’s team song, maybe Shinjuku is seen as a scary place. When I listen to the song, a picture of Matenrou swaggering together through downtown comes to my mind. However, this might make the other divisions more aggressive against us. Don’t get me wrong, Shinjuku is not scary at all… is what I want to tell them (laughs).
—— Doppo’s solo song, “Tigridia,” from the first CD sure has a different impression from the BATTLE CD.
Ito: I think the Doppo in this song is the everyday Doppo. While he says that he’s walking alone, it’s not actually like that. In terms of time, it could be his song from before he became a member of Matenrou, or shortly after he joined. I myself really like this song. Since I sang this song, it’s a bit embarrassing to recommend it to people, but I recommend it (laughs). To start with the song’s track, it’s very cool, so even just the instrumental version is superb.
—— Is there something you would like to do with “Hypnosis Mic” in the future?
Ito: What I had been wanting to do until now is a live show and it’s coming soon. It’s crazy how we made it all the way to hosting a concert! However, now I am a bit anxious that I won’t be able to sing properly. It’s a great challenge and afterwards, I want to try to hold a live show in Shinjuku. It’d be nice if the venue is related to the characters, but we might be yelled at if we do it in hospitals and offices (laughs). Host clubs might be the most likely to let us do so. And maybe a surprise pop-up concert. I think a flash-mob kind of performance would work for this project. How about it? I want to do it.
—— This time is the reveal of the outcome, what will happen?
Ito: From the songs, I get the image that Fling Posse is pop and Matenrou is shady. Which side will be eliminated is determined by the audiences. I am worried that the shadiness of Matenrou might scare away some people. However, the “women and men of Shinjuku”* who support Matenrou probably already know the charm and the underlying enchantment of shadiness. How Matenrou’s story will develop from this point on, I myself want to know as well. Therefore, please kindly vote for us.
* Fans of Hypnosis Mic are sometimes referred to as “Women/Men of [     ] Division”
