Hot take?: I actually think Phil has an incredibly normal number of “northern anecdotes.” Like I think most people have a few dozen strange childhood stories, they just either forget them or don’t think they’re worth telling. I think he just remembers them more and recalls them at strange times which makes it seem like a lot more than it is.

Hello! I’ve noticed that you post a bit about something called malevolent, and it sounds super interesting, but I can’t find any information on it, like. Anywhere I look. So I was hoping you could explain a bit? Only if you want to of course, there’s absolutely no pressure to do so!

ABSOLUTELY!!! It's a horror podcast (eldritch horror, and it heavily features things from Lovecraft) which follows a private investigator named Arthur Lester who became blind after getting bound to an eldritch deity (that now possesses Arthur's eyes and acts as a guide by describing everything around them. Which is really fun considering this is an audio drama). And then they go around trying to figure out how they ended up bound together, and ultimately how to separate each other.

That's just the basic premise of it, as the story progresses it becomes a lot more complex, as the characters get fleshed out (which is obvious lol). It's actually such a great story about humanity and friendship and hope even when the whole universe seems to be against you. The bond between Arthur and the voice in his head is definitely the core of the story, and watching it progress is so so good.

I will warn though that there is a lot of gore and noises that one could find disgusting or uncomfortable (such as chewing, choking, vomiting, gurgling and such. I know this could be a problem for some) and i definitely recommend reading the content warnings for each episode and the show in general. But if you can handle it, it's such a great podcast and i definitely recommend checking it out :D
