so a lil bout me if anyone wants to be moots: (i also have a backup in case i lose this acct, i reblogged this post)

you 1,000% do not need to read all of this, however i truly think it is super helpful considering i was raised by a dietitian.

my “rexie guidebook” tips n tricks losing weight healthily yada yada yada is below the cut if you’re interested!

cw: 180lxs 81kg (i know it got out of hand 🥲)

gw: 130lxs 58kg (doing everything i can to get here by christmas)

so basically, if you do these things i can guarantee you 100% will lose weight. if you’ve plateaued, if you’re just starting out, if you’re trying to take it slow after relapsing, even if you’re petite and need a metab boost to start loosing lxs again, i’m not saying it’s good to be apart of this community but im along this ride w ya so. here u go.

1. keep your e@ting window as small as possible aka eat to live don’t live to eat (the r3xie motto 🤪). i’m f@sting minimum 16:8 and i try to extend that. but major thing is don’t beat yourself up if you can’t make it 16hrs and be happy the days you can make it longer!! esp if your just starting out.

2. stay low c@l. i’m trying my best to stay under 500 c@l/day. and consume that how it works for you. if five 100 c@l snacks over 8 hrs work best some days that’s ok. if OMAD works best, great! my mom is a dietitian and i promise, eating a little of each food group (dairy, carb ik scary, protein, veg & fruit) will help your metab which in the long run will help you l0se more weight. sometimes just having one protein bar mid day works 4 me. others i need a full meal. fuel your body or you will burn muscle which leads to organ damage.

3. don’t do LONG term fasts. i’d say up to a week with heavy liquids is okay. and not just water, incorporate broths, mio, even sugar free jello is good (if it’s clear typically it’s ok) but long term fasts can lower your metabolism, deplete electrolytes, and sodium, which long term is going to bloat you, keep weight on (or make you gain it back quickly), and overall make you feel like shit (which could lead to hospitalization)

4. don’t eat refined sugar or refined foods. do literally AS MUCH AS YOU CAN to eat sugar free and whole foods. i have a major sweet tooth so i turn to sugar free jello/pudding, sf caramels, halo top ice cream if i REALLY need it. otherwise i do sweet fruits and veggie based substitutions for carbs. i use cauliflower rice, zucchini noodles, or there’s these great hearts of palm noodles.

5. eat tons of fiber!! laxatives will help momentarily, consistent fiber will keep your 💩 regular thus keeping your body from holding onto it aka extra lxs. i add unflavored benefiber to a lot of my drinks (the flavored ones have added sugar). i honestly could promise you that fiber will help with shedding !bs.

6. drink as much water as you possibly can. yes you can become over-hydrated so add electrolytes or legit just a lil salt to your water here n there. but your body is going to retain water (!bs), and bloat if you are dehydrated. #1 thing to remember is you are depleting your body of what it wants. finding a way to basically trick it makes it easier and quicker to lose fat.

7. stay distracted! discipline and hunger may hurt now, regret and guilt are going to hurt 50x worse later. a grumbly tummy is not worth it. get some motivational phrases, tactics, distractions, that work for you and RELY ON THEM. water, i use mio in mine when i’m desperate, gum, diet soda, bubbly water, reading, tv, ANYTHING. i have other reblogs with some good motivational tactics. i also look at th!nspø as well as pics of my own body multiple times per day to keep me on track. YOU ARE NOT ALWAYS GOING TO BE MOTIVATED SO YOU MUST BE DISCIPLINED. i repeat that to myself 100000 times a day.

8. incorporate foods/drinks that speed up your metab. coffee, green tea, spicy foods (pepper, cayenne pepper), cinnamon, B12 there’s sooo many. and this goes hand in hand with making sure you’re getting your vitamins. picking up a general multivitamin will help make it so your body doesn’t want to cling onto every last cal it’s fed.

9. exercise if you are mentally & physically able to. i have some other limiting factors which make me unable to go to the gym or get as many steps in as id like. an avg day is 2k-5k steps for me rotting on the couch. i PROMISE like 100% money back guarantee (srry bad joke i swear im not a damn ana coach 🙄) your diet is 1,000,000x more important than any exercise you’re going to get in. exercise will help with toning so i try to get some laying ones done on the couch but dude you burn calories just existing. so if you eat lower than that which is 1k-2k (you can look it up it’s your TDEE) you will lose weight. it may be slightly slower than if you walked 20k steps/day or worked out 5 hrs every day but give it time.

literal str8 up proof of this^^^ is my father. he’s a gym junkie like going every morning at 4am (insanity but not my kind), but was eating a lot, and garbage. high carb and sugar intake. and even though he was working out A TON with a lot of steps/day he was gaining fat. he came to me and i told him str8 up to eat less and stop treating his body like a dumpster. eat healthier. homie is shedding lxs.

when bege met with sanji, he specifically said that he would be marrying the 35th daughter of the charlotte family AND says her name is pudding. he has a nasty history of being perverted towards teenage girls after the timeskip (he literally Turns To Stone upon seeing shirahoshi, who is only 16) and his attitude with pudding is no exception (she even comments on his perversion during the wedding ceremony. there was no "brainwashing" involved, he is just a perv.)

im a sanji fan myself, but you can't turn a blind eye from his behavior towards teenage girls. he is 21 years old in canon after the timeskip. pudding being "mentally 18" is such a gross way to explain why sanji might view her as older than she really is and as someone who was groomed by a pedophile for acting older than i actually was at the time, that phrasing sets off so many red flags in my head.

im not necessarily saying sanji is a pedophile (because i truly dont believe that he is given his attraction to All women and 16 is the lowest age hes acted like that towards), but it is still extremely weird of him and people making fun of him or criticizing that aspect of him is perfectly fine and you shouldn't take it as a personal thing. that is just how oda wrote him. (but hey at least he's not kyros or vander decken who genuinely ARE pedophiles.)

As for for the history with teenage girls post-ts, I think it's just Shirahoshi??? And while I'm not saying that's good, I will say that I am conflicted on some of the characterization in Fishman Island. I haven't read it in a long time so I'm just working off what I remember here. While the plot of Fishman Island is great, I always have some issues with the arc itself. It always feels a little off to me. Like some of the characterizations are just a little wonky here and there throughout the entire arc. It feels like Oda forgot how to write a few characters. It also feels like he's using that arc to see how far he wants to push new gags or personality aspects he's trying to work with after the IRL mini timeskip. Like he doesn't quite know just yet who some of the straw hats are after their time skip. I'm not saying that excuses Sanji's behavior, I'm just saying it makes me conflicted over the legitimacy of Sanji's personality in that arc. Because like Oda doesn't use the "almost die from bloodloss gag" again after fishman island either so it just always kinda feels like Oda was fumbling around in the dark with Sanji (as well as a few others) in Fishman Island. That's just me, though.

As for Sanji being obsessed with Shirahoshi's beauty, wasn't that like the whole thing with her? Wasn't like the entire country obsessed with how pretty she was? I could be mistaken but I thought I remember the citizens being enamored by her as well. I ain't saying it makes it better, I'm just saying that Oda made that a weird prominent detail if I'm remembering it right.

And I didn't say that that Pudding was "mentally 18" nor do I think she is, I said that she could be mistaken for 18 in a quick meeting. Meaning he wouldn't question her age as he actually barely got to talk to her at all. I think he only ever spoke to her like 2-3 times and never for very long or unchaperoned (judging by how Pudding talked about Sanji). Especially since Pudding is an excellent actor and is actively manipulating Sanji in a specific way that Big Mom has coached her to do. Neither family cared if Sanji and Pudding liked each other or cared about what was healthy for them so they would have no reason to let them interact for very long. As someone who was emotionally abused by my mother, when I was a teenage I took on personality traits and speaking patterns of someone older than myself (a common problem with emotional abuse). People often mistook me for being older than I actually was in short conversations. If Sanji never had any actual long conversations with Pudding, he'd have no clue that's she's not actually 18. While this doesn't make things right, it would explain some behaviors.

He doesn't actually want anything to do with her. He just wants to go home.

As for what I consider Sanji basically brainwashing himself is just him talking himself into an obsessive and possibly dissociative mindset. Sanji's under so much duress and his mental health is so incredibly fractured right now that if he's going to survive, his only option is to construct a dreamworld so far out of reality that he's actually happy and in love with Pudding.

Because of the sudden influx of trauma, stress, and crippling hopelessness, Sanji's grasp on reality is quickly crumbling. He needs to take any handhold he can grab. The only handhold he's allowed to take is Pudding. He calls her his "Ray of Hope". And because of this, he throws himself so hard into her orbit that he goes to the extreme of being creepy because now his only grasp on reality is Pudding.

This protective delusional headspace he's in is so strong (again, common for people who have suffered severe trauma and abuse) that he stays in it until he sees her eye. Because he if didn't have this headspace to keep him "calm" beside his would-be murderer, the wedding ceremony on the cake may have ended in actual disaster. And all their plans would be ruined.

After he gets through to Pudding by calling her eye beautiful, the very real danger of him being murdered is gone and he's released from his protective headspace. Which explains why he's so platonic towards her during the escape and all the cake baking despite the fact that she's constantly melting when he even looks at her.

What I am saying is that if Sanji called out for simping on teenage girls was a definable trend in his personality, why is he never all over Carrot? From what I remember (and I could be wrong), he only ever treats her like a little sister. She's young and pretty but still in Zou Sanji simps over the adult women minks rather than Carrot, despite her platonically being all over him (minks are just very affectionate). Hell, he seeks out Pedro more than Carrot.

I'm not saying that Sanji shouldn't be called out for being a fucking perverted idiot. Because he is one. I'm just saying that it pisses me off when people write him off as a one-note creep not worth thinking about instead of taking the time to understand that Sanji is extremely nuanced far outside his single trait of being horny.

I will say that Sanji can be creepy but I don't get the vibe from him about being an active creep specifically towards teenage girls. Especially since he seems to prefer more mature women like Robin, Kiku, Viola or frightening women like Nami.

As for me taking things personally and getting physically ill. That's just me being stupid and having severe rejection sensitivity when it comes to Sanji. I wish it'd go away.

I think it all boils down to Oda having sus choices in character ages... It would have changed literally nothing if he had just made Pudding 18.

hi. march. slowly shortening this introduction to my posts. sorry if this is a little incoherent i woke up in the middle of the night and im getting sleepy again

i tried looking up fanfiction involving hannyabul and magellan the other day and there was almost none??? i really thought theyd be .. at least a little popular ... the dynamics... arent the dynamics similar to zosan or cavendish and bartolomeo.. dont people like that.. (i wouldnt know since ive never really been a fan of the enemies/rivals to lovers trope)

im pretty sure kidd wears a beast pirate disguise? and like .. good for him... (good for me).. hes got the titties out. i love men. i also rly enjoy the few frobin moments we get when theyre in disguise, theyre super cute!! it seems like u havent been spoiled on the Biggest Moments in wano so im very very glad to hear that. it also kind of has a mystery aspect so i think its probably way more enjoyable to go in blind. there IS a special kind of anticipation when u know what's coming but.. imo its more fun to guess how things will go rather than know and be excited about it

honestly i didnt care for the setting either. in the anime tho .. big mom's introduction is so good. theres a song that plays (its in the manga too but it's way better to hear it rather than... read lyrics) and when i started wci i was still watching the anime, so i got to listen to the song. it was stuck in my head for days. very catchy. i love how theatrical it is and it really made me excited for the arc .. and then i ended up barely enjoying it LOL. also i do actually love pudding but her age also makes me go... ewww. oda made an awful decision making her 16 . gives me kyros flashbacks.. although sanji doesnt seem to be genuinely interested in her. but still like why did oda do that... why... what is the point ... wci does pick back up a bit imo after they get sanji back (which i think is the part ur at? or a little bit after?) and i honestly think it wraps up quite nicely. and yeah.. most importantly.. katakuri is introduced in the second half. lovely guy. i heart him

robin's va did that in. one take??? that is Insane?? she genuinely channeled robin in that moment wtf

i will definitely talk abt opla if/when i watch it. even if zoro doesnt have his goofiness at least i can thirst over him. am i into mackenyu? no.. zoro? yeahs........ also i can definitely see how jacob being too hot is an issue for usopp LOL. some people just.. ooze confidence.. and are too smooth. i think ill probably enjoy his characterization anyways tho cuz i adore usopp

i think its semi canon?? theres a moment in the anime (idk if its in the manga or not) where bepo gives law.. puppy dog? eyes? but like .. polar bear version. and law is clearly weak to that. also he calls chopper a tanuki even after being asked not to bc chopper has a cute reaction (he gets mad). so i think he IS weak to cute animals. he is very similar to robin like that... they would definitely bond over choppers cuteness. and they both have weird taste.. in cute animals. its not bunnies or idk. dogs or cats. robin likes pathetic animals (the dragon that had to carry them all up to zou) and law likes . bepo. a 7 foot tall polar bear man.

RIGHT?? RIGHT???? dont worry the colorism stays /s. they have characters in the latest episodes that are dark skinned and they made only the girl lighter skinned. oda didnt do that. oda made them all the same in the manga. its infuriating.

an issue i have post timeskip is that i actually cannot tell the women apart half the time. they all look pretty similar in the manga, although theyre distinguishable by their clothes and hair. but there was a spread (not colored) that had the main one piece women all in different clothes and with different hair and i sat there for multiple minutes trying to figure out who was who. like i genuinely couldnt tell. i miss nami's short hair,, it had so much character.. and i also miss robins short hair.. again.. it had so much character.

even on a colored cover i had a moment where i was like "is that vivi or is it nami" because it was just a solid blue. i assumed vivi based off context clues and bc.. blue. but if i hadnt had that.. i dont think i wouldve been able to tell. i have no problem with character design changing but oda makes most of the women next to indistinguishable from one another now. its really upsetting. if they had different skin tones or even just. different eye shapes. or different figures. it wouldnt be that much of an issue. but nooo he cant do that. all women who are supposed to be attractive have to look the same.

YEAH ive seen that video!!! u show up a lot on my feed but most of the time its just... the same few posts... which is kind of funny. I ALSO LOVED THE NEWKAMA!! like wow!!! queer representation??? i feel a kinship with these characters?? bon clay literally made impel down for me. my favorite boygirl girlboy. i adore u bon clay.. i adore u.

im a big fan of fukaboshi so i think anytime he was on screen my enjoyment was elevated. also zoro fighting hody(is that who it was) underwater was so cool . like how are u better than a fishman in water??? and the moments with noah... it felt like it was setting up some rly big things and i always love stuff like that. LOL YEAH sanji was even grosser on return to sabaody. i think its just not talked about as much because it wasnt a long arc and he wasnt on screen for a lot of it

oh they for sure have some good points. i also miss the silly shenanigans of pre timeskip. but overall im enjoying post timeskip more, and i do think theyre at least a LITTLE BIT blinded by nostalgia. its hard not to be tbh. i do really miss seeing all the crew together. i dont exactly mind them splitting up but .. i feel like a lot of them end up kind of sidelined. we dont get to see (just some examples) brook or chopper or nami fight much and i. i love them.. i love them just as much as the rest of the crew. i think nami has a really interesting fighting style. and brook is just fun. and people complain (validly) that chopper has been mascotified. which i wouldnt mind so much if he got more cool moments but he doesnt!! we dont even get to see him being a doctor that often :(.

like the writing is still fantastic but yeah. i agree. oda has basically run the jokes that were already pretty tired. into the ground. sanji being the one who suffers most from it. i dont mind robin having more moments where she imagines a really gruesome thing has happened to someone, for example. because she barely did that pre timeskip, and now she only does it occasionally so its not like "oh my god STOP". its still enjoyable. but. idk if theres even a prominent example of someone's character joke being awful other than sanji. like hes the only one who has a consistently awful joke. that in my opinion has never been funny. and its been made into a huge part of his character. i still love post timeskip to death bc. look at everything thats happening!! but i have a lot . lot . lot of gripes with it.

wait. how do u feel about sanji with heterochromia. one eye is blue and the other is brown . u get the best of both worlds... i felt like i was smart for this but ur the resident sanji lover. u have the say (in my mind) of what is best for him,,,

i saw someone say usopp would get conquerers haki and i big time disagree. he has the best observation haki in the crew and i feel like him getting conquerers haki would kinda cheapen that. and it cheapens his growth. why does he need to have conquerers haki to be a brave warrior of the sea? hes doing perfectly well without it. and also i dont think it fits his character. hes cowardly, has no self confidence, runs away from battles sometimes out of fear, and definitely has a huge sense of shame. from what i know, people with conquerers haki are usually super self assured, strong in a pretty traditional sense, and dont have much self doubt. usopp is like the opposite of that. i think hes very brave because he fights despite how scared he is, but the character archetype just doesn't work imo. like usopp without those characteristics is. to me. not usopp. tell me what u think!! also im like 90% sure none of this is spoilery but if it is i am so so sorry

obviously i havent seen the live action yet but live action shanks looks too hot to me.. like hes too conventionally attractive. i want him to be.. a rat man.. greasy .. but extremely charming.. and hes NOT!! hes just regular hot!??

do all places in one piece just have extra chairs or tables that are bigger? cuz there are some characters that arent of the giant race but are huge. and yet they fit on regular chairs. do u have a 8 foot tall guy walk into ur bar and u have to say "wait a second, we need to get out the big chairs" and then drag out a chair twice ur size? is that the case EVERYWHERE? or do some places not have big chairs so if ur extremely large u just have to sit in a chair thats too small for u.. or maybe u just sit on the floor. or stand.

that scene in sabaody of usopp asking rayleigh if the one piece is real, and luffy gets mad and tells usopp that he doesnt want to know, and if he finds out he will quit right now because he wont go on an adventure that isnt any fun. luffy is such a chill, silly captain, that im sure him snapping like that must be scary. usopp looked so shocked. i love their relationship. i think moments like that. really solidify how real the characters feel. like yeah, they have strong, defined morals. and they will argue and be childish and yell for the sake of their morals. i feel like a lot of media has characters with morals but it doesn't ever show them actually disagreeing with someone. let alone a friend. idk im not wording this great but i think this moment is so good. i love the moments of childishness in one piece. its very humanizing to have immaturity in ur characters

i have an art degree and tbh i support law and his human sculptures wholeheartedly. its very dada of him imo. but abstract art seems more up his alley. regardless i know some of my professors would have been like “live human sculpture…wow…that is so Art” very marina abromavic of him as well. but um yeah he should still go to therapy tho. yea

fire emblem engage

tumblr is the perfect place to rant about this so here i go

first of all, i suppose i’ll start with the things i DO like. because there are some nice things!! not all hope is lost!! but there are also a lot of. not good design choices.

first off, colgate-chan is really growing on me actually. at least the m!version. still kind of a terrible design idea, but he does look very pretty in the cutscenes

other designs that i like are: all of brodia(?) tbh. i think they’re the best out of what was shown

i like his little :3 face

this bitch seems insufferable but also he’s hot so he can have a pass for now

OBVIOUSLY EVIL but also. one of the better designs.

RED MAN ALSO HAS ROY WHICH IS A WIN.

anyway. now onto the bad. which. unfortunately i think outweighs a lot of the good done.

there’s the ~obviously evil~ kingdom that worships the dark dragon which is pretty run of the mill fire emblem story. i don’t have a problem with that, but i DO have a problem with their designs. the main villain is just an evil old man which, again, is not the issue here bc sometimes you just need Evil Old Man.

THESE THREE. the middle one makes me visibly shake with anger. the two on the side look like they belong in a fire emblem game, but ms cotton candy clown in the middle (who also seems to be the leader) is just. oh my god. what is that. who that was a good idea. she’s a pegknight too which just. why throw that onto a horse. that seems like clipping hell to me, but what do i know right

she also looks like she’s 13 and just. i dont know. she seems so out of place over the top anime and i want to destroy her

these four. while they aren’t the worst their freaky ass models look like they’re walking through pudding and the girls are just really over the top (not that the two dudes aren’t either. also thank you at least for the man titty window too)

not a huge issue with this one but what’s with the cheek marks in this game. uwu we’re original vtubers do not steal

as a friend said: “excited for black people but what are they wearing” because fire emblem, what the FUCK is this. she could be cute but instead you put her in a clown ass outfit and i hate you so much.

her too. honestly 90% of the girls look anime and bad and it just makes me sad. they look like the belong in hololive which, the designer IS a vtuber designer but. it just seems out of place. they don’t feel like fire emblem. they don’t feel cohesive. i get that there’s different countries but this just feels so over the top and forced ~recognizable design~ that i just. can’t like it. also, a lot of the girls look like they’re maybe 16 max. i think it’s just the style but i am really not a fan of the “uwu moe” anime girl style and i don’t like it when it’s brought into fire emblem (looking at you, heroes)

ntm the whole issue of bringing back the old lords. they look so out of place next to some of these characters, little bubblegum clown has lucina next to her. which they are from different games, yes, but it just. really makes them stand out more than they need to. i don’t know. plus, why even have them? what is the point? what is the story? we have a game where you can play with the old lords (heroes). why do we need heroes for the switch.

another small gripe is that the trailer shows a bunch of lords but once again four is given the short end of the stick and not shown at all. i think every other game besides fates/three houses got some sort of representation but again, jugdral as a whole is completely ignored bc nintendo does not like to recognize them unless they are forced to :’)

i’ll still probably get a game bc i am a whore for fire emblem, but i have to say i’m REALLY disappointed by the character designs. they’re not all bad, but the ones that are bad are BAD and they really bring the game down as a whole.

tl:dr; i love fire emblem but these designs are an incohesive tire fire and it brings down what could be a really pretty game. time will tell how the story is, but i’m honestly going in with low expectations

This is a list of facts and fun facts about Deuce! This list is based on true facts only and any observations I've made, however observations can be subjective, so those will be labeled properly! Let's start off with some facts already in the wiki :)

Used to have over 30 gang members following him at age 14-15. (You'd think that him being so young would make him like a lackey but no he was the boss)

Has a thing for summoning cauldrons since he was young, but apparently you need to have a large amount of magic capabilities to summon objects, so [observation] deuce may actually be extremely powerful bc he was able to summon things at a young age, but he hasn't refined his powers yet so he still seems weak compared to a lot of the cast

During his delinquent phase, apparently he had a really wild hairstyle and he used his magic on people weaker than him

[Observation] Deuce is actually pretty good at lying. In his Halloween card he was able to put up a good act and deceive some of his ex gang members into following him into the forest before mildly roughing them up (keep in mind that he has not had contact with these ppl for at least a year, yet somehow he was able to assert enough authority to tell them to follow him. Also, he thought of this plan on the spot, and acted malicious enough so that the gang members would believe in him—which proves that he's not only quick witted but a convincing actor, as Jamil actually believed his act for a while)

It's implied that he and Ace are often in leadership positions, as they helped to lead heartslabyul in designing their Halloween booth, but they also mentioned that it was much easier compared to organizing unbirthday parties

[Observation] despite wanting to be an honor student, Deuce is still able to take unjustly means to achieve his goals (EX. Making a deal with Azul to pass his test), in general, deuce doesn't care too much about the method, be it through cheating or violence to get to his goal, but he does value a fair battle

[Observation] a lot of Deuce's strengths are subtle as we are frequently told abt how much of a bad student he is, but if u rly think abt it, deuce is put in leadership positions a lot, he's good a memorization and small technical details, he can be at times quick witted and deceiving, and he has the potential to be extremely powerful in magic. In conclusion Deuce is a menace and once we find out what his unique magic is I'm 100.01% sure he will become a greater menace and I think he should fight a lot of people and win

BEEF Clapping hands sign STEW Clapping hands sign he also like sweets, pastries and candies and whatnot 4. breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snacks - which do they look forward to the most? dinner cause he imagines it as a family meal, and also it's the heartiest meal 5. do they have a food or flavor they absolutely hate? bland things like.. boiled green beans.. like.. wet tasteless vegetables.. he is not a fan but who is tbh 6. can they tolerate spicy food? yeah! he likes some good heat in his meals 7. what is their favorite animal? YES! it could seem like he's talking to baby, but really... she can be asleep or somewhere else and he's just still talking to himself. who else does he have to talk to?! let him live. 24. do they enjoy music? what kind? tbh he probably enjoys "old timey" music he found in the ancient city so like.. synth pop LMAO 25. do they make friends easily? yes! surprisingly, from his popularity in the town. he had a bad first impression whoops. but he's just very charming and sweet and wants to be your friend. 26. surprise birthday party! how do they react? crying. happy crying. but a lot of crying. he won't stop. please stop crying hana. second surprise party would go over better, he'd just cry at the beginning and then have fun at the party. 27. what is their favorite flower, if they have one? hydrangea.. symbolize heartfelt emotions 28. how does your character feel about wearing jewelry? neutral? i like putting him in a lot of jewelry, but it's not something he'd do himself. besides like. his ear and nose piercings (and the other one lol) those are kind of special. he's had those since before he can remember 29. if they wear jewelry, what's their favorite piece? his teal earrings! he was gifted those (one of the like 2 gifts he's received lol) by someone very important to him 30. fashion forward or fashion disaster? fashion neutral? he's definitely not fashionable when he dresses himself (in the clothes he made himself lmao) but he's not like.. offensively disastrous 31. what kind of underwear does your character wear? boxer briefs? for comfort. that's hana's goal picking out his own clothes. comfort. 32. do they wear makeup? what kind? not regularly but he's not against it. he likes looking pretty. he likes eyeliners especially but will sit there and let u put whatever on his face. 33. do they paint their nails? HELL YEAH he paints his toenails since he works with his hands and it'd chip off. after bath nail painting time. paints baby's claws too. 34. are they quick to get haircuts or do they often let it grow out? after his introduction to the townspeople with his hair that had been grown out for years and NOT well taken care of.. he keeps up with haircuts now. he doesn't want to give people reasons to dislike him lmao 35. do they know how to whistle? through the front gap in his fangs yes 36. or how to braid hair? he knows how to braid his own hair for sure. he hasn't had other hair to practice on but he would know how to braid like.. leather cord or stuff for other crafts projects. so i think he'd be good at it. he'd learn like fancy patterns and such 37. are they scared if anything in nature - bugs, snakes, lightning, being on the water, etc.? lightning and storms definitely. he spent his formative years under a mountain, safe from all that, any sort of dangerous weather freaks him out. 38. have they ever thought they were about to die? not that he remembers. but there were times. 39. how do they react to getting sick? a big baby. snuggled up in a thousand blankets with chicken noodle soup and hot teas. 40. are they afraid of blood? not especially? he's been injured before and had to patch himself up. bad injuries tho... lots of blood..... he wouldn't do great with that. 41. how do they earn money? hana builds and repairs stuff for the town mostly in exchange for produce and such. he doesn't really.. have money. 42. are they satisfied with their occupation or long to do something else? he enjoys helping people, so in that way he's satisfied. he'd rather people were more interested in his side job of repairing old tech and making his own tech stuff but... that's not legal. 43. how creative are they? quite creative! he has a number of different crafting hobbies and is always looking for more. he's not great at like.. like if you gave him a paintbrush and were like 'paint' he would just paint whatever was in front of him. not some imagined thing. 44. do they know how to draw? how skilled are they? he's good at like.. accurately drawn schematics? technical drawings. i dont think he would be great at like. portraits tho. like. he could probably draw an accurate face but it'd like completely lifeless. 45. what do they carry around with them during the day (ie in their pockets, a bag, a purse...) 1) a baby 2) his tablet, that's what's with him all the time.. except rn in the story.. when he is without both.. :( 46. do they have a sweet tooth? OH YEAH. he doesn't get a lot of sweets where he is (he's working on learning how to bake them) so he really enjoys good sweets when he gets his hand on them 47. haute cuisine or cheap eats? hana likes good homemade food, i guess cheap eats would be the closer of the two 48. do they know how to swim? HONESTLY.. PROBABLY NOT.. boy has not been around water much 49. do they have any scars? how did they get them? nah! at this point he is more or less scar free. i'm sure he has a few tiny ones from like.. when baby was playing a bit too wildly or something and he got a nasty little scratch but nothing like... big. 50. what kind of handwriting do they have? neat, messy, cursive, MESSY. like a kid who was never really taught how to write. he usually writes on his tablet, which has been taught how to recognize his handwriting and converts it to readable text.

BON:

bon can be hard so on questions where it's not really applicable now (like.. favorite foods and the like), i'll just go with what WOULD have been the case. when he was younger. 1. what's their favorite beverage - alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic? flavored sparkling waters, he likes the bubbles. he likes high alcohol content drinks, so it does its job. 2. what's their favorite flavor? (spicy, sweet, sour, etc.) he likes fresh, citrus-y flavors, whatever category that slots into. 3. what's their favorite food? THE ALL POWERFUL ORANGE, a good orange is a treat for bon 4. breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snacks - which do they look forward to the most? snacks, cause he can generally eat them alone and not be judged 5. do they have a food or flavor they absolutely hate? puddings and yogurts and stuff like that, soft foods 6. can they tolerate spicy food? a fair amount, but he does have limits (he will not admit it) 7. what is their favorite animal? farm animals, especially working animals, they're nice and usually calm, bon likes that 8. what do they wear to bed? either whatever he's wearing at the time he knocks out or nothin 9. what position do they like to sleep in? huddled in a corner 10. are they a morning person or a night owl? BOTH! he's not a sleeper. if you find him sleeping its because he was probably up the past 3+ days and he just knocked out. 11. are they a heavy sleeper or do they wake up easily? if he's sleeping cause he hadn't slept the past week, he doesn't wake up easily, but if it's a purposeful rest he wakes up to a pin dropping. also re: bon sleeping, he technically can go without sleep indefinitely but he has to go into his lava form to kinda.. refresh his stats so to speak 12. it's a rainy day, what will they do cooped up inside all day? pre-incident: read! study! practice magic. post-incident: think about mortality and stare at a wall 13. do they have a favorite scent or smell? fresh air on a cool day. but he's also nostalgic about the stink smell of a tavern. 14. what do they smell like? do they wear perfume or cologne? ash and smoke. and on special days ;) burnt flesh ;) he doesn't wear perfume or cologne, he just smells weird all the time. 15. baths or showers? showers, a quick spray down and then he's out of the water as quick as possible. 16. how good are they at cooking? QUITE! bon can cook and he can cook good. he's stayed with a lot of families over the years and learned a lot of good tricks and recipes, plus what he learned from when he was growing up and would somewhat regularly cook for himself. 17. what's their favorite time of year and why? summer. he does well in the heat. also the days are longest. bon likes it when it's light out. 18. do they have a favorite holiday? bon doesn't like holidays! cause holidays come with traditions. and traditions come with expectations. and expectations come with punishments. 19. do they prefer buying or receiving gifts? giving, i guess? receiving gifts can come with a price. but it's nice to give a gift and know you expect nothing in return. 20. how tall are they, and how do they feel about their height? bonk is 5'9", he's fine with it 21. can they play any instruments? YES!!! he can play a variety, his favorites are harp and fiddle, though he also can play a mean flute, though that was mostly from his upbringing so he doesn't like it all too much 22. do they have a nice singing voice? YES!!!!! he has a most beautiful voice. he can rouse a room with a good folk song or bring a room to tears with a mournful ballad 23. do they talk to themselves? ahahaha yes. we have already seen this in comic. bon struggles with differentiating between reality and his.. imagination i guess. so. that can often lead to him just talking to himself. 24. do they enjoy music? what kind? yes! bon enjoys all sorts of music, but mostly songs you can sing along to. bar songs, shanties, ballads, he enjoys them all. he like songs that have an emotion to them if that makes sense. 25. do they make friends easily? NO. bon is both unfriendly and untrusting. however. if you are nice to him but once........... he Will die for you. and he will die for any child. loves childs. 26. surprise birthday party! how do they react? POORLY. either confused why people thought it would be a fun idea or angry that he was caught off guard. now... if you do it right..... have the surprise just be like.. a cake waiting at home or something.. a quiet night.. he will appreciate it. he Will die for you. 27. what is their favorite flower, if they have one? daffodil.. rebirth.. eternal life.. unrequited love.. perfect 28. how does your character feel about wearing jewelry? he's not a huge fan tbh. makes him feel like someone's shiny show piece. but he does like an earring or two or three 29. if they wear jewelry, what's their favorite piece? he doesn't wear jewelry regularly :( but he likes earrings! he likes little hoops that go on the top of his big ears 30. fashion forward or fashion disaster? more fashion forward than a disaster. he doesn't dress himself like.. super well.. cause his clothing tends to not last super long, but he knows how to look good 31. what kind of underwear does your character wear? YES! quite a few times, though not anymore lmao. one of the first times he ran away from home and nearly starved to death, the... incident, and when he was turned into a basbeo, just to name a few 39. how do they react to getting sick? pretending like he's not. pushing himself too hard until he cannot pretend anymore. nowadays tho.. he just turn into lava man and boom. all better. 40. are they afraid of blood? nah, he's seen plenty of it by this point to just not even register it. not even mostly his own! see this isn't a sad answer. 41. how do they earn money? HE DON'T! what use does a dog have for money u feel me 42. are they satisfied with their occupation or long to do something else? bon was basically a travelling bard at one point and oh boy he longs to go back to those days. his current occupation of 'guy who steals, kidnaps, murders and destroys on command' just isn't fulfilling for him. 43. how creative are they? i'd say pretty creative. he's not really doing anything with it right now, but he's a pretty imaginative guy. 44. do they know how to draw? how skilled are they? i think so! i figure that would be part of his lessons when he was younger. so he's probably.. too good at it. opposite of hana, where he's be good at portraiture and like.. pretty scenes. this also makes me think of little bon running around and putting lil devil horns on his mom's portraits 45. what do they carry around with them during the day (ie in their pockets, a bag, a purse...) doesn't really have.. a lot of things.. in the same vein tho, that jacket he wears, he's had for a while, and it's been through a lot now (i.e. the missing bottom) but. it's something he repairs and takes care of. it's special to him. for reasons. 46. do they have a sweet tooth? not especially, he doesn't like Sugar Sweet stuff, but he does like.. apples n stuff. he'll eat a peach croissant and enjoy it. everything in balance. 47. haute cuisine or cheap eats? cheap eats: more food for less 48. do they know how to swim? yes but he doesn't do it anymore cause he'll get too cold and seize up and lava man will just become a rock. he can use like.. hot tubs and very warm baths. he CAN enjoy those. 49. do they have any scars? how did they get them? well! bon had scars previous to his charred limbs (you'll see them soon) from being burned. because of.. reasons. i never know how depressing to get when talking about bon :( anyways, his charred limbs didn't happen immediately after becoming a basbeo. it basically happens when there's like.. a struggle for control between bon, his elemental, and who or whatever (maighstir, priomh, tera, his cuffs, etc.) is trying to control bon's transformation abilities. like either trying to use more power than he's being allowed, or to resist using it at all. they feel weird and crusty and leathery and warm! so the last one is kind of nice. it is unpleasant to hold his hand. 50. what kind of handwriting do they have? neat, messy, cursive, BOY CAN'T WRITE ANYMORE! he used to have really neat cursive handwriting like.. calligraphy style.

So i got a stupid idea for a request but ima do it anyway. Could you write something based of house of memories by patd? I see songs in your requests so i figured this one might fit the theme. Basically reader went missing when they were younger and dib spent alot of time and research trying to find them then years later finds their ghost in a worn down home and its just big angst time because i like crying. Sorry if this request is weird you obviously dont have to do it if you dont want to 👓💙

Now I hope you don’t mind but I’m going to make Dib a few years older in this fic (Think 15-16 years old).

Be warned: This fic will be dealing with death! Bring some tissues because it’s time for another feels trip!

It’s been over 3 years since the day you vanished and Dib hadn’t known peace since.

You were his only real friend he ever had. You didn’t think he was weird nor creepy. You loved the paranormal just as much, if not more than he did! You loved coming up with crazy ways to expose Zim and other paranormal pests. Especially ghosts. Oh how you loved ghosts.

Dib also remembered how you would always stick up for him whenever he got bullied and you would even vouch for him whenever an attempt to expose Zim failed.

You were the only person who truly understood him.

When Gaz told him that you were gone, Dib laughed it off and assumed she was just trying to mess with him.

However, after repeating herself (and a kick to his shin) Dib finally believed her.

Needless to say, Dib was devastated!

His only friend was gone! He couldn’t live without you! No!

He wouldn’t live without you.

From that day fourth, Dib vowed to find you no matter what it took!

He would spend the rest of his days cooped up in his room, only leaving to shower, eat, and go to Skool. (he didn’t want to become a chair again.)

Clembrane would bring him some pudding every once in a while but Dib would normally refuse.

Soon the real Professor Membrane became more and more worried about his poor, insane son.

He would often send Gaz to check up on him but she usually didn’t care. She simply lied and said Dib was fine.

Until Dib’s occasional sobbing was disrupting her Gameslave.

“Dib! Keep it down! I’m trying to beat my high score!” Gaz snapped as she burst through his door.

Dib was too distraught to acknowledge her.

“Where are you, Y/N?! I’ve looked everywhere I possibly could! The high Skool, your old house, even that witchcraft store at the mall you loved so much! Where have you gone?! Why didn’t you take me with you?” Dib blubbered as he put his head down on his desk.

“Dib! Let it go already! Y/N’s been gone a long time. As far as we know they’re probably gone for good.” Gaz sighed as she folded her arms.

“That’s not true! Y/N Has to bee still out there! They would never abandon me!” Dib roared as he whipped around to face Gaz.

“Dib, Y/N is dead ok?!” Gaz confessed.

Dib looked like had just been stabbed in the chest.

“How could you say that, Gaz?! Y/N can’t be dead! They just can’t be!” Dib wailed as he grabbed the sides of his head.

“Y/N has been dead for over 3 years now! We never told you because Dad didn’t want you to raise the dead again!” Gaz snapped.

“No! You’re lying! Y/N is still alive! I know it!” Dib insisted as more tears fell from his eyes.

“Dib, the only way Y/N could still be around is if they were a ghost or something.” Gaz grumbled as she opened an eye.

“Wait! Gaz! That’s it!” Dib’s eyes lit up as he wiped away his tears.

“What’s it?”

“Y/N loved ghosts! I remember that we would always check out this one abandoned house in the woods that was said to be full of them! That must be where Y/N is! Why didn’t I think of looking there sooner?!” Dib let out a crazed laugh as he sprung from his chair.

“Whatever, just keep it down!” Gaz grumbled as she went back to her room.

“Don’t worry, Y/N! I’ll find you!” Dib announced as he pulled out his ghost hunting gear.

After getting suited up, Dib rushed out the door and headed for the woods.

“If you’re a lover you should know, the lonely moments just get lonelier the longer you’re in love than if you were alone.” Dib sang as he pulled out an old map he made with you to find your way to the house.

“Memories turn into day dreams, become a taboo!” Dib turned on the flashlight attached his ghost hunting goggles.

“I don’t want to be afraid, the deeper that I go, it takes my breath away. Soft hearts electric souls.” Dib sang as he cautiously waded through the dying trees.

“Heart to heart and eyes to eyes.” Dib pulled out his phone and gazed at a picture of you.

Dib could’ve sworn he saw two glowing blue eyes leering at him from the shadows.

“Is this taboo?”

Dib shook his head and the eyes had vanished.

“Baby, we built this house on memories! Take my picture now! Shake it till you see it!” Dib pulled out the map again and shook out the creases.

“And when your fantasies become your legacy,” Dib lovingly stroked the doodle you drew of yourself holding a cage with a cute little ghost inside.

“Promise me a place, in your house of memories!” Dib put the map away and continued his journey.

FWISH!

The wind howled as fallen leaves swirled behind Dib. The glowing eyes seemed to follow him but Dib didn’t seem to notice.

“I think of you from time to time, more than I thought I would.” Dib closed his eyes as his mind traveled to the past for a moment

“You were just too kind and I was too young to know.”

He remembered how you comforted him after Zim started mocking him.

“That’s all that really matters”

Dib could still feel your warm arms wrap around him and hold him tight.

“I was a fool”

He then remembered how you got sent to detention for punching Zim in the face.

Just like that, the memories faded away as Dib’s eyes opened once more.

“Baby, we built this house, on memories. Take my picture now, shake it till you see it!” Dib sang as he pulled out the map again.

Dib could’ve sworn he heard heavy breathing but turned his focus back to the map.

“And when your fantasies become your legacy,” Dib gave the map a hug.

“Promise me a place, in your house of memories!” Dib looked up from the map and noticed he had reached the house.

“Yes!” He cheered as he put the map away and went inside.

The glowing eyes followed his every move but Dib didn’t seem to notice. All that mattered to him was finding you.

He felt his heart pound in his chest as his footsteps made the worn floorboards creak.

“C’mon, Y/N….Where are you.” He whispered as he continued his search.

Suddenly, he heard the sound of your voice faintly echoing in the distance.

“Those thoughts of my past lover will always haunt me! I wish I could believe you’d never wrong me!” Dib followed the sound as more tears fell from his eyes.

Dib kept running and running as your voice grew louder and louder.

“Then you will remember me in the same way, as I remember you….” Suddenly Dib stopped dead in his tracks,

He had indeed found you but you did not look like the same Y/N he once knew. What floated before him was something he hoped he would never see. You had become the very thing you vowed to capture.

You had become a ghost.

Dib let out a scream and backed away from you.

“N-No! Y/N! It can’t be!” Dib fell to his knees and covered his mouth.

You floated down and kneeled beside him.

“Baby we built this house, on memories. Take my picture now, shake it till you see it.” You sang softly.

Dib looked up at you and sniffled.

“And when your fantasies become your legacy promise me a place…”

You used your ghostly energy to gently lift him up and gave him a warm smile.

Dib gasped but his fears melted away when he realized that while you had indeed changed,

You were still the same Y/N he knew and loved.

“Baby we built this house on memories. Take my picture now, Shake it till you see it.” Your voices melted together as you used your ghostly energy to help Dib dance with you.

“And when your fantasies become your legacy! Save me a place in your house of memories!” You and Dib sang together as your blue ghostly energy swirled around him.

Dib tried to reach out for you but you seemed to be avoiding his touch as the haunted dance went on.

“Save me a place…” Dib fought against your energy and tried to pull you into a warm embrace.

You gasped and tried to avoid him but it was too late.

The moment his body made contact with your ghostly one, your body vanished into wisps of blue smoke.

“In your house of memories?” Dib’s eyes widened as his mind slowly realized what just happened.

Dib fell to his knees and tears begun to pour down his face.

Suddenly, Dib felt something grab him from behind.

Dib let out a shriek but quickly caught his breath when he saw who was behind him.

“Dad? What are you doing here?!” Dib squeaked.

“I saw you running out of the house and wanted to make sure you weren’t trying to raise the dead again.” Professor Membrane explained as he lowered the brightness of his flashlight goggles.

“Don’t worry I wasn’t. I was just trying to find something. That’s all” Dib muttered as he hung his head low.

“Oh, is that all? Well, did you find what you were looking for?” Professor Membrane inquired.

“I guess I did….”

Slow and Steady

Alright, so I decided to write a Sanji x Nami fanfiction. If you guys like it I’ll continue the story. As the name suggests, this is gonna be a slow burn kind of story. However, it will likely eventually turn into smut lol I hope you guys like it! Im open to contructive criticism. I haven’t written anything in 7 years. They also might be a bit OOC. The last fanfic I wrote was when I was 16 for a completely different fandom. I may also change the title later on, and I’ll be uploading this to fanfiction.net later. Anyways, here you go!

Waves crashed loudly against the bow of the Sunny. It was a starry cold night out on the seas of the Grand Line. Nami, being on watch for the night, sat wistfully peering over the seemingly black abyss of the sea, only illuminated by the moonlight.

She leaned over the crows nest, arms crossed and eyes half lidded, reflecting back on their time in Whole Cake. How they barely managed to escape with their lives intact, and just how much sheer luck played into their escape.

She had no idea how they managed to get out of there. The Yonko were no joke, clearly. Not as if any of their adventures had ever been easy, but this one was clearly took the cake for barely making it out alive.

Her thoughts were interrupted as she heard a faint creaking of a door opening and dim light pouring in from behind her. She peered over to see none other than the curly cook himself, carrying a platter of various fruits along with a fancy glass full of juice, adorned with tangerines on the edges.

"Nami-San~" he mouthed to her, waving and smiling. He couldn't call out to her, given it was so late into the night.

Nami smiled, waving back at him. Knowing that the fruit and juice were clearly meant for her. "He really can be such a sweetheart." She thought to herself. "Not that I'd ever tell him that." She mused, knowing full well how it would send him into full-blown tornado mode.

Sanji made his way up the ladder, balancing the plate and glass ever so diligently on top of his head as he climbed. Nami stifled a giggle, seeing how goofy he looked.

Finally reaching the nest, he took the plate and glass from his head and bowed to her, hand over his heart and eyes closed with a big grin.

"A late night snack, for our beautiful navigator." He stated suavely.

Nami smiled and rolled her eyes, taking the glass. Sanji placed the plate on top of stool.

"Thank you, Sanji-Kun." she said, taking a delighted sip of her juice. Freshly squeezed Mikan, straight from her tangerine trees. A taste she would never get tired of.

He smiled, always so happy to see her enjoying the confections he makes.

Looking closer at his face, she could tell he was rather worn out. Heavy lines beneath his eyes. Who could blame him after everything that went down in the past few days?

"If you'll excuse me, Nami-San." He stated, turning around to climb back down the ladder.

"Wait, Sanji-Kun." Nami stated. He peered back, a curious look in his eye.

"Would you like to stay for a while?" She asked, careful how she worded her request.

Sanji blinked, and then grinned. Little hearts starting to form out of the billowing smoke of his cigarette.

"I would love to accompany you, my lovely beautiful Nami-San!" Sanji exclaimed, still careful not to be too loud. Not that anyone could hear them from that high up, plus the sounds of the waves.

"Drop the flattery already." Nami said sternly. Still, she felt a warm pang in her heart as he said it.

"Alright, alright." He chuckled, leaning over the nests railing with her.

"If you dont mind me asking Nami-San, what's on your mind?" He asked, taking out his custom lighter and another cigarette.

She glanced over to him, raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" She asked. Had he been able to read her that easily?

"Well, you're leaned over staring off into the distance with a far-away look in your eyes. Somethings gotta be on your mind, right?" Sanji asked, lifting the cigarette to his lips and inhaling as the tiny flame touched the paper.

Nami sighed, fog lifting from the heat of her breath. Of course he would notice. Observation Haki and all.

"We barely made it off of whole cake alive. It just bothers me to think that if even one small thing went wrong, we would all be at the mercy of a Yonko." She revealed, exasperation lining every word.

Sanji listened, opting not to interrupt her and fixating on her face as she spoke.

"And then there was how we almost lost you." Nami said, sorrow in her voice. Her lips tightened as she clenched her teeth slightly.

Sanji looked down, seeing the pained look on her face. "There it is again. The guilt.." He thought, chastising himself for the thousandth time that day for making his friends all worry and risk their lives to save him.

"Nami-San...I'm Sor-"

"Sanji-Kun, you dont need to apologize." Nami reiterated. "I know you didn't really have a choice in the matter. We all know. All of us would've done the same thing you did had we been in your position." She stated.

Sanji cast his sight downward. He knew she was right. Hell, they already had a few friends try to sacrifice themselves to protect the rest of the crew. And she was one of them.

Sanji let out a huff of air, smiling weakly.

"I guess we're in the same boat, huh Nami-San?" he said, beginning to stare off into the distance just as she had.

"Well yeah, where do you think we are?" She joked, stretching her arms to gesture the entire ship.

Sanji laughed, breaking from his previous daze. "Oh yeah! I forgot! My bad." he joked.

They laughed together for a moment, and looked back out to sea. Not saying anything to each other for a few minutes. Just listening to the sounds of the waves.

Sanji stole glances at Nami, noting how she looked especially beautiful that night. Her hair glowing in the moonlight, how her eyes reflected their surroundings, how her breath left her lips and floated away into the chilly night air.

At this point, he was just gazing at her. Unable to keep a smile from forming on his lips. He couldn't bring himself to look away even if he tried.

Nami glanced over to him, noticing how he was practically looking into her soul. She felt her heart skip a beat as their eyes met. She managed to look away after a few seconds.

He felt as though his heart melted in those few seconds.

"...Hey, Sanji-Kun. Can I ask you a question?" Nami requested.

Sanji snapped out of his daze. "Y-yes Nami-san?" he managed to stutter out.

"When you were going to be married off to Pudding, we heard you turned her down because you still had adventures with us to go on. Is that true?" she probed.

Sanji raised an eyebrow. "Well, I didn't tell her that at all." he stated. "But she's not entirely wrong."

Nami glared at him, just ever so slightly. "So does that mean that you did want to marry her?" she continued to probe.

Sanji huffed. "No, not in the slightest. Don't get me wrong, she was pretty and all, but I'd never want to marry anyone that I barely know." He asserted. "Especially if it's not even my own choice."

"So do you ever want to get married?" Nami inquired.

"Where is all this coming from? Nami isn't normally the type to discuss anything like this." Sanji thought. Was she secretely a romantic just like him?

Taking in another lung-full of smoke, he exhaled.

"At some point, I do want to get married. But right now isn't the time. We still have way too many adventures to go on. Maybe some time after I find All Blue." Sanji said tiredly, trying not to think too hard on it.

Nami looked somewhat confused at the cook. What with all his proclamations of love, she'd assumed he'd be willing to tye the knot at any time. Only to find out they share common ground in that area as well.

"Well, I guess we really are in the same boat." she reiterated.

"Making the same joke twice, are we?" Sanji said, a smug look plastered on his face.

"Yeah, so what?" Nami retorted, playfully snatching his cigarette from his lips and taking in a lung-full of the smoke, looking him dead in the eye as she did so.

"N-Nami-San?!" Sanji exclaimed. His brain felt like it was malfunctioning.

He was somewhere between being worried for her health, and finding her smoking the cigarette he just had between his lips the sexiest thing he had ever seen.

Sanji gulped. "Its like an i-indirect k-kiss" he thought. With that realization, he clenched his nose between his thumb and index finger as hard as he could to keep most of his blood intact. Still not being able to keep some of it from leaking out.

Nami giggled watching him lose his mind over something so small. "You gonna be alright over there?" She teased at him, taking the stick from her lips to pop a tangerine slice into her mouth.

Sanji took a few deep breaths before he could speak again. "Nami-Saaan...Are you trying to kill me?" He whined. He could be sent into orbit via nosebleed if she kept this up.

"Hey, it's you're own fault for being such a pervert." Nami said bluntly.

Sanji sighed. "Oi. For one, I've been like this for as long as I can remember. Two, if you wanted a cigarette you could've just asked." He said taking out another to replace the one she stole.

"Now that I think of it, his brother's were the exact same way. Maybe it really isn't entirely his fault" Nami thought. She wasn't about to give him any slack though.

She turns to face him and points the stick towards him.

"You know I can't just ask for things. I have to steal them. I am a thief afterall." She stated.

"That's our Nami-San" Sanji said, smiling as he lit up his third cigarette. "So uh, what exactly compelled you to try smoking?" He asked, still puzzled as to why she wanted to wreck her lungs as he had.

Nami smiled as a memory of Bellmere-San etched itself into her mind. She didn't normally speak so freely about her feelings, but she supposed she was feeling generous tonight. Either that, or it was just because of him.

"My mom used to be a chain smoker." She said, pausing as she wondered if she should continue. "Whenever I smell cigarette smoke, I get this calm feeling washing over me. It's not a good thing to be nostalgic over, but I dont care. It almost makes me feel as though she's still her with me." Nami said, a small smile on her face. "Other than that, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about." She finished.

Sanji studied her features as she spoke. He'd expected her to look more sad, however she wore a content smile. "Does that mean she feels relaxed around me?" A warm feeling spread through his chest at the thought.

"So, what do you think?" He inquired.

In response to his question she took another drag, wanting to be sure of her thoughts on it.

"Well, it tastes pretty terrible. But the taste of the fruit is sorta helping. Other than that, it feels very relaxing." She said, blowing more smoke out into the air.

"God she looks so beautiful.." He thought, admiring the way her lips pursed outward as she exhaled. He so badly wanted to tell her how gorgeous it made her look, abstaining only out of fear that she would send him away.

"Try not to start, alright? We don't need Chopper hounding both of us about it. Besides, if he sees you smoking I'll be the first one he comes after." Sanji stated, the image of a very angry Chopper towering over him in his "Heavy Point" form.

He made a good point. She recalled how Chopper would endlessly berate him for smoking during each physical.

"Yeah, it's definitely not worth it." She agreed, putting out the nearly finished cigarette.

"Definitely. Trust me, I wish I hadn't started but I'm already too far gone." Sanji said, remembering how he started smoking as a kid to try to look more mature. "I was such a dumb kid."

Nami glanced over his way, trying not to look too hard. He really was very handsome. He changed quite a bit in the two years they were separated. He was much more muscular, his jawline was more defined and his hair had gotten longer.

And his lips looked so soft.

She quickly realized she had been looking a little too long, as Sanji clearly noticed. A faint blush spread across her cheeks. She quickly looked away, but realized she had already been caught.

Sanji felt his breath hitch as he caught her eyes on him. With a look of what was clearly, unmistakably desire in her eyes.

Sanji was no idiot. He had always been extremely perceptive of other people's emotions. Changes in breathing, eye movement, muscle movement. He was able to read all of it with pinpoint accuracy. Even before honing his observation haki, his ability to read people and situations were always exceptional.

"At this point, I dont care if she hits me, or sends me off. It's my turn to tease her." He thought, approaching her with his newfound confidence.

He leaned over close to her ear, whispering in the sexiest tone he could muster:

"You know, Nami-San... I don't mind if you look. I enjoy having your eyes on me."

His voice set something off inside her. His breath tickled against her ear, feeling as if electricity had run down her spine. The faint pink blush she wore only a few seconds prior immediately turned scarlet.

She'd halfway had the urge to turn around and pretend like she hadn't been looking at all. But she knew that wouldn't work. Her reaction had been way too noticeable.

Nami turned towards him and looked into his deep blue eyes.

Sanji returned her stare. He quickly realized how close their faces were and felt his heartbeat speed up exponentially.

"Sanji-Kun...I need to ask you something." Nami said, still staring deeply into his soul.

"Y-Yes, Nami-San?" Sanji uttered, swallowing hard after. He could feel heat spreading across his own face.

She stayed silent for a moment, attempting to garner the confidence to ask.

"Do you think....you could ever love just one woman?" Nami asked, crossing her arms against herself. She'd often found herself enjoying Sanji's advances, but didn't want to act on her desire up until recently.

Almost losing him made her realize just how much she felt for him. And it bothered her to no end. Sanji would swoon and fawn over every pretty woman he'd seen. She really didn't know if he could just love only one.

Sanji found himself floored at her question. He wondered if this was just another cruel dream he would eventually wake up from.

Still, dream or not, he still had to try.

"Nami-San...before I answer your question, I feel that I should clarify something to you." He said, looking into her eyes with hard conviction.

"I do swoon over women. However, I don't "love" them. It's just my way of showing my appreciation and respect for them, despite how ridiculous I may look. That aspect of me will never change" He explained. "But...when the woman I love returns my feelings, and accepts me as I am, then yes, I would devote myself to her." Sanji finished, never letting his gaze leave hers.

Nami saw not even a hint of dishonesty in his eyes, and felt nothing but relief wash over her.

"Now, Nami-San....I need to tell you something." Sanji said, breaking their gaze and taking a deep breath before taking her hand in his own and rejoining her gaze.

"Nami-San...I have feelings for you. No woman that I've met so far has made me feel the way that I do about you. So I need to know..if you return those same feelings for me?" Sanji asked, feeling his confidence begin to waver.

There it is again. That warm feeling beginning to spread across her body. Never had she felt this way about anyone in her life. All she knew was that it made her feel content.

"Sanji-Kun...the events that occured over the past few days made me realize something. When you left, I thought I'd never get to see you again. I was devastated at the thought that you might die, and all I could think about was all the times we spent together. The way I was so broken up about you being gone even though you said you'd return, made me realize I care about you so much more than just as a crewmate or friend." Nami said, looking away as her face began to turn scarlet once more.

"Every time you would bring me food, every time you would ask me if I loved you, I would feel something warm in my heart. Something that would make me feel happy. I guess what I'm trying to say is that...I also have feelings for you." Nami finished, being far too flustered to make eye contact.

Sanji's eyes widened at her confession. There was nothing in the world that could ruin the overwhelming joy that came over him. She actually returned the love he felt for her. If this was a dream he prayed that he never wake up.

Sanji wrapped her arms around her, leaving his hands to rest at the small of her back.

"Nami-San, you've made me the happiest man in the world right now." He said, feeling as though he'd never be able to quit smiling.

"Would you be willing to give me a chance to make you happy, Nami-San?" Sanji asked, not sure if she would even be willing to be in a relationship right now. After all, they did still have adventures to go on.

Nami rested her head against his chest, enjoying the scent of his cologne and the feeling of his hardened muscle against her.

"I think...I would like that. But, I wanna take things slow." Nami said, knowing that if they went too fast Sanji would probably die.

"We'll take things as slow as you need, Nami-San." Sanji said, resting his head against hers, enjoying the feel and scent of her light orange hair. He so badly wanted to kiss her, but knew that a nosebleed would probably ruin the moment.

The two embraced for what seemed like hours, relishing in the feeling of each other arms.

Orange light began to peer over the seas, illuminating the blue seas. Sanji felt like cursing time itself for ending their embrace.

"Well, it seems that I'm late for work. Get some sleep Nami-San. I'll be sure to bring you something wonderful to eat later." Sanji said, brushing away her bangs and kissing her forehead.

"Sounds like a good idea. You better hurry, before Luffy wak-"

"Saaannjjiii! Where's the fooood?!?" Sanji heard his captain yell out from the kitchen. Sanji sighed.

"Give me a few minutes, alright?" Sanji yelled back, climbing back down and running into the kitchen before Luffy decided to help himself to whatever was in the kitchen.

Nami laughed, and yawned while climbing down as well. Smiling all the while.

Their character flaw would be dealing with their stubbornness and dealing with their “if its not done right if you dont do it yourself” mentality. Probably involving allocating tasks to others and trusting that they’d do it and Living with it even if it wasnt done how they thought was best. And their reversed would be trying to do everything themself and failing at it and the Devil winning.

Their (and my) patron arcana is the lovers, so we’d probably end up meeting up with two infuriatingly that love and trust are linked and that theres a time to be hardheaded and fighting the devil is not one of them.

Definitely dessert of some kind, Cupcakes decorated with elaborate plant frosting, pudding cup succulent gardens, elaborate ocean themed cake, etc.

Also a mixed alcoholic beverage that’s tasty and strong enough to put even Valerius on his ass, if the occassion calls for it.

16. Does your apprentice enjoy the luxury of the palace and Nadia’s gifts or do they find it overwhelming?

They enjoy the luxury of the space and its facilities, but are a little overwhelmed by some of it. For example, they love the bath’s and how quiet and serene and big the gardens are, and how big the rooms are, and how gorgeous it all is. However, they get overwhelmed easily by being given lavish things. Their ideal life would be to live like they do in the shop but with the space that the palace affords. (More room for hoards of trinkets)

Types of Rice In My Life

Last time, I talked about rice and the important role it played to food not only in my own life but throughout almost all Asian cultures. This time, I want to shed more light on the types of rice I come to know and why I cook with them.

When it comes to my own experience of cooking, particularly with rice, I have known 16 types of rice, so far. I feel that I could never stick to one or two kinds because there are so many types out there, and they each offer their own uniqueness to the culinary world. For example, the taste, the fragrance, the texture and the color are what makes them standout – It’s a beauty! Below are the types of rice I have come to love and cooked with. They’re all different from one another, and I have enjoyed cooking with each one of them. Here they are:

1. Jasmine Rice

2. White Rice (short-grain)

3. Brown Rice (short-grain)

4. Brown Rice (long-grain)

5. Basmati Rice (long-grain)

6. Basmati Rice (super long-grain)

7. Sushi Rice (for sushi making) Japanese

8. Glutinous Rice (long-grain)

9. Glutinous Rice (short-grain)

10. Black Rice (short-grain)

11. Black Rice (long-grain)

12. Arborio Rice (Italian)

13. Patakkadan Matta Rice (red)

14. Par-Boiled Rice (Uncle Ben’s)

15. 12 Grain Rice

Jasmine Rice is the most familiar to me and my Southeast Asian families. The most popular type is the Thai Jasmine Rice and has exported the most to the US and all over the world. In the past, I have cooked with this rice quite a lot. It produces a wonderful floral aroma and the texture is slightly sticky and soft.

White Rice (short-grain) has far more starch than Jasmine Rice. When it’s cooked, it has a soft, moist and sticky texture. I don’t consume this rice too often because it feels heavy on the body. However, I have it in my kitchen for making other dishes with. When making rice noodles, I will use the short-grain, and it’s delicious! Another dish I will use the short – grain rice to make is, “Kua Dis”, or Rice Porridge. Because of the high starch content, it produces a thick and creamy Rice Porridge.

Growing up, my parents would make Rice Porridge for us whenever we were sick or have the flu. We would have to eat the rice porridge for at least 2 days before we were able to eat regular food. I remember, my parents would say that eating “Kua Dis” helps to nourish the sick body. Even today, I have introduced Kua Dis to my kids whenever they are feeling a little under the weather.

Basmati Rice is one of my favorites! It’s a fragrant, nutty-tasting long-grain rice. This rice is grown in the Himalayas and Pakistan. It is long and slender and when it’s cooked, it’s fluffy and not sticky. I usually prepare this rice by soaking in warm water for 10 minutes. Then, cook it in 3 parts rice, 6 parts water. After boiling it for 7 to 8 minutes, it is strained then steamed for 20 minutes. The cooked rice always comes out fluffy and perfect every single time! Basmati Rice can also be cooked in different variations such as Rice Pilaf or Biryani and it’s delicious!

Glutinous (long-grain) Rice is one of my preferred sticky rice to have. It’s called a sticky rice because it sticks together when it has been cooked. I cook this rice almost every other week for my family. It is so fun to eat, especially for little kids, because they can hold it with their hands and eat it just the way it is. As for the short- grain sticky rice, I don’t cook it as much. Although, I will use it to make, “Ncuav” or “Hmong Mochi.” I do have both in my kitchen because they each survive their own purpose.

Black Rice, also known as “Purple Rice” comes in both short-grain and long-grain. This rice is naturally black or is a deep purple (almost black). It is very healthy because it is packed with vitamins and antioxidant. In Southeast Asian cooking, Black Rice is used in many ways, but one way that I am familiar with is using it to dye other foods, particularly rice, to purple. The process is done by cooking 2 parts rice, 4 parts water and bring it to a boil. Strain the purple liquid out and add 3 parts more water and repeat the process; stripping out as much color from the Black Rice as possible. Let the liquid cool and use it to soak the white Glutinous Rice overnight. The next morning, the white rice has turned deep purple and then after steaming the rice, you’ll have purple sticky rice! YUM!

Par-Boiled Rice (I call it Uncle Ben’s Rice) is a type of rice that has been partially boiled in the husk. This process helps make it easier to polish the rice, which is removing the bran layer. It also helps lock in nutrients and make it healthier to consume, which is a plus! My mom loves this rice. It is the only rice she will eat. That’s why I make sure to have it in my kitchen for when she visits.

Arborio Rice is an Italian short – grain rice. The rounded grains are firm, creamy and chewy. It is often used to make risotto and rice pudding. It can also be used to make regular white rice, as well. Although, the rice will be sticky and creamy due to the high starch content.

Patakkadan Matta Rice is the most unique rice I have tasted. Also, it is slightly Par-Boiled, and the grains are a mixture of red and yellow. This rice truly has it’s own distinctive taste and fragrance for sure! This type of rice needs a longer cook time than any other rice. Due to the par-boiled process, it helps to lock in all the essential oils and vitamins, so it’s healthier to consume. This rice is imported from India and it compliments well with curry, lamb and or goat dishes.

That pretty much sums up the story of The Types of Rice in My Life! I really love rice and when I find a type of rice that stands out to me, I will most definitely want to experiment with it. Now, experiment with some of your own rice, if you haven’t done so, and you’ll find what you like and don’t like about it! I hope you have enjoy this blog and let me know what you think!

why did i type this out? its been in my head for quite a while- i belive it works with the canon (correct me if im wrong) and gives a good sense of exactly how poor lowbloods are.

under the cut will be the full breakdown of troll allowances , because there's a lot of text. useful for fantrolls or just general musing.

assume trolls dont need to pay "rent" of any kind.

assume trolls do need to pay for water, electricity, internet. (WEI)

assume no taxes cause why would they need them.

we know the young get carpenter drones to build houses for them.

shelters not an issue for them, so it stands to reason food is the big deciding factor and where young trolls spend most of their money.

(some people think alternia is post scarcity environment. the empire as a whole? sure. but on alternia? artificial scarcity keeps the younglings on their toes. :) )

but where do they get money? the government of course.

each caste gets an allowance per day. helps keep the social order.
