I'm not saying that she's an asshole or abusive for making a cake that was what he asked for plus something he didn't, but it's also incredibly immature to respond to his disappointment (that she inquired about specifically) by saying he liked it before and should be grateful she did anything at all. People are going to have those feelings regardless of if you think that's the appropriate reaction to have about a cake filling (or any kind of gift that's not quite what you wanted), and it's not mature to respond by just saying they should be grateful you gave them anything at all and then refusing to communicate further.

The anatomy of the skeleton is interesting like a raptor with long digits do you kinda just wing it or do you look at specific things for refs?

i can't find the thing rn but she's Really heavily based off this one gif of like... an anime girl catgirl head on a mechanical raptor body. kind of to an embarrassing extent. I like to think she's changed enough that it isn't Super copying at this point...

first time I drew her.... most design changes have been to make it easier and more streamlined to draw. (I still think this looks nice but it's hard to do consistently... There was originally gonna be more flesh and skin on her body but who had time for all that.) I was looking at velociraptor skeletons for a bit too, especially before working on the animatic to try and be more consistent but now I'm usually just doing whatever.

....Don't really remember why her fingers got so long though... praying mantis vibe? yaoi hands? those bird wing type proportions? i don't know but now I'm kind of attached to it...

her head shape was also really inconsistent... now it's more rectangular/vaguely cameralike, hopefully. also ended up getting rid of her little antennae because I'd always forget to draw them. a bit after this I ended up drawing her a lot for an assignment and simplified everything down a lot... so her overall shape got more slim and I settled on specific"rules" (amount of "teeth" she has on her "face" (the grid thing), general neck length... I still draw her super inconsistently but. You know how it is.

NOT IN A SHIP WAY AT ALL THOUGH DO NOT TAG THIS AS SHIP. tbh i just want them to actually fucking talk to each other and maybe even become friends? if that's even possible? like maybe we can get a salt improvement arc and we can learn more about her. like why oj. like i know it's her code to be in love with oj but i wanna hear her reasoning. also how exactly does oj feel about her like does he hate her is he afraid of her like I WANNA KNOW MORE!!!!! like i want to know just how down bad salt is and if she can be saved. can they be homies. would they hate eacgother like. ii team i am begging you for the deetz. i think viv is really really scared to have her blorbos embody really negative traits so i think half of the sins we've been properly introduced to do a dogshit job at actually embodying the sin they represent because of this lol. why do half of them not suck more as people. why don't they embody their sins, viv.

asmodeus bores me, all of the haha sex jokes in this show are so obnoxious so whenever they bring up that he's the Sex One my eyes roll outta my head. his design is…not at all my cup of tea but i won't say it's atrocious. the palette is unique, at least, by hellaverse standards. i liked him in his first appearance but he's since been declawed and now he's a weally nice guy actually who's all about consent and his wholesome chungus monogomous relationship, which is so fucking lame. could make a bigger post about him honestly. him and fizz are a couple of the saddest victims to 'super scared to write her blorbos being genuinely nasty' thing imo

mammon endeared me initially, but his mastermind appearance sucks. i like his design for the most part (centipede. why centipede. make him a funnelweb) and the fact he's clearly a silly guy on purpose. dresses like a jester by choice. he's evil, AND silly, that's fun. while he's a bit dense in his initial appearance, he's clever enough to know exactly how to manipulate fizz emotionally, and then in mastermind he's this big lumbering dumbass fat fuck who eats sloppily and he's gross and yucky and stupid ewww!! what a cool way to write your like, 1 recurring fat character vivzienne popsicle. lets make a joke specifically about how he has a big stomach. very cool his asexuality was clearly tacked on last-minute and he's clearly not written with that in mind, also kind of weird to canonise him as such when you're writing him to be this undesirable gross slob. i like him in theory, but he also says a lot about how viv views fat/asexual people and it's kind of soured me to him a little. shame. could go more into him, but i'll stop here.

we can't make beezlebub fat though, that's fatphobic! that's why she's thin! ik her design was a whole debacle and i don't care for it but i think it's blown a bit out of proportion. she's just another vivziepop design, i dont think she's uniquely terrible, maybe aside from being a bad rep of gluttony, but i saw more people talking about the bee thing than that. i do think it was kind of a huge mistake to make her so indistinguishable from hellhounds, biggest problem with her design imo. it's clear they wrote her to be deliberately really cool and likeable because she's Kesha, though. she's a typical nice popular party girl. i watched lps series with characters exactly like her when i was 12. sin of gluttony, don't overindulge though bro look after yourself :(

satan is inoffensive. i find him/his design to be kind of generic? but not overtly terrible. big dragon just feels a bit boring to me to who is apparently the penultimate sin, bar lucifer. admittedly, i kind of like the bit that he's got this little guy he listens too. big sucker for silly dynamics like that when they're played straight. wish i knew why the lil guy's robe kept changing colours, though. he's kinda wishy-washy and generic. don't get why any of the sins are intimidated by him when he gives stolas a slap on the wrist that stolas doesn't even have to grovel for, purely for being royalty lol. what's he gonna do to the sins if they step out of line? wag a finger at them? the whole 'he's lying about ruling before lucifer' thing was dumb and should've been caught before the episode went out.

lucifer i have enough to say about that it could probably also be its own post but to keep it short...ish, i think he's kind of inconsistent and weirdly written. they're really scared to write him as genuinely morally dubious and that's lame. they blended like 4 sexyman archetypes into 1 for him. he's so clearly y/n bait that it makes my eyes roll into the back of my skull…characters should get their y/n fiction naturally god dammit stop manufacturing sexymen in the lab!!! his design annoys me but i guess the whole 'pretty porcelain doll' thing makes sense and since he's a fallen angel, corrupted purity or something, wears symbols of himself (apples/snake) all over so Pride, like FINE, i get it, i still flick peanut shells at him though. thin ice. bitch

basically my favourite is like almost mammon i think but he's got weird uncomfortable connotations so i guess it's bephelgor because she doesn't exist enough to do anything to annoy me yet

out of curiosity, what would you want out of revamped gregory and vanessa models?

oh dont even get me started. I think my number 1 want is literally just. fixing their faces. they could keep everything else the exact same and I'd be fine if they made their faces not weird and alien looking.

Cassies hw2 model was designed after her ruin cutouts. theres 2 pieces of Gregory official art in ruin that I think they would (and I would want them to) design his model around, which are the missing poster and cutout with cassie comforting her. i think they're closer to how his face is supposed to look

and he also doesnt look overly young in them. cassies new model just looks like 'kid' and not like, mistakeable for an 8 year old or something. they're supposed to be 12 and Cassies remodel rlly captures that. I really want Gregory's remodel to make him look older, bc I think they didnt know his age yet when they made his SB model, but they should now with all the ggy refs. making him look similar to Cassies models level of age is a big one for me too

another one is HAIR!!! they upgraded cassies hair in the hw2 model by adding extra strands and changing the shape and style and stuff! making Gregory's hair look less like, stiff and clay and sims 4 maxis match would be awesome. and this applies for vanessa too. her ponytail is so rigid lmao and she uh. doesnt have much hair on her model let's just say

as for vanessa, besides fixing her face, I think restoring her old proportions in her art pre-SB is a big deal. their modelers modeled her body to keep the big muscular chest but only in her boobs 😒 giving her back her muscular bulky frame would be huge! and it's not that big of an ask bc they changed Cassies proportions in her hw2 model to look better

also obviously a new outfit. she can't wear her security uniform post-game lol but that feels obvious. I'd die if we got a new outfit for her but I'd be satisfied if they just kept her purple flannel outfit at the end of sb. this also applies to Gregory too. if we got a new outfit for him in a new model I'd pass away. even if it was just a jacket on top of his sb outfit I'd die and throw up and descend into hell

also I already said this but giving vanessa more hair is big. plz give her more bangs and strands and an actual top of her head I miss her tailcoat ponytail

and also I kinda want vanessa to look older. like I absolutely love her smokey eye smudged mascara 'I've been wearing this makeup for 3 days look in sb, bc it gives off a lot of 'I'm going through it' vibes and I think it aids her character in a way her sb face doesnt. i rewatched an animation the other day and was like damn vanessa looks like 16. she was I think 24/25 in FNAF AR. not even counting security breach era and whatever amount of time would have passed since security breach by the time they appear again. she isnt old by any means but shes not super young either! let her immense amount of stress shes experienced show with making her actually look her age 😭

sorry no one gaf about this but i actually cant get over it its so funny 😭 like for context a guy on this show secretly wiretapped his boyfriend including him having sex with another guy, a different guy threatened to release revenge porn of his friend because said friend slept with his bf, the bf in question basically coerced his bf into sex by saying he would quit doing coke if they fucked, a completely different guy deliberately broke his phone so he could borrow wiretap guys phone and send the sex recording to himself to show his bf becuz he knew his bf would get drunk and tell everyone and therefore blow up his friend group all to get back at a guy who fucked his ex, all these characters hate eo and r all awful to eo like this isnt even all of it, but the one girl (whose worst crime so far is like lying to her gf about understanding her experimental art films) makes the bold assumption that her friend known for having meaningless sex (who also knowingly slept with her best friends bf btw) might maybe have been leading her brother on and suddenly thats where yall draw the line?????

im watching this show called only friends with one of my friends and its so crazy that every week ppl r like “i wish the female characters could be as messy and do coke and cheat and be bad friends like the guys” and then when the female character is a bad friend those same ppl act like shes uniquely awful like you couldnt handle her doing coke and cheating on her gf!! i could tho 🫶🏼

Dollposting Time

Finishing up my current project in order to move on to the next one, so thought I'd post about it here a bit.

a while back i bought a lot of random used dolls off ebay (as you do), and mixed in with the busted up Monster Highs and whatnot was a couple of these Shopkins dolls. now i know tastes differ and all but i think these things are hideous, and they're also quite small (about 6in high). that combined with its bizarre proportions meant i was kind of at a loss for what to do with it. The hair was in rough shape so I cut it off.

the Shopkins sat around in my parts box for like a year until i played Cult of the Lamb and was like. wait.

this head shape.

so i dove in and did some surgery.

i dont have any pictures of the process, which involved sawing off her feet and then sanding down the bow details and parts of her face, but i did that and then primed and painted it and made some new parts out of air dry clay

yes. i think this will work.

he needs to be fluffy, though. i wanted him to be fluffy.

by lucky chance i found a child's sheep-themed fleece hoodie at the thrift store and ended up snipping off little bits and gluing them on

obviously he doesn't have feet, so. back to the air-dry clay.

the Shopkins did not stand up on its own, with its dinky little feet and giant head. I managed to make hooves for Lamb that DO allow him to stand up! he's not the most stable thing in the world, but he CAN stand.

now i'm finally finishing up the accessories

he just needs his collar, a crown, and some touchups on his fluff. (also i somehow dinged up his ear a little so i need to repair that)

all in all im pretty pleased with how he's coming out, especially given that he started out looking like this

hey chat sorry for the month of inactivity. i was unmotivated to do anything with this blog

but then i looked at some of the art on here and realized that i just lost my love for the character designs. so you know how we're gonna fix that? we're redesigning some characters bayybeeee 😈

starting with the man the myth the legend, here is UNPLEZZIE 2.0

he's probably the only one i had genuine problems with other than not being very aesthetically pleasing. he seemed too boring, his proportions were always a bit wonky, and the way he became more and more simple the more i drew him dumbed him down to just...awkward.

for this redesign, i kept all the features that made him my unpleasant. the only really signature thing i changed was his hair, sorry not sorry he had to fire his barber. i changed his scars to be far less opaque as to not clutter him up (which was the main reason i left them out most of the time), the only drawback is that i'm no longer just scribbling them in with a brush, they're actual geometry, so i cut back on the arms just for my own sake. also his tail now looks (and acts) like an actual docked tail.

creepy was probably my least favorite character to draw. its head shape with the hair that always ends off screen, the 4 arms, the lack of any real way to move visible, it has always been a mess of a character. don't get me wrong, creepy is my second favorite character to write for (beaten only by neuro), i love its personality and its inflection, i just never got the chance to show that because i hated drawing it so much.

so for the redesign, i've basically reimagined it. its face hair now has an actual definitive ending, it has a more unique shape, and is just much more expunged-friendly in my opinion. it looks even more like its mom now...

next is this one, i thought she was american. here's PARANORMAL 2.0

i'm gonna be totally honest i have no idea what i was doing when designing para for the first time. that outfit was 100% subconsciously stolen from some other character i can't think of right now. it also really just didn't fit her character at all. also i dont know why i gave her boobs???? what????

anyways for the redesign she's basically a whole new design now. i wanted to play with some shape language. also, para always had a sort of inhuman quality to me, despite her personality, so i've given her inverted eyes and some animalistic features. i guess it adds irony or something, i dunno.

and finally, the moment GERIATRIC CAT you've all been waiting for, UNNERVING 2.0

in truth nervy's design is my favorite. the only gripe i had is the lack of legs, like with creepy. also i had to give her one of the same pride flag ass gradient as the rest so she'd fit in with the rest. other than all that i love her she is perfect just the way she is with minor adjustments

that's all the redesigns done!! i only did these 4 because stabby is not mine to redesign and NEURO is perfect just the way it is. feel free to give me any constructive criticism for these redesigns, i can always tweak em a bit. also the more stripy gradients wont a pattern that follows the contours of the body but rather just unmoving plaid always. i hope this lengthy yap sesh contributed something to something, maybe gave some insight into my characters.
