When I sent that ask I had just come from twitter where some ARMYs where claiming that dropping Muse and Who to support Yoongi is what Jimin would want, that his album has been out for a month already so it not a big deal to move on.

I saw you reblog that post about Jimin standing with Yoongi, along with not seeing you post much about the hate Jimin has been getting lately, and my frustration towards those that are dropping Jimin to support Yoongi may have been projected on to you.

I don't expect you to be a "content creator", I'm very grateful for the time and energy you give to answer our questions and make thoughtful posts about Jikook and BTS. I have seen you post asks with reporting links before, so I was under the assumption that was something you allowed on your blog (especially for serious issues). If that has changed (which is fine! some people want their blogs/accounts/fandom spaces to be free of reports and anti discussion), I'm sorry for not knowing or not remembering!

It was not at all my intention to victimize Jimin, as I said people have resorted to saying things like "Jimin would want us to do this" and thus using Jimin's loving friendship with Yoongi as a way to justify not supporting Jimin anymore (or as much).

I have noticed that you hadn't posted about Yoongi! I was actually wondering if you were doing alright seeing as he is also your bias. I had even wanted to ask you if you knew some good sources to get information on what was happening, because there was a lot of misinformation and I was genuinely scared for Yoongi.

Seeing as this was a misunderstanding on my part, I don't wish to unfollow you if that's okay? Chapter Two and this recent year has made finding actual ARMYs who support ALL SEVEN members hard. Do I Role Play?

Short answer: no

Long answer: kind of? I do often use RP like language (such as the use of ** and refering to myself as my online persona, who is still technically me but in a universe where vore exists). so yesterday i found out that i probably have well over 1.5k blogs blocked for not respecting my blog rules when interacting so i decided to share this guide. i'm posting it on my sideblog so that blogs that i have already blocked can also see this.

this is a bit of an exhaustive list. i don't think all writers have these rules, so i ordered them by priority. meaning from those who ALL writers mostly likely block for, to least.

• you're a default blog. meaning your blog looks anything like this:

creepy. looks like a bot— which is a common thing in tumblr. bots interacting with your content can risk getting your blog shadowbanned, which does so much damage to writers. i for one am not taking that risk.

how to fix it:

put a profile picture on, it can be anything. name your blog, don't leave it as "untitled". i will get to more points as i go.

• you don't have an age indicator anywhere on your blog.

me and other nsfw writers impose this rule because we do not want our content anywhere near minors. if you don't have your age or 18+ (if you're uncomfortable putting a specific number), we can't guess if you're of age or not. so we block just to be safe.

that being said, all nsfw works do have explicit disclaimers. most of my fics have a "smut/minors dni" and/or this before the cut:

still, ageless blogs continue to interact with it. which i think is rude tbh. please respect the rules set. i know this doesn't prevent minors completely from having access to nsfw content, but disclaimers and blocking ageless blogs are the most we as writers can do to make it less likely. the rest of the responsibility falls on the minors themselves to stay away from content that's not made for them.

how to fix it:

easy! put an age indicator on your bio. you can edit your bio by tapping the 🎨 icon in your profile. if you still can't get it to work. make a new post, type in your age and any other stuff you would like to say about yourself (who you stan, what you enjoy etc) then hit post. once it's posted, tap the three dots on the top left corner and then tap "pin post". that way this post is the first thing to appear on your blog and writers can easily access the information.

• you have an empty blog.

tumblr mainly works through reblogging content, likes don't really do anything. here is a very informative post by @tasteleeknow on why and how to reblog to support your favorite writers ♡ please make sure to read it.

an empty blog leaving silent likes on fics is not only creepy, but leaves the writer with mixed feelings. you read the fic, you enjoyed it, but didn't bother to reblog it. did they not enjoy it enough? what didn't they like about it? and more stupid questions can make their way to the writer's head. reassure them with a reblog!

how to fix it:

i'm not asking you to post anything. a lot of people have blogs just to browse around. but reblog the posts that you see and like. fill your blog with things you enjoy/agree with. gifs, quotes, shit posts, fics. use your blog.

that being said, blogs with one single post reblogged or that haven't been active for months/years also get blocked. you're obviously still on the platform if you leave a like on my post. so again, use your blog.

• you have posts reblogged on your blog, but none of them are fics AND/OR you only "like" fics.

personally, i also block blogs who consume fics but don't reblog them. if you have no writing reblogged, either from me or other writers, i probably don't vibe with you. i don't expect everyone to enjoy everything i put out, but surely you enjoy other fics, don't you?

i'm not asking for everyone to interact with my content, i'm asking the ones who read it, to show that they did.

if you're a spam liker, you're most likely getting blocked too. i don't mind empty likes here and there (and to be honest it's too much work, most writers get empty likes daily. just look at the like/reblog ratio on any fic and you'll understand). but if you go through 5+ of my posts in a short interval without reblogging any, you're getting blocked. it risks getting my blog shadowbanned and makes me uncomfortable.

how to fix it:

if you like a fic, please don't just tap the heart and move on. reblog it. it lets the writer know you enjoyed it better than a like does, because it helps the fic reach more people like you that might enjoy it.

if you like to keep fics you want to read in the liked tab, a better option would be to reblog them with hashtags like #to be read or #reading list etc. that way when you search up the hashtag in your blog you can find all the fics you're been wanting to read. it can get easily messy with likes, as it's essentially the same thing as hoarding instagram posts in "saved" or tweets in "bookmarks". separating them with tags is much more organized and practical.

if you have a sfw blog with minors following you and you don't want to share nsfw content there, it's totally fine. i once again refer you to the post linked above where jade explains how to open a sideblog for reblogging fics and using tags.

tumblr is not social media, or at least i don't consider it so. it's totally anonymous, so you don't have to worry about anyone judging you for reblogging that fic with a weird kink. nobody cares, we're all mad here.

please please please don't be a passive content consumer. give back to artists and writers who spend a lot of time and effort on their work.

• i simply don't vibe with you.

now this is the least likely reason that you could be blocked for by me. but if you don't check any of the boxes above, it's probably the case. tumblr is all about curating your experience and so blocking/unfollowing blogs/content you don't really want to see is encouraged. less stress, less drama.

there isn't really a way to fix this, i probably won't be unblocking blogs i blocked for this reason simply because i did it for the sake of my own peace of mind.

Hey Anon! Goodness you're so sweet and I would just love to give you a hug and say thank you so much and just show you how appreciated your words are. Honestly you remind me of the old fanfic community and its a breath of fresh air! You did not make me uncomfortable or cross any boundaries what-so-ever (if anything I think you've read me and my self-estreem issues very well haha XD)! That being said I think, unfortunately, that's kinda the way fanfic community is at the moment; not only on tumblr but on other bigger sites (FF.net, AO3..). Fics are taken, translated, read aloud, unique writers styles, prompts and expressions shamelessly copied. There's also a demand from writers to share, produce, provide, be efficient, have a schedule, take requests etc etc while they get threatened with AI, hate, insults, trolls, demands, being reported, get buried/not have any engagement at all and I could go on. Fact of the matter is, there's very little wiggle room as a writer for what you can do 'back' so to speak. Sure you can create a DNI. Or more precisely a " All fics are unique works by ©ravencincaide 2024. Do not copy/repost/translate or spread my work(s) without my explicit permission. If you see any of my work(s) reposted/copied anywhere else without my consent, please inform me! " text to every fic- but does anyone listen? Not really. Sometimes it's still nice to see it though so I'm definitely starting with that even if it is essentiella pointless. You can spend valuable time on playing 'monitor police' on all those who take your work for granted and manually block spam-like, monitoring age/minors & bot-like blogs etc etc while repeatedly reminding about reblogs, comments and such. But ultimately it's not a fun activity; it would entail me blocking basically 90% of my followers. It would also take what little time i have to spare away from writing. And finally, I could just put this blog on hiatus and keep my writing to myself or find a site where I can hide it behind paywalls. Seeing as I write for anime/small fandoms/BSD rather than big fandoms such as Supernatural, Harry Potter etc the chances of doing that and making a name are rather.. well limited to say the least.

Before I disappear due to exams, little emotional thing I had earlier that I need to get out of my chest.

So, I was looking through some old stuff earlier, like really old stuff because we were rearranging some of our rooms, heck I even came across my kindergarten ID and that was over way-too-many years ago. This isn't about something I found, earlier more of something I didn't find.

Basically, I wrote this really cute poem when I was like, ten. It was one of my best works, mind you, and I love it to this day. It was for some sort of a school assignment, create a poem/literary piece and all that, you know. Of course, being the tiny bookworm nerd that I was, I ended up pouring a great portion of my heart into that poem.

Long stanzas short, it was about a flower, some form of allegory for a girl or whatever, yes, real unoriginal but sue me, I was nine lmao. Anyway, within the poem I narrated the cycle the flower went through. From being praised and loved for its colors and beauty, people would flock from different corners of the globe just to watch her blooming beauty.

The flower loved it, filled with joy and euphoria from everyone around her and how much they loved her.

But eventually, like many things, beauty fades. Its colors began to wane, beauty began to falter, petals begin to wither.

It had changed so much, lost so much and altered so many things, the flower was almost unrecognizable.

It's been a while now, since the time the flower was so dearly loved by all, but now? She was alone. The flower was alone.

And after that, I basically don't rememer a single inch of what I wrote. No, I mean it. Literally. Nothing. Na-da. Zilch. Empty.

I've been wracking my brains for who-knows-how-many years at this point, trying to remember what those few final lines were because I cannot, for the life of me, remember.

Haunts me to this day, honestly.

But yeah, I was looking for the old journal I had where I noted my several failed attempts to replicate what I wrote before. Guess what? I couldn't find it.

And even if I did, it would basically be useless, right? It doesn't contain the poem I want to read, it doesn't possess the few stanzas that sent little me into a field of writing euphoria I'm quite sure I'll never reach again.

And while thinking about that, I thought, what did I, or well, little me, actually mean with that poem?

It was about something whose beauty was beginning to falter, who watched the consistency in her life slowly blur as everyone completely forgot about her.

I'm pretty sure nine-year-old Ess wasn't thinking of anything like that, so I really couldn't understand. Why did I write that?

And then I realized why. Why I couldn't figure out what the last lines of the poem were. Why I couldn't figure out the meanings and reason of why I wrote that poem. Why I couldn't get into the mind of Little Ess and ask her why.

Because I was the flower. Yeah, you can probably stop reading at this part because I may go on a tirade of making myself sound self-important over an ancient (well, at least for me) piece of writing, but still.

Anyway, I feel like I've changed so much. Lost a lot, gained a little, discovered a bit, forgot a few. So many things have happened and I'm positive the girl I was once when I wrote this poem isn't the same girl writing this awkwardly long tumblr post.

I could never be the girl I once was, I could never imagine myself in their shoes again (I think I may have grown a few sizes), I could never think, see, and feel the same way that little girl did.

Maybe the poem was a message from Little Ess so that Future Ess (technically me) wouldn't completely hate the person she'd become. Because knowing sweet, nine-year-old me believed and cared about the person I'd become, no matter how different that is from now, makes me feel a little better about who I am.

...that or Little Ess was just really excited over a literature assignment.

It just made me feel happy, emotional as I said, to think about it like that. The future may be bleak but it never hurts to love a little portion of yourself because the past you was willing to love that part without even knowing what it would become.

I still don't know the final lines to that poem and I'll probably never make it public if I do, but it makes me glad to feel that way and honestly? I don't even want to know.

I'm content being the fading flower with only a lingering feeling of the euphoria I had once before, but knowing I have a lot more ahead of me too, and maybe, just maybe, like Little Ess, I should trust and love Future Ess a little bit more.

You woke up today feeling weird but you pushed those feelings away wanting to enjoy your last couple of days before going back to work, you had taken a break from working for the BAU and had spent time working in your books, you had taken a break because of some unfortunate events in your life but you push those thoughts away and get out of bed to get ready for your day.

You get in your car and head to your local coffee shop to have some breakfast as you looked at your phone for the books you wanted to get at the library, after having breakfast you head to the library with a soft smile on your face, it had been a while since you were there. Saying hi to the librarian before heading to the section of books you wanted, you grabbed the two books you needed but the third one wasto high fo you to reach making you sigh and curse your genes. You put the books in your hand down before moving the stool that was at the end of the section and pulls it to where you wanted it and move to grab the book only for someone else's hand to touch yours.

You looks at the person and you feel a little sting on your forearm but you don't put much mind to it, you smile as both of you pull your hands away "The Persian Boy, do you have interest in such books" you ask trying to diffuse the tension as the both of you stared at each other. "I usually don't go for books like these but a colleague of mine recommended it, what about you?" you look at him "I'm quite a fan of such books, I recently finished a similar book to it" he hands you the book "here you can read it first" you bite your lip "um I was thinking of buying it" he realizes what you meant but you continue "I don't usually lend people books but, I can buy it and then I can lend it to you to read" he smiles and nods "that would be nice um-if you want y-you can give me your phone number and I can message you when I get done with it" he says as he hands his phone to you, dialing in your number you hand him the phone "y/n, that's a nice name" he says before letting you know his name "Spencer"...

The day was finally here, the day you go back to work, were you nervous? Definitely. You had called hotch to let him know that you were ready to be back, it was a surprise to him. He agreed to let you come back and here you were parking your car, you get out of the car and head in going directly to hotch's office as you feel eyes on you. You knock on his door and here the come in "y/n how are you?" he gets up and shakes your hand "I'm good, um how have you been?" you ask to which is reply was the usual 'I'm good'.

Leading you to the round table room where everyone was, at once you caught the eye of someone-Spencer, you both hold eye contact for what felt like a hot minute "you both know each other" you hear derek say as he let's a small smirk slip "w-we met at the library" Spencer says to which Derek and Emily (who had previously introduced herself) let out a sound of acknowledgement "oh he is the library boy huh" Spencer's turns red before hotch stops the other two.

After the introduction as you set up your desk that was infront of derek, Spencer walks up to you with a book in his hand "um y-y/n I just wanted to apologize for earlier and also wanted to give you this" he hands you the book "it's okay and, thank you. ah I hope you liked the book" "I did it was quite interesting not the genre I usually go for but now I will" you flip through the book to see he had written on some pages which brings a small smile on your face "I'm sorry-" you cut him off "it's okay I think I would quite enjoy reading your views on somethings" he smiles at you before nodding "um i-i don't know if you would be willing to or not but I was thinking we could go for some coffee later on the weekend if you would like to that is" "we definitely can"

I was in my room reading the book he had given back to me, smiling like a teenager every time i saw his messy but heart-warming handwritten notes. The day was spent with Spencer showing me around the new places that were installed after I had left, I felt at peace with him being near me, I didn't know why I smiled every time he would be close to me, or why my eyes searched for his every time I entered a room. Could it be...no no I can't go through such pain not again, I shake my head as I put the book aside and lay down trying to keep my mind off a certain someone...

Ok. It's canon that he's a really thoughtful guy. And he kinda relates to you, except that he's not that talkative around close friends either.

At first you were a bit uncomfortable with him too, since you barely knew him, but now that you two are together? Things are different.

Atsushi notices this when he takes you to the agency for the first time. The way you nervously smile as you answer other people's questions with a word or two, or how you keep looking back at the clock to see when it's time for you to leave, he notices how uncomfortable you are and the problem is serious.

So he decides to never force you to go anywhere (he didn't force you the last time, he just asked you and you couldn't say no), and always ask you if you're really willing to go there, not because you have to.

Instead of going out, he arranges the perfect date at home, with just the two of you. He prepares your favorite meal with your favorite dessert, plays games with you that you're interested in to, and also gets a fun movie for you to watch.

To be honest he's more comfortable at home, or alone with just the two of you, so it worked out the best for you.

I'm not saying that he doesn't like going outside. He enjoys fun activities outside with his friends, but wants you to have as much fun as he does.

Will help you get over your anxiety if you want to bet over it, or else wont to talk about it at all because he respects your boundries and doesn't wanna upset you :)

The case is different with this guy.

I'm not saying that he isn't thoughtful, he is; but in his opinion, helping you get over your problem is a part of being thoughtful.

He will convince you to get out of your comfort zone and try to be around people and get used to it, because sometimes you just have to do it and he doesn't want you to suffer when that moment comes.

I was going to say that he will tease you about it, but honestly, there's nothing he can tease you about. So, I think if you refuse to get out of your comfort zone and stuff, he will tease you a bit over things without saying the actual cause why he's doing it.

He won't tease you too much though, since he loves you and hurting you is the last thing he wants to do; but please understand that this is his way of showing you how much he actually cares about you.

He will plan fun activities that you enjoy, but outdoor. You were not really willing at first, but then you had so much fun that you forgot you were outside and didn't feel uncomfortable anymore.

Yup, he's smart and he will use his mind to make you feel better :)

Would encourage you at the end of the day for overcoming your anxiety even if it was only a little bit.

To be sincere you were a bit upset at how he was making you get out of you're comfort zone. You thought that he wanted to change you and that he didn't like your current personality, but after a while, you do see the effect that those outdoor activities had on you and how you're able to communicate to people much more comfortable than before.

He does feel bad about it sometimes, so he tries to make it up to you at night, by hugging you tight and slowly caressing you hair, showering you in affection and kisses :>

Anytime something pisses me off, I *try* not to dwell on it, but the more I try not to think about it, well, the more I think about it.

The fact that it is IMPOSSIBLE to have a reasonable conversation about the Lindsay Ellis situation with a white fanatic is frustrating. As I keep pointing out, a good number of the criticisms towards her are coming from women of color. We have literally been listing out why we have been uncomfortable with her for some time (before the Raya incident). The fact that I asked one of her fans why these criticisms are either being ignored or lumped in with the harassment she has received and got no answer, but instead was told that meme-ifying her mistakes counted as "bullying" and "harassment" speaks volumes.

Many of us have never even spoken to Lindsay. Shit, I don't even use Twitter. The most I have done is lay out reasons I don't like her right here on my blog. To be honest, the fact that one of her fans even bothered to actually talk to me is surprising, because they really seem to scroll past us a majority of the time in favor of reblogging posts that suggest the criticism she receives is simply misogyny and harassment. Unfortunately, it didn't get anywhere because again, my question as to why we are either ignored or lumped in with bullies was unanswered.

I also find it quite ironic that I was told that if we don't like her we could simply block and ignore her. Like, okay? Why? Why should we ignore someone when they repeatedly publish takes online that hurt us? Again, I'm going to point out that a lot of us have not even spoken to her directly. We, instead, have written our own responses to the takes of hers that we found problematic. Those of us who did speak to her, from what I've seen, were very cordial and patient. Each time, she doubled down, spoke over them, ignored them, or lashed out. And each time, her fanatics (mostly white) have stepped in to do the same. In my case, I saw firsthand the true colors of some who hovered over my blog for days at a time and implied that I deserved my trauma (which was completely unrelated to Lindsay Ellis. This person just wanted to make a low blow for daring to offer criticism towards her). Like, her fans will be like, "She is a PERSON who deserves respect," but then will actively try to trigger her critics? Make it make sense, please.

In all of this, it gets clearer and clearer that her biggest (mostly white) fans don't care to learn about these issues, and especially not from us. Lindsay Ellis provided talking points and big words for them to sound smart, but when it comes to actually listening to *us*, they don't care, because it was never about that.

I will not write heavy angst (such as breakups or divorce between reader and the character, infidelity/cheating where the character is cheating on reader or vice versa, torture or violence against the reader, MCD/reader death, hurt-no-comfort, dub-con, non-con). I also won’t write ddlg/daddy kink, breeding kink, monster aus, or a/b/o.

I’m confused about some of the terms you use and events you have on the blog. What’s sinday? Is it different than a Sleepover? What’s the difference between requests, headcanons, and thots?

Sinday = Occasionally, I will open the inbox for you guys to submit writing requests, if you'd like! This is a day where you can send in as many requests as you'd like (limit one per ask please, so I can keep them all separate!) In 2022, these opportunities will be very far and few in between due to the increase of my work life, but I will always make a pinned announcement post when the time comes!

Sleepover = A chance for us all to hang out! I reblog a bunch of ask lists and ask games, people send in questions, or they send in asking for advice, or telling us about their day, or anything else they’d like to share. We talk about all sorts of things, it’s a great way for us as a community to just hang out and spend an evening together. I often will like put on a face mask and get snacks or something, or have a movie on in the background to help make it feel like we’re all sleeping over at my house and giggling together!

Prompt Submissions (also called Imagines) = These are scenarios that you guys send in to me, that you are asking me to write. It’s usually an idea you guys have, and then I get inspired by that and write out anywhere from like 500-1k words based around the idea. These can be sweet, silly, angsty, or smutty! For example: “what would happen if Flip heard someone catcalling you?”

Headcanon requests = These are topics you guys send in that you’d like for me to go into some detail on in a casual way. It’s not fully fleshed out writing, but is instead a series of bullet points listing how I think the characters would respond to a scenario, or how they feel about a topic. For example: In what ways does Pale show he loves you?

Thots/General Shenanigans = These are just opinions that you guys have that you want to share with the world! It’s not expecting writing from me, it’s just you guys shouting out into the void and us all shouting back! For example: Clyde Logan is so thicc and I want to climb him like a tree.

Do you have a taglist for when you upload new writing?

Yes! Please see the link in my description, which will take you to a google form. You can select which characters you’d like to be notified for, as well as what type of writing (chapter fics/oneshots/prompt fills).

8. Can you help me develop ideas for my fic?

While I am very flattered that you would consider me, I’m going to have to respectfully decline. I spend so much time developing ideas for my own professional writing and my hobby fanfic, that my brain tends to be fried and I’m of no help to anyone lol

9. Will you be my beta author?

Again, while I am very flattered, I will have to decline. Editing takes up most of my own free time, and I’m afraid I’m fried by the time I would be able to edit your stories.

10. Do you do RP threads?

Generally speaking, no.

11. Can I send you writing that I’ve done through the inbox/submissions box for you to post?

No. While I am flattered that you’d like to share writing with me, I really prefer to be tagged in a post you’ve made yourself, rather than posting your writing for you.

12. Do you have a masterlist?

Please, please, please check the masterlists before sending in something if you’re unsure. Chances are, I’ve written it and you can read it right away, rather than wait for me to tell you it’s already been posted 6 months ago lol <333
