YOU'RE READING MISTBORN???? okay I need you to continue <3 I think elend grows a lot over the series and has a lot to give later on. And kelsier has passed, but his influence and legacy remains. That certainly won't be the last mention of him. Also, idk if you know this, but Brandon Sanderson actually wrote the whole series before publishing, so he was able to go back and make edits to book 1 so that all the foreshadowing is *perfect.* which makes the resolution really satisfying.
Based on your complaints, I can also give you a big spoiler that may help motivate you to continue. Only if you want 😂
AHHH ok this is all so good to know!!! i did sort of accidentally not really spoil myself on a big spoiler to do with kelsier so if that's the one you're referring to, then i got that one recently 😂 but if it's NOT that spoiler and it'd motivate me to read the series then im ready! i need motivation!
i also think that i had a bit of a book hangover/really wanted more of the whole kelsier and the gang going into the whole series so i was a little disappointed it won't be?? ALSO the lord ruler already was like?? defeated?? so what else is there 😭 which like i know there's more and i know it'll be great but my brain was like unable to wrap around it haha i do want to keep going though, ive heard nothing but amazing things about the series and i really loved reading it in a hyperfixated haze

Tumblr media
“Hey, buddy,” Sungchan called for your son’s attention, his hands occupied with groceries. “Do you want me or Mommy to help you get ready for your nap? Or are you going to try to do it yourself?”
“Mm
” He looked up at the ceiling thoughtfully. “Mommy!”
“Alright, help with the groceries then I’ll help you, Binnie,” you bargained, putting a bag down on the ground in his reach.
As Woobin dutifully put the bags of chips and boxes of gummies on the lower shelves of the pantry that he could reach, you and Sungchan quickly put away the rest of the groceries. When there was just cleaning and other household supplies left, your husband grabbed those and nodded towards your son.
“Go put buddy down, I’ve got this.”
“Thanks, Channie,” you pecked his cheek before turning to your child. “Lead the way!”
Woobin was able to get into his pajamas by himself, so you were really just there to tuck him in and kiss his forehead. You never bought into the “cry themselves out” mindset from the get-go, and to this day would sit with him until he fell asleep if he asked.
Except this time, he didn’t get into bed at all, standing next to the piece of furniture with you and staring at it like you were about to cliff dive instead of nap. He looked up at you, and you already saw his bottom lip quivering.
“Mommy?”
“Yeah, Binnie, I’m right here, my sweet,” you promised, kneeling down in front of him so you were eye-to-eye. “What’s wrong?”
He threw his arms around your neck, taking quick, shallow breaths as he very bravely tried to communicate with you. “I don’t wanna—I don’t wanna
”
“Okay, I won’t make you right now,” you promised, rubbing his back. “Will you tell me what’s making you upset? Is it the nap? Going to sleep? Did you have a bad dream?”
But he had already devolved into incomprehensible sobs, and you bit your lip at the twinge in your chest. “Alright, sweet, how about we go to Mommy and Daddy’s room? Hm? And I’ll read you something. If you don’t want to nap, you don’t have to today, okay? Sound good?”
You could feel him nod into your shoulder, and that was all you needed to pick him up and settle him on your hip to carry him out of his room. As you passed by Sungchan putting away new bottles of dish soap and dishwasher pods under the sink, he gave you a concerned look. You mouthed a ‘later’ to him as you took your son across your house and into your room. As you passed by your bookshelf, you quickly selected a book, then sat down at the head of your bed, Woobin on your lap. Pulling your blanket up over you two, you let him get settled in and comfortable, still very much crying all the while.
Holding your book with one hand and resting the other on his back, you started reading. After a while, his sobs died down to hiccups, which petered out to just the occasional sniffle. But you could see that he was still awake, his eyes open and following your place as you read. Then, after a while longer, they started to slowly fall shut and his chin would tilt down, then he’d quickly open his eyes again and jerk his head up. Finally, he couldn’t fight the heaviness of his lids, and he fell asleep. You put your bookmark in where you were just before his eyes closed, but kept reading past that, just in case. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw the door handle slowly turn, and your bedroom door inch open before Sungchan peered in.
Your husband pointed to the boy in your lap, then made a gesture of pretending to sleep on a pillow, lifting his eyebrows questioningly after. You nodded, still reading softly.
Sungchan slipped in the room, closing the door quietly behind him as well. Having come to a stopping place, you finally closed your book and set it aside on the one you already had on your nightstand.
“Really? You’re reading Breton lais to our child?” Sungchan’s teasing whisper was barely audible. “He’s going to start school saying stuff like nary and furthermore.”
“Says the man who knew I was reading a Breton lai,” you shot back just as quietly.
“Getting married to a lit professor, you pick up a few things.” He then looked down at Woobin. “What happened?”
You sighed and readjusted slightly to hold him tighter now that you had two free arms. “I don’t know. He couldn’t tell me. As soon as he had to get into bed for his nap he just
 broke down.”
A deep frown cut across Sungchan’s face as he stroked your son’s hair, but he said nothing else. He left the room, and you heard him moving around throughout the house as you picked up the other book from your nightstand. Eventually, he meandered back in, sitting on his side of the bed and setting up his laptop to quietly work beside you as your son continued napping on your lap and you continued your book. In addition to doing research at the university and being the assistant coach for the hockey team, Sungchan had picked up teaching a couple of Intro to Biology for majors sections, and you could see him answering emails from his students out of the corner of your eye. You were rereading the material for the Direct Study you were leading next semester.
Eventually, Woobin slowly started stirring, grumbling, yawning, and rubbing at his eyes before burying his face back in your chest with a sigh. You stroked his back, attention still on your book. He turned over in your arms when he finally decided that he was awake, blinking his eyes open and staring off into the middle distance.
“Hey, Binnie, you awake?” Sungchan asked quietly.
He nodded slowly, stretching his arms up, and you had to duck your head out of the way to avoid getting smacked in the face by a stray hand.
“Sleep good?” Your husband kept talking to him.
He nodded again, letting out another adorable little yawn.
“Of course you did,” Sungchan chuckled, gently pinching the tip of his nose. “You got the best seat in the house right there, bud.”
Woobin made grabby hands at Sungchan, and he moved his laptop to the side to transfer him from your lap to his, pressing a kiss to forehead once he was settled in against his chest.
“Uncle Chenle is going to be over soon,” you reminded your son of your plans for the night. “Are you excited?”
He perked up at this. “Yeah! He said he was gonna bring me back a souvenir!”
“He does love to spoil you,” Sungchan shook his head, ruffling the boy’s hair.
Tumblr media
As Woobin busied himself with his toys in his room, the horrors of naptime all but forgotten, you and Sungchan were having a fervent, whispered conversation in your bedroom.
“Should we even go tonight?” You asked, pulling your outfit on.
“I know, I’m worried about bedtime
” Sungchan sighed, nevertheless assisting you with your zipper.
“Chenle’s really good with him, and you know how much he dotes on Woobin.” You paused in front of the mirror, smoothing out the wrinkles. You weren’t sure if you were trying to convince yourself or your husband at this point.
“I know, I don’t doubt how much he loves our kid, or how much buddy loves him,” he replied, fidgeting with his tie behind you. “I just
would hate to not be there.”
“Me too,” you replied quietly, turning around to fix his tie yourself. “I can practically feel the stress migraine coming on thinking about it.”
“Okay, well don’t do that, baby,” Sungchan insisted, resting his hands on your waist to pull you closer. “I mean, that didn’t happen at bedtime yesterday, did it?”
“No, it didn’t,” you agreed. “Or naptime yesterday
”
“Who’s to say it’ll happen at bedtime today?” He suggested. “Might’ve been a one-time thing. Or only for naps.”
“Right.” You breathed out, having finished with his tie, and now looked up at him questioningly. “So we’re going?”
“Seems like it.”

JOSH HUTCHERSON. I do badly wanna make a request for Josh from the forger but I must show restraint
Anyways Mike asking you to officially be his gf?
JOSH HUTCHERSON JOSH HUTCHERSON AOQWEIIOWEIOOIAWEFIOFWAEWGAGEHRGAHREW
my husband
anyways here u go pooksters
warnings: female pronouns, fluff, reader has a nightmare, smooching just a lil
I didn’t check spelling on this so if it’s horrible I’m so sorry 😭
--
mikes job was not an easy one.
neither was managing a younger sister.
but thats where you came in.
you and mike had known one another since high school, though you two hadn’t been the closest pair at the time. gentle smiles in the halls and small hellos were about all that went on in your mind.
but not for sweet old mike.
he adored you, every second he got to be in your presence was like heaven.
looking back on it he wasn't sure how you hadn't noticed his longing stares, the blush coating his cheeks, the way he fumbled over his words.
he was in love with you, that was clear to everyone but you.
so when the end of high school rolled around, the two of you fell out of touch.
he was sad, yes, but he had abby to worry about, and some cute girl couldn't get in his way.
so for the next few years nothing happened between the two of you, and he just assumed you had moved away to some far away place. eventually the amount thoughts of you in his mind began to dwindle down, until you only crossed his mind at most 2 times a year.
that was until a few months ago that is...
long story short mike had posted a few flyers about needing a baby sitter for abby, and low and behold someone sent him a message and sweetly said they'd love to meet up with him over coffee to discuss more details.
so thats exactly what happened, mike put on his most formal clothes (which wasnt really much) and began his journey to the coffee shop. He anxiously wiped his sweaty palms on his pants, silently cursing himself for his nervous habits. before he knew it the coffee shop was just ahead, and as he stepped inside it was like his heart stopped beating.
it was you.
He tried to hide his smile but you could read that man like an open book.
The two of you talked for several hours, about the job, about life, about everything.
you could've kept going even, if it werent for mike having to pick up abby from school.
so you bid your farewells and mike informed you that you could start watching abby the following day.
as mike worked each night, you stayed with abby, doing everything with her, and she loved it.
every day she would gush to mike about you, talking about the adventures and fun times the two of you had shared.
mike listened every time as well, and every time he did so he couldnt help but note how his feelings for you began to return.
after all, you were so sweet, so gentle, so... loving.
how could he help it?
every morning after his shift he would come home to find leftovers on the counter, alongside a small handwritten note from you, each time saying something ever so sweet.
on top of that he would also find you dozing on the couch, and every time he saw you sleeping so peacefully he would just admire you for a few moments, always opting to cover you with his jacket or a blanket before he sent himself off to bed as well.
so that brings us to tonight.
mike walks through the door with a yawn, rubbing his eyes sleepily as he places his vest on the coat rack, dragging himself into the kitchen as he picks up your sweet note.
"abby insisted on pizza and spaghetti tonight so take your pick sugar, i hope work was well, i hope you dont mind but i forgot a change of clothes tonight and abby grabbed a pair of your boxers and an old sweatshirt of yours, i just threw it on for tonight, i promise ill get it back to you clean asap! lots of love, - y/n" the note read.
mike cant help but chuckle at your rambling, and he picks up the plate full of pizza and he reaches out to open the microwave but stops in his tracks when he hears something.
something so faint he wasnt even sure he had really heard it.
then it happened again, louder now and mikes blood ran cold.
it was you, your cries.
mike rushes into the living room, and his body visibly relaxes when he finds you still deep in slumber on the couch.
a small frown falls on his face when he notices you squirming, a distressed look across your sleeping features as a few frantic words escape your mouth in slumber.
"no! mike- mike please- dont- i need you mike please" you murmured, so softly that mike was sure he was hallucinating.
still he approached your sleeping figure, his rough hands gently making their way to your shoulders.
“hey hey hey” he whispered as he gently shook you, concern in his eyes.
yet you didn’t budge, body trembling beneath him as small whines escape you, even some small tears slipping past your closed eyes.
he shook you harder now, and he lets out a breath he didn’t know he was holding when you shoot upright, but his relief quickly fades as a quiet sob escapes your lips.
your teary e/c eyes scan over him, almost checking to see if it’s really him.
once your brain finally decides to accept the fact that he’s really in front of you, you fling yourself towards him, more sobs escaping your lips “oh mikey” you cry out.
mike immediately wraps his arms around your torso, one hand moving up to comb through your hair.
“woah woah woah I’m right here pretty girl, I’m here, I’m here” he coos into your ear, holding your trembling frame.
the two of you stayed like that until your sobs turned into small sniffles, your head resting on his shoulder as you took in his scent.
“m’sorry
” you mumble into the crook of his neck
“it’s ok don’t apologise silly, do you wanna talk about it?” he quietly asks you, and you nod.
“I- you died mikey
 in my dream
you- you were gone! I- I was so scared
I can’t lose you” you say between hiccups, and he hopes you can’t tell how your words make his heart race.
“im not leaving anytime soon pretty girl, can i tell you a secret y/n?” he asks as he brushes a hair behind your ear.
he chuckles when you nod and cuddle further into him, his face flushing ever so slightly, not that you could notice in the dim light of the room anyways.
“ive been in love with you since freshman year” he murmurs, and with those words your body grows stiff and you sight upright.
“y-you have?” your shaky voice asks
he nods, his orbs locking onto your own, and he goes to speak, his nerves getting the best of him, but before he can you cut him off.
with a kiss.
you had kissed mike.
mike just kissed the love of his life.
the kiss was sweet, gentle, and it seemingly lasted forever.
the two of you eventually pulled away for air, chests heaving as you both gasp gently for air.
you both go to speak at the same time
“I love you so much-“
“I’m so in love with you”
you both gasp at the others words, and you can’t help but giggle.
“so does this mean..?” you question, as you absentmindedly cuddle closer into him
“mean what? that you’re my girlfriend?” he asks gently
“if you want me to be” you say with a smile, awaiting his next words
“well how can I say no to a smile like that?”
—
this is prob really bad I haven’t written in forever but I’m lowkey kinda proud of it for rn, I hope you enjoy!

summary: The sound of footsteps, soft words from parents, a few tears from mothers and children, the train ready to leave - this is the normal atmosphere of a new school year. Like every Hogwarts students, they met for the first time in the train, but little did they know at the time that from that moment on they would never let go of each other
Lucy Gilmore, come from a large and noble pure-blood family, and has just started her first year at Hogwarts. It was simple, she had to get on the train, sit next to the other children from pure-blood families, pray to get into Slytherin, make her parents proud, finish her studies, find herself a good husband, have male heirs and play the perfect wife for the rest of her life
That was plan A, but she didn't want to follow it and literally threw it away. She loves reading, playing Quidditch and playing pranks on the Slytherins. She's determined to go against her family and enjoy her life at Hogwarts with her friends. However, she never thought anything would happen to disrupt her 'plan B'. From practical jokes to shaky plans of attack and dubious outings to Honeydukes, follow the adventures of our favourite Hogwarts gang.

September 1971
The train had just left, and after saying goodbye to his parents, he felt alone. He had been so looking forward to discovering Hogwarts, he had been counting the days until the start of the school year and had gone to buy his textbooks before anyone else, but today he was afraid, very afraid. He had dreamt of this day for a long time, but when he came face to face with reality, he realised that it wasn't so easy to reach out to others, especially himself. Remus was a werewolf, a monster, he was bitten at the age of 4 and since then his life has never been normal. Of course he wasn't going to tell anyone, it was hard enough to make friends, but if he had to tell them that every month he turned into a wild beast

But for once the universe took pity on him and he managed to find a seat in an empty carriage. He took out his book and the sandwich his mum had made for him. He felt more comfortable away from all the noise and excited children. Just as he had finished his first page, the carriage door opened (perhaps the universe wasn't so generous after all). He didn't look up, out of embarrassment, it didn't matter if he came across as rude, he didn't dare look at the person who had just entered.
If he knew, if he knew at that moment, that precise moment that this person was going to change the rest of his life.
If he had lifted his head he would have seen two intense blue eyes, so blue and so deep you could have lost yourself. These two jewels were surrounded by a cascade of golden locks that sparkled in the sunlight.
If he had lifted his head, he would have seen a smile that was both reassuring and laughing.
If he had dared to lift his head, he would have seen HER.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope you enjoyed it, I'll try to publish it as soon as I have time. All the characters belong to J. K. Rowling, I only own the character of Lucy and her family, the Gilmores. I apologise for any spelling mistakes in the book and remind you that English is not my first language, feel free to comment
I'll be posting information about the characters in the story soon.
Please note that I do not wish any violent or disrespectful comments towards other users or myself. byye

Later, at the Minami house, Fisherman Minami closed his eyes and took a deep breath before saying anything. Carefully, he bowed his head and apologized to his wife. “Tanira san, I am deeply ashamed of my behavior towards you this day. I can only say that I am used to being the one taking in catch from the other boats and was upset at seeing you and those girls from over at the Shop of Repairs doing it. You do know that they are spies for the evil ones in that shop, do you not?”
Tanira nodded a bow thoughtfully as she replied, “Minami san, I will accept your apology. That you were very upset at the turns of events lately is obvious. I did also expect you to say that last.
“If Minara and Takahara are spies, still, we owe them much. I took the Fish Market as a complete settlement for the golden cash that you stole from my dower rights. Looking at its books, I made a very bad deal. Without the help of those girls, I would not have earned enough to pay for the fish that we got today.
“Even if I tried your criminal trick of only paying for fish after it is sold, the Market's earnings would have been only a few of copper cash. With their alert and pleasant attitudes, they drew in many customers that would have passed us by. Because of them, we earned two of silver cash and three strings sixteen of copper cash after all costs including buying the fish at dockside.”
Slipping a bit from courtesy, Minami snapped, “And then you went to dine with those evil ones!”
“Minami san! After a long day of hard work, Ichuru san and I were invited to share a free dinner in pleasant company!
“On the dock you crowded to the head of the queue in front of those there first! You rudely called me 'woman!' and demanded over three times the value of your catch in front of all the fishermen! You were so completely rude that your own crew threw you into the water for some peace so that they could settle the value of the catch.
“You left such a sour ending to an otherwise excellent day that when Ichuru san and I were offered a pleasant meal in happy surroundings, YES, we took it at once!
“When we came out to come home, you ruined even that! If you are what is good and they are evil, I will take the evil at once!”
Her shoulders slumped and she began to weep. “I am sorry, Minami san. This conversation has gone badly. I wish that you could see why.
“Would you like me to fix you some dinner?”
Minami paused, taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly. He noticed Ichuru quietly playing with his toy boat on the tatami mats of the floor and his face softened. “Yes, Tanira san, I would appreciate that.”
Taking the small victory of her husband's being courteous with her, she went to the kitchen and began to cook.
For a wonder, it was a quiet meal and when it was done, Minami helped her to clean up.
The next morning both Minami and Ichuru were absent, so she had a quiet breakfast and went to open the Fish Market. Both Minara and Takahara were waiting for her. They had not been idle. All of the sun shades were up and in their proper places. The little ice that had survived the night was waiting.
Takahara bowed politely in greeting and said sadly, “Poor Patsu san was right. There is a lock on the ice house door and a note saying that the key will cost you a cash of silver.”
Concern in face and voice, she asked, “Poor Patsu? What has happened?”
Both Minara and Takahara shook their heads in sorrow. “It was last night sometime, after the tide started to rise. One of Sabo's regular fishing boats, the Chrysanthemum of the Sea tried to fish in the waters near to Dry Island after dark. There is a strong tidal bore that comes out from between Dry Island and the Rocky Eyot. The sudden current caught them and pushed the boat onto some rocks sideways.
“It rolled over and three of the seven men on her drowned. Patsu came out to our dock first thing in the morning and found two of the bodies. In spite of being broken up, she saw the survivors on that dangerous rock beach on Dry Island. She took a small boat and some floats out.
“Not even our boats are safe near that beach. She let the floats out on a long line for them. She pulled all four of them to safety at our dock. On the way in, she found the last of the drowned men. She was really upset by that.
“The ones that she saved went and got a Constable to complain that she should have come for them in a bigger boat that they could ride in, instead of being towed in on floats.
“She had to explain that a bigger boat could not have got close enough to get the floats to them and then snapped that since they were that ungrateful for being saved, she was going to charge them for her work, equipment and time in the rescue.”
Both girls started to giggle. “She did too. Went straight to the Tribunal and filed her claim, pointing out in the bill that if they had not been ingrates and complained to a Constable, she would have charged them nothing.”
Nodding at the ending, and smiling some, Tanira pointed to their cart with the ice chest. “Takahara san, if you would, they told me yesterday that they would see me cared for with ice. Could you please go and get us some?”
Takahara took up the pull bar and trotted over to the Sabo's Better Fish Market. The women there laughed at the idea of Minami trying to blackmail his wife for the ice that she needed as they filled the cart with sparkling clean ice.
Soon the Fish Market was open. The three of them had loaded their display trays and were busily cutting fillets from fish that were still good but getting a little stale. The filets were going into openwork trays that were being put into the sun to dry for commercial trade to the back country areas, far from the sea. Along with those, they were setting up trays of sea water to evaporate for salt, also valuable in both Sabo and the back country.
Besides this happy industry, they were tending to a surprising number of customers! Word had gone out that Minami no longer ran the Fish Market and it was now busy.
In the midst of this, Minami and Ichuru came up from the dock area. Minami had a sourly triumphant lip curled half grin as he announced, “If you want to use the key to the ice house, you must pay me!” He was holding up the key. “It will only take a silver cash each time that you need it opened!”
Takahara snorted, “Really, Minami! You truly should use your eyes before opening your mouth!”
His eyes took in the trays of sparklingly clear clean ice! He instantly snapped, “Where did you steal this from!? You must have forced or picked my lock!”
Tanira had a grim smile of her own as she pointed to the key still upraised in his hand and nodded. Constable Canra who had come up unnoticed during Minami's outburst, plucked the key from his hand!

. I
. I just don’t have any friends jet and also, I would like to get to know the friends of my Husband, you don’t have to feel obligated because I am the Queen, I genuinely would love to be friends with you since we are also closer to age.” At first, they looked a little shocked that the Queen wants to be friends with them, but then they looked really happy and Jungkook answered for them:” It would be an honour to be friends with you my Lady and we would love to spend some time with you. How about we meet after our shift and walk around the lake, would you like that your majesty?” “Yes, I would absolutely love that, see you later.” With that she turned around and the guards bowed to her again when she walked off. The hole time she was smiling and couldn’t wait for when their shift was over. The Girl can already see a very good friendship blooming. And she wasn’t wrong in the next two weeks the boys and her became one of the best friends especially Jungkook, she also now had nicknames for them, Taehyung was Tae or TaeTae and Jungkook was Kookie or Guk. They walked around the Lake, strolled the Garden, went to the kitchen to steal some food and annoy Seokjin (the Queen called him Jin and they also became friends), helped Hobi and Jimin and played some games. The Lady found out that Namjoon was very smart and loved to read, so when he had time, she would go to him for some books she could read and sometimes they would read together. Jimin became her soul comfort, she realised that he only flited that much because he often felt lonely too. The boy was such a nice, kind and loyal friend and also very cute and good looking, especially with his cute round cheeks and beautiful smiley where his eyes disappeared. They are all very lovely in there one way and she appreciated that from all of them. Tae, Jin and Hobi loved to gossip, that is how she found out about all the good tea of the castle and also got to know her Husband a bit better. But she couldn’t stop wondering why he won’t want to get to know her too and why it seemed like he was not even at the castle. Even though she now had her friends, she still couldn’t help but feel lonely with out him.
So, one night worried that the King would never acknowledge her, she lied in there bed and staring at the sealing. The Queen was tiered, but she wanted to wait for him so she could finally talk to her husband and for once and for all, but all worries aside. After a while she turned around in defeat to fall asleep once again alone as she suddenly heard a sound announcing his arrival. The Girl closed her eyes to pretend that she was asleep and waited as she after two minutes felt the metres sink next to her and her husband getting in. The Lady had to hold her breath so that he wouldn’t notice that she is awake, when he suddenly pulled her very slowly into his arms and held her tight. She snuggled closer to him and finally fell asleep with a smile on her face. Will he also be there the next morning?
To be continued......

fire and blood the fanfic, chapter 16: Last fluttering of wings, prisoner exchange dark and i mean dark aemond and aegon as well as a lenghty chapter full of torture. Part 16 of a story.
Concept: You were aemonds and aegons fuckbuddy before the greens decided to take the throne, once they took the throne, they killed your father, you were upset about that but convinced they loved you anyway and since it was criston who killed them you didnt blame them as much for it, after you threw a tantrum at your fathers funeral after learning that aemond is engaged and aegon has a fourth child on the way, (and both ignored you for weeks and also didnt bother to be at you know, your fathers funeral) you all got into a huge agressive fight that ended with a lot of dark stuff and you getting shoved into a cage. HOWEVER- *Takes a sip of waterbottle* Aemond ''killed'' luc and you were allowed out to be his gift for his heroic deeds (their words not mine) and two assasins mistook you for Helaena, bringing you to Dragonstone where Jacerys proposed to you, planning to make your family the new high family of the reach, as well as dealing a hard blow to aemond and aegon in the process. But can you say yes?
warnings: dark aemond, dark aegon, non-con, dub-con, violence, war crimes smut breeding kinks, rough sex and other things. They call Rhaenys unkind things as well.
Otto, seeing that his grandsons did not inherit a single braincell from him.
Tumblr media
Jace still holds your hand, ready and eager to push his rings on your fingers. To make you his Queen. You gently slide your hands out of his. You know the iron throne. You know the realm. It's a cost you can't bear and nor will you pass it down to any of your possible children.
Your heart is broken. Your sister is gone, and they did it. They killed her. You killed her indirectly.
You help Jace up, as your friend, and as his future subject. 'You flatter me, my Prince. But even you must understand that I can't possibly accept.' You hope that is enough, but judging his face, it is not.
Your head bops up and down in Baela's direction. 'There are two ladies who should sit that iron chair, and none of them are me.' You hand him back his ring, gently.
He takes it very well. He stands up and straightens his back and keeps respectful. You expected him to throw a tantrum or perhaps to even cry. But he is no Aegon. He is not Aemond. He is Jace. He is calm and gentle. He will never hurt you. 'I am so sorry, Brienne. I had hoped you would accept this proposal.' Jace sighs dramatically, and the way he touches your face reminds you of Aegon.
You nod. 'I understand, my friend. I hope we can remain friends. We can forget this ever happened.'
Daemon reads the letter and his brows raise in mockery as he hands the paper to his Queen. She takes it from him and reads it, her heart clearly sinking. You watch in horror. 'More bad news?' You guess nervously playing with your bracelet.
The Queen sighs before giving her husband a nod. 'It is war, Brienne. You understand that I lost my son already.' She says. 'And a daughter too.'
A guard suddenly appears behind you, taking you into custody. 'Please escort Lady Beesburry back to her rooms. It is time I have a chat with my son and my heir.' She gives Jace a glare. You are grabbed by your arms and escorted out of the rooms.
-- The next morning, the reality is hitting you hard. Your sister is gone. She was good and kind. Sometimes, you fought like all siblings. You are glad she went after your father. He could not survive the thought of living in a world without her. But then again, neither can you.
You have been given a basket of books and do a bit of reading, but you end up reading the same sentence over and over and over. There are many good stories in your basket that you can't focus on. You have the feeling that a dark storm is approaching and it's coming in fast.
The door of your cell is unlocked, and two guards escort you out of it, to the throne room. Rhaenyra sits the throne and is waiting for you. She seems tired and restless. Daemon is near her side, and so is jace.
Still a lady, you curtsy. 'Good morrow, my queen. Is there any way I may be of service?'
Rhaenyra's smile breaks briefly, and you see that she avoids your eyes. 'I am sorry. You have no dragon. Rhaenys does.' What does that even mean? Of course, you do not have a dragon. You are Beesburry.
Rhaenys does. 'What does that mean?' You blurt out confused.
Daemon smiles, and you feel yourself become uneasy by his smug little smile. 'It means you are going back to sucking cocks and getting fucked soon. Aemond and Aegon agreed on a prisoner exchange. Your useless ass for Rhaenys and her dragon.' You are shocked.
Shocked because they agreed to that. You are so useless compared to a dragon or a princess. 'But I do no longer wish to be there. They will hurt me.' Your voice becomes small and breakable.
The Queen sighs and she seems to pity you. 'My hands are tied. We already agreed to meet them.' You wish there was another way. You will not go back to them. You would rather die.
Daemon seems to notice you are about to run and grabs you by your waiste as he chains you as if you are an animal.
--------- They choose a spot on neutral ground, near a forest. There is an open field near the King's Woods where they will do the exchange. The time has been set during noon. You were transported on Dragon back. You cried and screamed the entire ride. You never rode a dragon before.
You have chains around your neck and hands, and Daemon drags you along to the agreed spot. He and Rhaenyra and their children and all of their dragons are waiting for the two Greens.
During the sun's brightest hour, you notice two familiar dragons circling the skies before landing as well. Vhagar and Sunfyre. Aemond lands Vhagar and gets off. Sunfyre and Aegon land near you, and you keep your distance still not used to the gigantic animals they all seem so familiar with. You are more terrified of the dragons than of your fate.
Rhaenyra keeps her distance from both her brothers when Daemon sharply tugs your collar, dragging you with him to his nephews. You are forced to walk with him, but his legs are longer, so you need to hurry up.
Aegon bristles in anger when Aemond takes in your body. They did not allow you another gown, so you are still wearing the one you were captured in. His reward gown. Daemon halts in the middle of the field and waits for them to come.
Aemond decides to come over so his king can stay safely with the dragons and the guard. 'That is not yours, Uncle. That belongs to me and my brother.' He says arrogantly. You bite your lip. He looks to you. 'And you? You can prepare yourself for a proper and suitable punishment, Lady Beesbury.'
Daemon ignores your soft whimpers. 'Where is Rhaenys?'
You back away, slightly stepping on Daemon's foot. You are quick to apologise, but Daemon doesn't even seem to notice. He watches Rhaenys being dragged out by a leash as well. Her gown is ripped, and the once white fabric turned an awful crimson colour. She has burns on her body and also a huge scar by her cheeks. Aemond proudly takes her from Cole, who delivers her. Aemond seems to look around for her husband.
The Sea snake spots him. Aemond makes a show of grabbing Rhaenys by her throat and throwing her on the ground before handing Daemon the chains. 'We didn't fuck your pretty wife, Corlys. We like them young, and we like them tight.'
Rhaenys takes you in and judges your chains and fine dress. You mutter an apology to her. She turns around, surprised. She walks back to you. 'Do not pity me, child. I am free now. You are captured once more.'
There is a soft smack on your behind, and you growl out loud. Aemond tightens the chains by pulling them slowly, closing off your throat. With a sickened smirk, he carries you to his brother. You are dizzy when they place you on your feet.
You stumble in their direction. You had quiet hope that they would let you go free. You nearly fall, but Aegon captures you into his strong arms. Your eyes meet, and you slowly feel yourself become more at ease.
The Blacks take off with Rhaenys. Maelys follows soon after. You watch as they take off and realise you are at the mercy of your tormentors once more.
Aegon still has you in his arms. He leans in closely and presses his nose against your own before gently kissing your lips. He seems to breathe in your scent, and he mutters in high valyrian that he missed you. You break yourself free. 'I am not coming. I want to hear what happened to my sister.' You demand.
Aemond grins at his brother. 'Well it's simple. We wanted to lure you out to HoneyHolt and to trap you there. But since you are already ours now, that's unnecessary.' That is cruel. Your sister died for nothing.
Your head hangs and you tear up. 'You two really killed her. Why? She was everything to me.'
Aegons eyes roll. 'Enough, we will talk about it when we get home.' He warns you with his glare. Home. Does that mean they will change their rules? That you will have access to your rooms? To your ladies? You hope so.
You scoff at that. You are many things, but you are not a coward. 'I am not coming. And King's Landing is not my home.' You say bravely.
The king nods to his brother. 'Do it.' He says. Aemond eagerly grabs a small bottle of dark black essence from the pocket of his jacket.
'W-what is that?' You whisper, terrified.
He grins. 'A bit of nightshade. It does wonders for little brats who do not obey.' Nightshade is a dangerous poison that can knock people out or worse.
You back away. 'That's deadly.' To your horror, Aegon is already holding you tight, so you can't run.
'Only in high doses. You will get just a tiny little drop.' He places the bottle against your lips and gently pours a bit in your mouth. It is bitter. Aegon forces you to swallow it.
You are let go of the moment you have swallowed it. Aemond puts the bottle back in his pocket.
You are pushed inside the same cage they moved the princess in and the door is locked. You try to keep awake but slowly drift off to sleep.
--- You awake hours later. Back in the cell. You thought they would allow you back to your rooms. You get up from the soft bed and rush to the door. You try to open it first carefully but later desperately slamming against it, trying to rip the bars apart. 'No! No no!' You whimper before bursting into tears.
A voice chuckles behind you. 'It's not so bad. We could give you a regular cell. You are comfortable here, little bee. Much more comfortable than you deserve for your actions.' He thinks you left voluntarily. He says it's not bad, but you know he won't survive a day within this cage or any without going insane.
You tell him what really happened. 'They kidnapped me. I did not want to come with them. They thought I was Helaena. They called me the Queen.' You say.
Aemond grabs the belt of your dress that is decorated with jewels and takes it off. He grabs your necklace and rips it from your neck. You are aware that he is eying your breasts and slams you against the bars of the cells. The bars poke and hurt you.
There is a soft gasp from your mouth as he starts to leave small tiny kisses on your collar bone, to your shoulders, to your neck, and to your breasts. Your legs are parted. 'Aemond, we should wait for Aegon.' You remind him kindly. You hope it will save you again. In the halls it did not matter, but you were punished. Perhaps this will be different. Perhaps he will care.
Aemond has little respect for you but backs away because he loves his brother. 'On your bed, little bee. Do not make me wait.' You obediently go to the bed and sit down. You hope he wants something else than what you suspect.
He grabs his belt and takes it off, he puts his coat on the chair by your desk and slowly unbottoms his shirt. You shake your head lightly. 'No, Aegon is not here-'
There is an awful loud laugh coming from him before he comes over and forces your chin in his hands. He grins at you before smashing his lips on yours. You weakly push him away. It works briefly. The next time he comes for you, he pins you down and listens to your little whimpers 'Aegon does not care for your little useless body anymore. I am all you have.' You were unsure of your feelings for Aegon for a while.
But now you know for sure that you love him more than anything. You love him more than being alive. You break into tears. 'No...' You croak out, your voice breaking.
He sighs annoyed by your dramatics. He hugs you softly and plays with your hair. 'Shh.' He mutters in your ear.
You can't help but turn to Aemond for support. 'I loved him so much. Despite it all. I love him.' You confess crying. You seek comfort in his arms; you want to be held.
A harsh pain on your head forces you away from him. He glares at you and you realise you made a mistake. 'Ow...' You tear up again. You feel the spot that burns. He hit you.
You lower your head so he can't see the tears that fall. 'Enough of that. I do not like hearing that. Do you understand?'He barks raising his voice.
You are quick to nod and cower. 'Y-yes.'
He crosses his arms. You used to like it if they got a little rough, but this hurts you. 'Yes who?' He demands.
You angrily wipe away a few tears. You understand he wants to break you. You can't break what is already broken. And you are broken in every way. 'Yes, Aemond.' You spit out angrily. He grins at your fire and you know he is turned on by tour defiance as well.
He thinks clicking his tongue before touching your legs. 'No, that won't do anymore.' He says calmly. 'Yes, my love.' You are taken back by his request.
You thought he was too masculine for requests like that. You also thought his ...his desire came from lust. Not like Aegon's, what was clearly love. You understand at that moment that he wants you like his brother once did. He loves you.
You feel guilty. He probably thinks that with Aegon gone, you will answer his feelings. That you will finally pick him. But you can't. Your heart is too good to deceive him like that. To play him. 'I am not in love with you.' You confess. 'I do not think I ever will be.'
There is another smirk playing on his lips. You are grabbed by your hair and dragged to him. You end up on top of him and in tears. You feel his warm breath on your lips. 'For a girl so clever, you really act stupid. Aegon won't be feeding you. I will. I will cloth you, feed you, and if you ever like to see daylight again, you best do what I want.' You are terrified of that description. You'll never feel the warm sun again. You'll never see your home again. You'll never read a book again or see another person if he has a say in it. And if he wishes to, he will force you to have and birth his children in this very brick.
You break down. 'Now, like a proper pet this time.' You feel him gently touch the spot where he hit you earlier. You try to be strong. You lose your battle against the tears.
You push yourself to anwser. 'W-what do you want, my love?'
There is a brief silence before he chuckles delighted and leaves a soft kiss on your lips. 'Your pretty mouth must be tired. I bet I can help you shut up for a while. Perhaps keep you occupied as well.'
He wants to be pleased. You eye his crotch. 'Yes, clever girl. You figured that out quick. On your knees and open wide.' You are pushed on the stone ground and forces between his knees. You watch as he strips himself and forces your mouth open and closes it when his cock hangs in your mouth. You gently ease it in deeper. He chuckles. 'I remember the first time we did this. You never had done it before, yet you were a natural. Aegon joked that you were meant for this.'
That hurts you. You slow it down, not nearly as eager to get this over with. You lose your passion and your motivation. 'It's as if you are dead already, little bee. Do you need a few moments on my knee first? You do like it when I get a little rough.'
You roll your tongue over his length eagerly licking him and tasting him properly. You ignore the taste of it and welcome him much deeper and softly slow it down to soft teasing movements. He groans when rolling his hips against your mouth fucking it. Your hands are grabbed and forced on your back.
You realise that this is all you have left. You will do this until you die. You miss Aegon. Your heart bleeds. But you must keep aemond happy.
You realise that. He is all you will have. And if you are not careful, he will go away too. You quickly grab hold of his hands and force them around your neck so he can hold you. He relaxes with a twisted grin as a tear rolls down your cheeks. 'So sad, little bee. I know you are hurting right now, but you make me feel so good. I think you might even have a little reward if you keep this up.' You like the sound of that. You like his gentle touch on your head. You like the soft pettings. It makes you feel safe and loved.
You are becoming wet. Aemond rips your skirts and pulls down your undergarments, pushing you on the bed. You are pushed on your knees and your legs are spread before he roughly forces himself inside you.
'Nh!' That was a good one. You like that the pleasure slowly numbs your mind.
Aemond groans. 'That's it, girl. Cry and beg for me. Beg and fuck me. I know you want to.'
His grunts and his harsh grip and his smacks. You and your whimpers and soft groans. You are so close. You feel as if you are on the edge. One little push and you'll fall. 'I am nearly there.' 'If you wish to punish; get out now. I do not think I can take it much longer.' Sometimes your pleasure is denied by him. He likes to punish you that way.
He slams inside and takes you deeper when you cry out in pleasure. 'Come, little bee. Come for your new master. Wet my cock with your spoils and let me have your wet juicy cunt.' He growls out loud in your ear. Your eyes close and for a moment he pops up in your head. You see that damn smile.
You come. 'Aegon!' You cry out. The cock does not fuck you anymore. You turn around. You see Aemonds enraged face and you just know you broke his heart into a million little pieces.
You watch as he puts his clothes back on. You grab his arm quickly. 'W-wait! Do not leave me...' You beg.
He chuckles before a single tears rolls down his cheek. He grabs you by the throat. 'I hate you.' He says. That kills you as well.
You beg him to stay. 'Aemond please...' You think of your mother, your father of everyone that you lost. You do not want to be alone.
You beg him, clutching his ankle when he coldly gets up from the bed. Sobs escape your throat. 'Do not leave me too.' You beg him. 'Please...I'll be good. I will do what you ask. Please.' You even attempt to get him out of his clothes again but he smacks your hands away. You feel as if your fingers are burned.
He makes his way to the door and slams the door behind him. He takes out a familiar key and locks the door. 'I do not want to be alone!' You scream before whimpering.
He looks at you with a scoff. 'Your father is dead, your mother is dead, your sister is dead. And your brothers are soon to be dead too. You are exactly that what you fear. You are alone.' He leans in. 'I think that some solitude will help make you realise how important I am to you. I want your love. I told you that before. I do not care, how I will get it. I will get it eventually.'
You hug your knees. The next time you look up from them, he is gone.

Soft Thoughts Sunday- Lio & Lucie
We have four requests that are on one ask! I’m going to post them individually, then all together with the ask.
First up! Lio/Lucie- (I just love their relationship so much, I always wished I had an older brother figure in my life 😭) Lio consoling lucie either after a fight with her boyfriend or with her parents đŸ„°
A/N: ME TOO!!!! Let’s pick up after she gets grounded for throwing the party that Lio pretended he threw when Nico and Lexi were out of town. (He really thought that was believable?)
Lucie is sitting at the kitchen table, glowering ever so often at her dad where he sits across from her and reads a book.
“I don’t need supervision for algebra.” She mumbles.
“Mmm and yet your childish actions last weekend proved otherwise.” Nico says, flipping the page of his book. He doesn’t even look up. Lucie glowers harder. Nico pretends not to notice.
More silence ensues except for the scratching of Lucie’s pencil as she solves her problems. The noise of the garage door opening perks Lucie’s ears. Good, her mom and sisters are home to take her dad’s attention.
“We are home!” Lexi cheers, coming in and brushing her hand along Lucie’s brown hair. Lucie jerks away from her mom’s touch. Lexi crosses her eyes at her husband in annoyance and meets him with a kiss.
“Well, I’m happy to see you.” Nico says, running his hand discreetly over her butt. Lucie notices and shudders with a gag. Lexi sighs at their daughter’s obvious contempt for her parents. At least the other two still love them.
“Remember when Lucie was a baby and she went through that stage where she would only contact nap with you?” Lexi asks Nico.
“Yeah, that was tough during the season when I was on the road.” Lucie slams her book shut, grabbing her stuff and glaring at her parents.
“Some of us are trying to learn.” She huffs, then dodges her two younger sisters to go up to her room.
“I think we need to call in the reinforcement.” Nico murmurs, tugging Lexi down into his lap. She tosses an arm around his shoulder, stroking his long hair back from his face.
“Yeah, we are suffering more than her with this arrangement.”
Lucie is staring at the ceiling of her bedroom, watching the shadows of the leaves dance against the white paint. A knock sounds at her door. She doesn’t respond.
“I have gelato.” Lio’s voice calls. Lucie bounds up, tossing the door open and throwing herself into his arms. Lio has to carefully catch her, swerving the ice cream cones around her limbs.
“How are you allowed in here?”
“Your dad called me.” Lucie bites her lip in response.
“My parents are the worst.” Lio hands her the chocolate gelato before going to sit on her desk chair. Lucie curls her legs under her on the bed, looking at her cousin for his support.
“You know they aren’t, LuLu. They love you. And you scared them.”
“I didn’t do anything wrong.” She snaps.
“You broke every single rule. And you got caught doing it.” Lio chuckles, kicking his feet up onto the bed next to her.
“Who’s side are you on?”
“Yours. Always. But
If my mom lets me go to Canada next year, I’m not going to be here to save you from this stuff. You were scared Lu. Things could have gotten bad. You need to be careful. ”
Lucie’s heart clenches at the realization that Lio may be leaving Switzerland in a few months. But, the last thing Lucie wants is to be careful. She wants to throw that all into the wind and be who she wants to be. Not what everyone else thought Nico Hischier’s daughter should be.
“Do you ever think about what life would be like if we had different parents?”
“No.” Lio shakes his head. “I wouldn’t have you. That would suck.” Lucie considers then nods.
“But we also wouldn’t have all this shit either.”
“Luc, one day you aren’t going to live in this house anymore
maybe not even the same country as your parents either. And you’ll want all of this back.” Lio gets up, joining her on the bed and pulling her in for a hug. She hates how pensive he has gotten with his impending junior trip. Although, Lucie isn’t quite sure Auntie Em is going to come around.
“One day, you and I won’t live in the same country either
” Two tears drip down Lucie’s face as she talks. “What if we grow apart?”
“You and me? Nah. We are Lio & Lucie. Nothing is coming between us. I won’t let it.”
Lucie smiles, sitting up so she can eat the rest of her melting gelato.

February 2023 Recap
What I learned in February 2023:
I learned not to count on next month being any easier! We had plumbing issues that cost us $600 right off the bat, along with a dog attack! I'm okay, and I now have met so many of my new neighbors.
This month I started feeling very serious about becoming a mother soon. I started reading a book called Spirit Babies. I am laser focused on cherishing the next few months with my husband traveling, and riding roller coasters while we can. I also read The Alchemist, and that really changed my perspective on life moving forward.
I also started gardening a lot in preparation for the first spring in our new home. I've planted hundreds of flower seeds all over, and I am excited to see them bloom in March or April. They will serve as a good reminder that planning ahead, and putting the work in will yield beautiful rewards.
What I accomplished in February 2023:
We caught up on all of our bills, and invoices.
We had a great Valentine's Day outing.
I did have a great outing on Galentine's that resulted in a last minute concert, and bar.
My Florida trip got pushed to March, but I did see my siblings in San Antonio.
I did get Chanel shoes, and an emerald necklace for my birthday.
What surprised me in February 2023:
The Mavs trading for Kyrie. I did not realize how cool of a person him, and his partner are. That's why I read The Alchemist. I've also been watching his partners Youtube channel because her videos are super informative on motherhood.
I'm surprised by how much I've grown and matured since my last birthday. A year ago I never would've believed the house we bought, having an employee, and talking about kids.
The days I remember best in February 2023:
My sweet sister making a basket in her pregame warm ups. It warmed my heart seeing her smile with a sense of pride when she made it!
Having margaritas at Taco Heads with my husband on my birthday / national margarita day. Plus the free tequila shots. It was bittersweet because I was leaving the next day for San Antonio.
Seeing Leon Bridges in a club while with my friends. Cringing at myself for asking for a selfie.
Walking through showrooms in Dallas with my husband dreaming about furnishing our home. Grateful to have a husband who has the same tastes as me.
The person who played a huge role in my February 2023:
My husband for financing the entire month for pretty much nothing in return.
The Find Guru on YouTube ramping me up and getting me excited and prepared for motherhood. Encouraging me to take better care of myself.
My best, and worst moment of February 2023:
My best moment was visiting my siblings, playing with them for a few days outside in the country. Making a positive impact on their lives makes me feel really good.
My worst moment was again losing patience with my husband and saying mean things to him because I couldn't empathize with how he was feeling. For some reason I felt really triggered anytime I came home from work, or being out. I really wanted to be out of the house a lot. Rescheduling my birthday trip threw a huge wrench in our schedule and this month was by far way more stressful than last but especially on my husband. I was a little selfish with him this month. Luckily, we talked it out and I think I can go an entire month without arguing too bad. (Keep in mind we own a company together and see each other 24/7.)
What I wish I had done differently in February 2023:
I wish I didn't schedule Austin for so much filming. He worked literally every single day this month other than maybe Valentine's. I wish I had the nerve to say no more this month. It's hard with money, and wanting to go on trips. Our vacation getting cancelled really sucked, and ruined the entire month for my husband.
What I stopped doing in February 2023:
I stopped reacting when I get work text messages and emails. I look at them at face value. If there is a problem, I am honest about it because there his nothing I can do to change it. For example, because I learned overbooking was so horrible this month I can't feel guilty about giving somebody an appointment that's 3 weeks out. If they get upset it's their own fault for not contacting me sooner. I can't let this affect my life any worse in March. I also started posting to Instagram more instead of worrying what my clients might think if I'm out having fun and not working.
I only went to the gym twice the entire month.
What I started doing in February 2023:
I started to take 1-2 photography jobs for March because I could use the money for our roller coaster trips. I raised my prices to make them worth my time.
Goals I'd like to achieve in March 2023:
More clean eating, and cooking.
Florida trip. Already scheduled for this weekend!
Spoiling my husband without resentment.
Camping with friends.
Spend more time with grandma.
Busch Gardens Virginia would be an insane stretch!
Happy and Healthy is next month's theme!

author grady green is having the best day of his life - until his wife, abby mysteriously vanishes and he finds her car abandoned by a cliff side.
a year has passed since abby went missing and there are no leads on her disappearance. grady, an author with a terrible case of writers block, mixed in with insomnia and a drinking problem, is approached by his agent kitty to live in a cabin on an island out in scotland as a way to get his life, and career back on track.
this novel starts off rather slow and i will be honest that during the first half of the audiobook i did often find myself having to go back and listen to parts of chapters again due to losing interest in the plot. by the second half the book does pick up, and the audiobook has some additional sound effects that do really help you get immersed in the book.
alice feeney does a great job at keeping you on your toes, and wondering what’s going to happen next. the book being set in a tiny scottish island was an excellent choice & learning how the small community remained as tight knit as they were was at times mind boggling, but also kept me wanting to know more about each of the characters and what lead them to this small island.
with that said, i was let down by the book as i felt the build up to the “big reveal” and the twists to follow were hard to believe, as they seemed extremely outlandish.
a huge thank you to NetGalley & MacMillan audio for the arc!
Spoilers below!
i have so many questions and thoughts on this plot oh my god.
i will talk about the positives first:
as i said above, the audiobook having additional sound effects for things like the walkie talkies really did help me pay attention. it made the narration much more interesting and managed to hold my attention, i think if i had read the book i wouldn’t have finished it.
the two abby reveal was a twist i did not see coming. when abby (wife) recounts the bad man trying to harm her, but she manages to escape it did confuse me as we had learned earlier that abby had been harmed by the man, repeatedly, during piano lessons. i honestly thought feeney had accidentally left a giant, gaping plot hole. finding out kitty’s real name was abby, and that she (kitty) was the abby being victimized during piano lessons really threw me off! i thought this plot point was executed really well, and was impressed at how feeney pulled it off.
....and now for the not so positives:
originally i had guessed that abby had voluntarily gone missing, choosing to leave grady because he was abusive in one way or another. when we learn that abby did not leave grady in a carefully thought out way, but instead left due to grady trying to kill her that night i was shocked. let’s be clear, i was not shocked grady tried to kill her - i figured from what we had learned about grady, he most likely was abusive, my shock was that abby had not originally planned to leave him that night! or really even at all?
i have so many issues about the night abby disappeared. for starters, what the hell do you mean a woman who went to great lengths to hide her fertility treatments from her husband, left a pregnancy test laying about the house!? on top of that - abby decided she would use a sperm donor to get pregnant and give grady a family that wouldn’t abandon him?! this makes absolutely no sense to me and i lost my mind when the audiobook reached this reveal. grady had vocalized he didn’t want children, abby knew this. instead of divorcing him she thought surprising him with a baby that wasn’t biologically his was going to fix this marriage? good god, woman.
on top of feeney wanting us to believe abby truly thought the secret pregnancy thing was a good idea - she also wants us to believe that the police didn’t really suspect grady? i could be mistaken here as most of the narration around the investigation was at the very start of the book but the police didn’t seem to care abby was missing? grady is an unreliable narrator, we know this as he discloses he has insomnia and drinks too much. however, he didn’t really speak at length about the investigation other than the police dismissing the concerns about abby’s large withdrawals from the bank account. sure, the police probably figured she went missing voluntarily but you’re telling me they didn’t even bother to check where grady’s cellphone was that night? we learn that grady called abby back that night while pretending to be a woman laying down on the road so he could attack his wife and try and kill her
he’s on the phone with her and the police don’t notice the two cellphones are 20 feet away from one another at the exact time she goes missing? also, whenever i am on a call on my cell, and the other phone has been within ~20 feet of mine
you get this very loud, nails on a chalkboard type of feedback on both phones! you want me to believe that, that didn’t happen?!?!?
on top of me not being able to believe the cellphones not having crazy feedback being that close together on a call, i also couldn’t comprehend how grady recognized abby, as aubrey, only to later decide they weren’t the same person. i know he was drugged up from that tea, his drinking & insomnia
but what the hell do you mean he suddenly decided the woman who is the spitting image of his missing wife, who he has spent an entire day or two chasing around because he believes so strongly aubrey, is abby, is not his wife at all!
only for it to be revealed aubrey, is abby
just in brown contact lenses. this is giving the same energy as when sailor moon transforms and suddenly the bad guys don’t recognize her as the 14 year old school girl she is.

Synopsis:
When a librarian moves to a quaint Irish village where her favorite novelist lives, the last thing she expects is to fall for the author’s prickly son
until their story becomes one for the books, from the New York Times bestselling author of Summer Reading . Emily Allen, a librarian on Martha’s Vineyard, has always dreamed of a life of travel and adventure. So when her favorite author, Siobhan Riordan, offers her a job in the Emerald Isle, Emily jumps at the opportunity. After all, Siobhan’s novels got Em through some of the darkest days of her existence. Helping Siobhan write the final book in her acclaimed series—after a ten-year hiatus due to a scorching case of writer’s block—is a dream come true for Emily. If only she didn’t have to deal with Siobhan’s son, Kieran Murphy. He manages Siobhan’s bookstore, and the grouchy bookworm clearly doesn’t want Em around. When Siobhan’s health takes a bad turn, she’s more determined than ever to finish her novel, while Kieran tries every trick in the book to get his mother to rest. Thrown into the role of peacemaker, Emily begins to see that Kieran's heart is in the right place. Torn between helping Siobhan find closure with her series and her own growing feelings for the mercurial Irishman, Emily will have to decide if she’s truly ready to turn a new page and figure out what lies in the next chapter.

My Rating: ★★★★
*My Review Below the Cut.
My Review:
I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would at first. For the first quarter or so I thought it was cute but kept getting pulled out of the story because the language felt clunky and kept tripping me up. I kept running into phrases like "she threw off the throw" which are grammatically fine, but sound really weird. And the language in general felt a little bit simple or juvenile.
But then, around a third of the way through, the story hooked me. I fell in love with the characters and the language stopped tripping me up. I don't know if the story found its groove and flowed more smoothly, or if I just stopped noticing it because I was too focused on what was happening in the story. Either way, from that point I loved it.
And that ending! I cried, like a lot. More than I've cried at a book in quite a while. I wasn't crying at the romance for a change, but for the story as a whole and the relationships between all the characters.
I think I would place this more in the category of 'character discovers herself' rather than strict 'romance.' It's a romance, sure, but that's not all it is and it's not always even the driving force. The romance is just a piece of what drives Emily to reinvent herself into the person she was always meant to be.
I would also recommend reading with a box of tissues beside you.
*Thanks to NetGalley and Berkley for providing an early copy for review.

This was my first read by this author I love the best friends brother trope throw in a marriage of convenience and some grumpy sunshine and I was sold! I really tried to get into this one but it just didn’t work for me I liked the characters and the storyline was good but what threw me off was the plot twist wasn’t all that interesting it’s not as bad as it’s portrayed to be it wasn’t shocking I didn’t feel the heartbreak and angst I usually do with these types of stories. So all in all I did finish the story but I probably wouldn’t reread it again although saying that this one hasn’t put me off of this author writing she has a plethora of other books that I am going to jump into and by no means am I saying don’t read this one also the steam was spicy and I did enjoy the bdsm aspects of it.

Accidental Love (book 1): The Husband Hoax by Saxon James
Christian
Being invited to my cousin’s wedding really shouldn’t be such a big deal except, oh yeah, I haven't seen my family for a decade.
My parents turned their backs on me and I’ve done everything since to become successful and show them what they lost. Only, it’s kinda hard to be a success when you’re a walking trainwreck.
So I’m going to fake it. Hire a guy with an online presence so impressive they’ll be desperate to welcome me back into the elitist fold, and roll into the wedding with the kind of confidence I’ve never felt a day in my life.
The plan’s a knockout.
Until my fake date cancels minutes before the ceremony.
Émile
One letter from my dearly departed grandfather, and suddenly I’m on a husband hunt.
He’s reworked his entire will so I’m set to inherit far more than I'm entitled to, and all because he’s asked me to use that money for “good”.
In order to get that inheritance, though, there’s one stipulation: marriage.
Even with his request, I’m tempted to stick to my original plan of getting as far from my wretched family as possible, and letting them fight it out.
But then I run into a tall drink of scattered mess outside of a wedding who’s in desperate need of a date, and the pieces click into place.
I help him, he helps me.
Marriage, money, then go our separate ways.
Easy.
Now all I have to do is stop myself from actually falling for the guy.

My Review: 5/5 Stars
Christian is the clumsiest and sweetest guy ever. So it’s no wonder when Emile crosses Christian’s path that it’s truly love at first sight. (Not that anyone will admit that just yet.) He really stood no chance to falling for Christian. And Christian learned quickly that Emile is perhaps the most honest and real and genuine person he has ever met. Christian hasn’t had it easy when his parents threw him out when he was 17 for being gay. Years later, he is invited to his cousin’s wedding and he wants to be there for her but also show his parents that he is put together (sorta) and deserves respect. But when his fake date falls ills, he is contemplating leaving. That is until Emile finds him. Emile was paying his respects at his grandfather’s wake. A man he genuinely cared for unliked the rest of his family (except his sister). And when he sees Christian he is struck by this sweet guy and when he hears his story, he immediately offers to help. And help he does. For every klutzy move Christian unfortunately makes, Emile is there to smooth it over. It’s adorable. And their chemistry is no natural, you would think the two of them have been together always. A crazy day leads to a crazy night. And then later a crazier plan. When Emile tells Christian about his inheritance and how he wants to do his grandfather proud by putting the money toward something that matters, Christian can’t help but want to support him. Especially after Emile rescued him. But to get his inheritance, Emile has to marry. And these two crazy guys decide to get engaged. As they jump through hoops with crazy family members and their shenanigans, they fall for one another a little more each day. And the lines blur between what is real and what is not. A lot stands in the way of a happy ending for them both, but together they’ll figure it out. I really loved this story! And I’m mad at myself for not picking it up sooner! Also took me until the end to realize one of the characters I just read in another of Saxon’s books. Everything truly does connect! But this story was just so fun. I couldn’t stop laughing and poor Christian just has the worst luck. But Emile is just always such a good sport. And instead of running in the opposite direction, it only brings him closer to Christian. Great chemistry and just an all around fun story! I’m looking forward to when the next book comes out!

It was the height of autumn.
The leaves turned red, dusk crept in faster, and there was a growing nip in the air.
The dragons had taken to gorging on anything and everything the dragon keepers offered them, as if preparing for the lean winter years. It would not be long, they said, before the dragons retreated under the pits to sleep away the winter.
Even here, in the Red Keep, life grew slower, with the rooms and corridors growing darker. Torches were lit everywhere, and fires were blazing to provide the warmth and light that the sun couldn't. Despite everyone’s efforts, the cold still crept in through tiny cracks and crevices, as if the season was determined to have the last word.
Today, however, was tolerably pleasant, although you debated if "tolerably" was the right word. As a lady of the Summer Isles, you were accustomed to warmer weather and sunnier skies. Still, this was the place your husband called home, and you were determined to love it.
No, you tell yourself. This isn’t just your husband’s home. This is the place your unborn child will call home soon enough.
Your hand fluttered to your growing belly. Two more months, the Grand Maester said. Two more months, and everyone will know if it is a son or a daughter.
Your husband didn’t care if it was a boy or a girl. He was just eager to be a father. A father who was driving everyone to distraction with his plans for the nursery, the midwives, even going so far as to insist on being present for the birth. Not that you minded. You were just happy to indulge his whims, often shaking your head and grinning whenever he went overboard, something he did frequently and without shame.
A pelt being draped over your shoulders brought you out of your daydreaming.  "You’re shivering." Daemon had walked in, silent as always. "Come sit by the fire, you’ll be warmer."
You studied him, discreetly, as he went over to the hearth to add more logs to the fire. Daemon was much calmer now, a far cry from the bundle of brash energy he was when the two of you wed. He also looked a little surly this afternoon. "What happened at the council meeting?" you asked, as you made yourself comfortable on a large sofa. Daemon finished his task and took his usual place next to you, picking up a book as he did so. He threw an arm around you and sighed.
"The pissant everyone is determined to make king has been visiting fighting pits every night for weeks now." Daemon rubbed his eyes, wondering how his brother managed to sire one such as his oldest nephew. Perhaps it was a punishment from the Gods for what had been done to the late queen Aemma, he reasoned, though he'd never say it aloud.
"Fighting pits?" You inquired, your gaze drawn to the book in his hands. It was dubbed, The Songs of the Seven Kingdoms. "Like your boxing?"
Daemon sighed and shook his head, his mood darkening. "I wish it was the case. We all do. No, my sweet, this is nothing like that, where there are judges and rules and where the opponents are grown men.
"But I’d rather not talk of that." He continued after a moment’s pause. "I just want you to promise me that you’ll come to me if Aegon comes anywhere near you."
You'd heard the rumors about the prince; everyone had. But hearing something that was passed off as mere gossip confirmed as true was a frightening prospect. "It cannot be that bad
." You say in disbelief. "I mean
. Aegon is a prince
 He’s Viserys’ son, surely he
"
"Aegon is nothing like his father, so promise me," insisted Daemon. "Promise me you’ll come to me. Aegon is nothing like the sweet princeling he pretends to be. He’s far more dangerous than you think."
You swallowed as the gravity of the situation started to sink in. Daemon had moved with and fought alongside some of the most dangerous men in the kingdom. And if he thought Aegon was that bad, then—
"I will come to you if Aegon approaches me," you promised.
"Good," Daemon was pleased. "And how have you been? How is our child?"
"A little uncomfortable now that the baby is getting bigger, but I’m good. And the baby is healthy," you said indulgently, rubbing your belly. "And growing strong. The Grand Maester is very happy with everything. He said two more months before the baby is due to make their grand appearance."
Daemon placed a hand over yours, his joy matching yours. "That’s good. I told Viserys I’m not going anywhere till after out child arrives. He agreed."
"And I’ve had word from my mother," you picked up a letter on the side table and hand it to him. "She’ll be here before the birth. She also said four of my father’s finest warriors will be coming with her, and that they’ll be staying here as my sworn protectors. It’s rather odd, since I never asked for such a thing."
You tilted your head to one side when Daemon went red in the cheeks. "Husband," you said in amusement. "What did you do?"
Daemon groaned and mumbled something under his breath.
"Husband," you snickered. "What. Did. You. Do."
In one quick breath, Daemon  finally mumbled: "Imayhavebadgeredyourfatherintosendindwarriorsforyou."
"I’m sorry, but what?"
Daemon groaned again, speaking more clearly this time. "I- may have - badgered your father into sending warriors for you."
You just chuckled and buried your face in your hands. "Oh Daemon. It’s not necessary, my love, really."
"Not necessary?" Daemon stammered in shock. "My dear wife, did you not just listen to a word I said about Aegon? And have you not heard of that brother of his?"
And there he goes, being the protective husband. You couldn't fault the man because your own lord father was exactly like him. It honestly made you love him even more. "I heard you. And yes, I have heard the stories about Prince Aemond. Alright. Father’s warriors can stay."
"Thank you," said a relieved Daemon. "Now, enough of dark topics. How about something light?"
"Like this book?" You hold up the Songs of the Seven Kingdoms. "Perhaps I could read it?"
Daemon picked out a story, about the North and the children of the forest. He was content to let you read, his hand still over your belly.
The afternoon drifted on, with nothing but you reading stories out loud and Daemon rubbing your stomach whenever you grew uncomfortable. He became aware of something beneath his palm. Muscles rippled as something moved. "What’s that?"
There it was again, and this time you too felt it. "That, my love, is our baby." You put the book down, placed your hand over his. Sure enough, there was another ripple. "Kicking at my insides again."
Daemon grinned. "A child of true Targaryen and Summer Isle stock then,"  he said it so gleefully, you forgot your discomfort in an instance. "I wonder if they would be the one to bond with Grey Ghost."
You gave him a double-take. A wild dragon? Your child wasn't going anywhere near a wild dragon. "Grey Ghost? No."
Daemon’s eyes glinted mischievously. "Sheepstealer then?"
"Not on your life!"
He tsked and thought about it again. "I know! The Cannibal!"
"No!" You grinned. Daemon was only teasing you, after all. "My love, can we please stick to the practice of placing a dragon’s egg in the babe’s cradle?"
"Spoil-sport," he said cheerfully. "Alright, my love. An egg in the cradle it is."
"Thank you." You allowed Daemon to take the book. He then spent the rest of the afternoon reading to you and the child in your womb.

(Alicia Silverstone as Young Lucy)
Right in his seat, he was surprised by the young girl's request. Of course she could sit with him, he wasn't that rude. Trembling, he began to examine the girl who had just sat down in front of him.
He'd seen very few girls in his life, in fact he could count them on the fingers of his hand. However, even if he wasn't an 'expert' on the subject, he had noticed that girls were quite discreet, calm and generally quite shy. They always stood up straight and smiled discreetly, as if they wanted to be forgotten by the world.
One of his childhood friends, Amélia, was a girl like that, always very pretty but never very talkative, even less so than him. His father had told him at the time that this was what was called behaving like a "Lady"; and as he didn't know many girls, he always assumed that they were all like that.
But when he saw the young witch struggling to get her book out of her bag (not discreetly at all) and cursing the whole genealogy of the poor bag, he knew, even if he wasn't an 'expert' on the subject, that this girl was different. Sensing that she was being watched, she raised her head and their eyes met.
He was red-faced with embarrassment, while she still wore that little laughing but embarrassed smile
Then she finally managed to get her book out of her cursed bag, she exploded with joy and let out a cry of relief. He couldn't help laughing, discreetly but enough for her to hear. Calm returned and the two pairs of eyes met again.
"Oh, you're reading The Three Musketeers! I love that book!"
Stunned by this girl's spontaneity, he took a few seconds before answering.
"Yes, it's true that it's very good".
"I'm reading Around the World in 80 Days, I like it, it's not bad, have you read Robinson Crusoe?"
Feeling more at ease, he answered easily, telling her how much he had loved that book. Very quickly a conversation about the books they had read began. After a few minutes, she asked him what his name was, realising that he had forgotten to introduce himself from the start.
He replied in an embarrassed voice:
"Remus, Remus Lupin
 and you?"
She gave him her famous smile and replied more calmly, holding out her hand.
"My name is Elizabeth but everyone calls me Lucy".

"Loki."
"Don't call me that."
Y/N raised an eyebrow at her husband and he grumbled angrily, pulling her closer to him. "Sweetheart," Y/N began, "You should go." Loki whined childishly, burying his face in her shoulder. "I'm not going anywhere," he firmly mumbled Y/N sighed, running her hand through his silky soft hair. "6th time. Yet they always invite you. Why aren't you leaving the house?"
"Because you're pregnant! I'm not going anywhere until the baby is safely out of you and you both are well taken care of." Y/N smiled softly at his concern but pulled away from Loki. "Well I think you need some sun, you should go. And no is not an option. You know what? I'm calling Tony right now and telling him you are going with all of them." Before Loki could object, Y/N picked up her phone and called Tony.
Loki had been invited by Thor and the other male Avengers on a weekend trip to the beach, sponsored by Tony Stark. Everyone was going; Tony, Steve, Thor, Bruce, Clint, Scott, Sam, Bucky, Vision
they'd also invited Loki, since he had now permanently settled on Midgard with his lovely wife Y/N, but he'd initially refused because he didn't want to leave Y/N alone.
She was 8œ months pregnant. Though there was still a week or two of estimated time remaining for the birth, Loki didn't want to leave because what if the baby came early? Tony, Clint and Scott, who were also fathers, had assured him several times since Y/N's pregnancy announcement that the baby would be okay, Y/N would be okay but he still worried himself sick everyday.
"Do I absolutely have to go?" Loki groaned, lying flat on his back on the bed as Y/N sat back down after her chat with Tony. "Yes. I need some time alone— you need some time alone. You're gonna give yourself a heart attack one day by how much you worry over this baby of ours. A nice trip to the beach with clear skies and golden sand and the blue sea will do you much good."
Loki sulked. Y/N, getting a teasing smirk on her face, nudged his shoulder. "Hey, there are gonna be girls in skimpy bikinis on the beach, you know," she suggested and Loki made a face, pulling Y/N down to give her a deep kiss. "I love you," he glared at her, "I don't care about those scantily dressed women. Fine, if it makes you feel better, I'll go."
"Yay! Now I can call Wanda and Nat and Sharon and Pepper and Maria and Darcy over so we can have our own day out! It's gonna be awesome," Y/N squealed, already busy texting as Loki sputtered.
Is that why she wants me out of the house that bad?
He couldn't blame her, though, the pregnancy had taken a toll on both the parents. Y/N used to be in pain all the time, had severe nausea and couldn't go out with all her friends like she used to. Now that the symptoms had started wearing off, he really couldn't blame her for wanting to have a nice day out with friends. "Have fun, darling," he smiled, giving her another kiss.
---
"Yo, Lokes, you ready to go?" Clint called out cheerfully as Loki walked towards the group of men, a scowl on his face. Yes, at home he'd agreed to accompany them on the trip but now that the day was actually here
"Not really but I don't have a choice," he grumbled and Steve smiled amusedly. "Y/N kick you out?" Loki rolled his eyes. "Yes, how did you know? She wants to have a girl's day out with the other ladies."
"I overheard Wanda and Natasha talking. Anyway, come on, let's hit the road!"
All of them got into two cars: Steve, Sam, Bucky, Thor and Loki in one while Clint, Scott, Tony, Bruce and Vision got into the other. Sam was driving, Steve was in the passenger seat, Bucky was in the middle seat and Thor and Loki were in the extreme back. "So, how's Y/N doing?" Bucky asked Loki, leaning back on his seat.
"She's doing well, the nausea and pain has stopped," Loki answered, following Bucky's lead. "I'm glad to hear it. Have you decided on a name? Because I assure you, Bucky is a really good contender," he grinned cheekily and even Loki laughed, shaking his head. "We haven't thought of any names as of yet."
"Are you looking for a Midgardian name or an Asgardian one?" Sam piped up. Loki blinked. "You know, that is a really good question," he muttered. "How about a Midgardian first name and an Asgardian middle name?" Steve suggested. "Why not the other way around?" Thor frowned. "Well, yeah, that works too," Steve shrugged. "Hm, that's a good suggestion. I will talk to Y/N."
"So is Bucky on the table—"
"No."
"Aw, man."

"Hey girl, after a long time!" Natasha grinned, giving Y/N a familial hug. "Hi, gals! Yes, I even got Loki to leave, took a lot of begging but he finally agreed," she sighed. "Could've just given him head or something," Pepper muttered and Y/N burst out laughing as the other ladies gasped. "Pepper!" Sharon exclaimed, shocked.
"What? It usually works on Tony," Pepper defended herself as everyone joined Y/N in her laughter. "So, ready to shop?" All the ladies got into a 7-seater car, with Maria in the driver's seat. "Can't wait! This Avenging stuff doesn't give me time for self-care, I swear. Haven't shopped in ages!" Wanda sighed. All the women agreed with her, muttering their yesses.
"By the way, Y/N, I've wanted to ask you this for so long now, have you decided on baby names yet?" Darcy questioned with a grin. "Oh! No we haven't as of yet, I have lots of good names but I haven't talked to Loki
" Sharon looked up from her phone. "Do you have Asgardian names or like, normal, Earth names? I have a feeling that Loki would want Asgardian names," she suggested.
Y/N frowned in thought. Sharon was right; both the brothers, Loki and Thor, took great pride in their homeland. She didn't mind, to be honest, Asgardian names were wonderful. "I like Asgardian names too, though, I'm open to it," she chuckled.
"Great! So if it's a girl, Darcy—"
"Darcy!"
"What? I'm just saying
"

"Brother?" Loki startled out of his thoughts, turning to Thor. "Sorry, I was
thinking," he cleared his throat and Thor smiled, sitting next to him. Around 6 hours had passed since they'd arrived at the resort and Loki couldn't get Y/N out of his mind. What is she doing? Is she okay? Should I go check on her? What if the baby is coming? Surely she'd call me if that happens

"About Y/N?" Loki went red and scratched the back of his neck. "Yeah." Thor clapped him on the back once, guffawing good-naturedly. "Don't you fret, brother, the ladies she is with are extremely competent! She will be okay, and plus, the baby isn't going to be here for another week or so," Thor assured him but worry gnawed Loki. Nope, I can't do it. He abruptly stood up, startling Thor.
"I'm going home."
"Loki—"
Just a second later, Loki disappeared.
---
"Mm," Y/N moaned, a spoonful of ice cream in her mouth, "Isn't it delicious? What do ya say
Rosie?" The baby kicked once. "No? Okay, well
Sarah? Petunia?" The baby kicked more. "Oh, you want masculine names, huh
Uh, Alex?" One kick. "I know, Chris!" Another kick. "Tom?" More kicks. "So you don't want Midgardian names? Well, I don't know very many Asgardian names
"
"I do."
Y/N shrieked loudly, dropping her tub of ice cream as she turned to see Loki standing near the bedroom door. "Loki?" She picked a book off the nightstand and threw it at him. He caught it easily, sitting down next to her while keeping the book where it was. She instantly cuddled into his side, tearing up. Sure, she was the one who was too eager to send him away but she was also the one who couldn't stay away from him.
"Aw, hey, I'm here, my love," Loki whispered comfortingly, rubbing her back as she sobbed into his arms. "Don't go again. I missed you," she sniffled and Loki pressed a soft kiss to her head. "That is also why I came home early, darling, I missed you too," he laughed and she snuggled even closer to him.
"Little baby Axelia missed you too— ow! No? So
 what about Lucinda? Ow, ooh
Priscilla? No?" Loki watched with an infatuated smile as she tried out different names on the baby. "What if our baby wants a more masculine name, love?" he asked and she turned to him.
"Hm, have you got any names in mind?"
"Well, Barnes was suggesting we name our child Bucky—"
"Ow! Nope, they don't like it."
"Oh well. He's going to be disappointed but what the baby says goes," Loki teased and Y/N burst out laughing. She stopped all of a sudden, giving Loki a small smile. "Please don't go anywhere again," she whispered and Loki shook his head, gathering her in his arms. "I missed you just as much as you did me, Y/N, I'm not going anywhere."
"I love you."
"I love you, too, min kjĂŠreste."
"...That's Norwegian, isn't it?"
"Beautiful, though, isn't it?
"Yes, very."
