nah cause imagine being abby’s little housewife, basking in your femininity every. single. day. wearing long flowy skirts because you want to. learning to knit and sew and alter all types of clothes in your spare time because you want to. absentmindly mentioning some new hobby or skill that’s piqued your interest to abby over the dinner you made.

that night, you two shared in your routines because abby left work early that evening, trading a little shift-time with a coworker on an you owe me one pass. she didn’t hesitate to let everyone know that it’s because she wants to spend time with her wife.

she gets undressed as you draw a bath. it smells of ylang ylang and lavender with a dash of gardenia. epsom salts are added to soothe her muscles cause lord knows you do zero heavy lifting during your day or else abby glowers and coos about how “you could’ve just asked me, baby.”

working a well-lathered sapo sponge into her skin because the love of your life deserves the absolute BEST pampering and if she won’t give it to herself, you sure will.

you two head to bed that night in married bliss (after abby initiates slow, languid sex, of course. how could she not when your breasts were right in front of her while you ran that prickly ass cloth over her shoulders? she’s from around the way, she leaving with something)

you wake up before abby most days to prepare her a nice, warm breakfast (cause she loves and takes care of you so its the least you could do, really, to show how much you appreciate her), and today is no different. you try to be as quiet as possible but abby sleeps like an on-call soldier, like she’s in an active warzone and the enemy could strike at any time sooooo nine times outta ten, the faint cadence of sizzling applewood bacon’ll have her stretching out of bed.

but anyways she comes to you from behind as you mix a little pumpkin spice into the pancake batter, nestling her palm into the nook where your waist and right hip meet. her hair is down this morning, so when she bends to press kisses along your left shoulder, the tips brush along the neckline of your satin camisole. its a miniscule thing of material, hem reaching as far as the apex of your thighs. even the soft patter of her tresses against your body would be enough to tickle you, and they do just that.

you shy away, giggles on your tongue and happiness dripping from your wide eyes. you tell abby to shoo if she’s going to make breakfast harder. she smiles.

moments like these remind abby why she works so hard even on the days that demand more out of her—physically, mentally, emotionally.

Hey could I please request headcannons for how Marc and Steven would act as yandads?

Hi!! Thank you for requesting, and sorry this took longer than normal. I have mocks rn and some important exams in May and overall struggling to correctly manage my time lol.

Tw: Yanderes themes + off-hand mentions of kidnapping.

Steven:

-Panic is his main mood when dealing with you; he honestly has no clue what he’s doing.

-He’ll be the one you’re around most, and normally the one to deal out any consequences for your actions (the worst you’re getting is a ‘stern warning’ and a ten-minute timeout because he feels bad).

-He’s never risen a child before, and there’s not really any textbooks about how to parent a kid your alter kidnapped. I definitely get that vibe he would read mummy blogs though out of pure desperation (he’s trying his best </3).

-Steven is a big pushover. He’ll weakly defend himself if anyone accuse him - stating he’s just trying to make you happy - but it’s obvious enough that even he can’t defend himself properly.

-He’s pretty easily manipulated through your emotions. If you start crying, or even look slightly sad, the guy immediately backpedals on whatever it was.

-Since he’s super into Ancient Egypt, he knows how important interests can be. He’ll research into what like to try and make conversation. He’ll fully support any hobbies, skills, etc and try his best to support you if he’s able to.

-While writing this, I got this image of Steven, at like fucking 2am, half-asleep, trying desperately to understand all your ‘GenZ’ references like he’s studying some ancient literature. It’s an excuse to talk to you so he’ll take it, but god he wished you were a Ennead fanatic or something to make this a bit easier.

-He gives the vibe of randomly dropping some phrases that he hears you say to try and bond. He’ll probably give up after the first time though because you just stared blankly at him and he couldn’t deal with the embarrassment.

Marc:

-I guess it makes sense but Marc and Steven are both pretty similar in this situation, Marc just likes putting up a ‘i’m in control’ façade because he can’t correctly deal with his emotions (same).

-He’s even more scared than Steven, just better at hiding it. Obviously, his view on parental figures has been greatly screwed over by his own childhood, and despite vowing to himself he would never be the same, he always worries that he’ll cross that line.

-I think out of the two of them, he’d probably be the one to kidnap you, assuming that’s what happened, but he’ll be distant at the start.

-It’s not that he doesn’t want to comfort you, he just has no clue how to do it. And he will much rather show his love in his own way than mess up with his words.

-You’ll find little things you like around the apartment, or your favourite food just happens to be the one he brought for tonight.

-Honestly, I think he’ll also be a pushover. As much as he probably shits on Steven for being so, he can’t stand to see you disappointed, and he doesn’t have the ‘luxury’ (he never asks) of speaking to you everyday like Steven does.

-After a few months, he’ll start to be more open - small smiles, etc etc - but it depends on you mostly. If you seem happier, he’ll take over the body more, maybe for a movie night or a board game.

-If you’re just as or more angry/sad than at the start, he’s remaining firmly inside the headspace when you’re around. He’d rather live through Steven than have to confront the familiarly haunting look on your face.

A bit random but I have this cute thought of them putting more mirrors (or just any sort of reflective surface) around the apartment so both of them can hang out with you, even if only one can control the body.

Devotional acts

There are a plethora of devotional things one can do for their deity, and it varies from person to person, deity to deity. But, here are some that I enjoy.

Learning a language. Learning a new language is a great skill in general, but learning a deity's origin language, like for example, Greek, is a wonderful devotional act. I'm currently learning Greek in devotion to Apollon, and to me, it's a truly beautiful language. Though a little hard at times, haha.

Self care. Deities in general, especially if you're close with them, want you to care for yourself. So, dedicating your face masks, applying lotions or creams/ect, can be a great devotion for them. You can also draw their sigils in your cream or lotion before rubbing it in.

Art. This can vary extremely, because art is subjective to everyone's own perspective. But, some of the ways I like to do devotional art is by making poetry, or painting. Or, you could sing! Dance! Expressing yourself is a form of art in itself. You could dance with them, even. Which brings me to my next point..

Hang out with them. Now, for me, this can be literally anything you enjoy to do. Deities, from what I've experienced, enjoy the mundane as much as the celebratory moments. They want to spend time with you. They want to be around you. You could rant for hours, or sit in a peaceful silence. Do a hobby with them, invite them to eat a meal with you. I like to listen to music with my deities when I'm low on energy, or have a playlist I made for them play in the background while I do something else. It's a gentle reminder of their presence if I'm doing shuffle-mancy.

Meditate. Personally, I hated meditation when I first started. I was scared, even. Because I thought I'd fail terribly. But, with all its cliches, with enough time put in, I've gradually progressed to where I am now, and where I'll go in the future years. Meditation, with your deities in my experience, is one of my favorite ways to connect with them, besides astral projection. Connecting with Apollon's energy for example is and was one of the best things I've ever experienced. Feeling a deity's love, a deity's protection and care, is something I can't explain with words that make sense, lol.

E-Altars I started out with digital altars, and they're a great devotional act, in my opinion. Putting in aesthetics that remind you of them, their statues, quotes that remind you of them or your relationship with them, and so on, is another one of my favorites. Especially if I'm on the go. It also can help with remembering what they represent or what represents them. Like animals, colors, planets, ect.

The most important parts in my opinion is simply the intention, the effort, the heart, and purely just creativity. Devotional acts can be anything and everything, it's supposed to be personal, it's supposed to be unique. Don't be afraid to be yourself, or give what you can. Deities appreciate the work, they appreciate you. As long as you are being respectful, not harming anybody including yourself, you are doing fine.

In terms of your questions, I apologise i advance for the long answer im about to give and possibly things you already know haha:

I guess in terms of what classes i take, Ive gone from GCSE to A level Art and design (Fine art), and both courses have helped me to learn the importance of observation studies.

However, its moreso all the art i practice in my own time that has played the biggest part in my art improvement journey. I adopted art as a big hobby around 2018, and really ever since then I tend to draw/create for myself every day, however big or small it may be.

I guess my first tip would be to indulge in a 'sketchbook' or space to work in freely, it could be any form but the importance is that its personal and can be picked up whenever. I find that having a sketchbook to draw in has really helped with productivity and creating new ideas. I think you can go into a sketchbook space with any mindset and it can work wonders, like for example if you wanted to focus purely on challenging yourself, you can do that! If you just, want to doodle without thinking, go ahead! After all, its a sketchbook for you and nobody else, so go wild!

My next tip would definitely be, when you are feeling stuck in art, to take inspiration from a wide range of different things be it in real life or on the internet, a building or a really cool tree, since I find it defintiely fuels the creation of new ideas/concepts that can provide a path out of that creative rut. I guess to an extent there may always be periods where you have that 'I have no idea what to draw!' Feeling, and thats okay! Sometimes its refreshing that helps the most. But I often see that the solution to being in a rut is usually REFERENCING, wether it be trying to accurately draw the anatomy of an arm or if I just saw a cool design/pose/style on Pinterest and i drew a bunch of wacky characters from it. In fact, I find that places like Pinterest or Resplash are such good resources to hone imagination and generally most art skills by looking at and drawinf from all the cool images (and get some of that inspo!). And if im not using Pinterest, im usually using an art book as reference! (The itsv and splatoon art book helped me so so much lol)

On the topic of REFERENCING, its mega important! Depending on imagination/memory feels pretty good at times but its always beneficial to have image references in your process when you find its good to have them. I woudl always recommend having a reference when drawing poses/expressions/anatomy because the more you use them, the more you learn about how an object like a face muscle, a torso or even light behaves and looks and the easier it is to draw/depict them.

The next tip is uh YOUTUBE, or any account/person who's art inspires you in particular. I found that certain channels like Ethan Becker, Marc Brunet, Marco Bucci and more have helped me the most to gain confidence in drawing and learning how to practice it better. Of course, theres a lot to learn from a plethora of other channels too, even ones that dont specifically promote themselves as teachers! Also, if theres a certain style/art approach or an artist that appeals to you, study it in any way you like! Analyse an artist's work or ask/find out about their personal process (or even watch a speedpaint/art stream)! Sometimes it can be a big inspiration booster and skill boost to do just that (plus the 'artist' could be any piece of media/thing too!! Like a game or something).

Ok ok last paragraph haha, on the topic of your last question. Thinking back, its hard for me to define any specific moment or thing that gave me a 'click' moment. Its more like a process of growth that starts with learning and understanding a new thing, then familiarizing myself with using it successfully/'correctly' by studying and practicing, so that eventually its like muscle memory or easier to use in my work.

Viddian: ESFJ (Extrovert, sensing, feeling, judging) Viddian just LOVES people. To an unhealthy degree. She loves analyzing details about them, particularly regarding psychiatry, psychology, and morality. However, she only loves people in a purely entertaining sense. They're like toys she wants to play with, put in new scenarios to dance around in and see how they'll react. Once she learns enough, maybe they'll be thrown away. It's almost like she views herself as separate from them, though not necessarily above. Simply something different. To put it simply, she isn't as much 'gaslight gatekeep girlboss' as she is 'barratry, bludgeoning, babygirl'

Viddian: Nope! Nada! She isn't very interested in music, but she is partial to ambient sound.

Yuu: YES! She plays guitar, violin, and piano! She is a virtuoso at guitar, as she has played it most of her life as well as MADE it her entire life. She is intermediate at violin given it is something she practices on and off mostly just to maintain her skills, and she is a beginner at piano!

Jocia: Ahhh Jocia... Lets just say there has been an attempt at guitar as a way to bond with her sister, but she is a beginner.

Okay, small disclaimer before we delve into this: this is solely based on the perception I have in my head of Adrian Chase. This also isn’t listed in any particular order (just the order I copied and pasted it from lol). The more i wrote the more carried away I got oops. this isn't edited or revised but just pure nonsense spewing from the depths of my mind

Words of affirmation

In my mind, Adrian will constantly tell you that he loves you and that he misses you–especially when appropriate after the relationship develops. Without a doubt, he would compliment you on your looks, your new haircut, if he likes an outfit, if you smell good. He’s a chatty guy, he will say whatever comes straight to his mind. As for other things, I think you would tell him if you like hearing if he’s proud of you or deeper words of affirmations like “I value you”--he would say it, but he definitely says it in his own way. He definitely shows his appreciation better than words because in my head, I don’t see him being the best at articulating his feelings into words. But like, “you’re awesome!” or “dude (affectionately), you have no idea how cool you are for doing that.” Again, not as deep or romantic, but you know the intention of it. 

In bed? Different story. He loves praising you and….he loves being praised too. He will tell you how good you feel, how good you make him feel, complimenting anything his eyes land on, your skills, how in love he is with you. 

Quality time

Adrian is a sucker for quality time. Adrian in my mind is a bit clingy, but not in a negative way. I’m sure he gave you the proper space when you ask, but as mentioned in my other writings–Adrian wants to do everything with you from the most mundane activities to the most exciting. Doctor’s appointment? He’d be there holding your hand. Sitting on the couch with you and doing separate hobbies (Idk, I can see him cleaning his weapons and you’re doing a normal hobby, with the tv on in the background)? His favorite. Cooking dinner? He’s right beside you, or sitting down nearby to talk and ramble. Dancing in the living room together? He’s throwing it back. Singing horribly in his Vigilante mobile? You know it. 

Oh, don’t even get me started on his rambles. I’m not sure where this one falls in since it’s between physical touch and quality time, but I can vividly imagine this: two of you sitting on the couch, eating dinner, the tv playing in the background, your back is pressed against the arm of the couch and his is on the other, legs intertwined. Adrian is just talking, telling you random facts, stupid details about his day, going on about his missions that he promised he wouldn’t disclose with you (but does anyway), he talks about movies, the news—honestly, all everything and anything. 

Just seeing you in his line of sight is comforting enough for him. 

Coming back from patrols and missions truly makes his night when he comes home to see you, or knowing he’s hours closer to having you in his arms again.

He doesn’t want to miss a moment with you. 

Physical touch

This one definitely develops in the span of a relationship, all for different reasons. Emotionally, I think it takes a bit for him to understand what feels nice to be comforted and how you want to be comforted because each person is different. But also for him? He gives me touch deprived energy before you came into his life. 

He loves having you in his arms, making sure you feel safe and comfortable.

Basic things I’ve mentioned: massages, dancing, lotions on the leg, coming home and embracing you and lifting you off the ground with a twirl, peppering your face and neck with kisses, caressing your skin, needing to be touching you somehow, anyway. 

Brushing your hair, taking baths and showers with you, love bites, holding your hand while driving, back rubs to help you fall asleep, laying his head in your lap, his hand on your thigh when sitting together, totally fine with being either the small or big spoon. 

Obviously he can’t keep his hands off of you and you wouldn’t want them off of you. 

This man will make sure you’re satisfied before the night ends. He’ll keep going until you both can’t anymore.

Acts of service

Adrian shows his love with acts of service. I feel like this one tied with quality time, just in the sense that in the beginning of the relationship, these were the top two dominant ones. The basic act of service would be doing anything to protect you, right? It’s a given. Domestic wise? He would spoil you with simple things. I mentioned this before, but he definitely would love helping you apply lotion to your body, massages (physical touch, I know, but your body aches and he just wants you to be feeling your best self), if you cook, he cleans the dishes–or sometimes he cooks too. Holding doors open for you, developing photos you take together, killing the scary bugs, definitely pampering you wholesomely and in a risque manner—this man ALWAYS asks what he can do to make your day better. 

I can see him running a nice bath for you, pouring you a cheap glass of wine, heating up a towel for you when you get out, wrapping you up in one of his shirts or hoodies before pulling you into bed.

 Receiving gifts

This may not be the typical gift, but I can’t see him having a whole lot of money, but he sure is thoughtful. He’ll surprise you with your favorite snacks (this could be acts of service too imo), if you have a favorite show/band/book he will try to buy you something that reminds you of it, or even merch. He’ll fill your gas tank up without telling you because he wants to surprise you. He’ll definitely come home with dinner from Fennel Fields too. Oh!!! If they go on a mission a bit far, Adrian will pick up something random, but something that reminds him of you.

Mercury - Agua Machyna (temp name)

Aka Aquadom

Most technologically advanced among the kingdoms

Governance and culturally prioritized efficiency; scholarly and technology-focused.

Runs on diarchy, the two highest rulers are titled "Sage", gender doesn't matter.

Sages are selected intentionally seeking the balance between one being elected based on their scholarly passion and knowledge, and the other ruler based on strategical and logistical prowess. Intelligence and communication skills (+ charisma) are two minimum requirements to be elected as Sages.

Culture and vibes: Very scholarly and academia-focused. Not necessarily about looking for the next new thing, but more in the sense of always wanting to find the right answer to things. Disputes and conflicts are settled by... debates and evidence. Rarely violence. Tents and explorations vs towers and building of research and tech labs, libraries, and clinical facilities. Explorers vs historians & scholars vs crazy scientists or inventors, and advanced medical knowledge.

Many underground habitats and full cities were built because of Mercury's temperature given its close distance to Sol (Sun).

Multi-factors on the planet, based on profession/skill. (like no one would bat an eye when they hear an explosion in the Inventor's Corner [City]. But that would scare the crap out of all scholars in their book towers in the Scholar's Cave [City].)

Clothes: Kinda plain, not decorative or extravagant, a mix of futuristic vibes with retro-ancient vibes. Usually just a maximum of 2 colours in any outfit. Focuses on functionality, max 2 layers. The top layer changes depending on climate/temperature. Big hoods! Round-hoods for explorers and archeologists (outdoor exhibitions), pointy-hoods for scholars (library and academy go-ers), and no-hoods for lab workers and doctors, coz they need to wear all sorts of protective or assisting headgear anyway.

Affinity/Superpower: Water. Mercurians have varying degrees of attunement and adaptability to extreme temperatures due to their affinity to water to self-regulate temperate against cold or heat.

Motifs: water, round shapes or raindrop shapes, curved lines (river/water flow imagery), brightness, clean almost sterile.

Lifestyle: chaotic but healthy? There are a bunch of health and safety regulations and also daily reminders to make sure their people are eating and working enough instead of everyone becoming either hunchbacks from reading or blind from overusing their eyes for weeks on end. It's a 24/7 lifestyle though, people just choose when they want a break, when they wanna sleep when they wanna eat and make sure the appropriate personnel/machine/resources are always available when they need it. People are oddly absent-minded when they are not thinking about things that are their area of expertise, that's why they have technological helpers for daily stuff.

Upbringing: talent- and asset-focused; they let children naturally observe and choose what they gravitate towards or show skill in and follow the path of professional schooling and apprenticeship from a very young age. Would be shitty for folks who want to do something just purely as a hobby, or decide later in life they want to change course, but not impossible.

3. Biggest strength

Excellent question! I spent a little time thinking about this because I honestly don't think I have just one, clear strength - although I guess do most people, really? But in the end, I think my actual biggest strength is that I'm a little bit good at a lot of things. For example: I'm scientifically minded, which gives me a useful range of skills; but I also have a bunch of creative hobbies like music, writing, drawing and dressmaking that I'm fairly competent in. And it turns out that having some skill in a wide range of stuff makes you a lot more versatile. Like, for instance, when your PhD suddenly requires you to basically do arts and crafts for Science reasons, you can be like, cool I can basically already do that!

Obvious but: fandom shit. We're literally on dc tumblr lol, I feel like this goes without saying. I'm lumping it into one answer so this whole list isn't just a list of pairings and fandoms, but superbat is the current loml!

Music! I've been playing instruments and singing since I was a kid. I like basically all genres tbh, but my favourite genre to play is jazz and my favourite to listen to is basically any genre fused with funk. (This includes pure funk btw: put on September by Earth, Wind and Fire in my general vicinity and watch me absolutely lose my shit for 3 minutes and 35 seconds.)

A really good sandwich. The majority of sandwich ingredients are fucking baller (I am a slut for both good cheese and a nice seeded sourdough), there's near endless variety, they're easy to make, and it's socially acceptable to just stuff it into your face with your hands. Exquisite. My favourite (partly just out of nostalgia but whatever) is reker smørbrød (open prawn sandwich for the non-Scandinavian) on a sunny summer's day with the family, on the proper white poppy-seed bread with plenty of mayo and a good spritz of lemon juice. And yeah, sure, there's very obviously an element of nostalgia there. But it's my list and I can do what I want, so there!

Fashion I guess? I wanted to be a fashion designer when I was a kid, and although I decided a long time ago that I would hate that actually I've still always really liked clothing and dressing up. Ever since I hit an early quarter-life crisis during lockdown, decided that cringe was dead actually and started dressing like a low-effort e-girl basically all the time, I've been having a blast lol.

The brain. Look, the PhD may have thoroughly beat my interest in neuroscientific academia out of me, but my love for the brain in general remains mostly unsullied. If anyone ever wants a fun neuroscience fact, especially about dopamine (objectively the best monoamine neurotransmitter imo), I'm always happy to provide!

One of Khan's favorite colors is black - especially when it comes to clothing items and accessoires. It might be a remnant of his upbringing; He's always worn black and got comfortable with it, despite it being a part of his difficult past, yet he mostly just thinks that black looks cool on him and works best with how he perceives himself. Besides black, however, he also enjoys other (dark) colors on him - mostly dark gray or dark blue shades. That being said, he has other 'favorite colors' he simply likes to take in the sight of - like the evening sky with its purples, oranges and reds, or the bright blue sky during a sunny day.

Ever since coming to earth, Khan hasn't really been allowed to explore his surroundings too much - yet, because of a certain someone wanting to keep him alive and healthy, he was offered a wide array of foods, simply to try and figure out which would suit his needs and serve his body best. Yes, junk food was part of the selction; It was never offered to him from a 'real' fast food place, however, but Section 31's own canteen - regularly serving whoever worked there - did a rather good job in preparing most kinds of dishes. Khan ended up enjoying Pizza a lot; His favorite is the 'classic' one with pepperoni topping and cheese.

⛰️ - would your muse live in a remote location? If so, where?

Absolutely. With everything he's experienced in his life so far, he'd seek out a place that's a bit further away and surrounded by peace - perhaps somewhere within nature, close to a body of water where he could sit and just stare at the surface rippling away in the evening sky. It doesn't need to be earth, though - he's happy to be literally anywhere, any planet, as long as the air is breathable and the enviroment able to sustain life.

Khan usually takes showers, simply because taking a shower is quick and efficient. However, he's certainly not one to turn down a nice bath, especially when his body hurts and feels sore all over; He's only taken baths a few times in his life, and most of them after having suffered before (both physically and mentally) - but that's precisely why he's been enjoying them, as the hot water eases pain and helps relax his muscles. Vega is absolutely allowed to join him in both the shower or the bathtub - as both locations can be used for a lot of different purposes, after all... ;).

🏹 - does your muse have any cool hobbies or special skills?

He can solve a rubic's cube in a couple of seconds (lol). On a serious note - Khan doesn't really sing, but if he were to, he'd be a great singer. Due to his increased lung volume and the low tone of his voice, it sounds deep and full when he sings - especially since he's got an easy time striking the right note for whatever song he sings, and he's quick to take in lyrics and remember those effortlessly. Other than that, the only 'real' experience he has with hobbies / skills is that one single game he's been allowed to play back at his home planet - an incredibly difficult strategy game, meant to sharpen soldier's minds and prepare them for their education. His kin often plays those games in groups, especially while spending their (almost nonexistent) spare-time, as it is one of the rare things that allows them to have some fun and socialise with each other. The game is entirely randomized and based on both math and pure chance alone; A hologram of a rectangular prism constructed by cubes, lines, numbers and letters, the players have to defeat the computer-based antagonist acting against them by solving (and constructing) complex (alien)mathematical-experimental equations while also being forced to make quick decisions that leave them no time to think of a strategy. Many of those chance-based, randomized sessions cannot even be won by a living being, which is part of the experience. Yet, despite the fact that Khan always struggled with keeping up, having had to retake tests, being classified as 'below average' amongst his own species, he'd actually, surprisingly so, been known as one of the best players of that game.

Hello, I am one of the other 5 Jacob Hopkins fans on planet earth. I’ve been planning on writing a redemption fic for Jacob as a way to make something meaningful out of the 1000s of hours I have spent daydreaming about this loser, as well as to make a rebuttal of sorts to all of the people in the fandom who thinks he is pure evil and deserves to be horrifically murdered. 

The fic only has 4 paragraphs at the moment because I suck at writing, but the basic idea for the plot goes as follows. 

After his last appearance in Thanks to Them Jacob gets arrested for harassment, setting up illegal traps, etc and serves time in prison for a couple of months to maybe a year. He is then submitted to a mental rehabilitation facility because he’s him. In the facility he unlearns all of his conspiracy theories, including the ones about the existence of Vee, Eda, and the demon realm as a whole. He basically gets gaslighted into believing he was hallucinating everything magic related. He is then released from the rehabilitation center and stays with a family member who lives in a town close to Gravesfield and acts as his ward (I currently have it as his cousin). The fic starts 2 years into his stay with his cousin and Jacob is relatively sane and able to deal with his NPD (he has that by the way) and the traumas he experienced during his time as a conspiracy theorist, as he works at some kind of low skilled job to help pay for bills and things.

Eventually the plot happens and he begins to slowly figure out that magic, demons, and witches do in fact exist with a heavy amount of angst. Current idea for that happening is Hunter just showing up because Luz, Vee, and Camila realized one day that they have no idea what happened to Jacob after he was arrested so Hunter does some Reconnaissance for old times sake (Camila might be there too). Then more plot happens until Jacob is properly informed of and then brought to the demon realm via the boiling isles human realm exchange program, where he makes peace with his past and properly addresses what he did and apologizes.

With that in mind, here is my request.

All of the personality traits, hobbies, backstories, and everything else about Jacob Hopkins that you’d be willing to share. And also some feedback about the overview, what ideas and themes could be explored, and just your general thoughts would be nice.

Oh boy I hope you're prepared for a lot of rambling, your fic sounds absolutely AWESOME and I'd love to read it when you post it! I also don't really understand the abundance of hate he gets in the fandom. Like I understand not liking him and he IS kinda annoying, but I've seen people that like Philip treating him like the antichrist. Tbh I'm not really too bothered by it from a moral standpoint because he isn't real but it does make me a bit sad (my autism has latched HARD onto this character)

The cousin aspect is also a funny coincidence because I'm also incorporating his cousin into my AU because she's Masha's mother lol, and the NPD would make a lot of sense tbh. I think a cool idea to explore could maybe be his relationship with Eda since iirc she was the first demon he came in contact with, I also think while he's relearning that magic and demons and witches exist he'd still struggle a bit with not seeing demons and witches as people because he finds them fascinating (obviously he'd get better about this but it'd be fun to explore a few of his flaws during his redemption n stuff!) I also think exploring a possible friendship with Gus would be cool, since Gus is heavily interested in humans and Jacob is heavily interested in witches though I'm not sure if Gus would be comfortable with it at first from the whole scene where he gets arrested. I unfortunately can't do most of these for my AU since Eda is deceased and the idea is moreso him getting what he wants but facing consequences for it (and not learning because he has someone around to encourage said behavior.. ooo mysterious)

As for headcanons I have A LOT of convoluted stuff about this guy bc I too daydream about the loser daily lol. I unfortunately have a bad problem with forgetting stuff as soon as I go to write it down BUT I will do my best to give you some unsorted headcanons. A lot of this will be explored in my AU specifically once I get to it lol. Also some of this might be contradicted by canon because I unfortunately cannot rewatch the series until my brother is ready to bc I promised. hope I can give you some good inspiration though!

- I think he's pretty tech savvy and good with computers. Probably cares a lot about his appearance online, maybe more than his appearance in real life.

- He definitely gets a lot of stuff for his collection that are (supposed to be at least) magical artifacts, but he also buys novelty items, taxidermy, weapons, old junk, etc. Basically anything he finds cool.

- Was actually planning to buy the old house (y'know, the one with the portal door that I think the wittebanes used to live in?) and turn it into a sort of research facility for himself away from everyone else. I imagine in canon he would've been really mad when he heard the Nocedas bought it.

- I personally think he has always been into theories and had a few weird beliefs, and the fixation started off harmless enough but it ended up escalating to the degree it was hurting other people and himself when he got a picture of the owl beast and moved to gravesfield.

- Speaking of above in my AU he is mostly influenced by a group of people online and radicalized if that's the right term. Most of them are a lot like him and just.. heavily misinformed. Basically his beliefs got more and more outlandish over time to the point where it impacted his everyday life and the people around him. He sees them as his friends though. They play DND. Yippee.

- Masha and him are related as I said before, Masha pretty much sees him as an uncle. I hc they'd actually hang out at the historical society with their friends once they got back from camp, and Jacob would show them and their friends his collection sometimes but he probably wouldn't let them touch anything.

- Masha and him bonded over their shared love for cryptids.

- In the canon timeline I hc Masha cut him off after finding out what happened with Vee and Luz. Pretty sad but honestly kinda deserved.

- Personality wise I think he can come across as kind of an asshole but he doesn't really realize that he's doing it. He's gotten better at it since he got his job, but his only interactions with someone could be arguing and he'd assume they're friends when the other person hates him.

- When interacting with other people if he assumes someone doesn't like something he does and wants to appeal to them he'll simply lie and say he doesn't. I hc he kinda has a problem with lying about himself and putting on different personas with people.

- Projects onto Philip a LOT because of his own experiences with his brother and it's one of the main reasons he fixated onto the story of the brothers wittebane so much (will go into more detail in the AU on this one, don't wanna spoil too much)

- Undiagnosed autism and ADHD. Because every character I like needs to be autistic (joking) I feel like he doesn't get it checked out because he thinks "well I don't have a problem functioning so there's no way I have that kinda thing"

- Definitely into the fantasy genre with the whole renaissance fair thing. Likes DND and probably game of thrones (I know nothing about game of thrones so I can't talk about it more lol) I also think he's into the owl house universe's equivalent of pokemon + MLP but that's more on the downlow.

- Does not like birds. Even if he didn't think they were spy cameras (which he does) they still freak him out. Masha has a pet pigeon and he hates it.

The de-facto leader of Team Starstruck, he bears many titles and many friends. The Technological War started by the Nullari wasn't exactly his first rodeo into adventuring considering he got dragged around since his birth and subsequent crashing into Dreamland. Friendly and curious, Kirby's seemingly innocent outlook surprisingly hides a lot of vigor, and his balanced stats as well as a jack-of-all-trades system of his Technician ability absolutely helps to get in and out of fights easier. He can interact with a lot of weapons and items more than the rest, and even make use of it when he finds the chance thanks to his ability now giving him what amounts to technological addiction of sorts.

Skills and Abilities

Overview:

Kirby's main copy ability in this AU is named Technician (exclusive for this AU as well, more explanation regarding this ability will be shown soon), a contact ability that he can get out at any time by activating his Adaptor Chip, albeit his is a prototype. The chip is also binded to Robobot Armor, causing most of his skills to be with them... at first, as later a loophole lets him to access his own modes with a bunch of differences.

Due to his affinity to copy abilities, his ability's specialty is Adapt. This results in his powers circling around Ability Modes, which grants him different weapons and skillsets depending on what ability he is storing. Without any modes, he wields the Virtual Drill - a hardlight drill that he crosses his arms in front of his body to use, albeit he can attach it to any part of his body if he so wishes - by default.

The helmet also gives him the ability to fix broken technological devices by touch.

Without the Technician ability, if he chooses to let it go (since it’s not binded to him), he can use copy abilities and stuff like any pure puffballs do.

Strength: Because of his variety of moveset pools, he becomes the jack-of-all-trades. As long as there's something to scan (mainly attacks and weapons - he CAN scan actual people, but doing so will cause whoever gets scanned to be stunned for a moment), he can change battle styles on the fly. But even without that, while his moves are contact-based, don't be fooled, his range is still quite massive, as he can and will use his erratic movements and 'acrobatics' to reach enemies that at first glance cannot be reached.

Weakness: Kirby has to maintain stamina, as his bounces off it. He has to preserve it well or he'll get tired easily. He is also limited to one mode at a time, and as his normal state counts as a mode, he cannot go back and use his drill at any time unless he discards his current mode. Also, if you're smart enough, you can feasibly counter his moves by either playing into his gimmick or try an advantage, especially on certain modes that are elemental in nature or mostly more support-based.

Your art is so great! What program do you use? Curious because I would love to know how to replicate that water color vibe. Unless it's traditional art, in which case- wow!

Hi! Thank you very much! It isn’t traditional art (I’d be amazed too lol) and I want to be up front about that. This is going to be a long answer but I hope the explanation helps!

I played around with a variety of programs, but the combination I found worked best was these two:

Sketchbook: Free iPad app that allows you to upload reference images and freehand anything in a variety of styles. The layering feature also makes line art and colors a lot more convenient.

MidJourney: This is a discord plug-in that does a wide variety of things ranging from fully AI generated images to image editing. I use it for editing, because as I’ll explain in more detail below, 100% text prompt based image generation does not work if you’re trying to create a specific character. It costs a subscription fee, but I was already using it for a side job of mine so I thought I’d try applying it to this.

To basically summarize the process I use, I first create line art with flat color in Sketchbook, then upload these images to MidJourney and play around with settings until I’ve created something I like. I’ll explain in more detail below because it’s a little complicated.

The Sketchbook part is pretty basic, but for this purpose the most important thing is to make basic art (flat color works best) that emphasizes specific features you want. This can be the character’s hairstyle, clothing, pose, or distinct facial features. Flat color and basic background elements will also help establish the vibe.

And once you start playing with MidJourney, the need for this part becomes apparent. For example, if you just open up MidJourney and type “Katara sketch” you get something like this:

Which really doesn’t look like her at all, and looks pretty whitewashed. So, reference images are very necessary if you actually want something resembling the exact characters and scene you’re trying to draw.

You can somewhat narrow in on features with text, but the more text inputs you give MidJourney, the more confused it gets and you get some wacky stuff. Especially if the picture includes more than one character. For example, I tried using pure text for some Yue x Mai art, and got things like this:

Even though I was specifying a dark haired woman with pale skin and a white haired woman with dark skin, it switched around the traits and got them confused. Plus, no iconic Mai hair (unacceptable). So again, it really needs image input for specific characters.

It definitely takes some playing around with too, but here are more tips:

Use a combination of text and image prompts. Reiterate key features of your image inputs in text. You can also use text inputs to specify the style you want.

Use variation tools. MidJourney will give you 4 different variations with each prompt, and will allow you to choose one of these variations to either slightly or majorly vary for even more options to help narrow in on the right design. There is even an option to select a certain region of the image you want to vary while leaving everything else the same.

Play around with other settings (still figuring all these out). Probably the most useful one for fan art is reducing the amount of “stylization” MidJourney does to the image. --style raw gives you an output that draws most literally from your inputs, but there was an update recently that I believe allows even more fine tuning.

I hope that helps! I also want to reiterate that I never claimed to be a great artist and that this is a hobby I’m not profiting from, so I don’t want any more speeches about how I’m cheating or whatever. I’m an engineer, not an artist, and I’m applying my skills to something I love, to create things I enjoy. And I’ll be completely open about how I do it too, because if someone else wants to use the same method to make art of their favorite characters, please do! I would love to see what you create.

How would you describe me based on my placements? I’m a Pisces sun in the 4th, Libra moon in the 11th, Scorpio rising and Aries Mercury & Venus (both in the 5th)

Pisces sun is artistic and adaptable. They crave harmony just like Libra does and they like things to be peaceful. Prefer to live in their heads and not in reality, can be delicate and soft as well. Underestimated because they aren't noticed easily so usually take people by surprise.

Sun in the 4th will have a big connection to their upbringing or family. It could have shaped who they are massively whether they want to admit that or not. Can also be traditional or naturally caring and nurturing. Has a big interest in cultures and history. Can also love to cook or bake or do any type of domestic hobbies. Naturally intuitive and can be defensive when they or someone they love is threatened.

Libra moon is the ultimate mediator. They can often find themselves being stuck in the middle of arguments, especially at a young age. As a kid, they may have enjoyed this or done this voluntarily to reach peace and they could have been quite proud of themselves for being able to achieve it. But this feeling is often temporary as years of doing this will take a toll on them. Can have issues voicing their opinions or worrying others because they don't want to hurt or upset anyone.

Feels safe when they are truly seen and acknowledged and accepted for who they really are. Could have been the one to stand out or be a little weird.

Scorpio rising can be subtle especially when meeting people for the first time. Most water risings will be quiet and reserved, but Scorpio energy isn't shy or scared of anything really. So if anyone tests them, they will bite back lol. It's actually better if you don't test them because they will hurt you. Aries venus is playful in relationships. Can be almost childlike and pure when they like someone which is very cute. Prone to admiring their partners a lot and almost putting them on a pedestal kind of like Pisces venus. It is hard to keep their attention only because they are distracted easily and need a lot of stimulation but if they choose to stick with you then that's it. Will always be fun to be around and have you going on adventures or doing something competitive.

Venus in the 5th can have high standard for relationships. The types to not settle for just anyone, but when they do find someone worthy they will treat them in the best way. Zhongli the F2P

The most relatable out of the bunch because this man is still broke and can only rely on the primogems he can farm. And he had a LOT. The one thing he doesn’t have a lot on, however, is his luck.

So how did he manage to pull you?: Well after exhausting all his primogem on your banner with nothing but weapons and other characters, he has lost his resolve. But by some weird luck, there was a character bug that was fixed and in his email was the almighty consolation primogem. Enough for ONE pull. And by the Gods he FINALLY got you.

He’d nonchalantly post his screenshot of pulling you using a single acquaint fate in his friend group without any words and everyone else just loses their shit. “You got them in one pull?!” “Yeah” A riot.

This was partnered with the fact that not only is Zhongli an F2P player, but also barely has any five star characters.

He looks calm and apathetic over the news, but behind the screen he’s exhausted and relieved, silently livid.

He has no primogems left to squeeze for a constellation so you’re instead pampered with the best weapon suitable for you (because that’s all he keeps getting).

Zhongles spends most of his time farming for materials to quickly level you up, unlocking all your stories and voiceline, but he fucked up on your build (his artifacts are messy).

He follows communities, forums and videos regarding your character to know all the things he needs to perfect your build. You can barely make a dent against normal mobs, so he knew he was doing something VERY wrong.

Is the type of person to keep refreshing the page for new content, very updated.

Ask him a question about your character and he’s gonna bring you the word vomit that is his research. He’s not gonna stop- probably accidentally developed a copypasta for you.

Also follows your VA in both Tiktok and Twitter to indulge in every bit of content. He also has that screenshot of his pull saved and locked.

On his birthday, a friend of his gifted him a chibi plushie of you and he has treasured it ever since, treating and handling it like its a figurine.

“It is merely pure luck and grace from the gacha gods that I got this character, and I will make sure that they know I am very grateful for this fortune.”

Childe The Whaler

This lucky wealthy bastard with no remorse for his money whales for EVERY character. He’s making a collection, which is to get all the characters, especially the five stars. So when your banner finally popped up, he’s gonna square up and trigger a whole ass meteor shower.

How he pulled you: Money. His luck with this games are actually not the best so he always compensates with money, he got you halfway through the first failed pity, almost giving him a heart attack that he might actually break the bank just to get you.

And then he pulls more to raise your constellation lol.

The first thing he does is look over your character info and read through it all; constellation infos, your base stats, artifact compatibility.

At the end when he’s maximized everything, he would then focus on playing around with your character *coughs climbing noises coughs*

He thought you’d just be another part of his collection but playing with your character was very enjoyable and in-line with his playstyle- oops 100 screenshots with the Kamera-

Any and all merchandise that he fancies would be his, and he’s definitely flexing it to the other sweetie nerds who call themselves simps. He’s fighting for the simping title, and he’s currently neck and neck with this fanartist in Pixiv.

Speaking of that fanartist, he definitely commissioned an expensive and detailed portrait of you, full rights and everything. No one else was allowed to use it but him.

Was also the first one with the audacity to call out your VA to create an account on Tiktok to create more content with your voice. He was successful.

His obssession also comes in the form of self-indulgent contents, and had been keeping track of the ship wars happening. During conventions, he cosplays as the character shipped with you the most (or the character he thinks should end up with you).

Silently scrutinizing those who cosplay you, only ever taking pictures with/of the best looking one, sorry haha

Definitely flaunts that you are his waifu/husbando and will fight for best girl/best boy during debates or polls. Has mobilized the community to vote for you once. He’s very persuasive.

“Hm? Why I’m just the best collector in the game, and I am more than happy to let everyone know that I am their number one fan haha, everyone who claims otherwise is definitely wrong!”

Ganyu the Employed

Ganyu, our dearest overworker, is one of the players in the older stage who actually has a job but still plays Genshin for their past times. The gorgeous sceneries and the music is her main focus in playing the game, not much of a try-hard but still decent in the combat mechanics.

How she pulled you: You came home within 50 pulls! And you appeared again after another 10 pull! Ganyu was so SHOOKT and so distressed because oh goodness, what does she do? She doesn’t know anything much about you!

Will rewatch your three trailers to try and understand your skills better, ended up saving the soundtracks from them because that was such a nice trailer music! Tnbee gains a new follower!

Ganyu will take a while before she can properly play or build you up because she’s so busy with work, she only ever plays when she feels fully done with her work.

During her break she plays with your character while multi-tasking on eating, earphones plugged in and sight on the phone as she farms materials and artifacts for you.

The moment she gets more help from her player friends tho, holy shit, you just ended up being so OP. She had so many good artifacts and weapons for you because she didn’t know what they were for before.

She loves how you’re so easy to use and can easily solo the enemies and even the boss fights. A huge breather, because now Ganyu can cheese the battles that takes a while, to give her more time to focus on the storyline and lores.

Since Ganyu plays for the story and aesthetic, she’ll find you almost always in her team. Still very proud of her pull, she makes the best screenshots of your fights or in the best angle through exploration.

Treasures you so much she starts talking to her phone- “Ah, no, please don’t fall.” “There’s violetgrass up there, let’s try and get it”

Blushes everytime you produce a sound when climbing, doesn’t change you anyways tho

Hums to your trailer music while working, and if permitted, would have the song on repeat while she buries herself in work. She finds it really refreshing and the time she spends in work miraculously flies by fast when she gets lost in the sound.

At one point, when she was given a day-off or if the convention was on her free time, she attends to look for cosplayers of you and take a picture. No one rejects her because she’s so adorable and cute when asking shyly.

Had brought a decent amount of merchandise, preferably the functional/practical ones like a phone cover, mug or keychain. Also has an earphones clamp with your little chibi self as the holder.

When asked, she would shyly announce that she likes your character the most.

“Their character theme and music really soothes me during work, it feels nice to have them, and I have not once regretted ever pulling for them. They are the best.”
