Another scene from the fanfic I mentioned*, plus an additional cinematic parallel in the second one. Again, this could also work as a canon divergence!AU (gen or otherwise):

Adar has used the uruk tunnel digging skills or the sewers to infiltrate the city and grabbed Celebrimbor right from underneath Annatar's nose and taken him back to his camp. Celebrimbor, hurt and exhausted, collapses.

Adar finds Celebrimbor in the ruins of Eregion before the uruk turn on him and brings him back to the camp and contemplates why Sauron might have had such an interest in the elf.

they flee Eregion after everything is over and stay in some burnt-down barn to recuperate or sth idk
