the brush sensitivity is really really nice. pen strokes flow a lot smoother there compared to ibis so i love doodling in procreate <33333333

brush variety is crazy /pos, love the graphite feel ones

so yeah uh. HASKLDJSALDSALKJJ i love procreate for its pros but now my process is usually procreate sketch -> ibis color -> procreate finishing touches 👍 or the inverse. really depends on what kinda piece im working on ig LOL (dd comic was done in reverse ibis -> procreate)

that said, id say getting procreate was worth it tho solely for the purpose of expanding my arsenal o7777 it just feels like i have more tools now

Honestly first thing that comes to mind is that it should be fun! I find that having ppl focus too much on only fundamentals early on can hinder your enjoyment immensely

Just try getting into the mood and find the joy of creating something out of nothing; draw ocs or ur faves making out tongues galore, maybe just a page full of eyes or cute little doodles of aliens wearing thongs, w h a t e v e r. Also that not everything has to be perfect, it’s totally okay to make some ugly ass art and in fact it’s good for you. Sometimes u just have to be a messy bitch

It can also help finding artists and styles you really enjoy and studying what you really like about them, like how someone paints/uses colors or how another artist draws faces, etc. Gotta start somewhere. Then you can really hunker down and try to focus on fundamentals. There are so many wonderful resources out there now, esp on YouTube to really nudge you in the right direction. It can take years of pain figuring this shit out, but it's also very rewarding when u finally see some progress

But it's also totally okay if drawing doesn't end up being for you! There’s so many other mediums out there you can use to express yourself. Honestly I kind of want to try whittling, seems like it would be relaxing and fun at the same time

hii, i read your the twilight effect + your write-up afterwards. its definitely something i will be thinking about for a while. i love your twilight so much.. i do not normally read fan fiction or really much of anything at all, so im not too good at like complimenting writing and the sort.. i really loved the fluttershy chapter/trial and also found their interactions during the festival really adorable. and fluttershy + rarity on the bleachers with twilight at the beginning was also so cute. the entire epilogue was so wonderful to me, i loved seeing their relationships after the incident. theyre all so cute and best friends. i also loved the progression throughout their senior year. like idk, something about twilight having a rough hs experience but a great and friend filled senior year.. she deserves it soo much. and she had some tough moments but she overcame them.. love it. well i apologize for the rambling. i couldnt read something that wonderful and not say some words of appreciation.. essentially thank you so much for writing TTE and being willing to share it with everyone..!!!

and yes!! the epilogue ended up as long as an act by itself, but i think it was necessary for the type of story i wanted to tell ;v; bc, my own highschool experiences shaped a lot of what i wanted to express w this story, and perhaps its a little bit of a love letter to my high school self that hey, you will make it! it will be ok!! that type of feeling, it's what i wanted to convey, so im so very glad that it was able to come across

Okay so you know @/a-narcissists-warren right?

Funny thing they have their asks open and answer non question like stuff (basically just talking)

Well my friend started talking to them in anon while also adding an anon sign off so Afonso could recognize em (they used the 💽🎞 emoji combo)

And Afonso always* drew a little doodle when answering them, they even drew the anons and gave them unique designs based off their emojis

When I saw my friend talking to Afonso (who is literally my idol) I ofcourse wanted to do it too so I sent in a few asks (one or two asks really because i was nervous and shy) ALSO using an anon sign off (though i got the short end of the stick because my anon sign off had stuff to do with trees my lil guy was a tree too)

Then new anons started appearing so Afonso started drawing them designs too

People REALLY loved the designs and everything was going jolly

Then Notepad anon made an account for their anonsona

Everyone LOVED the idea and started making accounts too

The anons were interacting with eachother, drawing eachother fanart, blah blah blah everything was so fun and jolly!!

BUT there was a certain anon (I've seen a few names used for them like funny, odd, creepy but most common was silly anon so ill just call em that) silly anon had an account way before they started sending asks to Afonso

I wasnt there to see it myself but from what ive heard Silly Anon is canonically a child, back when the account first started people sent "asks" to silly anon just brutally murdering them woth gory descriptions that i wont be talking about now, this of course affected the child a lot and the kid grew up to be extremely violent (they were canonically 7 years old when they started sending asks to Afonso i believe) they also closed their own ask box because they were scared of getting hurt again

Silly anon would brutally kill people if not given enough candy (they of course loved candy bc theyre a literal child) so there was a full on massacre that happened because silly hadnt eaten enough candy to calm down

I believe it was here when we learned of a power Afonso had, they could draw in the air with their finger and anything they drew became real! But if they drew too much theyd experience a burn out where their hand was literally burnt and they couldnt draw properly

So Afonso started drawing candy for silly anon and when they couldnt draw because of a burn out they went and bought some for them

Afonso also tried to treat silly well and made them feel welcome (acting like a parental figure in my opinion)

So silly started trusting Afonso

Afonso drew all the dead people back to life and everything was alright again

Timeskip to when sillys canonical birthday came, they were turning 8 years old, they made a post about it and tagged every anon, everyone gave silly candy and sweets!! It was going so well until ONE ANONYMOUS ASSHOLE stabbed silly anon, silly healed quickly but was enraged, seeing red even, the ask box closed back up and silly went on another rampage literally killing EVERY ANON THERE IS and they were killing these anons using methods people ued on them, making the anons live trough sillys trauma

Okay so every anon was dead, Afonso was outside while all this was happening so when they came back they were horrified, every anon was dead and silly was so mad they even wanted to kill Afonso but Afonso started crying about how they couldnt make silly feel better, become a better person and theyve done all that they could

Silly dropped their weapon and hugged Afonso falling asleep on their shoulder because they were exhausted from all that killing, they breathed out a white gas from their mouth recovering every anon thats body was still intact and not turned into a pile of gore

Afonso drew all the other people back to life so now every anon is back EXCEPT ONE, 💽🎞 anon (who we like to call dvd anon), dvd anon was underground when they got killed so they cant be recovered right now

But every other anon is back

Thats where the story is at right now

HEY! as the second round of the mcytblr sexyman bracket settles in i wanted to take the time to thank everyone that turned out for #saintsweep in the first round. genuinely don’t know how any of this happened, but i was rly touched by the outpouring of support and positivity and enthusiasm from everyone who was willing to commit to the bit. (33%!!! 33!!!! A WHOLE THIRD!!!! 2206 PEOPLE!!!) 

i wanna thank specifically zloy and the bracket team for being good sports about the whole thing -- the nomination started as a joke, but it was from a place of genuine excitement and goodwill, and i’m glad we all got to have fun with it. sorry for not actually fitting the “yt” part of the mcyt sexyman tournament LOL. 

but, speaking of. i’d joked about making a minecraft video if i won when i first saw the nominations, but after everything that happened here in round one i’m probably gonna do it even tho i lost. i feel like i owe it to everyone who turned out and got really invested and also really confused about who this gay little tv was and why they couldn’t find him anywhere (SORRY ABOUT THAT).

BUT here's some ocs i've been thinking a lot recently The first one is called Luciel, he dyed his hair pink bc of his younger sister and now people give him strange looks on the street lol. He's also a programmer and an artist, he likes to paint landscapes with guaxi paint and watercolors.

the second one is called Simon, and maybe he's the OC that I love the most. He worked for a few years as a model even though he hated it with passion, eventually he realized that he prefers to be behind the cameras than in front of them. So now he is working freelance as a photographer and part time at a flower shop, and hes been living for it

---- Theyre roommates (literally) and have been sharing a college dorm since the frist day, ive even doodled it. Their relationship was really rocky at first, bc neither of them got along well, but eventually they learned to get along with each other more and are now very close :>
