He was dreaming. Surely, he was dreaming. What other explanation could be there for Rachel to be fluttering around their kitchen, making breakfast like everything was normal? Like he hadn't just stood at her grave two weeks ago, his heart shattering into a million little pieces as they lowered her to the ground? And yet, there she stood, so real, so -- alive. Her voice as clear as day. "I'm.. I--" What could he even say? That she had been gone? That he had watched her die and she shouldn't be here? But just as he was filled with disbelief, he was also filled with longing, and if this was a dream, he didn't want to wake up.

"I missed you," he said, trying to keep the pain from his voice so to not alarm her, afraid to burst his newfound bubble. Eli touched her arm and gently pulled her to him, wrapping his arms around her in an embrace. He could cry; the smell of her shampoo engulfing his senses, and he thought he would never get to experience this again. Gingerly, reluctantly, he let go and looked at her. "You should have woken me when you did. I could have helped with breakfast."

there’s nothing out of the ordinary that morning; everything is as usual, and once again, rachel has failed her daily goal of not accidentally burning an egg. at least the first one anyway, the second one always proves to be easier, having learnt that sometimes multitasking has more cons than pros like when one of the tasks is frying eggs. pleased for a brief moment, she has decided to ride on the high and crack another egg onto the pan, only to let out a whisper-yelp of a curse when egg's contents slide out, accompanied by a sickly odor.

"oh shit shit--" the frying pan is dumped into the sink, and before she could clean the mess up, a witness has already arrived at the scene. "don't laugh!" she says, pointing a finger at him jokingly. bout to turn back to the task on hand, she does a double take instead. "why do you look surprised? not like you haven't seen me burning things before, but in this case, it's really not my fault." not that she really takes any offense, but in a rather good mood, she shuffles closer to him and pushes him toward the dining table, a smile growing. "come on, let's have breakfast. i can't tell if it's my stomach's growling or if it's yours now."

actually no i need to talk about the green witch arc. ciel and his band of merry fools go to germany and learn that this forest is haunted by WEREWOLVES and in it is a village full of WITCHES with cursed amulets and potions and whatever

and the immediate vibe is "lol what a bunch of bogus" which is really just batshit coming from the kid with a demon butler

and then woah big reveal! it wasn't werewolves or witches it was a covert military operation REPLETE with radar tracking (not a thing until wwii) and electronic displays (most likely crt screens, which again weren't fully developed until the 1930s) and TANKS. for reference the first "tank" was put together by a guy in 1899 who mounted a machine gun to THIS

absolute paragon of engineering. the panzer (the exact model of tank in the arc) was not a thing until wwi.

and. and ciel and ESPECIALLY the Demon Butler in question are like. ohhhh yeah that makes more sense. the amulets were just transmitting our exact locations through technology that won't exist for another three decades. whew glad we sorted that one out. man wouldn't it have been CRAZY if it really was werewolves.

Things I make for myself when insomnia kicks in

Just a chart about what I wanna change up and keep consistent in my art - I mainly wanna draw Raph with a tail because he deserves one, it fits too well. Donnie gets a long tail too because I didn’t realize how dino-like he looks until I gave him one, and now it’s a must for me haha.

You know what, I figured out why we're having so many errors in Destiny 2 now. It's because with the addition of Micah-10, we've finally reached a critical mass of women with drop dead gorgeous voices, and the game simply can't handle it anymore. It's like Telesto. Too powerful. If they'd actually put Ikora Rey in a rendered cutscene for more than 5 seconds it would have shut down the servers for good

Gunman Joe is most likely a hologram and is probably controlled by one of the inventors to stilt the other's progress (and probably not whoever Eggmuffin is, as it appears on top of their building and would probably dissuade Layton and Luke's efforts to connect to Eggmuffin). The voice is probably a voice changer of sorts. I don't think this is the main antagonist though.

The background art is GORGEOUS. And VERY American. I forgot to mark it down on my bingo sheet. SNAILMOBILE AND OSTRIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok... I think what was originally making me feel gloomy about the models is solved after seeing the puzzle solved (heh) animation, and I feel a bit more hopeful. The models we see here only have one form of shading as opposed to the NWOS switch teaser or the puzzle solved animation. This game IS early in development so now that makes sense. I mean it looks bad but I think it'll improve. And if not I'll do it myself. Plus the shading in the switch teaser is purple-hued and the shading in-game that we see here is black, which is USUALLY a sign it's still being tweaked around in the background.

The fact that they're STILL aiming for 2025 makes me worried though... The game definitely needs polishing. Realistically delaying it would've been expected at its current stage, but persisting in a 2025 release gives it about a year and a third. Of course Level 5 is known for delaying things all the time so they could just be like "gomen minasama 2026" but... I feel like if they are persisting in a 2025 release... mm... After all of that, the trailer was nice but a bit worrisome. It's obvious now that they're still in development and it's not the final look though! One thing that comes to mind is the crusty Desmond model we saw wayyyy early on in AL's development;

Like. There's still time. I would be especially surprised if the don't at least add a bit of texturing to some of the models (like the texture-baked shaking in luke's hat or desmond's hair). I'm less pessimistic about the 3d model style now especially with its siblings looking as peak as it is (inazuma eleven, decapolice, etc)

That being said, I can't say much about what I'm hoping for until we see the TGS (did you guys forget about TGS /silly), though if it IS coming out in 2025... I hope to god it's like. December or something. I really don't want this to be rushed and with how it looks right now I wouldn't exactly be happy with it. In fact if there is 2d cutscenes I can totally see them saving it up for TGS too just to have something new and exciting rather than the same information we've already seen. Concluding, things are going smoothly, models are still developmental-looking, and I have mixed feelings but it's slowly bouncing back to positive all because of crusty desmond png
