hiiiiii i kinda wanna write some hcs/self insert stuff but im kinda stumped on who and what to write; especially since its been a while since ive written for these characters (a while = about a month?? give or take)

so! i'll be opening requests for creepypasta characters, a 'short' run down of my rules below + characters i write for + some info regarding how i write certain characters that may or may not be important

Running, that’s what you were doing. Running for your life with Inosuke clutching Daki’s head and you looking out for her Obi that was responsible for the injuries littered upon your body. Zenitsu was coving your back and deflecting all of the Obi’s attacks and attempts to get her head back. There were cuts here and there but nothing that you couldn’t handle.

Inosuke and Daki started having a petty argument, you paid no mind to it though, a feeling in your gut told you that this wasn’t going to be that easy. “Hey Insouke…” he was to preoccupied insulting the demon in his hands that he just couldn’t hear you. “Inosuke!” “What!?” he retorted in his usual manner, violently and loud. “Don’t you think this is too easy? We are talking about an Upper Rank, would she really just let us run away?” You inquired, genuinely worried about the outcome of this fight. Uzui and Tanjiro had trouble fighting her, not to mention him, Zenitsu and you barely even got to her. Jumping roof to roof you could smell the stench of blood, the noise of Uzui’s and Gyutaro’s weapons clashing had come to an abrupt halt.

Turning around trying to take in your surroundings, the foul odour suddenly became stronger, unbearable. The cause of this was a figure less than two meters away from Inosuke, one that was unmistakable. Gyutaro. As if all in slow motion you saw the grin on his face widening as he raised his scythe, aiming straight for Inosuke’s heart with the intent to kill him.

“Inosuke watch out!” You screeched at the top of your lungs as a spike of adrenaline came over you as you shoved him with all your power. Sending him flying off of the roof and no longer in your field of view. You now stood in the place where Gyutaro was aiming for, the scythe piercing your ribs and flesh. A waterfall of blood escaping the wound, staining your skin red. At that moment you couldn’t feel anything or hear anything, it’s as if time froze waiting for you to realise the consequences of your action. Looking down at your chest you noticed how even in the dead of the night, it was still noticeable all the blood on the uniform and the haori that you loved so dearly.

“Don’t you touch my sister!” He took out his weapon with such a force that all your senses came rushing back to you. Tears started to pool in your eyes, blurring your vision as your legs gave out and cold tiles met your face.

Inosuke hit the ground with an audible thud, Daki’s head was out of his grasp and only a few meters away from him. None of that mattered to him, what did was your figure collapsing with blood moving from one tile to another and dripping off of the roof and making a puddle on the floor. Gyutaro jumped off the roof and made his way over to his sister’s decapitated head, paying no mind to Inosuke and dashed over to get Daki back in the fight.

“Y/N!” He screamed, thinking you were already at death’s door. He got up on his feet and scaled the building as quickly as his legs could allow him to. Upon closer inspection he noticed how you started coughing up blood, your hair getting stuck together by the amount that was around you. Tears started to fall down his face and dampening his mask. “Don’t you dare die, you hear me?” “It’s not your time to go!” “Why would you do that?” “You’re stronger than this!”Was all he was saying, chanting it as if it was a prayer that could bring you back. Every inch in your body was in agony, urging you to give up and give in and let yourself drift off.

“Go fight. They need you,” it was a miracle you were even speaking even if it was hoarsely. Choking on blood but you knew you’d all be killed if he stayed. “I’ll make it out of here.” The sound of your voice was in complete contrast to his, calm, eerily calm. This however was betrayed by your face, tears were mixing in with the red fluid that was covering it “Please.”

“I can’t leave you.” He bent down, caressing your cheek. “Yes you can.” He stayed that way for about 30 seconds, contemplating whether to go or not. The decision was destroying him from the inside out, the wound didn’t seem to go through your heart but that didn’t mean that you wouldn’t die. He felt that his one job was to protect you and he failed. He hated it but he decided to go and obey your wish, the sooner the Upper Rank is defeated the sooner he can rush you back to the butterfly estate.

Shinobu took great care of you, nursing you the best she could with the condition you were in. She took pity on the boy who carried you in his arms sobbing and begging her to ‘bring you back’. You were never gone, your heart was still beating and your lungs were still breathing. All throughout everything he stuck by your side, not that you’d notice, you were in a coma. He never once left your side, waiting for you to awake from your deep slumber.

Tanjiro and Zenitsu would also visit you everyday, talking about their day and how they were recovering. Guilt was tearing Tanjiro up though, he saw everything from afar, he could’ve helped but he didn’t. He couldn’t. Zenitsu was informed on everything and wished he was awake during the fight, he wanted to see you alive, not your lifeless body. “She’ll be okay, don’t worry Inosuke.” Shinobu knew what it felt like to loose someone you held so closely to your heart, although this time, time was the only thing that they had an abundance of. They would all wait for an eternity for you to come back and into their arms.

Inosuke was beating himself up, he wasn’t his usual boisterous self, one that would bring himself up and call himself the strongest. Instead he became reserved, only speaking if he was spoken to. He missed talking to you, seeing your smile would brighten his day, hearing your laughter was like music to his ears. Sparring with you was his favourite thing though, he considered you an equal and wanted for you to get stronger, he wanted you to be able to defend yourself. Instead of getting angry or sad whenever he lost a fight, he’d be filled with overwhelming joy and pride when he’d be on the floor with you towering over him.

“Y/N please come back to me, forgive me please. I miss you, i miss everything about you. You may be alive but i don’t want to see your lifeless body, i want to see you filled with joy. You’re not like those two, i am happy whenever i am around you. I do not want to wake up to another day without you by my side, i miss that weird feeling when I’m with you.” He spoke softly whilst spilling all his inner most thoughts, gently rubbing your hand and rested his eyes on your face, hoping to see your eyes open and be filled with life. It wasn’t until he looked at his hand holding yours that this feeling wasn’t a feeling of friendship. It was a moment of realisation after all this time, he wanted you “I love you, please come back to me.”

Hello! Im aware I have been away for a while, I have had lots of school work to catch up on, but I just finished S1 of Demon Slayer on Netflix (If you havent watched it I highly suggest you do before reading this) And decided to create an MCYT X KNY/DS Fanfic, and the ones I see on A03 usually consist of Tommy taking Tanjiro Kamado’s place and Techno taking Nezuko’s (Tanjiros sister) And leaving whoever else is left to be other demon slayers or hashira.

Im going to upload this fanfic, only 1 chapter so far as Im not sure Im too confident in this AU, as my grammar sucks. Without further ado though, Enjoy chapter one. (Warning, Gore?- I mean theres dead bodies, And me being terrible at creating chapter names.)

Wilbur was fairly well known in the village that resided not too far away from his home. He was the oldest brother to two other siblings. Though that number quickly dwindled down to one after his father and slightly younger brother (It’s by a year in this AU) left for some training of some sort. Luckily, Wilbur was able to make a stable income for himself and his younger brother Tommy, who is only 10. Tommy was a special kid in Wilbur’s eyes. After all, it had been 4 years since his other family members left and Tommy was the only family around, so he may treasure him more that he did Techno or his father Phil.

 12/02/1920

 Wilbur was getting ready to leave to the village, he was going to sell coal to the people residing there and see if they needed any assistance in doing anything. He trusted Tommy to stay home, not alone of course, he had a distant relative in town for a while, so they offered to look after the 10 year old while Wilbur was selling his coal. But as he said his goodbyes and left, he couldn’t help but feel that he has somehow made a big mistake. Shaking his head, he pushed the feeling down, he trusts that his family will remain safe in the house they live on up by the mountain.  

 When Wilbur arrived into town, he was immediately bombarded with people wanting to buy coal or asking for his assistance in return for some money. By the time that Wilbur was actually done with selling coal and helping people out, he had filled more than half the basket with money. Unfortunately it was getting late and he had no way of getting home in the dark unless he wanted to get lost, he also couldn’t find a way to tell the others at the house that he would be late…

 “Hey Wilbur!” A familiar voice called to him, “you need a place to stay tonight, there’s no way you’ll make it back to the house in time.” Wilbur turned around and saw a familiar face, it was the baker of the village, Niki. She was always so kind to those who lived for visited the village (Her baking is also great too!) Smiling, Wilbur started walking towards the baker’s home. “Thank you Niki, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this.”

 “Of course!” She smiled kindly, “After all, we can’t have you going out at night, there may be demons lurking around!”

Wilbur made a confused face at that. ‘Demons?’ He thought, ‘I’m sure it’s just a myth, I’m sure parents just use that to keep kids in check.’ Niki laughed at the confused face Wilbur pulled when he mentioned demons, but soon stopped laughing when realizing he really didn’t know what demons were. “Wait, you’re being serious?” She asked while setting up a bed for Wilbur to sleep in for the night, “You really don’t know what demons are, Wil?” Wilbur shook his head at her question, getting up to follow her into her kitchen where she started getting ready to prepare a meal for him eat before going to bed. “No, Should I know what ‘Demons’ are, Niki?” He asked, he was really confused as to why she had looked so shocked at the question. She sighed. “Why don’t we talk about this while you’re eating?” As she said that the noodles she was boiling were finished and she put them into a bowl with some broth in.

  A few minutes later, the two are sat down opposite each other. “So... are you going to tell me about these ‘demons’?” Wilbur asked, while eating. Niki nodded and started to explain. “Demons are these man-eating creatures that only come out at night or when the sun is away, as the sun can kill them.” She said quietly, Wilbur wondered whether Niki had experience with these demons to know that they eat humans. “My father was eaten by a demon a couple years ago.” Niki said sadly, “So in order to keep demons away I use this wisteria plants to keep them away, as its poisonous to demons.” Niki soon ended the convocation after that, seeing as she quickly said her goodnights and took away Wilbur’s empty bowl, he can only assume she doesn’t like talking about them.

 Going to bed half an hour later, the uneasy feeling had increased, after hearing the story about demons, he could only worry for those around the area, and Tommy and that distant relative he could never remember the name of. He fell into an uneasy sleep, only dreaming of what these demons are like.

 When Wilbur woke up the next morning, he thanked Niki for the hospitality and promises to bring more coal the next time he visits the village. And with that he took his basket of money and started making his way up the mountain.

 Wilbur figured that he was only 5 minutes from the house now, but he couldn’t help but slow down, usually increasing in speed to go see his brother, but the uneasy feeling had returned and only grew worse when making his way up the mountain.

 Then that’s when it hit him. He didn’t need a great sense of smell to tell that there was a strong scent or blood and decaying bodies somewhere around the mountain. Worried for his family, he ran up the mountain once the house came into view. He was met with a bloody path leading into the house. He followed the path and was met with the decaying body of the family member he trusted to look after Tommy, he really regrets not learning their name, but they showed up so suddenly and it’s was them three for a while. Speaking of bodies, Wilbur took a step into the house and saw Tommy laying on his back, a small wound on his head. But he was still breathing, his baby brother wasn’t dead, despite the amount of blood leaving his wound. Quickly thinking, Wilbur picked up his brother, putting him comfortably so it looked like Wilbur was giving him a piggy-back ride, and dashed out the house into the village. Hoping he could find some medical assistance to help the brother he raised. Halfway down the mountain, Tommy had started shifting a lot, and groaning, this confused Wilbur as he tried to get Tommy to calm down, but Tommys constant struggling ended up with them falling down a slope. Tommy was quick to get up and lean against a tree. “Tommy!” Wilbur yelled out, his voice full of worry for his baby brother, “Toms, you don’t need to walk, I can carry you to the village, don’t worry!” Wilbur started moving towards the 10 year old until he was suddenly attacked by said 10 year old. “Tommy, What are you doing?!” Wilbur yelled out in fear, he wrestled Tommy while thinking of what to do until he saw a distant shadow coming closer….

I DO IN FACT HAVE DRAMA RECS HII not all of these will be kdramas, but ill start with the kdramas ive watched and enjoyed and ill include all the warnings for them that i can remember off the top of my head and a brief synopsis for u!

kdramas-

1. weight lifting fairy kim bok joo

this was probably one of the first kdramas i saw people post about in like 2015 and i watched a little bit of it in 2016 but then only just got around to finishing it last year. the basic gist of it is its about a young sports college weight lifter, kim bok joo, centering around her navigating through her life and trying to figure out who she is and what she wants in life and what she wants to be. her romantic interest in the show is a swimmer and they have a sort of rivals to friends to lovers, he is SO in love with her and its adorable. i absolutely loved the side characters in this show theyre all so fun and kim bok joos best friends and weight lifting team are especially delightful. my main warning would be that this show addresses eating disorders and theres a lot of mention of both weight gain and weight loss, theres also a plot point early on where kim bok joo has a crush on her eventual love interests older brother but it gets resolved and the older brother literally goes "i didnt realize you had a crush on me and if i knew that i wouldnt have been so friendly with you, it would be completely innapropriate for us to be in a relationship". overall its a really sweet and emotional fun show but if you have issues with weight talk id skip this one

2. tale of the nine tailed

this one is really recent from last year and i didnt expect to be so hooked by it but boy howdy did i get attached to all the characters and the wild plot. it feels hard to explain the plot but basically a nine tailed fox named lee yeon is living in modern day seoul and is working for the underworld finding paranormal spirits/creatures/other rogue foxes that are causing havoc on the world, hes resigned himself to living this life while waiting for his girlfriend who died tragically 600 years ago to come back to life because he traded his status as a mountain god in order to ensure that her soul would one day be reincarnated. a plucky investigative journalist named nam ji ah figures out that hes not human and shenanagins ensue because she looks exactly like his dead girlfriend oooooo whatll happen. the plot beyond that gets really wild and its hard to explain and is easier to just watch. if u enjoy paranormal adventures this one is good. my one big complaint and issue with this is that the immortal mountain spirit meets his original girlfriend when shes a child and she continues to visit him off and on as she grows up which is Hm I Dont Like That! but thankfully the present time romance our female lead meets him when shes about 30 if im remembering right. also warnings for general fantasy violence, references to child abuse, animal death, and abandonment issues

3. extraordinary you

HUGE unreality warning for this. if you have issues with feeling unreal or have paranoia/delusions about not being a real person id avoid this one just because of its premise

ok i know i said tale of the nine tailed was a hard plot to explain but BOY extraordinary you is even HARDER to explain. because its so wild but so good. its about a girl who realizes that she is literally a side character in a comic book, and the story becomes her trying to change the story to save her character from dying but it becomes a lot more than that. the romance in this is literally tooth achingly sweet and the show itself is very pretty, i loved the side characters in this one and the show was engaging and interesting to watch it became really layered and meta. super reccomend this one honestly. my main issues/warnings that i can remember off the top of my head were just one character being the classic controlling boyfriend stereotype, bullying someone specifically for being poor, unreality like i mentioned before, and then at the very end there was this love interest for a side character who got reincarnated from a past piece of writing that they had been in and put in the comic but she was a student and he was the school cook which is weird but thankfully they like barely interact at all and theres no real romance he just like recognizes her and its barely a thing at the end of the show but its still weird

4. mystic pop up bar

big warning for suicide, sexual harrasment (which is framed as being bad and the guy whos harrassing the girl literally gets thrown off a roof)

i havent finished this one yet and thats mainly because im not emotionally ready because this one makes me soooo emotional. if you like found family this is a good one. its about a pop up bar run by a woman whos been tasked with solving the problems of a certain amount of people in order to atone for her crimes in the past before dying, shes able to enter the dreams of people and solve their issues using the information she gets in the dreams. paranormal shenanagins ensue, she acquires a son and a husband and it kills me its so fun and quirky and fun despite handling dark themes and peoples problems. also very sweet the found family murders me

5. kingdom (netflix original)

i literally am not going to be able to watch any other zombie media because kingdom and train to busan are the best pieces of zombie media ive ever seen. warnings for gore and violence and just general horror aspects.

i absolutely love this one its so thrilling and well done, i love the acting and the way that this show looks its absolutely gorgeous. a zombie plague breaks out in joseon period korea where the emperor has died and then was brought back to life by the queen and her father in a ploy to try and keep their family in political power, the crown prince must find answers. a lot more happens and its very dramatic and good i love the characters in this one

cdramas

1. the untamed. if you follow me and you havent watched the untamed im begging you to watch the untamed. literally one of the most beautiful stories ive experienced in my life i am not joking when i say i cried multiple times over it. the main characters are canonically gay in love and have a son together please watch the untamed. handles a lot of dark themes, heres a tw guide

2. the sleuth of the ming dynasty

this is another one i havent finished but its fun so far, very gay, found family, food, and solving murder mysteries during the ming dynasty

3. hikaru no go (also known as qi hun)

havent finished this one, there is some propaganda about hong kong in the first episode but as far as i know thats the only instance of something like that in the show

this ones about the game go and so far its very sweet and fun, local boy awakens a ghost who was a master of the game of go hundreds of years ago and eventually is persuaded to learn how to play go with the aid of the ghost. im really liking this one so far its very cute and i love the characters in it. if youve watched the untamed nie huaisangs actor ji li is in this one!

4. the legend of yunqian

this ones very short and on youtube, all the episodes are about 5 minutes long and its a lesbian time travel fantasy adventure with a happy ending! funny and cute

jdramas

1. cherry magic

please please please watch cherry magic. the premise sounds very much like a weird yaoi kind of thing but trust me on this. trust me. it is so heart warming and sweet and i was so emotional about it and the growth of the main character.

adachi gains the power to read peoples minds on his 30th birthday based off a urban legend that if youre a 30 year old virgin that youll become a wizard. after gaining this power he accidentally finds out that his extremely popular and handsome coworker has a crush on him, and shenanagins ensue along with adachi having blossoming feelings in return. this show was really refreshing in a lot of ways, adachi is a main character who like.. is unsure of himself and insecure in a very kind of realistic way, he closes himself off and is afraid to reach out to people and through the course of the show we see him slowly come out of his shell and realize that hes likeable and lovable and that people want to be around him and its so nice to see. my main complaint about this show is that i dont really like the background couple, but otherwise this is a very sweet and refreshing gay romance that has a happy ending!

GAMES I HAVE NOT PLAYED

Soma - under water story driven horror game, played a little a year ago and it looked super cool. It has a mode where you cant die which is great for me because I love horror but I am a MASSIVE wimp (cw: https://www.doesthedogdie.com/media/17000 )

We went back - puzzle driven horror game in space, takes place in one hallway that loops endlessly. Really cool concept, and I always love a good space game (cw: from what I could gather from the trailer, there is light scopophobia, some violence, and body horror for the monster, but I could not find a full content warning list)

Sherlock holmes: crimes and punishments - choice based mystery game. I dont know like. Anything about it but justin mcelroy rated it 8/10 (cw: from what I saw in the trailer there is light gore, murder, bruising, alcohol, and some guns, but I could not find a full content warning list)

GAMES I HAVE PLAYED

Portal 2 - science puzzles and bastard little robots. I have memorized almost every puzzle and every time I play through I see if I can do it faster than the last time (cw: characters being rude to the main character, calling her fat, teasing her for being adopted/parents not loving her, saying shes smart for someone with brain damage, called a monster, called stupid. Most of these things do not actually apply to her and are just lightly joked about, but still happen frequently)

Portal stories mel - harder puzzles and GAY little robots. Very entertaining, and I dont think I've gotten all the trophies yet (cw: risk of electrocution, very vague spider imagery(made up of shadows and machinery, no actual spiders), character clearly trying to deceive the main character for a while in the beginning )

Tacoma - story driven spaceship game. It's mostly you just figuring out what happened on the spaceship tacoma. Has cute gays and sign language and a really cool game mechanic to see the history of the ship. I absolutely need to replay it at some point (cw: panic attacks, brief sexual content(no sex scenes) ai manipulation)

Gravitas - kinda like portal, but very short and much more comedic. It's cute and I wouldn't mind playing it again (cw: I think theres one joke about penguins dying)

Smile for me - comedy/slight horror puzzle game. You have to go around the habitat and find a way to make everyone happy again. This game is adorable and funny and creepy and I love it to death. If I play this one I get to do fun voices for all the characters. Also dr habit is prebby 😳 (cw: dental trauma, brief parental abuse heavily implied, occasional photorealistic bodyparts(not gore), light body horror, drug use, smoking and drinking, a clown. No jumpscares, but some scenes that make you think there will be. Woozy effect on camera commonly used)

Close to the sun - story driven horror puzzle game. Takes place on a giant ocean ship where you explore the work of nikola tesla while you search for your sister. The aesthetic is like a steampunk/great gatsby mix. It's on the shorter side, but it's a lot of fun and very nice to look at (cw:heavy gore and violence from both monsters and humans, panic attacks, chase scenes, a character is burned alive, one jumpscare, decomposing and mutilated bodies, major character death)

hello all!!!! i was bored at midnight again so here it is: me watchin the 1990 movie, for the first time, hell yeah!!!!! here we go!!! its got the other movie to live up to, so im excited for a comedy lmao!! tl;dr at end if u want!!! its kinda long btw lmao

tl;dr/conclusion/my thoughts: hooooo boy so i see why everyone likes 1960 one better. 

first, lets start with the obvious: why this isnt lord of the flies. because its not. if this wasnt telling me that its lord of the flies, i would think of it as that, really. first off, the conch. the conch represents civility, it brings them together. its important. when piggy dies, it dies, representing how all civility is now gone. i maybe saw the conch three times this movie. didnt do anything.

second, the pilot, captain whatever. the point of the beast to me is that they made it up. sure, the corpse was real, but it didnt pose a threat, it was simply a corpse. they made it into what it was, therefore proving that they are the beast. sure, the pilot here was harmless, but he grbbed a boy’s foot and was therefore making himself a possible threat. maybe its not a big deal i guess.

third, the characters. the point of lord of the flies is that they are rich kids who havent gone through anything. theyre the perfect, spoiled kids who havent done anything wrong. half of them are in choir. chOIR. in this movie, lets take jack for example. they said he stole  a car and got sent to military school. no. the point of jack is that he was a perfect kid. leader of choir. he was manipulitive and got even ADULTS to trust him. its part of hs character, showing that this perfect choir leader kid went fucking insane to prove how literally everyone can be evil. also samneric???? the direspect!! they were loyal to ralph until they were tied up and FORCED to join jack, and even then, after roger like beat the shit out of them, they were STILL loyal. fuck you.

so those are the MAIN reasons why it wasnt lotf. 

now, what i liked i guess.

the swearing was NOT lotf, and it didnt fit with the story, but ill admit that i laughed, so i guess thats a plus.

second, i liked how they showed the gore, i guess? sounds weird, hear me out. lord of the flies is a gruesome, violent, awful book. theres descriptions of death in detail, and im so glad they showed it. when simon’s body was there, literally torn to shreds? the shock of it, the true savagery you see that these boys murdered him SO violently, is amazing, because thats the essence of lotf. simons death shows how theyve lost all their civility, and showing such a gruesome corpse really brings that through. so good job.

and now, of course, the obvious: thats not the characters i pictured when i read the story. simon doesnt look like that, ralph doesnt look like that, jack doesnt look like that.

 where did the choir go, too? forgot to mention that, and i think that also adds into the whole, theyre supposed to be perfect kids and then become savage thing. also, the choir was a group. they voted for jack and went with him for a reason. 

so yea, thats that. dont know why people would read this lmao but thats my thoughts!!!! i just need to keep myself busy when i watch movies and to make sure i focused, i figured id just write down my thoughts as i went. if u wanna watch for free, look up lord of the flies 1990 google drive.

Fire, there was a lot of fire everywhere. Burning, eating everything that came around it. It was alive, living, breathing, consuming everything. It was beautiful, but also disheartening. The Laughing Jack was on top of the roof of the mansion when the raid started and figured he should help everyone out. Can’t let them have all the fun, now can we?

He stood up and stretched out, arms longer than what a person of his size should be. Each finder tipped with a claw at the end of it. Ready for slicing and dicing, gutting and goring. He may actually get to have fun tonight, the way he wants to. Not the way Slender’s tells everybody they have to have fun. LJ took a step off of the roof of the mansion and fell to the bottom, landing on his feet. No cracks or movement, no breaking of bones. The angelic construct defied logic and defied it well. Screams of terror and fear echoed the forest Domain, music to the clown’s ears.

“Now to find someone who is worthy of my attention!” he shouts, no one close enough to listen. Expanding his mind to the Domain, he felt many foreign presences around him. Most are human, a few demons or others, but one, in particular, stood out among the rest.  He couldn’t put his finger on it, but it was neither human, demon, or angel-like being. It felt like how Slender does to LJ. That was what he was going to have fun with. 

“What do we have here…?” he mused in a singsong manner. LJ took a pin out of nowhere and stuck it in the air, leaving it there to guide him towards this person. It was his own weird method of GPS.  

It guided him far away from the mansion itself, to the edge of the woods away from where Slender was. He ran and ran, not getting tired of being scared of the fire he jumped through. There was nothing for him to fear. At least, not yet. As he got closer and closer he heard explosions. Laughing and more explosions. A grin crossed the monochrome clown’s face, sharp teeth exposing themselves. Whoever was causing all this was going to be a fun fight. Or so he hoped. 

The pin dropped when LJ got to his destination, vanishing into dust as it hit the ground. He watched as this tall man was sending out what looked like an army of toys into the woods. People were being dragged back to him, only for him to shove something down their throat. Then not long after either, they exploded, foamed at the mouth, or other things that caused their death. The man was still shorter than LJ but had red burgundy hair and honey colored eyes. He wore a vest that LJ seemed to know from somewhere, but that was from a long time ago. Same with the pants. His eyes had markings below them. Not tears, but not anything in specific. Looks like the bottom half of a star to LJ.

“Well well well. Look at what we have here.” LJ calls, stumbling on it. There was a manic grin on his face as he screamed, “You look like you’re going to be fun!” Not even bothering with formalities, he attacks the man. He stretched out his arms, like coils of rope ever extending to the guy. The man looked over to the cry out and jumps back. A wooden sword appeared out of nowhere into his hands as he cut at the clown’s arms. Despite being wooden the blade was sharp and cut off LJ’s arms with ease onto the ground. The hand wiggled and writhed like a lizard’s detached tail until it became lifeless. The arms, yet, kept coming after the man. The claws at the end only grew back to replace what has been chopped off. This happened for a couple hundred feet before LJ started to get bored. When he did, a new claw didn’t reform at the end of his arm. Instead, he popped out at the end and grabbed onto the man.

“Gotcha!” he yelled, wrapping his arms around the red headed male. “I gotta say, you’re a delight! What’s your name?“ 

The man struggled against LJ’s strong grasp, but couldn’t get out right now. Instead, he looked right into the clown’s eyes and whistled. Loudly. There was a delay, but soon LJ was lifted up by something causing him to let go and get tossed into a tree.

"Thanks, Mr. Glutton. By the way, I am Jason the Toymaker.” He called out to the clown, laughing and petting the giant stuffed snake. LJ was upside down against the tree, looking at the toy maker. 

“I have been alive a long, long time. I have seen many things. I have not seen that.” he said, chuckling. Rolling over exorcist style, he stands back up and cracks his head forward. Any normal person would cringe at the sight, but not Jason. He didn’t appear to be phased by the thing.

“Why thank you! I aim to please and please to have fun. So. Who. Are. You?” Jason asked back, dusting himself off. 

“Me?! I am Laughing Jack or LJ for short! And fun?! I like fun! Let’s have some fuuun!” he responds, giggling like a maniac. 

The clown only looks at the toy maker and chuckled. Opening his mouth, it dropped to the ground from his over seven-foot tall form. Tongue rolled out almost like a red carpet out in front of him for six feet. Chanting can be heard coming from his mouth, and soon after children started to walk out of his mouth. They all were gray in color, white hair stringing past and features taught. All dead, all under his control, all his victims. They kept coming, and coming, and coming.

Jason’s eyes widened at the sight, not sure what to make of this. It was something else, and something that he didn’t care to deal with. Taking steps back away from the now expanding army of kids. He didn’t bring enough toys for this and didn’t care to have this large-scale fight. At least, not yet. With that in mind, he steps back further and draws a door into the air. It solidifies suddenly, making it seem like an entrance to a store. 

“Well looks like our fun must end so soon! I am sorry, but we will meet again LJ!” Jason then steps through the door, the giant stuffed snake coming in behind. It closes as the children get to it, scratching and clawing.

LJ closes his mouth, letting the small child army roam free for the time being. That was fun. He couldn't wait to meet Jason again.

some misplaced thoughts/attempted half-formed analysis on outlast 2, im not finished with it yet so im still missing half the information here but do NOT tell me about anything that happens later on dont fill in my blanks for me just yet ill find out (or ill reconsider my thoughts at the end if im wrong/if things get left unclear) 

im currently just a bit past the raft adventure, havent quite caught up my liveblogs yet bc transferring switch pics and sorting through them all takes 11 thousand years

this is. very disorganized and so many words, my thoughts are all over the place but i had to get it out somewhere lmao

ok so some key symbols ive noticed:

- obviously hanging/noose imagery

- again obviously, crucifixion/christ 

- water, most likely symbolic baptism 

- both of those last two things together in an overall “christian/catholic symbols but Horribly, Horribly Wrong” 

- the plagues!!!!!! i noticed some reference to this but recently realized i think we’re being forced through ALL of them actually 

so:

- again the hanging imagery is an obvious one, blake is (very poorly) coping with the trauma he experienced as a kid (or high school student. i was under the impression they were middle schoolers for some reason but high school is still a young age to be dealing with something like that) surrounding his friend’s suicide, he clearly feels like he’s somehow responsible for it, possibly only because he didn’t stop it, but it doesn’t seem like he really could have done anything. this trauma is absolutely resurfacing through all he’s going through now and it feels like his past and current pain are starting to converge more and more as time goes on. honestly even if there wasn’t some weird fucked up mystery going on and it was just a symbolic representation of him reliving his trauma id still think its absolutely fascinating and really well done but it seems like there’s definitely More Going On than just that 

this is something im going to make specific notes on when i do a story mode replay, note every time hanging shows up... some ive noticed: occurrences of hanging in the temple gate/”real world” often bizarrely coincide with blake’s salvation, he’s able to get away from the scalled leader by stealing the rope off the corpse of a man who hung himself, there’s a hanged corpse right near where the raft ends up when he crashes it on the river

there’s definitely some “somebody else died so that I could live” going on there, I don’t know if that’s directly related to the incident with jessica or not yet 

and that again ties into the crucifixion, the death of Jesus brings about salvation and life for everyone else (and, while he was not hanged, there’s still “hanging” on a cross, and the cross is often referred to as a “tree”) (it doesn’t seem like jessica hung herself from a tree but the other corpses have been) 

- obvious again, the crucifixion is showing up absolutely everywhere, clear sacrifice/murder for the greater good concepts, im not catholic but i am coming at this from a christian perspective myself, and like. on the one hand it’s taking very important religious imagery and hideously distorting it into “now we got the flayed corpses of cultists stuck everywhere” but on the other I think it’s actually... really important not to forget that the cross was in fact an execution tool, the death of christ was a horrific, bloody, and cruel event that would have been absolutely revolting to witness and unfathomably painful to experience 

and the sanitized, pretty, kid-friendly image of the cross you so commonly see in churches now really disconnects from the reality of it. a mutilated corpse rotting on a splintered, bloody piece of wood is a much more realistic image, for better or worse, than a little neon plastic WWJD toy cross. i dont actually think the crucifix imagery here is sacrilegious at all. obviously the cultists are fucking monsters but im talking about specifically the use of crucifix imagery here. the parallels with the unsettlingly realistic jesus statues (and the fact that they show up both in temple gate and in the high school hallucinations especially) is like. actually pretty solid. i dont want to get into religious debate with anyone so im not gonna get too deep into that but i wanted to mention it 

- there’s also blake as an unwilling “messiah” figure (which. hes literally declared “the skalled christ” so this isn’t exactly subtle lmao) and. i dont know exactly what his religious standing is but we do know he was raised catholic, and like. it was quite an intense and harrowing experience to me, as a christian, watching the skalled crucifixion scene through his perspective, so i cannot even imagine what it would have been like for him to actually be in that position for real experiencing it himself. and we have the. jesus Knowing what was going to happen, dreading and wishing he could escape it, but resigning to it/blake absolutely wanting no fucking part in any of this and literally tearing his hands out of the nails, jesus resurrecting from the grave/blake digging his way out of his “grave” (though he wasnt actually dead), i dont really have any deeper observation to make there i just think its interesting 

- i do not know whats going on with water! something is! i wasnt paying much attention to water before so this is probably another thing ill be watching for/making notes on in my eventual story mode replay but Something Is Very Wrong About That Lake and i keep getting murdered by the Whatever THe Fuck That Thing Is in water, either from falling in the lake/the river or there’s that pool scene in the high school

seems like there’s some kind of... chemicals in the water causing weird shit but i dont know whats going on yet (dont tell me!), so there’s probably something about baptism/entering the water and leaving fundamentally changed somehow but in a Very Wrong sense, but i dont have all the information yet so im just blindly guessing. and we got piles of dead fish in the water very soon before you see piles of human corpses in the water, that as well,

and along that line:

- the plagues!! i cant believe i didnt realize we’re going through the plagues! i had noticed some reference to them but figured it was just more weird religious imagery for the aesthetic or something and didn’t quite realize we’re actually hitting all of them, they’re not necessarily happening in order but they sure are happening: 

water turning to blood: we’re surrounded in blood from the start but this was what really made me start fucking paying attention because where im at right now it is RAINING BLOOD SOME FUCKING HOW 

I have no IDEA how that’s happening in the “real world” unless it’s like. not really blood and some kind of chemical reaction with whatevers going on with the water, or if its some mass hallucination thing, or what (again dont tell me!! i want to find out!! shh!!!!) but, uh, that’s a pretty clear “water into blood” situation there, 

this one also is happening simultaneously with the high school dimension, all the water in the bathroom and the fire sprinklers all became blood, and you get fucking drenched in it, so there’s probably some amount of “baptism of blood” happening there too

plague of flies: i dont remember there being any specific moment where you get overwhelmed by flies but its possible it happened and i forgot, but either way you hear flies buzzing around constantly, it gets in your head, theres flies everywhere because of the gore piles rotting all over everywhere 

disease on livestock: there’s dead rotting cow/horse carcasses absolutely everywhere, so,

plague of boils: the skalled village, may not be Specifically boils but they’re definitely uh. very, very diseased 

plague of locusts: you get attacked by a shit ton of locusts and fall into the ravine, this one’s, uh. pretty blatant 

plague of darkness: you’re stuck in the dark for the entire everything, so

there’s also an instance in the high school dimension where everything goes black and you cannot see anything whatsoever and can’t do anything but follow jessica’s voice and hope to god you don’t run into That Thing Again

the only ones I haven’t seen yet are the plague of frogs, gnats/lice which i completely forgot was even a plague but apparently was (though again this could just be included in with the general “everything is covered in flies and god knows what” happening everywhere), hail/fire storms (though you do get attacked by flaming arrows, so that could count)(that also happens in the skalled village/shortly after you discover the skalled, so that would be in order), and... the death of the firstborn

the exact order of the other plagues isn’t necessarily all that important but that one as the final plague is very important and it definitely feels like they could be building up to that 

so it’s. likely something really, really bad is gonna happen with lynn by the end of all this

(do NOT!! tell me!!! dont!!! do not) 

also a minor thing but i did notice blake at one point goes “these are signs!! this is the apocalypse!!” and, like, maybe that’s just because he’s obviously not in his right mind right now/it wasn’t supposed to be taken that seriously but the plagues on egypt were not signs of the apocalypse, but signs displaying the power of God to the pharoah, a “let the slaves go free Or Else” demonstration, and blake as someone who grew up in catholic school would know this, but that could just be like. a minor writing error or just. biblical accuracy isnt really his first priority right now lmao
