fuck, marry, kill: aou, phuwin, pond (yes, i am evil) - archer 🫶
THIS IS SO EVIL!!!!!
fuck aou. 🧍 have u seen him. next question. also he’s a biter omg who said that!
marry phuwin. i feel like phuwin is the most marriable option. he’s smart, he’s hardworking, he knows multiple languages, he has a cute cat. phuwin will provide for me with his rich boy chula degree engineering job.
kill pond. LISTEN I KNOW I’M POND FAN NUMBER ONE. i love my guy and i would rather kill myself than kill him but if i ABSOLUTELY HAD TO here are my reasons: 1) he is too beautiful for me to look directly at much less fuck or marry 2) he would be really sad if i killed phuwin. i’m heartbroken just typing this to be honest
#this was so evil…….. thank u archer……#also i didn’t see this ask in my notifs so sorry for the late reply ahhagsgd#mint answers#ronaan#my friend archer#ask games

rapper!connie first run in with fashionvlogger!reader was…interesting. you answered a question from a fan on twitter who asked if you could style one rapper who would it be? you replied saying, ‘connie springer, his music don’t match his style. he dressing like a regular hood nigga when he should be dressing like a bad bitch with a dark lair. pisses me off.’
eren snorted when he seen the tweet and sent it to connie. at first he was a little offended and was about to clean you right on up, but when he saw the comments agreeing??? he had to find out why your opinion mattered so much. so the the first thing he did was tap that instagram link. 550k followers. hmm. he seen that plenty of his celebrity mutuals followed you.
hollowsoul
followed by thegirljt, gunna, liluzivert and others.
when he tapped on your pinned photo he almost drooled at your beauty, your body, and the outfit you were wearing. you indeed had that shit on to the T. connie caught himself scrolling through your feed as his anemic ass shook ice into his mouth. you sure did have a love for all black outfits.
he taps on that message button and types in two words. ‘style me’
your phone lights up as you stir around the meat in the pan. you put your glass of wine down to pick up your phone.
instagram
new message
you tap on the notification and it takes you to the dm. you didn’t really have a shocked reaction, but you were surprised that he even bothered to to dm you. connie was semi private. he has moments where he’s very active on social media then he becomes a ghost.
‘sure long as your okay with me vlogging’
connie puts his cup of ice down beside his feet warning his dog, Choppo, to not touch before replying to you.
‘i don’t mind. you free on friday?’
‘i am’
ight let’s meet at the outlet mall on Lafayette @ 1 then. you mind if me, my friends, and security come?
okay sounds good and i don’t mind at all. see you on friday x
trust me you were less boring in person. connie was lacking in first impression as he was late to you guys shopping date.
you didn’t mind though, you were right in dior trying on sunglasses. “how these look y’all?” you ask your camera. “i don’t know they’re kinda cunt..” you say looking in the small mirror. you didn’t even notice connie and his crew walking in and walking towards you.
“i like them.”
you look behind you, seeing connie and his friends. connie took you in while you were distracted and you were better in person. you were in an all black outfit, of course, and you looked fucking beautiful.
“they’re cute right?” you smile looking up at the 6’1 FINE ass dominican man. one thing that also irritated you about connie’s style is that it doesn’t emphasize his face. connie face card was something different. He had beautiful features, hazel eyes, low lids, some pretty plump lips, and he was pulling off a buzz cut like david beckham in the 2000’s. not many people can do that.
“yeah, sorry I was late. had to drop my sister off to her dance practice.” connie says you wave him off, “oh I'm not worried about it. it gave me time to think of what stores i want to go to.” you say taking your glasses off. “hey it’s nice to meet y’all,” you said looking at the two men behind connie. eren and ony. they weren’t a group but they put out some collab albums. those albums were heat, and was always playing when you were working out or cleaning.
“we’re starting here by the way. can’t go wrong with dior. do you have a favorite fashion brand or designer?” you ask connie as you walked over to the men’s section.
“uhm nike?”
“nike..? you know what i’m just..i’m just going to pretend you didn’t say that.“ you say shaking your head in disappointment. ony was laughing to himself in the background cause he could hear it in your voice.
“what’s wrong with nike?” connie smiles as you picked up a dior sweater. “well first off all nike is a sports brand i’m talking about a fashion brand like rick owens, true religion, moschino.
“what’s a moschino?” connie scrunches his face and he was dead serious.
“do you know who jeremy scott is? law roach?”
“are these random white people?”
you looked at connie like he was a little lost baby, pouting your glossy lips. “aw you are so cute.” you pinch his cheek. “this is my favorite part. teaching you the ins and out of fashion.” you smile pushing an outfit into his chest. “go try this on.”
connie found out that you were a bossy little thing. if he didn’t like something, “oh well too bad you’re getting it anyways.” ony and eren enjoyed seeing him get bossed around as he was usually the demanding one in the studio. you had fun telling connie stuff about fashion and how to put together a good outfit.
connie left that outlet with a new wardrobe, friend, and crush. a very big crush that his friends noticed. the way connie blushed like some nerdy school boy every time you’d hype him up. you noticed as well and found it absolutely adorable.
“do that lil pose that you do. period!”
you enjoyed Connie's presence. He was a mix between laidback and hyper. like when he got comfortable around you, he got to cracking jokes. even joking you. picking up some ugly ass cowgirl boots and saying, “this looks like something you’d like.” and you’d just give him a little playful glare telling him to not play with you.
you left Connie with a homework assignment. learn how to use pinterest and make a pinterest board.

yourusername I’ll try to make it but I think lab’s gonna run late…you guys carry on tho :)
-
Sun casted a bright yellow hue from the grass to the glass, making the general weather warmer than usual. Walking alongside her friend y/n was somewhat surprised to see the notification of felix’s comment pop up, voluntarily inviting her to the pub, again. Quite the modern day tragedy it felt like to have to decline it because their labs ran very late. But regardless it was surprising to say at the very least, “We just had drinks with his friends once and he’s inviting us again?” She said as she showed her friend the notification.
“Woah.” Her friend said as they looked at the notification and smiled “well, inviting you but this is-this is cool?”
“You and I are a package deal so inviting me is inviting you.” Y/n said as their friend stared at the comment and the reply, they were analysing the interaction.
“Oh okay yes” they nodded “Also when did he start following you?”
“Okay so we had drinks two days ago right? I think, that night, but it was after I returned to my dorm and I don’t remember exchanging socials.” Y/n said as she went through their interaction from drinks that night.
Her friend tilted their head raising brows, “oh so he looked you up. Plus your account’s open and he still commented? Wow.” They implied in a surprised yet elated tone.
“Wait-what? What do you mean by open account? Almost everyone has open accounts?” Y/n stated confused with a shrug.
“Yeah and anyone can see his comment on YOUR page. So he wasn’t embarrassed to comment now that’s the outlook.”
“Why would he be embarrassed to comment?” Y/n said as she looked at her friend in somewhat the offended tone.
“Are you serious? You have 79 followers.” Her friend said giving her a tight smile to comfort her through their brutal honestly.
“Exactly. Even the serving lady follows me. I get along with everybody.” She stood her ground with an obvious shrug.
“Do you hear yourself? Do you want to repeat that first sentence?” Her friend asked her with a sigh as y/n contemplated that. She needed the serving lady’s follow to reach upto 79 followers as social as it may seem. “Also, don’t forget how we got drinks with him and his friends in the first place.”
“Oh” she said nodding, “We were getting alcohol for lab work on a weekend, wow, yeah I see it now…”
“But. Come on. He commented.” Her friend said pointing her phone screen which still had her comment section open like a textbook.
“Him and his friends most definitely thinks we’re the coolest.” Y/n added regaining her optimism.
“Well…” her friend trailed off not wanting to dampen the enthusiasm “I like how you positive you are.”
“I wish we didn’t have lab today” She whined and rested her head on the lab table.

“So you ditched us to get Chinese last night?” Farleigh asked raising a sharp brow as he’d scroll through his phone and stumbled upon a certain post.
“How’d you know?” Felix asked as he turned in his chair to look at farleigh.
“Y/n has the dumbest social media presence” Farleigh stated as she scrolled through her previous posts “I mean all her posts are some ugly project model and if not that it’s some random cats?”
“Oh yeah it was a last minute plan-to get Chinese whatever…” felix trailed off with a sigh.
“What is this girl doing? She is too pretty to post stupid jokes and labs god” Farleigh complaint as he went through y/n’s posts. “2 likes on each post yeah, you’ve got to give it to her dedication to document everything.” He scoffed.
“Can you stop stalking her?” Felix urged rolling his eyes.
“Oh I’m stalking her?” Farleigh asked tilting her head. “I know you just out of curiosity asked around for the D wing lab timings and you just happened to be there by the end of her lecture yes sure” with not much reply felix just threw a pillow at farleigh which he happened to dodge.

i don’t deserve you

Luke Hughes x Reader
authors note: i wrote this super quick and also on my phone so idk the word count or if this even makes sense because it is unedited lmaooo but I hope you enjoy it!
-
You had just hopped out of the shower and were putting on uour leggings and one of lukes hoodies to wear for the day.
You hadnt really been wearing anything besides for lukes hoodies when you have a day at home since you two started dating so honestly it was nothing new.
Going back to your room after cleaning up the rest of your stuff in the bathroom, you remembered you forgot to text Luke back last night. he always gets on you about that but you always forget how worried he gets when you don’t reply to his calls or texts.
And when you head to look at your phone that’s plugged into the charger on your bedside table, you see many missed notifications from your worried boyfriend.
(4 missed called from: Lukey @ 10:37am)
Lukey: hey you said you’d call me at 10?
Lukey: call me back pls
it was now nearing 12:00pm and you knew he would be more than a little bit pissed off that you weren’t answering him.
and you felt terrible about forgetting so you unplug your phone and called him back right away, sat on your bed with a towel around yojr hair as the phone rings in suspense.
“baby? ...let me guess? you forgot to check your phone again?..” he quickly says as you are getting more comfortable on the bed, relieved he had answered your call.
You just hum in response as he pours out his concern to you, knowing that all he’s saying is true.
“i’m so so sorry. i completely forgot. i know you’re looking out for me but i fell asleep without texting and i literally just got out of the shower.” You say and hear him sigh at your words.
“Luke i promise i’ll try to keep my phone close by cuz i know you worry...but i’m fine i promise” you say apologetically .
“i didn’t get murdered or anything..” you add jokingly but quickly follow up with an “i’m kidding...” before luke gets a chance to be a smart ass and tell you not to joke about that.
You laugh a little hearing him sigh with an unamused tone in his voice.
“anyway, how are you?” You ask trying to move on from the subject knowing he is already annoyed about you not answering his calls.
“i really miss you...” he sighs out and you hear the little bit of sadness in his voice and instantly feel exactly how he’s feeling.
“i miss you more bubs...trust me time will fly by way faster than you know it…we’ll see each other soon..i promise.” You reassure him, not trying to sound too cheesy but also trying to lift his spirits somewhat.
it’s been over 2 months since you’ve seen each other last. School has picked up and made it impossible to be able to visit him in jersey, even just for a weekend.
You were starting to forget a time where it actually was easy to see each other.
And you were getting so used to late night phone calls to one another, and luke sending you random long ass text messages about how much he misses you at random hours of the night. and you being so fed up with everything that you cave and just call him even when you know he’s busy or at practice, because you miss hearing his voice so much.
“it’s just been so long since i’ve seen your face. ugh i hate this shit so much. i’m just... so fucking over it.” Luke continues pouring out and his words are laced with a bit of anger, causing his voice to have a scratchy and dark quality.
he’s clearly getting more and more frustrated about the current situation the longer it goes on and you know he’s getting irritated with only being able to talk on the phone and over facetime. we both are.
“Luke i understand... i miss you and i love you so much. And look, i know you’re upset but there’s really not much we can do about it right now is there?” You say before luke interrupts you with a loud sigh.
“hey what can i do though? huh? ...how can i help you feel better?” You ask with as much reassurance in your voice as possible, trying hard to keep your voice high and uplifting even though youre feeling just as down and unhappy as he is right now.
he doesn’t answer and you are sat in silence for too long to still be expecting him to answer your question.
“what’s on your mind? Will u just talk to me?” You ask innocently.
“ugh. fuck! i don’t know! nothing i guess.” Luke sighs out, raising his voice and catching you off guard.
“i’m just trying to help … can you calm down a little..” you say quietly because you know he was probably wound up about a lot of stuff on his mind and you can tell that he is putting his anger in the wrong places.
“you don’t need to tell me to calm down...there’s nothing you can do ok? it’s fucking awful. i hate this...fuck..” he spits out at me. “can we just talk about something else?” he asks with his voice still raised.
“look, im not trying to force you to talk to me if you don’t want to but you called me and clearly something is on your mind..whether it’s the fact that we can’t be together right now or something else but you can’t just get angry with me for no reason.” You say sternly and hear him about to say something more but you interrupt him “just please lower your voice...” you add.
“i’m not getting angry. i’m just really fucking annoyed and you’re not helping” he says exasperatedly and you are taken by surprise with his words and a little pissed off that he’s taking out whatever he is angry about at you.
You stay silent on the other end of the phone as his words instantly put tears into yohr eyes and you don’t say anything because he is being so unnecessarily rude to you.
“i’m sorry, i’m just having a really fucking bad day...” he adds and you hold your breath trying to not make your shaky breathing noticeable as he keep talking.
You begin to feel the tears slowly start to stream down your face but you quickly blink them away knowing he’s only mad about the situation and not worth yours tears. but his words made you feel so so hurt.
there’s silence between the both of you for a few seconds as you try to get yourself together and acknowledge that he hurt you.
“Ok. Im not gonna sit here and listen to you complain about something that i literally cannot fix or change right now. i’m sorry you’re feeling upset and angry with what’s going on but you can’t just call me and take all your fucking anger out on me. it’s just not fair. i really miss you too ok? ...i’m sorry we can’t be together right now but i can’t do anything to help if you’re not going to tell me what’s actually wrong...just...call me back when you calm down a little” you say trying your hardest to not raise your voice and lash out exactly like he just did to you.
he’s quiet on the other side of the phone and you hear him about to reply as you hang up the phone before he has the chance to respond, knowing you are probably not going to like or want to hear what he has to say to you at this moment anyway.
this isn’t the first conversation that’s went like this recently. this past week luke has been getting more and more pissed off and angry rather than just upset about you not being able to see each other right now and it’s not doing you any good.
Youve been trying your hardest to just hear him out and be there for him but today’s conversation was different, usually you share a mutual sadness about not being able to see each other and talk about all the things you miss and then it cheers you both up hearing all the fun things you can do together once exams and the hockey season ends.
but today luke wouldn’t even tell you what was bothering him without getting mad and it didn’t help that he was putting his anger towards you.
Feeling really frustrated about that conversation, you plug your phone back into the charger and start to feel a slight sinking in your stomach.
You hated the fact that you just hung up on him and didn’t resolve your discussion. And you knkw it was his fault for getting angry at you but can’t help but feel a little guilty for just hanging up the phone without saying goodbye.
to get your mind off of it for a while you start tidying up your room and play some music to drown out the silence.
Now it’s almost nearing 2pm and luke hasn’t called back or even texted and it’s been almost an hour.
You begin to get more and more pissed off that he hasn’t said anything and consider just sending him a text but you remember the things he said to you . so you ignore the feeling and continue waiting for him to call you back.
-
After deciding to lay down and read a book to distract yourself, you accidentally fell asleep for a few hours. Waking up to see that it’s around 6pm...you definitely slept longer than you should have.
Surprisingly, you see that luke tried calling back and left a few texts as well.
Lukey: hi
Lukey: i’m really sorry about earlier
Lukey: can you call me back please? i need to apologize...i didn’t mean to get upset at you. i know none of this is your fault
Lukey: please call me back
You decide not to answer him right away and start making yourself some mac and cheese and sitting at the dining room table waiting as you wait for the water to boil.
You were beginning to get so impatient. Impatient with everything, but especially with luke. You wanted him to call you again. Do something, say something. Try harder.
Your thoughts were spiraling and you knew calling him back was really the only way to stop them.
After finishing making and eating your dinner you sit down at the couch to finally call luke back. at this point your stupid argument definitely didn’t feel worth all this and you felt a little guilty for ignoring him all day long.
You ultimately decide to facetime him so you can see his face and he answers you on the second ring.
immediately you see him laying down in his bed wearing no shirt and his wet hair hanging down his face on one side and his face slightly smushed against his pillow.
he smiles at you knowingly and waits for you to say something so that he knows if i’m still angry at him or not.
“why are you staring at me?” You blush a little, ignoring your anger for a moment. he just smiles back at you with his pretty little face and completely ignores the question.
Luke sees you awkward laugh a little feeling a bit insecure with the way he’s staring at you, but he continues. and he laughs lightly as he sits up and turns the light on so that you can see him better.
“i’m really really sorry baby...” he starts “i’m sorry for getting upset at you. I shouldn’t have done that. i was just so fed up and tired of not being able to see you and i let my feelings get the best of me, i also was just having a really shitty day. Practice fucking sucked today and you already know how shitty our game has been lately.” He says with honest sincerity and regret in his voice.
“i took my anger out at you which i should not have done...and im really not trying to make any excuses because I know i hurt you. And i promise i won’t get mad at you about this ever again, especially since you did absolutely nothing wrong...” he spills out apologetically.
You say nothing at first and just wait for him to continue his apology. making it clear to him that he was completely out of hand and you are not gonna put up with his bitchy attitude. And he continues,
“... to be honest i’ve been feeling like you don’t miss me as much as i miss you which sounds stupid but i just got so angry because i didn’t understand. When you forget to call or text i just…i take it hard..” he says trailing off at the end.
“what? luke i’ve been trying so hard to keep it together for you because i know how upset this makes you. trust me when i tell you i miss you more than anything...i suck at remembering things like texting goodnight and stuff because I’ve just been so exhausted with work and school. You’re on my mind all the time and i promise you that i will try harder to not forget those things.” you quickly reply, making sure he understands just how much you mean it.
“i love you so much.” You add and smile at him as uou see his small smile on your phone screen.
“i love you too baby. i’m so sorry for getting mad..” he says quietly and puts his head down a little.
“it’s ok...i understand your frustration.” You add with a little laugh letting him know you’re over it.
“i saw your instagram story..” you change the subject and he smiles at you with his face getting a bit red.
“You posted us?” You say knowingly as he smirks at you and runs his hands through his hair.
Luke had posted a slightly blurry photo of the two of you on the boat last summer saying he misses both the summer and you. It made you melt to see him gush about you, especially because he was typically such a private person.
“You are so cute..” you say honestly. and youstart to laugh a little remembering that night on the boat together and how it was the night luke asked you to be his girlfriend.
Luke wasnt always the most romantic person but he put so much thought into that night, his words, every little thing he planned he put so much care into and it was such a beautiful moment.
You would never forget it.
“im glad you saw it. i wanted to show you how much you mean to me..and how sorry i was.” he chuckles and it makes you softly laugh, knowing the world would have no idea that post was technically an apology to you.
“will you stay on FaceTime with me tonight? i miss falling asleep with you…” you ask politely and luke nods his head and smiles at you.
“of course...” he replies.
“i’m glad you’re not mad at me anymore baby” He says quietly.
“I could never stay mad at you..” you say knowing how true of a statement it honestly was.
“...and I don’t deserve you” luke says almost in a whisper, seemingly more to himself as opposed to you

Male Naga/Female Reader SFW Wordcount: 2,940 Commissions | Ko-fi | Masterlist
You get a text from a wrong number, and it sounds like they need a shoulder to cry on. Except, you keep texting, and eventually Teng asks you to meet.
Elodie sat in her cosy cottage, the fire crackling softly in the hearth. The countryside around her was quiet, a serene backdrop to her evening routine. She sipped her tea, enjoying the warmth that spread through her. The room was bathed in a soft, amber glow from the table lamp beside her. She glanced at her phone, idly scrolling through social media when a notification popped up—a text from an unknown number.
Hey, it's Teng. I got your new number from Jenna. I really need someone to talk to. You free?
Elodie frowned, curiosity piqued. She didn’t know anyone named Teng, and certainly hadn’t given her number to anyone recently; but the message was so earnest, so heartfelt. She hesitated for a moment before typing a response.
I think you might have the wrong number, but I’m here to listen if you need to talk.
Almost immediately, her phone buzzed again. Oh, I’m sorry! I thought this was my friend’s new number.
Elodie could have left it at that. It was already late, the guy had no idea who she was, but… well, curiosity had always been her weakness.
She sent another quick message asking if he needed to talk, not expecting him to answer. After all, who wanted to vent to a stranger?
To her surprise, though, he came back with yes, please.
Elodie’s heart softened. She knew all too well what it felt like to be isolated. Living in the countryside had its perks, but it also meant long stretches of solitude.
It’s no problem at all. I’m Elodie. What’s going on, Teng?
There was a brief pause before the next message came through. Thanks, Elodie. I guess it’s just difficult to talk about this stuff with people I know. They’d deny it, but I don’t think my friends really get me.
Elodie replied quickly, her fingers flying over the keys. I get that. Sometimes it feels like no one really sees you, you know? If you need to rant, rant away.
Teng's reply was swift and candid. I’m not stupid, I know I don’t exactly fit in. At work, it's even worse. I'm always the odd one out, and it’s exhausting trying to fit in.
Elodie frowned, her heart aching for him. What do you do for work?
I'm a software developer,Teng responded. It’s a job that allows me to hide behind a screen most of the time, but meetings and social events are a nightmare. Everyone is so... human.
Oh. Her heart did a little flutter. So, he wasn’t human?
Elodie paused, contemplating her next move. Would you like to call me? Sometimes it helps to talk things out loud.
There was a longer pause this time. She waited, watching the little dots on her screen that indicated Teng was typing. Finally, the message came through. I’d like that.
Elodie took a deep breath, then dialed his number. It rang only once before Teng picked up. "Hello?" His voice was thick and raspy, with a lilting Chinese accent; it sent a shiver down her spine.
"Hi Teng, it’s Elodie," she said, trying to keep her voice steady. "It’s nice to talk to you."
"Nice to talk to you too, Elodie," Teng replied, his voice softening. "Thank you for listening to me. I really needed this."
"Of course," Elodie said warmly. "So, tell me whatever you want to. Get it off your chest."
Teng sighed, and she could almost see him running a hand through his hair. "It's challenging, but I enjoy my work. The problem is the people. They always seem to be staring, judging. It’s hard not to feel self-conscious."
Elodie’s curiosity got the better of her. "Why do you think they judge you?"
There was a brief silence before Teng spoke again, his voice tinged with nervousness. "Elodie, I need to tell you something important about myself.”
She rose a brow even though he couldn’t see it, waiting silently.
“I’m a naga."
Elodie’s breath caught in her throat. She had heard of nagas, of course she had, but she’d never met one before. As far as she knew, they didn’t get along with many other people.
"That… explains some stuff," she said carefully. "Is that why you feel so isolated?"
"Yes," Teng admitted, his voice heavy. "My people usually prefer seclusion, away from the hustle and bustle of city life; but I wanted to try living in the modern world. It’s been... difficult."
Elodie’s heart ached for him. "I can only imagine how hard that must be.”
"Thank you for understanding," Teng replied, his voice softening. "Most people don’t. I moved to Oceanhall a year ago for work, but I haven’t made any friends."
Elodie felt a surge of empathy. Oceanhall wasn’t too far from her. "Hey, I get you,” she said softly. “I live in the middle of nowhere, a real countryside cottage; I’ve not exactly been making a lot of friends lately either. Maybe we could both use a friend."
"I Iknow I could," Teng said. "You have no idea how much this means to me."
They continued talking for a long time, after that. The hours ticked by without Elodie even noticing; she was so absorbed in Teng’s beautiful voice, in everything he had to say.
Despite his struggles, it was pretty clear that Teng was handling it the best he could. He told her about his attempts to fit in at office parties, the difficulties of having a six foot tail in the cramped city spaces. And, of course, his strict dietary restrictions.
"People don't get why I don't eat like them," Teng said with a chuckle. "Humans, orcs, goblins; they might have different preferences and allergies, but it all boils down to the same thing. Three meals a day, veggies carbs and all that… but us nagas are pretty much exclusively carnivores.”
“Huh. I didn’t know that.”
“Yeah. There’s one vegan at work who really doesn’t appreciate it.”
Elodie smiled, feeling a growing affection for him. "You sound like you’ve been handling it well, all things considered. It must take a lot of strength."
"It does," Teng admitted. "I didn’t realise how much better I’d feel just by talking about it, though."
Elodie’s heart swelled with warmth. "Hey, I’m glad I could help."
There was a brief pause on the line before Teng spoke again, his voice filled with an almost shy hesitation. "I just realised the time. I’m so sorry for keeping you up this late."
Elodie glanced at the clock and saw that it was indeed late, but she smiled to herself. "It’s fine, really. I’ve enjoyed every minute of our conversation."
Teng’s voice softened. "I’ve enjoyed it too. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt comfortable talking to someone."
Elodie’s heart fluttered at his words. She could hear the sincerity in his voice, and it made hersmile even broader. She was about to say something when Teng’s voice came through the line again, this time with a touch of nervousness.
"Elodie, I was wondering... I know it’s a bit of a distance, but would you maybe like to meet up sometime? We could meet halfway. I’d love to take you out to dinner as a thank you for tonight."
Elodie felt a rush of excitement at his suggestion. She had grown so fond of Teng already, and the idea of meeting him in person made her heart stutter.
"I’d love that, Teng," she said, her voice filled with genuine enthusiasm. "Dinner sounds wonderful. Let’s plan it."
There was a palpable sense of relief in Teng’s voice when he replied. "Really? That’s great. How about this weekend? I can find a nice place for us to meet."
Elodie smiled, her heart racing with anticipation. "This weekend works perfectly. I’m really looking forward to it."
"Me too," Teng said, and she could hear the smile in his voice. "I’ll figure something out. Thanks for humouring me.”
Elodie wasn’t sure how to tell him she wasn’t humouring him at all. If anything, she wanted this even more than he did. Instead of saying so, though, she simply said,”I can’t wait."
They said their goodnights, andn Elodie hung up the phone. She sat back, her mind buzzing with thoughts of Teng.
As she got ready for bed an hour later, Elodie found herself thinking of Teng’s laugh, the way his voice had that soothing, raspy quality to it, and the thoughtfulness in his words. She was excited about the prospect of meeting him, and the anticipation of their dinner date filled her with a sense of joy she hadn’t felt in a long time.
Climbing into bed, Elodie turned off the lamp and settled under the covers. She closed her eyes, a smile playing on her lips as she replayed their conversation in her mind. There was something special about Teng, something she couldn’t quite place.
***
Elodie arrived at the little cafe Teng reccomended, her heart pounding against her ribs. The gentle hum of conversation and the clinking of cutlery created a comforting atmosphere, but her mind was racing. She checked her watch and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She had been looking forward to this moment ever since she and Teng had agreed to meet. Now that the time had come, she felt a swirl of nerves.
She chose a table near the window, the warm glow of the café’s lights reflecting off the polished wooden surfaces. The cafe was charming, with an eclectic mix of patrons. She noticed a couple of orcs sharing a hearty meal in one corner and a small group of elves enjoying delicate pastries in another. It was a place that welcomed everyone, no matter their background or dietary needs.
Just then, she heard a soft rustling at the entrance. Turning, she saw him. Teng was more striking than she had imagined. He had a striking face; high cheekbones and full, plush lips. His eyes were a deep, warm shade of brown, looking about the cafe cautiously.
He was gorgeous, no doubt, buy it was his lower body that truly set him apart. Where his waist should have been, his body transitioned into a long, sleek serpent’s tail, covered in iridescent golden scales that shimmered under the café's lights.
For a moment, Elodie was taken aback. She had known Teng was a naga, but seeing him in person was a different experience entirely. Her initial surprise quickly gave way to a sense of awe. Despite his inhuman features, there was an undeniable beauty about him, and she felt drawn to him in a way she hadn’t expected.
Teng approached slowly. “Elodie?” he asked softly, his voice thick and raspy. His accent seemed thicker in person, with a slight lisp.
She nodded, managing a smile. “Hi Teng. It’s really nice to meet you.”
His eyes softened with relief. “You too.”
They stood there for a moment, taking each other in. Elodie could see the nervousness in Teng’s eyes, and she felt a wave of empathy wash over her. She stepped forward and gestured to the table. “Shall we sit?”
Teng nodded, and they made their way to the table by the window. As they settled down, Elodie couldn’t help but glance at Teng’s tail, which coiled gracefully beneath the table. The scales glinted under the warm café lights, creating a mesmerizing pattern.
“This place is wonderful,” she said, breaking the silence. “Thank you for suggesting it.”
He smiled, showing sharp teeth. “I’m glad you like it. I thought it would be a good spot for us, considering they cater to all kinds of people.”
Teng’s eyes met hers, and she could see a flicker of appreciation at her easy acceptance.
They perused the menu together, chatting easily about their options. The café offered a diverse array of dishes, from hearty stews and fresh salads to more exotic offerings tailored to different species’ needs. Elodie noticed Teng’s eyes light up when he found a section dedicated to naga cuisine.
“What are you thinking of ordering?” Elodie asked, curious.
Teng smiled, a hint of excitement in his eyes. “They have a dish here that I haven’t had in years. Fresh, raw fish and local herbs.”
“Kind of like sashimi?”
“Yeah, exactly!”
Elodie nodded. “That sounds amazing. Maybe I’ll give it a try too.”
“You don’t have to,” Teng said, and he seemed to wilt in front of her. “It’s an acquired taste, don’t force yourself.”
Her heart ached for him. Without thinking, she reached across the table and took his hand in hers. His skin was cool to the touch, dotted with beautiful gold and amber scales. His fingers curled around hers, and so Elodie gave him a light squeeze.
“I know we don’t know each other well,” she admitted. “You seem like a really good guy. I’m not forcing myself to try your food, or whatever else you’re thinking. I want to be here.”
“I’ve always felt like an outsider,” Teng admitted. “People see me and believe a whole host of things that aren’t true. I guess it’s difficult not to assume the worst.”
Elodie reached out and placed her hand on his, her touch gentle and reassuring. “I can’t imagine how tough that must be. For what it’s worth, I think you’re pretty great.”
They lapsed into a comfortable quiet, Elodie watching Teng from the corner of her eyes. He really was handsome, all dark hair and shining eyes.
When the food arrived, Elodie’s eyes widened at the sight of the meal. The dish was beautifully presented, with fresh fish slices arranged artfully over a bed of herbs. It looked almost too beautiful to eat, but the raw aspect was slightly intimidating. It wasn’t like sashimi at all.
“I have to admit,” Elodie said, glancing at Teng with a nervous smile, “this wasn’t quite what I expected. I’m a little intimidated.”
Teng chuckled softly. “Don’t worry. I’ll show you how it’s done.” He picked up a piece of fish and dipped it into what looked like a lemon sauce, then ate the piece whole.
Following his lead, Elodie picked up a piece of fish, imitating Teng’s movements. She dipped it into the sauce and took a tentative bite. The flavour exploded in her mouth; fresh and citrus, with a hint of sweetness
“Wow,” she said, her eyes widening. “This is really good!”
Teng smiled, clearly pleased. “I’m glad you like it. It’s one of my favourites.”
Elodie took another bite, enjoying the silky-soft texture of the fish. “So, what other foods do you enjoy?” she asked.
“I eat a lot of meat,” Teng explained, picking up another piece of fish. “Mostly raw. There’s one dish my mum used to make; raw tuna and watermelon salad.”
She had to admit, that was difficult to imagine. “I love trying new foods,” she said. “This is definitely new, but I’m really enjoying it.”
When he grinned, she glimpsed those sharp fangs again. It made her stomach flip and oh, she wanted to know what it felt like to kiss him.
Wait, where had that come from?
“Nagas have a drink called vargash,” Teng said, snapping Elodie from her thoughts. “It’s a fermented drink kind of like a sweet beer. It’s a shame they don’t sell it here, it goes well with fish.”
Elodie leaned forward, trying not to look at him for too long. Could he tell that she was thinking of him like this? She distracted herself by saying, “I’d love to try it sometime.”
Teng smiled. “Maybe next time we meet, I can bring some for you to try.”
Elodie felt a warm flutter in her chest at the thought of another meeting. “I’d like that.”
As they finished their meal, the underlying thrum between them became almost unbearable. Every glance, every touch seemed charged with a subtle electricity that made Elodie’s heart race.
When the server cleared their plates and brought the bill, Teng turned to Elodie with a gentle smile. “Would you like me to walk you to your car?”
Elodie’s heart skipped a beat at the thought of spending a little more time with him. “I’d like that very much.”
They stood up and made their way out of the café, the cool evening air a pleasant contrast to the warmth inside.
When they reached her car, Teng hesitated for a moment before turning to face her. “Elodie, I’ve really enjoyed tonight. Could we do this again?”
Elodie’s stomach flipped as she blurted, “yeah, I’d love to.”
Teng took a step closer, his voice soft. “Can I kiss you goodnight?”
Elodie’s heart fluttered, and she nodded. “Absolutely”
Teng leaned in slowly, his eyes never leaving hers. When their lips met, Elodie felt a surge of warmth and affection. His lips were cool and soft against hers, his fangs pressing lightly into her lower lip. He tasted of fresh herbs and lemon.
When they finally pulled away, Elodie’s heart was thudding so fast, she swore he could hear it too.
“I’ll see you again?” she asked softly.
“Of course. Same time next week?”
Elodie didn’t know how she could wait an entire week to see him again, but she nodded anyway.
They exchanged a lingering look before saying their goodnights. He kissed her again, one arm snaking around her waist to pull her close. His tail got in the way, but he curled it around her feet and Elodie shivered in delight.
“Goodnight,” Teng said quietly. “Get home safe.”
“Goodnight.”
Elodie watched as Teng disappeared into the night, her heart full and her mind buzzing with thoughts of him. Next week couldn’t come quickly enough.

Just how devoted is Jaehyun to you?
prev: part 16
wc: 6.9k nice
November 8.
You carefully swept the doe foot applicator of your favorite gloss over your lips, smacking them together to even out the product. It had a soft strawberry scent and flavor that gave your lips just the right amount of sheen. This was the last part of your makeup routine, satisfied with how you kept your face as bare as possible but covered any blemishes and brightened up the darkness under your eyes.
Today was your first date with Jaehyun.
The first semester was ending which meant you weren’t going to be classmates anymore. For the longest time, you were both meeting up at the library or the quad to study — even if it was for different subjects. But a few days ago, Jaehyun ran after you when class finished as you were rushing to your next one for a quiz, and he asked you out on a date.
You were elated, bashfully accepting his invitation and completely distracted for the entire day at the thought of going on an actual date with your crush. You initially believed that the feelings were one sided, he didn’t seem to be interested in you and was just naturally friendly. You’ve seen him around campus hanging out with other people — mostly girls, so you didn’t feel necessarily special when he met up with you at the library.
Your phone chimed as it received a text and you peered down to see the notification.
I couldn’t wait. I’m outside your dorm to pick you up.
You let out a quiet sound of surprise, rushing outside to the living room of your shared apartment to look outside the window there that was right above the entrance of the building. You saw Jaehyun leaning against the brick half wall that enclosed the property your dorm was in. He was on his phone, probably waiting for your reply.
Instead, you gathered up everything into your purse and ran out the door.
“Hey.” Jaehyun greeted you with a smile when you called out to him. He was in ripped, baggy jeans, a white shirt that fit just right, and a neutral cardigan. You felt relieved to know that you dressed just as casual as he did by sporting tight fitting, but stretchable jeans and a nude chiffon blouse.
“Hi.” You breathed, hoping it wasn’t obvious you were excited. “H-how… how did you know where my dorm was?”
His forehead scrunched ever so gently, “You mentioned it in passing when I offered to walk you home one time.”
“Oh.” You do recall him offering to walk with you back to your dorm multiple times, especially when it got too late that the librarians themselves were the ones kicking you out. You were too shy to let him, mostly because you also didn’t want to bother him with his own journey back to his place.
“Well, shall we? There’s this cafe I’ve been meaning to try in town.”
You nodded your head, taking a step forward but faltering when he just continued to smile down at you. “Is something wrong?”
He shook his head, ears a little pinker than usual, “No, sorry. Nothing’s wrong. You just look extra cute today.”
You could feel your face burst into heat at his words, “O-oh, thank you…”
Jaehyun chuckled, holding out his hand to you.
For a split second, you were scared that your palms started to sweat out of nervousness but not wanting to delay the date any further, you placed your hand on top of his. He threaded his fingers with yours and squeezed your hand, nudging you towards him.
“Let’s go.”
You’ve walked beside Jaehyun multiple times already but this time you’re walking hand in hand with him — and he’s even swaying your conjoined hands! You were screaming inside at how cute he was to do this. He gave off such a cool vibe that you didn’t think he had such an adorable side.
Autumn has started and the weather was perfect to be outside, the leaves were turning to beautiful shades of reds, oranges, and yellows. It was nice to take a stroll under them right now and it feels quite cozy, especially with Jaehyun.
He filled up the silence growing between you, not that it bothered you, with small talk. He asked about your morning and the day before, if you had any plans for the holiday break. You told him that you were going back home to your parents over the holidays and was unsure if your parents had plans to celebrate.
You could feel his thumb gently smooth over your skin as he talked about his plans over the break, mentioning how he’s going to be helping out his dad in his business.
The cafe you both arrived at was smack dab in between a bookstore and a mom-and-pop store. There were little to no patrons in the cafe from the looks of it and it still had some streamers and balloons from their opening.
“Good morning! Welcome to Cafe Hue.” One of the three workers on duty, the cashier, greeted as you entered.
You offered a smile and glanced briefly at the interior — a habit you picked up in middle school that pushed you into taking interior design. For its namesake, the overall interior was a crisp white with loud, brightly colored decors dotting the shelves. There was room for improvement with the choice of furniture, but it still works.
“What would you like?” Jaehyun asked, pulling you out of your reverie by softly squeezing your hand.
You looked up at the chalkboard menu, giving each item a thought until you settled on a hot cup of French vanilla tea. Jaehyun relayed your order to the cashier, who’s eyes seemed very eager to meet his gaze, and added his own order of an iced americano.
“Do you want anything to eat? We can share something if you’d like.”
“I don’t mind a slice of cake or muffin.”
Jaehyun bobbed his head, “Anything in particular?”
“What would you recommend?” You directed the question to the cashier giving heart eyes up at Jaehyun. She shifted her attention to you, a full second of annoyance flashing in her face before plastering a model customer service smile.
“Everything is freshly baked, our baker’s favorite is the basque cheesecake, but personally, I love the chocolate carrot cake.”
“Both sound good, so I’ll leave the choice up to you.”
The cashier’s smile brightened as she returned her attention to Jaehyun, who seemed oblivious to it.
“Then a slice of each.” He didn't wait for her to tally the order and pulled out his wallet, brandishing a black card from within and placing it on the counter. She seemed astonished to see the card in front of her, but it only took a second for her to punch your orders in while repeating it out loud to confirm. Jaehyun nodded and she swiped the card.
“Have you always been a tea person? I could have gotten you tea instead of coffee all this time at the library.” He inquired, pursing his lips ever so slightly at you.
“Not necessarily.” You shrugged your shoulders, “My mind has strongly associated coffee with productivity and since we’re not here to study, I’d rather have tea. I like both, equally.”
Jaehyun finished paying for the order and guided you to a seat by the window. He helped you into your seat briefly before seating himself.
There was a palpable pause when he looked at you and it almost became awkward until he coughed and glanced away, ears visibly red.
“I’m sorry,” He cleared his throat, “I’ve never really… taken anyone out on a date before.”
The admission made your brows shoot up a little, “What? You’ve never dated anyone?”
He shook his head, “No. Wasn’t really interested… until I met you.”
The confession made your heart skip a beat and the faintest heat rose up your cheeks. “Oh. Uhm,” You stuttered, “I… I didn’t expect that from you.”
He sighed, “I get that a lot — not to be vain or anything. I was just never interested in the dating scene.”
“Haven’t girls asked you out? None of them caught your eye?”
Jaehyun shook his head again. “They all seemed… pretentious? No, too eager? Like I’m prey or something.”
You’re still having a hard time believing that this gorgeous man has not dated at all — let alone having you as the first person he’s ever expressed interest in. “What makes me different?”
Slowly, a small smile formed on his lips, “That’s what I’d like to know.”
You woke up startled, as if your body reminded you that you were in no position to be sleeping in. Honestly, you don’t even know how you fell asleep. You remembered looking around the room in hopes to find a way out, but everything was sealed shut with bolts or protected with grills. You discovered that despite being kidnapped, you were still provided other basic necessities. The other door led to a small ensuite bathroom; just one solid square where there were no partitions or dividers between the shower and the toilet. There was even a drawer full of clothes in your size (that you found mildly disturbing).
It almost felt like Yuta wanted you to feel like you were just away from home instead of being used as bait in a trap.
“Jaehyun.” You mumbled, covering your mouth with your palm. Yuta was right. Regardless of your current relationship status, Jaehyun would do anything in his power to find you and you don’t even want to think about what he could possibly do to Yuta when he gets his hands on him.
All you could do was hope Jaehyun won’t be careless in this situation.
You looked around the room as if you would find something new, but it was more bare than a real estate showroom. Yuta seemed to have cleared the food he had brought in for you last night while you slept, and thinking about it now, you were growing hungry.
There was a small knock at the door and you expected Yuta to come in, but you were pleasantly — also slightly confused — to see someone else come in.
“Oh,” The woman meekly said, “Good morning, Ms. [Y/N]. I’ve brought you breakfast.”
You stared at her; she looked so familiar. You watched as she pushed the door open with her shoulder while her hands were occupied with carrying a tray of food and water.
When she placed it on the table, you gasped.
“Mina!”
She smiled, “I’m flattered to know you remember me, Ms. [Y/N].”
“You’ve been missing for weeks. A-are you working for him?”
The smile disappeared from her face as she vehemently denied your accusation, shaking her head. “Please don’t misunderstand this, Ms. [Y/N]! I… I’m forced to do this. If not…” Mina paused, “I’m sorry, I was only tasked to bring your breakfast. I’ll collect the plates later when I bring up your lunch. I’m sorry again, Miss. Please, enjoy your food.”
“Wait—” You clambered off the bed, but Mina was out the door with a soft click behind her.
This just left you with more questions to haunt you. Why was she here? Why was she cooperating with Yuta? Is she a victim as well?
Despite doubting the food’s integrity, you were starving and even though you were served a simple bowl of congee and orange juice, it looked like the most delicious meal you’ve seen in your life. You helped yourself to the food, savoring the flavor exploding in your mouth.
Halfway through your meal, you remembered the dream you had last night.
Your first date with Jaehyun happened almost exactly 8 years ago. Times were simpler back then; everything was just about getting deadlines done at school, going on lunch dates, and clubbing every weekend night.
You started to lose your appetite and felt like throwing up.
How did you end up here?
Burying your face into your palms, you breathed in deeply to stop yourself from crying. You didn’t want to blame Jaehyun, but it’s the truth. You can’t help but think where you would be today if you had walked away from him the first time. You could have still been roommates with Minkyung and Yebin, somewhere in the city. Maybe you could have met someone new at work or the girls could have set you up with someone. Although, you have to admit that the idea pinched at your heart.
You still loved Jaehyun despite everything. Rather than hoping to move on as quickly as you can, you wished he had done things the right way with yo—
Lurching forward, you clamped your mouth shut as you suddenly stood up, the chair falling back with a loud thud. The taste of acid and the congee you had just consumed filled your mouth and you bolted into the bathroom, kneeling at the toilet to expel the vomit.
You barfed into the bowl until you felt like you couldn’t possibly heave anything else from your stomach. Sweat started to build up on your forehead as you calmed yourself down. You spat the remaining sour taste from your mouth and hoisted yourself up, flushing the toilet while you wondered if you caught a virus again.
Then it hit you.
You were supposed to meet Dr. Ahn. Unconsciously, your hand went over your abdomen. Surely, you weren’t…
You brushed the idea away. You’ve been on IUD for years and it’s been extremely effective; why now? These were just your nerves getting to you.
“Please eat something.” Jaehyun’s mom gestured to the maid she entered his room with to replace the food they brought last night. It was barely touched and the rice had gone stale.
“I don’t have an appetite.” He mumbled through his palm, focused on the latest report from the Commissioner General. They were just more reports on how other missing women were possibly linked to him and he honestly didn’t care about it. He just wanted to know why this is happening — what did he ever do to him.
“Sweetheart, even a few slices of fruit?”
Jaehyun looked up at his mom, contemplating telling her what he’s discovered on his own but decided against it. “Sure, I’ll have an apple.”
She perked up, “Alright, I’ll go prepare it myself.”
When his mom and the maid finally left him alone, he pulled out his phone and dialed one of his recent contacts.
“I found out something crucial.” He skipped formalities and greetings. “I don’t want to discuss this over the phone. Can you gather Doyoung and Minkyung for me? And do you think she can host us?”
“Okay, hello, I’m fine, thanks for asking.” Yebin sarcastically responded. “You know any other day, I would have dropped the call.”
“You wouldn’t have picked up.”
Yebin cooed, “Aw, I’m a little touched that you know me so well.”
“Yebin.” Jaehyun impatiently said. He didn’t have the time to have these types of banter with her right now.
“Fine. I’ll contact them.”
“As discreetly as possible, please.” Jaehyun paused, “Wait, don’t ask Minkyung to host us. I’ll get back to you on that.”
Without any further questioning, they ended the call with no goodbyes and Jaehyun flinched as the door opened.
“Here you go!” His mother sashayed into his room, handing him a small plate of peeled, sliced apples. “And if you decide to have anything more, let me know, okay, sweetheart?”
He smiled up at her, “Yes, mom. Although, I might have dinner with Johnny some time soon.”
“Oh,” She said, “Why not just invite him over? Wouldn’t it be safer?”
“I don’t really like bringing home work. We’ll be fine. I’ll bring extra bodyguards if it would put your mind at ease.”
“It would, thank you. Please be careful and give my regards to Johnny. He’s always welcome to drop by here whenever he feels like it.”
Jaehyun snorted, his mother always treated Johnny like a second son and of course, he had no qualms about it. “I’ll let him know.”
Once his mother left, he picked up an apple slice and dialed a different number on his phone. He listened to the phone ring while munching on the fruit until the other person picked up.
“Hello?”
“Hello. I understand this is a bit last minute, but could we possibly meet up in your place? Out of everyone that we’re friends with, your place seems to be the safest. I’ll explain more when we get there.”
“Of course. I’m off early today so I can accommodate you guys. I’ll send my address in a bit.”
“Thank you.” He paused, “Please be careful and wary of your surroundings. As a safety precaution.”
“I will. See you later.”
“Who arranges a meeting and is late for it?” Yebin griped, flicking popcorn with the tips of her long nails to choose the one with the most butter on it.
Johnny, picking out all the pieces she had discarded on the side and tossing it into his mouth, glanced at her, “It is rush hour. Maybe he got into traffic.”
“Maybe he’s in trouble.” Yebin snapped back, shrugging her shoulders. “He could be bleeding out from a gunshot wound right now.”
“Yebin!” Minkyung gasped, swatting her shoulder briefly before clasping her hands together in prayer. “Surely, he’s caught in traffic.”
Although at the last minute, they were able to gather at Kun’s apartment at the designated time. Kun was originally worried if he could host this many people in his small apartment but he’s never been thankful for signing the lease for the one bedroom apartment over the studio type.
He’s even more thankful he believed the feng shui expert who told him to prioritize having a bigger dining area than lounge space so almost everyone tonight could be seated. He is, however, a bit embarrassed he only had movie snacks in his pantry instead to offer as they waited for Jaehyun, hence Yebin and Johnny sharing a bowl of freshly popped popcorn. Luckily, Minkyung had brought some rice cakes and chicken with her — saying it’s her cheat day and wanted to share her cravings with them.
Doyoung had finished swallowing a rice cake that was way too chewy for his liking before making a comment about Kun’s apartment. “As a doctor, I’d expected you to have a healthier food selection.”
“I don’t have guests over often and I haven’t had time to go get groceries.” He sheepishly admitted, placing the bottle of makgeolli he had received from a former patient. “I live off hospital cafeteria food most days.”
“What a mood.” Minkyung quipped, “I respect it. I used to take home leftovers from the food spreads at photoshoots to save money.”
“You always brought home the good stuff when you had small gigs back in college.” Yebin mused, flicking another butter-less popcorn over to Johnny’s side. “[Y/N] and I would always fight for the bougiest one.”
“Speaking of [Y/N],” Minkyung snapped her fingers and pursed her lips, “I haven’t heard from her in awhile. She hasn’t responded to my messages.”
“I was gonna ask the same thing.” Doyoung said before picking up another rice cake from the plate. He glanced at Kun, “I was surprised that you called me over instead of her.”
“Oh! Are we planning a surprise for her or something?”
Johnny and Kun looked at each other, then turned their attention to Yebin, who shut her eyes in annoyance when they did so.
Minkyung gasped, “Did you see that?” She asked Doyoung, “They shared a look!”
“I did.” He narrowed his eyes, aiming them at Kun. “Is there something we don’t know? Is something wrong with [Y/N]?”
“We should really wait for Jaehyun—” Kun cleared his throat, glancing back and forth from Johnny and Yebin for support.
“If something’s wrong and you guys know about it, then what’s the point of waiting for Jaehyun to tell us? We’re all equally her friends here.” Doyoung’s tone made Kun wince.
“We know that!” Yebin butted in, throwing her hands up in frustration. “But we barely know anything as well! Only Jaehyun does and this motherfucker is late—”
On cue, there was a knock on the door and Kun promptly walked over to open the door after checking who was outside through the peephole.
“About time!” Yebin hissed, crossing her arms and glaring up at him.
“I’m sorry. There was a meeting held on the case that I was allowed to listen in to.” Jaehyun said, coolly, no trace of joy or bashfulness his voice usually had when he was with them.
“Is it about [Y/N]? What happened to her?” Minkyung sat up on her seat, brows furrowed in worry.
Kun offered the last seat at the table to Jaehyun, who nodded but remained standing.
“[Y/N] has been missing for over a week now. She’s probably been kidnapped.”
“By who?” Minkyung gasped, “Her college stalker?”
Johnny scoffed, “That dude’s still after her?”
Jaehyun caught Doyoung’s gaze flickering over to him, eyes twitching briefly before he closed them and rubbed his fingers over them to pinch the bridge of his nose. He’s always been the protective brother figure in your life and being one of the last ones to find out about your current situation must be making him feel like shit.
“We don’t know yet. However,” He coughed, clearing his throat. “We have reason to believe that [Y/N]’s case is related to the string of missing women around Seoul.”
“So…” Johnny drew out, “It’s not a targeted type of situation? It’s not the creep from college?”
Jaehyun inhaled deeply and sighed, finally taking the seat that was offered to him. “From the findings of the police — the meeting I had joined earlier — it seems that the suspect does have a target… and it’s me.”
“What?” Yebin spat, “How are the other missing women related to you?”
He cupped his face, massaging in awkward circles to avoid their gazes. “As the police have uncovered, all the missing women have either worked for me, interacted with me, or… participated in an online thread about me back in high school.”
He said the last bit hurriedly, almost embarrassed about that fact.
Yebin’s face was painted with pure disgust, “You’re telling me that women are missing — most are reported to be presumably dead — because they were your fangirls back in high school? And our precious little [Y/N] has been kidnapped… because she’s your fiancée?”
Even Yebin bit her tongue when she said the last word, looking a bit apologetic when Jaehyun hung his head low. She knew calling you his fiancee dug the knife deeper into him than she had meant to. With the lack of reaction from the room, she could tell that only she knew the state of your current relationship.
“I don’t…” Jaehyun mumbled, “I don’t even know what I did to deserve this.”
“You weren’t in the best crowd in high school, but you were an angel compared to them.” Johnny spoke up, being the only one who came from Kyeonggi’s despite only attending for a year. “Who could possibly go through these lengths to get back at you?”
Jaehyun pulled his hands away from his face, expression grim and jaw tight. “I already know who it is. I don’t have enough concrete evidence, but I just know it’s him. He’s got the money to do what he wants, he’s smart, manipulative and he’s cunning and deceiving behind that fucking smile of his—”
“Smile?” Yebin cut him off, “Ooh, I knew that Japanese man was trouble! I’m canceling that fucking deal—”
“Don’t.” Jaehyun stopped her from taking her phone, “Unless you have a good reason as to why you’re breaking off a seemingly good contract with his company. Or any of you who had signed with him, for that matter.”
“Wait, wait,” Minkyung waved her hands in front of her to catch their attention, her perfectly shaped brows perpetually burrowed between her forehead, “Japanese man? Do you mean that Nakamoto guy? He’s your suspect?”
“I’ve always been suspicious of him. Everything started when he came into the picture: the number of missing women increasing… the stalking… this monopoly of their tech company in the country — especially in the security industry — that he’s offered to people around me and [Y/N]... He’s smart, yes, but like the snake he is, he’s leaving behind his skin.”
“Why aren’t you telling this to the police?” Doyoung inquired, taking everything Jaehyun had said. “You just said that the police are already investigating the case.”
“And they are. The commissioner general himself is heading the case.” He nodded, “But as I said, there’s no concrete evidence for me to pin this on Yuta.”
“Wait,” Kun interjected, “Nakamoto… Yuta? I think… he accompanied a patient of mine a while back.”
“Aren’t you a gynecologist?” Yebin scowled, “That man is not allowed to procreate— wait, he knocked someone up? Could it be one of the missing women?”
The thought of Yuta possibly touching you, consensually or not, hadn’t crossed his mind (or maybe he just didn’t want it to) and it made him seethe, balling his fists tightly until his nails dug into his palms.
“I’m not one to break doctor-patient confidentiality but if I remember correctly, he presented himself as a potential father despite what my patient was claiming.”
“What an asshole.” Yebin remarked, lips still downturned.
Kun continued, “He also seemed withdrawn from the whole ordeal — physically present, mentally absent.”
“Do you remember when this was?”
The doctor licked his lips, thinking hard about it. “Probably a few months ago? Barely a year. She was one of my first patients. She had come into the clinic with her arms around his arm, practically dragging him in. I can search for her name tomorrow at the clinic if we want to track her down.”
Minkyung gasped, “Oh my gosh, Kyungwon! We should check up on her. What if she’s been missing too?”
“Didn’t she say she broke it off with him? I guess it wouldn’t hurt to check up on her, she’s one of [Y/N]’s closest colleagues.” Yebin picked up her phone from the table and scrolled through her contacts, “Good thing I got her number last time so I could set her up with a cousin.”
“If there’s a way you can do it inconspicuously, then please do.” Jaehyun implored, “For now, I just need everyone to be on high alert. Act like you don’t know anything if you come across him.”
He sighed, cradling his jaw with his hand after propping his elbow against the table.
“Hey,” Johnny called from across the table, “[Y/N]’s a feisty girl. She’s not going down without a fight. I’m sure she’s okay.”
“I know she is. I’m just trying to figure out this fucking psychopath’s motive and plan.” He mumbled, “I’ve been wracking my brain out how it ended up this way. Did I step over his pride? Did I come off the wrong way on him when he was having a shitty day? I just don’t understand.”
“We can mull about it when we find out more things about him. My family has close connections to a prominent family in Japan, I can have someone get intel on Nakamoto from his home country.” Yebin offered, standing up from her seat. “This sicko is going to pay hell for even touching a single hair on [Y/N]’s head. I’d love to stay and plan out the ways we’re going to torture the fuck out of this guy when we catch him, but I have to handle an ingress of a museum exhibit down in Busan over the weekend. Keep me posted, yeah?”
“Of course,” Jaehyun started to rise from his seat but Yebin waved him off, “Yebin, thank you.”
“Don’t be gross, Jung. I’m doing this for her.”
“I’ll be heading out as well with Yebs. I have a photoshoot tomorrow at Daegu. I haven’t interacted with Yuta at all, and I’m hoping I don’t have to, but I’ll be vigilant.”
They saw the girls off and Kun offered the boys the case of beer he had in the back of his freezer.
“He seemed like such a cool dude. It’s rare to see guys who know the shit they work on, you know?” Johnny was the first one to break the silence between the four men quietly breaking open their respective beer cans and sipping the foam. “But I’m somehow not surprised about it either.”
“I barely interacted with him at the housewarming.” Doyoung confessed, “Even when our security system was replaced with his tech, I didn’t handle it personally.”
Jaehyun somberly acknowledged them, gently pushing the soft aluminum of the beer can that made a soft popping sound every time he let go. With their friends knowing the situation, he felt a little relieved to know he’s not alone in trying to save you.
If he could save you.
“Hey,” Kun nudged his arm and as if he had just heard his thought, said, “Don’t take it too hard on yourself. He’s playing a game that only he wants to play.”
“A game?” Jaehyun repeated.
“Well, that’s how I see it. The way I see it from what I know — which isn’t much — it seems like he’s learning about you to bait you out. Why take the time to find all these people from your past? People you don’t even know? If he’s got all this money and power to do virtually anything he wants, why waste it on them when he could’ve gone straight to people you actually care for?”
Kun shrugged, “Think of it like chess. He’s taken the rooks and the pawns — and even your queen. And the only advice I can offer now is for you to be careful and walk right into his trap.”
Just as the hour hand passed midnight, the boys called it a night. Kun saw them off at the entrance of his apartment building. Johnny had parked all the way down the street while Jaehyun was lucky to have gotten a spot nearby, offering Doyoung a ride after finding out he had commuted.
“I’m sorry, by the way.” Jaehyun said just as they buckled themselves into his car. Before Doyoung could respond, he continued, “You should be one of the first people I should tell about anything related to [Y/N]. I guess a part of me had always seen you as her older brother and I was ashamed to admit I couldn’t protect her.”
He nodded his head in acknowledgement, lips pursed in contemplation.
“You…” His voice trailed off, “You were her college stalker, right?”
Jaehyun’s fingers gripped the steering wheel, “I was.”
“Are you surprised that I know?”
“I had a feeling when it was brought up a while ago. Although as I said, you’re practically her brother. You two know everything about each other.”
“Apparently not everything.” Doyoung bitterly grumbled, slapping his forehead afterwards. “I’ve been so caught up in my own shit that I haven’t checked up on her at all even when she mentioned she had to go home to her parents because she was sick.”
Silence came over them inside the car that seemed louder than the late night city life they were passing by.
“How did you react when she told you about what I did?”
“I told her she was crazy for coming back to you. I’ve urged her multiple times to break it off again.”
Jaehyun is oddly calm. He knew he would have been thinking about all the ways to make Doyoung eat his words, but now he’s just accepting all of it. Maybe because it was over between the two of you.
“But she fought for you.” Doyoung brought him out of his reverie. “Like her life depended on it. It made her look like an idiot, for sure, but she defended you. She gave you a second chance and begged me to do the same. So I did.”
“That means a lot to me. Thank you.” Jaehyun responded once he pulled over in front of Doyoung’s building. “But… I have to apologize again. Before she disappeared, she broke up with me.”
He looked at him like he had grown a second head. “I don’t believe you. I literally just told you she fought to be with you.”
“People… change their minds.” Jaehyun turned the engine off, but didn’t unlock the car. “And I’m starting to think it’s better that way. I never considered this situation before… someone is using her against me, but then again, I’m not entirely a good person for her.”
“But you’re good to her and that was enough for her.”
Jaehyun chuckled morosely, thinking, “If only you really knew everything, man.”
“So what? After we save her, you’re just… going to let her go?”
The response weighed heavy on Jaehyun’s tongue, refusing to be spoken and heard by someone else other than his thoughts. Every fiber of his being didn’t want to let you go, he wanted to fight for your relationship — but he knew he didn’t have the right to.
“Yeah,” He eventually said, “That’s the plan.”
You woke up to a muffled noise and a soft, rhythmic thumping on the adjacent wall of your bed. You groaned, a bit annoyed that your slumber was interrupted, but shook the grogginess away to figure out what was making the noise.
Sitting up, you didn’t bother to rub at the dryness of your eyes and pressed your ear onto the wall, only to gasp and pull away with cheeks flaring up.
Was that… a moan?
You put a hand to your mouth, pressing yourself back up on the wall to hear.
That’s definitely a woman moaning in pleasure and despite not being able to make out the words, the male voice accompanying the woman’s moans was Yuta. Shame overcame you once you realized overhearing their private moment had started to make you press your thighs closer.
You scooted away, jumped off your bed and sat at the table on the other side of the room. You could still hear the soft thumps, but at least you couldn’t hear the moans. Crossing your arms, you sat back on your seat and closed your eyes.
He’s doing this on purpose, you thought. For some twisted reason, you know he wants you to hear that.
Looking out the window, you tried to gauge what time it was. Around midnight, perhaps? What was Jaehyun doing? Is he even getting enough sleep? Is he eating properly? You slapped yourself.
“For someone who broke up with him, you’re pretty concerned about him.” You murmured, but bit your lip when it began to tremble. You should be mad at him. For all that he’s done. You’re in this situation because of him. But why does a part of you want him to leave it to the police? You hoped deep in your heart that he’s not going to come here himself like Yuta is anticipating because you don’t know what this psycho is planning — what his end goal is.
But why do you care? Why does it matter? You laid your head on the table and sobbed, “I still love him.”
“Please, please if there’s any higher being listening to me right now.” You prayed, voice shaky and strained, “Please don’t let him come here. Please.”
After some time, you jolted in your seat at the sound of the door knob rustling. Had you cried yourself to sleep?
The door opened and Yuta sauntered in wearing nothing but a pair of baggy sweats that hung low on his hips, smirking at the sight of your face that’s red and puffy from crying. “Aw, did you miss Jaehyun after hearing all that? Did you enjoy the show? I’ll let you watch next time~”
This man has an innate ability to fill you with rage within seconds.
Before you could think it through, you stood up and pushed his body with all your might, running at the door he hadn’t closed yet. You were able to swing it wider, but couldn’t get a foot out when you felt your hair being yanked back. You felt a few strands snap as you yelped in pain, trying to grab at Yuta’s fist around your head.
“That’s cute.” He laughed in your ear, kicking the door with his foot. He tossed you towards the bed like a rag doll, your body just hitting the edge of it before crumbling to the floor. “Don’t do that again. I’ll forgive you this time, but if you insist on taking a little stroll outside, I don’t mind trading a few minutes of freedom for some head.”
“Fuck you.” You spat, visibly shuddering at the offer.
He just laughed again, shrugging his shoulders. “I don’t have to fuck myself. Your friend is a great fuck and leaves me happy every time.”
“What?” You massaged the part of your scalp that had been strained. When realization hit you, you gasped in horror, “Kyungwon?!”
You called out to her, scrambling onto your feet and running towards the wall. You pounded on the surface, “Kyung? Kyungwon, it’s me, [Y/N]!”
Yuta merely chuckled behind you, “Do you really think I would let her stay here overnight and discover you’re here?”
Somehow the thought of Kyungwon still being able to go home comforted you.
“That’s risky of you to bring her here in the first place.”
“It’s a gamble, but someone has to bring the prince to the damsel in distress, no?” Yuta dragged the chair you had sat on towards him and sat down.
“What do you plan on doing when Jaehyun gets here?” You heaved, keeping your emotions in check. “Do you honestly think he’s going to go here alone?”
He gave you a wicked smile, the type that made you shiver.
“I know he is.”
Yuta reached into the pocket of his pants, leading your gaze to the prominent tent between his legs that made you want to vomit. Does this type of scenario excite him? You averted your gaze to the television that turned on.
“As expected, Jaehyun had contacted your friends. Presumably to recruit them in saving you.”
A CCTV footage on what seems to be the front entrance of an apartment building appeared on screen. It didn’t look familiar to you, but then you see a familiar mop of head in the corner.
“Kun?”
“He graciously hosted everyone in his apartment. Smart move on Jaehyun since my company failed to convince the building owner’s to switch to my tech — but I doubt Jaehyun knows that. Good thing there’s a bunch of free streams of city’s CCTV on the net, huh? With a little nudge here, the camera is focused more on the apartment.”
Yuta tapped his phone and the video sped up. He only slowed it down to show you who was entering — first, it was Doyoung. Johnny followed, and Yebin and Minkyung came together.
“And last, but not the least,” Yuta sang, tapping his phone once more to show Jaehyun, even zooming into the video to get a better look at his face.
Your heart sank. He looked so sullen, it hasn’t been long, but he looked like he lost weight and aged a few years.
“Oh! I would have loved to hear what they were talking about.” He sighed, “Don’t you?”
“I don’t get what your end goal here is.” You hissed, balling your fists at your sides. “Kill Jaehyun?”
“Kill him? Heavens, no.” He laughed, “He can do that himself.”
Your nails almost pierced your palm at how much you balled your fists tighter upon hearing that.
“I want to break him — mentally and emotionally. I’ve already started to unravel him since I got the single thread that was keeping him together.” Yuta tipped his head at you, “I want to drive him insane until he loses himself — be that monster he really is.”
“He’s not a monster—”
“[Y/N], [Y/N],” He clicked his tongue in disappointment, “Should I give you another copy of his journal for you to read to pass time here? Did you forget already just because you saw him all mopey and sad just now? [Y/N], that man invaded your privacy from when you were younger! He had personally sent people to the hospital because of anger issues AND did not feel an ounce of remorse for doing so. Does that not bother you at all?”
You refused to comment, opting to control your breathing to stop yourself from hyperventilating at the reminder of the things you’ve read in the files.
“Aw, [Y/N], it’s okay. We all make mistakes. Yours was giving him that second chance.”
“No.” Your voice cracked.
Yuta’s brow rose up at your response.
“Giving him that second chance wasn’t a mistake. I don’t regret it.”
“I hope you don’t eat your words, [Y/N].” He sighed, “You haven’t read everything yet.”
“It doesn’t matter.” You snapped, defiant and curt. “I hope he kills you.”
Yuta chuckled, nonchalantly with a nod as he slowly stepped towards the door.
Your brows burrowed ever so slightly, what did he mean by that? Did he really just want Jaehyun to kill him? For what reason?
“By the way,” He said as he opened the door, the tone of his voice dropped lower and you’re mortified at how it sends pure fear shooting through you. “Try to escape again and there will be consequences. Don’t ruin the fun, [Y/N].”
And just like that, he left you once again in the room. The loud click of the lock signaled that you’re once again alone with your thoughts, drowning endlessly in questions that suffocated you to sleep every night since you’ve been here.

“Wait, did we need baking soda or baking powder?” You ask while holding the two small boxes in each hand.
Miyamura peeks over your shoulder. “Baking powder.” He says while plucking the box from your hand.
It was early in the afternoon when Miyamura stopped by your home to drop off some cinnamon rolls. A few weeks have passed since the first day of school and it was common for him to stop by after school or during the weekends, occasionally bringing sweets with him. When you opened the door the first thing he noticed was flour all over your hands and face. He quickly noticed the messy kitchen behind you and asked what happened while struggling to hold back a chuckle.
You explained that it was your grandma’s birthday today and you wanted to bake a cake for her and have it ready by the time she got back. One small problem though— you had no idea how to bake a cake.
“Thanks again for helping me out, and sorry you had to waste your Saturday doing this for me.” You say while gently cracking an egg, letting the yolk fall into the mixing bowl. You peer inside, noticing an eggshell had fallen in. Grabbing a spoon you scoop it out.
“It’s not a bother, really.” Miyamura shrugs. “I didn’t have any plans for today, so I’m glad I have something to do.”
You watch as Miyamura expertly cracks an egg open with one hand, letting the yolk fall in without any eggshells. “How do you do it? Each time I crack it open an eggshell always falls in.”
Miyamura chuckles. “It’s just practice, watch.” He grabs another egg and taps the side of the bowl with some force. Then with both hands he opens up the egg and out falls the yolk. “Now you try.”
Grabbing the last egg, you tap the side of the bowl with the egg and get it to crack. Holding it over the bowl with one hand, you look to Miyamura for guidance.
“First, grab the egg with both hands.” He gently grabs your other hand and brings it up to the egg. His hands are warm, the kind of warm that reminds you of being under your favorite blanket on a cold night. “Make sure one thumb is on the left side of the crack while the other is on the right side.”
You nod, placing your thumbs on both sides. “Now you just gently pull the egg apart, slowly.” He says, letting go of your hands.
You nod once again, gently pulling the egg apart as the yolk slips out without any eggshells falling in. “I did it!” You cheer, turning to face Miyamura.
He’s already staring at you with a genuine smile on his face. You don’t know why, but it makes your heart skip a beat. “I always knew you could. Now, the next step is to..”
You don’t process what his next words are, you’re too busy wondering why lately your cheeks heat up around Miyamura and how any sweet gesture he does for you makes your heart beat a little too fast. It’s been happening too often and you’re not sure how to feel about it. You snap out of your thoughts when he turns on the mixer, the noise echoing throughout the kitchen.
“Pass me the sugar please.”
Passing the sugar to him, you watch as he slowly adds sugar into the mixing bowl. “While I’m doing this you can get the flour mixture ready.” Miyamura looks up at you and you nod, quickly turning around to prepare it.
Miyamura had already set the flour in a bowl, all you needed to do was add the baking powder and salt. Looking at the recipe on your phone, you couldn’t find the measurements anywhere.
“Uh, Miyamura?”
“Yea?”
“I can’t find the measurements.”
“What?” He sets down the sugar, walking over to you and leaning over your shoulder to see your phone’s screen. “It doesn’t say?”
You shake your head, scrolling all the way to the bottom to find nothing. “That’s odd, try adding two and a half teaspoons of baking powder and one fourth teaspoon of salt.” He says before walking back over to the mixer.
You silently repeat the measurements in your head, trying not to forget. After adding the baking powder and salt you mix it in then bring the bowl over to Miyamura. “Alright, what’s next?” You ask.
“Add the flour into the bowl.” He says while patting the side of the mixing bowl.
“Alright!” You lift the bowl, tilting it so a good amount of flour would fall into the mixing bowl.
“But make sure to do it slowly, or else!—”
It was too late, you poured the flour in too quickly, resulting in the flour puffing up in your face because of the mixer. You look up at Miyamura, making him burst out laughing.
As soon as your grandma arrived home you rushed towards her and brought her to the kitchen to show her what you (and Miyamura) had made. Her eyes twinkled in surprise. “Goodness! I can’t believe you remembered!” She said in awe, walking up to the counter and examining the cake.
“I made sure to leave sticky notes everywhere to make sure I wouldn’t forget today!”
Your grandma walked over to you and brought you close, hugging you tightly. You immediately hugged her back, relishing in the warm embrace. How long has it been since you’ve been hugged like this?
“Thank you so much Y/n.” She whispered to you before pulling away. She turned to look at Miyamura before pulling him into a hug that surprised him. “And thank you as well young man, I can only imagine how cooking with my grandkid went.” She chuckled, which prompted a ‘hey!’ from you in response.
Miyamura couldn’t help but laugh as well. “It wasn’t a bother at all, Y/n is my friend and I don’t mind helping them.”
Your grandma nodded. “You’re such a kind young man, I hope Y/n finds someone like you in the future.”
You found yourself silently agreeing with your grandma. While Miyamura appears quiet and gloomy, he is actually really kind and caring. He’s patient, that much is certain after he helped you bake a cake, and he doesn’t get frustrated at you when you forget the simplest of things. Yeah, you wouldn’t mind dating— wait.
Once you fully processed her comment you let out an awkward chuckle. “Come on now, let’s eat!”
There’s no way you just thought about dating him.
Monday came a lot quicker than you’d like.
Sunday was uneventful, apart from you constantly thinking about your grandma's words from the previous day.
Scratch that, Sunday was the day your perspective on Miyamura changed.
You hadn’t thought about it much before, but why would you? You were content with just being friends, it was the whole reason you decided to stay with your grandma! To make friends!
But your grandma’s words left you thinking. You were happy to be his friend, truly, but was it okay to want more? To want to have something that was more than just friends?
Hugging your pillow you quickly shake your head. No! No way! You refused. I don’t like him that way! I don’t! You argued, squeezing your pillow tightly as if it were the one confronting you about your feelings.
Those words were meant for you and you alone, for no one was accusing you of liking him. There was no one to convince but yourself. You let out a sigh as you loosened the grip on the pillow, asking yourself the dreaded question.
Do I like Miyamura?
The immediate answer you thought of was yes, but you paused. Why do you like Miyamura? Was it simply because your grandma brought it up and you felt the need to make her happy, to show her you were happy with him just so she could be happy for you?
You thought of the moments you shared with Miyamura and had your answer. No, this was not because of a silly comment your grandma made. Your feelings were always there, deep down. You just never realized you wanted more until you realized you could have more.
Now what to do with your newfound feelings.
Should I just cut him off completely and hope my feelings die? You contemplated for a second before quickly shaking your head. Simply thinking about cutting contact with him hurts your heart, so there’s no way you’d actually be able to go through with it. No, be mature about this! There’s no need to do that! Just.. pretend our feelings don’t exist!
Despite your plan, sleep didn’t come easy. You spent the whole night thinking about scenarios that could happen on Monday. Maybe you walk into school and Miyamura somehow figured out you liked him and stops being friends with you, maybe he suddenly announces he’s dating Hori, maybe—
You quickly stop yourself. There was no need to overthink this, Miyamura doesn’t even know you like him! This conflict is completely one sided which means there is nothing to worry about— yet.
Before you knew it, Monday morning came and you had gotten absolutely no sleep. You sluggishly put on your clothes, wanting nothing more than to just crawl back to bed, but school was waiting for you. Miyamura was waiting for you.
You quickly shake your head to get rid of your thoughts. Running down the stairs you quickly spot the clock on the wall and notice the time. You were currently a few minutes ahead of schedule so you slowed your pace, taking your time to put on your shoes.
Ok, since I’m early, maybe I can surprise Miyamura at his door this time! You smiled at the thought. He had always been kind enough to wait for you to walk to school together, it’ll be nice to surprise him this time. Thinking about his possible reaction made you giggle, but you quickly stopped yourself. If anyone else were in the room with you they’d think you’d gone mad for laughing for no reason.
Leaving your home you make sure the door is locked before heading out. The morning air is crisp, making you wish you were back in your bed. It’ll be worth it though, seeing the surprised look on Miyamura’s face—
No! You shake your head. Gotta snap out of it! You walk up the stairs to his apartment door, footsteps echoing against the walls. You’re so lost in thought, trying to get your mind off your feelings when you bump into something, or rather, someone. You immediately jump back, ready to apologize when a voice cuts you off.
“Y/n?”
His voice was a bit deeper than usual, but you’d recognize his voice anywhere. You look up to see Miyamura, a surprised look on his face. You take a moment to recollect yourself, clearing your throat and standing up straighter. “I woke up early so I thought I’d surprise you by picking you up this time! But jeez, you left so early I didn’t even make it to your door before you left.” You explained.
He chuckles in response. “Well you got me, I’m surprised.”
He gestures to the stairs. “Since you technically got here first, lead the way.”
You don’t argue, happily going down the stairs first while Miyamura followed close behind. Once the two of you are out on the street you walk side by side, your shoulders occasionally brushing against each other.
Time goes by so fast that you sometimes wish it’d slow down.
It feels as though just a few minutes ago you had arrived at school with Miyamura, but now the school day had reached its end. It was relatively boring, except for the part where you couldn’t seem to act normal around Miyamura. He asked you a couple of times if you were feeling okay, even brushing his hand against your forehead to check your temperature (which did not help you at all). If your friends noticed they didn’t comment on it and for that you were grateful.
Forget your earlier thought, you’re glad time passed quickly.
The sun was low, painting the empty hallways a golden color. You were walking alongside Hori, helping her carry some files to put away in the student council’s room. Your shoes squeaked with each step you took, but neither of you seemed to mind. The silence around you and Hori was no longer tense, in fact, it was quite peaceful. Hori seemed content, as though whatever was bothering her before was resolved. The doors to the student council room come into view when Hori breaks the silence.
“Hey, can I ask you something?”
You nod in response. “Of course! What is it?”
“Do you like Miyamura?”
The question catches you off guard, making you stop. Hori walks a few steps ahead before slowing her pace and stopping completely, keeping her back to you.
“What do you mean?” You’re not sure how else to respond. You had just barely found out you had feelings for Miyamura, so you’re not even sure if you’re ready for your friends to know yet.
She turned to face you. “You’ve been acting off today, and I don’t want to seem nosey, but.. I was just curious.”
You’re silent for a moment, still unsure as to how to respond. Hori takes that as an answer. “Listen, it’s okay if you—”
“I don’t.”
Hori shoots you a confused look. “You don’t?”
“I don’t.” You reaffirm, hoping she doesn’t notice the shake in your voice.
Hori simply stares at you before turning and continuing to walk. You let out a sigh of relief— you’re not sure if she bought your lie, but you’re at least happy she didn’t press you to tell the truth. You don’t think you’d be able to handle admitting it out loud.
Before Hori has the chance to open the door it slides open, revealing a guy with pink hair. “Oh, sorry.” His voice is so soft you almost don’t hear it as he steps aside for Hori to enter. She thanks him and enters the room to file away the papers and your eyes briefly meet his pink ones.
For a moment you remember something you’d thought you’d forgotten. Suddenly you’re six years old again, stretching out a hand to befriend a lonely boy.
Your eyes remain on his figure as he walks away, not noticing Hori was waiting for you to hand her the files until she taps your shoulder. “Oh! Sorry!” You hand her the files and she places them inside a cabinet before walking back out to the hallway with you.
“Hey Hori..”
“Mm?”
“Do you by any chance know the guy that was just in there?”
That question catches her attention and she looks at you confused before shrugging. “No, but I can probably find out.”
You shake your head. “No it’s alright, it’s just.. he seemed so familiar.”

The Interview
Hi guyss! Thank you so much for the support for my last post, here’s another idea I’ve had and if you want a part 2 to any of my stories feel free to reach out to me!
————
summary: You’re an actress in Spain who supports atletico and are asked in an interview about Joao’s goal against your team, you playfully answer and receive a notification afterwards.
genre: fluff
pairing: Joao Felix x Y/N
————
So, Y/N, we’re coming to the end of our interview but before that, I see here in my cards that you’re a die hard Atletico fan. Is it true?” Jim, the interviewer asked. You giggled.
“It’s true Jim, growing up, my dad was a football man. We spent every weekend watching games in the stadium or at home and I still do, just not going to games because of my crazy schedule, just watching them with my Griezmann shirt at home. We’re all big fans.” you answered truthfully. You loved watching the games but sometimes it was hard to catch up.
“So, did you watch the game they played against Barcelona?” he asked, intrigued.
“I did, actually. It was heartbreaking.” you said.
“Oh yeah yeah. Felix scoring the goal.”
“Yeah, it was hard to watch because I always knew he was a good player, seeing him score against us was hard.” you answered hoping that nobody would get upset because as much as it was true, you knew you had to make interviews professionally. Especially the live ones.
Soon after, the interview was done and you were in the backstage grabbing your items to head out. It was an off-day and you had planned on going home and not do anything.
When you went into the house, your dog, Biscuit was waiting for you at the door. You played with her for a few minutes and then grabbed some treats from the kitchen and a blanket to make yourself cozy and watch some TV but your phone vibrating like crazy meant the interview was up and everyone had seen it. You weren’t a big time celebrity but your recent role in a Netflix series has gained you tons of attention.
You were going through your message requests seeing the good and the bad things people said until one name caught your eye.
Joao Felix
Sorry to break your heart 💔 he said. You stared at the message for what felt like an eternity.
Maybe one or two footballers slid in your dm’s in the past months but none had any effect on you but Joao’s single sentence made your tummy flip. Was he mad? How could you respond to this, if you were to respond of course because you shouldn’t. Right?
It’s a little late for that, what’s done is done, you wrote but deleted right after, was it too harsh. You always had a weird sense of humor and enjoyed banter in flirting but you didn’t even know if this was flirty.
Well, you could always make up for it, you wrote then but feared it might be too forward, what if he was just apologizing genuinely to a fan? Oh god that would be embarrassing.
“Don’t worry about it, it’s just your job” you wrote and sent. This is the most appropriate, you thought. And maybe, he wouldn’t even respond after this.
You were wrong, he replied back in a minute.
“What can I do to make it up to you?”
Okay, this wasn’t about all fans, you thought. Because he specifically asked what could he do for you. Breathe Y/N, breathe.
Before replying, you quickly went onto his page, he was an amazing looking athlete there’s no denying and you’re single so you shouldn’t feel bad about the butterflies in your stomach.
“You could start with a dinner.” you replied and threw the phone on the couch scared of his response. Oh god, you hope you didn’t misread the interaction.
After a few minutes you decided this was stupid and picked the phone up.
“My pleasure. Tonight at 8?” he wrote and you nearly screamed, this gorgeous man was taking you out tonight and you were already shaking.
You quickly said ok and decided to have a long shower and get ready since it’s already 5. He also asked for your location to pick you up at 8.
After the shower you went into your closet trying to decide on what to wear and ended up with a navy dress and did your makeup. Just as you were putting on earrings, you heard the door knock. You tried calming yourself and opened the door and saw the most handsome man you’ve ever laid eyes on with a big smile and a bouquet of flowers in his hands.
“Hi.” he said sheepishly.
“Hi.” you replied equally giddy.
“Are you ready?” he asked, eyeing you up and down.
“Yes, here just let me take those of your hands and we can go.” you said, blushing because he was looking at you with no shame.
He drove you to a fancy restaurant which you’d once been with your manager as a celebration but he reserved a secluded table for the two of you.
At first, you were a little nervous about being on a date with him but that quickly went away as you talked about anything and everything. You quickly realized he was the most down to earth guy and wasn’t full of himself. He listened and gave you compliments as you described your life and you listened about his career. Before you knew it, it was nearly midnight and you were having the time of your life. You didn’t have to put on a facade with him and say whatever.
When the bill came, you of course offered but he wouldn’t budge and paid for the night and helped you walk to the exit with his hand on the small of your back. You got goosebumps just from a simple touch.
You went in the car and he started driving so you put on the radio and singing along the song when he joined you. You giggled.
“What, do you not like my voice?” he asked offended.
“No, I actually do.” you said. It felt like you knew him for years.
“I had fun tonight.” he said while walking you to your door.
“Me too, thank you for everything.” you said as you walked up the stairs to your door.
You stood just looking at each other’s eyes, lost in the moment.
“I sho-“
“Do you want to come inside?” you cut him off before he could finish his sentence.
“Yeah.” he smiled as you walked in the door.
He started looking at your home, analyzing details and when he saw the pictures of your family, he smiled.
“Did I also break your dad’s heart?” he asked.
“Why, are you going to buy him dinner too?”
“No, that was all for you.” he said as he walked over and held your waist looking at you intensely.
You looked up at him and smiled. He leaned in and stopped, as a way of making sure this was okay and you gave him the permission by pressing your lips against his. He smiled into the kiss and started moving his lips immediately. You lost yourself at his touch and placed your hands behind his head, playing with his hair. His hands roamed over your body trying to hold you closer.
“Y/N, I think I like you.” he said after you broke the kiss to breathe.
“I think I like you too Joao.” you said smiling widely.
“Now take me upstairs.” you said in a quiet tone, needing more of him.
He nodded immediately telling you to jump and wrap your legs around his torso. He carried you upstairs and you strengthened the connection you found today, until the sun came up.
You opened your eyes slowly, feeling a presence next to you and it was Joao. He was still sleeping. After you went to sleep, your mind wandered if this was just for one night but seeing him next to you happily snoring made that feeling go away. You carefully escaped his arms holding you at place to wash your face and go down to the kitchen. Just as you were passing the living room, you saw the flowers he brought last night. Smiling to yourself, you picked them up to put in a vase when you noticed a card sitting in between pink tulips.
You opened it up to see what was inside and found a note from him and smiled even wider if it’s possible.
“I hope this is the beginning of a great story”
————
Ahh, this was sooo sweet even when I was writing I was smiling, hope you enjoyed it! Feedback is always appreciated luvs 🌷

What it’s like to cuddle Tf141, LV and König! Scenarios edition
Ghost
Sitting in the living room, you waiting for the special moment Ghost will step through your front door. He was coming home tonight and you were going to wait for the exact moment he steps in through the door. He said he was coming home way earlier than usual.
You watched the tv while you await your boyfriend to pop his head through the living room doorway to see you with open arms.
As time went on, you watched as the two arms on the clock went around and around. It was now quite late at night. You still have yet to hear the front door open. So you say to yourself “I’ll just close my eyes for a bit” so you did.
Moments later, Simon walked through the door quietly. Seeing as by the time he got home, the time was later so he tried his best to keep quiet. He walked slowly into the living room since he can hear the tv still on. That’s when he saw you, sitting there fast asleep. To him you looked quite awkward and uncomfortable.
So he walked over and placed an arm under your legs and one around your back. He gently lifted you and he sat down on the sofa, placing you on his lap. You started to wake up and you whispered “Simon?” He whispered back “hi, my love” you smiled and wrapped your arms around his neck and said “I missed you so much” he replied “I missed you two” you lifted his mask off. Since dating him for three years at the end of the first year he started taking the mask off; he knew he could trust you cause you loved him for him and not his looks. You have him a passionate kiss, pulling away you said “I love you” he replied “I love you too, love”.
Soap
You had been working for god knows how many hours. Your job was a hard working and determined type of job. But it also helped you sometimes to take your mind off of worrying about Soap while he’s on missions. But this time he wasn’t, so once you did your hours you clocked out and headed home.
In your car, you played some music and tapped your fingers on the steering wheel to the rhythm of the song. While on your way home your phone buzzed. Glancing at it quickly as it was on a stand, you saw a notification that mentioned a crash had taken place on the route home. So humour sighed, having to take the longer route home you had enough, fed up and stressed due to work.
Once home, you parked your car and went straight in. You heard one of your favourite voices “sweets? Are you back?” You huffed and said “yeah” he walked into the hallway and asked “what’s wrong?” You dropped your bags and just pulled him into your bubble.
He quickly placed his arms around your waist and gave you a kiss to your forehead. You said “just work, it was so stressful today” he hummed to your explanation to why it was stressful.
So he said “why don’t we go take you to have a nice bath, then maybe watch something while we have dinner?” You looked at his beautiful blue eyes and said “this is one of the reasons I love you” you gave him a kiss and he pulled away and said “I love you too”.
Gaz
You were laying in your sheared bed, watching whatever you could on your phone. On the other hand, Gaz was on his gaming pc. You always said it was ok for him to go on there, he was always away so he never got to play games. But today he has been absolutely glued to the thing.
So you asked “Ky, how long will you be?” He said “one more game, baby” you looked back at your phone and decided to look for the new Nintendo Switch your friend told you about.
After a while, you got bored. So you got up and walked over to his set up. You lifted his arms up and slotted your legs in the armchair gaps. So you sat on his lap, resting your head on his chest you cuddled into him. You heard his pc go off and feel both his arms around you. He used one hand to pull a small lever so the gaming chair payed flat. Then he rubbed your back as you two layer there.
He broke the comforting silence “I’m sorry I didn’t realise I was glued to the pc” you replied “it’s ok, I love you, Ky” he smiled to himself and replied “I love you too” he then asked “how about we get take away and cuddle downstairs?” You looked up and said “that’d be nice” he smiled and kiss your forehead.
Price
Coming back from work, you walked through the house. Since the tv in the living room wasn’t on or there was nothing sizzling in the kitchen; you knew Price was most likely in his office.
Walking upstairs you knocked on his office and heard a “come in” opening the door you saw all his paperwork in neat piles. You said “hi, John” he smiled and said “hello, darling, you alright?” You nodded and walked over to his side. You placed a hand on his shoulder and leaned down to give him a kiss. Price said “was work ok?” You nodded and said “less busy today, so not too bad” he hummed in response.
You left his office and decided to have a nice soak in the bath. You started to run the bath then you walked out to grab a small snack since your stomach started to rumble.
Coming back you took your work clothes off and hopped in the bath. And after a while you thought about making dinner. So you got out the bath and changed into your comfortable clothes, being a pair of stretchy shorts and one of Price’s T-shirts.
Going over to his office you knocked the door and walked on. Still doing paperwork Price said “hiya, love” you asked “how long will you be? My dear” he replied “uh I don’t really know, why?” You walked over and he knew what you were doing so he push himself from under the desk.
Sitting on his lap you replied “only because I was going to make dinner, by the way what would you like?” He answered “I’ll have some of that stuff you grilled up last night” you nodded and cuddled him as you were watching Price finish the last lot of paperwork.
Alejandro
Your are both at a family gathering, everyone is loving the nice weather and the amazing food that had just been placed on the table.
You were all in the garden, it was a special day for you and Alejandro especially. Today was the day you two found out the gender of your child.
Many people wore either pink or blue, you and Alejandro wore blue because you both had a many males in each family.
You were all grabbing food, you grabbed some chicken to add to the rice and vegetables. Once you were down you sat next to Alejandro at the table. He said “the food looks good” you spoke “I know I’m so glad your mother helped out with it!” He chuckled and placed an arm around you waist as you ate and he talked to his father.
After some time it was now time to find out the gender. You and Alejandro stood in front of everyone, you both held one small cannon each which had the coloured power inside.
You said “count down from three!” As everyone started to count down you both got ready to twist the tube. Everyone shouted “One!” And with that you both twisted the cannon and watched as the blue power shot into the air. People cheered and squealed in joy and excitement. You turned to Alejandro and you said “it’s a boy!” He said “we are having a baby boy!” You both hugged.
Holding onto each other like it was the last moment together. You two held each other as you both heard people shout and laugh in excitement. You whispered “I love you, Ale” he replied “I love you too, so much” he then gave a kiss.
Rudy
You two didn’t have work today, you had been feeling a bit under the weather so you took the day off. And Rudy insisted on taking care of you.
So you were wrapped up under the blanket on the sofa watching tv. Rudy had just left the room to go make you both some food. You smiled knowing he is the best at making you feel better.
Moments later he walked in with two bowls in hand. He said “here, this should help the headache you have” you took a sniff of the noodles and hummed and spoke “thank you Rudy, this smells good” he smiled as he took a seat next to you.
After finishing the food, you leaned against Rudy as you watch tv together. He placed his bowl on the coffee table and pulled you into his side. Holding you close he asked “would you like anything else?” You answered “just to stay here with you, that’s all love” he nodded and said “then that’s what we shall do” you smiled and looked up at your loving boyfriend and said “you are so good to me” he looked down and said “it’s my job to look after the love of my life” you blushed a tad but due to you feeling warm he didn’t noticed.
You said “I love you so much, Rudy” he smiled and said “I love you too” you jokingly said “I would kiss you but I don’t want to get you sick” he said “I won’t, I’m indestructible” you chuckled and gave his hand a kiss.
König
You two had just came home from a two week long holiday. Both of you had just been to Austria on holiday to visit König’s loving family.
It was a tradition to go at certain times of year, and it being the most beautiful time in Austria you both packed your bags and went.
But coming back you two had been a bit jet lagged, you the two of you left you bags downstairs and headed straight for bed. You changed into your pyjamas and jumped onto the large bed. König did the same.
You saw König had his arms wide open, so taking that opportunity you climbed on top of him and gave his a kiss. He said “did you have fun? Maus?” You nodded and said “of course, your family are the best.” He smiled and you kissed him again. He said “let’s get some sleep now” you agreed and rested your head on König’s large chest. Hearing his heart beat and feeling his hand rub your back you fell asleep almost instantaneously.
He watched as your eye lids started to close and then he too started to drift off asleep. Before that he whispered “I love you maus” and you mumbled back “I love you too”.
Hope you enjoyed!

“do you have to go in today?” you crawl to the edge of the bed and pout. you hated waking up late to see your boyfriend already dressed and ready for work. not only would you be home alone for most of the day, but it would be like this monday through friday. honestly, it was expected. dating a man who was the CEO of a major tech company, you should’ve seen this coming.
“i don’t have to work that much today, so you don’t need to wait too long, baby.” seonghwa said as he buttoned his shirt. you could lie, though. he looked hot in a shit and tie.
“okay… what time do you think you’ll be coming home? i found this movie i wanna watch-“
“just because i said i’d be home early doesn’t mean i’ll stop working. i mean, i know i said i didn’t have to work they much but i still need to send and respond to emails. that and i have a whole bunch of people who i need to supervise or have interviews and meetings with. my schedule today is very… booked.” hwa turns to you with a frown.
“so you won’t be free at all today? not even for a second? are you even gonna stop and have lunch? you’re always working and it leaves me home alone. why cant you work from home like me?” this wouldn’t be the first time you tried convincing him to work from home.
“how many times are you going to ask me that and how many times am i going to say i can’t?” he chuckled at your cuteness. seonghwa walks over to you and places a hand on your cheek, kissing your forehead to try and stop you’re complaining. he’s gotten used to it, but he still felt bad whenever he left to get into his car.
“i still think it’s worth trying.” you finally get off of the bed and stand behind him, peeking over his shoulder to watch him fix his tie. you wrap your arms around his waist and rest your cheek against his back.
“can i at least get a kiss goodbye?” you pour. seonghwa looked at you through the mirror and chuckles.
“love, you know if i start kissing you, i won’t be able to stop.”
“then don’t.” you reply. “i know you stop at dunkin’ donuts before you get on the highway, which means you leave twenty minutes earlier than you should. we have twenty minutes.”
“how the hell did you know i stop at—did you put a tracker on my phone again?” he chuckled, obviously not weirded out but flattered.
“no! i keep seeing dunkin’ donuts gift cards all over the place.” you let go of him. “and i checked your purchases on your card, nothing major.”
seonghwa turned to you and started laughing. you were so cute, he couldn’t deny your request. and you weren’t wrong, he was stopping at dunkin’ donuts before he actually had to get on the road and go to work. he places his hands on your shoulders.
“alright, twenty minutes. and after, we can try that idea you’ve always wanted to do.” he smiles and gently pushed you into the bed, making you lay on your back.
“the toy idea? see, i wanted to get one of those plugs for your prostate but i saw a cock ring that vibrated so i had to go for the second option!” you cheekily smile.
“you were about to buy me a butt plug?” hwa asked as he was undoing his tie.
“i wasn’t about to, i did.” you giggle. “if you don’t want it, i’ll take it. or you could give it to one of your horny little friends. i mean wooyoung.”
“no no, i’ll try it out. that fact that those four words willingly came out of my mouth says i don’t mind.”
that’s another thing you loved about seonghwa. he wasn’t afraid to try anything new, even if it was embarrassing. you did ask if he wanted to try wearing fishnets and he said no, but at least he gave it a bit of thought before turning down the ides when it was presented to him. all he wanted was to make you happy.
as if getting you multiple credit and debit cards wasn’t enough, he’d go out of his way to buy you things he knew you’d like. for example, those diamond earrings you two saw in the mall that one day. you didn’t bring them up again after, but he saw the way you looked at them. you wanted them. you were fully aware seonghwa was loaded, but you didn’t take advantage of that.
the only things you’ve spent a ton of money on is birthday parties, gifts and fancies, and clothes. most of the clothes and gifts were for you, but the rest were for seonghwa. it was your way of saying thank you for everything he’s done.
“seventeen minutes left.” you blurt out. “i know what we can do, or what i can do, let me suck you off!” you smile wide.
“or i could eat you out. i know i haven’t done it in a while and you seem to love my tongue.” hwa said as he stepped closer to you, messing with the strands of the tank top you had on.
“i think you have an obsession with eating me out, seonghwa.” you grab onto his shirt and pulled him over top of you, pecking him on the lips. “but i’m not completely against it.”
“oh? then sit on my face.” he tilts his head with a smile. “i’ll go easy on you since i know you have a meeting today. i don’t want you to be tired.”
“aw, you’re too kind.” his words make you blush. you sit up and scoot back on the bed. seonghwa kicked his shoes off and got on the bed next to you, laying on his back and pulling you over top of him. he grabs your hips and makes sure you were directly over his mouth. he looked hungry just looking at you.
luckily, you only wore a tank top and underwear to bed. he shifts your panties to the side and lowers your hips onto his face, earning a moan from you. you hold onto the headboard of your bed once you feel his tongue lick at your folds. now you’re desperately clinging onto the headboard trying to keep yourself stable.
the way he worked his tongue made you cry out in pleasure, lips wrapped around your clit with his tongue licking against the sensitive bud. your hand flew down and grabbed a handful of his hair, grinding your hips onto his mouth for more friction.
“mm, h-hwa…” you moaned, throwing your head back when two fingers started prodding at your hole. you needed to get away from his face, otherwise you’d squirt on him. you don’t want to do that.
“seonghwa, wai—“ before you could finish, his fingers entered you. he wasted no time pushing and pulling his fingers, curling them to hit the sensitive spots inside of you. your back arched and your thighs squeezed against his face. you were so close already, you needed to let go. he hummed against your heat, sending vibrations through your core.
you look down at him, making eye contact. his pretty brown orbs, you couldn’t help but think he looked adorable while trying to make you cum. as demanding and strict he was sometimes, he was soft when it came to you. of course he had his moments where he’d fuck you so hard, you actually thought he broke your back, but overall he was a big softie who wanted nothing more but to hear your pretty moans.
“hwa, i-i’m close!” you whimper, now gripping handfuls of his hair with both of your hands. you’re surprised how he didn’t have any bald spots yet because when you pull, you pull hard. it didn’t seem to bother him though.
“cum, baby, please.” he huffed against your pussy, continuing to finger you as you moved your hips back and forth to try and cum faster. and then, it happened. you came all over his fingers. seonghwa put his mouth back on you to lick up all of your juices, making sure not to miss a single drop as you came.
you felt like you were levitating once you did. he always managed to make you cum super hard, and he’d lick up what came out. it didn’t matter if he busted his load in you or not, he just wanted to eat you out.
your body almost flips onto his when coming down from your high. gently, seonghwa brings your body down and rests you on his lap, rubbing your back to calm you down. you two didn’t have much time for after care, but you didn’t mind this time. in fact, you were too lightheaded to even realize.
“you eat me out like a starved man…” you huffed, falling into him and breathing heavily on his chest. “i can’t even feel my legs all the way.”
“you’re adorable.” he kisses your forehead and sits up slowly not to startle you. “you still wanna use the toys on me?”
your head perked up upon hearing those words. then, you stood as if the feeling in your legs came back instantly. you get off of the bed and rush over to your side of the closet, grabbing a small black plastic bag that hung on the back of it. you take out a plug and a cocking, then the two remotes that go with it. seonghwa seemed nervous just looking at the toys, but he wasn’t one to judge a book by its cover.
“you’re still okay with using these, right?” you ask. he nods his head quickly and scoots to the edge of the bed. he was definitely happy, so there was that.
“alright, bend over.”
he was a taken aback from hearing those words from from you, but it obviously wasn’t the first time he’s heard them. he does so without word, moving his pants and boxers down enough so you could put the toys on him. he was already semi-hard.
you grab a small bottle of lube from your nightstand and open it, squeezing some onto the plug first. you giggle and press it against him before pushing it inside. he thought you were lying when you said it stimulated your prostate. his body jolts forward, a moan coming from his parted lips and you couldn’t help but giggle. it must’ve been pressing on it roughly for him to respond like that.
then the cockring. you grab his erection from behind gently put the ring around him. hwa forgot how tight the rings were since he hadn’t worn one in a long time. he definitely needed to dress casually today. a suit wasn’t going to help him conceal this at all. he didn’t want to feel his pants getting tight while talking to his co-workers.
“okay, now to test the vibrator part to make sure they work!” you say as you look at the remotes in your free hand. now holding one in each, you look at the plug vibrator. you giggle a bit before turning it up to three.
seonghwa didn’t even bother trying to stay up. he fell to his knees, his arms still resting on the mattress as his entire body trembled. the new sensation was a bit different than before.
“holy fucking—“ he began, closing his eyes as his chest began heaving up and down. “fuck fuck fuck, oh my fucking god.”
“it’s not even at the highest setting!” you laugh. “you wanna test the highest setting?”
“please, i just wanna—shitshitshitshit!” he grips the bed sheets once his plug is at the top speed. he didn’t even try silencing his moans, he felt like he was going crazy. he hid his face in his arms and arched his back, shaking his head as if he were telling you to turn it down, and you did. he fell limp, panting heavily.
“you still want me to try the ring-“
“please, oh my god..” he whined. you happily oblige and look at the remote for the cockring, turning it to the top speed. you saw him reach down, holding his cock in his hands when he felt the vibrations. he was semi-hard, but now he’s red and pulsing. that was quicker than you imagined.
“b-baby, get…get my lounge outfit, please.” he huffs. you turn the vibrations off and walk over toward the closet. you grab the black hoodie and grey sweatpants he was talking about, rushing back over and sitting them on the bed in front of them.
“you look like a whore down there.” you giggle. “using these toys are gonna be fun!”
“y/n, oh my gosh.” seonghwa moaned into his hand. he thought he would be able to handle both vibrators at once, but he was terribly mistaken.
“hmm?” you hum into the phone, swaying back and forth. you were in the kitchen making cookies for when he got back, while also having the two remotes placed next to you. the ring’s speed was at 5, while his plug was at a 6. it was only a matter of time until you put them both at ten.
“i cant focus when you have these—please just come down here. i’m begging you.” he whimpers into the phone. you didn’t say anything as you dumped a bag of chocolate chips into a bowl.
“y/n, p-please.” hwa begged. he’s been begging for the past two hours. begging for you to come to his workplace and fuck the shit out of him, and begging for his release. the orgasm denial part wasn’t even your choice, it was his. he only made it harder on himself.
“give me a good reason to go down there and maybe i will.” you looked at your phone, grabbing a spoon and mixing the ingredients in your bowl.
“i-if you come… i’ll—fuck,” he couldn’t even finish his sentences. the sensation was making him feel lightheaded. he needed to push through this. “if you come, i-i’ll take a week off j-just for you.”
“a week? that’s generous.” you say, pushing your phone away from you and getting ready to roll up the cookie dough. on the other side of the phone, you heard seonghwa shuffling around at his desk. it was clear he was struggling to sit still. you couldn’t blame him since he did have a vibrator inside of him.
“baby, please, can i at least touch myself…” he asked as he continued to shift around in his seat. that made you laugh.
“i thought you needed to focus on something? you said you needed to focus.”
“i’m trying to focus on not driving home right this second and pinning you to the bed.” seonghwa mumbled. you heard this and went quiet. he went quiet as well, which was enough to tell you he knew he was wrong. you click your tongue and nod slowly, walking toward the sink and beginning to wash your hands.
“y-y/n?” he spoke. he was so adorable. hwa cleared his throat to try and distract himself from what he said, acting as if he was looking at something else. “i-i think i’m fine—“
you turned both of the vibrators up to ten.you took the two remotes and brought them to the bedroom, putting them in a drawer then walking back into the living room. you were waiting for seonghwa to act up to do that.
“you okay, hwa?” you ask into the phone, hearing his whimpers and moans as he grips onto the desk in front of him.
“f-fuck, i’m sorry i’m so sorry, t-turn them down, please!” he pushed his chair back and lurched forward, shuddering trying to control himself. he failed miserably. his pants were tightening around him, even though he was wearing sweats, and his body was heating up faster than before. he felt like he was going to explode.
“i’ll be there in thirty minutes.” you say before hanging up.
seonghwa looked around his office for some sort of relief. he needed to do something. he knew you weren’t going to allow him to touch himself, but you never said he couldn’t—
“the couch.” he mumbles. he was going to hump the couch. he scrambled out of his chair and rushed toward the windows that see through his office, rolling the blinds down and flipping the sign in front to “do not disturb”. he was glad he hadn’t gotten rid of that sign.
seonghwa walked over to his sofa and grabbed a pillow, placing it down then laying down so his waist was right on the pillow. he pulls his pants down then his boxers, positioning himself then lowering himself onto the pillow. he let out a sigh of relief once he felt the soft fabric of the pillow touch his throbbing erection. it was painful even moving, so he hoped this would help him.
he didn’t wait to start thrusting wildly onto the pillow, his fist on the armrest of the couch and his forehead resting on it. he was so horny, he couldn’t even think. his hips stuttered, not just because he was already close to release, but because of the butt plug and cockring working simultaneously to drive him crazy.
“y/n…” he moans your name, now with one hand gripping the armrest and the other holding the pillow in place. he needed to cum. he didn’t care if he got it in the couch or not, he needed to let go. it was painful holding it in, and even worse that he was being stimulated while sensitive.
“f-fuck, so close… s-so close,” he mutters to himself, eyes shut tight with his chest heaving up and down. all he needed to do was cum and all of this would be over. or, it would be over once you came.
before he was able to cum, you barged into his office and shut the door behind you, pulling him up by his hair and causing him to halt his movement. you’ve never seen him this desperate before.”
“seonghwa… look at you,” you chuckle quietly. “humping your pillow like a pathetic slut. you couldn’t even wait thirty minutes.”
“p-please, y/n i cant…” his glossy eyes look into yours. “touch me, p-please please please. i’ll be good, just please.”
“hm. you want me to touch you, pretty boy?” you raise your eyebrow then sit down on the sofa next to him. he struggles to even sit up, scooting closer and shoving his face into your neck. you get off the couch and crouch down in front of him, curling your fingers around his cock and admiring it. it was red and veiny, pulsing as if it was telling you to suck it off.
you loved how seonghwa’s body set off every sensor in your body. yeah, you loved taking control of him, but whenever you had the chance you couldn’t help but feel like you were slipping into sub space. his moans were so cute, you’d get drunk off of them.
opening your mouth, you enveloped his tip with your lips, causing his body to jerk and his hips to thrust up into your mouth. he pushed his cock further into your mouth, and you happily took him down your throat.
“g-god, your mouth…” he entangled his fingers in your hair, moaning loudly. he didn’t care about his coworkers hearing him anymore, he needed some sort of relief.
“you’re driving me crazy, y/n.” he whimpered. you bring your head back up and use both of your hands to wrap around his member. not even a second later, you were sucking him off as if you were in a porno. you were getting into it without giving him time to prepare.
“mm, my p-pretty girl,” seonghwa whimpers as he approaches his climax. his moans became louder and the grip on your head getting tighter. “y-you’re such a slut for me.”
then, seonghwa’s back arched. he placed both of his hands on the sofa and gripped onto the couch cushions, hips digging back into it as he moaned. you felt your mouth full with his juices. he was in complete ecstasy when you looked up, face flushed and his jaw hung. his thighs shook underneath you as he emptied his load inside your mouth.
it was tingly, it was good, and he felt like you were milking him dry. and as you swallowed his mess, your hand grazed his shaky thigh gently as a way to calm him down. he didn’t have a clue whether to keep his mouth open or close it. his orgasm was so powerful, his mind went blank.
“p-please, please please please…” seonghwa begs silently, chest heaving. “you’re so good, so so good for me. i love you, princess.”
you take your mouth off of his length and smile, finally getting up and pecking him on the lips.
“i love you too, my prince.”

Jealous much?
Shu Yamino X reader
He doesn’t get jealous… right?
Established relationship, Spicy.
A.N: I’ll write part 2 if this gets to 150 notes. Part 2 would be completely NSFW. (also I promise I will write for Ike some time soon)
Part two here now!
You went to a reunion with your high school classmates with Shu.
Shu would tell you on the drive home, while he drove along the relatively empty streets. “I kinda didn’t like the way that guy was looking at you.” He would say softly, his hand letting go of the steering wheel and reaching over to your thigh to squeeze it lightly.
“Who? ____?”
“Yeah.”
“I didn’t really notice him.”
“He looked like he kept trying to get close to you.”
“Oh, he actually confessed to me in highschool but I rejected him.” You realized too late that you probably shouldn’t have told him. “Oh but, I rejected him really hard, l-like I was mean about it.” You tried to make up for your words, exaggerating a little.
Shu only hummed a reply and his warm hands leave your skin as he turned into the basement of your apartment.
Silence filled the air as you waited on the elevator, you glanced at Shu, but he doesn’t notice. You saw a stern look on his face, hoping he’d drop the thought of that guy being remotely better than him. Even though he says he’s not usually the type to be jealous, he just doesn’t know if what he’s feeling is jealousy or not.
You laid on the bed as you scrolled mindlessly on your phone, you knew Shu might’ve gone to stream or do some offline work so you finished washing up and were getting ready to go to sleep.
Shu Yamino 👟☯️ NIJISANJI EN
sorry guys! need to postpone this stream til tomorrow because something came up
You saw this notification pop up on your phone before turning it off. “Huh?”
As soon as you see this Shu opened the white bedroom door, he walked in wearing a black hoodie and shorts.
“Why did you postpone it?” You asked, sitting up.
“I’m too tired to stream, that party really exhausted me.” He said while crawling onto you, he laid his head on your chest and his slim hands held onto your back. Your hand instinctively held onto your head and played with his hair.
You chuckled, you liked it when Shu got a little more affectionate and clingy than usual.
“You should join me and sleep then.”
“Mhm..” He moved up and laid on your shoulder, nuzzling his face into your neck.
Red sneaked up to your face as you feel his breath on your neck. “S-shu? Is something wrong?”
“I….” He paused a bit, seemingly debating with himself.
“You’re… m-mine… right?”
“Huh?” You tried to move your head to look at him but his face was hidden within your hair. “What’re you talking about, Shu?” He holds onto your tighter, not saying a word.
“Of course I am. I’m yours and you’re mine, right?”
You feel the sorcerer’s soft lips form a smile against your neck. “Good.” He muttered, just loud enough for you to hear. He planted a soft kiss on your neck. Then another. And then another.
“B-babe….?”
“Hm?” He stopped, pushing up his body to look at your flustered face.
“Did you postpone your stream for this?”
His eyes widened. “Um- No…..”
You glared at him, reaching one hand up to tuck hair behind his ears. They were bright red like a lie detector that had gone off.
“Fine, but I can’t go back on my decision.”
As he said this, with a snap of a finger your shirt somehow teleported to the side of your bed, and his long raven colored hair tied up into a pony tail. Leaving you revealed with nothing to cover. He smiled softly, eyes roaming your body. “Wha- since when could you do that??”
He chuckled in a low tone, his voice reaching your ears in a melodic manner. His strong arms supported you, making you lay against the bed frame. Shu’s slightly cold hands held your waist. His tongue slid against your collar bone, making goosebumps arise, your body shivered.
“A sorcerer never reveals their secrets.”

MWRMI Part 7
My Weird Roommate, Midoriya Izuku
🍼 Week 4 Part 1 - Deku’s daycare 🍼
~•🥦•~
Summary: You are added to a secret group chat.
Bakugou forces Midoriya to take a holiday, Midoriya looses his mind and so are you.
Midoriya realizes why does Y/N feel different than his other friends.
(Author is sleep deprived but it’s Izuku’s birthday, so ignore the mistakes and enjoy the early content. 😂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!)
Warnings: Swear words, Katsuki saying inappropriate things.
First part Masterlist
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
Midoriya was barely home this week. He left with everyone the next day after the get-together and didn’t come back until late in the night, and even then, he only slept a few hours and went out again. There was a massive villain group on the loose around town so the two main agencies; Deku’s and Dynamight’s; barely had time to sleep before they were needed again.
To be honest, you needed some time to think so you really didn’t mind having a few days without the cuddly greenette but after a while the urge to see him got stronger than your common sense so you ended up asleep on the sofa just to be able to hear Midoriya’s mumbles for a few minutes before passing out again, finding yourself in your own bed the next morning.
You still don’t remember too much about that night; you know it was important and you know you are missing an important piece of the puzzle, but the memory is lost between the daydreams of soft lips and scarred hands. Your feelings are so tangled you can’t seem to see the end of it; you are stuck between feeling adoration for your favorite hero and being in love with one; adoration sounds too shallow but love sounds too fake; you are nothing but a lucky fan, so “love” is out of the game for you; Midoriya Izuku might be an affectionate, loving person but even with a big heart like his there is no way he can see you in a romantic way, so you try your best to keep your romantic feelings at bay; clearly failing at it, but you are indeed trying. Hard. Really hard.
You are quirkless and weird, you look okay but you are nothing out of the ordinary; you are not a model nor a genius, there is nothing about you that stands out enough for you to be even considered as a romantic interest.
Also, you are his flatmate. Even if things go the way you want them to, things can get weird really quickly; It’s risky business and you’ve had enough of those in the last few years so even though it hurts like hell you decide to take a step back. It’s not worth it to throw this beautiful thing between you and him away just because you can’t keep it in your pants, because honestly, the way Midoriya’s treating you is already more than what you could’ve ever asked for; he’s loving and affectionate and even you with your zero confidence can see how fond he is of you. You just need to put your stupid fluffy feelings aside and enjoy his company when he actually comes home, then get ready to have your heart broken when a better person takes your place in his heart.
It will be fine. Everything will be fine, eventually.
~•🥦•~
When you look at your phone, you are surprised to see a bunch of notifications on it; apparently, you were added to a group during the night. The group is called….
— Deku’s Daycare! —
*Bakugou added you to the group*
*Bakugou changed your name to “Freeloader”
Pikachu: Welcome to the group, Y/N! This group was made so we can keep an eye on Zuku when he’s too busy to reply to all of us!
Kacchan Sugoi: No, this group was made to talk shit about shitty Deku, because he’s an asshole who can’t even respond to messages.
EMO bitch(Jirou): No, I’m quite sure this group was made so we can all laugh at Deku’s shenanigans. Like how he said sorry to a lamppost the other day, because he bumped into it.
Piggy 🐷 (Mina): I thought this group is for surprise party planning? 🎈 💃
Glasses 👓: Guys, don’t confuse Y/N. We are all here because we worry about our friend and this way we can always get information from Bakugou-san about his well-being. As you live with our friend you will also be able to talk to us if something bothers you and we can also ask you about him when we are worried. Please, feel free to mute the group chat if it’s too much for you and we will contact you in other ways.
Kacchan Sugoi: With that said, you’ll have a long week ahead of you.
Freeloader: ? @Bakugou
Freeloader: Thank you guys for having me, it’s a pleasure to be here! Nice to meet you… Glasses?
Glasses 👓: I’m Iida Tenya. You might know me as Ingenium. Nice to meet you too.
You have no idea what’s Bakugou talking about, but the group looks really fun and you are really thankful to be a part of it. It’s still extremely weird to be involved with so many of your favorites on such a personal level, but you are getting much better at handling this.
~•🥦•~
You make your way out of your room around 10 AM to get a head start on your new commission. Midoriya’s next free day is in three days, so you don’t even bother putting on more layers; you are in shorts and a breezy tank top, your hair up in a messy bun. You do a quick stretch before sitting down at the table, your top riding up to your belly button, when you hear something falling on the floor in the living room. Ahh, your buddy is being a menace again.
“All Meowt, I told you not to sit on the coffee table! What did you…”
Midoriya stares at you from the sofa.
“Break…”
A random ball-shaped stress toy rolls on the floor until All Meowt snatches it and runs away.
“…this time?”
“Uhm… Hi.” Midoriya mumbles with a flushed face, and awkward smile decorating his pretty face.
“IZU-IZU!”
All your stupid thoughts are thrown out of the window as soon as you see the adorable greenette; you missed him so fucking much you actually had withdrawal symptoms at one point.
By the look of it, Midoriya went through the same thought process and met you halfway in the living room, hugging you tightly. Thanks to the breezy tank top his hands end up on your naked skin, sending shivers down your body; he moves his hands away while a barely audible “sorry” leaves his mouth.
“I missed you.” You look into his green eyes with a fond smile; from up close you can see how the outside of his irises are darker than the rest and it gets lighter and lighter by the middle. You also realize his eyes are absolutely huge; it’s really hard to stop staring into them.
“Stop looking at me like that.” The greenette sighs as he presses his forehead against yours; the word stops again and there is nothing but you and him in the middle of the living room.
“Why?” You mumble cheekily, a mischievous smirk appearing on your face.
Hey, it’s just two buddies having fun, okay?
“Y/N, can I kiss you?” The greenette spurts out, then pales; he almost THROWS you away the second he finishes his sentence. You stumble backwards from the strength of the push, staring at the red faced hero, waiting for an explanation. He did not say that, did he?!
“I mean, in a friendly way! On your cheeks or your hair, I’ve been thinking about it quite a lot, oh my god that was such a bad timing, wasn’t it, it sounded like I want to kiss you on your lips, not like kissing you on your lips would be a problem, I mean, you are really pretty and cute and you smell so nice, OhMyGodWhyDidISayThatOutoud, please, I really meant it in a friendly, affectionate way, oh my god I think I’m going to throw up, Y/N, what have I done, I need to go to the bathroom.” Midoriya then runs, his face changing between ‘white as a sheet’ and ‘red as a tomato’ as he hurries towards the bathroom, retching on the way.
You stare at the door for a few seconds before you burst out laughing, hysterically. There is no other way to get through this trauma than to laugh about it. Honestly, what the fuck was that?
“Don’t laugh at me, Y/N!” Midoriya whines from the bathroom. “This is so embarrassing!”
“You are an absolute idiot, Midoriya, but I fucking love you for it.” You yell in between two laughing fits as the hero emerges from the bathroom with a sad look on his face.
“Hey husband, come here.” You coo at the red faced greenette with a shit eating grin. Wow, you can’t believe you can bully your favorite hero like that. You do feel bad about it, but you can hate yourself later, now you just want to have fun.
He slowly moves closer but doesn’t look up; he just stares at the floor, mortified. You take his cheeks in your hand and give him a huge kiss on his forehead, then move down to his cheek; it’s so soft and so warm under your lips, your heart skips a beat. You can feel the blush creeping up on your face but fuck it; there is no place for a sad Midoriya in this household and if he wants kisses then he gets kisses. “Better?” The greenette just nods and pulls you close to hide his face in your neck, which seems to be his favorite thing to do with you as you guys usually end up in this position every time you get close to each other.
You don’t like the fact that he feels like he needs to hide from the world, but you appreciate the sentiment anyway; you really hope you can cure him out of this habit by the end of the year though. He’s such a great person and such a handsome guy, he really shouldn’t feel so self-conscious about himself.
“Now will you tell me why are you at home today or do I need to call Mama Katsuki?” You stroke Midoriya’s hair, his curls bouncing under your palm.
“Kacchan forced me to take a holiday. I hate holidays.” He murmurs, his face still hidden in your neck as he sighs by the end of the sentence.
“Bruhuhuh, you’ll need to be with me for a whole week? How terrible!” You act offended, pushing the green haired moron away. He looks at you with his puppy eyes and runs back to his hiding place while your heart skips another beat; this week will be awesome.
~•🥦•~
This week… is not awesome.
Midoriya has lost his mind. Completely.
The first few days were amazing; you watched movies while cuddling on the sofa, made food together and all that typical roomie jazz. The problems started when you realized you need to finish three commissions in a few days because there is a hero convention on the weekend you really want to go to and you asked the greenette to leave you alone for a bit so you can get a head start on them. He left for a day to see his mum, then came back with a bunch of homemade brownies. You managed to finish one of the commissions by the time he came back and also was able to start the other one. Great stuff.
…But this poor guy has zero hobbies. He tried to take care of the garden; he ended up overwatering everything so you left your drawing and went over to help him out; telling him about how much water the plants need, about what to cut and what not, while the hero looked at you like you just told him how to cure cancer and insisted to watch another movie while cuddling “to thank you”.
Then he tried to make dinner, almost burning the house down when he accidentally left the paper towel next to the open flame. Needless to say, you had to abandon your project and help the guy out with the rest of the cooking. He looked at you with his puppy eyes again and insisted to cuddle, because he was “really sad and lonely”.
You gave him a quick cuddle, but you really had to finish your commissions now; Midoriya moaned but he let you go. It only took him 2 hours to sit down next you and start giving you harsh feedback on every single flaw on the picture. For the next three days, Midoriya did nothing but sat next to you, sometimes touching your skin out of boredom and making you ruin a line or apply too much pressure on the paper, making a certain area darker than it was supposed to be.
This takes us all back to the present; You have 2 days to finish these bloody commissions. Two. Fucking. Days. You still have a full picture to do.
You need help. Goddamnit, you need help.
“I need to get another pencil from my room.” You stand up quickly, leaving the utterly bored hero sprawled out on the table. You fish your phone out of your pockets and start typing.
— Deku’s Daycare! —
Freeloader: Please, for the love of All Might, help me
Kacchan sugoi: You all owe me 5000 yen.
Pikachu: No way!
Freeloader: ?
Pikachu: Katsuki said you won’t last the whole week with Deku in your ass but we said you definitely will. :(
Freeloader: I’m not done with him or anything, I just need a few hours to finish a commission, that’s it really. He is indeed attached to me 24/7, but… I don’t have a problem with that part until my work is done.
Kacchan sugoi: Liar
Freeloader: Okay, he is a bit much when he’s bored.
Kacchan sugoi: There you go.
Shitty hair: Don’t worry Y/N, I’m on it!
By the time you come back with the same pencil you already had just in a different brand, Midoriya’s phone rings.
“Kiri? … yeah, I can! … that’s fine, see you in a few minutes!”
Midoriya jumps up from the table and runs to his room to change into his streetwear then runs towards the door without a single word. That’s just rude. You might wanted him to leave, but this is unacceptable.
“Not even a goodbye?” You ask, offended, with your hands on your waist.
“I’m so sorry, Eijirou asked me to come over for a bit! I really want you to come but you are busy and probably really done with me by the frustrated look on your face, so I thought I’ll just leave quickly…” Midoriya rambles without taking a single breath as he always does.
“Midoriya, I’m not done with you but I do need to finish these drawings. Stay safe, okay?”
“Will do! Bye!”
… aaaand he’s out of the door.
~•🥦•~
“Okay love, let me repeat what you’ve just said.” Kirishima looks at the disheveled greenette in front of him. “You feel rejected, because you asked Y/N if you can kiss her and she laughed.”
The other hero whines and slams his head into the table, leaving a dent in the furniture.
“Oi shithead, we just bought that fucking table!” Katsuki yells from the kitchen, rocking his all might apron while putting a batch of freshly made cookies into the oven.
“She laughed at me, yes! Like, it was a full on laughing fit! I felt like an idiot!”
“You are an idiot.” Katsuki grumbles from the kitchen; he really tries to make it look like he doesn’t care, but by the look of it, he really does. Kirishima thinks his roommate is adorable.
“So what happened after?”
“She kissed my forehead.”
Kirishima is really confused.
“So she laughed at you but then she kissed you, just how you wanted it. Am I missing something?”
“I don’t understand either!” Midoriya yells, looking like he’s having problems with his bowel movements. Maybe that’s the problem. Midoriya just needs to take a big old dump.
“It’s quite obvious, if you ask me.” The blonde comes in with a box of freshly made cookies after putting the timer on for the next batch.
Is it?! Is Kirishima missing something?
Yeah, Kirishima is indeed missing something. It only takes him one look at his best friend, who’s trying to talk to him by telepathy to understand the issue here.
“Izuku, my clueless, adorable friend.” Kirishima sighs, taking his friend’s hands into his own, slowly caressing the skin to calm the green haired man. “You do know you have a massive fat crush on her and you probably are just sad because you wanted her to kiss you somewhere else, right?”
“What? I do not h-have a c-crush on her!” Midoriya pulls his hands out of Kirishima’s grasp. “She’s my flatmate! That would be absolutely inappropriate!”
Katsuki didn’t like the way Midoriya has said that so he slams his hand on the table, leaving another dent. Oh well, it doesn’t matter anyway, it was already ruined by Midoriya only a few minutes ago so he might as well just explode it to pieces.
“Look into my fucking eyes, you dickless moron and tell me you don’t want to fuck her in those pajama shorts.” Katsuki looks deep into Midoriya’s eyes who swallows dramatically.
“Let me translate.” Kirishima smiles, clearly done with this shit. “Hypothetically… let’s say Y/N misunderstands you and kisses you on the lips. Passionately.”
Midoriya pales then gets red as a tomato, looking away into the distance while he thinks. After a few silent minutes, he starts to mumble.
“I have a massive, fat crush on my adorable flatmate in her adorable pajama shorts.”
“There you go, buddy.” Kirishima pats his head a few times, proud of his work.
“Now take these fucking cookies with you and fuck off. Invite her to the convention on the weekend as your plus one.” Katsuki slams the box in front of his friend aggressively. “What are you waiting for?! Get out of my fucking flat and bother someone else on their free day, goddamnit!”
Midoriya mumbles a few random words and quickly leaves through the window like the weirdo he is.
“Use the door, you stupid fuck! You do this every single time!”
Katsuki is in a mood. Nothing is funnier than Katsuki being in a mood when he’s wearing an All Might apron like a cute house wife.
“You are so cute, Kats.” The redhead looks at his flatmate dreamily.
“I fucking hate you too.” The blonde scoffs and retreats to the kitchen again.
Kirishima smiles to himself; he absolutely adores his friends.
— Deku’s Daycare! —
Kacchan sugoi: Midoriya stepped on my fucking window seal again.
Piggy 🐷: how dare he.
EMO bitch: Wow, so edgy.
Kacchan sugoi: No cookies for you.
EMO bitch: NOOOOOOOOOO
Piggy 🐷: NOOOOOOO
Glasses 👓: That’s indeed inappropriate. I’ll talk to him the next time I see him.
Kacchan sugoi: I’ll leave the cookies on your desk tomorrow.
Piggy 🐷: …
….Next Chapter!

Potato rambles:
- So a lovely reader asked me about Katsuki’s funny story that haven’t been told in the last chapter of the story so here it comes!
Katsuki was in his room and he was quite angry; Denki made fun of him for not trying to play around with his snake yet as everyone else had already did (don’t ask why were they talking about this…) so Katsuki decided to give it a try.
His control of his quirk wasn’t the best back then and by the end of his shenanigans, his palm exploded. He thankfully moved away quickly from his willy but ended up exploding his sheets and Kirishima ran in to check up on him after hearing the explosion, and there Katsuki was, covered in his FLAMING sheets, looking like an an absolute idiot. Needless to say, Kirishima took a picture and fled the scene, knowing the blonde can’t possibly run after him with a naked ass. Well… he certainly did. They both got detention after.
Thank you for listening 😂
- Deku wanting to throw up every time he’s about to kiss someone is so fucking funny, I can’t 😂
- Midoriya does have one hobby, it’s hero analysis but he kinda ran out of people to analyze at this point. All Meowt doesn’t like to be petted for longer than 5 minutes so he was also not helpful.
- How did Katsuki force Deku to take a holiday? I have no idea this is a fanfiction shut up
- I managed to accidentally buy another figurine yesterday. This time, it was Kirishima. I’m not sorry. At all.
- I managed to break one of my colleagues today by telling them my real age. They thought I’m 20. Fuck, I wish.
See you next week!

mb it took me so long to post this, i had writers block and didn’t really realize that the inbox was a thing bc i didn’t get notifications for it so i just thought no one asked stuff in there </3 (also this is based on s4 where they are in cali cuz i felt like hawkins was too homophobic for this) also not a lot of plot to this so it’s short ;(
════
You were waiting for this moment, the day that you finally get your way with Johnathan. You dressed in this beautiful skirt, got yourself prepared, and left to go to his house. Early that day he told you that he was home alone and needed someone to keep his company as argyle was somewhere else. When you got in your car, you looked in the mirror and took a deep breath before driving to his house. The radio turned on some Aerosmith (or whatever you want ig), which calmed your nerves, you were starting to have second thoughts about this but it was too late as you were around the corner from his house.
You mentally prepared yourself before walking into his house. Johnathan and his (ex?) girlfriend Nancy have been drifting apart lately, you were hoping now that they aren’t having the strongest relationship that you can slide in there and take her place. Before you could knock on the door he opened it, he had a flustered look while looking at you up and down. You were freaking out in your mind so you couldn’t catch the smirk on his face, along with the tent in his pants. “Come in, Y/N, I don’t want to let the cold air out.” You took your shoes off before going to his room with him following behind you, slightly looking up the skirt. You felt his eyes all over your body when you bent over for a split second to grab a book off the floor.
You tried to get up to look at him but he pushed your head down into the pillow even harder, which made you arch your back on reflex. “Stay in this position.” He demanded while he got off the bed to grab a condom and lube. As soon as he put his fingers inside of you he knew you prepared yourself, “Did you prepare yourself because you knew I’d fuck you today?” He asked while he kissed you on your back. You tried to reply to him but all that came out were muffled sounds. “I can't believe my best friend is such a slut for me.” He began kissing your body more, leaving a couple of hickies here and there. You lifted your ass right onto his crotch to give him a hint. You heard him chuckle before a ripping sound was heard and you got turned around, “I want to see and hear you.” You could only look away in embarrassment since the realization of your best friend was about to fuck you.
He started to go faster when he felt you get tight, giving you a few kisses. After a little bit, he took his hand that was holding yours so he could jack you off, you cummed immediately which made you get ever tighter. “Fuck, loosen up a bit.” He groaned. Just became you released your load, doesn’t mean he isn’t going to release his. You started to get overstimulated when he put his hands on your waist to fuck you even harder. You couldn’t help yourself but scratch his shoulder from being so overstimulated, you couldn’t process what you were doing, you just needed something to grip on. Soon enough he came, along with you cumming for a second time. He pulled out of you slowly after calming down. You were still breathing heavily when you felt a couple kisses on your neck. “I’m sorry, I don’t know why I can’t control myself.” He said before getting off you. “No- I liked it, if I didn’t I would’ve said something, I promise. I mean I did wear the skirt for a reason.” He grabbed your face, “We did have sex so I think we should make it official, we don’t have to tell everyone but-” You cut him off with a kiss before he could ramble any longer.
He cleaned you both up and let you wear a pair of his sweatpants. You both were cuddling in his bed when you heard the door open, “JOHNATHAN, WERE HOME!” You heard his mom call. He groaned, “I guess our cuddle time is over until tonight.” He gave you a quick kiss before getting up and cleaning his room a little bit so they don’t suspect much. You grabbed your book from earlier which was now on the floor instead of the bed and flipped through it looking for where you last left off, “Did you read this or something?” You looked up at him, “Yeah probably, I honestly think that-” He got cut off by the door opening, revealing Will and El, “Hi Y/N.” El said at the before telling you both that their mom said dinner is ready. You smiled at her before saying okay, you waited for them to leave before you stood up. “My back hurts god..” You whispered. You could feel him smiling behind you and you just flicked him off.

Some Things Are Meant To Be
Pairing: Joel Miller x female reader (Just Too Good To Be Gone pairing)
Word count: 7,813
Rating: M - language, mentions of sex, TLOU universe situations ... overall pretty tame for me.
Warnings: This alludes to things that happen / are covered in TLOU and TLOU 2, but doesn’t spoil anything at all.
Summary: Even in Jackson, plans sometimes change ... which results in you and Joel getting to have an almost perfect day together.
Author’s Note: Hi, friends! This was supposed to be up for Valentine’s Day, but I’m a little delayed... sorry about that.
This is just to fill in a gap in their story - and to address something very important for this couple. It takes place between “Can’t Swallow What I’m Thinkin’” and “Lessons You Learn From a Past You Can’t Change”
To get alerted when I post new chapters/stories, follow @somethingtofightfor-shares and turn on post notifications - you can also ask to be added to my tag list (link in bio or at the top of my taglist reblog)
Just Too Good To Be Gone Masterlist
Song Suggestion: “Can’t Help Falling In Love” by Elvis Presley
There was someone knocking at his door - and even though Joel rushed to answer it, it still took him longer than usual to get there.
“I’m comin’!” His voice rose as he made his way down the steps, still toweling his hair dry. “Hang on a -” When he pulled the door open and saw Tommy on his porch, Joel frowned. “Why the hell didn’t you just come in?”
“I know better.” Arching a brow, Tommy stared past Joel and into the hallway behind him. “Didn’t want to see anything I’m not supposed to, if you know what I mean.” Of course.
“She ain’t even here.” Stepping to the side, Joel waved a hand, inviting his brother in. “Stayed at her place last night because I had to be up real early today.” Joel tossed the towel onto the counter, sighing. “Gotta get that barn done before we leave on that supply run in August, means we’ve gotta get it framed before she an’ I head out to Wilson.”
“We’re pushing the barn back a couple days.” Tommy moved around Joel’s kitchen, opening a cupboard and pulling out two mugs. “Schmidt wants to give the ground more time to dry out. He’s out there rakin’ right now.”
“So what does that mean?” Joel leaned against the kitchen island, arms crossed. “We planned this out so we’d have plenty of time.” Tommy nodded, pouring water into the upper portion of the coffee maker and then pressing the button to begin brewing it.
“We did. All it means is that it’ll take the same amount of time, but we’re startin’ Friday instead of today.” They were both quiet then, and Joel chewed on his bottom lip, waiting. He didn’t need to come here and tell me. He could have radioed. “Maria left early today, too.” Tommy sniffed, turning back to face Joel. “But she’s why I’m here.”
“Everything alright?” Frowning, Joel tensed, anticipating the worst. “Tommy?”
“Yeah.” Tommy reached up, smoothing his mustache down. “She’s fine. But.” He glanced back, checking the level of water in the coffee pot, and then met Joel’s eyes again. “But she needs a couple more sets of hands today.”
“Where?” His answer was immediate, but Tommy’s wasn’t, the other man reaching for the pre-packed drawstring bags of tea and dropping one into each mug. “Tommy, I swear to God, you’re pissin’ me off, and it’s not even -”
“Do you remember when we were kids, and we used to go to Pop and Mimi’s in the summer?” Well, yeah, but… “And we’d stay there for a couple weeks?”
“‘Course.” Joel pushed off of the island and reached past Tommy, grabbing for the handle of the pot and pouring the steaming liquid into the mugs. “They’d never make us go to bed, so we’d always say up real late.” Tommy laughed, lifting the teabag by the drawstrings and dunking it a few times. “All that time spent layin’ on the ground in a sleeping bag should have been good practice for …” He trailed off, Tommy scoffing in reply.
“Yeah, you’d fuckin’ think so.” Dropping the bag into the sink, he raised the mug and took a drink, his lip curling. “I miss coffee like you wouldn’t believe.”
“You and me both.” Joel sipped at his tea. “Can you get to the goddamn point, though, Tommy?” The younger man laughed, taking another drink.
“What else did we do when we were there, Joel?” Ate a bunch of junk food? Ran around the neighborhood until we were so tired we couldn’t stand up? “I’ll give you a hint.” He paused, narrowing his eyes. “You got up close and personal with some yellowjackets the one year.”
“Berry pickin’?” Joel froze with the mug halfway to his lips. “Maria needs help with berry pickin’?”
“She does.” Tommy grinned, licking his lips after another drink. “Blueberries, raspberries and strawberries are ripe, and you know how big that field is.” I do, I’m the one that fixed the fence last year. “So instead of framin’ out that barn today, you an’ me are gonna go and help out over there.”
“But that’s where -” That’s where she is. Out there with Maria. Tommy drained his mug and placed it into the sink, stepping forward and settling a hand on Joel’s shoulder, his fingers squeezing.
“Sure is, big brother.”
—
You were bent over a row of raspberry bushes, your fingers quickly picking the ripe fruits and dropping them into a basket when you heard his voice. “Hey, you.” What is he doing here?
Turing your head toward the sound, you widened your eyes at the sight of Joel and then stood up straight, pulling a berry free as you moved.
“Joel? What are you… I thought you were working on the barn today.” You watched as his smile grew from a small one into the grin that you rarely saw on his lips - the one that made him look years younger. Stepping closer to him, you held out your hand, the berry resting on your palm. “Want it?”
Without saying anything, Joel stepped closer and reached out, waiting until you’d dropped the fruit from your hand to his. Without looking away, he popped it into his mouth, the man chewing and swallowing. “Damn, those are good this year.” They are. “And yeah, we were supposed to work on the barn today, but the ground’s wet or somethin’, so we’re givin’ it another couple days.”
“Good.” Closing the distance between you even further, you used one hand to gesture vaguely. “There’s a lot to pick here.” He looked around, the man putting both hands on his hips. It gave you the chance to stare at him, your eyes taking in the fit of his t-shirt and jeans, the way his hair curled against he back of his neck - longer than he usually wore it, but still shorter than the longest you’d ever seen it.
He didn’t spend much time in the agricultural areas of Jackson. The only times you saw him in the greenhouses were when he was coming to see you or to fix something, and it was rare that Joel had any hand in the field harvests, either. But you would have been lying if you’d said that you were unhappy to see him among the greenery.
“I haven’t picked berries since I was a kid.” Joel finally spoke, his eyes drifting back to you. “You’re gonna have to help me out.” Fighting back a smile, you reached out again, waiting for him to take your hand. Gladly.
“It’s really easy, Joel.” Leading him to the bushes you’d been working on, you reached for one of the raspberries. “Try and pull it off the plant. If it comes off easy, it’s ripe. If you need more than a little force… it’s not ready.” A berry came free and you popped it into your mouth. “Same for blueberries. But we’re not going to get to those today, because Maria claims them.” You laughed, watching Joel reach for the plant, too. “Just put ‘em in the bucket, and then when it’s full, take it over to where the wagons are.”
“We brought a couple more.” Joel licked his lips, his hands already busy with the bush. “Wagons, I mean.”
“Good.” Eyeing him, you waited a few seconds to go back to what you were doing. “We’ll need as many as we can get. There’s gonna be a ton of fruit today. The weather’s been really good this year, and the fence kept the animals out.”
“You’re welcome.” Glancing over at you, Joel smirked. “For the fence, I mean.” You rolled your eyes, leaning over and picking an unripe berry off of the ground before you tossed it at him. “Oh, you’re wastin’ fruit now?”
“No. It was already wasted.” Head shaking back and forth, you looked down. “I’m glad you’re here, Joel. Thought I wasn’t gonna get to see you much for the next couple days.” He sighed, but you caught the nod he gave in return out of the corner of one eye.
“Yeah, I thought the same thing. Glad we were wrong.” You worked in silence for a few minutes, checking on the contents of the bucket every now and then as the two of you filled it.
But it was a good silence, the man’s presence next to you coupled with the heat of the late-morning air and the bright sunlight making you happier than you’d been in a long time. And when you glanced over at Joel, you saw that he looked relaxed, too, his lips curved upward into a small smile as he kept his hands busy. I like seeing him like this.
Between the two of you, you filled three 5 gallon buckets in just over an hour, making small talk as you worked your way down the row.
He told you about the time that he and Tommy had spent with their grandparents during their school breaks, about the incident when he was eleven, his entire right hand swelling up from multiple stings, and that it had resulted in his grandmother stopping on the way home to buy both brothers ice cream.
Joel also told you about the tiny garden that he’d kept in the back yard for Sarah to play in, and the hanging basket of strawberries that hung from a shepherd’s hook every summer, the girl excited to check for fresh fruit on a daily basis.
You’d noticed that when Joel was relaxed and not prodded, he tended to open up more. and because you wanted to know everything about him that you could, you didn’t interrupt, giving him free rein to speak at his own pace.
And it was Joel that cut himself off mid-sentence halfway through the fourth bucket, the man standing up straight and saying your name, one hand held out. “What?” Looking up from where you knelt on the ground, you tilted your head to the side. “What is -”
“C’mon. Take a break with me. Let’s get some water.” He kept his arm extended, but instead of reaching for it, you gave yourself permission to look at him - taking in the sight of the man’s sweat-damp forehead, the dark spot near the collar of his shirt and the way the sun was shining through his hair and highlighting the silver strands in his messy curls, some of them sticking to the back of his neck. Look at him.
Finally taking his hand, you let him pull you up, his fingers tightening around yours. “Gonna grab that bucket, we might as well empty it.” You picked it up but Joel took it from you and the two of you headed for the wagons, the man dropping your hand but not straying far.
Once you’d emptied the bucket into the larger crate, he set it down and waited for you to fill up two cups from the cooler that was sitting under the shade of a tree, the man taking one from you. “We can go sit over there.” Using your free hand, you gestured to a shady space about twenty feet to the right, facing away from the town.
You passed Maria and Tommy on the way, the two of them huddled over a row of blueberry bushes, pulling fruit away from the plants. Your friend glanced up but didn’t say anything, the woman winking before she returned her attention to her husband. “This shit’s almost harder than construction.” Joel groaned as he lowered himself to the ground, leaning his back against one of the fenceposts. “My knees are gonna feel awful tomorrow.”
“Yep.” Taking a seat next to him, you drank deeply from your cup, the cool water delicious as you swallowed it. “But it’s going to be worth it when there’s fresh pie and jam.” Turning your head toward him, you smiled. “That’s the best part about picking the fruit; we get to take some home without worrying about waiting for distribution.”
“Really?” His eyes widened. “Ellie’s gonna love that.” I know. You leaned in, eyes still locked with Joel’s.
“Yes, really. That’s why they rotate people in here, so that it’s spread out a little more between anyone that wants some extra. It’s not … there’s a lot of fruit, but it’s still kind of shitty to take more than you need. Honor system, you know?”
“That wouldn’t have worked in Boston.” He snorted, finishing his water and setting the cup down. “A handful of blueberries would have probably cost an entire ration card, maybe more. There was a literal black market for seeds, and some … some produce was worth more than goddamn pills.”
“That’s a surprise.” You finished your water, too, and then leaned back next to him, stretching your legs out in front of you. “Since you were a smuggler, did … did you ever smuggle food, Joel? Or was it all stuff?” He’d talked about his jobs plenty of times, but aside from telling you about some of the most memorable ones, he hadn’t gone into much detail.
“Anything and everything.” Joel reached up and ran his hand through his hair, shrugging. “Me an’ Tess would take on any job we were offered as long as the pay was right. Only thing we never did was smuggle people.” Joel paused and then laughed, the sound carrying on the breeze. “And then Marlene asked us to get Ellie out of the QZ, and …” He trailed off.
“And we all know how that turned out.” Extending your hand, you settled it on his knee. “Do you ever miss it? Not the danger or the actual job, but I mean…” I mean Boston. I mean the life you had there.
“I miss the unpredictability, sometimes.” Turning his head, Joel stared at you, his eyes warm from the bright sun overhead. “Never knew who we were gonna meet or where the job would take us. Made some really good connections that way, but…” Joel shook his head. “No. I don’t miss anything else. I didn’t do it because I wanted to, I did it because I had to and because I… we were good at it.”
“Oh.” You stared at each other for a few seconds, the uncertainty of how to respond giving you pause. That makes sense, but … but what do I say back? He spoke up then, negating the need for you to come up with anything in response.
“We should get back to it. How many more buckets do we need to fill?”
“It’s not by buckets.” Pushing to your feet, you brushed the backs of your legs off as Joel stood, too. “We have to finish the first two rows and then check on the others. They plants are different kinds, so usually theres a week or two in between when they’re first ready.” Swiping at your brow with the back of your hand, you eyed the man. “We’re almost done. That’s another good thing about a day out here … it’s never a full day.”
He didn’t laugh at that but you got a smile out of him, and only a few minutes later, you and Joel were back between the rows of bushes, both of you busily plucking the ripe fruits from their stems.
You continued to speak, trading stories back and forth, but even that trailed off into another comfortable silence - and then, just before you opened your mouth to ask him a question, you heard it.
Joel was humming as he picked - and when you glanced over in surprise, you saw that he was still smiling.
—
When he got home a little after 2 PM, the house was empty. Joel set the small containers of fresh berries that you’d insisted he take for himself on the counter and then headed upstairs, stripping his sweaty shirt off and throwing it onto the pile before he pulled on a new one.
Part of him wanted to take a shower, but the other part of him knew it would be better to wait, since you’d be over later that night for dinner and that meant he’d probably need to shower before bed. So Joel opted to put it off, instead heading into his workshop and deciding to make the most of the remaining hours of daylight.
He had a few commissioned projects to complete - a guitar for one of the guys he’d gone on patrol with a few times, a couple of small animal carvings as gifts for a pair of 8 year old twins, and two cutting boards - along with a shelving unit that he was working on for you. But when Joel sat, he didn’t know where to begin.
The change in his morning assignment had been a shock to him, but in a good way. He hadn’t been lying when he’d told you that he missed the unpredictability of smuggling in Boston, and though everything about Jackson was much less stressful, Joel was sometimes bored. Nah, that ain’t even the right word.
He leaned back on the rolling stool, rubbing a hand over his eyes. Safety and security weren’t boring, but the routine sometimes was. Even when he’d been assigned work duty in Boston, the location had changed often, and so had his duties and expectations. In Jackson, things were much more set based on skill and interest instead of necessity.
Before Jackson, Joel hadn’t ever imagined that a place like it could exist. And he sure as hell hadn’t thought that there’d ever be another easy day, time spent in the sun and doing something that was work, but wasn’t hard work.
And there was an immediate reward, too - more than the extra portions of fresh fruit on the counter, or another few days where he wouldn’t end the night with blistered hands.
He liked the carpentry projects that he worked on, and he didn’t mind the patrols or wall duty, but even after two years in the settlement, getting thrown a curveball - like what had happened that morning - was a welcome respite. Even somethin’ small, he thought as he ran a palm over one denim-clad thigh. Like gettin’ to spend a day with her outside.
He’d seen you watching him earlier, glancing over when you thought he wasn’t looking, your eyes taking in every inch of his frame, and he hadn’t minded at all. But he’d only seen it because he was also watching you every chance he got.
He paid attention to everything, but especially to you - to the way your deft fingers plucked the fruit from the stems and dropped them into the bucket that sat between you. He focused on the way that you’d occasionally stop to pop a berry into your mouth, a quiet sigh escaping your lips as you bit down on it, the same hand reaching up to wipe tiny beads of sweat from your brow with the back of it before you returned to your task. And Joel zeroed in on the way the sun hit your face, forcing you to squint a little and tilt your head, exposing the column of your neck to his greedy eyes.
It was more than that, though - Joel’s feelings for you growing faster than he thought possible in such a relatively short period of time, and every new detail was a revelation to him, no matter how small.
“Get your shit together, Miller.” He groaned and wheeled himself back toward the table, both hands reaching out for his tools.
He started with one of the carvings - a rabbit - and for a few minutes, he worked in silence, every scrape of the chisel producing a small, curled wood shaving that dropped onto the tabletop.
But he couldn’t focus, and so with a roll of his eyes, Joel sat the piece and his tools down and then stood, scrubbing his hands over his face before heading into his bedroom.
You were a distraction, but for the first time in a long time, Joel didn’t think that was entirely a problem.
He’d been successful at pushing feelings and emotions to the side for a most of his life - beginning before Outbreak Day, and then after had been a different story. But I let Tess in. And I let Ellie in. Lowering himself onto the edge of his bed, he turned his head, gaze landing on the side of it that you always slept on. And then I let her in.
Even from the beginning, he’d admired your patience. In some people, that patience was a weakness, but in you, it was something more - something almost tactical, and he’d recognized it the very first time he’d met you.
That patience made it possible for you to keep a cool head even in difficult circumstances. The longer he’d spent around you, the more Joel understood how much of an asset that truly was, especially when he’d been used to using his fists and brute strength to make people see things from his point of view.
You’d reminded him of Tess - and he’d told you that without shame, the admission that that woman would have liked you an honest one, though it hadn’t come at the best time. But you took it in stride, much like you did so many other things, and as more and more time went on and the two of you got closer, Joel had - unwittingly - started to open up more than he’d ever wanted to before.
The circumstances allowed it, and though he’d been hesitant to fully give in, Joel couldn’t help himself.
There was never an option for a casual physical relationship with you - the idea had repulsed him. Remaining friends and friends only would have been possible up until the moment he’d heard your real laugh the night he’d come to check on you after finding out about your sister. That single sound had done him in, and from there, everything snowballed.
He’d known that you coming over to watch a movie would probably end with the two of you in bed. He’d known that despite the fact that the guilt he still carried - and would carry until he could tell you the truth - would eat at him, he wasn’t keeping anything from you, he was keeping a secret for Ellie, and there was an important distinction. He’d also known that like with the little girl, the moment he admitted to himself that he felt something for you, it would be impossible to pretend that he didn’t.
“Well, shit.” Joel laid back, keeping his feet on the floor and covering his face with both hands. Friendship was natural, especially when the two of you weren’t depending on each other for survival. Feelings, he was alright with too, because they were proof that he was still alive - and the ability to get close to him was a feat all on its own, which meant that you were doing something right.
But the thing that had taken root in his heart the previous winter? The realization that it was more than concern for and admiration of you, that there was more to it than simple attraction? He’d forced himself to bite it back each time it threatened to reveal itself, despite the fact that each time he did it, it got harder and harder to ignore.
Things weren’t normal, and they never would be, no matter how safe it was inside the walls of Jackson.
There were parts of his past that Joel couldn’t overlook or ignore, things that he fully believed would come back and haunt him given enough time - and he hated the thought of you getting caught up in them. Especially if she doesn’t know. Rubbing at his eyes, Joel took a deep breath and then stared at the ceiling, lacing his fingers together atop his abdomen.
He’d already broken his rules with you, time and time again, and even though you never made a big deal out of it, he knew you understood. And so do Tommy and Ellie, because … they know me. All of ‘em. Words were meaningless - promises were made and broken every single day, and so he’d made it a point to show you what he felt in and out of the bedroom, and Joel hoped that the message was loud and clear. Even if I can’t say it.
The sound of the front door slamming followed by Ellie’s voice calling his name urged him into action. With one final groan, Joel sat up and then stood, using one hand to rifle through his hair before heading back downstairs, the girl a perfect distraction.
“Joel? You here? What are -” There was a pause and then Ellie swore, her excitement evident in the next words she spoke. “Holy shit, fresh fruit? Where did -”
“I’m here.” He stopped in the doorway, leaning against the frame. “Didn’t go and work on that barn today. Went an’ picked fruit instead. Figured you’d like to have somea those berries.”
“Can I?” She was leaning over the counter, her palms flat on the surface. “I didn’t even know they were ready and we walk by the garden like… every day. Dina said -”
“You can, but don’t eat ‘em all. I’m supposed to save some for breakfast.” The girl’s eyes widened, her mouth falling open. “Muffins, I think. Don’t quote me on that, but -”
“She’s making us muffins?” Ellie groaned and popped a blueberry into her mouth. “God, Joel, you know if you just asked her to move in, it would be much easier.” What? He froze, Ellie’s name on the tip of his tongue, but she continued, reaching for a raspberry. “Like, there’s plenty of room here. I live in the garage, and it’s not like you need two bedrooms. Fuck these are good.” She took another berry and then stood up, gesturing at the kitchen. “You two are just going back and forth between two houses, and it’s stupid.”
“Ellie, I …” I don’t know what to say. “She’s lived in that apartment almost the entire time she’s been here, I don’t think she wants to move.”
“Dude, she’d move in here with you yesterday if you asked.” She reached for a strawberry, picking the stem and leaves off before she raised it, eyeing the fruit without looking at him. “What are you waiting for?”
“I don’t know.” He answered honestly, stepping into the room and stopping opposite her before leaning forward and resting his elbows on the countertop. “Hasn’t come up.”
“So bring it up.” She finished her strawberry, shrugging her shoulders as she chewed, her eyes locked with his. “It’s easy.” It wasn’t, though - not for him, but Joel knew how persistent Ellie could be and so he nodded, reaching forward to pick up a couple of the berries, too.
“We’re goin’ on that supply run in August. Maybe I’ll…” He frowned. No, I will. “We’ll talk about it then. We’ll have plenty of time.”
“Good.” She grinned, tossing a blueberry in his direction. “She’s not gonna wait forever for you to ask.” The thought terrified him, and he knew that while Ellie was telling the truth, she wasn’t doing it to scare him - it was just her nature. But she ain’t wrong. “Do you think I can go pick some of these?” She pointed at the containers, reaching up to scratch at the back of her neck with her other hand. “I could eat this whole thing right now.”
“You can ask.” He smiled, nodding. “She’s comin’ over for dinner tonight, and she’ll know better than I will.”
“Cool!” Ellie grinned and straightened up, too. “One of you come get me when she’s here, alright?”
He assured her that he would and then Ellie was gone, back out the front door and leaving Joel standing in the bright light of his kitchen. The girl’s words gave him even more to think about, and with a quiet laugh, he turned and headed back for the stairs. At least the damn wood can’t talk back.
—
The sun was sinking lower toward the horizon by the time you made it over to Joel’s that night, a small bag slung over one shoulder and another in your hands. Even though you’d showered and changed, you could still feel the sunlight from earlier, your skin pleasantly warm from the time you’d spent outside.
And because you were in a good mood, you’d dressed for the occasion, intending to surprise Joel. I just hope he … doesn’t think it’s weird.
Stepping onto the porch, you raised your hand to knock, closing your eyes and taking a deep breath. “Joel?” You called his name as your knuckles made contact with the wood and then stepped back, waiting.
It didn’t take him long to reach the door and pull it open, the man’s mouth opening to greet you and then freezing that way, his eyes going wide. Guess he doesn’t think it’s weird. “You… damn.” Joel sucked in a breath and then stepped back, gesturing for you to come in. “Never seen you dressed like this before. What’s the …” With a smile on your face, you passed him and headed into the kitchen, Joel trailing behind you.
It was just a dress - a dark blue, calf length sundress with a tiny floral print on it, a belt tied loosely at the waist. You’d paired it with comfortable sneakers to make it more practical, but you understood his reaction. Because it’s not at all what he’s used to seeing me in.
“Figured it would be alright for a couple hours, hmm?” Setting the smaller bag down on the island and the larger one on one of the kitchen chairs, you turned back to face him. “I don’t do this often, but -” He cut you off when he stepped forward, one hand rising to cradle your cheek against his palm, the other landing against your opposite hip. “Joel?”
“Wish you could do it more.” Lips quirking up briefly, he leaned in and kissed you, the man’s mouth soft on yours. “Easy access for me.” You couldn’t contain your laughter, winding your arms around him and letting Joel pull you even closer, the man’s mouth dropping from yours to your neck, his smile still evident. This feels so normal. Feels… like before.
“It’s good to hear you making jokes, Joel.” Murmuring the words, you threaded your fingers through his hair, a smile on your face, too. When you separated a few seconds later, you pulled your hands away from him and crossed them over your chest, though you didn’t look away. “I brought other clothes. Something to sleep in, and something to wear tomorrow, but if you -”
No way.” He nodded, pressing his lips together in a thin line. “You know that whenever you’re here at night, I’m never gonna ask you to leave.” You did know that, but you liked confirming it - and part of you knew that Joel also liked the confirmation, because it told him that despite all the time you’d been together, you still weren’t expecting things from him. “Ellie wanted me to let her know when you got here.”
“Yeah?” He nodded, jerking his chin toward the window.
“Yeah. She wants to go out to pick next time the fruit’s ripe, and I told her to ask you because you’d know more.” Of course she does. She’s never been. “I’ll go an’ get her.”
“Joel, wait.” Reaching out, you rested your hand on his arm. “Wait just a few minutes.” He was confused and you understood. Usually, you were all for bringing Ellie in to spend time with the two of you, and that night’s hesitation was a surprise to him. “It’s stupid. I know it is, but …” Gesturing to the things you’d unpacked you rested your hands on the counter and lowered your chin. “I never get to see you like you were earlier today, and I just thought … Joel, I just thought that we could keep going like it’s…”
It had sounded better in your head while you showered and got dressed, and again while you walked to his place. But as you spoke the words, you realized how foolish it was to pretend - to ask Joel to give you even a few more minutes for a stupid fantasy. “Like it’s what?” He stepped closer, one large hand landing atop yours. “Keep it goin’ like it’s what?”
“Like we both called off work and spent the day together.” You scoffed, looking up and rolling your eyes. “Like we had a day date and now we’re going to have one tonight. I’ll make dinner and bake muffins, and we’ll sit together and eat, and …” You trailed off, lifting one hand to cover your face. “It’s so stupid. God, just hearing myself say it, it’s -”
“It ain’t stupid.” He said your name, squeezing your hand. “At all.” It is. But thanks for… thanks for trying. “You want a couple more minutes with me?” You nodded, despite yourself, and he nodded back, pulling away from you and putting his hand on his hip. “Alright. You tell me what you need to me to do.” I…
You let yourself stare at him again, searching his face for a sign that he was just humoring you - and you couldn’t find one.
All you saw were his eyes on you - the man watching you with barely-concealed desire, the skin of his cheeks and the bridge of his nose slightly sunburned, the freckles there standing out more than they usually did and making you fall even harder for him than you already had.
Tell him. Tell him that you - “I brought pasta.” Swallowing hard, you closed your eyes and took a breath. “Figured we could use those tomatoes and some garlic and make a sauce, and we’d have spaghetti. I didn’t have any meat, but -”
“I do.” He pointed at the refrigerator and then moved toward it. “Some bison, actually. It’s steaks, but we can use the grinder.” He trailed off as he stepped past you and opened the refrigerator, only speaking again when he’d set the package down on the island next to you. “Grind it up and add it the sauce. How’s that sound?” It sounded perfect to you - much like every night spent with Joel and doing domestic things sounded. Stop being so goddamn ridiculous.
“Good. It’ll be nice to see that thing get some use.” He raised a middle finger at you, turning away to grab a bowl while you spun to fill a pot with water, prepping it for the noodles. As always, the two of you moved fluidly together in the kitchen, and within only a few minutes, you were crushing tomatoes and garlic and Joel was feeding the meat into the funnel, cranking the arm with his other hand.
Pausing to watch, you felt your cheeks growing warm at the way his biceps flexed with each motion of his hand, Joel’s t-shirt pulled tight against his broad chest. You’d never get tired of looking at him, and you knew that not only was the world too far gone for trivial things like that to matter, you were much too old to stare at him like a teenager with a crush. But what’s the point if…
“You’re staring.” He’d finished with the meat, both of the man’s hands flat on the countertop and his eyes on you. “Makin’ sure I’m doing it right?”
“No, Joel.” Setting the knife down, you picked up the cutting board and dumped everything into a bowl, giving yourself a few seconds to recover before you faced him again. “I know you’re doing it right, I’m just …” Placing the board in the sink, you turned back toward him, surprised to see that Joel was night next to you. “What are you -”
“Washin’ my hands.” Holding them up, he smirked. “Don’t wanna get raw meat all over you.” All over me? What? “Don’t put that on the stove yet.” He stopped you as you reached for the bowl of ground meat, your hands freezing just before you grabbed it. “Wait a minute.”
—
The sight of you at his front door - wearing a dress had almost derailed the entire night, Joel barely able to restrain himself from taking your hand and leading you up to the bedroom right then and there. It was rare that he was speechless, but he had been that night, the sight of you making his throat dry and his fingers flex in anticipation and admiration.
Your explanation for your outfit - and for waiting longer to call Ellie in made perfect sense to him, and despite his best efforts, he let himself think about what a normal life with you would be like.
Instead of infected and bandits and pasts shrouded in shame and mystery, Joel imagined date nights and road trips, visiting friends and reaching milestones - one of which Ellie had suggested earlier, and another that he’d been putting off for far too long. But so has she, and it’s for the same reason.
You eased the tension as you started prepping dinner, and grinding the meat gave Joel a little more time to gather his thoughts.
But when he caught you staring, your eyes fixed on what his hands and arms were doing, he knew that putting it off any longer was the wrong decision. And so he made a joke, giving himself a few more seconds to mentally prepare, followed by a second joke, the man rinsing his hands quickly and then turning back to stop you from rushing with the cooking. “Wait a minute.”
You stopped, caught between Joel and the island, and much like the first night you’d been over for a movie, he didn’t try to stop himself from closing the distance to kiss you, his damp hand pressed to the center of your back, bare skin the only thing he could feel beneath it.
He kissed you hard, wasting no time with easing you into it, the man’s tongue parting your lips and seeking more from you, the angle of your head adjusting automatically to accommodate his. Your hands gripped the material of his shirt, urging him to get closer, and when you sighed against his lips, one hand letting go and then stroking slowly over his back, he felt the knot of anxiety in his chest loosen. That’s it.
He already considered you family - and he was certain everyone in Jackson knew it, thanks to the incident that had happened with Cooper and the bloater in the old middle school. The two of you were rarely apart when you weren’t working on on patrols, and there was no question as to whether or not Ellie wanted you around. He knew where Tommy stood on the topic of you and having a place in Joel’s life.
As the kiss continued, both of you briefly breaking to breathe, Joel finally understood everything - admitting the truth to himself for the first time even though deep down, he’d known it for months. She’s hesitating because I am.
When you separated, he eased himself backwards, putting a few inches of space between the two of you without letting go, and then Joel said your name again, the sound catching in his throat. “I shoulda said this sooner.”
“Said what, Joel?” Pulling your lower lip back and between your teeth, you dropped one hand to his waist, the one that had been fisting the material of his shirt remaining in place. “What are -”
“I’m done waitin’.” He smiled at you, nodding. “And I think you are, too.” There was confusion in your eyes and he winced. No more of that. The man nodded twice, raising a hand to your face and taking your chin between one finger and his thumb, making sure that your eyes were on him before he said anything else. “I love you.”
It felt like a dam breaking - three words that he hadn’t said out loud to anyone in twenty years leaving his mouth and meant only for you to hear - and if your reaction was any indication, you weren’t fully prepared for the flood. But it feels right. He lifted his thumb, stroking it slowly over your lower lip, the man unable to look away, even as tears welled in your eyes.
“Say it again.” Your voice wavered, tongue darting out and making contact with the tip of his finger briefly. “Joel, please say it again.”
“I love you.” That time, his voice cracked, but a small smile followed, Joel’s next words rushed. “And I know what saying that means, and I know that it ain’t a -”
“I love you, too.” There was no hesitation, your voice much stronger than his had been. “I have for a while.” He felt relief at your admission, and even though he’d been almost certain that you felt the same, part of him - the part of him that was still firmly rooted in the past and what he’d done - had doubted. Not her, but … whether or not I deserve it.
You kissed him then, the press of your lips reassurance and relief indeed of a something demanding, and Joel didn’t want to let you go. But I have to. We’ve gotta make dinner, and Ellie’s comin’ in, and … “Hey.” He spoke quietly, his forehead pressed to yours. “We’ve gotta….”
“I know.” With a long sigh, you pushed him away, your eyes glittering with unshed tears. “Go get her. I’ll start cooking.” Stepping away, from you, Joel stopped at the sound of your voice, turning to look at you from over his shoulder. “We can talk later, if you want.”
Of course I want that. “Yeah. We can.”
—
You replayed it over and over in your mind for the next few hours, but no matter how many times you heard Joel’s voice telling you that he loved you, you knew that it wouldn’t ever be enough.
It had caught you off guard, and if you hadn’t been pressed up and against the edge of the kitchen island, you knew that you probably would have lost your balance. He loves me. He loves me and … You’d had an idea that he felt that way, but never actually thought you’d hear him say it. And I get it, but I … I still wanted it.
Dinner went smoothly - Ellie coming in just in time to help you cut and toast a loaf of bread while the meat browned and the noodles cooked. The three of you ate in the living room, the TV playing an old comedy movie that Ellie found hysterical.
You barely paid attention to it, instead curled up against Joel’s side, the man’s arm around your shoulders and holding you close. You wondered what he thought of the situation - of the three of you spending the night together in his house after such an immense admission only a few hours earlier.
But his even breathing and the way his hand never faltered in the slow and steady path it was making against your upper arm told you that everything was fine. Good. Because I don’t know what I’d do if things were different now.
Ellie sad goodnight around 10, the girl heading back to her garage and leaving you and Joel alone in the house. As soon as she was gone, the silence was almost overwhelming, even with the sounds of Joel checking the door and window locks.
“Upstairs or down here?” He appeared back in the doorway, leaning against the frame, and the man kept his eyes on you while he waited for your answer.
“Probably down here for now.” Raising a brow, you wrinkled your nose. “We don’t usually talk much up there.” Joel laughed and came back into the room, lowering himself onto the couch next to you and then reaching out, pulling you toward him. You helped, easing over so that you were partially sitting on his lap, and then the two of you stopped moving, the room silent around you.
The overhead light was dimmed, casting shadows into the corners of the room, and after only a few minutes, the movement of Joel’s hand started again, the rough pads of his fingers trailing up and down your arm. “I haven’t told anyone that I love them since … since Sarah.” He sniffed, taking a long breath. “And I haven’t said it to a woman since Nadine.”
That shocked you, your hand pressing harder against his chest in response. Since Nadine? “Joel, I don’t… you didn’t…”
“Even before,” he started, the hand not on your arm sliding up and down your cotton-covered thigh. “I only said it when I meant it.” Lifting your head, you met his eyes, the vulnerability in them clearly visible. “I mean it now.”
“I know.” Leaning in, you pressed your lips to his cheek and then dropped them down, letting them linger against the bare patch closer to the edge of his jaw. “I mean it too.”
“Good.” He forced out a laugh and you backed off, watching as he frowned. “Don’t know what I would have done if you you didn’t.” His tone was serious, but you saw a flicker of relief cross his features, the man smiling briefly.
It made you laugh, though. Your entire body shook as he pulled you close, drawing you into the protective circle of his arms like he had so many times before. “I’ve loved you for a long time, Joel. Didn’t say it because, I didn’t want to scare you off, but … that doesn’t mean it wasn’t true.”
You didn’t think he was going to reply, but then Joel did, kissing the crown of your head and speaking once he’d turned his head to press his cheek there.
“Yeah… I know you did. I’m sorry it took me so long to get outta my head about it.”
You couldn’t fault him for waiting. Things weren’t like they had been before, and even though you’d wanted to hear the words from him, you’d always known that when - and if - he said them, it couldn’t be because you’d prompted him to do so.
“No need to apologize, Joel.” Backing off, you reached up, stroking his bearded cheek with your thumb. “You said it now, and that’s all that matters.” He nodded, eyeing you. “And to be honest, you said it without saying it, too, for a long time, but…”
“So did you.” He leaned in, the man’s lips moving slowly against yours. “All the damn time.” The kiss was languid, you and Joel staying as close as possible for a long time - and then you broke away from him, standing and extending your hand.
“Come on, Miller.” He leaned forward, reaching up and twining his fingers with yours. “Got some more things to say to you upstairs.”

you flopped onto your bed and let out an relieved exhale that your day had finally come to a close. with a comeback only days away, you and your members had been finishing work around 2 AM just to get back up around 5 AM. however, for the next three days, work days were finishing early so that you didn’t look tired when the showcase and other activities began. you opened your text messages for the first time since this afternoon, just to see your friends blowing up your notifications.

you set your phone aside and opened your laptop to log into the streaming service website that was connected to your Veil app. it took a few tries before you correctly put in your password and found Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. you checked the time again and saw it change to 9:00 PM. not even a second late, your laptop chimed and you saw the video call icon lighting up indicating that your match was calling you. the excitement you had was replaced with anxiety as your finger hovered over the answer button. not wishing to miss the call you answered and immediately your camera turned off and the voice filter was activated.
there was a beat of absolute silence on both ends of the call until you both burst into laughter at the awkwardness. despite the voice filter and the girl’s blurred camera, you could see her silhouette double over before flipping her long hair over her shoulder when she sat back up once her laughter subsided. she was the first to speak, the smile evident in her voice, “hi jasmine.” you shyly replied, “hi lyra.” silence fell over the two of you once again before you blurted out, “i’m sorry this is so fucking weird!” the girl nodded in agreement and said, “this reminds me of like high school on the zoom calls when you had to ask a teacher a question after class, y’know?”
you let out another laugh and added on, “wait did you ever fall asleep during class on accident or something and you woke up and it was just you and the teacher?” yunjin snorted and said, “not me but one of my friends did and i knew because we would text each other during the class. so when the class ended i kept asking questions to the teacher so i had a reason to stay on the zoom call. but i was also calling my friend’s phone at the same time.” you admitted between laughs, “you’re better than me because i would have left the call so quickly.” the girl laughed even harder then said slowly, clearly distracted by typing on her laptop, “let me just log into the streaming service-”

yunjin hummed to herself as she made her way through the different movie titles that were on her watchlist until she found the one she needed. you both went to press play and just then someone else entered her room and loudly whined, “unnie!!!! i need help with my math homework.” yunjin motioned to her laptop that was very clearly on with you on the other side of the video call as a polite, “now’s not a good time” reminder. eunchae pouted and explained, “i know you’re on a date right now but i don’t know how to do this and it’s due tomorrow. also everyone else told me to ask you since you got into university.” yunjin felt her breath hitch when the maknae said ‘date’ but she tried to brush it off, hoping that if she pretended she didn’t hear it then maybe you didn’t either you totally did.
eunchae held up the worksheet that she was assigned which had three unanswered math problems on it. yunjin pushed her glasses further up her nose and skimmed them over, not recognizing what any of the instructions were asking. she sighed and said, “i haven’t taken a math class in like 5 years.” eunchae stared back at the paper and tried to make the instructions sound easy, “i only need help on the last one. all you have to do is find an equation of the line tangent to the graph of f at x equals 1.” yunjin looked over the last math problem then said simply, “um…the limit does not exist.” you failed to hold in your laugh at the movie quote while eunchae was far less amused, “unnie, you can’t just quote that lindsay lohan movie at me and expect me to accept that.” yunjin was genuinely stuck because she didn’t remember a damn thing from her calculus class she took in junior year of high school. the american brought her hands to her head and raked her hands through her long black hair, “well i- i don’t know.” eunchae pleaded desperately, “unnie please, anything you remember.”
you watched the entire conversation unfold before you and honestly you could feel for both parties. when you were in high school, your family was no help when it came to the assignments that troubled you. even now minji came to you for homework help and sometimes you didn’t know the answers when she really needed them. finally you decided to just see if they’d let you help, “hey i know this might be out of place but i might be able to help.” both girls responded in unison almost immediately, “yes please.” there was a smile on your face as you instructed, “yeah sure just send me a picture of the problem. when you looked over the function you felt a slight burst of excitement at the realization that you knew exactly how to solve the solution.
you grabbed the journal and pen off of your nightstand and spoke as you began working through the problem, “looking at the function, you’ll note that f(1) equals (7/4)e which means the tangent line passed through the point x equals 1 and y equals (7/4)e. also you’ll see that f isn’t raised to a variable power which means the ordinary rules of differentiation do apply. and because this problems is so algebraically complicated, you’re gonna want to apply the natural logarithm first so that differentiation will be easier. now apply the natural logarithm to both sides of the equation and use the algebraic properties of logarithms then tell me what you get.”
on the other end of the call, eunchae was frantically writing away while yunjin peered over her shoulder trying to understand what you were talking about. the younger girl read off her answers and you approved, “right. so now differentiate both sides of this equation, and note that both sides need the chain rule.” once again you waited for eunchae to read her answer and when she did you praised, “perfect so now i want you to differentiate it and read me the answer again.” this time when she read the answer you paused, “mmm look at the last part of the equation one more time. watch the signs.” a smile spread across your face when you heard the younger girl correct herself, “oh it’s plus 2 over 3-x.”
you hummed in agreement and said, “okay now multiply both sides of this equation by f(x). eunchae murmured aloud as she wrote more down and you prompted once more, “now the slope of the line tangent to the graph of f at x equals 1 is?” eunchae read her answer off, and asked, “(7/4)e (53/7- ln5) .so does that mean the equation of the line tangent to that is y-(7/4)e= (7/4)e (53/7- ln5)(x-1) ?” you beamed, “yeah that it! good job, that was a really complicated one honestly.” the younger girl tried to give you credit which you quickly told her, “i might have helped but you did all the hard work on your own.” yunjin stared at the smile eunchae had on her face, one that she hadn’t seen all night because of this exact homework assignment.
the younger member hugged yunjin for the night and exclaimed, “unnie, your date is so cool!” yunjin blushed at the comment and you felt a small raise in your heart rate at this being the second time you’d been referenced as the girl’s date. before yunjin could try to play it off, eunchae leaned over her member and waved to the camera, “thank you unnie! Byeeee!” you laughed and said, “bye bye.” eunchae skipped out of yunjin’s room with her journal tucked under her arm before closing the door behind herself.
yunjin apologized, “i’m sorry about that i didn’t think she was gonna come in my room.” you laughed and waved it off, “it’s no big deal really, my little sister does the same thing to me.” yunjin asked curiously, “you have a little sister?” you hummed in confirmation, “yeah she’s 19 right now.” yunjin gasped in genuine surprise, “no way- me too! that’s so crazy.” you agreed and then she asked, “wait- how are you so good at math?” honestly you didn’t know how to answer her so you just shrugged, “i don’t know i’ve always been better at science and math instead of history and languages i guess? like with math and science everything has an explained answer for the most part, and finding the answer is pretty standard. so nothing is really up to individual interpretation, it just is what it is and it’s pretty much the same for everyone.” yunjin leaned on her fist and teased you, “how poetic.” you sucked your teeth and rolled your eyes, “oh hush.”
although you knew time was slowly slipping, you wanted to bring it up while it was still relevant, “she said you got into university?” the american leaned back against her headboard and explained to you, “i didn’t think you’d catch that…but yeah i was supposed to start university in the fall after graduation. then i got a call from my company saying they wanted me to be a trainee for a girl group, and i had to come to korea immediately.” she waited for the typical reply of disapproval she got when she explained the past situation to people. it always led to her explaining far more than she wanted to about herself. however, she was surprised when you asked genuinely, “did you know what you were going to study?” yunjin laughed a bit to herself as she answered, “business.” before you could answer yunjin asked you, mostly as a way to learn more about you, “did you take the college entrance exam?” she was partially expecting you to say you didn’t bother because that’s how most idols ended up.
she was pleasantly surprised when you admitted, “i finished my second year in university before i had to drop out.” she let out a gasp and whispered, “no way- jasmine-” you laughed and rubbed the back of your neck, “yeah…i was exactly half finished. i managed to balance school and being an idol pretty well but then work picked up faster than i thought it would so school went on the back burner."
yunjin was even more intrigued so she asked, “what did you study?” you answered simply, “gerontology and neuroscience.” there was a beat of silence before yunjin whispered, “what is germontology?” her cheeks grew pink when you laughed a bit before telling her, “gerontology. and it’s basically studying old people problems and neuroscience is brain science. i planned to study parkinson’s or alzheimer's disease.” you paused and realized the weight of the topic so you jokingly added on, “and now i get paid to wear high school uniforms and bark for fans.” yunjin snorted and tilted her head back as she laughed at your unexpected comment.

yunjin and you managed to get through the first movie without problems and most of the second one. however, right as there were thirty minutes left you started to fall asleep and yunjin could tell clear as day. you fought to keep your eyes open as you watched the scene play out on your laptop but yawning every few seconds made things all the more difficult. the american asked you quietly, “jas, are you falling asleep on me?” you refused and sleepily insisted, “no, ’m awake.” only for you to begin dozing off a minute later, soft soft snores falling past your lips as your breaths grew deeper and slowed down. she made a mental note of the timestamp so she could rewatch the part with you another time. yunjin knew that you had been working hard on top of it being well after 1 AM so she didn’t mind at all. the fist that you weren’t leaning on was wrapped around your other wrist with your grip slowly loosening as you slept. suddenly, your hand fell onto your keyboard and you accidentally turned your camera on. yunjin’s breath caught in her chest as she stared at her screen, paying no mind to the ending scene of the movie. she panicked and frantically ended the call with her hand over her mouth, holding back a shout since all of her members were also asleep. she sat and stared straight ahead before letting out a breath,
“oh my god-”

A/N: Shout out to Beta Reader Ribbon for being the only beta reader this week. We gave Huntress a break because they do not like Bakugou and yet I force her to read these fics LMFAO. I've come back after a big test and I want to die. This chapter is a bit of a slower one as it's more housekeeping if anything.
When Bakugou said he was going to leave early in the morning, you didn’t think he’d leave at 3 a.m.
Your eyes opened once your body could no longer feel the warmth in the bed. Your eyes landed on Bakugou’s back, seeing old scars from being stabbed through his chest and the scars you gave him the night before.
His perfectly muscular back was soon covered by his shirt, forging the pout on your face and a sad whine.
He looked over his shoulder upon hearing your whine and chuckled. He turned and leaned down to you and kissed your cheek. “Sorry princess, I need to make sure I am ready for work today. I’ll see you then, okay?”
Though you whined, you nodded your head. Bakugou gave you another kiss, though it was longer and sweeter as if he didn’t want to leave either.
He pulled away though, leaving you to watch him leave your room and hear him close the front door behind him.
You grabbed the pillow he had laid on and cuddled it closely to you, breathing in his scent. Your brain felt fuzzy from just being woken up and also the feeling of being addicted to your soulmate already.
You reached out of your bed and grabbed your phone from a pile of clothing so you could put it on charge, but you quickly noticed you had two message notification files. One from your mother asking how you were, and one from him.
Minato Kusumoto (2) Missed Calls Missing my calls? You busy or something? Is it true you are working at Best Jeanist’s Agency? That Saitou chick from the social media department found out this morning Call me once you are free, k?
You mentally cringed. Maybe it was because you were still in the after-glow after fucking your soulmate, but Minato just felt creepy to you now. You dumped him and yet he was still trying and reaching for your attention.
At least he wasn’t calling you by that pet name.
You clicked on his profile and pressed the blocked button, sighing in relief.
Maybe you’ll regret this later when you come back down to your normal self, but in this moment it felt right. It felt so perfectly right.
You opened up your texts with your mother, smiling with glee as you typed.
You Sorry for the late reply. I met my soulmate.
You put your phone down as you plug it into its charger before lying on your back.
You couldn’t stop smiling.
“You can’t just drop that on someone at 3 a.m., Y/N!” Your mother shouted at your mother over the phone.
You had been woken up by your mother calling you. It did force you to get up, have a shower and get ready for work, but it wasn’t a nice way to wake up.
You locked your front door, your bag hanging off your elbow as you held the phone to your ear.
You sighed. “I just thought you’d like to know, mama. Next time I won’t tell you when I meet up with my soulmate.”
You snickered to yourself when you heard a weird construction of noises coming from your mother’s end of the call.
“I have to get going now, mama.” You informed her as you bounced down the stairs. “I have to get to work now.”
“Can you just tell me who it is?” Your mother begged. “At least tell me what he looks like.”
“I met him at work and he is tall.”
“That doesn’t give me anything, Y/N!”
You laughed. “Bye mama!”
You hung up on your mother before making your way to work.
You were going to be yelled at later for that but who cares.
Thankfully, Bakugou was busy most of the day. Off doing his job while you did his. You found a way to schedule Bakugou for only one interview for a month. Sooner or later though you knew the journalists were going to figure out what the plan was and try their best to get Bakugou ticked.
They seemed to love that.
The main thing that kept piling up though was the incident reports coming in. Bakugou hadn’t made an appearance in the office yet and it was 2pm, and yep you were getting new paperwork to file every 10 to 15 minutes because of how much he was doing. From what you heard from some of the other secretaries, it was something he learned during his first year at UA in a Work Study Problem and he wasn’t eager to let it go.
It did mean that the large amount of paperwork coming in was mostly Bakugou’s cases, and because he hadn’t come into the office, you were the one ending up doing all the paperwork. You had to have the news radio playing on all the time just so you knew where his whereabouts were and take some guesses about what incident happened where, when, with whom and what happened.
You had a feeling in your gut that he was coming in soon. No new paperwork had come in for 20 minutes and he hadn’t been mentioned on the radio for 25 minutes. You could tell though he was taking your suggestions from the day before into consideration, actively avoiding the media from what you could tell.
You heard some noise from outside of your office, hearing some heavy footsteps walking closer and closer to your office. You then started to hear an almost whiney voice following the harsh footsteps.
It wasn’t long until you saw Bakugou’s figure walk past the door with two figures walking behind him. They were talking in a line like ducklings.
You could hear them walk into Bakugou’s office and you could hear them talk about something, but their words were mumbled because of the soundproofing on Bakugou’s office walls.
Considering how one of the figures looked to be made out of red, you were going to go out on a wild limb and assume it was Red Riot. The media made it out like they were close friends, even doing cross merch collabs even if they were in different agencies.
Suddenly the door connecting your offices opened and you saw Bakugou’s face poked through.
“Where are the reports?” He asked, his mask was around his neck this time and his skin shined with sweat.
“The three on your desk are the only ones I couldn’t do because of limited information. The rest are already finished.” You answered him.
Bakugou’s brow went into a line. “Really?”
You noticed two heads behind him looking at you. You seemed to be right on the money about one of the figures being Red Riot, but the second seemed to be Charge Bolt.
Bakugou made a sound with his mouth before turning back into his office and closing the door behind him.
“Is that your new secretary ?” Kirishima asked Bakugou, watching Bakugou walk over and sit at his desk.
“She’s rather cute,” Kaminari said with a flirtatious smile on his face. “Is she single-“
“Shut up Dunce Face.” Bakugou glared at Kaminari before looking at your handwriting on the half-filled-out paperwork.
Your handwriting was really neat…
Kirishima and Kaminari exchanged a look before Kirishima started speaking. “So now that you have met your soulmate, when do we get to meet them?”
“Hopefully never if I have anything to say about it.” Bakugou grunted, his eyes not leaving the paperwork.
Kaminari leaned over the table. “You want them all to yourself after everything? Wouldn’t blame ya. If she caught a glimpse of-”
“Kam don’t.” Kirishima warned.
Bakugou glared up at Kaminari, his upper lip snarling up.
It had been like this all day for the two friends. Bakugou seemed to be on edge after meeting his soulmate. The two worried that maybe their first meeting didn’t go well, but Bakugou pushed that concern aside and your two proper interactions as soulmates was more than what he expected.
Kirishima’s eyes scanned Bakugou’s tense body, how he seemed to be on high alert and trying to listen to what was happening outside of the room they were standing in. Said room being soundproofed made it difficult. He couldn’t help but wonder if maybe Bakugou was missing the company of his soulmate already?
“Can I ask what your soul bond is, Bakugou?” Kirishima asked.
Bakugou gave Kirishima a nasty look, a look that made Kaminari back up. Kirishima stood his ground, not giving Bakugou the satisfaction of ‘winning’.
Bakugou sighed in an annoyed tone before leaning back in his chair, looking off to the side in embarrassment. “I don’t talk about it for a reason.”
“It’s one of those feeling the same things one, right?” Kaminari asked as he sat down on the couch in Bakugou’s office.
Bakugou scoffs. Of all the people to remember that drunken confession from almost 2 years ago.
It happened after your first time, Bakugou felt so betrayed by you going against your two’s soul bond and sleeping with someone else that he couldn’t function like he used to for a short time. He had erectile dysfunction for a few months, was physically ill for two days, and had become more angry. That’s not even adding that he’d be sick after you had sex for the following months.
His friends noticed, his parents noticed, the public noticed, his therapist noticed. His friends thought maybe taking him out to drink would cheer him up, and after a few hours he finally opened up and said ‘I can feel her through the soul bond, and it’s the worst’.
That's all it took for his friends to understand why he was upset. He felt something because of the soul bond, and whatever he felt was impacting his day-to-day life. Suddenly his friends were coming over a lot more either to play games, to have a meal, or to go hiking with him. It took his mind off of it for long enough until his therapist said something that helped more than anything else.
“The downside of having soulmates is that we know our person is out there and is the perfect person for us. People have often romanticised love, being loved and being in love that when someone hasn’t met their soulmate as young compared to the people around them, they become very lonely people. Maybe even isolated. Your soulmate probably just wanted to be loved, so please don’t take it as a betrayal.”
His therapist’s words rang through his head once again, his eyes sliding over to the shared door between your two offices.
You’ve just broken up with your boyfriend for cheating on you but you didn’t want him or anyone else to know it was about the cheating. You moved across the country to a whole different Prefecture for a new job to use that as your reason to break things off. Was nothing else holding you back to keep you there? Why didn’t you want anyone else to know?
Were you so isolated and lonely that no friends or family were able to keep you there by simply being in your life, to the point moving to a different Prefecture felt easier than confessing or confronting the truth?
Did you even have anyone to help you move into your new place? He saw all the boxes around your apartment.
Bakugou was in deep thought, his finger tapping on his desk while another hand was holding his chin. Kirishima waved a hand in front of Bakugou’s face, only to get no reaction.
“And we lost him.” Kaminari chuckled to himself, standing back up. “We should get going. Let him open up when he’s ready.”
Kirishima followed Kaminari out of the room, an eyebrow raised at Kam as they walked out. “When did you become wise?”
“Always have.” Kaminari said with a smirk.
“Fuck off with that shit.” Kirishima laughed.
You waited until you could no longer hear the heroes' voices through the halls before taking a look at the shared door between yours and Bakugou’s office. It felt awkward knowing your soulmate was on the other side of the door. What were you even supposed to say? ‘Thanks for the sex last night now let’s act as if we aren’t soulmates as we work’?
Great, now you are thinking about the sex with Bakugou last night and being reminded how sore your thighs were feeling. You feared for a reaction from Bakugou, remembering he could feel your sexual stirrings just as you could feel his. Within this moment though, things started to connect in your head now that you had the context that Bakugou was your soulmate.
The reason why he would always push his sexual stirring down during working hours was because of his job. Either so he doesn’t get onto the news for popping a boner while fighting some lizard villain or because he just was too busy to really focus on his sexual stirring. You started to feel really guilty for all the times you and Minato Kusumoto had sex while at work.
You mentally cringed. Why did you have to remind yourself of that?
Almost on cue, the shared door opened, bringing attention to Bakugou’s face.
“Did those idiots say where they were going?” He asked in a grumpy annoyed tone.
“No.”
He scoffed, turning his face away from you. Which, funny enough, only brings your attention to his red-tipped ears. You tried to hold back the smile threatening the form on your cheeks.
Bakugou turned back around to look into your eyes, catching you staring at him.
“You have any plans to meet up with friends or something?” He asked, trying to get information out of you.
You mentally cringed. A few people did come to mind who used to be your friends but dumped you after you started dating someone who wasn’t your soulmate. You doubted they would want to see you, even after you left Minato Kusumoto. You also doubted they would believe that you happened to meet your soulmate after moving too.
“...Not really. I haven’t made any friends yet.” You confessed to Bakugou, not knowing you confirmed his concerns.
You noticed tapping his finger on the other side of the door frame as his mind was in deep thought. “I’ll walk your home and help you unpack this week.” Bakugou said nonchalantly.
Your chest felt tight and you stood up from your desk. “You don’t have to do that for me.”
Bakugou rolled his eyes. “Yeah, I don’t have to. I’m doing it because I want to.”
“You-? You want to help me?” You asked.
Bakugou gave you a look that read ‘Are you kidding’? Your lips went into a straight line.
You guess you really shouldn’t be surprised that your soulmate wants to spend time with you and help you get adjusted.
But as his secretary, you can’t have him be seen coming over to your place. It would be a scandal if people noticed him walking the same girl home every night for a week, especially because you were his secretary.
“You can’t do that.” You sighed out as you sat down.
Bakugou tried to hold back his snarl. “What do you mean I can’t do that?!”
“You can’t be seen walking and staying at your secretary’s home every night for a week, Bakugou-“
“I thought we were on a first-name basis.” Bakugou’s voice was low and almost threatening.
“Not while we are at work.” You bite back.
“Why not?!” He asked with an accusatory tone.
“Because if Dynamight is seen walking his new secretary home and staying at her home for longer than a minute, it will cause scandal.” You explained to him, trying not to yell at him.
Bakugou became quiet, his eyes just glued to your face - mostly your lips - as he thought over whether he wanted to be mad or not.
You were probably right. He couldn’t be seen out with you as much as probably wanted to. All he’s ever wanted was to show off his soulmate to the world. He thought once he met you, he would rarely be seen without you when he wasn’t working. It was a huge disappointment that you two met because you were now working for him.
Didn’t mean he liked it though.
“…I still want to help you.” He grumbled out in frustration.
You sighed, resting your open hand over your mouth as you tried to find a compromise for him. “How about you come on the weekend?”
“I come on Friday and sleepover for the weekend.” Bakugou replied with a soft grin.
“The weekend.” You sat up straight, trying to ignore the warm growth in your core.
“I know you like the idea.”
“But it might cause you problems.” You said as you stood up, grateful you wore your suit pants today. “I should’ve taken the job to work for Red Riot so we wouldn’t have this problem.”
Bakugou’s eye twitched. “You think you would’ve preferred it?” He asked with an angered tone.
“I don’t know,” You let out in frustration with your hands being thrown up. “But we wouldn’t be having this problem.”
Bakugou grumbled, his finger tapping the door frame again. “Fine, but you have to give me your personal number.”
“Fine.” You sassed back before you even realised what you were agreeing to. Only once you pulled out your phone did you mentally curse yourself. “This doesn’t mean for work purposes I’ll use this phone. I’ll still use my work phone.”
“Fine.” Bakugou replied in a less angry tone than before.
You felt awkward as you held out your personal phone to Bakugou. He walked over, putting his personal number into your contacts. You felt your knee bounce up and down under the table and tried not to peel at your nails.
You wondered if all soulmates were awkward in their first few social interactions or if it was just you two considering your job and sexual past.
Bakugou pulled a plain-looking phone with an orange case out of one of his pockets before handing it to you. You start pulling in your number, noticing him getting a lot of notifications from a group chat. It seemed as if Bakugou was the type of person to name all of his contexts with nicknames, but you still put in your full name.
Once you exchanged phones again, Bakugou looked at your new contact with a soft face for only two seconds before diving his phone back into his pocket. “You sure you don’t want me to walk you home?” He asked.
“Yes, I am sure Bakugou. How about you go have some lunch?”
“Will you join me?”
You raised an eyebrow at Bakugou. He replied back with a click sound made from his mouth and turned his head away. The screen of your personal phone lit up, bringing your attention away from Bakugou to your phone. A cold icy feeling went through your blood.
Email From: Minato Kusumoto Subject: Why Did You Block Me? Preview: Hey Kitty, You didn’t respond to my text yesterday and…
You quickly put your phone face down on your desk, making Bakugou look at your face with a quirked brow.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, noticing how stiff you had become and finding your reaction suspicious.
You mentally weigh your options of whether you should tell Bakugou or not. ‘Yeah just my ex trying to get in contact with me, no biggie.’ Did not seem like a good idea to say.
You took some deep breaths before speaking. “Just an email but how much the move here is going to cost me.”
It wasn’t a total lie. It seemed as if there was going to be a great personal cost if Minato Kusumoto was going to be emailing you during work hours.
Shit- If he had sent it any earlier that Bakugou would’ve seen it-
“I can pay for it.” Bakugou offered.
You did a double-take. “What?”
“If it’s too much, I can pay for it.”
“That isn’t necessary.” You replied, trying to think of some way to get him off the case. “Just means I won’t be able to have much takeout.”
Bakugou made a disgusted face. He wasn’t a fan of eating out.
“If you change your mind, I’ll be happy to pay for it.”
“It’s fine, Bakugou. Promise.” You gently smiled at him.
Bakugou’s heart skipped a beat from your smile and his ears went red. You on the other hand were trying to calm down your nerves and trying to remember if you could block people from emailing you. Were you going to have to block your ex on everything?
Bakugou kept staring at you for a little while longer, only breaking away when he heard his work phone go off. He reluctantly walked back into his office, closing the shared door behind him.
