This gorgeous handsome beautiful boy is Shadow AKA Shad McGrads. Shadow is our only non-rescue cat, his gorgeous and handsome and beautiful and I love him. His like so lick fingers and dribbles a lot to show he’s happy. Fun fact about Shadow, he was almost named Lanzo but I wasn’t home when he first arrived, my little brother and sibling got to him first, forgot about the name we’d settled on and instead started calling him one of the other names we’d shortlisted and it stuck

Next up we have Coco, she was a kitten in the first litter we ever fostered. The lovely Coco also has some naming trouble, she will not respond to Coco, but its not her fault, she's so beautiful we couldn't help ourselves, first she was nicknamed Coco-Bella, but quickly the Coco part got dropped, so now she's just Bella. Bella hates being confined for any amount of time, she was once accidentally shut in my room overnight, she got so worked up she vomited. She has a sixth sense for upcoming vet visits, and is very skilled at hiding with just the slightest hint she might be about to be put in a cat carrier

This beauty is Betsie, I don't have any fun stories or personality quirks for Betsie, she's a very normal cat

You may think more cats than this is excessive and I would agree, but from here on out every cat listed was either adopted by us because medical issues would have made it very difficult to find another family or made it clear who they wanted to live with and moved themselves in, all we did was make it official. With that said

This is Sid, or short for Six-Toed-Sidney, AKA Alouicious. His name is Six-Toed-Sid since he's polydactyl (ie has extra toes) on all four of is paws! When it isn't lost under a sofa, he loves to carry around his favourite yellow ball in his mouth. You think you've seen a cat bent into impossible positions, you should see Sid, the inbreeding that caused his polydactyly also gave him other skills. When we first adopted Sid, Bella decided she was his mum and looked after him until he was all grown up.

This beautiful little girl is Cece, PSA: Cat flu is very very dangerous for kittens. Cecelia only has one eye and is only partially sighted in it, she's half the size of a normal adult cat, has no back hip joints, and an inability to retract her claws, but boy is she a happy little force of nature. She's one of the most playful cats I've ever known, catch her in a playful mood and she'll start play fighting your fingers, charge off and come charging back just to start eating them again.

Time for another black cat! This is Bagel, short for Bagel Bucky Houdini Greedy Bumface Seagull [Redacted (my surname)]. Poor Bagel had an unlucky time finding a home, I think when he was with us for the second time it was his 4th home and he was only a few months old. When he came back to us he made it clear he wasn't going to be sent somewhere else again, escaping his room any chance he got and immediately becoming best friends with Cece. Quite frankly, once he and Cece got attached we couldn't bear to find him 5th home in as many months. Every name in that long list was acquired over the coming months, Bucky was what we named him before the first time we fostered him, the people who adopted him but ultimately couldn't keep him (I think due to allergy) named him Bagel which is what stuck when he came back, Houdini because he's an escape artist, greedy speaks for itself, Bumface because he shows love by shoving his bum in your face, and Seagull is a mix of his and Cece's names

Up next is Jojo (short for Jeanu, not an anime thing). Ever wondered if a cat can be sexist, well wonder no more, JJ hates women with a firey passion, loves cuddles and love from men, will bite and attack any woman who attempts to touch him. Don't hold it against him though, he only hates women because all his vets from when he was in and out of the surgery for several months (forgot to produce red blood cells, the stupid bastard) all his vets were women.

And last but by no means least, Benji, my nemesis, horrible bastard animal who's one goal in life is to annoy me. I love him dearly, but my god, Benji is a bengal which means he has a natural affinity for being LOUD, which is a problem when you share a bedroom and he wants to be fed first thing in the morning. You know what else doesn't help, Benji has, shall we say, a weak stomach but a big appetite. Still, he's got some good qualities too, he and our dog are best friends, Merlin loves chewing on his head, and Benji seems to enjoy having his head chewed on. He's very insistent he doesn't want to get off the bed no matter how much I wriggle during the night, and is an all around lovable little guy.
