hi, here's some advice to AO3-ers 💅

you wanna filter out specific ships? authors? your own embarrassing fics (does not count anon fics sadly)? or even specific tags? track fic length individually and more?

well I have:

AO3 Enhancements for you!!!

so, this extension is available for just about every browser, i use it for edge but it IS available for chrome and likely firefox too. just go to the extension store based on ur browser and type in AO3 Enhancements.

anyways more directions below IF it interests you to have a helpful AO3 extension:

this is edge, though i already have it, so instead of remove it'll likely say add or add extension or download:

and this is chrome:

now, for whatever your browser is, you just hit the add button. i will use chrome for this. so, hit 'add to chrome'.

this box below should show up, just hit add extension anyway.

and then once you've hit add extension, it may take 3-5 seconds (as it did me), and then boom! it's done. now, you'll notice a few differences instantly on a fic. here's an example:

there's a 'Finish reading' box and a 'Kudos/Hits' box. So if you want the ratio, for whatever reason, there you have it! Now, the Finish reading is complex.

When you go to your extensions, and find AO3 Enhancements, hit the box that says 'Options' when you open the options with the three dots.

this is what you should get:

now, 'Finish reading' depends on how far along you move the scale for the 'My reading speed is ___ words/min' section. The default is 200. I put mine on 400, which is the max. The lowest is 100. You can go 1 by 1, so if you want 206 or 143, you can have that.

The 'Blurb statistics' are all default on, but you can change it. Here's the options:

Now, all of these are pretty simple, so you can imagine what they all mean and do. The word count for each chapter is helpful for if you want to know if a chapter is really long, or short. 'Finish reading' for each chapter helps too.

Now, the 'Hide works' section. The 'many fandoms' part is just for if it's a crossover fic and you don't want those, I know I don't, so I should... probably turn that on.

If you turn it on, here's what it looks like:

Each tick is 1 fandom. The default is 4. You can go up to 10 fandoms. For the language part, it opens a box saying 'Show only these languages:' when it's on. You can then type in the language you want to only show or select from the dropdown menu of a bunch of languages in alphabetical order.

For the 'author' part, which is... very helpful for me, you click it and this appears, as it does with 'tags':

You simply type in their name and it hides the work. If you write, but don't like to see it in the search results/filters of your tags or fandoms, this is helpful.

For tags, you type in the tag, relationship or additional, doesn't matter, and it hides the work for it. The 'unless' part is obvious. I don't use that, but if you're very 'wellll i mean' about fic, then it's probably worth it.

Next, Style Tweaks.

I don't use these, but it's likely helpful if any of them apply to your standard reading preferences.

Track Works is what you need to be logged in for, and you can easily do that by clicking the door icon near the 'Not logged in' and typing in your username. At least, that's what I did. No password needed.

I'll type out the warning in yellow:

'Track works is still a WIP (work in progress). This means that some parts might not always function properly.

Tracking of visited and marked for later works is not implemented yet. Also note that if you use AO3 Enhancements on multiple devices, like your pc and your phone, and they are both logged into the same AO3 account, kudos might not show up on one device if you give them on the other device. The fix for now is to simply open the work on the other device that is missing the kudos - it should then update and realise that you have indeed given kudos. The same applies to subscriptions and bookmarks.'

Here's the options:

Just click what you want and then you're good. The Advanced is pretty much useless, but if you want to see how much data you use, then there you go. It's very small even after months of use for me, sitting at 149.26KB in 8-ish months.

So if you want to use any of these options but AO3 doesn't offer it, just get AO3 Enhancements. It's hella useful + free.

Also, small mention: AO3 Saver is good too. It tracks what works you visit, so if AO3 goes down or you want to find that ONE really good fic you read and remember the title but can't find it or want to see what you read, just go into the extension and it'll be a column, like this:

Fic name / [Date read]

and so on. When you hover over one, you get the option to download it. It opens as a PDF in a new tab and from there do whatever you want with the PDF! It also saves drafts as well, but you can't download drafts. It just says work not found.

If it says anything about older archives, just hit 'Most Recent Archive' as the blue link and it'll open up.

Part 3

CorpseHusband x FemReader - Y/N

Desc: Brooke leaves, already making your day a little worse, but it gets better after streaming and playing some games with Corpse. Of course, with your luck, your day seems to be bad again when you read a bad comment and when you realize it’s came from someone who was your best friend.

The streaming starts later that night. You’re honestly feeling so much better now that you’re with Corpse, streaming and playing Animal Crossing. You give him a tour of your island, insisting you hold his hand while doing so.

“I decorated a house for you,” Corpse gasps; the cutest thing you’ve heard besides his laughs, giggles, and chuckles. “I assumed you like black a lot so, I made it mainly black, grey, and white, but I made this little area where we can read books together. And it’s colorful.”

“Gosh, you’re so fucking cute.” He mumbles. You catch on, and unsurprisingly, so does the chat. “Thank you, Y/N, I like it a lot.”

You give him a tour of the rest of your island. Every now and then, you look at the chat as the two of you are walking around and doing whatever you can on your island. The chat is filled with people shipping you two, telling you how cute you two are and how cute you two would be together. Thank God for being faceless - they can’t see how much your blushing, especially with Corpse’s compliments and nicknames.

For another two hours, you two build more of your cottagecore village. You only built a little bit of it because you and Corpse were too busy helping animals get food and a house. The pigs are your favorite, especially the baby ones.

After ending the stream, you decide to head to Twitter and talk to some supporters. It’s something you like to do every now and then. It’s been harder because of how fast you’ve been growing, but you’ll never stop doing your best to talk to them.

You try to only get to the good ones, but of course, as an influencer, you’re going to get hateful DM’s. They’ve never bothered you, but one in particular really did hurt you.

You’d never be enough for Corpse. I don’t even know how you two became friends. It’s pretty obvious he’s using you for a publicity stunt, that way fans can think he’s dating someone. Let it get through your thick skull.

It came from someone who doesn’t even have their account fully made. Their username is still the default one Twitter gives you, but this DM still got to you. You sit in your bed, reading it over and over again, letting it get through your thick skull.

You don’t even know what to think of it. You’re starting to feel like it’s true. Though, this person is so irrelevant. They’re not someone you know, they’re not even someone that supports you, Corpse, or any of your friends. What business would they have in any of your guys’ lives?

Maybe Corpse is using you as a publicity stunt. The both of you have been getting a lot of attention recently because people have been assuming you two are dating. Corpse has been getting a lot more views on his videos with you in them and you’ve been getting a lot more views on your videos with him in them. Maybe people do believe you two are using each other for clout, but that’d never be the case.

Now, it’s starting to hit you. Why did it hurt so much when one person - that you know of - assumes Corpse is using you for publicity and clout? People have said that about you and Rae, Brooke, Sykkuno, and Ludwig, but it never bothered you so much.

You think it over and over, and you can only go back to one thing. You’re starting to catch feelings for Corpse and the last thing you’d want to know or find out is that he’s using you for clout.

It never occurred to you, that even though you have a smaller platform than the rest of your friends, being in Corpse’s videos/streams, and him being in yours, has really given you two a lot of attention and this could be the reason he’s still talking to you. You’re sure Corpse is not that type of person, he’s the sweetest person you’ve ever met, but with past experiences, you can’t rule that possibility out completely.

“Stupid fucking DM!” You shout, just wanting to get it out of your system.

“Are you okay, Y/N?” Rae calls out.

“I’m fine!” You let her know before you literally jump in bed. You get a message from Austin, and as much as you don’t want to answer it, you do.

You make a mental note to change his name in your phone. You know it’s petty, but you just don’t feel like you have the same friendship with Austin as you did the day he came to visit you.

“Hey,” He greets after you answer the phone. His voice is hesitant and he’s being cautious, afraid he may say the wrong thing even after just answering the phone.

“Hi,” You greet back.

“Look, Y/N, I just wanted to say I’m sorry. Really, really sorry. I didn’t... I just don’t want to lose you. You and Corpse-”

“Please,” You sigh. “Don’t bring Corpse into this. He doesn’t need to be bought up in this. Whatever is going on between the two of us has nothing to do with him.” You realize how harsh your voice is and how protective you got over Corpse.

“It does because he made me get angry.” Austin defends himself.

“He didn’t do anything, A. You’re mad because you think we’re together or that we have feelings for each other. You made up some shit in your head, assuming whatever the fuck you assumed, and that’s what got you mad, not Corpse.” You can’t help being protective over Corpse.

Austin sighs, “Y/N, it’s pretty fucking obvious you have feelings for him and not for me.”

“Austin,” Right now, at this moment, you just want to rip your hair out. “You can’t tell me who I have feelings for and who I don’t have feelings for.”

“When will you get it through your thick skull that’s he’s using you, Y/N?” This hurts. Bad. Your mind goes straight back to the DM from Twitter and you immediately hang up on him.

You’ve lost your best friend, you can’t stop making up bad scenarios in your head about Corpse and how your guys’ friendship could end whenever you two start losing the attention, and you can’t help the tears that are spilling out of your eyes.

✧｡ now, he’s not the best at playing the game, but his lying skills are literally off the charts, the amount of times he’s fooled people of being crewmate is impressive and somewhat concerning

✧｡ however, his dumbass has a tendency to vent in front of people, which blows his cover and ruins everything

✧｡ his favorite task when being crewmate is definitely the clearing asteroids task up in weapons, he likes all the pew pew stuff

✧｡ tetsu will not contribute to meetings unless he has solid proof of who the impostor is— he likes calling people sus for the sake of their reactions though coughs lev coughs again

✧｡ LOVES LOVES LOVES to sabotage

✧｡ he’ll take every chance to sabotage oxygen, he finds it entertaining when the crewmates ignore the alarm long enough for him to score an easy win

✧｡ doesn’t really play it often, only if his friends invite him to play so that they can discuss stuff in meetings by call, he hates texting everything out

tooru oikawa.

✧｡ tooru’s main choices in color consist of cyan, white, and light green

✧｡ would either go by milk bread or pretty boy

✧｡ he gets overly excited when he becomes impostor, he’s surprisingly very sinister and cunning when hunting and killing the other crewmates

✧｡ he sucks at being crewmate though, he will stand at admin and swipe the card god knows how many times before he gets it just right

✧｡ his favorite task is probs the stabilizing steering task, since it’s super easy to do

✧｡ won’t really play often since he’s not a video game junkie, but if his teammates agree to playing a few rounds with him, he eats that right up

✧｡ prefers to call than speak in the chat, or to just all play together by phone in the same room, everyone simply spaced out

✧｡ a beast at venting, he pulls the trick where he closes the doors to lock someone in, only to vent kill and leave in a blink

✧｡ he’s so dramatic during meetings that the people playing with him don’t know if he’s lying or not, which works to his advantage

keiji akaashi.

✧｡ won’t play unless he knows someone, since he doesn’t leisurely play this game

✧｡ bokuto was the one who downloaded the app for him, begging him to try the game out; after a bunch of begging and a few emo modes, keiji reluctantly agreed

✧｡ he just goes by akaashi since he has nothing more interesting to put down as his username

✧｡ mains as dark blue, brown is his alternate choice

✧｡ surprisingly really good at tasks—first time he ever played, he was the first to finish all of his tasks, even without anyone telling him how to complete them

✧｡ if he had to choose a favorite, it’d probably be the wiring task

✧｡ doesn’t do much as impostor though, he’ll sabotage oxygen or reactor and then go to fix the sabotages himself so other people will assume he’s a crewmate

✧｡ another reason why he can’t do much as impostor is because bokuto follows him around 95% of the time, and kou makes it very obvious when keiji kills him

✧｡ unintentionally, he’s quite the detective—he’s quick at making connections and detecting lies, pointing to anyone who’s sus after listening in to alibis and conversation

✧｡ people have defaulted to trusting him first, which works in handy when he’s impostor

atsumu miya.

✧｡ refuses to admit that this game has taken over his life the moment it became popular, but he doesn’t do much to hide it, either

✧｡ mains as yellow, orange, or black

✧｡ usually he goes by atsumu since he’s not really interested in usernames—but if osamu’s playing, he’ll change his username to the better twin just to spite him

✧｡ ‘tsumu will play this game in his free time, and asks his team to play it every chance he gets; most of the time they all say no

✧｡ very good at impostor, he’s very strategical and knows how to kill without busting himself

✧｡ buuuuut unfortunately he never gets many chances to be impostor, since he’s usually unlucky and is always crewmate

✧｡ he stopped playing for a week in a rage because after playing among us for three hours, he was impostor only one time—and literally 5 people left once the game started

✧｡ his favorite task is the admin swipe card; if it’s anything being crewmate taught him, it’s the perfect speed to swipe the card, which he has down to a T

✧｡ he’s very handy at light sabotaging, he’s memorized the small diameter crewmates have when lights go out, and uses that to his advantage when killing people

✧｡ prefers to text than call, since he’s not the best liar over phone

✧｡ HATES playing with osamu, because he knows exactly when atsumu lies and will not hesitate to call him out

✧｡ atsumu also knows when ‘samu lies, but no one ever believes him JDWKKDKD

wakatoshi ushijima.

✧｡ tendou regrets showing him this game, complaining that wakatoshi never knows what to do when playing among us, leaving the middle blocker to guide him through everything himself

✧｡ mains with either pink or white since it shows school spirit

✧｡ originally he typed in a full Wakatoshi Ushijima as his username, until tendou went in and simply changed it to ushijima

✧｡ as many can expect, he has no idea what he’s doing

✧｡ he hasn’t played many video games in his lifetime, and playing this game with others further proves that

✧｡ literally asked why the vents were red the first time he was impostor, he thought it was a weird glitch

✧｡ until he accidentally vented right in front of goshiki, who called an emergency meeting and toshi asked why his little avatar was no longer on the screen

✧｡ his favorite task is, surprisingly, the unlocking manifolds task—he likes finding 1-10 in order at his own pace

✧｡ tendou basically has to guide him through everything, even as impostor—once in a while he gets fed up and just kills ushi as an easy point, then continues to help him with tasks until he fairly has it under control

✧｡ he’s a slow texter so most people prefer to be on call when he’s playing as well

✧｡ he plays for about 30 minutes at a time before calling it quits, leaving the game to go practice

This is the fan-created personal home of Arthur Kirkland I made, realistically, like anywhere between a year to two years ago. This is well before the Cottage pack that just recently came out (And I am upset because that could’ve added so much more but I can’t be bothered to alter it now after all this time). Remember: This is fan/headcanon created. I build for fun and am not a professional. I do not build with the intention of having it livable/non-clashing. If something clashes it will be up to you to fix it because I build for the pure aesthetic and not functionality. I own a lot of packs so if you don’t own all the ones used in this there might be issues. After the cut here I will provide a visual walk-through via screen captures. You’re more than welcome to download it and look at it for yourself. My username on Sims4 is Shinoshallbugyou.

First up, the outside overview. Keep in mind that Sims 4 limits the lot to a harsh degree. I actually really miss Sims 3 in how you could alter and change the environment otherwise I’d have Arthur’s home buried in a garden/trees. I have placed his home in the University area because it felt the best suited. There wasn’t any particular designs I was going for... I just kind of made it and went with it. His home, unlike Spain’s that I am working on, is much smaller in comparison. I particularly wanted to bury this home in foliage and green with ivy climbing up the wall and etc. Something to where you could have enchanted little areas to sit in, fairies, and etc. Something to where he can be more introverted and away from others.

3rd Floor- Attic/storage.

2nd Floor - Full bath, office, and his bedroom.

1st Floor - Entry room, 1/2 Bathroom, Living room, dining room, kitchen. Outside there is a small backyard area as well as a greenhouse.

I specifically always want to try to do a ‘triangle’ entry or a sloped half triangle entry. It ALWAYS clashes and hates being put in there but the aesthetic of it appeals to me and I’m always trying things even if they’re difficult. I know some of these objects may seem more German than British but... I don’t care lmao. I don’t do this to do a 100% British Speedrun. Just fun.

The greenhouse in particular was something I wanted and is difficult to implement. Those are not full walls and as such do not drop down like normal walls for those of you who download this. Also, previously, I had custom content on the windows and doors of this greenhouse that were removed with several updates and I can’t be bothered to re-download it so I chose something from a pack. That would do. I love the idea of a greenhouse and wanted to try it and I particularly liked making this house in specific ‘cramped’.

I really liked adding this ‘side door’ that goes into the living room with its little step-up.

I really tried, to the edge of it, building the lush garden and foliage covers.

A small, quiet area for tea and fairies. There are lots of gnomes and stuff hidden throughout this house! Just a fun little surprise. My fiancee tried to play this build of mine and since I have seasons fall is triggered but it just adds to the look, in my opinion.

The backdoor into the kitchen with another cute step-down.

My hands were killing me by the end after adding all this foliage but it’s worth it. We also joked in a larp once that when America visited he accidentally broke a gnome and hid it in the bushes. Arthur immediately noticed that Reginald was missing. Where did Reginald go? Reginald???

The front entry room or, I suppose, a ‘mud’ room. I never do these and I really liked it.

A lot of Arthur’s house will be cluttered and lived-in. I love those looks. Also, my apologies in advance, I didn’t realize there would be an outline where my mouse was hovering. I’m a builder, not a photographer.

I wanted a nook of a kitchen. The walls aren’t even that high but the Sims 4 is great about making things ridiculously tall. I think I joked about putting a step-stool in there for him lmao. The door leads down below into a 1/2 bathroom. I also in particular liked that oven because it was a ‘London’ oven.

Greys and browns were something I thought that Arthur would like. More Earthy tones. I wanted a ‘round table’ for obvious purposes. I had a custom content here too and had to improvise when they removed it. I like to think that Arthur also collects those cute dishes that some people do.

The living room as well as stairs going up. I wanted it old-fashioned a bit with an old record player and the TV isn’t the main focus but is there because he has reluctantly upgraded over the years. And while you can’t see it... I miss in Sims 2&3 I believe it was that they would put on ‘chimneys’ for the fireplaces. I love how realistic that is rather than it just... Being in the wall???? So I make 1x2 spaces behind the fireplaces by default now that they’re missing from the game. I miss those. The clipping from the half triangle roof is here along with foliage. Usually my brain just blocks out that stuff or I try to hide it. In this case... I blocked it out and ignored it.

Going upstairs, peering down into the living room.

I really, REALLY wanted this weird bay-window with a ledge here. A lot of stuff I want is a pain to do but I always want to. I temporarily removed a clipping roof object here (It is the ‘rounded roof’ here). I enjoy how it looks outside but not inside. For the pictures sake, I removed it. The window doesn’t allow it to disappear and for some reason it clips into the bathroom as well even though that makes no sense. Roofing is one of the hardest aspects in this game.

The full bathroom first. The top view gives the most details as to how it looks. Since it isn’t big I have to remove the walls to see further into it.

Arthur’s personal office. I wanted to involve a bit more of the spiritual or supernatural things he’s into since I wasn’t interested in making a basement for this project.

Arthur’s bedroom. I really enjoyed this one because of the quilted bed and things like that. I added the rocking chair and knitting sidekick there as an afterthought while looking at this room since, at the time, the knitting pack hadn’t come out when I made this. I thought the contrasting red and green would actually look good and not just Christmas-y. He has his own little walk-on balcony.

Here is the half triangle structure I was talking about as well as the circular roof down below. Roofing is incredibly difficult and I’m OCD and want it to look a particular way. I about had a fit on Spain’s home recently in regards to roofing.

The 3rd floor... The attic that has been transformed into a storage area. I actually really enjoy making storage areas in particular that help reveal some aspects about these characters I create for. In England’s case I like to imagine that America used to live up in here with him and he’s converted it from Alfred’s bedroom into storage. The babyshoes are supposed to be Alfred’s that he still keeps around. Just little bits and pieces over the years that he’s tossed in here and yet it’s still not really that chaotic... All things considered.

Anyways... That’s it! I hope you all like it! I’ve been working on Spain’s and, unlike England, I like to picture him having a HUGE home. Because of how big it is... It has taken much longer. I have the majority of it done though and am mostly left with his 2nd floor and outside foliage to complete before it’s done! I’ll probably upload the ship and island I’ve made for them on the next post.
