I looked around myself, wondering where on earth I was – or was this Earth at all?  What was it – a dream, my imagination playing tricks on me, some sort of virtual construct like the Matrix? No matter what it was, I was there, I felt perfectly normal apart from a little nausea. And what was more, the man standing next to me felt real  - very real. I looked down at myself – I was vey much me, just slimmer and younger and wearing my current favourite outfit – black skinny jeans with a striped top and fitted jacket.
We stood in a bright space, like a big waiting room with lots of doors leading off to every side. There was a desk where a receptionist had her head bowed down, and there were seats all around – sofas and easy chairs, and other people walked around chatting or looking at what looked like smartphones or hand terminals. It was all rather like science fiction. Drake grinned at me.
‘Impressive’
‘What?’
‘This place – you made it the way you expected it to be. I’ve met others who had oak panelled libraries or hospital waiting rooms. I like this one, it’s bright and airy. You’re also your best idea of yourself – you don’t look much different from what I saw before, so you must be pretty self confident’
‘I - you’re welcome I suppose’
‘Okay, we need to get you checked in, make everything official in case you need to be found in an emergency’
‘Like what?’
‘Well obviously if your partner woke and found you sitting sleeping in front of the laptop and couldn’t wake you he might freak out, so we’d send you back straight away’ He started toward the reception desk, and on the way I saw a familiar figure.
‘Hold on – is that…’ I started, and the tall neatly bearded man clapped Drake on the shoulder
‘Walker, you found another one – I hope you’ve explained everything to her. Good afternoon…’ he stopped ‘or is it morning? It doesn’t matter, welcome to our world – which you had a hand in making’
‘Th - thankyou – Bastien?’ I stammered, shaking the hand he offered me, slightly overawed.
‘In the flesh’ he smiled ‘I hope you enjoy your time with us’ He walked away and I turned to Drake, mouth open.
‘Is there – will I meet all the others?’
‘If they’re around, yes. I’ll introduce you to a few after we get you signed in’ We went up to the desk and the blonde woman looked up, unimpressed by my appearance.
‘Name?’ she intoned, totally deadpan and uninterested
‘Hi Maddy, this is Lesley – she wrote the latest one I’ve been in’
‘Oh yes? Fantastic’ she said sarcastically. She looked at me and slapped a piece of paper on the counter ‘Fill this in. It won’t take long.’ I looked at her critically.
‘Are you – are you Madeleine? From Fydelia?’ the blond woman rolled her eyes.
‘Yes, what of it?’
‘Well I – I suppose I’m surprised’
‘Well Lesley, if folk were more sympathetic when they wrote about me, maybe I’d give a damn. Just fill the form in’ She handed me a pen, and Drake led me away to a table, hand on my elbow
‘Don’t mind her, she’d be a whole different person if…’ he sighed ‘she’s just neglected, made out to be the bad guy, you know’ I smiled sympathetically and filled the form in – it was simple, just name, date of birth, my nom de plume and username, address and next of kin. There was also a section naming the stories I’d written. Drake looked over my shoulder.
‘Don’t worry too much about that, just the name of the series will do, we can find you with your username. I really enjoyed ‘Two’s Company’, and ‘Charlotte’s Choice’ is fun – that’s partly why I chose you.’ I finished and we took the paper back to Madeleine.
‘So, is there anyone you’d like to meet? This visit will just be a little housekeeping, we can go on an adventure next time.’ he said. I smiled, excited
‘Well I hit the jackpot with you – but Liam perhaps, and – well everyone from the Royal Romance I suppose.’
‘Sure thing, if I can find them, but be prepared for a couple of surprises with Liam’
‘Oh yes – what do you mean?’ Drake leaned close to me and kept his voice low ‘Well for a start there’s more than one of him – y’know, he can be three different races to start with – and some writers give him a different name. Sometimes he kind of flickers from one race to another when he’s not in a story, it can be a bit freaky. Plus there are a lot of different face claims for him’
‘Oooh that must be confusing’ I exclaimed.  Drake shrugged
‘Kind of, but he’s always recognisable – that regal posture you know, even when he’s been written in as a gangster, it’s still there.’ He looked down at his hands ‘I – I have some difficulties too, thanks to the fandom.’ I put my hand reassuringly on his shoulder
‘I’m sorry to hear that. What exactly do you mean?’ He sighed, and as he did, someone came up to greet us. I looked up and my mouth opened in astonishment.
‘Hey brother, you got another friend? Maybe I can play with her some time’ Drake grimaced
‘Maybe, maybe not, it depends on what fic she chooses.’ I looked from one to the other of the two men. They were both Drake, but one - the one who had brought me there - looked just like the drawings from the game, albeit more real, and the other was the spitting image of Ben Barnes. To have two versions of my fictional lover was pretty mind blowing and I was glad I was sitting down, otherwise my legs would not have held me up.
‘Oh Lord.’ I exclaimed ‘There must be a Daniel di Tomasso about somewhere’. The Ben clone grinned.
‘Bingo. Though if you take Drakey here to a story where the writer uses me as a faceclaim, he’ll change.’ I gasped
‘Oh, that’s – unusual. Does it hurt?’
‘Nah, but it feels pretty weird’ Ben/Drake replied. ‘My’ Drake  spoke up again
‘Don’t you have somewhere to be? Les here is my companion’ I felt a little flutter in my stomach at his possessiveness, plus that term was…
‘Companion? That sounds remarkably like…’ I said, but he suddenly put his hand up, and the Ben clone winced.
‘Stop! Don’t say it! It’s bad form to name another fandom, plus it messes things up, makes everyone feel sick for a bit. Maybe I shouldn’t use that term, but it’s the best one I’ve come across’ He turned to Ben/Drake and made a dismissive nod.
‘Fine.’ the other man said ‘She’s your date. Anyhow, you should try the writer I’m with – non stop sex, I can hardly keep up’ He smirked, and reached up to tousle his hair. With a wave, he strode off to one of the doors, a swagger in his walk. Drake leaned across to me
‘He shouldn’t count his chickens – I’ve heard a rumour he’s being – well, for want of a better word – terminated’
‘Terminated? You mean…?’ He drew his hand across his throat
‘Yup. Loads of angst to come there, but he gets to hang around as a ghost for a while. It’s not as bad as it sounds, he’ll be back to normal in the next fic he’s assigned’ He reached across the table to me, taking my hand. There was an odd little jolt, an electric shock, and he smiled as I jumped slightly ‘That’s a good sign, we have a connection. Is there anything you want to ask?’
‘Are there other companions? How often will we meet up? How do we choose…’ He put his hand up again.
‘Woah, slow down Les, that’s a whole lot of questions. Yes there are other companions, mainly following my character and Liam’s, and in this particular place, as you’ve only ever written about our story, there’s no crossover with any others – and again, don’t mention them, things get weird.’ He paused ‘How often we meet is up to you – was this time good for you?’ I nodded ‘I’ll be there waiting, just minimise the screen and I’ll find you. The choosing – that’s more complicated, what we’ll do is go over some of the original stories, get acquainted – after all there is some pretty steamy stuff out there’ I gulped nervously.
‘Isn’t that like having an affair? I have to tell you…’ I felt myself blush furiously ‘I’ve only ever had one partner’ He smiled and squeezed my hand
‘That’s adorable, and so rare. But no, it’s not ‘real’ now is it? Isn’t that one of the first things you said to me? How many times have we made love in your head already?’ I squirmed in my seat.
‘Uh, okay. But am I selling my soul? Will I be able to get back out?’ He laughed out loud.
‘No, don’t be silly. This is all totally risk free. It happens with books too – it’s just easier electronically, that’s all. If you’re in a situation you don’t like, you can snap your fingers and be back in this hall – like Dorothy and her ruby red slippers. It’s just a bit of fun, trust me.’
‘Well, I think I’m sold’ I smiled at him. ‘Is it time to go back yet?’ His face dropped a little ‘oh, not that I want – I’m happy to stay longer, I just feel – a little shy. It’s not every day you meet your secret lover who doesn’t really exist’ He grinned again and my heart melted just a little more.
‘You’re sweet Les, shy is fine. I’ve made some bad choices believe me, some real man eaters who dragged me off to the steamiest fics they could find, it was exhausting’
‘You get tired?’ he shrugged
‘Not physically, after all my character had incredible stamina – but mentally and emotionally I can burn out, you know? The original Drake found it hard to deal with his feelings after all, and no matter how I’m written, that stays with me.’
‘Okay, talking about feeling - how about when you’re shot, or the duel when you’re wounded, does it hurt?’ He rubbed the back of his neck.
‘Well I don’t know how it is in the real world so I can’t compare – but it’s unpleasant, that much I can tell you, and if I know it’s coming – I’m not keen on it. Anything else?’
‘What happens if you aren’t attracted to your companion?’ I blushed, dammit…He gave my hand a squeeze again.
‘Well, it’s not totally random, I see or ‘feel’ the fics and go and take a look at the writer – though that’s not really a factor. It’s more or less a given that we’ll be attracted, as that’s written in. Also, as you’ve found out, you will have an idea in your head of how you’d like to appear, and it shows once you get here’ He waved his hand to indicate our surroundings ‘Either that or you match your faceclaim of the main character.  Actually a lot shows up in the writing, I’ve only once or twice made a bad decision as I said.’
‘So why me?’
‘As I said, I ‘felt’ your writing and thought we’d have some fun together. I like to be able to have some choice and not be dragged around randomly. I’m really pleased you’re okay with all this.’ He looked down at my hand, which was beginning to feel odd. I looked down too – it looked strange, becoming transparent, waves washing across it. I looked back up at my companion, and he smiled sadly.
‘Time to go back. I’m sorry we didn’t have more time. Close your eyes so it’s not too disorientating. I’ll see you tomorrow, unless you call me before. I’ll be waiting, just minimise your fic when you’re ready’ I nodded and closed my eyes.
I felt the odd pulling sensation again and a sort of a ‘whoosh’ in my ears, and when I opened my eyes I was back in front of my screen. I could hear my partner coming downstairs to use the bathroom. I blinked a few times and decided I had fallen asleep and had an odd dream. Time to close down, I thought, hit ‘save’ on my document, and closed down to go and join my partner. I quietly slipped into bed beside him.
‘What time is it?’ he said sleepily as I snuggled up beside him, relishing his warmth and solidity. It always was may favourite time of day, joining him in bed.
‘Bedtime’ I joked. ‘I think I fell asleep downstairs – I had the weirdest dream’
‘Uh huh’ he murmured, already drifting back to sleep. He didn’t dream much himself, and it was a weird one, so I didn’t bother to tell him, just kissed him on the cheek and let the memory lull me off into slumber.

In This Light
Duo spent the last semester working in his older brother's coffee shop. He's resigned himself to a boring spring when a stranger appears, shaking up his entire life. Eli left home last fall, choosing to spend the last six months living out of his van on his travels from the Midwest to the East Coast. By the time he arrives at Ink's, the novelty of traveling alone has started to wear off. Still, the last thing he's expecting is to meet someone who's going to change all that for him

The Shinigami and The Silencer
They say a person only needs three things to be truly happy in this world: someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for.  I had all three, despite my rough start in life. I had a lover, a hobby that I loved, and I had a hope… hope that my lover would get better, that we would be together forever. But he didn’t. He died in a hospital bed, cold and alone as I watched through a window, my body covered in chains. I wasn’t even allowed to bury him as the prison sent his body off to be cremated. My heart broke that night and the next day, on the way to my execution, I killed five of my guards before the others opened fire. I was dead before I hit the floor, my blood staining it. Why was I being executed you ask? Let me tell you the story of The Shinigami and The Silencer.
Pairings: 2x3
Warnings: Major Character Death, death, angst

Singularity
Dr. Trowa Barton has a problem - he's this close to figuring out the secret to manufacturing a nanocarbon black pigment that could compete with Vantablack.  But he's also hit a dead end, and he's tired and maybe a night of drinking beer and painting Beagles is exactly what he needs to get his research back on track.

If You Let Me
If Trowa could give the new residents one rule for surviving the ICU, it would be ‘Don’t Touch Anything. (Especially The Patients.)’.  In reality, he’d actually give them a lot of rules, possibly with diagrams for clarity.  But his main rule essentially covered the bases. When you worked in one of the largest ICUs, in the biggest medical center in the country, at a hospital known for taking on unstable patients for the most complex and risky surgeries that were performed no-where else, new residents were a menace. Until he meets Dr. Maxwell, the newest anesthesia resident.

The Trials & Tribulations of a High Society Shinigami
Duo was a very caring woman, an open book so to speak, always there to help those that needed it with a smile on hand. The problem was she was surrounded by insane men who needed to be watched over like kids and her fellow women left her to it. Resigning herself to being the team mom Duo did her best, but she hadn't planned on Heero admitting he loved her. Things are weird now...

The Source of All Things
Center, a planet where magic and technology blend. Or more accurately, fight tooth and nail. A planet of Sources, holes in our boring dimension letting through arcane power, chaos and pseudo-deities. In this hot-house of myths and very real dangers, Trowa and Quatre find a mysterious man at the end of a shamanic voyage. Portents suggest this Heero Yuy is crucial to Center’s survival. He’s important enough to have some interesting enemies after him, at any rate: a devious killer and thief called ‘Shinigami’, and a very irate Dragon. Beyond them looms an even greater threat. Indeed, the greatest of them all.
Pairings: 3x4, 2x5, eventual 1x2x5
Warnings:  alternative universe, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Plot Twists, fairly graphic depiction of sex, Mild description of self-harm, Mathematical Magic, weird science, crones - Freeform, Magic and Technology brawling and eventually screwing, Eventual Threesome, Kinda, Insanity of arcane origin, The universe is a pile of marbles and other dubious allegories
Two Halves
The two kingdoms of Sanq and Lin were at war for years; a conflagration involving magic, armies and political murder. The conflict left both nations devastated and strewn with refugees. The king of Sanq finds his infant son, lost at birth, among the death and the ruin, a miracle he barely dared to hope for. But there isn't just one boy, there are two, clinging together like two halves of a whole that cannot be separated. Decades later, the truth behind that second child’s existence will put a hole in the world, or possibly save it.
Pairings: 1x2
Warnings: Fantasy AU, medieval setting with magic, starts with our heroes as children, Cousin Incest, sort of, eventually, being royalty this is in fact the norm and rather expected of them, Canon-Typical Violence

Trowa’s debut novel became a best-seller and now he is failing at writing a follow up. In order to find peace and quiet to write, he rents a secluded cabin near a small town to find inspiration. The first fan-fiction piece that I wrote back in 2010 on FF.net. I've edited it a little. They're all stand alone pieces so I'll keep them here as chapters rather than in separate posts. Comments are welcome. :)

2019 could have been written by Gary Shteyngart. The president tried to buy Greenland this year. Who could have imagined reading that sentence four years ago? In 2019 the septuagenarian president’s staff photoshopped his head onto the body of a young Sylvester Stallone and then got all huffy when none of us believed it was real. In 2019 an Oscar-nominated actress went to prison for paying someone to sweeten her daughter’s SAT score. 2019 gave us an eight-way tie for first in the National Spelling Bee. Twenty-eight different people decided to run for the Democratic nomination for president in 2019.1 In 2019 Jeffrey Epstein–credibly accused of sex-trafficking minors to a number of high-profile men–died while in police custody, spawning a thousand different conspiracy theories that spanned the entire political spectrum.2 Britain and Israel both spent most of 2019 trying to sort out who should run the countries and neither of them seem to have come up with a satisfactory answer, although Britain did manage to find time in its busy schedule to yell at its newest duchess–a biracial divorced American–for various imagined transgressions. In 2019 someone inexplicably agreed to marry Stephen Miller.3 And it wasn’t just the news that was weird: in 2019 my personal life was also extremely–well, let’s just say eventful. In April, right before the Game of Thrones premiere, my husband and I were smugly congratulating ourselves on weathering some family medical storms when we got a phone call that sent everything spiraling into chaos all over again.4 And still there was more: If you had told me on January 1 of 2019 that in less than a year I would be living in a different house in a different city with a different job, I would not have believed you. And yet here we are. And so in 2019 I used reading mostly as an escape: with a couple of exceptions, I responded most strongly to non-fiction that allowed me to imagine a different reality and fiction that held out the prospect of a happy ending or, failing that, that offered me a pleasantly whimsical world to inhabit for a few hours. 2019 was not a year when I went in search of deep character development or narrative realism or emotional truth. In 2019 I wanted to play pretend. Do not take that to mean that my favorite books of the year offered nothing more than escapism. No, the best books gave me everything: a different world, yes, but also beautiful prose and vividly drawn characters and original thoughts that made me put the book down and stare dreamily into the distance. What these books all have in common is that I’m still thinking about them now, weeks or months after I read them. The list, in the order that I read the books:
Bowlaway, by Elizabeth McCracken. It’s about candlepin bowling, and family, and marriage, and love. Some people didn’t like it because it isn’t super-plotty, but I loved hanging out with McCracken’s characters
L. E. L.: The Lost Life and Scandalous Death of Letitia Elizabeth Landon, the Celebrated “Female Byron”, by Lucasta Miller. If you read Miller’s The Bronte Myth, then you know to expect great things from her latest. I have never been a scandalous woman, to my eternal regret, but this book let me imagine what it might be like to be one.
Golden State, by Ben Winters. I have been a Ben Winters fan since his Last Policeman trilogy. In this book he pays as much attention to plot and story as he does to world-building and the result is a captivating thriller in a world where lying is one of the most serious crimes you can commit.
City of Girls, by Elizabeth Gilbert. Look, I get it, Gilbert is not everyone’s cup of tea. But I love her characters and I found this book wildly engaging, a story about a fun, naughty girl who unashamedly loves sex. It reminded me a bit of Sarah Waters’s Tipping the Velvet, but to be totally honest, I enjoyed this one more.
The Impeachers: The Trial of Andrew Johnson and the Dream of a Just Nation, by Brenda Wineapple. Does impeachment even matter if the president is not removed? In this account of the impeachment of Andrew Johnson, Wineapple makes the case that it does. She must have started this book before January 2017, because there’s a lot of research here — but it still made for awfully comforting reading while the debate over the current president’s impeachment swirled.
The Testaments, by Margaret Atwood. A follow-up to Atwood’s classic novel The Handmaid’s Tale. Is there a bit too much fan service in this novel? Does Atwood channel Katniss Everdeen to an excessive degree? Yes and yes. I loved it anyway. I liked the way Atwood bounced off the television series, making some plot points canon while refashioning others, and you know what, the hopeful ending may not be realistic but I’ll take it.
Sontag: Her Life and Work, by Benjamin Moser. There are few things I love more than big fat literary biographies. This one is smart and insightful and well-written, and will make you–as Jamaica Kincaid says–never want to be great. Sontag was a marvelous writer who was also a toxic parent, friend, and lover, and this book will make you consider, among other things, whether the one was worth the other.
Olive, Again, by Elizabeth Strout. OK, this one wasn’t escapism so much. On the other hand I think this is the first time I’ve ever had a best book list with two sequels on it.5 Maybe in 2019 I was trying to travel back in time? At any rate, this is Strout’s follow-up to Olive Kitteridge, a collection of short stories centering on one difficult woman that was my favorite book of 2008. The first book was insightful about love and marriage; this one is insightful about old age, loneliness, and coming to terms with yourself as you approach the end of your life.
Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland, by Patrick Radden Keefe. This is a pretty amazing account of a murder in 1972 that would only be solved thirty-plus years later. I cared about the victim, and I especially cared about her children, and I even found myself caring for the murderers. Along the way I learned a great deal about the IRA and “The Troubles,” about which I knew virtually nothing before.
The Enigma of Clarence Thomas, by Corey Robin. I have been angry at Clarence Thomas since I watched his hearings in my dorm room in 1991.6 Now that I have read Robin’s analysis of Thomas’s judicial philosophy, I am not less angry, but I do take Thomas more seriously as a thinker. Robin’s argument is that far from being a faint echo of Antonin Scalia, Thomas has developed his own strain of conservatism grounded in black nationalism. Maybe this is not an uncommon thesis among Supreme Court watchers–I don’t read legal journals so I don’t know–but it was new to me and I found it fascinating. Another book that wasn’t really an escape to a different world, but there’s nothing I like more than a fresh perspective on a subject I thought I’d made up my mind about.
1 Although that may seem like a humorous exaggeration, it is the actual number. 2 I have to be honest, you guys, I think he probably killed himself. 3 This seems like a life mistake on par with marrying Anthony Weiner, but the heart wants what it wants. 4 Pro tip: Never smugly congratulate yourself on weathering a storm! It only tempts the universe. 5 It’s probably also the first time my list has featured three Elizabeths, but I haven’t actually checked. 6 I am also still mad at Joe Biden for the way those hearings were run, but that’s a story for another day.
My very favorite books that were published in 2019, featuring two sequels and three Elizabeths. 2019 could have been written by Gary Shteyngart. The president tried to buy Greenland this year. Who could have imagined reading that sentence four years ago?

Anya’s Ghost
This book is about a girl named Anya who is not popular in or school , self-conscious about her body , and she doesn't want to try to fit in at school anymore. She met a dead girl one day when she took a ditched school and walked through a nearby forest , and ended up falling down a well. When she landed in the well she met a girl who has been dead for about 90 years because of a guy who apparently murdered her and no one ended up hearing her so she died in that well. The ghost started becoming more closer to Anya , even followed her home , at school and started helping her on tests , school work . Emily the ghost started to control Anya's life , get her into trouble. Anya eventually made Emily fall back into the well, and told the school to cover up the well Emily was in.
Anya was a character that was very self-confident , she didn't like anything about herself and always complained. She never loved her body but instead wanted to changed her appearance. She was unpopular in her New England private school , didn't have much friends. She cared what other people , the society thought of her that it made her self-conscious and didn't decide thing's for herself. Anya sometimes skipped school ,and didn't put much effort into her classes and that's why she never got good grades at school.
I would recommended this book to someone because it has eye-catching pictures , the colors make you want to open the book and start to look through it. The book thoroughly had a good opener and conclusion and talked about events that happened in detail. The book had a good conclusion and it didn't make you think , "why did they end it like that" ,and but made you think that the book ended off in a good way.
In my opinion,Anya remind's me a lot of people in society.Since Anya was a non-popular girl and she didn't really have much friends. Many of them care what other people think of them, and but in reality you weren't born to please other people, god didn't create you for other people to like you, because you'll have a lot of people who dislike you,it's either they don't have something that you have and or they are jealous of either how pretty you are or how financially stable you are. Even if you mind your own business they would still try to find a way to bring you down and or say a lie about you.

I am Malala:The Girl who stood up for education and was shot by the Taliban
This book is a non-fiction book which tells a tail about a girl named Malala who was shot by the Taliban when she got off a school bus that came from her school and two of her other friends were shot as well. Malala tells her tail on which she was shot by the Taliban. She recovered for those few months and after she healed how she wanted to help other young women who are being shot by the Taliban and how she wants to make a change. And how she's reached across other people who are astonished how she survived, and she inspired other girls too and how she's become an inspirational symbol of inspiration, bravery and but her survival instilled educators with courage.
I'm still reading the book and but that's basically the whole message of this book.
So, far I enjoyed this book , me as a Muslim I can really relate to Malala's viewpoints, and the certain practices as a Muslim her and her family must follow. It makes you re-create the whole scene that has happened to Malala , what she must have went through and her family to deal with the tragic event that has happened to her. This book makes you feel sad but yet happy because even though she got shot in the head by the Taliban she didn't just stop and rest when she recovered from her wound but she fought for her rights and freedom. Malala is a girl who fought for her rights and never hesitated.
I would recommend this book to another person because it's a very eye-catching story and it tells the tale in which she told and it has interesting events that take place that would make you wanting to read more of the book. Especially if your a girl who's reading it you would relate more because she's fighting for the rights of women who have been shot or in the near future could be shot. I think I would want to read more books from Malala because this is the first book I've read from her and it touched me and I know her other books would be just as good.

The Nobody
This book starts off with a stranger coming into a tiny, isolated fishing village of Large Mouth and causes serious confusion as to why he even came to stay in this area. He came to the village with wearing a weird costume consisting of wearing bandages head to toe, wearing weird goggles and he stayed at the residence in the slept town's motel. The village hears of his tragic story of his past and how he succumb a accident that left him damaged from all over. They felt bad for him and how he ended up this way and how he's going to be left with this image for life. The town decides to treat him as they would treat other people in the town and even though he may have covered up something from his past and hasn't completely told the whole story to his past.
I think this book overall is really mysterious because how the Stranger isin't who he really said he was ,and how the book is suspenseful because you want to read more , find how what kind of person the stranger is and who he really is. The author is effective because we eventually find out that the stranger is a guy who's really a ghost because when they shoot him at the end at the lake , they find no blood , don't find his body so everyone thinks that he wasn't a real human and so the author does portray what he wanted to because we find out what kind of person he was and how he was lying front the start when he was talking about his past.
I would recommend this book to someone because it is really mysterious,it has a good plot , images , colors that make the book stand out and make you want to read it. This book has a good setting because it's in a small village where there's not a lot of people living there , everyone know's each other so that's why they butted into The Nobody's past to find out what kind of guy he is and what kind of person they're going to have living in their village. The Nobody had a good ending because at the end we found of the suspense that we wanted to find out of what kind of person The Nobody was and how he wasn't who the villagers expected but felt that something was off about him and no one in the village should approach him.

yummy
This book is about a young 11 year old boy named Yummy who lived in Chicago ,in a neighborhood called Roseland. He belonged to a gang called the Black Disciples. His neighborhood was full of gangs and it was even unsafe to step outside your door. They told him to prove himself worthy of the gang and told him to shoot at a group of gang rival members. He shot and hit someone who wasn't the target. His neighborhood friend Shavon Dean got hit with one bullet and died. Yummy felt terrible about it , the gang told him to hide himself for a few days because the Police were looking for him and wanted signs of him where all over his neighborhood. His so ''called" gang members took him to a railroad track to see a guy named monster , but they sabotaged him and instead ended up killing him.
The character Yummy ,is a young boy who is scared but also has no choice. He is a boy who just caught up with a wrong group of people and if he had things to keep him occupied like soccer classes, or anything else he would enjoy he wouldn't be caught up with the bad guys. Yummy in the inside is an innocent kid who just shot the young girl because the gang told him to and he got influenced but then afterwards felt awful and regretful that he has shot his childhood friend. He just got into the wrong group of people, didn't have another other choices of what to do but be outside all day ,because he never played outside like other kids but did criminal acts.
Out of 10 i would rate this book a 8 because it has eye-catching graphics that catch your attention even though there black and white. This book reminds you of a real life scenario of people getting caught up with a bad group of people , getting a consequence because of it. It teaches you a lesson of not to get into this kind of scenario because it could end up you in jail or you could die from it. This book has a good starting and a good ending from what could happen to you if you end up being in a gang or with bad influences.

March:Book Two
This book is about segregation, how white people ruled black people and tortured them, physically and mentally abused them .Black people weren't allowed to sit on the same side as white people on the bus , if they found them on any property that said "whites only" then they would get beat up and or killed in different circumstances. Violence was a serious problem back then , many people didn't get justice because back then they would either kill you or near you if you file a police report against them. They wouldn't care about what you thought ,didn't listen to what you had to say but just got you jailed. But as the violence got worse, our protests became more aggressive.
The author of the book clearly wanted to send a message of segregation, how it's still going on in parts of the world. Its a Serious problem and people shouldn't be treated like animals because of their race. They don't get justice and the police wouldn't get charged for beating them or murdering them. Since the police is in a higher position then the person who got killed then they wouldn't get justice and a fair trial and at the end the police officer wouldn't get convicted.
This book show's  segregation back then and how sad it was now to see how Black's were treated back then. Black activists wanted to have freedom, to stop racism and black's being treated unfairly and like animals. They do non-violent protests, because that's what they were famous for , and why would they copy White's who are acting violent towards them that sane why as them , they are trying to send a message and that is that they do non-violent protests and show peace towards the other side. Martin Luther King was a figure of holding non-violent protests, he believed that is was one of the ways that he and other activists like him can show that non-violent protests is a weapon against and racist and unjust society.
An Example of my own that's happening today is young black men dying because of police brutality, police killing them just because they're black and they think they'll have a weapon on them. A real scenario that happened in Toronto that was on the news was about a young black male named Dafonte Miller,19 who was brutally beaten and blinded in his left eye. On the day that this happened , Dafonte , his friends were walking down Erickson Drive,in Whitby ,were heading to another friends house when two men tried to confront them and began chasing them with a metal pipe. His friends managed to escape but he was left behind , was repeatedly hit with a metal pipe , they eventually had to remove his left eye ,and he also suffered a broken nose, jaw and wrist. It was considered the 2 men committed this act based on his race and because he's a young black male. They think every black male are armed, are dangerous , accuse them of having a weapon on them ,and that's why many of them have been killed.
The link to the article of the young black man Dafonte Miller who was brutally beaten
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/siu-charges-toronto-police-officer-1.4209353
This book overall was shocking yet really good because it explained , showed how black people survived when their was segregation, and how they were treated and what they had to deal with in a day to day basis. Many whites owned lands, the police, the government, courtrooms, the law,the armed forces and the press. Also , the political system denied blacks the right to vote. The graphics, the many beatings that was going on in the book clearly showed how helpless black people were and had to suffer being treated poorly by white people.

I am Nujood,Age 10 and Divorced
Characterization 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 added all together (Plot development & setting and mood
This book, “I am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced takes place in Yemen, in a rustic village called Khardji, it’s a small, remote, in a rural area. The story takes place in a rustic village called Khardji, Yemen.  Nujood was forced by her father one day to marry a man who was three times her age, she was sent away from her family, was forced to live with her husband and his family, in an isolated village in rural Yemen. When she was living with them she suffered from physical and emotional abuse from her mother-in-law daily and at night she had to deal with her abusive husband. On the day of their wedding night he took Nujood's virginity away at just 10 years old when her dad specially told him to wait until her first period. I think this setting is essential because this story line that happened to Nujood happens to many kids around the world , who get an arranged marriage at a really young age to a guy 20 times or 30 times their age, and the story line , the theme, plot wouldn't change at all. The main conflict is, Person Vs. Other, because Nujood has to fight over her so called husband so she can win over him and get the divorce. The problem will be solved by Nujood, one day running from her husband’s house and going for local people who can help her, and finalize the divorce. I think that, because Nujood is a courageous person, even though she has hardships with her in-laws she still fights for her rights and doesn’t stop. I think the plots and subplots make sense, the question, I want to ask is what happened to Nujood’s life after she got the divorce, if she went to school, and what is she doing now to help other young girls like her who are in a current relationship with a man who’s 2 times or 3 times their age. I think I wouldn’t change any parts of the story , because it’s really effective and makes the reader visualize how Nujood must have felt being all alone in a strangers house and what she went through while living there. It has breathtaking and dramatic writing that would make the reader emotional which is what the author may have wanted to do and make some connections to Nujood.
The narrator of this book is Nujood, it was really effective with making her the narrator because you get every single detail, information that leads to events in a first person view, we can feel a better emotion by just reading through her story and we can feel her trauma, how distressed she was and the words that she used were really powerful and touching.
The Structure of the book affects the story because various flashbacks of what happened to Nujood when she lived with her husband, many parts were unbearable and saddening. Around the world many underage kids who are children are forced to get an arraigned marriage. Countries such as;India, Nigeria, Mexico, Uganda, Egypt, and many more. Most of the time it’s because the family is financially unstable, needs their child's family to help them out, and or they don't want to take care of the child anymore and sells them to another country. In World Issues, I watched a documentary of girls from countries around the world being sold off to another family, in an arraigned marriage. There was a girl who was from Pakistan, her parents sold her off, the family where the child was being sold off too got dowry (money from their in- laws), they used it to buy their son a used truck. That young girl later became pregnant with a boy, and had to deal with the suffering at such a young stage.
How I feel when I read this book is sad, astonished  because a girl like Nujood who had to deal with stress, pain, torture, verbal abuse, at such a young age when she didn't do anything to deserve this from what her only family did to her. At such a young age she dealt with a tremendous event, had to go through many obstacles to get justice and to finalize her divorce was a huge hassle. She probably felt betrayal from her family, and but she had to survive, not lose but to get the rights she deserved. The saddest part of this book was when Nujood , her husband who she got an arraigned marriage to took her virginity from her when she was only ten years old, it must have been traumatizing for her and but she was all alone in a strangers house with no one to talk too.
