Darry would be so supportive and would constantly remind you how much he loves how you look. If he sees you looking at yourself, and making any sort of negative comments about your body, he’ll very quickly shut them down, praising you and showering you with little compliments. If you don’t want to be in pictures, he won’t force you, but he will reassure you that you’ll look perfect regardless.

You’re standing in front of your mirror, toying idly with the hem of your shirt, a frown crossing your features. It doesn’t take Darry long to notice your expression, and he’s quick to come up behind you, arms wrapping around your middle as he presses a soft kiss to the side of your neck. “Stop being so hard on yourself. You look gorgeous.” 

Sodapop Curtis - 

When you first tell Soda about your insecurities, he is very confused. He thinks you’re the most perfect person he’s ever laid eyes on, and he just can’t seem to spot any of the negative things you point out. He’ll hold you close, peppering little kisses all over your face, mumbling little comments and listing every little thing he loves about you between each one (it’s a long list.) 

Soda’s arm winds around your middle, pulling you close to him as he tilts your chin up. He leans down, pressing soft, delicate kisses to your cheeks, your lips, your forehead… “I love you.. I love your face, your body… everything.” 

Ponyboy Curtis - 

Pony hates seeing you down about yourself. He always fowa everything he can to make sure you know how amazing he thinks you are. He’ll draw you, write you little poems… When he sees you looking at yourself, or overhears you talking bad about a picture of yourself, he’ll very quickly shut it down, feeding you little compliments. 

You can’t help but smile softly, looking up from the paper you’re holding and the scribbling words written upon it. “I thought you might need a reminder,” Pony shrugs, looking a little sheepish. “I think you’re perfect…” 

Johnny Cade - 

Johnny is the sweetest, always looking out for you. The second he notices you looking at yourself in the mirror, or in pictures, he’ll make a little comment about how pretty you look, how good you look in that outfit. He doesn’t want to hear you talk badly about yourself, not at all. 

“Your dress looks good by the way.” Johnny mumbles, glancing over at you as the the pair of you walk back from the lot. “I didn’t get the chance to say it earlier, but you look really pretty…” 

Dallas Winston - 

While Dally might not be the greatest at understanding and sympathizing with you, he sure can feed you compliments like it’s his first language. If you say anything remotely bad about yourself, he’ll scoff and tell you to shut up. He thinks your hot, and he won’t sit around and listen to you talk bad about yourself. No matter what you’re wearing and how you feel in it, he will let you know just how good you look. 

“What’d you say?” Dallas raises a brow, glaring down at you. “Nobody talks about my girl like that, ya hear?” His arm wraps around your shoulders, and he smirks faintly. “You look great, babe. Trust me.” 

Steve Randle - 

Steve is incredibly protective over you, and when he notices you picking yourself apart, he’s very quick to put those pieces back together, and make sure they stay together. He wont tolerate you putting yourself down, because to him you’re perfect, and he wants you to see yourself the way he sees you. 

You and Steve are lying on the couch together, looking idly through stacks of photos. You can’t help but hate how you look in each one, grimacing and turning away, hiding your face in Steve’s neck, and mumbling about how terrible you look. Steve is very quick to argue. “Oh, come on. You seriously think you look bad?” He tilts your head up, holding your face in his hands. “You’re stunning, babe. Don’t forget it, alright?” 

Two-bit Mathews - 

Two always knows how to make you smile, even when you’re feeling bad about yourself. Whenever he catches you looking down on yourself, he’ll pull you away from the mirror, twirling you around and giving you playful, dramatic kisses. His humor is his way of showing love, and the thing he loves about you most is your smile, and he makes sure you know that.

The two of you are sitting together outside of his house, the sun setting over the garden. Your fingers pick idly at your shirt, and you can’t shake the feeling that something about you look incredibly off.  Two is very quick to notice, wrapping an arm around you and pulling you into his side. “You know, you’re gonna make the rest of us look bad if you’re acting like that, hon.” He grins, kissing you softly. “You’re stunning, alright? If it is an actual animal, search for some cartoon references of them! Maybe that can help!

Saturate the colors A LOT. Do you think kiddies would like an old, rusty, sad-beige-mom animal in their show??!?! Well- maybe…..🤔

But thats not the point! Make them bright! Make them pop!

Also, don’t always base them off of the animals ACTUAL colors! Give them different colors! If you want to make your alligator oc red because he lives in the depths of an erupting volcano then go ahead! If you want your parrot oc to be THE COLOR OF THE FUCKING RAINBOW then go ahead!! Who says they have to be the normal colors? Not me!

PERSONALITY AND ANIMAL CHOOSING-

Sooo… if you wanna be very picky like me.. then choose animals by how they would act in a society!

A hyena wouldn’t be nice! They would make fun of people, they would be rude!

A gazelle would be shy! They wouldn’t get their kicks from fighting!

i’ve been stewing on this for DAYS debating on drawing hcs or writing some but i’ll do the latter for now -also this is all familial because believe it or not siblings can snuggle and show affection

Darry and Soda always are able to tell when Pony is anxious because they’ll be sitting in silence and Pony’s stomach starts making awful sounds (anxious tummy)

They kinda immediately know what to do-darry sits with Pony because he doesn’t want him to have. a panic attack-so he lets Pony listen to his heartbeat (in the book i guess it was implied Pony likes listening to his brothers’ heartbeats)

Soda always tries to soothe Pony’s stomach whenever this happens because he knows if Pony gets too worked up he’ll throw up

Additionally Pony enjoys being a makeshift blanket for his brothers because he can listen to their heartbeats and stomach gurgles and it just reminds him that he’s safe and sound with both his brothers

It’s honestly the same all around the table. After the church incident Pony has a hard time eating so the first time he ate a full meal his brothers were snuggled up to him like cats because they were happy he was full and they liked making sure he was actually full

Sometimes Darry will skip his lunch break in favor of picking Pony up from school so he can talk to him about his day (he really makes an effort to talk to Pony more after the books)

Pony and Soda often go for walks to wear Soda out before bed or Soda will be kicking Pony all night because he’s so restless

The three sometimes sleep in their parents’ room when they have a rough day because they like pretending their parents are with them and telling them they’ll be okay (bets are one of them starts crying)

Whenever one of them is upset the other two are as well. They can also always sense whenever one is upset.

Darry works to get along off smoking cigarettes in favor of nicotine gum. It works for a bit but every time Pony relapses Darry assures him that he isn’t mad and that he’s proud of Pony for making it as far as he did

Soda is the only one who can calm Darry down when he’s angry enough. Not even Pony can.

After the book every time Darry raises his voice at Pony he locks himself up in his room and cries

He can’t bring himself to touch Pony after a while unless Pony initiates first because he’s scared of hurting him

Soda is lactose intolerant and Pony likes to make jokes comparing Darry with dairy by saying “wow I didn’t know you were allergic to our brother” and shit like that

•BUT id say that pony never actually took the time to heal from his parents dying bc sm happened and at some point it kinda just hit him hard

•he did notice some differences in pony around the time but he thought that it would pass, and it did, but it always came back, he noticed that pattern

•as much as curly would love to go outside and fuck around to make pony happy, idk i think he’d respect that he just doesnt wanna go outside constantly, sometimes pony just wants to lay down and who is he to hate on that

Rereading The Hobbit chapter "Roast Mutton," I'm struck by a) how funny it is, and b) how hard it would be to capture that humor in video form.

Bilbo and the dwarves are getting their first taste of camping which isn't really agreeing with them. It's raining and they can't even get a fire started. One of their ponies got spooked and ended up in the river, ruining most of their food stores. They're cold and generally miserable. And then they see a campfire through the trees and send Bilbo off to investigate.

Which is when things get really fun. And, in fairness, the fun goes on for quite a bit. I'm afraid I enjoyed this scene too much not to share it in all its glory; you can skip down to the row of asterisks below the cut if you don't need to read 2,000-ish words of Tolkien hamming it up.

So, naturally, he got right up to the fire - for fire it was - without disturbing anyone. And this is what he saw. Three very large persons sitting round a very large fire of beech-logs. They were toasting mutton on long spits of wood, and licking the gravy off their fingers. There was a fine toothsome smell. Also there was a barrel of good drink at hand, and they were drinking out of jugs. But they were trolls. Obviously trolls. Even Bilbo, in spite of his sheltered life, could see that from the great heavy faces of them, and heir size, and the shape of their legs, not to mention their language, which was not drawing-room fashion at all, at all.

"Mutton yesterday, mutton today, and blimey, if it don't look like mutton again tomorrer," said one of the trolls.

"Never a blinking bit of manflesh have we had for long enough," said a second. "What the 'ell William was a-thinkin' of to bring us into these parts at all, beats me - and the drink runnin' short, what's more," he said jogging the elbow of William, who was taking a pull at his jug.

William choked. "Shut yer mouth!" he said as soon as he could. "Yer can't expect folk to stop here for ever just to be et by you and Bert. You've et a village and a half between yer, since we come down from the mountains. How much more d'yer want? And time's been up our way, when yer'd have said 'thank yer Bill' for a nice bit o' fat valley mutton like what this is." He took a long bite off a sheep's leg he was toasting, and wiped his lips on his sleeve.

Yes, I am afraid trolls do behave like that, even those with only one head each. After hearing all this Bilbo ought to have done something at once. Either he should have gone back quietly and warned his friends that there were three fair-sized trolls at hand in a nasty mood, quite likely to try toasted dwarf, or even pony, for a change; or else he should have done a bit of good quick burgling. A really first-class and legendary burglar would at this point have picked the trolls' pockets - it is nearly always worthwhile if you can manage it - pinched the very mutton off the spite, purloined the beer, and walked off without their noticing him. Others more practical but with less professional pride would perhaps have stuck a dagger into each of them before they observed it. Then the night could have been spent cheerily.

Bilbo knew it. He had read of a good many things he had never seen or done. He was very much alarmed, as well as disgusted; he wished himself a hundred miles away, and yet - and yet somehow he could not go straight back to Thorin and Company empty-handed.

So he stood and hesitated in the shadows. Of the various burglarious proceedings he had heard of picking the trolls' pockets seemed the least difficult, so at last he crept behind a tree just behind William.

Bert and Tom went off to the barrel. William was having another drink. Then Bilbo plucked up courage and put his little hand in William's enormous pocket. There was a purse in it, as big as a bag to Bilbo. "Ha!" thought him warming to his new work as he lifted it carefully out, "this is a beginning!"

It was! Trolls' purses are the mischief, and this was no exception. 'Ere, 'oo are you?" it squeaked, as it left the pocket; and William turned round at once and grabbed Bilbo by the neck, before he could duck behind the tree.

"Blimey, Bert, look what I've copped!" said William.

"What is it?" said the others coming up.

"Lumme, if I know! What are yer?"

"Bilbo Baggins, a burr-- a hobbit," said poor Bilbo, shaking all over, and wondering how to make owl-noises before they throttled him."

"A burrahobbit?" said they a bit startled. Trolls are slow in the uptake, and mighty suspicious about anything new to them.

"What's a burrahobbit got to do with my pocket, anyways?" said William.

"And can yer cook 'em?" said Tom.

"Yer can try," said Bert, picking up a skewer.

"He wouldn't make above a mouthful," said William, who had already had a fine supper, "not when he was skinned and boned."

"P'raps there are more like him round about, and we might make a pie," said Bert. "Here you, are there any more of your sort a-sneakin' in these here woods, yer nasty little rabbit," said he looking at the hobbit's furry feet and he picked him up by the toes and shook him.

"Yes, lots," said Bilbo, before he remembered not to give his friends away. "No, none at all, not one," he said immediately afterwards.

"What d'yer mean?" said Bert, holding him right away up, by the hair this time.

"What I say," said Bilbo gasping. "and please don't cook me, kind sirs! I am a good cook myself, and cook better than I cook, if you see what I mean. I'll cook beautifully for you, a perfectly beautiful breakfast for you, if only you won't have me for supper."

"Poor little blighter," said William. He had already had as much supper as he could hold; also he had had lots of beer. "Poor little blighter! Let him go!"

"Not till he says what he means by lots and none at all," said Bert. "I don't want to have me throat cut in me sleep. Hold his toes in the fire till he talks!"

"I won't have it," said William. "I caught him anyway."

"You're a fat fool, William," said Bert, "as I've said afore this evening."

"And you're a lout!"

"And I won't take that from you, Bill Huggins," says Bert, and puts his fist in William's eye.

Then there was a gorgeous row. Bilbo had just enough wits left, when Bert dropped him on the ground, to scramble out of the way of their feet, before they were fighting like dogs, and calling one another all sorts of perfectly true and applicable names in very loud voices. Soon they were locked in one another's arms and rolling nearly into the fire kicking and thumping, while Tom whacked at them both with a branch to bring them to their senses -and that of course only made them madder than ever. That would have been the time for Bilbo to have left. But his poor little feet had been very squashed in Bert's big paw; and he had no breath in his body, and his head was going round; so there he lay for a while panting, just outside the circle of firelight.

Right in the middle of the fight up came Balin. The dwarves had heard noises from a distance, and after waiting or some time for Bilbo to come back, or to hoot like an owl, they started off one by one to creep towards the light as quietly as they could. No sooner did Tom see Balin come into the light than he gave an awful howl. Trolls simply detest the very sight of dwarves (uncooked). Bert and Bill stopped fighting immediately, and "a sack, Tom, quick!" they said, before Balin, who was wondering where in all this commotion Bilbo was, knew what was happening, a sack was over his head and he was down.

"There's more to come yet," said Tom, "or I'm mighty mistook. Lots and none at all, it is," said he. "No burrahobbits, but lots of these here dwarves. That's about the shape of it!"

"I reckon you're right," said Bert, "and we'd best get out of the light."

And so they did. With sacks in their hands, that they used for carrying off mutton and other plunder, they waited in the shadows. As each dwarf came up and looked at the fire, and the spilled jugs, and the gnawed mutton, in surprise, pop! Went a nasty smelly sack over hi shead, and he was down. Soon Dwalin lay by Balin, and Fili and Kili together, and Dori and Nori and Ori all in a heap, and Oin and Gloin and Bifur and Bofur and Bombur piled uncomfortably near the fire.

"That'll teach 'em," said Tom; for Bifur and Bombur had given a lot of trouble, and fought like mad, as dwarves will when cornered.

Thorin came last - and he was not caught unawares. He came expecting mischief, and didn't need to see his friends' legs sticking out of sacks to tell him that things were not all well. He stood outside in the shadows some way off, and said: "What's all this trouble? Who has been knocking my people about?"

"It's trolls!" said Bilbo from behind a tree. They had forgotten all about him. "They're hiding in the bushes with sacks," said he.

"O! are they?" said Thorin, and he jumped forward to the fire, before they could leap on him. He caught up a big branch all on fire at one end; and Bert got that end in his eye before he could step aside. That put him out of the battle for a bit. Bilbo did his best. He caught hold of Tom's legs - as well as he could, it was thick as a young tree-trunk - but he was sent spinning into the top of some bushes, when Tom kicked the sparks up in Thorin's face.

Tom got the branch in his teeth for that, and lost one of the front ones. It made him howl, I can tell you. But just at that moment William came up behind and popped a sack right over Thorin's head and down to his toes. And so the fight ended. A nice pickle they were all in now: all neatly tied up in sacks, with three angry trolls (and two with burns and bashes to remember) sitting by them, arguing whether they should roast them slowly, or mince them fine and boil them, or just sit on them one by one and squash them into jelly: and Bilbo up in a bush, with his clothes and his skin torn, not daring to move for fear they should hear him.

It was just then that Gandalf came back. But no one saw him. The trolls had just decided to roast the dwarves now and eat them later – that was Bert's idea, and after a lot of argument they had all agreed to it.

"No good roasting 'em now, it'd take all night," said a voice. Bert thought it was William's.

"Don't start the argument all over again, Bill," he said, "or it will take all night."

"Who's a-arguing?" said William, who thought it was Bert that had spoken.

"You are," said Bert.

"You're a liar," said William; and so the argument beg all over again. In the end they decided to mince them fine and boil them. So they got a black pot, and they took out their knives.

"No good boiling 'em! We ain't got no water, and it's a long way to the well and all," said a voice. Bert and Wiliam thought it was Tom's.

"Shut up!" said they, "or we'll never have done. And yer can fetch the water yerself, if yer say any more."

"Shut up yerself!" said Tom, who thought it was William's voice. "Who's arguing but you. I'd like to know."

"You're a booby," said William.

"Booby yerself!" said Tom.

And so the argument begun all over again, and went on hotter than ever, until at last they decided to sit on the sacks one by one and squash them, and boil them next time.

"Who shall we sit on first?" said the voice.

"Better sit on the last fellow first," said Bert, whose eye had been damaged by Thorin. He thought Tom was talking.

"Don't talk to yerself!" said Tom. "But if you wants to sit on the last one, sit on him. Which is he?"

"The one with the yellow stockings," said Bert.

"Nonsense, the one with the grey stockings," said a voice like William's.

"I made sure it was yellow," said Bert.

"Yellow it was," said William.

"Then why did yer say it was grey for?" said Bert.

"I never did. Tom said it."

"That I never did!" said Tom. "It was you."

"Two to one, so shut yer mouth!" said Bert.

"Who are you a-talkin' to?" said William.

"Now stop it!" said Tom and Bert together. "That night's getting' on, and dawn comes early. Let's get on with it!"

"Dawn takes you all, and be stone to you!" said a voice that sounded like William's. But it wasn't. For just at that moment the light came over the hill, and there was a mighty twitter in the branches. William never spoke for he stood turned to stone as he stooped; and Bert and Tom were stuck like rocks as they looked at him. And there they stand to this day, all alone, unless the birds perch on them; for trolls, as you probably know, must be underground before dawn, or they go back to the stuff of the mountains they are made of, and never move again. That is what had happened to Bert and Tom and William.

Peter Jackson gives us his own version

... but it's much more heroic. There's a bit of fun back and forth at the beginning, but there's no personified pocket giving Bilbo away, no bumbling fun of the dwarves turning up one by one and caught offguard. None of Gandalf's chuckle-worthy puppeteering. It actually works much better for th kind of story I think PJ's trying to tell, and I'm not criticizing him for it. Because the humor is so verbal, it's so tied in word-play, and I'm really struggling to imagine it translating well into a full visual storyteling. It's made to be read, or perhaps have it read to you, funny voices and all.

That said, if you've not read the books, I do believe you're missing out an Experience here. I'd forgotten how much I love this bit until I reread it myself.

On a more serious note, I do love how seriously Tolkien takes the risk of provisions running short, accidents complicating things and all that. He survived the trench warfare of WWI, and one of the things that most fascinates me about that period was you were as likely to die from just the waste and utter stupidity of war as from a bullet or mustard-gas. It's fitting that the company's first real challenge isn't an orc army or spying crows out of Dunland carrying news back to Saruman; it was simply "mighty little left for supper, and less for breakfast."

I'm also struck by how the dwarves turn up one by one and in small groups in the book. There's a parallel there between their arrival at Bag End, and later at Beorn's house. I'm not entirely sure what it means, but it happens often enough it seems intentional.

And just because I can, have Jirt himself singing Sam's "Troll Song" from Lord of the Rings. Good morning!

Steve has a tiktok series called Steve Skills Up where he duets with other creators and tries to learn new skills. One day he finds himself tagged in someone's video asking him to duet with a new viral creator. Bucky Barnes is a potter who posts videos of him making various bowls and cups. Oh, and he does this shirtless...

Steve didn’t intend to become a content creator. He was just bored and downloaded tikok after Clint kept sending him videos of dogs being reunited with their owners and cats becoming friends with ducks. The intention was to only use the godforsaken app whenever he was sent a video, but then the thing got interesting and he was being shown videos of dubious cleaning hacks (it did force him to do some of the deep cleaning he’d been putting off forever), cooking inspiration (he was able to impress his friends at the last potluck with his sugar cookies), and a few prank videos that was absolutely 100% scripted (but he still watched every single one).

All this is to say, somehow he started scrolling and ended up on various art pages, which were actually interesting and gave him a lot of inspiration to pick up his sketchpads and paints again. He started off slowly: filmed timelapses of his painting, showed how he went from sketch to canvas, talked a little bit about why he prefers oil painting to watercolors. All of that was fun and he had a very small following.

Until he decided he wanted to learn more art mediums and styles because thinking about what to paint was hard and sometimes he just wasn’t feeling it. So then he started a series called Steve Skills Up, where he dueted with other creators and tried to replicate what they were doing: knitting, cross-stitching, sculpture, splatter painting (that one was messy but fun). Usually doing it wrong but eventually working it out. That series started to get popular and then he started getting people tagging him in videos and begging him to ‘Skill Up’. It’s fun, but it’s hard work. He finds that some of it is frustrating and there are just some days he doesn’t feel like getting in front of a camera, especially when his asthma acts up or after a full day of working. Unfortunately his online fame hasn’t meant that he can give up his day job.

One day he wakes up to hundreds of mentions. He sleepily looks at his phone to find out what people want him to do now. It’s a video that has racked up almost a million views and the username is @BuckysBowls. The guy in the video is sitting in front of a kiln in between his legs – shirtless – and there’s Ginuwine’s Pony playing in the background. The guy on screen is extremely hot: practically all abs and toned biceps. He definitely knows what he’s doing when he oh so innocently drops the mound of clay into the wheel, wets his hands and begins manhandling it; the slapping sounds sending something strange down Steve’s spine. Steve cannot stop watching. He’s completely entranced by the way the wheel spins so quickly yet this guy – Bucky – is able to keep such control over the clay, seemingly allowing it to do what it wants but also bending to his will.

Bucky’s hands wrap around the clay as it moulds to whatever shape he needs it to, presses his fingers gently but steadily through the wet body as it continuously spins and forming a hole that gradually widens evenly. Both his hands remain steady and covered with clay as he draws up gently to lengthen the sides. And as he does, he shoots looks to the camera, smirks and gets back to work. Sometimes his face can’t even be seen, and Steve wants to reach into the screen to lift up his chin so he can look into his eyes. Steve thinks he might be drooling. The work is so precise and yet Bucky seems to be doing it so casually, as if he woke up that morning and was like “sure, I’ll make a bowl”. He may well have because Bucky’s hair is rumpled and there’s little bits of clay in it from where he’s pushed back his hair. Even from the phone, Steve can see where parts of his bare skin have specks of clay water as he works.

He has to watch the same video four times at least because he finds himself too distracted and missing parts of the bowl progress by getting too caught up with Bucky’s eyes and general being. Then he scrolls and watches video after video of Bucky making cups and vases and jugs and even more bowls. Every single time that his fingers press into the clay, Steve thinks he's going to pass out. Steve clicks through to his profile and sees the address to his store in Brooklyn – Seize The Clay – just twenty minutes away from Steve's apartment. This got much harder.

Despite him spending at least two hours lying in bed and watching Bucky’s tiktoks, he doesn’t respond to any of the requests aside from liking a couple. Steve doesn’t know how he’s supposed to get the materials for this first of all because he knows it’s expensive to get kilns and he lives in a small apartment. He has no idea where he’d even put one unless he found a pottery place that would let him film in there. Not only that, he has no idea how he’s supposed to even follow along without blushing because Steve is already unable to look at Bucky directly on a recording. He just doesn’t know where to start so he just presses 'follow' and puts a pin in it.

Over the next few days, the tags keep coming and his algorithm shows him Bucky's videos constantly. People are desperate for Steve to replicate what they’re seeing Bucky do. People even want him to do it shirtless, which is it’s own set of problems with the prominent scar down his torso from heart surgery as a kid. Besides, in a duet next to Bucky, Steve is going to look even weedier. Urgh.

ACE

Her relationship with Ace is strong-like insanely strong.

Ace is the only other female figure in her life. Older at least.

Ace is like an older sister to Babygirl, and she teaches her things that her mother never got to teach her.

Babygirl loves Ace, and Ace loves her. They're always there for each other.

Ace is always comforting Baby because she always has something to cry about.

Which is sad but it's true.

The two gossip a lot, and Ace always cheers the younger girl up.

They nap together, put on makeup together, play dress up and everything.

(If you read the Ace lore Tilly wrote, you'd know Ace loves to dress up, but she doesn't as an instinct of survival)

Basically, the two are always with each other. It'd be weird if they weren't.

SODAPOP

OH WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN

Alongside Ace, Babygirl is always also with Soda.

They're locked in.

Soda always makes her laugh, and takes a big part in comforting her.

Soda + Ace + Babygirl = dream trio

They're always together.

Whenever Soda gets home from work, him and Baby either take a nap or Soda sits with her while she does her homework because Lord knows he can't help her.

The three of them have taken naps together. No doubt.

Soda and Baby watch cartoons with Ponyboy.

Whenever Baby's cooking, Soda tries to sneak in some food coloring into whatever she's making.

Babygirl always catches him.

They cry together.

Babygirl cries, Soda cries.

Soda cries, Babygirl cries.

It scares the gang when they do that.

But they know it's coming because Soda and Baby are the most in touch with their emotions.

It's safe to say, they are the best brother and sister duo out there.

TWO-BIT

Baby'a hype man fr

He's always trying to help Baby when it comes to boyfriends.

His advice isn't always the best or accurate but.. A for effort!

He always steals things for her, even though she tells him not to.

It's usually little things like rubber bracelets, rubber bouncy balls, candy and etc.

One time, he stole a little lined notebook for her birthday.

She takes it everywhere, either writing or drawing in it.

She loves that little book with all her heart.

Two-Bit takes her to the drive in, alongside Ace and Ponyboy.

Babygirl often keeps him out of starting anything with the Socs.

He often buys her snacks, even though she says she can buy it.

He never listens.

Two-Bit always keeps an eye on her: he feels the need to protect her from the Socs.

Even if it's Marcia or Cherry.

It's just this gut feeling he has.

The thing about Two-Bit, is that he isn't the smartest, but he's loyal as hell.

PONYBOY

The two of them were like twins when they were younger.

Since they were only a year apart, they did everything together.

They had a lot in common and liked a lot of the same things.

Unfortunately, when their parents died, they grew apart.

Babygirl overall grew apart from everyone but-thats a story for another time.

He misses when they were young, and desperately wishes he took advantage of those moments with her.

Now, Ponyboy and Babygirl are close. But not as much as before.

The two of them often sit in silence together, drawing or writing.

It's like that trend when your drawing/painting with someone, and you set a timer for 5 minutes, and once the timer is up you switch with whatever your working on.

You guys do that all the time.

No words, just the drawings the two share.

Every now and then, Babygirl and Pony have really heart felt and deep conversations.

One that usually ends in a hug or making each other laugh in order to boost up their spirits.

They both kind of have that same; quiet and shy mindset.

Which is one of the things that make them so similar.

DARRY

Darry loves Babygirl.

At first when their parents died, it was so hard for Darry to even be around her because she looked so much like their mom.

It mad Babygirl sad because she always thought Darry didn't like her, or that she was doing something wrong.

Sodapop talked some sense into him, and made him realize that he was making Babygirl's life even harder.

So he apologized, practically cried on his knees

(That sounds like an exaggeration but if you've seen Brent in the musical, omg)

The two are as thick as thieves now.

Babygirl helps with dinner, and of course the chores.

Whenever Ponyboy and Sodapop are goofing around and giving Darry a hard time, Baby always puts them in their places.

Like Ponyboy, the two of them always have those deep conversations.

because Darry wants to understand her- he wants her to feel heard.

Since Ponyboy and Sodapop share a room, Darry and Babygirl share a room.

Whenever Babygirl has a nightmare, Darry makes sure she's okay b before they go back to sleep.

because Darry loves her, and he'll be damned if anything happens to her.

STEVE

We all know Steve doesn't like kids.

And we see that through Ponyboy a lot of the time.

So Babygirl and Steve don't really talk all that much.

But when they do, Steve actually enjoys her gentle and quiet presence.

Even though he won't admit it.

He teaches her about cars and how to fix them.

So much so that she becomes really good at fixing and tinkering with them.

She knows how to change a tire, change oil- all that good stuff.

He was impressed with the amount of knowledge she was about to remember.

He lets her take snacks from the DX.

He genuinely cares for her, but just doesn't show it well.

DALLAS

Dallas is so protective of Babygirl.

Like Darry doesn't have to even ask him.

He will gladly protect this girl with his whole life.

Dallas teaches her how to fight, and where to go if the Soc's ever find her.

He teaches her how to be street smart. because Babygirl is only book smart.

She tries to remember, she really does, but it's just hard to.

Alongside Two-Bit, Dallas is always with Babygirl at the drive in.

She always has to watch him because he's always looking for trouble.

She's defended the Soc's a couple time (Cherry and Marcia)

He's surprised when she does that, and gets a little angry but ultimately lets it go because she's like a little sister to him.

Dallas thinks of Babygirl as his own flesh and blood.

She thinks of him the same way.

He'll walk her home if its a late night out, or patch her up if she ever get's jumped.

Especially so Darry doesn't find out, or at least worry that much.

Dallas is so good to her, and has a HUGE soft spot for her.

Like HUGEEE

Nobody in the gang had ever seen him like that, besides Johnny.

JOHNNY

Johnny and Babygirl often sit in silence together.

They either smoke, or Baby will draw him as best as she can.

He's so sweet to her

These two really love each other

Babygirl is like the sister Johnny never had

Johnny always makes Baby's day.

She'll hang out with him at school or at the lot.

She stays with him when his parents are fighting, and offers to take him to her and her brothers house.

There's this unspoken, understanding and love they have for each other.

It's perfect.

Babygirl has even protected Johnny from the Soc's a couple times.

Not in a physical sense, more like just getting them to back off.

Because Johnny doesn't deserve the things that happen to him

And Babygirl feels bad, because that is her brother.

Not by blood, but by heart and emotion.

"I have known a love that many never known, and that love lives on no matter where I go."

Fuyu takes good care of me. He's a bit strict, but I know it's because he cares. He always makes sure I drink water, eat, and brush my hair. He even does my hair up sometimes if he can get me to sit still. He let's me snuggle in his tails when I'm cold, and he draws with me too.

Captain Yami

He's big fun! I think it's funny when he teases me! He definitely scared me at first, but he's learned to be a bit more gentle. Not to say I don't enjoy running away from him when I "accidentally" annoy him a bit. It's all in good fun. He thinks it's funny when I'm sassy to rude people. And he laughs when I make up funny words or show him ugly plushies that I like! He's so much fun to be wif!

Tfp Optimus Prime

It took me a minute to understand him, given he doesn't show emotions, but I think we have a good understanding now. He always appreciates my drawings, and he makes sure I'm okay. He shows affection in his own way, and that's okay.

Gajeel

Another big fun guy! He's like a fun uncle to me! We like sharing our music tastes, and he lets me be adventurous! He also lets me be sassy to rude meany people. And he protects me from scary people. Ofc he does make sure I'm okay and that I'm taken care of. He is always there for me when I feel overstimulated. And doesn't mind watching little kid shows wif me.

Chuuya

Chuuya is nice because he lets me vent to him. He lets me play with his hair and put cute clips in his hair. And he wears the bracelets I make him. He loves Bluey just like me! We color together all the time, and he makes sure my bottle is filled. He buys my cute clothes and snacks! He very nice ❤️

Hisoka

Okay, I know this one is a bit sus, and I'm not sure how to justify this one Imma be honest. But he's pretty SFW around me (probably because I'm weak and he's into power). I like going shopping wif him! He pays for my crippling stuffie addiction lol. He thinks my gremlin behavior is funny, and he lets me bite his arm. He just laughs. Ofc I don't bite too hard. Basically, me bodyguard. He refuses to let me out of his sight. Doesn't mean I won't try heehee. He's definitely a bit more awkward with my regression, but that's okay. I think it's funny. He always makes sure I eat, sleep, and drink water. I think he secretly likes Bluey, though he'll never admit it lol. He takes board games very seriously. It's funny to watch. He's a good guy and is always trying his best.

The doctor is in (Fanfic)

New chapter from my main series 🩷

Pinocchio was in the waiting room, he had entered first to the appointment and was now waiting for his father, it had gone well, but Pinocchio decided he didn't want to come back, talking about his feelings is really hard for him, it's easier for him to write them down and makes him feel better. Although the doctor did help, giving him some guidance about how to express his feelings better in his writing, they also told him that it could work for him to vent his feelings in drawings, Pinocchio thought about it and it did sound like a good idea, he was even doing it right now, drawing something in his sketchbook.

He finished the drawing, it did make him feel a lot better, he should write his feelings more often; his father was still in there, Pinocchio was getting bored, kicking his feet a little while sitting in the chair, he got up from the chair and decided just to walk around a bit.

“Pinocchio this is a hospital you can't walk around here like it's nothing” Gemini chirped from his cage.

“I'll just go outside for some fresh air and will be back in a minute” Pinocchio was sick of just sitting, his father was taking way too long, and more than an hour and a half had passed.

Outside Pinocchio did just that, just staying for a few minutes and going back, but on his way, someone came out of one of the rooms, they looked like a stalker, Pinocchio tried to just walk back but the stalker followed him.

“Hey, I've seen you before,” The girl said with a sweet tone.

Pinnochio is starting to feel like a celebrity now but unlike his uncle Venigni, he doesn't like all the attention.

“At the stable, I've seen you a few times but you were there recently, I'm glad that your pony has such a good owner, Applejack looks so happy with you” Blue Canary can recognize most people who have bought horses from her family, and she can remember almost every horse by name.

Blue also recognizes Pinocchio's face, he looks a little like Carlo, they went to school together, but being a year older she barely saw him. She is not going to mention that, she doesn't want to make him feel uncomfortable with a reminder like that. She did spar with him and Romeo that one time, they were amazing at fighting.

“You know my pony?” Pinocchio has never seen this stalker before at the stable, but it's not like he pays much attention to anything besides his pony when he is in there.

“I sure do, my family owns the place and we want to make sure all the horses get good owners, so all of us try to keep track since there are so many” Blue extended her hand for a handshake, “But where are my manners? I am Blue Canary, a Bastard stalker”

Pinocchio shook her hand, as usual trying to not apply too much force.

“It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss. Blue Canary but this boy has to go back and wait for his father” Gemini was insistent, Pinocchio needs to remember that his father gets stressed about places like this.

“My apologies for taking your time” Blue is very polite, as her family has taught her, “It was a pleasure”

Before leaving, Pinocchio wanted to make her feel nice, so he made the stalker's promise, Blue was surprised but she smiled and did the gesture as well.

Pinocchio went back to the waiting room, just in time as his father came out of the doctor's office just a minute later. They exited the building together and since it was Saturday, they decided to spend time together outside as a family.

“So um father” Pinocchio wasn't sure how to ask, “Are you okay now?”

“Well son it's not that simple” Although Geppetto wishes that it was, “It's something hard you have to work for, like how you struggle with what happened when you were fighting”

Pinocchio then hugged his father, he wanted to give him more words of encouragement but nothing came to mind, he was a little afraid that whatever he said could come out wrong and make his father feel upset, so he hugged him tightly.

A little too tightly.

“Son…” Geppetto was struggling to get the words out, “I can't…breathe”

Pinocchio stopped and started apologizing, Geppetto caught his breath and composed himself.

“You are very precious” Geppetto gave him a faint smile, “Let's do anything you want today, you deserve it”

Blue Canary saw them as they were leaving, her small break was over and she needed to head back to Dr. Frederick's office. She saw a man dressed completely in black leaving the office, his clothes almost looked like alchemist apparel but that couldn't be right, all alchemists fled Krat after everyone discovered what they were doing.

“Keep staying outside, I will tell you when to come in if a patient is going to be difficult”

“Yes sir”

A few moments of silence passed, Dr. Frederick writing down a few notes and prescriptions.

“Miss. Cassandra, tell me, are you religious?”

“Yes, I am” Blue didn’t understand where the question was coming from.

“Would you mind accompanying me to the Cathedral tomorrow night? It’s the only time I can go and you know how dangerous it can be at night”

At night… She is a little afraid of the dark because of what happened years ago but she can get over it, she needs to, she is a stalker and has to be brave, plus she has her belt lights and her lantern shield can reflect the light of the moon and the doctor is right, it’s dangerous at night, just yesterday another dead body was found, the intestines had been taken out.

“Of course, I can sir” She exclaimed eagerly.

“Good, I understand that we mustn’t work on Sundays as written in the bible, but think of it more as enjoying the mass with me, although obviously, I do plan to financially compensate you” Frederick has that little stun memorized, it is so easy to trick religious fools.

Blue smiled, maybe Dr. Frederick can be a little intimidating but maybe that’s on her mind, he takes his job seriously and he is a man of faith and science, a good combination for wanting to help others.

“Now, my patient will arrive soon, so keep your guard outside, will you?”

Blue left the room and Frederick was left alone, he took a deep breath.

He needs to check the process of the experiment taking place in the St. Frangelico Cathedral, Frederick knows that doing their operations in a place as crowded as the Cathedral is risky, but the people of Krat are stupid, they still think Andreus is a martyr, not even knowing how his greed consumed him, or how it turned him into a monster.

And history repeats itself because the new bishop is accepting generous donations and they don’t ask questions about their activities, although there was that nun who kept staring at him that one time he was going to the underground area, but it’s just a dumb nun, she looked so clueless.

Frederick started cleaning his office again; he cleans his office five times a day, but another one could help and his patient still hadn’t arrived. People have no idea how easily dust accumulates, he hates dust more than anything, he hates uncleanliness. He had his doubts about hiring the girl as his bodyguard, but she is a clean person, better than most and she doesn’t complain when he makes her clean alongside him. He expected her to not even know how to pick up a broom, the Lucero’s are one of the richest families in Krat, more wealthy than his family.

The only people wealthier than them in Krat are Antonia and Lorenzini. Ugh, just thinking about them annoys him, Lorenzini is the richest and the most insufferable man in Krat, never knows when to shut up, always has to say how much of a genius he is, he has to be the center of attention everywhere he goes, why does anybody even like him? He can’t believe how many people are his loyal fans. Antonia on the other hand, that’s more than anything personal as the old woman has no idea of the gold mine that she has inside Hotel Krat, and he isn’t just referring to the gold fruitcoin tree, and what can lie in the Relic of Trismegistus, but all that knowledge hidden in what was once the underground section, the secrets of that now abandoned castle.

Not for long, as he plans to do something about that.

At least he can put Lorenzini in his place, Frederick doesn’t doubt that Arlecchino is already taunting him, it was easy to bring that stupid puppet back. He found its body in Arche Abby, the spear still stuck to his body and just as he suspected, as he was bound to it, it still held a little of his Ergo, and bringing him back was easy, in that state he wouldn’t be able to kill properly so sent one of his men to fix him up, he wonders if those engineers at the union had any idea of what they were repairing, if they knew how many would die by such a simple act.

Frederick knows better than to just let Arlecchino run completely free, so he is bound to him, he cannot harm him and to ensure his quiet, he did a little magic trick, he is physically unable to reveal anything about him. So Arlecchino is just wandering around doing his little art projects and the people of Krat are too busy focusing on that, its all the news is talking about, the gruesome murders, it's disgusting, not because he cares about those people but because that idiotic puppet is so messy with his deeds, when Frederick murders someone he knows better than to leave a mess or make a mess of any activity makes.

But a distraction is a distraction and progress is going well, Frederick knows that the experiment that lies in the cathedral is all but finished, but for now, he must wait until tomorrow to see that his expectations have been met and they better be, he would rather work alone this requires help and those other fools better not screw up this, although at least they are more loyal to him that they ever were to Simon, first of all, he is actually good at being charismatic unlike Simon who was an awful actor, people either followed Simon because they feared him or if they were delusional like Adriana and saw him as a god.

Second, his family. Generations and generations of doctors, people dedicated to helping others, even back when Krat was an unimportant dump. As for him, he has managed to make his family's name even greater, he is a true doctor. Not one that sells fake cures or promises you things will be okay, he is realistic and methodical, he gets the results, and because he puts those feelings aside he can always know or understand what is wrong with a patient, not to mention how most doctors tend to stick into one particular subject, on the other hand, he is constantly researching, why wouldn't he? It's part of his main goal.

Immortal Life.

Not the fake immortal life Simon was offering, Frederick knew from the start what Simon's true goal was, just after meeting Sophia Monad once, that girl was shining with power, and the way Simon looked at her, lusting over that power… and more than that. Valentinus was such a fool for not seeing the truth that was right in front of him. But it was clear as day Simon wanted to become a god and in secret, he found a few secrets about the man, secrets about his past, and it all made sense. At the very least Valentinus being a fool was what made Simon the new leader and all that data they collected while under him was extremely valuable in his research.

Frederick has no reason to become a god, he might be arrogant but not so much that it will be his undoing, not to mention how history proves time and time again that trying to become a god is something all humans are doomed to fail. Immortal Life on the other hand, now that's possible, has been done before, however, it tends to have its… drawbacks, what is the point of having an immortal life if you cannot enjoy it? Processes like that end up turning you into a monster. The philosopher's stone is different, special.

The man stood up for a moment, looking at himself in a pocket mirror, his green eyes shining brightly, his face already started to look younger and those tests were not even the real power, once he has the stone, it will reveal the true potential of the human body, what it can do beyond its limits. There was a knock on the door, his thoughts being interrupted as he let the next patient inside.

At the Bastard Stalker’s head office, some of them were giving their reports of their current missions, Blue had just arrived and showed how things had been going with her client.

“So you had to kick out a few rude patients and accompany him to a party? What hard work is the little princess doing” Said a woman with a Lion Mask.

“Not only that but he is paying you well, more than what any of us is getting paid” A young man spoke up, one with a Tiger Mask, “Aren’t you just so lucky? As if you needed the money”

“Um” Blue didn’t want to be rude to her superiors but she didn’t like their hypocrisy, “But all of us come from wealthy families, just as all other bastard stalkers”

“Watch your mouth Blue,” said a female voice, a stalker with a Sabertooth Mask got close to her, “Looks like you can’t take just a little bit of teasing”

Blue rolled her eyes, she wasn’t fond of them, “The Pride” as they called themselves, acting just as petty school bullies, as if they were dumb school popular kids, Sabertooth is their leader and her little followers are Lion, Tiger, and…

“Yeah, Blue you are no fun at all!”

Rusty. Because she has the mask of a Rusty Spotted Cat.

“I take my job seriously” Blue was frustrated, she even pointed dramatically at Rusty, “And why is this child a stalker again?”

The little girl was smiling under her mask, “Because I’m strong and capable, I think the little birdie is just jealous that I’m more skilled than her, afraid we might eat you?”

Again with that dumb joke.

“You always want others not to underestimate you Blue” Sabertooth had a smug grin, “Why is it any different with Rusty?”

“It’s clear that you are just jealous” Tiger Made a mocking voice.

And Lion joined in, “The horse princess is jealous, what a sight!”

“I’m not” Blue was furious now, “Being a stalker is dangerous and serious, a child shouldn’t be a stalker”

But they didn’t listen to her and just made fun of her again, they don’t care about being stalkers, they care more about the fame that comes with it. Blue can’t deny their skills and The Pride is recognized with good reason, yet if the public knew that this is how they acted they would lose their support. At the end of the day, they are just spoiled brats.

“Well here is my report, I must go back home”

“Be careful Blue, it’s dark outside, you better not start cowering in fear” Sabertooth mocked her one last time before she left, “Better not let the pretty ponies your family owns get too sad without you”

Blue Canary took a deep breath and left; the rest of them kept talking.

“You all heard right?” Sabertooth had a serious tone now, “About Red Fox and Black Cat going solo?”

“I always knew Fox was a traitor” Lion never liked her to begin with.

“Not only that but did you hear she disowned her family? It should have been the other way around” Tiger can’t understand why anyone would leave a wealthy family like the Volfe’s.

“All because of her dumb lost brother, how ridiculous” Lion was also in disbelief, how stupid, they must be struggling by themselves. But as it turns out, despite truly being a lost brother, the Volfe family refused to accept that, because confessing to an affair and a child as a result of that would be disgraceful to the family.

“I don't know guys…” Rusty said in a playful tone, “Maybe she was all lonely without a sibling, that's why she was too desperate to have one” She giggled and the others found it amusing.

“Dumb as she and her brother are, this is serious” Sabertooth grabbed her weapon and slammed it on the floor to make them get serious, even if she loves to mock others, now it’s not the time.

“They are going solo and doing well, not only that but that strange stalker with the Mastiff Dog Mask who recently appeared is neither Bastard nor Sweeper. This is bad”

“Bad as in how?” Lion wasn’t taking her seriously, “Only three of them, not a big deal”

“And they are doomed to fail” Tiger crossed his arms, “Only one ever worked out, the Legendary Stalker and no one knows where she is”

“Don’t sweat it Tooth, nothing bad will happen~” Rusty joined with the others, because she always joins with what the majority is thinking.

“That better be the case, although…” Sabertooth grabbed her blade again and examined the sharpness, “Perhaps we need to remind them why you don’t cross the Bastards”

“Am I going crazy, Pulcinella? I heard him, it was his voice but that can’t be”

Pulcinella couldn’t hear the voice from the other line and it didn’t help that they hung up the phone as soon as the words were said.

“I am aware that the young master got rid of Arlecchino” Pulcinella was puzzled as well this shouldn’t be possible.

“Was it a prank call? But no one is supposed to know, it was covered despite my best efforts” The public is still not aware of the truth of his parent's death and after the frenzy happened, Venigni didn’t think it was a good idea to reveal the truth, considering the tense situation, he didn’t want any more hostility against puppets.

“If it was a cruel prank call, it must have been an alchemist, as they might be the only ones to know the truth” Pulcinella wants to believe that is the real reason, to think that manic is back…

“I know, I know that you are probably right but,” Venigni was shaking, “That serial killer that’s been out there, the one in the news, Arlecchino was a serial killer, he…”

Venigni was having trouble speaking this was too much for him.

“It might be a copycat killer”

But if it’s a copycat, how do they know the truth? How do they know that Arlecchino was responsible? Every possibility that has been suggested just gives them more questions.

“Maybe it was just the stress of remembering that night, maybe I really am going crazy but Pulcinella my friend please” Venigni grabbed Pulcinella’s shoulders, “Can you look into this for me?”

Pulcinella knows this will be no easy task, but anything for his master Venigni and this is personal to him as well, he won’t anyone torment him about this any longer.

“I will, you have my word that I will get to the bottom of this”

Venigni was still tense, he trusted Pulcinella but this entire situation was making him too overwhelmed. He even canceled all of his work duties, as he had a few meetings to attend, saying that he was feeling ill, although it was true, as this situation was making him physically sick.

“I also believe it’s best we inform Pinocchio of this,” Pulcinella said, “And Geppetto as well, but for now, please get some rest, for your own sake Master Venigni”

Pulcinella is right, it’s best that he just rests, maybe some beauty sleeping will do him some good.

Day 29: MLP OC

This is Trinket the unicorn! Made her for this challenge and wow is the MLP style hard to get down. Big props to all them out there drawing this stuff all the time.

I really liked MLP as a kid but never got into the fandom stuff. My friend was much deeper in than I was and used to info dump the lore to me. She also used to send me home with “MLP homework” like draw a pony or watch a specific video lmao. Really cute show, it’s a shame that it’s known for the nasty part of its fandom, but it’s still great.

I made her a cutie mark backstory lmao. It’s below <3

Trinket has a little antique shop filled with all sort of bobbles and doohickeys. If you want to buy anything though, she will sit you down and tell you everything she knows about it. You aren’t allowed to leave until you listen to the whole story. She got into collecting when her grandmother died. She didn’t know her very well and didn’t see the point in keeping any of her stuff, even if her mom wanted to. To try and get her interested, her mom gave her a locket with a key hole and told her to look for the key. Bored, but playing along, Trinket rummaged a bit before finding a small key. Upon opening the locket, a small picture of the grandfather she’d never met fell out. He looked young and handsome and next to him was her grandmother, looking at him with nothing but love in her eyes. Trinket immediately felt guilty, realizing how many stories would be lost had she trashed all of these items. The rest of the day she looked through the boxes, emerging from the attic with the locket on her flank. <3 she keeps the real one in her bag, wrapped in a tissue so it doesn’t get damaged.

-Chronically bad vision. All of them. And I think it goes " Ignores it->Contacts-Glasses" in that order (Oldest to youngest)

-They all enjoy different types of art, and will support eachother constantly in the matter. I also believe it goes painting/sewing->doodling/drawing->Writing (same order)

-Ponyboy makes good money when he's older and is able to send Darry into a very early retirement 🥲

-Darry gets a father's day breakfast in bed every year. Even if he isn't their father, they want to appreciate him in some way+ also honor the tradition they had with their actual dad when he was alive.

-Whenever Darry shows up to parent/teacher meetings or just any school event he gets hit on by all the moms, and Ponyboy is absolutely MORTIFIED. Darry thinks it's funny and sometimes he plays into it a little. Just to irk pony more.

-Introvert(good with people)->Extrovert(Bad with people)->Ambivert. (same order)

-I like to think Soda introduced Dally to the gang, and that both Pony and Darry thought they were dating, and were like "It's alright if you...ya know. but..him?" Soda had to defend his life against these allegations but everyone ended up liking salt a whole lot anyway.

-The Curtis Brothers have "family meetings" where it's just the three of them sitting around a table and complaining about each other for like twenty minutes straight 😭 sometimes other members of gang will be there and when they try to speak during the meeting, all three of the brothers will turn on them.

-Soda spent two whole days being consoled and comforted because he was crying over some dumb broad(it was Steve) and I think both Darry and Ponyboy knew this but to make Soda feel better they'd just stick with the lie.

-Darry can cook, and Ponyboy can bake and soda does a damn good job with the dishes so sometimes when they're all feeling up for it, meals are heavenly. Dinner, then dessert, then a movie.

-They're all super competitive, so everything's a competition. Who can brush their teeth the fastest, who can finish their meals faster, who can get to the car first.

-Ponyboy loves books and reading, as we've come to learn, so his optimal gift for any holiday or event is just books. His Christmas list? Books he wants. He enjoys this because it's inexpensive, good entertainment, easily attainable, and something he actually enjoys.

-When soda and Darry were little(Pony was just a baby) they would blame everything on pony 😭 stuff on the wall? How'd pony get a marker? A mess in the kitchen? Who left pony alone? This backfired once pony was old enough to speak and started rating them out for every conceivable thing they could do, even when they werent doing anything wrong. "Mama, Darry got himself a glass of water." "Mama, Sodas coloring. What? No not on the wall. Just in his notebook but,"

-Never Cries->Cries over everything->Cries when it matters(Same order)

-If Darry comes home after a hard day and Pony and Soda knew it was a hard day, sometimes there will be a bath drawn and a nice clean house and a half-decent dinner on the table. They really care about him but it's so hard to show it.

the three definitely make everything a competition, they totally do. they’re just boys lmao also pony with glasses UGHHHH I NEED TO DRAW ITTT-y’all need to stop diving me art ideas (don’t it’s actually really fun and keeps art block away-but also i love how the fandom just agrees soda is a huge crybaby-them blaming everything on baby pony is so real, pony doesn’t even know how to write and soda has clear ink on his hands from drawing on the walls and all fingers go to pony who’s probably sitting there drooling on himself because he’s 1 😭 also the moms fully being 20-30+ his. senior is so funny to me because they’ll ask for his age and he’s like ‘i’m 20’ and they��re like 😨”-also them being artsy AHH-you’re gonna make me fall more in love with those dumbasses
