Who's Most Likely? - Kylian Mbappe x Reader

Summary: PSG's Youtube channel decides to test Y/N's, Kylian's and Neymar's friendship with a quiz that will lead to some cute moments. Their video also reveals something that will change Y/N's and Kylian's life forever. Warning: fluff and light emotional moment. Word Count: 4.3k

Y/N sat in between her two dorky best friends, ready to film a video for the team's Youtube channel. She felt kind of nervous because that was her first time on camera with the guys since they became close friends. When Y/N started her job at PSG as the assistant coach after moving to Paris, she didn't have any friends. She grew close with the guys during training days, lunch breaks or when traveling with the team. 

As their relationship progressed, they started hanging out outside of work to the point where it's normal for them to drive to one another's house and just hang out all day or sleepover. However, Y/N always felt a stronger connection with Kylian but she never acted on it, afraid she would ruin the friendship. Besides, she was the person Kylian would talk to about a girl he would date or hook up with, this confirmed to Y/N that he only sees her as a sister. He was physically affectionate towards her, hugging her when laughing, kissing her forehead when saying good morning or goodbye at training, but she never took it as a sign considering Neymar's has the same attitude towards her. That's just their friendship behavior.

People seemed to notice their friendship since the beginning, especially after the paparazzi photos of them entering clubs at night, chasing each other in the training field. They all posted each other on their stories regularly when they would scare each other or catch someone sleeping in unusual places. Birthday posts for each other also contained a lot of detailed wishes, indicating they know each other on personal notes.

"Okay, we will start shooting in a second once the lighting is fixed, get ready everyone." The man behind the camera shout out, Y/N shifted in her seat a little bit out of nervousness. 

"Don't be nervous, we'll have fun." Kylian noticed her and placed a hand on her thigh, making her shiver from the skin contact because she was wearing a dress.

"I know, but, I'm just a little nervous. It's the first time we talk about each other on camera, Ky."

"Let's make a bet, guys. Whoever loses this game is going to do whatever the winner will tell them to do for 24 hours." Neymar said, catching Kylian's and Y/N's attention. 

"Yeah, that sounds fun, I'm in." 

"Yeah, me too, because I just KNOW I'm going to win. I know you boys like the back of my hand."

They all shook hands on it, laughing at their dumb bet. The man behind the camera caught their attention again, starting the count down for record.

The video started with them trying to keep a serious face but failing and laughing at each other when they would each introduce themselves. These bloopers cuts were funny so they made it in the final video as the intro.

"Okay, for the third time. Hi, I'm Neymar." He smiled and looked at Y/N for her to continue.

"Hi guys, I'm Y/N Y/L/N."

"Hello, I'm Kylian Mbappe and we are about to do a friendship quiz game to test how well we know each other." Kylian smiled and the video slid to Y/N's words.

"The first round consists of a couple of questions about each of us and we'll have to write down the answer in our white boards. Who ever gets the question right, gets a point."

They all looked at the screen behind the camera that showed them the first question, Y/N read it out loud for the video.

"What is Neymar's first tattoo?"

They all wrote down their answers. Y/N smiled while writing it because she was confident in her answer, Kylian seemed sceptical with his answer. They all turned around their boards and Y/N raised her hands in the air, laughing, after seeing she wrote down the same answer Neymar did for himself.

"YES, I knew it. It was your mom's and sister's name."

Kylian on the other hand wrote down something random, hoping he would randomly guess it right. The next question was read by Neymar.

"Which club did Kylian Mbappe play for first?" 

Both Y/N and Neymar were confident in their answer because it was pretty obvious. Once the boards were turned around, they all revealed the right answer. Kylian read the next question.

"What was Y/N's first job?"

Y/N smiled at the flashbacks of her first job. She used to be a bartender while she was in college. She was sure Kylian would get this question right because a memory from their first months of their friendship popped into her mind. That night, she sat with Kylian in the balcony of his apartment, talking about her life while sitting on a couch under the same blanket with him while Neymar was fast asleep in the living room. That was the exact moment she realized her feelings towards Kylian, especially after she fell asleep with her head on his chest.

They all turned their boards around once again and Kylian did his significant laugh after getting the questions right. 

"I got it right. Btw, you suck, Ney." Neymar reached over to Kylian to lightly smack his head with the board and Kylian hid his head behind Y/N's shoulder, making her laugh along.

"Okay, that's enough, you two." Y/N placed her arms on both of their shoulders, pretending to separate a fight.

There were a few more other questions and Kylian got most of them right, putting him in the lead. The last question caused Y/N to momentarily zone out and blush. Neymar read the question.

"Where does Y/N see herself in five years?"

This was such a specific question she, herself, didn't even know the right answer to. A lot of things went through her mind, trying to write down the closest right answer. She considered her career, her family goals and that's where she stopped. A family. She always wanted to create a family and have her first kid in her mid twenties. Being a mom was always one of her aspirations. She hesitantly wrote down 'being a mom' and held the board close to her chest, waiting her the guys to reveal theirs.

Both of them wrote down something different. Neymar wrote 'traveling the world', earning a 'uuu, interesting' from Y/N and Kylian wrote 'being successful'. Seeing that the guys went in a completely different direction, she regretted what she wrote but slowly revealed the right answer.

She looked at Kylian who smiled warmly at her, making her more comfortable. Neymar awed and wrapped his arm around Y/N' shoulder.

"That's a good one. Being a parent is the best feelings ever." Neymar said with a passion.

Kylian was still quiet, staring at Y/N with admiration. He looked like he was daydreaming about something.

"I'm sure, you'll be an amazing mom" Kylian's words came out in a whisper and Y/N smiled at him. Y/N's feelings of wanting to be a mom grew more in that second. A quick family picture of her, Kylian and a small little baby flashed in front of her eyes.

"Alright, the last round is the 'Who's most likely' game. This round doesn't really determine a winner, so we'll just have fun with it." Neymar's words brought Y/N and Kylian back to reality, making them break the loving eye contact and look at him.

"And since Kylian got the most right answers on the previous round, we'll consider him the winner." Y/N said and Kylian proudly smiled, raising his hands in the air.

A man came from behind the camera and handed each of them three cardboards with their names, so they can reveal their answer by showing a card.

"Alright, who's most likely to be late for work?" Y/N read the question at loud and all of them showed the card with Neymar's name. He had to admit this himself because of all the scolding he receives from his friends. 

"Who's most likely to have a crush on someone from work?"

Y/N froze, feeling like the question was directed towards her. No matter how much she tried to play it cool, she failed because of how Neymar looked at her and Kylian, smirking like an idiot.

Kylian and Y/N blushed, looking away from each other. "Come on, guys, we all know the answer to that one," Neymar said, laughing.

"Can I raise two cards?" He proudly said and raised the cards with Y/N's and Kylian's name.

Kylian slightly coughed and looked at him, giving him a death glare. Y/N was unable to give an answer because the tension in the room was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

"Come on, man. Just because you have a girlfriend, doesn't mean we have crushes from work." After Kylian said those words, he realized how ridiculous and stupid that answer was.

"Yeah... Yeah," Y/N said, chuckling. " I don't really have an answer for this one, but I'll just say Ky."

"I'll say Y/N too, even though you haven't told us about any crushes." They all laughed, but Y/N and Kylian were a little too loud.

Another question showed up on the screen behind them and Y/N wasted no time to read it so they could move on from the uncomfortable situation. Kylian thought the same thing because he read the question with Y/N simultaneously. He stopped mid sentence and smiled at her, motioning for her to continue.

“Who’s most likely to get jealous easily?” “NEYMAR!” Y/N and Kylian said in an unbothered tone. They all laughed at their response, remembering all the times when Neymar would vent to them about a jealous situation with his girlfriend. “Alright, alright. Guilty as charged!” Neymar playfully raised his hands in the air. ”Next question, who’s most likely to say “I’m sorry” more often?” 

The guys looked at Y/N direction and then gave each other an agreeing look. They both showed the card with Y/N’s name. Y/N knows that she over-apologizes a lot because she is more self aware than most people are, and she addresses situations honestly regardless of her own pride.

“Yeah, that’s true. I’m a people pleaser and I tend to apologize about everything, even the things I don’t have power over, honestly.” Kylian looked at her, admiring her. He knew this was one of her personality traits and he tries to ask as little favors from her as possible because she always goes out of her way to make people happy. Anytime he asks her to do a small thing for her, he feels like he’s taking advantage of her precious soul.

“Yeah, you do that a lot. You need to stop doing it with me… I mean us, though.” Kylian stuttered while talking, making Neymar chuckle.

“Who’s most likely to fall in love at first sight?” Neymar read the question and waited for them to react first.

Y/N could swear she felt Kylian brush his shoulder against her, but didn’t dare to look at her. He smiled and raised the card with his name and didn’t say anything. The whole situation felt like a dream to her because she was sure Kylian only saw her as a friend.  Neymar raised the card with Kylian’s name too. Y/N thought of doing the same so it would seem like she’s only repeating their answers but she didn’t. She took a chance to give Kylian an indirect signal that, in fact, she is the one who fell in love at first sight. She slowly raised the card with her name and smiled, trying to hide the fact that her hands were shaking.

“Hmm, is there anything you guys would like to SHARE with your other FRIEND?” Neymar pretended to be mad and unaware of the meaning behind their answers. He actually knew exactly what they were saying. He felt a connection between them since they first started hanging out together. He kept his thoughts a secret, not wanting to intervene in their love story, because he found it very pure and innocent. 

Kylian and Y/N both laughed, unsure of what to do next after their ‘confessions’. As if on cue, the director gave them the signal to give their outros, letting them know the video is over. Y/N took over the outro.

“So, this is everything we have for you today. I hope you enjoyed the video and we proudly announce that Kylian is the most true friend because he guessed most of the questions right.” They all chuckled and Kylian put a hand around her shoulder.”Thank you to everyone for watching, we’ll see you next time. Have a nice day.” 

Neymar also wrapped his arm around Y/N and they waved at the camera in a group hug, yelling ‘bye’.

“That was FUN!” Neymar said and looked at his two best friends, winking at them. “Let’s go grab lunch.”

Y/N and Kylian followed behind Neymar, staring at each other from time to time and smiling. Kylian placed a quick kiss on Y/N’s forehead and walked with his hand around her shoulder. This would normally cause the people to turn their heads and take a look, but this was already a typical behavior between the all three of them, even though Kylian and Y/N felt a spark anytime they had a physical touch moment. Sometimes, Kylian would get jealous if Y/N would fall asleep on Neymar’s shoulder on the plane because he always wants to have her close to him.

After the video was uploaded to YouTube, the fans immediately noticed the flirty moments between Kylian and Y/N. They commented on the video, asking if the two were secretly dating or if there was something more between them. Kylian and Y/N avoided the conversation about the video as much as possible. It wasn’t unusual for them to see fan edits about them being a couple before they did the Youtube video. People speculated about their relationship by referring to their Instagram stories featuring each other or paparazzi photos that caught them hugging during practice. There was even a trending Twitter hashtag that said ‘#KyY/N’.Twitter was filled with posts that stated different conspiracy theories about how they’ve been together for years now or they are already married. 

Y/N was laying on the couch at Neymar’s place while Neymar sat next to her head with his feet on the table, playing Fifa. They were waiting for Kylian to arrive at the movie night they planned yesterday. 

“Y/N” Neymar spoke while staring at the TV. “Hmm?” Y/N hummed, not paying full attention to Neymar and still scrolled on her phone. “Why don’t you admit to Kylian that you’re in love with him?” Even though Neymar said is to casually, his words caused Y/N to shoot right up and look at him. “What? What.. What do you mean?” The first thing that went through her mind was change. She felt scared of how her feelings could cause things to change between them, especially if Kylian decides to stay away from her once he finds out.

“Y/N, honey. It’s pretty clear to everyone. You always feel shy around him and anytime you stare at him you get distracted and look like a creepy person in love.”

She chuckled at his words, still unable to process the fact that Neymar made it clear to her how bad she hid her feelings this whole time.” And, uh, by everyone, do you also mean Kylian?” “I don’t know if he knows, sweetheart. But, you have to talk to him anytime soon, you can’t hide it from him anymore.”

“Ney, It's easy to say that. But, what if he doesn’t feel the same way and things get weird between us and we lose our friendship because of this?”  Y/N sighed and plopped her head back on the pillow and Neymar placed a on her head, stroking her hair.

"That's just a risk you'll have to take, honey. Do you love him?"

"That's not the issue, my feelings are not the issue here.”

"Yeah, but It's also hard to move on knowing it could've worked out if you confessed to him, do you ever think that? It's not just the lost relationships that hurt, also the missed chances hurt the same."

A knock on the door stopped their conversation, Kylian was here. Y/N went to open the door and let Kylian inside.

“Hi, sweetheart.”He hugged her and kissed her forehead.

“Hey, Ky. What took you so long?”

“Ugh, I had to stop by an-” Kylian was stopped mid sentence by Neymar who came to the door before Y/N could shut it close. “Hey, guys. I have an important thing to finish right now, but don’t worry I’ll be back in an hour.” He said and grabbed the keys from the bowl on the counter.

“Alright, man. Don’t be late.” Kylian yelled as he made his way to the living room and Y/N stood there holding the half-open door, already knowing what was going on.

“Don’t worry, man.” Neymar yelled back and winked at Y/N giving her a quick peck on her cheek. “Good luck. Don’t be scared.” “NO, Ney, don’t l-” Before Y/N could finish her sentence, Neymar walked out. She sighed and closed her eyes, leaning against the door. The realization that this moment will determine everything about their relationship made her feel scared. She wasn’t going to back out now, especially after the whole act Neymar put up to leave them alone.

Each step she took towards the living room increased her heart rate. Kylian sat on the couch where Neymar sat previously, looking more handsome than ever. She always found Kylian most attractive when he wore gray sweatpants and white shirt. She admired his smooth skin and dark almost black eyes and his soft thin lips. She dreamed about kissing those lips almost every night.

“Um, are you going to stand there the whole time, hun?” He turned around to look at her, sensing her presence behind him the whole time.

“Haha, you pick the movie, I will get the snacks from the kitchen.” Y/N said and made her way to the kitchen to buy herself some time and think of how she is going to confess her feelings to him.

Y/N made her way to the couch and sat next to him. The only source of light was the TV and the city lights illuminating the living room. Kylian seemed too focused on the movie, unaware of what was about to come next. He noticed Y/N had been quiet for quite a while. She always comments on the movie and says stuff like ‘I hate that outfit’ or ‘It’s so obvious,COME ON’. He reached for the TV remote and paused the movie, turning his body around so he could face her. She looked very beautiful and fragile to him in the almost dark room, but he could tell that she was zoned out completely.

"What's wrong, Y/N?" Kylian asked, his voice laced with concern.

This moment felt like a dangerous chess move that could determine everything. Kylian stared at her frowned face and her hands cracking her knuckles, not daring to look at him. He knew when anxiety threatened to consume her, her delicate fingers would twist and turn until they were tied in knots. In those moments of despair, he would gently unravel her trembling hands and interlace his fingers with hers, offering the comfort of his warm touch to ease her worries.

As Kylian's strong hands held hers, Y/N felt her heart skip a beat. His gaze was so intense, so loving, that she felt completely exposed. She knew she had to tell him the truth, but the words caught in her throat.

Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes as she struggled to find the right words. She couldn't bear the thought of losing him and the realization hit her.

"Kylian, I-" she began, her voice barely a whisper.

He leaned in closer, his eyes searching hers for any sign of what she was about to say. She took a deep breath, gathering her courage. 

"I have to tell you something," she began, her voice trembling with emotion. "I've been thinking about it for so long, since that video of the three of us was posted. I knew then that it was time."

As she spoke, Y/N's heart raced with anticipation. She knew that the man standing before her was the one she had been searching for her whole life, and she couldn't bear the thought of losing him.

With each word she spoke, she took in every detail of his face, from the soft curve of his lips to the gentle tiny curls of his hair. She wanted to remember every moment of this, in case it was the last time he would hold her hands.

For a moment, there was only silence between them, as they both stood there, lost in their own thoughts. Then, slowly, Kylian reached out and took her hand in his.

"Whatever it is you have to say, Y/N, I'm listening," he said, his voice low and gentle.

With a deep breath, Y/N looked into his eyes once more, then spoke the words that would change their lives forever. "I love you," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I've loved you from the moment I met you, and I know that nothing will ever change that. I know that by saying this I could lose you forever, but I can’t change my feelings towards you. No matter how much I tried."

As Y/N gazed at Kylian, time seemed to slow down and her heart raced with anticipation. She knew that she had to say it, to reveal the truth that had been weighing on her heart for so long. And so, with trembling lips and a quivering voice, she confessed her love to him.

But Kylian's reaction was not what she expected. He stood there, frozen, as if he had been struck by a bolt of lightning. His eyes searched hers, as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing.

For a few moments, there was only silence, broken only by the sound of Y/N's heartbeat pounding in her chest. She felt guilty and regretful, thinking that she had made a mistake by revealing her feelings to him.

But then, Kylian spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. "Wow, Y/N, I..." he trailed off, still in shock.

Y/N couldn't bear the tension any longer, and tears began to stream down her face as she stood up and turned away from him. "Please, Ky," she said, her voice breaking. "You don't have to say anything. Just forget that I ever said anything."

Kylian stood up too, his eyes never leaving her. He took a step towards her, his hands outstretched, but Y/N backed away, unable to meet his gaze.

In that moment, Kylian felt a rush of happiness and excitement. He had secretly loved Y/N for so long, and now she had finally confessed her feelings to him. He knew that he had to find the right words to say to her, to let her know that he felt the same way.

As he took another step towards her, his heart beating wildly in his chest, he spoke softly. "Y/N, don't walk away from me. I want to hold you,please."

Kylian reached out to cup her cheeks, his touch tentative at first but growing bolder as she leaned into him.

"Come here," he murmured, and she obeyed, allowing him to lead her to the couch where they sat a moment ago.

Kylian held her face gently in his hands, his forehead pressed against hers as they shared a moment of deep intimacy. They breathed together, their bodies and souls intertwining in a way that left them both trembling with emotion.

And then Y/N spoke, her voice trembling with emotion. "Kylian-"

But he silenced her with a gentle shush, his eyes still closed as he focused on the sensation of her skin against his.

"Let's breathe first, sweetheart," he whispered, and she nodded, trusting him completely.

"I'm sorry, Y/N," he continued, his voice low and hoarse with emotion. "I'm sorry for not being the one to say these words to you first.” As Y/N opened her eyes, she felt a glimmer of hope. It was as if the world around her had suddenly been painted in the brightest of colors, like in those vintage cartoon movies she used to watch as a child. Her heart fluttered as she gazed into his deep, mesmerizing eyes. With a small smile, she lifted her forehead from his and took a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief wash over her.

As she exhaled, he leaned in, his own smile growing wider and wider until he finally attached his lips to hers. It was a moment that felt like it had been a lifetime in the making, and as their lips moved in perfect harmony, they both knew that this was where they belonged.

Kylian's heart was racing as he pulled away from the kiss, his eyes searching for hers. With a gentle touch, he brushed his lips against her forehead, his fingers lightly caressing her skin. He felt a surge of emotions, an overwhelming feeling that he had kept buried for too long.

He took a deep breath, summoning all his courage. "I can't believe I'm finally saying these words out loud," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "I love you, Y/N."

Y/N let out a small laugh. ”I love you too, Kylian. I love you with every single cell in my body.”

Yesterday, Mile's mom started following Apo on IG, and right away he started following her back. What's most interesting is that apparently that happened around 2 in the morning? How would they both be awake, online and Apo would be specifically on IG rather than on another site, for that to happen, if they weren't on the phone talking during or right before that? (shhh, let me live in this fantasy)

Not that it truly matters, they were for sure communicating and visiting each other's IG accounts without following, which is just as cute and way more sus. One example of teasing that happened way back when (thank you to the amazing @hyakkimanjuuu for this, you really made me smile sharing this with me!) is this little tease Mile's mom left in a comment on a vid where she and Mile exchange a kiss. She tells Apo not to pout. So she must have known he would see it. As a bonus, someone said Apo wouldn't since she's his mother in law, and she liked that comment and acknowledged it with a reply (click the pic to see it better).

Mile flew to Singapore today to attend a Guerlain event. While he's away, with or without a connection, Apo decided to film this giant M:

Apo also went wild with several comments he left on Mile's live before the event and on Twitter:

Meanwhile, Mile posted an update before the event, and his chosen background music was Until I Found You, the song Apo chose as one of his faves.

Of course it made everyone wonder if Mile would perform it during the Guerlain event, and he did! But more importantly, he gave a small intro where he said, "If you find something, someone who is perfect to you, don't let him... let her go." I AM NOT AT ALL LOSING MY ENTIRE SANITY OVER HIM SAYING THE "HIM" FIRST.

Episode 4 has the into again. I’m in heaven. I know I mention the theme song a lot but idk just great the instrumental and singing style. I know it’s probably not technically techno swing but it reminds me of that style and I love that style of music lolz.

Hazel and her dad are so cute goofing off together I love it. It sucks her mom is focused on work and not having fun with her husband and daughter, but again I think it’s part of why Hazel got her fairies having a mom that’s not really present. It’s not as bad as Timmy for sure but it’s still rough on a kid to not have one of their parents be there for them as they should be.

Anyways, Hazel spewing out facts during the tour is so cute, she’s so exited to talk about things she knows about. Lolz the tour guide having a beef with a literal child is just ridiculous and hilarious. Rewatching it’s funny Hazel doesn’t know about the ice cream parade, everyone is talking about it.

Of course Hazel would wish for a dinosaur just it’s so perfect for her lolz. I do love how the pig we saw replaced the Dino in the museum since it wasn’t eaten and instead killed by the meteor.

Also everyone panicking about Barry is funny and makes sense. Oh no Cosmo and Wanda uh oh no Barry knows he’ll die uhh this is going to be messy isn’t it lolz. Do they not care about maintaining the timeline or whatever guys come on lolz. How is a Dino getting a job going to go?

Not well apparently. I do like how Wanda is his agent Wanda is someone who won’t take any nonsense so it works well. Can he not roar because he can speak English now? That would make weird magical sense lolz. WOW uh that’s a rough director lolz. Course I don’t get why he decides he hates the museum job because they have things wrong like wouldn’t that make you want to help teach people about the real history? He sure gives up quick on every job but short run time so I get it.

Lolz I wish we had an ice cream parade lolz that sounds good right about now. I have so many questions though like yes he took down a large chunk of powerline but would it really take out the entire city? And even if it did we clearly see the ice cream trucks and they have their own power to keep their ice cream cool so it would be safe in the trucks?? Why does one assistant have to eat all the ice cream? And did we just…kill someone? Via melted ice cream car crash? Uhh….okay.

Uhh wait wait wait how does the mayor know this was Hazels doing? Wanda was more in conversations about Barry then Hazel so I’m kind of lost on how he knew to blame her besides for the laughs which uh isn’t strictly necessary it just feels their to make Hazel feel even worse then she does.

This Dino electricity scene raises more questions, why didn’t he just pick up the power lines to start? Why wait until now? How long does the stone power last? What happens when the rest of the world learns about Dino electricity?

Umm does the mayor have like security cameras watching everyone at all times? No one was their to see Barry start up the power again. Also if the ice cream melted as quick as the episode said it did, doesn’t make sense but whatever, the power going back on wouldn’t fix that all of the ice cream would be gone so the ice cream electrical parade would still be ruined. Clearly the writers haven’t had to save stuff in freezers when the electricity went out.

So…. Barry’s staying in the present? Thats uh. A choice. Won’t this raise like a thousand questions? Or send people like Crocker into a frenzy thinking magic did this? I don’t get how the shows going to justify this short of pretending it didn’t happen later on and if so why bother with all this?

Episode 4 was weaker than episodes 2 and 3 currently for me. The writing goes all over the place and it’s just kind of a weird one for me. But hey Barry was in the intro so I guess I should have seen some episode like this coming lolz. I think all that’s left in the intro is French fries, a ghost and fish boy. We’ll see which comes up next. Onto episode 5!

my very first thoughts: a CANCER MAN episode??? are we gonna get some backstory?? some CSM lore?!?!? 

part of me is deeply curious, but part of me also wants agent time, so… hmm! i’m intrigued. my curiosity? it’s been piqued.

and the lone gunmen have been mentioned!!

author's note: woah... i was expecting a lot of things, but cancer man being a flop author was not one of them. it's kinda sad, but mostly just pathetic.

judgement aside, i actually really liked this episode. there are things i would change, but i thought it was super intriguing to see certain parts of what is hidden beyond the curtain, but never enough to fully satisfy you, which i do love about this show (even if it is occasionally infuriating). the multi-part structure was also an interesting and unique choice that worked well, but i do have some... questions on writing/character motives and if they were well-received. but you'll see what i mean in a bit.

a lot happened in this episode, which i shall begin to recount below!

OH! we open with a shakespeare quote!!! “for nothing can seem foul to those that win” oooookay i suppose that is relevant to our ciggy man. damn. couldn’t be me. a lot of things are foul to me. such as killing melissa. 

we see a rat! a rat! cute little critter. oh. cancer man arrives, and is less cute. he's looking at some broken windows… damn, why is s4 so dark? i keep having to turn my brightness up. it's annoying!!

his lighter says “trust no one” omg… he’s so weird. just an overall strange fellow. seriously, who gets a custom lighter that says that? way to draw attention to yourself while trying to Not Do That.

so he’s opening a suitcase…. WHAT!! he is somehow listening to a bunch of conversations, including the “not everything is a dark labyrinth of conspiracy” one, which means he must have had bugs in all of the rooms where mulder and scully chat!!! who has time to sort through all of that audio content to find the juicy stuff?? probably his freak interns that i KNOW he keeps scattering about

okay, so he’s listening to a conversation now between the lone gunmen and mulder. frohike is freaked tf out, but mulder says no one would kill him because “you’re just a little puppy dog”. aww. that's a cute thing to say.

GAG!! the lone gunmen put on a special audio filter to hide their conversation, and CSM just pressed a button to totally ignore it, and turns to the camera with a smirk. EW! EW! creepy man. ugh, i can’t believe i paused and had to look at that awful creepy smirk for more than a few milliseconds.

oh my goodness, scully is also here during this conversation between the lone gunmen and mulder that we are listening to via CSM's technologically aided eavesdropping. frohike is saying he found stuff about cancer man, while cancer man loads what looks like a SNIPER RIFLE, and aims it out the window??? “what did you find?” “possibly everything”

GASP! i’m hooked. i DO want to know possibly everything. 

(watching the intro and that scene where they burst in with the gun always gets me, but today it’s making me ache in my chest because of how beautiful they are. so feel free to psychoanalyze that)

frohike is describing trotsky’s assassination. this is an area of history i am weak in, so i am seated for my lesson. it is actually entirely unrelated to the plot at hand, and is just some frohike nerd lore, but that's cool, i like a dude who knows these things.

frohike says “he” (presumably CSM) appears on august 20th, 1940, in louisiana. and his father was a communist activist, executed for espionage before his son would walk!!! and his mother died of lung cancer before he could talk!

damn. tragic backstory for this fellow. he pretty much said "i know cigarettes killed my mom but i'm different"

he was sent to various orphanages where he spent his time reading and not making friends. then he went off the grid until a year and a half after the Bay Of Pigs. weird way of measuring time- before and after the Bay of Pigs

OH! we get more text… “part 1: things really did go well in Dealey Plaza” hmmm....

some army men are jogging, while another dude reads the manchurian candidate, saying he would rather read the worst novel ever written than the best movie ever made. he must not know about the novels that are out there… i assume this is cig man?

OH MY GOD! he’s talking to MR. MULDER! wait, wait that means….

! MULDER LORE REVEAL ! his first word was JFK

that is... actually really adorable. and will make his toddler stage difficult as he has to break certain news to baby mulder.

why do i get the feeling, from the shaky way CSM just set the photo of mr. mulder’s wife and child down, that he is fighting suppressed romantic feelings for his buddy like the cold war depends on it? hmm....

these fancy looking men want to talk to the guy i assume is cancer man. they ask if he was involved in any of the big events from the early 1960’s, which he denies. you know, assassinations and whatnot.

oh! when they ask if his father was executed as a spy, he says his only regret is that “i was too young to throw the switch myself” which is kind of a crazy thing to say. "yes i never knew my dad but i wish it was me that killed him" is a wild hill to die on. but i guess this is what the 60's did to people.

OH! he also denies a cigarette when offered, saying he never touches them. well. some things went down between then and now, i assume. and hopefully, we shall gain a glimpse into what changed.

this general dude is yapping about extraordinary men and i assume he is referring to himself. and his father. and young CSM, too, can be an extraordinary man! 

“communism is without a doubt the most heinous personification of evil mankind has ever confronted” <- said by a guy who likely fought the nazis, this is an absolutely crazy line... but again, i guess that shows how deep everyone was into the propaganda

they are offering baby CSM a very important job… so important, his army service will be erased… he needs to assassinate an american civilian, former naval pt-boat commander…

i get it was bad, but i didn’t think it was THAT bad. that makes no sense though timeline wise… they said bay of pigs was “last week”, but that was 1961, and obviously he didn’t get shot until 1963. so are we expected to believe that they waited 2 years to kill him? 2 years in which a lot of stuff happened? or is this some sort of factual oversight i’m supposed to ignore. or am i misunderstanding the episode structure. did i mishear/read a line?

and now we're off to texas to witness the inevitable. this dude playing lee harvey oswald is lowkey cute, a thing i never thought i would have typed more than a few minutes ago. CSM yells at him about how smoking is BAD!

baby cancer man is talking to lee harvey oswald (another wild sentence), telling him he’ll see the president today. he calls baby cig man “mr. hunt” which i assume is a fake name… and he lies and says he loves the movies!! how simply do the falsehoods slip from his tongue!

ooooookay i see what is going on here. “mr. hunt” is a member of a cuban loyalty group telling lee harvey oswald to hide some weapons. a fall guy is being carefully crafted.

and lee gives him his cigarettes… the same cigarettes baby cig man scolded him for smoking…. omg…. foreshadowing

you know, in all my years studying history, i have never imagined what the inside of the book depository building looked like. and OMG! in googling to try and see if this was an accurate representation, i learned that dealey plaza is where he was shot! so i guess i’m good with JFK lore, but bad at geography. but that answers what the whole opening quote was about.

baby cig man is getting in a sewer to do some crime… very eugene tooms of him. he's getting his gun out in the sewer for a sneak attack…. while lee gets a root beer… and it seems umbrella man was giving a signal on when to shoot! fascinating.

(jackie’s outfit that day looked less fuzzy irl than it appears in this episode, so please take note of that wardrobe people)

nah, this is gonna make me feel bad for a FAKE lee harvey oswald…

and while JFK was dying, baby cig man stayed in that sewer the whole time… wow. i feel like someone should have taken a peek.

soooo realizing he is a patsy, lee shoots a cop. which is actually just far more incriminating than had he done anything else. then he goes to the movies. where the cops find him. and baby cig man was watching all of this…. he pulls out a cigarette and starts smoking. OMG was that his first?? to cope with the Guilt?? damn.

it’s a bit of a ludicrous story that makes me giggle when i consider the real-world implications, but i will take it for what it is.

but back to modern cig man, listening to all of this being explained. he says nothing, seeming to confirm the accuracy of what is being said.

“part 2: just down the road from graceland”

no, don’t tell me he killed ELVIS, too?!?!?

wait, i read that wrong. “just down the road aways from graceland” okay, not sure if that clears anything up. but we hear the voice of martin luther king jr.

no… don’t tell me he killed HIM, too…..

notably, this whole part is in black and white. cigarette man is tap tapping on his typewriter. he’s writing a book! “take a chance: a jack colquitt adventure” <- sounds boring 

he’s listening to MLK talk about Marxist revolutions… is baby cig man a closet commie? no, for it appears he is deeply upset by these words!

he’s still in black and white, at a meeting about MLK, talking about how some claim he wishes to wage war against white america. baby cig man says “wouldn’t you?”, and i begin to wonder if he is based, but these hopes are quickly dampened as he explains that MLK's existence and activism are no longer civil rights issues… because he said something about communism. bro. what. is this how people actually felt…?

(you read about the paranoia and the terror of the red scare, but seeing an attempt at putting it in context still makes you think damn, times were weird)

this council is now talking about how they can best discredit MLK, and we see a guy who is blamed for the “there is but one way out for you” letter, which baby cig man says is stupid. oh, he blamed the director of the FBI for that. damn!

cigarette man says we need another patsy, and to make it a white man, so “it” (referring to king’s assassination) looks racially motivated. and oh! he says he’ll do it himself.

“i have too much respect for the man” <- so you’re gonna be the one that kills him? bro… what. we don't usually kill the people we look up to where i come from.

so. cig man lights up as he stands outside a building where MLK speaks. 

AND HE PULLS OUT THE PHOTO OF BABY MULDER AND HIS MOM???? WHAT THE FUCK

(is this like a “he’s grieving because his work demands that he never has a family” kind of thing or a “he’s longing for the embrace of mr. mulder” kinda thing….? does he love mrs. mulder….? what is this….)

cancer man gives the dude he’s framing a couple hundred dollars. and then gets in the bushes behind where dr. king is staying. i'm still processing the photo reveal.

and bam.

wow, i feel that this is… weird. idk, the whole “this character killed JFK” thing has been going on for so long that it doesn’t really feel that shocking, but dr. king’s death is a tragedy in a different way, and i’m not sure that using it in fiction is like, super appropriate? um.

while i am unsure if i feel that using a civil rights leader's assassination in your alien story is something we should brush past, i do understand what the writers are attempting to do here, which is show how dedicated to the anti-communist cause cig man is, and how he'll stop at nothing to do what he deems needed, no matter how ugly or horrific. i recognize what they are trying to tell me.

LMAOOOO WAIT. place my moral pondering aside for a brief second. if you pause, you can read the rejection letter baby cig man gets for his book. “my advice? burn it!” <- DAMN that book must have been god awful 😭

oh god. now the TV is mentioning RFK… don’t tell me cig man did that, too…

jump to 1991. he has saddam hussein on the phone?? and tells him to call back. and some other dude is working on the oscar noms LMAO wait... i lowkey love the idea that the government controls those... need to think what that would imply for every single winner ever

AND he rigs the superbowl so the bills don’t win LMAO what is his beef with buffalo?! AND he rigged the olympic hockey game in ‘80?

we’re getting the impression he kinda controls everything. message received loud and clear.

OH! now they’re talking about mulder… “that ‘spooky’ kid”, is how they refer to him. and CSM says that mulder is his to keep an eye on. i'm sure that's part of his decades long plot, to keep mulder under his watchful eye and use him as a pawn in his schemes. also, gorbachev has just resigned. no more enemies to fight.

and CSM gives his men some presents for christmas. how thoughtful…..? 

his men invite him to come with them to virginia for a family get together. damn, they like this guy? it seems they honestly do!

he got them all ties…. very strange fellow he is.

okay, so he lied and said he had to go see family to escape the gathering. and then ominously walks outside mulder’s office door. dun dun DUN!

he has some mail… and opens it to see something that displeases him. THEN HE STARTS WRITING AGAIN!! it seems like auto fiction, when you write about yourself but pretend it’s happening to a character. damn. crazy coping mechanism. good to know that he is kinda a loser all around. 

so, some days he longs for a second chance. okay, yeah, we all do cancer man, and most of us didn’t kill JFK.

the phone rings. it’s DEEP THROAT! my old friend!! were they tight?!

it seems that on christmas eve of 1991 was when a weird alien spaceship arrived to earth. and the occupant is in “critical condition”. also, deep throat mentions the UFO he had claimed to see before in vietnam, so we know he wasn’t lying entirely about that.

they have this fleshy pink alien hooked up to life support, which has me wondering how alien life support works, and also how many types of aliens we are dealing with in this universe. but i’ve mentioned that before. still! worth mentioning again!

lore reveal that is unsettling... DEEP THROAT’S NAME IS RONALD???? 

idk, i was expecting something like abernathy or shackleton or cromswell!

deep throat gives cigarette man the gun to handle the alien situation- but CSM protests, saying that a “living EBE” could advance bill mulder’s project by decades!!! MR. MULDER MENTIONED?!? he'd be willing to break protocol to help his buddy out?!?

but no, deep throat recites the rules from the security council resolution, which makes him remember what they came here to do.

can you just… shoot an alien??? to kill it? well. you can shoot some of them to kill them, but not the kind that need the special neck stabbing device. okay, keeping track of all this, just seems like maybe all aliens would need something a bit cooler to vanquish them.

they’re fighting over killing an alien…. cig man doesn’t want to do it, so he tosses a coin. so he makes deep throat do it?!?! deep throat says that this is their new enemy. honestly, the sad little alien does not look like he can hurt you, but okay.

(i mean, do they really need the gun? he’s an alien on life support, just pull the plug)

oh…. cig man rips the bandage off his neck as deep throat climbs into some gear to… gas the alien? now what is the significance of this bandage that has been on his neck but ONLY for part three of the story?

that alien is creepy. deep throat really does shoot the damn thing. and cig man lights up while this goes down. is every cigarette one dude he killed….? damn. that’s like 5 packs a day….

“part 4: the x-files”

OOOO, info on scully being brought in!!!

OMG!!! we see parts of her thesis.

did we know she went to the university of maryland? well, i didnt, so that counts as a…

! SCULLY LORE REVEAL ! she graduated from the university of maryland in 1986!

(looking back, i realize this was all flashback stuff from the pilot. but i didn't KNOW at the time that this show would do such things to me, so i wasn't taking detailed notes! wow! how much has changed)

but it’s cancer man reading her thesis. stay away from her!

okay, now we’re back to one of the earliest times we ever saw scully, in her pilot episode fit. and was cig man actually there in the pilot? i think he was, right?

aww, we get to relive the “FBI’s most unwanted” moment through cancer man’s listening. it’s creepy, but still a heartwarming time.

back to the modern day- frohike is talking about how cancer man is “the most dangerous man alive”, because he believes these actions are all that life allows him, and he can never escape himself. damn. that’s deep.

and then back to the 1991 christmas eve scene… an editor loved CSM's book! he used the pen name “raul bloodworth”… have we heard that before? well, i’ll keep an eye out on various shelves. so he calls the number they gave him… he is desperate for validation… and he’s going on about how he wants the cover to look. there’s a cutting comment about “working with young authors”, and the publisher says he’ll have to “relinquish some control”. and cancer man is SO excited.

oh my gosh… wait, why am i lowkey emotional now? but that emotion is very specifically second hand embarrassment.

so he’s typing his RESIGNATION LETTER?? for the day the story gets published. for some reason he thinks that getting one story published = a life of steady income. HAH! if only.

he even takes a wistful look at his cigarettes and crushes them in his hand!!! wow, a time to begin again.

lmao i see a reference to darin morgan in the background magazines… do not think you are slick, props team!

CSM’s going to go pick up his story from a newspaper… and his story was published in a porno… and they changed his ending… 

this is NOT a good thing omg

and the newspaper salesman says that the magazine is garbage…

we just watched his dreams die in real time. and with the magazine, he buys another pack of cigarettes. damn. no chance for a new life, i guess. 

CSM’s now monologing about how life is like a box of chocolates (disappointing), and this is an interesting juxtaposition, because he is next to a man who is digging through garbage while he says all this, so clearly his material status could be a lot worse but it’s probably a mental prison, being rich and important and also sad.

Frohike clarifies that this CSM theory is based on a story he read, but he’s going to check with some hackers. as frohike walks out the door, cancer man mumbles that he can kill him whenever he pleases, but chooses not to do so today. 

woah… very different, but i actually really liked this episode!

i liked getting a peek into the mystical lore surrounding CSM, but also it wasn’t THAT much of a peek, you know? we know a few of the things he did, and that he did them in the name of fighting communism. i guess when he thought that communism was “defeated” they switched to aliens, but also aliens had to be there the whole time, because they did make the agreement about it after ww2. so he’s been up to a lot of stuff.

do i feel a little bad that he can’t get his writing published? yeah, but like i said in a “it’s cringey” kinda way, which i think was the intention. it’s funny that he has amassed all this power but is still a flop. 

like i said, i feel weird about the whole MLK thing. i think the coloring going black and white was to illustrate CSM's black and white thinking, about how you are either right or wrong, and to be wrong requires punishment, no matter what anyone else says on the matter. that was interesting.

hmm, i'm pondering. what will happen next to our smoky- well, i was going to say "our smoky friend", but we are not friends at all, are we? where will our tobacco-filled creep lead us?

i liked this one! it was really different from the traditional episode structure, so it felt special and nice. i liked getting an idea of his line of work and how he got involved with it and why, even if the killing post-Bay of Pigs thing was weird, but i GUESS it did bring the soviets and cuba closer together, so i GUESS if you thought anything that advanced communism had to be avenged, you would think that is a logical conclusion.

hmm, i can't afford to try and figure out who actually did it IRL! too much on my plate. it's an interesting theory... i shall have to give it a long contemplation.

Final thoughts on 911 season 1 now that I’ve actually watched it all:

- Abby was my favourite character of this season! Which really surprised me because Buck is like the exact type of character who’s usually my favourite (goofy with a lot of dark trauma and insecurities that they hide with jokes, himbo, bisexual coded), but the episode where Abby’s talking to her brother and she said that being a daughter and being a saint were the same thing really endeared me to her (eldest immigrant daughter core). I liked her relationship with her mom a lot too, I love how much they loved each other but how the show wasn’t afraid to show how putting all the care of someone struggling with an illness like that onto one person, can be so difficult and isolating for both people in that kind of relationship. I also really loved how dedicated she was to saving people, like I kept calling her Batman even though calling her the Oracle would have made more sense lol. Again, need the spinoff show where Abby’s just travelling the world and solving crimes!

- I cried when she left because I know from the fandom that she’s gone forever (for the most part) and that she ghosts Buck so we never even hear her voice again ugh

- I think Bobby’s arc was my favourite, it was very nice to see him heal, then backslide a bit, then get back up and keep trying. Bathena was also my favourite relationship even though it only really showed up at the end, but they’re just so cute together

- Favourite episode was episode 7 because of the way they tied together the emergencies, it was so well done and showcase of writing talent that I’m excited to see more of! Also this is when Abby solidified herself as Batman to me, she yearns for justice and the streets of Gotham I fear.

- episode 7 is also the episode with my favourite emergency of the season, the one with the gay couple where one of them had a tapeworm! They were so funny, and honestly so was everyone involved in the scene. Buck sharing his gym bro dieting tips made me laugh so hard, and Bobby just being over it was hilarious! Despite being surrounded by other pretty dark emergencies, it didn’t feel jarring!

- my least favourite arc was the hen cheating arc, I already knew they were gonna get back together and it would never be mentioned again, and it was just not fun to watch at all. Plus Hen took over w/ the intro monologues for Abby during this arc, which cut into our already limited Abby screen time, to make metaphors about cheating on her wife. UGH!

- my least favourite character was probably actually buck (gasp!). I liked him, don’t get me wrong! But a combination of the intense second hand embarrassment he gave me at the beginning of the season and my intense overwhelming love for Abigail Clark, just made me enjoy other characters more. Sometimes I felt that he was a little too immature for her, or he’d say things that would make me cringe

- my favourite scene overall was the scene where bobby was helping buck tie his tie, and he told him he looked handsome, and they were just joking around with each other! It was so cute, such an adorable father-son moment that showed some of the growth they’ve both gone through to be able to be in this situation and interact with each other like that. Ugh just so cute, will be reading more buck and bobby father-son fics THANK YEW

- my least favourite scene was of course the scene where buck is assaulted by his therapist because what the fuck was that.

- I also really hated when everyone not only thought that Buck would cheat on my beautiful wife Abby Clark, but they were also just kinda chill with it??? It felt so weird and callous?? And kinda ooc bc they yelled at him when he was single and just slanging it, but now that he’s in a relationship they think it’s none of their business?? It was so weird, and it would have been my least favourite episode if we didn’t get that awesome closing monologue to Florence and the machine from Abby at the end, which made me cry btw

- and also if the first couple of episodes weren’t kinda rough, the season got better the later we got into it, then peaked at episode 7!

All in all, I really enjoyed this season and I’m glad I decided to stop being a fandom lurker and finally watch it! Mother I come bearing more ideas about prince!sonic! Also, Sonic underground was my shit! I even learned how to play the guitar just so I could play the intro. Even now all grown up I love singing it. Anyways now to my two cents.

1) Imagine Sonic and you are dating and when he proposes Sonic decides it time to meet the family. You meet Manic first, a man of the streets who knows his city like the back of his hand and you guys hit it off well. It’s very causal and fun and he gives his approval and teases that their sister might be harder since she’s so “high  maintenance”. But when you guys are heading to his mothers and sister place you are feeling pretty confident about winning their approval too. Once you make it into the kingdom your chill, then you go into the palace. Weird but maybe they work and live here so whatever, especially since Sonic is so casual here. But when the Queen and Princess show up in royal dresses and jewelry and hug Sonic tightly and talk to him so casually you freak out. How does he know them?!

You trusted your boyfriend of the past year explicitly. Your relationship was built on a mutual friendship, going from casual classmates to one day dating when he had asked you out. You were surprised to say the least, this was one of the members of the volleyball team. They were popular throughout school with the entire student body. And so for him to show interest in you? You honestly hadn’t believed it.

But as the months went on and a few became your everyday norm, along with even getting invited over his house to meet his family, you were sure that the man you were dating was the one.

You remembered the first time he kissed you, the first I love you that he ever whispered in your ears.

And so it broke your heart to find out that you were not the only one he was saying these words to.

The school you were attending was known to be a powerhouse regarding volleyball. You were proud of the national spotlight your boyfriend was fighting on. And you fully understood the times when he would be gone or busy for weeks at a time - whether it was for traveling far away for various training camps or just practicing long into the nights for upcoming tournaments.

You knew from the beginning that Akaashi always had a special connection to Bokuto. Even before you were close to the quiet setter, you admired how he always seemed to know how to lift Bokuto’s spirits. From the preliminary matches against Nekoma to just seeing the two in school, it made you want to foster such a close relationship with him yourself.

And on more than one occasion, you had to remind yourself they were just friends.

Your friends warned you ahead of time, that the two had a strong bond despite being separated by a year and not even attending the same junior high. You knew this and simply attributed it to his patience and overall ability to read people.

When you had once asked Akaashi about his relationship with the nationally acclaimed ace, he smiled and said, “He can be a lot to handle. But I love watching Bokuto-san play when he’s in the zone.” 

You took it a face value, instead relishing in the comfort knowing that your boyfriend was wrapping his arms around you.

Months later, with that insecurity pushed in the back of your mind, it all came swarming out at Bokuto-san’s text. There was no denying what you were reading or who it was from. It was even accompanied by owl emojis of all things - as if there was anything cute about your boyfriend’s affair.

Your attention was caught and you needed confirmation, scrolling up through their conversation and seeing similar words spanning the last few hours alone. Had he been texting Bokuto the entire time he was sitting here with you?

You threw his phone back on the couch and stood, moving before even thinking about how you looked. 

Why would Akaashi do this? Akaashi?? The kind, loving Akaashi Keiji who had the love of the whole school? Hadn’t he chosen you?

Standing in the middle of his family’s living room, you put a hand on your chest to steady your breathing. You felt the onset of panic gripping your chest, threatening to force tears to the corners of your eyes. There was nothing you could say, you just had to see if it was true.

How long had this been going on? Is it possible that this was before you were even dating? Why was Akaashi stringing along the both of you? Were any of the promises Akaashi told you true?

There was no denying the sudden jump of fear you had when Akaashi walked back in the room, a questioning look on his face as he saw you try to level your breathing.

“What’s wrong?” He asked.

As if he had no idea, no reason to truly think that he was the cause behind your unease.

You tried your best to feign a smile, but there was no point in hiding anything to someone as cunning as Akaashi, you figured. He was best at reading other people. Instead, you held your frown and motioned to your phone, “I got a bad text from my mom - I need to go home.”

Akaashi was already moving toward you, arms reaching out to steady you at the shoulders. He was such a comforting foundation for you. And yet now, his close proximity brought nothing but anxiety and anger.

He seemed to notice since Akaashi dropped his hands to his sides. “Alright, let me walk you home?”

You nodded in agreement, not trusting your voice. You worried that you were going to unintentionally spill out the word vomit - accusing words ready on the tip of your tongue. He still reached out to encase your hand in his own, silently walking side-by-side for the entire time.

Thankfully, you had different homerooms and could avoid him for the first initial hours of school the next day. Did you have a plan? Absolutely fucking not. But you knew that you had to see them together - see them in their element and see why. 

You needed to know the reason why Akaashi would throw away everything you built together.

You stayed silent to your friends, not even telling your best friend what happened. Not that you were afraid of Akaashi finding out that you knew somehow, but you wanted to see what was naturally between them, without anyone else’s interference.

Akaashi had thankfully given you your space, probably assuming that your family emergency from before was what was holding you down. It also helped that they had a practice match against Itachiyama at the end of the week, so he was called to practice especially more.

He always had such beautiful hands, despite the hours of practice he dedicated to his sport. It made you wonder what he did with them. There were a number of times before where Akaashi would text you late into the night, citing that Bokuto had demanded more practice with his spikes. 

Was Akaashi really setting a ball for five hours straight after your last mid-terms?

You had a million questions in your head as you sat in the stands with your friends, watching the game of Fukurōdani vs Itachiyama. Bokuto was at the top of his game today, none of his usual vices holding him down as he played against his rival, Sakusa. For you and the other students cheering on the team, it could have been easily seen as just another game.

But it wasn’t.

You watched how Akaashi’s gaze would sometimes linger on Bokuto, long legs guiding his stride to a spike. The ace seemed to fly above the net, passion for their shared sport radiating even up in the stands where you were sitting. The fond expression Akaashi had only brought up his earlier words to mind - I love watching him play.

The interaction was so strangely intimate and yet public for any spectator the game. The moment passed, time moving forward as you continued to analyze every smile Akaashi shot the ace. Bokuto’s raised an overjoyed fist in the air in his excitement over the single point. He yelled his usual, Hey! Hey! Hey! And while you found the action usually humorous, you could only stare in blank realization as Akaashi fondly smiled at the spiker’s words.

There was no rising panic this time, nothing inside you screaming at you that something was wrong. 

Your eyes kept following the scene, the game playing out while you stood stock-still among your friends. But your mind was already made up, long before the game ended. You thought about it a few times over the past few days, why Bokuto? Why you?

Why did Akaashi even approach you in the first place?

Thinking back to any conversations you had with Akaashi that surrounded volleyball. All their little volleyball antics - it was always about Bokuto. He got in trouble with the principal, got depressed during a game, even something as simple as being overly hungry before a match. And who was the one to always pick him up? 

Akaashi.

And this was not something that could be as simply waved off as teammates. Neither Haruki nor Konoha were like this with the ace and both of them knew Bokuto longer than Akaashi. Kaori had even joked to you once that Akaashi was capable of reading Bokuto’s mind.

You were a fool.

You hadn’t told Akaashi you were going to attend this practice match in the first place and you honestly had no intention of doing so.

Instead, you texted Bokuto during the game to meet you outside by the entrance stairs, alone. 

Most of the other students had already filled out of the gymnasium, out into the streets on their way home as you leaned against the cold railing. You could hear Bokuto’s quick steps around the corner before you even saw him.

“Hey, (L/N)-chan! What’s up?” He greeted you in a friendly manner, waving with one hand fully outstretched even though you were only a few feet away from each other.

You weren’t going to smile and pretend.

“Bokuto-san.” You stated, looking him in the eyes head-on.

Despite his amicable disposition, Bokuto had quite the intimidating disposition to outsiders. The tall spiker was built with muscles, arms and legs looking seemingly sculpted. And here you were, pointing a heavy glare with your chin held-high at a man who could very easily over-power you.

“Don’t smile at me like everything’s okay.” You started, “I know.”

His smile immediately squashed to a straight line, eyes hardening as they looked down at you. Bokuto crossed his arms, his athletic duffel pushed to the side of his body.

“I won’t apologize for being in love with him.” His voice rang through the calm outdoors, not a single soul to hear his confession other than you.

You scoffed, “How did I already know you’d say that?”

Bokuto kept your question rhetorical, for once staying uncharacteristically silent. His gaze never wavered off of yours, eyes boring right into you as you wordlessly sized each other up.

“I tried to let him go, once.” Bokuto continued, “When you first started dating, I tried and couldn’t.”

They were together before you were even in the picture.

You bit your lip, asking. “And you’re going to ask me not to make you do it again?”

Bokuto paused, uncrossing his arms and looking heavenward for the right answer. How could he? They were already on the road to love before you even really knew Akaashi. Why did he ask you out in the first place? Why progress this far in your relationship? 

None of this was right and you had every bone in your body screaming at you to beat the ever loving shit out of the two volleyball players. But there was one thing you needed to cut off now.

“I don’t need an answer to confirm what you’re thinking.” You stated, “Treat his heart kindly.”

Bokuto sputtered, raising his arms in defense. “Akaashi chose you - he asked you out!”

You almost snarled at the irony, “As if that matters! What’s a label against the fact that he’s been in love with you during that entire time?”

He recoiled, nothing to say against your true question. You were his girlfriend, but how could that possibly matter when his heart continually lingered on the ace in front of you. And, since the volleyball God’s hated you, it was no surprise when the setter turned the corner to your impassioned conversation.

“What’s happening here?” His voice rang out, meeting Bokuto’s worried expression and your hardened one. 

Akaashi stopped in his stride the moment he saw the both of you, not moving closer to you or Bokuto and simply guarding his expression from leaking any of his inner thoughts.

“I thought about this a million times over the past few days.” You said low, but voice strong enough for the others to hear. “How I would yell at you, curse you to your face... But now that I see you, you’re pathetic.”

Akaashi was the master of a blank expression, but now there was nothing but panic and hurt written all over his face. Whatever words he was going to say, to somehow excuse his behavior, died on his lips when you calmly raised your palm to stop him.

How dare he.

"I don’t want to know why you led me on for so long. Or why you decided stringing along Bokuto this whole time would be good to the people you claim to love.” 

Bokuto frowned, looking to the side away from the two of you, but said nothing to refute your statement.

“Don’t ever talk to me again.”

You walked away from Akaashi then, turning away and heading home without looking back. There was nothing left, no words that could ever explain or fix the situation, not that you wanted him to try either. Bokuto’s voice reached you mid-way through the steps, his words low but aimed toward Akaashi.

The words were low and you were surprised you were even able to hear them: She’s not wrong.

The next day at school neither of them were present.

You laid it all out to your best friends at lunch then, all of you sitting under the apple tree and quietly listening to your story. They offered you small condolences, never bringing up the volleyball team or practice matches around you ever again. Konoha shot you a wilted frown in passing, no words enough to even start that conversation.

You only saw Akaashi one more time. It was no surprise that Fukurōdani was progressing to the Spring Nationals and everyone at school were quick to congratulate various team members on their victory. You saw them, preening around the lunchroom as the student body wished them luck.

They were holding hands.

You lingered on the sight for a single second. But it was enough for Akaashi to notice your eyes, shooting a withered smile in your direction. 

There was nothing you wanted to do in response, nothing left for you to say and hope for when it came to the setter. And so you simply turned back to your friends, rejoining the conversation with thoughts of the volleyball team long behind you.

You had to re-read the text three times, your mind whirling in circles to accept the fact that this was for your Tetsurō.

It was only when your hands flew to scroll upwards that you realized yes, this was really happening. It was all so quick - he had left the room to use the bathroom, or whatever, at this point you hadn’t even remembered why. Just his phone, which he always had on him, had vibrated away on your coffee table.

You grabbed it half-mindedly, original intention to bring it to him and maybe leave it at the door in case it was some type of volleyball-related emergency. He was the captain, after all. And so when the actual contents of the texts grabbed your attention, it was all over from there.

The profile picture was of the popular student body president, her shining face radiating even now. The other boys of the volleyball team had always complimented her and brought her up in conversation. Before you were even dating, you remembered that Kuroo particularly agreed with many of her features: long-hair, mild temper, and good grades even in college prep classes.

You were on the average scale of things - average grades in college prep, a member of photography club, but not particularly motivated - you were easily replaceable in the fast-paced world that Kuroo and others were constantly facing. And while you tried not to dwell on it too much, Kuroo was at the top of class with many of the female student body interested in him - there were times he had inadvertently made you felt small.

But Kuroo did try to wave those thoughts away, saying that you were the one he was in love with. It was only for you that he showed his soft side and only you were the recipient of his loving gestures.

And yet now you had in your hands evidence that none that was true.

You wanted to scream - reading all the affectionate phrases he had typed away to this woman.

Were you going to accuse him, then and there? What were you even going to say to him?

Kuroo made the choice for you.

“What are you doing with my phone?” He asked, voice promulgating the silent room.

You were sure that your eyes were glossy as you responded back quietly, “I was going to bring it to you when it kept ringing.”

“Thanks babe, just pass it over.” He said calmly, outstretching a palm in your direction.

You held the phone to your chest, there was no way you could feign a reaction now. This was no longer the simple interaction that you could pretend would pass over, the adulterous text was still open on the screen, open for both parties to quickly see.

His grey-eyes surveyed you silently, not a single word uttered, as if it would break this unmoving conversation. You always found his observant stare endearing, how his greatest weapon on the volleyball court was something he used on you to understand you better. 

And now, you could only imagine what he was truly thinking throughout your relationship.

Kuroo’s fond looks, those kind smiles, they were all calculated actions to keep you on his hook. They were not the loving terms of endearment you believed them to be. They were deliberate ways to sate your relationship, nothing more.

You frowned, handing him the phone and biting out coldly. “I want you to leave.”

“Listen babe, it’s not what you think.” Kuroo was reaching for you, taking steps to close the distance before you fled away entirely.

“Of course! What was I thinking?!” Your voice was raising with every word, anger seeping through toward the middle-blocker. “Some other girl texting you: I dream of waking up to you every day, could be some other context that what I’m too small-minded to know? Right?”

He followed behind you as you traversed through your empty house. You just wanted to get away from him, just the very image of Kuroo was enough to make you angry and inescapably hurt. There was so much you wanted to just yell at him, but at the same time you knew this was the man who held your heart.

And the same one who chose to break it.

What was there even to say to him? You’ve won? Congratulations? Get out of my house?

“Get out!” You settled on that and yelled behind you, your voice weak as you sucked in air between tears. Kuroo continued to follow behind you despite your loud command.

You pushed open the door to your bedroom and attempted to slam it behind you, but a simple kick of his foot and it stayed open. Instead, Kuroo closed it and locked it as he followed.

He had you cornered.

Would it be crazy if you jumped out the window?

Your eyes shot to the opening at the side-wall of your room, but it seemed his gaze followed your own path when he grabbed your elbow and pulled you to him.

Kuroo had his hands on your shoulders, trying to calm you down. “Please just listen to me.”

“Listen to what?” You were trying to push him away, but Kuroo refused to budge against you.

He leaned his chin against the top of your head, one of his arms going down to wrap around your waist. “Stop, you know I would never do anything to hurt you.”

“Then why...?”

“It looks bad. I know it does.” Kuroo started to explain, “But I can prove to you that this isn’t what you think.”

You sniffed, not saying anything as you waited for whatever bullshit response was already formulating on his lips.

What you hadn’t expected was for Kuroo to raise the phone to your ear, the ringing of the outgoing call blasting next to you.

What was he doing? Was he insane? 

You didn’t want to listen to her voice, listen to whatever she was going to say when she picked up the phone. Loving words, teasing innuendo’s, all of that you shared with Kuroo and now he was going to show-off what he had with another girl?

You twisted against him, ready to fight out of outrage of not only being cheated on, but also Kuroo doing the utmost stupid thing he could ever do and showing it off in front of you.

The voice that rang out froze you in your actions.

“Captain! Was my text really bad that you had to call?”

“... Yamamoto-san?” You near-whispered back in recognition.

You heard what was almost a yelp back. He stuttered over your name, before asking, “Ah, you and um. You and Kuroo-san are spending your day off together?”

Taking hold of the phone yourself, you looked at the screen and saw that it was indeed to the same student body president that the call was going through to. Same icon, same everything. So why was Yamamoto on the other side of the line? You looked up at Kuroo briefly, the middle-blocker staring at you right back. He urged the phone back to your ear, reminding you that Nekoma’s ace was still on the other side of the line.

“...Yeah.” You answered back weakly, remembering his initial question.

“... Was there something you needed?” He asked nervously.

“Um.” You bit your lip and looked at Kuroo, “Why is your name saved as our student body president in Kuroo’s phone?”

“Aasdfgh.” The strangled noise lasted for ten seconds before Kuroo cleared his throat next to you. “Captain! You’re there too!”

“Explain it, now.” Kuroo said flatly, his voice plain as his grip on your waist tightened. You put a hand on his chest in an attempt to keep him at a distance. You were still mad, admittedly also confused, but you didn’t want Kuroo to just hug the issue away.

Of course, he pushed your hand away and continued to hold you close.

“Please, don’t judge me (L/N)-san!”

Your confusion was only growing. “Um. What’s going on?”

“somycrushgavemehernumberbuticanttalktogirlsandididntwanttomessupsoiwaspracticingwhattosayonkurooandtherestandthentheygotmadsosometimesitextmyselffromtheirphonenumbersaspractice!” 

The words were so fast, you held the phone closer to your ear in an attempt to decipher anything that was just said.

“Wait, what?”

Yamamoto sighed loudly before exclaiming, “I can’t talk to my crush!”

You tilted your head in confusion, “... Kuroo’s your crush?”

The middle-blocker sighed above you, moving to flick your forehead while Yamamoto was near screaming in outrage on the line.

“No!! I.. I don’t have a lot of experience talking to girls! And then my crush gave me her number and she started texting me! And believe me, I tried practicing on otome games and even they dumped me!”

“Uhh...”

His loud voice kept going, explaining the strange tale, “And so I was begging the guys to help me practice and eventually they got sick of me too! She was really into me too and we were flirting and I wasn’t ready!! I don’t have anyyyy experience, (L/N)-san!!”

You shot a look up to Kuroo, his gaze locked on you without any other hints of an expression on. You were sure that your face was a mix of incredulous and worried, was this for real?

“And then she started texting me dirty things and I wanted to do it back, so Kuroo taught--”

“Skip it.” The middle-blocker stated harshly, cutting off the ace.

“Aasdafhauh.” Yamamoto outwardly struggled, remembering that both Kuroo and you, a female, were on the line. “I thought all was lost and then Kuroo let me practice texting myself and seeing how it looked from his phone!”

Oh.

“Wait, what?”

Kuroo summarized it plainly for you. “It means he was practicing sexting himself from my phone.”

“Ca-Captain!” His voice rang out.

You could not help your growing, amused smile. “Is it true?”

“I - well, yes...”

His voice trailed, but you held in your chuckle. “Ah, thanks for clearing that up.”

Yamamoto paused before asking, “Did my impassioned words led to a misunderstanding?”

“I’m sure your words are the least of your problems tomorrow at practice.”  Kuroo answered this time, earning an anguished exclamation before the middle-blocker hung-up and threw the phone away.

That was not what you were expecting.

Your mind was in a million places, not sure what to say and what you were just witness to. Kuroo pulled you along to your bed, near throwing you on top while you were distracted in your thoughts.

He hovered above you, placing a light kiss on your forehead and then trailing down the side of your face. You cupped his cheek, still trying to process what the hell just happened, but moved to slot his lips against yours and reassure yourself that this was real. 

Kuroo pulled away and whispered against your lips, “I know it looks crazy, but please trust in me - in us.”

You nodded silently, simply stating an okay when Kuroo continued to stare at you.

“I want this... more than just now in high school.” Kuroo looked to the side, before returning his gaze back to you.

Guiding his head back to yours, you pushed off your elbow to lean up to him. “Me too. I’m sorry for being so quick to accuse you.”

“Stop.” He murmured against your skin, small pecks following his wake. “I should’ve explained it to you before.”

“I mean, it does sound pretty crazy.” You joked, a fond smile growing on your face as Kuroo continued to shower your neck with small kisses. “To think you were flirting with Yamamoto of all people.”

“Oi.” A small scowl was already on his face.

You were ready to tease your poor boyfriend, “Sorry, you were sexting him.”

Kuroo rolled his eyes, a hand already sneaking its way under your shirt. “Why don’t I show you what I was teaching him?”

You felt your eyes comically widen at his boldness, any hint of your previous teasing falling away as your boyfriend’s sly smirk crawled further and further down your body.

The love you felt for Kuroo was undeniably mutual, but you had to learn to trust your boyfriend.

Obi- Wan spoilers and my review of every episode

⚠️ SPOILERS ⚠️

I will write a review of every episode and just write out my general thoughts on them.

I’m not a huge Star Wars fan, I have watched all the movies and a few episodes of Mandelorian (?) but that’s it.

Episode I: First if I love the intro/ recap in the beginning. I also love that they introduce a new Jedi in the show. I love that we also get to see Luke and Leia as kids. Leia as a nice, sassy troublemaker is one of my favorite things about this episode. Don’t like her mean cousin. Owen is making me kinda sad but I do understand him. Then Leia got kidnapped and Obi- Wan won’t help her, but then he will so redemption. They killed of the young Jedi. Why didn’t you help him Obi. Love Lola. (Think that was the name of Leias droid)

😭 It’s Ani and his light sabers 😭

Episode II: I feel bad for the pink haired girl. The way I screamed when Kumail Nanjiani came on screen. I thought it was him in the trailer and I am so happy it was him. The length Obi- Wan goes to save Leia do make me emotional. Then she runs away from him, girl stop running. Haja saving them. I knew he would come around, Kumail could not play a bad person and if he did… nope. I felt like so much happens at the same time as nothing happened.

😭 Leia reminding him of Padmée and Hayden Christensen being showed for the first time 😭

Episode III: First of, HAYDEN. My favorite movies has always been the Padmée- Anakin trilogy so to see Hayden a lot more in this episode definitely made me happy. I loved when Obi- Wan fixed Lola for Leia it shows that even tho he is a bit mean towards Leia he still cares. Him sending Ani and seeing him when he’s not there just shows the bond the two of them sheer. Freck is so nice. My heart dropped in my stomach when the stormtroopers came on, but they were so clueless (Clueless, love throb movie)

Leia saying “Are you my real father” and “You know my real mom, right” has my heart. Also Leia always reminding Obi of Padmée.

Noooo, Freck you traitor. Tala is a bad bitch. Obi sensing Ani through the force before he was even that close. I’m telling you betrayal or no betrayal their bond is so strong. The reunion, their fight, LOVE IT.

😭 “You should have killed me when you had the chance” 😭

Episode IV: First of, I’ve said it once and I will say it again sassy Leia has my heart. Tala still being a bad bitch and “breaking in” Important question, how are storm troopers so clueless? I feel so bad for Leia. The third sister threatening her and taking Lola. Leia almost out smarting her.

Then some bad as escape scene that I don’t remember. Them escaping but Wade died. I may not have known him at all, but I loved him. Anakin doing the Padmée choke. Bitch is tracking them, I’m guessing she is tracking Lola?

Episode V: Starts of with a flashback and I already love it. I like that the flashback is built on during the episode. Leia saying “I need a ladder” and then Obi saying “You trust me you try at her”. New ship unlocked Obi x Tala. They are so cute, slow burn. Love it. Then the plot twist of the century (not really it was one of my theories) REVA WAS A YOUNGLING AND IS SEEKING REVENGE ON ANI.

Talas dead. Then a lot happens and I forgot to take notes. The Reva vs Vader fight was amazing, the fact that he knew she was a youngling. Then when Reva is dying she finds the message, DRAMA. I feel like they have so much to fit into one episode now. Season two???

Episode VI: This is the last episode. It has gone past so fast. Leia saying that Lola is comforting everyone and Obi saying “Maybe is should borrow her too”. Reva going after Luke. He looks a lot like young Ani, great casting. BERU, she has always been one of my two favorite characters. Leia getting Talas holster and Obi promising to return.

Ani vs Obi: The drama, I love it. Ani burring Obi and Obi being motivated by Leia and Luke. THE MASK BREAKING. “You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker, I did”

Reva: Owen and Beru are so ready to fight. Reva being about to kill Luke when she sees herself. Then bringing him back.

Over all

I also love how they wrote out everything, it gives the og trilogy so much back story.

Are there other jedis alive?

Everything just falls into place

Thoughts on Lies

Warning: Spoilers! And possibly having your heart torn into pieces. Other than that, have fun!

We open up with Marinette figuring out the recipes for the power ups as the new guardian.

I am disappointed that she still has not stopped oogooling over Adrien when he appeared on the news. Especially since she was allegedly with Luka by then. (I'll explain what I mean in just a minute)

Adrien was tired after the day he had as Adrien, which is a contrast of what Marinette believes his life is like. But being Chat Noir is the highlight of his day...

...only to not see Ladybug show up for patrols. And we see that it was all due to her figuring out the powerups.

Also, the patrols are a thing in cannon and I am still not over it after "Truth".

Chat Noir hoping for an akumatization so he can escape his civilian life radiated the same energy as Alya asking for akumatizations to interview the temporary heroes on her IG post. I get it, but still! We do not have people in danger for our needs.

Plagg being the one who announces any voice messages for Chat and asking for cheese through the feature on the Chat Phone brings me a whole other level of life.

Also, the whole milk thing at Le Grand Paris bar counter. It was hilarious, but also very sad. He really missed his m'lady

He ends the patrol after he saw Kagami training with her mom. And the smiles on his face! *Cries in Marichat and Ladynoir*

Plagg is the one that encourages Adrien to move on from Adrien, just like he applauded him from doing so in Loveater.

Kagami apparently said that fencing lessons are scheduled an hour in advance and Adrien (with that goofy grin on his face) knew what was up!

Both Ms. Tsurugi and Gabriel are very pissed at one another for the schedule change. That's hilarious, although everything comes at a price.

The parallels! Kagami is apparently learning Russian at her mother's request. Truly is a reflection of Adrien, civilian life wise.

Kagami? Lying???? The hell???? Who are you and what have you done to Kagami????? (Why am I surprised, y'all did this in Desperada)

She lies to their parents and the teacher to be in the art room with Adrien. I get it, teenage rebellion after being under an uninvolved parent, but still!

I like how the writers gave Kagami another dimension by saying she loves art, but her mom does not like her passion for drawing.

To Kagami's mom: WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOUR DAUGHTER IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH???!!! HER DRAWINGS BELONG IN A MUSEUM!

Also, art reflecting the truth? Hmmm.....

Since people like mentioning that Marinette has a thing for people with absent parents after "Truth", I will now say that Adrien has a thing for people who are great at drawing. I do not take criticism.

Kagami is hinting that Adrien's civilian life is not his true self (thank you for understanding him!)...

...but also says that being a "clown" (it was the Chat pose) is also not who he really is. The fandom would disagree with you. Although that brings up the question of whether both personalities merge to form who he really is and cannot be seen completely by anyone in any part of his life. But he is more like Chat Noir regardless.

Also, I want to see Adrien and Kagami spend more time together prior to this episode to see why she was not pleased with him being a clown if that's who he truly is, because her repositioning him against the wall made me feel like she is trying to place Adrien into a mold that reflects the image she might have created in her mind. (I don't know, this was just the first thought that came in my mind.)

They almost kiss, with Adrien being taken into shock (not terrified as we thought) until the alarm saying they have fencing lessons starting interrupts them and Adrien runs out, not before BLUSHING LIKE HELLO?!?!?

This is what I referred to in my second point and confirms what everyone was saying about this episode: this is "Truth", but through Adrien's perspective. Finally, an Adrien-centered episode!!!

To continue, every time Adrien and Kagami are together or were about to kiss, a sentimonster appears, with Ladybug trying to do something about it. Just like Lukanette, just like Adrigami: being a superhero affects your love life as a civilian.

Chat being thrown off the roof by accident and being rescued will never get old or less funny lol.

Montages continues up until the boat scene, where Adrien missed the intro to the performance, but I will never get over the fact as to how Adrien made it there before Marinette. It is beyond me.

Kagami not letting Adrien stay for 5 more minutes. Hmm...

Why *le gasp*? Because 1) I fear it symbolizes that something will happen to Adrienette or that Adrien has forgotten about her, and 2) Wait until later.

Kagami revealed she lied so she can spend more time with Adrien alone, lying about leaving rehearsal earlier, lying about the fencing lessons rescheduling, and who else knows what else so she can be with him.

She tells him she loves him. But Adrien notices Ladybug and an Akuma. Oh boy, he wasn't able to give her any attention.

Because he left towards the direction of the boat (and said he left something there), Kagami used that to conclude it had something to do with Marinette. Oh boy.

Either I missed an entire scene about Ladybug knowing ShadowMoth's name, or we were not supposed to know how they know until this episode. It feels out of place to me, but oh well.

"I..am...AN INCREDIBLE SWIMMER!" still cracks me up even when I know how important it was in protecting her secret identity.

Apparently, Kagami lied that her mom was in charge of watching over Adrien (or maybe not? I can't tell at this point.)

Yep, Kagami believes that Adrien is going after Marinette and probably resents them both if her facial expression says anything

We get to see that Ladynoir moment from "Truth"!! I love these two and their banter.

Adrienette stans, not much has changed. Adrien was concerned that he lost the Lucky Charm bracelet, for real. But said again because he though he would be clear of the lie since he thought he had it on him.

Kagami confronts him with it. AND THIS IS HIS SHOCKED FACE SCENE FROM THE TRAILER!!!

Thinking that she lies to get out of being with her, she leaves. With the bracelet. The leaving part is understandable, especially because she does not know about him being Chat Noir or what entails him to do. But why take the bracelet???

Adrien is also saddened by what happened. He also liked her.

We've never seen that part of city hall. Well designed in my opinion.

She was the akuma in City Hall with the glowing sphere! We were right!!!

Adrien feels guilty, though it is not really his fault. He has a duty to Paris!

We were wrong about Kagami's power: it paralyzes people who lie, not kill everything in its path.

Jagged, you abandoned your children. And you apparently lied about your age?!?!?! Both episodes show something about Jagged Stone that make him seem like an awful person on the inside.

Ladybug, how do you know about Lies's powers?!?!? There is a hole in the plot here! Unless there were other paralyzed civilians that gave her power a dead giveaway.

Chat Noir, if you lie as a civilian for whatever reason, of course Ladybug will too, since as a civilian, you need to lie to keep your secret identity a secret. Same rules apply to Ladybug, especially as the guardian.

The Lucky Charm is a drone, not a camera like I thought. How the hell did I get into an ivy if I can't tell the difference?!?!

Chat Noir pretending to lie is funny. It might also be his peppy attitude to lying. Also, his funnier version of ShadowMoth's name.

Ladybug finds the akumatized object and gasps. I wonder if its only a eureka moment or also the fact that she recognizes the bracelet, especially if its custom made.

Brutally honest people does not exist (we have all lied at some point, even Kagami who is usually brutally honest with people), but animals can't lie.

Fang being involved in destroying the akuma is cool.

This is the moment that we dreaded so much, yet knew was coming: CHAT NOIR DIES!

JK! He actually is paralyzed by truth because he jumped into the glowing orb. We were right that this is an anguishing scene to watch, but we're wrong about the part that he's killed. Yet, he still unnecessarily sacrificed himself and caused Ladybug to be angst about it.

WHAT IS UP WITH CHAT NOIR BEING HAPPY ABOUT SACRIFICING HIMSELF?!?!? AND DO NOT SAY ITS BECAUSE HE TRUSTS LADYBUG!

Yes Ladybug. Chat is crazy. And also crazy for you. And you are right about the crazy unconscious part. My Ladynoir heart!

ShadowMoth almost won until Fang bit off the charm bracelet. Thanks Fang!

Chat backing away from Fang licking him is a mood.

My favorite Ladynoir moment of the evening: Ladybug telling Chat to stop sacrificing himself and Chat saying she likes her adorable angry face. Her smirk afterwards.. And then their pound it.

But no seriously Chat. You need to stop doing that to Ladybug. She cannot take it anymore

Plagg said that even if Adrien loves someone else, he is likely to go back to Ladybug. Just like he goes back to Camembert. Seriously, despite his cheese analogies, he gives great wisdom.

Not Kagami almost beating up Adrien during his fencing lessons. And Mr. D'Angercourt notices this too as he stopped Kagami's final blow.

Also, isn't it illegal in fencing to push people? Oh boy.

And there's the Adrigami breakup scene: Adrien telling Kagami that he enjoys their time together and Kagami knowing their is sincerity in him. It is sort of unclear who actually ended things when Adrien asks if they could still be friends, but Kagami ends it all by saying that she will let him know once she can face him again. Ouch.

Adrien is hurt and stares at the lucky charm bracelet with what looks like sadness. Once again ouch.

Like Lukanette, I want to see Adrien and Kagami be happy together at least until halfway through this season. The issue is that it will hurt them more in the end.

Also, I noticed the difference between Luka and Kagami when ending their respective relationships. It hurt them both, but Kagami was more forward about it and Luka was somewhat passive. It could be based on what they know about their now exes (Luka knew that Marinette had feelings for Adrien and was not secretive about it even when they were together if the truths her friends said and the opening scene to this episode reflect this, whereas Kagami only has a suspicion and Adrien does not say anything regarding to it.

Also, I really did not like how the breakup on this end resulted in. While more realistic for a lot of people, it did not help that it involved Kagami as there are people who will go after Kagami after watching this episode, and I believe that the writers know this. Kagami is a good person who has a different response to the trust issues and lack of communication, as well as lies in their relationship. Not saying its a perfect one, but an understandable one. In conclusion, don't trash Kagami, especially if you saw this coming.

I take back what I said before; this is my favorite Ladynoir scene. I want to hug them both because they have to lie and keep secrets from everyone, even have some secrets between themselves! But at least they can trust each other! Excuse me while I cry over how much we are being fed. Also, the fact that they broke up with their respective partners makes this both heartwarming and heart breaking.

Overall, this episode is just as good as Lies! It is the first fully Adrien-centered episode, which makes this a first and already exciting. While I did not like how their breakup was handled, it was realistic and showed that honesty and communication are important. Also, can my children be happy together for longer than an episode??? I swear, their pain hurts me.

But at least Ladybug and Chat Noir have each other's company to get them through. May us Ladynoir stans continue to be fed!
