– Don Cox, who observed a triangle-shaped UFO for 45 minutes from his yard in Adelaide, 385 miles northwest of Valentich’s last known location, just 28 minutes after his radio fell silent.

As we wrap up our coverage of the Frederick Valentich story in Part 3 of our series, we'll continue our conversation with Melbourne resident Chris Tyler about his research into the case and other possibly related UFO incidents around the same time and area. We'll also examine the Australian Department of Transport accident report's remaining findings and discuss its conclusions. As you begin to reach your own conclusions, it's essential to keep several factors in mind which make the usual mundane explanations seem inadequate. The high number of independent sightings of aerial phenomena occurring in proximity to the disappearance suggests Valentich wasn't alone in witnessing it. The distance a Cessna cowling was found from a potential crash site and the lack of definitive markings makes its discovery inconclusive. Even if the cowling did come from Valentich's plane, it still doesn't account for what caused him to ditch, let alone other missing debris and Valentich himself. Perhaps the most surprising revelation comes from the summary of the report itself. Rather than dismissing the possibility of a UFO entanglement, an official government statement lists it as one of four likeliest scenarios. Remember that Valentich himself never suggested he interacted with a UFO in his last transmission, despite being painted as obsessed with them by his skeptics. When these factors and more are taken together, it's no wonder this incident is one of the most baffling and tragic in the phenomenon's history and leaves us all to wonder, what happened to Frederick Valentich and where did he go?

I always hear exactly the same question asked in many ways. "Can I just learn how to produce apps for Android?" "How hard is it to examine apple service preise berlin Android programming?" Mobile application development is truly hot today, and Android has become out facing the rest in the mobile app world. WhatsApp's Privacy Policy changes explained for my dumb friends. Should you uninstall WhatsApp?

Note: This is long, so go down to point 16 if you want simple explanation. I've tried to keep it as simple and accurate as possible, apologies in advance if some things are incorrect.

1. Privacy on the internet is a myth.

2. Your data is not at risk. Files, photos, chats etc. are secured. Your WhatsApp metadata is transferred to FB servers, like: mobile model, OS, IP address etc. Most of them are shared to improve user experience and for security reasons, according to WhatsApp. 3. Breaking News: WhatsApp already has been sharing data with Facebook since 2016. In 2014 FB had "promised" that nothing would change in privacy policy of WhatsApp when they had acquired it. But, as expected, in 2016 they changed the policy, where sharing data with Facebook was "optional". At that time you could opt out. Many people agreed without checking, or had ignored it (auto-agree). Now in new policy there is no opt out, you have to agree, else uninstall. 4. The reason for new policy is because of many new things Facebook and WhatsApp have now, namely the WhatsApp Business Accounts, WhatsApp Payments, Facebook Pay in USA etc. It is just clarifying things in general. 5. Another reason is due to Facebook's focus of interoperability of FB, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. FB and Instagram were integrated long back. Instagram and Messenger already have interoperability, when in Oct 2020 they merged both. Now time for WhatsApp. 6. Facebook has monopoly of sorts in social media, only other strong competitor being Snapchat (w.r.t. personal communication). It also recently acquired Giphy, a gif sharing platform, integrating it with Instagram. Hence US Federal Trade Commission is considering splitting, which could force Facebook to sell Instagram and WhatsApp. Some people believe this is the reason WhatsApp is being rushed into the Facebook universe as Facebook will get all of the metadata of WhatsApp personal and business users before the split (the split has low chance of happening, but still a chance). 7. Another problem is they may come up with something they have being doing with Facebook Shop in USA. Your metadata or third-party integration with WhatsApp may affect your experience in Facebook Shop or other Facebook Universe apps. They mention this in privacy policy:

WhatsApp currently shares certain categories of information with Facebook Companies. The information we share with the other Facebook Companies. includes your account registration information (such as your phone number), transaction data, service-related information, information on how you interact with others (including businesses) when using our Services, mobile device information, your IP address, and may include other information identified in the Privacy Policy section entitled ‘Information We Collect’ or obtained upon notice to you or based on your consent.

8. So in the end nothing really is changing, just that WhatsApp's entry in Facebook interoperability plan is official, and some clarification regarding people-to-business communication.

Their statement is:

"We’ve updated our policy to be transparent and to better describe optional people-to-business features. We wrote about it in October -- this includes commerce on WhatsApp and the ability for people to message a business"

9. The need for change: Google and Amazon etc. also have reputation of bad privacy practices. Amazon's business itself is to sell things, they track your basic data and try to sell you more products, so nothing much here. And lets be honest the saying is true: Google knows more about you than you know about yourself. Google is integrated in Android and multiple web apps, so getting rid of it is impossible right now. (We can start with DuckDuckGo, privacy oriented search engine, there are other replacements for other Google apps)

10. Hence the need for change is now, people have now become aware that our privacy is at stake, plus Facebook has bad reputation of privacy issues (Cambridge Analytica, targeted advertising, surveillance, list is long), so it is right time to move on.

11. Another breaking news, FB and Instagram can use your images and videos for their own purpose.

For example in Instagram's terms of use:

When you share, post, or upload content that is covered by intellectual property rights (like photos or videos) on or in connection with our Service, you hereby grant to us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sub-licensable, worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, translate, and create derivative works of your content (consistent with your privacy and application settings).

12. You need to remove all Facebook Universe apps along with WhatsApp for complete privacy: Facebook, Instagram, Messenger. This is going to be tough, as massive amount of people are already on these platforms, forcing them to move on will be a tough task. Switching from WhatsApp for freelancers and small businesses may affect their business with clients. Elders who are already struggling with tech and had to learn Facebook apps will get frustrated when we tell them to learn a new app.

But people have migrated before, Orkut and Myspace are the examples, so there is hope.

However, moving from Facebook has become tough, as it has acquired it's competitors or copied them (ahem ahem Snapchat ahem) 13. Uninstalling WhatsApp would be great, but a good start would be people starting to use other messaging apps simultaneously, as some might argue such apps are essential apps and we can't risk privacy in that aspect. Currently good alternatives are Telegram and Signal (there are many, but others don't have much popularity)

14. I recommend Signal as it is built by a non-profit organization and hence can't be sold to organizations like Facebook, Amazon etc. Telegram has bad reputation of being loaded with movie piracy and can be acquired by another organization in future. Plus Edward Snowden, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Elon Musk recommend Signal. 15. Another solution is Indian government steps in and tells Facebook what data can be shared and what cannot be shared, which is the case in Europe (EU).

People in EU did not get this privacy policy notification as WhatsApp is legally bound to not share data with Facebook in the European Region because it’s a contravention of the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

16. TLDR: Whatsapp has been sharing metadata with Facebook since 2016, nothing major in policy changes. If you care about privacy, get rid of all Facebook apps, you can start with WhatsApp first as it is a personal messaging app. If you are OK with sharing your metadata with Facebook and trust them, then just accept the Privacy Policy. Best case scenario is the metadata will be used for better targeted advertising.

I did try to do my best to make it somewhat understandable with several ideas and conversations all in this. Also I didn’t originally separate it into paragraphs. If a sentence seems out of place at the start or end of a paragraph, my bad. But please read, comment opinions, not angry but constructive to build a conversation. I also don’t know how but this became more like an info blog post, but valid points and openings for conversations are made.

Facebook is for memes mostly and socializing with like minded people with their pages and groups. In a future version, they disabled screenshoting photos from the default system buttons, but of course people found ways and made apps to get around it. Snapchat then started to block accounts for using those apps, then came the solution of notifying users of screenshots and then recordings when Apple released that feature. I know Snapchat probably wasn’t the first to make the goofy photo filters, but they did make it so much easier and almost more advanced with their simple facial mapping(yes it is simple since it’s meant to work with phones without facial recognition and all the other fancy face features.). Now Snapchat is a place to socialize in groups, or privately with friends through photos, messages, and video. Another big use now is the porn industry, where I think it’s safe to say only females succeed at making a lot of money with. It also seems to avoid spam bots and stuff. I’ve never received anything from a fake user or bot, besides their built in Snapchat bot, so that is honestly impressive and I applaud them for trying to keep it safe and friendly, except for the usual douchebag guys that send dick picks and stalk girls no matter their age. Danger lurks at all corners of the internet, and making friends is easier now, and just an add and a message away sometimes. But be careful who you add and honestly block anyone who harasses you or sends you unwanted images. And report them, help improve internet society and safety. This goes for all social media platforms.

If they added collaboration on projects a lot easier in that aspect, and didn’t force themselves into everyone(Yes, Google that’s a shot at you.), they could make a truly great platform where we could see great things made by groups, communities, artists, and I could see them adding some sort of collaboration for web developers and programmers, which I would like to see knowing that Facebook, the corporation not social network, owns Oculus, and they already have a lot of resources for developers. Do you think Apple might be working on a social media platform, or do you think they will just keep adding out of place features? Do you think they would succeed in it or absolutely fail? Remember everyone had a MySpace, now you never even hear about it, Facebook was a surprising switch with it having limited functionality and basically no customization options for your profile like MySpace and some other media’s had.

I want to hear your thoughts, opinions, and speculations about this, let’s start an open and friendly conversation, no hate or trolls, I don’t want all of that and your comments will be deleted and I may even block you from seeing posts like this on your feed and my page. Moto G8 Plus Unboxing & Overview The Confused Camera Phone

It just says that it has a 48 megapixel camera quad pixel. That means pixel burning, it's doing and a twenty five megapixel front-facing camera and also has that ultra wide camera - and this is interesting, stereo speakers - that's why Dolby and it just gives an image - and this is already available in India - it's sold in India, Flipkart.

Three inch screen and just gives us the same information over here, and it says it has a four thousand milliamp hour battery with Turbo Power. So that's a cases pre-applied. This is the new thing that I'm noticing on Motorola devices. The case is actually pre applied, as you can see.

So, let's just remove this case. It'S a very tight fit and I think they're doing this because the back is now a polycarbonate back. They are that they're using itself a fingerprint magnet can get easily scratched. That'S why I think so they are pre applying that this https://onesiti.com/, I think, that's how they want us to use and if you notice, at the back, it looks like a quad camera setup, but guys is not a quad camera.

It'S a triple camera setup and the extra eye lens is just for laser autofocus, same system, small guide, sim ejector tool that we have. Let me keep that to the side, and this should be Type C, so indeed a Type C cable that you're having - and this will be the power brick - and this is supposed to be a 15 watt, a charger that we are getting in the box. So let me keep these things to the side. Let'S look at the handset itself and this has a six point.

Three inch IPS LCD screen and the big thing is that this is supposed to have stereo speakers. That'S would all be so. That is something that we don't find in this price range, but anyways. Let'S look at it here. We have a secondary noise cancellation, microphone, 3.5 mm headphone jack volume, rockers up and down and again this is also made of of polycarbonate plastic guys. Even the buttons feel like that power button here bottom end for the one of the speakers I think of the year pieces also speak of a stereo type C port main microphone, and this would be your sentry.

It comes with 4 gigabytes of RAM and 64gb of storage. So, let's see how much do we have a dedicated slot, no sad to say no dedicated the micro SD card slot they should have given that I frankly feel that's what we get and back that triple camera setup. So let me do one thing: let me just power it on and it's booting and by the time it actually boots up, and I set it up. Let me give you a configuration overview.

This moto G 8 plus, is having a 6.3 inch IPS LCD screen at smart with the Snapdragon 6:65 SOC. It has four gigabytes of RAM and 64gb of internal storage moving to the rear facing camera. It'S a triple camera setup, the main camera, it's a 48 megapixel. Then we also have a 16 megapixel. That'S ultra wide. You also have a 5 megapixel, that's what Deb and I'm moving to the front facing camera up to twenty five megapixel.

It also has stereo speakers and a four thousand milliamp hour battery and Gaga finished. Setting up this device and as you can see, this is typical, Motorola anyways. You even hear that sound and again the good thing is that we don't have a lot of bloatware as you can see, so I'm not stock Android, except for some moto actions that I'll use full apps. For example, if you click here the moto actions and stuff, you can customize what you want: the moto actions and all the things quick capture, fast, flashlight flip for DnB, and all those things pick up to silence.

These are some of the good things that are specific to Motorola phones. We have that on this one also and almost stock Android of left, you have the Android or what do you say? Google pane anyways over here it is just finishing up to setup and, as you can see, we have Dolby. So that's interesting. Let'S open also curious to see stereo speakers on this one. It'S updating! That'S why it's slow? Yes, it generally updates all the apps when it's neon you installing some library, I'm just going to say no for now update, let's just search. It'S having the Snapdragon 665 SOC, which is not bad but again, sort of out there to go, and many of the other smartphone vendors are giving that processor in phones costing about ten thousand rupees, and they should have gone with the seven series like a seven ten Or seven twelve, it's a decent processor, but I would say, if you're sort of a heavy game app, I would not recommend but yeah anyways.

That'S what we get and if you go over here, it's just still doing the updates. If I go here to system and about as you can see my android 9, obviously they should get Android ten later on, but again, Motorola is a little bit slow these days in terms of updates secondary update as of September that we are getting. Hopefully we get even the latest one again, as you can see, we have some gestures on this on this and we also have a again typical stock.

Android experience are, as I have mentioned again, so we have almost dot digital well being is also there on this one. So that's actually nice and let's check the fingerprint scanner. This is actually the fingerprint scanner and it's actually fast, not bad, so it takes half a second but again responsive. One thing I am noticing is that at this power, on/off button is slightly on the top hand side, so I have to stretch my finger to press it.

It should have been over here, I would say, mark yeah, that's something I don't notice now, as you can see, the fingerprint scanner is actually responder and you also get this moto display. Your notifications and stuff will be displayed and if you double tap, you get that and fingerprint, as you can see, not an issue. So that's what you are getting again and that plastic build quality and I think so you've got to use it with the keys.

Otherwise, as you can see, it gets that fingerprint. But let's look at the camera because I feel that's the new USP of this one, even in their marketing. They were touting this as a camera, centric smartphone that 48 megapixel, but let's see how what Motorola did with the same and I'm just going to hit a laugh and say swipe right to open the modes and again these are the photo modes,

Use quotation marks to find a specific phrase

It’s one thing to search for a couple of words, like Sony HT-Z9F soundbar, and find the product(s) you’re seeking. But let’s say you need more specific information — like the dimensions of the speaker drivers inside that soundbar. Searching for HT-Z9F soundbar driver diameter does not return any pages that list that particular spec, nor does including the word inches. Instead, we need to think about how this would exactly be phrased on the page, and use quotation marks to narrow our search.

When you put quotation marks around a collection of words, it tells Google to look for the words only in that order. So, sony HT-Z9F inch drivers (don’t worry, capitalization doesn’t matter) will search for any page that has the words “inch” and “drivers” on it — but not necessarily together. Searching HT-Z9F soundbar “inch drivers” on the other hand, narrows our search considerably, producing a result right at the top that lists the exact spec we’re looking for: 2.5-inch drivers. (If you can’t find the terms you searched for on the resulting page, press Ctrl+F on your keyboard — Command+F on a Mac — to locate your words on that page.)

Bonus tip: If you’re looking for a specific page but aren’t sure the exact words it uses, you can put an asterisk in those quotes to symbolize any word. For example, if you forgot the title of Taylor Swift’s dance-pop single from “1989,” you could search taylor swift “* it off” and find the “Shake It Off” lyrics you’re hunting down.

Exclude words with the minus sign

It’s frustrating when a search returns oodles of results that have nothing to do with what you’re looking for. This is especially common with homonyms — words that are spelled and pronounced the same but have different meanings. For example, let’s say you’re searching for a music group to play at your wedding. Searching for wedding bands brings up a ton of results, but most are for wedding rings — often called bands — not musicians that play at wedding receptions.

The minus sign is your friend here. Think of a word that would appear on all the irrelevant pages — in this case, “jewelry” or “jeweler” is probably a good bet — and include it with a minus sign in your search: wedding bands -jewelry. Just like that, you’ve got yourself a bunch of sites that review wedding bands across the country.

I also use this often for products with similarly-named siblings — say, Apple’s MacBook line, which includes the MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro. Getting too many results for the Air and Pro? Just eliminate them from your search with macbook -air -pro and you’ll get more relevant results.

Narrow your search to a specific time period

If your head is spinning after that last one, here’s an easy tip for you. Occasionally, search results will consist of older articles that have ranked on a given topic, but haven’t been updated to include recent changes. If you encounter this problem, you can put a date restriction on the results by clicking the Tools button under Google’s search bar, and then clicking the “Any Time” drop-down. You can narrow your results to the previous week, month, year, or a custom time frame.

Search your favorite sites with the “site:” operator

If you’re looking for an article you read a while back, but can’t find now — or if you specifically want to see what one of your most trusted sites has to say about a topic — you can use the site: operator to limit your search to that specific publication. (This is especially useful for sites that don’t have a search function — though it’s often better than a site’s built-in search bar, too.)

Let’s say I want to read about the Iran nuclear deal, but I prefer coverage from The New York Times. Instead of just Googling US iran deal for the latest news, I can search site:nytimes.com iran deal to see coverage only from The Times. This also allows me to see everything The Times has done on the topic going back weeks or months, rather than my results getting cluttered with versions of today’s news from other publications.

Add search shortcuts to your browser’s address bar

Ready for a more advanced lesson? Tricks like the site: operator are great, but they take a while to type out — especially if you search for Times content regularly. You can save yourself precious seconds on every search by creating a short keyword for bits of text you search regularly, if your browser supports it, and most do. That way, instead of typing site:nytimes.com every time, you can just type nyt in your browser’s address bar, add your search terms, and get right to the good stuff.

To do this, perform an example search on Google, then copy the URL from the address bar. Using the above example, my URL is:

https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Anytimes.com+iran+deal

This is what we’ll use to create our shortcut. In Chrome, right-click the address bar, choose “Edit Search Engines,” and click “Add” to create a new one with nyt as the keyword. In Firefox, right-click the Bookmarks Bar and create a new bookmark instead with nyt as the keyword.

Paste the search URL you copied earlier into the “Search Engine” or “Location” box, and replace your search terms with %s (making sure to leave in any terms you want to keep as part of the keyword). So, since I want my nyt shortcut to search site:nytimes.com and whatever search terms I add, my URL would look like this:

https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Anytimes.com+%s

See how I replaced iran+deal with %s in the URL? Now, whenever I type nyt into the address bar, I can search The New York Times for any terms I want.

I use this for all kinds of common searches: sites I like (nyt searches site:nytimes %s), authors I trust (jk searches Jolie Kerr %s), or — if you want to get really advanced — other URL tricks, like getting driving directions from Google Maps (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=from+123+main+street+to+%s).

Find the source of a photo with reverse image search

Finally, not all searches are made up of words. Sometimes, it can be handy to know where a certain photo came from, or to find a larger version of it. You probably know you can type a few words to find a photo with Google’s Image Search, but you might not have realized it works in the other direction too: Drag an image into Image Search and Google will find other versions of that photo for you.

A few years ago, I was searching for an apartment, and found one that looked great — it had the number of bedrooms I needed, in the part of town I wanted to be in, and the photos looked nice. But I found it on one of those “members only” apartment listing sites, so I had to pay a monthly subscription in order to get the name, address and contact info of the complex. Not to be outdone, I dragged the building’s photo to my desktop, then dragged it into Google Images. Google immediately found another site that had used that photo: the building’s official website, where I could call or email and ask directly about open units for rent.

Google isn’t the only site that has this feature, either. TinEye is a similar tool with a few more options, if you’re trying to find where the image first appeared. EBay’s iPhone and Android apps also let you search by image, which is useful if you’re trying to find a rare piece of china with no markings, or something like that. It doesn’t always work, but when you’re in a bind, it’s worth a shot — and if nothing else, it may give you another clue to add to your search terms.
