How to be the “it girl” in school ✨💁‍♀️

Academic validation >> external validation (boys, girls, etc.) : academic validation should always come first if you’re in school. ALWAYS. Your grades and your knowledge will take you far in life, not the approval of some random kids who you probably wont ever even see again. You need to know your priorities.

Romanticise it!: make school fun! Romanticise it. Act like the main character because you ARE the main character and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

Study for tests: part of being an “it girl” is actually getting good grades. And how do we get good grades? By studying!! Romanticise studying if you want. But just study. Study study study until you can’t get it wrong. Also- stop working just on motivation. Create a routine or schedule where you get in studying everyday and STICK TO IT.

Confidence: walk, talk and act with confidence and confidence only. walk as if you OWN the room. Know that you are worth a million dollars, OWN THAT. Believe in yourself and your abilities. Remember: “you can’t fit in if you were born to stand out!”

Stop caring about what others think of you. people will hate on you and THATS OKAY. Some people will literally hate on like everything. I heard once (from thewizardliz) that there will be a video of cats playing on the internet and there will be a person that figures out how to hate on it. There will be people who just have nothing to do in their lives except try to bring you down so you need to just ignore it. Be protective of your energy.

Style: it’s okay to hop onto different trends, but try to find your own style. It’s okay if your school has a uniform, you can add a ‘signature’ piece of jewellery to your outfit to make you feel a bit better about yourself. Also use a certain scent/ perfume on yourself that just makes you feel a bit more.. ✨you.✨ (also remember it’s perfectly alright to change your style if you get bored once in a while!)

Good hygiene: brush your teeth. Comb your hair. Shower. Make sure your lips aren’t crusty musty dusty. Iron your clothes. Make sure you feel fresh and clean everyday.

Dethklok's texting quirks

Nathan: I know a lot of people headcanon him to constantly write in caps lock but I find that visually exhausting so I like to imagine he always writes periods to convey his curtness instead. Capitalizes the first letter of his sentences too. He does, however, forget about commas a lot. When he's angry or impatient he just sends single words with periods.

Pickles: Never capitalizes, rarely uses periods and makes a lot of typos that he doesn't care about fixing. Additionally, he has autocorrect on, which changes the words of his sentences often. He doesn't care about that either and just sends as if and lets the others figure out. Essentially: Pickles' texts are like ancient runes that need deciphering. When he's intoxicated it's even worse.

Skwisgaar: He doesn't like texting much at all so if he must, he responds in monosyllables like "ja" and "ok" but mostly he abuses the thumbs up emoji. @mirrorshards and I really like the idea of him reacting to messages he cares about with 🎸 (which Toki copies at some point much to Skwisgaar's chagrin). He tends to leave people on read except for Nathan.

Toki: Uses exclamation marks a lot when he's excited and caps lock when he's angry. He also likes using face emojis to convey his emotions. His favorites are the cat-themed ones, obviously. Has a tendency to break his sentences in several messages instead of sending just one with the whole thing. Drives Murderface nuts particularly. Enjoyer of online content, he loves sending gifs and cat videos. His chat with Skwisgaar has him sharing constant links with very sporadic replies from the former.

Murderface: The comic had him writing in 1337 which I find amazing but I like the idea that he mostly does it to look trendy or cool to fans. Privately I think he writes pretty normally and is spiritually the opposite to Toki in that instead of sending a lot of messages he sends a whole paragraph. Ironically, since Dethklok is comprised of a bunch of lazy asses, that deters them from even reading past the first line of his message.

Charles: He's in the chat and read everything but very rarely replies unless he's very disappointed with Dethklok or trying to summon a meeting. Of course, his punctuation and grammar are impeccable which causes him to get made fun of by Dethklok for being a robot.

Geras

He may be immortal, but that doesn't mean he just sits in a room all day. Geras is endlessly curious, as this is a core part of his very being. Observing and learning new things is both his primary function and an endless font of joy.

He knows how lonely Liu Kang is. Knows that even he can't fill the void left in his masters heart. Time for him is just a function, whereas for Liu Kang, it is and endless road of isolation

Will search up humans in funny situations on the hourglass to watch. It's like his version of FAILARMY.

Liu Kang

Is and has been incredibly lonely for eons. He really thought he would fill the void after reuniting with his old friends, but the feeling isn't the same. They don't know him. Not really.

Once he found a way to connect to his Titan friends, he visits them often. Being able to talk with Lord Raiden again alleviated the strain on his heart tenfold. Reuniting with Kung Lao, (his boy, his bro!!) has also helped give him hope for the next few eons. Same goes for Kitana. (She was the one to find him again after the dust settled.)

His brother is alive in his timeline. Of course they have no relationship, Liu choosing not to intervene due to fears of drawing danger to him. Instead of becoming a shaolin monk, Chan lives happily in the united states as an Ice Road Trucker.

Shang Stung

Has BPD and narcissistic personality disorder. This severely impacted his ability to live peacefully in society and pushed him to grifting. Taking advantage of others was less exhausting than pretending to be a friendly employee to some shopkeeper.

He is half human. Shang's mother traveled to outworld during the last tournament 100 years ago. She was a servant to Liu Kang's champions but ended up running away with a disgraced Edenian.

Doesn't identify as a specific gender, especially after learning shapeshifting. Will often times swap between whatever he feels like that day.

Syzoth

Double jointed and hyper flexible. Shang Stung had to find a way to control him other than shackles, cuz he could always slip out no matter how tight they were.

He is very at ease around children, and falls back into dad mode immediately. Is also a purveyor of terrible dad jokes.

Has Gilberts Syndrome. His species use of bile/acid attacks puts a lot of strain on his liver. Due to his rough living, he didn't get adequate nutrition and now his body struggles to keep balanced out humors.

Only needs to eat once a week, but will happily snack if something tasty comes across his path.

Shao

Has no biological children. Despite his family's standing and pressure to continue the prestigious line, Shao has never taken a wife. Multiple concubines and bastards, but no wife or suitable heirs.

He doesn't view any of the young men and women he mentors as children, just tools. Even though he saw himself in young Reiko, his affection is entirely dependent on his loyalty. Reiko is more of an extension of himself, a way to overcompensate for what he lacks.

Has IBS.

Kuai Liang

He left the Lin Kuei a few years after Tomas was adopted. At odds with his father at the time, he left to go live with their allied clan: the Syrai Ryu. He was born a cryomancer like Bi Han, but chose to pursue pyromancy to distance himself from his lineage. Though able to wield fire, he is still weak to it. When he finally returned home, his father welcomes him back like the prodigal son he was. Bi han deeply, deeply resented this.

Got his tattoo in Hong Kong while he was totally plastered (not a reputable place. They even got the tattoo wrong lol)

Unreadable poker face. DO NOT play cards against this man.

Kenshi

Was forced to drop out of high school to support his family when his older brother was killed, and subsequently got wrapped up in yakuza shit. Has since taken his high school equivalency test (GED) and passed with flying colors

Is addicted to caffeine.

LOVES holidays! Especially Christmas. He may not get all his friends gifts, but the ones he does give are very well thought out and personal.

Bi Han

Doesn't take care of himself or maintain his appearance very well. But he basically won the genetic lottery so it's not that noticeable.

Has a type A personality and is a perfectionist. But he is actually a very gracious person at heart, and will silently shoulder the brunt of responsibility to spare his brothers.

Was happy to mentor Tomas when he first arrived, even though Kuai and Tomas had the stronger friendship. His attitude changed, however, when Tomas choose to stay after Kuai ran off. Instead of seeing the loyalty of Tomas's decision, he saw it as a shallow way to win his fathers favor.

(he couldn't see it was actually jealously. That Kuai could have a choice to leave but he didn't. Tomas had an actual valid reason to want to leave, but he is the one remaining? Bi Han has big feelings and does not process them well )

Quan Chi

Once he started losing his hair, he decided to go bald.

Much prefers to spend his time in the Netherrealm. His dominion there is near absolute, and he would much rather be in the company of those subservient to him. He doesn't see anything wrong with this dynamic, believing this the superior to mutual friendship. (this is laughably hypocritical given his relationship to Shang mf Tsung)

Indulges in all kinds of delicious foods. Sweets, fine drink, rare cuts of meat- the works. Even if he dislikes it, he will eat it anyway just for the sake of it. He made himself ill by eating an entire box of chocolate once.

Havik

Was born in secret to slave parents. They hid him from the government for as long as they could, and so he was able to live a relatively carefree childhood. Other's his age, and of unsanctioned birth, would be seized by the state and put to work as soon as possible.

Fierce passion aside, Havik is very introspective. When not fighting, he often sits in silent contemplation for hours at a time. Before his mind begins to degrade from the blood magic use, he would sit and scrutinize every action he took.

Unlike Quan Chi, Havik cannot bring himself to indulge in luxuries. He feels tremendous guilt given how many of his people are still unable to enjoy even the barest bit of comfort.

He leaves his dick and balls at home for safe keeping.

i was talking about how the radqueer space has got 'more and more groomers', he was saying 'they always weasel their way in when people don't kick them out'. on one hand, radqueers are notably uncaring when someone is pro contact or anti consent. but on the other hand - it's partly Tumblr moderation's fault - i've tried to report anti-consent people, people literally identifying as being 'pro rape and not in a roleplay sense', and they don't do much. Or if they do ban the account, the person just makes another the next day.

also he agreed that being 'uncaring about contact discourse' is weird and i feel validated right now. (yes! it is good to care about bestiality and child-adult sex being abusive!! someone else can see the obvious thing!!)

he brought up (paraphrasing here,) "maybe there should just be a community that like, radqueer but specifically not letting pro-contact and anti-consent people in" and i was like yeah... why isn't there just an "anti contact radqueer" community... i feel like this could be a thing.

brainstorming about "anti contact radqueer" being a thing:

a tag/space/ideology/community for radqueers who want to stop being in 'the same community' with people advocating for sex between adults and children, and bestiality

it feels a lot more simple than making Another blankqueer stance. it's just... radqueer but anti contact. so much more simple, and not tied to a specific aesthetic or person.

i think the "anti contact" part should be specifically about MAP & zoo. it's kinda irrelevant to bring up stuff like "what about objectophilic contact" (we all think that's fine), or "what about necrophilic contact" (i think the community generally agrees that you should just respect someone's wishes for what happens after they die. and if they donate their body to necrophiles, then its their right to do so)

could be abbreviated to something like "ACRQ", so it's easier to type/tag. i don't think anyone else is heavily invested in using this acronym

the flag:

there's vocalux's anti c para radqueer flag. tbh i dont like this flag very much - no hate to the creator, i don't want this to sound mean - but i would design it differently. the semi-transparent Xs are hard to replicate. i don't really like the colors. i would like a flag that is more obviously radqueer… like with a spectrum like the popular one maybe? maybe i'll try to design my own someday if i feel like it

the pre-radqueer flag is very swag and aligns a lot with what i'm thinking, but "pre-radqueer / not radqueer enough (ironic)" is slightly different in concept to an "anti contact radqueer" flag

so i have several different universes. to start us off, my ttrpg ocs. or specifically one ttrpg oc, because you already heard about the other ones i care most about that arent just rip-offs of fictional characters i like.

this is virginia. she's my character for my best friend's d&d campaign where we play as mobsters doing mobster things and she's my favourite ttrpg character i've made to date. i won't tell you much about her because i've actually written some stuff for her so you can find out about her from that as opposed to me just telling you! read about her here!!!

next up.... uhhh ok before i tell you about my other ocs im just gonna say that a lot of this stuff is gonna be vague as hell because i'm basically in a perpetual state of revamping and revising these stories.

so first off we have my oldest and dearest to my heart universe which um. ironically is the only one that remains untitled. actually you know what this one takes a lot of explaining because it's got a lot of complex worldbuilding so i'll come back and tell you about this one some other time, ok? i dont really have the strength rn to write about it 😭

ok then we have dreambound, which is a fantasy story that i made based on a dream i had once 🔥it's the story of a young princess called yavalina (yava for short) (she/her) getting hit with a sleeping spell right before her coronation, and her consciouscness is transported to a maaagical world borne of her dreams!!! though like i cant stress this enough its an actual real world, she's not just like. hallucinating. the people in there are real.

anyway in order to find out how to break the sleeping spell and get back home she has to travel to the magical wishing tree at the heart of the ever-shifting Circadian Forest, where the fabric of this world's reality is the thinnest and the connections to other dream worlds (there is one for everybody from yava's world!) are the strongest! to assist her on this journey she enlists the help of senfrey (he/him), a mage whose magical heirloom compass shows a way through the forest. they set off, and along their journey meet many waAaAacky characters, grow as people, etc etc, yknow, typical hero's journey stuff.

the crux of this story is anticipatory grief. yava is scared of how much fun she's having and how much she likes spending time with senfrey, because she knows that once their journey comes to an end, they'll part ways forever. her arc revolves around her making peace with this fact.

here's some old-ish drawings of them! yava's the cat, senfrey is the axolotl! also fun fact, this universe pulls from omori a lot aesthetic wise, that's why yava's monochrome.

neeeeext up we have fran finchley, which is the result of me going "man harry potter has such cool aesthetics, too bad its a shit series with a shit author". so this is an extremely self-indulgent magic school story, set in a fictionalized version of great britiain, which focuses on a 13 y/o girl named frances finchley (fran for short) (they/them) who. yknow. starts attending a magic school. but like instead of being awesome and making lots of friends, nobody really likes them cause they're strange (autistic) 👍instead they become friends with this new teacher named crowheart knockwood (they/them)!!! i cant believe we're both goth, trans and autistic!!! they find a kindred soul in one another bc crowheart's not human, they're part of a species known as shadowfolk!! and shadowfolk are generally pretty negatively stereotyped by humans so crowheart doesnt quite fit in among them but they were also raised by humans, so the isolationist shadowfolk community doesnt rly accept them either 👍but yeah uhhhh they are epic friends and do shenanigans

this story is generally super self-indulgent, fran is the most mega turbo self-insert to have ever self-inserted, the whole thing's got a gothic aesthetic cause im goth (including both fran and crowheart being goth in-universe), and they also both have corvids associated with them cause i love corvids (fran is associated with jackdaws and crowheart with. well. crows. hooded crows to be precise)

i only have incredibly shitty drawings of these two and tumblr is freaking out when i try to put them here so i guess its not meant to be. maybe i'll show you when i make some better drawings of them.

and finally, there's one that is also untitled but in my oc discord channel is labeled as "julius & adam romantic buddies". i came up with it when we were learning about character archetypes in romantic (the era not the genre) literature in school and i was like "hey wouldn't it be funny if a wertherian hero and a byronic hero were friends"

basically:

a wertherian hero is a character with an active imagination, usually a poet, who feels misunderstood and like they do not belong in this world and are very sad and depressed about it. usually also suffer from an unrequited love. often also suicidal

a byronic hero is a rebellious individualist, a mysterious, brooding figure at odds with the world. they're haunted by their past, often because they committed some great evil in it. they also typically have strong convictions and ideals which they perceive as superior to others, which makes them come off as arrogant.

so in the context of this story, the byronic hero is adam (he/him), an immortal being haunted by his past misdeeds (and perhaps even a lost love....) who is now a hermit and just wants to live his life undisturbed.

and the wertherian hero is julius (also he/him), a young poet struggling to make ends meet and find love.

through shenanigans which i have not figured out yet, they become roommates. cue dumbass sitcom hijinks

they eventually grow to value each other and become awesome friends (and maybe even... lovers... but idk idk!!!)

this is them... julius is the sheep, adam's the big shadowy thing... i actually got so pissed at how shitty adam looks in the first picture that i went and drew a new thing of him right now, which is the second picture. maybe i'll draw an updated julius sometime too

Oooo we’ll go on a long ramble about this because I’m very passionate about our username origin, so we’ll tell you- When we were younger, we used to be heavily into Markiplier, watching his videos almost daily, and it’s through him (and through a very close family friend of ours) that we were introduced to FNAF; we fell in love with the franchise and we’ve been in the Fandom ever since, and since Markiplier’s the King (XD), we thought to ourselves: “Why not call ourselves the Queen?” It’s very fun, and it makes me happy, so I did :3 (The 1987 in our username refers to one of the most memorable and memable moments in the franchise hehe)

🎮 VIDEO GAME CONTROLLER — what are three of your oc's favorite hobbies?

The obvious one: cooking. Like, who in the Yamamoto household doesn't cook?

The supportive one: watching sports. Playing is usually out of the question, but she'll be rooting for Takeshi at every game.

The one not many know about: crafts. Her favorites are cardmaking, lettering, and scrapbooking.

After an eye injury, her eyesight not only worsened but also became more sensitive to light changes. She needs more time than average to adjust to brighter and darker environments.

She's been a mess since she was a baby. Rio often woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep until a couple of hours later. It still happens to her from time to time, and it's almost impossible for her to rise early in the morning.

Her main weapons are an iron fan and a katana, but she can give deadly use to a kitchen knife if necessary.

Traditional Japanese breakfast made by dad if she wakes up on time (spoiler alert: it rarely happens without external help), or a rushed snack if not.

Her mother named her after a kind of cherry blossom tree, and because of that, Hibari usually loses his will to fight around her after being infected with the sakura-kura disease.

She grew out her hair because the kids at school often mistook her with Takeshi. It kept happening despite it.

She's part of the sports committee of Namimori's student council. She always skips morning meetings, and nobody notices it. (Hibari does notice and is not happy about it, oops).

- Besides One Piece, his other well known role is Black Cat from the movie series Black Ops Squad. Zoro is also a part of the series as the main protagonist whilst Sanji is one of the antagonists and his character is like a male version of the Baroness who gleefully wrecked havoc on the heroes and also has sexual tension with Zoro’s character

Typically doing the Korean heart fingers for some reason. Often with cat ears but I didn't bother to put those here.

I assumed they were ironic at first, but they very clearly are not given how many times I was sent them on twitter lmfao. I've seen way too people using drawings of usually Leon Kennedy or James Sunderland wearing a trans or specific branch of the LGBTQIA+ shirt as actual "proof" that either the character supports it or the other person is wrong in the argument.

Usually it's people posting them on posts about Women's Rights as a way to call us transphobic, as if it adds literally anything to the discussion. Like oh no, don't send me your low quality shitty drawing of Leon in a trans shirt. My entire response is ruined. Oh no. The second most common one is them sending them to people who point out Leon or James isn't trans on posts where they show up to harass random people discussing random shit related to the games.

Anyways case in point, if people are free to post low quality drawings of Leon Kennedy with a trans rights shirt with the totally not bullshit claim Leon is a trans right supporter or trans himself, then I'm free to post my low quality Leon Kennedy with a Women's Suffragette shirt and say that Leon S. Kennedy canonically supports women's rights and not having our spaces invaded by men trying to take our rights from us

I find the idea of it all together just cringe, but cringey people gonna cringe. I really can't imagine attempting to "win an argument" by sending reaction images but welcome to Twitter; home of brainlets with no good arguments what so ever. It was kinda fun and unique though to draw a idea I not only thought was stupid, but something I would never personally do! I need to practice art I'm not invested in personally more. It feels good to just draw shit I'm not invested in massively. Like a weight off ones shoulders to not have to think :) I wanna do a edit of this of Leon wears a RCPD version. The vibrant colors hurt my eyes a bit. I do love his dinosaur emoji pants though. It's not one of my favorite drawings I've done, Leon's face is a bit weird and so is his hands but it's fine I guess. It's def a 4.5/10 on my own art scale. I learned art things from it anyways. I need to change my shading and lineart abilities.
