Leshy would be a well balanced father, he knows when to treat you sweetly and he knows when you need to be scolded. For me Leshy is one of the most leisurely patrons, so you can have plenty of free time to do any kind of parent and child activity.

I really believe that Leshy would teach you how to make wooden figures. Just you, his dear child, and him, making some wooden figures together. Did you cut yourself with the knife? Of course, don't worry, Leshy will have his full attention for you and take care of your cut. Leshy isn't desperate with certain injuries of yours, of course he's worried, but he knows you're going to be fine.

Leshy will have a hard time making food for you... Seeing how he's not very fond of cooking. Having some cookbooks would be nice right now...

Leshy tends to sleep hugging you, he wants to make sure you're warm, the woods usually tend to be cold, and he would hate to see his dear child have to suffer from a cold nose and sneezing.

Leshy will teach you how to hunt, write, read, how to skin animals without getting blood on you, etc. Basics for you to survive in the forest if at some point you want to live alone.

Also, Leshy tells you bedtime stories! He was hesitant at first, but seeing how insistent you were, he couldn't say 'no' to your lovely smile.

I bet Grimora has dreamed/wanted at some point in her life to have a child, so trust me, you are a blessing in her life!

Grimora showers you with verbal support. You did a drawing of her? "Why, isn't this splendid my child! I'm truly proud of you Y/N. Keep drawing and I bet you'll be even better than uncle Magnificus!". You finish the duties Grimora sent you to do? "Good job Y/N! I know that I could always trust you." Or anything else that you made a effort? "Magnificent Y/N! I'm so happy to hear this news!"

She doesn't spoil you, but Grimora clearly gives the attention every child needs to you and you alone. Grimora doesn't just want to be your mother, she wants to be your friend.

Grimora loves to teach you things, even the simplest things, like sewing or how to make tea. And after that the two of you try to sew something together while she listens to you talk about your day.

Magnificus being a father figure is similar to Leshy, but more protective. Leshy trusts you and knows you can get by with his learnings, while Magnificus is extremely protective of you.

He always asks where you're going and who your new friends are. Don't get him wrong, Magnificus its just worried and care about you, both your physical and mental health. He wants to make it more than clear that you are not just anyone, but the child of Magnificus. Perhaps this sudden fame and a lot of people treating you like royalty might irritate you slightly, so it would be best to talk to Magnificus about the situation if that's what bothers you, so he can make an attempt to sort things out.

I don't think Magnificus is one of the best fathers, so he puts a lot of expectations on you as his child, but over time he realizes that you are not a saint and sometimes you just don't have the physical/mental strength to do certain things , he tries to lighten the weight of expectations and responsibilities on you while you're still just a kid, you deserve to be free :]

And like Grimora, Magnificus likes to shower you with verbal support, always telling you he's proud of you for doing your chores. Sometimes, he even gives you gifts that he knows you like!

Magnificus is also a great listener. The moment between the two of you while Magnificus paints a picture and you talk endlessly about your interests is pleasant for him. Speaking of painting, you're the first person he shows the paintings he's done!

Oof, P03 is a tough one.

P03 never planned or was interested in having a child, and yet, here you are.

P03 is horrible at showing the affection they have for someone. The easiest type of affection for P03 to express affection is simply helping you with whatever difficulties you are having.

They help you pick up things you can't reach for your size, helps you with tasks you're having and listens to you talk about the horrible day you had (with a bonus of them calling whoever bothered you an asshole. And having something against that person after that day).

And of course P03 will teach you strategies and how to play cards, saying that "I don't want to suffer the shame of having a horrible player as a child", but in fact he meant "Omfg I don't want anyone calling my kid a loser I want them to be the best so they can be proud of themselfand not have their mental health destroyed by idiots"

And when P03 praises a drawing you made for it or completed a task or won a card battle, it just says "Good job Y/N", with a lil' pat pat in your head. But he SWEARS he's been so positively affected by the things you've done, he just has a big problem expressing it. So please, do tell him if you don't feel appreciated enough, and P03 will make an attempt to show his true feeling more.

Huu we're so close to the end....let's start with vol13! Chapter 1-3 review under the cut.

Again trigger warning for suicide mention, but it's late Trimax so who's really surprised.

(the japanese cover seems to be different than the english one, doesn't it?) Anyway very cool cover, I really like this one! And it's Vash with a black coat...! Him with black hair and black coat is giving me emotions!

Chapter 1:

I'm not sure I get this right, but as I understand it Vash deflected the shots by Chronica. If that is correct, well then thanks for nothing Chronica (grumbles) Vash's obvious struggle to keep everybody out of harm, plants and humans alike, is so heartbreaking to watch.

That panel is soooo good though. I'm kissing every drawing in these late volumes because they all are amazing. What I especially love about Nightow's drawing, besides the obvious great feeling for dynamic and posing is how he sometimes lets parts vanish in the shadows or dust, much like we don't get to see Legato's lower body here. Drawing everything out and putting too much detail into the pages would really kill the atmosphere, I think...and so it let's us focus on what's important!

He already got nearly everything taken from him!! How much further do you want to go? D: (until the end of course, rhetorical question)

At this point I'm assuming Knives has developped a pavlovian reaction of yawning around Legato.

But really, if there every really was some good-hearted feeling towards Legato, any kind of affection...I feel like it's gone at this point. The point when Knives turned all his attention towards Vash and started his quest of liberating the plants was the moment he lost all interest in Legato as a companion, which left only Legato, the tool.

Just so that I'm getting this right, Legato regrets that Vash is already this finished, that he won't get to have this big all-out fight to really prove to Knives what he can do for him, correct?

They really got Legato's exaggerated hand movements right in Stampede! I really want to see where they'll be going with his character in the next season.

Chapter 2:

Aw look here, neither Wolfwood nor Livio are really part of the ghg in Vash's mind in this moment anymore.

It's the trinity of gun-to-face Trimax. (Hm, these look really cool in a row)

What a nice comparison this is to the time, Wolfwood hold the gun against his head and told Vash to shoot! Wolfwood did it because he thought Vash's ideals would get him nowhere, and he needed to be prepared to kill to survive and protect...but Legato, he just wants Vash to suffer by casting away his belief. Also he knows Vash won't do it...

I'm enjoying their mid-fight talks so much

Omg she's smiling! She does enjoy fighting after all!

And Livio being so incredibly cute in this pose here :D He's really stormed his way in all our hearts at this point.

Chapter 3:

The stuff with the space ships trying to land is very interesting too! I just don't have that much to say so no screenshots...also I still don't really get what the tricking part of Chronica's plan is? I can't remember so I'll have to wait and see.

I love that he's so weird. What a panel.

No wonder Legato hates Vash so much if that is what he thinks. Would it be true, though? That's in interesting idea...in a world where there was no Vash, and the rest would still have happened the same way, could Legato have been more to Knives? Well, it's very hypothetical, but who knows. Maybe these two would have happily destroyed the world together without anyone holding them back.

I'm happy, this chapter is full of so many fun Livio panels!

With the best part being this little emote face in his speech bubble?? How cute is that! New headcanon, Livio in any au WOULD write messages with emotes after every sentence.

As a crimsonfang enjoyer I'm being very well fed with these interactions.

Their dynamic, especially with Elendira getting more and more pissed off, is SO fun! And such a contrast to the fight between Vash and Legato...actually, it's a good decision to have this fight being a bit fun at times, if it were depressing as well, I don't know how well you'd be able to get past this volume.

And Livio getting more motivated with this clothing, which is his reminder that he has something worth protecting and fighting for, is such a sweet note.

Thought I'd do a little bit of a personal update! I'm doing the reorganising thing which is still slow but really motivating - enough that I'm having good energy days where I'm getting more done! I should be able to start work on the new fish tank soon!

So I'm in the process of redoing my entire office just to fit this fish thank (which has now been leak tested so we're good to go), as well as reorganising based on tips I picked up from this book for people with ADHD that I've found massively helpful. Honestly it's been great for helping me just THROW SHIT OUT because while I can have my moments of ruthless detachment and clear inventory my family is very much a 'use/reuse/reappropriate' kind of deal, which while great often gives me hesitation throwing stuff out primarily because of that pressure - especially when I'm stuck living with them. Now I know it's necessary to get everything to a state where it will STAY organised.

It's also let me take inventory of the stupid amount of traditional media art supplies which have been sitting there since high school in near pristine unused condition (we are talking a LOT of very useable acrylic paints here) and get them all organised. After chatting with my psychologist yesterday I've bought more/replacements for things I had to throw out (literally dry as a bone markers) as she literally said she 'very much encouraged' my idea of starting a visual art diary to help process emotions and stuff.

I know over the years my inspiration to do stuff has withered, usually because it's been hammered by bad moods (caused primarily by external forces I could not control on top of my already battered neurology). I know now because of shit in my past that has been largely unresolved, art has never been an outlet for emotions for me because I'm so afraid of taking up space. Despite emotions being a powerful source for art, I rarely draw on them both because I have spent so much time trying not to feel them or hiding them because unfortunately my history is one of a lot of rejection, right down to a very young age where my caregivers should have been way more on the ball. It's helped me acknowledge my way of expressing love and affection is kind of fucked - when I feel close to someone or like them a lot it has the opposite effect where I instinctively want to pull away from them because I'm scared I'm going to 'ruin it', like my life is tainted and by associating with them I'll drag them down somehow. I know it's silly but it's very hard to get past because it's automatic - that was the only way I was guarenteed to get affection, if I was the most borin, biddable, palatable child in existence who caused no problems, even if it meant enduring physical and emotional pain alone. I inherently find it hard to trust people being genuine about liking me as a person because I'm just waiting for the shoe to drop when they realise I'm too much hassle - which unfortunately was the circumstance my relationship ended around so yeah, that did not fucking help. Basically I go from being really comfortable around someone to masking intensely and yeah that is NOT GOOD. I also legit feel the reason I have alexytheimia is because I had to develop a buffer so early in my life just to survive as far as I have.

I'm hoping art journalling will help me process some of those thoughts and feelings and I still want to try and show them, just to show myself they DO have value, they are a valid part of the human experience and they should be allowed to take up space - I do not need to hide them away or cut pieces of myself out to become more 'palateable' to people. So yeah um, I guess there will be some vent art, I don't know if I'll post only to my art blog or here because it's more sketchy shit and I reserve the art blog for finished pieces now ... either way knowing me it's going to be highly metaphorical and symbolic so I don't know how 'triggering' it could be but either way I'll probably tag the absolute shit out of it just to make sure I don't adversely effect someone (yes I am aware of the irony in me saying that as it's basically me trying to 'not ruin' things again but even putting it out there at all is a big enough step - also tags are just basic decency).

So uh ... That's what I've been up to? Also why I've been kind of shit about WIP Wednesday tagging and responding to other tag games (which I am now once again remembering a bunch of that I STILL have sitting in my motifs cause I still wanna do them ; m ;) I think I tend to get something like reverse SAD this time of year, arguably for the same reasons SAD develops - it gets so damn hot that I have the curtains closed in my office (which has the biggest window in the house) all day to keep the heat out. So arguably I have just made 'tiny dark winter' for about two months because I ain't going outside when it's over 30C (aka the temp tomorrow. And the day after THAT. Fuck I hate summer). Just instead of dark and cold it's dark and sweaty - feeling clammy also being a sensory problem for me so all around BAD TIME until the season changes :/

Outside of all that I'm speculating writing a wlw romance in a western setting because I have had on off cowboy rot since forever and I should probably do something with that already. Currently speculative Native American love interest/secondary protagonist with a background that probably touches on maybe the boarding schools and then reconnection with culture. We've had similar stories with our indigenous population in Australia unfortunately (colonialism is a plague) so I can sort of have some understanding but I probably need to hit the books on that one. For any Americans/Canadians reading this if you know some good books, PLEASE send me your references, I really want to make sure I do this right. I reblogged a post a few days ago about how Native Americans are often dehumanised in westerns and they just become part of the landscape, and I really want to push against that. Also do some contrasting against how oppressive western colonial era culture was by comparison to native culture honestly because I feel that would be a really interesting dynamic. Idk when/if stuff with this project will start happening but we'll see.

Tiny p.s. living with my parents now is very different from when I was a child, I know the people who caused me hurt are long, long gone. They are not the same people anymore - so I am okay! It's still frustrating but more for the reasons of wishing I had my own (bigger) space to live in and put all my stuff and just 'I am a 30 year old extremely supressed lesbian speed running puberty and this environment is not conducive to exploring that' if anything. While I'm out with my Mum I can't like ... talk about that shit lol. So yeah, frustrating but for entirely different reasons. Just clearing that up.

I am celebrating reaching 800 followers last month and this month marking my one year anniversary of being back on Tumblr! I'm so happy to be a part of a great community of supportive and friendly writers and artists.

So this isn’t your traditional fic rec. Yes, I have read a lot of great fanfiction on this site -- you can find most of that under my #fic rec tag through this blog. Also, all my writer mutuals are amazing and their masterlists should be read thoroughly. Some specific folks are tagged at the bottom of this post.

This list, though, is to get a chance to wax poetic about the pieces of fiction I have read on this site that have shaped me in some way. I think in a way, we are all sponges, picking up things and leaking them out as we move about our lives. This list is my chance at naming the works that have affected me deeply and that I think about on the regular.

This is organized in somewhat of a chronological order as to when I read the fics. Some will be linked inside paragraphs, some will be listed by character.

The fic I have reread more than any other on this website is Futile Devices by @zeldasayer. There’s one line in it that has shaped my writing: “You both speak the hushed language of female friendship, the touches that burn, and advances unwanted. Crying in bathtubs and screaming into the rain because you just wanted to feel alive — but not like this.” These words have rung in my ears for months now and I can draw a clear line from that to my Jonathan x readers. I cannot overstate how influential Zelda's writing is to my growth and aspirations.

I lied I guess, this isn't in chronological order but next up is the author @dirty-holy-things. I met Ashten through a discord server that (no cap) changed my life. I beta'd a fic for Ashten and it was the first Din fic that I ever read. The Space Between (your heart & mine) taught me the peak of world building and pacing and character development in a long fic. I'll admire Ashten and her writing till the end of time. Thank you.

The next movement was authored by the wonderful @acedameron. The first was Inhale, Exhale, which in fact was the first Oscar fic I ever reblogged (the only historical account I have of reading fic). Then Music Appreciation Fucked Me Up and taught me what PWP could (and maybe should?) be. Next in chronology was Cloudless Girl. This piece, oh my, this piece opened many a door in showing me how to work a motif and then let's not mention the prof x student thing. HA. And finally Graceless is what I desperately search for with all the Poe slash (and Finnpoe and Dinpoe and Dincobb and Cobbpoe and so on and so forth) that I read.

I had never seen Ex Machina when I read Doppelgänger by @brandyllyn for the first time. OOF it changed me.

I vividly remember tearing through the first 13 chapters or so of Magnetic, sitting in my car before work. @youvebeenlivingfictional made me obsessed with Nathan. So much of my time at that job was just grayed out, thinking about one Nathan Bateman and his penis (and his personality).

Is it weird to rec a fic I co-authored? Oh well, I'm going to anyway. Writing Part of Me Now showed me the inside of my effervescent O's mind and I'll be forever grateful for it.

The first Leto x reader fic I read was The Honorable Duke by @foxilayde. I think it is The Best Duke Leto on this website. No Cap. I remember screaming at my discord server to read it because I loved it so much.

I think the number one fic I have spent time proselytizing for is Heavy Metal Lover by @mypoisonedvine. This was the first fic I read with domme!reader. (now, this concept occupies a distinct amount of my brain capacity at all time. [re: i’m sitting at a brewery, i see someone, i know immediately that they’re the kind of guy that would like to be tied up, even if they don’t know it yet.] do i do anything about these thoughts? Heck no.). I digress. I love this series. It definitely showcases what character-driven smut is and should be. It’s beautiful and cathartic and i grew me to the person i am today.

Speaking of catharsis, that’s exactly what I felt reading A Ballad for the Rats by @r0b0tb0y. Then Chenini Wolf came for me in my lit nerdiness.

Congrats!!! I discovered you right at the beginning of my obsession for Paul Dano and I have to admit, it's rare that I follow a person! Your writing is so captivating, I didn't want to miss your writings. When you started showing interest in Eddie Munson, I was a little disappointed and was afraid you were going to give up on Dano completely, buuuuuuut… I fell in love with Munson, of course. And realized that no matter what characters you like, I'm going to keep following you. You are part of my daily life and you have a place in my heart!

The first impression I give is not positive, according to my friends, colleagues and classmates, I look angry and cold. My gothic/metal/i dontknowbutitsalt style doesn't help me. Yet, I am pretty cheerful and have an easy laugh. I am happy to be here !

I am very nervous and anxious, my primary emotion is fear. I am afraid of death, storms, infinity, space, in short, my partner must accept that I am Shaggy AND Scooby.

It's hard to get my trust. It makes me feel like a princess in a castle that is protected by a dragon. One mistake and it's death, one wrong move and there's no going back, the trust is lost forever. And when it comes to my love life, oof… I'm demisexual, it's a bit impossible to win my heart. I'm looking for a Gomez Addams (AND I WILL FIND HIM).

I have BPD. My mood swings are drastic, it is not easy to live with this disorder (for others and for me). I tend to push away people who want to get to know me or give me affection, because I am afraid of abandonment, but I am also afraid of hurting them.

I spend my free time writing, drawing, sewing, knitting and crocheting! … and playing Stardew Valley. No, I won't say how many hours I have at this game, it's terrifying.

as for a stranger things matchup: im going to have to say eddie! for starters i think he would totally feel you on the "not positive" first impression thing (which i also totally get too lmao one of my friends recently told me he's wanted to be my friend since he first met me but always put off talking to me because i "looked angry" LMAOO) But yeah, no a lot of people think eddie is "scary" at first glance but it turns out underneath that he's a total sweetheart! so, on that front- you two will definitely know what it feels like to be judged as something you're not at first glance.

secondly, you say you have issues with trust, which is why i think eddie would be a good match for you, as we can see in szn 4 he's like, incredibly loyal to his friends, and he really cares about them a lot, he is not the type to ever get close to breaking your trust once he has it, he's the kind of guy that wants to earn your trust and keep it.

on the anxiety front too, he's also a great partner! while clearly being skittish at times himself, he does seem to try to make the people around him comfortable! for instance, the drug deal scene with chrissy: she's clearly nervous but eddie takes to lightening the mood, he makes her laugh and doesn't take himself too seriously and overall really just helps relieve any of the intensity in the air!

also- eddie would think your hobbies are totally cool, especially in regards to sewing! you could help him with his battle jackets, or patch pants,and DIY-ing his clothes since that's a huge part of the scene!

overall i think of the stranger things characters, eddie would be your best match! :) i hope you are satisfied with your match and again, thank you dearly for your kind kind words <33

Oof...depends?  If it’s a hook up because he needs to get stress out, that’s all it’s going to be - a  quick in and out with almost no talking or eye contact.  When it’s someone he is actually interested in he likes to take things much slower.  He’s a person of sensations and showmanship so he’s going to make sure he and his partner get a good experience out of it.  He struggles not to crack jokes and just be in the moment - he gets really caught up in how he is appearing; not even necessarily to his partner but to the image in his mind of how it should go.  Breaking down that barrier is going to be a challenge and at the center of it is a large clown with no idea what genuine intimacy is.

Doesn’t have much time for it.  Sometimes will try to sneak one in before sleeping but he would honestly just rather go to bed at the end of the night.  Has ABSOLUTLY passed out mid wank.  More likely to do it when he’s on tour because there’s less going on that he needs to be involved in - it’s already all set to go and he just has to show up.  It’s more of a way to make time pass.  BUT if he’s got someone he’s thinking about while doing it then it’s a different story. Being listened to and asked about his thoughts on deep topics, genuine compliments about him as a person, genuine soft words of affection with light kisses, flipped scripts are fun for him so you being the one to take him out or even just having a date night at home where you cook for him. OK I defs am reusing my own HC but he owns A LOT of toys, none of them he purchased or really wanted?  Companies are always trying to get him to endorse them or let them make a mold of him and they send products to butter him up and show what they can do.  He sets them on pedestals like modern art or sticks them to walls for coat racks.  

If he has a partner who is interested he’ll try to get more invested.  If there’s something that really brings that person to the brink he’d be intrigued to see just how far he can push them and then be more willing to try it himself and see what the big deal is.  On a whim has you controlling a vibrator inside his nook during an interview because it’s funny and to see how you’ll play the game.

Inspired by the song "Flower of The Plateau" by Mothy, this story thats part of Ever Changing Fate (my story) doesn't have much of a connection to the main plot of ECF but I made it to flesh it out more and because why not.

Oliver's full name is "Oliver Bortè".

"Chrysana" is not actually Chrysana's real name. Her real name is "Zaria Bortè". Her current full name is " Chrysana Orlov".

Marilla's full name as you would guess is "Marilla Orlov".

The Tsardom of Rinael is inspired by Russia. In case you didn't already know since I've mentioned Parie before, Parie is literally just a play on "Paris" and is insird by France. I'm pretty sure I've said that before but just mentioning for anyone else who read this.

Thus:

Chrysana is basically a French woman except France is in the southeast area of the planet and she abandoned her son and left him for dead before fleeing to Russia except it's in the northwestern area of the planet. She traveled very far away for a reason: it's so far out it would be impossible (so she thought) for anyone to find out who she really was.

Harlots (aka prostitutes for any who didn't know) are heavily discriminated against in Ever Changing Fate due to being seen as sinful even though most of them are only harlots because they need money, such as Chrysana. Chrysana ended up pregnant after being "without her consent used in a vulgar way", which is code for "being RP'd". She was heavily scarred and saw her son as a burning reminder of her experience. She never loved him but upon his birth she thought she could get used to him. But she soon realized that having a son was not very profitable because she couldn't afford to feed both herself and him, and the men she brought in didn't like having a kid around. Babies were too much work in her eyes at the time, and so she abandoned him and chose to completely erase her old identity as the harlot Zaria Bortè, and took on a new identity. In the years after she married the head of House Orlov in Rinael after fleeing there as a stowaway on a ship and had a daughter. But she nevr anticipated her son searching for her...

And so she had to maintain her new identity...

And that mean that anyone who knew of her past must be-

For your information Marilla was completely oblivious to Oliver being her older brother and her mother not being who she pretended to be, along with Duke Orlov who was also oblivious to everything.

Chrysana faked her entire personality as "Chrysana Orlov" when in reality her true self as "Zaria Bortè" was a cynical, scarred woman who hated the world, and was nearly unapproachable. Due to this in order to survive Chrysana knew she had to forge a new personality for herself which was joyful, social, happy, etc, and thus is why she became known as the "Joy of Rinael" due to the fact Rinael was constantly a gloomy land of snow, so someone who was optimistic and happy was sort of just foreign to them.

Other facts:

Chrysana was an orphan. She had been homeless her entire life until she fled to Rinael. She had found and decided to live in an abandoned house that she had fixed up herself and lit up with candles a few years before Oliver was born, when she was 14.

Yes, Chrysana had been a harlot even before she was of age; she became one when she was 12. "It was all to survive" is what she told herself even though she hated everything, her life, the men, the world...

Chrysana was 19 when she had Oliver.

Oliver is aproximately 6 years older than Marilla.

Marilla actually really wanted a sibling and would have loved having Oliver as her older brother. She got a baby sister a year after Oliver's death and a baby brother another two years after that.

Chrysana and Marilla's appearance is somewhat inspired by Hatsune Miku, mostly Marilla with her pigtails and hair color.

The rose on the headband that Chrysana is wearing is a black rose.

Chrysana's birth name and fake name are both flower names; Chrysana comes from Chrysanthemum and Zaria either is a flower or means flower in some other language, I forget. Marilla is another name for the flower Amaryllis.

Orlov was a noble family in the Russian Empire way back.

Vasily is a common Russian name, I believe.

Duke Vasily Orlov had strawberry blonde hair and purple eyes. He was younger than Chrysana by two years and had loved her nearly ever since she had moved to Rinael. Considering he was was 19 when she moved to Rinael, his teenage hormones were still all over the place and genuinely his crush on her was a childish one at first.

Chrysana despises intercourse nowadays but does it anyway to keep up her farce and to satisfy Vasily.

Chrysana genuinely loves Vasily but the relationship can be strained because of her trauma, fake identity, and fake personality.

Chrysana murdered several other men who happened to be people she slept with years earlier if she saw them whether she was in Rinael or visiting somehwere else because she wants to annihilate all record of her past.

By the time she died Chrysana had murdered about half of the men she slept with in the past.

Chrysana lived in the 1200s T.C., 350~ years before the Second Great Theda Civil War and main plot of Ever Changing Fate.

Chrysana's descendants (specifically Marilla's line) eventually married into the royal family of Rinael and several of the members of the royal family ended up bearing her hair color and or eye color due to it being very dominant throughout her bloodline.

If anyone found out she had been a harlot many years later there would be a bit of a scandal about it in the royal family, how big it would be would depend on how far down the line her descendants are at whenever it was discovered. However, her being a harlot was never found out by anyone.

One of the greatest rulers of Rinael bore both Chrysana's hair and eye color. He lived in the 1400s.

Chrysana became a writer later in her life (Around her mid 40s) and wrote a story that was actually based on her past identity. She wrote it in order to get out everything that she had pent up inside of her. She lied to everyone whenever asked that the entire story was fictitious and was based on many stories with several elements pulled from other stories to make it. It was called "The Tragedy of The Harlot Catria". Catria was the name of Chrysana's mother who was also a harlot according to the records Chrysana managed to find about her. She of course claimed that the records she looked at of Catria were just for her story- in reality Chrysana just desperately wished to know anything about her that she could because she never met her since her mother died in childbirth.

Chrysana knew her mother's name because of a locket that she had held onto since she could remember which had the inscription "Love from mama, Catria, to her lovely daughter, Zaria".

Chrysana's mother was a victim of RP just like Chrysana.

Chrysana's eye color is from her mother, her hair is from her father.

Chrysana met her father once and promptly beat him up for everything he did to her mother and never carung about her. However, he didn't know she was his daughter and she didn't kill him because he was a nobleman of Parie and it would have ended badly for Rinael because it could have caused rumors about him being killed by a Rinaelian nobleman/woman or she could have gotten found out.

Rinael and Parie don't like each other very much. :/

I personally like that you've been building on the character designs because it's really starting to come together in a really beautiful kind of way. The way that you're able to draw hair and the way that the environment affects it is just really telling of the characters in a lot more ways than you realize. It stands out more than just color theory in general.

Posture is one thing but you can see a lot just from the way that someone Styles themselves and just by looking at these characters you can tell that they have this specific energy to them. It's not standoffish. But it's definitely something in the realm of uneasy and uncertain.

So we start our school year in January, and we have a first quarter exam in march, then another midterm in June/July, then a second quarter exam in September, and our finals somewhere in November (and then we get a break from November to December, and resume on the 2nd of January), tho we have many week-long holidays in between, like after our midterms (two weeks) and after the quarter exams (one week each). That's before quarantine. Now, due to quarantine, we didn't have our finals because school was out, so the school postponed it to January, when school reopens xD it sucks because we didn't even have lessons for most of the topics which are supposed to come out, and self studying is rubbish, honestly. Damn ... school system is so differnet everywhere. Even the school start, ours starts at first of September😭 It's usually 3 exams per term for each subject, and there are 4 terms. 2 of the exams are for the unit we had passed, and the 3rd exam is what I like to call the final exam, and its has questions of everything we had passed in the term. Or semester. idk how it's called anymore😩 I just know that they're not divided equally (one is two months, one is three, one is 3,5, the other one is 2,5 or something🤨) and it bothers me a lot. Could've done it a little more organized.... pain😞😞

(Gary anon) Eh, power-scaling has always been weird and prevalent in this anime. (Heck, due the nature of JN, it's even more discussed now. If "Ash vs. Cynthia" happens, I'm bracing for the blow back for whatever the results are. Because we know it'll extend outside of the anipoke section of the fandom) Gary's case is more questionable than 'bad', but him being left with that for years...oof. But at least he has a chance bounce back; that's more that can be said for some other characters.

(Part 2) Since Gary is exploring the world again and has a endless goal now, it seems fitting for him and Ash to travel together when everything's over with. (Yeah, technically qualifies Goh too, but his story feels and feels more like he and Ash will inevitably separate: Ash is laying the tracks for Goh to become more independent and work with others. A great symbolic end to that arc would be for him to find a group that shares his goals; which I think will be Project Mew)

(Part 3) Yeah, Gladion gets praised for being a friendly rival that has remained consistent throughout a series rather than fall off, is temporary or gets upstaged. (And other qualities, but keeping my mouth shut cause spoilers) Hopefully this causal affection and inspiring continues, on all sides. And snarky commentary.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't mind that whole situation half as much if he hadn't been left on that note for twelve years. But what's done is done, and he's back now with opportunity to redeem himself.

Yeah! It'd be so good on so many levels and also, PalletShippers everywhere would go wild. There'd be so much fanfic and fanart about their adventures together.

For sure--Goh is coming into his own, and he and Ash will almost definitely part ways when Journeys draws to a close. That would be a perfect end for that arc, finding a group he fits in well with. I love it.

Oof I know I all but asked for this but Mibuchi is such a touchy topic that now I’m getting nervous haha. I’m gonna use they/them to refer to Mibuchi in deference to the theories that Mibuchi is trans or nonbinary in canon ^^

So this all stems from the omake “Girls’ Talk” at the end of volume 27, where Mibuchi says there’s someone on their team that they have interest in, right? Nebuya and Hayama screech “OI!!” from the side, possibly because they’re worried it’s them. I don’t think it’s them, though, because:

Mibuchi shows distaste for Nebuya (ex: when Mibuchi dodges Nebuya’s congratulatory punch because “it hurts~” and when Mibuchi says “I wish he’d stop saying muscle this and muscle that” with an annoyed look on his face. Also in his Kurofes interview it says Mibuchi dislikes vulgar people. I love Nebuya but he’s a rough and rowdy boy.)

The interactions we see between Mibuchi and Mayuzumi are very little. They speak to each other normally, but Mayuzumi doesn’t spend much time with his underclassmen. Nothing about it draws attention in any way. (More than that, Mayuzumi isn’t Mibuchi’s type - Mibuchi is into men with basketball skill & Mayuzumi is a third stringer level of player.)

The only person who comes close to competing with Akashi is Hayama. Reo’s relationship with him is pretty good. Hayama likes and respects Mibuchi. But, their relationship is very much like mom/big sister to kid - Mibuchi scolds Hayama for being hyper and Hayama respects Mibuchi as an older, more mature figure.

Also in the Kurofes interview Mibuchi says their type is “attentive” and Hayama is pretty hyperactive, not so much an attentive type.

Here’s why I think it’s Akashi:

There’s a comment made in the Characters Book PLUS by Fujimaki:

“What kind of a life must they have been living for their eyes to have been opened (as in: come to a revelation) in high school.”

If that sounds like a vague statement, it’s because it is. The wiki interprets this line as being about Mibuchi discovering they’re “Onee” - but the wiki also thinks “Onee” means “gay or transsexual” (it doesn’t, it just refers to people who use “Onee kotoba,” the girly language Mibuchi favors. I went through many pains to be sure of this by checking testimonial from native Japanese speakers. It’s also not something you discover so much as something you do to express yourself.)

Fujimaki is euphemistically referring to the fact that Mibuchi is into men, and telling us that Mibuchi got their first crush in high school (which is how they found out they’re into men -> “eyes opening”). Mibuchi knew all of the Uncrowned Kings from their middle school rivalry, but they didn’t know Akashi, who was in a lower grade. They met him in high school. (Not saying it’s impossible Mibuchi grew to like the Uncrowned Kings later, but signs are favoring Akashi here.)

Also, there’s the *wink wink* manner in which Fujimaki is imparting this information (”I WONDER WHAT HAPPENED IN HIGH SCHOOL ;) ). He’s very reluctant to say who it is that Mibuchi has a crush on, which would only happen if it was someone important - a major character, such as the main antagonist (Akashi).

On top of all of this, Akashi pretty much says that Mibuchi hangs around him. Since we’re told that Mibuchi is attracted to skill and Akashi is the most skilled player in the series, it’s hardly surprising. Also, Akashi is an attentive person.

Best for last, Mibuchi calls Akashi “Sei-chan” whenever possible (and doesn’t do the same for Rakuzan’s other members). It’s a sign of romantic interest and affection when girls do that in Japan (which is the way we’re supposed to interpret Mibuchi’s behavior - as girl-like.) It’s why Aomine tells Momoi to refrain from calling him “Dai-chan.” It’s also why, when Mibuchi wants to tease Hyuuga that they’re interested in him, they call him “Junpei-chan.” It has a strong connotation of romantic interest.

None of this is to detract from other ships with Mibuchi. You can ship Mibuchi with whoever you want. This is simply my perspective of canon’s depiction of Mibuchi’s one-sided feelings. (And I don’t present myself as the definitive source on KnB or demand that anyone agree with me.)
