As you stand in the Williams garage, you can clearly hear the hum of the whole circuit buzzing all around, and you can’t help but feel so proud. Franco had just achieved what he had been dreaming of since childhood—his first official race in Formula 1. It should have been one of the happiest moments of your life, watching him stand there, helmet in hand, chatting animatedly with the engineers, that wide grin plastered on his face. You knew how hard he worked for this, how many nights you spent listening to his dreams, encouraging him through the frustrations of karting, and celebrating every win, every milestone. You were there through it all, and here he was now—your Franco, living his dream.
However, alongside the pride that you were feeling, a bitter feeling also crept in. It had been lurking at the back of your mind for days now, only growing stronger with each passing moment. It was not about Franco’s career, but more about where you fit into his new world. The glitz and glamor, cameras that seemed to follow every move, the polished and perfect people that surrounded him—people you had never imagined yourself fitting in with.
Lily, Alex’s girlfriend, had been nothing but sweet to you all weekend. You bonded with her quickly, her kind words and warmth is a welcoming comfort amidst the chaos. Yet, as much as you liked her, being around someone so gorgeous and effortlessly poised had only made you feel even smaller. You weren’t tall or glamorous like her or the other WAGs, nor were you used to the attention, and you barely have a successful career. You were just…you. A university student trying to get by through her classes, someone who barely knew what to do when a camera pointed your way, and someone who couldn’t help but wonder if you were truly cut out for this kind of life.
When Franco finally made his way back to you, you could hardly breathe. He greeted you with that same wide smile and a soft tender kiss on the lips, his eyes still sparkling from the thrill of the race.
“Can you believe it?” He laughed, pulling you into a hug. “I can’t believe I just raced in F1. This is really insane.”
You smiled weakly, arms wrapped around him. Trying to steady your racing heart. “I’m so proud of you,” you murmured against his chest. But the words felt heavy, there was something you needed to say, something you dreaded.
After the media frenzy died down and the team began to clear out, you knew it was time. You asked Franco if the two of you can go to his driver’s room, away from the lights, cameras, and the noise. He nodded and led you towards his driver’s room, completely oblivious to the storm brewing inside of you.
When you reached his driver’s room, he locked the room to give you two some privacy. Franco quickly sensed that something was off with you, immediately frowning.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, as your hands shook as you fumbled with the words. “Franco…I don’t know if I can do this.”
“Do what?” His voice is gentle but confused.
“This. All of this.” You gestured around vaguely. “I don’t belong in this kind of world. I don’t look like the other girls in this kind environment, I don’t act like them. I just feel like…I’m not cut out for this, you know. For you.”
He blinked at you, and then—he laughed. A soft incredulous sound that only made your chest tighten. “You’re joking, right?” But you just shook your head, throat tightening painfully. “I’m serious, Franco.”
His smile faltered, eyes searching your face, and then he grew serious. “You’re breaking up with me?” He sounded like he couldn’t believe what he was hearing at all.
You bit your lip, feeling your resolve crack under the weight of his words. “I think I have to.”
Franco stepped closer, shaking his head in disbelief. “No. No way. Hell no. You’re not doing this.” He grabbed your hands, holding them tightly. Tell me why. What’s really going on?”
You stared at the ground, unable to meet his eyes. How could you even tell him? How could you put into words the overwhelming insecurities that you had been drowning in.
“I’m not enough for this life, for your life,” you whispered, voice barely audible. “I’m just…me. You deserve someone who can handle all of this, someone who doesn’t feel like they are drowning every time the cameras turn their way. I’m scared that this will change us, that it will change you.”
Franco squeezed your hands tighter, forcing you to look at him. “You’re scared?” He asked softly. “Of what exactly? That I’ll stop loving you because I’m in F1 now?”
You nodded, chest tightening as tears began to fill your eyes. “I’m not like them, Franco. I don’t belong here.”
He pulled you into his arms, resting his chin on top of your head. “Listen to me, and you listen well,” he whispered. “You’ve been with me through everything, literally everything. Since my karting days. You’re the one I want with me, not some random model, not someone from this kind of environment. You.” He gently cupped your face, making sure that you were looking directly into his eyes. “I’m not breaking up with you. Not because of this, not because of anything. I love you so much. If this life makes you uncomfortable, we’ll figure it out. Together.”
You shook your head, still overwhelmed with doubts. “But I don’t know how to—”
“I don’t care,” he interrupted softly. “I don’t really care about any of that. All I care about is you. I’m not losing you just because you think that you’re not enough. You’ve always been more than enough for me.”
Tears finally spilled over, and Franco wiped them away with his thumb. “You’re not getting rid of me that easily, okay?” He added.
You let out a choked laugh, burying your face in his chest. “Okay,” you whispered, feeling the weight of your fears slowly start to lift.
Franco kissed the top of your head as he kept you close, his voice soft but firm. “Look at me,” he said, lifting your chin so your eyes met his. “There’s no one else I see in my future but you. No one else who matters like you do. I don’t care about the noise or what other people say. Let them talk all they want, I don’t give a shit. You’re the most important person in my life.”
His words wrapped around you like a warm blanket chasing away the chill of insecurity. You couldn’t help the way your heart fluttered, how much you wanted to believe him. “But people will judge, Franco. They already are.”
Franco shook his head, brushing a strand of hair away from your face. “I don’t care about them. They don’t know you like I do. I’ve seen you at your best and your worst, and I’ve loved you through it all. That’s what matters, not their opinions.”
You bit your lip, trying to push away the lingering doubts. “It’s just I don’t want to hold you back. You deserve someone who—”
“I already have someone I deserve,” he cut you off, voice unwavering. “You’ve been there for me through everything, you believed in me when no one else did, even when I wasn’t sure I believed in myself. I’m not letting you go because of some stupid insecurities about fitting in with this world. I don’t need someone from this world. All I need is you.”
Tears welled in your eyes again, but this time they weren’t from doubt or fear. They were from the overwhelming love you felt at that moment. “You’re sure?” You whispered, voice trembling. “You’re really sure?”
Franco smiled, the kind of smile that made everything else melt away. “I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life. You’re my future, not them. Not anything else. Just you.”
As you stood there in his arms, you let yourself believe it. Because the way he looked at you, the way he spoke, it left no room for any doubts. You were the one he wanted, and that was enough.
After a long moment of silence, just feeling the comfort of being in his arms, you finally pulled back, wiping the last of your tears and giving him a small and sweet smile. The tension that had been weighing on you had lifted, already been replaced by the familiar warmth you always felt around Franco.
You wrinkled your nose playfully, trying to lighten the mood. “Okay, as sweet as this moment is, you really need to freshen up. You stink.” You teased, giving him a playful nudge.
Franco let out a laugh, the sound light and easy. “What? No way, I smell like pure victory,” he grinned, pulling you back into his arms, purposely trying to rub his post-race sweat on you.
“Franco!” You squealed, trying to push him away. “Ew, Franco! You’re all sweaty!”
He laughed harder, his arms tightening around you for a second before he finally let you go, raising his hands in surrender. “Alright, alright, I’ll go and freshen up,” he said, his grin still wide. “But don’t think I didn’t notice how you were crying on me. If anything, you owe me for that.”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t help smiling. “Fine, fine. I’ll owe you. Just go clean up before I regret taking you back,” you teased, earning an exaggerated gasp from him.
Franco winked at you before heading off to freshen up, not forgetting to steal a kiss from you. “Don’t go anywhere, I’ve got plans for us to celebrate.” He threw a playful look over his shoulder.
You shook your head with a laugh, feeling lighter than you had in days. The doubts that once felt overwhelming now seemed small in comparison to the love you shared. Franco was right—together, you could figure out everything, just like how you both always do.

“i hate your old friends”
pairing: katsuki bakugo x female reader
cw: language, kissing, misogyny
word count: 2500+
a/n: just something i was thinking of this morning, it’s probably very tapped but we move
summary: in which bakugo gets a visit from some old friends, making remarks about you and the other girls, a much more angrier bakugo realises that his past friends never grew up in the past months and he as sure as hell wasn’t letting some idiots talk about his girl in that way
↞ back to my hero academia masterlist
The late afternoon had brought an unknown chill to the class, you all had decided to go into town after a long training day against each other. Bakugo’s arm was around your shoulder, holding onto your much smaller frame. Your head leaned against his side which fit perfectly into him, talking to Kirishima who was complaining about how injured he felt after being knocked into a wall by you.
“That’s why my girl is so much better than you, shitty hair.” Bakugo mocked laughing with his head tilted backwards. The walk was short enough, the class converging into little groups themselves.
“Your girlfriend is an exact copy of you fighting wise.” Sero remarked remembering how you truly were a sweetheart but when fighting you became a Bakugo clone with anger and shitty talk to back you up with your ferocious quirk.
You turned to the boy pouting, “you don’t need to be so mean.”
Sero laughed along with the other boys a scowl on Bakugo’s face at the implications, “hey, you should be glad you’re a copy of me.”
Giving a disgusted face he rolls his eyes grabbing you closer towards him. His body always felt so warm, soft even but the look of disgust at being dragged along was evident in his scarlet eyes. “We’ll meet back in an hour.” Momo said as everybody began going their own way.
Bakugo and you were the only ones left, he had let go of your shoulder, putting his hand out for you to take. “Where do you want to go shitty woman?” He muttered knowing for the next hour he would just be dragged around.
“I want to buy some new shirts and I need to get some manga’s that have come out…” You began to think what else you needed to get, “oh yeah, I need to get some jewellery as well, we can get you some rings, they’ll look good on you.” You had said the last part touching his fingers with your other hand.
“Whatever.” He grunted dragging you into some stores, helping you pick out new tops and other jewellery, it was all a lot calmer with the boy. He tried to make you buy an ugly red and yellow shirt, but you refused at how gross it looked.
“Suki it literally looks like someone puked up on it.” He had put it across his chest as you were carrying some bags.
“And I’m the one who gets shouted out for being mean.” He grabs the bags in your hands having chucked the ugly shirt to the side and re-grabbed your hand.
“Hey.” You punch his arm as he shakes his head. “There’s rings over there.”
Dragging him along, he follows a lot more unwillingly, you look through the silver rings, and necklaces. “This would look nice on you.” He holds up a ring with a red diamond inside, it was all cheap jewellery, but it did look nice.
“Yeah, I might buy it.” You said attempting to grab it.
He stops you as you tilt your head in confusion, “I’ll get it for you.”
“You…”
He interrupts you, “I want too, it might not be that much but one day I’ll buy you a real diamond.”
You smile at the boy, a grin even at the boy who hadn’t looked back at you, continuing to skim through the rings. But all you could look at was him, how his eyes were fixated on the rings, they were all pretty but on his veiny calloused fingers they’d be immaculate.
“I want these.” He takes out the rings, the silver that would fit nicely across his fingers, he just wanted your approval and your nod indicated that you liked them as well. “Come on, baby.” He takes your hand, grabbing you closer to his body as you stand in line.
You leant your head against his broad chest, his arms around your waist as you held the items. Maybe you had gone overboard with buying clothes, but the look of love Bakugo had when you had worn each item made you want them all. He grabbed the bags from the floor as you went to the counter putting them across. Taking some cash he passed it and took the bags for that as well, he definitely looked like a man being dragged by his girlfriend. Your empty hands as he held the bags and your hand looked like a scene, but he didn’t care if he looked like some sort of simp because it was all for you.
“We only have about 10 minutes lef…” You were interrupted by the sound of two boys, you didn’t recognise and by the look on Bakugo’s face neither did he.
“Bakugo.” They both shouted, both turning around to be met with two boys, one with grey black hair that went up to his shoulders and another with much shorter hair.
Bakugo looked confused as ever and he hated how his time with his girlfriend was being interrupted. “Bakugo it’s us.” The one with much shorter hair said.
Bakugo remained ever more confused, “who are you again?”
The look of confusion between the three boys was evident at how Bakugo had clearly forgotten who they were , “we went to middle school together.” The other boy said.
“Oh yeah, extra #1 and extra #2.” You tried to hide the small laugh at how Bakugo really remembered them as that and even then, probably only remembered having two friends and not who they actually were.
Before you could ask their actual names, you heard the shout of Mina running up to you with a lot of bags. “Mina don’t you think you went a bit overboard.”
“Really me, isn’t your boyfriend the one carrying your 10 bags, some of us aren’t lucky enough to have a man.” She fake wiped a tear before showing you the shirts she had, one catching your eyes, the ugly red and yellow shirt. Maybe it would work on her, maybe.
Momo and Jirio were the next to reach the two of you, “who are they?” Momo questioned pointing at the two boys who were trying to converse with an unamused Bakugo.
“Some extras I used to know in middle school.” Bakugo muttered back.
Momo turned to you and you shrugged looking at what she had gotten, in what seemed like less than a second, the whole class seemed to have come back, and you could see Midoriya eyeing up the two boys. You stood along with the girls unable to show your items at how Bakugo’s grip remained tight on the bags. Midoriya began walking over and you watched the scene take place.
“Kacchan, oh hey guys.” Midoriya, always the sweeties walked with a smile on his face, he’d grown a lot since his crying days and even then, through the tears there was always something strong to him.
“Woah Bakugo, you actually hang out with this loser.” At the sound of the one word you all looked wide eyed. Iida was about to say something but Bakugo spoke up instead.
He looked at you and you nodded, “I was with my girlfriend before you shitty extra’s interrupted us.”
“Woah, which one’s your girlfriend.” They both scoured the group of girls, eyeing each of you up and down like a piece of meat. They reminded you too much of the little grape head who had been trying to sneak into the bags to see if you had bought any lingerie.
“It’s got to be the one with the biggest boobs.” All your eyes flickered red; anger filled through the girls as you wanted to kill them in a flash.
Bakugo seemed pissed, not only had they looked at you with their disgusting eyes, but they were making remarks about his girlfriend's chest size. “We should all get going.”
Midoriya tried to calm down the situation, seeing the fury between the girls, specifically in your eyes but also the anger that looked to boil along Bakugo’s face. “No, why don’t we invite our old friends to UA, show them how an actual pro hero is made.”
You knew what Bakugo was doing, he was pissed. He knew he was better than them, he knew he had it all, the flashy quirk, the looks and even the girl but here he was in front of two random guys and he felt like they didn’t understand how much better he actually was.
“Katsuki, why not leave it fo…” You began to speak but he interrupted you once again.
“We’ve got time and the rest of the day off Y/n, we can show them the dorms, have a little chat.” You knew what the little chat indicated, him beating them to a pulp if it was necessary.
They looked between you and Bakugo and you were worried, it was easy enough to get them through if they came in with other students but the idea that Bakugo might hurt them worried you. You didn’t say anything and Bakugo started walking ahead, the two boys following behind him. It felt like a glimpse into the past, they were never his friends, you could tell, more an entourage who encouraged the behaviour.
Walking over to Midoriya you began asking him questions, “what were they like back in middle school?”
Midoriya hesitated scratching the back of his head, “umm…well I guess…mean really, don’t get me wrong Kacchan is a lot better now mainly because of you but back then he was a bully and those two would follow him around just as they’re doing now.”
Bakugo had noticed you talking to Midoriya, but so fuelled with anger he began to think you’d see his old side, even if little had changed, he’d become better around you, nicer to you. But the two extras following behind him, it pissed him off. “Wow Bakugo, the girls are really hot, you can’t just be sticking to one when you have such a wide range.”
Momo felt disgusted being talked about in this manner and Ururaka tried to bring comfort but being talked about as if you were a flavouring of ice cream was pretty unsettling. “You’ve got to admit it, the one whose around Midoriya is the hottest, why would she be around a loser like him though?”
Bakugo’s knuckles became whiter at the sound of them talking about you, his brows furrowed together and the bags in his hand would snap if he held them anymore. “Katsuki.” You whispered walking quicker to reach him up ahead, the two boys had noticed this action watching at how you stood beside him, even saying his first name. “Are you okay? We don’t have to do this; we can just leave them.”
The entrance of the dorms were near but even then, you could always tell them to fuck off, but Bakugo stayed adamant. Overhearing more of their conversation as your face fell white, “even if Bakugo could get her, she looks like a slut, she’s probably slept with the whole class.”
It was the final straw for the boy, just outside the walls, Bakugo dropped your bags. Giving a small look of apology before grabbing the two boys collars with both his hands and pushing them into the concrete. “If you ever speak about my fucking girlfriend like that ever again, I will kill you.” He lifted the two up before hitting them back onto the concrete.
“Katsuki, leave them.” You tried to calm him down, but he looked even more pissed. Those words they had spoken, you a slut, his girl, his gorgeous girlfriend was worth so much more than they are ever. “They don’t mean anything.”
You grabbed his hands, rubbing circles around his fingers as Kirishima helped the two boys and with Denki sent them off to leave. They seemed scared, pissed even but the look of horror at the class who seemed to acknowledge Bakugo’s strength spoke out more. They had realised Bakugo had grown a lot in these months, that to you he would never act the way he had acted prior.
Kirishima was the one to speak up first as everybody had started walking towards the dorms, you grabbed some bags and Bakugo took the others. He didn’t meet your eye but listened to the red head, “those friends of yours are real dickheads.”
You nodded in agreement, walking through the doors to feel the warmth surround you. “I hate your old friends.”
It was an acknowledgement that Bakugo was glad he felt as well, “they were never my friends, just stupid extras, you’re my friend.” Bakugo admitted to Kirishima who gave a toothy smile.
“Of course I am, we all are.” He smiled before excusing himself seeing how Bakugo needed some sort of comfort.
“Let’s go up to my room.” You put your hand out, it was a hand that had brought so much love and warmth in the months you had been dating. He grabbed it bringing it to his lips, kissing each and every knuckle individually.
Walking to the room in silence, you finally dropped the bags, the boy collapsing onto your bed in a heavy sign. “Kirishima’s right, they are dickheads and you’re worth so much more than them.” You spoke comforting him; he opened his arms out allowing you to rest on his chest, his arms around you.
“I shouldn’t have let them say all that shitty stuff, I didn’t care what they said about the girls or even the brat Deku, but they spoke about you as if you were replaceable as if you were some sort of whore and I just couldn’t stand for that.
It was a confession, something that made the blond vulnerable in your arms, but the soothing pleasure he felt having you in his arms would relieve all the pent-up anger. “They don’t deserve to even have known you baby, you have all of us and I’m never leaving you for anybody. You’re stuck with me.”
He smiled, not a smirk or coy look, a genuine smile at the girl he loved, “i guess, if I have to have you forever.” Giving a small chuckle at the boy, you looked up to his face, lifting yourself up to encase his body between your arms and moving your face to face his own.
“Was this all a ploy to get me into bed?” He gleamed as he lifted his head up to make your lips touch.
The kiss was faster with pace and lust, he still needed to discharge all the anger and what better way than through you. His perfect little girl who’d do anything for him, who loved him and made him, the man who had been incapable of caring for another person, love. He held your arms before flipping you onto your back, his own mouth still attached to you. But now his body trapped yours underneath, as much as he hated having you on top, seeing how perfect you looked on top had become an ingrained image now in his head.
Tongue against tongue, mouth against mouth, hands in hair and others on your bodies. It was love in the purest form, no words only actions and it was the only way for Bakugo to prove that you were his and nobody would ever treat you like that ever again. Oh so help anybody who ever dared to see you as anything other than his strong independent girl.
i’d really appreciate if you guys could leave a like, reblog or comment, thanks x

Kyoya Comforting His GF
it’s kyoya x fem!reader just because they wear a dress, but if ur fine with that then it can be gender neutral . (hope that makes sense)
unedited
Outside of the prestigious Ouran Highschool, it was raining harshly. It looked like no one was going to be leaving the building too soon, anyone who had any after school activities were commanded to stay longer.
The school couldn’t risk these special heirs to get hurt, offering food for if they were hungry while waiting for the rain to stop.
The Host Club were having a off day, just joining together after school to discuss next weeks theme. But because of the students staying, they decided to open up last minute, causing more stress onto Kyoya. He was able to make Tamaki and the others dress up in costumes from musicals, making that the theme with things the twins found in the music room.
You had just finished your theatre practice, pulling up your coat and staring out of one of the larger windows, almost admiring how gorgeous the rain looked on this day. Contemplating on seeing how your boyfriend was doing.
Kyoya and you met through his father. Your father was a owner of a very successful technology company, so with new projects the Ootoris and L/n worked closely.
Somehow, you and Kyoya just clicked. You had a certain presence that set him at ease, that felt he could truly trust you and confide in you, he could take a breath and be himself.
You felt that you could be more of yourself, being a shyer person he made you feel more confident. Kyoya always encouraged you to work towards your dreams, not stressing on your future as a heir and more as yourself. (He can’t talk much since he mostly does the same, but it’s the thought that counts).
Kyoya didn’t tell people about you, as of your request. For a long time you went to a different school, just recently transferring, and having a lot of nerves with being new and having a famous father. You decided to hide yourself a bit more, taking on your mothers last name, and not yet telling everyone your dating a powerful mans son, maybe the next heir.
Putting in some earbuds, turning on one of the songs you had been practicing for the show. You started to hum to it a bit, picking up your books and walking away from the window to try and find a empty space.
Soon a fellow classmate appeared from behind the doors, quickly catching your presence and rushing your way.
When you first joined the first year class, she befriended you, realizing you were much kinder than others were in the beginning, and after chatting more, she realized you really were a fun person to be around.
“Y/n-san!” She exclaimed, rushing over to you with flowers in her hand. “How was your theater club?”
“It was nice, practiced my song today,” You nodded to her, a small smile present on your face. “Are you still in that one club?”
“Yes, actually, do you think you could help me find a radio? Tamaki-senpai wants me to play some music and I don’t have anything,” She complained and you agreed. The both of you travelled to the music room, finding a radio that worked well and could play the music wished.
When coming upon the Music Room 3 doors you decided to go in and try to help her set up the music system. Haurhi was very grateful for all your help, thanking you and offering to get you some tea.
“No, no it’s fine,” You shook your head, waving you hands. “I think I’m just going to go and get some extra practice in,”
“Hey, isn’t that the one girl,” Hikaru nudged his brother, pointing over to where you were talking with Haruhi.
“Oh, yeah, she’s so shy,”
“Mhm, do you know what I’m thinking?” Hikaru turned towards his brother, both of their lips lifting into mischievous smiles.
“Haruhi!” Tamaki called, giddily skipping over with a large smile. “Is this your friend, she’s so cute!” He walked over to you, pinching your cheeks while Haruhi tried to push him away. “You could have just asked, it will be fun, the twins already picked out a outfit!” He smiled and the twins rushed over, grabbing you and shoving you into a changing room.
“Y/n!” Haruhi muttered, truly confused at what Tamaki was saying. “Tamaki-senpai, what are you talking about?”
“They told me your friend wanted to dress up as one of us, since she’s in the theater group herself and that’s our theme today. They said you were to shy to ask- Oh I swear, those devils!” His face morphed into a angry expression, going to go give the twins a piece of his mind before you stepped out of the dressing room.
You were wearing a beautiful purple gown, somehow it made you look amazing, hugging you in all the right places. You loved the dress, but not all the eyes that fell on you.
“Wow who’s that?”
“Are they adding a female host?”
“Takashi look at her!”
“Y/n?” Kyoya questioned, looking up from his notebook and standing up. You were frozen in place, not expecting all this attention, forgetting how many people really were in the room.
“Tamaki-senpai!” Haruhi yelled, now sticking her finger in his face. “She’s really shy, doesn’t like all the attention, tell everyone to give her space,” Haruhi scolded, moving over by you.
“Y/n, what are you doing here?” Kyoya asked, walking up to you and having a somewhat softer expression.
“Kyoya-senpai, I know she shouldn’t have dressed u- wait how do you know her?” Haruhi wondered.
“How could I not?” He asked back, almost as if it was obvious. “Are you feeling okay, dear?” He looked back at you, taking your hand in his.
“Dear?!” Haruhi repeated, looking as if she would have a heart attack.
“Daddy has a girlfriend?!” Tamaki waltzed over, clutching his heart as if he was heartbroken.
“How does he even have one?” Hikaru inquired.
“The guy doesn’t even have a heart, how could he love someone?” Kaoru added.
“She’s so cute Kyo-chan!” Honey commented, a bright smile on his face. “Want to have some cake with me?”
“I was just trying to set up some music, not get dressed up,” You commented, still trying to calm yourself with all the people that were now surrounding.
Luckily for you and the group, a announcement was made that the rain had let up and families were sending staff to pick up their children. So everyone was to report to their original club rooms.
Kyoya was able to walk you over to a empty table while Haruhi made some tea, the both wanting to try and help calm your nerves. You accepted the tea graciously and the other club members slowly made their way over to you, now understanding and wanting to be careful.
“That was truly rude of you twins, and Tamaki,” Kyoya commented, sitting by you on the couch.
“Please don’t kill us!” The three yelled.
“It’s okay Kyoya,” You smiled at your boyfriend, placing the teacup down. “They didn’t know, I have to build up my courage anyways for the performance,”
“You should still proceed carefully, it hurts to see you scared my dear,” He told you, his voice soft, and hand intertwined with his while you moved closer to him, leaning your head on his shoulder.
“Thank you. It’s still nice to be introduced to all of your friends!”
“You should’ve come around sooner,”
“Theatre practice has been very busy, I was able to get the lead so their has been a lot more work to do,” You mentioned.
“You do theatre, I like to think I’m a amazing actor!” Tamaki beamed. “Look at my costume and looks, I truly do fit the part,”
“Uh, sure,” You laughed. “I also have to do this one part with a classmate, it’s a sweet part,”
“Well I’m looking forward to seeing it,” Kyoya smiled to you, kissing your forehead sweetly. He did it without thinking, without remembering his surroundings, and quickly felt his face flush.
When it came time for your performance. You were all dressed up, makeup and hair perfectly fitting the character you were portraying. The Host Club were all overjoyed to see you up there.
Throughout the weeks that followed the day you met them you all became close. They all tried to make you feel comfortable and gain more confidence for when you were to preform.
Seeing you on stage brought a smile to all of their faces. You looked like you were really being yourself and having fun, they clapped and cheered at all the appropriate moments. Kyoya even was a bit more ecstatic than usual.
It was nearing the end of the play and you were onstage with the other love interest throughout the story. He moved closer, wrapping hands around your waist and pulling you closer, than reaching a hand to cup your cheek and placing on long kiss onto your cheeks. The curtains closed and all of the Host Club members were looking at the scowl present on Kyoya’s face, scooting away a little.
After the play, the seven hosts were invited backstage, to meet the cast and celebrate the successful performance with them. Kyoya quickly made his way to you, giving you a large hug and seeing you talk to the love interest in the show. He then kissed you, the other boy running off and you laughing afterwards.
Little did this jealous Kyoya know was that this was only the first performance, you still had five more to go!

COLLEGE AU! || YUJI ITADORI + MEGUMI FUSHIGURO + NOBARA KUGISAKI + SATORU GOJO
Pairing: Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo | GN!Reader
Type: Headcanons
Warnings: None
Note: I needed to write this. I had to. I couldn't stop thinking about this during dinner ʕ – ᴥ – ʔ also, lowkey, kinda wanna write a short fic about a college!au Satoru... because it's Satoru Gojo, hehehe. I hope you enjoy this!
Yuji Itadori is that one student who misses his lectures because he would sleep in or he would be trying to figure out a decent outfit to wear. Most of his assignments are late but he’d practically beg the professor of the class to give him a second chance in turning them in. He’ll attempt to study, but give him an hour, and he’ll be either asleep or playing video games to pass the time. Yuji makes a lot of friends, though, and he gets along with everyone in his small classes and makes a group of friends in larger ones. All in all, Yuji was not the best student, but he was willing to help out in any way if it was necessary, especially if it meant group projects. Sometimes, he’d encourage a study gathering and as the reward of a hard day’s work, it would be time to go out for dinner!
When Yuji found out you were in his class, he didn’t mind it, but both of you had to give a speech together about some mythology story in humanities class, and he was dreading it. However, you were a great and patient partner with him. Both of you rehearsed the PowerPoint lines very well, and after achieving a good grade, he offers to take you out on a date to celebrate. It did not take long for Yuji to grow feelings for you, and this led to him sitting next to you in lectures a lot, plus it also took him a lot of guts to ask you to study with him and help him prepare for the next exam. Eventually, he knows that he has to open up to you about how he feels, but he’ll just play around with the idea of these study dates just a bit longer.
— ♡ —
Megumi Fushiguro is the kind of college student that would make sure that he finishes all of his homework in time and does those usual all-nighters, but he doesn’t really talk to anyone and prefers to be alone most of the time. He is not the type to work in groups, only when the professor is assigning group projects. He studies alone with headphones on, but there would be times where he’ll procrastinate and whenever he does, he’ll get stressed out over the outcome of that. Overall, Megumi had a few friends, and he likes to be on his own, on his phone or tablet in-between breaks of classes, and he basically just dreads for the semester to be done and over with.
He is not a fan of working with lab partners, but out of all people, he was chosen to work with you by his professor. However, you were very open to working with him and offering to clean the majority of the glassware once the labs were completed. The reports weren’t fun, but you continue to communicate with him very well on the chemistry problems and the solutions both of you came up with. Megumi began to like you a lot, and every time you sat next to him in class, he would try to cover his face with the textbook or purposefully avoid eye contact with you. After the numerous study dates you had with him, Megumi knew deep down that he had to bring up how he felt about you, but these study dates were becoming enjoyable for him. Maybe the confession could wait a little while longer.
— ♡ —
Nobara Kugisaki will do most of her homework on time and she’ll participate in a lot of group projects, but she’ll always think about doing them on her own. She has a large pen collection and she tries to keep her notes somewhat decent, but she ends up spending too much of her money on pretty stationery and cute accessories for her backpack. She’ll listen to the professors if they’re really good-looking, otherwise, the boring and unattractive ones are going to leave her on her phone throughout the whole lectures. She has a pretty big friend group, but most of the time, she likes to spend her time buying new things instead of doing the assignments.
She didn’t expect to make new friends in psychology, since the class was so small, but you were the one that introduced yourself and the compliment that was sent her way on how you really liked the stickers on her notebook made her eyes lit up. Nobara asks you to study with her a lot since she has difficulty grasping the vocabulary well and you offer to help her every single time. Though, most of the time, it was an excuse to get closer to you. Her heart quickens its beat every time your fingers brush against hers on accident, and the gentle smile you send whenever you tell her that you love the new pens she got, she can only feel herself falling deeper.
— ♡ —
Satoru Gojo will definitely charm his way with a lot of the females in the classes. Surprisingly enough, he was one of the smarter students even though he never chooses to do the homework and either never do it or turns it in late. He’ll make a lot of people jealous since he won’t show up most of the time and yet he still manages to pass the class. He’ll participate in lectures, work hard in group projects, and give amazing and confident presentations, but he will use a lot of his free time to hang out with his friends on campus or chat up with some girls that he finds attraction to. He wasn’t the best student, and he’ll do the work if he absolutely had to (such as being in a group project), but he’ll still manage to pass the class somehow.
When you were stuck on your calculus problems, your professor asked Satoru to help you in getting a better grade in the class. At first, it struck you cold; there was no way that Satoru was actually good in the class, but it turns out that he really was the best out of everyone there. Oddly enough, Satoru was a great teacher, and he was attractive nonetheless. But with every cheer and giddy grin you’d get after getting a hard problem right made his heart flutter. These tutoring sessions were something he could get used to this. All because the sight of your lit-up eyes from you memorizing formulas just left him in awe. It didn’t take him long to have feelings for you, and all the girls he had charmed his way to had been blocked and out of his reach, and all that mattered to him was your smile every day.

FukaFlower - Walking Together
Summary:
With a very special occasion coming around the corner, she tried her best to build up the determination to learn how to make something equally special for him. Unfortunately…
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
It had been quite a few weeks from their first encounter in the cafeteria.
Just like that first day, Flower was seated on the corner of a table in the noisy hall, still chewing on her Japanese-themed lunch, a salmon and mayonnaise rice ball, and still being quiet while the sounds of shouting students ensued around her.
Though this time, she wasn’t the only one sitting at the table.
“So… Valentines’ Day is coming up,” The blonde-haired girl next to her chirped, her teal eyes sparkling with excitement. “I wonder if anyone we know is gonna get confession chocolates today!”
“Confession chocolates?” Flower tilted her head at the phrase, a foreign set of words to her.
“Rin’s talking about Valentine Chocolate, Flower,” A too-familiar voice approached her as its owner sat down to her left, placing down his lunch tray while smiling warmly at her. “Since tomorrow’s Valentine’s Day, some girls might give chocolates to their crushes to confess their love for them,”
The red-haired boy had explained it so kindly that the tomboyish teen had not realised how much of an oblivious aura she was given off. Fortunately, another female student at the table decided to point it out to her. “Have you never heard of this before, Flower?” A girl with apple-pink, Rapunzel long hair looked at her quizzically, the small ahoge on her head bouncing in the air as she leaned in closer to the table, staring squarely at Flower with her eyes the same shade of her hair.
Before her victim could get intimidated into submission, the silver-haired boy sitting next to the staring student placed a hand on her shoulder, pulling her back into her seat as he spoke. “Give her a break, Miki,” He sighed in disappointment, shaking his head at his all-too-hyperactive sister. “It’s not like every person in the entire school would instantly know what Valentine’s is about,”
“But I bet you would know everything about it, wouldn’t you, Piko?” The final patron of the lunch table, a boy with the same yellow hair and turquoise eyes as Rin, teased mischievously, narrowing his eyes at the stern-looking young man who spoke. “I mean, it’s not like you were waiting to get any chocolate any of your crushes last year, or like you lingered in the school even after cleaning time when you thought that someone would give you chocolates then-”
“For the last time, Len,” Piko shot a serious, steely look at the cheeky junior, though the faint pink blush on his cheeks evidently proved what he was really feeling. “I only have one crush and no, that did not happen!!”
“Oh sureeeeeee it didn’t~” Much to Piko’s chagrin, Rin grinned widely at him, a playful glint in her gaze. Before long, the three of them were engaged in yet another small argument on the table, with the two troublesome twins mostly poking at the stoic Piko while Miki struggled to calm them down. Despite having seen this scene a dozen of times before, Flower couldn’t help but let out a small giggle. As compared to her dull, asocial lifestyle from a few weeks ago, this was definitely a sight that she would never get tired of, especially since the trio’s topic of argument was never always the same.
As that thought crossed her mind, the white haired girl found herself considering their conversation very carefully. Valentine Chocolate, huh… Though she was distant from others, Flower was by no means a stranger to the idea of Valentines’ Day, the one day of the year where couples would be spending time together on dates and love-struck teens would try to confess their deep, hidden feelings of affection to their crushes. It was not a concept that was foreign to her.
And yet, it was the first time that she decided to actually take part in the special occasion. All because of the redheaded boy sitting next to her.
“Hm? What is it, Flower?” The exact person she was thinking about suddenly spoke with his kind voice and sweet smile, and the young woman couldn’t stop her cheeks from reddening at the prospect of being caught staring at him. Get a hold of yourself, Flower…! She mentally scolded herself, quickly turning away from him as she muttered an apology. “N-nothing! Sorry about that-!”
God, she was being such a flustered idiot around Fukase, wasn’t she? Though… Giving it a bit more thought, she couldn’t really blame herself for falling for the enthusiastic, charming boy. From the very first day when she talked with him in the cafeteria, there was a warm feeling that bloomed in her chest every time she saw him walking by and waving hello at her, a slight urge in her that was aching for him to talk with her again with his child-like yet gentlemanly prose.
When they met the second time during their shared music lessons, Flower did not hesitate to introduce herself properly and encourage him to do the same. It was a feat that required a lot of courage from the shy wallflower, mind you, for she had never done such an informal self-introduction in front of anyone outside of the people she had to work with. From then, she learned of his name, Fukase, and that he was in the same music and English lessons that she had (she just never noticed him before, she assumed). As the both of them continued whispering to each other and passing little notes while their music teacher lectured about the pentatonic scale and arpeggios, she learned that they shared the same interests in music and sweets and that both of them had siblings that were a little too eccentric for their own tastes.
Before she knew it, Flower was talking with Fukase almost every day to the point when a day without them meeting up and chatting for a while felt incomplete. It was a strange thing for her to comprehend, really, how her interactions with this boy was starting to drive how she would feel for the rest of the day. How much she loved to see his bright smile and hear his cute laugh. Or to hear him kindly guide her through social norms that were completely new to her and hold her hand like how an older brother would.
And unfortunately, as one would expect, the teenaged girl soon realised that her ‘urges’ to have Fukase sit next to her whenever he was with her or the burning sensation on her cheeks that blossomed only when he was physically close to her were all visible indicators of her growing affection for the redhead. She liked him. Liked him in the sense that she wanted them to be more than ‘friends’.
Meanwhile, as the spectacle of Flower being embarrassed of looking at Fukase for too long took place, the four students who were previously at arms with each other were gazing on the two older students, the white-haired girl sporting a faint blush on her face while the red-haired boy focused on eating his lunch, seemingly oblivious to the person sitting next to him.
A knowing smirk soon spread amongst them like a contagious disease. It was clear in all of their minds of what they had to do next.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
As soon as the school day ended, Flower rushed out of her classroom and made a beeline for the entrance. She had hoped to reach there earlier and see whether Rin or Miki were there first, since she had a very specific favour that she wanted to ask from them.
Much to her disappointment, however, was the two messages that she received on her phone as soon as she arrived at the iron gates.
Len & I had to go home first. Having dinner with our neighbours tonight. Sorry! - Rin (sent at 6:04pm)
Piko has a make-up class at home and I have a club meeting after school. Can’t walk with you today. Sorry. - Miki (sent at 6:10pm)
So much for asking them for their help. With her initial confidence fading away, Flower found herself frowning as she closed her phone and slipped it into her bookbag, her body leaning against the pillar behind her while the thoughts in her mind swam about. She couldn’t really blame the four of them for being occupied at this hour, she reasoned, since she was also at fault for not telling them earlier that she needed help with her request. And though the digital age gave her the opportunity to simply text them and ask for their assistance from there, Flower had already decided that her favour required her to ask them physically, lest she became too used to not speaking with people other than Fukase face-to-face.
“Heya Flower!”
The mentioned girl in question lifted her head to spot her closest friend trotting towards her, his brown bag slung across his shoulders as he waved to her with a wide smile on his face. The white bandage over his right eye reminded her of how much he stood out in the sea of students pouring out of the building, along with his iconic bright red hair and equally bright red cross pasted on his nose.
As he approached her, she finally found the will to speak. “Hey, Fukase,” She greeted him meekly, a sharp contrast of the excited tone that the boy had.
The smile on his face faltered a little when he realised that she was alone. “Where are the others?”
“Busy, unfortunately,” She sheepishly shrugged as she relayed the news to him. “Rin & Len’s got a neighbour visit, Piko’s got make-up classes at home and Miki’s at a club meeting,”
“Guess it’s just the two of us, then!” The boy jovially declared, hoping to lighten up the frown on her face. “You don’t mind it, though, do you?”
Flower quickly shook her head, though she could not deny the sudden pounding of her heart in her chest. It persisted to echo in her ears as the both of them walked out of the school gates together, standing side-by-side like a couple though their hands never touched each other.
For a while, as they strolled down the sidewalk and entered the small town located in the outskirts of the school, the female teen struggled to not peer at her friend for too long at a time. Observing the red scarf wrapped around his neck to keep him warm in the chilly breeze… Studying his warm-hearted, gentle gaze… Flower was trying, really trying, to muster every ounce of courage in her being to say something, anything, to trigger a conversation between them. But no matter how much she wished for it, no words would come out of her mouth.
No sooner did she give up on her attempts to spark a conversation with him when the boy next to her suddenly stopped walking, his feet rooted to the ground as Flower took one, two steps forward before realising that he wasn’t by her side anymore. In a state of confusion, the short-haired girl turned back at him, her violet eyes narrowing a little at her friend’s strange behaviour.
In that moment, she miraculously gained the bravery to speak. “Fukase? What is it?”
For a while on that snow-covered pavement, a cool breeze of wintry wind blew past the both of them, cueing Flower’s fingers to hurriedly pull her winter uniform’s collar closer to her neck. As she cast her eyes downwards, hoping that the heat from her breath could help reduce the chill crawling up from her collarbone, she internally cursed herself for forgetting to bring a scarf that day, the aftermath of her waking up late from the night before when she was helping the shaggy-haired boy with his studies over the phone.
She was interrupted from her thoughts as an unexpected, warm sensation crawled up her nape, enveloping her in a small bubble of heat that burst from the object wrapped around her neck. Upon closer inspection, she noted that this object emitted an aura of warmth that paralleled its base colour; red.
… She couldn’t believe it.
As Flower turned forward, her eyes were locked with his stare, the gears in her head turning as she realised that Fukase had wrapped a scarf, his scarf, around her neck to keep her warm.
“ … Here,” He softly muttered in that same warm-hearted voice that he had used time and time again. “You kinda looked a little chilly back there so… Take this as a gift from me, heh heh,”
To say that she was speechless was a downright understatement. As the figure before her stepped back a little (much to her disappointment), Flower glanced at the new scarf coiled around her neck. In some way, this specific sight had sparked the confidence that she had lost a few moments ago, her voice quiet but firm as she asked.
“Hey, Fukase?”
“Yeah?”
“Can I ask you something?”
“Sure, what is it?”
She gulped. Time to ask for your big favour, Flower.
“Do you… maybe… know how to make Valentine Chocolates?”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“ … Eh?”
He was just about ready to face-plant into the ground and moan into oblivion. Smart move, Fukase, The redhead scolded himself, berating himself once again for acting like a dork around his friend.
Meanwhile, in response to his (presumably) dumbfounded expression, Flower continued with a sheepish smile on her face, the spectacle of it dazzling him. She was so cute. “I know that’s really random for me, but… Well… I kinda want to make some for… this guy that I really like…” At this point, she had raised both of her hands and pressed her index fingers together shyly. “I wanted to ask Rin & Miki about it now, but since they’re not here…”
As soon as she had mentioned about the ‘guy that she really liked’, Fukase could feel his ears go deaf for a split second, the delight of walking home with her that afternoon floating away from his heart like a drop of water being lost in the sea. He couldn’t stop thinking about those words she said, the meaning behind them.
‘I kinda want to make some for this guy that I really like’
“I-it’s fine if you don’t know how…!” His white-haired angel held out her hands, frantically waving about like a panicked child, a scene that pleasantly surprised him. He wasn’t used to seeing her emote so much, after all. “I can probably just find a recipe online or something-”
“I know how to make valentine chocolate,” Fukase mumbled, shoving that growing ache down his throat, the madness mantra that he began reciting since the day he discovered his feelings for her reverberating in his head. Be happy for her. So long as she is happy, it’s fine. I’ll be fine. As long as she is… happy…
The white-haired teen widened her eyes. “Y-you do? Wait, but how do you know?”
“I got bored and tried to make some a few times before, heh heh…” Her friend cheekily replied, a joking smile breaking through his inner conflict as he posed dramatically like a drama student. “Tis the life of a sad single, wishing for someone special to give them their goodness-filled chocolate made with love and affection~” The trickster declared with the demeanor of a Shakespeare-obsessed fanatic, making the previously flabbergasted teenage girl giggle a little.
“Cut it out, you jokester,” She lightly elbowed him in the arm, though the tone of her voice sounded as if she wanted to hear him and his acting antics a little more.
“I simply cannot, my dear lady, for there is no fairness in my pursuit of love,” After hearing her laugh the second time, the eye-patch wearing boy ultimately halted in his acting stance. “Anyways, it’s probably too late for us to make it now but…”
He gave her a bold grin. “Are you free tomorrow?”
The question caught Flower off-guard. “Huh? What for?”
“I can come over and help you get all the stuff you need to make your chocolate, of course!” He insisted cheerfully, dancing about the sidewalk as the both of them continued their trek back home. “We don’t have any school tomorrow, after all. If we start in the morning, I’m sure we’ll be done by the afternoon. Though… Would you be able to give your chocolate to your crush by then?”
“I-I think so,” She stuttered a little, obviously embarrassed by the prospect of finally getting the chance to confess to her crush, the redhead reasoned. And even though there was a dark jealousy festering in his heart, he couldn’t help but smile at her cute, flustered self. “I can text him to meet somewhere after we’re done. I’m sure he’ll be free,”
“Nice! Then let’s meet by Hachiko’s statue at the Shibuya station tomorrow! I’m sure we’ll be able to get all the ingredients you need before lunch!” As if their environment was reacting to their conversation, the road up ahead conveniently forked into two directions, intending to split the both of them up as they headed to different paths back home. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Flower!”
She copied his ecstatic wave as her lips curled into another adorable smile. “See you!”
Even though the both of them were walking down different roads to different places with different people waiting for them at home, it was clear that the both of them were thinking of the same thing.
“Then… It’s a date… Isn’t it?”

“Hey now, there's no need to rush on the payment! But~ Don't even try and think about running away~”
Alisa Whiterose is a first-year student at Night Raven College and a member of Octavinelle Dorm. One of Azul's assistant ( alongside Jade and Floyd ), she doesn't hestitate to put on an act just to saw people suffered.
----------------💮-----------------
APPEARANCE: Alisa is a young girl with mid-back length silver-ish gray hair that slowly faded to pink and round ruby pink eyes. She usually put her hair into side ponytail with a white ribbon and only tied up her hair when in sport uniform or put into waterfall braid in Dorm uniform. Very flexible and fast, she often appeared and disappeared quickly and rarely ever stand still for a long time in one place. Her body can be described as an "ideal one" for many girls, hence why lots of people got jealous of her.
In her mermaid form, like Jade and Floyd, her entire body is a slightly deep pink color but it slowly faded into white around her chest area. She have sharper nails, her ears got replaced with gills and have appendages on her arms (like Jade and Floyd). Unlike the twins, she have shorter and smaller tail, fluorescent and shorter gills & appendages (don't worry, I'll draw her mermaid form... soon... maybe...)
In her Dorm uniform, she wears a black fedora with a grey bow around it and a purple sea shell on the bow. Her outfit consists of a purple dress shirt with a white necktie, a black double-breasted suit, a cool toned grey scarf with the Octavinelle logo on it and white gloves. She also wears black-and-white boots with heels and is seen wearing black tube skirts accompanied by a pair of purple thigh highs.
PERSONALITY: A girl with good communication skills, a fashionista and a gourmet, she got admired and jealous by many people due to her appearance and cheerful attitude. She can talk with almost anyone easily and won't afraid to raise her opinion at others. Although she's bad at guessing people's ages, she can still call them with respect (if they're older than her). Alisa also have a very good fashion senses and eyes when taking pictures, some of her styles even become the latest trends on MagiCam for more than a month. She also love her followers and often replied back to their comments when she have spare time, which of course, gained their affection even more.
“Huh? My fault? Fu...! Hahaha! How funny! The one decided to sign that contract is you, not me right? So, it's your fault for listening to my words in the first place!” - Alisa's initial SSR personal story ( part 1 )
However, her cheerful personality is just a facade to hide her true nature. Alisa is actually a sadistic, cruel and calculating girl who doesn't afraid to bend the truth just to get what she wants. She knows where and when to pull the right strings while acting innocently. Can manipulate anyone easily with her unique magic, though she mostly relied on her charms and only use her magic when necessary. Often have dark thoughts about others but never said it outside, to her, anyone that interested in the contract is a new "toy". Alisa also loves to lure students into signing a contract with Azul and "accidentally" mess them up so they can't do(?) the payment. While she's his assistant (along with Jade and Floyd), her ways of "working" is distinctly different from the twins. No one can really tell what her next move is, even Azul himself sometimes got surprised too.
“I wonder... why does Mom love her so much that she forgot my existence...? Huh...? O-Oh, it's nothing!” - Alisa's classroom chat no.3
Alisa also shown to despite her sister - Alice but of course, she never show it outside and always act cheerfully around her, even call her with nickname "Ari-chan" and act friendly with her. The reason why she hates her is because she think it's her fault that her mother doesn't love her anymore. Because she has stayed with her mother ever since she's still a little human child, her mother is the person who she cherished the most (until now) for taking care of her and show her the human world. That's also the reason why she strike to be the best in beauty in order to let her mother notice her again. Because of this, she decided to learn and did research on how to dress up and do make-up all by herself without anyone's guide. Alisa did mentioned once that it took her 10 years to have a very good taste in fashion like now, but she said “My mother did notice how much I changed, but, I don't understand why she still give that girl more attention!?”
This is the reason why she got sorted into Pomefiore at first and not Octavinelle. Alisa did felt very glad that she got into the most beautiful and elegant Dorm in Night Raven College, which encourage her to become even better at "being beautiful". Vil did comment that she was one of the first years that reach his standard in beauty, though of course, she still have to improve more. Although Alisa did enjoyed her time at Pomefiore, she said that she wanted to "make another step" and decided to sign a contract with Azul. That's the reason why she is now in Octavinelle. Although she can still talk with Vil normally without any problems afterwards, deep inside, she did felt guilty for leaving like that, but there's no point in crying over split milk, so she have no other choice but to keep stepping forward from now on.
“Sometimes, I like to take pictures of simple things, to me, they somewhat calmed my heart down... Haha! Weird, right?” - Alisa's school uniform R card's personal story
Aside from her cruel side, Alisa have a soft spot for taking pictures and doing yoga. Her heart is always at ease whenever she look at all the pictures she took. While she often post selfies and fashion pictures on MagiCam, her gallery actually have lots of pictures related to scenery, food or even people. (She have at least 10 pics of Azul in her phone) She also never use photoshop or editing app, because she said that “it'll ruin the beauty of the pic!”. If you want to improve your skills at taking pictures, you could always ask the gray haired girl for advice, she'll wholeheartedly guide you. Alisa is also a morning person because she often woke up early to do yoga (and dressing up too of course), hence why her body is very flexible. You could see this clearly at PE classes, even other students are also impressed with how fast she run. While she loves playing all sorts of card games, she will only accept other's challenge when they have something to bet for, to her, betting will make the game become way more interesting and thrilling, especially if anyone dared to bet their life or things that precious to them.
UNIQUE MAGIC: "Sugar-coated Words" ( 嘘の行進 "Parade of Lies" ) Can bend the truth permanently with any lies she wants ( even joke or nonsensical words, if she want to ). However, she can't lie to the same people with the same lie twice, and if they remembered the truth then the lie that she told them will become useless.
----------------💮-----------------
BACKSTORY ( just a part of it ):
She couldn't remember much what happened before she got "adopted" by Mrs.Whiterose.
The only thing she remembered was the warm, peaceful blue sea. She felt so free at that time, as if she could go anywhere she wants. She also remembered how beautiful the coral reefs look, how the dim sunlight shone gently through the water surface and how warm it was on her skin. It was a very blissful scenery, too blissful that she couldn't forget it no matter what. But, it also made her remembered the painful times too.
It's strange. Whenever she remembered that scenery, her chest unconsciously got tighten. Maybe it's because of how painful it was. But, other than that, she felt like she forgot something, no, more like someone important to her. Someone that become her friend when she was still a little fish. Someone that stand up and protect her from other mermaid's bully because she can't grow into a mermaid herself (which is a very rare case in the Sea of Coral). Someone that stand out from the other, just like her.
At first, she thought that it was a curse. A curse that can never be get rid of. She cried and cried, but because she's under the sea, no one will notice how much tear she shed because she's just a mere fish. No one will bother watching a normal fish "crying" or even "talking". In the sea, the merman have the most authority to literally do anything after all. As long as she's still a fish, no one will stand up to her when she got bullied. Because fishes are very pathetic and weak, a single slap could make them died so easily. That's why she always hate the merman, because of them she have to suffer for oh so many times. She couldn't do nothing about it except swimming away in fear, with bruised fin and scales on her small, fragile body.
Until that person appeared.
That person, unlike other merfolks, doesn't laugh at or bully her. She still remember their first encounter. It was quite interesting, to say at least. When she was hiding away in fear because of those merman again, she encountered a small cave so she quickly hide there in convenience. What she didn't expected is that another person also there. Even though she doesn't remember their appearance anymore, she still remembered clearly of how kind their words were when they saw her bruised fin. They were the first person to care for her and talk to her with such a soft, worrying and somewhat curious voice. Although they can't see it, but at that moment, she cried, her tiny droplet of tears immediately became one with the deep blue sea.
Who it is? Who is that person that always made her chest tighten whenever she remember it? Why can't she remember them now? Why? She don't want to forgot them. Especially when they're the reason why she can turn into a mermaid like now. She curse herself for not remembering one of the most important person that changed her life, but there's nothing she can do but keep rewinding the same scenery on her mind like a broken tape and hope that by any chance, she can remember their face and, if her own mind let her, then maybe their name too.

+ In Alisa's initial SSR's personal story (part 3), she did said that the ribbon was "something she hates but can't let go of it from her side"
+ She hates it if someone photobombed her pictures. And guess why she hates it? Poor Alice got tons of attention on MagiCam because she accidentally photobombed one of Alisa's selfies (Luckily she didn't lash out at her sister)
+ She love strawberry flavoured sweets to the point of eating them at least one time per day (of course, she eat various type of sweets)
+ She have lots of pastel color or girly color clothes in her room
+ Speaking of pastel color, her room also have a lot of cute and pastel colored decorations
Will add more in the future~

Anddd that's it for Alisa's grand debut! If you wondered why my artstyle looks a little different with the fem!Riddle one is because fem!Riddle was finished after I finished Alisa's design :> Again, for anyone who read until the very end, thank you very, very much 💞💞💞
Mary will be the next one to make her debut so stay tuned! 😊 Anyway, peace~~

Sad tales of a 20 something. -FRIENDS AND WEIRD WAYS TO FIND THEM-
Hello! Back again from a long ass time of taking a break from this site and my 2 followers who don’t even reblog my writings.
Anyway, the reason i’m back is because i actually show this blog to one of my bestestssss friends in the world and encourage me to keep going and well here i am.
So i was thinking, maybe since a friend of mine made me come back, I should write about that. So this is it, an Ode to my friends.
I have always been sort of a friendly character, at least in my mind i am. Even when i was a kid and used to cry a lot and be a bit on the side shy, I always had a lot of friends. I even dare to say I was one of the first girls in my fifth grade class yo have actual good guy friends, not only the “popular” kids that chased girls to see under their skirts. Actual good and close friends that I’m still friends with.
So, I went to the same school from elementary until high school, meaning that i had been with the same people for around 12 years, and damn i was tired of it, not from my friends, not from a lot of people to be honest, but maybe more with myself and my lack of abilities to make new friends.
That leads me to my new found weird way to make friends. It started in college when i started as a music engineer major before switching to media and film. Engineering not always equals to men, in this case i guess it did. Some may say having all guy friends is easier no drama and shit, and is true for some part, I’m still grateful of all the guys of my Music engineering program that adopted me and ate lunch with me every day, not to the rest of engineering students that are “nice guys” by mansplaining anything on the math class board before the teacher (female) started explaining, though not gonna lie i didn’t understand shit, i still didn’t want some greasy hair guy with a weird stain on his shirt, that i pray it was toothpaste, to explain me shit. I can fail this class on my own thank you very much.
My first girl friend in college was a girl on the bus that i knew my cousins was a friend with but never formally met her before and i chatted her ear off in the way home, i was so excited i forgot i could be a chatty bitch when i feel happy. When they left the bus (her and her roommate who is lovely too) I started to replay everything we talked about and was already very much regretting living because i was so cringey. I guess i wasn’t that bad, I got a Facebook friend request and became pretty close after that.
First friend I made in my new major program (who i made before switching because of mutual clases) was a girl that i always saw in my favorite class, “Signs, symbols and significances” she was funny, very friendly and clearly friends with at least three quarters of the class. I decided that was my next mission, i left my guy friends side after an exam in our common class and went literally running towards her and another girl (amazing person too) I asked them in the most awkward way how the exam was for them and even if they thought i was weird they didn’t show it and were so nice with me.
I made a mistake though, I told the girl i had a mission on (to be close to) she seemed familiar outside class and she said i did too but we couldn’t remember where from. Until I realized she was the girl that i met in my first day of school in math class and sat next to her. That, until i didn’t hear my name while checking the list and was told that wasn’t the math class, everyone laughed i stand up and trip and yell “puta madre” so hard everyone laughed again. I then found out that story was so funny to her she actually used it as an ice breaker when meeting new people and started introducing me as the “puta madre” to everyone. At least she got me a lot of new friends, and besides having passed more than 5 years, she still reminds me of it and she still is one of my closest friends.
Another story, I was an exchange student and knew nothing about the culture (only basics, didn’t want to be rude), the language or anyone in this new country. I was so lost I literally was trying hookup apps to meet friends (never works tho, at least on me). It was my second day in Seoul and saw there was a kpop concert of one of the three groups I actually knew and my baby brother was a fan of, i checked and there were some tickets left, bought them, put on a pretty dress and left. Going to a concert alone is not that bad, going to a concert alone in a country you have been for 5 minutes and also understand shit, that is a fucking nightmare.
I met some friendly girls from USA that helped me out to figure the shit out in the venue, they told me they were living in Korea for like 5 years and still couldn’t even read, which i thought wow kinda disrespectful but anyway i wasn’t going to let go of anyone friendly anytime soon. Met some other girls that came to the country only for the concert which wow commitment. And then I was left alone again when taking the seats (standing spots to be exact). The concert was cool even if I didn’t understand shit and I’m 87% sure I even caught eyes with some of the guys in the group a few times. The concert ended and I wish I could say I captivated one of the kpop guys and that is my next friend meeting story but, nope is not and honestly i wouldn’t change it for any of the hot men that were on stage.
Fast forward the first day of school, i was lost and ask a girl for a classroom, she was very nice and told me where it was but that the class was in like 30 more minutes. We made small talk and i sat on a bench in the opposite way of her. The girl next to her was saying she had this next class that sounded kinda familiar, and I realized it was my same class so I told her to go together. Once inside the classroom I saw her phone and she had a familiar face as her screensaver, it clicked, it was one of the guys of the concert! I asked her and she said it was him and that she went to the concert too and we decided to had lunch together. From that day on we became pretty much inseparables, until she got the sleaziest guy in the world as a boyfriend but we don’t talk about shit in my safe space so that is a story for another day. Besides that terrible guy and his best friend who dated me only to dumped me weeks later to play LOL 24/7, I got my baby, my mijita who i love so very much and again, wouldn’t change a bit.
Lastly in this post, not in life nor in place of my heart, is a little blessing (literally) that came to me from heaven! She didn’t even know this, but a semester before she was having her abroad year in my country I was in one my deepest holes in my life. My mind was empty but my eyes always filled with sad tears. That semester before, nothing major changed in routine, in my family, in my life as in general. But somehow it did in my brain, my heart was feeling agitated for no reason, my palms were sweaty and shaking all the time and my brain was as it was shut down. I got the big D, and not as in a big nice dick getting me fucked, but another type of fucked nonetheless. Depression, the kind of weird illness that can’t be seen but oh dude it can be felt, and felt is all i did, i felt sadness, loneliness even with a full house and a full line of friends ready to help me. Sometimes shit just happens.
Took a semester off and when I came back I decided to faked it until i made it, and it was going great. I did cry back at home a few times a week but i could hold it during classes or in front of people, great advance. I decided to focus in what made feel best, dressing in my favorite shit and letting everyone out of my arts and humanities department have a nice view of it. And then I see her, weird to say i still remember how cool she looked, tall as fuck, wearing all black, shaved head and what i got to find out were her trusty black vans. I got obsessed with her fashion style and decided my next mission, be friends with her, or at least for her to acknowledge my presence. I saw her talking to a close friend (another great meet cute story for another day) so i decided it was my moment, I said hi and was introduced to her, we chatted a few minutes and got along pretty well. Her amazing style and bad ass british accent made me feel i was in bad rom-com where we were both straight and platonically soulmates. I saw her again outside the bathroom while i was waiting some friends, we talked for an hour, she invited me to a party and we had dinner first (so romantic, I know) at dinner I thought it was going to be awkward until we both realized our mutual love for SZA and Idris Elba. We never stopped talking after that, she even went back to my hometown for 2 weeks with me, where all my family loved her and strangers treated her like a celebrity. She calls my parents tíos and we talk as much as we can now that she is back at her country.
I miss her everyday and there is not a minute I am not grateful i met her.
These are some of the stories of how I met some of my friends, my closest ones and those that are still with me in every step I take. I can tell you one million more ways of how i met friends i love so dearly, but that is for some other day my hands aren’t hurting for writing only with my thumbs in my phone.
And what I care and love most about all these, is that I would never want to change being the weird girl that catches a hunch and runs towards people that will mean the world for.
FRIENDS I LOVE YOU ALL.

His Bloody Rose (Stefano Valentini fanfiction) Chapter 4 - Guest Speaker
I walked into my second class of the day, still shaken from the morning's proceedings. Stefano had been nothing but kind and respectful to me for the two times I had spoken with him. Questions fluttered around in my head all day, especially why an absolute stranger felt the need to kiss me on the head.
Why would he show me his work when I was just a gallery attendant? Why would he be so kind to me after the first impression I seemed to make was "rude observer" and "clumsy woman."
I set all my things down as I took my usual seat, pulling out my laptop to take notes. My muscle memory was ingrained enough I could probably take notes without thinking too much. Hopefully at all, hopefully distracting myself from literally anything.
People chatting filled the room until the teacher walked to the front. The voices died down and waited for her to speak, recognizing that as the sign that class was going to begin. I rubbed my temple as I felt a headache coming on, pulling out my second coffee thermos to try and stay awake through this class.
I opened my laptop and typed in the password, opening a webpage to get to my documents saved in a cloud. The teacher began speaking as a new page loaded, making glance up as I typed out the date and waited for the information.
"Well, I hope everyone is having a good Monday." said the teacher as she usually did every Monday.
The class rippled with some quiet laughter. I smiled without joining in. I didn't feel like emoting right now, I wasn't in the right mindset for that.
"Like I said last time, we have a guest speaker today. It's the Chief Officer from Krimson City's police department."
The class half-hardheartedly clapped as the police officer made his way to the front of the class, the professor making her way to the back of the classroom to observe. He smiled and raised his hand, causing everyone to become silent again.
"Hello, everyone, thank you." he began, turning to the computer and inserting a flash drive. When a window opened, he opened a PowerPoint and turned it to full screen.
I began typing along with the officer as he spoke, keeping my mind on my hands on the keyboard. "Criminology class, guest lecture, name..."
"I am Officer Phi," said the officer as he walked to the side of the presentation, holding the remote to the projector. "I am the chief at the KCPD, and I'm sure I've met or will meet all of you eventually."
The class laughed again.
"Today, I've been asked to talk about the mentality of most criminals that we come across in this profession." The slide changed as he talked, a picture of several drugs laying on a table near a ruler after being seized appearing.
"Most of what we deal with are drug users, homeless, and burglars or muggings." He turned with a knowing smile to the class. "Who can tell me the difference between a burglar and a robbery?"
A few people raised their hands. He selected one of the students across the aisle from me, "A robber takes something from a victim that's present, and a burglar doesn't need or doesn't have a victim present while the crime is being committed."
"Absolutely correct." Officer Phi switched the slide, now presenting a photocopied sheet from a book. "For this class, let's go over the personality traits of some of these people. Or, more importantly, what leads these individuals to commit these crimes?"
I typed out the notes along with the slides, listening as the officer monologued with his slides and occasionally asking questions to keep the class engaged. I listened and tried to commit it to memory, since some of what he was saying I knew would be on the next test. I wondered slightly if the teacher had encouraged him to make his presentation about certain things to relate his lecture to real life. I typed the traits of common criminals, desperate situations tend to lead to robbing, depression or helplessness leads to substance abuse, and several other things that were being highlighted.
As we were moving on from common traits that make someone a common criminal, someone raised their hands.
"Yes, do you have a question?" Officer Phi asked as he pointed at them.
"Sorry, sir, since this is a little off topic, but could you tell us about the traits that make a serial killer?"
The room went silent. The atmosphere felt tense and the question hung in the air. No one seemed to move, as though someone had hit a pause button on the scene.
Officer Phi eventually sighed, then walked to the teacher's desk and sat down on an open spot in front of the computer. He still paused, and I could see him looking at the teacher in the back of the room. Eventually he straightened up and spoke again.
"I suppose I should have prepared for this question," he laughed slightly. "Unfortunately we don't have enough information on this serial killer's habits just yet. However, there are a few things that we can say about this one."
"We haven't covered serial killers just yet," the teacher spoke up from the back of the room. "But if you want to take notes for when the chapter comes up, feel free."
Officer Phi nodded, then continued. "The evaluations of what we do know has come back from the FBI, and a behavior profile has been made of them. What we do know, from previous serial killer cases like this, is he or she is likely to be a charismatic individual."
I went to the top of the page and made a new paragraph and typed along with what the officer was saying. Writing notes at the top of the page on an unrelated subject felt best.
"From what we know, it's likely they are attractive and lead people to believe they are safe around him or her."
I mentally scoffed. It's rare that I see anyone as attractive, and especially any serial killer story I've looked into doesn't appear to be attractive. But whatever, some people think they're attractive, and kudos to them. I typed out the attractive note and wrote "subjective, I'm sure" as a mental tagline.
"This killer seems to view the woman he or she has killed as objects, and seems to believe he's entitled to their body, and seems to only have interest in women since no men have shown up dead with the same Modus Operandi. Perhaps not in a sexual way, since none of the victims seem to have been sexually assaulted, but certainly in a very perverse and... enigmatic way."
Officer Phi took a breath and paused, closing his eyes as though to compose himself.
"From what we can tell, the victims didn't know their killer long term, only briefly knowing them. Perhaps a modelling agent as most of the women were aspiring models in some form, which would be a quick way to allow these women to lower their guard around the murderer."
He paused again. Something picked at the back of my head, about the mention of models. I decided to ignore it for now, but I could always come back to it. I made a note in the back of my head to revisit it once I reread these notes.
"This serial killer seems to have a distinct affection for actions while dismembering his or her victims." Phi scratched at the back of his head.
I wrinkled my nose. I had an issue with how he used the word "affection" and "actions" in the way he did. It sounded more like poetry than a statement or cautionary explanation from a police officer. It was definitely a romanticism of what the serial killer was doing; he was filling in the gaps for the students with information we don't know, for all anyone knew he was just interested in dismembering his victims to hide their identities and throw off police.
"He prefers to know how they react to their surroundings, perverting their environment and shifting the scene from trustworthy to nightmarish."
Officer Phi looked out at the crowd of students as he spoke. I could see him glancing over each student, studying each one carefully.
"The killer seems to gravitate towards young women especially, women upcoming in their lives, moving forward with their dreams. This serial killer likes to victimize women with pale skin, with as few imperfections like freckles, scars, or acne and so on as possible. They like victims with dark hair, brown or black, none we seem to have found have had a lighter hair color."
I realized that we were no longer just students to him. At least for the pale females in the room, he was looking at all of us as potential victims. He was trying to look at all of us through the serial killer's eye, see us as they might see us, and single out who could be the next victim in order to catch the killer or save the life of the next girl.
"Unfortunately other details completely vary. The length of the victim's hair, the ages, the eye color, and their heights all change from each victim."
I continued typing as he talked.
"Make no mistake, we are doing all we can to stop this killer. We are using all resources available to us, and we will be receiving more detectives and more help from the FBI shortly. While we don't know much just yet about this killer, we will catch them, and we will hold them accountable for their crimes."
"So how do we keep ourselves safe?" asked one girl. I glanced up and saw she was pale with a fair complexion and dark hair. I mentally agreed with her, seeing the fear written clearly on her face.
"Make sure everyone knows who you're meeting and where you're going. If you think you are likely to be attacked or targeted, please make sure that you are in contact with someone at all times. Don't believe everything anyone says, and especially if someone tries to get you alone make sure you do not spend time alone with them. Even if you trust them, make sure at least one person you also trust or especially are meeting later knows who you are going alone with."
I wrote at the top of the paragraph "How to protect yourself" since I was unable to keep up with what the officer was saying. I frowned slightly, hoping the note would be enough as I continued typing.
"Well that's certainly some food for thought." The teacher spoke up from the back of the class. "I'm afraid we'll have to cut these questions short. Let's get back to the presentation."
Officer Phi nodded in agreement. "I'm sorry for getting so off topic. If you have any more questions or worries about the serial killer, I'll still be here for a little bit after your class ends. I have to make a public statement later today, so going over the details again is always good. Now, where were we with this presentation...?"
The subject moved on and we continued talking and listening to the officer's lecture about common criminals. I continued typing out notes along with him, but every once in a while I would scroll back up to review the list of things about the serial killer. I kept filling in what I could remember from the last statement he had made about staying safe. I tried keeping a level head, knowing that I would be safe since I'm not likely to be targeted.
The class ended, and I gathered my things. I tucked my computer and coffee thermos into my bag, pulling it over my shoulder, and making my way out the door. I hoped I could make it to the bus, sometimes the class runs too late and I miss my bus to go home.
I made my way home to my apartment and tossed all my school supplies by my bed when I got in the door. I pulled off my bra and changed into some pajamas. I couldn't care less about anything else happening around me, ignoring any other assignments assigned or lectures I had sat through, knowing I had earned a long and heavy sleep. So many of the thoughts and interactions today left me drained. I hadn't slept well over the weekend, so hopefully today is what's enough to completely knock me out.
I collapsed into my bed with a sigh, trying to let my mind unwind from the day's proceedings, the time I had spent trying to draw and scrolling through the social medias I had. The news story of the dismembered woman and what the chief had said in class floated back to me. My mind couldn't help but think on what the chief officer had said about being safe. How can you stay safe when you know so little about a killer other than their killing habits.
The ride home had gone by, thankfully, without much need for cognitive thought. My eyes fluttered closed with the fleeting thought of how my class in criminology was the only one with constant guest speakers.
Unavoidably, my mind went back to Stefano and the pictures he showed me. The curiosity about him surged back to life in the back of my mind, the way he had looked at me after he had kissed me continuing to draw itself up from the surfaces of my subconscious. He had looked at me so intense both times he moved his lips away from my skin, eyes like an electric storm at sea, lit up and wide, as though ready to pounce at another word. I was oddly curious about that man, wondering what he had gone through to prompt a change in how he had seen the world, and what was going through his mind when he would act like an old friend to me.
But I couldn't let myself think about that right now. I'm too tired to think it through. My mind is just too full of information and too groggy to sort any form of properly coherent thoughts.
For now, all I desire is sleep...

Adrinette April 2019 Day 23
@adrinetteapril thank you for all you’ve done for the event. I know this one is probably to late for the re-blog. If it’s not a problem over the next few days I would like to tag you in my remaining posts just so you can see what I’ve done.
This was my fist ever ‘writing prompt’ event. And I actually only just created my tumbler so I could take part in Adrinette April 2019. I’m going to also do Marichat May and the other two sides. May take me a little to start though.
THANK YOU FOR MANAGING ADRINETTE APRIL 2019 WITH FLARE AND GUSTO!!!!
Day 23 - Fashion Show
(PLEASE NOTE - THE EXPLOSION IS FICTIOUS. I MADE IT UP FOR THE SAKE OF THE STORY. I DO NOT WISH FOR ANYTHING LIKE THIS TO EVER HAPPEN TO ANYONE.)
It’s just the class. It’s just our families. It’s raising funds for a worthy cause. It’s a chance to show my work before I get big.
Marinette tried to calm herself down with these reassurances. She had been floored when Jagged Stone had approached her for another commission. He had loved his shades so much and they were such a big hit on the tour he had done that he wanted an actual outfit designed.
Tikki had been offering comfort to Marinette the 2 weeks it had been going on. She had been such a source of encouragement Marinette would never have gotten through it with her sanity intact. Well, Tikki and all the others that helped her with this.
As she paced in front of Adrien getting into make up she wondered, ‘How did one outfit end up being a fashion show?’
--------
Originally she had been meeting with Jagged and Penny for a new outfit to tour in. After talking with Jagged she had 5 designs that she wanted to show him. He had liked 4 of them but couldn’t decide which one to use and was suggesting she make them all up. He’d pay for them of course, and if they were all really good he’d use them in his shows.
Penny had joked about Jagged being a personal fashion show for Marinette.
It was at that moment the TV in the hotel suite broke the news that there had been an explosion on the D20 outskirts of Saint-Vulbas. Some terrorists had been on the way to the Bugey Nuclear Power Plant with a bomb in a large van. There was evidence they were going to drive as close to the reactors as they could. However police had stopped the truck before they could get anywhere near the plant. The suspects decided to set of the bomb anyways and the explosion destroyed a portion of the city, leaving a 1km crater that took out a good portion of the town.
Already emergency crews were on the scene and the French Government had offered relief and aid to the small town. A list of places people could donate food, clothing and blankets was being created and the news anchor was urging everyone to help any way they could.
“I want to help them.” Marinette said as the news cast went on. “I want to send them something. I could get some material make blankets and maybe even simple shirts in lots of sizes and slip on pants.” She started pacing and planning, “My parents could make some breads and croissants and we could ship them. And I could organize a food drive at the school with...”
Penny cut Marinette off. “That’s a lot to do for you. It’s great to help out but you don’t want to overdo it yourself and get too exhausted to manage it.” She placed a hand on Marinette’s shoulder. “Also buying all that material to make clothes will be expensive. It might be better to do a clothing and food drive. You don’t need to make it a big show.”
“Yes she does Penny.” Jagged had stood up as well.
“What?” Both ladies said.
“A big show! We can help her put on a big show and gather up supplies, clothes, food and donations towards re-building. Did you say with me using 4 of her outfits on tour I’d be her own fashion show?”
“I meant it as a joke Jagged.” Penny said.
“But we could make it real! We can help her set it. She designs a few more outfits and we get some of her school chums to show them off. Charge at the door! Have a set up for dropping off clothes and food at the show.” Jagged pulled Marinette to his side. “It will be big! I know you can do it.” He grabbed Penny and said theyd be in touch. He was going to talk to the mayor about renting the ballroom.
Tikki floated up from Marinette’s purse. “What just happened?”
“I’m not sure Tikki,” Marinette looked at the little red kwami. “I think I was just signed up to do a fashion show.”
Over the next few days it was sorted out that Penny and Jagged were going to organize most of it. Marinette just had to come up with 4 more designs and sew 8 outfits in 2 weeks.
--------
After staying up late for 2 days designing the other 4 outfits it showed on Marinette. It was first period and she was asleep at her desk.
Adrien looked at her as he walked in with Nino. He turned to Alya, “What’s wrong with Marinette?”
“She managed to finish the last of the designs last night.” Alya said while patting Marinette’s head. “Poor girl is so stressed right now.”
“Oh, the fashion show to raise funds for Saint-Vulbas. I was thinking of asking my dad if I could be a model for her show.” Adrien looked at Marinette with fondness.
“Well, you’ll have to let her know today. After school she’s going have to get the measurements of everyone and start sewing all 8 outfits tonight. Jagged is picking her up after dinner to go buy the material she needs.” Alya continued to stroke Marinette’s hair.
“She’s sewing them all on her own?” Nino asked.
“Mmm hm.” Alya nodded. “I would love to help her but I keep making a mess of things when I try to sew.”
“I could ask my dad for help.” Adrien spoke.
“Really?” Alya asked.
“Yeah, I know we’re in between shows and shoots so things aren’t busy for the seamstresses. Maybe dad would be willing to let one or two of them help out. They know how to sew on a deadline.” Adrien glanced at the sleeping girl. “Do you think she would like the help? I don’t want to come across as her not being able to do it, but that is a lot of work.”
Marinette chose that moment to wake up with a start. “Put your sleeves back on!” She yelled.
Alya, Nino and Adrien were shocked for a moment. Then they all burst out laughing.
“Not funny guys.” Marinette realized what had happened. “I had a horrible dream that one of my dresses decided it looked better without sleeves and took them off itself.”
“That is funny.” Nino chuckled.
“Hey Marinette?” Adrien asked softly.
“Yeah?” she responded sleepily.
“Would you be alright if I asked my dad if we could get help from one of the seamstresses? You give them the designs and they can do the sewing for some of the outfits.” He smiled at her.
“I wouldn’t want to put them out. I’m supposed to be designing the outfits and I should make them.” She was interrupted by a yawn before she could go on.
“It’s not a problem. You need the help. 8 outfits in 2 weeks while still going to school is going to be a lot. Also,” Adrien started before she could argue further. “While my dad designs, he really doesn’t do the sewing anymore. Maybe on a specific outfit but he usually gets the seamstresses to do the work.”
Marinette thought for a moment and nodded. She was way too tired to put up much of a fight. Besides, all Adrien was going to do was ask. Didn’t mean that his dad would help.
--------
Adrien went home for lunch and asked Nathalie if he could chat with father for a moment.
She came back after Adrien had finished eating and said that his father would see him now.
Adrien asked his father first if it was alright if he was a model for Marinette and Jagged’s fashion show. Adrien explained what the show was for and how much work Marinette was going to have to do and how he’d really like to help her out. Would he be willing to have a few of his designs in the show too to help draw in more people.
Gabriel agreed to Adrien modelling as it was for a good cause. However he would not have his designs in the fashion show. After all it was supposed to be Marinette’s designs. He commented that 8 outfits in less than 2 weeks would be hard for a school girl so he agreed to lend two seamstresses to help out. But they would all have work in the studio downtown.
Adrien thanked his dad and went back to school really happy. He told Marinette what his dad was going to do.
She almost passed out.
During the last class the teacher said that in support of the Fashion Show Fundraiser Marinette could take this time to get the measurements of the students willing to be models and that those who wanted to help out in others ways could meet with Penny in the main yard to talk about how they could help with the food and clothing drive portion of the fashion show.
Adrien, Kim, Max and Nino would be the male models. Chloe, Juleka, Rose and Alix would be the female models.
Ivan, Mylene, Sabrina and Alya decided to help out at the drives. Nathanael says he is going to ask Penny if it would be alright if he did some artwork that could be sold. Lila says she is helping her mother with some of the government organized things and asks to leave.
Since Adrien’s measurements are in his dad’s file Marinette quickly takes the measurements of the others and has Adrien write them down.
-----------
When Jagged comes by after dinner he says they are swinging by the Agreste place first.
“Why are we going there?” Marinette asks.
“We’re picking up Adrien Agreste. His dad called me this afternoon and said you could have access to his fabric room to pick out stuff for the outfits.” Jagged helped her into the car. “Adrien is going to allow us access into the building.”
Marinette was floored.
Over the next week and a half Marinette went to school during the day and then her and Adrien would go to his fathers business offices downtown and she’d look over what the 2 ladies had done. As the seamstresses could work all day long they said they’d do the majority of the outfits for Marinette.
Marinette insisted on making Adrien’s and Rose’s outfits herself as they were going to be the only matched pair.
Rose drops by a couple of nights in a row for fittings. Adrien has been hanging out with Marinette the whole time. Chatting, trying on the outfit and just watching her sew. The other class mates came by 4 days before the show for their first fittings.
With 2 days before the show all the outfits were complete and final fittings were done.
--------
The afternoon of the show Marinette was a bundle of nerves.
Marinette was pacing and worrying in front of Adrien as a makeup artist put on the final touches before he was to go out for the show. “Oh gawd, what if people see the outfits and hate them and demand their money back. What if someone trips and breaks a leg or an arm. What if Hawk Moth finally decides to attack. I’m glad that he hasn’t done anything since the bombing but he could change his mind today. What if..”
Adrien, finished with makeup, got up, went over to Marinette and put his hands on her shoulders to stop her.
“Everything will be fine. Everyone is in their outfits and they look great. They’re getting makeup on. We all went through rehearsals yesterday and know where to walk. Safety inspectors have looked over everything and it’s all safe. Nathalie is stagemanaging.” Adrien kissed Marinette’s forehead. “Nothing will go wrong.”
Marinette blushed and almost forgot to breathe.
“Yeah Mari,” Kim struck a pose, “These outfits are amazing.”
“I feel pretty.” Juleka said. And she looked it. Everyone else made positive remarks about how everything looked and how well it would go.
“Now,” Adrien put an arm around Marinette and steered her towards Penny and Jagged. “Go. You need to be with them greeting people before coming back her before the show actually starts. We’ll take care of everything back here until then. When the last of us have come out for the final walk you join us on the stage and receive your well earned congratulations.”
Marinette looked at all her friends backstage and almost started to cry. “Thank you everyone.” She then went out and hugged Jagged. Now she just had to wait for the show to start.

timeline of zhai tianlin drama
—aka, why OS s2 is in peril: the tl;dr is that people are casting suspicion on zhai tianlin’s phd thesis’ validity + it’s blown up. this is taken from this weibo post here that tried to give a summary / timeline of events (note that as far as i can tell, OP is biased against ztl...)
note that a lot of (if not all) of these claims are unsubstantiated / based on questionable “evidence.” my heart goes out to ztl for having to deal with the massive influx of hate — tags abt this have been trending all week, and this drama’s even made the news. (link to english article, south china morning post)
avenuex also made a video about it here (which i haven’t watched yet bc frankly i don’t have the emotional energy, but i’ve heard it’s good)
throughout the post they refer to ztl as “翟博士” which is lit. doctor/phd zhai. whether or not it’s snarky... well... i’ll leave it to you to decide. all my additions in the form of links or supplementary info are in square brackets.
一个翟博士引发的惨案 / lit. a massacre that dr. zhai started
背景:翟博士微博晒出北大光华学院博士后站录取通知书,自勉“加油,小翟”。
background: dr. zhai shared on weibo his acceptance letter to the brilliant beijing university, encouraging himself with the caption “加油 [jiayou], xiao zhai” (approx. keep up the good work, little zhai) 第一波:翟博士不知知网。网友问他能否在知网看见他的博士论文,他一头雾水问“知网是什么” 翟博士:自我挽尊“我说不知道1+1=2都有人信”。 the first wave: dr. zhai didn’t know about 知网 [zhiwang] / China National Knowledge Infrastructure (wiki link provided, but it’s a research database similar to jstor in the west). netizens asked if they would be able to read his phd thesis on CNKI. completely confused, he asked: “what’s CNKI?”
dr zhai [later], trying to save his own dignity: “people would believe me even if i said i didn’t know 1+1=2.”
[ie. he commented this to note that he meant it sarcastically. ppl on the net didn’t believe him, sparking the next events...]
the second wave: dr. zhai doesn’t have a paper in the CSSCI (a rather unhelpful wiki link provided, essentially the largest social science publication citation index in china + a measure by which a publication’s authenticity/accredibility is measured). netizens searched across CNKI and found that dr. zhai didn’t have any papers [cited] in the CSSCI, though according to usual university graduation standards, theses must be published [into the system].
dr. zhai had no time to attend class while filming. netizens analyzed dr. zhai’s workload during his phd program [2014-2018] and found that he was always either filming or doing promotional activities — there was no way he could have had time to attend full-time schooling during the semester.
his studio’s damage control: “[ztl’s] doctoral thesis will be organized and uploaded by his university,” “through correspondence [long-distance teaching], his advisor oversaw his studies”
第三波: 网友继续质疑没有c刊论文如何答辩。 粉丝拿翟博士唯一发表在《广电时评》文章挽尊,但被嘲笑不是c刊,又挽尊北电不一定用c刊。
the third wave: netizens continue to question — without a published thesis, how could he defend his dissertation?
fans tried to defend him with an essay he published in “广电时评” [a film-related magazine], but were mocked because that wasn’t a CSSCI publication. fans also tried to defend him saying that beijing film academy [where ztl got his phd] didn’t necessarily use CSSCI. 第四波:于妈下场。于妈发出对话截图,证明翟博士有十万字论文,且高达645k,赞他写的好。 网友质疑十万字论文怎么只有600多k,引用文献和开头学校图标都没有吗。 the fourth wave: mama yu [nickname for director yu zheng, notable for shows like story of yanxi palace + yin zheng’s upcoming winter begonia] appears. yu posts a screenshot of their chat history [with picture of attachments sent], proving that dr. zhai had a thesis w/ over 100,000 words, and a file size of over 645 kilobytes, praising that he wrote it well.
netizens call into question why a 100,000 word thesis is only ~600 kilobytes — was there no bibliography, or even a icon [ie. picture file which would increase file size dramatically] of his school[’s logo]?
[unfortunately... this didn’t really help his case, considering yu zheng has also been involved in controversy regarding plagiarism allegations many times]
第五波:同学被拖下水扒皮。与翟博士一起毕业的其他学生名单被翻出,网友挨个知网查询,均有3-5篇论文,有人非c刊。 电博士不用发c刊论文,含金量受质疑。
the fifth wave: classmates are pulled into the controversy + not spared. the list of the other classmates that graduated w/ dr. zhai was dug up. netizens searched each of them one by one on CNKI: they all had 3-5 papers, some didn’t have CSSCI publications.
beijing film academy’s phd students don’t need to publish CSSCI-level papers — beijing film academy’s academic standards are called into question.
the sixth wave: dr. zhai’s plagiarism. the essay [mentioned earlier], published in 广电时评 was ran through CNKI and [supposedly] had a similarity rating of over 40%, with passages plagiarized from papers over ten years old.
professor huang li hua posted on his wechat: “the one who acted on 春晚 [lunar new year broadcast show] as someone exposing cops as fake has to be exposed by me as a fake.”
[ztl’s] studio officially announced that no academic dishonesty had taken place.
[huang later continued, translation from the south china morning post: “The celebrity’s management company claimed Zhai had no academic misconduct issues, but my essays a decade ago were copied paragraph by paragraph. The truth trumps his argument,” Huang wrote on the Chinese social media app WeChat.] 第七波:学术不端列撤。四川大学将翟博士事件列为学术不端案例,几日后又删除。
the seventh wave: removal from “academic dishonesty” list. sichuan university listed dr. zhai’s case as an example of academic dishonesty, but deleted it after a few days. [link to the world’s worst screenshot] 第八波:导师被拖下水扒皮。翟博士导师被扒出,身为博导却是本科毕业!导师另一位弟子也无c刊论文。
the eighth case: [ztl’s] academic advisor is dragged into the controversy. dr. zhai’s advisor was dug up — he was appointed phd advisor, but had only an undergraduate degree! another one of this advisor’s students also didn’t have a CSSCI-level publication. 第九波:官媒发声。人民日报、共青团微博、紫光阁等官媒发表对翟博士的质疑。 北电回应:自查自纠小组成立。 北大回应:看北电查的怎么样根据规则处理。
the ninth wave: official state media starts reporting: people’s daily [newspaper], the communist youth league’s weibo, tower of purple light [magazine], etc. publish articles regarding the suspicion surrounding dr. zhai
beijing film academy’s response: an internal investigation committee has been established.
beijing university’s response: we will wait on beijing film academy’s investigation results, and then follow standard regulations to deal with this matter.
[ according to smcp: around this time, essay is also reported to have been taken down from CKNI the tenth wave: a university dean is pulled into the controversy. [one of the] advisors dr. zhai had to defend his dissertation against to graduate, dean zhang of beijing film academy’s acting school, is revealed to have married a student (surname liu) of his born in the 90′s(?), despite being over fifty himself. she was also a classmate of yang zi [this is very irrelevant but she’s a very famous post-90′s actress who graduated from beijing film academy. you might know her for being in ashes of love.]
a movie production studio under beijing film academy invested in producing a movie where dean zhang + his wife liu were the male/female leads, getting yang zi, zhang yishan, and guan xiaotong [all v v v v famous] to play supporting roles, though it only made 750,000 at the box office.
[so i did some digging and it appears that this is the movie they’re talking about. again it’s mostly irrelevant if you ask me, but maybe you wanted to know. mostly the controversy is for like, taking a really young wife and then making beijing film academy pay for his romantic fantasy movie lol.
what does this have to do with zhai tianlin? pretty much nothing tbh] 第十一波:北电侯亮平、阿廖沙再次被提起……北电的水有多深? 豆瓣赐翟博士新绰号:靖北侯。
the eleventh wave: previous allegations of professors’ sexual assault cases / misconduct brought back into question ... how much is beijing film academy hiding?
[ the specific cases they reference are 阿廖沙 and 侯亮平, both web names that anonymous posters used on weibo to report/investigate sexual assault allegations at beijing film academy. (the second name is a reference to a character in a tv show who’s a anti-corruption prosecutor); i can talk about those cases but it’d take a whole separate post — tl;dr anonymous poster shares account of sexual assault and ensuing ostracization from faculty/classmates when they tried to bring it to light and ultimately turned to weibo. it was a rly big trending topic for a while back in 2017. ]
douban confers on dr. zhai a new nickname: 靖北侯
[the meaning, v. approx “peaceful north marquis” is a reference back to “平西王,” “peaceful west king/prince,” the nickname for 薄熙来 (bo xilai), a PRC politician sentenced to life imprisonment for corruption — obviously, the 北/bei also refers to beijing film/uni + 候 is a convenient callback to the previous anon investigator into beijing film sexual assault cases]
that was very very long. i hope this was somewhat helpful ;-; chinese social media has been blowing up about this, this is an attempt to capture some of the context. (this has been stressing me and my friends out as well — fingers crossed for ztl to get out of this unscathed.)

Web of Lies or Web of Ties?
Let me just start by asking you a question.
How many people do you actually know that you follow on Instagram?
Imagine scrolling through your ‘following’ list right now. How many of the accounts would you be able to confidently say you know personally? Not just know of through a friend of friend of their brothers girlfriend, but actually, seriously, can call a legitimate worthy friend?
These days, people use social media to follow and connect with friends, family and also influencers and celebrities who are considered relevant to their lives and goal. ‘Following’ is a crucial process in every users experience and can become misused tool when the element of connectivity is abused, especially if you begin to share private photos with people you don’t really know. The most followed accounts on Instagram belong to Cristiano Ronaldo (152.62 million) and Selena Gomez (144.75 million). Regular people who may not have even met either celebrity will follow them in order to keep updated with upcoming music releases or football team transfers because the information is perceived important to their lives. In adjunct to this information, it is worth admitting that we, as the general public, seek factual or even pointless knowledge about regular people that is unlikely to be beneficial for us to learn. It’s a strange concept, but we now live most of our lives online whereby everything is accessible and this is making us become reliant on instant gratification when seeking information regarding other people’s business (basically, we are just nosy).
Take the incident, for example, which broke the internet in 2018 when Kylie Jenner's secret pregnancy was finally revealed, after a year of speculation, with the birth of her daughter, Stormy. Now I’m not sure about you, but I was shamefully interested in the news way more than I should have been for someone other wise unbothered by other celebrity pregnancies. Online communities stalked the Jenner in what should have been a private journey through the beginnings of motherhood, which exploded with posts and images about the new arrival as soon as the hint of information was published. Now, unfortunately I don’t actually know any of the Kardashians nor do their life choices affect me in any way, shape or form... so why do I even care? Well truthfully, it’s because it’s shoved in all of our faces by every social media platform we are on and there’s really no escaping it, so naturally you kinda become interested. I think every man and their nan got a little hype from the announcement of Stormy’s birth.
Social networking sites, like Facebook, are becoming more accessible to people of all ages due to their attractable features targeting basically every age category. There’s news coverage for the oldies and games for the young'uns (one word, Farmville). Users now as young as 13, which is the minimum age requirement, can create an active profile which encourages them to take their first few steps into the addictive world of social networking. Now, I know I speak for a lot of millennials when I say that this never happens. I joined Facebook when I was 10 years old. I’m no mathematician but even I can assure you that rules were broken when I ticked the ‘Terms and Conditions’ section when confirming my false age of about 33 before accessing my Facebook profile. Everyone did it because no one wanted to be that one weirdo going into secondary school without a Facebook account.
So why is being online so desirable? I mean why else do kids break the age bracket by lying about their truthful year of birth? Well, the initial idea of being online is exciting. I mean there is literally no other platform that allows you to choose a profile picture, share funny posts and engage in group chats with friends after school. But this is merely the makeup of Facebook. Think of the features on Facebook as the high coverage foundation covering up the scars and cracks hidden on a site able to save information and build your digital footprint as well as selling this same data to external companies. I mean??? To consider kids as young as 13 becoming active online is slightly alarming.
Little 10-year-old me was definitely unaware of all the potential dangers awaiting me as soon as I activated my online profile. Younger people are becoming more and more active on social networking sites which makes the issue of ‘stranger danger’ even more prominent. Especially when I was new to social networking, the element of cyber attacks or bullying was only just being uncovered, so in a sense, the awareness we have for the internet now is more educated despite the dangers still being there. But who’s to say the users are any more careful than they were before? There are cases of people being scammed or ‘catfished’ over Facebook or something, but there’s never a bone in your body that thinks that will ever be applicable to you. The dangers of being online are endless, but now it has reached a point where some bad experiences have become entertaining for others intrigued and excited by online horror stories.
4 words.
Catfish the TV show.
The fact that this show has achieved 7 successful seasons in the 7 years it’s been running, outlines the overall crisis that false identities and accounts have and still are destroying real lives. The cases that are investigated by Nev Schulman and Max Joseph are outrageous and most of the time so far fetched you wonder how these people couldn’t recognise the Catfish themselves. However, the manipulation and deception highlighted on the show presents social networking as a vulnerable world for those unaware of the intentions of those wanting to serve you harm. I mean, who’s to say the online friend you made on Facebook is actually who she claims to be. Yes, her picture might look legit and her friends may also seem believable, but nowadays, you can never ben too careful. She could be using her friends image in order to be perceived by others as someone prettier or skinnier or she may even be a he. Imagine a 50 year old man sat in his scabby 1 bedroom flat, who used the image found on google to befriend other young girls, whilst adding a nearby college as her ‘place of education’ in order to easily befriend unsuspecting students from the college who assume acquaintances purely based on their same place of education. It’s probably easier than it sounds.
But still, how many people do you actually know online?
Being accepted as a friend or being followed on social media can create a feeling of acceptance and gratification, but who are we really letting in? Are the pressures of society in being a certain weight or height, making an individual's hatred and discontent towards themselves a toxic driving force towards the increasing rate of falsified representations? The idolisation of more successful people, naturally evokes some sort of admiration and can even lead to a self comparison with someone so vastly different from yourself, we end up wishing ourselves to be something else - longer legs, bigger biceps, rounder lips, you name it, we’ve all thought it. Is the growth in catfishing others with personas deemed more attractive than our own, a progression towards a less unique generation? It’s no secret that the younger generation are all starting to look the same. After all, we are all influenced by the same few models and fashion bloggers who sport a similar appearance, like the small sunglasses perched at the end of their perfect button noses serving no purpose whatsoever other than an extension of the nose.
Not only is Catfishing a betrayal of social networking, but it is also a solid representation in how online communities can violate the privacy of others if the information provided to and by others is false. To address the mishaps of online communities and understanding the weak ties with some followers, it is worth delving into the realms of Instagram - the Queen of all user generated contents. Here, users are able to depict whatever persona they desire, true or false. Most accounts on Instagram post aesthetically pleasing images which are followed by those interested in the fashion it features or the interior design included in the backdrop. The communities created here share common interests despite being unofficial acquaintances with one another. In being so inspired by certain feeds, we often find ourselves trying to replicate influential or successful users so to achieve a similar sort of popularity. But how realistic is this new representation of ourselves? Potentially, this could also be classed as a form of catfishing, as even though you are the same 20 year old female displayed in your photos, the clothes and hair and makeup IS NOT YOU. The interests and persona you have created online is simply a replica of someone else. Is this just another symbolic reference of being a catfish? And are we now catfishing ourselves in becoming something or someone we no longer recognise online?
Younger users are the most likely to befriend strangers due to their naivety of experience in the application. Luckily, Facebook is a bound system which SHOULD make accessing profiles and private information less easy to access (depending on the privacy controls) until a friend request is accepted. The factorship of age and difference in online awareness is important when considering the reasons why users embark on adding others online. I remember my own first hype of Facebook as, when I was 10 and new to the world of online networking, my initial desire was to add as many people as I could in order to gage the most amount of friends. Why? Because I did what every other kid in the world was doing and didn’t want to be the outsider with less than 1,000 friends. In doing so, I dismissed the dangers of accepting a request from someone I didn’t know and instead embraced the extra friend regardless of ‘stranger danger’. In addressing this naivety at such a young age, it has bought annoyance upon my feed in recent years when I am still inundated with people I don't even know. My Facebook timeline was, until recently, filled with strangers status updates I didn’t care about. Now, 10 years later and having unfollowed and defriended those irrelevant strangers and to return my profile to a safe and bounded system, I am more cautious in my privacy settings as well as the information I choose to share. In being older and, I like to think, more wiser towards the dangers of Facebook and those using it as a platform to abuse, my profile is purely used for communication for those I maintain strong ties with. My point is that social networking, despite being intended for bound systemic usage, has the potential to allow strangers into a personal world of expression.
The element of ‘stranger danger’ is prevalent on all day to day social networking sites and has recently developed into an entertainment theme. Not only is false identity the main purpose behind the TV show Catfish, as well as exposing and raising awareness for recognising false identities, but it’s also become a popular genre in the thriller category on Netflix. I would be lying if I denied the entertainment value of these movies and documentaries, as sad as that may be. We live in a world now where traumatic, horrific and impossible events prevail to be the most popular watches amongst the general public. Watching dramas and films created at the expense of others life-changing online experiences merely shock audiences nowadays due to the normality of cases whereby people are tricked into situations others would say ‘well you should have seen it coming’. The shrugging of shoulders when cases of catfishing or identity thefts are reported are becoming more and more acceptable in their regular occurrences and barely now even make the headlines.
Netflix capitalises on cases such as stalking, identity theft and catfishing in order to present, for the film hungry public, an endless binge watching of tragic cases of unsuspecting victims. One of the most recent movies to have been released on Netflix, is psychological thriller ‘Cam which follows a young webcam girl down a pathway of self destruction when her identity is stolen and then replicated by an anonymous user who benefits from her achieved success in her career. This film represents the repercussions of living your life online and over sharing information to a network of followers unknown to you. ‘Cam’ leads you on a journey which sees the obsession with not only being liked online, but also the growing fixation in achieving the largest following in order to reach self-love and acception.
The entertainment world has hugely profited from the mishaps of social media and the victims of others abuse of it. I often wonder the main attraction for creating false profiles online, or even stealing others, as my personal use for social networking is to engage with friends, the real life friends I actually know. The intention for users who create false identities in order to befriend and scam random innocent people, which is usually financially motivated, is honestly one of the most tragic pathways a human being can embark on. Just get a life? It’s not only putting regular people’s privacy in danger, but it also makes being online a concept of which some people do all they can to remain as far away from as possible or take regular breaks from social media altogether. And truthfully, the way in which social networking is spiralling, I don’t blame them.

Chad and the Incel Chapter 4
Rated: M
Fandom: Original Fiction (but inspired by the Virgin vs Chad meme)
Relationship type: Male/Male with a bit of Female/Female (the lesbians are adorable, btw) and unrequited Male/Female (in other words, the guys are bisexual).
Description: Chad is, well, a Chad, or at least he looks like one. He’s got his sights set on the cool nerd Becky and enlists the help of her shy incel ex-friend Noah, offering to help him get the gorgeous girl (Stacy) he desperately wants. Noah is reluctant to help, believing that he will be stuck in inceldom forever, but Chad’s interest in his life gives him hope. When their plans go awry, they start turning their romantic attention towards each other.
Content Warning: Given the subject matter, you can guess that this story has dark themes in it, such as suicide and self-harm (plus the mental health issues that often cause them), sexism, slut-shaming homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. There is also swearing and some mentions of sex but nothing too explicit (hence the M rating as opposed to an Explicit rating).
4th Post: Incels are the real oppressed group
Going to the local library became a regular occurrence for Chad and Noah. They went there every afternoon after Chad’s detention, deciding not to give up on their romantic conquest just yet. Every time they would start off reading books and discussing plans for winning their respective girl’s heart but they inevitably veered off course and began chatting about whatever they felt like.
Noah told Chad more about manga and recommended some. The list of recommendations was initially intimidating in its length, but Chad couldn’t help but stare with a warm heart when Noah talked about something he loved.
It didn’t take Noah long to notice that Chad wasn’t fully listening, so he came up with a new course of action. He collected a pile of manga from the library and read the blurbs aloud to him. The ones Chad looked interested in were put in one pile and the others were put in a different pile. He pushed the interesting manga towards Chad and suggested he pick one to read for the day. The one Chad picked first was entitled, ‘My Girlfriend is a Giant Robot But She’s Also My Therapist’.
Noah beamed at him. ‘I’ve read the light novel for that.’
‘The what now?’
‘You know, light novels. They’re short novels that usually come in series.’ As he went on and on about this particular light novel with a manga adaptation, Chad paid more attention to the boy’s glowing face than what he was actually saying. That last light of concentration was extinguished when he saw a girl walk past him with a smile on her face.
She had frizzy strawberry blonde hair and wore rectangular glasses that perfectly balanced the roundness of her face. In her thin but muscular arms, visible via a singlet top despite the weather, were three thick books she carried easily. Her lips had seductive curves to them, aided by ample use of apricot lipstick and matching lip liner.
After heading to one of the shelves/lockers, she turned her gaze to Noah, who also smiled at her, and dropped her own smile. However, she didn’t frown. In fact, her expression was neutral and free from judgement. Noah did not see it this way.
He looked at the manga in his hands and used those hands to hide the cover. He hung his head and scowled at the lines in the oak desk.
Chad turned his head and saw Noah’s tense shoulders. He leaned towards him and whispered, ‘Go for it.’
Noah’s head jumped up. He looked at him like he’d just suggested he commit genocide. ‘Me? Why me? She’s going to choose you.’
‘I wouldn’t be so sure of that. And if it doesn’t work out, you got some practice before trying to get Stacy.’ Chad felt a twinge of guilt saying this, not knowing if Stacy could possibly like a guy, though that guilt certainly wasn’t enough to stop him from trying to encourage his new friend. ‘Put these books to good use.’
With a sigh, Noah stood up and plodded towards the girl. He stood behind her for a moment, mentally preparing what to say to her. He continued standing there for enough time to make Chad make a shooing gesture.
After a few more seconds the girl noticed someone was behind her and turned around. ‘Hi, do you want to talk to me or something?’ she asked after she gave way to him and he stood still instead of looking at the books. Her voice sounded like someone had converted honey into audio.
Noah’s shoulders leapt up and he began to sweat. Even though she was smiling at him, he thought he could sense the stone-cold judgement in her eyes. She hated him. She was disgusted by him and wanted nothing to do with him. He was but a piece of snot that had stuck to her wrist when she sneezed into it.
He turned around and marched back to the desk. Chad gave him the eyes of someone seeing a kitten in the rain. Noah shoved his books and manga away from him before picking up his headphones from the desk and putting them on, taking a few deep breaths.
Inside Chad’s heart was a bit of pain. That bit was the size of a poppy seed and thus relatively easy to ignore, but it was there. What was bigger was the sudden need to make Noah smile again, though Chad didn’t know how.
He decided to use a weakness of his as a strength. His quick plan relied on the strawberry blonde girl’s reaction being the exact same one as every other girl Chad talked to. If not, well, at least he had someone to distract him from Becky.
He stood up and swaggered, or rather attempted to swagger, towards the girl. When she saw him she bit her lip and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
‘Hey,’ she cooed. ‘I’m Luce. You?’
The plan must have been working as Chad felt sweat drop down his back. ‘I’m, uh, Chad.’
‘Hi, Chad. So what do you like to read?’
‘Me? I’m, uh, not much of a reader.’ Luce raised an eyebrow. ‘I don’t mean I hate it or anything, uh, you see, I’m here with a friend and, well, uh…. Why don’t you teach me what books are good?’ She scrunched her nose. ‘Wow, that sounded a little pervy. Haha. I didn’t mean it that way. I’m sure you’ve spent a lot of time with your nose in a book, right? Oh, not in an insulting way, just, you know, you seem really smart with all those, uh, books.’ Luce swapped eyebrows and took a step backwards.
‘Uh, yeah… It was nice meeting you. Maybe I’ll see you here again.’
As she walked away, Chad said, ‘Yeah, totally. I’ll see you some time in the future.’
His shoulders drooped as he headed back to the desk. Noah hesitated before patting him on the shoulder and smiling.
‘There, there. So how exactly are you a Chad? Did your parents have the wrong kid when they named you?’
‘Hardy har har. Yeah, I suck. So don’t feel too bad.’
Noah crossed his arms. ‘Did you just pretend to be awkward just to make me feel better?’
With a shake of his head, Chad said, ‘I couldn’t be smooth to girls if I tried. That was a case in point.’
‘Sure, sure.’
Knowing nothing would change Noah’s mind, Chad instead decided to change the subject, picking up a manga from the desk with the title, ‘Love ☆ Lace’. It had two men who appeared to be very close to each other, one holding a measuring tape that tied the other’s wrists together. His heart beat a little faster. Just a little bit.
‘So there’s gay manga?’ he asked.
‘Yeah. I haven’t read that one since I don’t read that stuff, but I do know it’s for girls. I just grabbed whatever manga I could find here.’
‘Girls? Seriously? But they’re both guys!’
Noah laughed at Chad’s confused face, ‘I don’t claim to understand the average fujoshi.’ When Chad looked even more confused, Noah explained what little he knew about gay manga for women.
After he was done he said, ‘Anyway, tell me what you think about ‘My Girlfriend is a Giant Robot But She’s Also My Therapist’. It’s one of the best manga of the past few years.’ He spoke quickly and made large gestures as he detailed what made the manga so great, and, once again, Chad partially listened while staring at the boy’s ever-growing grin.
Another day, Chad started hanging out with Noah at school. During lunch they would talk about a range of topics from what movies they liked to what conspiracies seemed the most likely to be true. They both liked and felt nostalgic over the movie ‘Beauty and the Beast’, though Noah thought it was a bit unrealistic.
‘As if a femoid would choose the Beast over Gaston. I mean, look at his muscles! And that Chad jaw. How could any girl resist? At least the French movie understood that.’
Chad rubbed his jaw. When he saw Noah’s smile, he realised why he said that. He didn’t thank him for the reassurance but returned the same facial expression.
As for conspiracy theories, they disagreed over whether feminists had plotted to ruin ugly guys’ dating practices, with Chad not convinced that feminists were that powerful. However, they both had their scepticisms about the official JFK assassination story.
Whenever they talked about a new subject, the ratio between things they had in common and places where they differed was pretty even. Despite the disagreements, Noah’s passion during their conversations was enough for Chad to wake up each morning with his pearly whites showing.
During their discussions, people would regularly pass Chad and wave or high five him, interrupting Noah to talk to Chad for a little bit. When the frequency of this became too much for Noah, he put his headphones and listened to music while waiting to talk to Chad again, often posting to Incels.me on his phone about how ugly men were the social class facing the most discrimination.
Over the next two or so weeks, Noah did this less and less, even joining in on the conversations between Chad and other students on occasion. At one point he stopped bringing his headphones into the classroom altogether. He considered grabbing them again when Chad told him how proud he was of him for talking with others, but upon seeing Chad’s gentle expressions, he decided against it. He couldn’t help but wonder how hunter eyes could at times look like the eyes of a duckling.

Wellesley in STEM: Interview with Roopali Phadke ‘94 (@roopaliphadke)
We recently caught up with Dr. Roopali Phadke, a teacher-scholar in Environmental Studies at Macalester College in St. Paul Minnesota. Her journey started at Wellesley with a major in Political Science and now includes teaching and researching about climate change, politics, and water.
WU: Roopali, thanks for taking time to chat with us! As a Professor of Environmental Studies at Macalester College, what does “environmental studies” mean to you?
RP: Environmental Studies is about seeing problems and solutions from many perspectives. We incorporate the natural, physical and social sciences, and the humanities. It has been the perfect home for me because I can’t imagine limiting my teaching and research to one particular discipline.
WU: What does your current research focus on?
RP: I focus on energy and environmental politics. I am interested in how societies will make the deep decarbonization transition in this next century.
WU: Your research blends environmental science and politics in a very personal and unique way. What attracted you to this participant-centered research?
RP: Shifting to new way of living on earth will be, I believe, principally a sociocultural transition. It won’t happen through some technological, or even economically driven, fix. I am interested in how we live into this reality, and what it will take to make these changes happen. My research is participatory and civically engaged because we must involve those who have the most to lose in thinking about the future.
WU: A big trend in small liberal arts colleges, like Wellesley and Macalester, is research with undergraduate students. You’ve published a number of papers with undergraduate students. How do you bring students into your research program? Any recommendations that you would give to junior faculty starting to build their own research programs?
RP: I’ve had a research lab since I started at Macalester. I recruit students from lots of backgrounds who are interested in participatory research methods. My advice for faculty is that research with students is really about mentoring young scholars. Things take a lot longer and usually involve a few different generations of students, with one group picking up where another leaves off.
WU: Climate science seems to be very trendy now. What current climate science research most excites you?
RP: The Trump administration has politicized climate science in such a way that everyone is talking about. I think that’s a good thing. The challenge is that we understand how the science is influenced by politics, and vice versa. It is dangerous to treat climate science as somehow pure of politics. Rather, we need to know enough to act responsibly.
WU: You majored in Political Science at Wellesley. Where there any courses or professors at Wellesley that had a particular impact on you?
RP: I had three classes with Political Science professors that have stuck with me. When I was a first year, I joined a cluster called “Imagining the Third World” (which seems such a dated expression today). Craig Murphy led our comparative politics course and it set me on a course, including introducing me to the fascinating world of African politics. I also took development politics with Bill Joseph. He brought such caring and authenticity to that class. I still recall students ending our last session that semester with a round of applause marking our appreciation. I remember reading books that made my cry about the state of poverty in Bangladesh. I found my scholarly conscience there. Finally, in my last year, I met Rob Paarlberg. I was committed to working on environment and development issues after an amazing study away experience. I was naive but dogged. He nurtured my interests, including asking me to write project analyses on the side about a World Bank project. We kept in touch for years.
WU: You teach a number of interesting courses at Macalester that span both science and politics. Tell us a bit about your favorite classes.
RP: One of my favorites is called Water and Power. It’s everything water -- culture, politics, engineering and hydrology. Its one of my most interdisciplinary courses. Over the years, students in this course have chronicled media responses to Hurricane Katrina, paddled the Mississippi, studied the politics of Dead Sea restoration, and most recently delved into the Flint crisis.
WU: More generally, how has environmental justice generally informed your classes and your research?
RP: The core of my academic interest in is energy justice. I care about how societies distribute the burdens and benefits of energy development. For example, my new research project is focused on how we will get our country to run on 100 percent renewable energy. This is the goal being pursued by many cities and states under the #Readyfor100 campaign. Achieving this goal means adding thousands of wind turbines, solar fields and electric vehicles to our landscapes. It also means developing new mines worldover to dig up the metals necessary for these applications. How and who will decide which landscapes and communities bear the brunt of this transition when the benefits are global and diffuse?
WU: Your courses are on the cutting edge of the current national and global conversations about climate science and climate change policies. For those of us who can’t enroll in your courses, what recommendations do you have for people to be more informed about climate science? Do you have any suggestions for hands-on activities to assist people’s understanding of climate change and to get more involved with climate action?
RP: I had the privilege of attending the Paris climate summit with students enrolled in a class of climate negotiations in Fall 2015. Since that experience, I’ve been regularly called on to share my knowledge and perspective on climate policy. I’ve spoken to church groups, state legislators, teachers and high school students, and done lots of press interviews. I’m impressed by how many people care about this topic and all its complexity.
I am also fascinated by all the new climate fiction coming out. I encourage everyone to pick up a book and dive into both the dystopic and utopic imaginings of the future. The students in my “Welcome to the Anthoprocene” first year course loved Barbara Kingsolver’s Flight Behavior.
WU: Wellesley Alums seem to be everywhere! Where’s the most unexpected situation where you’ve met a Wellesley alum?
RP: I had the pleasure of accidentally digitally bumping into an alum just this past month. I wrote a piece for CNN.com and found that the editor assigned to me was a fellow Wellesley woman. We had the same academic advisor in college, Rob Paarlberg, and though our experiences were separated by twenty years had a lot in common. It was a serendipity!
WU: Outside of being a cutting-edge researcher and an award-winning educator, what about your life are you most proud of?
RP: Raising three children with both empathy and a sense of adventure to see and understand the world. My work has brought me to far corners of the globe, often with a baby bundled in my arms. The changing climate will be inherited by all of our children and they will be called to act in ways we can only partially even imagine. My husband and I have never given up an opportunity, though sometimes it has been really difficult, to remind our family we live in a bubble of prosperity. Some of our most beautiful and cherished experiences have been in the least likely places.
I try to impart this to my students. And for my female students, I try to model what it means to find some semblance of work and life balance. Climate issues are a long struggle and we need to know how to refresh and recharge every day.

Domestic na Kanojo – 06 – Exalting In Life’s Freedoms
With all the women he’s juggling, Natsuo has barely had any time to work on the novel he’s writing. During a study period, he reads on the roof, and discovers Kiriya-sensei up there smoking. Kiriya is happy to see a student reading literature, and when Natsuo tells him who he’s reading, he tells him he has good taste, then proceeds to…flirt with him? Whatever the case, Natsuo has piqued Kiriya’s interest.
Natsuo also seems to have inadvertently drawn the mild ire of one Tachibana Rui, who reports that Momo loved the yukiudon he made her while pointing out that he never made it for her at home. Natsuo assumes Rui doesn’t know what a jealous face she’s making, but wishes she wouldn’t make it. Rui is also there to ask him a favor—and not a sex favor, this time! She just wants him to accompany her as she checks out clubs. Natsuo’s guy friends tag along, but only to watch the girls playing sports.
Both Rui and Natsuo seem to find a cultural club with promise in the Literature Club, but no one is there to greet them. Natsuo sees a book on the shelf both he and Rui are interested, and so “borrows” it. When he returns to return the book, he hears a tiny voice within the stacks, and spots Kiriya-sensei seemingly kissing a female student.
He tries to flee but his shoe squeeks, and Kiriya introduces the girl, Ashihara Miu (voiced by the very talented Kohara Konomi of Tsuki ga Kirei fame), who explains that she was helping sensei with an eyelash. Considering how earnest Miu turns out to be, I’m mostly able to go along with her explanation. Natsuo is thus caught having “borrowed” a book, and Kiriya blackmails him into joining Miu as the second and only other member of the Literature Club, of which he is the faculty adviser.
Natsuo’s first duty as club member is to help Miu hand out flyers to recruit other members. It takes him until sunset but he manages to distribute all of his share, only to find Miu in the back entrance, having failed to hand out a single flyer. Natsuo reassures that her there are some things some people just can’t do, and it falls upon those who can to do them. Miu is definitely grateful for his kindness.
The next day in club things get a little weird, when Kiriya-sensei, basically reading from his two students’ face that they are romance novel writers with very little if any romantic experience, and suggests that the two gain some by…kissing each other. Yeah, you read that right.
[Slowly raises hand] Um, I’m sorry, but that’s kinda fucked up? Even a suggestion coming from an adult in authority can sound like an order a kid can’t refuse, and indeed, Miu goes along with it, closing her eyes and dutifully awaiting Natsuo’s kiss. He leans in, but ultimately can’t do it when he sees a tear welling in Miu’s eye. It just feels wrong…because it is. Kiriya doesn’t force the issue and moves on, but still…this guy has serious boundary issues, and might need a good arresting.
That night, as Natsuo works on more flyers, Hana gives her two cents about Kiriya (he’s “a bit odd”—no shit, Sherlock!—but performs his faculty duties “flawlessly” and so is given a wide berth). As for Rui, watching Natsuo become so invested in something leads to her deciding to join his little club right there on the spot. (BTW I did enjoy Hana playfully feeding both Natsuo and Rui chocolates to cheer them up).
The next day Natsuo and Miu exchange apologies and move beyond the previous day’s strangeness, not by talking but by exchanging notes in the library, thereby upholding the silence rule. Natsuo does, however, manage to make Miu laugh with his artist’s impression of Kiriya (whom Miu assures him never made her do anything like yesterday before, which again, I hope she’s right).
Miu is glad to hear Natsuo has an “acquaintance” interested in joining, and even more delighted when he shows up with two new members: Rui and Momo (who tagged along because…she felt like it?) Far from threatened by the presence of two cute girls flanking Natsuo, Miu transitions seamlessly into a pleasant chat with Natsuo, which has an particular affect on Rui she can’t yet identify.
One Sunday, Rui just needs to get out of the house, and ends up at the cafe, the teenage equivalent of going day-drinking, asks her barista why she’s felt so “off” lately, before proceeding to recite the textbook definition of falling in love. Since Rui’s never done so, she worries there’s something wrong with her, but the owner (a former yakuza who fell for a rival lieutenant at first sight) assures her it’s perfectly normal.
He doesn’t go so far as to tell her she’s feeling what he felt, but encourages her to listen to her heart and follow where it leads. So yup, despite being the person to sleep with Natsuo and then drop him like a hot potato, there’s a lot to indicate Rui has real feelings for him.
That’s probably bad news for Rui, as she was so clear so often that the sex they had was without feeling and only to gain experience, Natsuo may be infatuated with Rui the least of the now four women in his circle.
Before and after sleeping with Rui, he loved Hana, after all, and he’s probably not 100% over her. With Shuu out of the picture, now Hana seems interested in spending time with Natsuo (and only Natsuo) but whether she has any romantic intentions or simply wants a good relationship with her stepbrother, we shall see.
I assume Natsuo sees Momo more as someone he needs to look after (and out for) lest she descend into her worst impulses—which we learn cause her to drop in class rankings, as she’s as voracious a studier when she doesn’t have a man as a slacker when she does.
Finally, there’s the newcomer Miu, who actually looks like the healthiest, best fit for Natsuo (it doesn’t hurt that she’s adorable as all get-out). They share a passion for reading and writing, have great chemistry right out of the gate, and most importantly, she’s not family! Natsuo certainly has no shortage of choice when it comes to women. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to being pushed and pulled by all their opposing interests.
