Drey and lab partner Nile were given a tough assignment in chemistry class of there sophomore year in college. Drey was a hard working student that always got straight As, while Nile was one who slacked when it came to assignments. The professor wanted to help Nile become a better student, so he partnered him up with the smartest student in the class, hoping some of those good habits would rub off on him.

When the assignment was complete and graded, both Drey and Nile were given an A for the assignment. The professor asked Drey if Nile really did pull his weight on the project, and he told him yes. What the professor didn't know was that Drey was forced to say yes by Nile.

Once they were partnered together, Drey started noticing Nile's feet. When Nile noticed that Drey was looking at his feet often, he figured that he had a foot fetish. He decided to use this fact to his advantage. He offered his feet to Drey to do whatever he wanted to do with them.

Drey would have feet worship sessions in Nile's dorm room when his roommate wasn't present. Nile would even let Drey lay under his desk as a footrest while he gamed on his computer, sometimes for hours sniffing his feet. But when it came time to work on the project, he told Drey to do all the work and they both would take credit. A day before presenting the project, Drey had threated to tell the professor he had done all the work and Nile did none. Nile then showed a ton of pictures and some videos of the foot worship sessions. He then threatened Drey that if he didn't say they both worked on it together, he would show the pictures and videos to his roommate first and then to a lot of other students. Not wanting his foot fetish to be well known, he relented to Nile's demand.

Three days after getting the A, Drey had a change of heart on his decision to remain silent. He texts Nile that he was going to tell the professor the truth, it didn't matter if he was exposed. Nile texted back that he was sorry for blackmailing him and that it was wrong for him to do that. He also told him that he will tell the professor the truth. If he wanted one more foot fetish session, to come over to his dorm room. Drey believed him and went.

Nile let Drey into his dorm room and shut the door. Drey got down on the floor and started kissing Nile's feet like he usually does in their sessions. He didn't notice what he was doing up above him. He looked up briefly to see a strange ray device pointed at him. "I got you here so that my secret would be safe. You won't be ratting on me if you are under my feet for a very long time." Nile spoke to Drey and fired at him.

Drey saw his whole view change as his body shrunk in size and started to turn white. He tried to speak, but his mouth was sealed shut. Everything happened so fast within seconds. One minute later, Drey was gone, and in his place was a pair of white flip-flops.

Nile laughed as slide his feet into his new flip-flops. "Now my secret is safe and I have a new pair of flip-flops to add to my collection. He laughed more. He placed his phone on the floor to snap a picture of him and his new flip-flops. He then posted on his social media page. He added caption beneath the picture, 'Thanks for my new flip-flops, Drey. I think I will keep them for a very long time.'

Drey was mortified mentally as Nile's feet crushed his face. He could feel Nile's feet started to mold his face to service his new owner's feet. He had no means to call for help and lack the ability to move on his own to escape. His fate was sealed. He was Nile's flip-flops forever. Had he left things alone, he would not have been where he was now. He could only partially blame himself for all the pain that Nile's feet was going to cause him for the rest of his life.

Honestly, standing beneath the podium without your boyfriend was something you missed. Usually, you would be standing beside Jak as you both cheered on your friends, but today, you stood with just your friends as Jak was up on the podium. This was what you missed.

Looking up at Jak as his national anthem played brought the biggest smile to your face. You knew there was a chance for the race win, but it was just surreal having it come to fruition. It’s been a difficult year so far for Dams, but you never gave up hope. Plus, Jak loved this track. You knew too never bet against Jak in times like this.

You cheered the loudest of the crowd when the American national anthem ended, and Jak looked out to the crowd. It didn’t take long for his eyes to fall on you as you stood in the same general area every time. He smiled and spaced out, looking down at you and his friends, until he was handed the trophy. He lifted it above his head before pointing in your general direction. You blew him a kiss and he got lost in your gaze again.  

Jak chuckled sheepishly as JM patted him on the back as he picked up their champagnes. He didn’t even remember JM or Franco getting their trophies or hearing the announcement to start the celebrations.

You laughed at his surprised face when he got sprayed in the face by Franco. It didn’t take him too long to be snapped back into the moment as he grabbed his champagne, swirled it around, and smacked it on the ground before spraying it at JM.

After draining their champagnes, they stood on the top step together for the photo-op they were always subjected to.  You pulled out your phone to get your own pictures before running over to the staircase they would walk down in a few minutes. You knew you would only have a few minutes with him before he had his post-race panel and debrief, so you wanted to make the most of the time you had.

As expected, it didn’t take long for them to come down, Jak running and almost falling down the last steps, straight into your arms. You wrapped your arms tightly around him as one of your hands moved up to run through his soaked hair. It was a little difficult, but it was part of the post-race ritual.

“You did it, baby,” You praised, not pulling away in the slightest. Jak tightened his hold on you if that was possible. “I’m so proud of you. I knew you could do it.”

“I couldn’t have done it without you,” Jak replied quietly as he leaned into your neck. “I always try to make you proud.”

“You’ll always make me proud, Jackie Moon,” You comforted as you pulled back a little and used your hands to pull his face out of your neck. You leaned forward, making him look in your eyes, “I am always so unbelievably proud of you Jak. You are doing your dream and you’re doing it well. I don’t think I could be any more proud of you.”

“God, what did I do to deserve you?” Jak teased as he leaned in to place a small kiss on your lips. 

“Hey, give yourself some credit here,” You said once you two pulled away. “I could never be in Formula 2.”

“You don’t even like driving a normal car,” Jak laughed as he turned to just have an arm wrapped around your shoulder as you two walked toward the Dams hospitality. He gently took his first-place Pirrelli hat off and placed it on your head. You laughed as it covered your eyes before adjusting it and looking over at Jak.

“Well that, but I also need power steering, so props to you.”

Creepypasta: Ted the Caver (2001)

There was a season of Are You Scared? that presented some actual famous creepypasta (pasta? pastas?), and I was so giddy about it. I love creepypasta and Weird Internet Fiction, and I recognized all the famous ones right off the bat; the moment there was a season preview and a cave was mentioned, I KNEW. So the episode with "Ted the Caver" instantly became one of my favorites ("GET IN THE FUCKING CAVE, TEDDY!!"). But it also kills me that the show presents the final installment as if it's the whole story: just one spooked, caveless guy wandering around meebling about his spelunking obsession. Buddy, there is SO MUCH caving in the full version, you don't even know. There is NONE MORE CAVING:

But I get it: there's no way to read the entire story aloud for a half-hour show. It was originally published as an unassuming hobbyist blog in 2001, and "Ted the Caver" is partly so effective because it is genuinely just an amateur caving blog for about 10,000 words. My understanding is that the author really is a caving enthusiast—I mean, he'd have to be, because the story is filled with actual photos of him and a friend chipping their way through a hole the size of a baseball into a cave they dub "Floyd's Tomb." So this was a real expedition... that the author wrote a delightful little spoop around.

Honestly, the real horror for me isn't even the Descent-style Something that seems to be living down there; it's the genuine terror of these fools squeezing themselves through eight-inch openings into the bowels of the earth, God bless. You can tell the mundane aspects are absolutely true to life, because the squeezing and the scraping and the panic—I'll just stop there, in case anyone has any phobias, claustro or otherwise. If I didn't before, I do now.

But it also has to be noted, "real horror" is what "Ted the Caver" is all about: the horror of a story backed up by reams of accurate detail and told through a really, really basic-ass Angelfire website. (I say this lovingly, as someone who had a shitty Geocities site herself.) It truly looks like it's just someone's blog—because that's mostly what it really is. Who wrote it? Well, an actual guy named Ted:

Well, I guess it’s time I add my two cents to the topic. My name is Ted and I am the author of the story you have been discussing. I am the original author. I created the story on my own and copied no one

...he wrote, in response to a plagiarism accusation (turns out the other guy copied him, and closely at that).

Between December 30, 1999 and February 24, 2000 Brad and I worked on a passage in Freeway cave. We made numerous trips, and spent many hours of hard work, before we were finally able to get through the opening and into the new section of cave. During the course of our adventure I kept a caving journal and documented our activities surrounding our attempts to be the first people to enter the new passage. Since we were giving friends and family members updates as we worked, I thought it would be a good idea to put my entire journal on a web page, along with our pictures, then we could simply refer people to the site. The thought then occurred to me: It sure would be fun to embellish the story a little!

Ted hasn't given his full name, but he is an actual Ted, it seems. And honestly, as much as I would like him to be credited as openly as Eric Heisserer is for "The Dionaea House," it really works in the story's favor that it's so difficult to figure out who wrote it. Not to spoil you, but the story told by the blog, much to Shane and Ryan's frustration in the video above, ends in a single puff of irony:

Magnificent. Because, let's face it: if a cave monster really did eat trap and eat your friend, isn't this what it would look like? No silly explanation for how a video camera somehow made it back to his friends and family from, like, the center of the fucking earth through a hole the size of a cantaloupe. No, your man there is just gone. And he's given enough detail in previous entries for you to imagine that what he finally came face to face with down there is Not Good. That's enough.

Outfits that give your sims the appearance of merfolk, for ages toddlers to elders. Recommended for use alongside @midgethetree's Mermaid mod (further mods for merfolks by Midge here). Note however that these outfits are enabled not just for swimwear but for all clothing categories, to accomodate simmers who play a fully underwater neighborhood (inspo). If you want to change the categorization of clothing in bulk, I can recommend the Outfit Organizer or the BSOK editor.

This is actually the first part of a three-part set that will also include conversions of these outfits for custom body shapes. Edit: part 2 - part 3.

The meshes

Apart from the EM mesh which is new, all meshes are slightly edited versions of the meshes from Marvine's Merfolk project, or @jellymeduza's versions of those meshes when applicable (bottom of this post). Children to elders have fat morphs, teens and adults additionally have preg morphs.

All of them had a visible neck seam which I fixed. Example on AF:

(Note that I made this edit only after taking the UF swatches below.)

I also modified the fat morphs on the CU and AM meshes (they were 100% Maxis-match, I made them a bit smoother and, well, less weird, hopefully).

Polycounts are very low, ranging from 1,404 for PU to 1,934 for UF.

The recolors

All recolors have sortindex numbers that ensure that they will appear neatly arranged set by set in your CAS catalogue, after all of your other CC clothing (right before the Maxis stuff).

All are enabled for all clothing categories including maternity.

Shoe sounds are set to none.

The textures, though I made edits to most of them, were taken from other creators credited below.

TF & AF use the same textures: the TF recolors can be either standalone or repo'd to AF. TM & AM & EM use the same textures: the TM and EM recolors can be either standalone or repo'd to AM. CU and PU have their own respective textures.

Marie Fay

Textures edited from Marie Fay's beautiful The Little Mermaid set. I erased the portion of semi-sheer texture that went up the back as it didn't look great on deep skintones. Compared to the original recolor files, unnecessary bump maps have been removed (the TM recolors don't appear weirdly mislit and are now useable) + shoe sounds have been set to none + sortindex numbers have been changed.

Simsllama Kosmiks

Textures edited from @simsllama's Kosmik recolors. Same as above, I cleaned up the back (you can see how it was before clean-up on the fifth picture I shared here), removed unnecesary bump maps, fixed the shoe sounds and edited the sortindex numbers. Also adapted for toddlers.

Textures edited from @midgethetree's mermaid tails. I reduced the exposure on the F bra, replaced the F bottom textures with the M textures, smoothed the waist seams (there was a white cast that looked weird on deep skintones), fixed the texture bleeding onto the fingers, adapted for EF by replacing the AF bra with the Marie Fay EF bra that Simsllama also used above, adapted for toddlers. The grey recolor is now available for all ages.

Author's note: I'm not truthfully back yet but I thought why not I'll try something new. <3

Also please be kind and equally respectful as this is my first time experimenting with the social media AU.

*Although I do have to admit, IG isn't one of my favorite platforms due to the highest amount of comparison as well as the concerns surrounding people on how they did suffered from the scary spiral they did have to went through from the way they did had compared themselves to others and yet feeling as if they aren't feeling truthfully 'good enough' type of syndrome. (Scary; but let's just imagine in an alternative universe for real--let's just imagine IG is all about photography; poetry, art and so on and so forth on what it used to be originally before the extreme changes of IG)

I found my radio station's collection of old Elvis Costello and the Attractions records and I'm going to share pictures of them because there's so many cool details

First up, Goodbye Cruel World

The radio station uses these stickers to highlight recommend songs, but the DJs love to put in funny little comments as well. Usually these stickers are written on right when the album came out, so they provide a snapshot into what contemporary listeners though of the records. Apparently the DJs of the time liked Goodbye Cruel World, but what does (Don't Ya Wish He Really Meant It?) mean?

Having only seen this album cover at really low resolutions on streaming, I was surprised to discover who those indistinct figures were

Really interesting radio promo copy of Spike featuring an hour-long interview, I have to check if it's been uploaded online before. It also promises "This Town (The Bastard Mix)", which might be the censored version of This Town where "bastard" was replaced with "sweetheart" that I was looking for online but couldn't find. Or maybe it's the other way around?

Recommend songs off Punch the Clock. I'm surprised because none of these are what I would consider the "big hits" of the album.

Probably my favorite detail out of everything is the title of "The Invisible Man" being written to look like it's becoming invisible (It's not just faded like Boxing Day above it).

These weird radio promo vinyls are the ones I'm most excited about because they so rarely see the light of day after their release...I just realized since Paul McCartney was involved with this one I can play it on the Beatles show!

Get Happy!! without the iconic worn-out ring on the cover? I guess the vinyl can just get worn out on it's own...I believe the 7/25/83 might be the date the vinyl was acquired, or perhaps the date it was supposed to be deemed "old" and thrown out (can you imagine?)

The song order of side one and side two is reversed from how the album is presented in streaming. Is this an error, or have I been listening to it in the wrong order this whole time??? Also the song is apparently supposed to be called "5ive Gears in Reverse".

Really cute letter from Nick Lowe promising that the audio quality has not been compromised for the length of the album. It's so fascinating to learn about these types of technical limitations that no longer exist. Like if it released today it would just go to streaming and then probably get a double vinyl release to wring more money out of collectors.

The American "paint-splatter" Armed Forces album cover features the Elephant cover on the back. I already knew this but it was still cool to see.

This Years Model! This record features one of the alternate cover photos (probably my favorite one), and it is a genuine demo record complete with a label from Columbia.

They put the runtimes and little recommendation check boxes for the sake of the DJs, but it looks like every song got checked and stared multiple times (except for Little Triggers :/)

Glowing reviews...it's so exciting to imagine being a young DJ in 1978 hearing This Years Model for the first time and correctly calling it a masterpiece.

Happy Witchcore Samantha Wednesday!

For those of you who are new here, this orginally stemmed from my obsession with Sam Winchester and Sastiel in the Supernatural fandom, and in an attempt to provide Sam a better life, I created an AU with a transgender MtF witchcore Samantha, a genderfluid cottagecore beekeeper/gardener Castiel, and non-binary toddler Jack Kline.

Today's moodboard is all about Imbolc! Imbolc is a traditional gaelic fire festival that marks the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. Also called St. Brigid's Day, this celebration occurs on Febuary 1st-2nd and focuses on honoring Brigid, the patroness of Ireland in both pagan and christian beliefs. In Wiccan culture, the goddess Brigid and the rituals surrounding Imbolc are vastly complex and intricately beautiful. I suggest looking up more information online if you're interested. I've included some simple ways to celebrate your own Imbolc above! Have a fun and blessed feast!

You wanted answers to these questions. Let me preface this with: many of these things we do not know. And we may never know. These are just my explanations to the questions that you have been demanding of me. Since we don't know a lot of the actual details behind these questions, my answers are neither right nor wrong, just my reasoning on these things we don't have the full picture on. Your own answers to these questions are neither right nor wrong as well, keep in mind.

What specifically is it that Jess does for Ice Studios? You have yet to give an answer on this other than "She owns it" while also neglecting to clarify that she actually only owns half of it (don't know why you do that) but if that's going to be your answer can you explain what she does? And if you do not have an explanation why do you think it's okay that she owns half of it, takes credit for all of the work Renell does, and fraudulently tags things for production/post-production when she didn't do either of these things (and more than likely 90% of the time Ice Studios didn't either)? - What she does EXACTLY? No, we don't know. But, my thought is this: Think of an investor. They have stake in a company, they have say on executive decisions, they technically are a partner, but they don't have a part of the day-to-day because they're above that. They also still have motivation to promote it and share because they have stake in the business succeeding. I personally don't see her as stealing credit. It's partly her business, isn't it? She has the right to share things that her business creates to promote the work. She also has been called the "top boss" by clients of Ice Studios within the last year. It's clear whatever her role is, it's a one that oversees things.

Why do none of these huge brands or celebrities follow Jess? -Not really relevant honestly? But if she's not working with the brands/celebrities directly and communicating with them, because she's more of a removed partner of the company, why would they be inclined to?

Why do none of these huge brands or celebrities ever like Jess's posts? -See above + it's possible they don't see her tag because they're not mutuals. If the intern/social media manager running these brands' pages and celebrities don't know her personally through working with Ice Studios because she wasn't there to meet them, she's just another instagram user to them.

Why do none of these huge brands or celebrities ever comment on Jess's posts? -See above. Also not very relevant. Lots of brands don't comment.

Why is Jess never seen in a studio or on a set working to help produce these photos or images? -All my previous answers. That just seems to not be part of whatever her role is. But, she may have say behind the scenes and in the technical matters of booking those shoots/projects, payroll, royalties, etc.

Why doesn't Jess attend parties/award shows/fashion shows even though she's allegedly part of this industry so that's part of what her job is? -She...has...? She's attended YSL and fashion week events with Jamie, who is also involved in the fashion industry.

If you're going to cite that Jess is a celebrity or talent manager, what talent or celebrities does she currently represent, and show me proof of that. If proof is just her saying she represents certain people then I can just say that I represent whoever I want and you have to take that as proof, yeah? -I don't think she is a current talent manager actually. The website hasn't been updated for years and I think that's because she just is not currently managing people. Maybe except Renell. But again, I don't think she's doing that right now.

Why did Jess take no part in Ice Studios' sample sale? -Why did she need to? But also there are literally hundreds of reasons she didn't go, ranging from she was sick to it wasn't even her idea. Maybe Renell wanted to do it and felt she could handle it herself. Jess lives in LA, Renell lives in NY where they had the sale...so...if one boss can be there, does the other have to?

Why didn't Jess promote the Ice Studios sample sale? -Again, she could have had very little to do with it in general besides just giving the thumbs up to having it.

Why has Jess been erased as the main contact from the Ice Studios website? -First of all the website is an eyesore as it is, not a fan. It's absolutely not user friendly and an interface nightmare. But, in terms of at least the email changing from jess@icestudios.co to info, that could be a simple case of having a designated customer service/PR person hired instead of Jess having to handle incoming requests.

Why has the shop website been closed and not updated since last year? -Very well could be being redesigned, or they're going to release a new collection that is still being worked on. Lots of other possible, endless reasons it's still down. I've worked in online retail, building a new website and/or releasing new collections is a pain in the ass.

Why didn't Jess attend Complexcon despite allegedly being such a big part of it? -Who knows...who cares? She could have executed a lot of configuration and organizing of things, but sent others to actually work the event. It's literally not a big deal.

Why didn't Jess start promoting these things until extremely recently when she was called out for not promoting them? -Where, in a large enough sphere, was she called out for that? She's shared Ice Studios endeavors since at least 2021.

Why don't people like Joseph Quinn follow her on Instagram? -Why is this relevant to anything? Joseph Quinn doesn't even handle a lot of his own instagram posts, anyway. He has said that his friend often does it for him.

Why hasn't Jamie interacted with her most recent comments? -Because he didn't feel the need to, idk? It doesn't have to be that deep. Whether they’re together or not, communication over phone one-on-one still exists.

Why hasn't Jamie interacted with her most recent posts? -We don't know what his feed looks like and if those posts come up immediately, how often he even opens the app right now. Many benign reasons. Again he might not feel the need to.

Why isn't she currently traveling with Jamie to do anything? -We don't know, do you? She spent most of 2023 traveling with him, maybe she's taking a break, maybe she is working on something that she can't share yet. That would also account for the diminished posting on her account of anything but Ice Studios stuff that Renell seems to handle. Again, we don’t know.

Why hasn't she traveled with Jamie to do anything a year or so now, if not longer? -See above answer.

What does she and Grace following each other on social have anything to do with any of these questions? -Same question about your question about Joseph. Not sure why that's relevant if Grace's, also a friend and common coworker of Jamie's, mutual status with Jess isn't.

Why haven't there been any updates or photos from the two of them mutually in months when they used to do stories/updates all that time? Oh right because Jess is "private" and Jamie is "busy". -There have always been lulls in both of their social media activity of selfies and such. It's not weird or unheard of. Jamie is filming and traveling without her, so they probably haven't done anything interesting and worth posting together for a bit. It's not that deep. And I mean...yeah, Jamie has been filming and doing cons solo recently, so they’re not attending events or going on vacation together.

What happened to Jess' family? She used to post photos of/with them all the time and now she doesn't anymore her brother doesn't even follow her? -She literally lives across an ocean from them and has for years. Just about as long as she stopped posting pics of them all the time. We also don't know the dynamics of her family and their current relationships. Again though, one-on-one phone conversations are still possible. Not everything has to happen on social media.

Where are all of her friends that she used to have? -Why is this relevant also?

When was the last time she was seen with Renell or Quil or any of these people she claims are clients/friends/business partners? -They both live in NY, while she lives in LA. She hasn't been to NY in a while. Two people have to be in the same place to be seen with each other.

Why does she recycle old posts as if they are new posts? -A lot of people and brands do this honestly. Why is this important?

Why does she only repost Renell's photos now and nothing else? -Because Renell photographs a lot of Ice Studios projects and it also her business partner.

Why does a "private person" post personal photos of her everyday life (when it suits her) and also allow dozens of fans to tag her in said personal content over and over so everyone can see she's with Jamie? -"When it suits her" answers your question. It's her instagram. She can post whatever she likes, whenever she likes. This also contradicts your prior question. If she only reposts Renell's photos currently, then she's not posting personal photos of her everyday life.

Why did Jess previously take selfies with Jamie's fans? -Because they literally asked her to. She didn’t ask to take pictures with fans. Wouldn't it be weird if an excited Jamie fan came up and asked for a photo and she said "no, I'm not famous enough"?

What business did Jess ever have interacting with his fandom to the level that she has interacted with them? -She hasn't though, really? Most of the time fans are the ones to approach her to talk and take pictures, and she obliges. She's not trying to be friends with Jamie fans online or besties with people.

Why are you okay with her taking credit for things she clearly hasn't done or been a part of? -"Clearly" is debatable. In terms of Renell's posts, again, she owns at least part of Ice Studios. It makes sense she would share things to promote the brand she owns, even if she wasn't physically there. Otherwise, I'm not sure what else she might be "taking credit for".

Why do you ignore that she's promoted a non-profit organization that has terrible reviews and was involved in a taxpayer scandal? -I haven't ignored it. That does really suck. But me, personally, I do think her heart was in the right place and she was doing something she felt was good. I don't know what to tell you other than that. Non-profits are tricky, a lot of them have shitty people at the helm doing shitty things behind the scenes. Finding a non-problematic one is like a needle in a haystack. I think it's entirely possible she wasn't aware of the scandal, failed on her due diligence, and thought she was doing good.

Why do you ignore that she was involved in a plagiarism scandal when she worked for Vivianne Westwood? -Explain how exactly she was directly involved in the plagiarism of Vivienne Westwood's memoir. The article you reference about it says she was reached out to as a spokesperson for Westwood, her name is mentioned once. We all know she worked for Vivienne Westwood. As a spokesperson, that's all it is. She speaks for the person/brand.

Why did she have so many different high-level jobs that she hopped around from for years and years until finally started her own business? -I don't even know what you mean by this? People job hop all the time at all levels.

Why do you ignore the moral and ethical implications of her intent to poach clients from Donna Management when she started her own company? -It's a dog eat dog world out there in the industry, idk. That happens all the time. Is it kinda shitty? Yeah, but hey man, it be like that. She’s not the first nor will she be the last.

What is the physical location of Ice Studios where she allegedly has an office? -I’m not sure, that’s not public. Ice Studios in NY is registered to Odis Management in Brooklyn, an accounting firm. My thought is that they rent studio space as they need maybe? Otherwise, the “office” may be Renell’s home for all we know.

Why doesn't she ever go to her office in England for her Management company? -Because I don't think she's actively utilizing her management company. The LLC filing is still active, and registered to a London address. But I don’t believe she is managing clients at this time. Except maybe Renell?

Why hasn't her management website been updated since 2019? -See above. I don't think she's acting as a manager for talent outside of Ice Studios right now.

If Jess is this important high-powered businesswoman why is her history scrubbed from the internet prior to being with Jamie? -I don't think she's an important high-powered businesswoman like you seem to really want me to think she is. I actually don't think she's even important enough to have had a big enough prior presence, honestly.

Why would she need to scrub as much of her internet history as possible before getting with Jamie? -Again, I just don't think she made enough of an impact on anything to be all over the internet. Holding jobs in the entertainment/fashion industry doesn't mean they're gonna be easily google-able.

but the numbers are code for a series of letters (the alphabet where every 10 letters is assigned to the numbers 0-9) it spells “caught the moon” which is a reference to regulus and sirius’ memory of sneaking out to go capture the moon

and the qr code is a real qr code that leads you to the first chapter of tthtd!

i had a bit of trouble trying to balance out the kindergarten-y aspect with the actual plot and love story but i'm pretty happy with how it turned out anyway

if you haven’t read teach them how to dream yet PLEASE do, making this cover and going back through all my favorite parts of the story was such a joy and i really hope you appreciate it! i could only include so many references on this cover, there's so much more in the story.

Honestly, just look at the quality. You simply couldn't get this kind of exposure in early photography. This looks totally digital - there's even a background blur.

It would also help to know that there is only one confirmed picture of Vincent van Gogh:

This is him, aged 19. As per the van Gogh museum article linked above, there was one other picture which was thought to be Vincent at 13, but was later identified as a 15-year-old Theo van Gogh. And you may have seen the following picture identified as Vincent van Gogh in 1886:

However, that's impossible. The address of this photo parlour is Canadian, and the photo itself was discovered in Massachusetts, USA, in the 1990's. Van Gogh never stepped foot in Canada, and there's no reason to believe he ever left Europe at all. The guy in this picture just really looks like him.

What's very interesting to note here is that, much like (what we are calling) AI nowadays, photography was still relatively new technology in the late 1800's - and Vincent van Gogh himself expressed diverse opinions on it.

In this 1882 letter to Theo, he equates a photographic quality to "something mechanical" (eleventh paragraph), and in 1884, in reference to reproducing art via photography, he laments that "the photographer only produces prints that reflect none, or at least far too little of the original chiaroscuro, moreover retouches a great deal and badly, and even so still often leaves things dark that are light in the painting and vice versa."

In 1885, he writes, "there’s a chance of getting work, that is to see about being employed by the photographers, which I wouldn’t want in the long run, but would do if needs must. The photographers seem to have plenty to do here. One also sees painted portraits in their shops, which they apparently work up on a background obtained by photography, which obviously has a weak, feeble effect to anyone who knows what painting is."

October 8th, 1888: "That’s to say, I’m doing a portrait of our mother for myself. I can’t look at the colourless photograph, and I’m trying to do one with harmonious colour, as I see her in my memory."

October 10th, 1888: "I’m working on a portrait of our mother because the black photograph was making me too impatient. Ah, what portraits we could make from life with photography and painting! I always have hopes that a great revolution still awaits us in portraiture. I’m writing home to have our father’s portrait too. Myself, I don’t want black photographs, and yet I still want to have a portrait."

In a letter to his sister Willemien, 1889: "I myself still find photographs frightful and don’t like to have any, especially not of people whom I know and love. These portraits, first, are faded more quickly than we ourselves, while the painted portrait remains for many generations. Besides, a painted portrait is a thing of feeling made with love or respect for the being represented. What remains to us of the old Dutchmen? The portraits."

Vincent was known to dislike photography as a substitute for portraiture and avidly avoided having his own photo taken. From the letters, it's clear that he was disappointed at the perceived quality and the lack of colour of the photographs of the time - anyone who's ever seen a van Gogh can easily imagine how frustrating the latter, in particular, must have been.

What's interesting to note is that his opinion on using photography and painting, in conjunction, shifted over the years. While in 1885 he derides the painted-over pictures of Antwerp photographers, in the excerpts from October 1888, the prospect of utilizing both photography and painting is exciting and possibly revolutionary to him - despite still regarding the "black photos" themselves as lifeless and worthy of contempt.

Perhaps those Belgian photographers really were subpar painters; perhaps he just needed some time to think it over.

Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic. Sarcasm and fun banter. Not necessarily the entirety of the fic, but a portion of it. It's why I love writing Yami B./TKB in a lot of my stuff. To me, he is the embodiment of both. That's also why he's a the primary in my crackfic series.

7. Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

This is a hard one. I have several I'm proud of. I guess if I had to pick one snippet, it would be the beginning of Chapter 43 from my longfic. Quick context: Atem and OC (Daughter of Anubis/flame elemental) were once married. Atem has had multiple hosts throughout the millennia (though the memory loss only happened after last host before Yugi). He is recently revived and they are spending a day in modern Rome.

Before Atem could react to his former wife quickly taking his arm in hers again, the two were engulfed in a vortex of fire. His body reacted instinctively, trying to shield itself from the quick burst of heat that surrounded the two of them. Just as quickly as the blaze had appeared, it vanished, but the scenery had changed.

It took him a long second to recognize the remains of the ancient architecture. The last time he had seen the Colosseum, it was fully intact, covered in floral arrangements with a brightly colored velarium angled down around the outer edge to keep the sun off the spectators below. Now it looked like any other ancient landmark in this era, the obvious effects of time showing. The wooden floor had long since rotted away, exposing the network of tunnels that ran below. Scaffolding and railings had been put in place for the safety of the vast number of visitors the landmark received daily. When Bakura and Kat had spoken repeatedly of visiting Rome, Atem had pictured something else entirely. He had pictured flowing chiffon and bright colors, along with the heavy scent of flowers and perfumes in the air. Where were all the gold decorations? Floral arrangements hanging everywhere? Where were all the people that scurried about preparing for the day's events?

Right now none of that was present. Right now, he was being forcefully reminded that the world had changed in his absence.

Okay, I have to give some credit to my amazing (evil) sister, who has actually been to Rome and demanded more detail. This is still one of the parts of my story I love coming back to re-read, because I'm always blown away that I wrote it, even if I did have some help. Even though it's only Rome, you can still get the sense of Atem being out of place in time, and having to adjust to the shock of it. I imagine if he'd had his memories in tact when the group went to Egypt during MW, he might have had a similar reaction.

12. Is there an episode above all others that inspires you just a little bit more?

Episode? Not really. Now movie, that's a whole different story. Pyramid of Light kind of inspired my longfic. Even though the Anubis in the movie wasn't the Anubis, it got me wondering how things would be if the ancient Gods that were often viewed in a positive light, were actually a bunch of assholes with superiority complexes. Cue OC rewrite and insert into my current insanity.

15. If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?

I 'see' the entirety of my longfic as it's own anime when I write it. I would obviously go back and rewrite/fine-tune it (I pantsed nearly 30 chapters *facepalm*).

Every method works, you simply have to remember to assume that you already have your desires and stick to that fact (that what you want to manifest is true/that you already have your desires because you do). Why must you make it hard for yourself and choose to do something that irritates you?

But also… don’t overcomplicate it, just because you imagined being in a zombie apocalypse doesn’t mean it’ll manifest when you didn’t want it to. You’re in charge, only what you allow to happen will the only things that will be happening. (Also if you have aphantasia, you don’t have to visualize. Assume!!!)

You’re not doing anything. Yes, manifestation requires 0 effort, but if you’re not changing your assumptions and continuing to accept negative/undesired assumptions as true then what will happen? Exactly, the same 💩 you don’t want to happen will continue to reflect in your reality. Consciously thinking/assuming positively or in the way that you want to happen will make all the difference. For example, you’re just sitting down on your bed doing nothing and wondering what your dinner will be? Okay well then assume you’ll have your favorite food. You’re doubting if you passed your exams because you didn’t review that much? Okay well then assume it’ll be 100% fine anyway and that your scores aren’t based on how long you studied or understood anyway lol (its logical for manifesting to be illogical) in fact, you’ll get the highest score & pass. Again, assuming positively for “little” things such as this will make all the difference. Not only will you see how powerful you are and that the law really works, but everyday life will be so much better, you’ll feel so much better.

I didn’t expect this to be long asf 😶 but hmm oh well..

You think you’re better than everyone in the sense that you’re drawn to do this, to use the law of assumption to consciously manifest but you don’t. You feel like this is merely an excuse for people who are lazy to (“maybe, in a slim chance” you think) get whatever benefits people who work hard, who shed their blood 🩸, sweat 😓, and tears 💦, without doing anything. Well guess what? Do you know that notion of “all you have to do is change your mindset” or “if you put your mind into it, you can achieve anything” is true, and deep down you know it. Yes, it is still very much possible regardless of your mental health or however way you think to practically accomplish whatever task you need to do… but at the same time you still know it affects your actions quite a bit don’t you? You believe it. Specifically in terms of people with low self esteem, it is already proof to you.

Again, not that people can’t achieve their goals or dreams without consciously manifesting, but you know what? This is your reality and you are the one in charge. Because it is YOU who are in charge, you can put however much effort you would like in the real world to achieve your desires, you can fail however times you would like to, you can do step 1, 2, 3.. but this time, even your wildest dreams and the most illogical things can and will (if you choose to) come true. (Things where you have to be “in the right place at the right time with the right people” can very much happen, again if you choose and assume to.)

🎶 positions by Ariana Grande || I feel like if I keep on talking you’ll keep on finding ways to twist this around and end up with an assumption or conclusion that wouldn’t be in your favour (its okay, that’s normal, that happens) so I will try to end the reading here. It is logical for manifestation to be illogical, because this is the case, you can make your reality still have logical elements (which then contributes to the specific circumstances of which you would like to achieve something. ex: You worked hard on improving your skills in a singing contest but you almost didn’t make it to the venue for the contest. With you assuming that everything will be fine despite things seeming to not work out before you get there, another contestant lives by your neighborhood which also turns out to be a good friend of your mother. You’re over-consuming information. All you have to know is that your assumptions dictate your reality and to persist in your assumptions. (Expanding on this…) Imagination is reality, the 3D/physical reality reflects your imagination. You decide what you want to be true or not (if you’re concerned about accidentally manifesting negative stuff).

So then you can easily assume that things you don’t want to manifest won’t manifest and that’s what will exactly happen. If you still can’t help it, rather than thinking of the what ifs in the negative sense.. think of what if it all works out in the end? What if it manifests faster than you expected it to? What if you actually already know everything you need to know about manifestation? (you do). Apply what you know, because it’s correct. Ohmygod this is even longer I didn’t realize… once again oh well 🤡

Hmm this is kind of a weird pile but of course just pick a different pile if it doesn’t resonate. You haven’t manifested your dream life yet simply because you haven’t been trying to or wanting to/decided to anyway. Its not that you have to try harder, you simply may just be manifesting specific “smaller” stuff (which is amazing and you can keep on doing it of course. there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that). I’m getting that if you really wanna manifest your dream life (I feel like you already are anyway? I’m getting like if you want a unique flavored gelato right then and there then it’ll pop up in less than a second for you. if you want a new phone you’ll see it the next moment you open your bedroom. if you want more money, you’ll get more money in your bank account and suddenly have someone hand you like a thousand dollars or something LMFAOO what a manifesting queen/king wtf) then use more general affirmations. Like ‘I’m living my dream life’ ‘I have everything I want’ ‘I love my life so much’ or in a specific but “larger” scale… ‘I have my dream job’ ‘I’m happily with my romantic partner’ ‘I have my desired friend group’ (I heard someone might be wanting to manifest a bratz friend group lol. ayee)

I feel like this may be a person (specifically an ex-lover, ex-friend, or even family that you’ve cut off in the past) that you’re wanting to manifest that you know is going to make you happy but you also might think you won’t make them happy. Listen, all these people in the world are real, sentient, have their own emotions, thoughts, opinions, and experiences but this is also your reality (we all have our own reality), and in your reality, because you are the operant power… Free-will doesn’t exist in your reality (so does in anyone else’s realities. In their reality, you and I don’t have free will either. But in yours, you can do anything you want, they can too in their own reality). It doesn’t make any of these people or these experiences not true or anything of that matter.

You’re allowed to take them back, to have them back in your life. Things can be worked out, you’re not violating anyones boundaries or something like that (i mean… just because you can, its still immoral to just k*ll anyone and you shouldn’t do it if that’s what you’re thinking). I feel like you’re already a master at consciously manifesting (everyone already is but you especially got it down like its just breathing at this point 👀), and so start small (for your own sake/sanity ig) maybe manifest getting a text from them or them simply liking a recent post of yours even. You don’t have to manifest having a completely repaired relationship right away, just… allow yourself to give yourself another chance. I really feel like, it will turn out well (for you emotionally, your overall quality/experience in life and theirs too) in the end if you do this 💕 (i mean unless you continue to assume it wont then… ofc lmao). Both parties would be happy to have given this another shot.

Oh and also, this doesn’t have to be a person. It also could be a childhood dream of yours. Maybe you wanted to do gymnastics or dance or whatever but you’re “too old” for it now. Revision (manifesting changing your past with your assumptions) also exists. But if you don’t want to do that, you can also manifest just getting it easily lmao. Alsoooo, even shifting to another reality to experience this again as a child (this activity of yours) can also happen, depending on your situation, you can also very much slow down time/not age for a while if you’d like lol. I just, I really feel like you should go back to this. Do ittt. You’ll be happy you did.
