Flower-Picking the Heart

Author's Note; I included Rollo since you mentioned that you also wanted to include him. I included some of the symbolism behind the flowers, but may miss some; so do be mindful of that! Also deviated a bit, but still stayed on prompt!

Sebek Zigvolt

Sebek was standing by your side in the flower garden; this was supposed to be a relaxed day with no duties or responsibilities demanding your attention. Yet, his back was as straight as ever as the both of you slowly made your way through the botanical garden.

You nudged him in the arm, trying to get his attention, only to garner him giving you the side eye and letting out a quiet grunt.

“Hey, you were the one that wanted to come to the botanical garden,” you offer, giving him your own side eye to rival the one he was sending you.

Sebek sighed, silently questioning why Lilia recommended the garden as a hang-out spot (no, it wasn’t a date as Lilia taunted, that’s what Sebek told himself anyway).

“I don’t need to explain myself,” he said in a clipped tone, but he was eyeing the floral displays.

For today they could pick a single bloom, and he was set on getting the best flower for the dorm; a rose that could belong back at the queen’s rose garden! That’s what Sebek had originally thought he was going to do.

That was until you went over to one of the displays and plucked a flower, and gave it to him with an expectant look.

“What is this for,” he nearly shouted, paying mind to control his voice since others were also attending the showcase and he didn’t want to bring prying eyes to this situation.

You tucked a bright blue bloom into his chest pocket, a bright, cheery, contrast against the black of his jacket. A single morning glory blossom.

You hummed, “No reason. It just spoke to me is all.”

A simple honest answer. But why did it cause his ears to burn?

A favour. I cannot owe them a favour for this! So he did the same, looking among the vast amount of blooms until he chose a pale pink peony, shoving it into your hands.

You eyed the flower, and put it into your chest pocket, to match with him. “Alright then, where to now?” Where will we go? Will we continue in this or will we grow into something else?

Vil Schoenheit

Vil had received flowers countless times before, so many times that he had honestly lost count. He was also versed in both flower and overall plant toxicology, but also flower language itself.

This flower-picking trip was originally supposed to be for him to restock for both the school (since Professor Crewel trusted him) and his own stock for potions.

And you just so happened to be there, giving him a small wave from where you were collecting your own flowers.

“This is a pleasant surprise,” Vil offered, walking over to where you were. “Hard at work I see.”

Vil took note of the flowers in your basket, as well as the dirt on your hands; it was charming. Daffodils and pansies? That’s odd, I didn’t take them as the sort to make poison… Hopefully, they do remember that daffodils are toxic and pansies are fine—

“Good to see you too,” you chirped, dusting off your hands from the dry dirt. You took note of his own basket and patted the ground next to you. “Come on then, join me.”

Vil looked at you and without much thought or other prompting, he knelt beside you in the sea of yellow daffodils. “What are you planning to do with those,” he asked, gently clipping a yellow bloom from its stalk.

You paused, a white flower in your hand. “I was going to give them to someone special to me,” you said quietly, deciding to be honest.

“Hm, you must hold this person in high regard then,” Vil eyed you curiously since the long stalks of the daffodils looked quite awkward next to the pansies. “Respect, regard, unequalled love,” he said, holding a daffodil. “Thoughtful and caring,” he looked at the pansies, before looking to you.

“I do, and he is,” you answered, hoping that he hadn’t caught on to your little plan.

Well, he didn’t until he came back to the dorm to find the flowers in a vase. For Vil; I suppose you already know what these mean. And he did.

Rook Hunt

“Rook, where exactly are you taking me,” you asked him, facing in his direction (or at least you hoped you were facing his direction since he had handed you a blindfold to “make the surprise be meaningful”).

Rook just gave you the answer he had given you the entire way, “You’ll see soon, Trickster.”

Eventually, the two of you did stop and Rook took off the blindfold.

Flowers, flowers everywhere. Of every shape and colour. They were blooming everywhere.

You were silent for a few moments, just taking everything in. The slight irritation that you were blindfolded slipped to the back of your brain (you could be annoyed with him later) and you watched hummingbirds and fat bees flit from flower to flower.

“What do you think,” Rook asked you quietly, not wanting to break the spell you seemed to be under.

You looked back at him, and a breathy chuckle left your lips. “What do I think? It’s stunning,” you say in awe.

Rook smiled brightly; either at your reaction or that he was correct in that he thought you would enjoy this.

He didn’t say anything though, and just watched you go about the flower field. Even though he wanted to say so many things, he found that he was for once, speechless.

Looking down for a moment something caught his eye; violets. Next to the gardenias, most would not pay them much mind; but Rook gently plucked a few, alongside a gardenia.

“Rook!” Your shouting snapped him out of his own thoughts, and he looked up. “Am I allowed to pick some?”

He blinked before regaining his usual cheery mask. “Oui, but only a few.”

He eyed the flowers he held in his hands before ultimately setting them back down. For although they spoke the truth, Rook wasn’t yet ready to lay his heart bare; not yet.

Rollo Flamme

Rollo hated that he could feel his heart beat like a bird trying to escape a cage, yet he found himself next to you again, the very person who caused the anomaly; like a moth to flame.

You were taking a path on the outskirts of the city, silent. And while Rollo was often used to the quiet, it only heightened his nerves, causing his heart to beat faster.

“Why did you invite me along,” you asked, breaking the silence.

Rollo faltered in his step before regaining his composure. “While the city is our main attraction, I do find the quiet walkways to be more enjoyable.”

You hummed, eyeing one of the numerous hydrangea bushes that lined the walkway, separating it from a lavender field. “It is rather nice, thank you. Although you can stop your sales pitch on your city.”

Rollo blinked at you, brow slightly furrowed. “Sales pitch?”

“Yeah, like selling all the good points? … Damn, I’ve been spending too much time around some people, sorry.” You felt embarrassed, that you had distrusted him when he was most likely just being proud of his city.

“Hmm,” was all he said, moving along. The silence returned, as Rollo was not the type to make simple small talk or force a conversation where one wasn’t needed.

“Pft,” your sudden outburst of near-silent laughter caught his attention and he stopped, turning to you with a curious look.

“What seems to be funny?” He meant it in a genuine manner, but you just started laughing more which only made him more perplexed. Perhaps the fresh air can do you some harm?

You got a hold of yourself, eyes watering from the wind and your little chuckle fest. “Fleur City, your city is literally flower city, and look what we’re surrounded by; flowers.”

Rollo looked at the flowers and then at you. “It is a bit on the nose, I guess.”

You plucked a hydrangea cluster from the nearest bush and tucked it behind his ear. “But it’s fitting nonetheless.”

If his heart was beating fast before, now his face was sure to be red, and not from the brisk breeze.

Him As a Fake Boyfriend | Genshin Impact

✧ So, my inspiration is from a movie, there are so many like these and they're always fun to me, sooooo I wrote about it! I hope you like it! The "plot" is generic, don't mind me. Also, usually I'll have a template for consistency but I didn't really come up with one here- sorry, I just really wanted to write it lol.

✧ Characters: Diluc, Kaeya, Thoma, Wanderer, Tighnari, Kaveh

✧ Extra: As per usual, (w/n) stands for wanderer's name in the event you wanna use the one you chose

Your sister is getting married, so of course you would be attending. The problem was... your ex was going to be there as well. As much as you disliked them, you had to attend. You had already lied a few times to your family that you did, indeed, have a boyfriend and planned a whole breakup story before actually attending the wedding. That's when your sister mentioned to you that your ex was attending.

Of course, she also told you to bring your boyfriend so that you could show him off. One problem: you didn't have one. So what was your plan?

You were going to hire one.

✧✧ Diluc ✧✧

Well, you're bold to approach him to be your fake boyfriend. You two were... barely friends, really. So he flat out rejected you the first time you asked.

You had to give him a whole explanation, practically begging him to reconsider. It took a while, but he finally accepted, declining when you said you'd pay him.

He told you to consider it a favor, and that he'll definitely be asking for one back in the future. You agreed- seeing as how you had little choice you had.

Diluc is pretty good at faking it. He's the type that keeps around you, comes up with replies really fast. He's good at remembering everything- all the information you gave him.

Definitely a no-nonsense boyfriend. If you're lying to yourself, he'll let you know. He also makes sure to remind you that you lying to everyone won't help either and it's best to resolve the issue quickly.

However, he also plays his role really well. There are no slipups, he's super confident, and he definitely scares your ex. The glares he sends your ex's way are just... so good.

You can help but be attracted to Diluc toward the end... he was pretty amazing...

✧✧ Kaeya ✧✧

He is definitely smirking and making assumptions on why you came to him, specifically. Of course, he teased you for a few minutes but eventually agreed. However, you'd owe him now.

He sat you down somewhere private and asked you seriously why you were asking for this. You gave him a quick rundown of the situation and he listened quietly before affirming that he'd be helping.

He's good at memorizing all your family members names, their faces, likes, dislikes, all that. You give him a lengthy speech before getting to the town where the wedding was going to be.

Kaeya is really good at calming you down, making sure to say the right things when any family member upsets you. He's not all that intimidating at first glance and he's ok with that.

He keeps your ex away by being all over you. The second your ex is even approaching you, Kaeya's arm is around your waist, pulling you against his chest, and kissing your cheek.

Honestly, your entire family is convinced Kaeya is so head over heels for you and keeps telling you that you should marry him soon. Of course, Kaeya happily agrees to it in front of them, but says nothing afterward.

At the end of the day, this was just a fake boyfriend situation. Or was it?

✧✧Thoma✧✧

You and Thoma weren't the closest, but you knew of him and so... you tried anyway. Thoma was shocked for sure and a little unsure at first. But you needed help so... he agreed. He wanted you to keep the money, but you insisted, telling him to just treat it like a job since you two weren't that close.

He had little to no trouble remembering names, likes, dislikes, and problematic people. You explained that some family members were really obnoxious and sometimes got into arguments with one another or insulted you.

Thoma memorized everyone and assured you it would be fine. You also gave him an explanation on that dumb ex of yours. Thoma picked up on your discomfort and touched your shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll be fine."

You two were staying in a family member's large home, in which you and Thoma shared a room. He offered to sleep on the floor but you didn't mind sharing the bed.

Everyone LOVES him. He's entertaining, kind, sweet, and very comforting. If someone says something that upsets you, he makes an excuse to pull you away and immediately says the opposite. Someone makes fun of you? He's telling you how gorgeous you look.

Your ex can't even get a minute with you. The second they look at you and are coming over, Thoma's grabbing your arm and taking you somewhere else.

He's the comforting boyfriend and it almost makes you a little sad when you're both heading back because you know this charade will be over soon. But it was definitely fun while it lasted. Maybe.. you might ask him out to a real date soon.

✧✧Wanderer✧✧

First of all, why him? Second, he wants that payment upfront. Every mora. He's rolling his eyes the entire time you're explaining why you wanted him to help you.

However, he does listen well when you're telling him names and personalities. He asks questions and makes sure he remembers everything to keep from embarrassing you.

He... doesn't stand for anyone making fun of you. Old friends, family, that dumbass ex. Right now, you're his and no one's gonna insult what belongs to him.

It was actually endearing. He may have been a bit too aggressive, but the way he defended you almost made you feel sad you weren't actually with him.

He's, of course, the no no-nonsense boyfriend, letting you know if you're being a doormat for everyone. He is, however, encouraging. Telling you what to do to actually be happy- as an unbiased party watching you crash and burn. That made you laugh for sure.

Your ex had managed to pull you away for a minute, telling you that they were better than (w/n) and that's when your "boyfriend" swooped in. Pretty much insulted and threatened your ex before dragging you off.

All in all, you enjoyed the wedding with (w/n)- a lot more than you thought you would. You were almost tempted to ask him out on a real date. He might've even said yes, who knows...

✧✧Tighnari✧✧

Tighnari thought it was a joke at first and actually laughed before his smile faltered and he apologized. You explained the whole reason- practically holding nothing back.

Tighnari felt bad so he agreed, he also insisted you keep your money. You explained that you'd need to stay at your family's home for a few days and he agreed to that too.

You two went through the family names and all that- but he almost made a point to ask what you were comfortable with. Hugs, kisses, PDA- all that. You knew there wasn't much of a choice, you two needed to look like a genuine couple... so everything was ok.

Tighnari's interactions with your family made him seem like he fit in almost perfectly. Your family loved him, but there were some that were skeptics. Especially your ex. Tighnari simply explained you were a new couple, so you two were still getting used to one another.

He took really good care of you. He made sure you didn't drink too much, he kept you from anyone who didn't like you, countered any insult that was thrown your way, and was just so perfect.

He showed his affection through touches and light kisses, rubbing your wrist before grabbing your hand and placing a kiss on your knuckles. The event went so smoothly with him there.

At the end of it, you were quite sad that you weren't actually with him. You made sure to thank him repeatedly but he only chuckled and waved it off, saying he had fun. You heavily debated asking him out right then and there.

✧✧Kaveh✧✧

Kaveh... wasn't sure. Pretending to be your boyfriend? That would just lead to more problems. Especially if he slipped up. He refused at first, but you really asked him.

He was dead set on rejecting you but when your eyes met his and he saw that desperation in there, he kinda froze up. You really needed help and what kind of man would he be to turn you down? So, he agreed- but he didn't want to be paid for it.

Learning about your family was hard, especially in one day. Of course, that didn't mean he didn't give it his darndest, but he couldn't remember them all before the day you were supposed to be at the family home.

Even if he couldn't remember them all, Kaveh has a very shiny personality and easily won your entire family over. He was so easy going, such a goof, and really kind! Your ex, however, didn't like him.

That was the entire point, every time he talked near your ex, Kaveh just went on tirades about how perfect you were for him and how lucky of a man he was to have such a sweet person loving him. Honestly, your family was already planning your wedding while still at your sister's wedding!

He was definitely the sweet, touchy boyfriend. He always had an arm around you, he often gave you kisses, don't forget dance practice! Honestly, he had so much fun- even if half of it was fake. Before you two knew it, the wedding was over and you were headed back.

You really had fun and throughout the party you kept comparing Kaveh to your ex. He was so much better- kinder, more fun, more loving, even if it was fake. There was a dull ache in your chest as you were going home and you were heavily debating on whether or not you should ask him out for real.

I avidly support SALS, YKINMKATO, and DLDR. most of what i write is of the darkfic, dead dove variety. i'm a fan of the comics, mainly the pre-Flashpoint era of the Batfam. some of my favorite comics are: Red Robin (2009), Batman/Huntress: Cry For Blood, Birds of Prey (2010), Young Justice (1998), Huntress (1989), Sword of Azrael (2022), Grayson (2014), Robin War, and the Question (1986). i can be a comics purist, but i just tend to leave alone fandom content i dislike and i think everyone should have fun with their blorbos, whether they've read the comics or not.

This set is really pretty but Ichika definitely has the best card in it. I love the stars and the little fish things swimming about.

Rainy Distance (First Star After the Rain)

No I do not care that this was her first 4*. How can people say the old sets are bad like have you SEEN the Stella set? It's absolutely beautiful.

Because You're Our Dear Friend (Unwavering Feelings, Now Put Into Words)

This set is so pretty!! It’s one of my favorite perm sets. Honami's is definitely my favorite though because the twinkly stars really take it up a level.

The Right Path for Me (Colorful Festival)

Shiho looks really cool in this one and I love the artstyle. I like the sign that just says "sign".

For "Your" Sake (Let's Deliver! Hopeful Stage)

Another really good Year One set! I love the angel theming with Minori and giving her actual wings was such a cool idea. Faito faito Minorin!

Perfect Premonition (Connecting Painful Hope)

I vividly remember when this leaked it was a big day for MMJ fans. She looks really cool in this card and I like the sort of rockstar aesthetic it has. Easily my favorite card for her

Thanks for the ask! Hope your day's going well, fellow Ryoji enjoyer.

Spoilers below for P2, P3, P4, and P5R.

First, I want to give some thoughts on his character as a whole. For the certain type of character he is (doomed, remorseful harbinger), Ryoji Mochizuki is perfect. I don't think there's a better Persona twist than his reveal as the the Appriser/Death, the thirteenth Arcana Shadow. Just because a twist is easy to see coming doesn't make it less impactful, and I particularly enjoy the way Persona 3 distills information to the player in allotments. Even knowing that, Ryoji managed to surprise me with how much more he was. And fittingly, a lot of Ryoji's characterization bounces back to the P3 Hero, and vice versa.

On top of that, Nyx Avatar is my favorite final boss in the entire Persona series and unsettled me out the first time. I'd still say that Nyx Avatar causes me more fear than the Reaper, who I'd comparatively describe as inciting panic rather than fear.

Ryoji is frequently compared to Kaworu from Neon Genesis Evangelion (NGE), and, well. Yeah. I believe I read that in a developer interview that the P3 dev team deliberately took inspiration from NGE but I'm unable to find a source at hand, so don't quote me on that. Between the two, I prefer Ryoji. He is the strongest out of the character type for me.

favorite thing about them

His layers! Ryoji is one of those late game characters who comes in and recontextualizes all the information you've learned thus far. It's why I love watching the Dictionary update throughout a playthrough. I understand why people are put off by the way he's introduced as a serial flirt, but Reload made it much more textually clear that this isn't his true personality, nor his intentions. Ryoji is proto-Teddie (Japanese Teddie, anyway); a fully formed individual who sprang into existence seeking connection. However, where Teddie's isolation and lack of identity are his defining characteristics, Ryoji's are moored in how connected he is with P3 Hero.

Ryoji ultimately only exists because of that connection, that little bit of humanity he's been given, but that's also what prevents him from being fully human. He's had a role to play since his inception, and he can't avoid that even with his newfound connections.

Ryoji's present throughout the entire story. You've got Pharos at the very beginning with the contract running errands for the Velvet Room (I like it more and more that I think about it. Picture Elizabeth or Igor having to explain to this terrifying child what he has to say. Or maybe he knew what to say all along! He has been waiting ten years), Thanatos tearing himself out of Orpheus (by far the best Persona awakening in the series and a textual highlight for what an alien force he is), and a crucial lynchpin event for Yukari's backstory, Mitsuru's backstory, as well as the crucial event for Aigis and P3 Hero.

There is no version of Persona 3 without Ryoji and I'm all the happier for it. Genuinely, if something's confusing with P3's story, there's 90% chance the answer is Ryoji or one of his many numerous forms. The remaining 10% is the Kirijo Group. That said, we don't get a lot of time with Ryoji. Ultimately, he's a part of P3 Hero and you're left to extrapolate exactly how much of each other you believe they've influenced.

Sogabe, the P3 & P4 mangaka, chose to highlight how similar Ryoji and P3 Hero look. I consider it an essential element of their relationship together.

least favorite thing about them

It'd be cheating to say nothing, wouldn't it? I'd say that his design is easy to mock and hard to get right in fanart. Between Ryoji's forehead and very Axel Kingdom Hearts approach towards long limbs – and legs in specific – the movies did not help with this. I've read reviews saying how the higher budget allowed for the characters to be more consistently on model, and thus look better, but I fervently disagree. That boy is mostly leg. Late 00s and early 10s anime art Looked Like That, though. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a soft spot for some of it.

But I love how Ryoji looks and wouldn't change it for the world. Silly slick-backed hair boy. It is funny how whenever Persona wants a villain with sympathetic qualities, they slick back the protagonist's hair (Philemon and Maruki come to mind).

Reload fixed ("fixed") this anyway but making him much fluffier in his portraits and giving his skin some color! He's achingly soft in that game.

favorite line

There's many iconic ones I could pick but I'm going to go with a new one from Reload:

It's so small, it's so playful! I like that if you choose to start an exchange he finishes the bit. It says a lot about him in such a succinct way.

Even more so when you consider the reason he came here was for Junpei's sake. Being able to balance joking around while keeping a touch of concern endears me beyond belief. Thank you, Reload.

brOTP

Junpei & Ryoji. It's not even close. This was the one element I was hoping Reload would show more and I was not disappointed! The dynamic is good for a variety of reasons, but chief among them is that despite Junpei's Persona being Magician Arcana, he is not the P3 Hero's Magician Social Link. Junpei is not the male protagonist's best friend. He clearly wants to be, but his frustration is palpable. The P3 Hero is cool, charming, and everything that Junpei plays second fiddle to, but he won't even acknowledge him. But what if there were a more likeable version of the Hero?

Instant friendship. Those two are besties from day one, where Ryoji has all the qualities but none of the knowledge, and so their dynamic is a much more even one. To me, it indicates how well Junpei and the P3 Hero might have gotten along had he not carried Death inside him for ten years. It's a brief window into another world.

There's also the fact that Ryoji, Death, befriends Junpei so close to when Takaya shoots him and he perishes. His character arc is defined by change, this act being what radically transforms his soul, and what's one of the meanings of the Death Tarot? It's like universal foreshadowing. It's funny to me too that the Magician Arcana Shadow is the one Thanatos tore to pieces. Growth for Ryoji too.

As an aside, I miss the dynamic movements from the PS2 cutscenes. Junpei being so quick to drown Ryoji is nowhere comparable to him covering Ryoji's mouth.

OTP

Hmm. This might take a second. I wonder what pairing I might like with Ryoji. Here's an unrelated picture of Messiah:

You know, Messiah is one of those Personas that has only grown on me more as time passes. My favorite of the final protagonist ones, due in part to how you have to fuse him yourself. Orpheus, the starting Persona, combined with the power of Thanatos, the penultimate manifestation of the Death Arcana. They compliment each other beautifully, and regardless of if you the player create him, he is always the true final Persona, the final result of the Judgement Arcana.

They are inevitable.

Of course it's Ryoji and P3 Hero. How could it be anything else? These two make me sick with joy. Death has a clear favorite and in the end, gets to keep him forever.

nOTP

It's funny, because I can't think of any serious pairing with Ryoji that I wouldn't view as a crack ship? I can't see any version of Ryoji with anyone but the P3 Hero nor can I take that relationship seriously. The only other being Ryoji has an established relationship with is Aigis, and that ship comes across as black comedy. I mean, there's also Ryoji and the P3 Heroine, who he is undoubtedly head over heels for, but I see her as heavily preferring Aigis. Oops.

Wait, I did remember one! Ryoji and Junpei! I'll admit, maybe it's the sheer "dudebro" vibe of their relationship, but people pairing these two was not an outcome I expected from Reload. I've seen it enough to know those who like it aren't joking, either.

It's funny, because they're both soul-taken at the tail end of their friendship (Ryoji with P3 Hero and Junpei with Chidori) so I guess I wasn't looking for it? Then again I can't see Junpei Iori kissing a man in general. If there's a Ryoji pairing that isn't my thing, these two are the Most not my thing.

random headcanon

Ryoji memory backfill!

I've seen multiple interpretations for how Ryoji's sudden transfer, housing, and parental situations were never questioned. I like exploring this for myself, especially from Ryoji's perspective. Ryoji fully believes himself to be human until 12/2's Dark Hour. So, how does he reconcile his own situation?

This headcanon states that whenever Ryoji is prompted to answer on where he lives, what he likes, or where he went to school before, he'll often "backfill" what memories he think should be there. If it's something he should reasonably know, it'll be there.

In-game you can see a couple instances of Ryoji being stumped at simple questions, like where his class trip was going to be, but excelling at others, such as when he asks Mitsuru out to a restaurant date. According to the headcanon, he failed the class trip question because it wasn't something he anticipated, but he knew a date location because it was essential to his personality. Ryoji Mochizuki is a hearthrob, it wouldn't make sense if he didn't. So he does.

I like to think Reload Ryoji's phone is another example of this backfill, though this one spills over into material items. Ryoji thinks he should have a phone and knows he should ask for others' numbers, but when he reaches for it on his first day it isn't there.

His inconsistencies are fun.

Rapid fire small ones: his favorite color is blue, he likes sunrises but not sunsets, and he's good with children.

unpopular opinion

This may be the most unpopular opinion I have in general, but I don't believe Ryoji is bisexual. Or rather, I don't necessarily believe he must be bisexual. It's not like I'm trying to shirk representation, but I think there are so many fascinating ways that you can analyze orientation for a character. Same with gender.

Ryoji, through my interpretation, is someone who could only love the protagonist. And it doesn't have to be a sexual kind of love. There's an entire spectrum of identities in our culture that we've labeled for what Ryoji's experiences could be. It brings me joy to be able to think about how – even if Ryoji knew about these identities – he'd define himself. On top of that, would how he define himself be accurate? Would he have misunderstandings about his own identity?

There tends to be a large backlash when someone even suggests a different label for a character with one widely agreed upon, which means my gender and sexuality thoughts stay hidden away. I'm more than aware of those that insist any hint of same-sex attraction is obviously platonic and fans are reading too much into things. I'd never want to take away from an individual identifying with a character for what a fandom settles on calling them.

Though one note: it's interesting to me that from the collective opinion I've seen, people have latched onto bisexual as a label rather than pansexual despite them ostensibly meaning the same thing. Something something changing social climate. Anyway. Play around with character gender and sexuality. It's good for you.

It's a traditional New Year's celebration song. Auld Lang Syne essentially means "for old time's sake". It originates from a precursor to Scottish, and exists as a fossil word inside this otherwise Standard English prose. I find it sweet how this little, historic piece gets to survive through something that redefines it.

Sweet. Fluffy. Endlessly endeared by the way his hair flairs out. A much clearer heart shape for his face. Perfection. Special mention to his startled expression. His eyes get small and I get happy, simple as that.

Although, I'll never forgive Reload for dropping his Messiah pose:

There's an element to this portrait that's a little more unearthly, but earnest. Visually, his eyes are also a clearer parallel to Aigis's in this version.

So I don't know if this question popped up. I've been meandering through the master lists here and there while snowed in on vacation and rewatching the anime for giggles, so I apologize if this question was already asked.

What was your thought process with each character death and each character you chose to save or maim?

For example, some characters have the same or similar deaths; like Marco still dying in the same manner, Levi's squad dying in the same position in the manga/anime, I'm sure there's more.

Then there are characters you change the death of, like Marlow, Moblit, Floch, Magath, Kenny, Bertholdt, Porco, Lara. Extending their life (Kenny, Lara, Bertholdt) or ending it quicker (Moblit, Marlow). Or changing it in a weird way like Magath or Porco.

There are characters you spare, like Sasha, Erwin, Hange, Willy, possibly Nile (I do actually want to know his fate because Dark Energon was involved and if he died did Primus save his soul?), Pixis, Colt. And trust me, I am glad to see most of these characters live!

Then you kill some characters who had lived to see the end, like Connie, Hitch, Yelena, and Reiner.

Then you have characters like Jean and Levi have injuries that were a bit more intense then what I remember from the anime/manga.

I'm just curious on your thought process in building the story and each characters development and the end goal.

Second part,

I also was curious on who wanted to reincarnate as a Cybertronian? We know Lara, and Maria based on Peaceful Timeline name. I'm curious if other characters we know by name made that choice too.

Oh I'm very excited to explain 10+ years of nonsense!

So again, I started this story way back in 2013, when AOT was at the height of it's popularity. I actually started reading the manga after season 1 ended and the manga was just ending the clash of the titans arc. So some of the deaths like Marco and Levi's squad I left as is. Part of it was because I didn't know how to incorporate them into the story to keep them alive, part of it because the AOT world is still cruel.

As for the deaths in the coup, like Marlow, Hitch, and Mobilit, it was more of a "They don't serve a purpose in my fanfic" kind of thing. Marlow decides to join the Survey Corps and then immediately dies in the Shinganshina attack. Hitch, in the main AOT story, mainly helps out Annie in that four year time skip, but because Annie is not in the crystal and is more adamant to go home more than ever, Hitch doesn't really serve a purpose. Same with Mobilit. I know he's somewhat popular in the AOT sphere, but we don't get much character with him, not compared to Marlow and Hitch. A lot of it is just head canon, so there's not much for me to play with. And also, because Optimus and Megatron are on Paradis helping the island, Annie and Bertholdt have to escape and go back home in order to provide some sort of even playing field. Them killing Hitch, Marlow, and Mobilit shows their ruthlessness and the fact that they are still the enemy, even if they are sympathetic.

Kenny is alive because there was no cave in. I ultimately decided that there was no need for a full on Rod Reiss titan brawl because I thought that Megatron's influence would prompt Historia to kill her father as a human. No Rod Reiss titan, means no cave in, which means Kenny gets spared. I didn't want him sitting in a cell doing nothing, so why not have him join Erwin and Megatron's insurance time and have him and Erwin be really weird friends. At least friendly enough to have Kenny save his life in the end. Also, Kenny's pure chaos and I thought it would be fun to explore. And I've actually wanted Kenny to have a little bit more substance to his and Levi's conversation before he died in the main story.

But once the plot twist of humanity not being extinct came out it left me with more room to play with. Even just prior to the reveal, there's no need for the entirety of the Survey Corps to go and get whatever was in the basement. They just send Optimus and Megatron to grab it and get out while also surveying the area to see what would need to be repaired. No mission, means Erwin and majority of the Survey Corps get spared, so does Bertholdt.

But then I'm thinking 'Oh, I have two characters that I need to play some type of role. I can't have them sitting on the sidelines' and then the Zeke spinal fluid comes into play and I thought, 'Oh I could use them for that.' I ended up getting Nile involved because I thought it would just be interesting to see Nile's dynamics with Erwin as the two were friends their younger years, while also adding more substance to Nile. In addition, I really liked the idea of exploring how Erwin would feel and adapt to this expansive new world that he has sought the truth about for years. Also, also, I thought it would be really cool for Erwin to get a cybernetic arm.

Also, also, also, because Nile and Anka, and the others in Paradis military were Eldians, Primus was able to grab their souls and purge them of the dark energon. So they're reincarnated. They're fine.

Speaking of dark energon, let's talk about Bertholdt and Porco. Yes, I did prolong Bertholdt's life, but ultimately had him killed off via titan ritual. Simply due to the fact that Megatron shot Bertholdt with dark energon. And we know how dangerous and corrosive dark energon is. Bringing back the dead, vampires, zombie cons, killing Cybertron, etc. When Megatron shot at Bumblebee in the season 1 finale with Rafael inside the car, Rafael was at death's door immediately, and he wasn't even directly hit by it. So I thought it would be interesting to explore the effects of dark energon on a titan shifter. But because Bertholdt is organic, despite being a titan shifter, he was going to succumb to dark energon because Marley has no idea how to counteract it. Which leads to Porco taking up the mantle because of Bertholdt's condition, especially since Ymir is still the Jaws Titan. In regards to Porco, it was just more of the continued effects of dark energon on a titan shifter. It was something that I wanted to explore. I wanted to explore how Porco's rage and grief is amplified and consumed by the side effects of dark energon and how that ultimately destroys him.

Magath, I was originally going to keep him alive and have him be that mediator mouthpiece between the world and Paradis. I even still have some of his rough draft scenes on file. But as I continued to write the story and kept Willy alive, I realized Magath didn't need to serve that purpose, especially since Willy would have more influence on the world compared to Magath. Once everything really started to finalize, then it just made it easier to kill Magath.

Meanwhile, Floch's death changed entirely because the Shinganshina mission never happened. That mission changed him and radicalized him, but because it never happened, Floch isn't emboldened and still harbors some compassion, and ultimately chooses to help save humanity because of Megatron's influence instead. But Floch still isn't as experienced as the others and didn't know how to anticipate Eren's attacks, so he goes down.

For Reiner, I believed he was fully going to die when I was reading the manga, but Isayama's favoritism of him kept Reiner alive. Which honestly, he should have died during that final battle. The fact that anyone fighting atop of Eren's Founding Titan form baffles me. But Reiner just had a bunch of death flags in the manga, and to not kill him off feels cheap in a way? It felt weird seeing him get somewhat of a happy ending when it didn't feel too earned because everything after chapter 90 felt rushed in my opinion. I still made Reiner a hero in this story. Him killing Porco and ending his friend's suffering saved the world and even the universe, because again, Unicron's a major threat.

Although, I will say that I left Hanji alive out of favoritism too. Also I wanted them to see Cybertron!

In addition, it felt weird that Yelena survived at all. And I thought that she would play more of a role considering her connection to Zeke, and her desire to cement herself into history, but they really just forgot about her by the end. Whether or not it was made to be ironic, I still wished there was some sort of pay off. I hope that I made some sort of payoff with Yelena. Sure, she doesn't become a savior of the world by the end, which was a selfish intention of hers, but she decides to perform one selfless action that buys the main crew more time before Eren kills her.

Sparing Sasha was actually a pretty difficult decision at the time. I had just started writing the Marley arc/going off grid when Sasha was shot in chapter 105. I was having this thought because I didn't know how big of an impact Sasha's death would have on the story. When everything played out and Sasha's death was really just a way to forward Gabi's development, I decided to change it. You can still have Gabi go through meaningful development without having Sasha go through a rather needless death. I know that it's the point of AOT, the senseless violence never ends, the world is cruel, yadda yadda. But the amount of backlash from so many people in the AOT fandom was absolutely ridiculous. Believe it or not, I was actually close to killing Falco in that moment. Ymir's still alive and has the Jaws Titan. Falco never gets it, so what's the point of him, ya' know. I ultimately leave him alive because it's too much torture for Arcee since she's the one that prevents Sasha's death. And on top of that, Arcee went through enough in the TFP show. I'm not adding anything on top of that.

And since we're talking about Falco, I spared Colt because I had already put in so much effort into keeping him alive through Megatron. On top of that, I thought it would be good to have someone from Marley actually defend Megatron in order to have the alliance stick more.

In regards to Pixis and Anka and ultimately back to Nile. If Megatron and co were going to inform the military about the wine sooner rather than later, that meant that some people were ultimately going to be spared of their fate in the actual story. If Pixis were informed, he would have resigned to prevent any backlash, ultimately sparing him from his fate, and he would appoint Anka, who he's trusted for over 5 years.

Speaking of Anka, we don't even confirm how she actually died in the story. People are assuming that she drank the wine and got turned into a titan, but we don't even see her seconds before the transformation. We don't get verbal confirmation that she did, she wasn't among the prisoners or the fight in Shinganshina. And then she's among the fallen as Hanji's doing their monologue. We don't even get a confirmation on how she died! Was she shot?! Turned into a titan?! And where's Gustav?! Huh?! We saw Rico in the end! But where was he?! Maybe I didn't include Gustav in my story, but at the very least, Anka gets some substance, and we confirm how she actually dies in my fanfic!

And as for both Nile and Anka dying in Shingangshina by Porco, I still had to display the cruelty of AOT while also showing just how dangerous dark energon within the Colossal Titan can be.

For Lara, yes I extended her life but I also kill her off during the final battle. Genuinely, I was just disappointed in how Isayama handled her character. She really just existed just for Eren to get a power up even though her power is earthbending! That would have been so cool to explore but we were robbed, so I thought of adding substance to her character by making her quiet and meek, giving her a motivation to get stronger, making her feel guilty of her unearned honor, and making her earn that honor by sacrificing her life to save a bunch of people. I know that I decided to keep Willy alive instead of Magath for him to be a mouthpiece to the world, but I also thought it to be a twisted sense of irony. Willy finally has earned the honor that his family lied about for years. He is finally, truly, earnestly hailed as a hero to the world, but that status came at the cost of his sister's life. He finally understands that horrible weight, and deep down, he would trade it all just to get Lara back.

In regards to the Survey Corps and everyone else directly fighting Eren, leading to severe injuries for both Jean and Levi and ultimately Connie's death, the main AOT story really just gave them plot armor when fighting on Eren's back. You mean to tell me that after Hanji's death in the story, no one else from the Alliance Team died or was heavily injured while fighting Eren? The most severe injury in that final battle was Levi's leg getting permanently messed up! That was some intense plot armor for everyone except for Eren! It's AOT! Someone had to die or get seriously messed up! Which is why Levi got completely wrecked and Jean lost his leg.

And someone from the main Survey Corps cast had to die, and I had already spared Sasha at that point. And I've had Connie's death in my sights for a while. I know that I ultimately let him have a reunion with his family, but I thought his death would add some extra tragedy. Connie was the last resident of Ragako. His whole village was turned into titans and killed, save for his mother, but there was no real solution to turning her back into a human without shortening her life. Connie's death means that Ragako is officially gone. It will only exist through the stories told by Connie. Its memory and its people are gone, and it was all because of someone that Connie had considered friend once.

So Part 2 of this question:

I would like to think a lot of Eldians living after the fall of the Eldian Empire would want to become Cybertronians. They've lived their whole lives under oppression, so of course they would jump at the opportunity to live a new life of freedom, especially those killed by Eren during the Rumbling.

Other Eldians that would probably choose to become Cybertronians...maybe a few people from the 104th cadet corps that died needlessly in battle, like Thomas and Mina. They've lived in the Walls their whole lives. A chance at freedom would be great, especially in a new body that lasts longer.

Like I don't really have definitive names of who would decide to become a Cybertronian...but I do have this:

Eren flinched when the door shut behind him. The echo of the door slamming shut vibrated throughout the dark room he was now in. The titan shifter let out a heavy breath, slumping forward and resting his hands on his knees. Sweat clung to his forehead and dripped down his nose. He could feel his hands trembling before he released his knees and clenched his fists. He was fine. He was okay.

Three trials were done with. He had nine more to go. He was going to continue to fight. No matter what.

Eren flinched when he heard a loud 'bang' echo in the room he was in. He raised his head and caught a glimpse of a blue light that disappeared. Eren flinched again when the 'bang' echo through the room once more, but he gasped when that sound was followed by a blue light that etched the walls of the hall. The light traveled the walls, revealing text engraved into the side of it, and a myriad of weapons either embedded in the walls or hanging on a rack.

Eren gulped as the sound of metal hitting metal continued. He had no choice. He had to keep moving forward. He forced himself to take small, hesitant steps, acting with caution as he traversed down the hall. The lights traveled the halls, allowing him to see more weapons and more engraved letters. Eren saw more light as he reached the end of the hallway. When he reached the end, he froze and gawked at the sight before him.

This circular room....it was tremendous. The walls traveled high up, and there was an opening where the ceiling was supposed to be. Eren could see blue smoke rising from the chimneys embedded in the walls. The smoke clouded the sky, but Eren managed to catch glimpses of the stars shining above.

Eren turned his attention to the walls, seeing more weapons and armor sealed away in glass. He also saw blue, circular, fountains of different sizes in the walls. As the chimneys released smoke, energon poured out of the fountains and fell into the pathways carved into the floor. As energon flowed on the outer rim of the room, Eren could see red, flaming waters bubbling to the surface and filling the inner pathways in the floor.

Eren snapped his head to the sound of metal clashing against metal. He stared at the center of the room and witnessed the back of a titan swinging a purple, glowing hammer on top of a strange looking anvil. Eren was surprised to see the titan have dreadlock hair, or something akin to that kind of hair. The hair was tied upward with its own strand of hair to prevent a mess or a break in its concentration. As the titan continued swinging, bursts of energy emerged from the hammer. The titan swung the hammer again and again and again, until the titan stopped. Eren watched it pick up the product it was creating and saw...that it was a navy blue mask of some kind. The mask had gaps on the bottom half of it. It...it reminded him of the War Hammer Titan.

The titan twisted something on the side of the mask, and the mask retracted with ease before coming back together again. Eren saw the titan turn and was stunned to see that it was a female titan. At least, she had female features. Something akin to a crown had adorned her head. She had a mask of her own covering her mouth, but her optics were different. Instead of that traditional blue, it was a pink color, almost like a rose. There were text engravings on her armor, the same ones that were engraved in the wall.

Eren felt the ground shake as the titan walked around the anvil towards the wall behind the anvil. She pressed her hand on the wall, and it opened freely revealing a metal body resting in the wall. It was massive, a navy blue color with silver accentuated marks around the arms, legs, and torso. The arms were crossed over the body's chest. On the left arm was a circular shield with engraved text. In the right hand, was a silver hammer. Eren noticed the rather peaceful features on the face of the body, like it was sleeping.

The titan stepped forward and placed the mask on the face of the resting titan. She hooked it in place, and Eren watched the eyes open and shine a bright blue. Eren watched that blue light travel throughout the body hanging in the wall, giving it life for a brief moment before it rested peacefully in the wall.

"Lara Tybur." Eren froze at the sound of the titan's voice. Low, commanding, powerful, it bounced off the walls of the room, "A commendable warrior, and an honorable one at that."

Eren couldn't help but scoff at that. "The Tyburs were cowards. They had the ability to change the world for the better, but chose to hide in the shadow."

"And yet, she sacrificed her life to save over 200,000 humans. Eldian, Marleyan, and everyone in between," The titan continued, "Even when the truth of her family was revealed, she chose to protect those that would have both praised her and scorned her for her actions."

Eren grew tense when the titan's rose-colored eyes fell to him. She retracted her mask and pulled the knot her single dreadlock had created to hold her hair. Her hair fell down with ease, barely passing her shoulder blades. "Unlike you, Eren Jaeger."

Eren didn't have the words to retort. She had to be the next Prime on the list. There was no other reason as to why she would be here.

"And quite hypocritical of you to accuse Lara of not enacting proper change with her power and status," she challenged, "You also had that power to enact real change, but we all saw you choose to enact death and destruction."

The titan walked over to the anvil and grabbed her hammer. "You've taken quite a while to get here, Eren Jaeger."

Eren felt like he wanted to collapse right then and there, when those eyes looked down at him with fury. "My name is Solus Prime: the Forgemaster. The builder and creator for the Thirteen Primes."

(So that's all I have for this ask. But it was fun to answer.)

“James!” you called, trying your best to catch the curly-haired boy. He didn’t turn around but he stopped and you were able to be next to him in two steps. “James,” you said again, grabbing the sleeve of his shirt “please let me explain.”

You both initially were in the Gryffindor common room, playing truth or dare. You chose truth and the next thing you knew you were telling your entire friend group that you had a crush on James last year when you were sitting next to your new partner.

No one expected this, apparently you were good at keeping your feelings to yourself. And it broke your heart a little when James got up with an expression on his face that you couldn’t describe and left the room.

“I’m sorry,” you said. The last thing you wanted was to create an awkward situation between the two of you. Godric, you hated party games. “Just forget what I said, I’m over you now you don’t have to worry about me, I don’t want things to be weird between us now, I never wanted t-”

But as you started to get lost in your words and thoughts, James cut you “I wish I knew.” Now, that was something you didn’t expect. James was maybe the most fast forward person you ever knew, not confessing his love to the person he fancied was not him.

“What?”

“I wish I knew you wanted me. I would have made a move then,” he let out a small ironic laugh, sitting slowly on the floor with his back against a wall. His legs were pressed against his chest as he buried his head in his knees.

You stared at him for a second before sitting next to him. “Why you didn’t tell me anything?” that maybe wasn’t the best question but it was the only thing that crossed your mind.

“Didn’t want to freak you out. You know what happened with Lily” the way his voice was so low, so not James, broke you. You were maybe over him but you still loved him, he was your best friend and you never wanted to hurt him.

“Do you…” the words were hard to pull out of your mouth “Do you still love me?” The following seconds of silence were maybe the longest of your life. You both didn’t speak or move.

“Yeah”

You felt like your mind was exploding. You thought about the things you missed just because you never had the courage to ask him out. It was a weird feeling to describe, as if there was something missing in your heart. But you were over it now, and you couldn’t change the past. “I’m sorry, I-”

“Please don’t make this harder” he almost sounded like he was begging. You didn’t answer anything, feeling your heart aching in your chest when James got up and made sure you didn’t follow him. And as much as you tried to convince yourself of the opposite, you swore you saw a tear on his cheek when he left. You were the reason for his cry, and you couldn’t do anything about it.

The League of Villains Halloween Horror Anthology Sign Up

This is the sign up post for the first annual League of Villains Halloween Horror Anthology!

The deadline to sign up for this event is September 30th! Please keep that in mind!

What it is:

The anthology will be various fanfics and fanart of League of Villains members reimagined as horror creatures/icons/characters, to be posted throughout October of this year. I thought it would be a fun way to get us all in the spooky Halloween mood.

This is an adults-only event! Please do not sign up unless you have your age listed in your bio or pinned post! Minors do not interact!

Rules:

You can make fanfic or fanart, or both! But each piece must feature a League of Villains member (past or present, but only one per piece) as a horror creature/icon/character, such as a vampire or a masked killer. They have to be the source of the horror, so no zombie fics where the character is fighting zombies. If you pick zombie as your horror creature, the character you pick has to be a zombie.

Multiple people can claim each character, so if we get 30 Dabi fics, so be it. However, only one person can claim each horror icon for the medium you chose. So if someone already signed up for one of the characters as a vampire in a fic, you can’t sign up for a character (even a different one) as a vampire in a fic. You can sign up for a vampire in a fanart, provided no one else has. I will do these on a first come, first serve basis. So the first person to claim a given creature will get it. If a lot of people sign up and I feel like we’re legitimately running out of horror tropes, I might bend this rule a bit. Also! You can be specific to differentiate between creatures. Like an undead pirate is different from a regular zombie, and so on.

Fanfics can be X Reader or not. They can be NSFW/smut, or not. That’s up to you! If you choose Toga as your character, only write/draw SFW pieces for her, as she is a minor. It doesn’t matter if you age her up. You don’t have to make your piece horror, but it’s encouraged. This is a Halloween anthology after all. At the very least, a spooky vibe should be present, even if your piece is overall light hearted. Likewise, you don’t have to set the story on or around Halloween, but it would be nice to have some works that do so.

You can post your piece any time in October. From the first day of the month to the last. Ideally, the pieces will be spread out a bit throughout the month, but I’m not assigning anyone specific days. Just post it whenever you want in October.

If you sign up, but decide to drop out, that’s fine! This is a zero pressure event. You don’t even have to explain why. All I ask is that you send me a message or Ask letting me know so that I can remove you from the sign up list. Someone else might have wanted to write about the creature you chose, but couldn’t because you picked it.

When you post your piece, use the tag #lovhalloweenhorror. Feel free to use the tag before then! Use it to talk about the piece you’re working on, use it to post sketches or previews! Heck, use it even if you just plan to enjoy the fan works! Use it to talk about things you’d like to see/read as a viewer. Anything goes! Let’s build up some excitement!

As works begin to be posted in October, I’ll create a Masterlist post to list all of them in one convenient place. If you post your piece and you don’t see it added to the list within a day or so, send me a message to let me know in case I missed it.

Yes I’m doing another event for another milestone–don’t kill me please.

So welcome to my 1.5k follower event! Thank you to everyone that helped me get this far, I truly appreciate all your love and support with my writing. Interacting with some of you has been the highlight of my year and really motivates me to continue with this blog!

Anyway, onto more about this event! There will be TWO options to choose from; either trope drabbles or song inspired drabbles.

Allow me to elaborate on each one:

For tropes, you’d pick a romance trope from the list I’ve provided along with the name of a fandom, and I’d write a brief 500 word or less drabble of a character from the fandom you chose that I think fits that trope the best, along with a brief drabble of seeing the trope and that character in action (pls why is it so hard to explain this)

And for song inspired drabbles, it’s just as stated–you’d send me a song (i’ll have a few examples if you can’t think of one) along with a character and one quote from the song you’d like me to include (this is optional) and I’d write a little something for you. Under 500 words.

Momiji / Kaede: (Wow… what refined mixing skills. He has a serious expression on his face which brings out his good looks… I can’t take my eyes off him.)

Yodaka: And a slice of orange to finish – Thank you for waiting.

Momiji / Kaede: Thank you!

The blue and orange gradient is very pretty. The bar’s lights reflect off of it, leaving golden sparkles – it looks just like the ocean.

Yodaka: I made this juice cocktail with you in mind.

Momiji / Kaede: Huh?

Yodaka: Your eyes are full of energy, just like fruit loved by the sun – a calm feeling emits from your entire body and envelopes everything.

I shall call this juice cocktail “The Ocean’s Gold Coin”. I hope it’ll enrich and moisten your insides. Here you are.

Momiji / Kaede: ……!

(I couldn’t help but go red…)

Thank you… Oh… it’s delicious…!

Daniel: Right? Yodaka’s the real thing. Well, just turn a blind eye to his natural seduction.

Don’tcha think it would be amazing if we could drink this every day at HAMA House?

Momiji / Kaede: ……

(I didn’t understand why he brought me specifically to this bar but…)

So that’s the reason.

Daniel: That’s the reason.

Yodaka: That’s what?

Daniel: Alright, explain it to him. For the sake of our rich home-bar life.

Momiji / Kaede: We don’t need your impure motives. …Yodaka-san, please take a look at this.

Yodaka: What’s this…?

What a shame. That’s one hefty file for a love letter.

Momiji / Kaede: A–A love letter…

Yodaka: Sorry. I tend to have an occupational disease that causes me to be loose-lipped. Putting the jokes aside… This looks like some sort of proposal.

Momiji / Kaede: Yes. Please allow me to give you a proper explanation.

Yodaka: …I understand now. In other words, the Hama Tours company is coming up with package tours in order to maintain special tourist wards within Hama.

You’re searching for 18 ward mayors to be in charge of those wards. And you’ve already found 14.

Momiji / Kaede: Yes, that’s correct.

Yodaka: You decided that people who are skilled in providing relaxed hospitality to travellers would be desirable for the Night Group, and have created conditions that they must “own a store” and “have roots in the region”.

Momiji / Kaede: Yes. Those are the conditions the president has come up with.

Yodaka: You decided to pay Flower Laundry a visit, a store you have friendly relations with, but ended up unable to meet Nagi. Then, you chose to select me, who works at the bar Danny frequents. I see.

Momiji / Kaede: I’m sure you’re taken aback by the sudden proposal. I’m also fully aware it’s rude that it seems like we brought the proposal to you as an extra thing following Flower Laundry. But…

I was certain the moment I tasted the cocktail earlier.

The Ten Nights’ Dream bar is the perfect place to provide alcohol and the type of hospitality that will heal the souls drawn by travelling as well as the physical body.

Yodaka: ……

Momiji / Kaede: If you would please read through the documents and take your time to give us an answe–

Daniel: How stiff can you get? My shoulder’s stiffening just by listening to ya.

Yo, Yodaka – this is ward no. 17. You wanna be the mayor of this ward?

Yodaka: I don’t mind.

Momiji / Kaede: Wha–

Yun Yun: WHAAAAAAT!?

Momiji / Kaede: Y–Yun Yun-san…!?

(It looks like he’s even more shocked to see that Yodaka-san had just casually agreed to it.)

Daniel: That’s surprising. You’re the one who said you could spread your wings when the owner’s not around – I thought you’d be sending him off with a party.

Momiji / Kaede: (That’s the sort of vibes Yun Yun-san gives off, huh…)

Yun Yun: …There are a lotta people who come to this bar to chat with you.

You’ll get so busy working as the ward mayor you probably won’t have time to tend to the bar, right?

Momiji / Kaede: Oh, it’s our goal to have him provide hospitality to the guests here at the bar, so his work as the bar’s owner will take precedence.

I’ll take responsibility in ensuring he doesn’t take on too much work. Please rest assured.

Yodaka: You hear that?

Yun Yun: ……

Yodaka: Both Danny and Nagi are my close friends. I’ll be happy to take on their request.

…Oh, we still don’t know if Nagi will agree to being a ward mayor, though.

Momiji / Kaede: Come to think of it, you spoke of him like you two share a close relationship. You know him from way back?

Yodaka: I didn’t explain. He visits the bar once a week to deliver the flowers in that vase over there.

Momiji / Kaede: I see!

(Um, I didn’t get the time to react but… Yodaka-san, he said yes to being a ward mayor, right…? Which means…)

He signed the contract…!?

Daniel: That’s what it means.

Yodaka: I’m Yodaka Natsume. It’s nice to formally meet you.

Momiji / Kaede: L–Likewise! Hooray!

Daniel: You’re way too excited. Your entire face is red. …Well, I guess our work for today is over.

Momiji / Kaede: I didn’t think you’d agree so quickly…! I’m sorry for making a fuss!

But I’m really happy. Thank you so much!

Yun Yun: ……

Yodaka: ……

It’s okay. I won’t cause any trouble for you.

Yun Yun: …Geez, that’s not what I’m worried about. What’re you saying?

I know, let’s celebrate today! All drinks will be on Hiroshi!

Daniel: Say what?

Yun Yun: We’ve got some rare Japanese whiskey that came in the other day. You prefer whiskey, right? So how about it? Should I set the bottle aside for you?

Daniel: Ohh~ That one’s aged 25 years from Kurosu! How much is it gonna be?

Yun Yun: Don’t be like that~ Come on, just buy out the whole bottle~

Daniel: You’re telling me to buy it out without giving me the price?

Momiji / Kaede: (Putting Daniel-san going off topic aside, that’s one ward mayor confirmed for now… Maybe this is a good sign. If only we could get the next ward mayor to say yes this quickly too…)

Yodaka: It seems those two are having a good time by themselves, so why don’t we do the same with some chatting?

Momiji / Kaede: Sure, what would you like to talk about?

Yodaka: You’re honest – how cute. Alright, what sorts of topics do you prefer?

Momiji / Kaede: Umm, then… would you happen to know where Nagi might frequent? Like, you’ve seen him here or there.

You’ve only seen him when he’s delivering flowers here so it might be a long shot but… I figured I might ask just in case.

Yodaka: Oh, that’s nice. You sound like a detective. And a detective always has a specific bar they visit for information.

Then, I suppose I’ll provide you with some information like a real bar owner would.

Momiji / Kaede: So you might have some ideas…?

Yodaka: Unfortunately, knowing his current location would be more difficult than trying to find a lost bird. After all, he’s the man who crossed the pacific ocean just to get to the convenience store.

Momiji / Kaede: T–The pacific ocean!?

Yodaka: It seems he’s favoured by a mischievous god. Maybe he was born that way.

Momiji / Kaede: (C–Come to think of it, the store’s pet robot also mentioned that he’s a “trouble magnet”... He was also stuck underneath his motorbike the last time I met him…)

Yodaka: By the way, I know the perfect place for people who are searching for someone. Thanks to some twist of fate, it’s also located in ward no. 15, which doesn’t have a ward mayor at the moment. Would I be of help if I told you about that place?

Momiji / Kaede: Oh… Please give me the details!

Yodaka: Of course, if that’s what you wish, Detective.

The customer that frequents that place… Well, let’s call him Morio Kinniku… this is a story I heard from him.

At the dead of night one evening, Mr. Kinniku was on his way from work, rushing home with a bag in one hand.

As he approaches the quiet street, a rather odd manor comes into view. He walks closer to it, wondering how there could be such a manor here, but just as he does, he senses there is something hiding in the shadows of the building.

Timidly, he takes a look and that’s when he sees “it”.

It turns around, aware that it’s been noticed. The “One-Eye” notices Mr. Kinniku… Lightly turns around and disappears into the night.

The name of that manor is…

“Angel Eye”.

Did you know that, apparently, there is something that bears a single eye inside of an angel?

Maybe that’s what he saw.

Momiji / Kaede: So, this is Angel Eye. I didn’t know but it’s apparently a pretty well-known manor in the fortune-telling industry. Even Mr. Kinniku is a regular here…

Daniel: Hmm… It’s a big building but also seems pretty old.

Momiji / Kaede: You think so? I disagree, though.

(Um, the entrance is… over here.)

(We got lost on the way and it’s now evening, though. They’re still open, right?)

Man in white: Over here, I’ve spotted them!

Surround them! Don’t let them get away!

Daniel: ……

Momiji / Kaede: Huh…!?

Damage Control

Warnings: NWH Spoilers; Peter being forgotten(not by reader lol); canon events of NWH; Normal sad Marvel

Pairings: Peter P x Asgardian!Reader; Loki x Sister!reader; Thor x sister!reader

Summary: After the events of No Way Home, Y/N and Loki are tasked to go to Midgard to repair damages, and a blue and red character is surprised by a certain someone.

Word Count: 798

Content: Maybe a whole fic.. more than a Drabble at most.

Staring at my tablet, they showed the damage caused on Earth. "Princess Y/N, you're needed by King Tho-," I heard a maid say, not finishing when she saw me watching the news. "Princess Y/N, you know the news is bad for your mental mindset." The same maid mentioned while cleaning up my vanity. "Oh alright..." I put my tablet down on my nightstand and stood.

I wiped my sweaty palms on my dress and walked out the door to head to the throne room. Loki was also walking out of his chambers. His face lit up in mischief. "Hello sister, do you know what this oaf wants?" "No, Loki, I do not, and don't call him that, you know he hates it." I said calmly, with a bit of humor.

Thor was pacing back and forth, frantically, might I add. "Ahh..you're finally here." He announced clapping his hands. "Brother, what is needed from us?" I asked after I curtsied before him.

"Well Y/N, I need you to go to Midgard and help with the damage." He stated." Ok.. and why is Loki here?" "He is needed by Doctor Strange for some multiverse issues." Loki rolled his eyes, but underneath, I knew he was pleased by being needed.

"Alright, you ready to go now Loki?" I asked him, with a smirk on my face. I transformed quickly into trendy midguardian clothes and started racing Loki to the Bifrost bridge. I made it there first, Loki showed up seconds later. "Princess, Prince." Heimdall bowed.

He turned the sword and Loki and I were transported to Midgard." Alrighty, Thor is sending me to the Sanctum in Greenwich." I sighed. I turned to look at Loki and hugged him. "Be safe and don't do anything I would do," Loki said as he returned my hug and kissed my forehead.

"You too brother. See you soon." I said. I took out my phone that Thor gave me before I left. I put in the address "43-25 43rd St. Long Island City, New York." Not wanting to attract attention to myself, I decided that walking was better than teleporting.

*20 Minutes Later*

I looked at the building, or what was left of the building. Noticing the fire, the rubble, and the lack of civilians, I got to work. I closed my eyes, my palms out, and called my magick forward. I felt the surgery of power flow through my veins.

I started removing water from the lake nearby. I put out the fires easily, despite the resistance of my magick collecting the water. Looking ahead, I chose not to rebuild the building. I put the remaining rubble in the lake, thanking the element for allowing me to control it.

I called my magick back into me, keeping it secured. I saw a shadow in my peripheral. It was blue and red. The colors were easily recognizable. Peter! I thought. To assure myself that it was Peter, I called out his name.

"Peter! Hey Peter!" The figure quickly turned around and swung toward me. "You-you know my name?" He asked, looking confused. "Um yeah...you're Peter right?" "Yeah, I-I am." He chuckled.

"Why were you confused?" I asked. "It's a long story." He explained. I looked at my phone. No calls from my brothers. "I have time." "Oh-uh, ok. Well, my apartment is a couple of blocks away from here." I followed him back. We reached the complex, found his loft, and unlocked the door with his keys.

He allowed me in. I took in the simple aspect of the small space. I walked over to his desk, noticing the sewing machine and scraps of his suit. I looked closely at the coffee cup, "we are happy to serve you" it said.

I looked behind me, noticing Peter standing there with a pained look on his face. "So...what happened?" I asked, getting straight to the point.

He poured everything from the government accusing him, to his aunt passing, to now a world not knowing that Peter Parker exists. "Oh, Pete," I said, not wanting to cry. "Anyways, how do you still know who I am?" I wiped my eyes before the tears could fall.

"I wasn't on Earth when this happened. I was up in Asgard after the final battle." "Oh." He said simply.

We sat in silence, until my phone went off, signaling that Loki was done with his mission. I looked up at Peter, who was lost in his mind.

I leaned forward and put a kiss on his cheek. "I have to go back, but my number is on the table if you ever need to talk, ok?" I softly smiled. He nodded and kissed my cheek back. "Thank you." "Always." I smiled and teleported back to the meeting point.

what of those who use rewrites and get harassed for it by... *those* kind of bright fans, like the type of "fan" that send threats, make nazi jokes, and so on, etc. like dont we also get some voice in venting? if i may share my vent:

i don't care if people wanna use bright, that's their choice good for them, but at most i want people to understand /why/ some people might be moving to a rewrite or a different character within the scp universe instead. and same thing goes for rewrite crowd to understand the same. its a spectrum, two extreme ends with a lot of grey in between it. bullying, sending threats, etc whatever from all sides isn't going to help anything.

i personally moved to rewrite because it just felt the best thing to do morally. i like to follow morals, and the moral said to rewrite something new. am i going to bully people and go "delete bright boo!!" no. i could never.

things i do agree: for the character to be deleted, or at least archived the same way the original 166 file was archived on the wiki with a big ass disclaimer, and keep the tales provided by they were written by other uses and not adminbright (example, keeping Major Tom but deleting Code Brown)

things i dont agree: bullying people who chose to either use bright or use a rewrite. agree to disagree.

Everyone can vent if they’d like and your welcome to vent here if you’d like but please just keep in mind that this is primarily meant to be a safe space for Bright users as well as being a place for my thoughts meaning I won’t exactly be impartial or neutral. I however do not condone any harassment and agree that everyone should be able to do whatever they’d like without fear of harassment.

Also I feel like the reason Bright fans vent more here on Tumblr is because rewrites are much more prevalent here and they also get much more support whereas Bright users are simply not allowed to speak in a lot of spaces. Of course this doesn’t justify any harassment but it may explain why some Bright fans go so far plus there’s simply way more rewrite users then Bright users here on Tumblr especially in the Western side of the fandom so that of course means there’s a larger percentage of them who’ve received harassment compared to the few Bright users.

Also also I’m not a big fan of the morality argument, I just feel like basing your interests off of what others tell you is ok to like/support can get depressing pretty quickly. Obviously you shouldn’t financially support bad companies/people but I feel like just straight up not being allowed to simply enjoy something or talk about it is going too far especially when it comes to something as harmless as a character. Of course the choice is yours however I’d just advise you to only follow your own idea of what’s morally correct and not let others bully you into doing what they think is right.

As for character Bright I believe he belongs to everyone but his original author so I agree that AdminBrights works should be removed off the wiki or if possible do something similar to Ao3’s orphaned accounts/anonymous accounts that way even if removal can’t be achieved then at least it’ll limit AdminBrights reach with new users. Everyone else’s works with Bright on the wiki should stay of course as they’ve done nothing wrong.

Anyways this’ll be the third or fourth time I’ve said this but do not send rewrite creators any hate or harassment I expect everyone here to act like adults regardless of age. If I find out anyone of my followers has been responsible for such asks/messages then me and my friends will put you on blast for all of Tumblr to see, this is not funny and your making the rest of us look immature.

Hi I'm new to the fandom and not gonna lie for a long time I was confused about why would anyone ship Rivamika because it always seemed like Levi was barely aware of Mikasa and Mikasa hated Levi or disliked him. I started reading the manga last week and I'm honestly surprised by how little changes made a huge different. WIT always made it seem like Mikasa didn't care about anyone other than Ereh and I believe they are the reason why everyone makes fun of Mikasa for being obsessed. I genuinely thought "I love her but she's very ungrateful and rude sometimes, their strongest soldier hurt his ankle when they needed him the most because of her and all she cared about is Ereh" but it's not like that in the manga. She actually feels guilty and responsible which is a great panel to show how character development. A 3 seconds scene would do so much good to Mikasa's character but WIT somehow didn't want to include that scene. Even in S3 it seemed like they would like to keep them apart and don't let them interact even though there was a huge reveal about them. And I think it's not only WIT. Even Isayama himself is almost afraid to let them interact and I'm not talking about shipping here. Imagine finding out that someone experienced the same things as you did, have this weird mysterious power thing going on and that person is your Captain whom you made it clear that you trust and respect now. It's crazy to me that they don't even talk and compare their experiences etc???? Again, it's not even about shipping, it pisse me off because it feels like Mikasa isn't allowed to have anything of her own, the reason why Mikasa ships aren't popular isn't because she's not loved, it's because Isayama, WIT and even Mappa didn't let her have many meaningful interactions. Hell, even with Armin (they are supposed to be a trio) it sometimes feel like they were just hanging out for Eren. Ughhh they could at least let Mikasa have Ackermans for her own. She could interact more with Levi and even with Kenny for a sec. So disappointing :(

The “I didn’t get how people shipped rivamika” thing is common tbh, don’t worry! I was on that train too until I stopped to think about everything implied between the lines—most of it being in the manga, as you said. I know people say things like we ‘grasp at straws’ but there is realistically fantastic depth we can assume from their closeness as comrades alone. The magic of Rivamika as a ship is it takes more deep knowledge of the characters to understand why it WORKS so well. And when you get it, gosh, it’s amazing!

We definitely agree too, that WIT cut such crucial scenes to Mikasa’s character. I will never understand their choices… And I’ll forever grieve it 😭 That scene of self-reflection and guilt over Levi’s injury/absence is important because it’s the first time she finally thought outside of her tunnel vision of Eren. Ultimately, she learns to care about what happens to others as a result of her actions, which quite literally starts with Levi.

I also agree, it seems like Yams started the Ackerman reveal + arc but decided midway not to commit to it or develop it. It explained their strength, but that was it. It’s strange that even in the anime they chose not to explain that Ackerman’s are Titan DNA hybrids. That seems like a crucial piece but I wonder why they didn’t think it was important. Because then the whole “Ackerman’s are immune to x and x” has no narrative proof at all.

I like to think Ackertalk happened behind the scenes. I like reading everyone’s versions of it—but always a shame we never got that in canon. It’s even strange because they both lost their entire families, so finding out you’re from the same people should at least create a sense of bonding or they’d take on a slightly familial role, or SOMETHING. (Though I’m glad it didn’t go that route because people would REALLY think they’re cOuSiNs lol) But it’s just strange Yams introduced these things that ended up really having not much purpose, or none at all. (Don’t get me started on the Azumabito shit)

I still hope and manifest for some sort of Ackerman spin off that explores this. Can you imagine? Levi and Mikasa (the cash cows of AOT, we say!) venturing off post-war to discover more about the Ackerman’s? Or to retrace and find surviving Ackerman’s outside the world?
