I close my eyes; take a breath. 'Both,' I whisper back. 'Are you going to try to stop me?' I hold my breath. Hoping I won't have to fight you, too. But your eyes meet mine, and are bright in their sincerity; dark in their understanding. 'I want to help you,' you say. 'The world isn't painted in black and white, and sometimes it takes a little good and a little bad to set everything back in balance.' And then, I felt warmth bloom in my chest. Because I knew I was no longer alone; that someone had my back. And now it was time to make this, all of this, right.

Omg wait Bay can’t see the E in those eyesight tests??? Can you?? Bc I can’t, and I always find it hilarious how bad my vision is. How does Bay fight? How does he recognize friend from foe if he can’t see a six inches in front of him? Are contacts so much cheaper than glasses so that he can wear them nonstop? I can’t even IMAGINE walking around without glasses all day, let alone fight for my life without them!! Lol I’ve gotten so much more invested in this in the past forty seconds istg

nope!! hes blind the poor baby. I cant either LOL. after my eye surgery i can barely see a foot in front of me before it gets blurry. Bay usually has contacts in when he has to fight, so that his eyesight is perfect. hes also an archer, so thats,,, kinda important, you know???

otherwise when hes fighting he relies on his other senses, specifially hearing to be able to fight well- but he wont touch a bow without glasses or contacts of some kind. he was taught to fight without eyesight with a blind fold so that he didn’t have to rely on his vision bec he was moving nonstop and didn’t have the identification to be able to get glasses, so the pair he has, hes had for a while

Tho, fighting without glasses does cost him. i imagine he can get splitting headaches afterwards from straining his eyes so much. i know that i get headaches when i go so long without my glasses
