So, I have this friend who has been giving me massive egg vibes for some time now. At first, I made a joke to him saying I'd give him my estrogen and turn him into a girl, and he pumped his fist and gave a soft little cheer of "yes!" Later, I learned that he wants to wear this super cool dress for a big event in about a year. Several other trans people I know have told me they get egg vibes from him as well. I've talked to him a little, even outright telling him I think he could be transfeminine, and he gets really excited when talking about wearing women's clothes or cross dressing. He's told me, however, that he's not currently considering transitioning. Of course, I respect whatever decision he ultimately makes, but I also know that not transitioning is often appealing to pre-transition girls because it's the easier, less scary way out (it certainly was for me, and there's a good chance I would have given his exact answer a few years in the past). I want to encourage him in a way that can help him if he's a repressing trans girl but not make him overly uncomfortable if not. Any thoughts/advice? I appreciate your perspectives, and I hope you can help in some way :)

She needs to learn it’s alrigjt to be trans. The number of folk i saw behave that way, who would just state they couldn’t be trans… She needs time, of course, but also needs to understand what she can be. That there’s no hidden quality to being trans that she lacks

guys this is a safe space ok. in the princessbrunette universe, jj was stabbed but he survived. he falls back, holding his wound and essentially bleeding out after kitty grabs the knife — jumping on top of groff and stabbing him repeatedly until he’s unrecognisable. she’s never killed anyone, let alone like this — but after everything he’d done, and now the threat of him taking her jj away — she just snapped. think that one scene of ellie in tlou1 when she only stops stabbing that creep when she gets pulled off by joel.

in this case, jj — coughing and spluttering pulls her off, taking her bloody face in his hands.

“hey,” he coughs. “you got him. you got ‘im. take a breather i’m,” he coughs once more. “i’m okay.” he promises, but sounds far from it.

she can only stare at his growing wound, eyes wide and filled with traumatised tears when the rest of the group arrive, immediately acting and yanking the two of them apart to get to jj. kitty stares down at the body she disfigured, looking up to see rafe staring at the same thing as the group frantically patch up the blonde to the best of their abilities, yelling over eachother to make plans of an escape.

“you do that?” rafe drawls, unreadable.

she shudders, mouth opening to speak but nothing coming out. he softens slightly, reluctantly.

“did what you had to do, alright?” he eyes her, before busying himself with the team as they hoist jj onto his feet to carry him away.

Training genius meets the learning genius (and crack here)

A blank slate is presented to Gun in the form of you.

Someone specially sourced by Charles Choi with an exceptionally rare talent: a learning genius.

Elevated beyond that of even the copy ability, because to learn is to master and not just to piece together a cheap imitation.

He makes no secret that he is impressed.

"Oh?" you grin at him in between dodging his kicks, "You're still looking to do your GED?"

Gun nods, right before he launches a devastating attack that ends with you on your back.

The smile never leaves your eyes even as you wince in pain, "I can help tutor you!"

If someone was to ask how many pounds of pressure a Taekwondo back kick would exert, or if a fist was travelling at 20mph, how many ribs that would break - Gun would be able to answer you.

Well, more of a case he would give you a practical demonstration.

"Stop." He cuts you off as you're mid way explaining a theorem. Teetering between giving up on this completely or gritting his teeth and getting through this as a point of pride-

"Gun," you say, sensing his train of thought, hand reaching out to calm his bouncing leg, "I'm sorry, I'm not explaining this well." Your tone and face is sincere, " Let me try again."

Alas a training genius is not a learning genius, but after a few more attempts, you explaining and using a different angle each time, Gun gets it.

The obsession with you creeps up on him, initially going unnoticed due to the close quarters and sheer amount of time spent together.

And really, once it starts, Gun doesn't think anything of it. He has obsessed over others before, especially those that he believes are worthy of becoming his successor.

No-one though has exceeded his expectations quite like you.

Daydreams are for fantasists and stargazers, not someone that deals with the brutal reality of the world on a daily basis.

Despite this, thoughts of you and your potential run through Gun's mind. Morphing and evolving with each day spent together. At first focused on developing your fighting skills, then a new light shone on your relationship as you helped to tutor him.

Finally, he wonders what else he could teach you and he could learn from you.

Things come to a head when after a particularly gruelling sparring session, Gun asks if you wanted to grab something to eat after.

You freeze as you wipe the sweat from your brow. It takes a moment for his words to sink in and when they do, you turn around with a wide grin.

"Like a date?"

"...Like a date, yes."

Of course, you could tell.

You are the learning genius after all, and that includes learning all the nuances of Gun Park.

Gun's gaze softens when you nod in response.

I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT NINA!! anything you want to share about her, i want to collect

OOH OKAY ALRIGJT. (btw sorry this took a while i wrote up most of it days ago but The Tasks. you know how it is. here's a sketch for now)

so the thing about nina is that she is a really really old oc that i decided to revive over the summer to see what i could do with my current understanding of science and techmology so she doesn't really have an actual storyline. but here's some tidbits (under the cut because I have a lot to talk about). also warning for discussion of some unethical biomedical practices

- she's from kind of a cyberpunk dystopia where extreme human genetic alteration is possible (in embryos only ofc) but very very expensive because of not only the procedures needed to make an altered zygote but the resources required to incubate it for a full gestation period and because only some will end up viable the lab will have to create and incubate a carefully calculated number of embryos often with slight differences to ensure at least one will fully develop (this will be relevant i swear)

- so the technology is basically only available to the ultra rich

- nina was intended to have superficial birdlike features (think feathers instead of hair, high visual acuity, some minor skeletal alterations) but the lab done fucked up and she's much more bird than intended. im not an expert on emerging gene editing technology maybe the targeting sequences they used were a little off due to a glitch but you can see how she turned out

- the person who commissioned her didn't accept her and culling a fully developed altered human is well. murder. so she ended up in a care facility for rejected lab kids like herself

- she took way longer than a typical human child to start actually communicating when she talked but she was able to mimic words and phrases very very early. kind of creeped a lot of her caretakers out to greet her and hear their own slightly distorted voice repeat the greeting back from the mouth of a like two month old

- she eventually settled into her own voice but you could potentially identify the person who taught her some phrases if you knew them already. she's still a great mimic since she basically has a syrinx in there

- she struggles with verbal and written communication in general, a little better with body language at least for interpreting intentions/tone but different people can have very different body language ofc

- she also tends to be hyperactive (partly due to extremely high metabolism) and sort of impulsive

- incredible vision and spatial reasoning (those big bird eyes)

- technically with how large she is (about 4'3" if she could stand up straight without falling over and 70-80 lbs?) she shouldn't be able to fly but i ignore that

- remember how i said the duplicate embryos would be relevant well she has a secret not-quite twin another survivor from the same batch. idk how they got separated (remember i came up with the bones of this when i was like 10) but her twin had a messier life

- nina herself ended up as some kind of specialized government operative (cue booing) no she gets out of it in the end i swear

- the twin is a major figure in the conflict around rights for altered humans

- at some point the two of them meet and eventually join forces idk like i said there isn't a real story to this

- she has 2 fingers and the thumb free to move on each hand but they aren't very dextrous so she mainly uses her feet for fine motor tasks

- she also has difficulty emoting in a way that most humans can interpret due to the beak

- i have also made nina as a dnd character (her human parents gave her up to a monastery as an infant having frankly no idea what to do with her which she left as a teenager and became a highwayman as her appearance leads most potential benefactors to believe she's cursed) she has +5 dex and -1 con

Well i mean the wedding was organized by shuu - a very well educated ghoul with long family history so he must have known about ghoul tradition better than anyone else. And we barely know anything about ghoul tradition because they're likely to be different from group to group.

Anw, most of the ghouls celebrating there are the "civilized" ones, which means they lived with human and they were educated (Nishiki, Yomo). For my post I was talking about ghouls who distance themselves from human society like the Saeki family wouldn't know, or care about marriage or things like "respect your partner".

Another example I can think of it's Naki. In a Q&A section, Ishida Sui revealed that he doesn't know what a proposal is. And when Arata tried to propose to Hikari, he didn't know how to say it and he followed books and magazines.

Alrigjt sorry if i am bad at conveying it it's 1 AM in my place and Im super sleepy, but I want to say it yeah maybe some ghouls do have marriage tradition, but it's likely that the tokyo ghouls didn't know about it because they live in urban area with distinct different culture in each ward so the traditions probably lost through time. I imagine it would be hard to keep tradition as a ghoul because your parents might die when you're young so only ghouls who got educated by their family like Shuu would know about things like ghoul marriage. For the rest of them, they follow the human's custom or don't care about it at all.

How Kureo talked about ghoul mating may sound strange as the only ghoul marriage (they call themselves husband and wife) we know is Hinam's parents, Touka's parents and Shuu's parents. Until Torso's story came up and I realized that oh maybe some ghouls really did see their partner as their temporary mate.

We barely see any "married" ghoul couple, and "coincidentally" most of them are well-educated ones or live in human society. Mrs. Fueguchi likes Takatsuki Sen's books, Arata is so obsessed with human custom he tried to ask a ghoul to taste his miso soup and I don't need to say more about the Tsukiyama.

After all, marriage is a human concept, and most ghouls don't have legal papers, so there's no reason for ghouls to "get married".
