ok well i accidentally just read the whole Thirsty Sword Lesbians book. i like what the system is doing but i gotta admit i probably would be way more comfortable with it if i hadnt actually read all of the non-system bits. i get the very strong suspicion that the author and i would not get along

#do i appreciate what theyre trying to do #yes #do i think they do it well #...kind of.#its aggressive in ways that make me uncomfortable both because I Have Dealt With Many Reactionaries Who Talk Like This #and also because as a gay trans guy it makes me feel some type of way to see 'do they have to be lesbians' answered with #'you can be cishet if you want ig'#alongside like. transfeminine being defined + terfs being defined almost explicitly in their feelings on transfems #with zero mention in ANY of this about trans men #only transfems and a couple shoutouts to nonbinary folk #idk!#any one thing by itself would be whatever #but all of them together just make me deeply uncomfortable and like im not really welcome there #'do they have to be lesbians' 'hey its about general queer themes but you can be cishet if you want!' is just such. a particular answer #especially with the aggressiveness laced through other parts #and i understand why theyre probably doing that but. it still does not make me want to play this game #which is a shame bc the system and themes are good #yelling at the void
