BACKSTORY:

His Guardian, Scokex, sent him to ALNST as a “punishment” for not being able to sing like his brother -> made to shame, humiliate and eventually kill him

At “home” Scorkex would make Brandon watch ALNST and sing the songs that are being performed, and every time he failed (which was all the time) she’d lock him in The Closet.

On his first day at ANAKT, he met Cindy and Trix, who also don't like singing, and they became close friends

Unlike Cindy, who sees ALNST as something to love, Brandon sees ALNST as something to fear

Despite not being good at singing and not liking it, Brandon still works hard to be as good as his brother and live to see another day

Unfortunately, his best wasn't good enough and he was constantly abused by the teachers.

At first it was easy to deal with, but as the years went on he fell deeper and deeper into the hopelessness due to his lack of singing ability

Eventually it all became too much for him

Scorkex was furious with Brandon’s method of "escaping", so he paid Keeron to find "doctors" and turn him into a half-human half-alien zombie

Made it so he can sing and put him into ALNST Season 40

My Season 41 OCS (Monochrome)

I was inspired by Zen (@zerostyrant) and June (@junebluues) to make some season forty one ocs . . . they are a pair (I would say do not separate but they are separated lmao so)

Mori is Nyx's younger sister (the youngest of five) and a strange young woman

She is transfemme and she uses she/any pronouns

Her name is a reference to "memento mori" and her part of it means "death"

Her animal symbol would be the Eastern Indigo Snake, I think. Her Tarot Card is the Tower (for stormy times, awakening, and restlessness). Her solar symbol is a black hole, and her body symbol is the bones (because it is what is left behind in death and because it is the most resilient part of the body, the least fragile. also it's merely a framework, not much of anything on it's own)

She's bi, she doesn't really care but she has a preference for women (Memento was her first love. Funny how that went)

She is about 5'11'' and 140lbs (if I remember correctly).

She probably could qualify as a psychopath, due to her apathetic nature, lack of care when it comes to other people, she's an adrenaline junkie, she gets into fights, she likes making people cry just to get a reaction out of them- the only big "psychopathic" trait she doesn't really exhibit is the lying/charisma but that's because she doesn't care enough to lie to anyone. I wouldn't. say for she that she has psychopathy because I don't think I know enough about it. . .

Hello!! It is me, Rock, the guy behind @rockwgooglyeyes um yeah I decided to finally bite the bullet and make an alnst-oc specific blog because I have so many at this point 😔

Cam, Dian and Faisal's older sibling, might come up as well but that's not. set in stone. I just wanted to make this blog for easier organization but no one has any obligation to follow it or pay attention to it!

Character Inspo for Dian, Mori and Mento

Dian's is mostly unchanged but I did add Howl Movingcastle (or Howl Pendragon) as well as Wriothesley. I'll go in order from left to right, top to bottom. Howl is for aesthetic as well as flamboyance and general secrecy. Wrio (Genshin Impact) is for outfit, protectiveness, as well as his craftiness and secrecy, again. Sylvain (Fe3H) is for charisma, using humor as a means of deflection, as well as red hair/hairstyle. Kaworu Nagisa (Evangelion) is for his gayness mostly, I'll be honest, as well as the self-sacrifice and the secrecy. Aloy is for red hair, ferocity, and jack-of-all-trades quality, as well as amiability. Zagreus (Hades) is for wittiness, fire/ember symbolism, and foolhardiness.

Mori's was kind of tough because partially, I based her off of Nyx's appearance, but I didn't want to use Nyx as an inspo, because it was mostly just eye-shape, hair color and nose. So we've got Felix (Fe3H) for his eye color, his intimidation factor as well as his willingness to fight anyone and everyone. Rhea Ripley (WWE) was suggested by @zerostyrant and I'll be honest she's mostly vibes, she's a fighter, there's lesbianism there (she's popular with the lezzie community at least) so um yeah. Hu Tao (genshin) was kind of an out of pocket one but it's the penchant for trickery, being kind of unhinged, eye color, and long hair. Hyuna (ALNST) is mostly here for her energy, her trauma, the undercurrent of betrayal, and the vibes (again, another fighter). Catra (She-Ra Princesses of Power) is here for the lesbianism, the betrayal, long hair, fighting, and generally being an asshole. Reina (Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns) is here for the short/long hair combo (Mori has a long braid as well as her short hair) and the kind of intimidation factor/rude demeanor.

Okay so this one is going to seem the most unhinged but in my defense I only had two for her going into this. She is more based off of concepts than other characters ngl. Okay we've got Mercedes and Annette both from Fe3H, Annette for her hairstyles and Mercedes for her hair color and personality (Mercy is very kind, gentle, as well as being totally willing to go to town on a mf). Chrissy is a polly pocket she is here because I had one as a kid who came with a bear themed outfit and Mento has v similar vibes. Lillie is here for the frilly white dresses, being chronically underestimated, and the dark past. Umi from Up on Poppy Hill is here for the hairstyles, the kind of messed up past, and the generally hardworking attitude. Lisette (Story of Seasons) she is here because of hairstyle, blonde, and gives a cheery, kind disposition.

Smile by Lily Allen for Mori? This or They're Not Happy About Me are probably heavily just me reaching. But I just remembered about the iconic lyric, and it was playing along with They're Not Happy About Me and I'm like "Mori .."

But you can punch my sona if these really are just far reaching songs and don't fit her

Sorry it has taken me a bit to reply to this! I'm going to get to your other ones this evening, as well- but yeagh, god, Smile is extremely Mori, actually. "At first, when I see you cry, yeah, it makes me smile" is literally exactly Mori's likes in her profile, she enjoys making people cry because it amuses her.

The second verse is like, especially her. The song in general is very fitting for Mori but this part, the mentioning of how the subject messed up the singer's mental health, and how the subject will come back and beg for forgiveness but the singer *knows* that it's a lie. It's very evocative of the way that Mento tries to act like nothing happened after the incident while Mori can't forgive or forget.

If you mean the song "They're Not Happy About Me" by Gabriel Templar . . . the lyrics are very fitting for that one, as well. It's not a reach at all hehe! "People talking everywhere, and when they run I know they're scared, they're not happy about me" is accurate to the way that people treat Mori, talking around her and about her, rather than talking *to* her, as well as the repeated line of "you treat me like an animal." One line that is extremely her is the "'Cause I am the enemy I can do anything, I could be better so don't get ahead of me" which is just how she kind of thinks about most people hating her. She just doesn't care, haha.

heyyy!! hope everyone is doing well <3 just wanted to let y'all know that i am going to be doing an update on Memento's profile either later today or this weekend.

Mento is actually the pansexual one (Mori is a lesbian now) and her special talent is *not* tone modulation, that's Mori's special talent and i just forgot to change it like a dumbass. ironically not music related, Memento's special talent is medical training.

btw memento is still available for relationships (they're both available for friendships n stuff but mento is unattached romantically) if anyone is interested in her sopping wet cat energy lmao

yknow. yknow what. yeah actually this is pretty damn on point, kel.

Love being a poison, one that corrupts (drunk on your lovebug venom) and one that, despite the side-effects, the singer is unable to truly let go of. "Fuck, there's something calling me, begging on my knees to please, for you to keep me," is so utterly Mori, especially before she and Mento had their falling out . . . like Mento wasn't the greatest to her, even before the incident, but Mori had rose-colored glasses and she didn't want to believe that Mento didn't love her in return, instead keeping her around for her dogged devotion. "Kick me around, I'm your parasitic pawn," kind of encapsulates that dynamic, Mori getting something out of their one-sided relationship as much as Mento is, and being willing to brush off anything until she can't ignore it anymore.

The singer viewing themself as worthless and by extension, being unable to view other people as worth much of anything either (I've learned I'm nothing but meat, so it's only fair to treat you just like me, right?) is pretty damn close to one of the key reasons for Mori's own sociopathic-adjacent behavior, not necessarily viewing herself as a person and viewing other people as a way of amusing/entertaining herself.

OHHHH Luti . . . Luti, this is actually so fitting for her. Not only the vocal quality of the main singer (almost abrasive, sharp, strong) but the lyrics?? Fuck, man, this actually fits her a lot.

In the lines "Alone, feel it intoxicate you, you're gone, drown in the will of fate" I can feel the echoes of Mori's thoughts during Mento's betrayal, Mori's realization that for the first time, she was completely alone and on the edge of death, losing consciousness. Mento took care of Mori in the aftermath and when Mori woke up, she tried to ask why Mento did what she did- and Mento wouldn't answer (because there was no reason, none other than fear) and the lyrics "Care of hands of the ones that hate you, but it goes like that sometimes, you say. You are the thing they throw away" feel especially fitting for the aftermath of the incident. Mori is putting on a strong front but really, her self esteem and concept of self worth are plummeting into the ground.

While at the Garden and after graduation, the lyrics "Love it or lick it, and go and take it, now give it. I'll bite your tongue 'til it's missing and self destruct like a mission" are more or less what Mori has become, or at least, her presentation. She still views herself as dispensable and relatively worthless but she's stopped really caring about that, enjoying what little time she has before she's dead, flashing sharp teeth and wicked smiles.

The song in and of itself is so emblematic of her, to be honest. Vicious, taunting, the underlying feeling of fear and oppression, uuggh thank you so much for this Luti . . . it's on her playlist 😭
