Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Gossip Girl. and ig The Vampire Diaries. and that's it.#(that list is for shows almost exclusively produced by the CW. thinking about this girl i barely know who started drama with me for no reason a couple months ago and tried to turn all our mutual friends against me and now she’s mad at another friend for no reason and is being super shady to her and this friend told me “it’s like what happened with you all over again” … yeah funny how that works

hold on im still too mad at this one fucking guest to take a nap i need to be a hater for a minute
#so when i say hell on earth kinda day i mean HELL ON EARTH kinda day#we had a large bus travel group from slovakia and then some other guests and it was almost a hundred people for breakfast#the bus group all came at the same time they descended onto the buffet like fucking seagulls i swearrrrr#and i divided tasks like i had two helpers with me in the kitchen so one guys job was just to gather dirty dishes + washing + taking clean#ones back out#and the other guy running around the buffet checking whats needed + restockjng the cold food + telling me all the hot stuff that needs#refilling. so i was in the kitchen making all the hot foods on constant rotation + chopping fruits and making smoothies and shit#and like we managed. WE MANAGED. the buffet was never even half empty at any point like yes there was always something that was empty but#dude who cares if the vanilla yoghurt is empty for 5 mins just pick something else.#and everyone was happy with their breakfast and really nice when asking if we have more of this and that etc and then there was one lady#this ONE FUCKINGGGG lady i swear i almost threw hands#she was complaining about everythinggggggggggg#about there not being any more fried eggs (already in the pan. done in 2 mins. but when helper nr2 told her that she said well why did we#run put in the first place) about the bread station being full of crumbs like girl its BREAD. my giy was running up and down the buffet#wiping it off and cleaning as fast as he could but if you allow people to cut their own bread there will be fucking crumbs. the fuck.#then she also didnt like how the butter looked bc OBV people kept using the butter and no matter how many times you go in and make it look#neat again as soon as the next person takes some it will not look picture perfect anymore#like while i was running back and forth restocking stuff with my arms full she TOOK MY ARM and pointed at things and was like#'this looks shit' so does your fucking face but you dont see me getting physical about it#and then when i came out with a big tray of fresh glasses and cups she pointed to where someone had spilled some water at the dispenser and#went 'there is water on the buffet' (far away from any food + literally its just water) and i said 'yes i know' and she goes 'well it doesnt#look very appealing. this is the worst buffet ive ever seen' and i go 'well surely you have seen how busy we are' and she FUCKING GOES#'i dont care. i paid money for this.' and i go 'well that makes two of us for not caring. we'll get to it when we have the time.' and she#said something else idk what bc i was finished with my task and had SHIT TO DO BC PPL WERE STILL EATING#so i just turned and ran back to the kitchen to keep working#actually i got back to the kitchen and said to guy nr1 'i need to go punch something' and then went out the back and started kicking the#shit out of a pile of paper boxes and THEN i continued working#and then she started TAKING PICTURES of everything she didnt like of the buffet like full offense i hope she gets hit by a bus#like with some people you can just tell they never worked a day in the service industry and no matter what you do theyll keep complaining#anyways :) tag limit. apparently. so its nap time now. honk shoo snork mimimi and so forth <3

I don’t know what the release status will be of my Komyoji and Saotome family essay since a lot of people still need to read it-plus if I do another long form post on here it should be another damn lyric analysis on deep red or burn the run cause I’m slacking 💀-before I can really finalize it but one thing I do have to spoil about it is I’m low key sad after seeing how Mitsuko was handled that New Michiru feels less like a improvement of her character and just “she’s different because she felt like it ig??”
I don’t wanna downplay New Michiru as is she still the first iteration since toei of her to be an actual character? Absolutely, but I feel selling her as the best iteration is a little much when the writers didn’t use her enough in the story since she still is JUST a supporting character who doesn’t really get a character arc and also her personality being changed doesn’t really give her any benefits. Like don’t get me wrong Michiru being mean is FUN, but it feels like it was only done to give her more of a personality then uwu nice girl even though Mitsuko demonstrates you can still make that archetype compelling. But ultimately her being meaner also serves her from being less forgettable cause otherwise she barely needs to be in this story, like you can sadly take her out of New and not a whole lot would actually change.

#meg text#new getter robo#michiru saotome#character rambles#i will say maybe when I rewatch new because it’s been awhile I’ll feel better about her but also like- yeah no Mitsuko just better sorry#I hate comparing them cause they DO have their differences but also like they fit the same EXACT archetype so the comparison is fair#heck even compared to mecha 70s girl outside of toei Michiru legit struggles as much as SAYAKA#you know it’s bad when jeeg only got two adaptations but they made Miwa more important in shin + Tsubaki the new girl is good#Also I love getter I legit hate being critical of it cause its flaws are outweighed by what it does right#but also I can’t deny its- not perfect with character balancing even if the characters it let shine are compelling#I low key understand after thinking about Michiru why some people prefer arma in the character regard#cause debatably while armas character development is iffy to say the least almost every character GETS something#unironically Michiru being a plot device is the most important she’s been even if she’s not a character 💔#Gai is the only character in arma who gets nothing but literally everyone else is significant#meanwhile New it’s- yeah it’s kinda just the Ryoma show ™️ with some Hayato sprinkled in#and Tatsuhito haunts the narrative#Musashibo is still kinda significant but they didn’t give him a character arc really#I think new is mainly good if you watched arma and wanted more from ryoma but for the other characters it’s iffy#and I wouldn’t say “they didn’t have enough time” cause Kikaider is basically the same length yet lets each of its characters have stuff#it’s really about who you focus screen time too ultimately and Kikaider did it well despite having one ep fill up space (the recap)#though I know once I rewatch new I’ll be mentally destroyed cause of Ryomas arc so I’m not calling it bad#it’s still hugely underrated but now that I think about it more I get why some people like arma more despite its messy story#people who say new sucks for the art are always weak tho

Way back when, browsing DeviantArt as a teenager, I ended up discovering a DA group dedicated to defending male characters. Not a bad idea in theory...but I'm guessing the group's founder really didn't like GIR from Invader Zim, as several arguments just boiled down to 'At least [x character] isn't GIR!'
Yeah, I'll admit that GIR is kind of an overrated character, as anyone who went into a Hot Topic in the early 2000s (as in 2000-2009) can attest to, but when you use that argument for Cheese, of all characters:

what a day filled with emotions so regular for winnie
#at least i went to sundar kand and did aarti while almost tearing up#also learnt koi saga nahi hai lol this was my last thread#snapped today had 2 breakdowns#went to a temple and mart with bcg to realize he is the only one for me in college (i was trying to be a girl's girl but fuck everyone suck)#lighted up diyas in hostel invited vc their wives and most powerful authority and cracked a joke straight to one's face 🤡💀#did aarti clicked pics i looked so pretty it felt so diwali#no matter how pathetic i get now ive learnt no one cares enough to save you#even they care they can't save me so its up to me if i go to bed crying or satisfaction#just grateful enough at least ive god with me#and mom and bcg#and its more than i could ask for
