Alma LeFay Peregrine/Symbiote!Venom!Male!Reader Headcanons
Just pretend your a loop helper or something that the council sent to Alma
There's some headcanons of the kids too
Headcanon prompt(s): You get sent by the council to help Alma and her children, you knew her from some other place and she has an itty bitty crush on you too, some random
The day you were set to come help Alma she got her wards all ready and lined up to meet you in the living room
She was more stern than usual that day because she wanted to make a good impression on you
"Children, we will have a Loop Helper coming for a few years, and I need all of you to be on your best behavior."
"Miss Peregrine, why do you look so flustered today? Will he be mean?"
"No, Claire, but we still need to be good."
Emma caught on really quickly to her crush on you and visa versa
The second you walk in it's all hugs
Alma looked a bit annoyed at your sudden sense of love in front of her children but yk she'll get over it
Abe giggled and Emma slapped him in the back of the head and then led him and the others away
"Leave them be, Enoch! It's not your business."
"They seem to be getting on well."
"Your mocking tone of voice says your not enjoying Miss Peregrine being happy. Why is that?"
"I don't like seeing anyone happy, Emma."
Enoch is your biggest hater
Even whenever you've tried to bond with him by helping with clay figures or Venom trying to talk to him it didn't work.
Speaking of Venom, one day he comes out in front of the kids at dinner and just absolutely devours a raw steak or something and everyone's flabbergasted
"What is that thing?"
"Who not what."
"I didn't ask what; I asked what is that thing!"
Venom scares Enoch and not Claire
CLAIRE LOVES YOU SO MUCH AND SHE TRIES TO SPEND LITERALLY EVERY SECOND WITH YOU
She will follow you around the grounds while your helping out with chores or cooking and help you help them
"Mister, do you need any help?"
"Thank you but not right now. You can call me M/N also, Claire."
"What do I call your other guy?"
"Venom."
"So you're like a snake?"
You like to tend to the plants with Fiona and Miss Peregrine likes to watch you from afar
She just really likes seeing her (boy)friend bond with her kids
Ending notes: Okay this was rushed but I still like it so it's being posted

💙Happy Anniversary
Pairing: Alma Lefay Peregrine x Fem Lector
Author's Note: Request made by MilagrosLucero072, this request was made on Nov 22 and let's just say it took me a little while to do it...*-*.
Number of words: 1579
~Master list~
One-shot
Wattpad
There were rare occasions when you had to go to town, as usually the house was self-sustaining, but on this occasion you needed to get some things for your anniversary with Alma, the problem was that she had to go with you. Initially you were not in the Peregrine loop, so the locals had not treated you in the most welcoming way and to avoid incidents like that, Alma would accompany you every time you went to town.
-You don't have to do this,- you tell the woman, putting an arm around her back.
-I don't want a repeat of what happened last time,- giving you a smile.
To put them in context, the last time you tried to leave without Soul, you decided to use your peculiarity, which is similar to Millard's, instead you can do it at will, only someone saw you and well... nothing good came out of it. You could say that many people died that day because of what happened.
You stop in front of a store and ask Alma to stay outside, a few weeks ago you had sneaked out during the night to look for a worthy gift for the ymbryne, then you found it, a beautiful pocket watch.
-Good morning,- you greet the old man behind the bar.
-Good morning miss, how can I help you,- he asks kindly.
-I would like to buy the pocket watch,- you answer pointing to the one you want.
The man hesitates a little before following your request.
-May I know who is the lucky man who deserves something like this?- he asks packing the object.
-It's for my wife,- taking the small box and handing him the exact money for the watch.
You leave the store leaving behind a man quite surprised by your confession and finding your beloved.
-Do you have what you needed?
-I do.- Showing a wide smile
-Okay, then we can go back to the house,- placing his hand on your lower back.
-I thought we could go to the bakery,- you suggest, knowing that the children needed more time.
-I'm fine with that,- starting to walk towards the store.
Once there, you meet the woman who runs the bakery, but you regret your decision when you realize who is there.
-Good morning Miss Peregrine,- greets the man with a flirtatious smile.
-Good morning,- replies the ymbryne, offering him a smile.
-Who are you?- asks the man with disgust.
-Y/n is a friend who came to visit us,- answers Alma being polite.
-Иди на хуй, идиотка, она моя -(fuck you asshole she's mine).
-What's that?
-Says it's nice to meet you- elbowing you in the ribs.
They come out with bread in their hands and Alma confronts you about what happened inside.
-I hate that I can't show openly how I feel because outside the house, then no one knows we are married and they think you are available. -You think I don't want to do it too, that it doesn't hurt me not to be able to kiss you in public, I wish our time was like that about us- taking your hand to go back home
- - - -
The children had tidied up the house while they were away to celebrate their anniversary and honestly the day had gone by pretty fast, Peregrine loved your gift exchanging her old pocket watch for the one you gave her, but there was still one last gift that could only be given in the privacy of her room.
-Y/n...Where have you been?- the ymbryne asks the air as she enters her shared room.
Suddenly a pair of arms encircle the woman's body, taking her a little by surprise.
-Here I am,- you say, resting your head on her shoulder.
-I was looking for you while I put the children to bed,- turning around in your arms to face you.
-I was preparing something,- carefully taking her face and placing a chaste kiss on her lips.
-What is it, may I ask?- with his hands snaking inside your open shirt.
-Come with me,- leading her into the bathroom where the bathtub is ready with some candles and bath salts.
-This is perfect,- she says with a smile as you help them take off their clothes.
Alma gets into the bathtub and sits on one side of it to watch your every move while you take off your clothes, until you are completely naked and get comfortable behind her.
-This feels good,- Peregrine says with a moan as she settles herself on your body.
-You deserve the best, honey,- leaving a kiss on her shoulder.
You start washing her hair, massaging her scalp, after having kept that hairstyle all day, you continue with her back, massaging the pressure points, receiving a moan in return.
-You've been so stressed lately,- you say in her ear, seeing her close her eyes.
-Mmmhhh,- she lets go, taking your hand that is on her waist.
-Every day you do your best to take care of the children,- intertwining your fingers with hers.
Your other hand begins to roam her body, every curve, birthmark, scars that represent her battles.
-Let me take care of you sweetheart,- planting a kiss on her shoulder.
-Please..,- she says, releasing your hand and guiding it to her legs.
Her breath catches as your fingers find her core, you comb her hair back with your other hand to leave a kiss on the nape of her neck. Alma couldn't help but move her hips forward to meet your touch, her breath caught as you began to slowly and gently circle her clit.
-Do you like it?
Another moan was her only response, ending with a sharp inhale as you slid two fingers inside her, making you swallow a moan at how tight and warm she was.
-You're doing great,- you breathed, leaving a kiss on her shoulder.
Her hips began to roll to assist and guide your movements.
At one point Alma let out a noise that started as a moan and ended in a sob. Moving her hips harder and faster, dropping her head on your shoulder.
-Y/n...
You pushed another finger inside, pulling another moan from Alma, she was breathing fast in your ear, clinging to the sides of the tub
-You look so beautiful like that honey- murmuring in her ear making her come undone.
You pushed your fingers deeper as she squeezed them and her body arched against yours, stealing your breath. Your teeth sank into her lower lip and drawing a little blood.
You helped her down from her height, whispering words of love in her ear, splashing kisses on the skin you reach.
-What do you say we take this to bed?,- Peregrine asks, turning to look at you
-Okay, the water's getting cold anyway,- helping Alma out of the tub.
As soon as you finish drying your body, you have Alma on top of you claiming your lips in a kiss full of passion, you take her face while you savor Alma swallowing a moan from her, while you move both of them to get to the bed.
Pushing Peregrine onto the bed, staying there for a moment to admire the woman you had decided to share your life with.
-What?
-You're fucking beautiful
The ymbryne was very particular about vocabulary, but in the bedroom things were different. You dreadlocks down Alma's body splashing kisses your way until you settled between her legs, making her move her hips instinctively towards you.
You left a kiss on her belly and pushed her hips down.
-I've got you
Rubbing slow, lazy circles with your thumb over her clit, little sighs came from the ymbryne trying to keep as quiet as possible, after a few moments, you pressed your thumbtip firmly over her center, making her squirm beneath you.
You slid the pads of two fingers up and down her center, between her folds, teasing her entrance.
-Stop teasing,- she reproaches, looking at you angrily.
You can't help but laugh at her words and turn away from her completely.
-I have to remind you who's in charge, sweetheart,- taking her jaw to look at you.
There were no words to describe how much Peregrine loved it when you were dominant with her, for a woman who was in charge of a house full of children, being in charge in the bedroom was not something she wanted to do.
-No,- you reply, pulling her thigh together to get some relief.
-Good girl- caressing her cheek lovingly.
After returning to your place between her legs, you teased her some more, you slowly pushed two fingers inside her and curved them. The sounds coming out of her mouth were heavenly, a sound that very few people had the joy of hearing.
You kissed and nibbled the inside of her thighs, a hand in your hair guided you to where she needed you most.
Your tongue begins to lick her moist folds as you gaze into her eyes, though your view is blocked repeatedly every few seconds by her rapidly rising and falling chest.
-Fuck...- she sighs as you speed up the rhythm of your tongue.
-Please... don't stop,- she begs, wiggling her hips.
You could feel her walls tighten around your fingers and you knew it wouldn't take long for her to cum, her back arches at the amount of pleasure she is receiving, her knuckles turn white from the tight grip they have on the sheets as she is pounded by her orgasm.
When Alma caught her breath again, her cheeks were turning a beautiful pink color as you took care of wiping away every last drop of her juices.
-Here, honey,- handing her a glass of water found on the bedside table.
-Thank you,- patting the spot next to her.
She immediately snuggled up to you with a sigh of contentment, with a little giggle you planted a kiss in her hair.
-Happy Anniversary

dating Alma LeFay Peregrine would include...
Requested by anon
Being her assistant in the loop
She had realized she could use some help taking care of the kids, so she hired you
The two of you calling each other “ms. Peregrine” and “ms. L/n” at first
You being the first one to actually get to know Enoch well
Literally becoming his best friend even though you were supposed to be his babysitter
Making small clay soldiers to prank Alma, even though you’d never admit that you took part in it when she asked
“Me? Prank you? I’d never”
Becoming closer when she once asked you to drink some wine with her in her office
Talking all night by the fireplace
Her telling you to call her Alma from now on
Working together for almost three years before falling in love, mostly because she was scared of commitments
Telling her you love her during one of the resets
Resulting in her almost not resetting the loop correctly
“You really had to tell me now?”
Kissing right after (when the kids were asleep of course, Miss Peregrine still has some self respect)
Not showing much pda when the kids were around, because it was “inappropriate”
Usually having small dinner dates at her office, drinking wine and eating some nice salad or steak
Her loving to tuck your hair behind your ear
“I like seeing your face, it’s beautiful”
The kids figuring out your relationship quite early and teasing you about it
“Miss peregrine and y/n are in lo-oh-ove!” “Stop it, children! That is very rude to shout out loud”
You calming her down because it didn’t really bother you that much, they were kids after all
“I suppose you’re right”

╚═════ஓ๑♥๑ஓ═════╝
It was a peaceful day. The sun is shining brightly on the horizon, the sounds of her children playing in the backyard, and the pleasant aroma of tea wafting in the air.
Alma sips her tea as she relaxes back into her seat. It is quite rare for her to have time to think, especially with all the ruckus her children and her lover who acts like a child, made.
"WHY ARE YOU BEING SUCH A JERK?!"
Alma perks up as she hears Olive's voice coming from outside, which is then followed by the distinct smell of smoke. Olive never shouts like that unless-
"Well, if you weren't such a bitch, I wouldn't have to take such drastic measures"
There it is. Olive never shouts so explosively like that unless it was you she’s arguing with.
Alma squeezes her eyes shut, annoyed at the squabbling. As soon as she heard the tearing of clothes, she immediately began to walk toward the escalating argument.
Shades of green, brown, red, orange, and gray invade her vision as she walks out of the house only to witness you in your lion form, your clothes lay tattered on the grass field as Olive's hand produces stronger flames, creating thicker smoke.
"Enough! Both of you!" She interrupts, weaving her hand through your mane and tugging hard, making you whine as you moved to the direction she’s tugging in order for you to lessen the pain
"All this blabbering and shouting like some vendor on the street is not going to help you understand each other. Besides, how would you argue with Olive if you're in your lion form? All you can do is make noises. And Olive, the fumes from your flames would overwhelm Y/N’s senses! This is irrational and immature. Squawk-" you blinked your eyes in surprise, snapping out of your guilty face as you prance behind Olive to hide your laughing face.
She only stood beside you and placed her hand on your head, holding you in place, as you both stared down at the small form of your headmistress, your previous argument long forgotten.
You scoffed out a laugh as the peregrine falcon chittered on as if scolding, her stance imitating that of a human with her hands on her hips.
“Mi- Miss Peregrine, we- pfft- we can’t understand you” Olive managed to speak in between laughs
She let out an exasperated chirp as she flies over to your fluffy head, settled herself in your fur, and closed her eyes
You huffed as if annoyed and pranced inside the house, sniffing for Emma’s scent, the girl always knew what to do and you always turned to her whenever something peculiar happens
“You truly are fit to be an animal. You should just stay like that forever.” Olive teased, making you playfully lunge at her, toppling her over and licking her face
You then felt sharp claws digging into your fur, it seems that Alma is still annoyed at you, given the fact that she’s tugging on your fur right now.
“Olive! Have you seen-” Emma blinked in disbelief, her mouth agape at the sight of you on top of Olive, her red hair inside your mouth while she had her left hand tugging your mane and her right hand pushing your head away. Your tail was swaying from side to side in happiness
“Where is Miss Peregrine when you need her,” Emma mumbled, moving towards the both of you to separate you two.
A loud chirp interrupted Emma, flying over to perch on her shoulder, her gaze piercing the both of you.
“Sorry Miss Peregrine.” Olive apologized, standing up once your huge paws are off her.
You nodded along with her, walking towards Emma, nudging her hand. Silently asking her if she can get clothes for you.
“I’ll take care of Y/N, Olive, Emma. Start working on dinner. I’ll be there shortly.” she then turns to you with a pointed look that made you look at the floor
“I got it.”
“Emma.” Alma’s voice rang out, she was back in her usual pristine state, one hand tucked into her pocket as her other held her pipe. You didn’t even notice her turning back
“Look at me.” She says sternly
You quickly shifted into your wolf form and looked up to her with puppy eyes
“That’s not gonna work on me, darling. Come.” She says, doing the come hither motion before turning on her heel and walking towards your room.
You whined, choosing to walk beside her so you could feel her warm hand against your fur, her sharp nails barely scratching the skin under the fur. You tilted your head back, looking up at her. Her lips were wrapped around that pipe of hers, her hands twitching as if itching to have something to fiddle with. You should know, one of them is twitching in your fur. You huffed out a laugh before thumping her with your large bushy tail.
You finally arrived in your room, with Alma twisting the door open, you shifted into your regular, human form, naked. You looked over your shoulder, hoping to get a reaction out of your lover, yet her face remained calm, and void of emotions. You would’ve fallen for it, had you not seen the red tint coating her ears. How cute.
“You can check your timepiece, darling. You look constipated.” You chuckled, earning you the nth sharp glare this day.
“And you should get clothes on.” She huffed out, pushing you into the bathroom, handing you clothes you didn’t even know she took from your dresser.
You smiled fondly. You met Alma while she was traveling with Emma, the girl being the first peculiar under the newly graduated Ymbryne. You followed them while posing as a stray dog until a bird landed on your head while you were guarding the inn they were staying in. You tried shaking it off, but it just dug its claws in your matted fur, which annoyed you but you couldn’t do anything.
That was if you were a regular dog. You looked around to make sure that no one was around and shifted into your human form, plucking the bird out of your head before shifting back. All of it happened within a minute, you were quite proud of yourself for that.
Until the bird also shifted into the very woman you had been following for weeks now. She smiled warmly, introducing herself as Alma LeFay Peregrine, a Ymbryne who’s on a journey to gather up peculiar children in order to protect them. You would’ve introduced yourself, had you had time to shift back. She scooped you up in her arms and scolded you as she walked towards the noisy inn. Emma was waiting there, holding a towel with a bright smile. And there you knew, you just knew, that you would be with them, for a very, very long time. Forever, should fate let you.
“Alma~” You cooed, slamming the door open once you’re finished with your little flashback and also with clothing yourself.
“You took longer than you should’ve, are you perhaps not feeling well darling?” She cradles your face into her hands, smoke gets puffed towards your face as you smiled at her affectionately
“I’m actually feeling well. I’m feeling well in love with you.” You grinned, taking one of her hands and pressing your lips to her palm, relishing the way her face slowly turned into a rose
“Cheeky.” She humphed, hiding her face in your chest
“You’re so cute my sweet bird.” You cooed, softly prying her off and staring at her gem-like eyes, which sparkles with happiness and adoration
Both of you widen your eyes, staring at each other unblinking at first, before giggling like teenagers.
“I love you”
“I love you”
“I guess we’re at that stage of our relationship eh?” You touched her nose with yours, still astounded at the sight of her eyelashes, and her eyes which held such adoration. Even after years of seeing her every single day, you still get your breath taken by her beauty. There was no one who could ever surpass your Alma’s elegance and beauty.
“It would seem that way, my love.” She whispered, looping her arms around her neck, pulling you closer until your lips are an inch apart.
“Alma.” You whispered her name, one of your many, many ways to seek permission from the headmistress
“Kiss me.”
And so you did. Oh, how you missed her lips, how you missed her.
You miss her every second you spend away from her touch, and now that your hands are on her waist, gripping as if afraid that the moment you let go, she’ll vanish like cotton candy submerged in water. Now that her hands tangle themselves into your hair, your hearts are beating in sync as you share these affectionate moments with each other.
There was nothing sexual about this intense kiss, just pure, unfiltered love and adoration. The kind of love that doesn’t cage, rather it anchors. The kind of love that makes you feel like you’ve suddenly been transferred to space, out of breath, yet oh so satisfied.
Or not. You’ll never be satisfied when it comes to her. You can never get enough of her. Especially when she pulls away. Just like now
You chase after her once she pulls away only for her to place her pointer finger to stop you. You pouted, making her chuckle
“Shh, my love. We have left the children alone for far too long.” She reasons as she faces the mirror you have and fixes her ruined lipstick and hair.
“Besides, I think I have spoiled you enough for today, cheeky little thing.” She smiles at you before taking a hold of your hand and dragging you out of the room.
You just let out a huff and followed her despite your lingering objections.
“Behave. And maybe you’ll get a reward.” She smirks at you, with an eyebrow quirked up once both of you approached the kitchen
“Out of curiosity, what does behaving entail?” You grinned
She gave you a pointed look before swiftly entering the pleasant-smelling kitchen, with Emma manning it. Alma puts on an apron all the while taking over Emma in stirring whatever it is in the pot.
You shook your head, still smiling as you take the plates that are in Olive’s hands and helped the redhead with setting up the table for supper.
Perhaps you’ll behave for the remainder of today. What’s a few hours of behaving anyway, surely you can do that. You’re not some unruly child after all.
“Whipped.” Olive whispers making your fingers twitch
Behave, Behave, Behave, Beha- fuck it
What Alma doesn’t know, won’t hurt her.
“Y/N!”
You take that back, Alma LeFay Peregrine knows everything.
And maybe that's not such a bad thing.

Not everything is forever
Hi! This is my first fanfic, and since my language is not English, I just ask for your patience. This is pure angst (I know, not a good way to start), but, I hope you find it…interesting?
warnings: Sad ending
word count: 2.1 K
pairing: Alma LeFay Peregrine x Reader
prompt: Y/N had had to leave the loop; shedidn't want to sit idly by when millions of Peculiars died at Barron's hands.
Alma disagreed, but she knew neither wind nor tide would change her love's mind. Y/N promised to come back, but what happens when things don't go the way Y/N planned?
Alma remembers her past with Y/N, and is terrified of their next meeting.
Requests: OPEN
[Main masterlist] [Eva Green characters]
My brain was totally focused on the sound of the clock hands going so slowly, but at the same time, going so fast. I was so focused on the sound, on the anxiety in my chest, that for a moment the commotion of the children seemed so far away, until Claire's voice calling my name snapped me out of my trance.
"Miss Peregrine?"
"Yes darling?"
"So... Y/N coming back?"
The letter in my hand said yes, Y/N would be back, after 6 years, but she had promised the same thing 4 years ago, what would be different this time?
Apparently my silence only created expectation in the children, so I had to decide, tell them, so that in the end they end up disappointed? Or would you simply say nothing to them?
"She says she'd love to come, but she's still busy, saving the world."
I gave them a smile, though my heart broke at the sight of the long faces
"Let's face it, Y/N got tired of us. The first chance he got, he left
"That's not true!" Bronwyn yelled.
"Enoch!" Emma banged her cutlery against the table
"Enoch, I will not tolerate such comments, you make one again, and you will have to retire to your room without dinner."
Enoch simply frowned and stuffed his mouth with a large mouthful
"I'd like to see Y/N again, I miss her so much," Claire complained again
"I promise to talk to her in the week"
I gave them a smile, trying to calm the children. Which I was able to do, even for a little while.
——————————————————————————-
We continue with our routine, doing the restart, and tucking in the little ones. I went back downstairs to find Emma reading the letter Y/N had sent
"Do you think she will come now?"
"I doubt it very much, Emma"
"I hope so, we deserve an explanation" I only dared to nod, knowing that if I spoke my voice would cut off "I'm going to bed, good night miss"
"Good night Emma."
I stayed alone in the room again, as always, I was used to being alone at night, but I no longer wait for Y/N to return, I just dedicate myself to remembering her... to reminding us
I remember the first time I saw her, I thought she was the most beautiful woman on the planet, of course, it's not like I get to see other women, or people.
He had beautiful brown deer eyes, but he was a scared little deer; she was understandable, she had just stumbled onto an unknown island, aimlessly, obviously scared that Emma and Olive are waiting for her.
We introduced ourselves and shook hands; her skin was a little more tanned than mine, and she had an odd texture, mixing softness with some calluses, from hard-working hands.
Her name was Y/N, she was around 25 years old and an orphan. Her peculiarity was her extrasensory perception, and she discovered it when she was 8 years old, when she realized that there was a flame burning in the kitchen of the orphanage, avoiding a catastrophe.
It was impressive, very useful for a world full of Hollowgasts.
And suddenly, the second war broke out, and with it, the arrival of Abe and the creation of a permanent loop; It wasn't the only thing that the war brought, it also brought a new feeling between Y/N and I, we went from being strangers to lovers.
But at some point, the consequences of the war would enter our little paradise...
——————————————————————————-
Months passed, and before I knew it, the date that was written on Y/N's letter had arrived, so I sent Olive and Emma to the beach, just to get the doubt out of my head. While they were away, the rest of us dedicated ourselves to completing the tasks.
While I was making the dough for a pie, out of the corner of my eye, I saw how Olive ran through the garden until she entered the house, until she reached my side
"Miss Peregrine, Y/N is here"
The mass fell abruptly on the table.
"What?"
“Yes, Emma is with her. They're coming here, but Emma told me that she had to let him know”
"Thank you Olive."
I barely whispered, but that seemed like more than enough for the redhead to run off to meet her old friend.
I could not believe it, the person who years ago, called the love of my life, returned, after 6 years of complete absence, 6 years after his farewell letter.
How would she be now? She always hated her hair color, has she changed it? Was she living in another loop or in the world outside of the peculiar?
"Y/N!"
The cry of excitement from the little ones interrupted my thoughts; I quickly put my head out the window, seeing how a long, thin figure carried Claire, while the others ran to meet her.
I wiped my hands on my apron, and started walking to the yard, only to find all the kids lying on the ground, on what I'm guessing is Y/N's figure.
"Children, I think it would be wise for you to let Miss Y/L/N breathe."
The kids pouted but got up, leaving Y/N to get up and brush the grass off his pants.
"Miss Peregrine... it's nice to see you again."
My eyes collided with his. I thought I was psychologically prepared to see her again, but when her chocolate-colored seas looked at me, I felt everything again, that love that I thought I had buried, but I also felt that rage, that desire to kill her when I announced her departure from the loop
"You can't be saying this, Y/N, stop messing around!"
“I'm not playing Alma; I'm not going to let one of our sons go to war alone, not when I can help him."
"NO ONE IS GOING!"
"Alma, darling, please."
Tears blurred my vision, while the contained sobs closed my throat and made my body give little jumps.
"Oh honey come here" his arms wrapped around my body as he ran his hand down my back. I hid my head in her neck, not caring if it stained her neat white shirt. "please don't cry, you have to understand me"
"I understand you, because I know you have the purest heart" our foreheads collided, while Y/N smiled at me and kissed my nose "that was one of the many reasons why I fell in love with you" I sobbed again
"Come on, little bird, it will be for a short time; when you least know it, I will be home again"
I laughed at the nickname; Y/N loved seeing how the red color went up my cheeks every time he complimented my bird form
"I hope so" I gave him a small kiss on the lips "because if not, you could sleep on the sofa"
We both let out a laugh, while we continued in the arms of the other
"Miss Y/L/N, it's nice to see you again."
As the smaller kids started trying to get Y/N's attention, Emma, Olive, Horace, and Millard just kept glancing at me and then Y/N, like a game of tennis.
"Children, I'm sorry to cut off your hopes of a good hour of games, but, I'm starving, and if you don't mind, Miss Peregrine" her head lowered, but she was trying to meet my eyes, almost sadly "I'd like to have dinner
"Sure, dinner is almost ready. If you want, you can set the table"
As the children began to prepare for dinner, I hurriedly prepared the pie; knowing the kids, they would be so excited about Y/N's arrival that they would even forget to eat, which would give me time to get the pie ready.
The meatloaf, the mashed potatoes and the salad were placed on the table, and quickly, both the children and Y/N served themselves and began to eat in complete silence; Y/N seemed to realize it
"Come on guys, I know you want to ask, ask"
"One by one, I don't want to hear more than 3 questions at once" I hurried to put order
"Have you seen Abe?" Emma asked.
"No, I haven't had the chance, but he's made sure to send me letters regularly, just like you guys."
"Have you lived in other loops?" Millard asked now.
"Yes, I've been living in a loop in New York, set in 1926. It seems evil doesn't stop knocking on New York doors." She winked at him.
"Why didn't you come back?" Enoch asked with a raised eyebrow.
Y/N's gaze landed on me, while I tried to look away, feeling the tears gather in my eyes again and my heart squeezed even more.
"I met someone"
June 19, 1944
New York, EE. UU.
Alma
To say that it costs me my life and more, writing this is a lot. I know you must be asking yourself, why am I sending a letter and not knocking on the door? And the answer is so easy and so painful at the same time.
Do you remember that you always told me that I had a heart too pure to be healthy and that I had always put the happiness of others before my own? I want to tell you, that my hero complex shone again.
Abe asked me to go to the Miss Crane circuit, New York 1926, and I met someone... one of his older students, Miss Alison, who surprisingly has the same quirk as me, and she wanted me to help her. control it; I thought I wouldn't be there for a week, and before I knew it, a month had passed and I had fallen in love with Alison.
You and I know that something broke when I left. The rejection you showed me, the sharp voice in the few calls I made... Alma, what we had was going to die, today or in the future.
It hurts me, it hurts me to say goodbye like this, because I know you deserve better, the children deserve better than a few simple letters, but the war prevents me from going there.
I appreciate everything, darling. From welcoming me into your home, making me feel comfortable, helping me control my power, loving me, giving me spectacular children. Thanks for everything.
Before I stain the page even more with my tears, I will say goodbye, begging for your forgiveness and hoping that one day we can meet again.
PS: The letters are for each of the children, saying goodbye personally, I would appreciate it if you help them understand
See you forever
Y/N
"Let's remember that Miss Peregrine doesn't like to discuss unpleasant topics." Y/N didn't take her eyes off my face, trying to read my anguished face
"But Miss Pere...
"Enoch. I said no"
The dinner continued without interruption, with stories about how Y/N battled "the villains" during his stay in real time.
The chronology went on without interruption, until all the kids went to sleep, leaving Y/N and me alone.
"Why didn't you ever give them the letters?"
Y/N sat on the couch across from the chair he was in, searching for answers.
"Did you really think that I would give them a piece of paper where you explain that you abandoned them? A paper that would break their hearts?" Tears began to cloud my vision
"And you think it was a better idea not to tell them anything?"
I know if it hadn't been for the kids, Y/N would be so upset she'd start screaming.
"I didn't think clearly!" I started to cry, so I hid my face in my hands "It's all your fault! If you had never left, this would never have happened..."
"I know! For more than a year, I felt so guilty that I even thought about going back, but my happiness comes before yours, Alma; I know that if I had never escaped from the orphanage we would never have met."
I couldn't even answer him, but my crying intensified, but through my fingers, I could tell that Y/N had also started crying
"It was a bad idea to come." She started to get her things.
While she did, I tried to stop my crying and start fixing the possible smudged mascara on my cheeks.
Y/N walked to the doorway, only to be stopped by my soft whisper.
"I'm sorry"
She looked at me, wiping her tears
“I'm even more sorry. Forgive me and excuse me with the children.
She left, closing the door forever. Closing the door of my heart, to take it along with her
"I love you" I cried again, regardless of me, already ruined makeup "I love you, it doesn't matter if you don't love me anymore."

Her Lover
Alma LeFay Peregrine x fem!reader
Warnings: abuse, swearing, death, fluff, angst
Words: 5k
A/N: it’s been a while, hasn’t it. Lol. I’ve been having my exams and shit and I’ve been working on this for the longest time so I’m really sorry if there’s a word that’s not supposed to be there, I don’t really proof read. But hopefully more stuff shall be coming soon. Ta ta! Xx
Jake was surprised, it was all real. What his grandfather had told him, all those stories. They were real. It was unbelievable. At first, when he saw the boomed children's home he didn't really believe it. As that man said at the pub. 3 September 1943. No one survived, but then how come Miss Peregrine's letter had only come 2 years before to his grandfather. How was that even possible?
When we first entered the loop, he of course ran away and nearly got himself killed. Thankfully his new friends saved him from those angry Walsh people. The house looked so different from those ruins he saw. It was actually a very beautiful house. Big and tall and all those flowers growing up on the sides. Completely different.
Miss Peregrine wasn't anything like he'd expected. Not at all, despite from all the stories he'd got from his grandfather. Apparently she was the bird flying above him and his father when they first arrived to Cairnholm. Ever since Jake arrived, he'd notice that on the bird's right hand, her ring finger. There was a small ring with a single diamond. Jake knew it wasn't probably wasn't his thing to ask, but he didn't see anyone else then the people he'd already seen. His grandfather had never really mentioned anything or anyone else then the ones he'd already talked about.
He had helped Emma with the baby squirrel, it was a bit awkward wrapping the rope around her waist. He'd noticed Miss Peregrine's glare, it was uneasy. As if she felt some sort of jealousy? But that was ridiculous. Absurd. Jake had agreed to join them for supper. Emma was helping him in his grandfather's old room. He just couldn't but ask.
"Emma, could I ask you a question?"
"Jake, I told you that there are questions I can't answer." Emma said as she tied his tie.
"I know, but it's just. Does Miss Peregrine love you? Like, that way?"
Emma stilled. Almost uncomfortably.
"Jake. What's got you to even think of such disgusting things?!"
"I'm sorry! It's just, I saw her glare." Jake held his hands up in defeat.
Emma let out a sigh. Looked down before looking up again. "You must understand. Miss Peregrine, well all of us lost someone dear. It's taking her long time to actually get back to who she is. So please, stop asking questions." As she finished speaking the bell rang. They both walked down together and Jake almost sat down on Millard.
"Millard. Go and put some clothes on. Polite persons do not take their supper in the nude."
Jake almost felt sorry for him, he didn't mean to take his place really. He couldn't see him, obviously. He was, well he is invisible. During dinner, he couldn't help but stare at Miss Peregrine's right hand with that ring. Her long slim fingers with those long nails. The ring was silver. The small diamond was pretty. And shiny.
"Claire, why aren't you eating?" Miss Peregrine asked, looking with worry to Claire. Chewing on the piece of food.
"She's embarrassed in front of Jake." Hugh said, leaning over to Claire.
Jake shook his head. "Don't be. Please."
Claire looked over at Miss Peregrine with a small smile and Miss Peregrine sent Claire a wink before turning back to her own food. Claire grabbed the chicken leg and put it behind her head and a few seconds later she put the clean bone back on her plate.
"So Jake, what's your peculiarity?" Horace asked. Leaning over the table a bit to see Jake as he asked.
"Oh, I'm not peculiar." Jake stammered.
Enoch put down his fork and knife and said, "And that, my friends, is why he will not be staying with us. No matter how hard we try to persuade him."
Miss Peregrine spoke up again. Her voice light but firm. "We've spoken about this. Jake is just visiting."
Hugh opened his mouth, "He might want to say."
"Don't you want to stay, Jake?" Olive asked.
"Tonight? Or..-" Jake didn't get a chance to finish of his sentence before Claire irrupted him.
"Forever! You should stay forever." Her smile big.
"Why would he, if he doesn't have to? He can live out there, grow older, have a good time instead." Enoch said. Trying to make a clear point of why he didn't want Jake in the house. Jake could feel Emma slightly lift from her seat despite being strapped down. She was getting uncomfortable.
"He'll leave, just like his grandfather did." With that, Enoch started eating again and Emma got up and practically ran out of the room despite her heavy shoes. Miss Peregrine's call for Emma didn't stop her. As Emma left, a clothed Millard came into the room. Excusing himself. Sitting down and starting to eat his own food.
"Deep breathes Alma, you know how dear Enoch gets with new company."
Miss Peregrine closed her eyes at the voice inside her head. She was right. She slowly got up as the telephone rang. "I think you should all get ready for movie time while I answer that."
"But you always let us stay for it." Claire begged. Miss Peregrine turned around and gave the children a glare that almost scared Jake. She was a strange woman, yes she was. Miss Peregrine stepped out to the hallway, to the ringing telephone. This time, she nearly didn't answer it. Wishing the voice inside her head would come back. Missing the touch of that person with the voice nearly threw her off guard. She nearly kicked herself from going off schedule. Shaking her head, she answered the telephone and went on with the schedule.
The time went on, again. Horace's projected his dreams. One particular dream made Alma tense up. She couldn't watch it. She turned on the lights and heard all the groans from the children. It was almost re-set time. Olive asked Jake to stay and see the re-set. Enoch clearly didn't want him to. Alma felt herself chuckle softly. The arguments between Enoch and re-set. Alma stepped out in her raincoat and put on her gas mask after putting on the music. Run Rabbit Run. She would always sing along to the song-Alma kicked herself mentally again. She stopped her clock, she turned it 24 times to represent the 24 hours of the loop. She took of the gas mask and smiled towards her children.
She said her goodnight to the other children as Emma and Jake made their way out the door. Her smile faded as they disappeared from her view. She closed the door, knowing Emma would lock it. She slowly made her way up the stairs, to the end of the hallway, to her bedroom. She opened the door and walked in and closed the door again and locked it. Leaning against the door and closing her eyes.
"You know me better then I do. Can't seem to keep nothing from you. How you touch my soul from the outside. I still love you even though I'm scared. Learning to be grateful of myself. I wish I could love me like you did, how I wish I could trust myself like you did."
She moved from the door and towards her desk and sat down and started unpinning her hair. Brushing through her hair slowly. That black-blue hair. The little curls. She got undressed and dressed in her lacy nightgown and brushed her teeth and took off the makeup she'd been carrying during the day. She laid down in the cold bed, shivering slightly. Falling asleep after a few minutes.
***
"Clarice! Clarice come on. We have to get back. We can't stay in La Pari forever. We've been gone 7 years too long!" Claire let out a groan and stopped walking. "But Y/N! I love Paris!" Y/N shook her head. Her little sister was definitely a number. "Well, you wrote to Alma we'd be home, so let's go." Clarice didn't move. "I? I didn't write. She's your wife." Y/N felt herself tense up. Oh no. Y/N had forgotten to write, and she'd hopped her darling sister had written.
"When was the last time You wrote back home Clarice." Y/N looking over at her sister, with a glare almost identical to Alma's. Clarice bit her bottom lip. "5 years ago." Y/N felt her head spinning. She sat down and rubbed her forehead. Clarice started laughing. "What's so funny?!" Clarice threw her head back in laughter.
"Oh lord, the handful you will get when you get back. I mean Abe will definitely be in her side." Clarice said while patting her older sister's shoulder. "God. She'd kill me. I swear, I didn't mean to forget and I thought you'd been writing." Clarice shook her head. "But you're right. Let's go home."
***
"Jake, you're back. How wonderful." Miss Peregrine said as she held the Ymbryne tight to her.
"How's it doing?" Jake asked. "Emma said it was an Ymbryne."
"She. Not 'it'. Ymbrynes are always female." Miss Peregrine said as she looked up at Jake. "And Emma was quite correct. This is Miss Avocet." Miss Peregrine continued to give Miss Avocet the medicine.
"Her loop's in Blackpool, England." Jake said. Miss Peregrine slowly turned her head up towards him and saw him holding a piece of paper. "That was a private letter, Jake." She said as she put down the medication.
"Who is Mr. Barron?" Jake asked, slightly raising his voice.
Miss Peregrine's face expression turned blank and her right hand came almost protectively over Miss Avocet.
"Miss Peregrine, if my grandpa was involved with dangerous people. I need to tell the police." Miss Peregrine looked up at Jake again, her brows knitted with confusion.
"Police? Are you implying Abe died an unnatural death?" Her voice going quiet.
"I found him in the woods, with his eyes missing. I'd say that was pretty unnatural." Jake said as he watched Miss Peregrine raise from her chair. Miss Peregrine looked at Jake in disappointment, snatching the letter out of his hands.
"Unless essential, I don't discuss unpleasant matters. An Ymbryne's duty is to protect children, Jake." With that, she left the room, almost in a hurry.
"I'm not a child! He wanted you to tell me everything!" Jake shouted after her. Jake let out a sigh of frustration and walked down the hallway and was stopped when both Enoch and Olive came into his view.
"Oh. How frustrating for you. Between Miss Peregrine's rules and my housemates' little pact not to scare you off, it's like no one's telling you anything." Enoch was sarcastic. Olive stood quietly behind him. Jake leaned forward.
"Why don't you, then? It's not like you want me here."
This time, Olive spoke up.
"Enoch, you can't. You promised." Enoch looked back at Olive before answering.
"Olive's right. I do know someone who can get away with breaking rules though. Want to meet him?" Jake looked a bit uneasy at Enoch before following him up the stairs. Olive behind them.
"Enoch, don't do this. Please!" She grabbed his arm, begging him not to do whatever he was going to do.
"You want to spend time with me and Jake, we can all play together. That's what you said." Enoch said as they reached a door at the end of the hallway. Olive stood in front of them. Not letting them pass through the door.
"Well, here we all are." Enoch said. Olive looked up at him with a bit ready expression. "Move Olive."
"If you're going to be like that, then I don't want to be your friend." With that, Olive left. Sobbing quietly to herself while walking down the hallway.
"Enoch, leave Victor alone. It really upsets Bronwyn." Fiona said as she walked up to Enoch and Jake. Enoch put both his hands on Fiona's shoulders, "Stop fussing, Fiona. Don't you think Jake should meet everybody?" He said while looking over at Jake.
"He's trying to frighten you away, Jake. He's always jealous of Abe. And now he's jealous of you. Come and play with us instead."
Enoch crossed his arms and looked at Jake, waiting for an answer. Jake didn't really know what to say.
"I'd quite like to meet Victor." Jake said after some time. Enoch smiled and ruffed Fiona's hair. Enoch opened the door, letting Jake walk in. "After you."
In the middle of the room there was a bed, covered in thin layers of fabric, and Jake saw Victor, lying there. He slowly walked in, moving with small steps towards the bed.
"Hello, Victor. I'm Jake. I'm sorry to disturb.." Jake looked down at Victor. His eyes were missing.
"Yeah, he can't hear you." Enoch said. Enoch got on his knees and opened Victor's shirt and put the heart he held down into Victor's chest. Jake saw how Victor's chest started to heavy. Almost like a jump scare in movies, Victor sat up and looked over at Jake.
"Hello, Jake. I'm Victor. Do you want to know what killed me?" Almost like a puppet he was. It scared Jake and he ran out of the room, downstairs where Miss Peregrine and the rest of the children were waiting.
"Ah, there you are. Is Enoch with you? It'd time for our daily walk." Miss Peregrine said.
***
Alma walked into the room where Victor lay. Sighing once seeing Victor's covers down. She pulled them up, making sure they covered him and slowly sat down. Noticing the tear falling down his cheek. Softly wiping it away and pulling him up and held him against her chest.
One of the most disappointing things she'd ever done. How she couldn't be able to save Victor, how she'd let her poor child die. She never meant for him to die, she never meant for Bronwyn to lose her brother. Alma felt herself tear up.
"It's alright Alma, you did what you could and for that, Victor will forever be grateful."
She really wanted to believe those words. Oh, how hard life could be. She couldn't let herself to cry. She'd always say it was alright to cry, but Alma just couldn't. She slowly put Victor back in his place and looked at her watch. She had a few minutes before the children would be back, but she had to keep schedule.
Alma walked out of the room, closing the door. Walking down the hallway to the right and then further down that hallway and then into her own bedroom. Closing the door behind her, locking it. Just in case. She quickly walked over to the dressed against the wall, opened a drawer and pulled out a shirt that didn't belong to her.
Sticking her nose deep into the fabric, closing her eyes and breathing in the familiar sent. Holding onto the shirt tightly. Alma felt her eyes sting.
Why did life have to be so cruel? Why couldn't just one person live a life and be happy. Is it only fairytales that get their happy endings and not people in the real world? Was the 'perfect' life all just a big lie that you were told on the television outisde loops? Why couldn't you just live yourself in your dreams? Wouldn't life be so much better if you could? It would save all troubles from people.
Alma slowly sat down on the bed. Still holding the shirt tightly to her. Breathing in the sent again. Letting her eyes roll back for just a second. Accidentally losing herself in the sent. Letting a soft moan escape her mouth which caused her to blush. Hand covering her mouth as she blushed even more.
"My shirt hm?"
Alma turned around with a gasp. No one was there, she let out a sigh. Alma got up again, checked her clock and put the shirt back in the drawer and walked downstairs. Waiting for the children to arrive back home.
***
"Clarice, where was the loop again?"
"You can't be serious. We lived with Alma for years, you're married to her for gods sake!" Clarice sat down in the damp grass, crossing her arms. Letting out a huff.
"Awh, stop acting like a bloody kid! Maybe help me instead of acting like such a bloody moron!" Y/N answered to her sister.
She let out a huff and sat down on a rock. Y/N felt bad. She'd been gone 7 years too long and Alma probably thought she was dead. Just because her little sister didn't write as she used to. Y/N reaches into her pocket and pulled out a few photos. Photos she took, before she left.
Most were of Alma. It was one of the only times she'd let her time be taken from her. She missed the bird.
"Could you stop sobbing and perhaps do something to help? You cant stare at th-hey. Y/N. Was that Abe?"
Y/N looked up and saw nothing. She turned to her sister and hit the back of her head.
"Very funny."
***
The children were packing after they're realisation that they couldn't stay. As Alma had finally gotten the suitcase to close, thanks to the twins, the doorbell rang. How odd. She hadn't expected anyone. Alma walked up towards the door and opened the door and felt her whole body tense.
"Miss Peregrine, what a pleasure to meet you at last!"
Mr. Barron was holding his hand shaped knife against Jake's neck. Alma felt her breathing stop for only a second. What on earth was happening?!
"May we come in?"
Alma took a few steps back, letting him inside the house. Her children standing on the stairs.
"Children! Would you make your way down the stairs, please?" Mr. Barron shouted.
Alma raised her voice. "I give the orders in this house, Mr. Barron." Looking at him sternly.
"Not today. You should know that Jake has served his purpose. If you value his life, I suggest everyone does as they're told. Children!"
Alma raised her finger and shushed him. "No one tells my children what to do!" Alma turned around, a split of disgust in her expression. "Children, come down here, please." Her voice was strong but soft.
The children made their way slowly down the stairs.
"Miss Peregrine-"
"I thought I told you to be quiet." Alma snapped back at him. Giving him one of her famous death glares. She slowly made her way around again to look at her beautiful children. Knowing she might never see them again.
"Children, for Jake's safety, we're going to do what Mr. Barron asks. He wishes to take me with him to his rendezvous in Blackpool. So, for his protection, he'd like me to assume bird form, preferably caged. And he'd like you to make your way into a lockable room, such as the parlour." Alma turned her frame towards the parlour then back to her children before turning around to look at Mr. Barron.
"As he won't release Jake if he fears an attack could be mounted upon him once he loses his leverage. Correct, Mr. Barron?" Alma raised her chin, showing how she awfully despised him. Mr. Barron was at loss of words.
"You're sacrificing yourself and all of us, for Jake?"
Came behind her, Alma turned around and looked at Enoch.
"Me. Barrons travels with a Hollow, Enoch. Once it arrives here, we're all dead." She could almost feels Mr. Barron's wicked grin behind her. Alma saw Horace lean in to whisper something to Enoch but didn't bother to listen. It took everything not to shed a tear. She'd lost everything now. The woman she loved the most, her dear children. Everything.
She moved towards the parlours door and said her goodbye to each child that passed her, ending with a hug from Emma and the twins which made her she'd a tear. Once every child was inside the parlour, she grabbed the door handle to each door and took a deep breath and looked over her children.
"It's been my privilege, to care for you all. Goodbye my children."
Alma closed the doors and turned the lock and turned to face Barron, showing her anger through her tear stained cheeks. Taking steps forward.
"Now let him go."
"Oh, but the fun's just begun Alma." Barron let out a low chuckle.
"How dare you speak my name, filthy bastard." Alma tightened her tone. Growing more impatient by each second that passed.
Barron let out another chuckle, this time of surprise.
"My my, what words those pretty lips let out. Tell me, how's dear old Y/N doing?"
Alma clenched her jaw. Feeling as she might explode.
"How dare you speak her name?! How dare you come here, act like you own everything I have. You took her from me! How dare you mention anything of her's. I know what you did to her family, how her parents practically coward before you. On their knees begging to not die. Letting their dear children's lives pay their depth."
As Alma continued, Barron only chuckled. Jake was confused. Who was Y/N? What did this woman mean to Miss Peregrine?
"Technically I wasn't the one who sold her, her mother was. Her dear parents are still loyal to me as ever. I'd never gotten a chance to meet dear Y/N. So tell me, where is she?"
This time, it was Alma's time to be confused.
"What do you mean by that. No tricks Mr. Barron. I want the honest truth."
As he let Jake go, letting out a groan. "Listen, lady. I'd never meet her. If I had, do you think I'd be asking you? So come now Miss Peregrine. Where is she. Her mommy and daddy just wanna say hello."
Alma felt herself start to tremble. Y/N hadn't been in Barron's possession.
She'd spoken to Jake. Begging him to care of her children before turning into bird form. Flying into the cage. Leaving with Mr. Barron. If her dearest was really alive, she'd never see her again. Nor her beloved children.
***
"Emma, I have a question. Look-I know you don't answer them but it's about something Miss Peregrine said before she turned into a bird. Who's Y/N?"
Emma went quiet for a moment, not really wanting to speak. Jake let out a sigh and continued to talk.
"Mr. Barron said he'd never meet Y/N before. What does this mean-who is she?" Jake looked t Emma who's eyes looked at his. A slight tone of happiness appearing on her face.
"So, that means she could still possibly be alive." Emma's smile got bigger.
"Who is she? Is she another peculiar?" Jake was growing impatient.
Emma sighed. "Alright, if I tell you. Will you stop asking?"
Jake nodded his head and sat down and waited for Emma to speak.
"Y/N came to our home years ago, before Miss Peregrine had made the loop. She came with her sister Clarice. When they came they were both pretty young. I think Clarice was 15 and Y/N perhaps 20. I heard Miss Peregrine talk with them about what had happened to them. It wasn't really, nice."
Emma sat down herself and took a deep breath.
"Mr. Barron came to their house, in the middle of the night and killed their brother, well took his eyes. He was around 8. She talked about how their parents had sold them to Barron for their own safety. But before Barron could touch them they'd ran away. They'd taken the boat and arrived here."
Jake listened as she explained more about Y/Nk's past. But there was just one question bothering him.
"What about the ring on Miss Peregrine's finger?" Jake asked.
"Y/N and Miss Peregrine kinda fell for each other. A few years after the loop was created, they got married. Then again a few years later, perhaps 7 years ago. Both of them left, Y/N and her sister. But after two years they stopped writing back home. We heard nothing from them and since Barron wanted to recreate the experiment Miss Peregrine told you about.”
Jake nodded, shocked. He had nothing against the LGBT community but he’d never thought Miss Peregrine was a lesbian. Perhaps she wasn’t, maybe just fell for the one person she trusted most.
They went on, the plan to save Miss Peregrine.
***
“Clarice, fix it. Please. Something has happened.”
Y/N was panicking. The loop was gone, not a child in sight. Alma wasn’t here either. Clarice had the peculiarity of restoring time, she restored the loop. Made everything go back to normal. The house looked itself again but no child was there. What the hell happened. How long has the house been like this? Clarice was too busy walking to her room.
Y/N looked around, saw suitcases. Were they leaving? But why, and where? It felt strange being back in the house, but with everyone gone. Y/N walked around, touching the walls and everything. Y/N walked upstairs and into the bedroom she once shared with Alma and closed the door behind her. Alma’s perfume hitting her like a smack in the face. The scent of smoke, flowers.
She pulled open the drawer and pulled out one of the dark blue lacy nightgowns and spelled. Alma. Y/N looked out the window. It was dark and it was raining. Y/N loved the rain. She walked over to the window and sat down by the window and opened it to listen to the rain and felt herself drift off into sleep.
***
Alma opened the door and walked in. How in the hell was the house still standing? She hadn’t reset the loop. She was wet and she was tired and drained. She quickly walked into the bathroom connected to her room and took a warm, long and hot shower. She wrapped the towel around herself and stepped out. Looking in the drawer for her nightgown but it wasn’t there. Alma turned her head to the figure she saw sitting by the window and nearly had a heart attack.
She grabbed her pillow and hit Y/N with it multiple times.
“You reckless little-“
“Alma, hey! Stop hitting me!”
“I have every right to be angry at you! I thought you were dead. For 7 years you’ve been gone and then you stop writing?!”
Y/N could see Alma’s cheeks turning red from anger. She stepped forward, grabbing the pillow out of Alma’s hands and kissed her knuckles. Which made Alma shut up.
“Why’d you do that to me, to the children.” Alma’s voice was on breaking point.
Y/N looked up, into those blue eyes. “I never meant to. I forgot to write-“ Alma cut her off with a snort.
“Of course you did.” Alma took the nightgown from Y/N and dropped her towel and put it on. Feeling Y/N’s eyes on her. It made her shiver. Then she felt arms wrapped around her waist and a soft kiss on her right shoulder. “I’ve missed you. Please don’t leave again.” She felt Y/N shake her head and turned around in her arms and kissed her lover on the lips softly. Nearly losing herself in her lover’s lips. Laughing softly after feeling Y/N’s hands tickle her sides.
“I hate you.”
“You love me birdy.”

💙I am Catrina
Pairing: Alma Lefay Peregrine x Fem Lector
Author’s Note: I wanted my first Peregrine work to be different, but not than doing something with Day of the Dead and the MPHFPC universe.
Now, I decided not to go into too much detail about the altar and all that needs to be done for the day of the dead as it’s a very lengthy topic. When T/n is with Peregrine he adopted a human form.
Number of words: 984
~Master list~
One-shot
Wattpad
You get off your steed leaving behind marigold petals with every step you take, you were here for him, to guide him to the beyond.
-It’s time,- you say, placing your hand on his shoulder.
-Who are you?- asks the young man, frightened by your presence.
-I am Catrina, I am here to guide you to the beyond.
-But, I can’t leave my sister behind.
-I’m sorry, but there’s nothing I can do,- giving him a smile.
-Please, I can’t leave her alone,- she pleads looking at you with her eyes full of tears.
-I will take care of her, I promise,- extending your hand.
He hesitates for a moment, turning to see the house on fire before the closing of the loop, he takes your hand, making the marigold leaves form an arch of flowers.
You help him across the arch to the afterlife, for years Victor had been tied to his loop, but the closing of the loop frees him from the place.
- - - - -
You had kept your promise to care for his sister, in time you learned her name “Bronwyn”, you comforted her during the nights while her brother counted the days to see her again.
-But I have to ask Miss Peregrine,- said the girl a little discouraged.
-I’ll take care of her,- returning the smile to her face, -but you have to make sure all the things she likes are there.
With them the girl runs off in search of the materials.
-It’s a pleasure, Miss Peregrine,- turning to look at the bird in the tree.
It flies out of the tree into its human form
-Who are you?- asks the headmistress looking at you from head to toe.
-Y/n,- you introduce yourself with a small bow.
-And what are you doing here, Miss Y/n?
-All in due course Miss Peregrine.
You start walking towards the house leaving a petal junk, the ymbryne is taken aback at this and follows you into the house, finding her children gathered in the living room with you in the middle.
-What’s going on here?
-We’re getting ready for tonight,- you answer as if it were obvious.
-Miss Peregrine, she said she would bring Victor back,- Claire says enthusiastically.
-For one night,- you emphasize, arranging things.
The ymbryne approaches to see some kind of offering in her living room.
-Altars are made to give an offering to our loved ones, in it we put a cross, candles, flowers, incense and a picture of our loved one, as well as their favorite food,- you explain turning your back to the woman.
-I have the picture,- Bronwyn arrives handing you the picture.
-Thank you,- placing it on the highest level.
-I can take care of the flowers,- offers Fiona.
-Here you go, honey,- handing her the seeds.
-I have some candles,- says Emma taking Jake by the arm to go get them.
-I think I have a cross,- comments Enoch.
-I’d really appreciate it,- watching Olive leave with him.
Each child gets a task while you take care of putting everything in place, Peregrine can only watch how her children work together to form the altar, Alma offers you her help to finish faster, honestly she is not sure if this will work but it doesn’t cost her anything to try.
-It’s ready,- says Bronwyn admiring her brother’s altar.
-There is still something missing,- you say, making a path of marigold petals and candles appear at the entrance, -this will help illuminate his path
-What now?- asks Hugh.
-We just have to wait until midnight, but you should get ready for dinner time.
It didn’t take long for all the children to leave to get ready, Alma was planning to ask if you would join them for dinner, but when she turned around she was gone. Dinner went on as normal, at the time of the movie, at the beginning it was normal, but then the image changed to that of a woman wearing a beautiful red dress, with marigold flowers and a big hat with candles.
The children didn’t want to go to sleep but after having promised to wake them up when it was time Peregrine managed to make them sleep for a while, the ymbryne was in the living room contemplating the altar, she had always felt guilty for Victor’s death, for not having protected him.
-None of this is your fault,- you say behind her, scaring the woman.
-I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to, but I couldn’t help but see how you feel,- taking a seat next to her.
-It’s my job to protect the children and I couldn’t do it,- she says angrily.
-But you can’t, even if you have the possibility to turn back time you will never be able to save him-, in a serious tone, -the best thing you can do is to take care of his sister
-I’d better go wake him up,- he says trying to get out of the situation.
You stand there in front of the altar and start praying for Victor’s soul, with each mystery you said you felt his presence stronger, the boy was impatient to see his sister. When souls travel from the beyond to visit us we cannot see them but you would have to help him so that she could see him. When all the children came downstairs and you were finishing the last mystery, Victor appeared in front of them, making everyone’s eyes fill with tears, Bronwyn tried to hug her brother but ended up piercing him.
-You can’t touch him honey, his soul is here but not his body,- you notice the pain in the girl’s eyes and you decide to take a chance with the following, -but maybe I can do something.
A swirl of flower petals forms around you, scaring everything but Victor, when it dissipates a woman appears with a long red dress with flowers and a big hat with candles. Everyone is amazed at the sight of the woman, who even with her skull-like appearance is still beautiful.
-Enjoy your family,- you tell the boy, touching his shoulder, before disappearing and leaving behind marigold petals.
