Dream ofmd fic that you wish someone else would write so you can read?

mostly i just wish there was more longfic and genfic, but i always wish there was more longfic and more genfic in any fandom lol

i particularly want izzy genfic, stuff about him and others learning to if not "get along" then respect each other. genfic between izzy and ed that acknowledges izzy's feelings but doesn't make them "break up" as friends and partners in crime. genfic with ed getting better without that having to involve izzy leaving. genfic about izzy and the rest of the crew, where maybe he's hooking up with one of them but that's more in the background or is just a first step of him integrating into the group.

anyway let me recommend some of the fics that scratch these itches at least a little bit for me:

Alma Bonnet's Daring Adventure Izzy does leave Ed in this one, and they don't really make up, but it makes up for it by being about Alma and giving good gen content between her, Ivan, and Izzy. Also a series with even more Izzy gen in the sequels, and my favorite Izzy backstory so far!

(Be)Longing This is from the point of view! of a cat!! And it's so good!!! The cat is a lot like Izzy and forms a bond with him. And because it's from a cat's point of view the relationship stuff, while distinctly present!, is in the background because ofc a cat doesn't Get It or care lmao. One of my favorite fics in the entire fandom!

Communicating Want [tw sexual assault] It's all about Izzy baby!! About the crew learning things about him and him learning how to let them do that and accept that they are Not Like Other Men. Also has some really juicy blackhands backstory that I love. And another one of my favorite Ring Origins. Heavy, proceed with caution.
